Transcript
- 0:07Speaker 1: It's media podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Welcome to Meet Eater Trivia, the only game show where
- 0:12Speaker 2: conservation always wins. I am not your host, Spencer Newhart,
- 0:16Speaker 2: but rather your guest host, Phil the Engineer full legal name.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Today we're joined by Spencer, Brody, col Randall, Nate, Max Reva,
- 0:25Speaker 2: and Corey Hey. If you've never heard of Phil's Trivia
- 0:28Speaker 2: on Meat Eater Radio Live, you're in for a rude awakening.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Buco because normally this is a ten round quiz show
- 0:33Speaker 2: with questions from meat eaters four verticals, which are hunting, fishing,
- 0:36Speaker 2: conservation and cooking. Today, however, this is a ten round
- 0:39Speaker 2: quiz show with questions from the world of cinema.
- 0:43Speaker 3: That's right, when the mice are away.
- 0:45Speaker 2: The cheese will play, and there is a prize. Meat
- 0:48Speaker 2: Eater will donate five hundred dollars to the conservation organization
- 0:51Speaker 2: of the winners choosing. Now you may be asking yourself
- 0:54Speaker 2: why is Phil hosting when Spencer, Brody, Randall, and Giannis
- 0:58Speaker 2: are all here as well. Well, it's kind of a
- 1:00Speaker 2: crazy story because last week I was having lunch with
- 1:02Speaker 2: Spencer when the movie one hundred and twenty seven Hours
- 1:04Speaker 2: came up. Spencer, do you mind if I tell the story. Okay, well, yeah,
- 1:07Speaker 2: you guys know, you know, starring James Franco. James Franco
- 1:12Speaker 2: did Danny Boyle Finer, based on a true story. A
- 1:17Speaker 2: big boulder fell got his arm pinned on under the boulder.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I was talking to Spencer. I was saying, hey, like, man,
- 1:23Speaker 2: that'd be tough to do.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I don't know. I think I might just die.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I don't know if I could cut my own arm off,
- 1:27Speaker 2: and h Spencer piped in and he said he wouldn't
- 1:30Speaker 2: have to cut his arm off if he were in
- 1:31Speaker 2: that situation. And I said, you know, okay, I'll take
- 1:35Speaker 2: the bait. What do you mean And he told me
- 1:37Speaker 2: he would just simply ask the rock to move. And
- 1:40Speaker 2: after four seconds of awkward laughter, I realized he wasn't joking,
- 1:44Speaker 2: and I said, Spencer, rocks aren't animate. They can't move
- 1:46Speaker 2: of their own volition, their lifeless. They don't have ears
- 1:49Speaker 2: or a central nervous system required to respond to you know,
- 1:51Speaker 2: this sort of external stimuli. And Spencer just looked me
- 1:54Speaker 2: in the eye and he said, don't act like you
- 1:55Speaker 2: know them. He said, you fools will never understand them.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I'll show you.
- 1:59Speaker 4: I'll show of you.
- 2:00Speaker 3: He ran out of the office. It was nuts.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I called Shelby and she told me that he packed
- 2:05Speaker 2: a bag and said he was taking the next flight
- 2:06Speaker 2: to Salt Lake City. Well, anyway, we put out a
- 2:08Speaker 2: message to people in Utah who might be able to
- 2:10Speaker 2: head down to Canyon Lands and look for our guy.
- 2:12Speaker 2: But we told him just to follow the scent of
- 2:14Speaker 2: a burning Casey Musgraves branded a candle. Yeah, you be
- 2:17Speaker 2: sure to bring a bone saw. But lo and behold
- 2:20Speaker 2: they found Spencer, both arms intact, which makes me believe
- 2:23Speaker 2: I think you made a new friend down there.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Spencer.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Congratulations, we're all happy you made it Backstation Sound. But
- 2:28Speaker 2: amongst all that hubbu, we were scrambling to put a
- 2:30Speaker 2: show together. You know, Rody and Randam were busy writing books.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Giannis was zip tied to a treadmill training through his
- 2:36Speaker 2: next five hundred K or some shit. So norm so
- 2:39Speaker 2: naturally the responsibility fell to me. I'm sorry, awesome, this
- 2:44Speaker 2: week's fake you coming.
- 2:45Speaker 5: It's not that it's the week before Christmas break and
- 2:49Speaker 5: we have to bang a bunch of podcasts and I
- 2:51Speaker 5: just got my wisdom teeth out, so I didn't have
- 2:53Speaker 5: a lot of time to write. So, oh yeah, I asked, Yeah,
- 2:56Speaker 5: that's not how it happens.
- 2:58Speaker 6: Is this after the wisdom teeth?
- 3:00Speaker 5: When was it filled?
- 3:00Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 3:01Speaker 5: It must have been after. How was that for you?
- 3:06Speaker 5: I was it was pretty fine? Yeah, how did you
- 3:08Speaker 5: get out? This is a weird story?
- 3:13Speaker 4: Three three of them?
- 3:14Speaker 5: They started digging for the fourth and realized I didn't
- 3:16Speaker 5: have a fourth and they were looking at a different patients.
- 3:18Speaker 5: X ray, I'm done.
- 3:21Speaker 4: At that dentist. I was awake. Isn't that noise when
- 3:27Speaker 4: the awesome?
- 3:28Speaker 3: Did you hear it?
- 3:29Speaker 5: I said this to my wife. I was like, can
- 3:31Speaker 5: I tell you about it? And she's like no, But
- 3:33Speaker 5: if she would have let me, I would have said
- 3:34Speaker 5: it was really satisfying.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Oh god, the noise it makes you because.
- 3:37Speaker 5: You can't I was not knocked out teeth, No, And
- 3:42Speaker 5: I forgot to ask that. I went into it prepared
- 3:44Speaker 5: to ask that question. I forgot to you. So I
- 3:46Speaker 5: don't have my wisdom teeth mine in a bag with
- 3:49Speaker 5: all my elkive reasons.
- 3:52Speaker 6: How did you find out?
- 3:52Speaker 5: They were going off the other patients? The doctor came
- 3:56Speaker 5: in and admitted it later a guy, we're done going
- 4:00Speaker 5: to that dentist now, So I'm about to slack the
- 4:02Speaker 5: Bozeman channel and say, hey, does anyone have recommendations that
- 4:05Speaker 5: aren't this place? I have one for you, Okay, hopefully
- 4:08Speaker 5: it's not the same one.
- 4:10Speaker 6: I need a dentist too. I got ten years.
- 4:13Speaker 7: But I have fantastic teeth jeans, so I don't need it.
- 4:17Speaker 5: We also had a dentist win trivia one day, and
- 4:20Speaker 5: I don't remember who that was.
- 4:21Speaker 6: Maybe dentist.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Yeah, the guy who's killed like ten mountain goats.
- 4:25Speaker 8: Oh.
- 4:25Speaker 5: I thought you're gonna say patients.
- 4:26Speaker 7: No alliance Phil?
- 4:29Speaker 5: What else you got over there?
- 4:31Speaker 2: Today's IFA Hugh comes from Tyler Rosser. Tyler writes, we.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Demand Phil playing video games on the company dime.
- 4:38Speaker 2: There are threes of us. Wow, thanks Tyler? Is this
- 4:41Speaker 2: a question?
- 4:42Speaker 4: No?
- 4:42Speaker 3: Is it infrequent? Yeah?
- 4:45Speaker 2: Here's a story after I put out a tongue in
- 4:47Speaker 2: cheek call to action on med Eater Radio to write
- 4:49Speaker 2: in and demand a meat Eater video game stream. Not one,
- 4:53Speaker 2: not two, not three, Tyler, but like ten of you
- 4:56Speaker 2: wrote it.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Wow, I know.
- 4:58Speaker 2: I just wanted to extend my thanks and tell you
- 5:00Speaker 2: not to give up the fight. So I'm here today
- 5:02Speaker 2: to make a second tongue in cheek call to action.
- 5:05Speaker 2: You guys know that certain type of asshole on Twitter
- 5:07Speaker 2: or wherever who will challenge someone to a bad faith
- 5:10Speaker 2: debate by claiming that they'll donate money to some charity.
- 5:13Speaker 2: You know, if if they if they accept the debate. Well, hey,
- 5:17Speaker 2: meat Eater c suite suits, listen up, I would love
- 5:20Speaker 2: to do a twenty four hour charity stream to raise
- 5:22Speaker 2: money for the Meat Eater Land Access Initiative. I played
- 5:26Speaker 2: the game Red Dead Redemption for twenty four hours straight
- 5:29Speaker 2: with fun benchmark.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Goals and special guests. Oh what's the matter you?
- 5:34Speaker 8: Hey?
- 5:34Speaker 3: I thought you guys cared about public land around here.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Red Dead Redemption has some hunting in it, digital animals.
- 5:43Speaker 4: We had a trivia.
- 5:44Speaker 5: Question about it before. There's even a cutaway scene where
- 5:47Speaker 5: you catch some poachers and you're you get to decide
- 5:50Speaker 5: what to do with them?
- 5:51Speaker 4: What did you do with I killed them?
- 5:54Speaker 5: I killed them dead.
- 5:57Speaker 2: That's a good idea, Thank you, thank you will great.
- 6:00Speaker 2: That was fantastic. Listen up. All you listeners have to
- 6:03Speaker 2: do is right into meat Eater at the meat eater
- 6:07Speaker 2: dot com and ask for it, then get three friends
- 6:09Speaker 2: to ask for it, and then they each get three
- 6:11Speaker 2: friends to ask for it, and then I would think
- 6:12Speaker 2: in one or two years tops, the name of this
- 6:14Speaker 2: company is now game Beater and Steve's.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Worst nightmares come. So I'm counting on you, the listeners.
- 6:20Speaker 3: It'll be a blast.
- 6:21Speaker 2: We'll want virtual mountain lions, catch virtual channel cats, and
- 6:24Speaker 2: live at our cowboy fantasies as industrialization in the Western
- 6:28Speaker 2: expansion slowly eat away at the last messiges of our
- 6:30Speaker 2: withering way of life.
- 6:32Speaker 3: All for a good cause.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Wow, that's good.
- 6:34Speaker 5: How do you raise money in a twenty four hours stream?
- 6:37Speaker 2: Well, you kind of create like benchmark goals, Like so
- 6:39Speaker 2: after a thousand bucks, I'll like, well, we'll do something
- 6:41Speaker 2: crazy like on the stream, like you know, I'll take
- 6:44Speaker 2: a shot of snake tequila, or we'll make Steve play,
- 6:47Speaker 2: or I'll put on or you know, I'll put on
- 6:48Speaker 2: a costume or something.
- 6:49Speaker 5: And you know, it's like, well, it's like when people
- 6:51Speaker 5: raise money.
- 6:52Speaker 6: I'm running a five K.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Yeah that works.
- 6:54Speaker 3: It's like a fun ride.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Well it doesn't.
- 6:57Speaker 6: I mean there's no real logic behind it.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Yeah, just an excuse.
- 7:01Speaker 7: That's great.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Yeah, anyway, that's a good idea. There's no housekeeping today.
- 7:04Speaker 7: I feel like you gave away way too much of
- 7:06Speaker 7: our internal process on how things get approved. Then you
- 7:10Speaker 7: get three fronts.
- 7:11Speaker 6: Send challenges to.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing.
- 7:16Speaker 2: The Adrian index for this game is a nine wow,
- 7:20Speaker 2: so our winners should get nine correct answers.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Yeah, goes backwards.
- 7:26Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 7:27Speaker 2: I have got faith in you, and with that we're
- 7:29Speaker 2: onto our game of trivia.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Play the drop me.
- 7:35Speaker 5: Resigns, It resigns.
- 7:38Speaker 7: That's real good. You're doing great film.
- 7:41Speaker 4: A Shadow on the Walls.
- 7:50Speaker 5: You're in the great game now in the great games, terrifying.
- 7:55Speaker 5: I think and Nate are the two to beat today. Yeah,
- 7:59Speaker 5: I would Nathaniel according to his board.
- 8:02Speaker 6: Yeah, changed it up a little new funk shui.
- 8:04Speaker 5: Okay, very pop culture of you.
- 8:07Speaker 2: All right, our first three question round is called common Denominactor.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I'm going to list three movies and I need you
- 8:20Speaker 2: to write down the actor or actress that appeared in
- 8:23Speaker 2: all three. Hopefully it'll make you go like that. The
- 8:28Speaker 2: first films in this first batch A Love That Angels
- 8:34Speaker 2: in the Outfield, Tropic Thunder, and Dazed and Confused. Which
- 8:43Speaker 2: actor appeared in all three of these films? And I'm
- 8:47Speaker 2: not trying to fake you out with like, oh, someone
- 8:49Speaker 2: had a cameo or like it was on set that day.
- 8:52Speaker 2: And it's also not necessarily the lead actor trying to
- 8:55Speaker 2: you know, somewhere in the middle.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Hmm, Randall, do you have this one? I have an idea, boy,
- 9:04Speaker 5: Brody's got an answer.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Angels on the Outfield is stump for me.
- 9:09Speaker 5: That's a good one.
- 9:13Speaker 6: Mm hm.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Again, the films are Angels in the Outfield, Tropic Thunder,
- 9:19Speaker 2: and Dazed and Confused.
- 9:20Speaker 5: I thought it was gonna be like the first cover
- 9:22Speaker 5: photo and I was like, oh, I know that guy.
- 9:23Speaker 7: Yeah, like perfect.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Does everyone have an answer?
- 9:29Speaker 5: No?
- 9:30Speaker 3: Okay, okay, let's talking out. Let's talk it out.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Oh you got this count, I'm ready to go.
- 9:36Speaker 5: You have this one?
- 9:37Speaker 6: Right?
- 9:38Speaker 7: I have no clue he's ready to go. Just by
- 9:42Speaker 7: good name an actor that was in two out of
- 9:45Speaker 7: the three of these.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Nate, do you have any you've seen the movies? Any
- 9:49Speaker 2: of these movies? Have any favorites?
- 9:52Speaker 7: Tropic Thunder is probably my favorite movie, but I haven't
- 9:54Speaker 7: seen the other.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I'm not gonna.
- 9:59Speaker 7: Change my You haven't seen Dazed and Confused?
- 10:03Speaker 4: Nope?
- 10:03Speaker 6: Oh they're they're big gaps.
- 10:06Speaker 5: It probably came out like twenty five years before you
- 10:08Speaker 5: were born, though, Yeah, but which.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Means one does not give that.
- 10:13Speaker 9: Yeah, so did cool Hand Luke like came out sixty
- 10:16Speaker 9: years ago.
- 10:18Speaker 7: Still have you ever seen it?
- 10:19Speaker 8: No?
- 10:19Speaker 7: Oh my god, great one, great one?
- 10:22Speaker 4: If you if have you seen Butch Cassidy and the
- 10:24Speaker 4: Sun Dance Kid.
- 10:25Speaker 5: No, If you keep asking me these questions, you're gonna
- 10:26Speaker 5: be real disappointed. It's gonna be no, no, no, I'm.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Gonna give you a movie list.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Spencer, all right, how are we feeling now?
- 10:35Speaker 7: Real good, real good?
- 10:37Speaker 3: All right, let's go ahead and see those answers.
- 10:39Speaker 2: If you shant to put your boards at your respective cameras,
- 10:42Speaker 2: we have, Spencer saying Matthew McConaughey, Reva with no answer,
- 10:47Speaker 2: Cal saying Matthew McConaughey, Randall saying Matthew McConaughey, Corey saying
- 10:52Speaker 2: Matthew McConaughey, Nate.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Saying Jack black Jack black, Max saying.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Will Ferrell, and Brody saying Ben Stiller. The correct answer
- 11:04Speaker 2: is Matthew McConaughey. Webside of the room did very well, didn't.
- 11:11Speaker 7: I made the mistake or reading that guy's uh buzz
- 11:15Speaker 7: got it? I read it read it green Riots, Yeah, terrible.
- 11:21Speaker 4: You read the whole thing.
- 11:24Speaker 7: I mean, it's like two hundred and fifty pages, I mean.
- 11:26Speaker 6: And half of it, just as Greenlight.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Texas's own son, Matthew McConaughey, recently went viral after he
- 11:32Speaker 2: shared his go to tuna salad recipe on the podcast
- 11:35Speaker 2: Two Bears One Cave, where he dubbed himself the Tuna
- 11:38Speaker 2: fish Salad master Maker. Going beyond the usual suspects like mayo, pickle, juice, vinegar,
- 11:43Speaker 2: his recipe also includes wasabi paste, Italian dressing, red onion,
- 11:47Speaker 2: Little Minnie Dill Gerkins, crispy halipano chips, Apple's corn, and
- 11:52Speaker 2: the kicker for me is frozen peas, specifically frozen. How
- 11:56Speaker 2: do you guys feel about that?
- 11:57Speaker 6: Dip man sounds fantastic.
- 11:59Speaker 5: He also said it needs to set for twenty four hours. Oh,
- 12:02Speaker 5: then it gets that part. So there he goes that one.
- 12:06Speaker 6: I would add chips at the end, so they don't.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Well, so these aren't. So these aren't like potato chips.
- 12:12Speaker 2: They're sort of like Crispy fried onions in jalepeno onions.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Anyway, The next batch of films American Hustle.
- 12:28Speaker 2: X Men, First Class and Silver Linings Playbook. Again, the
- 12:34Speaker 2: films are American Hustle, X Men, First Class and Silver
- 12:39Speaker 2: Linings Playbook, all fairly recent films.
- 12:45Speaker 10: We uh we saw American Hustle in the theaters with
- 12:49Speaker 10: my in laws and uh we walked out.
- 12:53Speaker 6: My father in law said, I hated that.
- 12:55Speaker 3: I agree with your father in law.
- 12:57Speaker 10: Well, he said, I hate mysteries, and we said the
- 13:00Speaker 10: weren't any mysteries. Those are just plot twists. But he
- 13:04Speaker 10: was just frustrated by the experience. I think it was
- 13:06Speaker 10: over Christmas Break a few years ago.
- 13:07Speaker 2: As soon is there something that he can't track or follow? Yeah,
- 13:10Speaker 2: fust it makes him upset. Yeah, okay, hm hmm, What
- 13:15Speaker 2: the hell is this guy's name?
- 13:17Speaker 5: I'm thinking of the main day, I've got it. I've
- 13:22Speaker 5: got two people. Can you repeat the question, Phil?
- 13:25Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 13:26Speaker 2: Yeah, So one actor appeared in all three of these movies,
- 13:30Speaker 2: American Hustle, X Men, First Class and Silver Linings Playbook.
- 13:34Speaker 7: The hell's that guy's name?
- 13:36Speaker 5: Now, maybe this is a hint, but if it.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Was, I think I know where you're going, Spencer.
- 13:45Speaker 2: There is some purposeful kind of you know, misdirection going
- 13:49Speaker 2: on around here.
- 13:52Speaker 5: Okay, Mmmm mm hmmmm, thinking.
- 14:00Speaker 6: No, just going with it.
- 14:04Speaker 7: X Men first Class?
- 14:07Speaker 4: What do you got there?
- 14:09Speaker 5: I've seen zero of these movies, neither of There are
- 14:12Speaker 5: two reasons for Brody.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 14:19Speaker 7: I've seen two out of the three.
- 14:21Speaker 8: Okay, oh oh, and I I think I know that person.
- 14:31Speaker 7: Oh, I just can't. I don't know the name of
- 14:35Speaker 7: the person.
- 14:37Speaker 6: Draw them. Yes, spelling doesn't count.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Just draw them.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Randall and I were at the University of Michigan versus
- 14:47Speaker 5: Texas Longhorns football game, and Matthew McConaughey was on the
- 14:51Speaker 5: field as he normally was, And we were a stadium away,
- 14:54Speaker 5: like a quarter mile away, and you could tell that's
- 14:56Speaker 5: Matthew McConaughey right there. He he carries himself in dresses
- 15:00Speaker 5: like no one else. Sure in that one hundred thousand
- 15:03Speaker 5: people person stadium. I thought there was gonna be like
- 15:05Speaker 5: a shining beam on him the whole time.
- 15:08Speaker 9: You seem like an X Man guy. Where does the
- 15:11Speaker 9: X Men first Class rank? And the millions of different.
- 15:15Speaker 2: You know what, I'm not an X Man guy at all,
- 15:17Speaker 2: But no, no.
- 15:20Speaker 5: There in Michigan, he was there territory. What did the
- 15:25Speaker 5: X stand for?
- 15:27Speaker 3: Xavier? Doctor Xavier School for Gifted.
- 15:31Speaker 7: Any more Brainbusters?
- 15:35Speaker 5: I'm ready, I'm ready.
- 15:37Speaker 2: How are we doing around here? We're good? All right,
- 15:39Speaker 2: go ahead and show me your answers. We have Spencer
- 15:44Speaker 2: saying Jennifer Lawrence crossed out Bradley Cooper. Reva wrote down
- 15:48Speaker 2: Jennifer Lawrence. Cal says Jennifer Lawrence, Randalls says Bradley Cooper
- 15:54Speaker 2: mm hmm. Corey says Jennifer Lawrence, Nate says Ianne Reynolds,
- 16:01Speaker 2: Max says Daniel Spade definitely an actor, and Brody says
- 16:08Speaker 2: Jennifer Lawrence. The correct answer is indeed, Jennifer Lawrence.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Yes.
- 16:15Speaker 2: The Bradley Cooper was in two of those movies with
- 16:18Speaker 2: Jennifer Lawrence, but he was not an X Men first class.
- 16:20Speaker 5: The question I was going to ask is if it
- 16:22Speaker 5: was a woman, would you say actress or would you
- 16:25Speaker 5: just say actor? And I'm glad reave it talked me
- 16:28Speaker 5: out of asking.
- 16:29Speaker 10: She couldn't have won Best Actor for any of those
- 16:31Speaker 10: performances by the standards of the Academy Actor.
- 16:35Speaker 7: That is that a football movie, no.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Silver linings, playbooks like she's.
- 16:41Speaker 7: Talking about in the microwave. That was fantastic, Thank God
- 16:46Speaker 7: for me, I think.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Was Everyone's got a great, a big acci. On top
- 16:53Speaker 2: of her archery skills that she put on display in
- 16:55Speaker 2: the Hunger Games franchise, Lawrence also skinned and gutted a
- 16:58Speaker 2: real squirrel for her breakout performs in the twenty ten
- 17:01Speaker 2: film Winter's Bone.
- 17:03Speaker 6: Quote.
- 17:03Speaker 3: I should say it wasn't.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Real for Peta, but screw Peta, she quipped in a
- 17:06Speaker 2: twenty twelve interview with Rolling Stone, and Surprise, Surprise, Peter responded,
- 17:10Speaker 2: quote as Henry David Throw said, the squirrel you kill
- 17:14Speaker 2: in Jess dies in earnest. When people kill animals, it
- 17:16Speaker 2: is the animals who are screwed, not Peta. And one
- 17:19Speaker 2: day I hope she will try to make up for
- 17:21Speaker 2: any pain she might cause any animal who did nothing
- 17:23Speaker 2: but try to eke out a humble existence in nature.
- 17:27Speaker 5: Wow. I don't think that would talk me out of
- 17:30Speaker 5: gutting a squirrel.
- 17:31Speaker 3: I don't think it would.
- 17:32Speaker 6: Know.
- 17:32Speaker 3: I don't think it didn't for her.
- 17:34Speaker 5: You know a lot of people lump like Hungry Games
- 17:37Speaker 5: in with like Twilight, but I don't think they're even
- 17:39Speaker 5: close to this. Enjoy Hungry Games, good franchise, all right.
- 17:45Speaker 7: Woody Harrelson's inn. That guy's awesome.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Last group of films, here we go.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Hopefully it's easy.
- 17:55Speaker 3: First movie is Road to Tradition.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Well, I've never heard of that one.
- 17:59Speaker 3: The Color of Money and Pixar's cars. Cars through me
- 18:07Speaker 3: for a loop there, Huh, Road to Perdition, the Color
- 18:13Speaker 3: of Money and Cars. I don't know.
- 18:19Speaker 5: It was this one for you to make?
- 18:22Speaker 3: It was.
- 18:22Speaker 2: It was a lot more work than I was expecting.
- 18:24Speaker 2: So it just made me respect you and all that
- 18:27Speaker 2: the other guest hosts more.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 18:30Speaker 10: I know I've talked about the Road to Perdition on
- 18:33Speaker 10: Trivia before, and if I remember correctly, all of my
- 18:38Speaker 10: references for the actors in that film were wrong.
- 18:41Speaker 6: I believe you corrected all of my.
- 18:45Speaker 7: I think I remember this what you're talking about. There's
- 18:48Speaker 7: just no way i'll remember his name.
- 18:51Speaker 6: I was.
- 18:51Speaker 5: I was with Giannis last weekend and he's got an
- 18:55Speaker 5: upcoming trivia he's hosting the game or whatever. He was
- 18:58Speaker 5: writing down trivia questions the whole weekend.
- 19:01Speaker 7: That's a good trivia question.
- 19:03Speaker 5: So hopefully I'm on that episode and I'll just there
- 19:05Speaker 5: you go. That's the way to do it.
- 19:07Speaker 6: Well, now that we know that you will be cured.
- 19:12Speaker 5: Named that clear, and that's the way to write an episode.
- 19:20Speaker 5: A lot of people ask me how long it takes
- 19:22Speaker 5: to rid an episode, but I don't have a good answer,
- 19:23Speaker 5: because a lot of times I just think of something
- 19:25Speaker 5: and I put in my phone and then it winds
- 19:27Speaker 5: up in a script later on.
- 19:29Speaker 2: All right, one more time. The movies are Road to Perdition,
- 19:32Speaker 2: the Color of Money, and Cars. One actor or actress
- 19:37Speaker 2: was in all three of these.
- 19:38Speaker 5: M hmmm have you seen all of these? Phil, I
- 19:44Speaker 5: have rank them.
- 19:47Speaker 2: I I have not seen Road to Perdition in a
- 19:50Speaker 2: long time, but at the time that I did see it,
- 19:53Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 19:55Speaker 3: So I'd say that's.
- 19:56Speaker 2: One color of money to cars three probably the order
- 19:59Speaker 2: I just and then maybe that was subconscious like the other.
- 20:03Speaker 7: Hit Man, the villain hit Man, and wrote.
- 20:07Speaker 9: You gotta stop giving away details about the movie, like
- 20:11Speaker 9: you might jar someone's memory.
- 20:15Speaker 7: You want to know what I think your money?
- 20:19Speaker 4: There are people.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Yeah, oh, I was gonna put lighty McQueen.
- 20:26Speaker 6: Larry the Sorry, Phil, I just messed with this wire.
- 20:33Speaker 7: That's fine, you're ready making sure?
- 20:34Speaker 6: Good?
- 20:34Speaker 3: Yeah? Oh yeah, how are we doing? All right?
- 20:38Speaker 2: Go ahead and show me your answers. We have Spencer
- 20:41Speaker 2: saying Owen Wilson, Reva saying Mater Cal saying Paul Newman.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Don't know that, Randall saying Paul Newman, who just said
- 20:50Speaker 2: they don't know, Corey saying Tom Hanks, Nate saying Owen Wilson,
- 20:57Speaker 2: Max saying oh.
- 20:58Speaker 3: For three, he's a right score.
- 21:01Speaker 2: And Brody saying Paul Newman the correct answer is indeed,
- 21:07Speaker 2: Paul Newman, you don't know fantastic, Yes, go to the growth.
- 21:14Speaker 11: Oh that Newman.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't like his ranch, So that explains it?
- 21:18Speaker 5: Is that actually him?
- 21:20Speaker 3: Yes, it is? Yeah.
- 21:21Speaker 5: Oh I thought that was just a coincidence.
- 21:22Speaker 4: He said that that was that round when he was
- 21:24Speaker 4: still alive.
- 21:25Speaker 7: Sorr, I'm ruining fell script here.
- 21:28Speaker 2: In contrast with Jennifer Lawrence, Paul Newman actually had an
- 21:31Speaker 2: obituary published Bipedo following his death in two thousand and
- 21:34Speaker 2: eight titled Paul Newman Remembered as Friend to Animals dude
- 21:38Speaker 2: to his philanthropic Newman's own brand, which produced several vegan
- 21:41Speaker 2: products and directed money towards animal protection organizations.
- 21:47Speaker 3: All right, our next three round, three question round is
- 21:53Speaker 3: called smilus or skirting the copyright. Hold on let me explain.
- 21:58Speaker 2: For this round, I'm going to play you the chorus
- 22:01Speaker 2: of three iconic John Williams penned movie themes, and you
- 22:05Speaker 2: need to tell me the movie or franchise that the
- 22:07Speaker 2: theme is from. That sounds kind of too easier to.
- 22:09Speaker 6: Play it backwards.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Oh well, he's saying it.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Great question, random, I'm going to be playing these theme
- 22:16Speaker 2: songs backwards. The audio is going to be reversed. Let's
- 22:20Speaker 2: see your algorithm find me now, g man.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Back masking.
- 22:26Speaker 6: All right, this is great.
- 22:28Speaker 2: The first theme, you need to tell me the movie
- 22:32Speaker 2: or franchise. I will accept franchise that this theme song
- 22:35Speaker 2: is from.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Ready, here we.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Go a little trippy.
- 22:55Speaker 6: I want something to play this at my funeral.
- 22:59Speaker 5: That is the Devil's music. Phil, all right, let's play
- 23:02Speaker 5: that one.
- 23:02Speaker 3: More time, showing it doesn't sound too bad.
- 23:25Speaker 5: Phil, if you had to guess, is just gonna get copied, right, dinged?
- 23:28Speaker 3: I don't think so. Yeah, Well, yeah, they're there.
- 23:33Speaker 6: This is a brilliant segment to a lot of.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Those put those those uploads people do where they just
- 23:38Speaker 2: like reverse the image and pitched down the audio a
- 23:41Speaker 2: half step or whatever. But I think we're fine.
- 23:43Speaker 5: You kind of came up with this idea. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:47Speaker 5: very good.
- 23:49Speaker 3: How are you feeling? Room great?
- 23:51Speaker 2: I like you answers Spencer saying Jurassic Park, We saying
- 23:56Speaker 2: Jurassic Park, Cal saying Jurassic Park, Randall saying Jurassic Park,
- 24:00Speaker 2: Corey saying Jurassic Park, Nate saying Jurrassic Park, Max saying
- 24:03Speaker 2: Star Wars, and Brody.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Saying Jurassic Park. The correct answer is Jurassic Park.
- 24:09Speaker 6: I might as well leave that on the board though.
- 24:11Speaker 7: For the next question, Spencer jinks, yes you know, now, Phil,
- 24:15Speaker 7: is this actual?
- 24:17Speaker 6: Is this the actual poster? Did you take a photo
- 24:19Speaker 6: of the VHS tape in my office?
- 24:21Speaker 3: Oh? That's the actual poster.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Do you guys want to keep talking about that for
- 24:23Speaker 2: about five seconds while I get everyone's scores.
- 24:25Speaker 7: In sixty five million years last.
- 24:27Speaker 5: Time ever, everyone in the room got a answer right
- 24:30Speaker 5: and I didn't. I was the only person to get
- 24:33Speaker 5: the next question right. Oh wow, watch out. Maybe maybe again. Also,
- 24:38Speaker 5: I think the number is sixty six million years Jurassic Park.
- 24:43Speaker 5: They just went for either the nice wrong, nice round
- 24:45Speaker 5: number or they're wrong.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Former resident and curator of Paleontology at the Museum of
- 24:52Speaker 2: the Rockies Jack Horner served as a dinosaur consultant on
- 24:54Speaker 2: all of the Jurassic Park films and provided the inspiration
- 24:57Speaker 2: for the Sam Neil character Doctor Alan Grant. To hear
- 24:59Speaker 2: more about out how Horner is tired of talking about
- 25:01Speaker 2: Jurassic Park, check out episode three oh one of the
- 25:03Speaker 2: Meat Eater podcast titled it Ain't just Chickens that are Dinosaurs?
- 25:07Speaker 5: And I put him on the spot on that episode
- 25:09Speaker 5: and said, hey, what would it take for a guy
- 25:11Speaker 5: to get to go digging with you? And then he
- 25:13Speaker 5: didn't really answer, and so then I asked him again
- 25:16Speaker 5: and then he's like, well, I guess you could just
- 25:18Speaker 5: email me. So I emailed him and he didn't answer,
- 25:21Speaker 5: and then I emailed him again and he did answer,
- 25:23Speaker 5: and he kind of gave me a hap Hazard invite,
- 25:26Speaker 5: to which I said, I'm coming. And then I went
- 25:28Speaker 5: and I dug for dinosaurs with.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Awesome kind of against his will.
- 25:33Speaker 7: He was great.
- 25:34Speaker 6: He gave you a pretty clear answer.
- 25:40Speaker 3: All right, Let's listen to the next theme played in reverse.
- 25:50Speaker 7: A Great Movies of All Bomb.
- 26:01Speaker 3: One more time, because it sounds so lovely.
- 26:09Speaker 4: What you got there, buddy?
- 26:13Speaker 7: What did I mean?
- 26:17Speaker 6: Oh?
- 26:17Speaker 5: Wow? Phil is is Cinema specifically your strong pseudent pop culture.
- 26:23Speaker 3: I mean no, actually, not not really. You know, I'm not.
- 26:27Speaker 2: I went to film school, but I'm not like deep
- 26:30Speaker 2: in the lore in the history of the film historians.
- 26:33Speaker 2: There are a lot of real dorks out there, and
- 26:35Speaker 2: that who I respect a great deal.
- 26:37Speaker 10: But this is probably your most accessible.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Yes, yes, for the true For those who haven't heard
- 26:42Speaker 2: what I've been doing on radio live, as I've been
- 26:44Speaker 2: doing like a third movie is a third music and
- 26:47Speaker 2: a third video games.
- 26:49Speaker 3: I mixed it up today. It's all all all movies.
- 26:52Speaker 5: Have you guys seen the new Jeopardy, The pop culture
- 26:54Speaker 5: Jeopardy hosted by Colin Jost Well Shelby and I watched
- 26:58Speaker 5: the first episode and I said it's three person teams.
- 27:01Speaker 5: I said a good team would be her, Phil and Randall.
- 27:05Speaker 5: So Phil and Randall, you guys could go assume to
- 27:08Speaker 5: l A and you guys could you can leave Shelby
- 27:12Speaker 5: out of it too, You guys would be good Jeopardy
- 27:16Speaker 5: pop culture. Now, she she covers things I don't know,
- 27:20Speaker 5: but you cover things she doesn't know. Yeah, but I
- 27:22Speaker 5: think those things Randal would So there'd be a lot
- 27:24Speaker 5: of overlap with me and Randall.
- 27:26Speaker 7: It's like there were looking at their wedding vowels right now,
- 27:30Speaker 7: that's right, all right.
- 27:32Speaker 5: How we feel and there's we were attracted to each
- 27:35Speaker 5: other based on our lack of old don't pop culture go.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Ahead and reveal your answers.
- 27:40Speaker 2: We have sponsors saying Indiana Jones, Breva saying Indiana Jones,
- 27:45Speaker 2: Caldi Jones, Randall saying Indiana Jones, Corey saying Indiana Jones,
- 27:52Speaker 2: Nate saying Star Wars, Max saying Titanic that is James Horner,
- 27:57Speaker 2: and Brody saying Star Wars. The correct answer is slapped.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Matt, it's just so fun readers, a little
- 28:06Speaker 2: lost dark or Indiana Jones. Great job team drawing there.
- 28:13Speaker 2: During the scene in the Well of Souls, in Indiana
- 28:15Speaker 2: and Marian are trapped in a room full of snakes,
- 28:17Speaker 2: producers supplemented the genuinely dangerous cobras and pythons with glass
- 28:21Speaker 2: snakes or ophsaurus legless lizards that can be indistinguishable from
- 28:26Speaker 2: snakes at a distance. Quote those literally could all those
- 28:29Speaker 2: literally you could pick up and put on your lap.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Actress Karen Allen told The Today Show in twenty twenty three,
- 28:34Speaker 2: I remember sticking my finger in their mouths, just to
- 28:36Speaker 2: prove to myself that they were as harmless as I
- 28:37Speaker 2: was being told they were, and they were indeed fairly harmless. Really,
- 28:41Speaker 2: do you have any facts about that animal? Glass lizards?
- 28:45Speaker 3: Anyone know?
- 28:46Speaker 5: They just look like snakes.
- 28:47Speaker 3: They doesn't look like snakes. Yeah, all right, last question
- 28:52Speaker 3: in this round. Listen up, m.
- 29:07Speaker 5: Have I wrote this answer down yet?
- 29:09Speaker 3: Phil hand Max one more time?
- 29:19Speaker 8: M hm m h.
- 29:31Speaker 4: I don't know, Yeah, you do.
- 29:36Speaker 6: This is uh.
- 29:37Speaker 10: I took a music class in college and we listened
- 29:41Speaker 10: to a lot of stuff that sounded like this played forward.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Sounds like a college music class. Yeah, this one seems
- 29:52Speaker 2: to be a stumper a little bit.
- 29:54Speaker 5: You don't feel confident, Yeah, I feel kind of cod
- 29:57Speaker 5: I'm surprised at how similar these sound. But when you
- 30:00Speaker 5: hear backmasking of like a C d C, it's, oh,
- 30:03Speaker 5: you have no idea what you're hearing. Apparently the words
- 30:06Speaker 5: of the Big Hang.
- 30:06Speaker 2: A lot of his scores, especially the ones that were
- 30:08Speaker 2: written around the same time, sound very similar. He definitely
- 30:11Speaker 2: worked in modes throughout his career, and also a lot
- 30:15Speaker 2: of his stuff kind of uses similar things.
- 30:17Speaker 10: I thought the Timpany in the Jurassic Park theme song
- 30:20Speaker 10: was just a dead giveaway. Right at the end of
- 30:22Speaker 10: that clip, you play that Tempany comes in and.
- 30:24Speaker 5: Oh God, sounds like sounds like in college.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Oh yeah, all right, Wow, I feel feel good about
- 30:38Speaker 3: this one.
- 30:38Speaker 6: Oh I could just got mark.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Are there ten questions film?
- 30:41Speaker 3: There are ten? We have four more after this. I'm
- 30:43Speaker 3: going to do a scoreboard update after this question.
- 30:46Speaker 10: In the future when you when you leave your uncapped
- 30:49Speaker 10: marker in my presence, please don't put it point.
- 30:51Speaker 5: Up like this.
- 30:53Speaker 6: You have to wash my hands God for the.
- 30:56Speaker 2: First time today. All right, I'm gonna wrap it up here.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Spencer saying
- 31:07Speaker 2: Harry Potter, Reva saying Harry Potter, Cal saying e T.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Randall saying Star Wars, Corey saying Star Wars, Nate saying
- 31:18Speaker 2: Harry Potter, Max saying Tommy Boy, it's your closest one yet,
- 31:25Speaker 2: Brody saying Harry Potter. The correct answer is Harry Potter.
- 31:34Speaker 2: I was being facetious. The actual title of this song
- 31:39Speaker 2: is Hedwig's theme name for Harry Snowy Owl that appears
- 31:42Speaker 2: in the first book and movie. Sure After some inaccuracies
- 31:45Speaker 2: were pointed out in her descriptions of the owl's behavior,
- 31:47Speaker 2: Potter author JK. Rowling responded, quote, I made a few
- 31:51Speaker 2: elementary mistakes when it came to my depiction of Hegwood Hedwig. Firstly,
- 31:55Speaker 2: snowy owls are diurnal, they fly by day. Secondly, they
- 31:58Speaker 2: are virtually mute, so Hedwig's frequents frequent hoots and chirrups
- 32:01Speaker 2: of approval and comfort, should be taking the signs of
- 32:03Speaker 2: her magically enhanced abilities. Thirdly, as countless well meeting owl
- 32:06Speaker 2: lovers and experts keep writing into me in the early days,
- 32:09Speaker 2: owls do not eat bacon.
- 32:11Speaker 3: He would feed her bacon all the time.
- 32:14Speaker 7: I bet an owl.
- 32:15Speaker 5: Sure, Yeah, Philly, you have a fantastic Beasts fan.
- 32:19Speaker 3: I like the first movies. The other ones are not good.
- 32:22Speaker 5: Couldn't that owl just have been a fantastic beast? Wouldn't
- 32:24Speaker 5: that have been clean?
- 32:26Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 32:26Speaker 5: Probably, and then she wouldn't had complaints.
- 32:29Speaker 7: Now, there's so many ways for me to weigh in
- 32:30Speaker 7: on this conversation.
- 32:32Speaker 3: I'll just next question, please keep the timeline, sure, I'll
- 32:36Speaker 3: just not.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Well, that's about halfway through the game, maybe a little over,
- 32:40Speaker 2: don't worry. I'm not gonna keep you here for too long.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Let's look at the scoreboard really quick. Maximilian, you have
- 32:46Speaker 2: zero points.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you. I'm glad you're here though. I always
- 32:48Speaker 3: love seeing you.
- 32:49Speaker 5: Oh, I love providing comedic relief.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Nate has two points.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Reeve A, Corey, and Brody all have four points apiece
- 32:57Speaker 2: and tied up in first place. Our Spencer and Randall.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Phil are you sure that I'm pretty? Questions and and
- 33:06Speaker 3: Cal there? Yeah, there have been six questions.
- 33:08Speaker 6: Oh I've gotten more than one wrong.
- 33:11Speaker 7: Have you?
- 33:11Speaker 3: Yeah? I don't think you have the Harry Potter.
- 33:13Speaker 6: And the Jennifer Lawrence.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Now there's an honest man for you.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Okay, thank you so much.
- 33:18Speaker 2: This is four point on the show.
- 33:22Speaker 3: There you are. I appreciate that, right.
- 33:24Speaker 6: I might have even gotten another one wrong, but let's
- 33:26Speaker 6: just stick with that.
- 33:26Speaker 5: Did you get Indiana Jones?
- 33:28Speaker 6: Yes, in Jurassic Park?
- 33:30Speaker 11: Okay, cool, appreciate it well.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Our final Roundey will consist of four questions and is
- 33:37Speaker 2: titled Posting on Maine.
- 33:40Speaker 7: I feel like Harry Potter after you have Indiana Jones
- 33:44Speaker 7: under your belt, is just.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Like I'm I'm spanning generations here, Cal.
- 33:49Speaker 7: That's right, Williams.
- 33:54Speaker 5: You'll cool sunburn there, Rana.
- 33:56Speaker 10: Yeah, and I actually photoshopped a bunch of milk out
- 33:59Speaker 10: of this photo.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Well you did.
- 34:01Speaker 10: Yeah, there's a stream of milt all down my belly
- 34:04Speaker 10: and leg from this fish.
- 34:06Speaker 3: It looks seamless.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Don't double tap that screen. I'm not talking about that
- 34:09Speaker 2: kind of post. I am going to show you a
- 34:10Speaker 2: cropped and zoomed in portion of an iconic movie poster,
- 34:14Speaker 2: and I need you to tell me what movie you
- 34:16Speaker 2: believe the poster is advertising. I did not write any
- 34:20Speaker 2: follow up factoids to half acidly tie these moved into
- 34:22Speaker 2: our four verticals this time. But the theme of my
- 34:25Speaker 2: images is eyes and animals have eyes, right.
- 34:28Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, some of them?
- 34:29Speaker 11: There you go, so it's good. The first photo, what movie?
- 34:41Speaker 3: Is this?
- 34:42Speaker 2: Image from a movie poster? The movie poster for the
- 34:46Speaker 2: movie we will not be accepting the actor? And can
- 34:53Speaker 2: does anyone?
- 34:54Speaker 7: What's the point of this? I think I wasn't paying attention.
- 34:57Speaker 3: It's cinema col.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Poster?
- 35:00Speaker 5: Is that from it's zoomed in?
- 35:03Speaker 2: And are the words accurate on it? The words are
- 35:07Speaker 2: a part of the poster. The words are a part
- 35:10Speaker 2: of the poster.
- 35:11Speaker 5: I think I got a good answer.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Does someone want to describe what we're looking at for
- 35:17Speaker 3: the audio listeners.
- 35:18Speaker 5: It says looks like five million friends. Wrong again, million
- 35:26Speaker 5: looks like a Caucasian male about twenty four years old.
- 35:30Speaker 6: Those brown or hazel eyes, I think they're blue.
- 35:33Speaker 5: I think he's kind of got a Mona Lisa thing
- 35:35Speaker 5: going on, piercing. We don't know if he's smiling.
- 35:38Speaker 10: And we can see him from the mid of his
- 35:40Speaker 10: forehead to just below the tip of his nose, maybe
- 35:43Speaker 10: even just intersecting with the tip of his nose the
- 35:46Speaker 10: bottom border of our photo here.

- 36:55Speaker 2: Hm, oh, you're a look at a half of a
- 37:02Speaker 2: pair of aviator style glasses, very reflective, some sort of
- 37:07Speaker 2: lit skyline moving in the reflection of the glasses.
- 37:10Speaker 6: And the image is distorted.
- 37:11Speaker 3: It's a little distorted, it's a little warp. It's kind
- 37:13Speaker 3: of twisted.
- 37:14Speaker 2: I would say, Rand, did you use that? I did
- 37:17Speaker 2: not distort it? No, I know this is this is
- 37:19Speaker 2: pulled from the movie poster.
- 37:23Speaker 7: Why was everybody so into the social network?
- 37:26Speaker 3: I mean that and.
- 37:27Speaker 5: The five hundred million friends gave it away? I didn't know.
- 37:29Speaker 7: I figured it was I was thinking, maybe, like remember
- 37:33Speaker 7: I Rack Noophobia? That was a good movie. Got a
- 37:38Speaker 7: lot of bugs, a lot of bugs out there.
- 37:41Speaker 5: That dude from Friends who just died was in that movie.
- 37:43Speaker 6: Wasn't he Perry?
- 37:44Speaker 3: Matthew Perry?
- 37:46Speaker 7: Was he in I Rack Noophobia? I never saw it,
- 37:48Speaker 7: but I'm John Goodman's in there as usual.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Great movie.
- 37:53Speaker 6: God, I loved him. The Flintstones.
- 37:56Speaker 5: I think they're making a second Flintstones.

- 38:16Speaker 2: and loathing in Las Vegas. Cal wrote down fear and
- 38:19Speaker 2: loathing in Las Vegas. Randall fear and Loathing, Corey fear
- 38:23Speaker 2: and Loathing, Nate Fight Club, Max top Gun, and Brody
- 38:28Speaker 2: Bright Lights, Big City.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Correct answer is fear and loathing in Las.
- 38:35Speaker 7: Vegas Aviators, top Gun, I get it, Yeah, yeah, I

- 38:43Speaker 3: Next image, whoa little freaky.
- 38:50Speaker 5: Well freaky you know this? Max?
- 38:52Speaker 2: Maybe so this is sort of like a like it's
- 38:55Speaker 2: kind of like a dot matrix, sort of like a
- 38:57Speaker 2: bunch of dots that look like a creepy pair of
- 38:59Speaker 2: eyes on a yellow background.
- 39:02Speaker 6: Mm hmm.
- 39:04Speaker 7: Maybe the first thing.
- 39:05Speaker 5: That came to my mind wrote down what you got?
- 39:09Speaker 3: I'm Brody my.
- 39:12Speaker 5: Hm hmm.

- 39:26Speaker 6: Don't think I'm right.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Well, they sit at Randall just my record.
- 39:32Speaker 6: No, just your answer.
- 39:35Speaker 5: Did you look at it?
- 39:36Speaker 6: Yeah? It was blamely visible.
- 39:39Speaker 4: Looks like the cover.
- 39:39Speaker 5: Of a Radiohead album.
- 39:41Speaker 3: M hmm, yeah, I can see that the bends.
- 39:46Speaker 6: Yes, I don't know.
- 39:50Speaker 5: Shoot yellow stumped room.
- 39:56Speaker 8: I know.
- 39:56Speaker 2: I when I first made this round, I thought it
- 39:58Speaker 2: was too easy, so I replaced of them, and now
- 40:00Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Maybe I should have gone back to the other. You
- 40:04Speaker 3: guys are doing pretty well.
- 40:05Speaker 7: You're moving the spread.
- 40:07Speaker 5: Mm hmm. Were you impressed with Adrian or did you
- 40:10Speaker 5: think that nine was what she would get?
- 40:13Speaker 2: I you know, I was thinking eight or nine. Honestly,
- 40:15Speaker 2: I thought I thought nine was I thought she would
- 40:17Speaker 2: get eight. She missed was solid. She got this one correct.
- 40:20Speaker 3: Shit, this is one of her fastest ones.
- 40:25Speaker 2: So girls know this, Yes, that is what we can
- 40:28Speaker 2: draw from this information, or, as Yanni would say, the
- 40:31Speaker 2: female mind.
- 40:35Speaker 7: Hm hm m what do girls do with their spare time?
- 40:42Speaker 2: All right, I'm gonna wrap it up here in a
- 40:43Speaker 2: couple of seconds. Go ahead and reveal your answers. You know,
- 40:49Speaker 2: Spencer saying the Shining, Reva saying the Shining, Cal's saying
- 40:56Speaker 2: where the wild things are?
- 40:58Speaker 6: Randall's saying the I was going to write the Shining.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Yeah, probably without an answer, saying chucky, Max saying kill Bill,
- 41:07Speaker 2: and Brody's saying Silence of the Lambs. Correct answer is.
- 41:12Speaker 8: The oh.
- 41:15Speaker 5: Hell yeah, nice job, guys, I have.
- 41:21Speaker 3: Poster.
- 41:22Speaker 5: Yeah that that looks fake to me.
- 41:24Speaker 3: That was the very real poster, all right.
- 41:27Speaker 6: It was just a wild guess for you.
- 41:28Speaker 5: It was like the like the face, yeah, exactly sure,
- 41:33Speaker 5: Like what what he does when he breaks through the
- 41:35Speaker 5: or when he's trying to come through the door. That
- 41:37Speaker 5: was the only thing I could think of.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what this is supposed to be
- 41:40Speaker 2: recalling it looks like a kind of a creepy baby
- 41:42Speaker 2: when there there are no creepy babies in the Shining.
- 41:45Speaker 5: It also looked like seventies whenever that came out.
- 41:48Speaker 7: Book is Super creepy. The movie's fantastic.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Last scoreboard update here Max zero points, nate'scot three.
- 41:59Speaker 3: I think this is correct, But if you guys have
- 42:00Speaker 3: been keeping.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Your own score, they're very possible probable chance that I
- 42:04Speaker 2: screwed up but got Brody and Corey with five points, apiece,
- 42:08Speaker 2: Reva and Cal with six, as well as Randall and
- 42:11Speaker 2: in first place, our illustrious hosts, Spencer Newharty has seven.
- 42:15Speaker 5: Points and no one can catch Adrian.
- 42:17Speaker 3: No one can catch Adrian.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Congratulations, I'm proud of you, all right, Final question, Final image.
- 42:26Speaker 2: I should say I made this one very difficult on purpose,
- 42:31Speaker 2: hoping that maybe there'd be one or two of you
- 42:33Speaker 2: that might pull it out.
- 42:35Speaker 5: Hmmm, little I.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Could pull an audible and tell the original one I
- 42:42Speaker 2: was going to do.
- 42:48Speaker 5: Phil declared before the episode that he didn't have a
- 42:50Speaker 5: tie breaker, and then he came up with one.
- 42:52Speaker 6: Phil, Have I seen this movie?
- 42:53Speaker 5: Don't tell him?
- 42:55Speaker 6: Has anyone in this room seen this movie? I?
- 42:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I would would say that probably at least three
- 43:03Speaker 2: of you have seen this movie. I didn't go, but
- 43:09Speaker 2: I didn't reach into the annals of some weird nineteen
- 43:12Speaker 2: fifties like you know, B movie.
- 43:14Speaker 3: This This was.
- 43:15Speaker 2: This is a critically acclaimed thought to be a modern masterpiece.
- 43:19Speaker 4: That's enough, Phil, Yeah, I didn't win any awards.
- 43:22Speaker 5: That's enough.
- 43:25Speaker 6: Hold on, give us a heads.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Up to we're looking at a sort of I don't
- 43:29Speaker 2: even know how to describe this. It's kind of like
- 43:32Speaker 2: there's there's a pair of female eyes, some some eyeshadow,
- 43:37Speaker 2: she's she's looking at iron eyebrows, some sort of I
- 43:41Speaker 2: don't I don't know what's around her head?
- 43:42Speaker 3: Is it hair? Is it something else? There's no way to.
- 43:45Speaker 6: Tell interesting, give me answer.
- 43:50Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 43:52Speaker 3: Shit.
- 43:54Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 43:57Speaker 5: Brody is the only one old enough to have seen
- 43:59Speaker 5: this movie, so that's not really fair.
- 44:07Speaker 6: A modern master.
- 44:08Speaker 5: Spencer, do you know it? No, I am not. I
- 44:10Speaker 5: don't even know what that movie is.
- 44:12Speaker 4: That's when Nate.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Mhmm, okay, I saw it. All right, how are we doing?
- 44:23Speaker 2: We're gonna wrap it up here, go ahead and reveal
- 44:26Speaker 2: your answers. Spencer says, gone with the Wind, Revas says
- 44:30Speaker 2: the Great Gatsby, Cal says Chicago. Randall without an answer,
- 44:34Speaker 2: Corey says Night at the Roxbury. Nate says Monty Python
- 44:37Speaker 2: on the Holy Grail. Max says the sound of music,
- 44:39Speaker 2: and Brody does not have an answer. The correct answer
- 44:42Speaker 2: is chinatowns Jack Nicholson.
- 44:46Speaker 3: How many of you have seen Chinatown?
- 44:50Speaker 2: You had two Jack Nicholson movies in there that I
- 44:54Speaker 2: did well with that last question.
- 44:58Speaker 3: That makes Spencer our Yeah.
- 45:02Speaker 5: Wow, that's job Spence and now thank you.
- 45:05Speaker 2: All it's left to do is to choose an organization
- 45:07Speaker 2: you'd like to donate these this five hundred dollars too.
- 45:10Speaker 5: That was fun, Phil, Thanks so much.
- 45:11Speaker 3: I feel like it ends on kind of a down note.
- 45:14Speaker 5: That was a hard one, A hard one. I'm going
- 45:16Speaker 5: to donate my five hundred dollars to the North American
- 45:19Speaker 5: Sturgeon Paddlefish Society. They're right here in Bozeman. They specifically
- 45:25Speaker 5: study and fund studies and do public outreach about two
- 45:28Speaker 5: of my favorite fish in the world, sturgeon specifically pallid
- 45:32Speaker 5: sturgeon and the American paddlefish. A lot of listeners will
- 45:36Speaker 5: never catch one of them or see one of them,
- 45:38Speaker 5: but if like me, it just makes you happy knowing
- 45:41Speaker 5: that they exist out there in American waterways. Uh, that's
- 45:44Speaker 5: a group that you should consider supporting, The North American
- 45:48Speaker 5: Surgeon and Paddlefish Society. We're gonna send five hundred dollars
- 45:51Speaker 5: their way. And that's a new organization that we've donated to.
- 45:55Speaker 7: Uf I bet they have some thoughts on irrigation and
- 45:58Speaker 7: the yellows Today.
- 46:00Speaker 6: And none of them have seen.
- 46:04Speaker 3: That'll do it.
- 46:04Speaker 2: For this week's episode of Meat Eater Trivia, the only
- 46:06Speaker 2: game show where conservation always wins.
- 46:11Speaker 1: You what a pro Yes Spencer from South Dakota. He's
- 46:15Speaker 1: the host, using those smooth mellow tones. He lays them
- 46:19Speaker 1: questions down. He likes taking those two and three year
- 46:28Speaker 1: old bucks. It is an avid amateur lockou
