- 0:01It's Wednesday morning at eight thirty nine and taking your calls to keep you smiling
- 0:05with the healthy place. It's too Jim, how you doing this week?
- 0:16Bahalo and Alohawk calling in from the great state of Hawaii. Join it with
- 0:21my family. How are you, mister Sean fraz I'm doing really good.
- 0:24It is great to talk with you, my friend. I hope you're getting
- 0:26plenty of plenty of sunshine. I know you also are an active guy.
- 0:30You like to do some Did you get a chance to get out to some
- 0:32rock climbing or anything while you're out there? Oh, we are climbing on
- 0:37rocks. I am showing my young men here there's ten and eight how to
- 0:40climb rocks, and how to surf, and how to swim and how to
- 0:44just enjoy a nice time. And we got my cute little girl here at
- 0:48twelve and our baby boy two years old. Just a blast with the wife
- 0:53and we are just enjoying it to the mac. Oh. That is great
- 0:56to hear. And it's great for you to take time this morning to check
- 0:59in with us. And we've we've got some great emails this week also,
- 1:02of course, and we mentioned if you ever have questions. You can email
- 1:04Tim at find your Healthy Place dot com. Even better, just head on
- 1:07over to the website find your Healthy Place dot com. You can start a
- 1:11live chat right there with a wellness consultant. Even better than that, just
- 1:15stop in. It's such a great group of people. Whether it's a Fitchburg
- 1:18location, it's on Praier east side of Madison and Tim, of course this
- 1:23week. Halloween was this week, and I know a lot of us probably
- 1:26had that giant bowl of candy. Maybe we started a little bit of pregaming.
- 1:30I ate a little candy before even Halloween started. And Jackson writes in
- 1:34with a very very timely question. He said, at my last yearly checkup,
- 1:38my blood sugar level was in the pre diabetes range. My doctor didn't
- 1:44seem very concerned and said we should discuss medication, which I inevitably when I
- 1:49inevitably developed type type two diabetes, I feel like there has to be something
- 1:53I can do to prevent my blood sugar levels from continuing to increase. What
- 1:57are the options for dealing with this in a more natural way? And that
- 2:00email from Jackson, Yeah, Jackson, excellent, excellent question. It's a
- 2:06common question in our stores. Common questions for our community. We all intake,
- 2:10you know, carbs, which gets converted into sugar, and we all
- 2:14take in just straight sugar through a variety of sources, and that spikes that
- 2:17insulin. So we want to find ways and natural ways if we can to
- 2:22balance out those sugar levels. And there's a few different products that have good
- 2:28amount of science and good reason to believe that it will help you. And
- 2:31Glucose Control by Evergreen is one of our top selling products. So you can
- 2:38go to a website you type in glucose support and it'll pull up that product.
- 2:43And what I like about it is that has a nice blend of alpha,
- 2:46the poeic acid that's your top universal antioxidant. It literally converts glucose into
- 2:52energy, So not only will it help balance your sugar levels, but it
- 2:54will also convert those sugars into natural energy, helping you feel a little bit
- 3:00more even throughout the day. Berberine, mulberry, Jaminia, selvestra, banana
- 3:06leaf are all a couple other examples inside that product that bring the insulin levels
- 3:10to a balance. And we have had a number, sewn number of Type
- 3:15two diabetics. This is not to be confused with type one diabetes, Type
- 3:19two diabetics that have been pre diabetic that no longer are, and a smaller
- 3:25amount but still there Type two diabetics that have no longer needed the medications by
- 3:30need by taking this supplement here. So this has been my favorite for some
- 3:34years. The other product I like to bring up is clinical OPC grape seed
- 3:39extract. Clinical OPC grape seed extract. These make a nice team, the
- 3:46two products together a lot of science on this one. We in fact,
- 3:50if you stop into one of our stories, you can ask for a free
- 3:53book on the clinical OPC grapes that extract so incredible for the heart and diabetics.
- 3:59Those are the two. Nichel Jackson a great email, and of course
- 4:01you can always email Tim at find your Healthy Place dot com. That's Tim
- 4:04t I am at finds your Healthy Place dot com. And I've got to
- 4:08ask you to Tim as we as we were just talking about about diabetes,
- 4:12I know one of the things that uh, you know, and as somebody
- 4:15who who doesn't always eat the most healthy and is not always the most wise
- 4:18with my diet, I think we're all guilty of that. Time. One
- 4:20of the things my my doctor in the past has always brought up with me
- 4:24about blood sugar and those type of things and I good levels and all that,
- 4:29but he always he always would tell me, he says, you know,
- 4:31one of the things about diabetes is if you can do things in the
- 4:34early stage, make some simple lifestyle modifications, eat better, those kind of
- 4:39things, take the proper supplements, you can actually prevent yourself from developing that
- 4:45illness, which anybody that knows anybody that's that's suffering from diabetes, once you
- 4:48have it, it can as as we've you know Jackson talking about it can
- 4:53be you can just revoc on your life. You know. I have a
- 4:56very good friend that passed away named Rick, and he's battled type of diabetes
- 5:00and he wasn't able to get his arms around a healthier diet and it took
- 5:03his life. And it can be very difficult to watch loved ones or walk
- 5:08to ourselves goes through some of that. And diet really is everything when it
- 5:13comes to type of diabetes. As much as I like to bring up supplements
- 5:15that work and I work with those and sell them all day long because they
- 5:18help people, diet is your best starting place. You know. I have
- 5:23a little bit of a hero in this industry named doctor Whittaker, and he's
- 5:26out of California area, and he has cured hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of
- 5:30people, maybe in the thousands by now. But there was a point because
- 5:33he got so bold with telling his community that I, hey, you know
- 5:39somebody type of diabetes, we can cure him, and so much to the
- 5:42point that the state of California file a lawsuit saying, hey, this is
- 5:46a degenerative disease. You can't tell people that you can cure this. And
- 5:49doctor Whitaker said, listen, this is a very easy disease to cure naturally,
- 5:55and here is a hundred examples. And he literally brought in, you
- 5:58know this before digital was popular, maybe fifteen years ago or so, brought
- 6:01in one hundred real case studies, real examples, real people that he that
- 6:06were a type of diabetic for some years, and he totally cured of type
- 6:11of diabetes. So from a dietary standpoint in perspective, it is is not
- 6:16a disease you have to live with. So if you're listening right now you
- 6:18have a pre diabetic or type two diabetes, I want you to know the
- 6:21truth. And the truth is that you do not have to live with diabetes
- 6:26in your life, and you know, through diets supplements you can get that
- 6:30under control. There is there is something more dramatic too about bringing phone book,
- 6:34stacks of paper with clinical research into a court. Were much more dramatic
- 6:40than handing over a USB drive. I just you know, bring in like
- 6:46the wheelbarrel. And you know, I guess the best part of the end
- 6:49of the story is he won. You know, they said, wow,
- 6:51okay, you win. That's hard to argue with that. That's reserve.
- 6:56Talking this morning with a good friend Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place, the
- 6:59website find your Healthy Place dot com. That's fined your Healthy Place dot com.
- 7:03Three locations right here to serve you, Sun Prairie, Fitchburg, east
- 7:06side of Madison as well wellness consultants standing by. They'd love to see your
- 7:11smiling face this morning, or of course find them online finds your Healthy Place
- 7:15dot com. That's fined Your Healthy Place dot com. And Tibby as you
- 7:18were talking there too, just about you know, about helping people, whether
- 7:21it's whether it's people with type two diabetes or pre diabetics, and you know,
- 7:27get that message of like overall health, overall longevity, and let's talk
- 7:30about using that word overall kind of the big picture mission at the Healthy Place.
- 7:33People might be surprised it's really about longevity and really about living a great
- 7:39life, isn't it. Yeah, dude, you know, life truly is
- 7:43a gift and health truly is a gift. And our job, more than
- 7:46anything, is to remind people of that every single day. I like to
- 7:51say that we sell hope more than we sell supplements. I tell our team
- 7:57that, and if we can remember that in every single customer interaction, the
- 8:01goal for our community is to remind them the gifts of health and the gifts
- 8:05of life, and we do that in a thousand different ways. So if
- 8:07you're listening right now, and you know, what I would want you to
- 8:11remember is that that health is a gift, life is a gift, and
- 8:15that you're a gift. And you know, we might roll our eyes to
- 8:16that if someone's saying that about us, but it's so true. You offer
- 8:20something to our community that no one else has with your specific set of strength
- 8:24and personality and humor. You know, all that stuff is so powerful to
- 8:30a healthy, vibrant community. And there's so much intensity in life and in
- 8:33the world and in our news, in our media. You know, we
- 8:39need to take care of ourself. We need to nourish life and nourish our
- 8:43health. And so at the healthy place, you come in you ask the
- 8:46question, Hey, I'm low on energy. We'll tell you natural ways to
- 8:50increase your energy and you'll feel better. You know, you come in,
- 8:52Hey I have too much stress. We'll find there's natural supplements that really help.
- 8:56And I'll tell you, Sean, there's nothing cooler than somebody coming in,
- 9:00you know what. We'll kind of like, not sure what they're looking
- 9:03for, and that's okay. They're sort of like, Hey, I'm just
- 9:05gonna gonna test something out. There's nothing cooler to me than having that conversation
- 9:11talking to them a couple of weeks later from a simple supplement that costs thirty
- 9:15bucks and it can radically change your life. And I'm not exaggerating there.
- 9:18Because energy. If you don't have any energy, you're dragging yourself around.
- 9:24If you don't have you know, quality of life. You know, if
- 9:26you have too much stress, anxiety, depression, you have sleep problems,
- 9:31all of these things, you know, you know, join the club.
- 9:35The rest of the community is battling these issues too, and there's natural alternatives
- 9:39that work. You don't always have to go down a drug train or a
- 9:43surgery train. There's natural alternatives that work, and that's our job to help
- 9:46educate on that. You know, one of the things I've loved over the
- 9:50decade or oh nearly decade, you and I have been been talking, which
- 9:52is hard to believe, but it's it's been so informative. It is we're
- 9:56just we're just we're just a couple of years off from a It's amazing to
- 10:00think. And of course people always ask me what's Tim like and I always
- 10:03tell them he's just the same guy you get on the radio, is the
- 10:07same guy that you see when you get to hang out with them. But
- 10:09the other thing I love hearing is is when people tell me about their personal
- 10:13experiences. And we get callers too that call the show each and every week
- 10:16that that share their story and kind of reflect that mission that you were talking
- 10:20about. And when you say things like, you know, changing lives with
- 10:24supplements and people actually calling back saying I had this issue that was that was
- 10:28holding me back from you know, from achieving things or affecting my quality of
- 10:31life, affecting my relationships with my family and other things. And then they
- 10:35call back a week or a month later and say, oh my goodness,
- 10:39and folks can listen to back the podcast. It's absolutely thing I think.
- 10:43I think the misconception is is that there's these national chain health food stores,
- 10:46and actually they're the folks that got me into this trade. So I love
- 10:52them and I'm not knocking them. But I think our community views if they
- 10:54haven't been into our stores, they sort of view us as the same,
- 10:58like all another supplement store, another health food store, Like we're dynamically different
- 11:03because we've created something intentionally dynamically different. And when you come into our stores,
- 11:09you'll see a wellness consultant who was hired based on integrity and passion,
- 11:13not on knowledge and sales training. You know, knowledge can be learned,
- 11:20and integrity and passion cannot be cannot be taught. You know, you need
- 11:24to either have it or you don't. So you come into our stores and
- 11:28then we run our stores on core values like community and customer and integrity and
- 11:33knowledge, and so then it's sort of you we created. It's just it's
- 11:39I'm real proud of it. John because we created this army of wellness consultants.
- 11:43So when you call our store, when you come into our store and
- 11:46you have an honest question around your health or a loved one's health, you're
- 11:50going to get a passionate response with several options that have been tried and true.
- 11:56You know, we we are like a I like to say, a
- 11:58wellness consultant army, working with our community, constantly communicating with each other,
- 12:03what worked for this, what works for that. Hey this didn't work when
- 12:07I tried this for migraines, but hey we found this that did, and
- 12:11we as a team keep improving and you know, thirteen goodness, fourteen years
- 12:16into this thing, we have gotten really good. You know, I say
- 12:20it again and again. We don't pretend to be doctors or pharmacists. You
- 12:24know, we have some of the best in the world here in Madison,
- 12:26Wisconsin. What we do and what we do extremely well, is our expertise
- 12:31around supplements, brands, good better best, forms of ingredients, good better
- 12:35best, what's working for this or that in the natural supplement nutracurceutical space,
- 12:41good better best. We know nutrition, and we will guide you, will
- 12:45be a light, will point in the right direction. And that's what we're
- 12:48passionate about, not being the only source, but joining arms with the other
- 12:52sources in Madison and Dane County. That's literally changing our community for the better.
- 12:58It's really exciting. I really like those words. I'm dynamically different,
- 13:01that is for sure. And that's a great thing about the Healthy Place got
- 13:03wellness consultants. They are here to help you. All you gotta do is
- 13:07stop on in or give them a call. The easiest thing to do though,
- 13:09this morning, stop on in East side of Madison, Fitchburger, Sun

- 13:41Three locations for you, Son Prairie, Fitchburg or the East side of
- 13:45Madison, where you'll find the Healthy Place. Wellness consultants available at all three
- 13:48locations. You can also send in a message right online at find your Healthy
- 13:52Place dot com. I got a bunch of great emails, great questions before
- 13:56we get to that real quick, tim. I know you're in Hawaii,
- 13:58so you may not it may not have heard, although I bet you've probably
- 14:01got some emails and some calls from from folks. Get a little bit of
- 14:05snow here the last yes, Yeah, taking it all in, which which
- 14:16means a lot of us are going to start spending more time indoors and closed
- 14:18spaces around around people. And one of the things that happens. As much
- 14:22as we love spending time with folks, sometimes those folks are carrying germs and
- 14:28other illnesses, and there are things you can do to really give your immune
- 14:31system the best odds to fight back again against those And I know you guys
- 14:35bundle some things together as well at the Healthy Place. But it's really an
- 14:37important conversation to be having this time of year, your overall health when it
- 14:41comes to the changing of the seasons. Oh yeah, I don't think people
- 14:46have any idea how much one supplement can do to boost your immune system.
- 14:50And I've I've seen and my face has been built in supplements over time.
- 14:54You know, I grew up in this industry. I watched my mom work
- 14:58in a health food store. You homeschool growing up, and we go to
- 15:01mom to work. So I would watch just thousands of consultation and I'd see
- 15:05these people come back over the months and over the years and report their successes
- 15:09and their victories and their challenges, and you just start to get it in
- 15:13your DNA and then starting to actually, you know, sell myself supplements and
- 15:18journeying with these individuals for years and years and years. I think of some
- 15:22of my favorite customers that have just been there since the early days, and
- 15:26you know, you get to journey with these people and you watch it and
- 15:28then you watch it in your own life, and you watch it in your
- 15:31kids' life of how much of a difference one supplement can make in a virus
- 15:37or a sickness or a flu. And so I'd like to bring up a
- 15:39couple of things. You know, hey, you get the flu, everybody
- 15:41should have activated charcoal capsules in their house. First fine or symptoms or the
- 15:48flu, take some activated charcoal. It's incredible because it absorbs bacteria. You
- 15:52know, emergency rooms use them when people have overdosed on toxins or some sort
- 15:58of poison control uses it for getting all the bacteria and toxins out of the
- 16:03body. And flu you know, you have this bacteria and the virus and
- 16:07activated charcoal absorbs it. Because it's super poorous and if you're looking to strengthen
- 16:14your system against the viruses common this time of the year, elderberry is something
- 16:18everybody, every family should have in their house. Elderberry is inexpensive and it
- 16:23works. You know. I bring up the University of Sydney clinical a couple
- 16:29of years back that it actually prevents bacteria or viruses rather from entering the cells
- 16:34and it lessens the duration and severity of viruses. There's a bunch of products
- 16:40that contain elderberry. Get a good one. One of our top favorites is
- 16:42one called Elderberry Boom. You can go to our website type in Elderberry Boom
- 16:48and that has a nice kick of your active compound simbucus, which is the
- 16:52X compound in elderberry, along with your top vitamins and minerals for boosting the
- 16:56immune system. And I would say this time of the year, just take
- 17:00it for the whole winter. Something like elderberry broom one to three capsules,
- 17:04one to three times a day. You can't overdose on it and void does
- 17:08it work. It just works. Fantastic stuff. This morning, as we
- 17:11talk with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place online find your Healthy Place dot com.
- 17:17Let's find your Healthy Place dot com. Stop on end. They'd love
- 17:19to see you east side sun Prairie or Fitchburg location of the Healthy Place.
- 17:23Chat with the wellness consultants got more emails as well. Victoria writes in she
- 17:26because I'm really interested and I love this email. I'm really interested in learning
- 17:30about herbs and natural things that can help increase longevity. I hope not only
- 17:36to live a long life, but also be as healthy as possible. I'm
- 17:38in my forties and want to do my best to get started. Now,
- 17:42what do you suggest? And that is an email from Victoria. Victoria,
- 17:48excellent question. I like to bring up the foundation with this kind of question.
- 17:53Within the supplement industry, there's your most important supplements, and I'll bring
- 17:57up three, perhaps the most important and powerful and effective three supplements. You
- 18:04take number one, I'd have to say would be Heira Cercuman. Kira Health
- 18:11is our top selling single product. It's curcumin, but it's a specialized form
- 18:15of kirkcuman because people are taking turmeric and standardized kurcuminoids that are not absorbing into
- 18:22your system and that's not really giving the benefits because you're not absorbing it.
- 18:26And so a curcuman form that absorbs well is everything. BCM ninety five is
- 18:32one of my favorites. It's just a turmeric essential oils, it's sunflower lessis
- 18:36in, and it's standardized kurcuminoids. Bound together those three it creates something called
- 18:41BCM ninety five kurcuman, and it cleans. It cleanses the inflammation out of
- 18:47your system, out of your body. And if you don't know, inflammations
- 18:51like the root of all pain, and it's like the root of or a
- 18:53big part of all digestive disorders. It's the root of or a big part
- 18:59of all degenerative diseases. That sort of blew my mind. So you know,
- 19:03from a proactive standpoint and a preventative standpoint, daily cleaning your body of
- 19:08inflammation goes a long long way. And so once soft cell a day,
- 19:14you know, costs maybe twenty bucks a month, not not very expensive.
- 19:15That is, if if people come in like what if one phila day,
- 19:19tim one pilla day, what should I take? It's that one here a
- 19:22health order, a website, stopping our stores. Get it. Everybody in
- 19:26our community should be on it. In fact, we have a monthly a
- 19:29WC Wellness Consiltent Strategy meeting and we're asking the question, how do we get
- 19:33more of our community cleaning the inflammation out of their body. So we're literally
- 19:37having that conversation. Number two, believe it or not is a quality.
- 19:42And I say quality because most of them out there are not quality. Multi
- 19:47vitamin get in a capsule, not a tablet, because most tablets are heat
- 19:51compressed and don't absorb very well. Get in a capsule. It breaks down
- 19:53well. Lively vitamin, multi vitamin. That's our our top seller. And
- 19:59I like it because all the forms of the ingredients. You know, you
- 20:02need to absorb what you're taking. So if you have a bian koboaloman B
- 20:06twelve that's synthetic, your body doesn't absorb it very well. Massive kobolomin b
- 20:11twelve will absorb really well. So the lively vitamin CO multi vitamin that has
- 20:15all your higher absorbed, higher bioavailable forms of ingredients. And that's just because
- 20:22we all need a multi because we're all nutritionally deficient in one way or another.
- 20:26Everyone's nutritionally deficient in one way or another of foods. Not what it
- 20:30was fifty years ago, certainly not what it was one hundred years ago.
- 20:33Multi number two. Number three is a probiotic. So good and bad bacteria
- 20:37in your body is always in a race which everyone's winning decides the state and
- 20:42the health of the rest of your body. Enzyme production is backed up by
- 20:47healthy bacteria, vitamin production. The list goes on. Gut health is like
- 20:51the second brain, they call it, because your gut controls the health all
- 20:55throughout your body. So take a good probiotic. That's number three, and
- 20:59I'll see there because three the lot. But if you can get on those
- 21:03three one each of those each day, that is a powerful approach to from
- 21:07a supplement standpoint for general health general I was gonna say liability, longevity deivil
- 21:15Brian from the Healthy Place. If you ever have a question, don't forget
- 21:18it's always a great data stop. On end, they'd love to see you
- 21:21east side of Madison, Sun Prairie or Fitchburg. Of course, wellness consultants
- 21:25are there to help you, or of course head online find your Healthy Place
- 21:27dot com. That's find your Healthy Place dot com. Tim And you don't
- 21:33know if you don't know what to do, like this is the just wander
- 21:37in there. You don't need to know what you're looking for. But come
- 21:41into one of our stores. Just ask the question, Hey, you know,
- 21:44I'm forty years old or whatever, I have this issue. I have
- 21:47of that issue and it is very cool. Our wellness consultants don't get commissioned,
- 21:51so they're not going to pile a huge pile on the counter. I
- 21:53know how intimidating that can be. A U s stor hit GNC. Just
- 21:56come into the stores, say hey, I'm I'm kind of low on energy.
- 22:00My brain fog kind of messes with me. I don't sleep great,
- 22:03and just see what they recommend. Put it in your back pocket. You
- 22:06don't have to buy anything. We want to be a resource to the community
- 22:08that serves you and brings you closer to your healthy plate. Today is the
- 22:12day to get closer, to start that journey. Get on and chat with
