- 2:31Thank you Alex, for so excited to have you.
- 2:33Here, are you doing today? I'm pretty good.
- 2:35It's excited. Nervous.
- 2:37Don't be nervous. Yeah, we are amazing.
- 2:40People. It's just like hanging out and
- 2:42talking about yourself for like, two hours.
- 2:45Yeah. Just think it's a very pleasant
- 2:46thing about everybody in their underwear right now.
- 2:49That's it. That doesn't help it.
- 2:52Yeah, that would make it worse. Oh.
- 3:03Staring at you? Yeah, that's saying really
- 3:10doesn't make anything better. So Alex kind of get us started.
- 3:17So let's do just like a quick background.
- 3:20Are you from Wichita? Yes, I was born and raised in
- 3:24Wichita, haven't really been out of Kansas very much.
- 3:28I've been to, like, maybe like three states.
- 3:31Like the past 20 years. So I work at high power with
- 3:35Denzel and Brady. It's up and Hutchison, and then
- 3:39I make the drive every day. So that's always fun.
- 3:42Yeah. How far is that drive?
- 3:43It's like, 45. I'm doing 80.
- 3:49That's that's Lea. Yeah.
- 3:50Right. Isn't it like 75 is?
- 3:52Yeah, it's like 70. Okay, okay, it's okay you just
- 3:55went over 5 over, it's okay. Hannah knows fine.
- 4:00Alex is trying to incriminate himself on the podcast.
- 4:03He's like, who the fuck cares if line so it doesn't matter.
- 4:09Yeah, that's why you should be yeah.
- 4:14So how long have you been tattooing for?
- 4:16You are an up-and-coming. Yeah, cuz you're how old are you
- 4:1820? Only 20 years old?
- 4:20Yeah, 21 in May. I've been tattooing a little
- 4:26over two years. Yeah, my two year was in
- 4:29October, so Very good grass. So you started tattooing two
- 4:35years ago, correct? Yeah.
- 4:36And 2020 of October 2012, October?
- 4:39What was your reason to start tattooing?
- 4:42So I was Drew. And then my mom always liked was
- 4:49saying that you're going to be tatted up and all that and I
- 4:51didn't like tattoos. So I was like, never.
- 4:54That's funny. Like, Mom now has swept leave
- 5:00when I turn like Like around 1415, my Instagram and social
- 5:05media is were just tattoos all the time.
- 5:08Also, when I was a kid, my mom was friends with a lot of
- 5:12artists, people who knew tattoo artists or people who drew a lot
- 5:15and said I should tattoo, so that kind of gets those kind of
- 5:19these influence throughout my whole life and then when I just
- 5:24started looking up, artists has on Instagram.
- 5:27And I texted, like, maybe like 100 artists throughout the whole
- 5:32state. Yeah.
- 5:34And a few replied but only one actually like, actually, I gave
- 5:37me like advice everyone else said, just wait, wait until
- 5:40you're 18, don't worry about it. Wait till you're older and then
- 5:43you can worry about that. Denzel was the only one that
- 5:47actually gave me advice on how to get started.
- 5:49I love, didn't tell her. I love her.
- 5:51She could tattoo so yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:54So what was his advice? Do you remember draw a lot?
- 5:58Make sure you're getting a good portfolio.
- 6:00D stuff like that. Everyone else was just calling
- 6:03wait until like you're 30 and then you can, then you can
- 6:06tattoo, you know? Because I guess everyone starts
- 6:08you know to be and midlife crisis.
- 6:10Yeah, I mean he could start at any age.
- 6:13Who cares. Yeah.
- 6:13You know, if this is your future, you want to do what you
- 6:16want to do at your time. If you want to do at 14th
- 6:18bucket, do I have 14. If you have the fucking Talent,
- 6:21if you have the mindset to do it, fucking do it.
- 6:24Yeah, you know, Kansas is a really traditional states.
- 6:27That is true. That is true.
- 6:29Yes. So, That's when.
- 6:32Did you start tattooing? What age was that 1818?
- 6:34Yeah. It does.
- 6:36I turned 18. That mace 18 and a half kind of
- 6:39man. Yeah.
- 6:41School and got out of covid. All the shops closed down so
- 6:44just kind of way, are you okay, so you graduated in 2020.
- 6:48Yeah, I graduated because the covid.
- 6:50Okay I feel all its fuck. Do you mean like like we were on
- 6:53Spring like that spring break? That's when like covid reached
- 6:57the US and got really bad and they close down all the schools
- 7:00and public. So they just froze our grades
- 7:02and went online and I was barely passing, so I was like, Ugh, I'm
- 7:05not going to do online so I just started just working.
- 7:09Okay, so when school shut down in March, you are gearing up for
- 7:13your graduation and you just yes, I was 17.
- 7:15So I was just working and then once I turned 18, I was supposed
- 7:20to go get my portfolio already, but all the shots were closed
- 7:24down for that whole like three, four months.
- 7:27Yeah, during that time. And then they opened up back up
- 7:30and like June July. And then I got my second tattoo
- 7:35from Sergio and then he was kind of like saying, get a portfolio
- 7:38ready that type of stuff and telling me what I should do.
- 7:42Yeah to get an apprenticeship. So yeah, damn and that propelled
- 7:45you then it's because you had like how many you had a lot of
- 7:48jobs at that time, right? Like around for, I was working
- 7:52in the mornings. So when I turn when I was 17, I
- 7:55was working at McAllister's and maybe like barely working there,
- 8:00because Would do only. They only did like three to four
- 8:04people. Yeah, time.
- 8:06But once that was over, I was working there.
- 8:08McCallister's, once I turned 18, I moved out with my friend and I
- 8:13was working for jobs. I was working in the morning at
- 8:15a landscaping place. Kind of like under the table
- 8:18type stuff when I got my second tattoo from Sergio Sean the
- 8:25owner was looking for a cleaner. Someone to help just clean up
- 8:28the station's. Once the artist is were done
- 8:30because they didn't have time, I'm to do it.
- 8:31Yeah so I asked if I could be in it he's like I'll let you know
- 8:36in a week I came back the very next day and said I want the
- 8:39job. So yeah kind of made him give me
- 8:40the job. Electric charge is cleaning up
- 8:55and then I was working at McAllister's and then I got my
- 9:00apprenticeship sometime around September and I was working that
- 9:06at the later. Evenings, once I was done with
- 9:08all the other three places, and then once I was hard to take him
- 9:13on like actual clientele and not just my friends and stuff like
- 9:16that, I quit slowly could quit all the job.
- 9:19So I quit McAllister's first I told him, I was like, can I just
- 9:22work on the Ends then after one week and I was like, can I work
- 9:25once a month? Yeah.
- 9:27Then they never put me on the schedule and I walked in just
- 9:29put my two weeks notice, which I don't really need to do but
- 9:33yeah. And then so that one off the
- 9:34table and then I quit the landscaping place and then I
- 9:40told Shawn I was leaving, so I was gonna do tattooing full-time
- 9:44in that started up in October. So wow, like you were after it.
- 9:48So like I'm just kind of curious if you could because you're 18
- 9:53like Want to gloss over the fact that you are the youngest tattoo
- 9:56artists in the state of Kansas right now.
- 9:58Yeah, you really are. You're also the youngest to get
- 10:03licensed in the state of Kansas and like I am.
- 10:06And you've been now tattooing for two years.
- 10:09You're already tattooing next, which is like a really tough
- 10:12place. Your, and then, like, your, your
- 10:15tattoo skills are just incredible.
- 10:18And I don't want to like gloss over any of that, to be honest,
- 10:21like Maize a lot about you did a Out of 18 year olds don't even
- 10:24like you know, dude that you know, because they still they go
- 10:26to college, you know, they didn't figure out what they do,
- 10:29still don't know what they want to do, you know, at 18.
- 10:31But Alex you I mean not even just say 18 year olds.
- 10:34I mean as I mean us you look at us because we're old but like
- 10:39you don't always you don't guys you guys he coughing oh
- 10:46whatever. So happy I'm so younger than
- 10:51Emily and Dusty so I don't care. The old 25 is old.
- 10:59Don't laugh at me because you're all to you.
- 11:02I know I'm oh, but you can't accept that because I'm gonna
- 11:06shut up bitch. No, what I wanted to say about
- 11:09that though, was that 18 or whatever age?
- 11:13Like, you don't always know what you're ready for or like you're
- 11:17even afraid to take that leap. So that you are just like, I'm
- 11:20taking the leap enough Opportunity Knocks.
- 11:23I'm going to take the opportunity or I'm going to
- 11:25start building it and so I wanted you to kind of like share
- 11:28a little bit about how what made you set your mind on.
- 11:33Like, I'm doing this. And I'm going to make it happens
- 11:35that. So I kind of grew up with like,
- 11:38you know, people not knowing what they want to do, or, you
- 11:41know, not being able to do to do what they love and everything.
- 11:44I know I didn't want to be 50 years, old working, you know,
- 11:47just a job. Just to work, you know, pay
- 11:49bills and stuff. Yeah.
- 11:51So I kind of always And we kind of grew up, you know, like
- 11:54strict on budgets and stuff like that.
- 11:56And then I was very fortunate, you know, to be able to do, you
- 12:01know, when I was a kid just draw and, you know, find out what I
- 12:04love early on and I want to, you know, be able to do what I love
- 12:10my whole life. So, and I was basically art and
- 12:13then I, I knew I was young, I had time on my hands, so I
- 12:18didn't want to, you know, wait till I was, you know, 30 have,
- 12:21you know, have a house and kids, and And wife and all that whole
- 12:24like, you know, life already in hand before I actually started
- 12:27chasing a dream. So I just kind of wanted to
- 12:31chase a dream beforehand and yeah, just go for it.
- 12:34Good for you. Yeah.
- 12:37That's, you know cuz like I 18 I didn't really think of all that
- 12:42too as well because I was like, okay, well I'm just gonna go
- 12:46after high school. I go to college and just figure
- 12:49out what I want to do from there, you know.
- 12:50But you yeah, you figure out what you wanted, you know.
- 12:53Yeah, my teachers were trying to give me to go to college.
- 12:56Like they're like some of them filling out forms for me to do
- 13:00like, college scholarships. I got a few but I college,
- 13:03wasn't, I knew colleges wasn't really going to go anywhere so
- 13:06yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever I wanted to do.
- 13:09You could teach yourself from a mentor and colleges just.
- 13:12Yeah to me is well you know you knew that you were yeah well
- 13:17like you knew that you wanted a career in art and honestly
- 13:22getting a college degree. Agree to get a career in art is
- 13:24just to your point just that collection.
- 13:27It's not something that the best way to start to prosper in.
- 13:32Anything are related in Northfield this together, that
- 13:34work, the only thing college is really good for is like stem
- 13:37classes. You know, stuff that you
- 13:40actually need to learn and stuff.
- 13:42So yeah. So you were like again, you're
- 13:4518. So at that time I'm imagining
- 13:48and to your point you had a lot of your teachers who are like
- 13:51I'm going to fill out scholarship.
- 13:53Since were you and I for college.
- 13:55So you had a lot of naysayers to yeah, a couple teachers like
- 14:00tell me like you're not going to make it in tattooing because you
- 14:02don't go to college. You know, you got to study
- 14:04anatomy and you know the body and all that, you got to go to
- 14:08college for that. Mmm, I studied Anatomy on a free
- 14:11college book online. Like I will take your advice.
- 14:17That's what I don't think. I need to spend more than five
- 14:21thousand dollars yours. They put a body of Nana Me PDF
- 14:26free. There's there's free Harvard
- 14:28classes online. Yeah there.
- 14:30Yeah, there is. Yeah free.
- 14:34So basically everything you did was just self-taught.
- 14:37Yeah, very unorthodox apprenticeship.
- 14:41So I basically I basically started and they just kind of
- 14:45forced me to take on clientele, you know I was kind of like for
- 14:49so when you started in June right I started in October
- 14:52October so Being sorry for the first two weeks, I was just
- 14:56tattooing friends because that's just, you know, that's what I
- 14:59wanted to do and then they're like you got to take on
- 15:02clientele. You got to take on clientele.
- 15:04So I was kind of peer pressure and taking clientele when I
- 15:06wasn't like ready at all. Ya got thrown in there.
- 15:09Just ya go just do it. Yeah.
- 15:12And I and like I remember doing it and I was just like, so
- 15:15nervous. I was shaking and everything.
- 15:17Yeah. And I told everyone I was an
- 15:18apprentice you know show them like the work I've done on
- 15:21friends and stuff like that. So I would only Take on like,
- 15:23simple work, like just lines in and black packing in black, and
- 15:27I was really it. And then, since I was young, I
- 15:31guess I kind of got a lot of young clientele is also and a
- 15:34lot of like modern tattoos stuff.
- 15:36So like fine line stuff. Oh, yeah.
- 15:38So I'm doing a lot of like, flying spot.
- 15:40Yeah. I was doing a lot of like, fine
- 15:42line script, so I got really good at that.
- 15:45And yeah. So, which house is difficult
- 15:48though? Like, how was your ass over
- 15:50that? Yeah.
- 15:51How was your first tattoo on? Person.
- 15:53How did you feel when you first touch skin?
- 15:56Like, oh, so like like, like not your friends but just like a
- 15:59random person like so it was really weird.
- 16:02It was his 21st birthday and he just got done drinking.
- 16:08He got the tattoo. He's gonna go drinking again
- 16:11that night. Yeah.
- 16:12And still remember to shout out to you, terrans for giving it to
- 16:15me again, but yeah. I was like really nervous and I
- 16:26was like, before I actually tattooed I'm setting up like
- 16:32took like 30 minutes and everything.
- 16:34Yeah, I kept on asking everyone if I should do this or not and
- 16:37then I was placing the stencil on.
- 16:40I was like okay I can, you know, just Bri.
- 16:42What was? What was the?
- 16:44It was just a cross. Okay, this is for Life.
- 16:50Yeah, we on it, everyone. Sorry and everyone who does
- 16:54Harry know did live here. So it was yeah, you're just here
- 16:57for family and friends. Oh for his birthday.
- 17:00So I was even more nerve-racking because you know if I fucked up
- 17:03and fuck it someone else in the world is seeing that.
- 17:06Yeah. But I think it came out good.
- 17:08He bled a lot and yeah I just stabbed you Appliance but you're
- 17:14fine. Yeah, he still follows me so I
- 17:18feel like that's a good thing. Yes.
- 17:19Yes. He ever came back to you for
- 17:21another tattoo? No.
- 17:22I I'm pretty sure we were talking and, you know, I think
- 17:25he had like just a week and he was staying for the bird for his
- 17:27birthday and oh yeah got ya. Did he know that you were his
- 17:32first ever client? Yeah, I told him multiple times
- 17:36so if you is if it's hurting that's okay yeah and I had a
- 17:41really like scuffed up machine. I didn't have enough at the time
- 17:44I didn't have enough money like by you know, like the very
- 17:47expensive machines. Yeah.
- 17:48So I was just using it like a machine that one of the other
- 17:52artists gave me I didn't know how to work.
- 17:54I didn't know anything about machines, you know.
- 17:55Yeah, one told me anything about a Strokes.
- 17:58Anything like that. Yeah, so that so I was just kind
- 18:01of going what I saw the other artists do and just then the
- 18:05feeling, you know, like how to feel and everything with the
- 18:08skin and machine just came. I guess a couple months later
- 18:11once I actually, you know, learned everything about it.
- 18:14Yeah. So you're saying, so you
- 18:16mentioned earlier, you had a pretty unorthodox
- 18:19apprenticeship, right? So like and right now, you're
- 18:22kind of mentioning a A couple of things that you were kind of
- 18:24learning as you went. Yeah.
- 18:25So my trainer, he was only there for my very first tattoo, like
- 18:30the one I did on my friend, like, he, you know, looked over
- 18:32it and, you know, told me, what did not to do, and what to do.
- 18:35And then after that, rarely ever saw him again.
- 18:38So, and when he did come into the shop, you never really talk
- 18:42to me, or looked at my, you know, station.
- 18:44So everything I learned is basically from, like, seminars
- 18:48and YouTube videos and watching the like other artists has And
- 18:53then if I write a question or anything, I just call or text
- 18:56Denzel and he would get right back with me like an actually
- 18:59like detailed explanation. Oh wow.
- 19:01That's awesome. So, I just kind of took his
- 19:03stuff and then when I was working at electric chair I
- 19:08would ask questions. You know, and Pete some people,
- 19:11some of them would answer, some of them are not, you know,
- 19:13because I was an apprentice at the time.
- 19:15So yeah, the people, the people who would answer and answer my
- 19:18questions, you know, and let me watch them, I'd basically pick
- 19:21up on their stuff and To put that into mind.
- 19:24So yeah, you have. So when you are practicing your
- 19:28like, okay, for sure, not going to leave electric chair job
- 19:31because at least like, well I'm cleaning.
- 19:33I can go and ask some questions. Yes.
- 19:35Yeah. So I didn't leave the electric
- 19:36chair job until I actually started tattooing like outside
- 19:39clientele outside of my friends. So, once once I did my second
- 19:43tattoo and you know, no one was looking after me, I was like,
- 19:46yeah, I gotta you know just can't figure out how to do this,
- 19:50that is crazy. How long did you do that for
- 19:56the? Well because I know that like or
- 19:59how long was your apprenticeship unquote apprenticeship for you
- 20:03really like a year year and a half I'd say year and a half and
- 20:09then I just moved out to high power.
- 20:12So that's when I year and a half was after it I took my test but
- 20:16really I finished I was able to do everything within a year.
- 20:19Yeah. Some but my trainer took a long.
- 20:22It took a Long time and you know, procrastinated every
- 20:26little thing. So yeah, but now that you're a
- 20:30so you after being at that previous shop, getting your
- 20:34apprenticeship that you then kind of you, you finish off the
- 20:37apprenticeship tied, a bow on it and went off to high power,
- 20:39right? So before I hit my one year mark
- 20:43Denzel just opened up high power and heels and he asked me if I
- 20:46wanted to work with them. Yeah.
- 20:48I was like yeah definitely and I'll be there within you next
- 20:51couple months. And at that point I was Two
- 20:53months. Yeah, and then two months turned
- 20:55into eight so but yeah, the second I passed my test.
- 21:01I basically told everyone I was quitting and paid my booth rent
- 21:05and then I just left. Mmm.
- 21:07Yeah, good for you dance. You, you literally inspired me.
- 21:13I'm like man I get told my fifteen-year-old look, look at
- 21:16this 18 year old. Could you go ahead and just
- 21:18figure out like if you're 18 years this is it I'm sorry can't
- 21:21even talk right now. Be drunk.
- 21:25If this 18 year, old knows what he wants to do.
- 21:28Then you could do it as well. For being somebody who's the
- 21:30youngest tattoo artist in Kansas?
- 21:33Well, I think that that's a really good thing that you're
- 21:36bringing up because, you know, Alex hit on something early on
- 21:39was that like, he got to explore things that he was passionate
- 21:43exactly to help him. Realize, where do I want to do
- 21:46laters? And in a lot of, a lot of
- 21:49students, a lot of people that age, they don't get to
- 21:51experience all that they do. So you could Usher a
- 21:53fifteen-year-old to say, figure out what you're going to do by
- 21:5618. But not yeah, giving them
- 21:58opportunities. Like a lot of things from like
- 22:00movie, I watch a lot of movies and TV shows and one of the
- 22:03like, one of the like, the most powerful things was like, from
- 22:07Sister Act 2. She was like, if you wake up
- 22:12wanting to sing, then you're supposed to be a singer.
- 22:14If you wake up, wanting the right then you're supposed to be
- 22:17a writer and I was just calling that just kind of stuck with me,
- 22:20you know, I wanted to draw and do art and I'm supposed to be an
- 22:23artist, so yeah, that's awesome. So like tattoo already Artistry
- 22:29was something that kind of got you in there, but you also, I
- 22:31mean, you consider, it sounds to me.
- 22:34Like you consider yourself an artist first.
- 22:35Before you do a tattoo artist, I wanted to do architecture.
- 22:39I was like what I wanted to do, and then I just kind of figured
- 22:42drawing whole bunch of buildings was really boring a whole lot of
- 22:46math and geometry. So I started looking at more
- 22:51like more And then that's when the whole social media thing
- 22:55kicked in, were just a whole bunch of tattoos started showing
- 22:57up. Yeah, and that's comic
- 22:59influenced me a lot. So social media is a really
- 23:02powerful story to it, as well. Yeah.
- 23:07So, so what do you think that, like, you'll stay in the tattoo
- 23:10industry for a while. So my plan is to, at least do it
- 23:15for another 10 to 20 years, but as like a good income.
- 23:20But I also want to make it just a side hustle because You know
- 23:23when I'm 40 I'm sure my hands are going to be you know trash
- 23:28you have carpal tunnel. Yeah I kind of want to make it
- 23:33as a side Hustle song getting into like real estate and stuff
- 23:36like that, real estate Investments trading all that
- 23:39type of stuff just making sure that you know if something ever
- 23:43does happen to mind you know like my hands or anything then I
- 23:46haven't you know another source of income.
- 23:49Yes real estate. Is a really good back up and
- 23:51come to us. Well Cuz I'm in real estate.
- 23:53It's well, it's, you know, it's it's very, you know, it you had
- 24:00to put, if you want to make money you have to put your
- 24:03people say, like, oh really say, will make me a lot of money if
- 24:06you want to make a lot of money, you have to put a lot of money.
- 24:09A lot of money into it literally like a lot, but if you're if you
- 24:16put your like you're 100% on it like if you want to sell this
- 24:19house to someone, then you can, you know, but it's basically how
- 24:23How that person when someone wants to buy a house from you,
- 24:25they want to feel comfortable and they feel that you will take
- 24:28care of them what they want. Yes, because they're not, they
- 24:31just they don't want you just like yeah here.
- 24:33Hey look at this house you know, because you need a realtor to
- 24:35look at a house you know you can't just walk up at there and
- 24:37without just not just looking at it you know?
- 24:39Yes. So I bought my house and then I
- 24:43was wait wait, how old are you when you bought a house in
- 24:45nineteen shit, look at you. So So I was living on my own
- 24:56when I was 18 and then I turned 19, I was still living on my own
- 25:00and halfway through like 18. I, you know, had a kid aren't
- 25:06you know, the girl got pregnant. So I croak.
- 25:09How you got someone pregnant? Yeah.
- 25:11And you did the thing. Yeah, you did.
- 25:13The thing, the pullout method am gonna be do, and then, and I was
- 25:21just living in an apartment. You know, from the landscapers,
- 25:24I used to, I used to work at a landscaping for an apartment
- 25:27complex and I just texted them together place open and I got in
- 25:32for, you know, like very cheap. Yeah, they do help a lot with
- 25:35that. People, people who help
- 25:37themselves living like a six, hundred dollar apartment like
- 25:40350. Yeah.
- 25:43So but once I turned 19 I was like, damn I can't really have a
- 25:49kid, you know, in this apartment you know, a lot of people around
- 25:53When we crying a lot. So I was looking at a house and
- 25:55then my friend's dad, he owns a lot of places.
- 25:58So I was like, I'll rent one out to you and then after a year we
- 26:00can see if you want to buy or not rent to own.
- 26:04Yeah. And then after two months of
- 26:06renting for him, he was like you just want to buy it now.
- 26:09She's like I don't want it. It was at the time when the
- 26:12market was really good. Sorry.
- 26:14I was like, you're like, you literally.
- 26:16Do you live the best life there, covid.
- 26:20Like, so gotta house. Richie.
- 26:22Cheap. You got interesting.
- 26:25Yeah. So I was like okay but so I
- 26:30bought the house at 110 right next to the school.
- 26:33So it's a school like starter family.
- 26:36Home, that percent interest rate, all that type of stuff.
- 26:39Wow, I'm percent. Wow, look at you.
- 26:44Yeah. So I bought a house during covid
- 26:47to as well. My my interest rate is amazing
- 26:50just going to say that and then So I've had it for over a year
- 26:55now and then my plan is to buy an actual like a house that I'll
- 27:00actually you know want to live in full time.
- 27:02So hopefully like in a like like on the northeast side or on the
- 27:06west side, you know, somewhere where as an opportunity to, you
- 27:11know, appreciate in value. Yeah.
- 27:13So like I know like in Maize or building new houses, so yeah,
- 27:16intended 15 years, they'll be worth more.
- 27:20So I'll rent the ones. I have a tyrant the one Now I
- 27:23have now and then just keep doing that buying starter homes
- 27:26and renting those out and then hopefully move to commercial
- 27:28buildings because that's, you know, more long-term.
- 27:31Stay wow. Yeah, every girl who ever
- 27:34listens this gonna fall in love with you.
- 27:40What I mean, I think like that. Yeah.
- 27:45You know, speaking on that part like you really are just like a
- 27:48go-getter. Alex.
- 27:49You literally are like you. We look at stops you.
- 27:52We look 22 2020. I mean, and there was a lot of
- 27:56things that were really tough that year for a lot of people.
- 27:59Yeah. You know, things were hitting
- 28:01hard, you were getting ready to almost graduate.
- 28:05You're trying to figure things out where to go next and you're
- 28:07like, this is my opportunity. Well, things are closing.
- 28:10I have time things were cheap back.
- 28:12Then, you know, gas was like 180.
- 28:15I just got into it when I was 16, I broke both my wrists.
- 28:19So I want a lawsuit against the school and yeah.
- 28:22So How'd you break your wrist, dude.
- 28:24How lucky are you thinking can you go by?
- 28:27Would you? I don't know if I would consider
- 28:29breaking your wrist. Okay, not lucky, but you won,
- 28:32but like, go pick my lottery ticket numbers.
- 28:36So, when I was 16 in there, we had a construction at school.
- 28:38I went to East High and they had really bad scaffolding.
- 28:42We used to the teacher, he had his own business, where he built
- 28:47houses or sheds for cut, his customers, and he'd have his
- 28:50students build them. That's how we learn, how to
- 28:52build. Things.
- 28:54But for this one, we were building concession stand for
- 28:56the football field and we're working on the roof in the
- 28:59scaffolding was wooden and rotten and all that.
- 29:01There's like, two new metal ones, but they're on the other
- 29:04side. I saw, I was using the wood and
- 29:05rotten one and I stepped on a board and it broke through and I
- 29:09fell and landed both my on, both my wrists on concrete.
- 29:15You know, I I thought they were spraying didn't feel broken.
- 29:18I thought their sprained and I went inside, we had like 10
- 29:22minutes before. Class ended.
- 29:23I went to pick up my phone. I couldn't do that.
- 29:25So I went to the doctor. He told me was broken and we
- 29:29tried talking to the school. They didn't want to talk to me.
- 29:31Oh yeah. So we decided, you know, to sue
- 29:34them and all that and my liver was kind of my order was kind of
- 29:38as he took their first offer and then I didn't make them pay
- 29:41anything for. So I had to pay a lawyer fees
- 29:44and medical fees, but oh he was gorgeous.
- 29:47But so I got so he settled for Teen?
- 29:53Because they deleted the footage of me fall.
- 29:55Yeah. So that was like shit.
- 29:57Yeah. So they did, you know, did a
- 29:59whole bunch of sketchy and shady shit.
- 30:01Oh, that's fucked up 15,000. And then after, you know,
- 30:04medical bills and lawyer fees, I was ended with eight and a half
- 30:08and I was put into a CD Council. Once I turned 18, I got that.
- 30:12And I was like, okay, this is the start of my apprenticeship
- 30:14money, you know, this is what I use because it, you know,
- 30:16everyone's telling me 10 to 10 5 to 10K.
- 30:19Yeah. Luckily mine was 10 by talk to
- 30:22He wanted five up front, I talked him down to 35 at first
- 30:26and then so I had all the other, the rest of the money you spend
- 30:29on, you know, supplies and everything.
- 30:32So when covid hit everything was very cheap.
- 30:34So I just knew that, you know, you're like this is my
- 30:36opportunity to. Yeah, I'm buying it now and
- 30:39usually, you know, it's like, you know, trading and stocks,
- 30:42you know, once things hit a really big low, just going to
- 30:44have it really time high. So yeah we big high so damn.
- 30:49So right now two years later you're getting all that high it
- 30:52like The return is coming if everything's a level out now.
- 30:55But yeah. Well yeah.
- 30:57But like what I mean is in your skill sets and in like now that
- 31:02you're in a shop where you're growing a lot more, we're now,
- 31:05like aren't your pretty booked out pretty young, but I just
- 31:08finished up booking up March. So, I'm looking for April at the
- 31:12moment. Dad, that's incredible.
- 31:16That is very incredible. Yes, that was shit.
- 31:20So because you broke both of Of your wrist.
- 31:23Does it hurt to try? Are you good?
- 31:25No, it used to. So I used to play a lot of piano
- 31:29and where my wrist broke, it broke.
- 31:32I can't extend my fingers out a lot.
- 31:34So, you know, holding a machine holding my fingers close
- 31:37together. It doesn't hurt as bad.
- 31:39Usually, my left hand where I'm holding like my paper towel and
- 31:41stretching the skin a lot. It'll still like like lockup,
- 31:46but that's very rarely happens. Now since I just, you know, I
- 31:49work a lot on my wrist and make sure I'm taking care of good.
- 31:52Are them. So yeah, nothing really hurts
- 31:55them anymore so that's good. That's good.
- 31:57I used to but yeah, now you're like what the stress Falls
- 32:00constantly trying to squish them.
- 32:02Not really any more ice. I started working out and doing
- 32:06a lot of risks workouts and just strengthening them.
- 32:09So God helps a lot. Yeah.
- 32:13What's that one workout? We're like What is it called?
- 32:15Start to the Sea. Oh my God.
- 32:22It's like, it's like where you oh God?
- 32:26Yes. Yeah.
- 32:28Are you okay? Just more weight lifting type
- 32:32stuff? Okay, but you're talking about
- 32:33like you stretch out your wrist, more, that sort of thing before
- 32:36or after. Okay.
- 32:36Okay. Because I hear like Collison,
- 32:39calisthenics really good for your wrist to.
- 32:41Oh yeah, calisthenics is more just body lifting in instead of
- 32:45weightlifting and powerlifting. It's more just body.
- 32:48Yes, you don't really use stuff. Tough.
- 32:50Yeah, I've also heard the like because of that that it's really
- 32:53good on building your the body and yeah building a lot of
- 32:57muscle and strength. Yeah.
- 32:58Unlike your wrist is what I'm talking about.
- 33:00The like because of all of that is through their you use a lot
- 33:03of your wrists and calisthenics. Yeah.
- 33:06I know a couple people who did it.
- 33:08I wish I was strong enough, so funny.
- 33:10How that works? It's like I can that's just a
- 33:12step. Yeah, it's funny how that works
- 33:14is because you're like, oh, I can deadlift this much and it's
- 33:16like, but I can't pull myself up.
- 33:20And do a pull-up. That's me.
- 33:22I can't squat there. I had from my bench press.
- 33:25Not that I have to use a band as a use, a band, lift myself up,
- 33:29like probably like two bands. So let me yeah.
- 33:32All you gotta do is start, that's all it is, exactly?
- 33:35Yeah, no. I mean, it takes time for sure
- 33:38though. Yeah.
- 33:39Yeah, consistency is key. So it is and I think that you're
- 33:43living proof of that, it really is like, even me 30.
- 33:48I'm like, hmm. Wow, I should really You start
- 33:50figuring out what I want to do. I think that this might be our
- 33:57sorry Dusty where you going to say something?
- 34:00I forgot what I was going to say, actually, oh, I remember
- 34:06it's okay. I'm like, 36.
- 34:08I don't know what I wanted to join me.
- 34:13Look at him. Have you listened to him?
- 34:18Dusty has like five. Let's see what?
- 34:20Let's see. What compare myself to Alex.
- 34:22Okay, so I bought a house, not at 19 Paris.
- 34:25In is, is bad at 30? I did we got a good percent
- 34:30interest rate, that's good. Yeah.
- 34:34As long as you just start, doesn't matter.
- 34:36The age of fact long as you start.
- 34:38Exactly. That's true.
- 34:40This is a good break time. Yeah, let's take a quick break.
- 34:43Yeah, so that way we could go ahead and do the mocktail.
- 34:48Yes. Does your 20 video mocktail for
- 34:52you? No alcoholic.
- 35:15In the mood for Christmas. Are you feeling very jolly?
- 35:30Emily? Jolly.
- 35:32Jolly Christmas. Did you have a good break?
- 35:38It was a great PTO. Welcome back, everybody.
- 35:44We're back from our break. He's good to you.
- 35:47High-caste segment to Alex Garcia.
- 35:50I hear fan dancers got all the ingredients for the drinks.
- 35:55Emily. What's a fair answer making for
- 35:57us today? We've got a mocktail, right?
- 35:59Yes, we have a mocktail today. So Fanny you want to tell us
- 36:03what we have here? We are going to have a my God, a
- 36:12cow up. It Bata.
- 36:12I was just I totally blanked it's super easy to make.
- 36:16It's literally just you have to have freshly scream like
- 36:19screamed. Squeeze, squeeze death, thank
- 36:22you. I'm sober, guys.
- 36:24This is a box. Tell, but freshly squeezed lime
- 36:29juice and they'll put Chico and then all you have to all you do
- 36:33is top it off with a keen. So it's a super, super easy
- 36:36drink to make So we just pour a little bit of lime juice and
- 36:43then the rest, we're going to top it off with the local Chico.
- 36:54Sounds fizzy, that does sound so easy.
- 36:59This is made with love, Alex, we love mocktail as well.
- 37:06Seems like you guys love alcoholic?
- 37:08Yeah, you should tell Emily that I fucking asked Emily.
- 37:19How much our listeners I think want to know how much you spend?
- 37:24Not to say that people are going to think I'm the Sugar.
- 37:30Mama, I'm trying to be the sugar baby.
- 37:33You're right. You're right.
- 37:34Yeah. You definitely spend a lot more
- 37:37than I do. I'm just a very expensive
- 37:40person. Even the guy I'm talking to.
- 37:42He's like, are you drunk right now?
- 37:44I'm like, no, he's like on your foot Snapchat.
- 37:49I saw you take at least six shots of tequila and I'm like, I
- 37:53did not or do you like or do you like to go eat out where I like
- 38:01to go eat? Yeah, it depends on what I'm in
- 38:05the mood for Like a sit-down restaurant or like a yeah,
- 38:09you're gonna go. So yeah.
- 38:10The restaurant Chile's is always really good.
- 38:14Damn chilies are Texas Roadhouse.
- 38:17I love, Texas Roadhouse biscuits.
- 38:19Oh, me more bread or roles where they call it?
- 38:22Roll. What do you think?
- 38:24It's good. Very limey.
- 38:26Those are Lemony. Why me?
- 38:28Why me I'm so bad at? Let me hang out with me.
- 38:35We always forget. We always get compute.
- 38:37Confused between lime and lemon. It's too complicated.
- 38:41Like we don't use the yellow ones at which is lemon.
- 38:44We only use lime. That's true.
- 38:46Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which we called anymore.
- 38:48And so, I don't know. I can't mom.
- 38:50Yeah, it just confuses us too much.
- 38:52Anyways, I'll must come back to you, okay?
- 38:55So we talked about who you are. What was your goal was your
- 38:59passion, or anything like that, your interest rate was 2%.
- 39:06Tell us about. We're going to go back to
- 39:08tattooing, what is your tattoo style?
- 39:11Like what's your idea of it? So I like to do a lot of
- 39:15realism, a lot of portraits, a lot of hands.
- 39:19I like to show a lot of contrast in my work.
- 39:23So when I was started tattooing around saying, you know,
- 39:25boldwood Holt, bold will hold. So and I didn't really like
- 39:29doing lines. So I just, you know, just did
- 39:32Black and put a lot of contrast and So that kind of just stuck
- 39:39with me. Sounds noble, black shows out a
- 39:42lot more and Pops things out. So I use a lot of skin breaks, a
- 39:46lot of black and a lot of, you know, realism sir, realistic
- 39:50work. So that's kind of like my style
- 39:53that one's really good. Do your your detail on this is
- 39:58like amazing. Yeah I like to show a lot of
- 40:00detail my worker at least she'll try to show a lot of like
- 40:03emotion type stuff. Uh-huh.
- 40:07Does that a lot, does a lot of that stem from your own
- 40:12influence in? Like do you normally draw paint
- 40:15what you do? So, um, I usually draw I do.
- 40:18I do have some paintings, but for the main part I usually do
- 40:21charcoal drawing, okay? If you like look down at the
- 40:23bottom, very bottom on my Instagram, where you can see,
- 40:26like, the stuff I did when I was in high school and that you can
- 40:29kind of see that, like, the emotional like lot of black.
- 40:32Lot of contrast type stuff. Mmm.
- 40:34In my work. I like the one tattooing, like,
- 40:36that's Chris room. Your is like, I asked like the I
- 40:40asked the shop, if I could take pictures of everyone.
- 40:43Yes, I could, you know, draw them for a school art project
- 40:46and yeah, Chris is picture came up the best.
- 40:50Yeah, I'm just shook like how your your work is, it's just
- 40:56when you were well. Like even the tattoo saw that
- 40:59you have, you know, like we're you at first like as an
- 41:03apprentice, we understand that a lot of our other tattoo artists
- 41:06that we've had on the On the show on the podcast have shared
- 41:09with us that they do end up having to take like any and all
- 41:11work. Is that?
- 41:12Yes. So I deleted a lot of this stuff
- 41:15or archived it. A lot of the stuff on my
- 41:17Instagram, just because I felt like you're trying to build up
- 41:20y'all trying to build a profile. You know, I didn't want people,
- 41:22I started a lot of people wanting, you know, script or,
- 41:25you know, small type stuff work. And, you know, I wanted to do
- 41:28bigger pieces. So I just started taking that
- 41:30stuff off my Instagram. I'll still do them.
- 41:33But you know, people just can't, you know, just look at it and
- 41:36see, that's what I do. Okay, that's what I did.
- 41:38A lot of lot of script, a lot of Fine Line type stuff.
- 41:41So I just started showing a lot more portraits and lot more
- 41:44realistic work. So, like the first, like the
- 41:46second tattoo on my Instagram is a picture of a skull and face,
- 41:50and I was like, my first portrait ever actually tattooing
- 41:53the face and stuff. Yeah.
- 41:55And then just kind of progressed from there.
- 41:57So but your line, work statues are really great to like, not
- 42:01one that I'm looking at the, well, the one, with the flowers.
- 42:04Yeah. Did end up keeping it.
- 42:07That's the one right here. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:10So I like I tried. I look at you, what does that
- 42:13cost shading right there tippling.
- 42:15Yes, definitely. Damn, you know.
- 42:18Yeah, we'll keep a good Line work.
- 42:20Why don't you break this down verbally so that someone can try
- 42:23to go figure out. Yeah, that's me.
- 42:25Basically, it's basically half of face the from the, from the
- 42:29eye level down and then on top is a bunch of peony flowers with
- 42:33the moon, in the background and some leaves.
- 42:37And It's just kind of neo-traditional type artwork
- 42:41with the bit of color in it. So yeah, so I try to do good
- 42:45Line work but I like to do a lot more like realistic and hiding
- 42:50those lines. Have you ever you know how like
- 42:55tattoo artist they have when they they print print stencils
- 42:59with stencils? Have you ever tried it in like
- 43:01freehand or anything? Like I usually don't do a lot of
- 43:05free hinges because a lot of my students like myself stencils
- 43:07have are very complex. I even put a lot of details in
- 43:10my stencils and like sometimes should appoint like where you
- 43:14can't even tell what it is. You just see a whole bunch of
- 43:16scribbles basically. So, so I try not to do freehand
- 43:20anything. Unless like, I'm just filling in
- 43:24like a missing part of this tensor, that anything like that.
- 43:28So I usually don't do a lot of free hand, so unless I
- 43:31absolutely need to and it's very sad and usually when I need to
- 43:34it's very, very simple, but yeah.
- 43:37Yeah. Usually my stencils are very
- 43:38complex for me not to do any free hand on it.
- 43:42Like dude your your work is amazing.
- 43:45Thank you. What would you say is one of
- 43:52your favorite time? Yeah, you've done.
- 43:54Oh well that's a good. It depends on the time period.
- 43:57So if you were if you ask me like maybe when I first started
- 44:01it would be the Edward Scissorhands.
- 44:04That's kind of like what kind of dad that's kind of like what am
- 44:08I guess? I guess blew me up.
- 44:11I guess I post, I posted a whole bunch of artwork.
- 44:15My tattoos on the Idle Hands page for the very first time And
- 44:19no one had posted in there for like a year before hand, and I
- 44:22posted a whole bunch and then I was only booking like maybe two
- 44:26to three days out after that. And then, after I posted it, I
- 44:29was booking out, you know, months ahead and that gained a
- 44:32lot of traction for me, especially the Edward
- 44:34Scissorhands. And then after that, I just
- 44:37started kind of going more towards people.
- 44:39Start asking for a lot more, like, realized realistic, like
- 44:43portraits hands to that type of stuff, so that's kinda like the
- 44:47stuff I like Like so that Edward Scissorhands would be like when
- 44:50I first started or the Medusa. Yeah, that's it.
- 44:58Recently, I think it would have to be um, the statue of David
- 45:03when I just did. I've been wanting to do statue
- 45:05of David for like the longest time.
- 45:07Like a big piece of it and I was finally able to the Albert
- 45:12Einstein's. Also, a really good one.
- 45:13Yeah. That one and that one's Fallen
- 45:16Angel painting of Lucifer. And that one's in color, that
- 45:19was like, my first, like, doing something like realistic and
- 45:23color or semi-realistic in color.
- 45:25So I was happy to do, be able to do that.
- 45:28So what's that? So I don't answer was this over
- 45:31again that power. Yeah.
- 45:32All this is Idle Hands. I think my first post at high
- 45:35power would be like a picture or a tattoo of the on the leg where
- 45:40it's like two faces and one of them is blurred out.
- 45:45Yeah, it'd be it look different from every all the other
- 45:48pictures. Right?
- 45:49But yeah one mostly which one that one?
- 45:53Yes yes I did. Yeah dude look at that one right
- 45:57there in the corner that one's really good dude.
- 46:03So everyone right now this is the part of the show where we
- 46:06like to go through artist Instagram so you can follow Alex
- 46:11at Alex Garcia Arts. Yes, right.
- 46:14With an S right? Yes, no spaces in between.
- 46:16Yep. No spaces in between you can go
- 46:18through his profile and try to find the tattoos that we're
- 46:23talking through or we might just even repose.
- 46:25Them on the painters who just so you could easily find them but
- 46:27we're you know this is the part where we like to go through the
- 46:31profile and start talking through them that Betty White
- 46:34one. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:37I like that one. Wow.
- 46:42I think we're all just like incredibly mesmerised again
- 46:44because I think we tend to although ages.
- 46:49Definitely one thing first post the smeared face.
- 46:53Oh, okay. That's the like one right there.
- 46:55Okay. Good.
- 46:56Although facial features are blurred out, so hmm.
- 47:00So I'll be finishing that when I think next week.
- 47:03Oh nice. Yeah, yeah.
- 47:05So this is a two parter then, yeah, yeah.
- 47:08It's kind of like a positive and negative type thing.
- 47:11Hmm, so I want the other side's going to be like, more light
- 47:14type stuff, instead of a whole bunch of black.
- 47:16Yeah. This is just so crazy how
- 47:18you're, you know, you're 20 years old and you know, like a
- 47:23lot of tattoo artists are like starting like at 18 as well as
- 47:27you two and, you know, they started the, you know, they
- 47:32start from like, how do I say this right now?
- 47:37How to make shots? I will come back to me.
- 47:45Okay. Okay, okay.
- 47:46We'll say it will save you for later and later, Emily lost her
- 47:51Trail. I did.
- 47:52I did I lost my train of thought.
- 47:55I think about it. So Alex, how, how often are you
- 48:05tattooing right now? Like, let's talk through your
- 48:07like, work-life balance. So I usually tattoo Monday
- 48:10through Saturday, okay? It used to be Monday through
- 48:12Sunday, just all days before and that was before I had my kid but
- 48:16after I had my kid, I used to spend Sundays with him full day
- 48:20so he talked to six days a week. Yeah.
- 48:23And you know song can't even count.
- 48:26It's on cancels. If it's if it's like they you
- 48:30know, unexpectedly get sick like you know the night before or
- 48:33anything like that or they can show up.
- 48:35I usually take that day off unless I have someone you know
- 48:38wanting to get in like right away.
- 48:39Then I'll be able to do that. If it's a couple if they you
- 48:41know like reschedule or cancel a couple days before I usually
- 48:44post it on my socials who wants to get in that type of stuff.
- 48:48So I usually take, you know, the days I, you know, don't have to
- 48:50work, you know, just doing that for like actual life.
- 48:53Things Jeweler's. Yeah.
- 48:56Because you own a house and have a kid.
- 48:58Yeah you have house owner. He's like mowing the damn line
- 49:04now right now, but but not right now but like you know, typically
- 49:07another simple still mowing their yard to as well.
- 49:10Just believe there's a small-time a business owner who
- 49:13likes some who while back asked if she could mow my lawn, so
- 49:16nice. I just pay him and he mows my
- 49:19lawn, every the best thing ever. Yeah, I tell my friends like oh,
- 49:23I pay somebody to mow my grass there.
- 49:25Like you really pay something, you don't have to do the work
- 49:30and you're helping a Business. So yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 49:33You get your time back. So what do you enjoy?
- 49:38We enjoy doing instead of detecting.
- 49:40Like do you have any other Hobbies instead of so painting
- 49:44really I just watch a lot of movies and TV shows.
- 49:48I'm starting a family guy right now.
- 49:51Okay, so I love Family Guy and I am I starting from season like
- 49:56Jesse's 1 episode 1, yes, you're trying to pinch it.
- 50:01My chick talk started showing a lot of Family Guy, act like
- 50:04everyone's lately. I'm yeah.
- 50:06So my brother is 15 years old and he's watching Family Guy to,
- 50:09as well. He said, he said a lot of Family
- 50:11Guy has been popping up with his toughest cop before it never
- 50:14really interests me. And then I watched a whole bunch
- 50:16of clips and I was like, damn, this is pretty funny that is the
- 50:19shit they say. That's how old we are.
- 50:21Yeah that's like does it looked over heels?
- 50:23Like you're starting family. I got when I was just like going
- 50:26on the pages dedicated to posting the clips.
- 50:28I was just scrolling through them like hours on end.
- 50:30So I was like, I might as well just Watch the show.
- 50:32What do you think of Family Guy? It's funny.
- 50:34I like it. I get a lot of the references.
- 50:37We used to watch Family Guy. When do you start watching
- 50:40Family Guy density? Oh God.
- 50:42Her like 2003. I was one year old
- 51:14A whole lot anymore. Not quite my style.
- 51:17I'm sorry. Wait wait how are you?
- 51:24Is this again? I was born in 2002.
- 51:33She's not laughing at your age. Emily's old.
- 51:45Wait, what kind of 2000-2001 right 2001?
- 51:50You start watching this initiative. 2002, I was 10 years
- 51:53old. How old are you?
- 52:00You have older siblings might have watched it when you were
- 52:0410. Maybe my uncles, Aunts, Uncles
- 52:10that washed it. When you're ten, probably let
- 52:12you sit there and watch it to be dead.
- 52:14That's how they babysit me. They put on Family Guy and I was
- 52:17watching at 10 years old. Yeah, shout out to Uncle knock.
- 52:25It was, you know, it's funny when I was when I was 10 when I
- 52:29was like nine, 9 10 years old, my uncle uncle knock, he took
- 52:32care of me, him and his two best friends in high school and his
- 52:38mom and dad will go, will go to work and they say, okay, go
- 52:43watch Emily and Lisa, you know, and get them ready for school.
- 52:47Here's these high schoolers, you know, getting ready a
- 52:51nine-year-old, take them to elementary school.
- 52:55So yeah. So shout outs on cano and Sam
- 53:01and now, Emily gets drunk with them.
- 53:03We do now, he calls me a bitch. If I don't have time grows.
- 53:08I'm your knees. A little kind of movies.
- 53:12Do you like? So, I like really just really
- 53:15anything interesting. I'll watch anything from horror
- 53:18horror to romantic comedy romantic, anything like that,
- 53:24the most And when I watch is really good, so, Tyler Perry.
- 53:27I love Tyler. Perry Confessions of a marriage.
- 53:29Counselor, the plot twists in their crate.
- 53:32I need you to watch Tyler Perry's plays.
- 53:36Mmm, you know, watch those. Those are the best ones.
- 53:40Yeah. But the Tyler Perry marriage
- 53:42counselor, that one that was I was like, jumping out of my
- 53:45seat. I was like, holy shit.
- 53:46What? I have not seen that.
- 53:49Yeah, it was really. I think it just came out.
- 53:51It can't. I think it's more recent.
- 53:53I can't came out this year. It's on Netflix until the end of
- 53:56the month. I was like, yeah, Tyler Perry's,
- 53:58really good. So I might as well watch it.
- 54:00It's kind of like a Diary of a Mad Black Woman.
- 54:03It's kind of takes on, like the feeling of that, that was the
- 54:05largest movie. I watched with Tyler Perry, and
- 54:09then I heard he had plays and I was like, who I need to watch
- 54:12the plays. And dude, the plays are better
- 54:15than the movie. Like it's amazing.
- 54:18He breaks a lot of carrot, he breaks character, Everybody
- 54:20Breaks Everybody Breaks character at the play.
- 54:23It's hilarious. But it won't eat it here.
- 54:26Tyler Perry go from a dieta just to one of them.
- 54:32He was like, oh yeah, he's taught me a lot
- 54:51about life to as well. No, I'm good.
- 54:54I'm serious. Because like they teach you a
- 54:57lot of things like, just basic, do whatever you want.
- 55:00Don't get caught. Yeah, yeah, literally.
- 55:03And it's a bitch. Fuck up.
- 55:04You fuck her up. If you want to carry a gun, you
- 55:08carry a gun fight the cops at all.
- 55:41I came to the conclusion while. I don't have any tattoos guys,
- 55:45it's because I can't commit. Can't commit because she's a
- 55:50pussy. I just can't commit basically.
- 55:54So Look at how hard that looks hard.
- 55:58That look like your arm weight on my right on my right side.
- 56:01Yeah, maybe she was a trucker. So before we wrap up, what is
- 56:08your favorite moment in your career, so far?
- 56:11Ooh, anything that's a tough. That's a tough one.
- 56:16We'll wait. Probably like hearing, like you
- 56:21got an apprenticeship like that's kind of when I knew like,
- 56:24I'm here like I can get started on everything I wanted you work.
- 56:28So yeah, it's like the hard work pays off, you know, that type of
- 56:31stuff. So just kind of hearing and
- 56:33shaking hands, you know, hearing like you got, you got an
- 56:36apprenticeship here. So yeah, you can actually start
- 56:38doing what you love. So that's also one more thing.
- 56:43What, what can you, tell our listeners?
- 56:46You know, from you starting from 18 years old, what somewhere
- 56:50device that you can give to other people as well?
- 56:54If it feels right, you gotta go for it, don't let other people,
- 56:58you know, tell you what to do or influence you and bat at least
- 57:02badly, you know, be you know maybe you're wanting to get into
- 57:06the industry or anything, you know?
- 57:08If you're young there's going to be a lot of people that you
- 57:10know, a lot older say they've been in the business for, you
- 57:13know, ages and they know a lot better.
- 57:15But, you know, if a lot of people are closed minded and
- 57:20want to stick to the old ways. So you gotta know Younger people
- 57:25now are, you know, lot smarter than you know, they do a lot
- 57:28more at least with social media-based, you know, we have
- 57:31connections around the world. So I feel like, you know, we
- 57:35might not know technical wise, you probably don't know much but
- 57:39feeling-wise you have a good idea of where to get started and
- 57:42know what to do. So, yeah.
- 57:44Well Alex, you literally set everything with you have to say
- 57:48and I hope everybody hears that you could just do anything as
- 57:52long as you put your mind to it. Honestly.
- 57:55So Fanny. You want to give our little?
- 57:57Yes, here's Alex. Thank you again seriously, thank
- 58:00you for coming on, you've really inspired us.
- 58:02You've inspired a lot of people that are going to listen to this
- 58:04episode so about Reba but Eva buddy.
- 58:09Bubba Bubba.
