- 0:03catching the Super Heavy booster after launch, the next booster
- 0:07in the lineup, Booster 13, has now been moved to the Star base
- 0:11pad in Boca Chica, Texas. Now, both this booster and its
- 0:15Companionship 31 have already undergone cryogenic testing,
- 0:20pressure testing, and static fire test, preparing them for
- 0:23Starship's sixth flight. This new and rapid timeline
- 0:28marks a departure from the usual six week gap required between
- 0:32launches at Starbase. Flight 5, which launched on
- 0:35October 13th of 2024, was followed by the move of Booster
- 0:4013 to the pad just 11 days later.
- 0:44This short interval is a new benchmark for SpaceX, indicating
- 0:47potential improvements in the ability to prepare the launchpad
- 0:51for successful launches. Now, Spacex's goal for each
- 0:55Starship flight includes rigorous pre launch checks, with
- 0:59static fire tests being central to ensuring the booster's
- 1:02readiness. And in a static fire, the
- 1:05booster's engines are ignited while it remains secured to the
- 1:08pad, testing the integrity of the rocket's engines and other
- 1:12systems under launch conditions. SpaceX engineers analyze the
- 1:17data gathered during these tests to confirm that both the booster
- 1:21and the ground systems can withstand the high stresses of
- 1:24launch. SpaceX appears to have
- 1:26implemented technical changes that streamline the process,
- 1:29whether through enhancements to ground structure infrastructure,
- 1:32including cryogenically and pressure testing the booster at

- 2:14a stacking. Now, the smooth execution of
- 2:16these tests is essential for validating the rocket's
- 2:19performance ahead of the next major flight milestone.
- 2:23Static fire tests also helps SpaceX engineers identify and
- 2:27address any possible issues that might arise during an actual
- 2:31launch, reducing risks and enhancing mission success rates.
- 2:35Following a successful static fire, SpaceX undertakes a
- 2:38thorough inspection and analysis phase to confirm the booster and
- 2:42the ship are launch ready. Engineers carefully review data
- 2:45collected during the static fire, focusing on engine
- 2:48performance, pressure levels, and structural responses to the
- 2:52high stress environment simulated during ignition.
