- 0:06Speaker 1: My wife and I are gearing up for baby G
- 0:08Speaker 1: to arrive sometime this summer, and it is. It has
- 0:11Speaker 1: been a ton of fun getting her nursery already. Yeah,
- 0:16Speaker 1: all the diapers, baby showers, the whole nine yards. That
- 0:18Speaker 1: has been great. But it also has been funny. There
- 0:21Speaker 1: are these tiny little moments where my wife, Corey and
- 0:23Speaker 1: I will have and we'll go, oh, is this, Like
- 0:25Speaker 1: is this a parenting moment? Is this are we Are
- 0:28Speaker 1: we on the same page on this or not on
- 0:30Speaker 1: the same page on this? Because some of them, you know,
- 0:32Speaker 1: you don't know if you're on the same page until
- 0:34Speaker 1: they arrive.
- 0:35Speaker 2: That's very true. Wow, yeah, that is very true. Not
- 0:38Speaker 2: until the baby is alive and in the world do
- 0:42Speaker 2: you realize, Oh, this is something we did not think
- 0:45Speaker 2: about before.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Right, And for example, this just happened last week and
- 0:50Speaker 1: I kind of paused and thought about it and I
- 0:52Speaker 1: was like, oh my gosh, this was like a parenting
- 0:54Speaker 1: disagreement moment and it involved our dog. Oh okay, so
- 0:59Speaker 1: I'll try to playing this as best I can. Right,
- 1:02Speaker 1: Corey and I both have the car seat base set
- 1:06Speaker 1: up and locked in and ready to go in our vehicles,
- 1:09Speaker 1: just so our dog can get used to not having
- 1:12Speaker 1: the entire back seats in these vehicles anymore.
- 1:15Speaker 3: That's smart.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Yeah, And so we have now kind of got her
- 1:21Speaker 1: used to you don't get one hundred percent of the
- 1:23Speaker 1: back seat anymore, you only get a little bit.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:25Speaker 1: And with that comes how we have to park our
- 1:27Speaker 1: vehicles in the garage. We want the base, the car seat,
- 1:31Speaker 1: that door, both of them to be in the middle.
- 1:34Speaker 1: So there's a ton of room, right, Okay, so the
- 1:38Speaker 1: dog now has to go around to the other side
- 1:42Speaker 1: of the car to get in the door. Well, what's
- 1:44Speaker 1: on the other side, Well, it's the wall of the garage.
- 1:47Speaker 1: There's not you know, a gajillion feet there. There's obviously
- 1:50Speaker 1: plenty of room to walk, but to our dog, Wanona,
- 1:54Speaker 1: it's like we're asking her to fit through a McDonald's straw. Okay,
- 1:58Speaker 1: there's plenty of room for to make it. But she, yes,
- 2:01Speaker 1: we found out, does not like tight spaces. Okay, you know,
- 2:04Speaker 1: she doesn't like when she can't turn around and walk
- 2:07Speaker 1: and things like that. So we were getting ready to
- 2:10Speaker 1: go somewhere the other day and I had opened up
- 2:13Speaker 1: the side door for Wenona to get into, and it
- 2:17Speaker 1: was kind of a tight fit, but plenty of space
- 2:19Speaker 1: for her to go in. And she was being a
- 2:21Speaker 1: bit fussy about getting in the back of the of
- 2:25Speaker 1: the car and I was like, no, you can do it, Like,
- 2:28Speaker 1: well you've done it before. You're not gonna kind of
- 2:30Speaker 1: just whine and back out of this here. You can
- 2:32Speaker 1: get in here. And after about you know, fifteen seconds,
- 2:36Speaker 1: Corey's like, do you just want me to hold her
- 2:37Speaker 1: and we'll just like wait till you back out. But
- 2:39Speaker 1: I was like, well, no, she she can do this.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I want she needs to learn she can do things
- 2:45Speaker 1: that are harder she doesn't like. And she was like, yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 1: but we're trying to get somewhere, blah blah blah, and
- 2:49Speaker 1: I kind of paused. I was like, oh my god,
- 2:51Speaker 1: this is a parenting moment involving a dog. I can
- 2:54Speaker 1: only imagine parenting moment with baby. Because in Corey's defense,
- 2:59Speaker 1: you know, she's trying to get going and get moving.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Sometimes you just gotta get going and do things all right.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You don't have time for the two minute, three minute
- 3:06Speaker 1: like lesson with little Timmy or little Sarah. Okay, you
- 3:09Speaker 1: gotta be somewhere at a certain time. And it was
- 3:12Speaker 1: kind of funny we both stopped and kind of laughed.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I was like, oh God, that was the most parenting
- 3:17Speaker 1: thing I've ever experienced in my life. I want one
- 3:19Speaker 1: ownA to do this hard thing. Yeah, and Corey is
- 3:22Speaker 1: trying to get going because we had somewhere to be.
- 3:24Speaker 3: This is very real.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I will say I'm team Gabe on this one.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Not that you even asked, but right. It's one of
- 3:34Speaker 3: those things with Liam.
- 3:36Speaker 2: It wasn't so much with Aiden, but with Liam, because
- 3:40Speaker 2: one kid feels like one kid, and two kids feels
- 3:43Speaker 2: like ten. So with Liam, when it was that we
- 3:46Speaker 2: wanted to get going, it was like, I'm just gonna
- 3:49Speaker 2: do everything for him. And now years later that has
- 3:52Speaker 2: really bit me in the butt. And oh sure, I
- 3:56Speaker 2: feel like I didn't foster enough independence for him and
- 3:59Speaker 2: now like making that transition for a lot of things,
- 4:04Speaker 2: and he seems really shook about it. And then it's like, well,
- 4:07Speaker 2: your mom isn't that great at partings And I waited
- 4:11Speaker 2: too long because it was this okay, but we gotta go,
- 4:14Speaker 2: but we gotta go.
- 4:15Speaker 3: And so I understand that feeling.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I'm with Corey on that, like, I get that feeling,
- 4:19Speaker 2: but I think I did it too. I went overboard,
- 4:22Speaker 2: sure on taking care of the things and not so.
- 4:25Speaker 2: As long as you find a balance, you're kid. Let
- 4:27Speaker 2: me take you back. I'm not team Gabe, I'm a
- 4:29Speaker 2: team balanced balance.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yes, and long story short, wan Ona did eventually get
- 4:34Speaker 1: into the car on the new side. She has to
- 4:37Speaker 1: go in even though there's not as much space, because
- 4:40Speaker 1: I told Wanana she can do tough things and she
- 4:43Speaker 1: did it. She looked at me like I had put
- 4:46Speaker 1: her through boot camp to beat in the Marines.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Celebrating life's little victories every morning we practice gratitude on
- 4:58Speaker 4: big ninety eight points, Steven.
- 5:00Speaker 1: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 5:02Speaker 1: plastic job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Share your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 5:08Speaker 4: two eight out one ninety eight seven kids.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I also needed to win that day. I know I'd
- 5:13Speaker 1: figure out a way to tie that back around.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Do you have a little victory? Oh?
- 5:18Speaker 3: I do, Gabe.
- 5:19Speaker 2: So last week we talked about how I am a
- 5:23Speaker 2: bad mom essentially because I accidentally got Aiden, my high schooler,
- 5:29Speaker 2: four hours of detention because I didn't plan ahead for
- 5:32Speaker 2: an absence that needed to be excused yeah, that was
- 5:36Speaker 2: my bat.
- 5:36Speaker 1: And the story gets worse if you really are wondering, Okay,
- 5:39Speaker 1: didn't plan ahead for.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Like a month, I didn't plan ahead. Whatever.
- 5:43Speaker 2: The point is, I'm still like waiting for the callback
- 5:46Speaker 2: from the assistant principle to see if he, in fact
- 5:50Speaker 2: can get those detentions waved.
- 5:52Speaker 3: However, my little.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Victory is that even when I think I'm a bad mom,
- 5:58Speaker 2: there's always someone worse. I watched the documentary on Netflix
- 6:03Speaker 2: about Mackenzie Shrilla and it's called The Crash. It was
- 6:07Speaker 2: like the number two movie on Netflix over the weekend,
- 6:11Speaker 2: and it's about this.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Girl who drove at one hundred.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Miles per hour crashed her car into a wall. She survived,
- 6:20Speaker 2: but it killed her boyfriend and the boyfriend's friend, and
- 6:24Speaker 2: after all of the investigation whatever, she was charged with
- 6:27Speaker 2: a murder and convicted and she's in jail literally right now.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Okay.
- 6:32Speaker 2: And so in the documentary they interview the parents of
- 6:35Speaker 2: the kids, who, you know, God rest their souls, lost
- 6:38Speaker 2: their lives, and then they interviewed this girl's parents. These
- 6:43Speaker 2: parents are trash on a level, my guy, okay, just
- 6:49Speaker 2: enabling awful behavior. At one point that dad's like we
- 6:53Speaker 2: never really had to discipline her.
- 6:55Speaker 3: You should have.
- 6:56Speaker 2: You should have based on everything that was revealed, ye
- 7:00Speaker 2: should have disciplined her more. You terrible, terrible humans, the
- 7:04Speaker 2: mom and the dad.
- 7:06Speaker 3: They're soulless.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Like I.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Was mad, I was screaming at the TV. I of
- 7:12Speaker 2: course went on social media to see what everyone was
- 7:14Speaker 2: saying about it. I think we're all in consensus if like,
- 7:17Speaker 2: those are bad parents, all.
- 7:19Speaker 3: That to say, I'm not looking so bad as a parent.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Now, Oh okay, so that's the victory.
- 7:26Speaker 3: That's the book carry all right, at least I'm not.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Then, that's right. That is a you know what, that's
- 7:30Speaker 1: a good starting point.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yeah, if you watched this documentary, please I need to
- 7:34Speaker 2: know your thoughts. Text seven oh one two eight oh
- 7:37Speaker 2: one nine eight seven because crazy.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Work these parents. Yeah, okay, what about you, Gabe? What's
- 7:43Speaker 3: your little victory?
- 7:44Speaker 1: My little victory is my kid as a godfather. Two
- 7:50Speaker 1: different waves of story here a little bit. But uh,
- 7:52Speaker 1: this weekend I saw one of my best friends, my
- 7:55Speaker 1: longest friend. I've known him since I was six years
- 7:58Speaker 1: old and we've been best friends like twenty twenty five years,
- 8:01Speaker 1: a very very long time. His name is Jake and
- 8:03Speaker 1: I've been kind of waiting to ask him if he
- 8:06Speaker 1: wanted to be the godfather of my little girl, who
- 8:09Speaker 1: will arrive here this summer. Yeah, and of course he
- 8:12Speaker 1: accepted it, and I can't wait to watch him holder
- 8:15Speaker 1: it'll be the funniest thing. Jake who maybe you've seen
- 8:18Speaker 1: if you're you know, you're on my Instagram or Facebook
- 8:20Speaker 1: or whatever, you maybe have seen me with pictures of
- 8:24Speaker 1: this guy. And I talk about him a lot here
- 8:26Speaker 1: on Big ninety eight point seven because I hang out
- 8:28Speaker 1: with him so much.
- 8:29Speaker 3: I'm a fan. I've met him a couple times.
- 8:31Speaker 1: He's a really really cool dude. But he's kind of
- 8:34Speaker 1: he's like a he's like a seventy and a fifteen
- 8:37Speaker 1: year old man trapped into one. I like that, you know,
- 8:40Speaker 1: And it's gonna be really funny to watch four or
- 8:44Speaker 1: five six week old baby run his world. So it'll
- 8:47Speaker 1: be pretty funny.
- 8:48Speaker 3: This is so sweet.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I saw the picture you posted with your caption about
- 8:52Speaker 2: asking him to be the godfather, and he was so wholesome.
- 8:54Speaker 3: I wanted to cry, you little cuties.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Yeah, So I'm very very happy about that, And it
- 8:59Speaker 1: was great to see him and play some golf this weekend.
- 9:01Speaker 1: It was just fun overall, great weekend, hougem.
- 9:03Speaker 3: I haven't been asked to be the mother.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I'm just kidding well, I might have to get to
- 9:09Speaker 1: round like eleven for that.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Wow.
- 9:15Speaker 1: This is am I the problem? It's me, him on
- 9:20Speaker 1: the problem, it's me.
- 9:22Speaker 4: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your help,
- 9:24Speaker 4: am I the problem with you? Decide if it's right
- 9:27Speaker 4: or if maybe you're the problem.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I'm hardly the problem on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Would this bother you if you were in Layla's shoes?
- 9:37Speaker 2: Gabe and Angie, this is Leila and am I a hater?
- 9:40Speaker 2: Or would you feel the same way as me? I
- 9:43Speaker 2: have a girlfriend who's on a GLP one and she
- 9:45Speaker 2: posts all the time about fitness and nutrition now and
- 9:49Speaker 2: looks incredible, but she never mentions she's on the GLP one.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I asked her about it once and she said that
- 9:56Speaker 2: she never denies that she uses it if someone asks
- 9:59Speaker 2: her in person, but online she doesn't feel the need
- 10:03Speaker 2: to say anything because that's social media and she doesn't
- 10:06Speaker 2: put her business out there like that. She's not an
- 10:09Speaker 2: influencer or anything. But I do see some people we
- 10:12Speaker 2: knew in high school and stuff. Ask her for fitness
- 10:15Speaker 2: and nutrition advice and she responds in the comments but
- 10:19Speaker 2: never mentions the GLP one. Am I right to think
- 10:23Speaker 2: that's shady? Her follower account has been growing, Yes, I checked,
- 10:28Speaker 2: and it seems to be for the fitness stuff based
- 10:30Speaker 2: on what content she's putting out, And it just feels
- 10:34Speaker 2: like she's misleading people. Is it weird that I care? Well, God,
- 10:41Speaker 2: I want to know your thoughts.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I mean, it's got hater energy. I don't know if
- 10:46Speaker 1: I can call her a hater, but Leila, this does
- 10:49Speaker 1: have a tiny bit of hater energy in my opinion. Now,
- 10:53Speaker 1: if this girl is trying to give out fitness advice
- 10:57Speaker 1: and she's a tax accountant, Okay I don't, then yes,
- 11:01Speaker 1: I would say there's something a little bit misleading about that.
- 11:04Speaker 1: But just because maybe you're not a professional and something
- 11:06Speaker 1: doesn't mean you can't be informed about it. But it
- 11:08Speaker 1: seems hater esque.
- 11:10Speaker 3: How funny.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I just feel a little touch of I don't want
- 11:14Speaker 1: to say like full blown jealousy, but yeah, I feel
- 11:17Speaker 1: a little touch of jealousy because she mentioned the followers
- 11:21Speaker 1: are going up, and oh yeah, he told us she's
- 11:23Speaker 1: not an influencer. You didn't have to mention that part.
- 11:26Speaker 1: We could probably safely assume that.
- 11:29Speaker 3: What do you think? Seven oh one, two, eight oh one,
- 11:31Speaker 3: nine eight seven.
- 11:32Speaker 2: We also have this up on the Big ninety eight
- 11:34Speaker 2: point seven Facebook page.
- 11:36Speaker 3: I don't think she's being a hater.
- 11:38Speaker 2: I think I feel like maybe she's just someone who
- 11:41Speaker 2: has a sense of like justice or like the right
- 11:45Speaker 2: way or something. Yeah. Yeah, because I don't know.
- 11:48Speaker 3: She said that she looks incredible, so that doesn't give
- 11:51Speaker 3: me hater energy.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Well, what's she gonna email us? Yeah, she looks like garbage.
- 11:58Speaker 1: She's not gonna put that in there.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I feel like I understand where she's coming from, because
- 12:03Speaker 2: I think that is misleading.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I think maybe it is weird that she cares.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I feel like I care and it's not even my
- 12:11Speaker 2: friend who's doing it, because I just don't.
- 12:15Speaker 3: I think I just don't like that she's shady.
- 12:18Speaker 2: I just am I you Laila, like I agree with Leila.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I don't think it's hater energy. I think it's come on,
- 12:26Speaker 2: be more honest, be more transparent.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it is interesting, though, this is a big conversation
- 12:32Speaker 1: amongst I don't know, people who want to get in
- 12:36Speaker 1: better shape or just different shape. Yeah. About g LP ones,
- 12:40Speaker 1: you always hear two sides of the story of oh, yeah,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I use that, that it helped a lot, Yeah, YadA, YadA,
- 12:46Speaker 1: and then you always hear the yeah, I heard this
- 12:48Speaker 1: person did this, but they were on a GLP one.
- 12:51Speaker 1: It's almost like look down upon because it's potentially like
- 12:54Speaker 1: a cheat code or a short cut.
- 12:56Speaker 3: I want to make this clear.
- 12:57Speaker 2: So I'm someone who's on a fitness journey as we speak,
- 13:01Speaker 2: and I'm not on a GLP one because my insurance
- 13:04Speaker 2: don't covert that. Okay, if it did, it might be
- 13:07Speaker 2: a different story. If you use a GLP one and
- 13:10Speaker 2: that like gives you the push that you need and whatever.
- 13:13Speaker 3: I'm all for that. Yeah, I think do it.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I think it's weird to not be honest about it,
- 13:20Speaker 2: Like if you're gonna be talking about fitness and nutrition,
- 13:23Speaker 2: I feel like that goes hand in hand with the
- 13:24Speaker 2: fact that you're using a GLP one.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Do I think, Yeah, No, I mean you do have
- 13:29Speaker 1: a point.
- 13:30Speaker 2: But then, but then I guess if people are like
- 13:32Speaker 2: just asking strictly fitness questions or strictly nutrition and she's
- 13:37Speaker 2: just saying, this is what I eat and this is
- 13:40Speaker 2: what I do. Then I guess I can't be mad
- 13:43Speaker 2: at that unless she's saying all I did was this
- 13:46Speaker 2: and look at the results. But I don't think it's
- 13:49Speaker 2: hater energy. I think Leyla just wants transparency about it.
- 13:54Speaker 3: And I think because she.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Wrote into us, that makes me think that she's not
- 13:59Speaker 2: trying to be a hater, even if maybe it comes
- 14:02Speaker 2: off that way.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, what do you think she's asking seven
- 14:05Speaker 1: oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven. Let
- 14:09Speaker 1: us know your opinion. I don't. I wouldn't say full
- 14:11Speaker 1: blown hater, but I think it's hater ish hater codd
- 14:15Speaker 1: kind of hater codd.
- 14:16Speaker 3: I like that.
- 14:22Speaker 2: On the problems we Layla wants to know if she's
- 14:26Speaker 2: being a hater because she's annoyed that a friend of
- 14:30Speaker 2: hers is posting fitness and nutrition content on social media
- 14:35Speaker 2: but not sharing that she's also on a GLP one,
- 14:38Speaker 2: so when people ask for advice on nutrition and fitness,
- 14:42Speaker 2: she hands it out, but she doesn't mention that she's
- 14:44Speaker 2: on a GLP one. She did mention it one time
- 14:47Speaker 2: to her friend, and the friend said, I just don't
- 14:50Speaker 2: put that on social media, but if anybody asked me
- 14:52Speaker 2: in person.
- 14:52Speaker 3: I would say yes that I'm on it, sure.
- 14:54Speaker 2: But Layla still feels like it is shady, but is
- 14:58Speaker 2: also wondering, am I actually to hate?
- 15:02Speaker 1: And there are a lot of people chiming on in
- 15:04Speaker 1: and I think most people, from what I've gathered, at
- 15:08Speaker 1: least what I've seen here, Angie, a lot of people
- 15:10Speaker 1: think it's a tiny bit shady and you're not really
- 15:13Speaker 1: being a hater like Laurie she said, I think that
- 15:15Speaker 1: you can't give what I'm eating advice without also having
- 15:20Speaker 1: the caveat And the reason I'm able to eat this
- 15:23Speaker 1: amount is because I'm taking a GLP one. I mean
- 15:26Speaker 1: that's a hand in hand thing. So yes, it is
- 15:28Speaker 1: a little bit shady, and that you know that is
- 15:31Speaker 1: probably true actually because I don't fully understand GLP ones,
- 15:35Speaker 1: have never done the old research because I've never really
- 15:37Speaker 1: cared to try to lose any pounds like that. But
- 15:40Speaker 1: at the most basic function, don't they just help you
- 15:43Speaker 1: feel full or eat less? Pretty much?
- 15:45Speaker 3: You definitely eat less, Leny, Yes.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I'm sure there's a billion other things they right, but.
- 15:50Speaker 2: It is definitely easier to cut calories when you're not
- 15:53Speaker 2: craving the calories, when your appetite is curbed to that level, Mike,
- 15:59Speaker 2: she said, as someone that is also on a GLP one,
- 16:02Speaker 2: it's definitely shady. You're not the problem, so Leyla Micah
- 16:06Speaker 2: doesn't think your hater, and Micah's literally on a GLP one.
- 16:10Speaker 3: She thinks your friend is a shady lady.
- 16:13Speaker 1: All all right? Yeah, while we have Hildy who kind
- 16:15Speaker 1: of is in line with that. She said, I'm thinking
- 16:18Speaker 1: what Layla's getting at is the fact that people are
- 16:19Speaker 1: going to be trying to get into shape by using
- 16:21Speaker 1: these tips and they could be discouraged that they don't
- 16:24Speaker 1: know that she's on a GLP one. So what she
- 16:27Speaker 1: wants is little transparency kind of what we said before,
- 16:30Speaker 1: a little bit about like, hey, I'm doing what you're
- 16:32Speaker 1: saying and this these results are nowhere near the same.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Right the problem here? Or what why aren't I seeing
- 16:39Speaker 1: you know, similar results? And that is I guess kind
- 16:42Speaker 1: of true.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Yeah, that makes sense to me.
- 16:44Speaker 2: I love what Yolanda said because the petty Queen and
- 16:47Speaker 2: Me appreciates this. Yolanda said, transparency up front is honorable.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Petty me would like to comment something like that shot
- 16:55Speaker 2: really works. That's wonderful, but also good for her showing
- 16:59Speaker 2: off how proud she is of her body. I think
- 17:01Speaker 2: the consensus is not that being on a GLP one
- 17:05Speaker 2: is bad or cheating or anything. It's just not being
- 17:08Speaker 2: transparent about it feels shady because what advice are you
- 17:13Speaker 2: giving if you're not adding that very crucial piece of
- 17:16Speaker 2: the puzzle that is.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Part of the regimen. Yeah, you know. And I was
- 17:20Speaker 1: Angie and I were joking off the air, and I
- 17:22Speaker 1: was like, you know, if you like needed to lose
- 17:25Speaker 1: some serious weight, you know, a big number, Yeah, you
- 17:28Speaker 1: do what you gotta do, you know. But we are
- 17:30Speaker 1: also joking. You know, if you needed to lose like
- 17:32Speaker 1: ten or fifteen pounds, lady, you gave that dude a
- 17:35Speaker 1: shot and he didn't change for four years. All right.
- 17:38Speaker 1: We could do a calorie deficit for thirty days if.
- 17:47Speaker 2: And sometimes I do be a boy. So I have
- 17:50Speaker 2: an alter ego. His name is Angelo, and he usually
- 17:56Speaker 2: pops up around Halloween time. It is May, and he
- 18:02Speaker 2: had to make an appearance. And it's all because I'm
- 18:06Speaker 2: an old broad. Let me explain. So I was invited
- 18:12Speaker 2: very kindly. I was invited to the birthday party of
- 18:15Speaker 2: someone who turned twenty one.
- 18:18Speaker 1: All right, wait, shot, shot, shot, shot, shot, Yes, except.
- 18:21Speaker 2: For that meant that the party didn't start until ten pm.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm out.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Okay, thank you.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I can't do it.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Back in the day, when I was in my twenties,
- 18:31Speaker 2: which was eighty four years ago, I would start parties
- 18:35Speaker 2: after ten pm, and that was fine.
- 18:37Speaker 3: But that was so long ago.
- 18:39Speaker 2: But I didn't want to miss this party, because what
- 18:42Speaker 2: an honor that a twenty one year old wanted me
- 18:45Speaker 2: that the party.
- 18:46Speaker 1: You know how they have those things on Instagram like
- 18:48Speaker 1: it's all one day you went out and played with
- 18:50Speaker 1: your friends and that was the last time. This might
- 18:52Speaker 1: be that moment. You might never get to go to
- 18:54Speaker 1: a twenty first birthday party again.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Ding ding Ding, What do we have for him? Johnny?
- 18:59Speaker 2: That's exactly correct, And so that is why I thought,
- 19:03Speaker 2: you know what, I better get it together. The thing is,
- 19:06Speaker 2: it was on Saturday, and I lived an entire life
- 19:11Speaker 2: before I even had to get ready for the party.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I deep cleaned the kitchen, I deep cleaned the bathroom,
- 19:18Speaker 2: I vacuumed, I watched Star Wars Story a Rogue one.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I watched that movie. I got in all my steps
- 19:26Speaker 2: and a workout. I did a Costco run I did
- 19:29Speaker 2: a target run. I did all of that, and then
- 19:33Speaker 2: it was only six pm and I thought, oh my gosh,
- 19:37Speaker 2: the ticket gu's how am I ever gonna? What am
- 19:41Speaker 2: I going to do? But thankfully the party was themed.
- 19:46Speaker 2: It was Pirates and mermaids. Now, your girl is not
- 19:49Speaker 2: in mermaid shape, or what I consider mermaid shape. I'm
- 19:53Speaker 2: more of a blobfish at the moment. So Mermaid was
- 19:57Speaker 2: not gonna be the option for me, because I will
- 20:00Speaker 2: if it's a theme, I will commit to the theme.
- 20:02Speaker 2: But I gotta figure it out. Yeah, Pirate, I could
- 20:06Speaker 2: work with Pirate.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, you could pull off a captain, thank you, Like.
- 20:10Speaker 2: The team moved Captain Jackson right off round for sure. Well,
- 20:16Speaker 2: I wasn't gonna be a lady pirate. I felt like
- 20:19Speaker 2: the only way that I could really commit is to
- 20:22Speaker 2: be a boy pirate. So I busted out my alter
- 20:26Speaker 2: ego Angelo, and for these purposes, I was.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Angelo Scurvy Skull. That was my pirate name.
- 20:35Speaker 2: And let me tell you, once I used that adhesive
- 20:39Speaker 2: to stick on the faux facial hair and I put
- 20:43Speaker 2: on the little gold hoop earrings that really made me
- 20:46Speaker 2: look like a pirate man.
- 20:49Speaker 3: I came alive, Gabe. Oh wow, I had all the
- 20:53Speaker 3: energy in the world.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I made it to the party. I hung out for
- 20:58Speaker 2: two plus hours.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Wow, yeah, really good.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Yeah, And I was like drinking and it didn't make
- 21:05Speaker 2: me sleepy, and I really I crushed it.
- 21:09Speaker 3: I crushed it.
- 21:10Speaker 2: And all that to say that the only way I
- 21:14Speaker 2: can get myself to a party that starts after ten
- 21:18Speaker 2: pm is by being a boy. So if you ever
- 21:21Speaker 2: invite me, you're not gonna get Angie.
- 21:23Speaker 3: You're gonna get your boy Angelo.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Have you done any partying after ten pm as a
- 21:33Speaker 1: full grown adult, Angie? The way I see it, you're
- 21:36Speaker 1: you're like, uh, what's the girl in Game of Thrones
- 21:40Speaker 1: who sails off to the west. I don't Denarius the
- 21:46Speaker 1: sister who takes down the night King. Sorry if I
- 21:48Speaker 1: ruined that. Oh, Aria, You're like the Aria of the
- 21:52Speaker 1: FM area.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Here.
- 21:53Speaker 1: You sailed off to the west to find out. You're
- 21:56Speaker 1: like Christopher Columbus. Okay, you're just trying to see what's
- 21:58Speaker 1: over there. You partied after n PM. That is a
- 22:01Speaker 1: foreign land that I don't think i'll ever make it too.
- 22:07Speaker 4: I starting off the day with something good. This is
- 22:13Speaker 4: Gabe's good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 22:18Speaker 1: If you grew up spending summer days at rom Key Park,
- 22:23Speaker 1: get ready because a brand new chapter is about to
- 22:25Speaker 1: open in more Head. The eleven point three million dollars
- 22:29Speaker 1: Romkey Park project is nearly complete, and it sounds like
- 22:34Speaker 1: the kids are never gonna want to leave. Okay, this
- 22:36Speaker 1: would have been my dream when I was younger. The
- 22:39Speaker 1: new park it features a brand new pool with water slides,
- 22:42Speaker 1: a diving board, a climbing wall, a splash pad, a playground,
- 22:46Speaker 1: pick a ball and basketball courts, a skate park, a
- 22:49Speaker 1: soccer field, and more. And this is becoming much more
- 22:52Speaker 1: than just a pool. It's a place for families to
- 22:54Speaker 1: spend the entire day together. You're telling me I could
- 22:57Speaker 1: have gone and hit a couple double back flips off
- 22:59Speaker 1: the high dive, done a couple of water slides, and
- 23:01Speaker 1: then hit a little allie kickflip nose grind at the
- 23:04Speaker 1: skate park, all in one day. That would have been
- 23:05Speaker 1: my dream.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Well, yeah, well, now you could do it. I mean
- 23:08Speaker 2: you'll probably break a hip or something.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, now's we'll just watch. The pool is expected
- 23:16Speaker 1: open June fourth, with the rest of the park opening
- 23:18Speaker 1: shortly after and good news for Morehead families, Fargo families,
- 23:22Speaker 1: anybody in the FM area. Summer is looking pretty fun
- 23:26Speaker 1: this year. It's always nice when you can find something
- 23:29Speaker 1: for the kiddos to go do, and with all those
- 23:31Speaker 1: other things, it's not you know, when you go to
- 23:33Speaker 1: like the pool every day, sometimes your kids will get
- 23:35Speaker 1: tired of it, or they go to the skate park
- 23:37Speaker 1: every day. Yeah, trying to do something else. Well there's
- 23:40Speaker 1: something else there, yeah, park so much variety.
- 23:44Speaker 3: This is exciting.
- 23:45Speaker 2: And I had heard about this a couple of months ago,
- 23:49Speaker 2: and so it's nice to have the update.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I like this. And you know, my favorite quote, if
- 23:53Speaker 1: you don't hear it, is broken crayons. They still color.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And the world is full of nice people. If you
- 23:57Speaker 1: can't find one, you gotta be one.
