- 0:11Hello, everybody. Beautiful people around the
- 0:14world are. Are you shocked to hear my
- 0:17voice? It's Simone.
- 0:19And this is Lala. And welcome back to I was
- 0:22thinking, yay, we've been gone for a while.
- 0:27Hang on. Because I shouldn't say we're
- 0:29like back back. This isn't really our like
- 0:32return. We're kind of we're popping in
- 0:35from the hiatus. I should say that yes, we still
- 0:39want to break. Yeah.
- 0:41Yes, but what are we celebrating?
- 0:44La La. We're celebrating the 5th
- 0:46anniversary of I was thinking. I cannot believe I have been
- 0:54doing this for five years. And you could tell I'm doing
- 0:57this still for fun because I'm not saying it hasn't gone
- 1:00anywhere, but I mean, it's still like this podcast is very
- 1:04underground. So it's like if you know, you
- 1:06know, basically haven't really blown up.
- 1:08But I also haven't really gotten cancelled.
- 1:10So I guess it's also a good thing.
- 1:11That is a good thing. Yeah.
- 1:14I don't need any of that. So no good energy.
- 1:17Good energy? Exactly.
- 1:20Breaking the 4th wall. We already got our frustrations
- 1:23of the world out before we started recording because this
- 1:25is supposed to be a fun, happy time.
- 1:27We also had some technical difficulties.
- 1:29So we we go pray. Yeah, we can't.
- 1:32Get through, get none. Exactly.
- 1:34So thank God we didn't like actually start recording before
- 1:38then because disaster. Yeah, very.
- 1:44But it's all good. We're both here.
- 1:46We're both here, we're both in good spirits.
- 1:48It's a good thing to celebrate. It's something that should be
- 1:51celebrated. Obviously, yes, it's still a fun
- 1:55podcast, but that's, I think the best thing too, is that it's a
- 1:59fun podcast to do. So it'd be different if we're
- 2:03just constantly doing it and just pushing it out just
- 2:06because, you know, we need to or whatever the case may be.
- 2:11So it's still fun. Yeah, I mean, it would be
- 2:14different if we like, you know, actually was getting paid
- 2:16because that would give me some motivation and maybe I I could
- 2:19quit my job. I don't know about you, but
- 2:22yeah, you know, it's one of us probably would, I would and it
- 2:25would be working. Yeah, exactly.
- 2:29But it's it's all good. So yes, we are here.
- 2:34So tell me how you feel about the podcast Lala, because I
- 2:37mean, you obviously you haven't been here from the beginning,
- 2:40but I shared it with you a while ago and then you ended up, you
- 2:43know, joining the team. So I just wanted to, you know,
- 2:46get your insights and your perspective on everything.
- 2:50It's been a lot of fun, obviously, like, so I think it's
- 2:54like with anything, right? So whenever you get interested
- 2:57in something, whether it's doing podcasts, whether it's doing,
- 3:00you know, singing, dancing, arts, anything of that sort,
- 3:04you're like, Oh my God, that's so cool.
- 3:05I want to do it. You know, you never see the
- 3:08behind the scenes of what it takes to do anything, you know,
- 3:12until you're actually knee deep into it.
- 3:16Yeah. So that's been a really good,
- 3:19like, challenge. And I think that's what's been
- 3:22more fun for me, especially because I feel like this podcast
- 3:25has also helped me express myself creatively.
- 3:31I don't get that in my day-to-day like work and school.
- 3:34So this was like, it's been fun. It's been fun.
- 3:39It's been challenging. And I that's the biggest thing
- 3:42for me. So yeah, I've been so happy.
- 3:46I'm very happy that you allowed me to become a Co host and be a
- 3:51part of this great thing that you're doing.
- 3:53Umm, so thank you so much Simone of.
- 3:56Course, I mean, more than anything, I'm just glad you
- 3:59decided, you know, you wanted to be a Co host, step outside,
- 4:02because at first you were just listening and then you also came
- 4:06along and was helping me like do some, I don't remember if you're
- 4:09helping me make the videos or like just do some things for
- 4:12social media. Terrible at social media.
- 4:14Yeah. And then when things were
- 4:16happening where we weren't sure if we were going to continue,
- 4:18you know, you jumped in. So I'm very appreciative for you
- 4:21for that because I probably would have ended this a very
- 4:24long time ago. You know, it's, it's weird doing
- 4:27this because I never thought I would have the confidence to do
- 4:29something like this. I all started when I was in
- 4:33college and obviously the end of my college time during the
- 4:37pandemic. And I think a lot of people, you
- 4:39know, hop on doing the podcast or like it was either podcast or
- 4:42YouTube because it's really the only thing people can do at the
- 4:44moment. So I was just one of those
- 4:46people, not only just like to jump on the bandwagon because
- 4:50there was a point like for a while I was thinking like,
- 4:52should I do YouTube? But I'm like, I don't really do
- 4:55anything to like, how am I trying to say this to like
- 4:58record visually, videos, visual. I'm not like I'm yeah, I'm not
- 5:03like a makeup person, not really go out much.
- 5:06So I'm like, what what a YouTube really look like.
- 5:09And then since podcasts are blowing up, I was like, oh.
- 5:11Maybe I can do a? Podcast and then I was thankful
- 5:14at the time to have other people that wanted to do it with me and
- 5:17help me behind the scenes too. So I'm grateful for everybody
- 5:21that's been part of this experience.
- 5:23We'll get into this a little later, but it's just really
- 5:25funny. You can kind of like hear me
- 5:28personally, my growth, because I started this when I was 23 and
- 5:33I'm 28 now. And like you can even hear the
- 5:36way I speak. Like I've definitely matured in
- 5:39my speech, the way I talk about certain topics.
- 5:42I've gotten definitely better at expressing myself.
- 5:44So I'm pretty proud of myself for that.
- 5:46And there's 2 examples we'll point out in a minute.
- 5:49But yeah, it's just, it's really weird.
- 5:50When I was listening back to some very old episodes, even my
- 5:53voice has changed. I'm like, oh, so my voice has
- 5:56gotten a little deeper because damn.
- 5:58Like, I do sound like a child. I feel like I sound like a
- 6:01child, no? So like, what has been like your
- 6:08favorite like thing to do for the podcast?
- 6:12Like what have you taken out of doing the podcast for the last
- 6:16five years? As far as what do you mean by
- 6:19what's my favorite? Like, Like what's my favorite
- 6:22thing creating it? Yeah.
- 6:24Like, what has been your favorite thing so far?
- 6:27Has it been like? So I guess like I could give
- 6:30like a few examples like has it been like being able to talk to
- 6:33friends and breaking it down, being able to talk to people
- 6:37like in the same interest? Has it been like the
- 6:41creativeness in the background of it?
- 6:44Has it grown anything for you personally?
- 6:48I think, and I think I already said this, I think it grew my
- 6:52confidence a lot. It helped me be able to
- 6:57structure my thoughts of, you know, what I want to say to
- 7:00people and how to come across that in person, especially too,
- 7:04even though like we're not on video and you don't see us.
- 7:07But I do think just talking more and expressing how I personally
- 7:13move in the world and like things I consume and like media
- 7:16and real life and sharing my opinions from my perspective in
- 7:21a respectful way because we don't rage bait over here.
- 7:25We're just being honest. I think that has helped it a
- 7:28lot. And I feel like that's also
- 7:29helped me. I mean, I don't want to say
- 7:31humble, but it's just helped me put a lot of different things in
- 7:35perspective and gives people who have able to turn this into a
- 7:39career a lot of respect. So that's one thing.
- 7:42And then I just enjoy doing it with my friends, especially as
- 7:47I've gotten older, all my friends are expressed out now.
- 7:51So especially at the very beginning, it, it was just a way
- 7:54not only just to really do this, but like keep in communication
- 7:58with my friends. So that's one thing I enjoyed.
- 8:00And then like the small guests that we had to like I know
- 8:03earlier episodes we had my brother and then his friend or
- 8:07like again, our guests were mostly just friends of mine.
- 8:10So I appreciate them for helping me.
- 8:12And two, I just think it helped me stay creative and form a
- 8:17hobby outside of work. Again, listening to this, I
- 8:19didn't realize how much I complained about every job I
- 8:21had, but that just shows like I'm still in a space where I
- 8:25haven't really found. And I don't want to say purpose
- 8:28because I don't like tying your purpose in life to a job job.
- 8:32But like at the same time, it's like I'm still trying to figure
- 8:34things out. And I think this podcast had
- 8:36helped me have an outlet, still have a hobby, still find things
- 8:40that I enjoy doing, like creating things, creating
- 8:44artwork, drawing. It just came into a different
- 8:46way. And now I found a love for like
- 8:48editing. Haven't really touched video
- 8:50editing that much. Well, I do now with our little
- 8:53music Mondays. It's very simple, but I try and
- 8:56then learning new ways to like try to edit audio.
- 8:59I found out I've really enjoyed doing so just outside of like a
- 9:02nine to five, still finding a way to like keep myself busy and
- 9:06maintain peace and not always just like going to watch TV
- 9:09afterwards. So.
- 9:10Yeah, that's good. Yeah.
- 9:13But yeah, it's it's been a journey and hopefully, you know,
- 9:17we do come back and have many more journeys.
- 9:20I would like to structure the podcast a little bit
- 9:23differently, but it also just depends how that would be with
- 9:27time and work. I expressed it in the little
- 9:30mini episode of like explaining why we're going on a hiatus.
- 9:34Work has just been a lot. You know, the world has just
- 9:36been a lot right now. So hopefully we can try to
- 9:39navigate those and come back with just as many fun episodes
- 9:43or, you know, things like that, depending on how we want to
- 9:47change this podcast, what we want to talk about, if it's
- 9:49still about kpop, if it's still movie and TV reviews, if we find
- 9:52something new, we want to talk about things like that.
- 9:54And hopefully we can stop talking so much because we, I
- 9:59appreciate the ones who do listen to us for two hours.
- 10:01But I'm, I'm sure y'all need like a, I'm sure to give more
- 10:05audience to, we need at least like an hour to an hour 30.
- 10:08A lot of podcasts I listen to with the big audiences,
- 10:11obviously they're willing to listen to them for two to three
- 10:13hours. But for us, for right now, we
- 10:15don't try our best to cut it down.
- 10:17Hopefully, fingers crossed. I think we always end up saying
- 10:20that, but. I know, but also that just shows
- 10:23we have great chemistry because we can't stop talking.
- 10:27So I would rather listen to someone who who has great
- 10:30chemistry and always talking to people who have nothing to say
- 10:33to each other. Plus also, I think both of us
- 10:36have like square, like squirrel mentality and like we'll start
- 10:42talking about a specific topic and then it just goes off from
- 10:45there. So it's just like, not
- 10:46necessarily we're all over the place because it all reconnects,
- 10:49right? But yeah, and I mean, that's, I
- 10:52think that's the average person. So you start thinking one thing
- 10:55and you start going off to another.
- 10:56So we have a lot of opinions, a lot of things that we like to
- 11:00talk about. So I don't think there's
- 11:02anything bad with it. We just need to hold it in a
- 11:04little bit. Yeah, just try to minimize it.
- 11:08So with that, all to say, we are going to be talking about
- 11:12specific things. We figured it is the fifth
- 11:15anniversary of the podcast. We would share with you guys our
- 11:19top five favorite episodes throughout the whole podcast,
- 11:23which was surprisingly challenging to do.
- 11:26Only pick five. Yeah, I didn't realize how many
- 11:28episodes I've had. I could have had more if we
- 11:31didn't take so many frequent breaks.
- 11:32So that's another thing too. There is a point, especially
- 11:35when life started getting hard, where we would go like months
- 11:38without an episode. So.
- 11:40But it's OK, I think overall, you know, there's still good
- 11:44amount of good content on this podcast.
- 11:48So there is something for everyone on here so far.
- 11:52So it's been it's been great, it's been fun and especially.
- 11:56For a nerd community, hey, hey, hey, I'm a proud nerd, OK?
- 12:02I know so. I don't see.
- 12:04Yeah, I don't see that as a derogatory anymore.
- 12:06I'm a proud nerd. We, you know, talked about K
- 12:09Pop, obviously BTS. Honestly, I don't even know.
- 12:14Talk shows, talk movie shows, a lot of Korean dramas.
- 12:18Not as much anime as I thought we would at the beginning.
- 12:20But if we come back, maybe we can change that.
- 12:23Yeah. So before we go over our
- 12:26favorite episodes, I also thought, I feel like I've done
- 12:29this once, but I don't remember when it was.
- 12:32But we can share the stats of like places that I have listened
- 12:36to the podcast the most as well as the overall podcast top five
- 12:41episodes. So I guess the ones that were
- 12:43listened to the most going to say this now as I always prefix,
- 12:47I am so sorry if I butcher Eddie names and places.
- 12:51Try my best. English language sucks, you
- 12:53know, and I don't know the pronunciation of a lot of these
- 12:57places, so trying, but let's get started.
- 13:01So we got the top five countries.
- 13:03So #5 is India, and I'm assuming this is the top city.
- 13:08I don't know how India is structured as far as like the
- 13:10division of the country because like they don't, I don't think
- 13:14they have like states like we do.
- 13:16Anyway #5 you reference it as states just to make it easier,
- 13:20because I say the same thing when it comes to Mexico.
- 13:23OK, the best way for me to say it, it's like, OK, it's the
- 13:26state of Guanajuato and then the city name is.
- 13:30Because that's like the best way for us.
- 13:33The fact that, you know, we're here in America is the way to
- 13:37explain it, but. Because I don't Well then I
- 13:39don't know if this is like a region or if this is a city.
- 13:42So like, the top location is Hari, Haryana, and I think that
- 13:47place has been in the top for a while because I know India used
- 13:52to be, I think the second top country for the podcast.
- 13:56Yeah. And so now it's #5 #4 is the
- 13:59United Kingdom with the top place, England #3 is Germany
- 14:05with the top place haste. And Germany is another one
- 14:08that's been the top for a while #2 is Taiwan with Hey Chung
- 14:13City. Hey, Chung.
- 14:15Yeah. Thank you for listening to us.
- 14:18And of course, number one is United States.
- 14:22And since United States is so big, I have its own breakdown of
- 14:27that for the top States and cities.
- 14:30So for #5 we have Texas and top cities, Dallas.
- 14:35Is that where the Cowboys are? Go Cowboys.
- 14:37Yes, No. OK.
- 14:39Yes, yes, sports. #4 is Washington state with the top
- 14:44city of Seattle #3 is California with the top city Sacramento. 2
- 14:50is Virginia with the top city Washington, and #1 is homegrown
- 14:56Florida. Yeah, with the top city Orlando.
- 15:00And they have been our number one since the beginning of this
- 15:03podcast. So whoever has been listening to
- 15:05us from Orlando, thank you so much.
- 15:09Yes, that has actually never changed.
- 15:11So our top has always been someone or someone's in Orlando
- 15:15and Florida. And I've said before, I don't
- 15:17live in Orlando. So it's it's not me, guys.
- 15:20I'm not inflating the numbers, I promise.
- 15:23So thank you so much for all of our listeners in here in the US
- 15:28and all the other countries. So much love, much appreciation.
- 15:32Yes and I still don't know how y'all find this podcast because
- 15:35I didn't write it down but I know it also like breaks down
- 15:37because there's like so many different stats.
- 15:39Like I didn't do it by age and like gender because that's all
- 15:43specifically Spotify. So the ones I wrote down were
- 15:46other platforms that weren't Spotify.
- 15:48Seems like a lot of people find us through Apple podcast,
- 15:52Spotify and whatever web browser is.
- 15:55I don't know what web browser is.
- 15:58It's just a web browser, I'm wondering if they're just like
- 16:02Googling. But Google used to have its own
- 16:04podcast, and I think they got rid of that.
- 16:06I think they got rid of Google Podcast.
- 16:08Cuz like, I know I've done that where I've like been wanting to
- 16:11like search for other podcasts and some.
- 16:13So it's been a hit or miss for me at least.
- 16:16OK. So personally, like whenever I'm
- 16:18trying to look for a new podcast to listen to, I'll try to do it
- 16:23like whether it's on the Apple podcast or Spotify.
- 16:28And I sometimes don't like what the apps push to me of like, Oh,
- 16:33you might be interested in like, no, I want something new,
- 16:36something different. And sometimes the way that they
- 16:39categorize the podcast, I don't like it either.
- 16:42So like what I've done before is like go on Google and like
- 16:46search podcast just randomly and just been like looking for
- 16:50something specific. So maybe that's.
- 16:53Do you listen to them through Google?
- 16:55Because that's that show. It shows the platforms they
- 16:58listen to us. So I don't know what web browser
- 17:01they're using to listen to an episode.
- 17:03That's what I mean, Yeah. It's not what they're using to
- 17:07search for us. It's what they're using to
- 17:08actually listen to an episode. That's interesting.
- 17:12Yeah. It's just, it's literally just
- 17:14it because it even breaks it down to like Amazon Alexa, like
- 17:17I said, Google Podcasts and there's other like if you upload
- 17:20to Apple podcast, it'll upload to other smaller podcasting
- 17:24platforms as well. And I know we're also like on
- 17:28iHeartRadio through what we use as anchor, but it got bought out
- 17:32by Spotify, so now it's called Spotify for Podcasters.
- 17:36So I, I, I to this day, I don't know what web browser is.
- 17:39And I'm assuming that's for how a lot of maybe international
- 17:41people. Listen to us.
- 17:43I was just like they might not have access to certain things
- 17:47so. I have no idea.
- 17:50But however you find us, once again, thank you so much.
- 17:54And I've always tried to make sure throughout episodes you'll
- 17:56hear me saying thank you to people who listen to us.
- 17:59Even if it's one person, 10 people, you know, we really
- 18:03appreciate it. So I'm a go ahead and go over
- 18:08the top five episodes of the overall podcast since we've been
- 18:12doing this since 2020. So #5 is actually the TV review
- 18:17that we did for the K drama The Glory and specifically Part 2.
- 18:22It seems like is has more listens than Part 1 #4 is.
- 18:27Can you guess my favorite twice song #3 is living in Florida, 2
- 18:33is Can you guess my favorite Stray Kid song and #1 is Can you
- 18:37guess my favorite black pink song?
- 18:39A lot of K pop. A lot of K pop and no BTC
- 18:44surprisingly. It's a very we.
- 18:46Talk about BTC like all the time.
- 18:48A lot. It's actually good.
- 18:51It's a good, it's a good, it's a good mix.
- 18:53Yeah, now I know the episode of the guessing game where we
- 18:56specifically focus on like the first few projects of the wrap
- 18:59line. I think that's like #6 or 7.
- 19:01So it's up there. Just wasn't top five.
- 19:03Yeah, gotcha, gotcha. Yes, yes.
- 19:06We also obviously have a top like 5 episodes that we, again,
- 19:12Simone did mention that we had a hard time picking out what
- 19:16episodes we wanted each. But we did wanted to shout out a
- 19:19few episodes that we didn't select as our top five, but we
- 19:24still wanted to show some love to it.
- 19:26So we were going to shout out on the episodes how we got into K
- 19:30Pop. Let's take a trip to Singapore
- 19:33and South Korea. So a big shout out to those two
- 19:37because it is those two were on our list for both of us.
- 19:43And surprisingly, yeah. But we also didn't want to do
- 19:47the same episodes each. We each wanted to do something
- 19:50different. So, but yeah, show some love to
- 19:53those two episodes. Yes.
- 19:55And those two episodes of what I was talking about earlier is
- 19:58like you could tell. I've matured in my talking
- 20:02because especially since the how we got into kpop, that was like
- 20:05either, I think that was either third or fourth episode of doing
- 20:08the podcast. So like it's messy, audio
- 20:11doesn't sound the best. We were just trying to figure
- 20:14out how to do it. But we were obviously explaining
- 20:16how we got into K pop because I knew the future of the podcast.
- 20:19We would be talking a lot of K pop and especially BTS.
- 20:23And I know towards the end I had brought up like cultural
- 20:25appropriation and K pop and man, the last like, think almost 30
- 20:30minutes, I try to explain how my feelings of, you know, that
- 20:34issue, which is a very divisive issue at Kpop.
- 20:37And I could already tell like I I did such a terrible job.
- 20:41I was almost kind of like, OK, I might have to skip like Simone,
- 20:44what are you saying? What are you trying to say?
- 20:47I tried, but it was I know because I didn't really know how
- 20:52to say. I think there was some, like,
- 20:53information that I miss said. I'm trying to remember the
- 20:57specific one because I took it off since my list.
- 21:00I think I had mentioned something about when Black Lives
- 21:03Matter started. Did I say we started in 2014?
- 21:07I think I said it started in 2014, but I had said Trayvon
- 21:09Martin, which isn't true because Trayvon Martin happened in 2012.
- 21:13Yes, Right. Yes.
- 21:16Yes. Because Trayvon Martin and Sandy
- 21:18Hook happened in the same year, which I think a lot of people
- 21:21forget. Yeah.
- 21:22Yeah. But his trial didn't happen
- 21:23until 2013. And boy, I remember that because
- 21:26I was actually out the country when that happened.
- 21:28And when we found out the verdict, it was a very
- 21:31interesting trip among the Americans.
- 21:33And since me, my dad and I think two other people were the only
- 21:37black people in that group compared to everyone else.
- 21:40So we were just like. And we were all from Florida.
- 21:43They're from Miami. So it's just like this.
- 21:46Oh, God, yeah. That was the time anyway.
- 21:50So yeah. And then compared to the Let's
- 21:52Take a Trip one where my friend Brianna would shout out to her,
- 21:57she's actually currently in China.
- 21:59Miss you, girl, I hope you're having a great time, especially
- 22:02not being here in the States. Anyway, we were going to talk
- 22:06about that anyway. We interviewed her on her trip
- 22:10when she went to Singapore and South Korea.
- 22:12And the 1st 40 minutes of that episode I had actually did
- 22:15another talk about cultural appropriation in K Pop because
- 22:18that's around the time Tayyang had put on that do rag.
- 22:21So I think I did a way better job at explaining my feelings on
- 22:26that than I did on how we got into K Pop.
- 22:29So just keep that in mind when you listen.
- 22:31Again, 23 year old brain compared to 27 year old brain.
- 22:37272627 Yeah, I'm around there. Yeah.
- 22:42Oh, it's just shown I've gotten that's what I meant by earlier.
- 22:45I've gotten better at talking in general, expressing my feelings,
- 22:49expressing complex topics, things like that.
- 22:53So. But they're both still really
- 22:55good episodes. So listen to both of them And if
- 22:58you want to cut those parts, like I said, how we got into K
- 23:00Pop, it's like the last 30 minutes and then let's take a
- 23:04trip to Singapore. It's the first 40 minutes.
- 23:06I still think it's good information, but I understand.
- 23:10I think it'd be something good for everyone to take a listen to
- 23:15it because you get to see the growth of someone and I think
- 23:19that's something that you get to see regardless.
- 23:22You get to see that with our K Pop fans, with, you know,
- 23:25artists, actors, actresses, you know, as you see them evolving,
- 23:31you do get to see how they evolve.
- 23:33So I think it's a good way to take a listen.
- 23:36So I recommend taking a listen to the full episodes, not just
- 23:38cutting off. Well, thank you, Lala.
- 23:40I appreciate that. You're welcome.
- 23:43You're very welcome. All right, we want to go ahead
- 23:47and talk about our favorite top five episodes.
- 23:50So Lala, you want to start with your #5?
- 23:53Yes. So I'll go ahead off with my #5
- 23:57being episode life as a college student.
- 24:02And in this description, just a quick description of the
- 24:05episode, it's Nafis and Simone talk about life in college after
- 24:10the pandemic and the pros and cons of going all online for
- 24:14school. The reason for my pick is as a
- 24:19college student myself currently, I understand the pros
- 24:23and cons. I am biased with liking online
- 24:27more only because I am a working adult and it has made it easier
- 24:33for me and really right now it's the only way for me to do.
- 24:35School. So, but I can see and understand
- 24:39the pros and cons of, you know, from going to campus, being on
- 24:44campus to all of a sudden having to be online.
- 24:47It's, you know, it's a big change when that happens.
- 24:51The biggest highlight off of our off of that episode is learning
- 24:56the degrees Nafisa and Simone took and then breaking down how
- 25:00each degree can take you on different paths.
- 25:04I'm not going to lie, I was surprised when I saw that on
- 25:07your list. It was a good thing to learn
- 25:09though from like both of you. And I think that's something,
- 25:12and I think that's the reason why I picked it is because you
- 25:16never know when a listener jumps in into the podcast and whether
- 25:20they go back. And so if they're wanting to
- 25:22learn a little bit more of like what you went to school for, a
- 25:27little bit of like the differences and things like
- 25:30that, like it's a good episode to take a listen to.
- 25:33I enjoyed it. Clearly, Yeah, that's true.
- 25:37I mean, again, a lot of these half the stuff I've said, I
- 25:41don't remember, but like, I also wasn't sure about that one
- 25:45because like, I wasn't sure if it was a little boring or like
- 25:48if people cared. So I am glad someone enjoyed it.
- 25:52And maybe like, other people in college can feel the same way
- 25:55too, obviously because it was during the pandemic.
- 25:58It's a little different than now, but still.
- 26:02No, it was good. It was a good episode.
- 26:04It was entertaining and again, you do walk away with like some
- 26:09new like understanding and information because obviously
- 26:12like both of you guys went into two different like career paths.
- 26:16So it's just it was nice to see. It was nice to hear.
- 26:20Thanks. So what is your fifth?
- 26:23Yes, so. We have that delay, don't we?
- 26:27No. We don't.
- 26:30No, I just cut you off. That's a little OK.
- 26:33Dear God, I can't. I'm so afraid we do.
- 26:35That's why I've been waiting and letting you talk.
- 26:38Jesus Christ. Fine, so remember.
- 26:41How I said so for anyone listening, remember how I said
- 26:45in the beginning the challenges of like doing a podcast and you
- 26:49never getting to see like the behind the scenes.
- 26:52If we do decide to leave at least this little clip here,
- 26:56technical difficulties, that's what happens, especially when
- 26:58you're living in two different states, so.
- 27:01In two different time zones I get.
- 27:03Well, if you make it fun, yeah, two different time zones.
- 27:07I might keep it in, it's fine. At least just that part.
- 27:11Yeah, OK, it's fine because I was going to reply to you about
- 27:17that and now I don't even remember what I was going to
- 27:20say. Just be honest.
- 27:22I had a rebuttal and I was like, damn it, what was I going to
- 27:25say? It's fine.
- 27:27It's oh, I remember now. See squirrel Brain I'm.
- 27:31So sorry. This is why we talked for two
- 27:34plus hours. I was just going to say this
- 27:36also shows for my degree and I've talked about on other
- 27:40episodes too, why I decided to do this podcast.
- 27:44I explained it earlier too. It's just as a person who wanted
- 27:47to get into the entertainment industry and even now the way
- 27:50things are going, like I don't know what that would look for me
- 27:52if I ever tried. I kind of feel like it's too
- 27:54late, but at least I can use this show as some type of
- 27:58creative outlook to still keep that interest.
- 28:01So we're going to move on. This is going to be so fun for
- 28:04me to edit. I'm so sorry.
- 28:08It's not your fault. Technology, it's supposed to
- 28:11help us, yet it hinders us. All right.
- 28:14OK. So thank.
- 28:15You all of your 5th. Yes, so for my 5th is actually
- 28:20another anniversary episode. It's actually what we did our
- 28:23happy one year anniversary titles, pretty much
- 28:26self-explanatory. Myself, Macy, the Feast and
- 28:31Brianna discuss what it's like doing the podcast for a year,
- 28:35especially during that year, because Brianna was helping us
- 28:37with the social media and obviously the Feast was my Co
- 28:41host and Macy was pretty much becoming a she was on her way to
- 28:46becoming a second Co host. Yes, I said that right.
- 28:50You know how it was at the very beginning compared to the time
- 28:54we started recording, getting used to hearing our own voices
- 28:57on the microphone, things like that.
- 28:59And then we also started to play, you know, a questionnaire
- 29:02that Macy found to get to know the host a little bit better,
- 29:05especially back at that time, which was in 2021.
- 29:08I mean, mainly reasons was just it was just a fond memory for
- 29:12me. Happy times to listening to us.
- 29:14A lot of laughs in that episode. So it brought back a lot of
- 29:17memories. And then some highlights on
- 29:19there was we gave a preview of one of the episodes I had on my
- 29:23list dealing with BTSI had learned that day there's
- 29:27apparently somewhere in mid Florida, a rodeo day in Florida.
- 29:31I completely forgot about that until I re listened to it.
- 29:35There was a part where we talked about places we want to travel.
- 29:38I do not want to travel to Dubai anymore.
- 29:40Got to got to give that update. Free Sudan, OK, we still free
- 29:45Palestine and free Sudan over here.
- 29:47And then another highlight was one of the questions Macy asked
- 29:51us was if we would rather go to the future or to the past.
- 29:54And me and Brianna burst out laughing because why would you
- 29:58ask two people, 2 black people, 2 black women?
- 30:02What if we want to go to the past in America?
- 30:06So no. And then I also just found it
- 30:10interesting, which kind of not sad, but sad in a way listening
- 30:15to it, especially towards the end where we talked about like
- 30:18our goals and I had brought up, I forgot what the question was,
- 30:21but like how I haven't really found my contentment or
- 30:24happiness yet. And I still kind of feel that
- 30:27way. But like, I'm still very happy
- 30:30when it comes to my friends because things that they brought
- 30:33up, like Macy brought up wanting to be in a relationship and
- 30:37she's been in a very loving relationship since then.
- 30:40And Brianna talked about travelling and like I mentioned
- 30:42earlier, she's in China. So I'm happy for them.
- 30:46They were able to achieve their goals.
- 30:48Still working on it. But you know, some of us got
- 30:52some manifestation powers within.
- 30:56It was a good one. It was a good listen to again,
- 30:59the happy memories. And I think that's like the big
- 31:02take away from all of this is like the connections of like
- 31:07happy moments, whether it was based on reminiscing and it
- 31:12taking you down depending on like what we were reminiscing
- 31:16about. Like you have that type of
- 31:18connection. Like obviously for me, a lot of
- 31:21it like has to do with the music.
- 31:24And so like listening to you guys talking about some of that
- 31:28stuff, it's like, Oh, I remember that.
- 31:30Like I remember, you know, where I was at at that point in my
- 31:34life and like what happy triggered memories that did for
- 31:39me. So but yes, at the end of the
- 31:42day it is, you know, again sad having to knock out some
- 31:48countries of will no longer want to visit anymore.
- 31:52So. It's just the way life is.
- 31:54I mean, you learn new information.
- 31:56That's also part of the growth, so.
- 31:58Pretty much, and obviously it's depending on what's going on in
- 32:01the world, but we're not going to, you know, stick to that.
- 32:05So we'll go on and move on to #4 And mine was thoughts and
- 32:11rambles. K pop highlights.
- 32:15Obviously the title itself is planatory.
- 32:19Simone and Macy talk about their favourites and what is being
- 32:22dropped in the month of May and the future in 2022.
- 32:28So that was a big. This ended up being my number 41
- 32:33because I learned some new music.
- 32:35Obviously I got a little bit of inside of like what you were
- 32:38listening to back then. So I got to listen to new music
- 32:42and to new artist. I guess I should say also that
- 32:47was around the time, no, because I became ARMY in like 20-20.
- 32:55But I at that time is when I was really diving deep into BTS and
- 33:02becoming like a full stand. So that to me was like a big
- 33:06like memory because I was all like, Oh yeah, that was around
- 33:10the time like they were doing the proof drop for BTS.
- 33:14By the way, I do agree with Simone back then that they
- 33:17should have done what they did to when they released B and had
- 33:23the photo cards of all 7 versus, you know, it was random.
- 33:27Cute because it was an anthology album of their career.
- 33:32Why would you not Add all seven of them and have a photo?
- 33:37I completely forgot about that too until you brought it up.
- 33:40Like why? Why wouldn't you do that?
- 33:43I still I still don't understand.
- 33:45Just Add all 7 and have at least a group.
- 33:47Or if you're going to do individuals have a group photo
- 33:50because this what they used to do back in the day.
- 33:52Exactly. My old albums of like Dark and
- 33:54Wild and oh are you late too? You would get a photo card of 1
- 33:59member and then a group photo card.
- 34:02Yeah, and. That's exactly what was it for
- 34:05me. And it was just like, Oh my God.
- 34:07Like, why couldn't they have done it?
- 34:08Especially because, like you said, it was an anthology album.
- 34:12Like it only made sense to include all 7 and do like, group
- 34:17photo cards. So yeah, I am.
- 34:20I was so upset about that, too. So it was, it was great.
- 34:23When I was listening to that, I was like, yeah.
- 34:27But yeah, obviously the highlights from that episode,
- 34:30it's congratulations to Macy for getting out of grooming training
- 34:35because that was a big, you know, congratulations at that
- 34:38point. At the beginning of that,
- 34:40another one was obviously got 7. We got somewhat of a comeback at
- 34:46that time too. And I do remember, I remember
- 34:49hearing that I wasn't fully into like got 7 and like I was
- 34:54listening to other K pop at that time, but it was very sparingly.
- 34:59Most of the the listen was BTS back then.
- 35:02So yeah, that was my #4 I did. That to you and also real quick,
- 35:07I think this episode, because you just said it gave you new
- 35:11music to listen to. I think we did this, if my
- 35:14memory is correct, because we were trying to do like what the
- 35:17groups that we played the game with, like where are they now?
- 35:21It was that type of episode. So I don't remember what group
- 35:24we ended with, but that's why we did that.
- 35:27I think. Was it all the way up to Monsta
- 35:30XI? Don't remember.
- 35:31But the highlight was supposed to be like, oh, from the game,
- 35:35these are the groups we did and from that point, like where are
- 35:38they now type thing or what are they doing now?
- 35:42Yeah. So it's a good episode to listen
- 35:43to, especially like If you don't know what type of other kpop
- 35:47groups you want to listen to and maybe you want to find something
- 35:50new. I think this podcast itself
- 35:54expands pretty much. You know, yes, we do talk a lot
- 35:57about BTS, but we do talk about a lot of other groups as well.
- 36:01We do and we forgot to mention this in our shout out because
- 36:04there was another set of episodes we didn't choose, which
- 36:08was US playing the game. And unfortunately that's because
- 36:12of good old copyright and I had to make changes.
- 36:16I've mentioned this before. If you want to listen to my
- 36:19original edit with the music, for some reason they are still
- 36:22available on YouTube. So I know there's no like video
- 36:26visuals, but you can still listen on YouTube.
- 36:29But yeah, because I've, I've would have chosen in some of the
- 36:32episodes of the game if I don't have to take out the music,
- 36:35which sucks because I spent so much time on those episodes, so
- 36:39many sleepless nights. And I remember there were times
- 36:42because the files were so big, I had to like, send them to Macy.
- 36:46I had to make her download the editing software I used so she
- 36:50can download the episode for me and send it to me through
- 36:55e-mail. It's Yeah, that's what we meant
- 36:57by behind the scenes. There's many times my laptop
- 37:00almost came close to crashing out because it would not upload
- 37:04an episode because files were too big.
- 37:07All right, well, so let's go on to my #4 which was an earlier
- 37:11episode back in 2020 called Concerts New York and BTS love
- 37:16yourself experience. So with that one, me and Macy
- 37:21and I believe that was her because I think we if I'm
- 37:25remembering correctly, I think I went to go visit Macy and you
- 37:28can tell by the audio and that was before I bought myself a
- 37:31professional mic. So the how we got into K pop and
- 37:34this one we recorded around the same time, either on that same
- 37:38day or like within the time frame I was visiting her.
- 37:43But anyway, so we basically start off by talking about like
- 37:46our concert and music history from artists we listen to all
- 37:49the way from like childhood we can remember up to us getting
- 37:53into BTS and seeing them for the first time in New York when they
- 37:57did their Speak Yourself Stadium Series in 2019.
- 38:00And that was both of our first time seeing them because we
- 38:04didn't get into them until 2018. We got into them earlier 2018
- 38:08and I got into them later 2018. And not only did we see BTS
- 38:14during their actual concert, we got tickets.
- 38:17Well, I got tickets through Good Morning America to see them
- 38:21promote and perform Boy With Love.
- 38:24So we also talk about our experience seeing an artist
- 38:28through like a television program like that.
- 38:30And then we also did talk about COVID at the time affecting
- 38:33concerts because we recorded it again in 2020, but we were
- 38:37reminiscing about seeing them in 2019.
- 38:40So you get comparisons of like concerts back then and then
- 38:43concerts during COVID, our overall trip to New York as
- 38:47well. And again, kind of the same as
- 38:49#5 it's just a happy memory for me.
- 38:51But not only that, it was like kind of one of the happiest
- 38:54times in my life and remembering just a lot of things I did as my
- 38:59first as K Pop fan that I will never do again, not at my big
- 39:02age. And you'll understand what you
- 39:05listen to the episode. There's a lot of things that we
- 39:07both did I will never do again. And I know I'm like, I'll never
- 39:11do it again. And then I do it.
- 39:12No, I'm not I'm not. I'm way too old for this.
- 39:15Way too old, but anyway some of the highlights were I forgot
- 39:20that I did mention T Pain who is an artist I've always liked as a
- 39:24child. Liked it.
- 39:25Instagram post of mine when back in high school I made a dance to
- 39:29one of his songs. I remember when J Hope waved me
- 39:32during good boarding America. The difference of buying tickets
- 39:35on Ticketmaster compared to now especially.
- 39:39Dear Lord, I forgot I had also deemed Yungi back then the
- 39:43captain of the BTS twerk team the way light sticks function.
- 39:49And I am still to this day because we talked about the
- 39:54virtual concert of Map of the Soul One.
- 39:56I am waiting for them to put the Black Swan Orchestra version on
- 40:00streaming. Why is it not on streaming?
- 40:03Why is it not on Spotify or Apple Music?
- 40:05Five years later, I am so, so hype.
- 40:08Big hit complete on Trixia. Delete on featuring.
- 40:13See let's pretend that never happened.
- 40:15Most of the fand that pretend that song does not exist and
- 40:17replace it with Black Swan Orchestra version.
- 40:20I am so upset it's only available on YouTube through a
- 40:23music video. You're going to give me a
- 40:24masterpiece like that and you won't have it on streaming.
- 40:28It's the same with Dang. Why is Dang still not on
- 40:31streaming? And you know that you can listen
- 40:34to Dang on the freaking what is it Rhythm Hive game Yes, like
- 40:42you complete streaming. I know.
- 40:45Make it make sense to me. Make it make sense.
- 40:48That I till this day that we're always going to have beef with
- 40:52that I it will forever be beef with you until you release this
- 40:57stuff for us and we've been banging for Dang since 2018.
- 41:01Yes, I. Remember getting into the
- 41:02fandom? They're begging them to put Dang
- 41:04on Spotify. It's been seven years.
- 41:09Let's get on it. We know you guys have it.
- 41:12Let's go. I thought they were going to
- 41:14release it when they were in the military.
- 41:16That would have been such a great thing to do was to release
- 41:20all this music like they. You know what, It's fine.
- 41:22It's fine. But they were releasing other
- 41:24members singles that they did, so I thought this was going to
- 41:27be one of them and it wasn't. What's going on?
- 41:30Y'all got the clearance for Yungi for August D What's going
- 41:34on, What happened? I don't know, I don't know.
- 41:37Who knows? All right, so let's go on to our
- 41:42number 3. So my number 3 is a TV review,
- 41:46the Glory Part 2, which is ironic.
- 41:49The fact that, you know, it's also on our top like most listen
- 41:53videos for episodes, I should say yeah, episodes.
- 41:58So obviously for the description, the title itself is
- 42:01explanatory. I will say I will put a
- 42:05disclaimer here. If you have not watched the
- 42:07Glory, do watch it before going and listening to the episodes of
- 42:12The Glory Part 1 and 2. If you don't mind having
- 42:16spoilers, then go ahead, take a listen because there are
- 42:20spoilers. They do breakdown the entire two
- 42:24parts of the Glory, Simone and the Feast and Macy talk about
- 42:30the show from episodes 9 to the last episode 16.
- 42:35Disclaimer I did not know so I didn't watch this show when it
- 42:42was aired like when they were live releasing it.
- 42:46I watched it once it was fully available.
- 42:49So like I binge watched it right?
- 42:52So I didn't know that they did like 2 parts.
- 42:57They released the first like 8 episodes and I think like late
- 43:02December or something like that. And then it's a new thing
- 43:06because I know Netflix is starting to do that now with a
- 43:07lot of their shows. So they'll like release half of
- 43:10the show and then months later they'll release the other one.
- 43:12I have a feeling that started with the glory, surprisingly so,
- 43:17yeah. They broke it up, yeah.
- 43:19So to this day, I still think of the show so obviously to me,
- 43:24like this was, you know, a really good episode to listen to
- 43:27to both of them. But I decided to obviously take
- 43:30part too because it was more towards the end.
- 43:33And just in case I ended up saying anything, any spoilers, I
- 43:37just wanted to go ahead and pick that one.
- 43:38So yeah, hearing Simona Nepheson and Macy's theories and
- 43:44observations were very entertaining.
- 43:46So do take a listen to the episodes.
- 43:49They're really fun there. There was a little bit of a
- 43:54complaint on Part 2, which is how I knew that they split up
- 43:57part, you know, they split up the the two parts because the
- 44:02Feast does ask like if it was something good, if it was a good
- 44:08thing for them to do a Part 1 and Part 2, so.
- 44:12Entertaining episode. Thank you.
- 44:14I'm also proud of myself because I feel like especially for a TV
- 44:18review, that's the one. I was so into the glory when it
- 44:21came out and I did so much research.
- 44:24I went as far as trying to research how divorce went and
- 44:27custody battles went between children in Korea.
- 44:30I've looked up like color blindness and the differences
- 44:34between color blindness. Like, I did my research on that
- 44:37one and that's why they're almost like 3 hours long.
- 44:40I think they're one of the longest episodes we have.
- 44:42But aside from the show, I am proud of myself.
- 44:45Like I put a lot of work into those two episodes.
- 44:49And yeah, great television. Haven't really been able to find
- 44:53AK drama like that since. I know.
- 44:57Same here. Until then, Yeah.
- 45:00Until then. All right, so for your number #3
- 45:05I have another older 1. You know, as someone who said I
- 45:09wasn't going to listen to the old episodes out of cringe, I
- 45:11end up picking a lot of the older episodes.
- 45:14But this one actually truly is one of my favorites.
- 45:16And This is why I picked it for three.
- 45:18So it's called is life better in your 20s, I think, versus your
- 45:2230s. And this was actually during a
- 45:25vacation time. I had I think really early
- 45:29November because I remember we didn't start like posting
- 45:34episodes for the podcast yet, but we were pre recording a lot.
- 45:38And even when I was on vacation with them, I do remember I was
- 45:42at the time our very first picture like profile cover for
- 45:47the podcast I had hand. So I was working on that during
- 45:51the vacation. It was just one of the things to
- 45:52give us like out of the house during COVID time.
- 45:55But we are mostly, you know, in the House of just the a lot of
- 46:00us. I don't remember how much how
- 46:01many people there were. It's me, my brother Frankie,
- 46:04Matt, Rebecca, Ella. It was a lot of us anyway, So
- 46:10yes, I was on vacation with them.
- 46:13So I was with my brother. If you heard me mumbling his
- 46:17husband Frankie, his best friend Matt which I just called them
- 46:21all my family but I'm not related to blood by Matt,
- 46:26Rebecca and Michaela. Matt and my brother have been
- 46:29best friends literally since 5th grade so I pretty much grew up
- 46:33with them and Rebecca is Matt's wife.
- 46:36But again they've been together for a really long time.
- 46:38They were high school sweethearts.
- 46:39Shout out because we actually do have an episode with Matt and
- 46:42Rebecca. I forget what is titled, but it
- 46:44was a Valentine episode and I really appreciate them coming on
- 46:48again and talking about like their relationship and like the
- 46:51differences of like them being so young and high school
- 46:55sweethearts to compare to. Like if they were never high
- 46:57school sweethearts, getting real about marriage and having kids
- 47:01so young, so things like that. But they were on.
- 47:05And I believe Rebecca, she used to be a social worker.
- 47:09I'm not sure if she's a therapist now, but I really
- 47:12enjoyed that because besides the chaos of all of us towards the
- 47:17end, especially, they give really great advice and also to
- 47:21re listening to it at the age I'm at now 28, like I can
- 47:25understand their advice a lot more than I did back then.
- 47:29I'm like listening to them speak and I'm like, oh, you know what?
- 47:32Like I, I see it better now that I'm closer to my 30s than back
- 47:37then when I was early 20s. So if you are obviously in your
- 47:4320s, whether it's early 20s, late 20s or early 30s, I think
- 47:47you'll to understand the comparisons of where your life
- 47:50may have been back then to where it is now.
- 47:52I'm getting some really good advice, especially if you are on
- 47:54the younger side. So some highlights from that is
- 47:57I forgot during that time, my brother and Frankie had given me
- 48:01a nickname during the trip. So I have my own AI name called
- 48:04SIM One and they kept doing a robot voice too.
- 48:08I relate to Matt now, especially when you talked about your body
- 48:12starts to hurt when you're in your 30s.
- 48:14I'm not even 30 yet. Obviously I got a chronic
- 48:17illness. I've talked about it before, but
- 48:19I feel it. I feel it in my 30s and I still
- 48:24busted out laughing when Matt had talked about when he had
- 48:28sneezed. One time he threw out his neck.
- 48:30That is still hilarious to me. I'm sorry to be loud, forget
- 48:32you're paid. But I'm also sorry to my brother
- 48:36for teasing him about reading webtoons and web comics and not
- 48:41saying, oh, they're not real books because I am a person who
- 48:44reads webtoons and web comics and those are technically my
- 48:47books. OK.
- 48:48It's like the whole our audio books considered real books.
- 48:52So I apologize. I apologize, Ed.
- 48:56And yeah, like I've mentioned a little bit earlier, I really
- 48:58enjoyed Matt, Rebecca and Michaela's perspective of their
- 49:01early 20s because they had kids so young.
- 49:04Like Rebecca talks about, she had her first daughter when she
- 49:08was 21, so. The last 30 minutes is
- 49:11definitely the best when it comes to like giving just life
- 49:14advice and it's always interesting to see in and I
- 49:18think it's really great, which I know therapists like advice it a
- 49:23lot of like keeping a journal. And so like if you do anything
- 49:27like that, whether it's keeping a journal, whether it's keeping
- 49:30your artwork because you draw, whether I know some people don't
- 49:34have the confidence of like doing a podcast, but like you
- 49:38could always do like voice memos of yourself when you're younger.
- 49:42And then taking back and like going back and like reading your
- 49:46stuff, looking at your artwork, listening to your voicemails,
- 49:48you get to like see the difference and understand like
- 49:52how much growth there is. And then especially like, if
- 49:55you're sitting down with like people that are older and
- 49:58hearing their advice, like when you're younger, you're like, Oh
- 50:02yeah, you know, OK, sure, whatever, you're just older and
- 50:05everything like that. But once you get to their age,
- 50:07like you're like, oh, damn. Yeah.
- 50:09Like, exactly. This is real.
- 50:12This shit is real. So yeah, it was.
- 50:17It's a good episode to take a listen to, especially again, if
- 50:20you're you're in your 20s and you want a little bit of advice
- 50:24to getting into your 30s. It is true your body does start
- 50:28hurting a lot more. I would like to say like once
- 50:31you're 2525 and on, it just kind of just goes spear downhill.
- 50:40All right, so on to my #2 my number 2 was thoughts on
- 50:45rambles. Is Lala surviving the K pop
- 50:47madness? Obviously in this episode both
- 50:52Simone and I talk K pop and the madness of being in multi stand.
- 50:56Also catching up with y'all how we were doing back in May.
- 51:02What is time? Because hello we're in November
- 51:06and Thanksgiving is around the corner.
- 51:08Like Oh no that's just crazy to me.
- 51:12How much? Time is an illusion.
- 51:16It's an illusion and if you bonus points if you know what
- 51:20that's referencing to what TV show that means you got to
- 51:23listen back to episodes there you.
- 51:26Go. You got some homework to do.
- 51:29All right, So for the reason I picked this, so much was going
- 51:33on everywhere and like everyone and their mothers were going on
- 51:40tour this past summer, which was freaking insane.
- 51:43And I'm not even talking just like K Pop.
- 51:45I'm also talking like with the Western artists that were going
- 51:48on tour. So that was a lot of craziness
- 51:51going on. The highlight for me for this
- 51:53episode was the craziness of how many artists K Pop and Western
- 51:59went on tour this past summer, how expensive tickets have
- 52:03gotten, and how shows like Beyoncé didn't do so well in
- 52:07sales. As well as trying to predict
- 52:10what Jin was going to do for his tour.
- 52:13That I think was the most fun part was like us trying to
- 52:17predict what Jin was going to do.
- 52:19And I know funny thing is that Simone, you ended up saying how
- 52:24you were hoping that Jin would play some games with us because
- 52:28we kind of figured, oh, he's going to do something like with
- 52:31music and comedy and how you're like, I hope he plays like a
- 52:34game or two. So my question to you is what is
- 52:39you think now that you have gone and signed Jin?
- 52:43Twice. I mean wishful thinking.
- 52:46Maybe that just means someone from hype is listening to us.
- 52:51Hey, you never know. Maybe, maybe.
- 52:55No, I'm joking. I think that just means I study
- 52:58patterns and I don't know, maybe me and Jen share the same brain
- 53:02cell. I really don't know, but I'm
- 53:04just happy that I guess that. I mean, I wasn't sure how he was
- 53:07going to do it with obviously an arena full of people, but they
- 53:11planned that really well. So everyone was involved.
- 53:15So I'm glad that was able to happen.
- 53:17And of course, you can listen to my experience seeing Jen because
- 53:21we have an episode on that and Gina was on there as well.
- 53:25And I just wanted to point out something when you talk about
- 53:27like Beyoncé and not even just her, but like with K Pop artists
- 53:33and other Western artists, we're also getting into this weird
- 53:36thing where like when the initial sale goes on.
- 53:40And then there's also been arguments between like pre sales
- 53:42and general sales. Because I know with Beyoncé fans
- 53:45were complaining that it seemed like pre sale was more expensive
- 53:48than regular sale, which is wild because usually your most
- 53:51dedicated fans sign up for the pre sales.
- 53:54But anyway, we got into this thing with like you mentioned,
- 53:58it wasn't selling well, but where you see videos of the
- 54:03actual concerts, obviously they're filled.
- 54:05So it's like either people are waiting last minute like or day
- 54:11of to buy tickets or because you can even really buy resell
- 54:16anymore because they're just as astronomically expensive as the
- 54:19regular ticket sales. But we're either having people
- 54:23wait until the last minute or unfortunately we're having a lot
- 54:27of shows get cancelled. I know there's been a couple K
- 54:30pop artists who are still currently touring even now in
- 54:33the month of November and they had to cancel some shows.
- 54:36Juana was supposed to come over and do AUS tour but he had to
- 54:41cancel it. Although I'm hearing that's
- 54:43because of the touring company he was doing it with.
- 54:47But still, there are other like smaller artists who were coming
- 54:50over to tour and they had to like cup cancel a couple dates
- 54:53because they weren't selling. Like I know Ryze from SM had to
- 54:56cancel their Atlanta show because it just wasn't selling
- 55:00out. I actually bought tickets to go
- 55:02see Twice for next year and the date that I bought it for
- 55:07because they're coming to Orlando, it pretty much sold
- 55:10out. I think there's one or a few
- 55:11tickets, but they ended up adding a second date and that's
- 55:13not selling. Another thing too people were
- 55:15complaining about is that they made a lot of the lower bowl
- 55:19VIP. So there's like a ton of VIP
- 55:22left for a lot of stops for Twice.
- 55:24And of course, just like, yeah, like there's more open seats
- 55:28lower and on the floor than there is.
- 55:30And like Nosebleed, which is usually the opposite.
- 55:34I know that there was like an episode.
- 55:35I think that you and I had gone into a little bit of detail of
- 55:39like like what some of the K pop artists are having to deal with,
- 55:42like with the whole visas, obviously the visa prices went
- 55:46up and obviously certain regulations and everything like
- 55:50that in order for them to get their visas.
- 55:52Like the fact that I was supposed to be I was supposed to
- 55:55see card last year, they postponed it to the beginning of
- 56:01this year and then they ended up canceling the show because of
- 56:05visa issues, because of, you know, the issues that they were
- 56:08having getting their visa. So it's just it's crazy.
- 56:12It's a crazy time. It's a crazy thing to see.
- 56:15And again, it's not just affecting K pop because like, as
- 56:19you know, we've talked about, we have Beyoncé here who in the
- 56:23start of her tour, it didn't look like sales did very good.
- 56:27But you are right because like obviously there's a lot of
- 56:30things that are affecting people not going to shows.
- 56:33So like this year, I was a little bummed out that I didn't
- 56:36get to go see 17 cuz they just finished their tour here in the
- 56:41US. There they were another group
- 56:44that didn't fully sell out every, every show.
- 56:47I think there was there. I think there was like 2.
- 56:50I think like Texas did pretty good.
- 56:53Like on sales, LA, obviously LA I'm not surprised about cuz
- 56:57obviously it's always like the main hit, the main place that
- 57:00they hit. But also the other thing that a
- 57:03lot of people need to consider, well, the artists need to
- 57:05consider and the companies need to consider is that right now in
- 57:08the US, like it's hard, not just with economy is also like the
- 57:16flights that are getting cancelled.
- 57:17We talked about this earlier, you and I, and how flights are
- 57:21getting cancelled because of the whole shutdown of the government
- 57:24right now. And like, so 17 didn't come to
- 57:28Chicago for this tour that they just did.
- 57:31So I would have had to have flown to a stop.
- 57:34And so like to all of a sudden you pay for a ticket, then you
- 57:38go ahead and pay for your hotel and your flight, and then it
- 57:42turns out that you go to the airport and your flight is
- 57:44cancelled. Like that's just money that
- 57:46you're constantly losing. So it's kind of one of those
- 57:48things where like you're a lot of people are mindful and then
- 57:52obviously it's a scary world. We don't know what's going to
- 57:55happen. And you know, there's a lot of
- 57:57layoffs going on across the board.
- 57:59A lot of people that are just leaving their jobs as well.
- 58:02So it's like one of those things are like everyone's trying to be
- 58:05smart about their finances right now.
- 58:08So I don't know, I feel like we might not see that many K Pop
- 58:13artists next year for at least not as much as we seen this
- 58:20year. Try to come here and tour.
- 58:22Yeah. And I feel like we talked about
- 58:24that like that's why all the artists were trying to cram to
- 58:27tour this year was because of that.
- 58:30I mean back when we talked about it early this year was just
- 58:34because of Visa. Now, we got a whole set of
- 58:36issues that you just brought up. And I know like, because also we
- 58:41are of course Army. So we all joke because BTS is
- 58:44coming back next year if they've explicitly said that March of
- 58:492026. And even with that, I'm kind of
- 58:51worried. I mean, they did kind of already
- 58:54hint they have a tour planned out of where they may go.
- 58:57And they said a majority of that are US stops.
- 59:01But like as far as right now of this recording, I don't know
- 59:04what that's going to look like. And I don't even know what it's
- 59:06going to look like for us, especially those who have been
- 59:09waiting since military, if we can go depending on where they
- 59:13go, depending how the economy works.
- 59:16Yeah, I know for me, I'm a little bumped out.
- 59:19I've been, I've been coming to terms where I might actually
- 59:22have to miss out their first tour cuz like, and I keep
- 59:26telling you that that's not going to happen.
- 59:27Even if I have to drag, we will find a way.
- 59:31But no, I know you miss it. No, I know, I know.
- 59:34But at the end of the day, we have to be realistic too.
- 59:37So we do. Obviously, I don't know what's
- 59:40going to happen, especially with with my job, unfortunately, not
- 59:44necessarily that I work with the government, but we do a lot of
- 59:47projects with the government and there was some stuff that got
- 59:50shut down. So right now there's a bit of
- 59:52concern there right now. So trying to keep my head up,
- 59:55think positive and all that. So we'll see.
- 59:58We'll see what happens, I mean. It's OK.
- 1:00:01Like, it's not it's not gonna be the end of the world if I don't
- 1:00:03make it to this month. Tour and I we.
- 1:00:06Can be realistic, but we can also be.
- 1:00:09Hopeful. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes we
- 1:00:12can. Which is something we need to
- 1:00:14hold onto in these trying times. Yeah, you're right about that.
- 1:00:19Yes, so let's go ahead and move on.
- 1:00:23Yeah, and talk about my second favorite episode.
- 1:00:27So this actually wasn't on my list, and I'm kind of glad I
- 1:00:31added it last minute and changed out the ones that we gave out.
- 1:00:35Shout outs to because looking listening back, I was like,
- 1:00:39damn, I did a really good job on this episode.
- 1:00:42Kind of like how I talked about with the Glory.
- 1:00:44That is the episode I did a lot of research on.
- 1:00:47I feel like this one was the same as doing research.
- 1:00:52And this one is actually titled Inside Army's Brain.
- 1:00:56So it's three parts. And once again, I have to thank
- 1:01:02the Lord for Shay, Gina and Jen who are the guest on that
- 1:01:06episode. Met them through TikTok and
- 1:01:09being so not only flexible but understanding because we
- 1:01:12literally recorded that whole day for six hours.
- 1:01:16Longest time I've recorded an episode kind of like how me and
- 1:01:19Lala were. Once we get talking we get
- 1:01:21talking. But I'm proud of myself for that
- 1:01:24episode because not only did I did a lot of research on
- 1:01:28everything that we talked about, but I just feel like damn I'm a
- 1:01:31pretty good host. Like if we actually start having
- 1:01:33like actual guests, not our friends, which they are our
- 1:01:36friends, but like you, you know what I mean?
- 1:01:39I'm like, I can actually, you know, handle being a host,
- 1:01:44giving my opinions, moving the conversation along.
- 1:01:48I did a pretty good job. I felt so professionalistic back
- 1:01:51to that. So I chose.
- 1:01:54It's technically Part 3, but the reason for that episode was
- 1:01:59because we were reviewing Nam June's album Right Place, Wrong
- 1:02:02Person. So it's like technically Right
- 1:02:05Place, Wrong Person, Part 2 of the review of the album where we
- 1:02:09go from what songs from the songs lost until the last song
- 1:02:13on that album come Back to me. As well as talking about the
- 1:02:16music videos that came along with that album.
- 1:02:19We also, you know, broke down lyrics, shared our
- 1:02:21interpretation of each song. And I just feel like it was just
- 1:02:24a really good, mature, honest discussion about like, not only
- 1:02:28BTS but just like, the K pop industry as a whole,
- 1:02:31specifically since we're talking about the member Namju in his
- 1:02:34place and all of that. And just like, trying to change
- 1:02:39the stereotypes we have with K pop in the industry and idols as
- 1:02:44well as, you know, like, trying to talk about our complicated
- 1:02:47relationship as fans between, like, artists and fans and how
- 1:02:50we navigate that, especially since this is a genre where it
- 1:02:54feeds so much on, like, parasocialism.
- 1:02:57So yeah, I really do enjoy that. Again, I thank those 3 for being
- 1:03:04guests. We've had Gina come back many
- 1:03:05times. Shay, if you're listening to
- 1:03:07this, you know, come back anytime, especially if we do a
- 1:03:10music review. Gave very great commentary on
- 1:03:16that. In my highlights, we're mainly
- 1:03:19like talking about the music videos.
- 1:03:22So like the Lost and Come Back to Me music video.
- 1:03:25That's why I chose the second-half of us talking about
- 1:03:27the actual album. And of course, we got a little
- 1:03:31emotional discussing all of this and also kind of ended it with
- 1:03:35like a heartfelt and tearful letter to like, Nam June.
- 1:03:39And like, you know, how thankful, how thankful we are
- 1:03:42for the artist that he is and the artist that he has grown
- 1:03:45into. It was a really good episode and
- 1:03:48I really do like hope that people do listen to the song
- 1:03:51because you will get, you know, obviously besides the good
- 1:03:55entertainment, I think you will get to see like different
- 1:03:58insides of different fans. You know, at the end, like,
- 1:04:02yeah, there were some stuff that you guys obviously agreed on,
- 1:04:06right? But listening to different
- 1:04:08people's takes, especially like depending on like how level of
- 1:04:13of interest they have in the music itself.
- 1:04:16Like Shay, obviously we know she's a big music person.
- 1:04:19Like she out musics me. Obviously right now she's having
- 1:04:24a lot, a lot of fun being a DJ on her Spotify.
- 1:04:27So I see that she keeps posting all her videos.
- 1:04:32Yes, of all the transitions she's doing.
- 1:04:35Yeah, she's having a lot of fun with that.
- 1:04:38She goes MIAA lot now. So it's a little like, OK,
- 1:04:41either you're reading or you're just making music.
- 1:04:45So yeah, I think that was a really good very long.
- 1:04:48I still remember when you told me it was like a six hour.
- 1:04:52I was like, what? And even Shay, she's not like,
- 1:04:55my God, that was the longest I have ever talked before.
- 1:05:00I don't know why she said that because when we she used to be
- 1:05:03on TikTok she also used to do like all these lives.
- 1:05:06I mean especially Jen and Gina, they used to be on like 8 hours
- 1:05:10and Shea would pop in and out but still.
- 1:05:12Yeah, but that's why like she would pop in and out though.
- 1:05:16Like she never sat. She never sat and like did more
- 1:05:19than what, maybe 2 hours? I think the only time that she
- 1:05:23ever did like a very Long live was when we were waiting for the
- 1:05:28blackout of TikTok. OK, that makes sense.
- 1:05:32And that was after recording that episode, yeah.
- 1:05:37Yeah, so good, good. So yeah, it's a good one.
- 1:05:41It's a good one. Again, like I said, it's three
- 1:05:44parts. And I also, if no one noticed, I
- 1:05:47named it Inside Army's brain because I think in the lost
- 1:05:50music video or we had said it out loud, like it looks like
- 1:05:54it's in what it looks like to be at Nom June's brain.
- 1:05:58I think some of the merch even said that too.
- 1:06:00So it was kind of like a play on on that because the first part
- 1:06:04is when we actually talked about Jen getting released from the
- 1:06:07military and him holding. Actually, I don't think when the
- 1:06:11time we recorded it, I don't think he had held his festa yet,
- 1:06:14but we talked about he was going to hold the solo festa like
- 1:06:18literally 12 hours after he got discharged.
- 1:06:21And then the second part is the first half of the actual album
- 1:06:26and then the part I picked. So if you can listen to all
- 1:06:31three, spread out your time, they're about two hours each.
- 1:06:34Like I said, six hours. So evenly distributed.
- 1:06:38I'm please do. But I do think that's one of the
- 1:06:40ones that's worth a listen. I'm yeah, I'm still proud of
- 1:06:43myself for that. And you should.
- 1:06:45I don't know why you sell yourself short girl, because
- 1:06:48you. Listen, I'm still, that's still
- 1:06:50part of my growth I'm working on, OK.
- 1:06:52Well, as long as you keep working.
- 1:06:54On it, yeah. I also didn't realize how like
- 1:06:57self deprecating I am. You can hear it a lot when I was
- 1:07:01listening through from early on, even sometimes now.
- 1:07:04I do think I've gotten a little better.
- 1:07:06But yeah, still working on it guys.
- 1:07:11As long as you keep doing that. All right, so now to my number
- 1:07:17one favorite episode. You did better on that.
- 1:07:23I could roll my arms, but I can't do that very well.
- 1:07:26Say you should be the ones who roll your tongue.
- 1:07:28You. Hispanic.
- 1:07:30We can't talk about that. Anyways, so my #1 is on the
- 1:07:37stage. Oakland edition.
- 1:07:40This is where Simone, Gina and Nay talk about their experience
- 1:07:45of seeing Hobie at Oakland, favorite outfits, songs, and
- 1:07:48what they enjoyed the most of the show.
- 1:07:52The reason I picked this This episode was so funny to me and a
- 1:07:56very happy memory to since I saw Holby in Chicago so again
- 1:08:01unlocking other memories. I unfortunately was sick that
- 1:08:05day and I wasn't able to be a part of the episode itself, but
- 1:08:11it's a really fun lesson and. Yeah, I rolled my arm.
- 1:08:17I rolled my eyes so much when I saw why you picked this, and I
- 1:08:21should have known. I should have known.
- 1:08:26So the highlights of this episode and the reason why this
- 1:08:30is my number one is Simone getting attacked by the confetti
- 1:08:36will always be top tier and you could actually hear it in the
- 1:08:40episode. Y'all just love to listen to my
- 1:08:46pain. I don't think I put a clip in
- 1:08:48the actual audio episode but we shared it on social media.
- 1:08:52I showed the video of me recording, we explain it.
- 1:08:56But yes, if you go on our social media, whether it's TikTok,
- 1:08:58Instagram, there is a video of us explaining it.
- 1:09:01And I put the actual section of when it happened because you
- 1:09:04can't see me get attacked by the confetti.
- 1:09:07But I was recording Hobie at the time.
- 1:09:09But you hear me scream and that's why it makes Lala laugh,
- 1:09:13yes? And of course, obviously Gina
- 1:09:15and Ney, because they were there to witness it and I was in the
- 1:09:18middle of them. They got nothing.
- 1:09:20I was the only one. I don't understand how that
- 1:09:23physics happened to this day. It got so dark.
- 1:09:30My world felt like it ended and all you hear is Hobie singing
- 1:09:34Just Dance in the background like a freaking nightmare.
- 1:09:40I'm totally over it. I'm totally over it.
- 1:09:43No, you're not. But you know what's?
- 1:09:45So this is the other thing too, is like off of the video because
- 1:09:49like obviously you showed us the video of you recording Hobie.
- 1:09:52Your hands don't move, you are as steady as a freaking stand
- 1:09:59while you are mid screaming and getting attacked by this
- 1:10:04confetti. Your arms don't don't don't
- 1:10:06move. They don't shake nothing.
- 1:10:08It's like pure perfect recording that you're doing.
- 1:10:11You're so locked in that you would rather get attacked by
- 1:10:15confetti before moving the camera and like trying to save
- 1:10:21yourself. If that is not dedication of an
- 1:10:25army, I don't know what else would be.
- 1:10:28I, I think I was just in shock because I didn't know what was
- 1:10:31going on. And obviously to Gina and they
- 1:10:34were actually in the middle of ripping it off of me while I was
- 1:10:38still recording. So I don't, I don't, I don't
- 1:10:41know. Again, the only thing I'm just
- 1:10:43happy about that whole instance is that no one on that stage saw
- 1:10:46me. No, I didn't mess up anyone's
- 1:10:48flow. No one saw me.
- 1:10:51I'm good. Now, if it was all seven of
- 1:10:53them, that would have been different.
- 1:10:54But because we know Hobie is a professional, I'm fine.
- 1:10:58I'm good. You know damn well if it was all
- 1:11:01seven of them, one of them, if not more, would have seen that
- 1:11:05and would have pointed out and like laughed and said something
- 1:11:08if they had a break. Yes.
- 1:11:10So there you go. There's my number one.
- 1:11:12Just happy that didn't happen. Well, my #1 Oxel does have to
- 1:11:17deal with BTS, but it is all seven members.
- 1:11:22So for my final one, I had actually chosen BTS permission
- 1:11:27to dance La Experience. So that's when me and Brianna
- 1:11:32got together. Now in the recording, I kept
- 1:11:35saying like they were supposed to be a Part 2 because my friend
- 1:11:38that I went with, Precious and her sister were supposed to
- 1:11:41record with me, but things happened so they couldn't.
- 1:11:44But I'm glad we were able to talk about pretty much
- 1:11:47everything in this episode where we saw BTS's return to concerts
- 1:11:51permission to dance after restrictions from COVID.
- 1:11:55When they started, you know, lifting, obviously COVID was
- 1:11:57still going around, but restrictions were lifting to
- 1:12:00where we can have events like this and we went to Los Angeles
- 1:12:05to go see them. I feel like I chose this as my
- 1:12:08#1 because honestly, every time I think about any episode in
- 1:12:12this podcast, I always come to this one.
- 1:12:14I feel like I can remember that recording verbatim.
- 1:12:18I remember pretty much everything we talked about.
- 1:12:21It still makes me laugh. So this is 1 I always come back
- 1:12:24to even like if I'm a little sad, it just cheers me up.
- 1:12:28And it's just also probably 1 of the happiest times after COVID
- 1:12:33in my life. So it's fun to remember those as
- 1:12:36well. And I also do get a little
- 1:12:39embarrassed because this is the episode where I think we both
- 1:12:42kept talking about if they possibly were going to go on
- 1:12:44tour, not realizing that military enlistment was ahead of
- 1:12:48us. Thankfully we're behind that
- 1:12:50now. But I do think you hear me be
- 1:12:52like, oh, they're going on tour, They're going on tour.
- 1:12:55So the highlights of that is US cussing out Ticketmaster and
- 1:12:59Sofi Stadium. And we did talk about the
- 1:13:02difference of us especially. Yeah, both of us because we both
- 1:13:06actually saw BTS during Speaker yourself at MetLife.
- 1:13:08That was before we knew each other, but we went at the same
- 1:13:11time difference of buying tickets then to buying tickets
- 1:13:15during permission to dance and how it's crazy how that has even
- 1:13:18changed to buying tickets now. It's just like and it's just
- 1:13:22like it's been a short span. It's only been like a sick a
- 1:13:26year span, which is wild. But anyway, because both them
- 1:13:31out, especially Sofi because Sofi was actually just built
- 1:13:34around that time too. So it was a fairly like new
- 1:13:37stadium as well. And the handling of that
- 1:13:40celebrating Jin's birthday. And also he had released Super
- 1:13:44Tuna around that time, the day after his birthday, freaking out
- 1:13:49about them opening their Instagram accounts, which is
- 1:13:52funny because we not only talked about their Instagram handles,
- 1:13:55but it's just when we were talking about the concert and
- 1:13:59like talking about seeing parts of skin to where like they're
- 1:14:02all basically naked now. All of them except for, I mean,
- 1:14:07Jit. Listen, Jin did get a little
- 1:14:08brave during his tour and I'm proud of him.
- 1:14:11So. And then there is a part where
- 1:14:15if you're listening now, you'll hear it first hand, but in the
- 1:14:20recording, and I'll post it on social media, I'll embarrass
- 1:14:23myself. I had mispronounced hip hop file
- 1:14:27and I have been mispronouncing it this whole time.
- 1:14:30I don't know if I ever told you what I used to call it.
- 1:14:32La La if you didn't listen to this episode.
- 1:14:36What did you used to call it? I used to call it hip hop filet.
- 1:14:42I knew, see. Don't ask me why.
- 1:14:48Oh my God. Don't ask me why I apparently
- 1:14:51don't know my own language and I was like, I thought it was like,
- 1:14:55you know, they're trying to do hip hop.
- 1:14:58But before I obviously did a deep dive of BTS.
- 1:15:01So like maybe they are trying to imitating so they don't really
- 1:15:03know and it's like I don't know as far as like their English
- 1:15:07again, this was way before I even got into BTS and I just
- 1:15:09never tried to correct myself later on and even in the game
- 1:15:13too, I think you hear me Axe Macy, like how do you pronounce
- 1:15:16this? Because I say filet, I'm like,
- 1:15:19is this file? So yes, it is file, but for the
- 1:15:22longest time I was calling it hip hop filet.
- 1:15:25And I think Brianna made a joke about like how I'm hungry or
- 1:15:28something, I need to go get food.
- 1:15:32So yeah, I'll own up to that because now I can laugh about
- 1:15:36it. But yes.
- 1:15:38That is funny. That would be a perfect clip for
- 1:15:41the socials. I plan to put it on there when
- 1:15:44we get to it during our throwback Thursdays.
- 1:15:46But yeah, if you if you listening to this, you hear it
- 1:15:49here first if you didn't listen to the original episode.
- 1:15:52But obviously it's it's funnier when you listen to the original
- 1:15:55episode because I try to pretend I didn't say it at first when
- 1:15:58she asked me what did I say? So yeah, I just don't know
- 1:16:03English guys, it's fine. Listen, English is a very hard
- 1:16:07language, so. It is.
- 1:16:10It's a stupid language, it is. It very much is.
- 1:16:16All right. Well, that's it.
- 1:16:19That is our top fives. Awesome.
- 1:16:25For five years. Yeah.
- 1:16:27I'm very happy that we picked a lot of like, older episodes.
- 1:16:32Me too. And that's what.
- 1:16:33I was trying to do so. Like, I thought it was going to
- 1:16:36be a little bit harder, but it was some parts were a little
- 1:16:40easy. Like I already had known what my
- 1:16:43number one was. And a couple of them were
- 1:16:46already kind of like staples. Like, Oh yeah, I want to talk
- 1:16:49about this. So, yeah, guys, it's, it's been
- 1:16:53five years as I was thinking. I mean, if we have the time and
- 1:16:57we still want to do this, hopefully we bring you a few
- 1:17:01more years. Don't know what the structure
- 1:17:03will look like in the future, but we're hoping you know good
- 1:17:08things. We'll figure it out, We'll talk.
- 1:17:11But yeah, as always, thank you for listening to us.
- 1:17:15We really appreciate it. Without even just one listener,
- 1:17:18I don't think I would have been doing this for five years
- 1:17:20either. Yeah.
- 1:17:22I'm happy. I'm happy you stuck it out for
- 1:17:25as long as you do, so I'm very proud of you.
- 1:17:29It's very nice to see your growth.
- 1:17:32I don't know if we'll come back and do another episode before
- 1:17:35the end of 2025 in case we don't Happy New Year, even though that
- 1:17:41sounds weird to say. We will survive 2026.
- 1:17:45But yeah, when we do come back, I promise it's going to be
- 1:17:49bigger, better, less talking, more professional, all that good
- 1:17:53stuff. I don't know if you really want
- 1:17:56to promise about the less talking.
- 1:17:58OK, while I was there anything you wanted to say before we
- 1:18:01officially leave I. No, thank you to everyone that
- 1:18:06you know has listened to us. Hopefully we brought some form
- 1:18:11of entertainment, some form of happiness to you.
- 1:18:14Please, by all means, take care of yourself, take care of your
- 1:18:17loved ones. Keep you know, whoever, family,
- 1:18:22friends right now. Obviously it's it's still a
- 1:18:25little tough out there. So lean on those that you depend
- 1:18:30on and can trust on. And once again, thank you.
- 1:18:34We will be back and like Simone says, we will most likely it's
- 1:18:39it'll be a lot better. We'll try to tame the Yappin,
- 1:18:43but. We'll try to tame it, but no
- 1:18:47promises. No promises so.
- 1:18:50Listen, we just get along really well.
- 1:18:53It's an earth sign thing. Also, I meant to mention like
- 1:18:55the permission to dance one that's also a long episode cuz
- 1:19:00me and Brianna. Yeah, but I also think it's an
- 1:19:03earth sign thing because we we both tauruses.
- 1:19:05She's April, I may. So when you get when you get
- 1:19:09earth signs that click. We just chatted up.
- 1:19:12People think we're quiet, but we're really not.
- 1:19:15No, you just have to get us on a good time and the topics have to
- 1:19:19be good. Yeah, but also we just get
- 1:19:23along. We do, I think.
- 1:19:25We do, and as long as you guys get entertainment from us, I
- 1:19:28don't think that should change. All righty.
- 1:19:32Well, once again, thank you wherever you're listening to us
- 1:19:36for tuning in. We would really appreciate it if
- 1:19:40you give us the highest ratings on whatever platform you're
