- 0:05Speaker 1: filling in for Mark, here's Ken Rosatto.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Boy boy, remind me never to let Daria Albinger be
- 0:11Speaker 2: my stock investor. How we we went from up to down?
- 0:15Speaker 2: I love Daria Albinger. She's a dear, dear person, a
- 0:18Speaker 2: lovely friend. But I love how like we're up. Oh no,
- 0:21Speaker 2: we're down. But that's the market. That's the way the
- 0:24Speaker 2: market goes. Seven ten War the Voice of New York.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It's Ken Rosatto in for Mark on your Friday. Great
- 0:31Speaker 2: to have you here. I used to be on Channel
- 0:33Speaker 2: seven for twenty years. For those of you who say
- 0:35Speaker 2: I know that name, Why do I know this Versato cat? Yeah,
- 0:39Speaker 2: I was on Channel seven for twenty years, did the
- 0:41Speaker 2: morning and the noon show. And I was on Channel
- 0:44Speaker 2: five before that, Channel fifty five before that. I was
- 0:48Speaker 2: all over the place. It was like, you know, it
- 0:51Speaker 2: was like air. Everywhere you look you found a Ken Rosatto.
- 0:54Speaker 2: These days, I'm on on New Jersey o n NJ
- 0:57Speaker 2: dot com. You could stream it anywhere doing talk news opinion.
- 1:01Speaker 2: We do that on a streaming TV channel in New Jersey.
- 1:05Speaker 2: We'd love you to check it out sometime ONNJ dot com. Well,
- 1:08Speaker 2: are you still following everything going on in Iran? Knows
- 1:13Speaker 2: we haven't talked about it for a few days. President
- 1:15Speaker 2: Trump says that he's launched an economic D Day campaign
- 1:19Speaker 2: against Iran, announcing crushing economic operations to force Tehran back
- 1:24Speaker 2: to negotiations. Well, the e threaten any countries that comes
- 1:28Speaker 2: to their aid with massive financial retaliation. The announcement, though,
- 1:32Speaker 2: causes spike in oil prices, even though we're supposed to
- 1:35Speaker 2: cause loyal prices to come down. Here's Treasury Secretary Scott
- 1:39Speaker 2: Bessont who talked about it.
- 1:40Speaker 3: And we've got a spike in oil prices today that
- 1:44Speaker 3: I don't really understand. You know, our announcement is for
- 1:48Speaker 3: economics action, and I think that the economic action will
- 1:53Speaker 3: mean that oil prices will come down sooner.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I think a lot of people, I don't know how
- 1:57Speaker 2: you feel about this, but I think a lot of
- 1:59Speaker 2: people have had it up to here. You know, it's
- 2:01Speaker 2: been months now. Initially we thought, oh, we're gonna go
- 2:05Speaker 2: in one day, clean it all out. Pump. Remember when
- 2:08Speaker 2: we took out the nuclear stuff. Everybody thought, wow, forty
- 2:13Speaker 2: plus years of Iranian nonsense, forty five forty six years
- 2:18Speaker 2: of Iranian nonsense from the Ayatola and everything else, and
- 2:21Speaker 2: we finally took them out. This is great done. The
- 2:25Speaker 2: stock market saled, oil prices started to come down. It
- 2:28Speaker 2: was like ding dong, the witch is dead. We're all happy.
- 2:32Speaker 2: And we find out a little while later there's still
- 2:35Speaker 2: nuclear dust. We have to clean it. But don't worry
- 2:37Speaker 2: about it. It'll take forever for them to find it.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Let alone us. Don't worry. There's nothing to fear. It's fine.
- 2:44Speaker 2: We've knocked out all of their military. Then suddenly the
- 2:48Speaker 2: drones started attacking the neighboring country. Nah, I don't worry
- 2:51Speaker 2: about it. Just a few drones left over. We got it.
- 2:54Speaker 2: It's all good. Then all of a sudden they started
- 2:56Speaker 2: attacking the military basis. Nah, I don't worry about it.
- 3:00Speaker 2: One left over drunk. Listen. I love me my President Trump.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I do our big supporter, I acknowledge it, big supporter
- 3:07Speaker 2: of President Trump. But I'm with I'm now in that
- 3:11Speaker 2: camp where a lot of people are saying, did we
- 3:14Speaker 2: have to do this? At the time, we did? And
- 3:16Speaker 2: you could say yeah, because of the nukes they were
- 3:18Speaker 2: about to come about. Were they are you of the
- 3:22Speaker 2: same camp where you're thinking, maybe we should have just
- 3:25Speaker 2: waited till the midterms, when the winter in midterms, and
- 3:29Speaker 2: then go after Iran. If you're going to do that
- 3:31Speaker 2: at all, and if you go in, you better go
- 3:35Speaker 2: in knowing that you're going to come right out. You
- 3:38Speaker 2: better go in knowing that you're going to strategically and
- 3:41Speaker 2: surgically take care of what you have to take care of,
- 3:44Speaker 2: get it done, and get out. I don't think anybody
- 3:49Speaker 2: on the left or the right signed up for something
- 3:53Speaker 2: that just keeps going and going. Oh, wait a minute, Ken,
- 3:56Speaker 2: Now I'm talking like the right wing. Wait a minute, Ken,
- 4:00Speaker 2: are two lasted years? Vietnam War lasted decades? What are
- 4:03Speaker 2: you talking about? Ken? This is only a couple of months.
- 4:05Speaker 2: You're right, but it was also a different time. Today,
- 4:09Speaker 2: we're doing things more with drones, we're doing things more
- 4:13Speaker 2: distant electronically, big aircraft carriers that we didn't do so
- 4:18Speaker 2: much with previous wars. So the expectation is we have
- 4:22Speaker 2: more intelligence, we should be able to go in, take
- 4:25Speaker 2: care of things, come out. The question is what's going
- 4:28Speaker 2: on in Iran? Is Iran working quietly with Russia or China?
- 4:34Speaker 2: Is that why this is still lingering, and if so,
- 4:37Speaker 2: what do we have to do to stop it? Did
- 4:39Speaker 2: we underestimate participation by these other countries. I think a
- 4:43Speaker 2: lot of people probably thought, especially in the intelligence community,
- 4:47Speaker 2: Russia's probably broke now, and they probably are. You know,
- 4:50Speaker 2: Russia at this point has spent so much money on
- 4:53Speaker 2: its war against Ukraine, and the US and Europe has
- 4:57Speaker 2: been backing Ukraine. So should we be shot if Russia
- 5:01Speaker 2: is backing Iran. I'm amazed by members of our own
- 5:06Speaker 2: elective parties on the right, the Republicans, Conservatives, libertarians, who
- 5:12Speaker 2: would be stunned at the idea of Russia stepping in
- 5:16Speaker 2: to help Iran when the US and Europe has ostensibly
- 5:20Speaker 2: been helping Ukraine. You know, I should say Iran, yes,
- 5:24Speaker 2: because we've been helping Ukraine against Russia all this time.
- 5:27Speaker 2: So of course Russia's pissed off at US. Of course
- 5:30Speaker 2: they'll do something clandestine to help Iran. Why wouldn't they.
- 5:35Speaker 2: And China, China wants to be in charge. They want
- 5:37Speaker 2: to be the I'm trying to use a term that
- 5:41Speaker 2: isn't dirty on the air, the HSIC, the head you
- 5:45Speaker 2: know what, in charge, heads in charge. I can't say
- 5:48Speaker 2: the word, I just say that, and you know what
- 5:50Speaker 2: I'm saying. They want to be in charge of everything,
- 5:52Speaker 2: They want to be the big dogs. And so what
- 5:55Speaker 2: better way then to make sure that this becomes a
- 5:57Speaker 2: war that takes us into oblivion, that gets a Democrat
- 6:01Speaker 2: Democrat Congress elected, that maybe impeaches the president who has
- 6:05Speaker 2: done so much to hurt the Chinese economy. What better
- 6:09Speaker 2: way than to do this to quietly back Iran, to
- 6:13Speaker 2: embarrass President Trump. So of course these other countries are helping,
- 6:17Speaker 2: but that's something we should have known, and maybe we did,
- 6:21Speaker 2: but we underestimated them. At this point, what do we
- 6:24Speaker 2: do about it? And how long are we going to
- 6:26Speaker 2: be stuck in this? And will it make us lose
- 6:29Speaker 2: the midterms? We lose the midterms. Look, it's all going
- 6:32Speaker 2: to be non stomp impeachment all the time. That's all
- 6:36Speaker 2: they gonna hear. Impeachment, impeachment, impeachment, impeachment. It's going to
- 6:40Speaker 2: be two years of get Trump out, big man, orange man,
- 6:44Speaker 2: bad get him out of office. So is this what
- 6:46Speaker 2: we want to deal with? I don't know. I think
- 6:48Speaker 2: that's even worse than the whole Iran quandary. But we
- 6:52Speaker 2: need to finish Iran either you know what, or get
- 6:54Speaker 2: off the pot, mister president, get this done and this
- 6:58Speaker 2: whole big economic thing. You know what, before making the announcement,
- 7:03Speaker 2: just do it. How do you feel, Just do it.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Don't make the announcement, just do it. Don't photograph, or
- 7:12Speaker 2: I should say a megaphone to the universe, this is
- 7:16Speaker 2: our plan. We're going to just do it. If you
- 7:19Speaker 2: want to economically cut them off, call all the countries
- 7:23Speaker 2: quietly and do it. But stop making the announcement, because
- 7:26Speaker 2: every time we make an announcement, it's sort of like
- 7:29Speaker 2: it blows up in our faces. And it's starting to
- 7:31Speaker 2: get to a point where where we're crying wolf. It's
- 7:34Speaker 2: the sky is falling every single day, and I think
- 7:37Speaker 2: people are just tired of it. Let me know how
- 7:40Speaker 2: you feel about it. Eight hundred three to two one
- 7:42Speaker 2: zero seven ten, eight hundred three to two one zero
- 7:45Speaker 2: seven ten. It's certainly impacting the polls, and I sure
- 7:48Speaker 2: as that hope it doesn't cost us the midterms, because
- 7:51Speaker 2: there was a point and it was looking like we
- 7:52Speaker 2: were going to squeak by that this was not going
- 7:55Speaker 2: to be a midterm election. When the president and the
- 7:57Speaker 2: power of the party in power was going to lose.
- 8:00Speaker 2: It looked like we had a chance on the Republican
- 8:02Speaker 2: side of keeping both houses, albeit a small chance, but
- 8:06Speaker 2: there was a chance of keeping both houses until the
- 8:09Speaker 2: whole arm thing just blew up in our faces. So
- 8:12Speaker 2: now we have to figure it out, but we'd better
- 8:15Speaker 2: figure it out fast. Eight hundred three to two one
- 8:18Speaker 2: zero seven ten, eight hundred three to two one zero
- 8:22Speaker 2: seven ten. So what do you think about the Dallas
- 8:24Speaker 2: Fort Worth International Airport thing that happened last week? Did
- 8:27Speaker 2: you hear about this Dallas Fort Worth International Airport? And
- 8:32Speaker 2: on the Dallas area, they've had a huge influx of
- 8:35Speaker 2: Muslims the whole Central Texas area wherever there's been wide
- 8:39Speaker 2: open space, all right, you've had Muslims coming in. And look,
- 8:46Speaker 2: Muslim Americans, God bless you. Religious group. I used to
- 8:48Speaker 2: be a priest years ago. I'm religious. I applaud anyone
- 8:52Speaker 2: who's religious until you get to a point where you
- 8:54Speaker 2: impose your values on everybody else around you. And by
- 8:57Speaker 2: the way, I feel the same way with Catholic group,
- 9:00Speaker 2: Protestant groups. Anyone live and not live in America. All right,
- 9:04Speaker 2: when you come here, you should become part of this
- 9:07Speaker 2: fabric and this society. So you want to practice your faith,
- 9:11Speaker 2: God bless you, Yes you should. You want to take
- 9:14Speaker 2: over six thousand acres of land and make it exclusively
- 9:19Speaker 2: something for Muslims and have the call to prayer echoed
- 9:23Speaker 2: in the skies for people to hear thousands of miles around.
- 9:26Speaker 2: When this is, let's just face it, it was founded
- 9:30Speaker 2: by Christians with a Christian ideal. All right, now, you
- 9:33Speaker 2: say ken separation of church and state, you cannot remove
- 9:37Speaker 2: the reality of the fact that this was a Yes,
- 9:41Speaker 2: you could say Judeo Christian because by virtue of the
- 9:43Speaker 2: word Christian, Christian is Judeo Christian because Christianity was set
- 9:47Speaker 2: up on the basis of Judaism. For those who don't
- 9:50Speaker 2: know that, go back and go back to Catholic school.
- 9:52Speaker 2: All my like Italian American Catholic friends who know nothing
- 9:55Speaker 2: about their faith because they didn't pay attention growing up,
- 9:58Speaker 2: go back and read you couldn't be Christian and if
- 10:00Speaker 2: you didn't have Judaism, you couldn't be Catholic. If you
- 10:02Speaker 2: weren't Christian, you got to figure it out. Figure it out.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Do the thinking. Please. It drives me nuts when people say, oh,
- 10:09Speaker 2: I'm a cathlic I don't know, but them Jews. Yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 2: you couldn't be Catholic if there wasn't Jews. If there
- 10:14Speaker 2: weren't Jews. It's part of the religion. Okay, figure it out.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I'm sorry to sound if it sounds condescending. I don't
- 10:20Speaker 2: mean to, but it just I'm so fed up at
- 10:22Speaker 2: this point for people who don't realize that we come
- 10:24Speaker 2: out of Judaism that it's like, how do you not
- 10:26Speaker 2: know this? At this point, Judaism is the mother religion
- 10:28Speaker 2: of even Islam ostensibly, but when you look at folks
- 10:36Speaker 2: coming over whenever you have groups of people coming over
- 10:39Speaker 2: en moss, instead of integrating, instead of becoming part of
- 10:43Speaker 2: the fabric, what ends up happening is they kind of
- 10:45Speaker 2: create a bubble and isolated bubble, and they try to
- 10:49Speaker 2: change the area around them to be them as opposed
- 10:53Speaker 2: to them integrating into society around them. And this is
- 10:56Speaker 2: the case when you have all the Muslims coming into
- 10:59Speaker 2: Central Texas, all living in the same area, all going
- 11:03Speaker 2: to their giant mosque that they're building. Now they're building
- 11:06Speaker 2: an Islamic center in Central Texas. It's going to be
- 11:08Speaker 2: one of the biggest in the country. And what ends
- 11:11Speaker 2: up happening is then they run for elective office and
- 11:13Speaker 2: it becomes an all Islamic state within a state. Did
- 11:17Speaker 2: the same thing in Dearborn, Michigan. They're doing the same
- 11:20Speaker 2: thing in parts of northern New Jersey where you go
- 11:23Speaker 2: into parts of like Passaic and Patterson, in the areas
- 11:26Speaker 2: where you say, okay, are we still in the United States.
- 11:29Speaker 2: That doesn't mean we don't love you and don't welcome
- 11:32Speaker 2: Muslim America. I have lots of friends. I have a
- 11:34Speaker 2: friend who's in his mom We have lots of friends
- 11:36Speaker 2: who are Muslim. God bless you, and I love you.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I don't care. I'm not anti Islam at all. I
- 11:42Speaker 2: am anti converting the world. You will do you and
- 11:47Speaker 2: let me do me. And we love and respect each
- 11:50Speaker 2: other for our differences. But when you get to a
- 11:54Speaker 2: point where you say, you know, Ken, we need to talk,
- 11:57Speaker 2: and if you don't want to do it our way,
- 11:58Speaker 2: then we got a problem. Eh. That's when you cross
- 12:01Speaker 2: the line. Ken, we don't do that. Yeah, go back
- 12:04Speaker 2: over the last fifteen hundred years. Yeah you kind of do. Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 2: you kind of do. It's happened in every country. I
- 12:09Speaker 2: mean look what's happening right now in say you to Spain,
- 12:12Speaker 2: this is what you've done, and people saying, ken, that
- 12:14Speaker 2: was just one case of a bunch of migrants trying
- 12:17Speaker 2: to get into a place to live a better life. Really, really,
- 12:21Speaker 2: they're surrounded by twenty Muslim countries, and yet you had
- 12:25Speaker 2: eighty thousand young military age men, not women, not children,
- 12:30Speaker 2: just twenty something year old military age men all invading
- 12:35Speaker 2: little city state that has for fifteen hundred years been
- 12:39Speaker 2: part of Spain. And you're all Muslim and they're a
- 12:44Speaker 2: tiny group of by the way, Muslims and Christians who
- 12:47Speaker 2: live in there are plenty of Muslims there. They do
- 12:50Speaker 2: live and let live. It's fine. Just like in Israel.
- 12:54Speaker 2: You have hundreds of thousands of Arabs who live in Israel,
- 12:58Speaker 2: who are you know, on their canesse, and they're allowed
- 13:01Speaker 2: to live in a live they can live. It's when
- 13:03Speaker 2: the Arabs come in from the outside and say no,
- 13:05Speaker 2: now we will conquer you and you have to do
- 13:07Speaker 2: it our way, and we're taking over Jerusalem. That's when
- 13:10Speaker 2: you have a problem. And the same thing in Sayouta,
- 13:14Speaker 2: when you have eighty thousand people suddenly come in and say, oh,
- 13:17Speaker 2: we're going to take over. Well, that's when Spain has
- 13:19Speaker 2: to send in the military and say no. And by
- 13:21Speaker 2: the way, Morocco has done this to Spanish territories that
- 13:26Speaker 2: they've had for a thousand years. In northern Africa, it's
- 13:30Speaker 2: been part of Spain, and one after another you've had
- 13:34Speaker 2: little city states within that have fallen to Morocco. Morocco
- 13:38Speaker 2: decides one day to call out the military and take over,
- 13:42Speaker 2: and guess what, within a couple of months it's theirs.
- 13:45Speaker 2: And Spain has just clapped their hands and said, okay,
- 13:47Speaker 2: that's another one. We just lost to Morocco because they
- 13:50Speaker 2: don't want to repeat of what happened. It's fifteen hundred
- 13:53Speaker 2: years ago and a thousand years ago. For those that
- 13:55Speaker 2: don't know their geographical history, Spain, Portugal, parts of southern Italy.
- 14:03Speaker 2: You know in Sicily and Naples. You know, you Ciciaiani
- 14:06Speaker 2: and Napolitani. You know that you were all at one
- 14:09Speaker 2: point controlled by Spain, and prior to that you were
- 14:13Speaker 2: oh actually at the time you were controlled by Morocco
- 14:16Speaker 2: and most of the people there, your ancestors were Muslims.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I don't know if you know that, not me Rizonto
- 14:22Speaker 2: watch your mouth. Yeah, yeah, that's that's a fact that
- 14:25Speaker 2: that all of southern Italy and Spain and Portugal and
- 14:29Speaker 2: even parts of southern France were actually all controlled by
- 14:33Speaker 2: the Moors as they were called the Moroccans, the Moors.
- 14:36Speaker 2: They were all Islamic, and there were the battles and
- 14:40Speaker 2: the crusades, and we fought and we got got it
- 14:43Speaker 2: back and made a Christian again. But that at one
- 14:45Speaker 2: point was all Muslim. And it looks like it's going
- 14:49Speaker 2: right back the way it was. The pendulum is swinging
- 14:52Speaker 2: right back. Because whenever there is a void something and
- 14:57Speaker 2: someone will fill that void what happens through history and
- 15:01Speaker 2: right now the void is Christianity going away. It's religion
- 15:06Speaker 2: because Christians, eh, they're not interested anymore. They got liberal
- 15:11Speaker 2: and they decided we don't need to go to church.
- 15:13Speaker 2: And eh, I'm spiritual, not religious. I'm spiritual. I just
- 15:18Speaker 2: think we all do good and we believe in God
- 15:20Speaker 2: and we'll just be fine. The problem is other people
- 15:23Speaker 2: don't think that liberally about it. You have serious, hardcore
- 15:28Speaker 2: conservative religious people, whether they be Islamic or even certain
- 15:32Speaker 2: hardcore Christian groups orthodox severe I'm talking about, you know,
- 15:37Speaker 2: and this sounds pejorative. I don't mean it this way,
- 15:41Speaker 2: but you have some significant Orthodox Judaism who it's all
- 15:48Speaker 2: about taking over an area and converting everybody. You know,
- 15:50Speaker 2: Jews don't convert. They don't usually it's usually what you're
- 15:53Speaker 2: born into. But in the case of Islam, and like
- 15:56Speaker 2: in case of I know friends who are Mormon, friends
- 15:59Speaker 2: who are Jehovahs, it's about getting everybody else to be
- 16:02Speaker 2: part of your group. It's evangelizing. And they'll say, but
- 16:04Speaker 2: it's biblical can to evangelize. Yeah, But in modern America
- 16:09Speaker 2: we don't push like that. That's not the way it
- 16:11Speaker 2: works here. Maybe in other places it does. But the
- 16:15Speaker 2: point is because of the vacuum in religion in Europe
- 16:19Speaker 2: right now, you see Europe literally falling before our eyes
- 16:23Speaker 2: and turning back into a Muslim state. Both for right
- 16:27Speaker 2: now it's people moving in from Muslim countries, but eventually
- 16:31Speaker 2: it'll be people being converted sort of by force. It'll
- 16:35Speaker 2: be the popular thing to be Muslim. If you want
- 16:38Speaker 2: to be in business in certain Spanish cities, you better
- 16:42Speaker 2: be Muslim, or else you're not gonna You're not gonna
- 16:44Speaker 2: be on the board of this and the board of that.
- 16:46Speaker 2: That's sort of what's gonna happen little by little, and
- 16:48Speaker 2: you'll have people initially I'm just Muslim because that's how
- 16:51Speaker 2: we get along, and I go to mosque every now
- 16:53Speaker 2: and then to be seen and blah blah blah. Before
- 16:55Speaker 2: you know it, it's going to be generation after generation
- 16:58Speaker 2: and you will see Europe convert again. This is what
- 17:01Speaker 2: is happening before our eyes. And it all stems with
- 17:04Speaker 2: I'm really not religious. I'm just I'm spiritual. I'm living,
- 17:08Speaker 2: lent live. We don't really belong to a faith. That's
- 17:11Speaker 2: where it starts. Now, Am I saying that the only
- 17:13Speaker 2: solution is we all have to become diehard whatever. Pick
- 17:16Speaker 2: your Christian religion maybe, or pick you're Jewish, your sect
- 17:22Speaker 2: section of Judaism maybe. But what I am saying is,
- 17:27Speaker 2: at the very least, if you're going to not be religious,
- 17:29Speaker 2: just beware that somebody else will be. Seven ten War
- 17:34Speaker 2: The Voice of New York. It's Ken Rosotto win for
- 17:36Speaker 2: Mark on a Friday. We will take your calls at
- 17:38Speaker 2: eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten, eight
- 17:40Speaker 2: hundred three to two one zero seven ten. Those calls
- 17:42Speaker 2: coming up next. Seven ten War.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Now more of the Marximone show on seven ten war
- 17:50Speaker 1: filling in for Mark.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Here again is Ken Rosatto. That's gonna be with you
- 17:54Speaker 2: on a Friday. Go straight to our busy phones at
- 17:57Speaker 2: ten twenty eight. Chris and Beth Page, Long Island. How
- 17:59Speaker 2: did you fair with the weather? Chris?
- 18:03Speaker 4: Okay, you know a little dicey, but uh, okay, you
- 18:06Speaker 4: know I was watching it and you know, make sure
- 18:09Speaker 4: my whole family was home and uh not bad. Beth
- 18:11Speaker 4: Page is kind of in the middle. They got killed
- 18:13Speaker 4: down on the South Shore Atlantic.
- 18:16Speaker 2: They sure, so, I that's not what you called about.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I decided to ask while I had you good morning tonight.
- 18:22Speaker 4: I made that, okay, but thanks for asking so many
- 18:23Speaker 4: I can. The reason I'm calling is I really got
- 18:26Speaker 4: to disagree with you, Okay. I've heard a lot of
- 18:28Speaker 4: my friends that have said similar things about, you know,
- 18:32Speaker 4: what is Trump doing with Iran? And he should have?
- 18:35Speaker 4: You know, the midterms. Let me tell you something. I
- 18:37Speaker 4: followed Calshi Markets. You know there are sites that show
- 18:41Speaker 4: the odds of doing some winning something and you can
- 18:43Speaker 4: gamble on them. I've been followed since January as far
- 18:46Speaker 4: as the midterms and the Senate. Okay, you know it's
- 18:50Speaker 4: always been about eighty percent favorite, that Dems were going
- 18:53Speaker 4: to win long before I ran. I'm just telling you
- 18:55Speaker 4: that we went in on February twenty eighth. Okay, so
- 18:59Speaker 4: it was never going our way. I'm just let me back.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I got it back you. I'll let you continue talking.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I'm not going to cut you up. But there have
- 19:07Speaker 2: been several national polls that showed just the opposite. Cal She. Remember,
- 19:11Speaker 2: is this small subset of people who like to gamble,
- 19:13Speaker 2: people who like to buy lottery and gamble. They're the
- 19:16Speaker 2: ones who go to cal She. And it's it's like
- 19:18Speaker 2: ninety percent male, ten percent female. So there's a very
- 19:21Speaker 2: different different demographic that goes to call She. That's not
- 19:25Speaker 2: the call She's been right on a lot of things,
- 19:27Speaker 2: but when it comes to that, I don't necessarily buy
- 19:30Speaker 2: call She. It's the it's the momentary pulse, like that
- 19:34Speaker 2: moment of a subset of opinion that goes on cal She.
- 19:37Speaker 2: But you know, there were poles that showed that as
- 19:40Speaker 2: the economy was turning, as oil was dropping oil prices,
- 19:44Speaker 2: things were starting to look like even if we were
- 19:46Speaker 2: to lose, it would be right down to the line.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Now it's looking like a landslide for the Democrats. So
- 19:52Speaker 2: that's where I politely disagree. I part ways with you
- 19:55Speaker 2: on that, but please continue, go ahead, Chris.
- 19:57Speaker 4: All right, And then I got to push back in
- 19:59Speaker 4: you either way. It's not going to be a landslide, okay,
- 20:02Speaker 4: because do you know how many literally houses seats are
- 20:06Speaker 4: up for you know, there's not that many. It's it's
- 20:09Speaker 4: it's very and we have a uh.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Every every house seating, every house seat is you mean
- 20:14Speaker 2: you mean which one might might change? You mean, which
- 20:16Speaker 2: one might flip? You mean it?
- 20:18Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 20:19Speaker 2: Right now?
- 20:19Speaker 4: Yeah, And it's it's been a very narrow a maunt
- 20:24Speaker 4: because I've been following this, Ken, I'm just saying I've
- 20:27Speaker 4: been following this and the fact that this whole Iran
- 20:30Speaker 4: thing is ruining it. It's just I'm glad Trump didn't
- 20:34Speaker 4: like this is the reason I called I'm glad Trump
- 20:36Speaker 4: did what he did when he did it, okay, because
- 20:39Speaker 4: I don't think you should ever worry about, oh, we're
- 20:42Speaker 4: going to lose the midterms if I don't do this,
- 20:44Speaker 4: let me do it after the midterms. And I've heard
- 20:47Speaker 4: him in interviews. We disagree here. He says we're much closer.
- 20:51Speaker 4: And you you you kind of poo poot it. You're like,
- 20:54Speaker 4: I ran there were they really going to get one?
- 20:57Speaker 4: He had information that they were. I'm glad he went
- 20:59Speaker 4: in he did. I was so happy on February twenty
- 21:02Speaker 4: eighth and just let the court, let let things go
- 21:05Speaker 4: where they may. I'm not critical at all of what
- 21:08Speaker 4: he's doing to Iran. Every day that he goes after
- 21:10Speaker 4: them is a good day, and I don't care if
- 21:12Speaker 4: he does it before the midterms or after the midterms.
- 21:15Speaker 4: They're clearly the number one problem in this world.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Chris. Remember, remember we had absolute, die hard information that
- 21:23Speaker 2: we had weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Die absolutely
- 21:27Speaker 2: die We and I was the biggest defender of going in.
- 21:31Speaker 2: We had absolute information, and then we found some chemicals
- 21:35Speaker 2: on the side of the road. It turns out that
- 21:37Speaker 2: wasn't even true. None of it was true our information.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Either the information was wrong or it was intentionally wrong
- 21:43Speaker 2: because they wanted. You know, they talk about it. You
- 21:45Speaker 2: get the conspiracy theorists and the military industrial complex and
- 21:50Speaker 2: the money that's made and everything else. That's a whole
- 21:52Speaker 2: other argument for another day. But point is, the point
- 21:54Speaker 2: is in go ahed and we got it. We have
- 21:56Speaker 2: to go to the news, so aghead.
- 21:57Speaker 5: Finish, I'll let you go.
- 21:58Speaker 4: But ken Is got us this information. We haven't lost
- 22:02Speaker 4: that many soldiers. Okay, so much different from the Iraq war.
- 22:05Speaker 4: That was so different. Israel got us this information. We
- 22:10Speaker 4: went in. How did we kill forty of their leaders?
- 22:13Speaker 4: By the way, think of that that we killed forty
- 22:16Speaker 4: of their lives?
- 22:16Speaker 2: Actually, you know how honestly? You know you know how right?
- 22:20Speaker 2: Did you know? How?
- 22:21Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 22:21Speaker 2: They we set up. We set up the cameras. They
- 22:23Speaker 2: literally their their cameras that like we have the cameras
- 22:27Speaker 2: in the traffic and everything else. We actually watched their
- 22:30Speaker 2: limos going into a meeting. That's how we killed most
- 22:34Speaker 2: of them. We watched their cars. We saw the license
- 22:37Speaker 2: plates as each limo pulled into a building for a meeting.
- 22:40Speaker 2: We bombed the building. That's how they killed most If
- 22:42Speaker 2: it's not that they went to their individual houses at
- 22:44Speaker 2: specific dimes and took them out. It was brilliant, don't
- 22:47Speaker 2: got me wrong, But it was a lot more one shot,
- 22:50Speaker 2: one time killed them all than people realize.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Well, look at the information we had. That's what I'm saying.
- 22:56Speaker 4: You can't compare it to what well.
- 22:57Speaker 2: That was that was online. It was it was literally
- 23:00Speaker 2: on the internet for anybody to glean and we just
- 23:02Speaker 2: somebody said, hey, you realize all their traffic cams are
- 23:05Speaker 2: online just like ours. I mean, God forbid, the same
- 23:08Speaker 2: could happen us. We better be very careful.
- 23:11Speaker 4: And you don't think I ran it was close to
- 23:12Speaker 4: getting a nuclear weapon, That's just no.
- 23:14Speaker 2: I do think. But the question is, remember two years
- 23:17Speaker 2: ago we said they were right on the verge, and
- 23:18Speaker 2: they weren't. It took two years. So were they, like
- 23:21Speaker 2: tomorrow going to have a nuclear weapon. Maybe they were.
- 23:23Speaker 2: But the fact is, if we had this much information
- 23:26Speaker 2: that we could go in and knock them out in
- 23:27Speaker 2: a day, then we could have waited two more weeks
- 23:30Speaker 2: and knocked them out in a day, or three more
- 23:31Speaker 2: months and knocked them out in a day. That's the
- 23:34Speaker 2: point I'm trying to make. And I listen. I don't
- 23:36Speaker 2: say you're wrong. I could be totally wrong, Chris. I
- 23:39Speaker 2: just hope and keep our fingers crossed. Things don't turn
- 23:42Speaker 2: entirely against this in the fall. I think we're both
- 23:44Speaker 2: on the same page, just with tiny differences. It's like
- 23:46Speaker 2: we're brothers. Who both love Mom, only we love her
- 23:49Speaker 2: in a slightly different way. That's all Chris and Beth Page.
- 23:52Speaker 2: I appreciate that they're always police call back anytime.
- 23:56Speaker 1: This is the Mark Simone Show on seven to ten.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Wo came today, here's Ken, Roseanne, and.
- 24:04Speaker 2: So good to be with you on a Friday. After
- 24:06Speaker 2: all that nasty weather we had yesterday. Fortunately, today's not
- 24:10Speaker 2: going to be anything like yesterday, mixed clouds and sun
- 24:13Speaker 2: and race degic saying it's going to be probably close
- 24:16Speaker 2: to eighty degrees for most of the area, So enjoy
- 24:19Speaker 2: it because we're going to get some more cloudy weather,
- 24:22Speaker 2: maybe some stormy weather again over parts of the weekend.
- 24:25Speaker 2: So it's not gonna be the greatest getaway weekend. But
- 24:28Speaker 2: you know what that means when it's a nasty weather weekend,
- 24:31Speaker 2: it means perfect time to go to the movies. So
- 24:34Speaker 2: you know who knows more about movies than anybody on
- 24:37Speaker 2: earth that I know, it is Roger Friedman of Showbiz
- 24:40Speaker 2: four one one, and he's on the line. Look at that.
- 24:42Speaker 6: Good morning, Roger, good morning, how are you Ken?
- 24:46Speaker 2: You know it's amazing. How do you know to call
- 24:48Speaker 2: when I start talking about what to do? On the weekend,
- 24:50Speaker 2: and it's just amazing. It's like we are connected somewhere
- 24:53Speaker 2: feeling that is Ye, well, it's what I said is true. Though.
- 24:57Speaker 2: There is nobody who knows about movies more than you, sir.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Spider Man. Brand New Day Out of Control already broken
- 25:04Speaker 2: the eight hundred million dollar mark in the US two
- 25:07Speaker 2: billion in sanity. So should people still? Should people still
- 25:12Speaker 2: go see it? Even if they saw.
- 25:15Speaker 6: Oh, I think they've seen it three or four times
- 25:17Speaker 6: I get to this point. Yeah, But it's a lot
- 25:21Speaker 6: of fun. It's very well made. Uh you know this.
- 25:24Speaker 6: The action sequences are terrific, and it answers the questions
- 25:28Speaker 6: from the last movie when Peter Parker's friends no longer
- 25:32Speaker 6: remembered him and Sony remembered him, and that's the main thing.
- 25:37Speaker 6: And you know, it's just huge. And I think there'll
- 25:40Speaker 6: be one more of these with Tom Holland and Sendeia
- 25:45Speaker 6: and then they'll they'll bring it to an end. But
- 25:48Speaker 6: it's it's incredible that I think there have been nine
- 25:52Speaker 6: Spider Man movies now, which is you know, since the
- 25:55Speaker 6: beginning over twenty years and.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Who would have thought?
- 25:58Speaker 6: Who would have thought it? When I was buying Spider
- 26:00Speaker 6: Man comics for twelve cents, you know, every month. I
- 26:05Speaker 6: never would have said to myself, one day this will be,
- 26:08Speaker 6: you know, a gazillion dollar industry, but it really, it
- 26:11Speaker 6: really has turned out to be a fantastic success.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Yeah. Would let me ask you this, if somebody hasn't
- 26:17Speaker 2: seen any of the recent films, can they see this
- 26:19Speaker 2: as a standalone Yeah?
- 26:22Speaker 6: Yeah, you could see this as a standalone movie because
- 26:26Speaker 6: they tell you right at the beginning sort of what
- 26:28Speaker 6: happened in the last one. I mean, it would be
- 26:31Speaker 6: good to see the last one because it was fun
- 26:33Speaker 6: and you could see you know, the last three if
- 26:36Speaker 6: you wanted to. But this one you could just go
- 26:39Speaker 6: into and you can get it. I mean, it's Spider Man.
- 26:41Speaker 6: It's not Macbeth. You know you can by now, Spider
- 26:48Speaker 6: Man has become our Macbeth. I mean in a strange way,
- 26:50Speaker 6: it's become like our Shakespeare because it's just it's like endless.
- 26:54Speaker 6: But these all these franchises, like the Marvel franchise, the
- 26:59Speaker 6: DC Star Wars of the Star Trek, these have become
- 27:04Speaker 6: sort of the literature of this generation. Very weird, but
- 27:10Speaker 6: it's taken off. You know, my movie literature, by the way,
- 27:14Speaker 6: is Whatoody Allen, and I just announced this morning that
- 27:18Speaker 6: he's going to shoot his fifty first movie this fall
- 27:21Speaker 6: in Spain. Wow, he's going to be ninety one at
- 27:25Speaker 6: the end of November. I just, I just I was
- 27:29Speaker 6: just told that he's shooting his fifty first movie in
- 27:32Speaker 6: Madrid and don't know who the cast is yet. He's
- 27:36Speaker 6: also apparently been finishing up a new novel, a second novel,
- 27:41Speaker 6: and a play for the stage. So that's incredible to me.
- 27:46Speaker 6: He's our Shakespeare. But maybe he'll put spider Man in
- 27:49Speaker 6: the movie. I don't know.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Yeah, right, well, now wait a second, Woody Allen, you're
- 27:54Speaker 2: saying that he is more of a favorite when it
- 27:56Speaker 2: comes to movies than Madonna is.
- 27:57Speaker 6: To you, Madonna, This is the funniest thing, isn't it.
- 28:02Speaker 6: The Criterion Channel, which is, like, you know, it's supposed
- 28:07Speaker 6: to be an intellectual channel for great film buffs. They're
- 28:10Speaker 6: going to do a retrospective of three Madonna movies this
- 28:14Speaker 6: fall this fall, And she's the worst actress ever in films,
- 28:22Speaker 6: And the only movie that she made really that was
- 28:24Speaker 6: of any interest was Desperately Seeking Susan, which was you know,
- 28:27Speaker 6: forty years ago, and that was because of Rosanna Arquette
- 28:31Speaker 6: and because of the director, Susan Seidelman, who was so great.
- 28:36Speaker 6: But outside of that, Madonna is that. You know, she's
- 28:38Speaker 6: a great personality and a great performer, but she's a
- 28:41Speaker 6: terrible actress. Nevertheless, two of her besides Desperately Seeking Susan,
- 28:48Speaker 6: two of her worst movies are going to be part
- 28:51Speaker 6: of the Criterion Channel next month. I don't get it,
- 28:56Speaker 6: but it should be. It should be amusing, it.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Should be all right. Zevnded Wy, the voice of New
- 29:02Speaker 2: York n Rosatto in from Mark on a Friday, speaking
- 29:04Speaker 2: with the great Roger Friedman of Showbiz for one One
- 29:07Speaker 2: can check it out at showbizore one one dot com.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Before I let you go, we got to talk about
- 29:12Speaker 2: two things. Of course, The Odyssey is at the half
- 29:15Speaker 2: billion dollar mark, still a great film and doing well.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And Anne Hathaway, if I need to buy a lottery ticket,
- 29:21Speaker 2: I'm asking Anne Hathaway because she knows how to pick them.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Three superstar powerhouse scripts.
- 29:28Speaker 6: She's got a horror movie called The End of Oak
- 29:31Speaker 6: Street that people seem to like. I haven't seen it.
- 29:35Speaker 6: And then she had the devilwares producto earlier in this
- 29:38Speaker 6: in the spring, and she's the star of the Odyssey.
- 29:42Speaker 6: She's going to get an Oscar nomination. The Odyssey is
- 29:44Speaker 6: going to get like fifteen Oscar nominations. I can't imagine
- 29:48Speaker 6: any other film coming out between now and the end
- 29:50Speaker 6: of the year that will match it in any way.
- 29:53Speaker 6: So we know the Odyssey is going to be crowned
- 29:55Speaker 6: next March with all kinds of awards. And I wanted
- 29:59Speaker 6: to tell you about one other little film that's playing
- 30:01Speaker 6: in New York if you can find it. It's called
- 30:03Speaker 6: Late Fame and it stars Willem Dafoe. And I love
- 30:07Speaker 6: this film and I'd like people to see it if
- 30:09Speaker 6: they can. And it's a real independent film, but it's
- 30:12Speaker 6: beautifully done and I think if you're a real film person,
- 30:15Speaker 6: you'd enjoy it.
- 30:17Speaker 2: I love it. And I'm tired of people calling him
- 30:19Speaker 2: William Dafaue. By the way, if I hear it one
- 30:21Speaker 2: more time, I'm going to bite my cheekins. And he's
- 30:26Speaker 2: born here.
- 30:27Speaker 6: I've never heard anyone call him Billy.
- 30:31Speaker 2: I've had so many, so many a conversation. I only
- 30:33Speaker 2: know this stuff only because I went to NYU Film
- 30:35Speaker 2: school right to this school. And I remember having this
- 30:38Speaker 2: intellectual conversation with somebody and they said, well, you know
- 30:41Speaker 2: when he was born in Germany, I said, isn't American?
- 30:43Speaker 2: What do you mean? Born in Germany? Villain the Foe
- 30:45Speaker 2: was born here. He's like as American as us, totally,
- 30:48Speaker 2: one hundred percent. Just one last thing before I let
- 30:50Speaker 2: you go. Roger Chris Rock, whom I love. I love
- 30:54Speaker 2: Chris Rock, brilliant guy. His cousin April Rock could become
- 30:59Speaker 2: an SNL. She might be.
- 31:02Speaker 6: They're making the decisions right now. A but the you know,
- 31:06Speaker 6: some people have left SNL. It's always happens, and they'll
- 31:10Speaker 6: be adding a couple of new young people. And they've
- 31:12Speaker 6: been looking for a young black female comic. They haven't
- 31:16Speaker 6: really had one since Ego Noodum, who I loved. She
- 31:21Speaker 6: left a couple of last year in twenty twenty five.
- 31:24Speaker 6: And so yeah, this April Rock, who's I have her
- 31:27Speaker 6: videos up on the site on Showbiz four on one.
- 31:29Speaker 6: She's terrific and she's I think she's Chris's first or
- 31:33Speaker 6: second cousin, and she's not an EPO baby. She's funny
- 31:37Speaker 6: on her own, very talented, and she may be who knows,
- 31:40Speaker 6: she may be one of the next people to join
- 31:43Speaker 6: the SNL cast.
- 31:44Speaker 2: She has one tenth the talent of Chris Rock. Then
- 31:46Speaker 2: we're in for something very special because Chris Rock is
- 31:49Speaker 2: just a brilliant, brilliant person and.
- 31:51Speaker 6: He has By the way, Chris Rock has a great
- 31:53Speaker 6: movie coming out this fall. I can't remember the name
- 31:57Speaker 6: of it, but you'll be seeing the press about it
- 31:59Speaker 6: soon and it's going to play at the New York
- 32:01Speaker 6: Film Festival. So we'll watch it there.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Yeah, let's look it up. As we talked to you,
- 32:05Speaker 2: Chris Rock movie. I'm typing it in right now. Let's
- 32:07Speaker 2: find it. We got you can't tease us like that. Okay,
- 32:11Speaker 2: let's see come on, come on, come on, let's get
- 32:14Speaker 2: with the internet here. Let's see movie movie, all right,
- 32:18Speaker 2: grown ups? We were any other and Beverly Hills comps.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Old doesn't have the new stuff. It doesn't have anything here.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I'm sure. Oh that's why he directed Head of State. No,
- 32:30Speaker 2: that's that's that's that's old. We'll figure it out if
- 32:35Speaker 2: we If you find out while we're on the air,
- 32:37Speaker 2: please let us know and I'll mention it on you.
- 32:38Speaker 6: Misty Green, that's called Misty Green.
- 32:41Speaker 2: There we go, Misty Green. Chris Rock direct.
- 32:43Speaker 6: Called Misty Green, and I hear it's terrific and I'm
- 32:46Speaker 6: really looking forward to it.
- 32:48Speaker 2: You know, when I was a Channel seven, Chris used
- 32:50Speaker 2: to have an apartment on the Upper West Uh when
- 32:53Speaker 2: he I guess during the week, if he was doing
- 32:54Speaker 2: anything in Manhattan, he would stay at his apartment and
- 32:57Speaker 2: then he lived over and I think Alpine at the
- 33:00Speaker 2: time when he was married, but he would pop by
- 33:03Speaker 2: the studios and he would wave into the window. He
- 33:05Speaker 2: and Lori Stokes, my co anchor at the time, they
- 33:07Speaker 2: were friends. He would wave in and I'd say, that's
- 33:10Speaker 2: Chris Rock, and you know, we'd be on the air
- 33:12Speaker 2: talking about getting distracted while you're doing the news. It
- 33:14Speaker 2: was pretty cool, very nice man. The few times I
- 33:17Speaker 2: got to read him again. The website is showbiz for
- 33:20Speaker 2: one one. You could check it out at showbiz four
- 33:23Speaker 2: one one dot com. All one word Roger Friedman always
- 33:26Speaker 2: a pleasure, my friend. Have a great weekend.
- 33:28Speaker 6: Thank you very much.
- 33:30Speaker 2: You bet partly cloudys. Guys today High's upper seventies got
- 33:33Speaker 2: to take your calls next eight hundred three two one

- 33:45Speaker 1: Back live from the WR Life Back Studios. Go Mark
- 33:49Speaker 1: Zimone show Guess hosting from Mark today, Ken Rosatto and
- 33:56Speaker 1: so good to be.
- 33:56Speaker 2: With you on a Friday. Not a bad day at
- 33:58Speaker 2: all after all the stormy whether we had yesterday. Today's
- 34:01Speaker 2: going to be partner cloudy high's near eighty degrees. We
- 34:04Speaker 2: go to our busy phones right now. Carlos in Union,
- 34:06Speaker 2: New Jersey, Good morning.
- 34:09Speaker 5: Hey, Ken, how are you okay? The Muslims, as you know,
- 34:13Speaker 5: in California, unless the superintendent got paid off, I don't
- 34:16Speaker 5: know where she was. There was a school trip was
- 34:19Speaker 5: at the parents' consent, and these students were taken to
- 34:22Speaker 5: a mosque and they were getting up this phony book
- 34:25Speaker 5: to Koran and the women had this thing over the head.
- 34:28Speaker 5: I mean, the thing is this like you mentioned before,
- 34:31Speaker 5: I mean, don't come here trying to indoctorate Our country
- 34:35Speaker 5: found it on Christian biblical principles. And I don't know.
- 34:39Speaker 5: I mean to me, I have nothing against anybody, but
- 34:42Speaker 5: these people, you know, mostly they should go back to
- 34:44Speaker 5: the country. You know what practice what you believe, but
- 34:47Speaker 5: don't bring it over here.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Yeah, well, the school you're talking about, I remember hearing
- 34:51Speaker 2: the story. It happened in the fall, and it was
- 34:53Speaker 2: at Palo Alto High School's Social Justice Pathway. So that's
- 34:57Speaker 2: you're talking about up in the area, and you're closer
- 34:59Speaker 2: to San Francisco where they happen to be to the
- 35:01Speaker 2: left of mouse say tung. And yes, the kids went
- 35:03Speaker 2: on this was a public school. They went on a
- 35:05Speaker 2: field trip to a mosque. So you got to scratch
- 35:08Speaker 2: your head because you would never have a field trip
- 35:10Speaker 2: to a Catholic church or a field trip to a
- 35:12Speaker 2: Protestant church or whatever, or to a temple, but yet
- 35:14Speaker 2: they had a field trip to a mosque. If you're
- 35:17Speaker 2: going to do it for one, you gotta do it
- 35:19Speaker 2: for all. I don't have a problem with doing it
- 35:21Speaker 2: for all, But you can't just do it for one
- 35:23Speaker 2: and then make that the official kind of the state message,
- 35:25Speaker 2: because that's when you get into trouble. Thank you so
- 35:27Speaker 2: much for the call, Carlos. We appreciate it. Seven to
- 35:29Speaker 2: ten w R. Ken Rozotto win from Mark
