- 1:41Speaker 1: go back and change about four picks.
- 1:45Speaker 4: That's never a good sign.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Because I do it real hurriedly when it comes out
- 1:52Speaker 1: to make sure I at least have something in for
- 1:54Speaker 1: the week and I don't get busy and forget. But, man,
- 1:59Speaker 1: these games I've picked, I don't like them at all.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I'm going to change about half of them. I don't
- 2:04Speaker 1: know if I've ever done that before. I'll be honest
- 2:06Speaker 1: with you. But I hope I don't forget to do that.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I'm going to go in and make some changes.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Some of you do that.
- 2:15Speaker 6: I know.
- 2:16Speaker 4: I've talked to you.
- 2:17Speaker 1: And that's fine as long as it's before 5 o'clock

- 2:45Speaker 1: This is for entertainment purposes only. Please no wagering. Friday's
- 2:49Speaker 1: Fearless Football Forecast Contest is brought to us every week
- 2:54Speaker 1: by Zwernabend Flooring and Chad Jones Law. I mentioned this
- 3:03Speaker 1: in the first hour. I think it's probably worth mentioning now.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Police reports indicate that public safety officials were dispatched to.
- 3:26Speaker 4: A dormitory on the Ole.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Miss campus yesterday afternoon at 1.30 in which two deceased
- 3:37Speaker 1: students were found. The internet being the internet lit up
- 3:43Speaker 1: with Many other deaths and all of that to students.
- 3:48Speaker 1: They don't know the cause yet. They suspect drug overdose.
- 3:57Speaker 1: But they have not said that yet. The university released
- 4:02Speaker 1: a statement about being heartbroken about unverified information. University police
- 4:09Speaker 1: in contact with local and state law enforcement about the
- 4:13Speaker 1: cause of death, which is still under investigation. We encourage
- 4:18Speaker 1: our community not to speculate about the circumstances or repeat
- 4:24Speaker 1: information that has not been officially confirmed.
- 4:33Speaker 4: It wasn't... I'll be honest. I don't think.
- 4:39Speaker 1: During the game and right after the game in Oxford
- 4:44Speaker 1: Saturday night, there weren't as many, quote, incidences as I thought.
- 4:52Speaker 1: University police, 39 incidents. Six disorderly conducts, five disturbances, an
- 5:01Speaker 1: aggravated assault. EMS called due to one intoxication. Oxford police,
- 5:13Speaker 1: 42 tickets and 43 accidents.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Now, that sounds like a lot.
- 5:24Speaker 1: There were 24 accidents the week before in the nothing
- 5:28Speaker 1: burger game.
- 5:29Speaker 6: Right.
- 5:30Speaker 1: But 43 accidents seems like a lot in a small community. Now,
- 5:35Speaker 1: there were 70,000 people I know at the game. probably
- 5:38Speaker 1: another 30,000 to 50,000 people in the Grove during the game.
- 5:43Speaker 1: 81 reports, Oxford, compared to 53 the week before, such
- 5:52Speaker 1: as lost property, suspicion of theft, malicious mischief.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Again, not nearly... what I thought there was going to be.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Oklahoma defensive tackle David Stone, one of the better defensive
- 6:16Speaker 1: tackles in the country, suffered a knee injury at practice
- 6:20Speaker 1: yesterday when he collided with a scout team player.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Test results, negative.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Stone reported a pain level of 2 out of 10.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Brent Venables, the head coach, indicated he could be available
- 6:42Speaker 1: for Georgia this week. That remains to be seen. Of course,
- 6:52Speaker 1: the Aggies are prepping for LSU in Baton Rouge on
- 7:00Speaker 1: Saturday night. where the Tigers are 29-12 against A & M.
- 7:11Speaker 4: But the Aggies.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Have won the last two, the last time they won
- 7:19Speaker 1: three in a row in the season, between 91 and
- 7:22Speaker 1: 95 RC years.
- 7:23Speaker 4: The last 10 meetings, 5-5.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Elko is 2-0 against LSU. Lane Kiffin is 3-0 against
- 7:44Speaker 1: A & M. You probably already know that stat. He
- 7:49Speaker 1: owned the Aggies when he was with Ole Miss, including
- 7:54Speaker 1: coming here and winning with what I think everyone would consider.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Were lesser teams.
- 8:02Speaker 6: So.
- 8:05Speaker 1: LSU is, did we say nine and a half? Nine
- 8:07Speaker 1: and a half point favorite? I think that's what we said.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Nine and a half?
- 8:16Speaker 8: Eight and a half.
- 8:17Speaker 4: So it's down a point. Did it just open at
- 8:20Speaker 4: eight and a half and stay at eight and a half?
- 8:22Speaker 8: It opened at three and went to eight and a half.
- 8:24Speaker 7: What? Yeah.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Three to eight and a half? Wowzers.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I guess the betting community was not impressed with A
- 8:35Speaker 1: & M' s effort against Kentucky Saturday. I guess they were
- 8:40Speaker 1: more impressed with the LSU loss at Ole Miss, which.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Was, in all fairness, very close. They were very close
- 8:48Speaker 4: to tying that game at the end of the game.
- 8:51Speaker 4: They did not do that.
- 8:54Speaker 1: That is a big swing. I mean, a big swing.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Both teams have some injuries. Terry Bussey out. Not sure, well,
- 9:11Speaker 1: Tredez is a green, the tight end.
- 9:15Speaker 4: He is out.
- 9:18Speaker 1: And probably out a few games, not just this game.
- 9:25Speaker 1: That kid is a specimen. Sam Leavitt has accounted for
- 9:30Speaker 1: nine total TDs, but six of them have been running.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Just three passing. LSU's allowed 22 second half points. But
- 9:41Speaker 1: remember the quality until this last week. The caliber that
- 9:47Speaker 1: they played. Clemson's not very good. Louisiana Tech's not very good. And....
- 9:58Speaker 4: Dylan Jones, the running back. has been pretty good.
- 10:05Speaker 1: A buck 13 against Clemson and 106 against Ole Miss
- 10:11Speaker 1: this last week. They've got to shore up the defense,
- 10:16Speaker 1: meaning A & M.
- 10:16Speaker 7: They....
- 10:20Speaker 4: Must be better on offense, not just the quarterback.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So LSU under the lights from 2020 until now, 27-5.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Between 2000 and 2009, that decade, they were 49-5.
- 10:50Speaker 1: They've been pretty good under the lights. They play a
- 10:53Speaker 1: lot under the lights. And I've said this before, on
- 11:02Speaker 1: the road, in the SEC, if I'm the head coach,
- 11:07Speaker 1: I want an 11 a.m.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Game or a noon game. Now they have a.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Noon time slot, but I want that game. If I'm
- 11:15Speaker 1: on the road, I don't want a night game. I
- 11:18Speaker 1: don't care which stadium you're going to, unless it's Vanderbilt.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I mean, you know, that's not exactly a hotbed, even
- 11:26Speaker 1: though Vanderbilt's been decent the last couple of years. I mean,
- 11:30Speaker 1: they lost to North Carolina State. I know they didn't lose,
- 11:33Speaker 1: but they did lose. They just had a stupid coach. Man,
- 11:40Speaker 1: I still can't get over that. And then I still
- 11:43Speaker 1: can't get over the coach throwing the quarterback under the bus.
- 11:47Speaker 1: That bothers me more or as much or more than
- 11:52Speaker 1: the quarterback.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Being so stupid. That bothers me.
- 12:00Speaker 1: His quarterback, his play call, his team, just go, hey,
- 12:08Speaker 1: I didn't make it clear enough what he should have
- 12:11Speaker 1: done with the football, right, with time running out. not
- 12:17Speaker 1: running around in the back of the end zone. I mean,
- 12:23Speaker 1: I wouldn't play for a coach like that once that happened.
- 12:26Speaker 1: He may have lost his team with being that stupid.
- 12:31Speaker 4: I mean, I don't really care.
- 12:32Speaker 1: It's North Carolina State, and I don't think the rest
- 12:34Speaker 1: of college football cares either. Okay, we've got baseball tonight.
- 12:39Speaker 1: We've got Astros baseball. So, Ranger fans, you can watch
- 12:44Speaker 1: the Ranger game. It starts at 7.05. against the Mets
- 12:48Speaker 1: from Arlington. Then you can tune in and listen to
- 12:54Speaker 1: the Astros get punked again by Seattle. The Astros have
- 13:01Speaker 1: lost 9 of 11 to the Mariners, and they've got
- 13:07Speaker 1: Logan Gilbert on the mound tonight.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Their best pitcher. We'll see. We'll see.
- 13:14Speaker 1: You know, when stuff like that happens, it's like, ooh.
- 13:17Speaker 1: And it never works out that way, right? It's like
- 13:20Speaker 1: when you've got the two best pitchers going against each other.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Very seldom do you have a 2-1 game. You end
- 13:26Speaker 1: up with an 11-10 game. And as we like to say, hey,
- 13:30Speaker 1: that's just baseball.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Okay.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Let's hear from Mike Elko from his weekly news conference yesterday.
- 13:44Speaker 9: There's much to add. Obviously, it wasn't up to the
- 13:46Speaker 9: standard that we want it to be. And, you know,
- 13:49Speaker 9: the challenge on us now is to respond. And we've
- 13:51Speaker 9: got a great opportunity this week to go on the
- 13:54Speaker 9: road and play a top 10 team in an environment
- 13:57Speaker 9: that's going to be electric.
- 13:59Speaker 6: And we have to respond. And that's what this program
- 14:01Speaker 6: was built on.
- 14:02Speaker 9: And certainly that'll be the challenge that's been laid out
- 14:05Speaker 9: to the staff and the guys this week and to
- 14:07Speaker 9: myself and I fully expect that we'll go out into
- 14:09Speaker 9: Tiger Stadium and do that. And so looking forward for
- 14:12Speaker 9: the opportunity, looking forward to the challenge, and just looking
- 14:14Speaker 9: forward to get back out there and moving on to
- 14:17Speaker 9: the next step for us. And so the only other
- 14:20Speaker 9: thing that I'll add, just an injury update. Unfortunately, Terry
- 14:23Speaker 9: Bussey will be out for the season. We kind of
- 14:25Speaker 9: thought that was going to.
- 14:26Speaker 6: Be the case, and that was that way.
- 14:30Speaker 9: So it's a lower body injury, and we'll look forward
- 14:33Speaker 9: to him recovering and being back with us next year.
- 14:35Speaker 9: So from there, we'll kind of open it up to questions.
- 14:37Speaker 10: Coach, we'll go to the back right.
- 14:39Speaker 11: Mike, you've said in the past that everybody's job is earned.
- 14:43Speaker 11: I'm wondering if you decide to make switches in the
- 14:46Speaker 11: starting lineup, do you do it early in the week
- 14:49Speaker 11: so they practice with the ones?
- 14:50Speaker 6: Do you wait and see most of the week to
- 14:53Speaker 6: see what.
- 14:53Speaker 11: Kind of practices each position has that you might be
- 14:57Speaker 11: thinking about changing?
- 14:58Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it's probably a little bit of both.
- 15:00Speaker 9: I think there's times where you make decisions early in
- 15:03Speaker 9: the week and you're trying to move some guys around
- 15:06Speaker 9: and get people comfortable in new settings. And then there's
- 15:08Speaker 9: times where you're challenging a spot to say this spot
- 15:12Speaker 9: needs to play better. And the two guys that are
- 15:15Speaker 9: competing for it, we're going to give it to whoever
- 15:17Speaker 9: practices better. And so I think sometimes it happens both ways. Obviously,
- 15:21Speaker 9: I think that's something we're always looking at and always evaluating.
- 15:23Speaker 9: And no, that's no different this week.
- 15:26Speaker 10: We'll stay to the right. David, third row.
- 15:29Speaker 11: Coach Uncle Marcus Ratcliffe said things were loose last week
- 15:31Speaker 11: in practice.
- 15:32Speaker 12: Looking back, were there warning signs potentially of that.
- 15:35Speaker 13: And what can be made to correct it moving forward?
- 15:37Speaker 9: Yeah, I think loose in terms of, you know, we
- 15:40Speaker 9: just– We never got comfortable with what we were trying
- 15:47Speaker 9: to do. I think as the week went on, we
- 15:50Speaker 9: were tweaking and trying to get our kids into a
- 15:53Speaker 9: spot where they were comfortable with what we were.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Trying to do.
- 15:56Speaker 9: Honestly, I don't know that we ever... felt great, and
- 16:00Speaker 9: obviously that showed Saturday. That was probably one of the
- 16:02Speaker 9: worst defensive performances we've had in my tenure here, and so.
- 16:07Speaker 6: I own that. That's on me.
- 16:08Speaker 9: That's nobody else's responsibility. I don't think it was loose
- 16:11Speaker 9: in the sense of people not trying or people not
- 16:14Speaker 9: trying to figure it out. I think it was loose
- 16:16Speaker 9: in the sense that we just weren't able to hit
- 16:19Speaker 9: it the way we wanted to or the way we
- 16:21Speaker 9: usually do, and so.
- 16:23Speaker 6: We've got to go back to the drawing board.
- 16:25Speaker 10: We'll go to Carter, first row.
- 16:27Speaker 14: We saw a lot of Aaron Gregory in the place
- 16:29Speaker 14: of Terry. What can you expect from him, and what
- 16:33Speaker 14: do you think he can bring into the place of him?
- 16:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it's an opportunity for him to step up.
- 16:37Speaker 9: Obviously, a young kid, he'll be playing his first college
- 16:39Speaker 9: road game, but he's a really talented kid and a
- 16:43Speaker 9: very competitive kid. And, you know, I think you saw
- 16:46Speaker 9: some of those guys step into roles on Saturday with
- 16:48Speaker 9: us having to rotate.
- 16:49Speaker 6: And then certainly at the end when we had to
- 16:51Speaker 6: throw the ball a lot. And, you know, Jaden Warren, T.K.
- 16:54Speaker 9: Norman, Kelshawn Johnson. And, you know, we've always kind of
- 16:57Speaker 9: been a next man up mentality. And we're going to
- 16:59Speaker 9: need that again.
- 17:00Speaker 14: And on the broadcast, they said Coach Hemphill described the
- 17:04Speaker 14: defense as a non-blitzing, aggressive defense. I'm curious if that's
- 17:09Speaker 14: like a departure, if you aren't blitzing much as previously,
- 17:12Speaker 14: and how do you guys get more pressure with kind
- 17:15Speaker 14: of the send-for approach.
- 17:17Speaker 13: That you guys might have?
- 17:18Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm not sure what was said on the broadcast.
- 17:21Speaker 9: Their defensive philosophy hasn't changed. It's the same defense we
- 17:24Speaker 9: ran last year. We need people to drop back and
- 17:28Speaker 9: throw the ball. They had five drop-back passes on Saturday.
- 17:31Speaker 9: I think they had five the week before. We're not
- 17:34Speaker 9: seeing a lot of drop-back pass. That makes it really challenging.
- 17:37Speaker 9: A lot of it was seven-man protection. When it's seven-man protection,
- 17:40Speaker 9: we've got to cover better. I think when it's seven-man protection,
- 17:43Speaker 9: you've got to give those guys more time. They're not
- 17:44Speaker 9: going to get there seven on four or seven on five.
- 17:47Speaker 9: as fast as you would like them to.
- 17:50Speaker 15: We'll go to the last second row, Alex. I wanted
- 17:53Speaker 15: to first ask just any updates on Ashton, KJ, and Jamarian.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Yeah, too early in the week. We'll figure that out
- 17:59Speaker 6: on Wednesday with the injury report. Gotcha.
- 18:01Speaker 15: And just what's kind of Binyon's approach to running the ball, Marcel,
- 18:05Speaker 15: just incorporating him in the run game, and how you
- 18:08Speaker 15: feel like that's gone, and if there's anything that can
- 18:10Speaker 15: change with him in the run game?
- 18:12Speaker 9: Yeah, I think that's always a piece of it. I
- 18:16Speaker 9: think you're always walking the fine line of health and
- 18:19Speaker 9: fitness effectiveness. And then you also have to, in order
- 18:24Speaker 9: for him to be able to run the ball, people
- 18:25Speaker 9: have to be able to create opportunities for him. He's not,
- 18:29Speaker 9: over his time here, he's not a guy who you
- 18:32Speaker 9: design a lot of quarterback runs like you've seen from
- 18:36Speaker 9: some of the 225, 230-pound quarterbacks over the years. He's
- 18:40Speaker 9: a guy that gets on the edge and gets around
- 18:41Speaker 9: and gets loose. And some teams allow him that opportunity
- 18:45Speaker 9: and some teams take that away from him.
- 18:47Speaker 6: And I think that's really more what it plays into.
- 18:51Speaker 10: We'll go to the front right, Travis.
- 18:53Speaker 16: Yeah, just as you've kind of gone back in the film,
- 18:56Speaker 16: have you assessed how the offensive line has grown over
- 18:59Speaker 16: the three weeks?
- 19:01Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, it's hard to, you know. You don't
- 19:04Speaker 9: want to say things are moving in a good direction
- 19:06Speaker 9: coming off of Saturday, but I do think that we
- 19:09Speaker 9: have seen progress from that group from week one to
- 19:12Speaker 9: week two to week three.
- 19:13Speaker 6: I do. I think there were.
- 19:14Speaker 9: Running lanes there that were bigger than they were the
- 19:17Speaker 9: week before. I do think we did a good job
- 19:19Speaker 9: protecting Marcel with all of the times that we stood
- 19:21Speaker 9: in the pocket and had to throw over the duration
- 19:23Speaker 9: of that game. I thought the pockets were clean for
- 19:25Speaker 9: the most part, and so I do think progress is
- 19:29Speaker 9: being made. Again, I'm also aware of where we are,
- 19:31Speaker 9: and so it's hard to talk a lot about positives.
- 19:34Speaker 16: And on the defensive side, when you look at what
- 19:37Speaker 16: happened in the passing defense and rushing defense, is there
- 19:40Speaker 16: one that you feel like is more concerning? Are they
- 19:43Speaker 16: both things that are fundamental, more easily fixed week to week?
- 19:48Speaker 6: No, I mean, we have a lot of pride in
- 19:49Speaker 6: how we play. defense here. And, you know, I think
- 19:54Speaker 6: we will rise to the challenge.
- 19:56Speaker 10: We'll go to the third row on the right, Landon.
- 19:59Speaker 17: Howdy, Coach.
- 20:00Speaker 18: You mentioned on Saturday that You guys had a lot
- 20:02Speaker 18: of struggles with having your eyes in the wrong position.
- 20:04Speaker 18: I'm curious, is that something that you guys are mostly
- 20:06Speaker 18: looking to fix while you're in film study? Or are
- 20:09Speaker 18: there certain things in practice that you guys can do
- 20:10Speaker 18: to help you guys prepare that better as well?
- 20:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I think you're doing it on every level. I
- 20:14Speaker 6: think you're doing it in film study. You're doing it
- 20:16Speaker 6: in walkthroughs. You're doing it in practice. You know, I think.
- 20:20Speaker 9: one of the challenges in the early part of the season.
- 20:23Speaker 9: And I do think you see this across the country. Again,
- 20:25Speaker 9: I'm not making any excuses or turning away from what happened, but, um,
- 20:30Speaker 9: you know, you spend so much time going against your
- 20:33Speaker 9: own offense.
- 20:34Speaker 6: Um, and then every offense has a different.
- 20:36Speaker 9: Layer and different multiplicity to it that creates stress and dilemmas.
- 20:41Speaker 9: And I think, um, you know, again, I think you
- 20:44Speaker 9: see it across the country early in the years that, um,
- 20:47Speaker 9: and defenses are a little bit behind. And so, again,
- 20:51Speaker 9: that's not meant to be an excuse, but I do
- 20:54Speaker 9: think there's a little bit to that.
- 20:55Speaker 6: And so we've got to catch up, and we've got
- 20:56Speaker 6: to catch up quick.
- 20:58Speaker 10: We'll go to the second row on the right, Olin.
- 21:02Speaker 19: Yeah, Mike, when you see Sam Levitt and break him down,
- 21:08Speaker 19: what stands out, and does he remind you in any
- 21:11Speaker 19: way of Marcel? Do you see them being of similar
- 21:13Speaker 19: skill sets?
- 21:14Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:15Speaker 9: No, I think they're completely different quarterbacks. I think what
- 21:19Speaker 9: I see in Sam is an ultra-competitive kid. He's got
- 21:25Speaker 9: an ability to hurt you with his legs, but maybe
- 21:28Speaker 9: in a different type of way.
- 21:31Speaker 6: He's a fast kid. He's escapable, but he.
- 21:34Speaker 9: Will throw his body around fast. he doesn't back down
- 21:38Speaker 9: from contact at all. Um, I just think he's, uh, yeah,
- 21:42Speaker 9: he's a supremely competitive kid. Um, that's what I see
- 21:45Speaker 9: when I watch him.
- 21:46Speaker 19: Uh, I want to give you an opportunity to clarify
- 21:49Speaker 19: some postgame comments the other day. You said everybody's quitting
- 21:52Speaker 19: on you. Um, uh, I said, what you said, everybody's
- 21:56Speaker 19: going to quit on us.
- 21:57Speaker 6: Where did I say that?
- 21:58Speaker 19: You said that after the game at the three minutes
- 22:01Speaker 19: into your conference, uh, postgame.
- 22:03Speaker 6: Postgame locker room conversation.
- 22:05Speaker 19: In the press conference here, uh, On Saturday, you were asking.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Can you give me the quote? I'm not trying to
- 22:13Speaker 6: be difficult, OB. I really don't. I have no recollection.
- 22:15Speaker 19: Everybody will quit on us. That's how this thing works.
- 22:19Speaker 19: It's never been about everybody. It's only been about the
- 22:23Speaker 19: people inside the locker room.
- 22:24Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, probably about the noise, the noise that comes
- 22:27Speaker 9: out in and around the program when you lose a
- 22:29Speaker 9: game like that and wanting to make sure that we
- 22:32Speaker 9: stay internal in our thought processes and try to get better.
- 22:36Speaker 9: Certainly didn't mean to anybody to try to take offense
- 22:39Speaker 9: from that, but I think it's the nature of the
- 22:42Speaker 9: way the world works today. When things go well, everything's good.
- 22:45Speaker 9: When things don't go well, everything's bad. And trying to
- 22:47Speaker 9: get our young kids to understand that that's not a
- 22:49Speaker 9: big piece of it. And we've got to stay internal
- 22:52Speaker 9: and stay together and stay committed to the process to
- 22:54Speaker 9: go get better.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Seriously not.
- 22:58Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, no.
- 22:59Speaker 9: I don't think I've ever taken a shot at our
- 23:01Speaker 9: fan base. I think I've been unbelievably complimentary of our
- 23:03Speaker 9: fan base every chance I get.
- 23:06Speaker 10: We'll go over to the left, second row, Tyler.
- 23:10Speaker 12: Mike, you've obviously been into Tiger Stadium and know what
- 23:12Speaker 12: that environment is like for the players that returned and
- 23:15Speaker 12: experienced last year and just a lot of your road
- 23:17Speaker 12: trips last year. How much does that help as you
- 23:21Speaker 12: prepare for what's to come this week?
- 23:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I think in some ways it does.
- 23:26Speaker 9: In some ways there's a lot of new starters again
- 23:28Speaker 9: making their first road trip and certainly a lot of
- 23:31Speaker 9: easier venues I would choose to do that in. But No,
- 23:35Speaker 9: I think you draw from a little bit of the
- 23:38Speaker 9: confidence we've had over the two years and being able
- 23:40Speaker 9: to win some games on the road in some of
- 23:41Speaker 9: these hostile environments. But certainly Saturday night is going to
- 23:44Speaker 9: be an extreme challenge for us, no doubt about it.
- 23:47Speaker 12: And then just in your past experiences, how would you
- 23:49Speaker 12: kind of evaluate going up against a Lane Kiffin offense?
- 23:53Speaker 9: I've only done it once, so I haven't had a
- 23:56Speaker 9: ton of experience going against it. And I think it's
- 23:58Speaker 9: changed dramatically from where it was back then. And so
- 24:03Speaker 9: I don't have a ton of experience against Lane.
- 24:05Speaker 10: We'll go stay on the left, fourth row, Rob.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Howdy, Coach.
- 24:09Speaker 6: Howdy. So, great to see Damian Sanford back on the field.
- 24:13Speaker 18: After kind of looking at the tape, what did you
- 24:15Speaker 18: think of– how did you evaluate his game?
- 24:17Speaker 9: Yeah, I think he's building himself back up. I think
- 24:20Speaker 9: he's getting a little bit stronger, a little bit more powerful.
- 24:23Speaker 9: I think he's able to sustain a little bit longer,
- 24:26Speaker 9: which is good. You know, obviously, again, the biggest challenge
- 24:29Speaker 9: from that injury is how long he had to be
- 24:30Speaker 9: off of it, right, and then just building the strength
- 24:32Speaker 9: and the explosiveness back up. And so– Two weeks ago,
- 24:35Speaker 9: it was good to get him out there on the
- 24:37Speaker 9: punt team. Obviously, it's a little bit less physical. You're
- 24:41Speaker 9: not taking on 300-pound linemen play after play after play.
- 24:45Speaker 9: That was a good start. Then, obviously, we were able
- 24:47Speaker 9: to get him going a little bit last week. I
- 24:48Speaker 9: thought he handled that well. We'll kind of see how
- 24:51Speaker 9: it feels coming out of it and see what the
- 24:53Speaker 9: plan looks like moving forward for this week.
- 24:55Speaker 10: We'll go back over to the right, second row. Peter.
- 24:58Speaker 13: How many times did you re-watch Saturday's game?
- 25:01Speaker 6: A lot.
- 25:01Speaker 13: Do you have an estimate number?
- 25:03Speaker 7: Nope.
- 25:04Speaker 13: How much of that was focused on Marcel?
- 25:07Speaker 6: Not any more than anybody else.
- 25:09Speaker 13: What did you see on the tape that of Marcel
- 25:11Speaker 13: that you didn't see during the game?
- 25:13Speaker 9: Again, I think with the iPads, you have a pretty
- 25:15Speaker 9: good opportunity. I think you saw him at times look
- 25:20Speaker 9: the way we want him to look, and again, that
- 25:22Speaker 9: inconsistency showed up. I think we continue to evaluate the
- 25:26Speaker 9: best way to put him in the positions for him
- 25:29Speaker 9: to be the most successful that he can be.
- 25:31Speaker 13: Does it feel like he's close to where you want
- 25:33Speaker 13: him to be, or are there more steps?
- 25:36Speaker 6: I have a lot of confidence in Marcel. I believe
- 25:39Speaker 6: in Marcel, and Marcel's our quarterback.
- 25:41Speaker 10: We'll go all the way to the back left, Nick.
- 25:44Speaker 6: Hey, Mike.
- 25:44Speaker 20: Just sort of piggybacking off that a little bit, actually.
- 25:46Speaker 20: I'm just wondering, after a loss like that, what are
- 25:48Speaker 20: those next 24 to 48 hours like for you as
- 25:51Speaker 20: you're trying to balance both being super analytical over what happened,
- 25:55Speaker 20: but also then quickly needing to flip and set the
- 25:58Speaker 20: mindset for another big week?
- 26:00Speaker 4: Um.
- 26:00Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, it's not the first time we've lost
- 26:02Speaker 9: a game. It certainly won't be the last. Again, that's
- 26:05Speaker 9: not dismissing it in any way, shape, or form. But
- 26:08Speaker 9: I think we are very analytical of everything that happens
- 26:11Speaker 9: every week. And so whether that's in a win over
- 26:14Speaker 9: Arizona State or a loss to Kentucky, I think you
- 26:16Speaker 9: come in and you really analyze what happened, where the
- 26:19Speaker 9: breakdowns were, what caused the breakdowns, how to try to
- 26:22Speaker 9: improve it going into the next week.
- 26:25Speaker 6: I think that's what you do as a coach. And so.
- 26:29Speaker 6: That's always the process.
- 26:30Speaker 9: And then I think you come out of that and
- 26:31Speaker 9: you've got to develop a mindset going forward into next week.
- 26:34Speaker 9: And so I don't know that those two things conflict
- 26:36Speaker 9: with each other. I think it's a process that you
- 26:39Speaker 9: go through as a coach every week.
- 26:41Speaker 20: And with that, obviously the next game is a rivalry game,
- 26:43Speaker 20: is a raucous road environment. I'm just wondering, is that
- 26:45Speaker 20: something you guys are going to talk about and sort
- 26:47Speaker 20: of relish the opportunity that you do have the chance
- 26:49Speaker 20: for a signature win after last week?
- 26:52Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't think we're going to focus on last
- 26:54Speaker 6: week much more.
- 26:54Speaker 9: I think we know we have an opportunity in front
- 26:56Speaker 9: of us and I think we're excited for the challenge.
- 27:00Speaker 10: We'll go back over to the front right. Travis?
- 27:02Speaker 16: Yeah, just curious how many interactions, what your interactions are
- 27:06Speaker 16: with Lane and just the kind of relationship you all
- 27:09Speaker 16: have when you all are in meetings or whatnot.
- 27:11Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, I don't really know him that well. Obviously,
- 27:14Speaker 9: we interact at head coaches' meetings, and those are all positive.
- 27:18Speaker 9: I got a lot of respect for Lane. I think
- 27:19Speaker 9: he's a really good football coach. I think he does
- 27:21Speaker 9: a really good job. I think he did a phenomenal
- 27:23Speaker 9: job at Ole Miss, and I'm sure he'll do a
- 27:25Speaker 9: really good job at LSU.
- 27:27Speaker 10: We'll go over to the left.
- 27:28Speaker 7: Cease.
- 27:30Speaker 21: So Mike, when you look at LSU, are they basically
- 27:32Speaker 21: a spread offense and now do you expect to see
- 27:34Speaker 21: more max protection going into games since maybe you had
- 27:39Speaker 21: some problems on it? You mentioned that college football seems
- 27:42Speaker 21: to be going that way because you guys are so
- 27:45Speaker 21: good rushing the quarterback.
- 27:46Speaker 9: No, I think, you know, again, we went through this
- 27:49Speaker 9: last year, too, in the beginning of the year, if
- 27:50Speaker 9: you remember. In the beginning of the year last year,
- 27:52Speaker 9: we had a hard time generating pass rush. And then
- 27:54Speaker 9: when we got into SEC play, people kind of stuck
- 27:59Speaker 9: more to their offense. And I think we were able
- 28:01Speaker 9: to play football a little bit differently. And so, you know,
- 28:04Speaker 9: they're going to have a lot of confidence in who
- 28:06Speaker 9: they are and what their system is.
- 28:07Speaker 6: And I'm sure that's what they'll use on Saturday night.
- 28:11Speaker 10: We'll go back over to Alex, second row.
- 28:14Speaker 15: Mario had like 19 targets in the game. Was there
- 28:17Speaker 15: a concerted effort to try and get him the ball
- 28:19Speaker 15: more in that game?
- 28:20Speaker 6: Yeah, I think so.
- 28:21Speaker 9: I think obviously we felt like the week before we
- 28:23Speaker 9: weren't able to get it to him as much as we.
- 28:25Speaker 6: Would have liked.
- 28:26Speaker 9: I think some of the way they were playing coverage
- 28:29Speaker 9: created a few more opportunities for him too. I think
- 28:33Speaker 9: they were a little bit, there was a lot of
- 28:34Speaker 9: under-over coverage on Isaiah, which made it a little bit
- 28:37Speaker 9: more challenging to get it to him and I think
- 28:39Speaker 9: created some more opportunities to get it to Mario.
- 28:41Speaker 6: And then obviously with.
- 28:42Speaker 9: Terry down, you know, that probably probably loaded the targets
- 28:47Speaker 9: a little bit more that.
- 28:48Speaker 6: Way, too.
- 28:48Speaker 7: All right.
- 28:49Speaker 4: That's Coach Elko.
- 28:51Speaker 1: You and we carried that live like we do most
- 28:56Speaker 1: of the time here on the zone.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Producers Cooperative, they're closing up.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Here in a minute, but they are open all day tomorrow,

- 30:54Speaker 24: And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know

- 31:13Speaker 24: Antone When I was just a baby, my mama told me, son,
- 31:21Speaker 24: always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns.
- 31:25Speaker 24: But I shot a man in Reno just to watch
- 31:30Speaker 24: him die. When I hear that whistle blowing, I hang
- 31:38Speaker 24: my head and cry.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Mallory is brought to us by.
- 31:51Speaker 5: Southwest Card World, at least today.
- 31:54Speaker 7: At least for now.
- 31:57Speaker 1: At least for now. Man, I've got some bummer stories.
- 32:04Speaker 1: We're going to get these out of the.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Way first, can we?
- 32:08Speaker 7: Might as well. Why not?
- 32:09Speaker 4: And then we'll get on to the Royals. Some happy news. Well,
- 32:13Speaker 4: not really.
- 32:13Speaker 7: Okay. Okay.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Hayden Panettiere's official cause of death has been revealed.
- 32:23Speaker 4: She died August 16th.
- 32:25Speaker 1: She was just 36 in South Carolina. Today, the Greenville
- 32:30Speaker 1: County Coroner's Office confirmed her death has been ruled as
- 32:34Speaker 1: toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methacarbonyl, Quiet, Teopine. The
- 32:49Speaker 1: manner of death has ruled accidental. On August 16, 2026,
- 32:56Speaker 1: at approximately 1.51 p.m., a 911 call was received regarding
- 33:01Speaker 1: a reported cardiac arrest at 701 Easley Bridge Road in Greenville.
- 33:07Speaker 1: First responders and emergency medical services arrived on the scene,
- 33:11Speaker 1: located a female in cardiac arrest. EMS personnel initiated advanced
- 33:15Speaker 1: cardiac life support measures. However, resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful. The
- 33:21Speaker 1: individual was pronounced deceased at 2.32 p.m. The Greenville County
- 33:27Speaker 1: Coroner's Office responded to the scene, initiated a parallel investigation
- 33:31Speaker 1: with the Greenville City Police Department. The decedent has been
- 33:35Speaker 1: identified as Hayden Leslie Panettiere, 36, of California. She was
- 33:41Speaker 1: found unresponsive inside the residence where she had been temporarily staying.
- 33:45Speaker 1: An autopsy was completed by a board-certified forensic pathologist. An
- 33:52Speaker 1: autopsy showed no signs of trauma were discovered that would
- 33:57Speaker 1: have contributed to her death.
- 34:01Speaker 4: So there you go. Drugs. We knew that.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Right?
- 34:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 4: This is just a confirmation. That's a lot of stuff
- 34:09Speaker 4: in your system. It's sad.
- 34:12Speaker 6: That is a lot.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Very sad.
- 34:14Speaker 7: And I think, I mean, I don't know. Didn't they
- 34:18Speaker 7: arrest the drug, her drug dealer or anything? No.
- 34:21Speaker 4: Her drug dealing boyfriend. That guy.
- 34:26Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:28Speaker 7: What a mess.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Then there is the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford.
- 34:35Speaker 7: That's right.
- 34:37Speaker 4: And her husband, Randy.
- 34:40Speaker 1: He died over the weekend at 27. Presley Gerber was
- 34:48Speaker 1: at a rehab facility, according to L.A. County Medical Records.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Crawford's publicist confirms his death, saying the family is asking
- 34:59Speaker 1: for privacy during this difficult and painful time. An autopsy
- 35:03Speaker 1: pending completion. The cause and manner of death has not
- 35:08Speaker 1: been released. Presley Gerber was the older brother of Kaya Gerber,
- 35:14Speaker 1: model and actress. Built his own career as a runway
- 35:21Speaker 1: star model. But apparently had just entered a rehab facility.
- 35:32Speaker 1: And was apparently under the influence when he entered the
- 35:39Speaker 1: rehab facility.
- 35:41Speaker 7: I feel like that detail is not that uncommon, I guess.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Right.
- 35:48Speaker 7: Unfortunately.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Right.
- 35:49Speaker 6: But.
- 35:51Speaker 1: But it seems like if you enter a rehab facility
- 35:56Speaker 1: under the influence so much that you die, they probably
- 36:02Speaker 1: should have called authorities sooner.
- 36:05Speaker 7: A little sooner.
- 36:07Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 36:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:08Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know.
- 36:09Speaker 1: About all this stuff, but that's just a guess. A
- 36:12Speaker 1: total guess on my part.
- 36:15Speaker 7: You would think their specialty would be.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Yeah, knowing that someone is under the influence and is
- 36:21Speaker 1: in bad shape, right?
- 36:23Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Do they not see that every day?
- 36:27Speaker 7: Right? You would think so, but.
- 36:29Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 36:30Speaker 7: I mean, I digress.
- 36:32Speaker 4: You digress.
- 36:32Speaker 6: What can we do?
- 36:33Speaker 5: Okay, let's wash our ears out with the Royals.
- 36:38Speaker 7: Yes, let's do it. Oh, Harry.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Harry, Harry.
- 36:43Speaker 7: Oh, Harry, he may have another royal documentary up his sleeve.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Good for him.
- 36:48Speaker 7: Apparently he's discussing a number of possible projects to commemorate.
- 36:53Speaker 7: I can never say this word.
- 36:54Speaker 4: Commemorate?
- 37:01Speaker 7: It's so stupid. I'm sorry.
- 37:03Speaker 10: Okay.
- 37:04Speaker 7: The 30th anniversary of his mother, Princess Diana's death. That's
- 37:08Speaker 7: not stupid.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Don't you think Charles.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Is going to be very unhappy with anything having to
- 37:15Speaker 1: do with Princess Diana?
- 37:18Speaker 7: Oh, but he can't show it. I mean, I'm sure,
- 37:22Speaker 7: if not him, Camilla, but he can't show it because, man,
- 37:25Speaker 7: if anyone.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Because Princess Di was loved in England.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Not by Charles.
- 37:32Speaker 7: She was.
- 37:32Speaker 4: Not by Charles, but she was loved in England.
- 37:38Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 37:38Speaker 7: That's why so many people dislike Camilla because, you know,
- 37:43Speaker 7: womp womp.
- 37:43Speaker 4: That tramp.
- 37:44Speaker 10: Anyways.
- 37:44Speaker 7: Anyways. Oh, my God.
- 37:48Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 37:49Speaker 5: That just came out.
- 37:54Speaker 7: Anyways, it's the anniversary of his mother, Princess Diana's.
- 37:57Speaker 5: Death next year.
- 37:59Speaker 4: A homely looking tramp at that. Sorry.
- 38:02Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 38:02Speaker 1: All my feelings are coming out.
- 38:06Speaker 7: We're not talking about her anymore.
- 38:06Speaker 5: We're talking about Diana. Let's talk about Diana.
- 38:09Speaker 6: Hmm.
- 38:10Speaker 7: Let her have her moment.
- 38:11Speaker 4: Yes.
- 38:12Speaker 7: Which is weighing the most meaningful way to, so he's weighing,
- 38:15Speaker 7: he's still weighing the most meaningful way to, you know,
- 38:18Speaker 7: basically honor her legacy. Among the ideas to mark the
- 38:21Speaker 7: milestone is the possibility of making a documentary. The documentary
- 38:26Speaker 7: is expected to be bought by Netflix, of course.
- 38:29Speaker 4: They have all the money.
- 38:31Speaker 5: Yeah, they got all that.
- 38:33Speaker 7: He did move back to Britain last month after six
- 38:35Speaker 7: years overseas.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Yes, he did.
- 38:37Speaker 7: It is no stranger. to talking in front of cameras.
- 38:41Speaker 7: So shortly after him and his wife did step away
- 38:44Speaker 7: from their senior roles as working royals in 2020.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Okay, that's an oxymoron.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Working royals is an oxymoron, but that's okay.
- 38:55Speaker 5: That's okay.
- 38:56Speaker 7: No, they work real hard on their walkabouts.
- 39:00Speaker 4: They did do walkabouts. I'll give you that. They did
- 39:02Speaker 4: do walkabouts.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:04Speaker 7: They use their own feats and they have to pretend
- 39:06Speaker 7: to smile.
- 39:08Speaker 6: True.
- 39:08Speaker 5: That's not easy.
- 39:09Speaker 4: That's not easy.
- 39:10Speaker 7: That's a lot of face muscles.
- 39:12Speaker 4: Yes, you're right.
- 39:13Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 39:13Speaker 4: You're right. You're right.
- 39:16Speaker 7: But anyways, so there is that. There was obviously a
- 39:20Speaker 7: lot of controversy with this documentary from Netflix in 2022,
- 39:25Speaker 7: yeah which was titled hegan um harry and megan and
- 39:28Speaker 7: they explored the early days of their relationships plus the
- 39:31Speaker 7: you know their exit basically but because we don't have
- 39:35Speaker 7: enough we need more royal news you know there's never
- 39:38Speaker 7: enough let's talk more um Turns out Meghan is settling
- 39:44Speaker 7: in life back in Great Britain with some familiar faces.
- 39:48Speaker 4: By her side.
- 39:49Speaker 1: I was afraid she wasn't going to settle in.
- 39:52Speaker 7: Well, no worries. She is. Good. And she's apparently had
- 39:57Speaker 7: an afternoon outing at a pub with Ellen DeGeneres and
- 40:00Speaker 7: Portia de Rossi.
- 40:01Speaker 4: No way.
- 40:01Speaker 6: Rossi.
- 40:02Speaker 7: No way.
- 40:02Speaker 5: Is that right?
- 40:04Speaker 7: Yep. At the Three Horseshoes, an 18th century pub near Buford, Oxfordshire.
- 40:11Speaker 7: At 2 p.m. local time.
- 40:12Speaker 5: So they were doing happy hour at 2 o'clock.
- 40:17Speaker 7: Yep, they were. The outing came as Meghan's husband, Harry,
- 40:21Speaker 7: as we know, stepped out in London for the Well
- 40:24Speaker 7: Child Awards. His latest public appearance since the couple did
- 40:27Speaker 7: move back to Britain with their children, Archie and Lily.
- 40:30Speaker 5: I bet this Charles are just fit to be tied,
- 40:32Speaker 5: don't you?
- 40:33Speaker 7: I mean, of course.
- 40:35Speaker 6: Yes.
- 40:38Speaker 7: He's so mad they're back over there.
- 40:40Speaker 5: Hey, I got a question.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Why wasn't Meghan with Harry at this Wellchild Awards?
- 40:47Speaker 7: Well, you know, I don't know.
- 40:50Speaker 6: She was too.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Busy knocking back pints with Ellen and Portia.
- 40:55Speaker 7: Well, she has yet to attend an official public event.
- 40:59Speaker 5: That's probably for the best.
- 41:02Speaker 4: She's not liked. She ain't liked like Diana was, right?
- 41:06Speaker 5: No, she will.
- 41:07Speaker 7: Never be a Diana. No. In the days after arriving
- 41:11Speaker 7: in Britain, Meghan and Harry were also spotted together at
- 41:13Speaker 7: a Soho farmhouse in Oxfordshire. Of course they were.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Oh, yes.
- 41:18Speaker 7: So there's that. They are. They have been a longtime
- 41:22Speaker 7: friends with Ellen and Portia, who are neighbors of the couple.
- 41:28Speaker 7: So there you go.
- 41:30Speaker 1: OK.
- 41:30Speaker 7: Their friendship now stretches across both sides of the Atlantic.
- 41:33Speaker 7: As we know, Ellen and them did move away.
- 41:35Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't remember that.
- 41:38Speaker 7: Well, yeah, they moved away after Donald Trump became president again.
- 41:42Speaker 5: I hope they stay here.
- 41:45Speaker 7: Well, apparently they're living the dream. And now they have
- 41:48Speaker 7: Megan as a neighbor.
- 41:50Speaker 5: And they're all living happily ever after. That's just so beautiful.
- 41:56Speaker 7: And that is a wrap on our Royal Update.
- 41:59Speaker 5: That tired me out.
- 42:03Speaker 1: TMZ is reporting that Dolly traveled to Germany for an
- 42:07Speaker 1: experimental cancer treatment about a year before her death. Sources
- 42:12Speaker 1: say Dolly privately battled cancer during the final year of
- 42:16Speaker 1: her life and sought treatment overseas, flew to Frankfurt on
- 42:21Speaker 1: a private jet for the treatment. It's unclear what was involved.
- 42:27Speaker 1: She remained in Germany about a week before coming home.
- 42:31Speaker 1: She believed the treatment helped restore her strength and felt
- 42:36Speaker 1: that it had been effective. Um, Of course, it was
- 42:40Speaker 1: reported that after a brief battle with cancer, she had died.
- 42:45Speaker 1: So it depends what your definition of brief is. I
- 42:48Speaker 1: don't consider a year, you know, brief.
- 42:52Speaker 4: No, not at all. Yeah.
- 42:57Speaker 7: Yeah, that's a hard year. That's a long year.
- 42:59Speaker 4: Yeah, that is a long year.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Meanwhile, you knew this was going to happen and it
- 43:05Speaker 1: didn't take long. Dolly's nephew, Brian Seaver, has been fired
- 43:11Speaker 1: from providing security for his aunt's properties.
- 43:16Speaker 4: He was head of security.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Remember, he's the one that announced her death on September, right?
- 43:26Speaker 1: Last month and received a termination notice last Wednesday. stating
- 43:33Speaker 1: he and his companies were immediately dismissed. The letter reportedly
- 43:39Speaker 1: said Dolly's properties and business matters are controlled.
- 43:43Speaker 4: By the DP Dean Trust.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Clarified that Seaver's personal interest in the trust remains the same.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Replacement guards have already taken over her Nashville.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Homes, museum, and warehouse.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Seaver addressed the situation in a statement to TMZ saying
- 44:09Speaker 1: he and his teams were dismayed by the unexpected and
- 44:14Speaker 1: so far unexplained actions. taken by the singer's longtime manager,
- 44:22Speaker 1: Danny Nozell and Pinnacle Bank, who oversees the trust. The
- 44:27Speaker 1: statement said they are overwhelmed by the outpouring of Parton's,
- 44:34Speaker 1: a love for Parton's legacy. We remain unshakably resolved to
- 44:38Speaker 1: fulfill her final directive to protect her family. We refuse
- 44:42Speaker 1: to be intimidated by those actions we believe are being
- 44:47Speaker 1: taken in bad faith. and with the intent to profit
- 44:50Speaker 1: from the life of someone who willingly gave so much.
- 44:53Speaker 4: So the battle is on.
- 44:57Speaker 1: And by the time they're done, the lawyers will be rich,
- 45:00Speaker 1: and there won't.
- 45:01Speaker 4: Be much left of Dolly's estate. Just saying. We've seen
- 45:07Speaker 4: this before. Have we not?
- 45:09Speaker 7: Yeah. Oh, we have.
- 45:11Speaker 4: Yep.
- 45:12Speaker 25: And I suspect, I suspect, Dolly had, and I'm just thinking,
- 45:21Speaker 25: Dolly had everything organized and it's pretty clear where she
- 45:26Speaker 25: wanted her money to go.
- 45:28Speaker 6: Probably.
- 45:29Speaker 7: I would assume so.
- 45:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:31Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 45:32Speaker 4: So the battle has been joined.
- 45:38Speaker 6: Sad.
- 45:38Speaker 7: It's sad that it's already come to this.
- 45:40Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 45:41Speaker 4: Not surprising.
- 45:43Speaker 7: I mean, we should just move on to some more
- 45:45Speaker 7: sad news.
- 45:45Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 45:46Speaker 7: Or just, you know, air news. Carrot Top, who is
- 45:50Speaker 7: a name I haven't.
- 45:51Speaker 5: Said in a very long time.
- 45:51Speaker 4: We haven't talked about the Top in a while.
- 45:54Speaker 7: No, he was handed a $ 2 billion demand just days
- 45:58Speaker 7: before his attempted suicide. And within hours, his lawyers were
- 46:02Speaker 7: telling the court the comedian was being extorted.
- 46:06Speaker 4: Did we know that.
- 46:08Speaker 5: Carrot Top had a suicide attempt? I don't think we
- 46:11Speaker 5: actually said that yet. Did I miss this?
- 46:13Speaker 2: But yes, he did.
- 46:14Speaker 7: I think it happened late last week.
- 46:16Speaker 5: I must have been out of the country.
- 46:18Speaker 7: If I had to guess, which I might say it here, honestly.
- 46:21Speaker 4: Okay.
- 46:21Speaker 7: So he, apparently, there was a pair of emails laying
- 46:24Speaker 7: out the heated legal battle that unfolded last Monday, four
- 46:27Speaker 7: days before Carrot Top was hospitalized. So it was, again,
- 46:30Speaker 7: late last week.
- 46:31Speaker 6: Okay.
- 46:32Speaker 7: And the first message, Brian Evans said, whom Carrot Top's
- 46:35Speaker 7: team has accused of extortion, proposed a $ 2 million deal
- 46:40Speaker 7: in the legal fight involving himself, Carrot Top, whose real
- 46:43Speaker 7: name is Scott Thompson, and several others. He said everyone
- 46:47Speaker 7: would drop their claims and keep the deal private, and
- 46:51Speaker 7: he even gave Carrot Top's team until Wednesday to accept.
- 46:56Speaker 7: Hours later, Carrot Top's attorney emailed an assistant for Florida
- 47:04Speaker 7: judge Shari, I can't even pretend like I'm going to
- 47:07Speaker 7: be able to say that last name. Accusing Evans of
- 47:10Speaker 7: waging a campaign of extortion. The attorney claimed Evans was
- 47:13Speaker 7: demanding millions or else he would file false, malicious, and
- 47:18Speaker 7: indecent materials in the court record for the press to
- 47:24Speaker 7: pick up. He asked the court for immediate emergency relief,
- 47:27Speaker 7: accusing Evans of using extortion and blackmail to basically... Oh.
- 47:32Speaker 6: Poor Tom.
- 47:33Speaker 7: Poor Tom. Yeah. And so from what I've heard, just
- 47:36Speaker 7: because just a backpedal on that.
- 47:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:38Speaker 7: So, yes, he did attempt suicide. I believe it was
- 47:42Speaker 7: on Friday. And I think he is awake now.
- 47:46Speaker 4: Do you know, I.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Heard today our friend Brian told me the top is
- 47:52Speaker 1: worth upwards of 70 million dollars.
- 47:57Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm always confused by that, though.
- 48:00Speaker 4: Me too.
- 48:00Speaker 7: What does he do? I mean, good for you, but.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Yeah, apparently he has been very good with his money and.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Has made some wise business decisions.
- 48:16Speaker 1: And, you know, he's been in residency in Vegas for
- 48:19Speaker 1: like 20-something years. And that generally pays pretty well, even
- 48:25Speaker 1: if you're carrot top.
- 48:27Speaker 7: Jeez.
- 48:28Speaker 5: So I was surprised by that, but Hey.
- 48:31Speaker 7: I'm always surprised by his age too, which I know
- 48:33Speaker 7: it doesn't say his age, but I think he's, he's older. Yeah.
- 48:38Speaker 7: I think he's like 60 or something.
- 48:40Speaker 4: I could be wrong.
- 48:41Speaker 5: Let me tell you something. No, I just want this clear.
- 48:44Speaker 4: Okay.
- 48:45Speaker 5: When I 60 is not, I said that.
- 48:48Speaker 7: Okay. Okay. That's not what I meant. Let me be clear.
- 48:52Speaker 4: Let me just want to be clear about that.
- 48:54Speaker 7: 60 is young.
- 48:56Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 48:56Speaker 6: Still.
- 48:57Speaker 4: You're welcome. How about this story?
- 49:00Speaker 7: Please don't come after me.
- 49:02Speaker 1: You know, there's a new American Horror Story coming out
- 49:06Speaker 1: next week on FX.
- 49:07Speaker 26: I did.
- 49:08Speaker 7: I saw that.
- 49:09Speaker 4: And you know who's in it?
- 49:13Speaker 7: A lot of people are back.
- 49:14Speaker 1: Jessica Lange is going to play up to five characters.
- 49:21Speaker 1: But she had one condition for Ryan Murphy, the creator,
- 49:24Speaker 1: before agreeing to return to the hit anthology series that
- 49:30Speaker 1: started in 2011.
- 49:32Speaker 4: Despite what Murphy said in a recent interview.
- 49:36Speaker 1: About the 77-year-old requiring a musical number as part of
- 49:41Speaker 1: her return, Lang told Regis and Kelly, I guess it's
- 49:47Speaker 1: Kelly and Mark, that she only agreed to come back
- 49:51Speaker 1: if she got the opportunity to play all four characters
- 49:55Speaker 1: she previously led the series with. Said Lang, who I love,
- 50:01Speaker 1: by the way. I love me some Jessica Lang. Ryan
- 50:04Speaker 1: Murphy talked me into coming back she said. First, he
- 50:08Speaker 1: talked to me about playing season one's character Constance, which
- 50:12Speaker 1: I think was his favorite one that I did. I
- 50:15Speaker 1: said I will come back if I can do all
- 50:19Speaker 1: four characters. The nun, said Mark, who played Spivey opposite
- 50:25Speaker 1: Lang on five episodes of season two, Yes, from our season, yes.
- 50:31Speaker 5: But not in the habit. She's in the latter part
- 50:34Speaker 5: of the season.
- 50:35Speaker 1: She's institutionalized herself when she's a patient there. Lang played
- 50:41Speaker 1: the aforementioned Constance and sister Jude Martin on seasons one
- 50:45Speaker 1: and two before returning as the powerful witch Fiona on
- 50:51Speaker 1: 2013's Coven. The circus leader Elsa Mars in 2014's Freak Show.
- 50:58Speaker 1: The final installment that Lang led before she returned to
- 51:02Speaker 1: the guests in 2018 in Apocalypse. Of the current season,
- 51:09Speaker 1: Jessica says everybody is a returning character pretty much. She
- 51:14Speaker 1: said it was great because I like all four of
- 51:16Speaker 1: those characters. It was fun to play them. And coming back,
- 51:20Speaker 1: it was great to do them again. I had to
- 51:23Speaker 1: turn off one of those American Horror Stories one year.
- 51:26Speaker 4: It was just too creepy for me.
- 51:28Speaker 7: I don't know which one it was. I mean, they're
- 51:30Speaker 7: all creepy. Oh, my gosh.
- 51:32Speaker 5: It was a creep show. It was a creep fest.
- 51:35Speaker 4: I just couldn't take it.
- 51:38Speaker 7: I think I watched all the way to Roanoke. Roanoke
- 51:42Speaker 7: was creepy. Freak show.
- 51:45Speaker 4: Freak show was creepy.
- 51:47Speaker 7: Freak show was, yes. But, I mean, what did you expect?
- 51:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I know.
- 51:52Speaker 7: I know.
- 51:53Speaker 4: It's American Horror Story.
- 51:57Speaker 7: The first season will always be my favorite.
- 51:59Speaker 5: Oh, I love that first season.
- 52:01Speaker 7: Yeah, which I think is always obvious with.
- 52:02Speaker 4: A lot of seasons.
- 52:03Speaker 7: No, you're right.
- 52:04Speaker 5: You're right.
- 52:06Speaker 4: I'll give it a shot. I'll give it a shot. Okay,
- 52:09Speaker 4: let's do birthdays.
- 52:10Speaker 7: All right.

- 52:27Speaker 1: Gunner and Matthew Nelson turned 59 on Sunday.
- 52:31Speaker 4: That's Rick Nelson's twins. Let's see. Anything else Sunday that
- 52:39Speaker 4: I need? Not that one. I don't need that one.
- 52:43Speaker 4: I don't need that one.
- 52:45Speaker 1: All right, let's do yesterday. Fanny Flagg turned 85 yesterday.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Jerry Bruckheimer, who would hurt himself if he fell off

- 53:06Speaker 1: King turned 79 yesterday. Bill Murray, who we haven't seen

- 53:18Speaker 1: Cohen brothers turned 69 yesterday. Rob Morrow, friend of the
- 53:24Speaker 1: show from Northern Exposure and Numbers, turned 64 yesterday. Cheryl Hines,
- 53:30Speaker 1: curb your enthusiasm, 61 yesterday. Faith Hill, Turned 59 yesterday.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Faith Hill looks really good for 59. I got to

- 53:50Speaker 1: 55 yesterday. Nicole Richie turned 45 yesterday.
- 53:56Speaker 4: And that's enough. How about today? What do we have today?
- 54:02Speaker 7: Well, I will say one.
- 54:04Speaker 4: Okay.
- 54:05Speaker 7: That I recognize.
- 54:05Speaker 4: Okay.
- 54:07Speaker 7: Joan Jett.
- 54:08Speaker 5: No way.
- 54:09Speaker 7: Joan Jett is 68.
- 54:11Speaker 1: June Forrester, the Forrester sisters, turned 70 today. Paul Lamont,
- 54:17Speaker 1: American Graffiti, turned 81 today.
- 54:21Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh. A rapper I almost forgot about, Mystical,
- 54:25Speaker 7: is 56. No way. Yeah, turns out.

- 54:37Speaker 4: turned 66 today. Bonnie Hunt.
- 54:40Speaker 1: I really like Bonnie Hunt. I think she's a great actress.
- 54:42Speaker 1: And we haven't heard from her enough in a while.
- 54:46Speaker 4: 65 today. How about that?
- 54:48Speaker 6: Come on back, Bonnie.
- 54:49Speaker 7: Come on back.
- 54:50Speaker 5: Bonnie, do something.
- 54:51Speaker 4: I'm serious.
- 54:52Speaker 7: Come on, Bonnie.
- 54:53Speaker 4: We like you.
- 54:55Speaker 7: You're the big 6'5. Now's the time. Yeah, let's go.
- 54:57Speaker 4: Go to work.
- 55:00Speaker 5: That's it.
- 55:01Speaker 4: That's enough for today.
- 55:02Speaker 7: Yeah, today was a little bit.
- 55:03Speaker 4: It was a little sad.
- 55:07Speaker 5: Hey, we don't make the news. We just report the news.
- 55:10Speaker 7: We don't.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Don't shoot us.
