- 0:00The Mets lose their star player. They lose their star closer.
- 0:04The Mets are in a bad spot right now.
- 0:11I've never seen a Ranger team quick before the Olympics.
- 0:14We're going to be looking at Aaron Judge and saying that he
- 0:17can't win the big game, Michael Jordan said.
- 0:19I played 82 games. You don't see the fun doing
- 0:22that, but Jack Hughes did after getting his team knocked out to
- 0:25play every single shift he got back in the game.

- 3:24I want to say something. I went to the movies by myself
- 3:27himself. Britney did not want to go to
- 3:28the movies yesterday. She was tired.
- 3:31I I wanted to see the movie Beast.
- 3:33So if anybody hasn't seen the movie, it's only going to be in
- 3:37the movie theaters for this week.
- 3:38It's one of those movies that they don't stay in that long
- 3:41because it's a mixed martial arts movie.
- 3:43But I absolutely loved it. The storyline was great.
- 3:47It was perfect. If if you like mixed martial
- 3:50arts, you have to see it. Russell Crowe's in it and and
- 3:53the storyline was just I'm not going to tell you everything,
- 3:56but this guy was a world. He wasn't a world champion.
- 3:58He was one of the best middle weight, middle weight fighters
- 4:01in the world. You see it in the beginning of
- 4:03the movie and it just like transitions 10 years later.
- 4:06You don't know what happens until the movie moves forward
- 4:08and such a interesting story, a back into the story and and I'm
- 4:13I'm not going to give anything away, but go and check it out.
- 4:16And when it goes to video or streaming, stream the movie.
- 4:19It's called beast. It's sensational.
- 4:22I enjoyed it, but I, I'll tell you guys a funny story.
- 4:25So I ate stuffed shells before I went to the movie theater.
- 4:28I am lactose intolerant. So I went to the bathroom before
- 4:33I went to the movie theater. But I, I got to the movie
- 4:37theater and I go right inside and I'm like, damn, I have a
- 4:42really bad stomach ache. The movie starts in about 5-6
- 4:44minutes. So I go to the bath.
- 4:46So I I get my ticket I go to the bathroom.
- 4:48The bathroom is closed. One of the main bathrooms are
- 4:52closed. So I'm running around the
- 4:55building. I'm about to crap in my pants.
- 4:57I'm serious I was about to really let go it my stomach was
- 5:01growling. I finally find a bathroom and
- 5:04there's one stall. Now I don't like public
- 5:06bathrooms. I do not like going to the
- 5:08bathroom in public bathrooms. I have this thing this skeeved
- 5:12thing. So I go to the bathroom.
- 5:15All right, I'm sitting there now there's no lock on the door.
- 5:18There's no lock. So I'm pushing it close and I'm
- 5:22praying to God. So I'm going and I'm trying to
- 5:24sit down. I'm like sweating.
- 5:25I'm like, just just let's go, let's go.
- 5:28I got to get to the movie. All of a sudden these two guys
- 5:32come in and one guy walks right in when I'm taking a dump and
- 5:36I'm sitting there on the ball. Could you imagine the
- 5:38embarrassment? I'm sitting there and the guy's
- 5:40looking at me. He's like, oh, I was like oh
- 5:43close the damn door and all of a sudden there's a load of people
- 5:47lining up and I am just trying to get up and, and trying to get
- 5:52this stomach to relax so I can get up and go to the movie
- 5:55theater and and watch my movie. I was so embarrassed.
- 5:59Dude. I, I, I was so very embarrassed.
- 6:02I get up and I see like 7 people lining up to the stall and
- 6:06they're like, you OK? You OK?
- 6:07It's like, yeah, I'll tell you this.
- 6:09I cleaned, I cleaned where I was, but you do not want to go
- 6:13in there. That's all I said to him.
- 6:15I was like one of those Ace Ventura, do not go in there.
- 6:18Woo. You know, like that.
- 6:20So I, I walked right out. I would, I go to the I go to the
- 6:24movie theater and it's, there's not a lot of people in there.
- 6:26So the guy that walked in to my stall was sitting right in front
- 6:32of me with his girlfriend. He was so embarrassed,
- 6:35embarrassing because as soon as he sat down, his girlfriend was
- 6:37sitting right there. She looked back and smiled at
- 6:40me. So I know he was talking about
- 6:41me taking a dump and him walking in while I was taking a dump.
- 6:44It was embarrassing. All right, so I will tell you I
- 6:47don't do this. It's never happened before when
- 6:50somebody's walked in, but it that's why I don't go to public
- 6:52bathrooms because I'm afraid that there's no lock in the door
- 6:55and I got to take a dump and somebody's going to walk in on
- 6:57me. That's why I don't do it. 2
- 7:00That's what happened to me last night.
- 7:02I was embarrassed the whole movie because this girl kept
- 7:05looking back at me and I was like, OK, this I don't, I don't
- 7:09think this is funny, but whatever.
- 7:11But true story, ladies and gentlemen, do not go to the
- 7:14bathroom when there's no luck. I had to go because there was
- 7:16nowhere unless I was dumping in the sink because I've seen that.
- 7:20Anybody seen the movie Bridesmaids?
- 7:22They're they're trying to find and what's her name again?
- 7:24Is she, she takes a dump and they, they ate something messed
- 7:29up their stomach and they go into this like dress.
- 7:32There's a bridal dress place and and then they're they have to go
- 7:35and she's throwing up. One of them is throwing up.
- 7:37The other one has to take a dump.
- 7:38So she's sitting on a sink. That's the way I felt.
- 7:40If somebody was sitting on a stall and I had, I would have
- 7:42shit in a sink, a sink. Excuse my language, but that's
- 7:45what I would have done. I would have done that.
- 7:47That's how bad it was. I was that bad, ladies and
- 7:51gentlemen. You survived and made it out.
- 7:53Yeah, I did. I survived.
- 7:54I was very. I I thought that all the
- 7:56bathrooms closed. There it is.
- 7:59There it is, ladies and gentlemen.
- 8:00I don't know if it was that bad, but it wasn't that bad.
- 8:04I'm clean. I don't crap all over the.
- 8:07Place not clean if. You I'm clean and and by the
- 8:10way, I wasn't wearing. That Duke jersey.
- 8:12I was not wearing the Duke jersey.
- 8:15For all you fans out there, I wasn't.
- 8:17I'm wearing it tonight. I wouldn't make sense.
- 8:18I mean, it would be appropriate attire for that, OK.
- 8:21What, taking a dump with a Duke jersey?
- 8:23That doesn't make any sense it. Correlate very well.
- 8:26Yeah, it correlates. You're using speedies words now,
- 8:29so you're correlating away from what the whole story is all
- 8:32about. Anyways, let's get into the New
- 8:34York Mets, ladies and gentlemen, because the Mets are the big
- 8:37story right now in. New killing it.
- 8:39Yes, they're killing it all right.
- 8:40They're smelling up everything. There's dirty rats all over City
- 8:44Field and everywhere they've gone, and it's all about to
- 8:48completely fall flat on their face.
- 8:50It's already falling flat on their face.
- 8:52After being swept by the Cubs this weekend, the Mets have now
- 8:55lost 11 games in a row, their longest losing streak since
- 8:592004. The Mets have only scored a
- 9:03combined nineteen runs in those eleven games, which is an
- 9:07average of 1.7 runs per game. The pitching wasn't much better
- 9:12as they had a team ERA of 6.25, allowing 62 total runs.
- 9:18Devin Williams suffered his first blown save as a Met in
- 9:22yesterday's game, allowing an RBI double from former Mets
- 9:26Michael Conforto. Oh, you love that Mets fans.
- 9:29Carlos Mendoza criticized the Mets effort in a A1 run game or
- 9:35in one run games and said that nobody should feel sorry for
- 9:39them the way they have lost. Both Devin Williams and
- 9:43Francisco Lindor defended Mendoza saying he is a good
- 9:47leader and not to blame for the players not performing.
- 9:52Only three teams in MLB history, yes have made it to the playoffs
- 9:57after an 11 game losing streak. The 1991 I'm sorry, the 1951
- 10:03Giants, the 199082 Braves, and the 2017 Dodgers.
- 10:09No team has ever made it with a 12 game losing streak.
- 10:15Well, well, well. How could we attack this for the
- 10:19New York Mets? Could I do it in a nice way or
- 10:22could I do it in a really, really bad way?
- 10:26Well. I'd do the nice.
- 10:27Way again. Why I I don't know if there's
- 10:29anything nice to say about this team right now, but their record
- 10:33right now, they're 7 and 15, seven and 15 right now.
- 10:39This is one of the best teams going into the season.
- 10:42Everybody thought the offense was going to be great.
- 10:44You added Beau Bichette, a guy that's won a batting title,
- 10:48moving him to third base. I told Met fans before the
- 10:51season started, Beau Boschett moving to third base.
- 10:54It's going to take him a while to figure out third base.
- 10:57It's going to throw him off and he's not going to hit as well as
- 11:00he was with the Blue Jays. Also, he's injury prone.
- 11:03And how is a guy that's injury prone the 4th or fifth highest
- 11:07paid player season by season in all of the MLB?
- 11:11It makes no sense. He's making more money a season
- 11:15than Aaron Judge. Aaron Judge, arguably the best
- 11:20player in the league. You can argue it's either him or
- 11:22Ohtani. This guy is making more than
- 11:26Aaron Judge. The run differential.
- 11:29Listen to this. They were.
- 11:30They have been outscored 62 to 1962 to 19.
- 11:36Think about that, Mets. Mets fans.
- 11:39They're averaging 1.7 runs per game.
- 11:43Their batting averages are about 200 and they've only had 17
- 11:52extra base hits. Think about that.
- 11:57It is horrible. You're played over 20 games and
- 12:01you only have 17 extra base hits.
- 12:04Polanco can't stay healthy. Bichette has been healthy.
- 12:08It's it's amazing that Bichette has been fairly healthy.
- 12:12Lindor has started off again horribly.
- 12:17They're pitching ERA right now. Their team pitching is 6.25 in
- 12:24this stretch, 6.25. That means they're averaging.
- 12:29They're giving up six runs or more a game, historically the
- 12:35longest losing streak since the 11 game skid in 2004.
- 12:40The Mets have had a lot of bad seasons.
- 12:42A lot. We could go back on the absolute
- 12:46falling apart of the New York Mets that happened last year and
- 12:51a couple of years before that. The Mets historically with the
- 12:56money their owner Uncle Stevie has spent, you would think
- 13:00you're you're talking about billions, billions of dollars
- 13:05their owner has spent in the last four to five years.
- 13:11To me, it defies nothing. And I don't care about the run
- 13:17differential, home runs, scoring.
- 13:21They got to find their way out of this and they get better,
- 13:23find their way out of this quick because it's not going to be
- 13:27what Mendoza, everybody says, well, fire Mendoza, fire
- 13:30Mendoza. It's not going to be all about
- 13:31Mendoza. It's going to be about David
- 13:33Stearns. The Mets fans that are sitting
- 13:35here today saying that David Stearns was going to change this
- 13:38team. He was going to make this team
- 13:40an elite team in the majors. What he did for Milwaukee, all
- 13:44the draft picks, he he drafted McClain, everybody.
- 13:48Oh, look at look at what Nolan Mcclain's doing.
- 13:51That's great. I can tell you a lot of GMs,
- 13:56Omar Minaya, he drafted Jacob degrom.
- 14:00Look at Jacob degrom right now. He's pitching very well with,
- 14:02with the with the Texas Rangers. It seems like every time a
- 14:08player leaves the New York Mets, they're a better team and a
- 14:11better player. They're playing for a better
- 14:13team and a better in there and they're a better player.
- 14:16Now. Pete Alonso is not hitting.
- 14:18Supposedly his bat speed has slowed down five points.
- 14:22That's great. I think Peter Alonzo will figure
- 14:24it out. But you talk about and everybody
- 14:29speaks about this team, that this team is going to make a run
- 14:32this year. Juan Soto, who, by the way, is
- 14:36not healthy. And everybody says when Juan
- 14:38Soto's come, when Soto comes back, they're going to be
- 14:40better. Oh my God, they're going to
- 14:42start hitting. Let me tell you guys something.
- 14:44He's a great hitter. One guy is not going to fix
- 14:47what's going on in this lineup. One guy cannot fix what's going
- 14:51on in this lineup. What I can tell you about Juan
- 14:55Soto is maybe he adds a little pizzazz in the dugout because
- 15:01there's none right now. Has anybody watched their games?
- 15:04Look at Lendor's face after the 5th inning.
- 15:07It looks like you don't want to be there.
- 15:09Beau Bichette doesn't even know where he is.
- 15:11He has his hat flipped around to the side.
- 15:14It looks like nobody wants to be there.
- 15:16Nobody. What are you going to blame?
- 15:18You're going to blame the manager for that?
- 15:20I don't care if Lindor is sticking up or any of these
- 15:22superstars are sticking up for Mendoza because Mendoza is going
- 15:28to be the first person at and they know who that second person
- 15:31is going to be out. It's not going to be the
- 15:32players. It's going to be David Stearns
- 15:36because he's the one who put this debacle together and it is
- 15:40a debacle. You could say whatever you want
- 15:42now. It's still early in the season.
- 15:44It is early from that fans. There's a lot of baseball left,
- 15:48a lot. But guess what?
- 15:51It could be really decent. It could be OK, it could be
- 15:56better or it could be really, really bad.
- 16:00And honestly, what I have seen with this team, it doesn't sell
- 16:04me that this team is going to be fixed after Soto comes back.
- 16:08It it isn't now. We've seen better teams figure
- 16:11it out after the All Star break. Met fans.
- 16:14If this team has to wait until the All Star break, they're
- 16:17done. The season's over.
- 16:18They might as well trade off pieces and figure out what who's
- 16:22going to be the GM and who's going to be the manager next
- 16:24year. It's rebuild after rebuild after
- 16:28rebuild. The Mets haven't won a World
- 16:29Series since 198686 guys. They've played in two World
- 16:35Series 2. Think about that 2 World Series
- 16:42since then. You know what happened?
- 16:46We can remember in 2000, who'd they lose against the New York
- 16:50Yankees. 1515 years later from that, who did they play?
- 16:57The Kansas City Royals. This is the problem, guys.
- 17:02And and I'm, I'm sitting here, I'm a Yankee fan.
- 17:04Everybody sits here and you're a Yankee fan.
- 17:06Yeah, I'm a Yankee fan. That's right.
- 17:08I'm a Yankee fan. But I'm gonna, I can tell you a
- 17:10lot of things about the Yankees, too.
- 17:11What I haven't liked with the New York Yankees, I don't care
- 17:15if they're a game out or half a game out of their division.
- 17:18It doesn't matter. The Yankees haven't looked good
- 17:20either, but they're not as bad as the Mets.
- 17:22And for all the Yankee fans out there that were slaying the the
- 17:27management, that they didn't make enough moves in the
- 17:29offseason for the Yankees, they're still finding a way to
- 17:32win. But the Mets, this team is much
- 17:36better than they're playing. They're much better.
- 17:39This line up is much better than their their numbers show.
- 17:43And I, I don't think Mendoza is as bad as everybody thinks he
- 17:47is. I don't blame management, the
- 17:49manager for that. I blame the one guy in the
- 17:53league that all the Mets fans absolutely adore.
- 17:56Uncle Stevie calls him a son, and that's David Stearns.
- 18:00This man decided to let Brandon Nimmo go.
- 18:05They traded him for Simeons. What has Simeons done this year?
- 18:10I don't care how creative a defender, multiple positions.
- 18:13Oh my God, this guy's been a Gold Glove his whole career.
- 18:16He can hit for average. The guy's 36, going to be 37.
- 18:22Your body breaks down. He's not as good as he was nine
- 18:26years ago. He's just not.
- 18:29And to trade him for Brandon, IMO.
- 18:31Who's the heart and soul of this team?
- 18:32Him and Pete Alonso with a heart and soul.
- 18:35You got rid of the two players that have pushed this team to
- 18:40that brink. When they made that run.
- 18:42Everybody keeps complimenting Lindor when they made that run
- 18:46all the way to the NLCS. Everybody remember that?
- 18:48Anybody remember that a couple of years ago?
- 18:52Oh, they're ahead of schedule. Oh my God, David Stern's first
- 18:55year, He looks wonderful. This team's great.
- 19:00The people that got in there is the personalities in that locker
- 19:04room, the Brandon Nimos, the Pete Alonzos.
- 19:13The leadership of this team is gone.
- 19:15Now you have two guys that are supposedly best friends in
- 19:21Francisco Lindor and want Soto. Now there's stories coming out
- 19:25that these guys don't like each other.
- 19:28They're not talking to each other.
- 19:30Now, what is that spell for Met fans that spells disaster?
- 19:34Absolute disaster if you're a Met fan.
- 19:38My argument here is if this team can't figure it out in the next
- 19:4415 games, it's either time to move on from Mendoza.
- 19:48But who you're going to bring in in the middle of the season,
- 19:50you're going to probably go and have to bring one of your
- 19:52managers. They're going to promote from
- 19:54within with John Gibbons, who last managed with the Blue Jays
- 19:56in like 2015. Oh, I'm sorry.
- 19:58We'll bring in John Gibbons. I, I remember him.
- 20:00He fell over there with the Blue Jays.
- 20:03There's nothing. There's nothing.
- 20:06There's nothing that spells anything that makes this team.
- 20:12Good or bad in the next 20 games that they're going to have to
- 20:15figure out where they're going to go, where they moving
- 20:18forward. And is it David Stearns?
- 20:20Do you want him? How about how about Mets fans,
- 20:23do you want David Stearns to be running this team all the way
- 20:27into the ground next year when he could strike here?
- 20:30This is the perfect time to get rid of David Stearns because
- 20:33you're probably going to miss half of the season, maybe 20
- 20:35games, 30 games. It depends on how the strike
- 20:37works out. You, you decide to move from
- 20:40David Sterns, you have a more than enough time because you
- 20:43might miss 1/4 of the season. You bring in a a better,
- 20:46younger, smarter guy from another organization.
- 20:49How about go after a guy from the Dodgers?
- 20:52How about that? Because the Dodgers are an
- 20:54organization. Yes, they're deferred.
- 20:57They're all about deferred money and they're all about bringing
- 20:59in old players in. But look at the youngsters.
- 21:02Look at the younger players that they've called up.
- 21:05And I'm going to tell you this, the older players are not
- 21:07hitting. Oh, Tony's not hitting.
- 21:09Friedman's not hitting. Bets is not hitting.
- 21:12They have guys that are coming up.
- 21:14The young guys are hitting in this line up for the Dodgers, so
- 21:18they must be doing something right in their farm system.
- 21:20The Mets call up guys and they just look like a disaster.
- 21:24I'm I'm like taking shots at Benj.
- 21:26I'm not putting my, I'm not putting all, all my money on
- 21:30these youngsters, but everybody was so giddy about Nolan McLean.
- 21:35Nolan, we might not see the best of Nolan McLean because nobody's
- 21:38hidden behind them. This is the same thing that
- 21:41happened with Jacob degrom. Jacob degrom is one of the, he
- 21:46was one of the best pitchers in the world.
- 21:49One of he wants Cy Young's and he had a losing record.
- 21:55His ERA was the best in the league.
- 21:56His WHIP was the best in the league because nobody on this
- 21:59team, nobody on this roster could hit you watch this team
- 22:04now. I, I, I don't know what to
- 22:05think. I, I don't, I, I'm bored.
- 22:08I can't even sit here and watch it.
- 22:11It makes me sick. It makes me sick.
- 22:14I'm not a Met fan, but I'm a I'm a New Yorker and with good
- 22:18sports, with these guys are playing at a high level.
- 22:22We have something good to talk about for the Met fans.
- 22:24They sit here, but nobody's going to beat around the Bush.
- 22:26No Met fan, no Mets podcast or Mets show is going to tell me.
- 22:30Well, we'll figure it out. We're gonna figure it out.
- 22:33We got. Early Francisco early in the
- 22:35season. Yes, you, but.
- 22:36Historical stats that don't help the cause Qi.
- 22:39Know but but we got some positive.
- 22:43Here's a, here's a. Here's a big.
- 22:45Here's a big negative. We just can't finish.
- 22:48We're not finishing. That's.
- 22:49Three out of three out of 26 players are playing well.
- 22:51Here's Here's great odds for you.
- 22:54Here's great odds for you right now.
- 22:56Playoff odds right now dropped from 79.5% to 41.3% as of Monday
- 23:05morning. Think about that.
- 23:07They were over 70%, almost 80% going into the season and now
- 23:13they have dropped under 50% big time.
- 23:16Think about that. You, you want to say, well, it's
- 23:19only been this amount of games? Yeah, it's only been this amount
- 23:21of games. What is it going to take?
- 23:22This is going to be a ghost town.
- 23:24Sydney Field is going to be a ghost town.
- 23:26They're going to be selling tickets for 20 bucks.
- 23:29Now they're giving away tickets, yeah.
- 23:31Yeah, they're giving away tickets and Steve Cohen.
- 23:33But they're not showing back in or the concessions.
- 23:35Everybody knows that and. Steve Cohen is already mad at
- 23:37some season ticket holders and ticket winners for not going to
- 23:40games already when they were at barely over 500.
- 23:43You think they're going to think that way when they're now 11
- 23:46losses in a row? Once they get back on this
- 23:47little run that they come out of this slump, they get on a little
- 23:50run, City Field will be filled back up again.
- 23:53Yeah, you're going to have to rely on you're going to have to
- 23:57rely on probably two of those kinds of runs to get back into
- 24:00the where you're supposed to be at the beginning of the year
- 24:02because you have a bunch of guys that are not hitting at all.
- 24:05And that's what happens when you don't have an obvious plan.
- 24:08If you knew like the previous offseason, like there wasn't out
- 24:12of the belief Pete Alonso was going to come back with the Mets
- 24:14and the Mets signed him at the very last second, they they had
- 24:18actually better plan B's with Christian Walker at the time
- 24:21that came off a Goodyear with the Diamondbacks.
- 24:22He had Josh are available Arizona traded for him instead.
- 24:25Those are the good Plan B's. Let's see what Plan B was for
- 24:27the Mets after the Los Petalonzo Jorge Polanco, a streaky utility
- 24:31guy throughout his career who, by the way, is now hurt
- 24:33wonderful. So now that's your plan to spill
- 24:36anything. Now you you get you trade Nimmo
- 24:39for Simeon when you're already targeting Boba Shet and you're
- 24:43already targeting Polanco and now you have a cluster of
- 24:46infielders and no outfielders. So you have to trade for Louise
- 24:50Robert at the last second. That moves been fine.
- 24:51All right, fine. It's still not a good process.
- 24:55That's not a good process though.
- 24:56And again, I was encouraged at the time when they brought in
- 24:58Stearns because it's like, OK, the Mets need a middle market
- 25:01guy after Billy Eppler was trying to be the the Angels of
- 25:042012 that got Albert Pools and Josh Hamilton and he was AGM for
- 25:07that. And they it looked like the Mets
- 25:08were doing the same thing when they brought in Scherzer, they
- 25:10brought in Marte, all these older guys and then obviously
- 25:13Verlander the next year. So I'm like, OK, David Stern's
- 25:16finally a middle ground for that.
- 25:17And again, it looked promising in the beginning and then trade
- 25:19all fell apart, the traded line last.
- 25:21Year. Think about this.
- 25:22Your two best players in your lineup right now, that is
- 25:25probably costing Steve Cohen, I would say about $80 million
- 25:31right now, a little bit less than that $80 million.
- 25:34Shortstop Francisco Lindor and Beau Bouchet combined have hit
- 25:38just 211 in 18 games. Think about that.
- 25:42You have two guys that are making over 80 million together,
- 25:46$80 million at your payroll this year and they're hitting 211.
- 25:51Early. Still early.
- 25:52Oh, OK. Yeah, it's still early with
- 25:54three, three, only three teams to make the playoffs.
- 25:57With that said, I don't. Read the.
- 25:58Stat. Yeah, let me give you the stat.
- 26:00I have it up here, Speedy. We talked about this earlier.
- 26:03Q You may say it's early, but in the history of the game of
- 26:07baseball, there are only four teams that have had double digit
- 26:11losing streaks in a regular season that have even made the
- 26:15playoffs. The 1951 New York Giants, they
- 26:19didn't play football. They they won the NL Pennant.
- 26:22None of them were in the World Series.
- 26:23The 82 Braves lost in the NLCS. The 2017 Dodgers lost in the
- 26:30World Series to the cheating Astros.
- 26:33And it happened last year with the Guardians with A10 game
- 26:37losing streak. So it's happened twice in the
- 26:39last 10 years. So.
- 26:40Why not admit? That is.
- 26:42So why not the Mets? I'm just saying it's only
- 26:44happened four times in over 100 years of baseball.
- 26:47And history is made to be broken.
- 26:48That's what I'm saying. I'm not saying that they're
- 26:50going. To go with the.
- 26:52I'm just saying that they have a strong chance of still making
- 26:55the playoffs. 40. I know, I know, it sounds bad
- 26:59with 11 game loser streak. I understand that part.
- 27:03I think they come out of this slump and figure it out and
- 27:05manage the way to just either get very, very close or make the
- 27:09playoffs. You, you, you do realize, you do
- 27:11realize you're wearing a Yankees hat, right?
- 27:13You do realize that. So no Mets fan in their right
- 27:16mind is going to sit here and listen to you and say, oh, Q is
- 27:20telling us that, oh, it's still early in the season and the Mets
- 27:23are going to find their way out of this.
- 27:25As a Mets fan and I again, I do root for the Yankees.
- 27:28But as a broadcaster, when you do this long enough, as much as
- 27:32you root for your teams, you have to be honest about those
- 27:36teams. And honestly, right now, I don't
- 27:39like what the Yankees are doing. I don't like what the Mets are
- 27:42doing. But I can tell you this, the
- 27:43Yankees look like they'll find their way out of this because
- 27:46they've slowly but surely have found their way out of it after
- 27:50playing Kansas City. As bad as they are.
- 27:52And the Mets, no matter who they're playing, no matter how
- 27:54good or bad they are, the Mets have played up a lousy goose egg
- 27:580. 0. Oh really?
- 28:03Did I just give you the numbers? Yeah, give me.
- 28:05Yeah, that's the total runs. I'm just.
- 28:07Saying they're losing by a lot of numbers. 2/1 was 21
- 28:10yesterday, right? 62 to 17 In this losing streak
- 28:15they scored seventeen runs. 17 runs in 11 games.
- 28:20Seventeen runs. Hey, Harold, before we finish
- 28:24talking about this team that's almost finished, can we talk
- 28:27about they should have won that game yesterday and Devin
- 28:30Williams blew it. And then in the extras, the
- 28:34manager decided not to put Nico Herner on first base to get the
- 28:39force and he gets the SAC fly to win the game.
- 28:42And a lot of people were like, why aren't you doing that?
- 28:45And he didn't have a great answer.
- 28:47What is Mendoza doing? I think he's completely lost.
- 28:51He doesn't know what to do. This team is falling right apart
- 28:55right in front of his face early in the season and he has no
- 28:58answers for any of the questions that the media is going to ask
- 29:00him. We've seen this before.
- 29:02Managers are completely lopsided with the questions because they
- 29:07have no answers for it. You look at Bob Bouchette.
- 29:10Is Bobouchette supposed to be hitting 23220 at this part of
- 29:14the season? This guy was a batting champion.
- 29:17This guy was one of the best hitters in the league.
- 29:19Think about that. And then Lindor, I mean, this
- 29:22guy, oh, this guy's our best player.
- 29:24Oh, we we're going to get rid of Pete Alonzo.
- 29:25We'll make this guy the captain. Oh, we're not making any
- 29:28captain. We don't need a captain here.
- 29:29Oh, yeah, it makes a lot of sense now.
- 29:31I mean, you're just showing where this team is going rudely
- 29:35when you sit back and you wonder why teams make captains.
- 29:39Look at Kansas City. Who's the captain of that team?
- 29:42Perez. Perez is their captain.
- 29:45Perez is their best player. He's their catcher.
- 29:48This guy now won WBC championship.
- 29:51This guy knows how to win every. He's won a World Series
- 29:54championship. Winners, Winners, ladies and
- 29:57gentlemen. Now everybody's going to say,
- 29:58well, Aaron Judge is not a winner.
- 30:00You're absolutely right. But here's what Aaron Judge is.
- 30:03Aaron Judge has won multiple MVPS.
- 30:05Aaron Judge is considered the best player or the second best
- 30:09player in all of the league. And when you look at that, when
- 30:12you're looking at a team and you're trying to build around
- 30:15something, you got something. Juan Soda, what has he won?
- 30:19He won a championship with as a youngster.
- 30:22As a youngster, he was the best player making that run.
- 30:24There's no question really. Well, yeah, but but here's the
- 30:27thing. Here's the thing.
- 30:28Ever since he's left that team, ever since that run, what has he
- 30:32done? He went to the Padres.
- 30:34He took a Padre team. They failed.
- 30:37Then he went to the Yankees. He helped the Yankees go to a
- 30:39World Series. They failed.
- 30:41Now he's with the Mets. The World Series is billion.
- 30:45Dude, it it doesn't matter because if you count, that's
- 30:49what. I'm saying if the goal is to
- 30:51get. You're making $68 million.
- 30:54You're the highest, you're the highest paid player right now
- 30:58without deferred money in all of the league and you have not done
- 31:04enough. Again, Most Valuable Player now
- 31:08Juan Soto came out and said, I want to come off this because we
- 31:10got a lot to get into. Juan Soto after the WBC said
- 31:16that he believes that Dominican Republic was the best team.
- 31:20They got eliminated by a team that was not better than they
- 31:23were. He went out there and he threw
- 31:25himself under the bus. And then after that, he said I'm
- 31:28I'm going out there this year and I'm going to win the MVP.
- 31:30I'm going to beat Otani out for that MVP award.
- 31:34That's what he said. I'm the best player in the
- 31:36National League and I'm going to prove it this.
- 31:37Year and then he gets hurt. And then he gets hurt.
- 31:40So as a Met fan, how are you going to ride or die with a guy
- 31:44that opens his mouth, throws himself onto the bus, and now
- 31:48his team's on 11 game losing streak and oh, but he's saying,
- 31:52and I'm sure this is what he's. When I get back into this line
- 31:54up, this line up is going to be much better.
- 31:56One player doesn't clean up this mess.
- 32:00It's a mess. And that's what I'm selling
- 32:02here. It is a mess.
- 32:04They can figure it out. There's no question but it two
- 32:08no matter how. Much some of those games, some
- 32:11of those 10 games, 2 four games could be a difference maker.
- 32:16They have to hit though, and it's harder.
- 32:19It's it's harder for A1 hitter to have a direct impact on an
- 32:22entire lineup when it's hard to control.
- 32:25Like where a three hitters are going to have an impact on A6
- 32:27hitter and A7 hitter because they don't have a direct
- 32:30compensation to that the same way they would in hockey or
- 32:32football. Let me ask you a question.
- 32:34You have kids, right? You have kids, right?
- 32:37So you know, Christmas comes around once a year and your kids
- 32:42are like, Santa's going to bring me this and Santa, oh, you
- 32:44better be good. You got to be good.
- 32:46If you're not good, ladies and gentlemen or kids, you're going
- 32:50to get call or whatever. Santa's not going to give you
- 32:52what you want, right? That's what you tell your kids
- 32:54right now. Whatever.
- 32:56I, I, I, I'm just, I'm just throwing, I'm, I'm spit balls at
- 33:00the wall and hopefully they stick.
- 33:01OK, Hopefully. All right, so let me ask you
- 33:04this question. When they become 13 and 14 years
- 33:09old, your sons, your daughter, they get older and then you want
- 33:15them to grow up and you have to go there and tell your kids
- 33:19Santa isn't real, OK? Santa's not real.
- 33:22I, I, me and Mommy. Me and mommy have been giving
- 33:25you gifts every single year since you were a kid.
- 33:28But I want, I want you to understand that we wanted you to
- 33:32believe. Believe.
- 33:33It's all about believing in something.
- 33:36Well, guess what? Santa's not coming here for the
- 33:39New York Mets. Because by the time Santa Claus
- 33:43in December's around the corner this season is over, Santa's
- 33:46going to be throwing them a nice lump of coal.
- 33:48Because right now, believing in this team is like believing or
- 33:52telling a kid that Santa is real.
- 33:55And if kids are watching this right now, Santa is real.
- 33:57Santa Joe, stop. Why would you lie to this?
- 34:00Kid, I mean. Just expose that they're going
- 34:02to go back and say no. Santa is real, I'm just trying
- 34:04to help out here. If it's worse than a lot of
- 34:06kids. So over under 78 wins this week
- 34:08this year. I still think they, I still
- 34:11think they're going to have about between 78 and 85 wins.
- 34:15I still think they're, they're, they're, they're there, they'll
- 34:18go on a streak, they'll, they'll find a way out of this.
- 34:21But I I don't think it's going to be with Mendoza and I still
- 34:24think David Stearns, if this team don't make the playoffs
- 34:26with the money that they have spent, he needs to go.
- 34:29He needs to go. And that that's the other
- 34:30problem you lie in because remember, they spent years in in
- 34:33Cohen's tenure as owner before that of like getting the last
- 34:37resort GMs for a while. They had the two that got into
- 34:39legal issues and they had to settle on Billy Eppler, but
- 34:41nobody wanted because of what he did with the Angels.
- 34:43And he had one. They had one playoff year with
- 34:45him. They lost in the first round of
- 34:47the playoffs, collapse of the division.
- 34:48And they had took a while to get Stearns and then they can't even
- 34:51get one. And the job is not even like as
- 34:53much as it should. Be all right.
- 34:54So we, we just went to the bad. Now we're going to go to
- 34:57something that maybe will make Giant fans happy.
- 35:00I I don't know. As Dexter Lawrence was traded
- 35:03over the weekend. Adam Schefter reports that the
- 35:06Giants yes, ladies and gentlemen, the New York Giants
- 35:10have traded all pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to the
- 35:14Bengals for a #10 overall pick in this year's NFL draft.
- 35:20Schefner added that the Bengals have given Lawrence and an
- 35:25extension on his contract for one year and 28 million with a
- 35:30$10 million signing bonus that will be paid in the 2028 NFL
- 35:36season. Multiple NFL general managers
- 35:40believe that the Bengals were screwed if they kept the number
- 35:4410 overall pick, being there probably wouldn't be a lot of
- 35:49impactful defensive players available in that spot.
- 35:54ESP NS Jordan Ronan reports that the number 10 overall pick was
- 36:01the best offer the Giants were going to get for Lawrence before
- 36:06the draft. Reports say that Lawrence was
- 36:08frustrated in the previous years with Joe Shane, especially when
- 36:13they parted ways with both Leonard Williams in 2023 and
- 36:17Saquon Barkley in 2024, both of which were close friends of his.
- 36:23The Giants were reportedly willing to give him a raise from
- 36:28the 18,000,000 he was due this season, but Lawrence still felt
- 36:32that the Giants were being disrespectful in contract
- 36:36negotiations. Lawrence had 34341 tackles, 108
- 36:43pressures, 103 quarterback hits and 30.5 sacks in seven seasons
- 36:49with the Giants, mostly playing nose tackle.
- 36:55Well, all right, so Fish was jumping for joy because I came
- 37:00out and said that this team was not getting a first round draft
- 37:04pick. So if, if if no, I'm not, I'm
- 37:07not retracting. I'm going to give you I'm going
- 37:09to give you my take on this. Dexter Lawrence was not 100%
- 37:13healthy last year. He was not.
- 37:16Everybody knows he forced his way in that lineup because he
- 37:20wanted an extension. He wanted more money in the
- 37:22offseason because that signing bonus pretty really just paid
- 37:26off that big contract that the Giants signed a couple of years
- 37:29ago with him. So he wanted more money.
- 37:31He believed he is the best nose tackle in all of football, which
- 37:35he is. The numbers would tell you he
- 37:38is. Him and Jones are the two best
- 37:40and you have Quinton Williams, you have other guys that are
- 37:42right behind it, but this guy is the best at his position.
- 37:46No argument, said I I've said that this guy was their best
- 37:49player. So think about this.
- 37:52Joe Shane, since he's been here, has dropped Leonard Williams,
- 37:58who became an All Pro player with Seattle.
- 38:01This guy won a Super Bowl with Seattle and he was a big part of
- 38:04that. He dropped Saquon Barkley, who
- 38:08then almost broke Eric Dickerson's record and won a
- 38:11Super Bowl with the Eagles, and now he sends Lawrence to the
- 38:17Bengals, who their worst situation going into the
- 38:22offseason after losing Trey Hendrickson is.
- 38:24They need a leader on this defense and they bring the best
- 38:28nose tackle and all the football for the number 10 pick.
- 38:31That doesn't guarantee them anything.
- 38:34Nothing. It does.
- 38:37No, it doesn't, because I could go through.
- 38:39I could go through. Think about this.
- 38:41If you look at in the last 10 years, the 5th pick in the 10th
- 38:45pick, tell me how many one of those players became superstars.
- 38:50Tell me that if you look at. Because I say, yeah, you go,
- 38:54this is what you do. I'm you go all the way to the
- 38:56top. Let hold on.
- 38:57Let me finish. Let me finish, I'll let you
- 38:59take, I'll let you give your take and you can wipe your ass
- 39:02with it. I get care less.
- 39:05Stay off the toilet. Listen, I've I've been on a
- 39:07toilet all day, so that those, those that, that cheese last
- 39:12night really made me raunchy, but that's a whole another
- 39:15thing. But.
- 39:15Don't squeeze the cheese like. I did.
- 39:17I did. I squeezed the cheese last night
- 39:19and I almost got embarrassed doing it.
- 39:21Anyways, my thought here is you have a new coach here, John
- 39:27Harbaugh. They have this kid who everybody
- 39:31keeps talking about, Sonny Styles.
- 39:33I love this kid. He could be Ray Lewis.
- 39:36Everybody could be Ray Lewis. But there has been no Ray Lewis
- 39:40ever in this league since he's left.
- 39:42Just just throwing that out there for you guys.
- 39:45But John Horrible wasn't the guy.
- 39:46He wasn't the coach when Ray Lewis was drafted.
- 39:50He wasn't the coach when Ed Reed was drafted.
- 39:53So now we're hearing, wow, the New York Giants can get Sonny
- 39:57Styles and this kid Downs and they can get their safety in the
- 40:00future and they can get their linebacker, their leader of
- 40:03their defense. And this team could be explosive
- 40:06defensively. They were explosive defensively
- 40:09last year. Dexter Lawrence wasn't 100%
- 40:11healthy and he was still getting triple team.
- 40:14If you look at the pressures, if you look at what Dexter Lawrence
- 40:16was taking, not healthy last year.
- 40:19He was defending off offensive lineman.
- 40:21There are 2 * 3 players at sometimes.
- 40:24Watch the games, watch the games, watch the clips.
- 40:27I did and he wasn't healthy. He had one arm.
- 40:30He was using one arm last year. Think about that.
- 40:34And now he's going into a season where he's 100% healthy.
- 40:38He's 27 years old, he's in the prime of his career, and you're
- 40:41going to tell me that Dexter Lawrence isn't going to figure
- 40:44things out? You guys are out of your friggin
- 40:48minds, Giant fans. If you're going to sit here
- 40:50today and tell me right now that you are happy Dexter Lawrence is
- 40:56not here this year for your team, they should have fired Joe
- 40:59Shane. They should have fired that Pee
- 41:02Wee. That man has ruined this
- 41:04organization. He hasn't made this organization
- 41:07better. He's traded away or he's let go
- 41:10of pieces that have helped other teams win championships, big
- 41:15parts of those championships. And but Joe Shea knows better.
- 41:20Joe Shea knows how to dance around.
- 41:22He's got John Mayer and Steve Tish who hangs out at Epstein
- 41:25Island. You know, he's got two people
- 41:28that don't know what they're doing anymore.
- 41:30They really don't. They should have never fired Tom
- 41:34Coughlin. I'll go back at it again.
- 41:36And now, ladies and gentlemen, which is going to be, I'm not
- 41:39going to mention what I really want to say, but I'm going to
- 41:41throw it at you for my my other segment, which is coming up in
- 41:47just a few moments. And I, I, I'll, I'll tell you
- 41:50this. You're going to like what my
- 41:52golf club's going to be because it's definitely funny for all
- 41:55you Giant fans. I'm not going to mention it
- 41:57because Fish is like you're going to ruin the Golf Club.
- 42:02I'm sorry guys. And you can you can ask any
- 42:06analysts and analysts are coming out and saying, well, the Giants
- 42:09won this. You don't know who they're
- 42:11drafting. You don't know what these guys
- 42:14are going to be. And I'm sorry.
- 42:16I don't care what he's done. I don't care what his draft
- 42:18picks are done. In the last two years, I have
- 42:20seen two players that he has let go, Williams and Barkley, that
- 42:26have left this organization and we're all pro players.
- 42:30They were the best players at their positions and won Super
- 42:33Bowls ever since they left the New York Giants.
- 42:38That ladies and gentlemen, will tell me one thing.
- 42:41This Dexter Lawrence trade is going to be an absolute debacle,
- 42:46debacle for you Giant fans. And you want to sit here and
- 42:49say, well, this guy, we give him five years, he'll figure things
- 42:51out. Then we got to pay him.
- 42:52I, I let's ask Joe Shane what he did at the cornerback position.
- 42:57What's he done at the quarterback position?
- 43:00I would love to hear it. Let's hear it.
- 43:03Bringing in free agents. Oh, adding other bad players to
- 43:06my roster? Please.
- 43:09There is nothing that he has done for this organization.
- 43:12Oh, he added Jackson Dart. We don't even know what Jackson
- 43:15Dart is. We don't even know what he is.
- 43:20You know you got a glimpse. You can't say you don't know
- 43:22what he. Is we don't the guy you got a
- 43:24glimpse the guy wait a second, a glimpse.
- 43:26He is a running quarterback that is not sliding right And he
- 43:30could be on the he could be on the IL before you know it.
- 43:33This guy's going to get killed. He's he's Mark Sanchez ask.
- 43:36Maybe they should bring in Aaron Boone to teach him how to slide.
- 43:40Where you go to AFC Championship?
- 43:42Oh stop stop this. And every Giant fan said this
- 43:45guy was going to rin rookie of the year, which he wasn't.
- 43:48He wasn't. He wasn't the best rookie.
- 43:51Guys stop. He's better than Ward.
- 43:54Ward had nothing on Tennessee, no offensive line, no running
- 43:58game, no nothing. And now Robert Saul is not
- 44:02anything good. I'll tell you that Bambi is is
- 44:05definitely going to choke over there with Dabel.
- 44:06But I think Dabel will help Ward develop as a quarterback because
- 44:09he is one of those guys that I would say is somewhat of a
- 44:12quarterback whisperer. Don't worry, they also got $22
- 44:15million a year. Wandale Robinson.
- 44:17Oh, that's even better. Thank you for The Jets not
- 44:19making that move. I was very happy about that
- 44:21because I was listening and I was hearing some of the all
- 44:25these Grapevine things from these analysts in these
- 44:27podcasts. Oh my God, they're interested in
- 44:30Robinson. What do you think?
- 44:32I'll tell you what I think the fact here is for you Giant fans,
- 44:38I really hope that your number 5 pick and your number 10 pick is
- 44:43a slam dunk. But I'm, I'm throwing and I'm
- 44:46giving you a fair warning here. If anybody believes that Joe
- 44:51Shane is going to get this right, you, my friends and all
- 44:56you Giant fans are sadly, sadly mistaken because I don't trust
- 45:01that guy at all. He should be gone.
- 45:04Dexter Lauren should be here. I would be pissed off.
- 45:07That's my best player. He is my best player.
- 45:10Saquon was my best player. Williams was my third best
- 45:13player. You traded your three best
- 45:16players for garbage. Garbage.
- 45:20And I'm going to tell you this. First round draft picks mean
- 45:23nothing because if you've watched the NFL draft, we've
- 45:26seen this many, many times. You usually look at your draft
- 45:30and you look at what you do in the 3rd and 4th and 5th rounds.
- 45:34That's when you really consider that draft to be great.
- 45:38And if you think 2 first round draft picks mean that this is a
- 45:43slam dunk for the New York Giants and John Harbaugh, I'm
- 45:48going to have some breakfasts on Sunday laughing all the way to
- 45:53the game. And, and, and really, yeah, I
- 45:56like my breakfast. I like my waffles, my French
- 45:58toast. I mean, I'm a breakfast guy.
- 46:00I like, I like my breakfast because I'm not going to be if
- 46:03I'm a Giant fan, I'm not going to eat dinner after the games
- 46:05because watching Dexter Lawrence become an All Pro player again
- 46:09this year with the Bengals and helping the Bengals go all the
- 46:11way to a Super Bowl, because I'm going to tell you this right
- 46:13now. This.
- 46:14Would be this would be this would be an absolute drive.
- 46:18Could you imagine this that Dexter Lawrence in the next two
- 46:21years wins a Super Bowl with the Bengals?
- 46:23Then you have three guys, three guys that Joe friggin Shane has
- 46:28let go and go to other teams, become All Pro Players and
- 46:33become elite by winning a World World Series, winning a Super
- 46:38Bowl championship. But again, this is a microcosm
- 46:42of player relationship issues that we've seen with other GMs
- 46:45too, that Joe Shane tries to operate.
- 46:48He came from the Bills. They were successful over there
- 46:50when he was the assistant GM, not the main GM of Brandon Bean.
- 46:53So they try to operate the same way, which you can get away with
- 46:56if you're the Bills, which you can get away with if you're the
- 46:58Chiefs. Getting rid of Tyree Kill after
- 47:00they lose in the AFC championship game, getting rid
- 47:02of Trent Mcduffey this year after they miss the playoffs.
- 47:04You can get away with that, but if you're a stable organization
- 47:06like that, the Giants can't afford to get so cute like that
- 47:09the way they did. I didn't realize even send back
- 47:11to 2024 like that. In 2023 was when they made
- 47:14Leonard Williams straight at the time, which obviously had a bad
- 47:16year after he signed the contract, but he had a good year
- 47:18the year before. Like you said, since you've gone
- 47:20to Seattle, good Brenda, they've had other good defensive
- 47:23players, but he played very well over there.
- 47:25And then Saquon Barkley, that was rock bottom if you were, if
- 47:27you're a Giants fan in 2024 with them winning a Super Bowl and
- 47:31the Giants going 3 and 14. So Joe Shane is not the guy for
- 47:34player relationship issues whatsoever.
- 47:36You're right. He.
- 47:36Should have fired. After the Saquon year.
- 47:39On the tree, that's what I would be singing.
- 47:42To all the Giant fans after this draft, you are you.
- 47:47Are finding a way to turn an obvious win win into something.
- 47:51Oh, an obvious win. Harold, of course, the draft is
- 47:55a crapshoot, but if you draft in the top ten, you got a 70%
- 47:59historical chance of hitting on that pick, really with a good
- 48:0235% chance of becoming an all pro at some point in his career.
- 48:06If you get later picks or you have second round, you have a
- 48:08lower percent chance. So when you're playing cards,
- 48:11you want to have better cards in your hand, just like you want to
- 48:14have better draft. Picks.
- 48:15Yeah. What's the Joe Shane percentage?
- 48:16Evan Neil. Joe, Shane.
- 48:18Look, Chris Moneymaker won the World Series of Poker.
- 48:21He was a terrible poker player. A blind squirrel finds a nut
- 48:24twice. You know the clock is wrong.
- 48:26You know you can find the right time twice a day.
- 48:30You know what? Maybe Joe Shane probably, and I
- 48:32would have bet his last draft because I don't know if he stays
- 48:35with the team after the draft, but he gets to stay for this 15
- 48:39and 10, Woolworth 5 and dime. Look at Joey, Joey Woolworth
- 48:43here getting picks five and five and dime for the draft.
- 48:47But doesn't it make a lot of sense that the Bengals are the
- 48:50stupid organization that trades this?
- 48:52We they wouldn't pay Trey Hendrickson, right?
- 48:57And now they are extending Dexter Lawrence, giving him
- 49:00guaranteed money when they did not have to do that and gave up
- 49:04draft capital that no other team in the league was willing to go
- 49:07near. So if no one else was willing to
- 49:10give a first round pick, how do you get the 10th pick overall?
- 49:13But again, the the Bengals were kind of stuck in a weird dilemma
- 49:16because they they're they need to edge rushing held badly.
- 49:18You're going to chance Ruben Bay in A10 with the the off field
- 49:21issues with the short arms, because Bailey's probably not
- 49:23going to be there. Caleb Downs probably wouldn't
- 49:25have been been there for them. Like that's the other option
- 49:27you're looking at. Then you are you could you could
- 49:29trade back I guess, But still like you're the impact player is
- 49:32Dexter Lawrence for that team to make a spark to the rest of that
- 49:36offensive line, that defensive line they signed Boy Mafia from
- 49:39the Seahawks in. The offseason, right?
- 49:40Yeah, he's a bit. He's a he's a good edge.
- 49:43He's good. Yeah, my face good Jonathan
- 49:45Allen was is another detector that they they gave him two year
- 49:48deal as well. So they had defensive issues
- 49:50their whole. Not anymore.
- 49:53It's all about defense. That's all they had.
- 49:55Not anymore. All the offense in the world
- 49:56with no defensive pressure. Not so cute anymore.
- 49:59I got, I got something I think breaks Errol's thing here.
- 50:03Oh, what's it saying that the Bengals are gonna be?
- 50:05Here comes, here comes the giant fan.
- 50:06Here we go. Let's hear it.
- 50:08Dexter Lawrence gets double team 71% of the time.
- 50:11That's absurd. It's it's the most I think
- 50:15anywhere. It might him or the guy on
- 50:17Tennessee, I forget his name right now.
- 50:18Who's the great deep? Deep.
- 50:19Yeah, Simmons is great too, right?
- 50:21Those are the two guys. But Lawrence's numbers dropped
- 50:24off huge last year. He only had a half a sack.
- 50:27I know you can say he was. He was hurt.
- 50:29He was playing with. One arm, not the whole season.
- 50:31He was not the whole season. Yes, he was.
- 50:33He got hurt in the second game of the season.
- 50:36He. Was hurt Thibodeau's career?
- 50:38He was hurt in the second game of the season.
- 50:41That's, well, that's my point, right?
- 50:43You free up guys like Abdul Carter when you have him on the
- 50:46field. You free up Thibodeau to do his,
- 50:50you know. Yeah, that's that's.
- 50:51Our great G, our great DC last year, Shane Bowen, he, he wasn't
- 50:54much better. Right.
- 50:56But here's the thing. You need other guys, right?
- 50:59The Bengals need other guys to take advantage of Dexter.
- 51:02And if Dexter's pass rush win rate dropped by 5 like from like
- 51:08it fell to 7.85% from 13.25% the year before, that means you are
- 51:15no longer that good compared to how you were.
- 51:17Something happened to you that. Well look, it could have been
- 51:20his attitude because if they didn't pay him because of Joe
- 51:22Shane, I agree with you. It could have been the fact he
- 51:25had no guaranteed money. It could have been the fact he
- 51:26was playing hurt and he's been mad all these years and maybe
- 51:29he'll have a chip on his shoulder.
- 51:30You bet he probably will this year, but he's getting older.
- 51:35Yeah, but he but he. Still you want.
- 51:37To pay that guy you want. 27 speed position, you were worried
- 51:42about that? Stop, stop, stop, stop it.
- 51:45Or get a guy on a rookie contract at #10 and get him for
- 51:50five years who might be an All Star now.
- 51:52Oh my. And for the next 6 years instead
- 51:54of maybe get one or two more good years out of Dexter.
- 51:57It was maybe what 1D tackle death project in the first
- 52:00round. Well, I don't think it's D
- 52:01tackle, I'm just saying. Right.
- 52:03But then. You're not to get D tackle at 10
- 52:05now. The team tackle's going to go in
- 52:06the second round. We'll talk about that when we
- 52:08get to the draft late after the cast.
- 52:10Yeah. For sure, and the Giants have
- 52:13things they can do, but it this is a win for Joe Shane.
- 52:17Well, it's a win for Cincinnati until the draft, then we'll be
- 52:21able to dictate whether or not this was a win or not, right?
- 52:24So Congrats to Lawrence for getting his money.
- 52:26The reason why he left the Giants was because they didn't
- 52:28give him no guaranteed money. And you don't want to go out
- 52:31there and play with no guaranteed money where you don't
- 52:33have that extra cushion in regards to an event that
- 52:36something you hurt. So you play hurt last year, no
- 52:39guaranteed money. They can cut you or release you
- 52:41at any point. So that's one reason why I would
- 52:43say that he made a decision that, listen, if you guys ain't
- 52:46gonna give me an increase in my guaranteed money that I'm going
- 52:49to just go elsewhere, which he actually went to a good
- 52:52promising location in Cincinnati because they had all the offense
- 52:55in the world. They got a defensive line with
- 52:57Jonathan and and mafia over there.
- 52:59So they they pretty much set now it's up to the Giants in this
- 53:03draft to decide whether or not they're going to make the right
- 53:06decision and picking the right player.
- 53:08So I think they take love and then I think if they can get
- 53:11Sonny, I don't know if he'll be there, but they're going to have
- 53:13to fulfill that D type of spot immediately in the second round.
- 53:16And I think you one second round pick, so you might have to
- 53:19figure out how to trade up and kind of get some guys in there.
- 53:22Look at Miami, look at a Philly, you know, somebody who got
- 53:26already pretty much established in that position and then move
- 53:29forward. The Giants and Eagles would
- 53:34never trade it with each. Other I know they would never
- 53:35trade, but I'm just saying like those guys that's already pretty
- 53:38much Seattle, you know, somebody that I can't think of all the
- 53:41teams that's ahead of them in the second round, but somebody
- 53:44who. Maybe they'll trade with the
- 53:45Bills. It looks shade they'll trade
- 53:46with us. For it looks like the Patriots
- 53:48are getting a wide receiver. A.J.
- 53:49Brown looks like he's going to be trading.
- 53:51Says that's going to be a post June one thing because of the
- 53:54contract. But for them, they need a wide
- 53:55receiver. That makes sense.
- 53:57That certainly makes sense. Everybody pulls Stefan.
- 54:02I don't know if Stefan Diggs wants to be back.
- 54:04I think after all that, I don't think they want.
- 54:06Routed Stefan Diggs together what could possibly.
- 54:09Be be on fire. I'm sorry, they're not doing it
- 54:12in Vegas. I'm sorry if you're a giant fan
- 54:15today, you cannot be happy that your best play.
- 54:17No, no, no, no. Optimistic.
- 54:19You can't say it can't be. Not happy.
- 54:22I haven't been happy as a Giants fan in 15 years.
- 54:25Stop. Stop complaining.
- 54:26I haven't been happy as a fan 15 years ago.
- 54:29I haven't been a happy Jet fan. I wasn't even alive when I
- 54:31should be a happy Jet fan because it was in 19. 60 you
- 54:34happy this year? I told you we go.
- 54:35Stop with this. Stop with this.
- 54:37They're not just playing the playoff party.
- 54:40Stop, stop, stop. I'll tell you what it does for
- 54:42the Giants though. Oh, God, It opens up cap room,
- 54:46Let's face it, $13 million of cap room because they trade
- 54:49Dexter Lawrence. Now they have that if they move
- 54:51Thibodeau, which they're talking about a third.
- 54:54If they don't get a third, it'll.
- 54:55Probably not getting a third for Devon Thibodeau.
- 54:57Well, you said they weren't getting a first.
- 55:00For they're not, well, Dexter. Dexter Lawrence.
- 55:03That's the rumor. Here's a couple of giants.
- 55:05Here's the problem. Here's the problems.
- 55:07Here's the problems with Fish. And everybody knows that Fish is
- 55:10a Giant fan. That's all he is.
- 55:12And he loves to sit there and talk all these great things.
- 55:14He thought they were getting this guy and that guy in free
- 55:17agency and they weren't getting any of those guys.
- 55:19And now he says, well, they're going to have money so they can
- 55:22get this guy and that guy and they're not going to get any of
- 55:24those guys. The problem with, and I'll say
- 55:26this, and I'm not being hard on the Giants, just like I'm I'm
- 55:29very hard with The Jets. Giant fans are lost, just like
- 55:34Yankee fans are lost and Met fans are lost.
- 55:37They like to believe that this is going to make a difference
- 55:40and this is going to help them and this is going to set them up
- 55:44in a really good position. You had the best, arguably nose
- 55:50tackle in all of football. And I don't care what he did
- 55:54last year because he wasn't healthy.
- 55:56That's a fact. Everybody knows he was not 100%
- 55:59healthy. And all you had to do was get
- 56:01rid of Joe Shane, who, by the way, you're probably getting rid
- 56:04of after this year because this is Don Harbaugh's team and he's
- 56:07going to bring in his own GM. So all you had to do was get rid
- 56:11of this man and you would still have Dexter Lawrence.
- 56:14He would have taken that one year extension.
- 56:16You would have negotiated another deal with a new GM name
- 56:19there and you would have been happy because you would have had
- 56:21the best nose tackle in the league.
- 56:22Now you're hoping that. And by the way, I don't I don't
- 56:27believe what everybody says. Oh, this is a weak draft.
- 56:30That's a weak draft and that's a weak draft.
- 56:32You know, experts are saying this is a very weak draft as far
- 56:35as certain positions. And I'm that's fine.
- 56:38I don't believe that. I have to see what these guys
- 56:40transition is transition into as an NFL player.
- 56:44But I'm going to tell you this, if you're a Giant fan right now
- 56:48and you're going to sit here and you're going to tell me, well,
- 56:51we're going to have $13 million on the cap and oh, we're going
- 56:56to have the 5th and 10th pick. And these guys almost guarantee
- 56:59you that in the future they'll be all pro players.
- 57:02How about this? I can point out many guys that
- 57:06The Jets have drafted in the top ten and have failed with those
- 57:10guys. And one guy that I can remember
- 57:13very, very closely is an Ohio State Buckeye in Vernon Galston.
- 57:18I remember him very well. What he did at the combine.
- 57:21This guy's going to be the best linebacker in the NFL.
- 57:25The guy had one tackle in his whole career as a New York Jet.
- 57:29And by the way, you know how he had that tackle on special
- 57:32teams? Oh yeah.
- 57:32Please. How about please?
- 57:34How about a fifth round pick that played nose tackle for The
- 57:37Jets? Name Snacks Harrison that ended
- 57:40that ended up being one of the best in the league for a number
- 57:42of years in All Pro and you can find that guy.
- 57:45He doesn't have to be a three down guy.
- 57:47He could be a 2 down guy at nose tackle and then you get some
- 57:50passengers use a NASCAR. Package Hey let me let me get a.
- 57:55Logical statement. You're trying to rebuild Dexter
- 57:59Lawrence, right? Yeah.
- 58:00You can't rebuild Dexter Lawrence.
- 58:02No one's getting double team 70% of the time like Dexter Lawrence
- 58:05and able to do the things he could do.
- 58:07But you can get a nose tackle that comes off the field in 3rd
- 58:09downs and have a NASCAR package with Abdul Carter and Kevon
- 58:14Thibodeau if you keep them and Brian Burns and you have three
- 58:17of those guys going crazy inside.
- 58:18Do you know? Do you know from?
- 58:20Last year, Alexander is the three tech you know you got you
- 58:22got guys. Do you know why?
- 58:24Do you? Do you know why Brian Burns had
- 58:27all those sacks last year is because Dexter Lawrence was
- 58:30getting double teams. That's why.
- 58:32I will guarantee you, Carter, I so good on the other side, all
- 58:36right? I will guarantee you.
- 58:38I will. I will guarantee you Burns will
- 58:41not have that season this year. I will guarantee you.
- 58:44I will. I will guarantee.
- 58:46Competition. I will guarantee well they're
- 58:48going to slide it to Carter though, because Carter's bet
- 58:51Carter was. Carter is better, but he hasn't.
- 58:54Proved he hasn't proved himself. I'm just saying last year
- 58:56though, you know what, what the coaches are looking.
- 58:58At Here We Go they're. Going to look at birds, no?
- 59:00Here we go, analytics, analytics.
- 59:02Getting by the guy in front of you, right?
- 59:04Are you getting by the guy in front of you?
- 59:06They use that quick pressure stat now.
- 59:08He led the league. Abdul Carter, he became a
- 59:11problem the last half of the season and I expected to
- 59:14continue. If they can figure out the the
- 59:17nose situation, they get someone who's halfway decent in there.
- 59:20It's not going to be Dexter, but you can get by with it if you
- 59:23improve the rest of the team and not have Shane Bowen be your DC.
- 59:27But Birds got it. Birds going to be the main focus
- 59:29until Abdul Carter and get some numbers to for sure playoff.
- 59:33We all know he's a free connection and we hope that, you
- 59:36know, he comes out this year and then explode and whatnot.
- 59:38But Birds got the numbers. So officers are going to focus
- 59:41and target him first. And then if if a dual Carter
- 59:44come out of it, then he'll be able to slide and double team
- 59:47him. I got one.
- 59:48That's the middle section though, for sure.
- 59:50Yeah. Yeah, we'll definitely going to
- 59:52get into that when we get to the players.
- 59:54But look, the agent for Dexter Lawrence is this guy named Joel
- 59:58Siegel. He's the CEO of WME Sports.
- 1:00:01He apparently, and this came out beat writer Chris Bisignano on
- 1:00:04his podcast Giants Insider told us that agent forbade Dexter
- 1:00:08Lawrence and John Harbaugh to ever talk.
- 1:00:11He wouldn't let Harbaugh try to convince him to stay.
- 1:00:14This was an agent power play where he was trying to get Joe
- 1:00:18Shane fired because they thought the Giants had no leverage
- 1:00:21because the only thing that teams are going to offer was a
- 1:00:24second and a fourth or something.
- 1:00:25Something like that for Dexter Lawrence.
- 1:00:28And they were completely wrong. They found that apparently they
- 1:00:32didn't have the leverage and it looks like the Giants kind of
- 1:00:35played them like fools and played their hand and look at
- 1:00:37what they get. They get way more than any team
- 1:00:40thought. All the grades online gave the
- 1:00:42Bengals like AD in this trade and the Giants and they I agree
- 1:00:45with you. Dexter Lawrence is better than
- 1:00:46he was last year. He's one of the best players the
- 1:00:48Giants have ever had. He is.
- 1:00:50He had two seasons in 2022, really three to the 2024 that
- 1:00:55were three of the best nose tackle seasons anyone's had in
- 1:00:58the league. 2025 was the major step back, you know, like if
- 1:01:02he's 85 to 90% of what he used to be, he's still one of the
- 1:01:06best players in the league. He had no knee problems.
- 1:01:08Want to pay for that? He had no knee problems, no leg
- 1:01:10problems, and that's where he comes off with his strength.
- 1:01:13I'm, I'm sure Dexter Lawrence is going to be 100% healthy when
- 1:01:16it, when it comes to his arm this year.
- 1:01:18I, I, I will tell you this right now, Dexter Lawrence is going to
- 1:01:22be beastly this year on that Bengals defense, especially with
- 1:01:25the additions they have so. You got you got Cincinnati going
- 1:01:28to the Super Bowl, too. No, I didn't say I I I think
- 1:01:30they they can. Yeah, I think they can.
- 1:01:33I don't know yet. I have to see how everything
- 1:01:35fans out for these teams. You made a prediction.
- 1:01:38I just told you two players that have won the Super Bowl in the
- 1:01:41after they get traded within two years.
- 1:01:44So yes yes, I think the Bengals could be a team, especially in
- 1:01:48the AFC up and down. You don't know what team's going
- 1:01:50to be good or bad yeah, I think they can win the Super Bowl.
- 1:01:53They've got the weapons, they have the quarterback, they have
- 1:01:56the defense now and they got a man as a a beast, a man child
- 1:02:00over there in the middle. So yes, I do believe they could
- 1:02:04win a Super Bowl in two years, but I'm, I'm not going to sit
- 1:02:06here and you can kill. You can go back and forth and
- 1:02:08argue with me till I'm blue in the face.
- 1:02:11It's not going to make a difference.
- 1:02:12Because the truth is, no matter what you see and what they're
- 1:02:16getting or what everybody is saying and the predictions and
- 1:02:19the percentages and all that other stuff, draft picks are
- 1:02:23draft picks and everybody says that.
- 1:02:26Everybody says that. I can tell you that most of
- 1:02:29these first round picks have been more bust than home runs.
- 1:02:33More bust than home runs, so. Well, that's basically based off
- 1:02:37the pics though. That's not based off the
- 1:02:38players. When I look.
- 1:02:40At the times it's bad situations and bad coaching and bad teams
- 1:02:43and bad genes. We just heard about an agent
- 1:02:46telling his player not even talk to a head coach because he wants
- 1:02:49to get him on the market. Like you don't understand the
- 1:02:52nuances behind the scenes which impacts the game.
- 1:02:54And that's what I'm saying. I don't understand it.
- 1:02:57I'm a Jet fan. I understand it very well.
- 1:03:00You're going to tell me I don't understand something I do
- 1:03:03because I've been watching it my whole life.
- 1:03:06I've been watching bad football my whole life.
- 1:03:10You don't believe in coaching? No, that's not what.
- 1:03:13I'm you don't believe in the GM's, you don't believe in none
- 1:03:15of those being the issue. You just that's not true.
- 1:03:17That's not true. You play the players.
- 1:03:19That's not true. That's not true.
- 1:03:20You obviously don't listen to me if you're telling me.
- 1:03:24Player that you like and you say, oh, that's not true.
- 1:03:27That's not. True.
- 1:03:28That's not true. You're taking words out of my
- 1:03:30mouth. I have never, I have never
- 1:03:33attacked coaching and and GM's and and thrown GM's under the
- 1:03:36bus. I don't like certain coaches.
- 1:03:38Yes, I stick up for great coaching.
- 1:03:40I stick up for Bill Belichick. I can't stand the man.
- 1:03:42I stick up for him all the time. I think he's the greatest of all
- 1:03:44time. I'm not going to sit here and
- 1:03:46beat around the Bush. He is.
- 1:03:47So I'm not going to. I'm not going to throw people.
- 1:03:49Bill Parcells was a great coach. I'm sorry, everybody looks at
- 1:03:54John Harbaugh and look at his success.
- 1:03:56Yes, he won a Super Bowl. He won a Super Bowl with not his
- 1:04:00players. Are.
- 1:04:23You good? No.
- 1:04:23Are you good? Yeah.
- 1:04:26Well, I'm going to tell you when they won that Super Bowl, they,
- 1:04:29they, their quarterback went on a run that nobody's ever seen
- 1:04:32before. When you look at runs that
- 1:04:33quarterbacks have gone on probably one of the greatest
- 1:04:36quarterback runs of all time. Did he ever do that again in the
- 1:04:39playoffs? No, he did not.
- 1:04:41So you sit here and you're going to tell me that was John
- 1:04:44Harbaugh throwing the ball, that guy stepping into the pass?
- 1:04:47No. And I'm going to tell you this
- 1:04:49right now. They weren't his players.
- 1:04:52So if you're going to sit here and tell me that Ray Lewis and
- 1:04:55Ed Reed and Sulks was his player, you're lying.
- 1:04:59You're on. The streets and Ray Lewis was
- 1:05:05just out there calling their own place.
- 1:05:07Never look to the sideline, never listen to the speaker
- 1:05:10inside a helmet. And Joe Flacco never heard, got
- 1:05:13one piece of coaching advice from anybody on the sideline and
- 1:05:17he just winged it all the way to the Super Bowl.
- 1:05:19I'm going to tell you you're lying.
- 1:05:21John Harbaugh is going to be with the Giants no more than
- 1:05:24three years, and he will be fired.
- 1:05:26That's ridiculous. He will be fired.
- 1:05:28He will be fired in about he will be fired Super Bowl, he
- 1:05:32will be fired. You remember I said this, he
- 1:05:35will not last that contract. How will they fire him with two
- 1:05:38Super Bowls under his belt after at that point?
- 1:05:41Oh, you think they're going to win 2 Super Bowls?
- 1:05:43OK, now you sound. You know he sounds now, now you
- 1:05:46know what? Sounds like you're wrong.
- 1:05:47Sounds like the beat. Won't go get a sound like the
- 1:05:48beat and he won't go get a three super.
- 1:05:50Bowls in a row and then all of. A sudden.
- 1:05:53Hey, I'll tell you right now, he's going to take a linebacker
- 1:05:55and a safety in the top of this strategy.
- 1:05:57Tell us five things good about Joe Shawn for the gym, for the
- 1:06:01for the Giants. Joe, Shane, Other.
- 1:06:03Really. Five good things say 5 things
- 1:06:05about him he's. Really, he's a team.
- 1:06:06No, not him, because he said he don't he don't take his shots at
- 1:06:11G of the coaches. You said you, Mr. Earl, that's
- 1:06:14here. You want me to say 5 things?
- 1:06:17Five things? Yeah, I'll.
- 1:06:18I'll tell you 5 good things. He came.
- 1:06:21He came from the Buffalo Bills. That's one.
- 1:06:24That's one. That's why the Giants brought
- 1:06:26him in. He thought he well, I thought
- 1:06:29Dabel was going to be a good coach.
- 1:06:31It was a good addition to the New York Giants for one year.
- 1:06:34And he fell apart because he can't handle his coaching staff.
- 1:06:37So I guess that I blame that on the coach, not not Joe Shades.
- 1:06:41So I thought he was right about Dabel at one point.
- 1:06:45Five things. I can't think of anything else.
- 1:06:49I can't. He's a nice man.
- 1:06:52I've got it, I've got it, I've got it.
- 1:06:55He was his son, was the one that told him to draft certain
- 1:06:59players and he actually agreed with him.
- 1:07:02So I guess that's a nail. Oh, by the way, he was on Hard
- 1:07:06Knocks and he threw himself under the bus when he was
- 1:07:08talking to Saquon Barkley. That was great, too.
- 1:07:10I mean, the man is an idiot. He is an idiot.
- 1:07:14And I'm assuming he's not doing most of the work now, though I I
- 1:07:17assume it's hard, right? He's the point of this woman
- 1:07:20named Donna Ponte. She's from Staten Island.
- 1:07:22It's fire. She.
- 1:07:23She she's from Staten Island. Slam dog.
- 1:07:27Wonderful. Just just saying a local.
- 1:07:30Person Oh, I'm sorry, it's local.
- 1:07:32Local. Italian.
- 1:07:33She comes from stinky Staten Island.
- 1:07:35Could be the first female GM after they let go of Shane,
- 1:07:39which is interesting as well. Look, you're right about he
- 1:07:42didn't draft Lewis, he didn't draft Ed Reed, but he did draft
- 1:07:45Kyle Hamilton. He did try to get Patrick Queen
- 1:07:48to be a good player, and then when he wasn't, they went and
- 1:07:50got Roquan Smith and paid him a lot of money.
- 1:07:52Yeah, you're right. The reason why he's doing those
- 1:07:54things is because in his defense, the green dot is super
- 1:07:58important. The guy who's calling the
- 1:08:00defense on the field, it's going to be two guys that call the
- 1:08:03defense. There's one guy calling the
- 1:08:04secondary and there's one guy. Calling.
- 1:08:06You brought in three, you brought in three guys, three
- 1:08:10offensive coordinators. It makes no sense.
- 1:08:12I'm not talking about the offense.
- 1:08:14I'm not talking about the offense.
- 1:08:15It makes no. Sense the offense is a working
- 1:08:17progress. Oh yeah, it's a work in
- 1:08:18progress. All right, you're out.
- 1:08:20It'll. Be a work in progress won't be
- 1:08:22healthy for the beginning. Oh run for all you giant fans.
- 1:08:25This isn't the year that win the Super Bowl.
- 1:08:26It's in a couple. Of years now, yeah.
- 1:08:28The couple of years, just a couple, just a couple.
- 1:08:31I was a Jet fan 10 years ago. Just a couple more years we got
- 1:08:34Sam Donald. Couple more years let's.
- 1:08:36Just put it on the 20 Rick Johnson takes.
- 1:08:38That's after the three Cowboys Super Bowls in a row.
- 1:08:41That's why I get so pissed off because I watched Sam Donald
- 1:08:43hoist that freaking trophy in the last season and it makes me
- 1:08:47sick to my stomach because The Jets had the guy and decided to
- 1:08:51part ways with him because they gave him no weapons.
- 1:08:54You you know, the two guys though, would be Sonny Styles
- 1:08:57and Caleb Downs that would do those positions on the defense.
- 1:09:00It's those two guys and they now have a chance to get both of
- 1:09:03them and that would be incredible for that defense to
- 1:09:06have two guys to I'm. Done with this conversation.
- 1:09:08I'm sick. I don't think Love will be
- 1:09:10there. If Love's there, it's a whole
- 1:09:11different story. But I think Love's going before
- 1:09:13I'm here in Arizona at 3:00 to take Love and I'm here.
- 1:09:17And if not, he goes at 4:00. So we'll get into that in a
- 1:09:20little bit. But Errol, you know, just to
- 1:09:23wrap up this whole Giants thing. You sure I'm.
- 1:09:25Very happy, but not happy because I but not I'm happy
- 1:09:28they've got as much as they did. But as a defensive line coach,
- 1:09:32an offensive line coach, what Dexter Lawrence was able to do
- 1:09:35as a Giant shouldn't be able to. I'm going to tell you this, I
- 1:09:38thought. That much pressure just.
- 1:09:40Just think about this. The Jets got for Quinton
- 1:09:42Williams a first and a second, and all they got was a first, a
- 1:09:46first for Dexter Lawrence. Makes sense.
- 1:09:48Makes sense. I'm sorry, Giant fans, it's.
- 1:09:50Great, they got, They got a better first.
- 1:09:52Oh, they got. A better first.
- 1:09:53A better first. In a worse draft.
- 1:09:55In a worse draft. Next year's draft.
- 1:09:57Doesn't matter. That means it's a lot better
- 1:09:58though, because there's only 15 good players.
- 1:10:00They got 16. Stop, stop with this.
- 1:10:02Giants have 10. Stop.
- 1:10:03With this, that's what you're saying, if that's what you're
- 1:10:06saying. I'm saying that The Jets got hey
- 1:10:07look for Quinton. Wait, guys, we got our our guest
- 1:10:10isn't all right. Let's let's go to the Golf Club,
- 1:10:11Please, let's go. This deserves a golf clap.
- 1:10:15No doubt. Golf clap.
- 1:10:17Golf clap. All right, my golf clap of the
- 1:10:21day goes to the friendly New York Giants.
- 1:10:25And why? Well, Odell Beckham is trying
- 1:10:28out. He's trying out again.
- 1:10:30Yes, he's going in and he's figuring out if he's healthy,
- 1:10:34he's running laps, and he's doing all that in front of the
- 1:10:37Giants brass. And what does that spell?
- 1:10:39Well, what does that spell? An absolute catastrophe.
- 1:10:42You're going to bring this man back to your organization after
- 1:10:46him kneeling down and praying to a kicking fence or pissing on
- 1:10:53the end zone. This is the guy you're going to
- 1:10:55bring in to help your young wide receivers.
- 1:10:57If you bring in somebody like Jordan or one of these guys, or
- 1:11:01how about your your guy neighbors who's coming back from
- 1:11:04an injury? This is what the Giants are
- 1:11:06going to do. They're going to bring this
- 1:11:08lackluster personality in your locker room.
- 1:11:12Why? Because he's healthy now and
- 1:11:14he's 33 years old. So let me tell you something for
- 1:11:17you Giant fans. Another dumb move.
- 1:11:20Really, really dumb move. Bringing a man to an
- 1:11:24organization with a new coach who, by the way, coached him in
- 1:11:28Baltimore. And what did he do in Baltimore,
- 1:11:30Speedy? What did Odell Beckham do in
- 1:11:32Baltimore? Absolutely nothing.
- 1:11:36And now you're bringing him back.
- 1:11:38Or you might bring him back to the New York Giants because he's
- 1:11:41a Giants fans favorite. That's what you're doing.
- 1:11:44You should have never let go of Saquon Barkley, and that's all
- 1:11:47I'm going to say about that. Giant fans, if Odell Beckham
- 1:11:51signs a one year contract or whatever they're going to,
- 1:11:54they're going to negotiate a contract with him.
- 1:11:56This is more of a catastrophe than anything you would want
- 1:12:01with your organization. Bringing a personality like that
- 1:12:04in a locker room, it doesn't work.
- 1:12:06Why? Because Jackson Dart and him are
- 1:12:07going to events and they're dancing around and they're
- 1:12:09looking so spiffy. It's a joke.
- 1:12:12I think it's terrible for any Giant fan to believe that this
- 1:12:15works. I understood what they were
- 1:12:17doing at the quarterback position last year and bringing
- 1:12:19in personalities like that. I do not understand this.
- 1:12:22This is a bad move for the New York Giants.
- 1:12:24So I don't know if this is a golf clap.
- 1:12:26This is a deuce, whatever it is. I had a lot of deuces yesterday.
- 1:12:29I'll just deuce it, golf it, whatever the hell.
- 1:12:31You want. Here it is, Golf clap that,
- 1:12:34golf. Clap that for your Giant fans.
- 1:12:37Welcome back Big Blue obj. Big OBJ thank you to all the
- 1:12:43Apple and Spotify when it comes to video and audio people

- 1:13:09the ass tonight. That's our Knicks fan, Jeff.
- 1:13:13He's not. He's a Celtic fan anyways.
- 1:13:16Hey, nobody. But he claims he's a Knicks fan
- 1:13:19since 2023. He might have three nuts.
- 1:13:21And and Errol claims he's a Jets fan but loves Philadelphia
- 1:13:23Eagles. It happens to the, do you?
- 1:13:25Even know why I like Philadelphia?
- 1:13:27I don't want to know why I I don't I.
- 1:13:29Really. Don't, Donovan McNabb.
- 1:13:31That's why I I. He loves how Donovan McNabb got
- 1:13:35brought down by OCU Manora 6 times in that one.
- 1:13:37He tastes himself. No, that's not a huge fan.
- 1:13:40Anyway, I never ever played in 20 years, so he's.
- 1:13:42Still might, dude. I followed him his whole career.
- 1:13:46Even when he played up in Syracuse, I loved him.
- 1:13:49He was my favorite player. I watched him play high school
- 1:13:52ball. He was always, as a kid, I
- 1:13:55always loved him. So when he went to the Eagles, I
- 1:13:57rooted for him so and I stuck by it.
- 1:14:00The The Jets have always been a bad organization, a bad team.
- 1:14:03But I, I I'm a Jet fan. Yeah, they have two. 1009 we
- 1:14:07went to the ABC Championship. Sorry, we're going to mention
- 1:14:10times that were good and and they failed.
- 1:14:13To get we're on a little drought, we're going to rebuild
- 1:14:15the Facebook, we'll see the playoffs they've.
- 1:14:16Never seen the promised land in any of those years, so I.
- 1:14:20You can We went to the promised Land in the Sixties, 1960, but.
- 1:14:231969. Q They could have done that.
- 1:14:25Aaron Klein wasn't born yet. Made my nipples hard.
- 1:14:27Anyways, that, that's about it. I wasn't even alive to make my
- 1:14:30nipples hard. Anyways.
- 1:14:32Anyways, that's it for our show, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:14:35I got to go. I got to take a dump.
- 1:14:37I got to go. Goodnight guys, please.
- 1:14:39Got to go worldwide. Sports Radio Network Network.
