Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is back. What's going on everybody? It's
- 0:16Speaker 1: Jeff Mosher and Adam Kaplan And guess what it is
- 0:20Speaker 1: the new week and the Eagles will play not this weekend.
- 0:23Speaker 1: They got Monday night game against the Packers for Week ten,
- 0:27Speaker 1: so we have a whole week to go and another
- 0:29Speaker 1: weekend of NFL football action before the Eagles will play
- 0:32Speaker 1: Monday Night. But we also have a trade deadline on
- 0:35Speaker 1: Tuesday that will discuss and the Eagles Adam continue to
- 0:39Speaker 1: make moves as they did over the weekend, So we
- 0:42Speaker 1: will get into everything on this podcast. Of course, more
- 0:46Speaker 1: intel on Michael Carter, the second intel, of course on
- 0:49Speaker 1: their newest acquisition, Jayir Alexander, former Ravens n Packers cornerback
- 0:55Speaker 1: and why it is that he is now on his
- 0:58Speaker 1: third team since the last year. And We've got a
- 1:01Speaker 1: lot to discuss. But the news cycle did it feel
- 1:05Speaker 1: like the bye week to you? Because I feel like
- 1:06Speaker 1: there was more news than ever last week with the Eagles,
- 1:10Speaker 1: just because of all the you know, trades and acquisitions
- 1:12Speaker 1: and personnel moves.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, look, the you know I set an
- 1:16Speaker 2: interview Sunday. Alexander was not the name I was thinking
- 1:18Speaker 2: of I thought they were going to get someone who's
- 1:20Speaker 2: a little bit more of a stable situation. You just
- 1:23Speaker 2: mentioned that he's on a third team. It's kind of like,
- 1:26Speaker 2: what Gire Alexander are they going to get? That's the problem.
- 1:29Speaker 2: The Ravens knew they weren't getting the old one from
- 1:31Speaker 2: Green Bay and they moved on. We'll discuss what we
- 1:34Speaker 2: know about the situation. But yep, yeah, and the Michael
- 1:37Speaker 2: Carter one is is interesting. We talked about over the
- 1:43Speaker 2: over the last week. We think it's going to be
- 1:45Speaker 2: Nickel and backup Nickel and backup safeties kind of what
- 1:48Speaker 2: we've heard.
- 1:49Speaker 1: So that's right.
- 1:51Speaker 2: And Greg Cosell pointed out to us, I totally forgot
- 1:54Speaker 2: about this that Joe Casper, the safety's coach, was on
- 1:58Speaker 2: the Duke staff and Michael Carter there, so there's some
- 2:00Speaker 2: intel in addition to obviously Joe Douglas being with Eagles.
- 2:03Speaker 1: So yes, I hope everybody appreciated. We gave an extra edition,
- 2:07Speaker 1: a bonus edition of Inside the Tape with Greg co
- 2:10Speaker 1: Cell because of course we didn't have a pregame show,
- 2:13Speaker 1: so we did that to take the place and Greg
- 2:15Speaker 1: had some really good tape breakdown and Intel on Michael
- 2:18Speaker 1: Carter Junior and how also Nikobe Dean has played So
- 2:23Speaker 1: that was fun. Now, well we will do and ask
- 2:25Speaker 1: Greg Cosell as we always do this week on Patreon
- 2:28Speaker 1: Tuesday night, six o'clock, right, that's when we do.
- 2:30Speaker 2: That, Yes, six and tonight a valiant return for Tier
- 2:37Speaker 2: three members. John d. Filippo, the Super Bowl winning Eagles
- 2:40Speaker 2: quarterbacks coach, will be back with us. It's been a
- 2:42Speaker 2: while since coach coach Flip it's been with us, so
- 2:44Speaker 2: we're gonna have him so tonight and just go to
- 2:49Speaker 2: patreon dot com session inside the bursu's sign up.
- 2:51Speaker 1: All the benefits are. That's our Asking Eagle show all members. Yeah,
- 2:56Speaker 1: and by the way, that's Tier two and three for
- 2:57Speaker 1: asking Eagles, so they will get to Yeah, Tier three
- 3:01Speaker 1: is ask Greg Cosel. But Tier two and three we
- 3:03Speaker 1: get to ask the ego.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I didn't know that. Okay, cool?
- 3:05Speaker 1: Cool?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Oh even better, yeah, even better. By the way, that
- 3:08Speaker 2: now the Tier twos, if we move on, they get
- 3:11Speaker 2: they still get commercial free correct.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yes, they get they get everything Tier one and Tier
- 3:16Speaker 1: two gets. The only thing that they don't get is
- 3:18Speaker 1: to ask Greg co Sell every week. That is for
- 3:20Speaker 1: two three.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Okay, cool, cool everything else, Yeah, good enough.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yep, it'll be fun, and I know everybody's really excited
- 3:28Speaker 1: about it. And you know, I just think, you know,
- 3:31Speaker 1: Greg's really been hitting the tabelard and his stuff on
- 3:34Speaker 1: Michael Carter and n Kobe Dean was really good.
- 3:37Speaker 2: As well John Campbell. But you got to watch it. Yep.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Absolutely, So it was an interesting bye week for the Eagles.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I mean, two of the teams that were considered their
- 3:51Speaker 1: real threats in the NFC. You know, Ray Didinger and
- 3:55Speaker 1: Derek Gunn talked about this last week when they did
- 3:57Speaker 1: kind of a look around the conference. You know who's
- 3:59Speaker 1: right up there with the Eagles in the NFC. The
- 4:01Speaker 1: Packers and the Lions both lost kind of upset losses
- 4:06Speaker 1: by both of them, kind of crazy. It sort of
- 4:09Speaker 1: reminded me like Adam when the Eagles had that two
- 4:11Speaker 1: game losing streak against the Broncos and the Giants. Remember,
- 4:14Speaker 1: like nobody in the division was able to gain any ground.
- 4:16Speaker 1: The Commanders were losing, the Cowboys were losing or tying,
- 4:20Speaker 1: like nobody really getting down. And here the Eagles are
- 4:22Speaker 1: off and the Lions are red hot and the Packers
- 4:25Speaker 1: are playing well, and bam, both those teams lose.
- 4:28Speaker 2: It was upset Sunday. It was the Colts loss. Hey,
- 4:31Speaker 2: they were favored on the road at Pittsburgh. That certainly
- 4:35Speaker 2: was one. But the big one was the Packers choking
- 4:40Speaker 2: at home to the to the Panthers. I know the
- 4:42Speaker 2: Panthers have been a good story. They're certainly well and
- 4:45Speaker 2: for their defense is phenomenal. But their offense they have
- 4:48Speaker 2: trouble scoring. But they run the ball and that's real
- 4:52Speaker 2: good news for the Eagles as they come back off
- 4:53Speaker 2: their best performance against the Giants. Run the football. Yeah,
- 4:57Speaker 2: I mean for fantasy. If you got Rico Daddle this, dude,
- 5:00Speaker 2: it's ridiculous. Absolutely Now now you have them, don't you?
- 5:05Speaker 2: Didn't you tell me?
- 5:06Speaker 1: Let me just tell you. I have Rico Daddell and
- 5:09Speaker 1: Joe Flacco a backups.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Wait, you didn't play Flacco, did you?
- 5:14Speaker 1: I didn't only be I had been, But I also
- 5:16Speaker 1: have Matthew Stafford, who himself is on a heater. The
- 5:19Speaker 1: guy's got nine touchdowns in his last.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Stafford Stafford is on a roll. But yeah, so so
- 5:25Speaker 2: how it applies to the Eagles. Look, Rico Daddle crushed them. Yeah,
- 5:30Speaker 2: crush the Packers. They were getting into their injury stuff.
- 5:33Speaker 2: We have updated stuff through Sunday's game, which is interesting
- 5:35Speaker 2: and it's it's bad. Yeah, but the Eagles now are
- 5:39Speaker 2: their number one see it for now. They're six six
- 5:41Speaker 2: and two the Packers or five too and one. That
- 5:43Speaker 2: awful tie against the Cowboys at the Game of forty, right,
- 5:48Speaker 2: you know they have it. They have you talking to
- 5:50Speaker 2: personal people of the NFL's best roster. But that doesn't
- 5:52Speaker 2: mean you win. It's coaching performance. What an awful loss.
- 5:56Speaker 2: It's just they had no energy. They just couldn't get
- 5:58Speaker 2: things going. And the injuries are piling up for the Packers, folks,
- 6:02Speaker 2: they've got some problems for getting to in.
- 6:04Speaker 1: A minute, and I think right now, I mean again,
- 6:06Speaker 1: things will change. It's a week two week league. We
- 6:08Speaker 1: know that. I mean, geez, the Colts are on fire
- 6:10Speaker 1: and they go into Pittsburgh and kind of get their
- 6:12Speaker 1: asses kicked. So that just shows you how it's a
- 6:14Speaker 1: week two week league. But right now, when you look
- 6:16Speaker 1: at the NFC, instead of saying Packers Lions, I mean
- 6:19Speaker 1: the Rams are clearly on fire. They're six and two.
- 6:23Speaker 1: They gave a really good game to the Eagles and
- 6:25Speaker 1: a loss. We all know about the block part that
- 6:27Speaker 1: sound and the Bucks. The Tampa Bay Bucks were by
- 6:30Speaker 1: They've had a ton of injuries, but despite all of
- 6:33Speaker 1: their injuries, they are six and two as well. And
- 6:36Speaker 1: they also gave the Eagles a really good game, had
- 6:38Speaker 1: a kind of a comeback there, but that fell short.
- 6:40Speaker 1: But those are the two teams that and listen, I'm
- 6:43Speaker 1: sure the Lions and Packers will still be pretty formidable
- 6:46Speaker 1: as well. But it's an interesting NFC East, to say
- 6:49Speaker 1: the least.
- 6:50Speaker 2: NFC right seem right, Eagles are going to The Eagles
- 6:53Speaker 2: have actually have a lockdown on the NFC East. But
- 6:56Speaker 2: the Eagles have a tiebreaker now against the Bucks the Rams.
- 6:58Speaker 2: That's really important. If they eat the Packers in one
- 7:01Speaker 2: week from now, they'll have that tie breaker. They don't
- 7:04Speaker 2: play the Seahawks and they don't play the Niners, but
- 7:07Speaker 2: they do play the Lions. After this game. So and
- 7:10Speaker 2: the Lions, well, that was a I didn't see that coming.
- 7:14Speaker 2: JJ McCarthy played under control. They didn't, they didn't have
- 7:17Speaker 2: to do a lot. Their defense played really really well.
- 7:20Speaker 2: And the Lions are another team. Terry and Arnold got
- 7:23Speaker 2: hurt again. They're much belign cornerback situations gotten worse, so
- 7:27Speaker 2: they've got problems. The Eagles come off this buy. By
- 7:31Speaker 2: the way, in addition to Alexander, they didn't make two moves.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Marcus SEPs Well, I don't know what the injury was,
- 7:35Speaker 2: but we're not surprised that Orgelari was put on the
- 7:39Speaker 2: with Hampshire put on ir that's not a surprise space
- 7:41Speaker 2: on what we'd heard. But yeah, I didn't know about
- 7:43Speaker 2: the EPs injury. So they're down to safety. But that's
- 7:46Speaker 2: where Michael Carter could get because he was a safety
- 7:49Speaker 2: at Duke. Yeah, so he could. In fact, what we understand,
- 7:53Speaker 2: he's going to get some some reps there.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yeah, very interesting And by the way, you know, getting
- 7:57Speaker 1: back to the sort of the incoming matchup Monday night,
- 8:00Speaker 1: the Packers not only lost that game, but they had
- 8:02Speaker 1: some severe, severe injuries that will undoubtedly take their toll,
- 8:08Speaker 1: starting with the tight end. Tough for Craft, who really
- 8:11Speaker 1: got hurt.
- 8:11Speaker 2: And I know that.
- 8:12Speaker 1: There's fears that he's going to be out for the
- 8:14Speaker 1: rest of the year. Yeah, knee injury. That's that's a
- 8:17Speaker 1: tough loss for them.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Yeah, they know it's serious. It's just a matter of
- 8:20Speaker 2: is it an ACL or not. If it's an ACL,
- 8:22Speaker 2: he's done for the season obviously, right, Yeah, he's out,
- 8:25Speaker 2: he's we know he's not playing for the near future.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Certainly won't be playing against the Eagles, and it'll be
- 8:30Speaker 2: Luke Musgrave. Which it's interesting about Musgrave and Craft is
- 8:34Speaker 2: Musgrave was the guy everyone talked about for the draft,
- 8:36Speaker 2: not Craft, right, and then Musgrave gets hurt, Craft fills
- 8:40Speaker 2: in and then he takes over. He's the guy. Musgrave
- 8:43Speaker 2: is like a forgotten man. Now Musgrave will take over
- 8:45Speaker 2: for Craft. Jane Reid won't be back till December, broken
- 8:48Speaker 2: clavicle foot injury. Who's there really important player by the way,
- 8:53Speaker 2: very much. Who's their slot Don Davin Wicks? Who's their
- 8:56Speaker 2: one of their top backup receivers. He missed last week
- 8:59Speaker 2: against Carolina with a calf injury. Just mentioned Craft. Marshawn Lloyd.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Doesn't sound good for him to return the season he's
- 9:06Speaker 2: even played, he missed just about off last season. He'd
- 9:10Speaker 2: be their number two back man good who's gonna be
- 9:12Speaker 2: the third hound back? Yeah, he's not playing. And then
- 9:14Speaker 2: kolbe Wood, in one of the starting tackles, got hurt
- 9:17Speaker 2: with a shoulder injury. So they're beat up. They're beat up,
- 9:21Speaker 2: they're down at receiver, they're down at tight end. Not
- 9:23Speaker 2: a good time for the Packers to play. The Eagles
- 9:25Speaker 2: were off their by no.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I feel like for the Packers at him, it's sort
- 9:29Speaker 1: of one step forward or two steps back, because they
- 9:32Speaker 1: were just welcoming back Christian Watson, who's been playing well
- 9:35Speaker 1: for them, you know, for two weeks now, coming back
- 9:38Speaker 1: from the ACL and then to lose Craft. I mean,
- 9:40Speaker 1: we'll see what happens with him, but he's clearly injured
- 9:43Speaker 1: for a while, and not have Jayden Reid. It's just,
- 9:45Speaker 1: you know, they've just not been full strength all year long,
- 9:49Speaker 1: and it's kind of shown in their offense. They've been
- 9:50Speaker 1: very up and down offensively.
- 9:53Speaker 2: And Love was unbelievable for the twenty for twenty in
- 9:56Speaker 2: the second half that role at Pittsburgh. He brought them back.
- 9:59Speaker 2: When the we're down, it'll be Dobbs. You're gonna see
- 10:02Speaker 2: Dobbs and Watson start at receiver for the Packers. Musgrave
- 10:07Speaker 2: will take over at tight end. They go that, there's
- 10:09Speaker 2: that guy. It's funny. I've remember forget when you said
- 10:11Speaker 2: when Manuel Wilson came out and remember the first game
- 10:14Speaker 2: in Brazil last year. Yes, you're like, who is this guy? Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 2: Manuel Wilson, Yeah, that's that's who he is. Yeah, he's
- 10:20Speaker 2: still the backup to Jacobs because of Marshall Lloyd injury.
- 10:23Speaker 1: And Marshall Lion always hurt. I feel bad for the guy,
- 10:25Speaker 1: but he's always hurt. Marshaon Ye, he really hasn't played
- 10:27Speaker 1: at all in the NFL yet. And then you know
- 10:29Speaker 1: Bo Milton out of Rutgers has moved to the corner
- 10:32Speaker 1: of this season. That's right, brother of Max Milton with the.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Oh yes, yes, and Matthew Golden by the way, also
- 10:38Speaker 2: I should have mentioned he had a short injury the
- 10:40Speaker 2: first run pick r Yeah, there you go.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, So you know, obviously that's a good
- 10:46Speaker 1: break for the Eagles. Speaking of the Eagles, so they
- 10:49Speaker 1: make yet another trade and this has been the We
- 10:52Speaker 1: even talked about this last pod before this trade for
- 10:54Speaker 1: jyr Alexander. It has just been the season's worth a
- 10:59Speaker 1: very odd trade through the Eagles and Howie Roseman going
- 11:02Speaker 1: back to the you know, Gardner Johnson for Kenyan Green
- 11:07Speaker 1: and then you trade for John Metchie. He's with the
- 11:09Speaker 1: team and now he's gone. I mean, they've made so
- 11:11Speaker 1: many of these like kind of minor move to Corey
- 11:14Speaker 1: and Bennett, who they hope to be more than just
- 11:16Speaker 1: a minor move, but right now, so far it's been
- 11:18Speaker 1: a minor one. And here they bring in jyr Alexander
- 11:22Speaker 1: and Adam this one. I thought this time, when the
- 11:26Speaker 1: trade was made, the reaction was going to be a
- 11:30Speaker 1: little bit tempered. I just thought, because we've seen this
- 11:33Speaker 1: before with like a Kevin Byert or a Robert Quinn
- 11:37Speaker 1: or you know many times in the past where the
- 11:39Speaker 1: Eagles trade for a household name and it just doesn't
- 11:43Speaker 1: work out because he's not that guy anymore. So I
- 11:45Speaker 1: thought the reaction I would see or people messaging us
- 11:48Speaker 1: or emailing us or whatever at inside the Birds would
- 11:51Speaker 1: be a little tempered. But it didn't. See it seemed
- 11:54Speaker 1: like people are really enthusiastic and think that this is
- 11:57Speaker 1: gonna really work out. And I listen, I get that
- 12:00Speaker 1: they gave up next to nothing for him. I understand
- 12:02Speaker 1: that there's no downside, but if someone's calling this a
- 12:06Speaker 1: low risk, high reward straight, I would say, explain to
- 12:09Speaker 1: me why high reward. Where is the high reward that
- 12:12Speaker 1: the two teams that gave up on this guy are
- 12:14Speaker 1: kind of better off without him, or they expect to
- 12:17Speaker 1: be better off without him. And he's just going to
- 12:19Speaker 1: come to the Eagles and play like he did four
- 12:21Speaker 1: years ago. That's where a little it's a little far
- 12:24Speaker 1: fetch for me.
- 12:25Speaker 2: He is at one point was the top five quarter
- 12:27Speaker 2: He was phenomenal, just really good, and then he had
- 12:32Speaker 2: the knee problems, pretty serious knee problems, and the craziness of
- 12:35Speaker 2: the coming out as a captain against the Panthers when
- 12:39Speaker 2: he wasn't a team captain right suspended for a game,
- 12:42Speaker 2: it was bizarre. They offered him a pay cut. He's
- 12:46Speaker 2: making too much money, he said, no, he had. He
- 12:49Speaker 2: had opportunities to go when he was cut. It was
- 12:52Speaker 2: Baltimore and other teams, but he wanted to be reunited
- 12:55Speaker 2: with a college teammate, Lamar Jackson. Well here's what happened. Uh,
- 13:00Speaker 2: he had a little bit of a knee issue. Then
- 13:02Speaker 2: he got healthy, and they suffered so many cornerback problems
- 13:07Speaker 2: injuries they were down three or four corners or the
- 13:09Speaker 2: Humphrey miss time cheto Woozy miss time. Humphrey. There are
- 13:15Speaker 2: a bunch of guys who were hurt, and they wouldn't
- 13:16Speaker 2: even play them. He only played in two games. They
- 13:18Speaker 2: just the word was, you know, conditioning didn't think he
- 13:23Speaker 2: could help them, which John Harball swore. I remember him,
- 13:27Speaker 2: you know, I get the quote, so I remember him.
- 13:28Speaker 2: He was pretty out in front. He's going to help us,
- 13:30Speaker 2: He's going to help us. Well he never did.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think you can make an argument somewhat
- 13:36Speaker 1: that since they were relying on him for a little
- 13:38Speaker 1: while and they were having a very bad they have
- 13:41Speaker 1: objectively one of the worst defenses for the first six
- 13:43Speaker 1: weeks of the season, and it started to look started
- 13:45Speaker 1: to look better in their alasking against Miami. But keep
- 13:48Speaker 1: in mind, A, they're much healthier on the back end,
- 13:51Speaker 1: and B they're playing Miami, so there's a little bit
- 13:54Speaker 1: of that into it. But just to just to explain
- 13:56Speaker 1: what you were saying, Adam about not helping them and
- 13:58Speaker 1: even hurting them, he played in two games. Okay, I
- 14:01Speaker 1: think he's got a total of sixty one snaps. Right,
- 14:03Speaker 1: he's been targeted five times. All five passes were complete
- 14:07Speaker 1: for one hundred and sixteen yards. That's an average of
- 14:09Speaker 1: twenty three point two yards target and as my colleague
- 14:13Speaker 1: Jimmy Keemski. He detailed this and wrote this on Philly
- 14:15Speaker 1: Voice dot com. In the other play that didn't count
- 14:18Speaker 1: because it was penalty, he gave him a twenty seven
- 14:20Speaker 1: yard defensive pass interference. So forget about not even helping
- 14:25Speaker 1: the team. He hurt the team drastically when he was
- 14:29Speaker 1: out there, and they decided, for six weeks of being
- 14:32Speaker 1: a bad defense that they were still better off not
- 14:35Speaker 1: having him on the field. Folks, you know what can
- 14:39Speaker 1: we say, Like again, it's a dart throw. It doesn't
- 14:42Speaker 1: hurt them, but it does to me. It sort of
- 14:44Speaker 1: creates this weird, strange lot. I would think at this
- 14:47Speaker 1: time of the year, Adam, when you're the Eagles and
- 14:50Speaker 1: you're trying to win a championship again or at least
- 14:52Speaker 1: bolster your roster, you're trying to make a move that
- 14:55Speaker 1: will help your team. You want to help your team.
- 14:57Speaker 1: At this point, you know what the deficiencies are. Upgrade it, dude.
- 15:01Speaker 1: This is definitely not a move where you can definitely
- 15:04Speaker 1: say you've upgraded your team. It's a lateral move with Hope.
- 15:08Speaker 1: But Howie Roseman has said a lot of times as
- 15:10Speaker 1: a general manager, Hope is not a strategy. Well, I
- 15:13Speaker 1: have to call him under the question, what is it
- 15:15Speaker 1: you made this trade for, because it seems to me
- 15:17Speaker 1: like you're hoping to get something that nobody that the
- 15:20Speaker 1: Packers and the Ravens haven't gotten quite a while.
- 15:22Speaker 2: So we've we've heard for weeks that they've been they've
- 15:25Speaker 2: been looking at corner hard. Edge will get to later,
- 15:28Speaker 2: but corner very hard. But it's just it's just not
- 15:31Speaker 2: the player I thought they get. Now I understand from
- 15:33Speaker 2: talking to various teams, the asked for starting corners is high,
- 15:39Speaker 2: the bad teams very high. It's why they you haven't
- 15:42Speaker 2: really seen any action. You've seen a couple Nicchols traded.
- 15:45Speaker 2: He has got one of them. Roger McCurry doesn't have
- 15:48Speaker 2: Michael Carter's seconds versatility, by the way people want to know.
- 15:52Speaker 2: But the bottom line is they have a cornerback problem
- 15:57Speaker 2: opposite Mitchell. They could have fifty corners. They don't have
- 15:58Speaker 2: a starting corner opposite manch I just don't.
- 16:00Speaker 1: This is your point about depth. Depth is not how
- 16:02Speaker 1: many bodies you have, it's how many that can actually
- 16:05Speaker 1: go and play and help you. Yeah, I don't. I
- 16:07Speaker 1: don't see them as any deeper right now because they
- 16:10Speaker 1: added Jay R Alexander. And interesting is they probably have
- 16:13Speaker 1: to make a move, right don't you think they'll have to?
- 16:15Speaker 1: Because I know they put two guys on I R.
- 16:17Speaker 1: But if Brandon Graham's ready to play and Jacoreyan Bennett's
- 16:20Speaker 1: ready to play, those are your two guys. So you
- 16:22Speaker 1: still have to make a corresponding move theoretically if you're
- 16:25Speaker 1: gonna have.
- 16:26Speaker 2: At that point right right, because they put just put
- 16:28Speaker 2: two guys on our ir. So let's look at the
- 16:30Speaker 2: corner position right now. Okay, mac mcorm's they don't play, Okay,
- 16:32Speaker 2: they just they're not playing them. He's a non factor
- 16:35Speaker 2: unfortunately this season. Uh Dory Jackson's got to get clear
- 16:38Speaker 2: from from concussion protogol because he didn't play the last game.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Right now, we'll just give you the guys who are
- 16:43Speaker 2: healthy who could play cornerback, Jory Jackson, Quinon Mitchell, Kielle Ringo,
- 16:52Speaker 2: Cooper Dejean, and jail Are Jai Ere Alexander. Okay, you
- 16:57Speaker 2: could nix McWilliams. They clearly don't have any use for
- 17:01Speaker 2: him this season that he just doesn't play despite what
- 17:05Speaker 2: looked to be a good preseason. But clearly he in practice,
- 17:08Speaker 2: he's not showing it. So that's one guy you can
- 17:11Speaker 2: move off there. Now the question is when when Jackson's ready,
- 17:17Speaker 2: because they have Michael Carter, at some point before the
- 17:20Speaker 2: end of the regular season, do they start playing Gene
- 17:21Speaker 2: at corner more instead of nickel. You know, he's great
- 17:24Speaker 2: at nickel. That's something that Michael Carter's you said when
- 17:28Speaker 2: at the trade. Carter's got to show that he can
- 17:31Speaker 2: play the nickel the way that they want him to
- 17:33Speaker 2: play it. You know, this is not every nickel, Not
- 17:36Speaker 2: every team plays nickel the same way. Yes, they play inside,
- 17:39Speaker 2: but really to pull them where they move him, we
- 17:44Speaker 2: covers whatever the case may be. It's not always the same.
- 17:47Speaker 2: And plus they teach it. They just teach technique differently here.
- 17:50Speaker 2: So Alexander, yeah, he's obviously going to play when they
- 17:53Speaker 2: think he's ready to play. But the bottom line is
- 17:58Speaker 2: Mitchell is the only guy that could count on opposite.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Mitchell's the only guy that could count the opposite. Right now,
- 18:03Speaker 2: you've got Jackson, You've got Alexander, you got Ringo. Okay,
- 18:10Speaker 2: none of them right now show that they're starting quality corners.
- 18:12Speaker 2: We don't know about Alexander. Nobody knows because he the
- 18:15Speaker 2: Ravens didn't want to play him, so look what they
- 18:18Speaker 2: got next to nothing for him.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Right Hey, Philly fans game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 18:24Speaker 1: long lines, We've all been there, But when it comes
- 18:27Speaker 1: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is
- 18:31Speaker 1: the dispensary for sports fans, just minutes outside of Philly,
- 18:36Speaker 1: with plenty of free parking. You'll be in and out fast,

- 18:47Speaker 1: makes sure you feel taken care of every time you

- 18:54Speaker 1: at the fairest prices, so whether you're stocking up for
- 18:57Speaker 1: the tailgate, the watch party, or clebrat in a big win,

- 19:05Speaker 1: even show love to the community with specials for fans, students,
- 19:09Speaker 1: service members, and healthcare pros. Camedn Apothecary, Top quality cannabis,
- 19:15Speaker 1: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans twenty
- 19:18Speaker 1: one and up. This is why I said in our
- 19:21Speaker 1: in our last podcast, the sort of the Bye Week
- 19:23Speaker 1: self Scout episode, I said, I really think jo Corey
- 19:26Speaker 1: and Bennett is one of the most important Sorry, but
- 19:29Speaker 1: he's not on the roster right now, right, That's why
- 19:31Speaker 1: I assumed you left him out because not on. But
- 19:33Speaker 1: he is one of the most important players if this
- 19:36Speaker 1: defense wants to get where it hopes to be. Yes,
- 19:39Speaker 1: if he's even just good. He don't have to be
- 19:42Speaker 1: a Pro Bowler, he don't have to be an All Pro,
- 19:45Speaker 1: just if he can get out there and be a
- 19:47Speaker 1: legitimately good, just good corner. Darius Slade did not make
- 19:50Speaker 1: a Pro Bowl, he didn't make an All Pro last year.
- 19:52Speaker 1: He was beatable at time, but he was good enough.
- 19:58Speaker 2: He was good enough. It was great.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Right. You're just looking for somebody to stabilize it and
- 20:03Speaker 1: not be picked on.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Hold their own right the term is hold their own
- 20:06Speaker 2: like Ringo. I know the numbers aren't bad, but they're
- 20:09Speaker 2: not thrown at him much. I'm gonna say this again,
- 20:13Speaker 2: there's no one who works in the National Football legue
- 20:15Speaker 2: thinks that Ringo is the starting corner. They don't. I mean,
- 20:18Speaker 2: we've asked, Jeff and I have asked so many people.
- 20:21Speaker 2: They can't believe he's starting. I'm like, well, yeah, but
- 20:24Speaker 2: they don't have anybody else. If now, if Bennet had
- 20:27Speaker 2: not gotten hurt with pectoral injury, I guess he heard
- 20:30Speaker 2: it and then he reinjured and it's a pectoral stream. Yep.
- 20:34Speaker 2: We'll see. But now remember tomorrow at four Pemeaster is
- 20:39Speaker 2: the deadline. It's not completely how the question they'd trade
- 20:42Speaker 2: for a corner, but you would think with Bennett coming
- 20:44Speaker 2: back soon relatively soon, he got work and he no
- 20:49Speaker 2: problem from what we understand, sure that he looked fairly healthy,
- 20:53Speaker 2: but they didn't use him, they didn't activate him, and
- 20:55Speaker 2: you've got green Bay coming up here. Now, green Bay's
- 20:58Speaker 2: a balanced offense between twelve and thirteen, twelve and eleven,
- 21:02Speaker 2: I'm now with a Musgrave injury. Do they go more
- 21:04Speaker 2: with eleven? Okay? You know, depends on Dantavian Wicks and
- 21:08Speaker 2: Matthew Golden and that obviously stretches the Eagles at corner.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yep.
- 21:13Speaker 2: And we'll talk more about that match up later in
- 21:15Speaker 2: the week. But we had our job here is not
- 21:17Speaker 2: to sugarcoat anything. Right, Alexander has not played high combet
- 21:21Speaker 2: of football nearly three years. Yes, so he's been hurt.
- 21:25Speaker 2: He's still young though he's only twenty eight. It doesn't
- 21:28Speaker 2: turn twenty nine ithingun till the February. But the bottom
- 21:31Speaker 2: line is it's been, you know, kind of a nightmare
- 21:33Speaker 2: for him and a team that had him and needed
- 21:36Speaker 2: him to decide they couldn't use them. They just didn't
- 21:37Speaker 2: trust him. So it is what it's right, right.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Nope, I think that's that's a very fair summation of it.
- 21:43Speaker 1: And to your point, I think you were alluding to this.
- 21:47Speaker 1: You're right that they could still trade for a corner,
- 21:49Speaker 1: but it's not like Howie Roseman is just going to
- 21:51Speaker 1: start picking up the phone today or tomorrow before the
- 21:54Speaker 1: deadline looking for corners. He's been making calls for quite
- 21:57Speaker 1: a while. The fact that he already traded for Carter
- 22:01Speaker 1: in the way he did and jy R. Alexander is
- 22:04Speaker 1: a pretty good Again, nothing's absolutely indication that the corner
- 22:08Speaker 1: market's just not looking really good for how he wants
- 22:11Speaker 1: to give up, and so he's trying to make moves
- 22:13Speaker 1: to try to bolster the team, realizing that it's probably
- 22:17Speaker 1: unlikely that he's going to be able.
- 22:18Speaker 2: To get himself I'm not rolling it out because oh
- 22:20Speaker 2: yeah it's been I know they have a lot of them.
- 22:23Speaker 2: When Bennet comes back, Okay, go okay, someone's got to go. Okay. Fine,
- 22:26Speaker 2: Like we mentioned last week, maybe they work got a
- 22:29Speaker 2: deal with Jackson to go to the practice squad. But
- 22:33Speaker 2: I mean, I'm just telling you, folks, this is a
- 22:35Speaker 2: wide open thing. Both conferences. By the way, with the
- 22:38Speaker 2: Chiefs losing, everyone's saying, oh, they're locked to win the
- 22:41Speaker 2: Super Bowl. No they're not. The Colts loss. The entire
- 22:47Speaker 2: NFL is wide open. Anyone could win it this year.
- 22:49Speaker 2: There is no favorite, right.
- 22:51Speaker 1: So since the start of the training camp, how he
- 22:53Speaker 1: has traded for three defensive backs alrighty right, Bennett Carter
- 22:59Speaker 1: and Alexander Alexander. He's traded for three defensive backs. He's
- 23:03Speaker 1: traded for an offensive tackle in Fred Johnson. He traded
- 23:07Speaker 1: away into the past. Yeah, yeah, Fred Johnson. Was was
- 23:11Speaker 1: a very good move. He traded for a quarterback in
- 23:14Speaker 1: Sam Howell. Correct, that was a trade, was it not?
- 23:18Speaker 2: Yes? It was, yeah, yeah.
- 23:19Speaker 1: He traded for a running back, Tank Bigsby.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Yep.
- 23:23Speaker 3: I mean it just right now, looks like we look
- 23:26Speaker 3: back at first, it finally it looks good now, right,
- 23:30Speaker 3: anybody else I've missed a wide receiver John Matchie didn't.
- 23:34Speaker 3: I mean, this has been the most bizarre year of
- 23:36Speaker 3: these and an offensive lineman in Kenyan Green, I forgot
- 23:39Speaker 3: to Yeah, I miss.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You mentioned it was I mentioned earlier, but not in
- 23:43Speaker 1: this latest summation.
- 23:44Speaker 2: So okay, it's been a low octane they He's made
- 23:47Speaker 2: a lot of moods, but it's low octane because of
- 23:48Speaker 2: the cash budget and by the way, Alexander's cash. The
- 23:52Speaker 2: Eagles were responsible for about roughly around a million of
- 23:58Speaker 2: the two million h'so like the the the total cash
- 24:01Speaker 2: is four million. Baltimore's response for two million of it.
- 24:04Speaker 2: The remaining two million cut in around half for the
- 24:09Speaker 2: it's pro rated for the rest of the season. So look,
- 24:11Speaker 2: it's it's a dark throw, you see, if he's got
- 24:15Speaker 2: anything left. But you mentioned earlier, I just they're gonna
- 24:20Speaker 2: have to rely on bet at least to be a fact.
- 24:22Speaker 2: He's got to be a factor unless they make a
- 24:24Speaker 2: trade by the deadline. There's really nowhere else to go.
- 24:28Speaker 1: There is not eight trades since its amazing eight that
- 24:32Speaker 1: is even for Howie. That's that's a ton now to
- 24:36Speaker 1: your question, is there one more left and is it?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Is it the home run trade? Is it a trade
- 24:43Speaker 1: for an edge rusher, because there's obviously been a bunch
- 24:46Speaker 1: of reports over the weekend, which you're obvious, first of all,
- 24:49Speaker 1: how he's gonna call no matter what, he's always gonna
- 24:51Speaker 1: call around.
- 24:52Speaker 2: He's been trying to here. Here's from our sources. One
- 24:56Speaker 2: source of said they want an edge badly, badly. He's
- 25:01Speaker 2: going after it again with Oje. Lauri and I are
- 25:04Speaker 2: right if you look at their edge issue right now
- 25:06Speaker 2: in terms of depth and just talent. Okay, Josh Husha's
- 25:09Speaker 2: been a nice story, right Yeah, as a backup edge rusher,
- 25:12Speaker 2: he shows he's kind of regained for him, right, you
- 25:15Speaker 2: can play Patrick, John's been a great story. Okay, fine,
- 25:18Speaker 2: but they're backups, okay, right. Jaox's hunt has come on lately,
- 25:23Speaker 2: but he's nowhere close to where you know, he's.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Not Josh Sweat level yet right exactly.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Where you would want him to be. But he's he's improven.
- 25:31Speaker 2: They don't have approven. They just don't have that guy
- 25:33Speaker 2: right now now, John Campbell, they're not playing at edge
- 25:38Speaker 2: as a pass rusher. They play at edge as an
- 25:40Speaker 2: ad in defender against run. He's not rushing the passer
- 25:43Speaker 2: at all, as Big said, and his little video there
- 25:48Speaker 2: at the time the signing. No expectations, he doesn't know
- 25:51Speaker 2: he's thirty seven years old. He does anyone know? He
- 25:54Speaker 2: was great before he got hurt. It's phenomenal. We love
- 25:56Speaker 2: having him, everybody loves having him back. But they're just questions.
- 26:00Speaker 2: It's just it's just it's a tough deal. So yeah, man,
- 26:06Speaker 2: we know this. I mean, this is not a secret.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Anyone who's done any checking knows that the Eagles are
- 26:12Speaker 2: on Bradley Chubber. Jalen Phillips. A couple of teams told
- 26:15Speaker 2: me that they do not want to move Chop Robinson
- 26:18Speaker 2: for people wondering about it, their first round of last year,
- 26:20Speaker 2: who really came on at times last season, but unfortunate
- 26:24Speaker 2: hit a knee injury to start the season, got limited
- 26:26Speaker 2: a little bit by it. But they just drafted in
- 26:29Speaker 2: the first round last year. Why would you treat this
- 26:31Speaker 2: guy right? You know?
- 26:32Speaker 1: You know I wondered that too, also about I know
- 26:34Speaker 1: there's been some report on Jermaine Johnson and the Jets,
- 26:38Speaker 1: and I know we had the ACL injury, but if
- 26:39Speaker 1: you're the Jets and you know you.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Still want an acl it was Torn Achilles.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Achilles, right. I meant that you still want
- 26:46Speaker 1: to keep good young players, you know, I mean I
- 26:48Speaker 1: I just don't know why they would want to move
- 26:52Speaker 1: him unless they didn't want to give him a contract,
- 26:54Speaker 1: and that's a different story. But you know, you're trying
- 26:56Speaker 1: to win, trying to win game. He's a good young
- 26:58Speaker 1: player who's had the success here here.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Here's why I don't necessarily agree with this, but this
- 27:04Speaker 2: is the way it goes. Okay, Darren Muji, the GM
- 27:09Speaker 2: did not draft him. This just happens a lot. He's
- 27:11Speaker 2: not there. Yeah he's a Jet, but he's not their
- 27:13Speaker 2: guy Will McDonald, who's needs to put bulk up a
- 27:17Speaker 2: little bit. But as a good player. They have Michael
- 27:19Speaker 2: Clowns as a power rusher, places a power end. Yeah,
- 27:24Speaker 2: it's it's those three could play, no doubt. You trade Johnson,
- 27:28Speaker 2: then it gets then they're really late. I agree with you,
- 27:31Speaker 2: but it's just they're opening moving Johnson is what i'd
- 27:34Speaker 2: heard over the weekend. We'll see if it happens with
- 27:37Speaker 2: the Eagles or anywhere else. I know the athletic put
- 27:38Speaker 2: a report out that how he called for him.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I guess I would say if I were the Jets,
- 27:42Speaker 1: I would be open to moving him too. For really,
- 27:45Speaker 1: I'm not giving him away. This is not like a
- 27:47Speaker 1: he's not my guy. I'll take a fourth round pick
- 27:49Speaker 1: for him. I know I tag he is. I don't
- 27:53Speaker 1: want to move him.
- 27:54Speaker 2: I agree with you. He got off the rough start
- 27:55Speaker 2: his first year. Then he came on ye heard from
- 27:58Speaker 2: a Jet source. He matured big time, became actually one
- 28:01Speaker 2: of their leaders after the knock and scouting that. He
- 28:04Speaker 2: wasn't a leader when he came out of Florida State.
- 28:05Speaker 2: But he's turned himself around. It's good player, it's it's
- 28:08Speaker 2: in fact, the hour was putting so up before Tours
- 28:11Speaker 2: Achilles two years ago. Right, it's unfortunate because and when
- 28:17Speaker 2: you get something right. Actually I'm sorry, no, it was
- 28:20Speaker 2: actually last year to start that he he got hurt
- 28:22Speaker 2: in week two. Ye, and yeah, he built. He had
- 28:26Speaker 2: a really good twenty three. It's too bad. So that's
- 28:29Speaker 2: a guy. Someone from the Dolphins. I'd be very surprised
- 28:32Speaker 2: if they don't get somebody. But we never say never.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Takes two to tango, and we'll see if Howie's want
- 28:41Speaker 2: to overpay and that that's kind of what happens. But
- 28:45Speaker 2: I'll be interested to see what happens with Miami because
- 28:47Speaker 2: they've got Champ Kelly, who was the interim GM, who
- 28:50Speaker 2: ironically was the interim GM two years ago with the
- 28:53Speaker 2: Raiders when he took over for Dave Ziggler when he
- 28:55Speaker 2: Ziggler and Josh McDaniels were fired or three whatever it
- 28:58Speaker 2: was two or three years ago. And uh, we'll see.
- 29:02Speaker 2: The word I got over the weekend was he's allowed
- 29:03Speaker 2: to trade, but certain things he's gonna have to run
- 29:05Speaker 2: by ownership Steve Ross. Uh, like, like for if someone's
- 29:10Speaker 2: gonna call about Jaylen Waddell, I mean, how could you
- 29:12Speaker 2: possibly trade this guy?
- 29:14Speaker 1: I would agree with you again if you want to
- 29:17Speaker 1: win games unless someone blows you out of the water
- 29:20Speaker 1: and gives you more than you should ask for a
- 29:22Speaker 1: wide receiver. Chubb's interesting though at him because he played
- 29:25Speaker 1: for VIC, not only in Miami but also in Denver.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Did Victory draft Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, So that's
- 29:32Speaker 1: that's a guy who has experience with VIC.
- 29:36Speaker 2: So that wasn't when he was draft, I don't think,
- 29:38Speaker 2: but he was definitely there.
- 29:39Speaker 1: He was there when he was there, right, and then
- 29:41Speaker 1: also in Miami. So there's a good connection there. Guy
- 29:44Speaker 1: who's flourished in his scheme. It would make the Eagles.
- 29:46Speaker 1: That's a trade that clearly makes the Eagles better.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, See with phillips Man, he so explosive. But
- 29:53Speaker 2: he's had I believe without looking, I think a on Achilles.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Yeah, plus didn't he isn't he the one who retired
- 30:01Speaker 1: in college and then came back. Yeah, you goad be careful.
- 30:05Speaker 2: You know. Yeah, Now he's healthy, tapam tool looks good.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Chubb's looks fine, he looks really good. Right, they come,
- 30:14Speaker 2: they know the scheme, as you said, and Chubb it's amazing.
- 30:16Speaker 2: He's played for VIC twice and yeah, I mean they know.
- 30:20Speaker 1: See.
- 30:20Speaker 2: The thing is like for people bring up Trey Hendrickson
- 30:24Speaker 2: the cash is act. It's really the cat. It's very
- 30:27Speaker 2: easy contract to take. He's on a one year deal.
- 30:29Speaker 2: The Bengals responsible for twenty of the twenty nine million.
- 30:32Speaker 2: In fact, they're actually responded for more than that because, uh,
- 30:37Speaker 2: you pro rated for the second half of the season.
- 30:39Speaker 2: So if a team gets him, now they lost, what's
- 30:43Speaker 2: the point. What's right, They're not gonna pay. I mean,
- 30:45Speaker 2: he's not gonna come back, so why don't you trade him?
- 30:47Speaker 2: The team that we received from only owned four and
- 30:49Speaker 2: a half million. That's a very tradable contract. But the
- 30:51Speaker 2: only problem with Hendrickson is he's a hand in the dirt,
- 30:54Speaker 2: a thresher. Yep. He played in a forty three hundred
- 30:57Speaker 2: Dennis Allen with the Saints before he signed with the Bengals.
- 31:00Speaker 2: BET's running forty three, Saints running forty three. So what
- 31:03Speaker 2: happened with Bryce off? Yep?
- 31:05Speaker 1: I think there would be I agree with I was
- 31:07Speaker 1: gonna bring this up. I think that there would be
- 31:09Speaker 1: some red flags to that kind of a deal.
- 31:10Speaker 2: You know, great player, but if the Eagles run the
- 31:16Speaker 2: same scheme, I'm all in, man, I'm like, this takes
- 31:19Speaker 2: thirty seconds. I'm getting this guy that put us over
- 31:21Speaker 2: the top of edge. But gotta be careful, man, you
- 31:24Speaker 2: gotta be careful. How he's the best GM the National
- 31:27Speaker 2: foot League. One's arguing that, but his history at this
- 31:31Speaker 2: trade deadline it's not good. He's been good in March,
- 31:33Speaker 2: but this one in season very mixed at best.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Hey, I still like a good night out, but I'm

- 33:15Speaker 1: we are going to have another huge week of coverage
- 33:18Speaker 1: and content on the Inside the Birds platform. We've got

- 33:29Speaker 1: be up to Tuesday in their preview. We'll be up
- 33:32Speaker 1: on Friday. We've got our special Patreon. We did a
- 33:35Speaker 1: chalk talk with a former Eagles pro scout named Dan Hatman.
- 33:39Speaker 1: He runs the Scouting Academy, which a lot of people
- 33:42Speaker 1: know about. Now we've shortened that and we will have
- 33:45Speaker 1: that up on mainstream later today, I believe. So it's
- 33:49Speaker 1: just gonna daily to check o daily. We have our
- 33:51Speaker 1: WBCB show on Tuesday. We have just a ton of
- 33:55Speaker 1: content coming back your way, and before you know it,
- 33:58Speaker 1: it'll be Monday night and the Eagles will be at
- 34:01Speaker 1: Lambeau for their Week ten game. And by the way, Adam,
- 34:04Speaker 1: when you say ten, we're past the halfway point of
- 34:07Speaker 1: the twenty twenty five season.
- 34:10Speaker 2: This is the fastest season I've ever seen.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Agreed, it's just flown by.
- 34:15Speaker 2: I hope it's really cold. I hope it's really cold
- 34:18Speaker 2: on the frozen tender. I hope it's in the twenties.
- 34:20Speaker 1: That would be awesome. Reporters agree with you, but it is.
- 34:24Speaker 4: I love it, man, I love.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Going as a former season ticket all that we're going
- 34:28Speaker 2: back a long time ago. You're talking for eight years.
- 34:31Speaker 2: But uh, I just loved those games at the vat
- 34:34Speaker 2: which are disgustingly called on the concrete.
- 34:37Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 34:37Speaker 2: That's football. To me, man, that is football.
- 34:40Speaker 1: And when it's at Lambeau it's even more special. It's
- 34:43Speaker 1: right to be there four or five times. And I've
- 34:46Speaker 1: cherished the moment everything.
- 34:47Speaker 2: You've been here that many times.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Really, Yeah, there was a couple like I got them
- 34:51Speaker 1: to beat on five, right and six. I think they
- 34:54Speaker 1: played there in six. I know they played a season
- 34:56Speaker 1: opener in I think seven or eight when Greg Lewis
- 34:59Speaker 1: had like two fumbled ponds.
- 35:01Speaker 2: That's it, because you nailed it, Andy. They didn't have
- 35:05Speaker 2: a pump returner, so he had to do it, right.
- 35:08Speaker 2: I just remember, I don't know. I think I was
- 35:10Speaker 2: right for Scott dot Com and I wrote this piece
- 35:11Speaker 2: like this makes no sense, Like before the game, it
- 35:14Speaker 2: was like, how do you not have a pump returner? Right?
- 35:17Speaker 2: I didn't know a lot about special teams at that point.
- 35:20Speaker 2: You know, this is so long ago, but I'm like,
- 35:21Speaker 2: this doesn't make any sense, and wouldn't you know? And
- 35:23Speaker 2: it happened, yeah, as you said it.
- 35:25Speaker 1: And then they played a preseason game there once, so
- 35:28Speaker 1: that was really there in August. Yeah, and then I
- 35:31Speaker 1: was there for Nick Foles's amazing season where he beat
- 35:36Speaker 1: The game was started by who's that Notre Dame quarterback
- 35:40Speaker 1: who could run a little bit? Seneca Wallace?
- 35:42Speaker 2: Is that right? Was?
- 35:42Speaker 1: I don't know? It wasn't Notre Dame. It might have
- 35:44Speaker 1: been Iowa stated, yes, yeah, but they pulled him after
- 35:47Speaker 1: like two drives and then put in Tolsion from uh Scott. Yeah, yes,
- 35:53Speaker 1: but I was there for that game another one, so yeah,
- 35:57Speaker 1: it's a really wonderful place I really enjoyed every time.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Is thatfield?
- 36:00Speaker 2: All right? So it's real quick twenty thirteen, but you're
- 36:04Speaker 2: you're amazing you and Joe a camera the greatest memory.
- 36:08Speaker 2: So okay, that game you nailed it without looking you
- 36:11Speaker 2: you didn't look this up right?
- 36:13Speaker 1: No? No, no, how can you forget?
- 36:14Speaker 4: How can you forget?
- 36:15Speaker 1: A game started by Seneca Wallas and finished by Scott's
- 36:17Speaker 1: always weird?
- 36:18Speaker 2: Though? What Wallace is five for five for twenty five
- 36:21Speaker 2: yards was just like a like a was this planned?
- 36:24Speaker 2: Did you get hurt?
- 36:26Speaker 1: I just remember the week leading up there were like
- 36:28Speaker 1: reports that you know, they weren't happy with they didn't
- 36:31Speaker 1: they Scott Tolzian had been like either signed or promoted,
- 36:34Speaker 1: and you know he was taking a lot of reps
- 36:36Speaker 1: and there was a good chance he was going to
- 36:37Speaker 1: get in the game. If things started slowly, Wallace may
- 36:40Speaker 1: have left with like a stub toe something like that.
- 36:44Speaker 2: I don't know. But here's a crazy one for you.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Nick Foles had eight carries in that game. What the hell?
- 36:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a really weird game.
- 36:52Speaker 2: I definitely remember that only eighteen passing attempts for three touchdowns.
- 36:56Speaker 2: I'm like what what a crazy season. This was Chip's
- 36:59Speaker 2: first year. They couldn't figure it out. James Casey, by
- 37:02Speaker 2: the way, caught it. The name we probably have never
- 37:04Speaker 2: mentioned in the eight year James Casey cut it's a
- 37:07Speaker 2: tight ends coach. I think for the Bengals. He had
- 37:08Speaker 2: a catch in that game. Yep, yeah, boy, Eddie Lacy,
- 37:12Speaker 2: that was.
- 37:13Speaker 1: There one more time, maybe in twenty fourteen or fifteen.
- 37:16Speaker 1: And Aaron Rodgers. Just if I'm not mistaken, Rogers just
- 37:20Speaker 1: ripped them apart, like rip them over and over. If
- 37:23Speaker 1: if I'm not maybe I'm imagining it, but I thought
- 37:25Speaker 1: they were there one more time. But either way, looking
- 37:28Speaker 1: forward to it.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Can't wait. That'll be a great one. But we won't
- 37:30Speaker 2: drop a show at money morning. We usually do that
- 37:32Speaker 2: when he was a Monday night game. We update injuries,
- 37:35Speaker 2: lineup changes, and anything else we learned.
- 37:37Speaker 1: There you go, So look forward to another great week
- 37:39Speaker 1: of coverage and content on the Inside the Birds platform.
- 37:42Speaker 1: That'll do it for this edition of Inside the Birds Podcast,
- 37:45Speaker 1: the Leading Podcast and Eagles Intel, and as always, we
- 37:48Speaker 1: thank you for flying with us Inside the Birds
