- 0:03Speaker 1: unto them.
- 0:03Speaker 2: But the word preached did not profit them, because their.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Faith did not feed on the word. The word of
- 0:10Speaker 1: God is the life support of our faith.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We live by the word of God. Blessed be God
- 0:22Speaker 2: and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Proverbs 24 verse
- 0:25Speaker 2: 14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul.
- 0:32Speaker 2: The knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul. When thou
- 0:35Speaker 2: hast found it, then there shall be a reward. And
- 0:39Speaker 2: thy expectation, thy expectation shall not be cut off. Welcome
- 0:46Speaker 2: to Faith Feed episode 199. The knowledge of wisdom. Knowledge
- 0:51Speaker 2: of wisdom. One of the basic apparatus for living life
- 1:00Speaker 2: is wisdom. Wisdom is the principal word thing. And the
- 1:05Speaker 2: Bible or Jesus Proverbs saying that we should seek it,
- 1:09Speaker 2: we should place priority on it so that our soul
- 1:13Speaker 2: can be comforted in the affairs of life. Wisdom is
- 1:16Speaker 2: how we navigate life. The Bible saying in verse 13,
- 1:20Speaker 2: my son, eat thou honey because it is good. He says,
- 1:24Speaker 2: and the honeycomb which is sweet to thy taste. So
- 1:29Speaker 2: shall the knowledge. Then he now says, so shall what?
- 1:32Speaker 2: The knowledge of wisdom. So the knowledge of wisdom is
- 1:36Speaker 2: like honey to your soul when embraced. Yes, the Bible
- 1:39Speaker 2: shows us in Proverbs 19 that for the soul to
- 1:42Speaker 2: be without knowledge, it is not good. Just like honey
- 1:46Speaker 2: is good to your taste bud, your flesh. He says,
- 1:49Speaker 2: so is the knowledge of wisdom, good knowledge. So when
- 1:54Speaker 2: your soul hungers and thirsts, the quenching of that thirst
- 1:58Speaker 2: is the knowledge of wisdom. Your soul must seek, search
- 2:02Speaker 2: after God, must hunger and thirst after righteousness for the
- 2:06Speaker 2: knowledge of wisdom. Because this righteousness thing, even if our works,
- 2:12Speaker 2: you need the balance. Knowledge of wisdom brings that balance.
- 2:15Speaker 2: It now says for the soul to not be with knowledge,
- 2:17Speaker 2: it is not a good thing. And it now says
- 2:20Speaker 2: that one of the characteristics of the soul being without
- 2:23Speaker 2: knowledge is that a man becomes hasty. A man lacks
- 2:26Speaker 2: patience in all his endeavors. Knowledge of wisdom is lacking. Indeed,
- 2:33Speaker 2: God gives wisdom.
- 2:34Speaker 1: To the righteous.
- 2:35Speaker 2: The Bible shows us in Proverbs 2, verse 7, that
- 2:39Speaker 2: he laid up sound wisdom.
- 2:42Speaker 1: For the righteous man.
- 2:44Speaker 2: That is the reason why the expectations of the righteous
- 2:48Speaker 2: will not be cut short. Proverbs 23, it says, Let
- 2:51Speaker 2: not thy hearts envy sinners. And the scripture tells us
- 2:55Speaker 2: here that, but we should be in the fear of
- 2:59Speaker 2: the Lord. That's the only way for we not to
- 3:02Speaker 2: be in that place of envy and jealousy over sinners
- 3:05Speaker 2: is that we embrace. Remember, the fear of the Lord
- 3:07Speaker 2: is what? The beginning of wisdom. So we must embrace
- 3:10Speaker 2: the understanding of the fear of the Lord. Then he
- 3:12Speaker 2: now says in verse 18 that surely that's after you're
- 3:15Speaker 2: able to embrace the fear of the Lord, which helps you,
- 3:18Speaker 2: he says, thy expectations. Shall not be cut off. So
- 3:23Speaker 2: there are instructions of righteousness. There are pathways of righteousness.
- 3:28Speaker 2: That you must endeavor to seek out. That's where you
- 3:32Speaker 2: find the wisdom. The knowledge of wisdom. Before then in
- 3:34Speaker 2: verse 12 he says. Apply thy heart unto instruction. And
- 3:38Speaker 2: thy ears to the word of knowledge. So by instruction
- 3:43Speaker 2: comes what?
- 3:44Speaker 1: The word.
- 3:44Speaker 2: That's where knowledge of wisdom comes with. Through instruction. For
- 3:49Speaker 2: all scriptures are given what? for instructions, for instructions in righteousness.
- 3:57Speaker 2: That is why everything is good for the believer. That
- 3:59Speaker 2: is why the lines will fall in places and places
- 4:01Speaker 2: for the believer. It's not that the believer has to
- 4:03Speaker 2: pray for the lines to fall. It is the knowledge
- 4:06Speaker 2: of wisdom that ensures that the believer is at the
- 4:08Speaker 2: right place at the right time in the right season,
- 4:11Speaker 2: approaching the right people. If you catch this, life becomes
- 4:15Speaker 2: easier to navigate. The Bible says, acknowledge me. Proverbs says,
- 4:19Speaker 2: acknowledge me.
- 4:20Speaker 1: And what? God will direct. He will direct.
- 4:24Speaker 2: So the place of acknowledgement is defined as the pathway
- 4:30Speaker 2: of seeking. See, once you catch the knowledge of wisdom,
- 4:34Speaker 2: you will know. The Bible says, it shall be like
- 4:37Speaker 2: honey to your... That is, it will be tangible. When
- 4:40Speaker 2: you have caught revelation, you may not be able to
- 4:44Speaker 2: explain it to people. But when you enter wealth, when
- 4:47Speaker 2: you enter security of health, when you enter covenant with God,
- 4:51Speaker 2: you will know. Your soul will be at peace. And
- 4:55Speaker 2: that is why your expectations will not be cut short.
- 4:57Speaker 2: We see in Ephesians, the Pauline prayer. He said, for
- 5:00Speaker 2: this cause, I bow my knees unto the Father of
- 5:03Speaker 2: our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in
- 5:04Speaker 2: heaven and at his name, that he would, what? Strengthen
- 5:08Speaker 2: us with mind by his spirit in our inner mind.
- 5:13Speaker 1: That what?
- 5:14Speaker 2: That Christ will dwell in our hearts, that we be
- 5:16Speaker 2: rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend
- 5:19Speaker 2: with all this, all the saints, what is the lens,
- 5:21Speaker 2: the bread, the height and depth, and to know, listen,
- 5:23Speaker 2: and to know the love of Christ, which passeth what? Knowledge.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Knowledge.
- 5:27Speaker 2: That's the knowledge of wisdom. Then he now says, after all,
- 5:30Speaker 2: that God shall do exceedingly, abundantly, above all you can
- 5:35Speaker 2: ask or think. That means God will exceed your expectation
- 5:39Speaker 2: once you are full of the knowledge of wisdom. Yes.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Going back, he says, and there shall be a reward.
- 5:46Speaker 2: After he says, so shall the knowledge of wisdom be
- 5:48Speaker 2: unto thy soul. He says, when thou hast found it,
- 5:51Speaker 2: that knowledge of wisdom, then there shall be a reward.
- 5:54Speaker 1: God is what? A rewarder of them that diligently seek what?
- 6:00Speaker 2: Him. So diligence and seeking are one parameter that you
- 6:04Speaker 2: must embrace to secure the reward. And that reward of
- 6:08Speaker 2: your expectations not being cut short. So instead of worrying
- 6:12Speaker 2: about finances, Instead of worrying about health, instead of worrying
- 6:15Speaker 2: about uncertainties, like seek the knowledge of wisdom, you cannot
- 6:18Speaker 2: seek the things that can kill a man. I mean,
- 6:20Speaker 2: Job says the thing that I greatly feared had come upon.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Job's story was to reveal the fact that a man
- 6:25Speaker 2: requires wisdom, the wisdom of God, in order to navigate
- 6:30Speaker 2: life effectively.
- 6:31Speaker 1: You cannot do life by your own wisdom. No, no, no, no, no.
- 6:35Speaker 1: That is why God gave us his word.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Because our soul needs to hunger and taste for the
- 6:42Speaker 2: word in order for us to find the knowledge of
- 6:45Speaker 2: wisdom for navigating the pathway of life. Like I said,
- 6:47Speaker 2: once you know it, once you grab it, you may
- 6:51Speaker 2: not be able to define it. You may not be
- 6:53Speaker 2: able to explain it. But you know, you know, you know,
- 6:57Speaker 2: you know fully well that the Lord that keepeth Israel
- 7:00Speaker 2: neither slumbers nor sleeps. You know fully well that your
- 7:04Speaker 2: soul will escape as a bird out of snare of
- 7:07Speaker 2: the fowl. You know fully well that the rod of
- 7:09Speaker 2: the wicked will not rest upon. You know fully well
- 7:11Speaker 2: that God will deliver you from the strife, from famine.
- 7:14Speaker 2: from pestilence from wickedness in high places you know fully
- 7:18Speaker 2: whether the wickedness of the wicked it is not by
- 7:21Speaker 2: confess it is a knowledge of wisdom that dawns upon
- 7:25Speaker 2: that's why it says we overcome by the blood jesus
- 7:27Speaker 2: by the word of our test this is where your
- 7:30Speaker 2: testing this is your testimony comes by the knowledge of
- 7:36Speaker 2: wisdom The next verse, it says, lay not, after your
- 7:39Speaker 2: expectations shall not be cautious. It says, lay not, O
- 7:41Speaker 2: wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous. Spoil not
- 7:44Speaker 2: his resting place. Now, this is why your head, it
- 7:48Speaker 2: does say in the verse, for a just man falleth.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Seven times and riseth up again. Look.
- 7:53Speaker 2: It's not just a talking. This is a knowing. This
- 7:56Speaker 2: is the knowledge of wisdom. This is what the knowledge
- 7:58Speaker 2: of wisdom does to an individual. First of all, you
- 8:01Speaker 2: will know that the wicked cannot dwell, cannot go against
- 8:04Speaker 2: the dwelling, the resting place of the rest. You will
- 8:07Speaker 2: know that when you fall, you will rise. Listen, listen,
- 8:12Speaker 2: there is no formula. It is knowledge of the principles.
- 8:15Speaker 1: That you are. It is knowledge of wisdom.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yes, yes, because there are people, there are people who
- 8:22Speaker 2: are following that principle even more than the people that
- 8:25Speaker 2: preach the principle and yet they don't get the reward.
- 8:28Speaker 2: They don't get any. See, it is knowledge of wisdom.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Principles are good. Principles are good. But it says, so
- 8:35Speaker 2: shall the knowledge of it be unto thy soul. It
- 8:37Speaker 2: has to come to the place where it becomes a
- 8:40Speaker 2: delight to your soul. You see people having resentment towards God.
- 8:43Speaker 2: After they have served God, they begin to have entitlement
- 8:46Speaker 2: mentality as to what God.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Listen, listen. You have to be.
- 8:49Speaker 2: If it's not a delight to serve God beyond just
- 8:52Speaker 2: what God can do for you, it will not work
- 8:55Speaker 2: for you. You will fall into resentment mentality. Yes, so
- 8:59Speaker 2: shall the knowledge of you. It must be a delight
- 9:02Speaker 2: to serve God, whether there is reward or there is
- 9:04Speaker 2: no reward. To seek God, whether there is a reward. Yes,
- 9:08Speaker 2: we know that there will be a reward. But it's
- 9:09Speaker 2: not you that determines the reward. God is the rewarder.
- 9:13Speaker 2: And God knows your expectations. Psalm 37, reading from verse 4.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give
- 9:26Speaker 2: thee what? The desire's That is expectation. So the problem
- 9:31Speaker 2: is setting yourself to the seeking first. But you don't
- 9:34Speaker 2: put yourself in the adventure of knowing anybody that is forced.
- 9:38Speaker 2: The person begins to have resentment if care is not.
- 9:42Speaker 2: That's why people must learn to love God for themselves.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Seek God. He says, and you shall bring the desire
- 9:48Speaker 1: of your life. He says, commit your way. You see now.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You commit your way unto the Lord, trust in Him,
- 9:53Speaker 1: and He shall bring you to peace. That's it. He
- 9:54Speaker 1: shall bring forth thy righteousness. Can you see?
- 9:57Speaker 2: This summarizes all we are talking here. He shall bring
- 9:59Speaker 2: forth thy righteousness. as the light and thy judgment as
- 10:01Speaker 2: the noonday. That's thy justice.
- 10:02Speaker 1: That's it. Listen to this instruction in righteousness. Rest in
- 10:05Speaker 1: the Lord. Rest in the Lord. Patient. Rest in the Lord.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Rest in the Lord. Divine. Rest in the Lord. Rest
- 10:13Speaker 1: in the Lord and wait patiently for him.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Fret not thyself fret not thyself because of him who
- 10:20Speaker 2: prospereth he didn't even say sinners here remember we talked
- 10:22Speaker 2: about sinners fret not thyself against those who prosper in
- 10:25Speaker 2: their ways he says because of the man who bringeth
- 10:28Speaker 2: devices wicked devices to pass he says cease from and
- 10:31Speaker 2: do not be angry over them forsake not you can
- 10:35Speaker 2: be angry but you can cease you can decide to
- 10:38Speaker 2: cease from it he says fret not thyself in any
- 10:40Speaker 2: wise to do it because you'll be tempted to do
- 10:42Speaker 2: evil he says for evil doers have got now listen
- 10:45Speaker 2: to this part but the meek But the meek, the humble,
- 10:50Speaker 2: the patient, he said, they shall not inherit the earth
- 10:53Speaker 2: and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
- 10:56Speaker 1: What? They shall have peace. Peace of mind. I remain
