- 0:34Speaker 1: Mark, I'm doing well, boy. A lot of things going
- 0:37Speaker 1: on in the world right now as we speak. I mean,
- 0:39Speaker 1: you've got obviously Trump meeting with President g I think
- 0:44Speaker 1: they're probably meeting right now. I get confused with the
- 0:47Speaker 1: big time change. And then of course now it looks
- 0:50Speaker 1: like the British government is is going to fall. There's
- 0:55Speaker 1: all sorts of turmoil over there. And then you've got
- 1:00Speaker 1: going what's going on in Los Angeles with this this
- 1:03Speaker 1: new Republican candidate who's catching fighter. It's just an amazing
- 1:06Speaker 1: time that we live in. And I think there's a
- 1:09Speaker 1: revolt against big government and high taxes and the liberal
- 1:14Speaker 1: stupidity in terms of the way that they govern and
- 1:16Speaker 1: the way that they keep taking more of our money
- 1:18Speaker 1: away from us and more of our freedom. So it's
- 1:21Speaker 1: amazing time we're living in.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it does go in cycles. Hey, let me start
- 1:24Speaker 2: with China. If you watch the American media then network coverage,
- 1:28Speaker 2: it it sounds like we're going over there, beggars hat
- 1:30Speaker 2: in hand with China. Yeah, our little economy up against
- 1:35Speaker 2: the big super power. The truth is their economy is
- 1:38Speaker 2: not so strong. We're doing much better than they are,
- 1:39Speaker 2: aren't we.
- 1:41Speaker 1: You know, it's so funny you should mention that because
- 1:42Speaker 1: I was just writing something for Tomorrow's Hotline on exactly
- 1:45Speaker 1: that topic. So, you know, there's a New York Times
- 1:49Speaker 1: piece out today about how, oh, you know, China has
- 1:51Speaker 1: become the new superpower because Trump's such a horrible president
- 1:54Speaker 1: and you know, Americans in decline and China's ready to
- 1:59Speaker 1: take over as those superpower. And so I look, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: just looked at the statistics. Our stock market just in
- 2:05Speaker 1: the last twelve fifteen years has has exploded five times
- 2:12Speaker 1: faster than the Chinese stock market. They've basically been flat,
- 2:15Speaker 1: and we just keep going up, up up about now.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Of course, there are problems in now in America, people
- 2:19Speaker 1: are angry about high gas prices, high grocery prices, high
- 2:23Speaker 1: housing prices. But my god, you compare that with what's
- 2:26Speaker 1: going on in China, which is just stagnant. And so
- 2:29Speaker 1: for the New York Times to say, oh, they're the
- 2:30Speaker 1: new model of central planning and having the government run
- 2:33Speaker 1: or anything, it's just crazy. But no, we I want
- 2:36Speaker 1: Trump to be very, very, very tough with President g
- 2:40Speaker 1: I mean, it's been a lot of pomp and circumstance
- 2:42Speaker 1: the last couple of days, but when he gets behind
- 2:45Speaker 1: closed doors, you know, we've got to get them to
- 2:47Speaker 1: be more well. They're involved in very predatory trade practices.
- 2:51Speaker 1: As you know, they are not helping at all in
- 2:54Speaker 1: the Middle East with respect to the you know, the
- 2:57Speaker 1: situation with the getting the straight Remo open and by
- 3:00Speaker 1: the way, they get more oil from the Middle East
- 3:02Speaker 1: than we do. So and then Taiwan is going to
- 3:05Speaker 1: be a big issue too, because they they are getting
- 3:09Speaker 1: very close apparently to possibly invading Taiwan. And you know,
- 3:13Speaker 1: Trump is basically said, hell, no, you're not. We're not
- 3:15Speaker 1: going to let you do that.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah. I just explained to people, there's no way we
- 3:19Speaker 2: can allow them to take Taiwan. What would be the
- 3:22Speaker 2: horror of that?
- 3:24Speaker 1: Well, you know, it's helps situation because you know, we're
- 3:27Speaker 1: thousands of miles away from from from Taiwan, and they've
- 3:31Speaker 1: always had their say Taiwan is an embarrassment to China
- 3:35Speaker 1: because Taiwan is so much richer than China is. The
- 3:38Speaker 1: average Taiwanese citizen has a living standards of three or
- 3:41Speaker 1: four times higher than the average person living in China,
- 3:44Speaker 1: and so that they don't like that. They don't like
- 3:47Speaker 1: to be embarrassed by that, so they want to take
- 3:49Speaker 1: it over. You know that Taiwan is critical for chip making,
- 3:53Speaker 1: for microchips in our cell phones and our computers and
- 3:56Speaker 1: so on. So you know whether or not we could
- 4:00Speaker 1: we would be able to blockade that blot them from
- 4:04Speaker 1: invading timeline. I don't know. A lot of people think
- 4:07Speaker 1: it's inevitable that's going to happen because they believe in
- 4:09Speaker 1: the one China, which means they just take over these
- 4:12Speaker 1: areas that that you know, we're once part of communist China.
- 4:17Speaker 1: So and look they're they're communists, These these are bad leaders.
- 4:20Speaker 1: This is an even umpire we're dealing with.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so yeah, well, hopefully this will be a very
- 4:25Speaker 2: successful trip for the president. Gas prices are up obviously
- 4:28Speaker 2: because of the uh the Iran conflict. What about the
- 4:32Speaker 2: inflation numbers weren't so good this week. That's just the
- 4:35Speaker 2: result of gas gas prices filled.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that was predictable. I mean, look, when gas prices
- 4:41Speaker 1: go up and energy prices go up, the price of
- 4:43Speaker 1: everything else goes up. I mean, it goes happen the
- 4:45Speaker 1: airline tickets and transportation costs and so on. I mean,
- 4:48Speaker 1: it's just inevitable. So we've got to get the look.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I want to make sure that your listeners understand there's
- 4:53Speaker 1: no shortage of oil or gas in the world, and
- 4:55Speaker 1: it's it's we're a wash in it. It's just you've
- 4:58Speaker 1: got these supply chaine disruptions that are happening in the
- 5:00Speaker 1: Middle East, and that has thrown, you know, the energy
- 5:04Speaker 1: markets into turmoil. At some point, it's going to get fixed.
- 5:08Speaker 1: It's a question whether it's going to be in three
- 5:09Speaker 1: days or three weeks or three months. But it's it's
- 5:12Speaker 1: really important for Republicans. This is a political matter, Mark
- 5:16Speaker 1: to get the strait of Hormues open so the flow
- 5:19Speaker 1: oil is flowing because if people are facing five dollars
- 5:22Speaker 1: gallon gas, you know, Republicans could be facing big wipeout
- 5:26Speaker 1: in November.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you get the same situation with fertilizer, and yeah,
- 5:32Speaker 2: ran conflict. Fertilizer prices going up. How does that ripple
- 5:35Speaker 2: out through the economy.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It's a big deal, you know. So I didn't realize this,
- 5:39Speaker 1: you know, until a few weeks ago when I started
- 5:40Speaker 1: looking into this. But there is a big for you.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Just ask a farmer, and there's a big worldwide fertilizer shortage.
- 5:47Speaker 1: And this is planting season. This is a spring and
- 5:51Speaker 1: so this is when they plant, but they can't plan
- 5:53Speaker 1: out if they don't have the fertilizer. And I didn't
- 5:55Speaker 1: realize we're so dependent on importing the fertilizer from the
- 5:58Speaker 1: Middle East and other countries. So that too has been
- 6:01Speaker 1: blocked by the Iranians who are not letting these ships
- 6:06Speaker 1: get through. And that could mean higher grocery prices. So
- 6:09Speaker 1: one thing that Trump should do is there's a tariff
- 6:11Speaker 1: that we impose unimported fertilizer. Well, this is not a
- 6:15Speaker 1: great time to have make fertilizer more expensive, so they
- 6:17Speaker 1: should probably lift that. That was a Biden. You're a
- 6:20Speaker 1: tariff on imported fertilizer. We should get rid of that
- 6:25Speaker 1: so that the farmers have enough fertilizer so they can
- 6:28Speaker 1: grow our crops. Our beans, our corn, are wheat and
- 6:31Speaker 1: so on are very much affected by this worldwide shortage.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, Steve Moore, our buddy Kevin Walsh yesterday got
- 6:40Speaker 2: officially now nominated as or voted in as the FED
- 6:44Speaker 2: share How's.
- 6:44Speaker 1: That con confirmed? Yeah, firms, Yeah, it's amazing. I mean,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I'm just so a glow over this because Kevin worsh
- 6:53Speaker 1: will be I think an outstanding FED chairman. He understands
- 6:57Speaker 1: what people like Larry Cobo and our la and Steve
- 7:00Speaker 1: Forbes have taught us over the years, which is that
- 7:02Speaker 1: you want a stable dollar, you want a dollar that's
- 7:06Speaker 1: as good as gold, and that we can't have inflation
- 7:10Speaker 1: and rise nine percent as it did under the worst
- 7:14Speaker 1: feed German in fifty years, and that was Jerome Powell.
- 7:18Speaker 1: So it's a good news that Jerome Powell is leaving.
- 7:20Speaker 1: It's very good news that Kevin Walsh, who does believe
- 7:23Speaker 1: in the strong dollar and does believe in fighting inflation
- 7:27Speaker 1: so that we're not going to see you know, food
- 7:29Speaker 1: prices and energy prices go through the roof. So I'm
- 7:33Speaker 1: very happy, but I'm disgusted, Frankly, Mark, with the Senate Democrats,
- 7:38Speaker 1: all but one Fetterman, all of but one voted against
- 7:42Speaker 1: Kevin warsh even though he's the most qualified guy. I
- 7:45Speaker 1: can't think of anybody more qualified in the country. You know,
- 7:49Speaker 1: he has the experience, he's a monetary expert. It just
- 7:52Speaker 1: shows how deep the trumpt derangement syndrome is among the Democrats.
- 7:56Speaker 1: They won't even vote somebody who's highly qualified, non pololitical,
- 8:00Speaker 1: just because they're trying to stick a finger in Trump's eye.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's ridiculous. Hey, you say, Jerome poul is leaving,
- 8:06Speaker 2: you think we might have to go to like landlord
- 8:08Speaker 2: tenant court, to a victim to get him. He'll never
- 8:10Speaker 2: give up that seat as well, he.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Said, Well, that's the other issue is it's you know,
- 8:15Speaker 1: this is this is a guy who hates Trump. He'll
- 8:18Speaker 1: do everything he can to try to disrupt the economy
- 8:24Speaker 1: while Trump is president, so he may stay on. And
- 8:26Speaker 1: it's really not far to Kevin worsh to have the
- 8:29Speaker 1: I don't I think it's been sixty years or something
- 8:31Speaker 1: like that. Since the former Fed chairman stays on the board,
- 8:35Speaker 1: it's just not done. It's bad for him. But you
- 8:39Speaker 1: know what's Field saying that that Jerome poul has a
- 8:43Speaker 1: lot of class with a capital A.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it's a terrible guy. Well, Steve Moore, you
