- 0:34Welcome to this episode of the Justice Team Podcast on the Justice Team Network.
- 0:37I'm your host, Bob Simon, and I'm here to talk to you about.
- 0:40A man that one runs one of the most efficient law firms in America, came
- 0:44to us from the state of Maryland today, and he also was wise enough to start
- 0:48a legal technology company to first to enhance the operations of his law
- 0:53firm to make things more efficient.
- 0:55And now they have over a hundred law firms on the platform.
- 0:58Josh, welcome.
- 0:59Thanks a lot for having me, Bob.
- 1:00Really appreciate it.
- 1:01So first, let everybody know what your law firm is,
- 1:03Zukin and Schmeling Law in Maryland.
- 1:04We're in Baltimore, we're also in, uh, Anne Arundel County
- 1:07in Maryland.
- 1:08Um, and the firm, correct me, I'm not, but you guys have actually changed
- 1:11the law on dog bite cases in Maryland.
- 1:13Yes, that's right.
- 1:14So, uh, we've won a couple of decisions that got appealed and on
- 1:17appeal, uh, it further expanded the dog bite law throughout Maryland
- 1:20for injured victims, uh, throughout Maryland, which we're really proud of.
- 1:23But what is, isn't Maryland like one of the weird states that has weird laws on,
- 1:27like if you're injured and stuff, could you just educate everybody about that?
- 1:30Yeah, sure.
- 1:31Happy to.
- 1:31So, so Maryland has contributory negligence.
- 1:33Uh, so if you're 1% at fault in Maryland, you collect zero on a case.
- 1:36Zero,
- 1:37zero.
- 1:38So if you're, if you get rear-end and they're like, well, you
- 1:40stop too short a little bit and you're 1% at fault, you get zero
- 1:43In theory, you know, you could be crossing a street, not be in the crosswalk,
- 1:47and doesn't matter, you get hit zero.
- 1:50So it's wild.
- 1:51So we have some bad laws there and we had some really bad dog
- 1:54bite laws, uh, for a while.
- 1:55And not, not to bore you with all the back and forth, but the
- 1:57law changed a lot over the years.
- 1:59Um, but one thing that was still out there that was a really bad law was.
- 2:03You know, a delivery driver, let's say you're a UPS driver,
- 2:05Amazon delivery driver.
- 2:07You deliver a package and someone's dog is out in the yard and bites you.
- 2:10Well, in Maryland, that homeowner, that dog owner would
- 2:12not have been at fault for that.
- 2:14And um, so it's crazy.
- 2:16Um, so on appeal, the appellate court of Maryland actually took the case
- 2:21that we had and further expanded on the law, uh, which is a pretty new law.
- 2:25It's a new law that went into effect in the last 10 years.
- 2:27Mm-hmm.
- 2:27And basically said that.
- 2:29No, there is, uh, strict liability.
- 2:31An dog could be running at large on your own property if it attacks somebody.
- 2:35So now all those cases, now when you have a delivery driver going to
- 2:37somebody's home are now strict liability.
- 2:39But is, but I mean, if you think that should make sense because
- 2:43people are coming there to give you a service to deliver a package or
- 2:45mail, and you want to incentivize people to keep their property safe.
- 2:50Exactly.
- 2:50That's exactly right.
- 2:52Um, my dad used to be a local delivery driver for UPS.
- 2:55He worked there for 35 years and.
- 2:57When you go out to the more rural places of Western Pennsylvania and central pa,
- 3:01he was like, he's like dogs, no problem.
- 3:05He's like, you know what the worst animal was?
- 3:07Fucking chickens.
- 3:09He's like, these chickens and roosters would run up and just peck your
- 3:11shins and wouldn't leave you alone.
- 3:12He is like, I'm telling you man, this is crazy.
- 3:15So that's, uh, that's changed the, uh, chicken pecking law.
- 3:18That'd have to be, that's probably strict liability, I would assume it's an animal.
- 3:21Uh, yeah.
- 3:21I think in Maryland it might be if it's, uh, kind of a
- 3:24dangerous animal off the bat.
- 3:25And maybe your dad would be an expert on that.
- 3:28He's also a trucking expert and now a chicken pecking expert.
- 3:31Chicken pecking.
- 3:32Um, yeah.
- 3:32So you have two locations.
- 3:34So tell us kind of.
- 3:36The origin story of how law pro AI kind of developed out, I assume it
- 3:40developed outta law firm out of need.
- 3:41Yes, exactly.
- 3:42So, you know, my law firm, uh, I started my law firm right outta law school.
- 3:46Uh, had no cases, had no clients, my partner and I, uh, we've been
- 3:49building it up and then we got stuck.
- 3:50Uh, our revenues were not growing, our caseloads were not growing.
- 3:54And, and even if our caseloads did grow, we didn't know what to do with
- 3:56them or how to move them along fast enough to be able to take on more cases.
- 4:00Um, and what we figured out was the, the best people in my
- 4:03office, my top paralegals, the most knowledgeable, well-trained
- 4:06paralegals were spending their days.
- 4:08Reading through medical records.
- 4:09Mm-hmm.
- 4:10And we, we decided how were we ever gonna grow if that's how we had our
- 4:13best people spending their time.
- 4:15And that's when we created Law Pro do ai, which basically takes
- 4:18all the medical records that a law firm has in personal injury.
- 4:21We upload it to our system, we create case, uh, summaries, medical chronologies.
- 4:24We pull out important information.
- 4:26We can write, you know, demand letters or calls or relationship
- 4:28letters or anything else you need.
- 4:30And, and those people in my office that were reading medical records all day, one
- 4:34of 'em now is my director of operations.
- 4:36One of 'em manages and does all the training for all of
- 4:38my paralegals in the office.
- 4:40So now we can really move a lot faster.
- 4:42My office now has, has increased by 300% in the last couple years.
- 4:45Wow.
- 4:46And we're growing like gangbusters because we don't have this holding back.
- 4:50And, and the most important thing is, and I'm sure you would agree, is
- 4:53making sure that you're not losing what you're doing for the client,
- 4:56that you're keeping the same standards that you had before while you grow.
- 4:59And that's been really important to us, is that we've kept the same standards.
- 5:01We're getting the exact same results and, and Law Pro is actually, frankly,
- 5:05helping us get better results.
- 5:06Um, so we haven't lost anything.
- 5:08We haven't lost that client touch, we haven't lost to be able to
- 5:10get, you know, fair value for our, for our injured clients.
- 5:13Um, but we're able to really grow our firm.
- 5:14Now,
- 5:15you're also probably able to speed up the ability to resolve
- 5:18cases by using these systems.
- 5:19Oh, a hundred percent cases, cases come, can, can get resolved much faster.
- 5:23We don't have to wait on people reading through medical records to
- 5:26understand the case and what to demand.
- 5:28And when we're negotiating with an adjuster, I don't have to hang
- 5:31up the phone with them every time.
- 5:32Review the, the questions that they had, why they told me the case was not
- 5:35valuable enough, and then call them back.
- 5:37I can tell 'em right on the fly, here are all the objective findings.
- 5:39They ask me a question or they're telling me why my case isn't valuable.
- 5:42I can immediately, you know, query our system and say, you know, why
- 5:45is the case have a lot of value?
- 5:46And they'll give me those answers that I can read back to 'em.
- 5:48Wow.
- 5:49So it's been really helpful for our clients, for us.
- 5:52Um, it's been a win-win.
- 5:53Yeah.
- 5:53And, and something else you said resonated is.
- 5:56Those folks that were doing.
- 5:58Look, when I started my firm by myself too, probably you as well,
- 6:00you were doing all these things and it took a lot of, a lot of time.
- 6:04You've not been able to elevate those folks that are doing that into these
- 6:08higher level managerial positions,
- 6:10correct?
- 6:11Yeah.
- 6:11And that, that's been crucial for us because if you're not layering
- 6:14kind of with your, with your people, um, a couple things happen.
- 6:17Number one, um, your best people have nowhere to go.
- 6:19So eventually they leave the firm.
- 6:21They're not gonna wanna sit there and read medical records all day.
- 6:23They'll get burned out.
- 6:24They're not gonna, they're not gonna do that.
- 6:25They need to see an ability to grow.
- 6:27Um, and so this helped us give them an ability to grow as the firm grows,
- 6:30you know, um, they get to grow.
- 6:32And, um, it's, it's just been phenomenal for, for my staff, for
- 6:36my employees, for our clients.
- 6:38So let me ask you this question.
- 6:39As a law firm owner, if you have, like, I have people that, you know, staff that
- 6:43work here, and they ask questions of, well, how can I accelerate my career?
- 6:47What are some things that I should be doing?
- 6:50Um, how do you incorporate the use of using AI into the answer to that question?
- 6:55Yeah, so, you know, first of all, I think it's really important.
- 6:57Every law firm has to have KPIs, um, and you have to have KPIs
- 7:01for every job in the law firm.
- 7:03So you can give specific metrics that each person has to hit within the law firm.
- 7:07So, so they know what they're supposed to do.
- 7:09If it's just to be in there all day and be like, oh, do as many
- 7:11cases as you can, or, you know, open up as many claims as you can.
- 7:14There's no, there's no goals there.
- 7:15There's no incentive.
- 7:16So with every single person in my office, there's KPIs and there's certain metrics
- 7:19that, and goals that we need to hit.
- 7:21Can you explain what a KPI is for reviews and
- 7:23listeners?
- 7:24Yeah, sure, sure.
- 7:24Uh, key performance indicator and a key performance indicator basically tells
- 7:28each person in my office what the goal is, what, you know, my intake team,
- 7:31how many intakes should we be signing?
- 7:33Um, what should be our percentage of sign ops?
- 7:35Um, how many cases we should not be losing per, per, you know,
- 7:39week, month, day, whatever it is.
- 7:41Those are all things that we track and you can use AI for all this stuff.
- 7:44Mm-hmm.
- 7:44Whether it's, you know, tracking, you know, um, phone numbers, where they
- 7:48came from, how well my paid ads are doing, or it's how well is my intake to
- 7:52team doing with signups and what are we doing with the information, where are
- 7:55we sending it out in terms of, to maybe other law firms, you know, to bring in
- 7:59other law firms if we don't handle the case or if it's from a different state.
- 8:02Um, law Pro for medical records.
- 8:04There's, there's AI solutions and technology nowadays for, for
- 8:07almost any part of the law firm that, that you wanna use it for.
- 8:10Yeah, and I think if anybody's, you know, we do a lot of mentors with young
- 8:14lawyers, law students and staff, and I always say, if you learn how to leverage
- 8:19technology and learn these systems, you'll probably be a very instant hire
- 8:23in add value to anywhere you want to
- 8:24go.
- 8:25Oh, a hundred.
- 8:25I, I interviewed a lawyer last week who happened to know the case management
- 8:29system that we use really well.
- 8:31Um, she built it out for a prior firm when she was a law clerk.
- 8:34And so for me, yeah, you have a job here, uh, because I know that you can
- 8:37make changes to our case management system whenever we need, and I can
- 8:40take one of my partners who does that now and take 'em off of that.
- 8:43Um, so the more that we can bring in people that can help with our technology
- 8:46and help that grow, that's just gonna, you know, put gas on the fire.
- 8:49Yeah.
- 8:50You know, if we're on our side of the coin where we're getting paid, you know,
- 8:53perhaps rather than per hour, you have to leverage these systems and be efficient.
- 8:56You have to.
- 8:57Um, so let's talk about the ethic of.
- 9:00Use of your, of of law pro ai and as a law firm owner, what steps do you take
- 9:04or do you encourage our people that are watching or listening to take to ensure
- 9:07that they're doing things ethically?
- 9:09Yeah, absolutely.
- 9:10I mean, listen, no, no system out there is gonna be a hundred percent right now.
- 9:14AI is not a hundred percent.
- 9:15If anybody tells you that they're, you know, doing everything a
- 9:18hundred percent perfect, they're just not being truthful and honest.
- 9:20So every law firm has to understand that whatever it is, whether you're citing case
- 9:24law, which law firm doesn't deal with case law, but if you are, it has to be correct
- 9:28cases, it has to be actual case law.
- 9:29Um, and it's the lawyer's job to make sure to check that.
- 9:31Same thing with the medical records.
- 9:33You have to make sure that if you're going through a chronology or case
- 9:35summary, that you can see what the sources are and Law Pro provides that.
- 9:38So anytime we write a demand or cause a relationship letter or, or
- 9:41anything you want, we have inline citations for everything that we do.
- 9:45So you can click on the citation, which will take you to the exact
- 9:47medical record so you can check it yourself to make sure it's accurate
- 9:50before you go telling an adjuster something or, or using it in court.
- 9:53Um, so it's really crucial that as lawyers, right, we,
- 9:56we are officers of the court.
- 9:58And, and we have to make sure everything we're doing is, is truthful and honest,
- 10:01even though sometimes the people on the other side of us might not be.
- 10:04Yeah.
- 10:04And so it's, it's the trust but verify thing.
- 10:06So like, you know, there's hyperlinks and there's the ability you guys have, you
- 10:10know, do the case summaries, the cause relationship, but you can click a button
- 10:13to verify the information's correct.
- 10:14And a lot of times, you know, we're.
- 10:16We're trusting our staff or whatever we're using to do that anyway.
- 10:19So you have to verify the information's correct.
- 10:21It's the same, same process, but now it's a lot faster.
- 10:23You just go click see it.
- 10:24Okay, good.
- 10:25Exactly.
- 10:25Yeah, that's exactly right.
- 10:26Um, and then what also what Law Pro does, it also has like kind of a
- 10:30query and then a highlight to show you like the objective or like the,
- 10:34the really good stuff about your case.
- 10:35So the stuff that may not be so good on, on a highlight.
- 10:38Right.
- 10:38So we wanna pull out for law firms, you know, all the positive
- 10:42and negative value drivers.
- 10:43You don't wanna waste your time in litigation doing depositions, doing
- 10:46discovery on a case that's not gonna have a lot of value, because there's a lot
- 10:49of things in the, in the medical records that are just gonna blow your case apart.
- 10:52It's important to know that from the beginning so you can have honest and real,
- 10:55real conversations with your clients.
- 10:56I mean, uh, you owe it to your client to have those conversations.
- 11:00But the other side also, you wanna pull out all the positive value drivers.
- 11:03So just a quick example from last week, I had a client that was
- 11:06injured in a dog bite, um, and had to get a wrist surgery and, um, the
- 11:10insurance company at first offered 80.
- 11:12We then got them to one 40 and they just said, I'm not going any higher.
- 11:16Well, law Pro had pulled up, um, specifically that the client woke up
- 11:19during his medical procedure, um, and, you know, then went back to sleep, but,
- 11:23but had gotten up and was actually awake while they were performing the surgery.
- 11:26Mm. And I brought that up to the adjuster and it was pulled out for me really
- 11:29clearly in Law Pro brought up to him, he said, you know, I saw a movie like
- 11:32that one time where that happened.
- 11:34It still freaks me out today.
- 11:36Lemme go reevaluate the case.
- 11:38And the case ended up settling with two more phone calls
- 11:40for a hundred thousand more.
- 11:41Wow.
- 11:42So, so just, you know, that one little piece of information
- 11:44made all the difference.
- 11:45Um, and, and that's what these value drivers can do.
- 11:47The both the positive and the negative value driver.
- 11:49Yeah.
- 11:49And one thing that LoPro does is you guys are subscription based, and I want you
- 11:53to explain it for viewers and listeners.
- 11:55'cause some people do it per run or per page, but you guys
- 11:58are straight subscription.
- 11:59Yeah, we do subscription based so that way you know what you're paying each month.
- 12:01Um, and, and you know, we're not charging you this much per demand or this much
- 12:06per this letter or this much per this.
- 12:07It's all comes in one.
- 12:08You get the whole package.
- 12:09And so that way, you know, every month, this is how much I'm paying, you
- 12:12can put all your medical records in.
- 12:13You don't have to think about it twice.
- 12:15Um, you know, as you, as you pay more, you're getting a lot more usage.
- 12:18So it's, it's cheaper as you pay more and you're doing more with us.
- 12:21Um, but, but yeah, we don't try to to to limit people or have people guess,
- 12:26you know, this is how many demands I'm gonna need this month for the rest
- 12:28of the year, you know, every month.
- 12:29Mm-hmm.
- 12:30You know, um, it's just put in whatever you guys want and,
- 12:32and we take care of the rest.
- 12:33Yeah.
- 12:33But it's not like a per case.
- 12:36Rib.
- 12:36Yeah, it's not, and I, I like it.
- 12:37So it's just, hey, you pay this amount.
- 12:39So like for a lot of litigation firms or folks that are getting sent cases
- 12:43to co-counsel refer, it usually comes with a lot of medical records and it
- 12:47takes a long time for you to review that and sees this is a case we
- 12:50wanna work on and get your timelines.
- 12:52And I think that's a huge use case for, for Law Pro, right?
- 12:55Yeah, absolutely.
- 12:56I mean, it's a perfect case where you could immediately
- 12:58know within, you know, our, our.
- 13:00Our system goes through a thousand pages in about a half hour or so.
- 13:04So if you had a thousand pages uploaded within a half an hour, you're gonna
- 13:06be able to have a really good idea.
- 13:08Is this a case that we can move forward with litigation?
- 13:10Can we not move forward?
- 13:11What are the positives?
- 13:11What are the negatives?
- 13:12Um, you know, a 5,000 page case takes about a half day, so, you
- 13:16know, you'll know very quickly and, and we can take any.
- 13:19Any size, any number of pages is all at once.
- 13:21Yeah, but what, but what are they getting in that timeframe?
- 13:23Does that come with like the timeline?
- 13:25All the stuff, everything.
- 13:26Wow.
- 13:26The,
- 13:26the whole case summary, the whole timeline.
- 13:28Being able to query and ask anything you want.
- 13:30It comes with everything already done within that timeframe.
- 13:33Wow.
- 13:33That's awesome.
- 13:34Yeah.
- 13:34It's, it's, it's in real time.
- 13:35We don't have humans on the back end.
- 13:37It's all tech-based.
- 13:38It's all based on engineering, ai, and so it, it allows the law firm
- 13:41to make a very quick decision.
- 13:42Also make sure the client isn't hanging out there in limbo.
- 13:45Like, is this firm gonna take my case?
- 13:47Are they not gonna take my case?
- 13:48We know that's a really stressful time for our clients when, when they
- 13:51don't know what's happening, when they don't know what's going on.
- 13:53This allows you to really give them comfort saying, Hey, I can move forward
- 13:56with the case or say, Hey, I can't, but I have another firm for you.
- 13:59They can.
- 13:59Yeah, and, and even if, I mean, imagine where you wanna refer a case to another
- 14:03firm for litigation or trial purposes.
- 14:04If you had your system already set to go, it makes it so much easier.
- 14:08Hey, here, like, here's all the files, here's the record.
- 14:10By the way, here's everything hyperlinked so you can see everything quickly.
- 14:13Then we would know.
- 14:14Like at my firm within 10 minutes, whether or not we could
- 14:16take that case you would know.
- 14:18That's exactly right.
- 14:19Yeah.
- 14:19We have, we have a huge firm that we work with on the East coast that they
- 14:23send out the vast majority of their cases, they don't do much litigation
- 14:26and they use us for every case.
- 14:28And when a case needs to be sent out, which the vast majority of 'em
- 14:30do, they already have, like you're saying, they have the PDF timeline with
- 14:34the hyperlinks and everything else.
- 14:35And co-counsel firms can decide immediately, yeah, we'll take this.
- 14:38We won't take this.
- 14:39Wow, that's awesome.
- 14:40So what are your, I mean, are.
- 14:43I assumed law pro AI's having hyper growth and the law firm is as well.
- 14:48So like how do you handle that man?
- 14:51Well say, I mean, I'm just asking
- 14:53you like a real question 'cause it's a lot, you know,
- 14:55nobody would know more about that than you probably, but um,
- 14:57yeah, let's, it's really hard.
- 14:59You have to have really great people working with you and you
- 15:00have to rely on those people.
- 15:02So we have an amazing team at Law Pro, uh, engineers, data scientists,
- 15:05our head of products, incredible.
- 15:07Um, so just incredible people at Law Pro.
- 15:09And then my law firm, like I mentioned, my director of operations
- 15:11who had been reading medical records before, she's amazing.
- 15:14She, like, there's no amount of, of work or issues or things I need her to
- 15:18fix or look at that she can't take on.
- 15:21And then, and, and then we've hired other managers in the office also, so,
- 15:24wow, it's having a great team of people that are really willing to work hard
- 15:27and understand why this is so important, you know, for, for a law firm, right?
- 15:31It's not just about making money, it's helping people.
- 15:33And if you went into being a law firm just to make money.
- 15:37I don't think you're gonna be super successful, and I don't think you're,
- 15:39your clients are gonna feel that also.
- 15:41So it's there to help people.
- 15:42And now Law Pro, we're helping with that same mission of being able
- 15:45to help people that are, that are helping those that are injured.
- 15:48Wow.
- 15:48So how do people find you?
- 15:50Like what's, I mean, 'cause you got the law firm side and the Law pro side.
- 15:53It's start with Law Pro.
- 15:54How do people get a hold of law
- 15:55firm?
- 15:55Law Pro easiest way is, uh, email, um, josh@lawpro.ai, uh, law firm, um, Josh
- 16:01at z and s law.com, Z as in zebra.
- 16:05A-N-D-S-L-A w.com
- 16:08man.
- 16:08I love it.
- 16:09Well, thanks for, um, thanks for coming on, man.
- 16:11And so, if anybody's out there on the, uh, conference circuit, I
- 16:15know they're gonna be at Cal Vegas.
- 16:17That's coming up over Labor Day.
- 16:18What else do you have on Slate this fall?
- 16:19Have you guys lined anything else up?
- 16:20Oh yeah, we've got a bunch of stuff coming.
- 16:22We're gonna be at the Cleo Conference.
- 16:23Yep.
- 16:23Um, and, uh, I, I think.
- 16:26I'm gonna be from end of August through middle of October every week.
- 16:30I think we have something else going on.
- 16:30Yeah, you're you're on the same, probably on the same schedule.
- 16:32Yeah.
- 16:33But if you see, if you look, just, if you're at these conferences, just look up.
- 16:36'cause Josh's about six foot 5, 6
- 16:384,
- 16:386 4, 6 5. But he always wears like cool ass kicks.
- 16:42Like I could see he has the taxi cab.
- 16:43Um, these are Jordan ones, right?
- 16:45So always has different type of Jordans on, and I'm a big fan of
- 16:49them, even though I'm wearing these.
- 16:50Uh, what are these?
- 16:51These are natives.
- 16:52These are slip-ons that my wife is sponsored by, so I also get these.
- 16:55So do the kids.
- 16:55It's a good little beach shoe look.
- 16:57It looks nice.
- 16:58Yeah, it's nice and clean.
- 16:59You can just like styrofoam or whatever.
- 17:01It's,
- 17:01you can wear this with your Steeler jerseys.
- 17:02I actually, that's what I wear every Sunday.
- 17:04I wear the taxi cabs with the Steeler jerseys, so I have
- 17:06that, uh, high and a mid.
- 17:08Oh, okay.
- 17:08So, yeah.
- 17:09Well, question is,
- 17:09what jersey do you, do you wear?
- 17:11It depends because if they lose, I switch, you know,
- 17:14superstitious, so like sometimes.
- 17:16I'll have a really good t-shirt that I wear and until they
- 17:19lose and then I'll switch.
- 17:20But like when they're in the playoffs, the Jerome Betis jersey will come out.
- 17:24Right?
- 17:24Classic.
- 17:25Um, so somebody actually came to my house and brought me an Aaron
- 17:29Rogers jersey this year to troll me.
- 17:31So I don't like how this experiment's going to go, but I, I'm more of a
- 17:34retro Steeler jersey wear when I do.
- 17:37How about you?
- 17:39I'm not a Steeler's.
- 17:39Uh oh, I know you're not.
- 17:40Uh, but I'm, I'm actually a Washington fan, so, uh, we don't have any bad
- 17:43blood between football teams here.
- 17:44Not, no, not at all.
- 17:45Uh, Jayden is the man, uh, I love watching him play and he's just, he seems like
- 17:49the best teammate you could hope for.
- 17:51And so amazing year, last year.
- 17:52I can't wait to see what this year has, has in store.
- 17:54Man.
- 17:55There was a, a guy when.
- 17:57We used to play against in high school named LaVar Arrington.
- 17:59You remember when he was, oh God, that guy was an animal.
- 18:01He was a second or third pick.
- 18:02You played against.
- 18:03Yeah, so he was, um, when he was in high school, he had a little
- 18:07younger brother named Brian, but he was the, he actually kicked off.
- 18:12He was the punter.
- 18:13He was running back and the linebacker and like, he would just annihilate
- 18:16you for the whole game, like on his special teams defense offense.
- 18:20He played in Penn State, I think.
- 18:21Yeah.
- 18:21And, and he just would destroy people.
- 18:23Yeah.
- 18:24I Did you have to hit him ever?
- 18:26I mean, no.
- 18:26I mean, imagine he was a couple years older, so I wasn't like that wedge
- 18:29year where like, but he imagine a guy that size playing against, because he
- 18:33was that size when he was like 13, 14.
- 18:36I mean, it was just not fair.
- 18:38And I remember like just watching and they would just like, literally
- 18:40just run him up the middle and he would just run over everybody.
- 18:43That's insane.
- 18:44It's insane.
- 18:44I, I would've gotten outta the way for sure.
- 18:46Yeah, we had, Terrell Pryor was in our.
- 18:48He was our, he played against my little brother, um Oh, nice.
- 18:51Darrell Rivas.
- 18:52We had a lot, a lot of big guys that came from that area.
- 18:54But yeah, my brother's famous story, Darrell Rivas, dunked on him one time.
- 18:58He was my brother Brandon.
- 19:00He was our, um, high school, actually captain of the basketball team.
- 19:03Typical, you know.
- 19:04Guy played defense shooting guard, hitting threes, playing solid D, taking pride
- 19:08in charges and well guys just dunking on your head, what are you gonna do?
- 19:11But welcome to Rivas Island, more popular island than other
- 19:16islands that we hear in the news.
- 19:17Well Josh, thanks for coming on, brother.
- 19:18We appreciate you again, we'll see you all the conferences.
- 19:20We'll probably be on the same leg of of everything.
- 19:23But thank you for picking up this industry and making it better.
- 19:25Yeah, thanks for having me.
- 19:26Really appreciate it.
- 19:27Thanks for listening, watching this episode of The Justice Team
- 19:29Podcast on the Justice Team Network.
