- 0:08Speaker 1: And I invited you here. I thought I made myself
- 0:14Speaker 1: perfectly clear. When you're a guest to my home, you
- 0:21Speaker 1: gotta come to me empty. And I said, no, guests,
- 0:27Speaker 1: your presences presents enough. I already had too much stuff.
- 0:35Speaker 2: So how do you dare to surbey me?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Welcome to I said, no gifts. I'm prettyer whine girl.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I'm feeling loose, I'm feeling wild, I'm feeling out of control.
- 1:00Speaker 2: What is happening.
- 1:01Speaker 3: I've been playing a lot of a video game called Pocopia.
- 1:04Speaker 3: This is a video game where you've got to kind
- 1:07Speaker 3: of just take care of Pokemon. You've got to make
- 1:09Speaker 3: sure the pokemon are comfortable. I've been for the last
- 1:12Speaker 3: few days. I have been just making sure all of
- 1:15Speaker 3: my Pokemon are comfortable. I've barely had a minute for myself.
- 1:19Speaker 3: I had a confrontation with my neighbor's dog. If I hit,
- 1:22Speaker 3: attacked and killed me, we probably wouldn't be recording today.
- 1:25Speaker 3: So that's kind of my life, not getting attacked by
- 1:29Speaker 3: a dog, taking care of my Pokemon. My retainer is
- 1:33Speaker 3: being cleaned as we speak. It's at home in the
- 1:36Speaker 3: glass with the tablet. So I've got one thing to
- 1:39Speaker 3: look forward to and is do I have any business?
- 1:43Speaker 3: Let's see. No, I don't think so. I mean, I
- 1:46Speaker 3: am wondering if if anybody knows if the man who
- 1:49Speaker 3: does my taxes, if he exists, he's out of touch. Bruce,
- 1:53Speaker 3: reach out. The deadline's coming and I could use some assistance,
- 2:00Speaker 3: I think. And Jim has left town. Jim is out
- 2:02Speaker 3: of town. So you can see that my structure is
- 2:04Speaker 3: just completely lost. I've I need some I need somebody
- 2:09Speaker 3: with a strong hand in my life. Essentially, I think
- 2:12Speaker 3: that that's all we have to talk about. Uh oh,
- 2:16Speaker 3: somebody mentioned to me recently the gift or a curse
- 2:19Speaker 3: card game. They're running out of that, so if you
- 2:22Speaker 3: want one, go to exactly wright store dot com and
- 2:25Speaker 3: then find your way online. I don't know. Let's get
- 2:27Speaker 3: into the podcast. Today's guest is wonderful. It's Caitlin Riley. Caitlin,
- 2:32Speaker 3: welcome to I said no gifts.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Thank you so much for having me. How are you?
- 2:35Speaker 2: I'm so good just watching you work, beautiful and fascinating.
- 2:40Speaker 2: What a what a profession.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Thank you so much. Our Dick Clark, I am, I'm
- 2:45Speaker 3: essentially our Dick Clark. Yeah, you really are get to
- 2:48Speaker 3: do the ball countdown.
- 2:50Speaker 2: I mean, who cares?
- 2:52Speaker 3: When's my rock and New Year's Eve?
- 2:53Speaker 2: I don't know, but you need to get on there.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I need a rock in New Year's Eve.
- 2:56Speaker 2: You really do.
- 2:57Speaker 3: You were telling me right before we started recording that
- 3:00Speaker 3: you've had some alarm trouble.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yes, I have a house guest right now, and so
- 3:06Speaker 2: I had to go back and fix the alarm. So
- 3:08Speaker 2: I I was late. I was late. I was like,
- 3:11Speaker 2: disrespectfully late. I was like twenty minutes late.
- 3:14Speaker 3: It was, oh, twenty minutes, I don't think so fifteen.
- 3:17Speaker 2: But I actually I parked four blocks away accidentally, and
- 3:20Speaker 2: then I was walking around an apartment building and I
- 3:23Speaker 2: was like, I didn't know I was going to Bridger's apartment.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Is what is this? And then I realized that I
- 3:29Speaker 2: was not at my destination, so I had to go back.
- 3:32Speaker 2: It was really a series of unfortunate events.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Did you move the car to our beautiful parking lot
- 3:37Speaker 3: or you still no?
- 3:38Speaker 2: I parked on the street because I couldn't find the
- 3:39Speaker 2: parking lot. I was an absolute tizzy.
- 3:43Speaker 3: This is what the alarm will do, though, I know.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Did the house guests call and say I set off
- 3:48Speaker 3: the alarm or did the alarm company call or the police?
- 3:51Speaker 2: You get a notification and so there's like a ten
- 3:53Speaker 2: second countdown and then they're like something's wrong. So then
- 3:58Speaker 2: you have to go back and fix it.
- 4:00Speaker 3: God, and what happens? Then then it alerts the police.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I feel like it alerts. I think it's simply safe.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Okay, yes, sure, I have simply saved this way. Are
- 4:09Speaker 3: they a sponsor, we don't know what they are or
- 4:12Speaker 3: if they're collecting our information. We don't know what they
- 4:14Speaker 3: are as a company.
- 4:15Speaker 2: I think everything's collecting our inform I think you're collecting
- 4:17Speaker 2: my information.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Or collecting your voice. We're going to do a spinoff
- 4:21Speaker 3: of this podcast using the AI.
- 4:23Speaker 2: With your voice, but it's going to be just like
- 4:25Speaker 2: completely red pilled. It's just like my my voice but
- 4:28Speaker 2: saying the most insane, horrible tin hat.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Theories, awful things about women, awful.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Things about women, awful things about anyone that should have
- 4:38Speaker 2: rights or any kind of love or compassion of any kind. Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I just watched the Uh there's a new documentary about
- 4:44Speaker 3: the manosphere. Have you seen this?
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yes? Yes, yes, I was waiting to watch it with
- 4:48Speaker 2: my husband lol, But then I watched it myself because
- 4:51Speaker 2: women's rights.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Right. You should have waited for your god.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I should have waited for my god, your God. But
- 4:55Speaker 2: it is fascinating that guy does a really good documentary.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it's really interesting the way he's able to get
- 5:01Speaker 3: into these people's world and basically like tell them they're idiots,
- 5:04Speaker 3: and they keep him around anyway he's doing it.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I think, Yeah, he creates this like safe space for
- 5:12Speaker 2: them to just let their freak flag fly in front
- 5:16Speaker 2: of a camera.
- 5:18Speaker 3: But he is saying things to them. But he tells
- 5:19Speaker 3: one guy he needs to work on his calves.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like, well, you don't say that to a
- 5:23Speaker 2: straight man.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Oh no, no, and he doesn't. Yeah, So I wonder
- 5:27Speaker 3: if there's like it's like, is this sort of like
- 5:29Speaker 3: an uncle energy where you like bring them in and
- 5:31Speaker 3: they're like able to ras you a little bit, but
- 5:33Speaker 3: you keep them around. Like, how are they so open
- 5:36Speaker 3: with this guy?
- 5:36Speaker 2: Well? Is he is he British or Australian? I think
- 5:41Speaker 2: he's British? Okay, so I feel like any person that's
- 5:45Speaker 2: British kind of gets like a social free pass. Yeah,
- 5:50Speaker 2: because all of a sudden, like for some reason, I
- 5:52Speaker 2: trust you, right, I imagine you're really smarter than me. Yeah,
- 5:56Speaker 2: you sound really smart, and I feel like you're just
- 5:57Speaker 2: kind of here to observed and.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Think that one influencer's mom showing up at the end
- 6:05Speaker 3: was what's going on with her? Yeah, what's going on
- 6:08Speaker 3: with any of these horrible fears?
- 6:10Speaker 2: God, it's really really disturbing. It's really disturbing.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I mean, I was obviously upset not to be invited on.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Of course, as key member, you're very much.
- 6:18Speaker 2: A part of the manosphere.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I would say, a cornerstone you.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you're a founding father for sure of
- 6:27Speaker 2: that of that ILK right.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not. It feels like just an entirely different universe,
- 6:33Speaker 3: and like these people are unbelievably famous and I've never
- 6:36Speaker 3: seen or heard of them.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Well yeah, I mean my nephew is seventeen and I know,
- 6:43Speaker 2: and so he's sort of like, I'm not a Republican,
- 6:45Speaker 2: but I'm also not a Democrat, which is I think, Well,
- 6:49Speaker 2: I don't are we talking politics.
- 6:52Speaker 3: On your foot, We're talking seventeen year old politics.
- 6:55Speaker 2: We're talking seventeen year old politics. Where he said that,
- 6:57Speaker 2: and I was like, for a seventeen year old, I
- 6:58Speaker 2: feel like that's a red flags.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Huge as a teenager.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah, so I'm like, so, but so what are you?
- 7:04Speaker 2: You know? And I think that he dabbles in this
- 7:09Speaker 2: world a little bit. And there's this new wave of
- 7:12Speaker 2: gen zers or I don't need is it Jen Alpha?
- 7:16Speaker 3: Now? Where are Jen Alpha is really coming up with?
- 7:18Speaker 3: I saw a headline that was like twenty five percent
- 7:21Speaker 3: of jen Alpha thinks that the woman should stay at.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Home or something. And so that's the thing. He wants
- 7:26Speaker 2: to get married super young. He wants to have like
- 7:29Speaker 2: six kids. What he wants his wife to be a
- 7:33Speaker 2: stay at home mot Like, I'm a little worried. You're
- 7:36Speaker 2: a little scared. I don't really know what's going on.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah, like in this inside a teenager's mind, thinking that
- 7:41Speaker 3: in that way just doesn't It doesn't seem at all
- 7:44Speaker 3: familiar to me.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I think we're I think we're going a little
- 7:48Speaker 2: they're very the young the youngins are very conservative.
- 7:51Speaker 3: But something that realized that's going to get in the
- 7:53Speaker 3: way of their gaming. You got six kids, you're not
- 7:56Speaker 3: going to be able to get on Twitch.
- 7:58Speaker 2: That's true. That's a good point. They all to be
- 8:00Speaker 2: twitch streamers, right.
- 8:01Speaker 3: So I don't these things don't feel compatible to me. Yeah,
- 8:04Speaker 3: I mean maybe that's the wife having to clean the
- 8:06Speaker 3: house while you said on twitch.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Right, well, because man can play game, wife can clean kitchen, right,
- 8:12Speaker 2: you know, the natural order, the natural order of things.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Instead of hunting, we're gaming there, so they're hunting. But
- 8:18Speaker 2: in the game.
- 8:19Speaker 3: You know, gamers don't come for me. I'm playing Pokemon.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Well, you mentioned that I am. I'm a gamer myself.
- 8:28Speaker 3: We're all gamers.
- 8:29Speaker 2: We're all gamers at heart. Come on, wait, so is
- 8:33Speaker 2: this like a game on your phone or what.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Is a game on my switch?
- 8:37Speaker 2: It's called Pocopia. Okay, so I have a switch, but
- 8:40Speaker 2: I never charge it and I and I forget about
- 8:42Speaker 2: it will cause problems for you.
- 8:44Speaker 3: It's kind of like I never played did you ever
- 8:46Speaker 3: play Animal Crossing?
- 8:48Speaker 2: I got really bored.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Okay, I'm bored by that as well. People were wild
- 8:52Speaker 3: about it.
- 8:53Speaker 2: But people tell me COVID Yeah, I know, Elijah Wood
- 8:55Speaker 2: was a big Animals player from what I remember.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean almost everyone and I very alienated because
- 9:01Speaker 3: I found it boring.
- 9:02Speaker 2: It's boring.
- 9:03Speaker 3: This is kind of like that, but it's not boring
- 9:05Speaker 3: because you are concerned about everyone's comfort and if you
- 9:09Speaker 3: care about if you're if you're an mpath like.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Me, okay, you will be just like someone with trauma.
- 9:14Speaker 3: With trauma, you'll be like, what what does Bulbasor need?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Right now? What does Bulbasor need? Is there fighting?
- 9:20Speaker 3: There's no fighting yet?
- 9:21Speaker 2: Okay, I need fighting.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Oh you need to pit them. You need the kind
- 9:23Speaker 3: of dog fighting aspect of it.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I need fighting, but it needs to be magical. Right. So,
- 9:29Speaker 2: I about two years ago got really unhealthily obsessed with
- 9:35Speaker 2: Hogwarts legacy.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Oh sure, and this is do you like, are you
- 9:40Speaker 3: Harry Potter in this or your another wizard?
- 9:42Speaker 2: So your it's like one hundred and twenty five years
- 9:46Speaker 2: before the story of Harry Potter started, right. So you're
- 9:49Speaker 2: a student at Hogwarts, right, and they sort you in
- 9:53Speaker 2: a house, right, and it's a full open world, right,
- 9:56Speaker 2: and there are main quests, there are side quests, but
- 9:59Speaker 2: you are a wizard. Uh huh. And it's really incredible.
- 10:04Speaker 3: I imagine it kind of takes over your life.
- 10:06Speaker 2: It does. I played. I think I logged one hundred
- 10:09Speaker 2: and twenty seven hours in a month. Oh my god.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Yeah, what's the end game in this thing?
- 10:15Speaker 2: You just you you finish it? So then After that,
- 10:21Speaker 2: I moved on to what am I playing right now?
- 10:23Speaker 2: Star Wars Outlaws or basically you're this female character named
- 10:28Speaker 2: Kves but she's essentially Han solo and you go on
- 10:31Speaker 2: a lot of crazy Well I realized that it has
- 10:38Speaker 2: to be like open world adventure based and it has
- 10:41Speaker 2: to be based off of a movie, like like my
- 10:46Speaker 2: husband was like, you should play Skyrim, and I was like, no,
- 10:48Speaker 2: that's stupid, But it's essentially the same thing.
- 10:50Speaker 3: That's also like a wizard a thing.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I think. I like wizards, right, I love Wizards.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean obviously there's the complication of jk Rowling
- 10:58Speaker 3: at this point of.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Course, so that that is the issue that I had
- 11:01Speaker 2: found where sort of my soul is like, I feel
- 11:04Speaker 2: like I shouldn't be doing this.
- 11:05Speaker 3: We're all kind of trapped. We should, I mean, but
- 11:08Speaker 3: we should always you know, just note jk Rowling each
- 11:11Speaker 3: shit sort of situation die. But the wonderful world of
- 11:15Speaker 3: wizarding it's very complicated.
- 11:17Speaker 2: What wizard I mean, it's not the right I don't
- 11:21Speaker 2: think she got a paycheck from this.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Right, I mean, unfortunately, I think she makes a paycheck
- 11:24Speaker 3: from probably like every book sale at this point. This
- 11:27Speaker 3: woman is just pure evil and.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Yeah, she's awful.
- 11:30Speaker 3: I just kind of I actually feel like evil is cool.
- 11:33Speaker 2: She's like a loser, loser, I mean imagine, like so
- 11:38Speaker 2: like if she died tomorrow, the only thing that we'll
- 11:41Speaker 2: be talking about is God, she fucking sucked. Like, imagine
- 11:45Speaker 2: accomplishing the most incredible thing, like creating this magical world
- 11:49Speaker 2: renowned series of Harry Potter and then failing so hard
- 11:53Speaker 2: as a human being that if you died tomorrow, everyone's like, yeah, wow,
- 11:57Speaker 2: that was the most loser person truly. Can you imagine?
- 12:01Speaker 3: She spends all her day online?
- 12:03Speaker 2: Yes, get a live honey, get a light. Well, she
- 12:05Speaker 2: has more money than gods, I know, but.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Like we got to do something.
- 12:09Speaker 2: In Costa Rica and get offline. What is wrong?
- 12:12Speaker 3: Find one hobby?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Find start needle stitching?
- 12:16Speaker 3: Is that what it's called needle stitching? That might be
- 12:18Speaker 3: a needle needle point stitching, cross stitching, needle points. These
- 12:25Speaker 3: are separate disciplines and their third one crochet.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Crochet is really fun.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Okay, see, look at us. We're thinking of ideas for
- 12:34Speaker 3: this lady.
- 12:35Speaker 2: We're trying to help her.
- 12:38Speaker 3: It's also the sort of thing where it's like change
- 12:41Speaker 3: your mind and suddenly you're the coolest person alive.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:43Speaker 3: People are like, wow, there's someone who who actually figured
- 12:46Speaker 3: it out. Yeah, and said she's online, she's on Twitter.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Twitter, Just lose it X.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Actually, thank you, thank you for showing it respect deserves.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Yeah, give it the respect it deserves. It's X. Now.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I actually got bullied off of X because I made
- 13:04Speaker 2: a joke, and the joke was Emma Stone could do
- 13:08Speaker 2: the Joker, but Joaquin Phoenix could never do La La Land.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Oh interesting, Wow you were I mean, just throwing yourself
- 13:16Speaker 3: out there to be devoured.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so I think the Joker had come out. And respectfully,
- 13:22Speaker 2: I've never hated a movie more. It's so bad. I've
- 13:24Speaker 2: never hated a movie more. And then the second one
- 13:26Speaker 2: was like, oh wow, it's even worse. Caitlin, But I
- 13:31Speaker 2: feel like I can't say those things otherwise I'm not
- 13:33Speaker 2: going to get.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I'm going to say something controversial. What I didn't mind
- 13:36Speaker 3: Joker two. Okay, Look, I'm willing to defend myself. Is
- 13:41Speaker 3: it because the water on my side, by.
- 13:43Speaker 2: The way, Okay, and I do remember John Water's coming
- 13:45Speaker 2: out validated my FEELIX Okay, and so I do remember
- 13:48Speaker 2: that happening, and I remember thinking, h John Waters sees
- 13:51Speaker 2: something here, so I think I think it was like
- 13:55Speaker 2: a boomerang where the Joker too was so like what
- 13:59Speaker 2: the fuck crazy, right, that it boomeranged back around and
- 14:02Speaker 2: then it was like expert camp.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Absolutely. I mean it was like I mean, in so
- 14:07Speaker 3: many ways, it was like it made all of the
- 14:08Speaker 3: people who liked the original Bad One mad, yes, which
- 14:12Speaker 3: that alone is like this feels good. This feels good
- 14:14Speaker 3: that those people are mad, and it was just weird
- 14:17Speaker 3: and strangely. First one was just kind of a rip
- 14:18Speaker 3: off of Taxi Driver. The second one was like what
- 14:20Speaker 3: am I looking at? Right? It was really I mean,
- 14:22Speaker 3: there was a courtroom sequence that was like seven hours long.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Of course that was tough, but I went in with
- 14:28Speaker 3: such low expectations that my friend and I looked at
- 14:30Speaker 3: each other after and we were like, that wasn't that bad?
- 14:33Speaker 3: And then John Waters comes along and says it was
- 14:35Speaker 3: one of his favorite movies of the year, and I thought, Okay,
- 14:37Speaker 3: maybe they did something here.
- 14:39Speaker 2: You do have a very good point. I might have
- 14:41Speaker 2: to give it a rewatch in the background while I'm
- 14:44Speaker 2: doing laundry.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I hate to defend anything Joker men, the Joker, any
- 14:50Speaker 3: of these things.
- 14:51Speaker 2: But I mean, at the end of the day, everyone's
- 14:53Speaker 2: making art, right, and that's okay, and that's good and
- 14:55Speaker 2: art is good and art's important, right.
- 14:58Speaker 3: And it was a big reveal of Connor's story. Wait,
- 15:02Speaker 3: you know he's at the end of that movie. I
- 15:04Speaker 3: mean he's throughout the movie and he's like the big
- 15:06Speaker 3: shocking end of the movie.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I don't remember. I only watched bits and pieces.
- 15:10Speaker 3: People are gonna, look, there's gonna be a retrospect, but.
- 15:12Speaker 2: That's on me because I'm sitting here saying I hate
- 15:14Speaker 2: a movie that I didn't watch all of it.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Okay, interesting, So now this is your giving fuel to
- 15:19Speaker 3: the manisphere. Right, You're gonna be bullied off of this podcast, right. No,
- 15:24Speaker 3: he's at the end of the movie. Spoiler he kills
- 15:28Speaker 3: Woking Phoenix.
- 15:30Speaker 2: That was Connor's story.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Yes, he's great.
- 15:35Speaker 2: It's so funny. Before I watched Heated Rivalry, Tod just
- 15:38Speaker 2: come out. I was at an event.
- 15:41Speaker 3: You can kind of say that about literally anything in
- 15:43Speaker 3: your life.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I was at an event.
- 15:46Speaker 3: You're constantly at the market, definite.
- 15:49Speaker 2: I was at a pop up event. I was buying groceries,
- 15:52Speaker 2: but I was at an event and Connor's story walks Connor.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I'm gonna call him Connor Stories because I think that's funnier.
- 15:58Speaker 3: I call I think I've done that by mistake.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Yeah, but he walked past me and he was like,
- 16:02Speaker 2: I love you. You're the funniest person alive. And I
- 16:04Speaker 2: was like, oh, thank you. And I was like, Oh,
- 16:06Speaker 2: that's that's the Russian guy from he did Rivalry. The
- 16:09Speaker 2: next day I watched it. It took over my life
- 16:12Speaker 2: and my soul and I must, I must find him again.
- 16:17Speaker 2: You will, because now I love him.
- 16:20Speaker 3: And he seems like a genuinely nice person. Yeah, doesn't
- 16:23Speaker 3: great Russian, Great Russian.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And let's not forget Hudson Williams. Let's not forget Hutson Williams. Girl,
- 16:34Speaker 2: he does a great job. He was incredible, called them
- 16:37Speaker 2: the boys.
- 16:37Speaker 3: We don't want to laugh.
- 16:38Speaker 2: We love Hudson Williams. He's a Kutie Batiti.
- 16:41Speaker 3: He just doesn't do a Russian accent or Russian right.
- 16:44Speaker 3: And that's an impressive thing. I kept saying, trying to
- 16:47Speaker 3: be smart through the first two episodes to my boyfriend, Oh,
- 16:50Speaker 3: this is all just really high tech cig with the
- 16:53Speaker 3: Russian they've they've done some sort of dubbing.
- 16:55Speaker 2: That can't possibly really think that? Yeah?
- 16:57Speaker 3: I was like, k I was just like, this feels
- 16:59Speaker 3: so convincing. How could he possibly as a stupid person.
- 17:03Speaker 3: I was just like, there's no way, and as kind
- 17:05Speaker 3: of an undisciplined person who would never possibly learn how
- 17:08Speaker 3: to do.
- 17:08Speaker 2: That, and I would neither.
- 17:09Speaker 3: I was like, well, there's just no way unless his
- 17:12Speaker 3: parents are Russian. But they're not. He I guess he's
- 17:15Speaker 3: just that good.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I thought he was Russian. Russian. But then I was like,
- 17:18Speaker 2: can Russians act? Oh?
- 17:20Speaker 3: Interesting?
- 17:20Speaker 2: You know that's the big question? Can they act? I
- 17:25Speaker 2: don't know. I don't think they can act like that.
- 17:27Speaker 3: If I don't know, if that one Russian has ever
- 17:30Speaker 3: been able to act?
- 17:32Speaker 2: Name a Russian. Give me a proof. Name a Russian
- 17:34Speaker 2: who can act.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I can't think of one.
- 17:37Speaker 2: I can't think of one.
- 17:38Speaker 3: If I can't think of one, it's obviously true.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Well, one of my best friends is like full blow Russian.
- 17:43Speaker 2: She has an incredible actress that's okay.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Interesting, Yet you're not willing to name her.
- 17:48Speaker 2: She will be unnamed. She will be unnamed.
- 17:51Speaker 3: You're not her publicist, you're her friends.
- 17:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna, I'm gonna have to get paid if I'm
- 17:55Speaker 2: gonna if I'm gonna name her.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Well, I mean, look, speaking of shocking things and people
- 18:02Speaker 3: being stupid, I was looking forward to having you here
- 18:06Speaker 3: on the podcast.
- 18:06Speaker 2: To thank you so much. I was looking forward to
- 18:08Speaker 2: being here. I'm such a fan of the pot thank you.
- 18:11Speaker 3: I mean, well, look, I guess that may or may
- 18:13Speaker 3: not be true because the podcast is called I said
- 18:15Speaker 3: no Gifts.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Which I love. I love that title and I love
- 18:19Speaker 2: the continess of it, and I love that you are
- 18:21Speaker 2: just sort of adorned like I feel very like I
- 18:24Speaker 2: should have done I should have done that.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Oh, are you a little jealous of all the things.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I'm a little jealous. I kind of feel like I
- 18:30Speaker 2: should have put a little more ooph in my gift
- 18:33Speaker 2: that I brontersting.
- 18:34Speaker 3: So you did bring a gift.
- 18:35Speaker 2: I did bring a gift. I did.
- 18:38Speaker 3: I did notice you. You know, you should have really late.
- 18:40Speaker 3: That was rude. And then I saw you holding a
- 18:42Speaker 3: gift that was rude because you strike right. Yeah, I
- 18:45Speaker 3: don't know what the third strike will be.
- 18:48Speaker 2: But I haven't said anything offensive.
- 18:51Speaker 3: No, nothing offensive okay yet not yet.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Thank God. We're not having wine.
- 18:58Speaker 3: It's wine o'clock. Well, we get into the gift here.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I think that we should. It's not wrapped.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I think maybe that's wrapped. Okay, Okay, I would say
- 19:09Speaker 3: it's beautifully wrapped. It's in kind of this gorgeous white sweater.
- 19:15Speaker 2: It's in this gorgeous white sweater that I picked up
- 19:18Speaker 2: in London, and it is it is meant to wrap gifts.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Okay, of course this is a gift sweater.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Then you unwrap it.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Let me unwrap this, okay, okay, let's see if we
- 19:32Speaker 3: can get can we get sweater noise on the podcast?
- 19:35Speaker 3: Swetter noise, m soft? Okay, we're unwrapping.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Oh what could it be? It's erotic terror? Oh my god.
- 19:50Speaker 3: This is I've I've said this before. This is an
- 19:52Speaker 3: erotic podcast.
- 19:54Speaker 2: And that is how I felt coming here, is that this.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Is erotic ultimately erotic. Yeah, an erotic Manisphere podcast.
- 20:02Speaker 2: An erotic Manisphere podcast where there are no Russians in
- 20:06Speaker 2: sights because Russians cannot act right.
- 20:08Speaker 3: There are a few rules and that's kind of what
- 20:10Speaker 3: we build this on. Why did you bring me erotic Taro?
- 20:14Speaker 2: Because I know you really, really well, I've known you
- 20:16Speaker 2: for years, right, And I just kind of feel like
- 20:19Speaker 2: that that is so you. It's so you. And do
- 20:23Speaker 2: you want to know a rule? If you want to
- 20:26Speaker 2: have a tarot deck in your house, you should not
- 20:29Speaker 2: go out and buy yourself a tarot deck. You should
- 20:32Speaker 2: use a tarot deck that was gifted to you.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Is that true?
- 20:35Speaker 2: Yes, why it's I don't know, some witch made it up.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Yeah, it feels like maybe some sort of bad someone
- 20:40Speaker 3: decided at some point that's bad life actually.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Or maybe just like a tarot store that was like
- 20:46Speaker 2: you should come in and just buy a bunch of decks, fhear, friends,
- 20:49Speaker 2: because that's the rule. So I feel like every house
- 20:53Speaker 2: should have a tarot deck and it should be gifted.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I think that's nice.
- 20:57Speaker 2: And I saw that and I thought it was really beautiful,
- 21:00Speaker 2: and I was like, because I've known you.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Four years a decade at this, pat, Yeah.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Our parents are each other's parents, and our friends are
- 21:07Speaker 2: each other's friends.
- 21:08Speaker 3: And right, our parents are each other's parents. Everyone knows that.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Everyone knows that whatever that means.
- 21:13Speaker 3: We know exactly what that means. Of course, I don't
- 21:15Speaker 3: even need to think about.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you're you're my bridger and I'm your right.
- 21:20Speaker 2: I mean, we've just been doing this for so long.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Very close, very close, and you've given me so many
- 21:25Speaker 3: things over the years.
- 21:25Speaker 2: I have side of what's your favorite thing I've given you?
- 21:29Speaker 3: Well, it was the bike.
- 21:31Speaker 2: The bike.
- 21:32Speaker 3: You remember the bike?
- 21:33Speaker 2: The bike, Yes, the baby blue bike.
- 21:36Speaker 3: It's in the parking lot right now.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Oh you're still using.
- 21:39Speaker 3: I wrote it to Burbank from where Highland Park. And
- 21:43Speaker 3: that is a ride, right And look, not a drop
- 21:46Speaker 3: of sweat on.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Me, not a drop because it's glides.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Because it glides, and I've been riding it for years.
- 21:51Speaker 3: So you know, I'm glad.
- 21:52Speaker 2: I'm so glad. That makes me. I'm so glad.
- 21:55Speaker 3: I know you're a good gift giver. I have wondered
- 21:58Speaker 3: when will you bring erotic element into gifting?
- 22:02Speaker 2: Should you pull a card? Of course? Okay, let's see here.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Do are you familiar with what each card means?
- 22:12Speaker 2: Sort of? But also, my house guest did like an
- 22:15Speaker 2: hour long taro reading on me last night.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Wow.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of just like something is energetically happening
- 22:21Speaker 2: within me right now. But I think in there is
- 22:24Speaker 2: probably a little booklet that'll help us along, that'll help
- 22:28Speaker 2: us along I want.
- 22:29Speaker 3: To read the back it says, be guided by your desire. Okay,
- 22:32Speaker 3: way ahead of you. Deepen your personal Tarot journey with

- 22:46Speaker 3: you explore intimate possibilities unlock your erotic potential. I'm finally
- 22:51Speaker 3: ready to unlock my erotic potential.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Yeah. I just think it's so you. It really is
- 22:57Speaker 2: so you.
- 22:58Speaker 3: You know, of course, of course, Okay, let's oh, I
- 23:02Speaker 3: like how that sounds.
- 23:03Speaker 2: It's nice. It's like an Apple box.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like a.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Box that you would get from the Apple store.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Not an apple designed in Coopertino. Ye.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah right, this could.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Be an Apple product. Okay, look at how sixy? Wow
- 23:17Speaker 3: that's a very sixy? What is this going to lead to?
- 23:20Speaker 2: This? H The podcast is getting steamy? Should I Should
- 23:24Speaker 2: I shuffle the cards? Yeah?
- 23:25Speaker 3: Shuffle? Let's see, Yeah, because I'm gonna pull it for you.
- 23:29Speaker 3: So you need to shuffle it.
- 23:30Speaker 2: You need You're going to be for you?
- 23:32Speaker 3: Oh okay, so you so I should shuffle right? So
- 23:35Speaker 3: I can imbue it with my energy.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it feels right.
- 23:39Speaker 3: I don't know why I'm telling you.
- 23:40Speaker 2: That's no. I'm going to pull for you. You shuffle
- 23:43Speaker 2: and I'm going to pull for you. Those are the rules.
- 23:45Speaker 3: And I mean, I think what the trouble I'm having
- 23:48Speaker 3: right now is when the person pulls for so you
- 23:52Speaker 3: pull for me, that means the card will be about me.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Huh.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Okay, so I need to touch the cards right now
- 23:57Speaker 3: and then when I pull for you.
- 23:58Speaker 2: But i'm the interpreter.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Right when it's your turn to get your taro red,
- 24:03Speaker 3: you'll you will touch the car, sure, and then I
- 24:05Speaker 3: will pull for you.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Or we can also just do whatever the fun we want.
- 24:08Speaker 3: No, no, this is serious. This is erotic.
- 24:12Speaker 2: This is serious. This is erotic.
- 24:15Speaker 3: This is going to lead to me unlocking my potential.
- 24:19Speaker 3: And I'm not going to screw around. Okay, I did
- 24:23Speaker 3: a I can't shove a car. I'm no dealer. Okay,
- 24:28Speaker 3: so there we go. And okay, so.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Now so now you pull. Okay, so now energetically pick
- 24:35Speaker 2: a card. Okay, here we go.
- 24:37Speaker 3: So now I flipped you flip it. We're so mad
- 24:40Speaker 3: about this.
- 24:41Speaker 2: So this is the three of candles. Okay, that's erotic. Okay,
- 24:48Speaker 2: what is the three of candles?
- 24:49Speaker 3: Okay? Look at that? Let me see that car.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Look look at this card. Okay, three of candles.
- 24:54Speaker 3: I will say, it's a you know, it's like a
- 24:56Speaker 3: red candelabra with some pink melting candles of candles. I
- 25:01Speaker 3: don't think I've ever seen a three of candles in
- 25:03Speaker 3: another deck. So are they like?
- 25:04Speaker 2: These are kind of like each deck is sort of
- 25:07Speaker 2: like it's jelly beans beans and the four of gumdocs.
- 25:13Speaker 2: You know, they're kind of I think candles is maybe
- 25:15Speaker 2: swords swords, right, yeah, okay, three of candles Okay, so
- 25:20Speaker 2: the candles which is actually supposed to be wands in
- 25:23Speaker 2: a classic terrale.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Oh okay.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Spontaneity okay, fast action, fast action, that's erotic.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Passion, passion, okay, power power.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Oh, adrenaline, oh life force, creative fuel and urges inspired work,
- 25:43Speaker 2: stroke of genius. And this is the three of candles.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Stay determined to remain adventurous. Take your ideas for a walk.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Take your ideas for a walk, seek outside influences. A
- 26:01Speaker 2: third component may further ignite.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Oh in right, go on a walk and find a third.
- 26:10Speaker 2: And then there's a little a subcomment. Don't be nonchalant
- 26:14Speaker 2: about any collaborations proposed to you. Make sure all parties
- 26:20Speaker 2: are comfortable going forward. What am I.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Supposed to do with that information? And also what does
- 26:29Speaker 3: that leave for the rest of the cards? I feel
- 26:31Speaker 3: like it covered every corner of the erotic world.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Right, it's more erotic than that, right?
- 26:37Speaker 3: Okay, Well, let's have you imbue the cards with your energy.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Pull for you or you pull for again. My apologies
- 26:44Speaker 3: to the new age community. Crystal shop owners are mad,
- 26:50Speaker 3: but you know.
- 26:51Speaker 2: This is really impossible to shuffle.
- 26:52Speaker 3: They're very difficult. Anytime I have to I'm in charge
- 26:56Speaker 3: of shuffling cards, I embarrass myself.
- 26:58Speaker 2: I feel again, this is awful math class. Yeah, I
- 27:02Speaker 2: was bad at math in school. I was diagnosed with ADHD.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Did they make you do cards?
- 27:07Speaker 2: No, they just gave me like extensive testing and then
- 27:09Speaker 2: started talking to me like I couldn't hear. So that
- 27:13Speaker 2: was my high school experience. Caitlin, are you doing okay?
- 27:17Speaker 2: This is the lesson making sense to you? Yep. I'm
- 27:21Speaker 2: sexually active and I smoke clothes cigarettes. I'm doing good anyway,
- 27:26Speaker 2: Just me trauma dumping on you.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I had give it and then you
- 27:34Speaker 3: I think I'm supposed to be like bop bop bop.
- 27:37Speaker 3: But let's we have to, you know, eye for an eye,
- 27:40Speaker 3: so you just pull one. We've got to have kind
- 27:42Speaker 3: of a one for one situation.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Okay, mine is the chariot.
- 27:45Speaker 3: The chariot, and look at describe what's happening on that
- 27:48Speaker 3: chariot card.
- 27:49Speaker 2: This card, it looks like it looks like a gay
- 27:54Speaker 2: Pride parade.
- 27:55Speaker 3: It looks like gay Mad Max.
- 27:56Speaker 2: It looks like gay Mad Max is exactly what it
- 27:59Speaker 2: looks like.
- 28:00Speaker 3: They're like, there's a car. There's a biker gang.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Yeah, the way to Long Beach.
- 28:05Speaker 3: They're obvious, they're headed south and there are four people
- 28:08Speaker 3: in a car, three who are standing.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Yeah, which is really unsafe, right, And I'm not about
- 28:14Speaker 2: like non safety on the road. No, No, I don't
- 28:17Speaker 2: like that. Seat belts, seatbelts please.
- 28:19Speaker 3: We went through a large period of human history where
- 28:21Speaker 3: a seatbelt was optional, which is interesting.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Yes, like like, yeah, what was it that the seventies live?
- 28:27Speaker 2: I'm so young? What was the seventies?
- 28:30Speaker 3: Like, you're afraid people are going to think you were
- 28:34Speaker 3: born in nineteen forty.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I'm online a lot and people people think
- 28:40Speaker 2: I'm like someone's grandmother.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Who is this lady? She eighty years old?
- 28:44Speaker 2: What are you still doing on TikTok? Let me read.
- 28:49Speaker 3: I'm trying to think for you.
- 28:50Speaker 2: What is it the chariot? Let me try and find
- 28:53Speaker 2: it for you. I think it's I think it's at
- 28:56Speaker 2: the front.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Okay, the Empress, the emperor, Okay, let's see the fool.
- 29:02Speaker 2: I feel like you don't like my gift.
- 29:03Speaker 3: I love this, Actually, what do you like about it?
- 29:06Speaker 3: I mean, I love how sexy it is. I love
- 29:09Speaker 3: how steamy it is. I love that it's just kind
- 29:12Speaker 3: of bringing a new heat.
- 29:13Speaker 2: To the park, front, to the front. I went all
- 29:17Speaker 2: the way to the.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Front the chariots chery.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 29:21Speaker 3: This says your keywords are will to succeed. This is
- 29:24Speaker 3: a less success or less sexy thing already. Confidence.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Vehicles. I love the way you say vehicles vestibules.
- 29:36Speaker 3: How would you say vehicle vestible?
- 29:41Speaker 2: A moving entity? Vehicle, vehicle.
- 29:47Speaker 3: The hicless the hicless graduation, adolescent cockiness what okay? Landing
- 29:54Speaker 3: on one's feet upstarts and startups. That feels like a CBS.
- 30:00Speaker 2: I kind of feel like this was written by.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Ai Fame probably was Let's fame in the Yes, we
- 30:08Speaker 3: like this for you and championing which you didn't do
- 30:12Speaker 3: for your Russian French.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Her career is falling apart.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Oh, right, image, it's somebody's first pride parade. Rainbows around ah,
- 30:24Speaker 3: my first pride parade.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 30:25Speaker 3: This is the feeling of triumph when you set yourself
- 30:27Speaker 3: a goal and achieved it for all to see. This
- 30:30Speaker 3: is a glorious moment of exhilaration onlookers acknowledge and admire you.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Bravery and determination have paid off. Though this is only
- 30:39Speaker 3: the first step in a longer journey, so now you
- 30:42Speaker 3: need some advice. This is often a card to first experiences.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Make up your mind to do something and then carry
- 30:48Speaker 3: it out, despite uncertainty and unsteadiness in the early stages.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Don't dwell on the details. Keep your courage up and
- 30:55Speaker 3: you will win. Take care. You won't get what you
- 30:59Speaker 3: want unless you make it decisive effort. Enjoy your victory
- 31:02Speaker 3: for a while, but then you'll need a fresh angle.
- 31:05Speaker 3: You can't stick to the same approach. This is all
- 31:07Speaker 3: over the place. Consider sharing a need to overcome internal conflicts.
- 31:12Speaker 3: The whiplash of what you're supposed to be doing.
- 31:15Speaker 2: What is happening? I don't even know what this means?
- 31:18Speaker 2: What does this mean?
- 31:20Speaker 3: I'm getting motion sickness.
- 31:22Speaker 2: I hate this card.
- 31:24Speaker 3: The only thing that works here is fame.
- 31:26Speaker 2: So all I heard was fame.
- 31:28Speaker 3: You got stars in your eyes.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Fame and that people admire me. And then also to what.
- 31:36Speaker 3: To do a bunch of it's going to require work
- 31:39Speaker 3: that doesn't happen, and I don't know that that's going
- 31:41Speaker 3: to be precise. No, you strike me as a very
- 31:43Speaker 3: lazy person. There's zero sex in this God, you're at
- 31:48Speaker 3: your first Pride parade. You're the dork.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Maybe it's telling me that I'm going to be in
- 31:54Speaker 2: La Pride Parade this year.
- 31:55Speaker 3: So interesting on a float?
- 31:57Speaker 2: I would love fame, fame. Interesting. Have you been to
- 32:00Speaker 2: a Pride parade before? Never?
- 32:02Speaker 3: Okay, so this.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Is actually protest. No, I've been too many. You've driven
- 32:09Speaker 2: by home. I'm an ally Bridger, Bridger, Bridger, you're an ally.
- 32:17Speaker 3: You're an ally? Yeah, I you know the moment I
- 32:20Speaker 3: met you through my parents years and years ago, when
- 32:24Speaker 3: my parents introduced me to your parents, they said, our daughter,
- 32:28Speaker 3: you got to meet the scale she's an ally. She
- 32:31Speaker 3: wasn't before it was bad.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I was sort of an I was sort of like,
- 32:35Speaker 2: you know, playing pretend to my dollhouse, and like I
- 32:37Speaker 2: didn't want to be a doctor. I didn't want to
- 32:39Speaker 2: be a marine biologist. I didn't want to be an actress.
- 32:41Speaker 2: I wanted to be an ally. Right, That's what I
- 32:43Speaker 2: That's what I was pretending to be. You were pretending, Yeah,
- 32:46Speaker 2: what do you want to be? When you grew up
- 32:48Speaker 2: an ally? Right?
- 32:49Speaker 3: So then you went mask off and you were not
- 32:51Speaker 3: an ally for that. You know, those five years or so.
- 32:54Speaker 2: That was a dark time.
- 32:55Speaker 3: That was a dark time. But we're glad to have
- 32:57Speaker 3: you back on our team.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 33:00Speaker 3: And now you're meeting Connor story at events. I know
- 33:03Speaker 3: you're kind of and you're gonna be on a float.
- 33:05Speaker 3: I'm gonna be on a float, probably of your own design.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Yeah, could you just show up?
- 33:09Speaker 3: You could probably just design a float and show up
- 33:11Speaker 3: at a parade.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Yeah. I kind of feel like, hey, guys, I've been
- 33:14Speaker 2: working on this for a while. It's made of flowers,
- 33:20Speaker 2: and can I just roll through?
- 33:22Speaker 3: Right?
- 33:23Speaker 2: I feel like it is a really intricate process though, But.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Yeah, and if you do all the work for that,
- 33:27Speaker 3: and you show up and they don't let you get
- 33:28Speaker 3: in the parade. What are we doing? Yeah?
- 33:30Speaker 2: What are parade's for? I also kind of I have
- 33:35Speaker 2: a sneaking suspicion that float people are really.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Obnoxious, really normal.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Yeah, like, oh, what does your cousin do? She builds floats,
- 33:42Speaker 2: she wants stop fucking talking about it.
- 33:43Speaker 3: How do you get into the float biz?
- 33:46Speaker 2: How do you get into the float bit?
- 33:47Speaker 3: How do you break in?
- 33:48Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 33:50Speaker 3: You probably get big on TikTok.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Yeah, big on TikTok. You get like viral for like
- 33:54Speaker 2: your cat or something. Then all of a sudden you're
- 33:56Speaker 2: sort of like parlayed into the float to the float,
- 34:00Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden you're like, you know,
- 34:01Speaker 2: at the red carpet at the vanity for Oscar party,
- 34:03Speaker 2: asking you know, people questions just because that question that
- 34:08Speaker 2: is the pipeline.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Smart questions, incisive questions.
- 34:12Speaker 2: I was a float influencer and now I'm at the.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Met Yeah, it's the natural paths the natural. That's journalism,
- 34:21Speaker 3: that's journalism, that's journalism, that's integrity. Yeah, what sort of
- 34:29Speaker 3: tarot cards do you have at home?
- 34:30Speaker 2: I have a couple. I have one that's like a
- 34:33Speaker 2: little pocket tarot book called The Wild Unknown. Oh, I
- 34:38Speaker 2: like that where it's like really cool pictures. And then
- 34:42Speaker 2: I was given another tarot deck that I think is Russian.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Oh okay, so you brought a Russian theme and.
- 34:49Speaker 2: That was Those were both gifted to me.
- 34:53Speaker 3: You've never purchased I purchased this one for yourself.
- 34:58Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 35:00Speaker 3: No, you're a real natural teraro y person.
- 35:03Speaker 2: I just like I like witchy stuff sometimes. You know,
- 35:07Speaker 2: that's because because I don't have a good foundation, that's.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Why you're kind of out of control.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm a little emotionally out of control, So I
- 35:14Speaker 2: like terot cards.
- 35:15Speaker 3: I would describe you first as lost.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I'm a little lost. I have my astrological sig tattooed
- 35:20Speaker 2: on my wrist that I'm currently in the process of
- 35:22Speaker 2: trying to get rid of.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Is that true?
- 35:23Speaker 2: Yeah? Can I see it? Yeah? So it's speckily because
- 35:30Speaker 2: I actually started the process of getting it removed at
- 35:32Speaker 2: Laser Away, but I had a very unfortunate experience there,
- 35:35Speaker 2: so I didn't I didn't finish the process.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Well, this is an unfortunate experience at Laser Way it's.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Just a laser away.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Is that what it's called. Yes, it sounds like a
- 35:48Speaker 3: spinoff of massage envy or something.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yes, yes, God I miss massage envy. But no. I
- 35:55Speaker 2: went in and there's kind of like they call you
- 35:58Speaker 2: like hey, babe or haym like came on, my things
- 36:01Speaker 2: are coming in, and I just like call me, ma'am.
- 36:03Speaker 3: This is a medical proceedure.
- 36:04Speaker 2: This is a medical procedure. Call me by my full
- 36:08Speaker 2: government name.
- 36:09Speaker 3: We're not on bean bags, right, And.
- 36:12Speaker 2: I went in one of the rooms and I'm sitting
- 36:14Speaker 2: there and the practitioner that walked in, uh, at one
- 36:20Speaker 2: point like dropped the machine, was like, oh sorry, I'm
- 36:23Speaker 2: just like all over the place today, and then dropped
- 36:26Speaker 2: the glasses on the ground that she was supposed to
- 36:28Speaker 2: put on my face. And then I think I was
- 36:32Speaker 2: trying to be like kind and charming. So I was like,
- 36:34Speaker 2: oh god, it's my first time a little I'm a
- 36:36Speaker 2: little nervous. You know, I've also told this story in
- 36:39Speaker 2: another podcast.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Okay, well we'll get those removed, okay.
- 36:43Speaker 2: But so she was about to take a laser to
- 36:47Speaker 2: my skin, right, it is a it is a procedure.
- 36:52Speaker 2: So she was about to take the laser to my skin,
- 36:54Speaker 2: but instead she grabs my arm, shakes it and goes
- 37:04Speaker 2: So then I also started screaming. I look at her,
- 37:07Speaker 2: I go, what what? She cocks her head back, starts
- 37:10Speaker 2: laughing hysterically and goes, I'm just fucking with you, girl.
- 37:15Speaker 2: And like I partly appreciated the gumption, like I was like, yes, yes, right,
- 37:22Speaker 2: like you're my kind of girl. But then the other
- 37:25Speaker 2: half of me is like this is not good at all.
- 37:29Speaker 2: And then she did it and she was like, ah fuck,
- 37:33Speaker 2: I feel like it didn't do a lot. Like I
- 37:36Speaker 2: just felt it was just not.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Like in this moment, you're like, I'm sorry, this isn't
- 37:41Speaker 3: working for me.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Yeah, And then so then I left and then I
- 37:44Speaker 2: had another I had another appointment like six weeks later.
- 37:46Speaker 2: So I went to that other appointment, same thing. It
- 37:48Speaker 2: was just like kind of chaos. The machine wasn't working,
- 37:51Speaker 2: and the girl that was doing me, she's like, I mean,
- 37:53Speaker 2: do you want to use this machine? And I was like,
- 37:55Speaker 2: you tell the other what's going on. So then I
- 37:59Speaker 2: got so it's really expensive, and I got mad and
- 38:01Speaker 2: then I complained. So then Laser Away Customer Service called
- 38:05Speaker 2: me to sort of talk about the incident, and I
- 38:08Speaker 2: was like, listen, I know that these girls are working
- 38:10Speaker 2: really here like I, but it was just it was
- 38:13Speaker 2: not good. I was like, also, the room was like
- 38:16Speaker 2: really dirty and wasn't prepped for a patient. The customer
- 38:20Speaker 2: service person I'm talking to you goes dirty? What do
- 38:22Speaker 2: you mean dirty? Do you have pictures giving me attitude
- 38:25Speaker 2: like I'm in a sorority? It was so weird. And
- 38:29Speaker 2: then I posted it on Instagram and then they finally
- 38:32Speaker 2: refunded me because I.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Posted on it. Right, you eventually kind of have to
- 38:35Speaker 3: blackmail them.
- 38:36Speaker 2: I blackmailed them on Instagram where I was like I
- 38:38Speaker 2: had such a bad experience there, and then they finally you.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Can't privately complain anymore. Private complaints do very little.
- 38:46Speaker 2: And I have to say I do love complaining when
- 38:49Speaker 2: it's warranted, of course, yeah, I really do love it.
- 38:52Speaker 3: Well, it improves whatever the problem is. Eventually somebody is
- 38:56Speaker 3: told yeah, and then you might get a free coupon.
- 38:59Speaker 3: And I love a free I love complaining in coupon.
- 39:01Speaker 3: So what a perfect combination. So what was the end
- 39:05Speaker 3: result that you got your money back?
- 39:06Speaker 2: I got my full money back, and they were like,
- 39:09Speaker 2: let's let's start over. And I was like, you're never
- 39:11Speaker 2: touching me again, like.
- 39:12Speaker 3: It's a marriage.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Yeah, like someone else. It was just so weird because
- 39:16Speaker 2: it was like, no, I think that this is just
- 39:17Speaker 2: like a poorly run business and you're hiring a bunch
- 39:22Speaker 2: of people that you're you're not training, so it's like
- 39:24Speaker 2: kind of not their fault, it's like management's fault whatever.
- 39:27Speaker 2: I don't know anything about anything.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Is there another laser place you can turn to?
- 39:30Speaker 2: I don't know. And so I have this specky, stupid tattoo.
- 39:36Speaker 3: When did you get it?
- 39:37Speaker 2: I got it when I was twenty three after a
- 39:39Speaker 2: really bad breakup. Oh sure, I had cut my hair.
- 39:42Speaker 2: I started I started bleaching it like white. Okay. I
- 39:46Speaker 2: I was wearing a cutoff.
- 39:48Speaker 3: T shirts very run, Lola Run.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Yes, I was wearing cutoff T shirts like all my
- 39:52Speaker 2: T shirts didn't have sleeves because that was sort of
- 39:55Speaker 2: like the indie luck. In twenty thirteen, I was going
- 39:57Speaker 2: to Harvard and Stone every night. Okay, I was doing improv.
- 40:02Speaker 2: That's when I started doing improv. And I was like,
- 40:05Speaker 2: I'm going to spend time in your life. Yeah, And
- 40:07Speaker 2: I was like I'm going to drive out to duarte
- 40:10Speaker 2: and I'm going to get a tattoo, and that's exactly
- 40:12Speaker 2: what I did.
- 40:14Speaker 3: I think it's so inoffensive. I feel like, what just
- 40:17Speaker 3: keep it well.
- 40:18Speaker 2: Some people think that it's the word me. Oh interesting,
- 40:21Speaker 2: and then some people think that it's like a Christian
- 40:24Speaker 2: emblem the right yeah, and then some people think it's
- 40:29Speaker 2: another astrological sign that it isn't. So like, no one
- 40:32Speaker 2: really knows what the fuck this is.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Which sign is it? It's Virgo.
- 40:36Speaker 2: It looks exactly like Scorpio, except a little different.
- 40:39Speaker 3: I wonder if you I wouldn't have known that was
- 40:41Speaker 3: an astrological sign. I wonder what my guests would have been.
- 40:44Speaker 3: I think I would have been like, it's MP. Yeah.
- 40:47Speaker 2: I've been like, what are the who is MP? To you? Also,
- 40:50Speaker 2: this was supposed to be a matching best friend tattoo
- 40:53Speaker 2: with my best friend, and so I got the tattoo
- 40:56Speaker 2: first and it was three times bigger than i'd ask
- 40:59Speaker 2: And so she's watching it happened. She's like, wow, that's
- 41:01Speaker 2: really big, and then she got it done in a
- 41:04Speaker 2: different place right here. Oh it looks like a mole.
- 41:07Speaker 2: So I got kind of dupped.
- 41:10Speaker 3: I would rather have a tattoo than a weird mole
- 41:13Speaker 3: on my finger.
- 41:14Speaker 2: I'd rather have a weird mole on my fing You'd.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Rather have a that's what you think. But then you're
- 41:18Speaker 3: prepping food and people are like, uh, you should have gloves.
- 41:21Speaker 2: I mean, what kind of mole are we talking about?
- 41:23Speaker 3: I mean it seems like if I can spot a
- 41:25Speaker 3: mole on a finger, that's a big mole.
- 41:27Speaker 2: I have moles on my fingers. No, you don't. People
- 41:31Speaker 2: rarely have If I do, you know, it's weird I have.
- 41:35Speaker 2: I had a mole on my finger that actually disappeared.
- 41:39Speaker 3: Did you ever have warts on your hands? Oh?
- 41:41Speaker 2: My god, I was a wart kid.
- 41:43Speaker 3: You were, I, thank god? And knock on wood. I wasn't,
- 41:45Speaker 3: but that seemed like a tough thing to have.
- 41:48Speaker 2: I got warts on my thumbs all the time, and
- 41:51Speaker 2: I got warts on my toes all the time.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Wo how does that happen?
- 41:57Speaker 2: Just you know? I would I was a barefoot kid.
- 41:59Speaker 2: I would like be in the backyard a lot. I
- 42:01Speaker 2: loved feeling like I was a fairy, so like movies
- 42:05Speaker 2: like The Secret Garden or like The Little Princess, Like
- 42:07Speaker 2: I'm just sort of like in the wild, And I
- 42:11Speaker 2: would have to go to my mom's dermatologist and they
- 42:14Speaker 2: would have to freeze the warts off, and I used
- 42:17Speaker 2: to get the same wart on my thumb and ah god,
- 42:20Speaker 2: it was so painful. It was like a huge part
- 42:23Speaker 2: of my childhood. That and the fact that I had
- 42:25Speaker 2: to wear a patch for my lazy eye.
- 42:27Speaker 3: Oh interesting. Yeah, so that the patch is cool.
- 42:35Speaker 2: It wasn't cool. It wasn't cool.
- 42:37Speaker 3: I'm trying to support you.
- 42:39Speaker 2: It wasn't cool. It was They're like, wow, her eyes
- 42:42Speaker 2: are fucked up. So I wear a patch.
- 42:45Speaker 3: I think a patch when it's like the kind of
- 42:49Speaker 3: beige color not a good book.
- 42:50Speaker 2: It was flesh color.
- 42:52Speaker 3: It gotta go with a black one. The black eye
- 42:55Speaker 3: patch is cool and dangerous. All the other ones are
- 42:58Speaker 3: I'm embarrassed of my eye patch. No, embrace it.
- 43:01Speaker 2: That's true. That's a good point.
- 43:03Speaker 3: It's got a long history with pirates, et cetera. It
- 43:06Speaker 3: looks like kind of spooky and edgy.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:09Speaker 3: The other thing is, don't look at me, right, and
- 43:11Speaker 3: then we're all looking at you.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Yeah. I do think it's a lot sexier now, right.
- 43:16Speaker 2: I think that we've sexified the I finally, finally, which
- 43:21Speaker 2: is good and good for us, right, thanks, I mean
- 43:23Speaker 2: for you and I personally, I think next it'll be
- 43:25Speaker 2: the peg leg.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Oh that could be sexy. Yeah, but I mean I
- 43:29Speaker 3: feel like all of those things. Are you embrace rather
- 43:31Speaker 3: than run?
- 43:32Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, yeah, embrace ale things.
- 43:34Speaker 3: So you have wars, So you have a long history
- 43:36Speaker 3: with things being burned off your body.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Yes, yes, interesting. I recently got something burned off my nose.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Not a wart, it was a popule.
- 43:45Speaker 3: Oh mm hmm. What's the difference between that and a zi.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Well, so a popule is like a really hard nodule
- 43:51Speaker 2: on your skin that looks exactly like basil cell carcinoma. Oh,
- 43:55Speaker 2: and so so it could be dangerous. It could be dangerous.
- 43:58Speaker 2: I was on TikTok at two o'clock in the morning
- 43:59Speaker 2: and I saw I was like, oh, that's that thing
- 44:01Speaker 2: on my nose. And this person was like, I had extensive,
- 44:04Speaker 2: messed up skin cancer on my face. And so I
- 44:06Speaker 2: started crying and I woke up my husband and I
- 44:08Speaker 2: was like, I have skin cancer. He was like what.
- 44:14Speaker 2: So I went to my dermatologist that burned off my
- 44:16Speaker 2: words when I was a kid. You're still going to
- 44:18Speaker 2: the same person, same one.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Wow. I like a lifelong doctor.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, And I went in there and it's tizzy.
- 44:27Speaker 2: I was like, I have skin cancer, right? She told
- 44:30Speaker 2: me it was a papule. She burns it off.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Are you not going in for a yearly checkup? No?
- 44:34Speaker 2: Because I'm not good at that. But now I'm an adult,
- 44:37Speaker 2: and now I am.
- 44:38Speaker 3: You gotta do it.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Yeah, So now I have a dentist.
- 44:40Speaker 3: Now, okay, you've got a dentist. That's a hart. I
- 44:42Speaker 3: just got two all caps texts for my dentist. I'm
- 44:46Speaker 3: quite sure what's going on.
- 44:47Speaker 2: What did they say?
- 44:48Speaker 3: The first was the office is sick. We have to
- 44:51Speaker 3: cancel your appointment.
- 44:52Speaker 2: The office is in all all. The office is sick.
- 44:56Speaker 2: We have to cancel your appointment. Where is this dentist?
- 44:59Speaker 3: I don't want to to name the person, but why
- 45:02Speaker 3: do you have so much? Oh my god, I'm not
- 45:07Speaker 3: sure it's something I heard a witch dentist in the past.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Well wait, who is that?
- 45:13Speaker 3: That's Alice Ellis is upset that I have a lot
- 45:15Speaker 3: of dentists from. And I will say, in my defense,
- 45:18Speaker 3: I love this dentist. They're in Glendale.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Ellis. I'm so sorry. I got so scared by your
- 45:23Speaker 2: voice that was really scary. That was on me. You
- 45:26Speaker 2: guys are trying to breeze. You're trying to breeze past that.
- 45:29Speaker 3: I've never protect my dentist.
- 45:31Speaker 2: No, no, no, Ellis, that was really scary.
- 45:33Speaker 3: I pushed my protect the dentist button and that tells Ellis.
- 45:36Speaker 2: But in Ellis times in Okay.
- 45:39Speaker 3: No, they're in Glendale, and I love I love this
- 45:42Speaker 3: group of people.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Something well.
- 45:45Speaker 3: I think Glendale is wonderful.
- 45:47Speaker 2: I lived in Glendale for three years. It was three
- 45:49Speaker 2: years of what.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Was so rough about it?
- 45:50Speaker 2: Everything?
- 45:53Speaker 3: I like Glendale. I like the Americana. I love the Galleria.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Oh, for fuck's sake, I prefer the Gallery. I prefer
- 46:02Speaker 2: anything outside of Glendale, the Americana.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Really, that AMC is the only movie theater I'll go
- 46:09Speaker 3: to at this point.
- 46:10Speaker 2: The only AMC I'll go to is the one at
- 46:13Speaker 2: the God, the Lamely the what's it called. Oh it's
- 46:17Speaker 2: off of Sunset. Oh oh no, no, no, it's not even
- 46:21Speaker 2: it's not an AMC. It's a Landmark. Yeah, it's off
- 46:27Speaker 2: of Sunset. It's worth it's where Crunch used to be.
- 46:30Speaker 3: It's like the Bermuda Triangles.
- 46:31Speaker 2: I know, but they have a Landmark Theater there that
- 46:34Speaker 2: is top drawer.
- 46:35Speaker 3: It's very nice. But it's like the park. Oh my god,
- 46:38Speaker 3: I wouldn't.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Even dare there's a CB two right there?
- 46:41Speaker 3: Is it free parking?
- 46:42Speaker 2: I mean, is anywhere free parking?
- 46:44Speaker 3: The galleria and then you walk to the America, Yeah.
- 46:47Speaker 2: They need people. There is there a Brookstone still in
- 46:52Speaker 2: the galleria? That's a good question.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Probably them all is large and mysterious. They've got three floors,
- 46:58Speaker 3: they've got a they've got a kinds of nooks and
- 47:00Speaker 3: cran probably.
- 47:01Speaker 2: I bet they have like a brick and mortar dippin' dots.
- 47:06Speaker 3: They have a lot of rotating dessert shops. Yeah, your
- 47:09Speaker 3: dessert shops and malls. I'm always like, okay, just close
- 47:12Speaker 3: it down, just get ahead of yourself.
- 47:14Speaker 2: No one's dessert person.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I love desserts, but in the mall, when it's like
- 47:18Speaker 3: waffles with chocolate syrup on them, I'm like, this isn'to
- 47:20Speaker 3: mall food. No one's eating this on one of those
- 47:22Speaker 3: weird mall couches.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Right, I love a mall couch.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Oh do you ever eat on them?
- 47:28Speaker 2: I'm sure I have. I always think, like I always
- 47:32Speaker 2: think when I look at a mall couch and I
- 47:35Speaker 2: look at like the furniture within an enclosed mall. Where
- 47:40Speaker 2: is that store? Right? Like, are they like do malls
- 47:43Speaker 2: talk to each other and they just have a warehouse
- 47:45Speaker 2: the mall furniture or are they buying it from Is
- 47:48Speaker 2: there a mall furniture store or is it like here's
- 47:52Speaker 2: the mall now we have all the furniture for the mall,
- 47:55Speaker 2: which comes from the same guys that built the mall.
- 47:58Speaker 3: Like, what's this from the guys brought you mall?
- 48:01Speaker 2: Here's mall sofa?
- 48:03Speaker 3: Do you know what a twisted mind of.
- 48:05Speaker 2: Yes, from the twisted mind of Beverly Center. We have
- 48:08Speaker 2: sort of couch.
- 48:11Speaker 3: I think they have well, I'm kind of picturing right
- 48:14Speaker 3: now playing the SIMS and you just click buttons and
- 48:15Speaker 3: then you're kind of rotating the couch around in the mall.
- 48:19Speaker 3: Mall tycoon.
- 48:20Speaker 2: I love this, of course, Wait, they should do mal tycoon.
- 48:23Speaker 3: I think there was a malt tycoon and I think
- 48:24Speaker 3: it sucked.
- 48:25Speaker 2: Oh okay, did you ever do roller coaster tycoon? Who
- 48:28Speaker 2: do you think you're talking? Of course? Did you did SIMS?
- 48:31Speaker 3: You were like I did SIMS and roller roller coaster tycoon?
- 48:34Speaker 2: And you hid your sims have sex a lot, of course, okay,
- 48:37Speaker 2: of course called was it called woohoo?
- 48:41Speaker 3: Wo Yeah, they're getting under the covers and kind of
- 48:47Speaker 3: then they're just kind of two things, kind of maneuvering
- 48:50Speaker 3: around underneath.
- 48:51Speaker 2: The sheep that you're here. Wos not big not big
- 48:55Speaker 2: golda and it's woohoo.
- 48:57Speaker 3: And then we're how does the baby arrive? Does a
- 48:59Speaker 3: stork bring it?
- 49:00Speaker 2: I think that.
- 49:02Speaker 3: You open the toilet.
- 49:03Speaker 2: I don't think the sim was pregnant for him. I
- 49:06Speaker 2: think the sim is pregnant now. Now it's like very intricate.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Yeah, they're really getting into the realistic aspect. Yeah, and
- 49:11Speaker 3: I've kind of had to distance myself.
- 49:13Speaker 2: I know it's a little stressful. I'm trying to build
- 49:16Speaker 2: my house exactly, but it's like really like you need
- 49:18Speaker 2: to be an architect, like you need to do math,
- 49:21Speaker 2: and I don't know what's going on.
- 49:22Speaker 3: And they don't have your wallpaper, right, so forget it.
- 49:26Speaker 2: I don't have any wallpaper. You don't have that wallpaper.
- 49:28Speaker 2: I need to renovate parts in my house.
- 49:30Speaker 3: Okay, it's wallpaper on its way out.
- 49:33Speaker 2: No, I think that a powder room slash guest math
- 49:37Speaker 2: should be wallpapered.
- 49:38Speaker 3: I think we're probably at peak wallpaper though, right. Don't
- 49:41Speaker 3: you feel like we're like headed back towards no wallpaper?
- 49:45Speaker 2: No, because I hate what millennials have done to interior design.
- 49:49Speaker 2: I think I think it's the worst thing we've done
- 49:51Speaker 2: to society.
- 49:52Speaker 3: Well, hate it or not. Trends come and go.
- 49:55Speaker 2: But I do think wallpaper stays. You think I do, But.
- 49:59Speaker 3: There was don't you remember the period when people thought,
- 50:02Speaker 3: get rid of all paper, get rid of carpet, And
- 50:04Speaker 3: we're kind of still away from carpet.
- 50:06Speaker 2: I okay, so I ripped up the carpet in my
- 50:08Speaker 2: house because it was I mean, you can't do carpet,
- 50:11Speaker 2: but I will say I do kind of love a
- 50:13Speaker 2: carpeted bedroom.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Oh it feels amazing on your feet. Yeah, but it's
- 50:17Speaker 3: just how do you get one that looks good?
- 50:19Speaker 2: You get you need to go flashy, You need to
- 50:22Speaker 2: get like a dark fun like. You need to make
- 50:24Speaker 2: it a vibe. Right.
- 50:25Speaker 3: You can't like an eye patch situation. You want it
- 50:30Speaker 3: to shine run.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Away the dazzled eye patch, not flesh colored.
- 50:34Speaker 3: Yeah. A beige carpet is like, you can't do.
- 50:36Speaker 2: A beige carpet, right, yeah, but.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Then I'm I can't. I cannot picture a good looking carpet.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Yeah you can, Yeah, you can go on Nordic Knots
- 50:47Speaker 2: dot com Nordic No, yeah they have really. I just well,
- 50:51Speaker 2: I just bought a rug from Nordic Knots because I
- 50:53Speaker 2: was freaking out about the rug I was going to buy.
- 50:56Speaker 2: I ended up buying another rug. So now I have
- 50:58Speaker 2: a Nordic Knots rug coming. But it's bright royal blue.
- 51:02Speaker 3: Oh that sounds nice. Now, a rug, that's nice. A
- 51:05Speaker 3: rug I can do with. But a full carpet. What
- 51:08Speaker 3: about a fully carpeted mall?
- 51:11Speaker 2: I hate that this is this could save. It feels
- 51:14Speaker 2: like a backroom. Do you know like backrooms?
- 51:16Speaker 3: Yeah, of course, a mall where every floor is carpeted.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Imagine the sound in there would be so damp.
- 51:23Speaker 2: Oh god, that's how I feel about like huge hotels
- 51:26Speaker 2: of the big conference floors. Oh yeah, I don't like that.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Yeah, because you can't really hear your feet hit the floor.
- 51:33Speaker 2: Can you hear anything?
- 51:34Speaker 3: You vanish?
- 51:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you vanished? That's where you go to vanish. Wow.
- 51:38Speaker 3: No, I'm sure no one's been brave enough to try
- 51:40Speaker 3: that yet with a fully fully carpeted mall.
- 51:43Speaker 2: I think that it wouldn't go well because I think
- 51:45Speaker 2: that I think that people are disgusting shoes off shoes
- 51:49Speaker 2: a shoe off mall.
- 51:52Speaker 3: Yikes, Look you say that.
- 51:54Speaker 2: Now, I don't want to see anyone's feet. Ever, how
- 51:59Speaker 2: do you feel about your own feet? I my feet
- 52:01Speaker 2: are really cute, but I don't like I want everyone's
- 52:06Speaker 2: feet away from me.
- 52:07Speaker 3: Okay, so the shoes off mall is probably not for you.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Do you wear flip flops?
- 52:13Speaker 3: I don't, Okay, good. I guess if I were like
- 52:17Speaker 3: on a vacation that was going to be almost exclusively beach,
- 52:20Speaker 3: I would probably have crocs, okay. Or I guess I
- 52:24Speaker 3: would put on flip flops, but then I just don't
- 52:27Speaker 3: have any other use for them in my life.
- 52:28Speaker 2: It's like your daily shoe.
- 52:30Speaker 3: It's this.
- 52:31Speaker 2: It's a kind of oh god, it's a it's a van.
- 52:36Speaker 2: Is that a van?
- 52:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a van in kind of a marshmallow beige color.
- 52:40Speaker 2: I like that.
- 52:41Speaker 3: I've bought several pairs that are now I have a
- 52:44Speaker 3: new pair in the closet, just waiting until these ones die,
- 52:46Speaker 3: and then I have worse pairs than this for other occasions,
- 52:50Speaker 3: and they're all the same color, only it's the only
- 52:52Speaker 3: one that I'm like, I like how this looks.
- 52:53Speaker 2: And what's the original color white?
- 52:56Speaker 3: No, it's this color. So it's kind of an off white,
- 53:00Speaker 3: so it's not immediately dirty like it. You can build
- 53:03Speaker 3: up the level of dirt on this. This is probably
- 53:05Speaker 3: a month old.
- 53:06Speaker 2: Shoe at this point. That is, that's like a cool
- 53:08Speaker 2: guy shoe.
- 53:09Speaker 3: This is a cool guy shoe. And you are talking
- 53:10Speaker 3: to a cool You are cool, Thank you, thank.
- 53:13Speaker 2: You are like cool guy.
- 53:14Speaker 3: I'm cool guy. Yeah, I'm the cool guy. And this
- 53:17Speaker 3: is a podcast for guys. Yeah, cool guys in the manisphere. Yeah,
- 53:22Speaker 3: so this is essentially the only shoe I'll wear at
- 53:24Speaker 3: this point. Okay, what would you wear? I mean if
- 53:27Speaker 3: you were at the beach?
- 53:29Speaker 2: Well, okay, so like a flip.
- 53:30Speaker 3: Flop flip flop, but not in any other.
- 53:33Speaker 2: My feet are the only feet that are okay with me.
- 53:35Speaker 2: I'm wearing brocken Stocks right now. So my toes are.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Out there, they're out and parking. So would you wear
- 53:42Speaker 3: a flip flop anywhere else in life? No?
- 53:45Speaker 2: What about to like peticure, No, I'd wear Brickenstocks Okay,
- 53:51Speaker 2: be reasonable.
- 53:51Speaker 3: This is my problem. I need to think this through.
- 53:54Speaker 3: When I go to get a pedicure, I always wear
- 53:56Speaker 3: socks and shoes and then.
- 53:57Speaker 2: After why I don't know, But do you forget?
- 54:00Speaker 3: I just I don't do it often enough. I'm not
- 54:03Speaker 3: part of that world enough to like know what I
- 54:06Speaker 3: would which, like should I wear a crock or something?
- 54:10Speaker 3: Wear a crock because afterwards your foot is dried, but
- 54:13Speaker 3: it's still damp enough that you're like pulling on the
- 54:15Speaker 3: sock in a weird way.
- 54:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I think sometimes your feet need to breathe, so
- 54:19Speaker 2: you wear like an enclosed sandal.
- 54:22Speaker 3: An enclosed sandal or a slide.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Oh, I don't like how a slide.
- 54:29Speaker 3: It looks like backtball, right, I don't know where I
- 54:35Speaker 3: should turn, and I don't want to drive around in
- 54:37Speaker 3: a flip flop or be seen wearing jeans and flip flops.
- 54:39Speaker 2: But I'm sure that's going to come back. Jeans and
- 54:41Speaker 2: flip flops are really really gross to me. I really
- 54:44Speaker 2: don't like that. It's I'm sure it's on its way back.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Just brace yourself. Yeah, I don't like it at all.
- 54:49Speaker 3: Six years from now, you're going to be tooling around
- 54:51Speaker 3: them all in a pair of you know, cut jeans
- 54:53Speaker 3: and flip flops.
- 54:54Speaker 2: I think that men wearing jeans and flip flops is
- 54:57Speaker 2: like it. I don't want any man wearing a flip
- 55:00Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. I'm so so sorry. I really it's
- 55:04Speaker 2: really it's mostly straight men, right. I don't know if
- 55:07Speaker 2: you've ever looked at a straight man's foot.
- 55:09Speaker 3: I've looked at my feet, and as a gay man,
- 55:11Speaker 3: I don't agree with my feet.
- 55:14Speaker 2: I mean, I'm sure your feet are more beautiful than
- 55:16Speaker 2: you think. You're really beautiful, I don't. I don't want
- 55:20Speaker 2: to comment on anything being ugly, but I do think
- 55:23Speaker 2: I'm allowed to say this about straight men, and I
- 55:24Speaker 2: think that they need to put their feet away, keep
- 55:28Speaker 2: them away. Yeah, like you're not allowed. How about you're
- 55:31Speaker 2: not allowed to do that, right, That's not something you
- 55:33Speaker 2: should ever do.
- 55:34Speaker 3: But I don't want you giving gay men permission to
- 55:36Speaker 3: wear flip flops either.
- 55:37Speaker 2: Well, I think gay men can do whatever they want.
- 55:40Speaker 3: See now, this is where I disagree.
- 55:43Speaker 2: I'm an ally. It's my job. Boys, listen to me,
- 55:51Speaker 2: do whatever the fuck you want. Mama's here. That's what
- 55:56Speaker 2: I say.
- 55:58Speaker 3: I'm the first gay person you've ever talked? Okay, well,
- 56:07Speaker 3: I think we should probably play a game. Do we
- 56:10Speaker 3: have anything left to say about Taro?
- 56:11Speaker 2: Now?
- 56:12Speaker 3: I'm gonna pull one more card okay, and you're gonna
- 56:15Speaker 3: pull one more card.
- 56:15Speaker 2: I feel like we should see.
- 56:18Speaker 3: And these are just for us?
- 56:19Speaker 2: Okay, what's yours?
- 56:21Speaker 3: Mine is the eight of Roses?
- 56:24Speaker 2: Okay, and mine is the seven of roses.
- 56:27Speaker 3: What does that mean other than we're bad at shuffling.
- 56:29Speaker 2: Other than we're bad at shuffling?
- 56:31Speaker 3: Wait?
- 56:31Speaker 2: What's this one? The King of shells?
- 56:34Speaker 3: Okay, the King of shells? And it's two people in
- 56:37Speaker 3: a gross embrace. That's probably one of the grossest embraces
- 56:40Speaker 3: you could do.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Oh really, I would you agree? I actually really love
- 56:42Speaker 2: this kind of embrace. You don't like this one?
- 56:45Speaker 3: Well, how would you describe that as an embrace? That
- 56:47Speaker 3: is so gross to me?
- 56:49Speaker 2: It's it's you know, you're you're you're twisty tewing to
- 56:53Speaker 2: each other, You're looking apple your crisscross apple sauce to
- 56:57Speaker 2: each other.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Your legs are wrapped around each other like that, and
- 57:00Speaker 3: you're so close.
- 57:01Speaker 2: I think that's cozy, it's wet, it's what what do
- 57:04Speaker 2: you think they're doing?
- 57:05Speaker 3: I look at that, and I'm like, there's a dampness.
- 57:08Speaker 3: There's a strange element to the way people were sitting.
- 57:13Speaker 3: That's not for me.
- 57:14Speaker 2: Okay, what what do you like? What do you like?
- 57:20Speaker 3: Bottom of foot to bottom of foot, legs completely stretched.
- 57:23Speaker 2: You No, I don't like that. I do like this.
- 57:27Speaker 2: This is cozy.
- 57:28Speaker 3: Do you like that?
- 57:29Speaker 2: I do?
- 57:29Speaker 3: Okay, listener, I like.
- 57:31Speaker 2: To talk to people like this. I call this the
- 57:34Speaker 2: drew Berry Moore.
- 57:35Speaker 3: That is a total drew Berry drew.
- 57:37Speaker 2: Berrymore for sure. So this is our clarification card. But wait,
- 57:41Speaker 2: so you picked this six roses roses. Okay, give me
- 57:44Speaker 2: the buck. Okay, let me try and find it. Okay,
- 57:49Speaker 2: Jesus christ Erre, it's the drew Berry Moore. Wait where
- 57:53Speaker 2: are Why is this so hard to I think it's.
- 57:56Speaker 3: Kind of part of the the you know, spiritual element
- 58:00Speaker 3: of this.
- 58:01Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 58:02Speaker 3: Different cards move from page to page, say of.
- 58:04Speaker 2: The same you got the eight of roses, you said.
- 58:06Speaker 3: I got the eight of roses.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Okay, eight of roses. A regular and reliable arrangement or resource.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Sometimes we just want someone who can comfortably deliver.
- 58:16Speaker 3: That's such a low bar.
- 58:18Speaker 2: Yeah. So basically you're like you just want someone to
- 58:21Speaker 2: take care of you, right, you would be taking care
- 58:23Speaker 2: of right, which I love that for you. And then
- 58:26Speaker 2: mine is I got the seven of Roses. Mine is
- 58:29Speaker 2: slow down, don't overthink a situation that simply needs to
- 58:34Speaker 2: run its course. Your patience and dedication will win out.
- 58:38Speaker 2: So basically, I don't really know.
- 58:39Speaker 3: It's that kind of a critical mom card. Yeah you know,
- 58:42Speaker 3: she's just kind of badgering you.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say, And what about the Drew Barrymore,
- 58:47Speaker 2: the King of Shells? The Drew Barrymore got out.
- 58:50Speaker 3: The shells, King of Shells?
- 58:54Speaker 2: Where are the things?
- 58:56Speaker 3: It's impossible to find a card in that? Oh?
- 58:58Speaker 2: Okay, this is a terrible and this is for both
- 59:01Speaker 2: of us, by the way, Yeah, this is for both
- 59:03Speaker 2: of us. This is for like us as a unit.
- 59:05Speaker 2: This is us, This is us, and that's podcasting. Okay.
- 59:10Speaker 2: King of Shells us gentle and experienced in love making.
- 59:14Speaker 2: Oh interesting, The King of Shells tends to prioritize pleasuring
- 59:19Speaker 2: his partner like a sexual poseidon.
- 59:22Speaker 3: Oh.
- 59:22Speaker 2: He displays a powerful oceanic masculinity that's so cuteic masculinity,
- 59:31Speaker 2: an oceanic masculinity that summons the deeps. The King tends
- 59:36Speaker 2: to have a deep understanding and a magnetic gaze. Expect
- 59:40Speaker 2: eye contact, a slow build, and possibly a sensuous massage
- 59:46Speaker 2: at beginning and end.
- 59:50Speaker 3: And then here's beginning bookends, yeah, bookend massage okay, pre
- 59:55Speaker 3: and post okay.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Interesting And then the take care note is when on balanced,
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: this king can pursue his emotional whims to damaging extremes that.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: Are so damaging all the time. Yeah, go off, King,
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: go off, King of the Ocean. Wow, my heart is
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: pound damn sweating. This is the most erotic this podcast.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: I mean it will get more erotic after this episode,
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: but this is really a start.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: I wanted to and I wanted to end here.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: Okay, we're going to play a game called Gift you
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: a Curse. I need to number between one and ten
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: from you four.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: I have to do some light calculating to get our
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: game pieces right now. You can promote, recommend. I don't
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: care what you do.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: I am me. My name is Caitlin. I am a
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: Virgo son, I am a Sagittarius rising, and I am
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: an Aquarius moon. And so what's interesting about that is
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: Sagittarius risings are adventurers and comedians, so that's why. And
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: then my Aquarius moon means that I'm like a little
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: bit of an alien, you know, I'm kind of a
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: bit of a world thinker. And then my Vigo son
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: means that I have anxiety. So that's that's me. That's
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: what I have going on. And I yeah, I am
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: busy and I'm doing one thing, but I legitimately cannot
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: talk about it yet, so I'm just gonna I just
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: gave you my Big three instead, So there we go.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: Everyone find Caitlin somewhere.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Oh, you can find me on the socials on Instagram.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: It's at high Caitlin Riley. Okay, are people on TikTok anymore?
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: That's a good question.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Okay, Well I'm there on TikTok. Just it's Caitlin. Hello,
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: Caitlyn Hello. And then I don't I don't have Twitter
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: x because the in cells found me and I deleted it.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: Don't be sure I share your email?
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: No, No, I'm okay.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: I want one, guess at some point to just give
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: away their email.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: I do have Gmail, though, and I hate it. You
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: hate Gmail?
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: What's the other option?
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: Yahoo?
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Is that?
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: Can you still get a Yahoo? Account or are they
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: all legacy account.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Or what is the other option aside from Gmail?
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: It's probably some paid thing. It's probably like Apple has
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: a thing that Apple at me dot com.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: I don't do that. I'm not paying for my email.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Okay, this is how we play gift or
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: a curse. I'm going to name three things. You'll tell
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: me if there are a gift or a curse and why.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: Then I'll tell you if you're right or wrong, because
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: there are correct answers, they can lose great.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: This first one is from a listener named Cameron. Gift
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: or a curse When two pieces of a package snack
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: are morphed into one, like goldfish or pretzels, et cetera.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: That's a curse. Why because there's a coagulation going on.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: But I didn't that I didn't pay for. Okay, So
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: say I'm at a restaurant and I ordered the bag
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: of cheese its and let's say there's a huge just
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: like cheese curd clump where it's just like the dusting
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: of the cheese it. That's a coagulation I did not
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: pay for, and so that is a curse. I feel
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: like you have I would throw that chip away. That's
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: a curse.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Correct, It shows a lack of care.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: There's a lack of care. What happened at the factory.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: What happened at the factory?
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: What happened to good old hard work, right, good old.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: Fashion, hardy assurance.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: Right? If I see those two, I'm taking it back
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: to the store. Well, first I'm calling and I'm yelling
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: at somewhere, and then I'm taking it back to the store.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: I'm spitting it out of my mouth. God forbid, I
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: chew it. You get it in time out, you.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Go to the store, you have it in your mouth,
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: you're talking to someone, you spit it out of your mouth.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Look at this and look at this.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: No, I don't have my receipt, right, Yeah, but an
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: absolute curse. Anyone that disagrees is wrong.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: The second one is from unfortunately former producer Stephen Ray Morris.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: He somehow found his way into my inbox. Give her
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: a curse. An unprompted wall of a text message.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Oh I love gossip waits. So it's a wall of
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: text that you are receiving from somebody. Is it good
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: or bad? I guess that's what we're finding out. I
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: think it's a gift. Why because I the other day
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: I sent my group chat a fifteen minute voice note
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: and I'm not kidding.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: You have to send like a quiz after to see
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: if they actually listen to and they do, and they
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: did fifteen minutes. Yeah, desperate for a podcast? Right, that
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: was a backdoor pilot. Yeah, one of them says, this
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: is enough, let's let's start a podcast.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: No, I think I do think that it's a gift.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: I love I love it when someone needs to tell
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: me something. I like being involved.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: Correct, Yay, this is a gift.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: It's either going to be a ton of gossip, yeah,
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: or it's going to be the start of some sort
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: of situation in your life with a lot of drama
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: because somebody's mad, someone has something to.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Say, someone cares to communicate with you. Right, it's actually
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: really romantic, just.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: Scrolling and scrolling through one block of text. I love it.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: I love it anytime your heart, regardless of what it says,
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: your heart will be racing for a minute because you'll
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: be thinking, oh my god, what why didn't they do this?
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: In four different texts?
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's reminding you, like, baby, I'm alive.
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: Right, and you picture them at their typewriter, typing away,
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: sending that thing off to you. Oh yeah, there's that's
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: dedication to care. That's the opposite of the goldfish situe.
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: The new love letter, right.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: It's the new love letter. Yeah, all right.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: Finally, this is from a listener named Brian Gifter. A
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: curse those little free library boxes that people put up
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: in front of their houses.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Okay, so that's really performative to me, and I don't
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: like it gift or a curse. It's a curse because
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: if I walk past it, all of a sudden, I
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: have to interact. And if I don't interact, then apparently
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: I don't like people are reading. It's this perform it's
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: a performative thing. It's a performative community thing. It's really cute.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: I just like part of me is like, oh great,
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: I'm sure you have like homemade granola in your Ketchum.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: I just I think it's a curse. I think it's like,
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: just get it. Get the book from Amazon. Please. No
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: one is the time.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: God wrong, wrong, this is a gift.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: Amazon's terrible. Don't do that. Go to bookstores.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: No. I spoke to Caitlin before she has a kind
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: of a partnership. She's teamed up with Amazon.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Whatever, whatever, whatever. Mama's got a payabell. You needed that
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: fifty bucks? Yeah?
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: No, these are a gift. Look, have I ever found
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: a book in one that I wanted to read or
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: had any interest ever in taking home with me? No? Okay,
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: but it's a nice little moment where you get to
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: stop and kind of just linger in front of a
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: stranger's home for too long, kind of looking through their things.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: How often do you get invited to look through strangers things?
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: That's a really good point. I don't get invited enough,
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: and I do love looking through strangers things.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: And I'm now thinking this is a new show Stranger's Things.
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: Stranger Maybe it could be like an antique road show
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: style show. Yeah, where they're appraising strangers things, and then
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: we bring in a supernatural element that doesn't pay it.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Praisers are dressed up as Demi Gorgan's.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: There we go, Yeah, there we go. This is coming
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: together strangers things.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Strangers things. I like that this is our thing together.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: This is that we found it Siranda's reach out. This
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: is us pitching strangers things to Ted. Saranda's on his desk.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: We're sitting through Bary Moore style on his Yeah yeah,
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: He's like, when are they going to kiss?
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Yeah? We never kiss. That. That's the hook of the show,
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: the tension. Yeah, well you got.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: Two out of three?
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Are we done? You've I mean you've I wouldn't say
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: failed the game. I don't fail.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: No, you've never.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Failed, not according to my seven roses in my chariot.
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: Please, I think we should answer a listener question. Fantastic
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: people are writing into I said no gifts at gmail
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: dot com. I'm not afraid to give my email away.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: That's my personal email. I just said no gives it
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: email dot com and they're begging for answers. Will help
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: me answer one of these?
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: Of course.
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: This is Dear Bridger and guests. I have been invited
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: to the housewarming of two newly married friends. The invite
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: states and I quote your presence is gift enough, which
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: is quickly followed by if you insist on bringing something,
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: please consider a no Skips vinyl album that would remind
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: us of you. First, I mean, don't go, God, don't go.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: Wait wait, So what's the question.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: Okay, I mean I just had to kind of I'm
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: collecting myself, you know that kind of shattered me. It
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: seems conflicting to say no gifts but then be asked
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: to bring something. Maybe your guests can relate. Okay, my
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: question is what no skips album should I bring? Do
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: I bring an album that I consider no skips but
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: no they will not enjoy, for example Blink one eighty
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: two's Enema of the State. Or do I select an
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: album that is more in their wheelhouse and likely to
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: be listened to by them down the line, for example,
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: Lady gagaz Born this way, any advice will have you
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: have be appreciated. That's from Colin in Portland.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Okay, so I hate this couple.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: This couple is such a dread that is.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: So obnoxious because do you know what work one needs
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: to go through to like get in their car find
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: the record store because there's record stores on every block
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: in every city.
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: I smell another Amazon promo.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: Coming from yeah yeah, So then you have to then
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: you have to sift through and find, like like by us,
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: a record, but not just any record.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: A perfect to help them, which, by the way, is subjective.
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: So it's a little like now we're putting in this
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: weird critical element where you bring something and we might
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: just think you're stupid or you have bad taste. People
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: have all sorts of different types of no skip out.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: I'm getting them. Fred Durst solo, Help, Yeah, what is it?
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: Start but kiss, start, star butt?
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: What is.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Let's not ellis? What's that album called star?
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: It's hot dog flavored Water's.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: On flavored water and this star But so what is it?
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: There's a second part to it.
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: This is the Limp Biscuit album, not.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: Chocolate Starfish and the hot dog flavored water. And maybe
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: who's Fred Durst?
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: Fred Durst is the He is the vocalist. See, let's
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: call him a singer. He's a singer, singer, singer.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: He's a musician.
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: He's a vocalist.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Wait, so I just said the vocalist of Limp Biscuit,
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: not just Limp Powerhouse vocalist, Powerhouse vocalist, Limp Biscuit, Starfish,
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Water and the hot Dog star Kiss.
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: Ultimately, what you're trying to say is that's a no.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: Skips, a no skips album. So that's the album that
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: I would bring as a fuck you to this couple,
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: or bring an organic orange wine with like a lot
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: of sediment in which I did the other day. I
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: did the other day and the househost was like, oh wow,
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: there's a lot of stuff in it. Huh. I was like, yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: there is hot dog flavored water, hot dog flavored water,
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: and the star Butt Kiss.
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: That feels like a wine spin off or Limp Biscuit.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: They should start a wine business. They should kind of
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: spin off of that album. Yeah, that would revive sales,
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: I think so. I bet they're looking for that.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: I mean, that's resurgence.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: I feel like Collin take the Olympiscuit album, Yeah, take
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: a Long, which I'm sure was on vinyl. That feels
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: very Vinyl.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: Ready for me, very Vinyl ready album.
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: There's a warmth to that album there is.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: Yeah. I want to I want to, really, I want
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: to feel like I'm in the studio kind of surrounded
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: by the sound of it all. I want to be
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: inside the Biscuit.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: Yes, or take nothing, because they did say don't bring anything.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: When somebody says don't bring anything, and then the second
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: thing is extremely annoying if I even show up, right.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: But also like so, then so then if you say
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: it's such a specific gift, So if you say don't
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: bring anything, but if you're going to bring someone something,
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: Please bring a vinyl album that perfectly reflects you as
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: a human being. So then they're going to so so
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: here's the thing they're leading the witness, Right, So this
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: couple is like, that's going to make everyone want to
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: bring an album because what a fun little game. So
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: every single person is going to come in the house
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: and be like, okay, so this is the vinyl album
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: I brought, and then the couple is going to be like,
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: oh my god, of course yes. It's going to be
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: this really cute back and forth, and then there's going
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: to be that one person that doesn't bring in a
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: vinyl album, and it's going to be a disappointment. Right,
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: So I would say my answer is don't go.
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: I think absolutely don't go.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: Cut them out, Yeah, look at them out of your
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: life because they sound very toxic.
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: Can you imagine going to that and being the only
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: person that brings vinyl and I.
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: Would do it? Oh, I thought you meant the only
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: person that doesn't bring vinyl.
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: Either way, it's horrible, But imagine showing up and you're
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: the only person who did that. The horror, the spine chill.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: And how obnoxious I would have to leave.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: I would put it on a table and just walk out,
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: and the.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: Couple would make it would be a whole It would
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: be the sort of centerpiece of the evening.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: Right of course, of them making fun of.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: You, no, of them being like, uh, oh, Bridger, I
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: can't believe you actually bought an out. Oh my, oh
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: my good uh Fridger, wait okay, hold on, wait butriger
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: come here, wait hold on Bridger, Okay, why this richer?
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Why this album?
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: Then they put it on.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: Yes, so they're gonna make a whole spectacle of it,
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: because that is inherently what they want, right, So they're
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: gonna just hook into you the whole night. Personal hell yeah,
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: personal health. Well, we answered the question perfectly. I think
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: we did.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: You didn't win the game, That's fine.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: I didn't win the game. I was kind of an
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: annoying guest. I was late. I think I talked over
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: you a little bit. You're kind of loud and repetitive.
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: You've been a real d plus I've been a real Yeah,
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: I'm unfortunately.
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: But that's okay.
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: That's why we're able to delete audio.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: Thank god.
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: All right, I mean this will we'll save this as
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: like once the podcast is fully over. We'll be like
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: and one special tree. This one. Don't get your hopes
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: up at the episode sucks. Yeah, but you can listen
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: to it because you need more. Yeah, that'll be in
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: a few years and that's fine, fantastic, and you'll be
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: famous by then. Fame, fame.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: It's in my car.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: Yeah, you'll be on floats galore.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: I'll be on floats galore. I've had such a lovely
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: time with you. I've had such a lovely time with you.
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: Thank you for being here.
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: Thank you for being here.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: Listener, the podcast is over. It's just over. I'm I'm
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: asking everyone to stop listening. Stop, get over it, move on.

- 1:15:18Speaker 3: But you're a guest to my home.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: You gotta come to me empty, and I said, no guests.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: You're our presences, presents enough, and I already had too
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: much stuff. So how do you dare to survey me
