  Speaker 1: you to join along with me in prayer. Today I

  Speaker 1: want to pray for compassion and love. Heavenly Father, we

  Speaker 1: come before you today with humble hearts, asking you to

  Speaker 1: transform us from the inside out in a world that
• 0:21
  Speaker 1: is quick to criticize and slow to understand. Teach us
• 0:25
  Speaker 1: to love. Teach us God to choose love in moments
• 0:30
  Speaker 1: when judgment rises, easily, help compassion rise even stronger within us. Lord,

  Speaker 1: we confess that at times we've been too quick to speak,
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: too quick to assume, and too slow to extend grace.

  Speaker 1: We've judged situations we didn't fully understand. We formed opinions

  Speaker 1: without knowing the full story, and we've allowed frustration to
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: shape our responses instead of love. Oh but today Father,

  Speaker 1: we ask you to change us. Change is God. Give

  Speaker 1: us hearts that reflect your heart, eyes that see people

  Speaker 1: the way that you see them. Ears to listen with

  Speaker 1: patience and understanding. God, help us to remember that every

  Speaker 1: person we encounter is fighting battles. We may never see
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: behind every attitude, every mistake, every shortcoming, there is a
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: story there is pain, there is a need for grace. Lord,

  Speaker 1: replace our critical spirit with a compassionate one. When we

  Speaker 1: feel the urge to judge, remind us of the mercy

  Speaker 1: you've shown us. When we want to point out flaws,

  Speaker 1: Remind us how you lovingly correct and restore us. When

  Speaker 1: we're tempted to speak harshly, place kindness on our lips instead.

  Speaker 1: Teach us to pause before we respond. Teach us to

  Speaker 1: pray before we react. Teach us to love even God

  Speaker 1: when it's not easy. Father, let your love flow through

  Speaker 1: us in a real and tangible way. Make us instruments

  Speaker 1: of encouragement instead of discouragement. Let our words build up

  Speaker 1: and not tear down. Let our action reflect kindness, patience,

  Speaker 1: and understanding. Help us to create spaces where people feel seen,

  Speaker 1: feel value, feel loved, not judged or rejected. Lord, self

  Speaker 1: in our hearts where they become hardened. Hell, any wounds

  Speaker 1: in us that cause us to be critical or defensive,

  Speaker 1: fill us so completely with your love that it overflows

  Speaker 1: into every relationship, every conversation, every interaction. Teach us to

  Speaker 1: walk in love God, the kind of love that is patient,

  Speaker 1: the kind of love that is kind, the kind that

  Speaker 1: does not end to your boasts that is not easily
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: angered and keeps no record of wrong. Let compassion be
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: default for us. Let grace be our response. Let love

  Speaker 1: be our legacy and father. When we fall short, gently

  Speaker 1: correct us and draw us back to your heart. We

  Speaker 1: want to love like you love. We want to see

  Speaker 1: like you see. We want to live in a way

  Speaker 1: that reflects God Your goodness in the world around us.
