- 0:08Speaker 1: Well, I invited you here. I thought I made myself
- 0:14Speaker 1: perfectly clear. When you're a guest in my home, you
- 0:21Speaker 1: gotta come to me empty. And I said, no, guests,
- 0:27Speaker 1: you're o presences. Presence enough and I already had too
- 0:33Speaker 1: much stuff.
- 0:35Speaker 2: So how do you dare to surbey me?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Welcome to I said, no gifts. I'm richer Winnecker, not
- 0:55Speaker 3: that that's any of your business.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Uh.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Here we are, we're in the studio. What's going on.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Over the weekend, we did the live show. We had
- 1:04Speaker 3: such a wonderful time. People were so supportive of my thighs,
- 1:08Speaker 3: and we did a puzzle. If you like my thighs
- 1:12Speaker 3: or puzzles, maybe we'll do those at the next live
- 1:14Speaker 3: show as well. You never know, but I do feel
- 1:17Speaker 3: the support for my thighs, and that's all that really matters.
- 1:21Speaker 3: So that was the big event. And then I did
- 1:22Speaker 3: nothing for two days except for get scratched by a branch.
- 1:28Speaker 3: And you know, I used to really love trees. But
- 1:31Speaker 3: we should probably do a scratch reveal. You're going to
- 1:34Speaker 3: be shocked. Look at this. Look at that scratch right
- 1:40Speaker 3: in the showing place. You know, I can't cover this up.
- 1:44Speaker 3: It's too hot for a long sleeve. So I don't know.
- 1:48Speaker 3: That's basically what happened. My horoscope today told me to
- 1:52Speaker 3: break one rule this week, so maybe I'll kill my neighbor.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I don't know. We'll find something to do and Okay,
- 1:59Speaker 3: then I think that's all of my important business. And then,
- 2:02Speaker 3: of course the Patreon continues to exist Patreon dot com slash.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I said no gifts, and I think by the time
- 2:07Speaker 3: this episode comes out, I will be now covering the
- 2:11Speaker 3: Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six, and I'm
- 2:14Speaker 3: the only person who should be covering this thing. I've
- 2:17Speaker 3: been to beauty lab and laser hundreds of times for photos.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I haven't gotten any work done. I've been at the
- 2:22Speaker 3: same holiday oil as Lisa Barlow to get a diet
- 2:25Speaker 3: Doctor Pepper. I am the expert, so be prepared for that.
- 2:31Speaker 3: And I think that's everything. I'm really excited about today's guests.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Everyone loves both of them. Everyone loves them together. It's
- 2:39Speaker 3: Nicole Byer and so Sheeres Zamida. Hi, you too, Welcome
- 2:42Speaker 3: to I said new gifts. Yah, I'm so happy to
- 2:46Speaker 3: have you here. You've both been here over zoom yeah. Yes,
- 2:50Speaker 3: but now we're here in person.
- 2:51Speaker 4: I know it's nice in person things.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Yeah, Oh I feel so community being able to respond
- 3:00Speaker 3: in real time and.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I'd be like, what did you what? I'm sorry you
- 3:05Speaker 2: were lagging? Sorry is outside?
- 3:09Speaker 3: You were both kind of on the podcast in different
- 3:12Speaker 3: very high stress times in my life. So she're during
- 3:16Speaker 3: early pandemic and cold during my home flooding, and so
- 3:20Speaker 3: it's nice that the biggest thing, Well, now I've got
- 3:23Speaker 3: a scratch on my arm, and.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Then you know, comparatively not so bad, not so bad.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Well speak for yourself, but.
- 3:31Speaker 5: This could be a fun new project where you cover
- 3:33Speaker 5: it with makeup because you're freckled, so you can have
- 3:37Speaker 5: a fun time matching.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Oh my god, a whole art project. Start with like
- 3:42Speaker 3: a full uh what is it? Concealer? Yes, and then
- 3:46Speaker 3: get maybe a pencil. What's the pencil called? The like
- 3:49Speaker 3: an eyebrow pencil? Go full like dumb halloween costume? Yes?
- 3:54Speaker 3: Do you know what Halloween costume? I hate? Is when
- 3:57Speaker 3: pigtails and freckles on the face with the.
- 4:00Speaker 2: You don't like pippy long startch long who long, long
- 4:04Speaker 2: chalking long stockings long shocking shock it is.
- 4:09Speaker 3: That's probably the original pronunciation long shocking, long shocking.
- 4:12Speaker 5: The way I said it was, I was like, am
- 4:14Speaker 5: I having a stroke? Well, one of us have to
- 4:17Speaker 5: be in peril.
- 4:19Speaker 4: No long stocking, which I guess it's an interesting thing
- 4:22Speaker 4: that that's how they're describing her, Like her stockings are long,
- 4:25Speaker 4: but not her legs, Like her legs.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Are also short legs for the stockings.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Oh but they don't.
- 4:31Speaker 4: I mean the pictures that I remember in my brain,
- 4:34Speaker 4: the stockings aren't falling off of her or.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Like, they're not loose.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It's just like on her legs.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Right. Why what did they have to do with her
- 4:41Speaker 3: character at all?
- 4:42Speaker 2: I think she was a little messy.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Oh, she was messy.
- 4:45Speaker 5: I think that's what they're trying to insinuate because her
- 4:47Speaker 5: hair was like and then her stockings were so long.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I'm not super super familiar with either. I know Jenny B. Jones.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Oh, I don't even know who that ju juny be Jones.
- 5:01Speaker 5: Jones is like a sassy girl. Uh and I would
- 5:04Speaker 5: read her books. Was something to say, what does she
- 5:08Speaker 5: look like?
- 5:09Speaker 2: Messy?
- 5:10Speaker 3: They're always girls like girls are not allowed to be
- 5:14Speaker 3: a mess. I brought up Amelia Badillia to my boyfriend
- 5:16Speaker 3: this weekend. He had no idea who she was.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Dressed the turkey, and she puts clothes on it.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Dust the curtains, she puts dust all over the current.
- 5:24Speaker 3: She should have been fired day one.
- 5:26Speaker 5: I want to play Amelia Badelia is so badlysh I love.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You don't know Amelia Vigilia. I know I recognize the name,
- 5:35Speaker 2: but I don't know. She was a maid who was
- 5:37Speaker 2: so bad at her job.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Several books, yeah, several attempts to do good, and people
- 5:44Speaker 5: kept hiring.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Her the same family as far as I know, Yes,
- 5:47Speaker 3: that's I don't think she ever changed family.
- 5:51Speaker 5: And I wonder if the idea came from typhoid Mary,
- 5:55Speaker 5: because if you know about typhoid Mary, I just learned
- 5:58Speaker 5: this where she is patient zero for typhoid, but kept
- 6:02Speaker 5: cooking for different people.
- 6:04Speaker 3: She couldn't stop she doing her job. She loved her job.
- 6:08Speaker 2: She was doing it wrong.
- 6:09Speaker 4: She was just killing killing people. Yeah, make us dinner murder?
- 6:14Speaker 4: Oh do you say, make you sick?
- 6:16Speaker 3: But yeah, she was a classic Amelia Badellia type, kind
- 6:21Speaker 3: of stumbling around New York making everyone sick. Yes, yeah,
- 6:24Speaker 3: did you ever watch the Nick?
- 6:26Speaker 6: No?
- 6:26Speaker 3: Oh, who's such a good clive owen. Oh, it's a
- 6:33Speaker 3: kind of it's set in that period, but it's like
- 6:36Speaker 3: a Steven Soderberg directed TV show with like this weird
- 6:40Speaker 3: electronic soundtrack and everything about it is incredible. I think
- 6:45Speaker 3: Carry Coon is in it.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Oh see, I just okay, I'm not a person who
- 6:49Speaker 5: watches uh things from back in.
- 6:51Speaker 3: The day period pieces.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yep, I couldn't think of what they were called.
- 6:56Speaker 5: But I just started watching The Gilded Age, and boy,
- 6:58Speaker 5: oh boy, it's a fun time.
- 7:00Speaker 2: It's really fun.
- 7:02Speaker 5: I it's okay, the costumes, the sets, and then the
- 7:06Speaker 5: drama and everyone's like very catty, and Christine Baranski is
- 7:09Speaker 5: having a nice time. And then Miranda Hobbs is there
- 7:13Speaker 5: and she's a spinster and they keep Connor a spinster
- 7:16Speaker 5: and I love it.
- 7:17Speaker 2: It's I'm having a nice time watching.
- 7:19Speaker 3: How much have have you seen? Because I only know
- 7:21Speaker 3: I know of a twist, a very funny twist in it.
- 7:23Speaker 5: Uh oh, I'm in the middle. I think in episode
- 7:27Speaker 5: two of season.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Three, Okay, so you know about the French chef.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yes, it was so delightful. Oh, it's a sheer. It's
- 7:35Speaker 2: a nice time, sounds like it.
- 7:36Speaker 3: The French chef, he's got a secret.
- 7:40Speaker 2: He's got a secret.
- 7:41Speaker 3: He has an accent. He's got a big French accent,
- 7:44Speaker 3: and you're gonna find out more about that.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Uh huh okay, and everyone has secret.
- 7:50Speaker 5: It's and then there's black people and they show like
- 7:54Speaker 5: the statuses of black people within like like black culture.
- 7:57Speaker 5: And I found that to be interesting because I don't
- 7:59Speaker 5: think I've seen that, But I'll I haven't watched a
- 8:01Speaker 5: period piece, right, so I don't know if this representation
- 8:04Speaker 5: was already there.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Had you seen any Downton Abbey.
- 8:06Speaker 2: No.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I had seen the first season of that, and I
- 8:09Speaker 3: remember it's like a soap opera, so it's fun to watch,
- 8:12Speaker 3: and I imagine that's how this is.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Right, Yes, I believe the creator wrote on Downton abby
- 8:16Speaker 5: because you know, when you watch something, you're like, I.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Got to know everything.
- 8:19Speaker 3: This person's not, of course, of course, but now that
- 8:21Speaker 3: show is like the biggest thing on TV. It seems
- 8:23Speaker 3: like people love a period piece. I don't really get
- 8:26Speaker 3: into them.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I don't either. The future.
- 8:28Speaker 3: I love the future.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I space really yeah? Gravity had too much space
- 8:34Speaker 2: that movie.
- 8:36Speaker 3: I saw Gravity on my birthday. I remember twenty fourteen,
- 8:40Speaker 3: wonderful birthday. Sounds a nice birthday because you're worried about Sandy.
- 8:45Speaker 2: She's out in space? Will she come back?
- 8:47Speaker 3: Will come?
- 8:48Speaker 2: Spoiler? She does?
- 8:50Speaker 3: And does George Clooney, what happens to him in space?
- 8:53Speaker 3: Does he also fly around for the whole movie?
- 8:56Speaker 5: For whatever reason? I feel like he was in her imagination.
- 9:01Speaker 5: But I don't think that's actually see it.
- 9:02Speaker 3: I don't know you love you love her in space?
- 9:05Speaker 2: It has so much spain.
- 9:06Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 9:07Speaker 2: I'll see it.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I watch it. It's very compelling and exciting because Sandy's
- 9:11Speaker 3: floating around.
- 9:11Speaker 2: That's stressful. Will she get down? I spoiled it? Yeah,
- 9:15Speaker 2: you told me she does. I'm sorry. I don't need
- 9:17Speaker 2: to watch it.
- 9:18Speaker 5: Oh no, you should, though I think you'll like it.
- 9:21Speaker 5: But you know what, I get a little miffed about
- 9:24Speaker 5: the future.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Like, Okay, so I watched Back to the Future. None
- 9:28Speaker 2: of it happened.
- 9:29Speaker 3: I think Back to the Future kind of ruined America
- 9:33Speaker 3: because it made a bunch of men believe in the
- 9:34Speaker 3: future that couldn't happen and turned them into losers who
- 9:38Speaker 3: are bullies and annoying. I mean, I think it kind
- 9:41Speaker 3: of created Elon Musk's brain where it's like, oh cool,
- 9:45Speaker 3: stupid car that flies, just dumb shit and nostalgia, and
- 9:50Speaker 3: it's poisoned a lot of men's brains.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Well, yeah, there's like a Tesla cafe.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Now, Oh have you driven past this thing?
- 9:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's nasty to look at.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Oh, it's so ugly, just losers galore. They're stupid trucks.
- 10:04Speaker 2: They're the weirdness. And there's cyby trucks.
- 10:06Speaker 3: No, it's all these men who like kind of Back
- 10:09Speaker 3: to the Future is their bible. And God bless those movies.
- 10:12Speaker 3: They were perfectly fun, yes, but they didn't need to
- 10:15Speaker 3: poison eighty percent of heterosexual man. I really think it
- 10:19Speaker 3: ruined our generation.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I agree.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Christopher Lloyd need Is he still alive? Yes, Okay, then
- 10:25Speaker 3: he needs to take a good look at himself and
- 10:29Speaker 3: what he's done to him.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Yes, because it was solely him.
- 10:33Speaker 3: But I guess it also in a way kind of
- 10:36Speaker 3: predicted Donald Trump because the second movie the because he
- 10:41Speaker 3: becomes a president. Yeah, so it's a complicated. Robert Zemeckis
- 10:47Speaker 3: needs to take a look at himself.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I suppose should take a cold, hard look.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Yeah. I drove past that. I'm hoping it closes down soon.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Me too.
- 10:57Speaker 3: I was discussing this with somebody, like, what's going to
- 10:59Speaker 3: take over for that once it closes, because it's kind
- 11:02Speaker 3: of a shapeless, hideous building that not a lot of
- 11:05Speaker 3: companies are going to want to move into.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but hopefully somebody will like move in there and
- 11:10Speaker 2: make it a nice looking building.
- 11:12Speaker 5: I really would like us to return to a time
- 11:16Speaker 5: where we build buildings with detail and put nice things
- 11:21Speaker 5: on them.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yeah, plain, yeah, yeah, bums with the fuck out.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Yeah. There's just a lot of very simple, minimal things.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Do you know what I've had enough with is kind
- 11:30Speaker 3: of what I would describe as a sun drenched cafe,
- 11:36Speaker 3: just like a like a lot of blonde wood. Yes, yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 3: it's perfectly nice, but I've seen enough enough baring. Yeah
- 11:42Speaker 3: it's a little dull. I want so much detail that
- 11:45Speaker 3: it's hard to clean.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Oh, yes that's what I want.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of nooks and crannies, crannies. We need
- 11:52Speaker 3: to get more crannies in the culture on it or missing.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Cranny, missing cranny.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I think we're headed back in that direction. I
- 11:59Speaker 3: think people getting tired of just being like, oh, flat
- 12:02Speaker 3: walls and concrete floors.
- 12:04Speaker 5: I hope so, and I hope people start decorating their
- 12:07Speaker 5: homes weird again, Like remember that show where a lady
- 12:11Speaker 5: would come in and then she would do things to
- 12:14Speaker 5: your house and nobody ever looked happy about it.
- 12:16Speaker 3: What was that called? I think the host was in
- 12:21Speaker 3: page something. Yes, Why am I able to pull that
- 12:24Speaker 3: and no other elements?
- 12:25Speaker 5: I don't know, but I love that and I love that.
- 12:27Speaker 5: I'm like, yes, page what.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Was it called? It was one of the early.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Home in oceans trading spaces.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I think so it was just kind of a bad
- 12:36Speaker 3: title for that show.
- 12:37Speaker 5: And then is it families decorate for each other?
- 12:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 12:42Speaker 5: I just remember all the reveals. Everyone was like, no,
- 12:45Speaker 5: what if we But that's.
- 12:48Speaker 2: An inspiration to do something fun, do something.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Put carpet in the bathroom, put put it on the ceiling,
- 12:54Speaker 3: put it anywhere you like anything. Do people still carpet
- 12:57Speaker 3: their homes?
- 12:59Speaker 2: I don't think. Yes, they do in the Midwest, Okay,
- 13:02Speaker 2: they love their carpet.
- 13:05Speaker 3: It feels good on your feet, it does.
- 13:07Speaker 2: But I also think you can get a nice thick rug.
- 13:09Speaker 3: That's true, right, I think people? Yeah, And then you
- 13:13Speaker 3: don't when you want a new thing, you don't have
- 13:15Speaker 3: to rip up the floor. Yes, you just throw the
- 13:18Speaker 3: rug out right. I think that was the big lesson
- 13:21Speaker 3: we took away from carpets. It's like, well, if you
- 13:23Speaker 3: don't want carpet anymore, you now have to hire someone
- 13:25Speaker 3: to do it. I don't want to hire someone to
- 13:28Speaker 3: do it either.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Get everybody you do unless you know things.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Oh my god, yeah, I have like a loose handle
- 13:37Speaker 3: on my cabinet. I'm like, I don't know what to do,
- 13:40Speaker 3: but that one's easy. Look, who do you think you're
- 13:43Speaker 3: talking to a nice friend.
- 13:46Speaker 5: So if it's got like a it's got the little
- 13:49Speaker 5: screwing in the back, you can literally just put your
- 13:51Speaker 5: nail in it and twist the nice nails. I know.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Okay, go get a many petty and have them really
- 13:57Speaker 3: go all out. I'll be like, I'm doing my cabinets.
- 14:01Speaker 5: Yeah I need critics. I'm doing my cabinets, And I'm like, okay.
- 14:08Speaker 3: But it's easy for you to say because you're basically
- 14:10Speaker 3: a contractor.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I have looked up lots of stuff, and I technically know.
- 14:16Speaker 2: How to do a lot of stuff, Like I can
- 14:18Speaker 2: hang wallpaper. It is that's tedious.
- 14:22Speaker 5: It is a thankless tedious task that a nice man
- 14:26Speaker 5: named Wayne does for me.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Now, that's kind of how painting your house is too,
- 14:29Speaker 3: Like you can do it, but it's exhausting and so tiresome,
- 14:35Speaker 3: and you might screw it up and then you'll be
- 14:37Speaker 3: mad at yourself. Yes, I'd rather be mad at someone
- 14:39Speaker 3: that I can leave a review for. Yes.
- 14:41Speaker 5: I painted the ceiling in my office and I did
- 14:44Speaker 5: a truly just one of the worst jobs. I didn't
- 14:47Speaker 5: tape a single thing off, and I was like, oh,
- 14:49Speaker 5: I can do this, and then the man who came
- 14:51Speaker 5: to fix it was like, you did bad and then
- 14:54Speaker 5: pointed out all the spots that I did poorly, And
- 14:56Speaker 5: I was like, hey, you have the job.
- 14:58Speaker 2: You don't need to hurt. You need a lesson.
- 15:02Speaker 3: You're already here.
- 15:03Speaker 2: You're here, Please be nice. I've got a power washer.
- 15:07Speaker 3: What means do you did?
- 15:10Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:10Speaker 3: Oh I feel so left you power with these.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Power was power washing the ground.
- 15:17Speaker 5: The ground you could powerwash like you're outdoor furniture. Sure,
- 15:23Speaker 5: it's fun, and boy, you never know how dirty something is.
- 15:28Speaker 2: It's true.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Even hosing something off in the yard, you're like, oh,
- 15:31Speaker 3: this is embarrassing.
- 15:34Speaker 2: It get this way.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Yes, I did need to figure out the levels of
- 15:37Speaker 4: the power washer, because there's one that I guess makes
- 15:40Speaker 4: loopty loops, And so I was doing the ground and
- 15:43Speaker 4: it was like, now there's like all these circle squiggles
- 15:45Speaker 4: and I was.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Like, well, that's pretty funny.
- 15:47Speaker 4: I'll leave it like that for a minute. I don't
- 15:48Speaker 4: want to mess it up. But you can just do
- 15:50Speaker 4: the loopty loops just you can have a nice can't
- 15:53Speaker 4: make a design, Yeah, that'll be cool, just raw that's fun.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:57Speaker 3: What is the purpose of the loopty loop? When do
- 15:59Speaker 3: you need the loop?
- 16:00Speaker 7: No?
- 16:00Speaker 4: I don't know what, Like if it gets other dirt
- 16:04Speaker 4: in a way.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Nook and Cranny don't do that.
- 16:13Speaker 4: I don't fingering that Cranny.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Has Nicole helped you with any home projects like she
- 16:22Speaker 3: has with me?
- 16:24Speaker 4: Hmm, I mean you definitely suggested people for me, okay,
- 16:28Speaker 4: like home people. I don't know if people actually like
- 16:32Speaker 4: come over and help you.
- 16:33Speaker 2: No, But there is that spot that I want to do.
- 16:36Speaker 3: What's going on with the spot?
- 16:38Speaker 5: She's got a little spot that's uh, just loose space
- 16:42Speaker 5: and there's nothing there yet.
- 16:44Speaker 2: It's a basement like half.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Like a cell It was called a cellar when I
- 16:49Speaker 4: moved in Okay, or a flex space Alex's great use.
- 16:53Speaker 2: You can do it for whatever you want.
- 16:55Speaker 4: But yeah, it's like a weird little it's now a
- 16:56Speaker 4: storage space, right, but want.
- 16:59Speaker 2: To get my little fingis on it. I'd like to
- 17:02Speaker 2: epoxy the floor.
- 17:04Speaker 5: I'd like to paint the walls, maybe some textured wallpaper
- 17:09Speaker 5: or something.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Turn into a rampus room. Is that what those are called?
- 17:15Speaker 2: Playroom?
- 17:15Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 17:15Speaker 3: I think that's a room that's a crazy thing.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Into a US room or like an all purpose room,
- 17:22Speaker 5: or just like a space where you can go and
- 17:25Speaker 5: like maybe meditate or do yoga if that's what you
- 17:28Speaker 5: want to do from intruders.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Yes, I actually I actually was like, well also because
- 17:35Speaker 4: there's there was like a few weeks where like there
- 17:38Speaker 4: were so many videos about like what do you do
- 17:40Speaker 4: if there was a nuclear explosion?
- 17:44Speaker 2: If you've seen those videos?
- 17:45Speaker 3: No, but I'd like some tips. Honestly, there was a
- 17:48Speaker 3: week when this was happening all the time.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Yeah, because we're hip on the trends.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Do you know about that song It's very nice to
- 17:54Speaker 5: meet you.
- 17:55Speaker 3: No, I don't know that.
- 17:57Speaker 4: The Pink Panther sounds like my name is pink and
- 17:59Speaker 4: answered really nice to meet you.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Oh of course, interesting you didn't know when I was
- 18:04Speaker 5: talking about it, I.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Can't work on your vocals.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Well, I don't know about that trench. You knew about that,
- 18:10Speaker 5: so I believe you on this.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Yeah, well, we all thought we were going to go
- 18:13Speaker 4: to World War three, so we were people were like,
- 18:15Speaker 4: if if a new comes this way, here's what you do.
- 18:19Speaker 4: But I don't remember all the steps, but basically like
- 18:21Speaker 4: try to find an enclosed space underground. And I was like,
- 18:25Speaker 4: I do have rooms that are under the house, but
- 18:28Speaker 4: also like I guess I get a new door because
- 18:31Speaker 4: you can there's like wind can come underneath, so you.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Don't want that nuclear wind. I don't want that nuclear wind,
- 18:37Speaker 2: right of course. I here's the thing. If a nuclear bomb,
- 18:43Speaker 2: if that's coming for me, take me away. If he
- 18:47Speaker 2: dobson me, okay, take me away. I don't want to
- 18:50Speaker 2: be here. I don't want to live through that.
- 18:53Speaker 5: What if I get radiation and then like of course,
- 18:56Speaker 5: and then bad stuff happened, and I don't want that.
- 18:59Speaker 3: That's how I feel about every end of the world scenario.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Just let me be one of the people that is obliterated.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I'm not responsible enough, I'm not good at camping, no food. Basically, no,
- 19:11Speaker 3: I would just be a leech on everybody else. People
- 19:15Speaker 3: are like, how do we why didn't we get rid
- 19:16Speaker 3: of him during the big bomb? So just I don't
- 19:19Speaker 3: want to be What is there to live for? I
- 19:21Speaker 3: don't want to have to and I can't even repopulate
- 19:25Speaker 3: homosexual right here, I'm not going to be.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I truly was like, can I repopulate?
- 19:32Speaker 3: Let's all take a minute and see if we can repopulate.
- 19:34Speaker 2: At that's what I was getting. I was like, I
- 19:37Speaker 2: don't want to.
- 19:38Speaker 3: I guess I don't want to.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I still don't want to have kids, even if the
- 19:41Speaker 2: end of the world. I'm like, nah, this womb is close.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Sorry, I want to live my life.
- 19:46Speaker 4: I'm too young, just ended I think they want to do.
- 19:53Speaker 3: I like staying up late going out. Oh boy, well okay,
- 20:01Speaker 3: I don't have anywhere to get underground, so I guess
- 20:03Speaker 3: I will die in the nuclear thing.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll die too. Yeah.
- 20:07Speaker 3: But I have heard that major cities don't actually have
- 20:10Speaker 3: to worry as much because if someone wanted to bomb us,
- 20:13Speaker 3: they would want to bomb our nuclear facilities. So those
- 20:18Speaker 3: are outside of major cities.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Oh, where is our nuclear facility?
- 20:24Speaker 3: I guess somewhere far from La. Maybe it's in San Diego.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Oh no, that's no.
- 20:30Speaker 3: I think they kind of put them out in the
- 20:32Speaker 3: desert or something that makes sense, right, Yeah, I'm just
- 20:35Speaker 3: going to have them.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Yeah, why do we have nuclear stuff?
- 20:39Speaker 4: Everyone else has nuclear but nobody should have.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Pinky swear to get rid of it, truly.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Swear. It's so crazy that we can't just say, let's
- 20:49Speaker 3: just not we don't have to worry anymore.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like this impending stress where it's like someone
- 20:54Speaker 4: might actually use their why.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Because of a few nasty people, and I guess we
- 21:00Speaker 3: just get to deal with it.
- 21:01Speaker 2: I feel like it should be like.
- 21:06Speaker 3: You remember duels, Sure, of course.
- 21:08Speaker 4: I feel like leaders of countries should just fight each other. Yes,
- 21:14Speaker 4: the countries. Oh why why are the citizens involved?
- 21:18Speaker 3: Right?
- 21:18Speaker 5: Well, I think if you do that and then the
- 21:21Speaker 5: person who wins and is like, well, now that's my country.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Oh, I think the residents might.
- 21:24Speaker 5: Be like, hey, I mean, yeah, I don't trust I
- 21:28Speaker 5: could have done better. Oh yeah, he's not doing too hot.
- 21:30Speaker 5: You see that makeup on his hand?
- 21:32Speaker 3: No, have you seen we believe in the makeup on
- 21:34Speaker 3: his hands?
- 21:35Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 21:36Speaker 3: My boyfriend keeps saying it's only a matter of months.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I'm like, that's what people so.
- 21:40Speaker 5: People so he's had makeup on his hand, and people
- 21:43Speaker 5: are like, oh, he's getting like infusions or something. And
- 21:46Speaker 5: people have publicly been like months months before this man dies.
- 21:50Speaker 3: I'm just I'm not getting any my hopes.
- 21:53Speaker 2: So am I getting my hopes up either.
- 21:54Speaker 3: I think he's going to live to about one hundred
- 21:56Speaker 3: and seventy and those that's what the infusions are for.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I don't think that is like a little cockroach.
- 22:03Speaker 3: He is a cockroach.
- 22:07Speaker 2: And that's my impression.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I mean, speaking of pasts, look this podcast. I was
- 22:17Speaker 3: very excited to have you two here today. I've had
- 22:21Speaker 3: trouble with people in the past. You two to include
- 22:25Speaker 3: people in the past. It's called I said no gifts,
- 22:28Speaker 3: and I was thrilled. I thought Nicole and Sehier will
- 22:31Speaker 3: come by. We had trouble on their episodes. They brought
- 22:35Speaker 3: me gifts, but obviously they've learned their lesson. They're willing
- 22:37Speaker 3: to face me rather than be cowards over zoom and
- 22:42Speaker 3: so I thought, we're just gonna have a nice time
- 22:44Speaker 3: and chat and to move on with our days. Ah.
- 22:47Speaker 3: So I was I was not only surprised. I was
- 22:50Speaker 3: doubly surprised when both of you arrived with what are
- 22:55Speaker 3: clearly gifts.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Yeah, couldn't resist.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Well, here's the thing, he people always say no gift,
- 23:02Speaker 5: Sure they.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Want a gift.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Yeah, people, Yeah, people are not people.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I think you're tinition. You are no, okay, sure you're animated.
- 23:16Speaker 2: You're breathing. A tree scratched you your thighs, aroud.
- 23:20Speaker 3: It's a telltale side. If a tree scratches you.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Can I ask you about your thighs. It was going
- 23:26Speaker 5: on with yeah, why are you why are you thinking this?
- 23:30Speaker 1: People?
- 23:30Speaker 2: For being supported?
- 23:31Speaker 3: Well, I was on stage without paints. I could show you.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Would you like to see?
- 23:36Speaker 2: Were you wearing shorts?
- 23:37Speaker 3: I was in a you know, in an outfit, so.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I can't wait.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Or a couple of years ago, I was given a
- 23:44Speaker 3: tunic on the podcast, and when we did our first
- 23:47Speaker 3: live show, I thought I was wearing I should wear
- 23:49Speaker 3: something that I was given And most of the clothing
- 23:51Speaker 3: I've been given is total garbage. So this, the tunic
- 23:56Speaker 3: was kind of the ideal piece of stage where that
- 23:58Speaker 3: I wore for a few lives as I died it
- 24:00Speaker 3: every time. And then I got to a point that
- 24:03Speaker 3: it was died black, so I couldn't diet again. So
- 24:05Speaker 3: I had to get a new piece of clothing, and
- 24:08Speaker 3: Josh Sharp gave me three pieces of ath leisure t
- 24:12Speaker 3: shirts and so I had my friend Danny turn it
- 24:14Speaker 3: into a new piece that I wore on stage, and
- 24:17Speaker 3: I'll show it to you. Is Danny so she sews
- 24:21Speaker 3: so impressive. I'm always Danny commissions, she might do you
- 24:25Speaker 3: need something?
- 24:25Speaker 5: So, yes, I have a pair of I bought two
- 24:28Speaker 5: pairs of pants that I was gonna put together, but
- 24:30Speaker 5: it's above my knowledge and.
- 24:32Speaker 3: South, Oh, I should put you in touch with Danny. Please,
- 24:35Speaker 3: She's so good and it's very fun.
- 24:38Speaker 2: You got a gift, Yes, I got a gift.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Let's see, this is cut off. But that's what I
- 24:44Speaker 3: ended up wearing. Shirt adorable, Oh god bless. It worked
- 24:48Speaker 3: out really well.
- 24:49Speaker 2: And it dies. They're great. I am a little bit
- 24:53Speaker 2: verry winning.
- 24:54Speaker 3: The Donald Duck type, but that's what that was.
- 24:58Speaker 5: Why do all the boy our tunes just wear shirts
- 25:01Speaker 5: and the girls are in skirts?
- 25:03Speaker 3: Right? Oh? Interesting? What's happening under the skirts?
- 25:08Speaker 2: Yeah, lead dick Ford And that's what Disney's taught us.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Wow, Walt so interesting. Yeah, I guess one of the
- 25:16Speaker 3: girls was just wearing a shirt. People would be like,
- 25:18Speaker 3: what's happening?
- 25:19Speaker 4: Yeah, but for no question about these pants as men.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it's totally okay. We live in a poisonous society.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Really, did any of the pooh have any female friends?
- 25:30Speaker 3: Oh?
- 25:30Speaker 2: Wow, and that's a problem.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Wait what about the kangaroo?
- 25:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, she's a mom.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Yeah, she's a single mom. He has a single mom friend.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's nice, very progressive.
- 25:43Speaker 3: But that's the only woman in his life. Yeah. Then
- 25:46Speaker 3: he has a depressed donkey.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Yes, and then Christopher Robin, a.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Human human child, and then a single mom.
- 25:54Speaker 2: That's the wildest gang.
- 25:55Speaker 3: I've ever heard.
- 25:56Speaker 2: That's really funny.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Loser. They've got to find people in their community.
- 26:04Speaker 4: They've all been ousted actually, and so they're like, we
- 26:07Speaker 4: like each other found fans.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Well, you've distracted from this gift thing. You threw it
- 26:14Speaker 3: off by focusing on my thighs.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Well you want to get in there?
- 26:17Speaker 3: Yeah? Should we get into these things? Who should I
- 26:23Speaker 3: open first? Mmm?
- 26:25Speaker 2: You can open mind?
- 26:26Speaker 3: Okay, great, Oh, spill water everywhere. Okay, let's reach into
- 26:30Speaker 3: this bag. Oh it's zipped.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Wrapped it and I will want that toe back back.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Oh you will have it, wow, Sushiar, the way you
- 26:40Speaker 5: said it, and I will want that to want that.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Wow.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Okay, that's okay. Oh. I like the feel of what's
- 26:52Speaker 3: about to come out of this. Oh it's a gorgeous hat.
- 26:57Speaker 3: And oh no, this is the tag on it. Look
- 27:00Speaker 3: at that great tag. It's a weed Maps t It's
- 27:06Speaker 3: a collab. I keep saying times on collabs. I'm finding
- 27:09Speaker 3: I feel like I'm a thousand years old weed Map
- 27:14Speaker 3: collab with Robin Eisenberg.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:17Speaker 4: Robin Eisenberg is immediately a great artist.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Oh, I forgot I was wearing headphones and.
- 27:24Speaker 4: I actually have like some of her pictures in my
- 27:27Speaker 4: house and.
- 27:29Speaker 2: It actually looks problems.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Hold this on my hand.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Very fun.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Yeah, wow, tell me more about this hat.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm a fan of Robin Eisenberg in general. She
- 27:40Speaker 4: also did the art for our friend's cartoon Trackled Down
- 27:42Speaker 4: Dune lap As, a cartoon called second Best Hospital in
- 27:46Speaker 4: the Galaxy.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, of course, of course.
- 27:49Speaker 4: And she yeah, she did is collab with weed Maps.
- 27:51Speaker 4: And then I got sent some fun stuff and I
- 27:55Speaker 4: don't smoke weed anymore or consume it. So the things
- 27:59Speaker 4: that have that are more weed heavy I'm giving to
- 28:02Speaker 4: my friends.
- 28:03Speaker 3: That's very nice. Are you much of a hat wearer?
- 28:06Speaker 4: I am, now yeah, since I mean I kind of
- 28:08Speaker 4: liked hats before, but since I shaved my head a
- 28:10Speaker 4: couple of years ago, I've been like very into hats.
- 28:13Speaker 3: What sort of hats?
- 28:14Speaker 4: Well, I actually just went to Japan and I found
- 28:16Speaker 4: these like crocheted bonnets.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and they're very cute.
- 28:21Speaker 4: And I also like at night sometimes my head gets
- 28:24Speaker 4: cold because of the air, and my scalp is naked.
- 28:27Speaker 4: My head is naked. Yeah, I also have a bucket hat.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Oh interesting. I can't wear a bucket hat.
- 28:32Speaker 2: I think you could.
- 28:33Speaker 3: I look like a creep. No, I don't think men
- 28:36Speaker 3: should really wear bucket hats.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Oh okay. I think that's a hard stance.
- 28:41Speaker 3: And I like it. Woody Allen is the only he wears.
- 28:44Speaker 5: A bucket hat, and I guess what.
- 28:48Speaker 3: He's kind of let's not get into a hat. No.
- 28:52Speaker 3: I feel like women have and always will be able
- 28:56Speaker 3: to wear a bucket hat, and men always look like
- 28:59Speaker 3: idiots in them, reel.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Like beach bros wear bucket hats.
- 29:05Speaker 3: I feel that a good thing for them.
- 29:08Speaker 2: It's like a specific type. I think it's like a
- 29:10Speaker 2: vibe thing.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Yeah, Jamiroquai did he wear a bucket hat?
- 29:16Speaker 2: He wore many hats.
- 29:17Speaker 3: I just gasped.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Because I just watched the making of his the video
- 29:23Speaker 2: of his like hit single.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Was it like the MTV making of.
- 29:26Speaker 2: I think so? Where the room is moving? Yeah, of course,
- 29:30Speaker 2: and I can't remember.
- 29:32Speaker 5: Oh the set slid, the floor wasn't moving, and it
- 29:36Speaker 5: was very hard for me to wrap my mind around that.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Really good.
- 29:39Speaker 3: This makes me want to go back and watch all
- 29:40Speaker 3: those making of the videos. Those were so fun.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna do it.
- 29:44Speaker 5: Do those stream I watched something, I watched it on YouTube.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Okay, I feel like MTV has dropped the ball as
- 29:50Speaker 3: far as letting you stream their shows.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Hard to access like old MTV stuff.
- 29:56Speaker 5: Well, I've talked about this at nauseum with you.
- 30:00Speaker 2: So they said, streaming is coming. You can watch anything
- 30:03Speaker 2: you want. No, you can't. I should be able to
- 30:06Speaker 2: watch every.
- 30:07Speaker 5: Single thing that MTV has put out on Paramount plus. Yes,
- 30:12Speaker 5: every diva's live from VH one of course should be
- 30:15Speaker 5: able to watch a Paramount plus. I don't understand why
- 30:18Speaker 5: they take things away, especially they're things that they are.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's very strange.
- 30:22Speaker 3: I mean, now that I bring it up, I wonder
- 30:24Speaker 3: if MTV in particular is hard because of music rights.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I'm sure they made those artists signed things like that.
- 30:30Speaker 2: The lawyer thought already like, yeah, why would I expire?
- 30:34Speaker 2: I'm sure it's like yeah, and.
- 30:35Speaker 5: I'm sure old bands would be like, yeah, this thing
- 30:38Speaker 5: that I did because I love I would love.
- 30:40Speaker 3: For people to right, but there's something's going on. I'm streaming.
- 30:45Speaker 3: People should buy more physical meats. That's because they're going
- 30:48Speaker 3: to take it away.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Talking about that, Yeah, we've been talking about it.
- 30:50Speaker 3: End of time scenario.
- 30:52Speaker 4: Yeah, but we don't have physical meaning Oh yeah, but
- 30:54Speaker 4: if the grid goes down, we'll have like a.
- 30:56Speaker 3: King if you have Blu rays.
- 30:58Speaker 2: And I'm collecting.
- 31:00Speaker 3: I've just started. I've recently started collecting again because I'm like, well,
- 31:03Speaker 3: I'm not going to pay for the digital rights to
- 31:04Speaker 3: this thing, which they could also take away. Yeah, and
- 31:08Speaker 3: I hate hunting to find my thing. And I also
- 31:11Speaker 3: like to go to a closet and look at what
- 31:13Speaker 3: I have and be like, oh, I know I like
- 31:14Speaker 3: these things.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, we could by when the Tesla Cafe fails
- 31:22Speaker 4: by that space.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Yes, put up a Blockbuster.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Oh so you haven't talked about the That's a great because.
- 31:29Speaker 2: I was watching a movie, trying to watch a movie
- 31:32Speaker 2: the other night.
- 31:32Speaker 5: It was eight pm, and then Amazon said, mah, your
- 31:36Speaker 5: Prime membership doesn't fucking matter here.
- 31:38Speaker 2: You got to sign up for Amazon Sphere or something fear.
- 31:42Speaker 5: I don't know what it was, but I was like,
- 31:44Speaker 5: I don't want to sign up for a free trial
- 31:46Speaker 5: for this. This is very And I was like at
- 31:50Speaker 5: that moment, I would have gone in my car and
- 31:53Speaker 5: driven to a Blockbuster to get the movie I wanted
- 31:55Speaker 5: to watch.
- 31:56Speaker 2: I probably picked up a kit of the others. Well
- 31:59Speaker 2: I'm there, I'm already, maybe get some ice cream. It
- 32:03Speaker 2: would cause me.
- 32:04Speaker 3: To do would cause you to be a consumer?
- 32:06Speaker 2: Yes?
- 32:06Speaker 4: Also or like why does it Netflix want to make
- 32:09Speaker 4: more money go back to sending us DVDs?
- 32:12Speaker 3: Yes, out they're ruining it, Like yeah.
- 32:14Speaker 4: People, if they could do a package where it's like
- 32:17Speaker 4: I have my subscription to streaming and in addition to
- 32:20Speaker 4: if I choose to buy DVDs.
- 32:22Speaker 5: I think they don't do that because I think it's
- 32:24Speaker 5: a matter of licensing. I think they when it was
- 32:27Speaker 5: just DVD. Listen, I'm talking out of my ass. I
- 32:30Speaker 5: don't actually know, but I would assume when they were
- 32:34Speaker 5: just sending out DVD's they had licensed a bunch of movies.
- 32:38Speaker 5: So I think they'd probably license the movies they already
- 32:41Speaker 5: have on the platform. I think that would be otherwise
- 32:43Speaker 5: they're spending I don't know, Listen.
- 32:45Speaker 2: I tried this.
- 32:47Speaker 5: I don't know at all, but I was like, well,
- 32:49Speaker 5: there has to be a reason why they won't send
- 32:51Speaker 5: us DVDs.
- 32:52Speaker 3: I think the reason is control keeping you subscribing and
- 32:56Speaker 3: really shocked.
- 32:59Speaker 2: It's a French chef all over again.
- 33:02Speaker 3: But I live by Vidiots, which is an Eagle Rods there,
- 33:06Speaker 3: and it's lovely. You go in there and they re people.
- 33:10Speaker 3: They recommend the movies to you. They're like the staff picks.
- 33:13Speaker 3: You're not just like wandering through Netflix for two hours
- 33:17Speaker 3: and settling on a movie where you're like, well, I
- 33:19Speaker 3: guess I'll watch this. That feeling is awful.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate it, really all right, this will do fine.
- 33:24Speaker 4: I have to watch something, yeah, and I've already finished
- 33:27Speaker 4: eating by the time I find it.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Yeah, of course, of course I to those two things up.
- 33:33Speaker 3: If I'm if I'm done eating before the show, and
- 33:35Speaker 3: what am I doing?
- 33:36Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 33:36Speaker 3: I need my treat throughout the show. It's really frustrating. Well,
- 33:42Speaker 3: I've got this hat now. I don't wear hats that often.
- 33:45Speaker 3: I feel like I need to like go to I
- 33:48Speaker 3: need like more objective sources in my life that I
- 33:51Speaker 3: can go to and they can just tell me the truth. Yes,
- 33:53Speaker 3: I'll be wearing the hat and be like, doesn't work.
- 33:55Speaker 5: I would tell you. You would tell me I would never
- 33:57Speaker 5: let somebody out in the world where they.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Didn't look good.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Wow, that's so nice of you.
- 34:02Speaker 5: And then if you're out in the world and I
- 34:03Speaker 5: don't even know you and you look good, I'm gonna
- 34:05Speaker 5: tell you.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Wow. You would tell a stranger.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Oh, I'll chase you damn to tell you your pants
- 34:11Speaker 2: look good?
- 34:12Speaker 3: Oh, you would say if they do look good?
- 34:14Speaker 5: Not yes, Oh no, if you look terrible out in public,
- 34:16Speaker 5: you already made that choice.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Sorry, you look terrible.
- 34:18Speaker 2: It's so bad. You look a damn mess.
- 34:22Speaker 3: You gotta do something about this.
- 34:24Speaker 2: You look a damn you pit me long suckings bitch.
- 34:31Speaker 3: Oh, can you imagine I'm devastating.
- 34:33Speaker 2: I would burst into tears. I'd be like, there was
- 34:35Speaker 2: no need.
- 34:36Speaker 3: But there was no show about that. It was called
- 34:38Speaker 3: like Ambush Makeover or something.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 34:41Speaker 3: It was one of those early reality shows where I
- 34:43Speaker 3: think they were like, who cares the feelings get hurt?
- 34:46Speaker 5: Well, there was a lot of things in like the
- 34:48Speaker 5: two thousands where they were like, hey, what if we
- 34:51Speaker 5: hurt people's feelings live on television with an audience sign
- 34:55Speaker 5: me up, let's do that like the Swan, but honestly,
- 34:59Speaker 5: bring back this Swan. You don't know the Swan.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Swan. It's not like, oh, we've gone too far with
- 35:04Speaker 2: reality TV because I leave.
- 35:06Speaker 5: It lasted one season, maybe too so. The Swan was
- 35:09Speaker 5: a beauty pageant where just normal women from like Ohio, Minnesota, Montana,
- 35:15Speaker 5: all the states, Colorado, New Mexico they come and then
- 35:25Speaker 5: they compete for plastic surgery procedures and then there's a
- 35:31Speaker 5: the Swan pageant at the end for the lady who
- 35:34Speaker 5: has lost the most amount of weight had the best
- 35:36Speaker 5: nose job.
- 35:37Speaker 2: And they would get into fights being like, you know,
- 35:39Speaker 2: I needed that nose job, bridget.
- 35:42Speaker 4: And they had to like heal alone, heal alone. They
- 35:47Speaker 4: couldn't see themselves anybody else.
- 35:49Speaker 2: They like to work out during the healing process.
- 35:54Speaker 3: Yeah, like physically dangers.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Yeah, it's psychologically damage.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah.
- 35:59Speaker 5: Then there was another show called Who Wants to Marry
- 36:02Speaker 5: Prince Harry? Fox was at the Prince Yes, So they
- 36:06Speaker 5: hired a man who looked vaguely like a whisper like
- 36:09Speaker 5: Prince Harry told these women from all fifty states that
- 36:13Speaker 5: that was Prince Harry. Would not allow them access to
- 36:16Speaker 5: outside media and would like drop fake newspapers on their
- 36:20Speaker 5: like hotel doorsteps.
- 36:21Speaker 2: It's like, look at what Prince Harry's doing.
- 36:24Speaker 5: And then they had psychologists or like therapists being like,
- 36:28Speaker 5: why do you think that's.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Not Prince much.
- 36:31Speaker 5: They slit these ladies into thinking it was like in
- 36:34Speaker 5: the aughts, the early aughts, the late aughts.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Uh yeah.
- 36:38Speaker 2: And then Joe Millionaire.
- 36:39Speaker 3: I loved that it was Joe Millionaire. There was also
- 36:43Speaker 3: Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire? Where the lady ended
- 36:45Speaker 3: up marrying and it was just like, oh, this is
- 36:46Speaker 3: going to be bad. We know it's going to be
- 36:48Speaker 3: bad immediately.
- 36:50Speaker 5: I only know Joe Millionaire, where it was a construction
- 36:52Speaker 5: worker and they lied to these women he was a millionaire.
- 36:55Speaker 5: And there's the best scene I've ever seen in all
- 36:57Speaker 5: of reality television where he takes a lady out into
- 37:00Speaker 5: the woods and she blows him and they put it
- 37:02Speaker 5: in the like the what is the caption in the caption?
- 37:05Speaker 2: Slurp, slurp. So I wonder where she is now.
- 37:12Speaker 3: I mean, we're in a tough place as a society
- 37:14Speaker 3: right now, but there are a few things that we've
- 37:16Speaker 3: moved past.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I think we should go back to it. Slurp.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Yeah. I think Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire was
- 37:24Speaker 3: like an hour long special and you watch them get
- 37:26Speaker 3: married on stage, and then it immediately fell apart because
- 37:29Speaker 3: I don't think he was really a millionaire and he
- 37:30Speaker 3: was like had a dark pass.
- 37:34Speaker 2: This is what you have to deal with if you
- 37:36Speaker 2: want a millionaire. He's lying and he's a dark path.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Let me try to I'm gonna. I actually think I
- 37:41Speaker 3: can remember the woman's name, Deborah Konger. If that's real,
- 37:44Speaker 3: I should get to marry a millionaire. Holy is that
- 37:47Speaker 3: the woman?
- 37:49Speaker 2: I like that they are asking, but you have a
- 37:50Speaker 2: computer right in front of you.
- 37:52Speaker 3: It's only it's I'm not online. I'm not online.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Darva went open my present?
- 38:00Speaker 3: Yeah, when when you're present? Okay, let's see what's happening here. Oh,
- 38:07Speaker 3: there are two things. Should I pull out this other
- 38:09Speaker 3: thing in here? Yes, Rabble rouser tattoo Yes? And then
- 38:15Speaker 3: Megababe Daily deodorant.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Yes. I ordered the wrong thing. I don't need that. Yes.
- 38:26Speaker 5: I wanted this anti chaping cream because my thighs live together.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Sure, and you know, right of course.
- 38:32Speaker 2: It gets a little heated. So I ordered the wrong thing.
- 38:36Speaker 3: The Megababe Daily deodorant.
- 38:38Speaker 5: Yes, And I was like, I it has no aluminum,
- 38:41Speaker 5: and I need the aluminum.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Iking sometimes I do aluminum too. Oh, I think we're
- 38:48Speaker 3: on a bad path, but we can what can we do?
- 38:50Speaker 2: Okay, Well, yeah, I guess you won't use that.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Oh well, chure, I've got it. I just might like
- 38:56Speaker 3: the one at home. I think is an aluminum Oh.
- 38:58Speaker 4: I see, I use arm and hammer and it's aluminum
- 39:01Speaker 4: free and it works for me.
- 39:04Speaker 3: And I'm wondering. I used the dove for men.
- 39:07Speaker 5: I used dove full of aluminum, full of alumina. I
- 39:11Speaker 5: put it right on and then I can wrap up
- 39:13Speaker 5: my food later get it, and then that's where I
- 39:18Speaker 5: get tattooed.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Rapple rouser tattooed.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Yeah, they're a really great shop, and.
- 39:24Speaker 3: I've been meaning to get a tattoo, but really, yes.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Well I really.
- 39:28Speaker 5: Alana is my artist and I love her very very much.
- 39:31Speaker 5: She's done over ten ten of my tattoos and she
- 39:35Speaker 5: just did one for me. I got a bunch of
- 39:38Speaker 5: butterflies and then a sexy pinup wearing a peanut costume
- 39:43Speaker 5: and that says I love nuts.
- 39:46Speaker 2: You already got it?
- 39:48Speaker 3: Did she design that?
- 39:49Speaker 5: Yes?
- 39:50Speaker 3: Oh that's amazing.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Yeah. I just sent her a bunch of references.
- 39:53Speaker 5: And initially I wanted the peanut to be like Missus Peanut,
- 39:56Speaker 5: like a sexy missus Peanut, but she was like, what
- 39:59Speaker 5: if we did a pinup? And I was like, actually,
- 40:01Speaker 5: I really love that drawing. And then I was like,
- 40:03Speaker 5: can we change it to so she's like a little
- 40:04Speaker 5: afro And she was like, yeah, let's do it, and
- 40:07Speaker 5: she like changed it on the spot. And then I
- 40:09Speaker 5: was like, can we make her a little chunkier? And
- 40:10Speaker 5: she's like uh huh, And then.
- 40:12Speaker 3: I think she's really and she's in a peanut costume. Yeah,
- 40:15Speaker 3: oh I love.
- 40:15Speaker 2: That, with a little cane and gloves.
- 40:18Speaker 3: How did you find her? Name's Alana? How did you
- 40:21Speaker 3: find her? Because that's been my big thing where I'm like,
- 40:24Speaker 3: I don't know who to trust for a tattoo. Uh,
- 40:27Speaker 3: and then I that combines with all my other mental
- 40:30Speaker 3: problems and then I just keep putting it off. So
- 40:32Speaker 3: I don't know how. But now I mean a good recommendation.
- 40:35Speaker 5: It is hard to find an artist. But I think
- 40:37Speaker 5: I was just goofing on the internet. Sure, and I
- 40:42Speaker 5: like stumbled across a clip from a reality show. Oh wait,
- 40:47Speaker 5: here's what happened. I was goofing on the internet trying
- 40:49Speaker 5: to find a tattoo artist. I was dating this guy
- 40:51Speaker 5: who was a contestant or like a canvas on a
- 40:54Speaker 5: swan an. He was the winner of the swam loo
- 40:59Speaker 5: looked at incredible and he was like, I know this
- 41:01Speaker 5: tattoo artist who did my perma brows. But no, he
- 41:05Speaker 5: was a contestant on a reality show that I can't remember.
- 41:07Speaker 5: It wasn't ink Master was another one. I think it
- 41:09Speaker 5: was on TLC at the time anyway, and I watched
- 41:11Speaker 5: a clip from it and then I saw her on it,
- 41:14Speaker 5: and then I was like, oh, let me look at
- 41:16Speaker 5: her work. And then I looked at it and I
- 41:17Speaker 5: really really liked her stuff. She does like a lot
- 41:19Speaker 5: of colorful stuff, a lot of like feminine stuff. If
- 41:23Speaker 5: she can really draw you anything you want. And it
- 41:25Speaker 5: is funny that she has done zero color on me.
- 41:27Speaker 4: And but I think she does a good jabb Someday, Yeah,
- 41:33Speaker 4: maybe one day.
- 41:34Speaker 2: I only have one color tattoo.
- 41:35Speaker 3: What's that tattoo? Is it? I'm always like, it's it
- 41:37Speaker 3: okay to ask people about their tattoo. Yeah, of course
- 41:39Speaker 3: some people have very personal tattoos.
- 41:41Speaker 5: No, mine are all pretty dumb. It is a chili
- 41:44Speaker 5: pepper that says muy galliente. Because I went to Chili's
- 41:49Speaker 5: once and the skillet caso came and the potholder had
- 41:52Speaker 5: chili peppers on it, and I said, ooh, cause it's
- 41:54Speaker 5: wait calliente, and my friend went, no, it's Chili's.
- 41:58Speaker 2: And I was like, I'm a tattoo that to me?
- 42:01Speaker 3: Where did you go to Chili's. There's none in La this.
- 42:03Speaker 2: There is an encino in Sino. It'll be a half hour.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Wait, half hour, that's a long wait. I haven't been
- 42:09Speaker 3: to Chili's in a long time. How was that experience?
- 42:11Speaker 2: It was great? It was popping. There was so many
- 42:13Speaker 2: youths there and I got.
- 42:16Speaker 5: The fajitas and they were very fresh. Oh boy, was
- 42:19Speaker 5: I happy?
- 42:20Speaker 3: I have only good memories of chili's.
- 42:22Speaker 5: Well, I'm telling you, the ncino one is a nice one.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Interesting, that feels like a little outing.
- 42:27Speaker 2: Yes. Also the sizzler in Atwater, Oh boy.
- 42:32Speaker 3: I know that scissors. I've never been go.
- 42:35Speaker 5: Go.
- 42:36Speaker 3: They were opened throughout the pandemic. I guess they were
- 42:38Speaker 3: delivering sizzlers.
- 42:39Speaker 5: Oh see, that's so nice, feeding the community fellowship. Good
- 42:44Speaker 5: as sizzler. Okay, I had a nice time at the
- 42:47Speaker 5: salad bar. There was a man checking the temperature of everything.
- 42:51Speaker 5: I said, keep me safe.
- 42:52Speaker 2: That the c.
- 42:55Speaker 5: And then I thought the salabar was really nice. The
- 42:57Speaker 5: ranch very good. They have blue cheese and stuff. I'll
- 43:01Speaker 5: fuck with that. And then they have a soft serve machine.
- 43:03Speaker 5: Oh boy, as much soft serve as you can fucking handle.
- 43:07Speaker 5: I'm lactose intolerant. I almost shit myself on the way home.
- 43:10Speaker 5: But it was it would be joyful. I'd be so happy.
- 43:13Speaker 5: I'd be like, I had a nice time, and the
- 43:16Speaker 5: steak not bad.
- 43:18Speaker 3: I feel like a steak. It's like even a bad one.
- 43:20Speaker 3: It's just like a piece of meat. Ultimately, so if
- 43:22Speaker 3: they cook it decently, it'll be okay, they.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Cook it really to your specifications.
- 43:27Speaker 5: And I don't think people know like rare medium rare
- 43:32Speaker 5: when they go to the sizzler sometimes because our server
- 43:34Speaker 5: was like, cut into your meat and let me know
- 43:35Speaker 5: if that's what you like to see.
- 43:39Speaker 3: They didn't ask you beforehand.
- 43:40Speaker 2: No, they ask you beforehand what you want.
- 43:42Speaker 5: And I said medium rare and the guy said medium
- 43:45Speaker 5: rare and I said yeah. He's like that's gonna be
- 43:46Speaker 5: really pink in the center and I was like yep,
- 43:48Speaker 5: and then I got it.
- 43:49Speaker 2: He was like cut into it.
- 43:50Speaker 5: Because I think people will be like medium rare because
- 43:52Speaker 5: that's what they've heard, and they're like, it's not cooked.
- 43:54Speaker 3: It's hoping to teach you a lesson in that.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Moment, yes, to be like, he really what you want
- 43:58Speaker 2: to see?
- 44:00Speaker 3: Like I said, it's medium, right wow. Sizzler and Chili's. Okay,
- 44:05Speaker 3: Chili's is number one on my list right now. I
- 44:08Speaker 3: want the bottomless chips.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the skilly case.
- 44:10Speaker 3: I feel like they had a fried chicken sandwhich that
- 44:12Speaker 3: was good. But this is all These are all middle
- 44:14Speaker 3: school memories, when my tastes were less mature than they
- 44:18Speaker 3: are now.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Mine never matured. I love just I love food. I
- 44:24Speaker 2: love silly food.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Sure, steak and shake was my like high school.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Well, we didn't have those.
- 44:30Speaker 2: I really like, I think we have those either. Where
- 44:32Speaker 2: did you.
- 44:32Speaker 3: Grow up, Utah, Utah your Jersey?
- 44:36Speaker 2: Yeah, you're getting so sheer.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Indiana, Indiana they have been and they had steak and
- 44:44Speaker 3: chicken Indiana. I don't associate that with Indiana.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Where else is it?
- 44:48Speaker 3: Actually the only place I've ever had it was New York. Weirdly,
- 44:50Speaker 3: oh really yeah, because they had opened it became like
- 44:53Speaker 3: a novelty in New York for about ten minutes and
- 44:56Speaker 3: then I'm sure the franchisease and it was grow.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Is it fast food steak?
- 45:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like hamburgers, hamburgers, steak burgers and the fries
- 45:07Speaker 4: and shakes. A hamburger steak, Well, I've never no steak, hamburger,
- 45:12Speaker 4: a steak burger.
- 45:13Speaker 3: Yeah, So it's like, I guess a burger just made
- 45:16Speaker 3: out of a different type of beef.
- 45:21Speaker 5: But is it shape like it's shaped like burger yegg, the.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Thing with no corners, that's.
- 45:32Speaker 2: A burger unless you go to Wendy's.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Like to say, the shape of the sun, that's burger.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Yes, that's burger shape.
- 45:38Speaker 5: For whatever reason, I really just couldn't get past a
- 45:40Speaker 5: steak burger being a steak with bun on.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Maybe it's like I.
- 45:45Speaker 4: Don't I guess I don't actually know what the difference
- 45:48Speaker 4: between steak burger and hamburger is, but I'm assuming it's
- 45:50Speaker 4: like pure beef, pure beef, pure baby, the pure breath beef.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Uh yeah, that's it. And then they had milkshakes too,
- 46:03Speaker 3: but they opened one in LA and I think that
- 46:04Speaker 3: one there wasn't somebody watching this store.
- 46:09Speaker 4: And they have a temperature guy.
- 46:14Speaker 3: So sure, do you have any tattoos?
- 46:16Speaker 2: I have many?
- 46:17Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 46:17Speaker 3: You both. Now I feel so left out again.
- 46:19Speaker 4: The last I got was with Nicole because you there's
- 46:22Speaker 4: a tattoo artist who wanted to tattoo you, and You're like,
- 46:25Speaker 4: do you want to come to you? I was like sure,
- 46:26Speaker 4: and I didn't have any ideas. So yeah, I think
- 46:30Speaker 4: I've I've gotten to the point where I'm like, I
- 46:32Speaker 4: don't have any special ideas anymore.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Now I'm just getting random stuff.
- 46:36Speaker 4: But I do love chairs, like in general, and uh
- 46:41Speaker 4: so I imagined if I were a chair, what chair
- 46:43Speaker 4: would I be? And you know those like peacock like
- 46:48Speaker 4: woven chairs, a throne.
- 46:52Speaker 2: I I got that.
- 46:53Speaker 3: Oh that's great. Is it colored?
- 46:55Speaker 2: No, it's just black.
- 46:57Speaker 3: That sounds so cool. A chair. I doubt that many
- 47:00Speaker 3: people have a chair on their body.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Actually, after I got it, I started noticing that.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Chair.
- 47:07Speaker 4: Yeah, but like I have a chair, but like you know,
- 47:10Speaker 4: like plastic chairs or like little stick.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Chairs, right, not like that. Yeah, this is pretty ornate.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Yeah that's opulent. That's opulent.
- 47:18Speaker 3: And you had a tattoo artist to say, I want
- 47:21Speaker 3: to tattoo you.
- 47:22Speaker 5: Yes, I've had two. There was Stephanie. I can't remember
- 47:26Speaker 5: her last name, but she was great. She did a
- 47:29Speaker 5: rubber ducky and a floaty on me holding some sort
- 47:32Speaker 5: of drink.
- 47:33Speaker 3: Oh, I like that.
- 47:35Speaker 5: And then there's an artist named Aaron who's in Atlanta.
- 47:39Speaker 5: And then his girlfriend, Oh god, her name escapes me.
- 47:42Speaker 5: She's incredible. He's also incredible. But he reached out and
- 47:45Speaker 5: was like, if you're ever in Atlanta, let me know,
- 47:46Speaker 5: I'd love to tattoo you. And I was like great,
- 47:48Speaker 5: So he did a lighter on my thigh. And then
- 47:50Speaker 5: his girlfriend, I'll have to look it up because she's
- 47:52Speaker 5: really incredible, and I feel very bad that I can't
- 47:55Speaker 5: remember her name, you're a I'm so bad.
- 47:58Speaker 2: She did a rainbow bright. Oh cool, a black rainbow
- 48:01Speaker 2: bright with little afro darling.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Oh wonderful. What were your first tattoos?
- 48:07Speaker 4: My first one, I think, was this tiger.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Oh. I like that.
- 48:11Speaker 4: My brother drew the design and then I brought it
- 48:14Speaker 4: to a tattoo artist that's amazing and got it done.
- 48:17Speaker 4: And I was born in the Year of the Tiger.
- 48:18Speaker 3: Okay, perfect.
- 48:19Speaker 4: And I like tigers in general because they're like strong
- 48:22Speaker 4: and solitary and thoughtful and all that stuff. Yeah, but
- 48:27Speaker 4: I've gotten most of mine in New York. I just
- 48:32Speaker 4: found the place because I lived in the neighborhood. I
- 48:34Speaker 4: lived in green Point and it was there, and I was.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Like, sure it works for you.
- 48:40Speaker 2: You do mine. Yeah, I got a couple there, mm hmmm.
- 48:44Speaker 3: Cool.
- 48:45Speaker 5: My first was too, I have three stars here.
- 48:48Speaker 3: You have a real toe in the water, dipping your
- 48:51Speaker 3: toe in the water.
- 48:52Speaker 5: Yes. And then I have three stars on my ankle
- 48:55Speaker 5: and says loved in the day my mom died and I.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Got those when I was six.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Team Oh my god, so brave.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 49:02Speaker 5: With my sister's ID, we don't look anything alike.
- 49:08Speaker 2: And they looked at it, and they went.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Sure, it was a tattoo. It's like, who cares, why
- 49:14Speaker 3: bother checking at all? Was it painful the first time,
- 49:17Speaker 3: that is my that's my one concern.
- 49:20Speaker 2: I thought it was painful.
- 49:21Speaker 4: It was like bearable, but I was mostly exhausted after
- 49:25Speaker 4: because I was like flinching the whole time, right, And
- 49:28Speaker 4: I remember like walking to mccaron Park and just like
- 49:30Speaker 4: like die, like zoning out by myself, like I needed
- 49:35Speaker 4: like a breather for a minute, because I couldn't walk
- 49:37Speaker 4: all the way home.
- 49:38Speaker 3: And yours is pretty big for a first tattoo.
- 49:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I know I did that, but you wanted a
- 49:43Speaker 5: tattoo I did little.
- 49:45Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's a I don't know. I think it
- 49:48Speaker 3: might be about that big. But I feel like people say,
- 49:51Speaker 3: like this part of your arm is not that painful.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Here's the thing. Different spots of where you pick will
- 49:57Speaker 2: be painful.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Oh really yes, So like, uh, I have.
- 50:02Speaker 5: One here, this bicycle only really hurt when it went
- 50:06Speaker 5: down lower.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Under it.
- 50:09Speaker 5: Most of that hurt, but like then there were spots
- 50:11Speaker 5: where like over here didn't hurt really at all. And
- 50:15Speaker 5: then I have my butt tattooed, and when the butt jiggles.
- 50:19Speaker 2: That's when it was like, it was just interesting.
- 50:21Speaker 5: It would hurt ish, but it would be the strangest
- 50:23Speaker 5: sensation because your butt would be like that and you're like,
- 50:25Speaker 5: oh and it kind of tickles.
- 50:27Speaker 3: And your butt's never getting hurt like that. Not very
- 50:29Speaker 3: alien feeling.
- 50:31Speaker 5: Very alien feeling. Usually my butt's very covered. I've been protected.
- 50:36Speaker 2: I have the dumbest tattoos on my butt.
- 50:39Speaker 5: Okay, So there's a chili pepper, Mike Cadientay, there's a
- 50:42Speaker 5: hot dog and a hamburger that says sticking in these buns,
- 50:46Speaker 5: an ice cream cone, a lollipop, and a cupcake and
- 50:48Speaker 5: it says it's sweet, just taste it. A lemon that
- 50:51Speaker 5: says when life gives you lemon, suck a dick. Now,
- 50:54Speaker 5: the peanut lady. And then oh, I was just talking
- 50:57Speaker 5: to you about this, a water on a strawberry, and
- 51:01Speaker 5: a banana that says juicy.
- 51:03Speaker 3: This is like the salad bar at Sizzler. This is
- 51:09Speaker 3: all food tattoos on your butt.
- 51:11Speaker 5: Huh.
- 51:11Speaker 3: I like that.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the that's the food area.
- 51:15Speaker 5: And then this is the animal area because I got
- 51:17Speaker 5: a bunch of animals.
- 51:18Speaker 2: And then this is my random one my random area.
- 51:21Speaker 3: There's just like a library or something. I think that's good.
- 51:28Speaker 3: Keep things organized. It's not chaos. Now, it's not chaos.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Some order to it. Wow, well, I this is I've
- 51:35Speaker 3: never used this sort of deodorant before the roll on
- 51:39Speaker 3: Ball thing because at the live show actually weirdly, we
- 51:42Speaker 3: were talking about how people put on deodorant. Do you
- 51:45Speaker 3: put it on after or before you put on your clothes?
- 51:48Speaker 2: Oh?
- 51:49Speaker 3: I put it on before, before.
- 51:51Speaker 5: Before, and I'm constantly frustrated by getting theodre on my clothes.
- 51:54Speaker 3: Right. Yeah, that was a hard lesson for me to learn.
- 51:57Speaker 3: I'm finally doing it after putting on my shirt.
- 51:59Speaker 2: I can't do that because I will forget.
- 52:02Speaker 3: See, I get a lot. Yeah, what a feeling to
- 52:05Speaker 3: be like halfway to your destination.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you're like, oh no, I'm stinking.
- 52:08Speaker 4: You know, I have dieterer in my car.
- 52:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I've started carrying it in my back's smart but
- 52:12Speaker 3: then if it melts, there's another issue.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I have a spray in my car.
- 52:17Speaker 3: Oh that's what I need.
- 52:19Speaker 7: Yea.
- 52:20Speaker 3: I've never used the spray before, but that feels like
- 52:22Speaker 3: the place for it to be. Oh. Wow, the things we.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Learn, the things we learn by talking and fellowship.
- 52:28Speaker 3: About how difficult our lives.
- 52:30Speaker 4: Sometimes I don't have to oter sometimes I'm stinky.
- 52:33Speaker 3: But this is this is a third category. And while
- 52:36Speaker 3: we were talking about it, I asked the audience do
- 52:37Speaker 3: you use a bar or a spray? And we only
- 52:41Speaker 3: got about seventy percent of people participating. The other thirty
- 52:44Speaker 3: percent were probably the roll on ball or people who
- 52:47Speaker 3: don't wear it at all.
- 52:48Speaker 2: That's insane to me.
- 52:50Speaker 3: A lot of people don't wear tooda.
- 52:51Speaker 5: That's I think poor planning. I think it's kind of rude,
- 52:58Speaker 5: too much confidence.
- 53:00Speaker 3: I feel like the logic is often, well, if I
- 53:02Speaker 3: get sweaty enough to stink, deodorant won't help anyway. And
- 53:07Speaker 3: I don't know that that's entirely true. I think that
- 53:10Speaker 3: it the deodorant will help, yeah, and if it's antiperspirant
- 53:13Speaker 3: it will help even more. Yeah. So I feel like
- 53:16Speaker 3: it's just like no, unless you're like playing sports or
- 53:20Speaker 3: really working out.
- 53:21Speaker 5: Even still, because it's preventative brushing your teeth every day.
- 53:27Speaker 3: Yes, Wow, that brings up another controversy in my life.
- 53:31Speaker 3: And I'd like to ask both of your opinion. When
- 53:34Speaker 3: you brush your teeth after you spit out the foam foam.
- 53:40Speaker 3: It's foam, the tooth foam. How do you wash your
- 53:43Speaker 3: mouth out? Do you wet the toothbrush and then run
- 53:47Speaker 3: it through your mouth? Do you put water in your
- 53:50Speaker 3: hands and put it in your mouth? Or do you put
- 53:51Speaker 3: your head under the sink.
- 53:54Speaker 4: I put my hands under the fauce and I put
- 53:58Speaker 4: the water in my mouth. Okay, like I'm a little
- 54:01Speaker 4: animal in the forest.
- 54:03Speaker 3: Very raccoon.
- 54:04Speaker 2: Yeah, very raccoon. It's giving raccoon. I didn't know I
- 54:09Speaker 2: was supposed to do that.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Oh, you just keep all the toothpaste in your mouth,
- 54:13Speaker 3: No nicole, none of the tooth it's just in there.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Spit.
- 54:19Speaker 3: Oh you spit?
- 54:20Speaker 5: Well, I spit the brushbrush rush and I go, but
- 54:23Speaker 5: no rints. And then I do mouthwash.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Oh okay, so there's there is a rinsing hand. Okay, yeah,
- 54:29Speaker 2: the mouthwash.
- 54:30Speaker 4: I thought you just walked out of your bathroom.
- 54:32Speaker 3: I know, it's how uncomfortable.
- 54:34Speaker 2: In your mouth? Still, Well, are you spitting and then
- 54:36Speaker 2: putting water in.
- 54:36Speaker 3: Your I asked, because I spit and then put my
- 54:39Speaker 3: head under the sink and get water in my mouth.
- 54:41Speaker 3: And my boyfriend will He's like, oh, he's going down
- 54:43Speaker 3: to the creek to get the water.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Does he say that every day?
- 54:48Speaker 3: Almost everything?
- 54:49Speaker 2: That's very funny.
- 54:51Speaker 3: I'm an animal. I think it's perfectly.
- 54:55Speaker 2: Some water.
- 54:55Speaker 4: I have seen people do that, but it is like
- 54:58Speaker 4: we have hands, we have well things to help.
- 55:02Speaker 3: But I don't want my hands wet. I can get
- 55:03Speaker 3: the water directly into my mouth and then spit.
- 55:06Speaker 2: And does it not go anywhere else on your face?
- 55:08Speaker 3: No, I'm very laser laser accuracy.
- 55:11Speaker 2: I don't. I guess I don't understand. Why do you
- 55:13Speaker 2: not use mouthwash? No? Not often?
- 55:16Speaker 3: Mouthwash for me is more of a like and in between,
- 55:21Speaker 3: or if I'm like, if I really am like, oh
- 55:22Speaker 3: I ate garlic, I should brush my teeth and use mouthwash.
- 55:27Speaker 3: I think those are kind of the categories for me.
- 55:29Speaker 3: Oh interest, but never daily.
- 55:31Speaker 2: I use mouthwashed daily? Wow, apparently multiple times a day
- 55:35Speaker 2: every day?
- 55:35Speaker 5: Brush.
- 55:36Speaker 3: Yes, you are burning money, okay, Rockefeller, we found we
- 55:41Speaker 3: found the leak in your account.
- 55:43Speaker 2: I thought you were supposed to use it every day.
- 55:45Speaker 3: I'm sure somebody would. I'm sure the Colgate or whoever.
- 55:49Speaker 4: Mouthwashed company definitely wants to use it every day. Found
- 55:51Speaker 4: a dentists think it's necessary.
- 55:53Speaker 3: Oh, they say they get after you about flossing, which
- 55:57Speaker 3: I'm I could be better at.
- 55:59Speaker 2: I could be better at floss.
- 56:00Speaker 5: I guess maybe I use the mouthwash because I'm like, oh,
- 56:02Speaker 5: floss as often as I should.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Oh.
- 56:04Speaker 3: Interesting? Interesting? And how do you How do your dentists
- 56:08Speaker 3: feel about your teeth?
- 56:11Speaker 2: You know, I had a tough time with the dentister
- 56:15Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 56:17Speaker 3: Do not go well.
- 56:18Speaker 5: I hadn't been in like, let's see, I think I
- 56:21Speaker 5: went three years ago.
- 56:22Speaker 2: See my mom has been dead for like.
- 56:26Speaker 5: Two thousand and three, twenty twenty years.
- 56:28Speaker 2: Or something like that.
- 56:29Speaker 5: Okay, and I had I had to have two wisdom
- 56:32Speaker 5: teeth pulls, two root canals, and I think two.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Crowns or something like that.
- 56:37Speaker 5: Sure, so that was that was not fun for me.
- 56:41Speaker 2: I didn't like it.
- 56:42Speaker 3: Those are the worst of the worst.
- 56:43Speaker 5: Yes, But then the next time I went they said
- 56:45Speaker 5: that I was doing good.
- 56:47Speaker 3: Okay, well three years ago, yeah, not that long ago.
- 56:52Speaker 5: Oh and then I had to have my fillings redone
- 56:54Speaker 5: because I had the silver bad kid filling.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Right, I think I have. I'm getting mine redone next week.
- 57:00Speaker 3: I'm not looking forward to having.
- 57:01Speaker 2: Those teeth renovator.
- 57:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:03Speaker 4: I had a couple of read in too. It's like,
- 57:07Speaker 4: I mean, I guess, of course it doesn't last forever.
- 57:10Speaker 3: I should put something in there.
- 57:12Speaker 2: All I did this, I shouldn't.
- 57:15Speaker 3: Have to do anything twice ever, twice I got my
- 57:18Speaker 3: Do either of you have a permanent retainer?
- 57:20Speaker 2: I used to, but it fell out?
- 57:22Speaker 3: Oh it fell out.
- 57:23Speaker 2: I'm done. Wow, you were crunching horse. I don't.
- 57:26Speaker 4: I guess like the enamel or whatever the thing that
- 57:29Speaker 4: made it stick was like chipping. Oh, and I kind
- 57:32Speaker 4: of like like it's like stuck out and then I
- 57:35Speaker 4: had to pull it out. And then yeah, they had
- 57:38Speaker 4: to like shave down the remnants that back there. But
- 57:41Speaker 4: I do have a like an actual retainer. I just
- 57:43Speaker 4: pop in.
- 57:44Speaker 3: This is me at night too, because I was told
- 57:46Speaker 3: never remove it, and I said, I'm not being buried
- 57:49Speaker 3: with this thing, and so I got it removed and
- 57:52Speaker 3: I've been perfectly fine. I think it's a myth that
- 57:53Speaker 3: you need it in there forever. Mine is still in there,
- 57:56Speaker 3: still in the annoying.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Oh, I don't really, you don't notice it.
- 57:59Speaker 3: No, I've a very short tongue for yourself. You'll be
- 58:02Speaker 3: able to floss so.
- 58:03Speaker 2: Much better for yourself. For myself.
- 58:08Speaker 3: Because you can't floss around those.
- 58:09Speaker 2: It is hard.
- 58:10Speaker 3: I have a looper, yeah, you know, but it needs
- 58:13Speaker 3: to bring in an extra tool. Forget about. It's hard.
- 58:17Speaker 5: Water pick sometimes not as often as I should.
- 58:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I like a water pick. I think I like
- 58:23Speaker 3: a water pick too much. Where then I'm like, oh,
- 58:25Speaker 3: this is just fun to do, and then it doesn't
- 58:27Speaker 3: feel like an important thing, and then I don't do it.
- 58:29Speaker 2: It just feels like good to do.
- 58:31Speaker 3: Yeah, fill it up with water everywhere.
- 58:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, let it dry.
- 58:37Speaker 3: Not for me, may forget it.
- 58:39Speaker 5: Let me just mouthwash, let me just ruin my teeth, well,
- 58:43Speaker 5: mouthwash ruin my teeth.
- 58:44Speaker 3: No, I'm saying, let me ruin my teeth.
- 58:46Speaker 2: By you need to get on Google.
- 58:48Speaker 3: I think I don't think it's going to ruin it.
- 58:50Speaker 3: You're killing all the bacteria okay, good. Uh. I can't
- 58:56Speaker 3: imagine they're being an issue with that.
- 58:58Speaker 2: Okay.
- 58:59Speaker 4: I mean I wonder, I hope not. I hope not.
- 59:02Speaker 4: But also I can't I don't know if having those
- 59:04Speaker 4: kind of chemicals in your mouth every day.
- 59:06Speaker 3: Right, they're very strong, they're bacteria killers.
- 59:10Speaker 2: Use alcohol free.
- 59:12Speaker 3: That's great, okay, but what is in there? That's so strong.
- 59:15Speaker 3: That's not alcohol.
- 59:17Speaker 5: I don't know, but I really liked the packaging of it.
- 59:21Speaker 5: I think I've showed it to you. It was a
- 59:22Speaker 5: dentist who created it because his daughter's breath was so
- 59:25Speaker 5: stinky and the bottle.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Roaster get her.
- 59:32Speaker 3: Is this like a doctor Bronner situation with all of
- 59:34Speaker 3: the story on the little bit? Yeah, okay, and I
- 59:37Speaker 3: like it.
- 59:37Speaker 2: I feel like the dentist is right at.
- 59:39Speaker 3: Home with me his poor daughter. I know, right, that's awful.
- 59:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:45Speaker 3: Wow, he's truly exploiting her in the biggest way. I'm
- 59:49Speaker 3: not only making money but being mean.
- 59:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:52Speaker 3: I hope she sued. Oh well, is there anything left
- 59:56Speaker 3: we should say about tattoos, hats or doo?
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: Get a tattoo? Okay, where do you onorant? If you're
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: in the sun, you should wear a hat. I don't
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: know why we strayed from parasols.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: I know is awesome, right wait?
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: Yeah, oh, let me see tootsy ra.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Let me see too, Zeerra.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: We just talked about tootsy rolls on the podcast. Really, yes,
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: and I was saying they're nobody's favorite candy.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: I actually like a tuttsy roll.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: I don't. Yeah, it's like kind of a candy that
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: doesn't need to exist because if they went away, know,
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: nobody would be like, well that was my favorite.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: It's true the fruit ones that they make.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: I prefer the fruit interesting.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever had the fruits.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: Oh, the orange and lime delicious.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: They're kind of like very accurate to the flavors despite
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: being around for probably since the seventies or something, you know,
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: like it feels like good fruit flavors only are It's
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: like a modern science.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Do you like runs?
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: I love a run I think we just talked about
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: this on the podcast because I love it. Feels like
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: chewing on a bead.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: Yes, all's dangerous, but like you're not supposed to. Exactly
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: am I eat eating beads Mummy had on her.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: Necklace right exactly?
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: I know people were like crunching them. I just like
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: suck them until they go, oh.
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: No, no, no, you crunching them so hard you think
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: your teeth are in a bridge.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: That's why I don't. I'm worry I'm hurting my tea.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: But I love a runt outside of the banana flavor.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: See, I love the banana flower. And we just talked
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: about this.
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: It's based on not the banana strain we have now,
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: it's based on the gross Michelle strain of banana.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Wow, we don't have anymore.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: No, everyone hated it so much.
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: Well, no, you can still get them, but they don't
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: you can't.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: Wait.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: I think you get them at like a farmer's market
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: or a specialty market, but I don't think you'll be
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: able to find them, just like at the Gelsons.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: I want to try one of those. I mean, I
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: hate that flavor, but I would be curious to see
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: what the original thing is.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: Also, like maybe spread out in an actual banana, right,
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: which tastes better than like in.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: A compacted, concentrated Yeah, just hitch you. Yeah, it's really
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: it feels unnatural to eat.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: I love them.
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: I do not like bananas, but I love a.
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: Banana run interesting and I love breaking them like I'm
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: like I'm eating a real band.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: That's I mean, it's Unfortunately they're the best shape because
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: you can really play with that one.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Boy, I gotta go get some runs. Do you ember
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: fun dip?
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Yeah? Of course, but the dip was discovered the stick
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: was gross. Well yeah, root beer flavored or something.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: No, the white one.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: Yeah, the white stick was like root beer. Right then
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: the dip was delicious. Nicole loved the stick.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: I sometimes not even eat the dip hard and just
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: eat the sticks.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: It's like a nail file that tastes like roots.
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: I don't know if it tastes like root maybe maybe
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: that's why I like it, but I will. I would
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: just eat the sticks, and if I had two packs,
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: I would save one stick for dipping and then just
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: straight up eat the Wow.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: I would just pour the dust into my mouth.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Oh, how I'm civilized totally.
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: Another See, we could be good because you could just
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: take the dust and I'll take your stacks.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: Exactly what if it dust and.
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: I'll take your sticks? What a wild thing to say?
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: Yeah, fun dip. Do they still make it?
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: I think so.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: It's probably one of those things you have to go
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: to like a real specialty candy store to get. At
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: this point, it probably costs like nine dollars. It's like,
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: what am I doing with my life?
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Well, should I eat my TOATSA? Why did you bring
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: the TOTSI roll? Just for fun?
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: So I put your gifts in the bag, my little
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: aftercare bag from my tattoo, and when I was thinking
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: of gifts to give, I was like, well, I'm never
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: going to return that because I never returned anything to Amazon.
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: And I was like, oh, I will bring the little
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: Tattoo card and then that was in there and I said,
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: I bring that too.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: Oh very nice. I'm actually not gonna eat it right now.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: No one wants to hear me chew on a totty roll. Okay,
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: you ask for it, watch what you wish for, and.
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: Will common are gonna be like we hated that?
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: And the totsy pop is under the same umbrella as
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: how many likens the owl? I like that owl one
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: two three, three, Wow, we know that commercial?
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: Love it. I'm really enjoying the Oh I'm so glad.
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: I feel that they only come out around Halloween. I
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: guess they're always out, but no one really pays attention to.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: Do you think the person who created that commercial still
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: gets some sort of like residuals?
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: No way, or like.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: The holiday commercial for the Hershey Kisses where it's ring
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: a ding d.
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: How do residuals and commercials work if you create them,
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: like if you write them, I.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Feel like you get nothing right. I feel like the
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: commercial world is pretty cut throat. Yeah, although if you're
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: in a commercial you get residuals, yeah sort of, but you.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: Know what, they probably don't.
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: They're probably like at a like an ad agency, right
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: doing their job.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: Yeah, and then.
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: The only thing you get in residuals is like going
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: to holiday parties. And when it comes on it's like
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: I did that.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: I'd be proud to say I made the owl.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: Me too.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: It's an icon. He's a Nicon, Nicole. I just want
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: to also say, you should return your things to Amazon.
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: This company. I know, we've got to exploit them as
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: much as possible. I know, and it's you know, drive
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: it over to wherever and return it. They're taking advantage
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: of you.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: They are.
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: But I did just cancel my prime so I can
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: be more so I was, and I was like, I'm
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: gonna I would just order things.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: Of course, and then where is Why isn't it here?
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: Don't I?
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: And then I was like, why am I being like this?
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: Why am I so annoyed when like things aren't shipping
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: fast enough? And I was like, also, I would just
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: order things because of the free shipping. So I'm hoping
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: I become more intentional with what I order, and I
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: don't order as much garbage.
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: That's really a smart way to set a boundary for yourself.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: I'm trying because I just feel like we're zipping through
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: life and being angry and ordering whatever we want, creating garbage,
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: and I don't want to obviously, I'll be a part
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: of it a little bit like I don't want to
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: be fully part of it.
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: Yeah, finding any tiny way to not be part of it,
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: I think is probably smart.
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: I would love to like buy things in stores, but
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: stores don't have things anymore.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: But then I have to be like, I'm sorry, can
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: you get me?
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: That mess scare and it's like understaff, so you have
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: to wait forever someone to come back.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: I want to leave bothering some poor employee. They just
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: wants to be looking at their phone, and they should
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: be able to they should. I'm so glad I'm past
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: the time of the jobs I had where I could
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: have looked at my phone, because the temptation to be
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: on your phone at that sort of job must be on,
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: oh my gosh, just over the top. Yes, And then
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: if you have to just stand there and not look
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: at it and be bored at your cash register, or.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Whatever where you can't even sit down.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: They will you sit down?
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: Why don't we let Cashi's ridiculous?
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: Is so strange, although I guess you know, all the
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: science are about sitting down and how it's dangerous or whatever. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: so maybe standing nice have an option? Yeah, like there
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: should be a chair that appears every fifteen.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Minutes for a few minutes, a chair break. I think
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: at aldis they're allowed to sit.
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: Oh interesting, they should be able to sit on one of
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: those like lifeguard chairs, so they're above.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: The Oh that's nice, you get all that.
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: I should have a stick to move the items. Make
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: it fun, or the conveyor belt should.
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: Go up to them, and that's you know, nice fun architecture.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: Right, this is how we revive brick and mortar again.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: I want to see it ride that right, make.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: It deeply complicated. Well, I think we should play a game.
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: We're gonna play a game called Gift or a curve. Sorry,
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: but what.
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: I keep gasping and I don't know why.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: I keep pulling a gun. The listener doesn't know. But
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: I think we should play a game. I needed a
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: number between one and ten from YouTube?
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Did she ala?
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: And then do we have to Is it one number
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: that we both agree on or two numbers?
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: It's simply not important enough. Great, Okay, I have to
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: do some like calculating with that number. So right now,
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: you can promote, recommend, do whatever you want. I'll be
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: right back.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: Oh, we have.
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: A podcast called best Friends.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: I almost just said, what should we promote? You know
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: we're here to promote our podcast. Yes, best Friends. It's
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: on Headgum.
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: So we release everyone every Wednesday. We take listener questions.
- 1:08:42Speaker 5: You can email us, you can call us.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: We have video episodes on YouTube now.
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, and we're having a great time. We took
- 1:08:49Speaker 5: a little hiatus no' back. Hiatus.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: You're saying that perfectly. It's a wild word, hiatus hiatus.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: It requires a like real knowledge of vowel. Yeah, because
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: it should be hiatus, hiatus, hiatus, hiatus hiatus. It is
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: like kind of a sleek, fashionable word to say hiatus.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: I wonder if it's derivative of like a different language.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: Sure, that's franchatus feels Greek or something. It was pretty
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: like bare bones Greek. I am going to look that up.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: Hiatus hiatus.
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: Yes, let's see here. Hiatus etymology from Latin.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Yeah, of course, it's a lot of root words are
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: from the Latin.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: Yes, okay, and I should uh. While we're promoting Listener,
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: we have new merch on exactly right store dot com.
- 1:09:46Speaker 5: Can I just say, I love that you said listener,
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: like one person.
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: This controversy, This has been a big controversy because the listener,
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: they all feel like there should be a name, you know,
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: like people fan names or whatever. And there have been
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: various things. And I recently pitched that they should be
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: called secret wives, and a lot of people responded in
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: a good way. But then other people said things like
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: gifties or whatever. But I think secret wives wives is fun.
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: I would love to be a secret wife.
- 1:10:18Speaker 5: I would yeah, keep me a secret, caught me out
- 1:10:20Speaker 5: every now and again.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Have you seen Hunting Wives?
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: I saw the first episode. It's wild. Boy, Oh boy,
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: it's a wild show.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: I finished it.
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: It is top to bottom, one of the wildest pieces
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: of media I've ever watched.
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I need to finish it. It's I wouldn't say
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: that it's quality. I wouldn't say that it's like a.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: It's fun.
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: Yeah, juicy, truly choices were made, the wigs.
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: Not.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: I don't want to be rude to the person who
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: worked very hard.
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: They're probably gonna rush.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: They Yes, let's not rush the wigeticians.
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: Yes, let's not rush the hair department because those lines,
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: the hairlines were hard.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: You're going to get hunting wise.
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: I have another thing to promote, well, you do really?
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: Oh watch Long Story Short? Oh yes, a cartoon that came.
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: On Netflix for Lisa head A Walt.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, Long Story Short.
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: I think it came out the twenty second of August,
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: but all episode season one are streaming now.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: Oh, very nice. People seem to be loving the show.
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: Yes, it's had such a positive response, and that's just you.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: Know, lovely. Of course, it's it's so sad.
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: When people are like painted it and you're like, all right,
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: worked hard on it.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: Why do you hate it?
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: Speaking of Lisa, the tattoo I want to get is
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: a drawing she did of my dog. I loveday. But
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: it's all coming together. It's all Long Story short. Everybody
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: go watch that. Listen to the podcast.
- 1:11:48Speaker 5: Watch the podcast, and I also have another podcast called
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: why Won't You Date Me?
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: Also on I Never Heard of It?
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: And another podcast called ninety Day Bay. When does this
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: come out?
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: September or something.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: Okay, you missed our live show for ninety.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: Day Bay, what day of September?
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: No, it's August thirty.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: First, forget it.
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: We're having a guest. His name is Sarper. He's from
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: the ninety eight universe. He's been on the show. He's
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: going to do stand up. Oh wow, it should typewriter. Okay, well,
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: maybe you get the because I think it's up for
- 1:12:20Speaker 5: two weeks after so maybe still streaming tickets are two weeks.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: I just emailed Dynasty saying how long does the live
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: stream last after the live show? And now I've got
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: my answer before they've responded two weeks. Two weeks, so
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: hopefully they can watch that. And uh, okay, I think
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: we've promoted everything several times. Great. This is how we
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: play Gift a Curse. I'm going to name three things,
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: and you're each going to tell me if it's a
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: gift or a curse and why. Then i'll tell if
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: you're right or wrong. And you're kind of competing with
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: each other, and I have the true answers, so be careful,
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: be very careful, and this will drive you apart. Okay.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Number one this is from one of our Patreon listeners
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: Web someone named web gift or a curse Panda Express, like.
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: A gift card or like actual food from Panda Express.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: All website was Panda ex Express.
- 1:13:11Speaker 5: I think they mean the food, and I think it's
- 1:13:14Speaker 5: a gift. If you want Chinese food and a pinch.
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: You're in the mall, the Burbank mall, walking around, you said, ooh,
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: I got a hangering for fried rice.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: But I don't have a lot of coin in my pocket.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: I'm going to Pan Express. I don't love Panic Express.
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: Sure, but for others gift, Okay, I would say curse
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: because it feels like this person wants you to shit
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: your pants.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: I feel like if.
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: They really wanted to get you some Chinese food, there's
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: so many, so many options other than Panda Express, and
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: it feels like maybe it was a rushed gift or
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: a last minute Maybe they were walking through the mall
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: they're like, eh, this, yeah, it's been very thoughtful.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: How to say curse?
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: So shere's correct. It's a curse. Okay, And look, Nicole,
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: I totally understand what you're saying. But I feel like
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: Panda Express has a real responsibility. All I ever want,
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: I mean there's those times where you're like, I basically
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: want mall Chinese food, and unfortunately Panda Express has dropped
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: the ball on quality. They've taken over every mall with
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: their brand and it's just not that good. But that
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: when that type of Chinese food has done well, Oh
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: what a great junk food to eat. You know, it's
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: like fried orange chicken, fried rice. I want that so badly.
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: I mean the mall and my only option is Panda Express.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: It's airport food. They've got to do better.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: I've got to do better.
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: Okay, so Shira's ahead. Number two. This is from another
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: one of our Patreon listeners, Vanessa. Gift or a curse.
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: When a stranger uses hand gestures to help.
- 1:14:47Speaker 6: You park, an absolute curse. Get the fuck away from me.
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: Either I'll do it or I won't. It's none of
- 1:14:59Speaker 6: your business.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Go away.
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: It happened to me pretty recently. I saw a spot
- 1:15:07Speaker 5: definitely very very tiny. My car ended up touching both
- 1:15:10Speaker 5: cars that I parked in between, and this man came
- 1:15:13Speaker 5: out of his home to go, you won't fit there,
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: you won't fit there, And I said, watch.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: Me if I spent twenty minutes getting into that spot,
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: get away, go home, go inside, get off my back. Dude,
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: that's a curse. I agree.
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: I would also say a curse mostly for the embarrassment.
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: Don't look at me while I'm doing this, Like anytime
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: anyone watches me do a thing that requires skill or concentration,
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: I fuck up. Whether it's parking or or organizing something
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: or like if it's a delicate thing, I don't want
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: to know you can see me, so please you can
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: actually help me by walking away.
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: Oh, pulling up in front of a restaurant to park.
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: And then everyone's like turning like they stopped literally stop eating,
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: stop talking to you.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: Oh ak to what you're doing.
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: Please, so curse from both of them. Yes, you both
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: get that point. Curse mind your own business, get out
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: of here. I don't know if they're trying to sabotage
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: you trust this person. What if they do want you
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: to run into something? I agree, right now, guess it faster.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: Uh yeah, so curse, mind your own business, get out
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: of here. If it's somebody I know.
- 1:16:28Speaker 6: Sure, unless I've asked, yes, don't yeah.
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: Okay, so uh let's see two to one. Interesting okay,
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: and now this is from an anonymous person. This must
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: have come from an Instagram Live person. Gift your a curse?
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: Someone shaving their beard after they've had it for years, I'm.
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: Gonna say a curse. Why you tricked us? We all
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: got used to a certain face. Who is this person?
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: You've changed and sometimes changes for the better a lot
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: of times not a lot of times. The beard is
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: hiding something and now you've revealed it and we have
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: Now we have to be the judge of if we
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: like it or not.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: So I say, stick to your roots.
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: Literally, yeah, curse, don't cut that shit off. No, because
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: I feel like people with facial hair usually go through
- 1:17:27Speaker 5: life without facial hair. They're like, I'm gonna shave it,
- 1:17:29Speaker 5: and then they grow a beard and everyone goes, oh
- 1:17:31Speaker 5: my god, Diva.
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: You look so good.
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: Yes, you never looked better, and why are you trying
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: to go back to what you look like all regular
- 1:17:39Speaker 5: and shit?
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: No, curse, it's a curse. Absolutely. I feel like, if
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: you've had a beard for less than two weeks, you
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: can you're free to shave it off. But after that
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: point we've all gotten used to it. Yeah, we all
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: have enough to deal with already. We don't need to
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: readjust to your face. So keep it. You're trapped with
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: that thing unless you're like witness protection moving to another
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: country and we'll never see anybody. If you're going to
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: cut chop your beard off, chop shave it off, you
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: have to cut everyone out of your life.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Yes, I agree, because I.
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: Don't want to see your face. Yeah, it's so und fair.
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: Also have you seen those videos where like dad shave
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: their beards and their babies start crying. Yeah, it's like
- 1:18:18Speaker 4: because you're a different person. Yeah, that's the instinct adults
- 1:18:21Speaker 4: have too. We just are nice about it, but it's like, yeah,
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: who is this?
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: Who's the person's house? Who is this?
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: Right? Right? Well, Nicole, you lost.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: Yes, and that's okay everything try.
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: And you made some beautiful points.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: And you defended Panda Express.
- 1:18:40Speaker 5: I will say I did say Pana Express is a
- 1:18:43Speaker 5: is not a gift to me.
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: Right right, but someone in my life.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: It's not a personal endorsement. It's just that if you
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: like it. Yes, And I think we should close all
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: of them down unless I feel like they need to
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: get on the ball. Now. Analys has their gift O
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: a caurse they're going to do one and we all
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: have to speak to it and they have their answer,
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: you know, just to be fair on at least, what
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: are we talking about today?
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: Gift or a curse?
- 1:19:09Speaker 7: When the Traders win on the Traders.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: Oh interesting? Do you want to go? Or should I go?
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: You can go.
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: When the Traders win on the Traders, I think it's
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: a gift. I think it's nice to see evil win.
- 1:19:27Speaker 3: It's also the point of the show. When people on
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: the Traders get upset about being betrayed or any of that,
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: I think you must be a nightmare in real life.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: You're playing a game and you're still upset about the
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: rules of the game and how it's supposed to be played.
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: I want to see the Traders win. I want to
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: see everyone get betrayed and some sneaky villain when I
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: will say, I kind of dropped off with the Traders
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: when they started bringing in celebrities. I want to see
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: real people betray each other. And I think they're doing
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: a new season like that, so I'm excited. But I'd
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: like to see a Trader win. Why not the villain
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: always more exciting.
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: I've only watched one season where the Faithful's one. I
- 1:20:06Speaker 5: would like to see a Trader win because I guess
- 1:20:09Speaker 5: I could.
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: I could go back and watch it.
- 1:20:11Speaker 5: But yeah, the game is lying to people's faces. And
- 1:20:15Speaker 5: if you can lie so good, you're a sociopath. And
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: also you deserve to win.
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: I don't want to see a bunch of dorks win.
- 1:20:23Speaker 5: See someone pure evil in money. So yeah, a gift, right, Yes,
- 1:20:33Speaker 5: the trader's winning a gift.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I would agree.
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: I also want to see a trader when I like
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: when people who are good at something, when like American Idol.
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: You know, if someone has a good voice, we want.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: To see them win.
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: If someone is skilled at building a house, we want
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: to see them win. Someone is skilled at tricking people
- 1:20:50Speaker 4: what they should win. Yes, they executed their talents in
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: a way that was better than everybody else, so they
- 1:20:57Speaker 4: should win.
- 1:20:58Speaker 5: And when they do a normal since season, if a
- 1:21:01Speaker 5: trader wins, we all know to stay away from that
- 1:21:04Speaker 5: normal person because they're not normal.
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: But Nicole, this is where I disagree. I think they're
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: just playing the rules of the game. Yes, they've been
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: given permission to be a psycho.
- 1:21:12Speaker 5: Yes, But I think normal people when they go on
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: television and act the part and they're the villain and
- 1:21:20Speaker 5: they're like wild, I'm like that was deep in you
- 1:21:22Speaker 5: and you wanted to unleash that.
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: You don't.
- 1:21:25Speaker 5: I don't think you're nice to people in your life.
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: I think this is me just trying to defend myself
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: because I think I would win the game as a Trader.
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: I also think I would.
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: I think you would.
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: I think I would.
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: I think it's just like, well, I know how to
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: work the game, and I've been given permission. In real life.
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: You can't be a psycho. You have to be nice
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: to people. Yeah, and I'm surrounded by psychos playing Traders
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: in real life. I'm like, save it for NBC or
- 1:21:50Speaker 3: for NBC.
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: Don't do you think into relationships have ended after a
- 1:21:54Speaker 4: Trader one and they're.
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: Like, interesting, you played that way too well, or like
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: in a few years after someone does get murdered and
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: they do the dateline, that will be the first red
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: flag of the family will be talking about, like and
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: he really loved that the Traders was there was s Yeah, well,
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: uh on a least, what do you think.
- 1:22:14Speaker 7: We're all gonna end up on dateline? Because you know what,
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: it's a gift, nice, good nice. You know, it's so
- 1:22:21Speaker 7: so rare, you know, it's so rare to see the
- 1:22:23Speaker 7: bad guy win in real life, you know, like we
- 1:22:25Speaker 7: were always seeing good things happen in this world. You know,
- 1:22:28Speaker 7: why not just let some bad things happen every once
- 1:22:30Speaker 7: in a while.
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: The point of reality TV exactly watching horrible do horrible
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: people do horrible things non stop.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: Do you watch Love Island?
- 1:22:37Speaker 5: No?
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: I mean, how many episodes are there?
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: I don't know. Apparently there's like one every day or
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: something like that.
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: Like you have to retire in order to watch it.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: So how these people are watching?
- 1:22:47Speaker 5: I haven't seen it either, but I keep seeing like
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: memes and like these people seem like fun.
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: I'm like, I think I gotta start watching it.
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: It's just like it feels like a job you watching.
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: No I have.
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: I don't. I don't even know where to find it.
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: I know, I don't know where to find from Teacock,
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: of course, but so many people I know do watch it.
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: I'm like, I guess maybe they're just better with time management.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: They're like, okay, and I check in to watch Love
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: Island for an hour every day, and then I get
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: to talk to my friends about it, and every time
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: that gets brought up, I just have to back away
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: because I'm like, well, I know it's like weird people
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: having sex with each other on.
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: A night hot people fucking and then like being vaguely offensive.
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: Maybe I don't know.
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: Right, Great, well, this is the final segment of the podcast.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: We need to answer listener email people writing into I
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: said no gifts at gmail dot com, or they're sending
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: voice notes for finally getting some voice notes you have.
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: They have to be sixty seconds long and in a
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: quiet room. So just keep those two things in mind.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: If you're capable of those two things, you can send
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: in a voice note.
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: It has to be at least sixty seconds No, just.
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: Under Oh okay, it has to be at least two
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: hours long.
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: To be in New York City in the middle of
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: the street.
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: Under sixty seconds long. But we're gonna read one today.
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: Will you help me answer listener question? Yes, okay, this
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: is highbridger and well meaning but disrespectful guest. We'll put
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: an s on there. Guests, I absolutely hate talking on
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: the phone, and yet there are some people in my
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: life who want nothing more than to be on the phone.
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: The worst is when you're texting with someone and they
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: just jump right into calling you in the middle of
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: your text exchange. If it's during the workday, I often
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: REPLI sorry and a meeting, can't talk. But how do
- 1:24:27Speaker 3: I curb these people from calling at all without being
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: totally rude? Sincerely, Beth?
- 1:24:33Speaker 4: Well, if you actually are working, or if it is
- 1:24:35Speaker 4: the workday, yeah, that's a that's an acceptable boundary to place.
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: Maybe are there hours where this person is okay having
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: phone calls, Like from five.
- 1:24:46Speaker 5: To eight, I six hours for phone calls.
- 1:24:50Speaker 4: Sign if you really are like working a nine to
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: five and you're like, I'm okay texting, but I truly
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: don't have the capacity to have a phone.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: Call right now.
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: Right're like, yeah, I get off to work at five
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: for whatever, and then I want to start like winding
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: down for bed around eight thirty. So within those hours
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: I could take a call, but please don't try to
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: call me after that or before during the day because
- 1:25:13Speaker 4: I will be at work.
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: This person seems like they don't want to talk on
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: the phone at all. Phone calls, Yeah, especially in the
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: middle of do either of you do that you're texting?
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: And so I feel like that that's one place I
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: actually kind of makes sense when you're like, oh, actually,
- 1:25:26Speaker 3: I just need to explain this and we're already communicating. Yeah,
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: a random call is a little bit tougher, but a
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: random FaceTime is no.
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: No, a random face time is so scary. Why do
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: you want to see me such a.
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: That's always I'm like, ah, why, Yeah, this person seems
- 1:25:45Speaker 5: like they don't want to be on the phone at all.
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: I think close friends you can just be like, hey,
- 1:25:49Speaker 5: I'm really only talking on the phone.
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: Do you mind if we just keep it to text?
- 1:25:53Speaker 5: People who aren't as close, I think you can absolutely
- 1:25:57Speaker 5: be like, oh, I can't talk right now.
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: I would just constantly I can't talk, and.
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: Eventually they'll learn or just become so unpleasant to everyone
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: in your life that they don't try calling you. Yeah,
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: or get rid of the phone if you don't want it, Yeah,
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: got your emails.
- 1:26:10Speaker 5: Sorry, I have a phone here, Lie to everybody.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: I don't have a phone plan. I only have a
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: text plan there. I don't have voice calls on this phone.
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: I'm so sorry, God, bless.
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: That should be offered. It should be, but I mean,
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: I'm sure Beth would be first in line. But yeah,
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: I feel like all she has to do is just
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: be rude, unpleasant to coworkers of friends. So slowly cut
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: people out of her life, maybe betray her family. There's
- 1:26:37Speaker 3: there's so many ways to get people to stop communicating
- 1:26:40Speaker 3: with you, and why not just go for the throat.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: Or maybe just always have your phone on do not disturb.
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: That's what I do. Yeah, it's frustrating for some people
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: in my life, and they can deal with it.
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: That is That is good.
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: The phone on my terms feels incredible, except for a
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: Caationally you're like, oh, well, now this is annoying because
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: I have to call them back and whatever.
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: But Beth will not call back calling call Yeah, and
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: then if it stays on do not disturb, they'll call back.
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: Oh did you call again? You gotta tell me what
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: it is. Yeah, what's going on? Tell me?
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: And I guess you can turn on turn on, do
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: not to serve for particular people, right.
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: Yeah, if you have it like where if you only
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: want certain calls or texts from certain people, they can
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: be in a group or that it'll go through they
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: do not serve, right, Everybody else goes straight to voicemail.
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: I want it so I can assign when particular people call,
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: they hear a loud piercing scream or some some horrible noise. Wow,
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: just teach people a lesson. I don't know. That's a
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: new feature Apple should look into. They still haven't changed
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: the photos on the iPhone. Do they readd the photo app?
- 1:27:52Speaker 3: And it's horrible.
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: I hate it. I don't like it. I've gotten used
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: to it, but I don't like it. I'm still I
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: don't mind anything.
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: I don't understand why they can changing ship like that.
- 1:28:01Speaker 3: It wasn't want that worked for everyone. Yeah, you know,
- 1:28:04Speaker 3: it's chaos.
- 1:28:05Speaker 5: Honestly, what they should do is come out with like
- 1:28:07Speaker 5: iPhone original and it's just the way it.
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: Was just a classic. The company should be ashamed.
- 1:28:16Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:28:16Speaker 3: Really a bad move on their part. But maybe this
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: podcast will make the difference. Tim Cook reach out. Uh, well,
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: I've got my gifts. I will do with them as
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: I please. Although you will be getting your bag back.
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: We know you're getting the back back.
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: I need that bag back.
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: It's my grocery bag.
- 1:28:35Speaker 3: I'm doing this on camera.
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: Oh thank you, proof it's happening. What are you talking about?
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: You don't go grocery shopping.
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: I love grocery shopping.
- 1:28:44Speaker 5: I don't because I get too hungry and then I
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: buy the things I don't need.
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: But it's so fun wandering around the store and seeing
- 1:28:51Speaker 3: all the products.
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: I'll just over buy. I have so much rock and
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: food in my house.
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: Oh interesting, see, I don't buy it. My fridge is
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: essentially empty, so there are only a few things I
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: do buy, and then I just get to look at things,
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: have my little trip.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: But then I'll just buy everything.
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: Go ahead and buy anything.
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: Last time I was in Albertson's, the ritz Bits peanut
- 1:29:17Speaker 5: butters were so far back that I had to wait
- 1:29:19Speaker 5: for a toll to walk through the aisle.
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: And I said, what can you reach that for me?
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: I don't want to go through that.
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: It just how you meet people, asking them to reach
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: shelves for you.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: Okay, I have all the friends. Okay, Beth, come.
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: Well, thank you both for being here. Thank you and listener,
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: the podcast is over. That's your problem, not mine. I
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: am moving on with my day. I've had my TUTSI roll.
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: I have to get home and sit around, So get
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: on with your life. I love you, goodbye, I said.
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: No Gifts is an exactly right production. Our senior producer
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: is on Alise Nelson, and our episodes are beautifully mixed
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: by Ben Holliday. The theme song is by miracle Worker
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: Amy Mann and we couldn't do it without our booker,
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: Patrick Cottner. You must follow the show on Instagram. At
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: I said no gifts, that's where you're going to see
- 1:30:20Speaker 3: pictures of all these wonderful gifts I'm getting. And don't
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: you want to see the gifts in?
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: Why did you hear? Funna Man myself perfectly clear? When
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: you're a guest to me, you gotta come to me empty.
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: And I said, no guests, your presences presence in and
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: I already too much stuff, So how do you dare
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: to survey me
