- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio. This is the almost famous podcast. Yes,
- 0:09Speaker 1: we're here again. So much to break down. I think
- 0:13Speaker 1: this episode, Ashley, is worth breaking down. We have to,
- 0:16Speaker 1: that's kind of our jobs. But the hot gass, as
- 0:19Speaker 1: they say around the world, uh, is really interesting this
- 0:23Speaker 1: week as well. So Ashley, you watched, you enjoyed wat
- 0:28Speaker 1: I did enjoy? You like this episode? Huh? Um? You know,
- 0:33Speaker 1: I think there was as there has been a little
- 0:36Speaker 1: bit of like dragging out certain situations, like maybe with Zach.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I thought we were going to get more tea from
- 0:43Speaker 1: the Zack situation. We did not, but there was there
- 0:48Speaker 1: was um scoop. Yeah, there was definitely like a lot
- 0:52Speaker 1: to ponder. I feel like I spent this whole episode pondering, Ashley.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I spent this whole episode trying to figure out what
- 0:58Speaker 1: the heck was going on. I mean I get the
- 1:02Speaker 1: general themes Zack something, but like we don't still know
- 1:05Speaker 1: exactly what happened in the fantasy suite that made Zack
- 1:08Speaker 1: go I saw a different person. I mean that's a
- 1:11Speaker 1: big statement. Is I fell in love with you on
- 1:15Speaker 1: the show and then I go to the fantasy suites,
- 1:18Speaker 1: and something happened in that room that made him go,
- 1:21Speaker 1: you aren't the same human I've known through this whole process.
- 1:24Speaker 1: It happened so clearly enough to him that he walks out,
- 1:28Speaker 1: I'm confused. I'm confused by his terminology. So he goes,
- 1:31Speaker 1: you weren't the bat like you were the Bachelorette Rachel,
- 1:35Speaker 1: not the Rachel that I got to know. So does
- 1:37Speaker 1: that mean like that? He thinks, like, what's the difference
- 1:40Speaker 1: between the Bachelorette Rachel and the Rachel that he knows,
- 1:43Speaker 1: because you think they've been on camera the entire time,
- 1:46Speaker 1: So wouldn't the terms be different. Wouldn't Bachelorette Rachel will
- 1:50Speaker 1: be the one with the cameras around, and then the
- 1:52Speaker 1: real Rachel'll be the one without cameras around, which he
- 1:55Speaker 1: might have fallen in love with the one with cameras around.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I mean, he said, he used the line. The only
- 2:00Speaker 1: reason I can say that, hey, this might we might
- 2:02Speaker 1: be onto something is he used the line of acting,
- 2:05Speaker 1: he said, I'm he said it's good acting, maybe, And
- 2:09Speaker 1: so I think he felt like he knew somebody on
- 2:12Speaker 1: the Bachelorette in front of cameras and they get behind
- 2:14Speaker 1: closed doors, and whatever happened in that eight to nine
- 2:17Speaker 1: hours behind closed doors made him go, you've been acting
- 2:20Speaker 1: this whole time. It was weird. But again, and I
- 2:25Speaker 1: feel like this might be a misstep. This whole season
- 2:29Speaker 1: is we don't really know, so assumptions have to be made.
- 2:34Speaker 1: We have to kind of read between the lines. And
- 2:37Speaker 1: I don't love that. I would rather a Claire Carley
- 2:40Speaker 1: situation where like, no, this is what you said, what
- 2:44Speaker 1: you did, this is why I'm leaving. Instead we're sitting
- 2:47Speaker 1: here going okay, at least the first part of the episode.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I don't know who's not side I'm on, But I
- 2:54Speaker 1: just don't know where I stand because I really don't
- 2:56Speaker 1: know what happened. Um, I think that is Zach is
- 3:00Speaker 1: being a gentleman and not really revealing what happened. I
- 3:05Speaker 1: think there's something happening. He's trying to be respectful. I
- 3:08Speaker 1: don't think I don't think it was sexual. Actually, um,
- 3:11Speaker 1: I don't even think it got there with them in
- 3:13Speaker 1: the fantasy suite. But again, assumptions. I think that he's
- 3:17Speaker 1: just kind of trying not to blame. I think you're
- 3:24Speaker 1: trying not to use exactly whether it's whether it's him
- 3:29Speaker 1: continuingly to use the word acting or like a front
- 3:34Speaker 1: to show blah, that could be it, Like maybe he
- 3:37Speaker 1: just felt like her personality was totally different. Um, if
- 3:40Speaker 1: there was a specific situation. Again, I just don't think
- 3:43Speaker 1: he's going to bring up either any of these things,
- 3:45Speaker 1: because I think he's being a gentleman. UM. But I
- 3:49Speaker 1: also between reading between the lines, because you were talking
- 3:51Speaker 1: about how like we have we have to do that.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I think our assumption on last week's podcast is definitely right.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I think she just wasn't that into um. And then
- 4:01Speaker 1: once she was in privacy in some place that was
- 4:04Speaker 1: supposed to be intimate, she was like, oh, I can't
- 4:07Speaker 1: hide this anymore. Like I'm a little bit gross out.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I got the ick. Um, I can't fake it with
- 4:13Speaker 1: this guy anymore. Okay, I mean that's fair, and I
- 4:16Speaker 1: do I don't think we're far off. Um. You know,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I don't know how I feel. This is a weird
- 4:23Speaker 1: scenario because you're on national television. It is not only
- 4:29Speaker 1: a pursuit to find love, but it is also an
- 4:32Speaker 1: entertainment for the viewer, and from my perspective, it felt
- 4:39Speaker 1: even weirder to me. Actuley that Zach came out on
- 4:43Speaker 1: stage and it was kind of like, everything's good. I
- 4:47Speaker 1: made a mistake, he said, and you know, I'm sorry
- 4:51Speaker 1: if I confused you. I felt like that was told.
- 4:56Speaker 1: That conversation was like a total reiteration of what happened
- 5:00Speaker 1: when he left. But now she's good with it. But
- 5:03Speaker 1: now she's like, okay, cool, like let's hug and everything's good.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I'm glad you're doing well, Patty on the back, have
- 5:07Speaker 1: a good one. It just felt it felt like there
- 5:11Speaker 1: was so much missing. I don't know if I wanted
- 5:13Speaker 1: them to battle it out on stage and to argue
- 5:16Speaker 1: and to get into details. I mean, you know that's
- 5:19Speaker 1: up to the two of them, and we're here just
- 5:21Speaker 1: to watch. I guess, but I just felt I watched
- 5:23Speaker 1: it and said, I don't I didn't get anything new
- 5:26Speaker 1: out of their conversation last night. It was five minute
- 5:28Speaker 1: filler for me. When you know that I missed Kimba. Yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 1: and that's what I mean. It was like a reiteration. So, okay,
- 5:36Speaker 1: Zach leaves at the top of the episode, right right away,
- 5:40Speaker 1: he's gone. Another person breaks Rachel's heart. Is there is
- 5:45Speaker 1: there's something and we've been able to talk to both
- 5:47Speaker 1: gabbing Rachel on this podcast. But I'm starting to feel
- 5:51Speaker 1: like we're missing something, because what do you mean breaking heart?
- 5:54Speaker 1: You think that she's broken hearted by Zach leaving? You
- 5:56Speaker 1: know she was going to eliminate him. Do you think
- 5:59Speaker 1: that she were an ego Bruce like differs a heartbreak
- 6:02Speaker 1: and an ego bruise ego? You know this isn't the
- 6:05Speaker 1: first time she's been broken up with by or somebody's
- 6:08Speaker 1: left by a guy that she's not into. Her ego
- 6:10Speaker 1: is in question. She said the line, I'm tired of
- 6:14Speaker 1: going through these moments. Right, She's the one that's typically
- 6:17Speaker 1: getting hurt here, or at least she's not having control here.
- 6:22Speaker 1: He's so cute. I think you can keep TD doing
- 6:24Speaker 1: it as long as he's not bothering you. I think
- 6:26Speaker 1: it's adorable. He's not bothering me, Okay, So either way
- 6:30Speaker 1: you want to frame it, he leaves uh and she
- 6:34Speaker 1: has no control over that. I just don't know what
- 6:40Speaker 1: we're missing, is the question I want to ask is
- 6:43Speaker 1: why are these guys maybe so hesitant? What are they
- 6:48Speaker 1: seeing that we're not. I mean, I I we've met
- 6:50Speaker 1: both of these bachelorettes we've been able to talk to them,
- 6:54Speaker 1: we've seen him throughout this season. I think they're both catches.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I think they both are um on not going. I
- 7:01Speaker 1: don't think this was Rachel's best episode, and we can
- 7:03Speaker 1: talk about that here in a bit. I think there
- 7:05Speaker 1: were some moments where I was like, but what are
- 7:10Speaker 1: these guys seeing that we're not because these feel like
- 7:12Speaker 1: to me and and actually tell me if I'm wrong,
- 7:14Speaker 1: and they feel like there's sometimes coming out of nowhere,
- 7:16Speaker 1: like they feel like they're getting these relationships are ending,
- 7:19Speaker 1: and instead of the contestants being the ones surprised and hurt,
- 7:22Speaker 1: it's the leads being surprised and hurt. And that's a
- 7:25Speaker 1: weird dynamic to me. It is weird. We've had more.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I think there's been more heartbreak from the girls getting
- 7:32Speaker 1: broken up with than the guys this season. Um, do
- 7:37Speaker 1: I have a theory on this? Yeah? I mean, what's
- 7:40Speaker 1: your initial reaction to that? Because it's a theme this season,
- 7:44Speaker 1: if we like it or not. I think this is brutal.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I'm about to say, but you're sweet, and you say
- 7:50Speaker 1: we've met them, but like, we've met them for twenty
- 7:52Speaker 1: minutes on our podcast, and that we've seen a TV
- 7:55Speaker 1: version of them, so we don't really know them, and
- 7:59Speaker 1: we don't really know like their readiness for a relationship.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I just feel like, going off of this episode, I
- 8:05Speaker 1: really feel like we're I mean, Gabby, you know, Gabby's fine, Gabby.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I feel like she she's she's ready, right, She's mature,
- 8:12Speaker 1: she's older, she's ready. Um. Right after this episode, I'm like,
- 8:17Speaker 1: I think Rachel might need to do some a little
- 8:22Speaker 1: bit more like growing up. I don't know, it's I
- 8:25Speaker 1: see myself a lot in her as a twenty six
- 8:27Speaker 1: year old. She's twenty six. When I started this whole show,
- 8:30Speaker 1: I was twenty six, and I think that I got
- 8:35Speaker 1: a lot of great experience in growing from the show,
- 8:37Speaker 1: and that might be what is going to happen for her.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Like she she may not be ready for the engagement now, um,
- 8:44Speaker 1: but like this show will help prepare her for the
- 8:47Speaker 1: future for that situation. That's fair too. I mean that's
- 8:51Speaker 1: not even like a massive diss on Rachel. It's like, hey,
- 8:55Speaker 1: you gave this thing a shot at twenty six. But
- 8:57Speaker 1: this episode, and we'll talk about these things later, highlighted
- 9:01Speaker 1: a few areas that for a viewer and for Twitter,
- 9:03Speaker 1: especially um we were I guess I was a little
- 9:08Speaker 1: bit thrown off by and I would love to talk
- 9:10Speaker 1: to her and hear why she said and did the
- 9:14Speaker 1: things she did, because maybe she can help us make
- 9:16Speaker 1: sense of it. But this episode was not her best
- 9:19Speaker 1: uh moments, and it was not a great way of
- 9:21Speaker 1: handling um some some very serious conversations. Gabby's kind of
- 9:27Speaker 1: flying under the radar here. This episode was like not
- 9:29Speaker 1: a Gabby episode at all. In fact, her date with
- 9:33Speaker 1: Eric was what like four minutes at the end of
- 9:36Speaker 1: the episode, it was nothing. We had the home day
- 9:39Speaker 1: with a family day and that was it. It was
- 9:41Speaker 1: like maybe a collective like twenty minutes. I also just
- 9:44Speaker 1: want to say about the racial situation. I'm like the
- 9:49Speaker 1: last person to talk here because like I have dealt
- 9:51Speaker 1: with situations in real life and on this show so emotionally,
- 9:55Speaker 1: and like whenever I have like a serious conversation, like
- 9:58Speaker 1: it's hard for me not to cry. So I can't
- 10:01Speaker 1: fault her if like her go to is to be
- 10:04Speaker 1: like a little bit just like overly emotional, right, Like
- 10:08Speaker 1: that's fine, Like some of us deal with it like that,
- 10:10Speaker 1: but in this situation, I feel like it would have
- 10:14Speaker 1: really been helpful for her to be like, Okay, I'm
- 10:16Speaker 1: really emotional right now. I need to take a break
- 10:18Speaker 1: from this and come back and think about it, because
- 10:23Speaker 1: then you can come back in my at least in
- 10:26Speaker 1: my body and kind of figure things out and come
- 10:30Speaker 1: back with a cooler, calmer head and not cry so much.
- 10:34Speaker 1: And just to be so thrown off as she was
- 10:37Speaker 1: in a couple of moments with even see and the
- 10:39Speaker 1: emotion isn't a thing that throws me off at all, Ash, Like,
- 10:44Speaker 1: I'm more emotional than most men. I know that, right.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I cry often. I cry over big things, I cry
- 10:50Speaker 1: over little things. I cried a lot during the show
- 10:53Speaker 1: over just moments that hit you differently or that reminds
- 10:56Speaker 1: you of something in the past or that concern you.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I cry. Uh. And so the crying and the emotion
- 11:04Speaker 1: I could. I'm cool, Like, I get it it, it's
- 11:06Speaker 1: meaning something to you. But do you think that sometimes
- 11:09Speaker 1: it hinders your communication skills? Because that's what I know
- 11:12Speaker 1: that Jared would argue with me, is like, sometimes like
- 11:14Speaker 1: I can't be clear about my what I'm feeling because
- 11:18Speaker 1: like in that moment, I'm so over like I worked out, Yeah,
- 11:21Speaker 1: well that was that was the ending to that statement.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Was The thing that I'm confused by are the words
- 11:26Speaker 1: being used and the motivation behind those words where you know?
- 11:30Speaker 1: I think this episode especially, it was why are you trying?
- 11:34Speaker 1: Where are you trying to get with these guys? What
- 11:35Speaker 1: are you trying to tell them? What are you trying
- 11:37Speaker 1: to show them? You know, you're saying things that's making
- 11:39Speaker 1: them be put into a corner that I don't know
- 11:42Speaker 1: if they need to be put into, instead of having
- 11:43Speaker 1: an adult conversation where you're both just expressing where you're at,
- 11:47Speaker 1: what you feel, what you need, what you think. Now,
- 11:50Speaker 1: it becomes a blame game, and I think that is
- 11:52Speaker 1: a really odd communication style. Emotion cool with it. But
- 11:56Speaker 1: if you turn that emotion to be the driving force
- 12:00Speaker 1: behind the words that you're using, just so that you
- 12:02Speaker 1: can feel better or that you can cure these emotions
- 12:05Speaker 1: that are living inside of you, that's where it gets troublesome.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I would say it's it's a troublesome when you speak
- 12:11Speaker 1: from a place of simply reaction and emotion and not
- 12:14Speaker 1: some logic and thought and some idea of Hey, I
- 12:17Speaker 1: care about the person sitting across from me. Where am
- 12:20Speaker 1: I actually, what am I actually trying to say? Like
- 12:22Speaker 1: where am I trying to take this relationship? And this
- 12:24Speaker 1: episode felt like it was from starting with Zach. Really
- 12:27Speaker 1: in that conversation, I know it was done already. Nope,
- 12:31Speaker 1: you know she was cool with it. He was obviously
- 12:33Speaker 1: wanting to go into then the Avan scenario. It felt
- 12:38Speaker 1: like the driving force behind each conversation was I want
- 12:42Speaker 1: to make you feel bad and wrong for the way
- 12:46Speaker 1: you're feeling. Yeah, And it's like really yeah a little
- 12:51Speaker 1: A lot people hate say that I say the term
- 12:55Speaker 1: in the in the wrong way, but I mean I
- 12:57Speaker 1: that is gas lighting. Whatever. Isn't that the term right
- 13:01Speaker 1: that you were making? Flipping the feelings? I don't know whatever,
- 13:04Speaker 1: And let's not even use the word. She's definitely flipping
- 13:06Speaker 1: the situation a little bit. Um okay, but let's let's
- 13:10Speaker 1: set up the scene with with Avan for a minute,
- 13:12Speaker 1: so we meet the family. She's like so thrilled, so
- 13:16Speaker 1: excited about them meeting him. She's basically saying like he's Mr. Perfectly.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I can't find a flaw on this guy. And after
- 13:22Speaker 1: this episode, I feel like all of us has an
- 13:24Speaker 1: audience like we still can't find a flaw he's like,
- 13:27Speaker 1: I get and we get to know even more in
- 13:29Speaker 1: this episode, like we predicted last week and oh my gosh,
- 13:33Speaker 1: what a what a guy, what a catch? And um okay,
- 13:37Speaker 1: So here's the situation. He meets the family. Everything's going
- 13:41Speaker 1: swimmingly until he's sitting down with those friends are siblings,
- 13:46Speaker 1: fends okay, and they're asking him about his readiness to propose,
- 13:52Speaker 1: and he kind of says, for the first time, he
- 13:56Speaker 1: wants to propose to her one day, but it may
- 13:59Speaker 1: not be like in a couple of days, and you know,
- 14:03Speaker 1: all of us at home are it's We're all like logically,
- 14:07Speaker 1: we're like, yeah, this is this makes sense, Like that's fine.
- 14:11Speaker 1: He doesn't have to feel ready to propose right now.
- 14:13Speaker 1: But at the same time, where like we know this show,
- 14:16Speaker 1: we know that you're like a villain if you're not
- 14:18Speaker 1: ready to propose. And it is hilarious the difference between
- 14:24Speaker 1: last week seeing Jason break up with Gabby because or
- 14:27Speaker 1: whatever you want to say, who break up with who
- 14:29Speaker 1: in that situation but him, but Jason saying I'm not
- 14:33Speaker 1: ready to get engaged, Like there's no way to even
- 14:36Speaker 1: approach to the same situation because Jason looked awful. Last week.
- 14:40Speaker 1: We were like, I don't like Jason anymore. He was
- 14:43Speaker 1: leading her on, he was never being honest. And then
- 14:46Speaker 1: with Aven, it's it's totally different. Ben. Why do you
- 14:50Speaker 1: think that is besides the fact that they're like, obviously
- 14:53Speaker 1: like two different people with like one seems pretty cold
- 14:57Speaker 1: in communication style and then Even seems very warm in
- 15:00Speaker 1: this communication style. Well, I think there's a lot um,
- 15:05Speaker 1: I mean, of his, a lot of reasons why it's
- 15:07Speaker 1: different in just how we perceive it. The I mean,
- 15:10Speaker 1: in my opinion, the one is, uh, the whole show,
- 15:15Speaker 1: Jesse Rachel production tried to make it look like Even
- 15:20Speaker 1: messed up here, right, and we did, and they failed.
- 15:25Speaker 1: They failed, They failed. I thought they really misread the situation. Uh,
- 15:29Speaker 1: and they made I don't know if they made him.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But Even then comes out and apologizes, which is such
- 15:33Speaker 1: a weird thing to do and not exactly um fitting
- 15:38Speaker 1: for the things that we saw. Maybe there is more
- 15:40Speaker 1: behind the scenes, but the reason that they wanted to
- 15:42Speaker 1: feel like Even wasn't the wrong because they claim. At
- 15:44Speaker 1: some point Avid said I'm ready for an engagement. His
- 15:47Speaker 1: response to that was, I am ready for an engagement
- 15:51Speaker 1: and I'm not ready to leave you, Rachel. I care
- 15:53Speaker 1: about you. I can't picture a life without you. I
- 15:57Speaker 1: just don't think this is the environment in which I
- 16:00Speaker 1: can propose to somebody. I want to see your house
- 16:03Speaker 1: in Florida. I want to see your life. I want
- 16:05Speaker 1: to start a family with you. I just don't want
- 16:07Speaker 1: to start that process here on this show. And so
- 16:10Speaker 1: we watch this logically. Like I've said every year, Ashley is,
- 16:14Speaker 1: I don't care if the show ends in an engagement.
- 16:16Speaker 1: In fact, I like the seasons when it doesn't, because
- 16:19Speaker 1: I know now where the people are at walking forward,
- 16:22Speaker 1: and we can celebrate them just being a couple. But
- 16:25Speaker 1: I really love it when they do get engaged, because
- 16:27Speaker 1: then I know you're ready. This is you've prepared, like
- 16:30Speaker 1: you've prepared for this for whatever reason, this show has
- 16:32Speaker 1: brought you two together, and you feel like you know
- 16:34Speaker 1: all the things you need to know to lead you
- 16:36Speaker 1: into an engagement. That's cool too. Both are cool and
- 16:40Speaker 1: aven I think was being so brutally honest with both
- 16:45Speaker 1: the family and the friends and Rachel that we watched
- 16:51Speaker 1: it and said, Rachel, what are you missing here? This
- 16:53Speaker 1: man is telling you that he cares about you. This
- 16:56Speaker 1: man is telling you he does not want to leave you.
- 16:58Speaker 1: This man is telling you that he is in it
- 17:00Speaker 1: for you, and yet you sit there and say, you
- 17:04Speaker 1: can't give me what I want. And he's saying, what
- 17:06Speaker 1: do you want then? And she says, I want somebody
- 17:09Speaker 1: to to care for me. And he's like, well, I
- 17:11Speaker 1: do I care for you. I want somebody ready for
- 17:14Speaker 1: an engagement. And he's like, I am ready for an engagement.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I didn't lie to you when I said that. What
- 17:18Speaker 1: I'm when I when I said that, it just I
- 17:21Speaker 1: never said here and now. And so we're watching this going.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Rachel's telling him he's wrong and that he's betrayed her
- 17:29Speaker 1: or whatever, and he's saying, how have I betrayed you?
- 17:32Speaker 1: And she says and he's like, no, I actually just
- 17:35Speaker 1: said that I care about you. I actually just said
- 17:37Speaker 1: I'm ready for you. I actually just said that that
- 17:40Speaker 1: I want to start a family with you. You're just
- 17:43Speaker 1: it's just not on the timeline that you desire, Rachel.
- 17:46Speaker 1: You're not maybe gonna get engaged at the end of
- 17:48Speaker 1: the show. And is that what you want? More than
- 17:51Speaker 1: what than a successful and healthy relationship? Maybe maybe that's
- 17:55Speaker 1: what she had to say is well, hey, here's the deal.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I know you care about me, I know we're great together,
- 18:00Speaker 1: but what I really want is for my engagement to
- 18:04Speaker 1: be on this show. And he's like, well, I can't
- 18:07Speaker 1: give you that, and then they had a disagreement. But
- 18:09Speaker 1: that could that could have happened, but that never got
- 18:10Speaker 1: brought up. It was more of like a you've betrayed me,
- 18:13Speaker 1: you've led me along, and he's like, I don't know,
- 18:16Speaker 1: I'm not seeing it that way, but yet, and then
- 18:18Speaker 1: as to all stop because I've kind of ranted here. No, no,
- 18:20Speaker 1: I love it, and yet he still is the one
- 18:23Speaker 1: to apologize, and so I throw it back to you, Ashley.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Did you feel like he needed to apologize as often
- 18:30Speaker 1: and as much as he did for everything it feels
- 18:33Speaker 1: like he said? And did I never felt like? I
- 18:36Speaker 1: guess I never felt like he had needed to apologize.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And I don't know what he was apologizing for other
- 18:42Speaker 1: than maybe just not being more open and honest with
- 18:44Speaker 1: her sooner that's why he was apologizing. I want to
- 18:49Speaker 1: know whether or not the apology was something that he
- 18:54Speaker 1: wanted to do or something that production encouraged him to
- 18:57Speaker 1: do in order to look bad her on the live show,
- 19:03Speaker 1: and I do think that they're perhaps no, no, no,
- 19:07Speaker 1: I'm just then they misread it. Well that's what I mean,
- 19:11Speaker 1: like where we like you said, you think that their
- 19:16Speaker 1: thought was that the audience was going to be against
- 19:20Speaker 1: him and upset for Rachel that she felt led on. Um,
- 19:26Speaker 1: and that wasn't the that wasn't the case from the audience.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I even did a pull less that on Instagram. I
- 19:31Speaker 1: was like, what did I say, Um, we we like
- 19:34Speaker 1: even more after this episode? Right? And yeah, of people
- 19:40Speaker 1: say they didn't like even more after this episode? Well,
- 19:44Speaker 1: I think then there was. I think that's exactly what
- 19:46Speaker 1: they were trying to do because Jesse's wording even actually
- 19:49Speaker 1: if you listen to it, was making even out to
- 19:53Speaker 1: be the bad guy. Uh, it was making it was
- 19:57Speaker 1: taking Rachel and being like, you know, you're so hurt. Uh,
- 20:01Speaker 1: that was shocking, that was thrown off. Did you feel
- 20:03Speaker 1: like that was a twist and a turn and so
- 20:06Speaker 1: Jesse and and that's and I like Jesse. I think
- 20:08Speaker 1: he's filled in. Well, um, I think he's a good
- 20:11Speaker 1: host of this show. I don't I but I do
- 20:14Speaker 1: feel like that was a moment where I was watching
- 20:16Speaker 1: this episode, I was like, Jesse, You're you are not
- 20:18Speaker 1: believable right now, Like the words that you're saying are
- 20:21Speaker 1: not fitting what we just watched. You're trying to to
- 20:25Speaker 1: twist us and frame this in the light that nobody
- 20:29Speaker 1: here is seeing. And I haven't talked to one person
- 20:32Speaker 1: to watch last night's episode. And I have a good
- 20:34Speaker 1: solide group of from some past contestants and some some
- 20:37Speaker 1: producer friends that say that last night's episode really favored Rachel.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Everybody was like, I don't understand what was why she
- 20:48Speaker 1: was so upset and why he was then apologizing, except
- 20:51Speaker 1: for maybe the show wanted it that way. Even is
- 20:54Speaker 1: too good of like a soul of a person for
- 20:59Speaker 1: them to even be able to get away with choosing
- 21:02Speaker 1: Rachel in the side because like he was shining in
- 21:05Speaker 1: those moments, because like he couldn't mess up, because like
- 21:09Speaker 1: he's too good to like actually mess up, because it
- 21:11Speaker 1: wasn't an act or it wasn't like there was something
- 21:14Speaker 1: fake about what he was saying like he was it
- 21:17Speaker 1: was authentic that he really did want a future with her,
- 21:20Speaker 1: just maybe not the ring on the finger. And the
- 21:23Speaker 1: bottom line, the big issue here is that she just
- 21:28Speaker 1: wanted a ring on her finger. To her, that was love.
- 21:32Speaker 1: To him, that was not the declaration of love. Well
- 21:35Speaker 1: and yeah, and then my final thing was, hey even apologized,
- 21:40Speaker 1: even if the show wanted him to, he did it, right.
- 21:43Speaker 1: We the show can tell you to do a thousand
- 21:45Speaker 1: different things. You don't have to do it. He did it.
- 21:47Speaker 1: And so for whatever reason he felt like it was
- 21:49Speaker 1: necessary to apologize. And maybe again, and if so, then
- 21:54Speaker 1: we're just talking without knowledge here. Maybe there was things
- 21:59Speaker 1: happening behind in the scenes that he did feel like
- 22:01Speaker 1: you need to apologize for. Maybe he did leader on.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Maybe maybe there's some of that that we never watched
- 22:06Speaker 1: that happened in the fantasy suite, because that's what was
- 22:08Speaker 1: continue to be referenced. I don't think it was, because
- 22:10Speaker 1: that was never really clearly brought up. But for whatever reason,
- 22:14Speaker 1: he felt like, Hey, I need to apologize to this person.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I did her unfairly. And so, like you said, I
- 22:22Speaker 1: think even as a man of his word, I think
- 22:24Speaker 1: from what we know and have seen, he's a good dude.
- 22:28Speaker 1: So he felt like it was the right thing to do.
- 22:31Speaker 1: And so I say, okay, cool, I just still I
- 22:34Speaker 1: guess as a viewer, I'm going why did you, and
- 22:37Speaker 1: now I'm here again making assumptions of why he felt
- 22:40Speaker 1: like he had to. And I think that hurts Rachel
- 22:43Speaker 1: more than it hurts Even because what we saw last
- 22:46Speaker 1: night were like, even you have nothing to apologize for. Well,
- 22:50Speaker 1: I think the simple answer is I just feel like
- 22:52Speaker 1: he's too good, Like he's just like a good person
- 22:55Speaker 1: who was like, oh my gosh, I hurt somebody's feelings,
- 22:57Speaker 1: and when I hurt somebody's feelings, I apologize for that. Yeah,
- 23:00Speaker 1: well that's fair. Um, I just it felt like Bachel
- 23:05Speaker 1: Nation was very much as you said, it felt was
- 23:08Speaker 1: on the side of even Um, this was just unfortunate.
- 23:13Speaker 1: You guys weren't on the same page. That's fair. Maybe
- 23:16Speaker 1: it needed in because you weren't on the same page
- 23:19Speaker 1: and you didn't have the same interest. But this whole
- 23:22Speaker 1: scenario last night, uh felt like he was made out
- 23:26Speaker 1: to be a villain, or at least tried to at
- 23:29Speaker 1: least have a villain a villain moment, and it was unnecessary,
- 23:33Speaker 1: didn't fit, it didn't sit. I don't know anybody today
- 23:36Speaker 1: waking up being like that even guy like he's just
- 23:39Speaker 1: the worst. Ah that it just felt like the show
- 23:44Speaker 1: misread it. And it felt like the whole scenario was awkward.
- 23:48Speaker 1: But you think you think that it was different than
- 23:50Speaker 1: Jason last week because because Even was saying that he
- 23:56Speaker 1: was emotionally like ready to take this on, and like
- 24:00Speaker 1: Ajason was saying that like he wasn't there yet. Yeah,
- 24:02Speaker 1: I think the difference is Even was like, I still
- 24:04Speaker 1: want to be here with you, Like I'm not asking
- 24:07Speaker 1: to leave and I'm not breaking up with you. Actually,
- 24:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna fight to be here for you. Uh. And
- 24:12Speaker 1: so Even was just saying, Hey, but if you're wanting
- 24:14Speaker 1: a proposal at the end of this, I don't know
- 24:15Speaker 1: if I'm the man to give it to you, but
- 24:18Speaker 1: I do believe is I'm the man that can be
- 24:20Speaker 1: alongside of you past this show where Jason was like,
- 24:23Speaker 1: I'm just not ready, which he's pretty much saying, I'm
- 24:25Speaker 1: just not that end of you. Like we're getting into
- 24:27Speaker 1: the end here and I'm seeing this, I'm like, I
- 24:28Speaker 1: don't even want to be with you at the end
- 24:30Speaker 1: of this. We're Aven's like, please keep me here. Uh,
- 24:34Speaker 1: just let you know. You know, we're a week or
- 24:36Speaker 1: so away from the end of this, and this is
- 24:38Speaker 1: where I'm at right now. What's funny is I thought
- 24:51Speaker 1: they could have given even like a Bachelor edit. You know,
- 24:56Speaker 1: I feel like the fantom right, the fandom would be
- 25:00Speaker 1: out for him to be the Bachelor. But it wasn't
- 25:01Speaker 1: even like they were going with that angle. Jessica hasn't
- 25:04Speaker 1: watched one episode this season. She came in last night
- 25:07Speaker 1: as he was on TV, and she goes, He's the
- 25:09Speaker 1: next Bachelor, right, And I was like, God, She's like,
- 25:13Speaker 1: he's he's like good looking, gorgeous and so sweet and
- 25:17Speaker 1: he's being very kind and well like who else do
- 25:22Speaker 1: they have? And I was like, actually, I'm I'm with you, Hunt,
- 25:24Speaker 1: like this dude should be the next Bachelor. Like, I
- 25:27Speaker 1: think it would be a huge win for the show.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know who's making those decisions anymore,
- 25:32Speaker 1: but I'm assuming it's going to be like Meatball or
- 25:34Speaker 1: somebody will be chosen. What's happening now? This is just
- 25:39Speaker 1: one craziness, all right, Ash walk us through, uh the
- 25:45Speaker 1: Tino just because we're backing with the We're going to
- 25:47Speaker 1: compare this with the Tino scenario, the Tino's hometown or
- 25:50Speaker 1: I guess meeting of the parents. So with Tino, everything
- 25:55Speaker 1: kind of just goes hunky dory. It's pretty great. Rachel's
- 25:59Speaker 1: dad is an intimidating dude, but he's like, Rachel, I
- 26:03Speaker 1: like you. He's like to, you know, we're work work, cool,
- 26:06Speaker 1: let's do this. Um. There are only issue that they
- 26:09Speaker 1: could bring up with Tino is the fact that, like
- 26:12Speaker 1: when it comes to his construction job, he often can
- 26:15Speaker 1: work on one building for years long term, long term,
- 26:20Speaker 1: and that may not drive with her situation as a pilot.
- 26:25Speaker 1: But if that's that's the only problem they have with him,
- 26:28Speaker 1: it's pretty good. Yeah. I mean, there's there's just no
- 26:34Speaker 1: depth to this, But I don't know, there was like
- 26:37Speaker 1: a little bit because I think that like her dad
- 26:41Speaker 1: is hard on guys, and he just seemed to drive
- 26:44Speaker 1: with him right away. So that was nice to see.
- 26:48Speaker 1: And like, I don't know necessarily that there needs to
- 26:50Speaker 1: be like any heaviness to it, as if there's like, um,
- 26:56Speaker 1: just like a good vibe going on. I think that's
- 26:58Speaker 1: a good first meeting ing. It was a good first meeting.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I guess it all threw me off when when this
- 27:05Speaker 1: whole thing gets very brought up about hometowns and the
- 27:09Speaker 1: dad's asking him, you know, why were your was your
- 27:12Speaker 1: family not supportive? All of rachel Ones is a supportive family.
- 27:17Speaker 1: And Tino's responses, I don't really know what we talked
- 27:19Speaker 1: about sports. Oh, that's right, But you know, that's what
- 27:23Speaker 1: some guys have with their dads. That's just sometimes the
- 27:26Speaker 1: depth of their relationship, which is like, obviously, I'm not
- 27:29Speaker 1: encouraging that to be the only thing that you talked
- 27:32Speaker 1: about with your dad, but I'm just saying that's the
- 27:33Speaker 1: reality of the situation. Is a lot of guys don't
- 27:36Speaker 1: get deep with other men. That's fair. But even on
- 27:40Speaker 1: this environment, like you would think that you would talk
- 27:44Speaker 1: about something. I mean, I guess what I'm confused by,
- 27:48Speaker 1: actually is Tino's dad was so anti Rachel to her face,
- 27:52Speaker 1: and so anti this environment that you would think that
- 27:56Speaker 1: he would have. So it's something to Tina. If he
- 27:59Speaker 1: feels so strongly to say it to Rachel, then why
- 28:01Speaker 1: not say it to your son. Uh, That's what I'm
- 28:04Speaker 1: confused by. I'm not even confused by Tino's dad. Tino's
- 28:08Speaker 1: dad based on his social media activity, which, by the way, guys,
- 28:11Speaker 1: if you're not not caught up, he basically comments on
- 28:15Speaker 1: each episode and he like talks on Rachel with each episode,
- 28:19Speaker 1: like last night he was complaining about like her crying
- 28:22Speaker 1: so much or something like that. The guy just wants attention.
- 28:25Speaker 1: This guy is just like he loves that he has
- 28:28Speaker 1: a spotlight on him. That's the only reason why he'd
- 28:31Speaker 1: be like so outspoken. I don't think that it's Rachel.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I think he was going to create drama in any way.
- 28:37Speaker 1: He is the new Barb. He is the Barbed version.
- 28:41Speaker 1: But I also think, like I think Barbed in hindsight
- 28:47Speaker 1: was being protective and maybe not like going after spotlight. Right,
- 28:51Speaker 1: not everything, not everything Barb was saying was like, oh
- 28:56Speaker 1: she no, because she loved remember how she loved Angel
- 29:00Speaker 1: Hannah Ann. So it's like she did, like she just
- 29:03Speaker 1: had opinions with this guy. He just wants to hate.
- 29:06Speaker 1: He's just like an internet troll who got a little spotlight.
- 29:09Speaker 1: You know, it's really awkward. Is he's ruining the show? Oh,
- 29:14Speaker 1: he's spoiling it? Yeah, because to a certain extent, if
- 29:17Speaker 1: I mean, Tino's the last one left and Tino's dad
- 29:21Speaker 1: is hating on Rachel. So what does that tell us?
- 29:25Speaker 1: That tells us that they're probably not together and bad
- 29:29Speaker 1: family dynamic. It's so bad. This has made him a
- 29:33Speaker 1: strange to his family, probably, But between the scenes in
- 29:36Speaker 1: the next episode and what his dad continues to say, yeah,
- 29:40Speaker 1: it doesn't look good for the two of them. No,
- 29:44Speaker 1: this is not this is not going down a good path. Um,
- 29:48Speaker 1: I just I yeah, I don't have much cut to
- 29:50Speaker 1: comment on that because I think it's just very inappropriate.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I think it's hard for parents and family to be
- 29:55Speaker 1: invited into the show when hometowns happened. I think it's
- 29:58Speaker 1: really inappropriate when parents um publicly do things that can
- 30:05Speaker 1: possibly hurt their child as their child tries to navigate
- 30:08Speaker 1: these waters. And I get very I get very frustrated
- 30:12Speaker 1: with that because that's just the parents are overstepping their bounds. Um,
- 30:18Speaker 1: I would say, and I'd say that Tino's dad's face,
- 30:21Speaker 1: stay off of Facebook. You ain't getting any more popular
- 30:24Speaker 1: because you're commenting your flame is about to go away.
- 30:28Speaker 1: All right. So wait, let's before we wrap with Rachel,
- 30:33Speaker 1: which was predominantly the junk of the episode, let's just
- 30:37Speaker 1: let's talk about those scenes to the next episode, because
- 30:40Speaker 1: we do only have one guy left for her. It's Tino,
- 30:43Speaker 1: and we knew she like we really knew last week
- 30:46Speaker 1: she was going to end up with Tina, which also
- 30:47Speaker 1: like kind of makes me feel like the whole Aven
- 30:49Speaker 1: thing was like a big, like over exaggeration, like she
- 30:53Speaker 1: just didn't want him to leave because she said to him,
- 30:55Speaker 1: I'm falling in love with you, and she said to Tino,
- 30:58Speaker 1: I am in love with you. It was like so different.
- 31:01Speaker 1: We knew that she was gonna pick Tina. Um. But anyway,
- 31:05Speaker 1: so there's one guy left, and in the scenes we
- 31:07Speaker 1: see that she says like, oh my god, Gabby, how
- 31:10Speaker 1: exciting this is. We get to um get engaged today
- 31:13Speaker 1: to the loves of our lives, like they're perfect men.
- 31:16Speaker 1: We're getting engaged. Like yeah, Rachel is very very focused
- 31:19Speaker 1: on the engagement. And then we see her and Tino
- 31:25Speaker 1: in like big fight, and if I'm using my bachelor's senses,
- 31:31Speaker 1: the fight looks like it may have occurred at a
- 31:33Speaker 1: different time and place, just because they look a little different,
- 31:36Speaker 1: you know, his hairs a little longer, So possibly they
- 31:41Speaker 1: do get engaged. And then this fight is afterward a
- 31:45Speaker 1: law of Becca and Ari or a Hannah and Jed,
- 31:51Speaker 1: so we'll see, but we'd still get no previews of
- 31:55Speaker 1: like a knee down or anything like that for either
- 31:59Speaker 1: a the girls, we see Gabby. We only see Gabby
- 32:04Speaker 1: at the altar, you know, in her dress, waiting for
- 32:09Speaker 1: a man to approach. I thought we said, no we
- 32:11Speaker 1: saw Rachel. We do we see Rachel alter situation. Maybe
- 32:17Speaker 1: it's just because I keep thinking about Gabby's adorable like
- 32:20Speaker 1: Mexican theme dress. Oh yeah, but Rachel was there? Okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Uh so basically seen the next episode. Do you take
- 32:30Speaker 1: anything away that I missed? Uh? No, I think your
- 32:34Speaker 1: spot on. I think we can assume that something happened.
- 32:38Speaker 1: We should make a lot of sense for again, why
- 32:40Speaker 1: Tino's dad is outspoken against Rachel. Um, we can assume
- 32:45Speaker 1: that based on the facial expressions, uh, that Gabby is
- 32:49Speaker 1: still very happy? Um? Can we? Gabby seemed very happy
- 32:54Speaker 1: last night when she's yeah in the little square, the
- 32:58Speaker 1: Yellow Square. Okay, that's like a whole other thing we
- 33:00Speaker 1: should talk about last episode. Last night's episode, we saw
- 33:05Speaker 1: the girl's facial expressions throughout almost the entire show. This
- 33:10Speaker 1: little Yellow Bucks where we've got a live feed of
- 33:13Speaker 1: them watching themselves. Now, it's fun in the certain in
- 33:19Speaker 1: the sense that like we get to see like all
- 33:23Speaker 1: the reactions, right, we get to see like how they
- 33:26Speaker 1: are watching this bag. You're looking for all these um
- 33:30Speaker 1: like body language signs that will give us teasers as
- 33:35Speaker 1: to what's to come. But at the same time, it
- 33:38Speaker 1: might be like a little that's fun to try to
- 33:41Speaker 1: figure out somebod's facial expressions. You know. I do that
- 33:43Speaker 1: here when they come on the show, and I like
- 33:44Speaker 1: try to say the guy's name and see if they smile.
- 33:48Speaker 1: But it's also like a little spoiling because we see
- 33:51Speaker 1: the entire time that Rachel looks miserable. She didn't crack
- 33:55Speaker 1: a smile. Okay, maybe she cracked a smile, but she
- 33:57Speaker 1: cracked fake smiles. Whenever Rachel would smile, you knew it
- 34:03Speaker 1: was like so for the cameras most for the most part,
- 34:08Speaker 1: she's she watched that episode with a straight face, if
- 34:13Speaker 1: not a frownie face. Like that is not a happy
- 34:17Speaker 1: girl right now. That is not a girl who wants
- 34:19Speaker 1: to like next week to happen, you know what I mean.
- 34:23Speaker 1: You know, like when you have something that you dread
- 34:24Speaker 1: and you're like, oh my god, that day it's there,
- 34:26Speaker 1: it's lingering, and I'm dreading it, like I'm counting, like
- 34:31Speaker 1: I'm savoring every hour until we get to that day.
- 34:34Speaker 1: I feel like that's how she feels about the finale.
- 34:37Speaker 1: So yeah, I don't think Guarantino are together anymore, but
- 34:39Speaker 1: we'll see. And then Ben Ben mentions that Gabby is
- 34:43Speaker 1: smiling the entire time. I think Gabby is overall just
- 34:47Speaker 1: a little bit more happy, go lucky in comparison to Rachel.
- 34:51Speaker 1: But I wouldn't say she looks her happiest. Yeah, I
- 34:57Speaker 1: guess I read it as Gabby was trying I mean,
- 35:01Speaker 1: in comparison, Yeah, I read it as Gabby was trying
- 35:04Speaker 1: to be there for Rachel last night. If great, Gabby
- 35:06Speaker 1: was very happy knowing what this episode looked like to Rachel,
- 35:10Speaker 1: and she was just like, ah, this is so good
- 35:12Speaker 1: for me, sorry, buddy, like sucks for you, like she said,
- 35:16Speaker 1: she made the comment when I'm a good when you're
- 35:17Speaker 1: a good friend, when you're actually friends with somebody, when
- 35:20Speaker 1: they hurt, you hurt, and she already knows some sweet
- 35:23Speaker 1: how this plays out. So I just I didn't. I mean,
- 35:27Speaker 1: I think Gabby's fine. She seems very at peace, very confident.
- 35:31Speaker 1: I mean, look at the end of the episode. Actually,
- 35:33Speaker 1: if you haven't got a chance go watch the very
- 35:35Speaker 1: end of the episode where Jesse signing off and the
- 35:37Speaker 1: two bachelors are staying there. Tell me which one you
- 35:40Speaker 1: if you didn't know anything about this season and you
- 35:42Speaker 1: looked at that scene, like which one seems happy and
- 35:44Speaker 1: which one doesn't. One seems like she's still happy she
- 35:48Speaker 1: got the experience, and one seems that she was like,
- 35:52Speaker 1: I wish she never did this. That's what I'm thinking.
- 35:55Speaker 1: I think Gabby like she's also on Dancing with the Stars.
- 35:57Speaker 1: She's still getting like cool opportunities. So is I don't
- 36:00Speaker 1: know that she's I think she's just happy to be there,
- 36:03Speaker 1: even if she's not happy in a relationship. That's just
- 36:05Speaker 1: my interpretation of it. But I also just to pick
- 36:07Speaker 1: up a little body language queue. When we went into
- 36:11Speaker 1: the scene of Eric clarifying to Gabby that he wasn't
- 36:17Speaker 1: also ready for an engagement, I saw Rachel put her
- 36:21Speaker 1: hand on Gabby as if like I'm here for you
- 36:24Speaker 1: for this now interesting. Yeah, okay, so let's get into
- 36:28Speaker 1: Eric and Gabby. Yeah, let's take a quick break before that,
- 36:32Speaker 1: all right, we'll be right back. So the Eric and
- 36:44Speaker 1: Gabby situation, Ashley, how is this situation different than Avan
- 36:49Speaker 1: and Rachel, because Eric pretty much does and says something
- 36:54Speaker 1: very similar is I can't Well, first off, the whole
- 36:58Speaker 1: date itself very sweet up until the moment where they're
- 37:01Speaker 1: kissing and she's like I can't wait and blah blah blah,
- 37:03Speaker 1: and then he says he says a line the music stops.
- 37:06Speaker 1: It gets super awkward just watching on television where he's like, um,
- 37:11Speaker 1: like I can't wait to just like be with you
- 37:13Speaker 1: after this or something like he hinted at not proposing
- 37:17Speaker 1: to her then and she date you in the real world, Yeah,
- 37:21Speaker 1: date you in the real world, and she pulled back yeah,
- 37:24Speaker 1: and was like, oh no, what me? But then but
- 37:32Speaker 1: then it felt like there was like, um, a mutual
- 37:35Speaker 1: understanding I don't know, for a while, but then it
- 37:37Speaker 1: kind of ended abruptly and Gabby was upset. So I
- 37:44Speaker 1: guess two questions for you, actually, what made this different
- 37:47Speaker 1: than Aven? And why? What did it not feel as contentious?
- 37:51Speaker 1: And then where do you think this goes? And what
- 37:53Speaker 1: do you think we're actually watching? Okay, so I think
- 37:56Speaker 1: it's probably different than even Once again, I do think
- 37:59Speaker 1: that like a and has like a certain like warmth
- 38:02Speaker 1: and wonderful communication style. I think we've seen the communication
- 38:07Speaker 1: between Gabby and Eric not be always perfect before, so
- 38:11Speaker 1: now here's like another moment. Then. I also think it's
- 38:16Speaker 1: different because he's her final one. He was the one
- 38:20Speaker 1: who made a big point last week about her not
- 38:23Speaker 1: wanting to really do fantasy sweeps with the other guys,
- 38:26Speaker 1: and now here he is as the final guy after
- 38:28Speaker 1: exchanging I love us and like, okay, this is gonna
- 38:31Speaker 1: be happily ever after with us two. Um oh yeah,
- 38:36Speaker 1: Like I'm the last guy and I still don't really
- 38:39Speaker 1: want to propose to you. So that's the that's the difference.
- 38:44Speaker 1: I think she doesn't really have any other options on
- 38:47Speaker 1: the table. But I also think it's the communication thing.
- 38:50Speaker 1: It's just like, wait a second, what's another time that
- 38:53Speaker 1: we have not seen eye to eye, another time that
- 38:56Speaker 1: you haven't told me exactly how you feel. Yeah, well,
- 39:05Speaker 1: the family, like we also we breathed over the family situation.
- 39:07Speaker 1: The family liked him, what is I you know? Yeah,
- 39:11Speaker 1: his family just seems super sweet and like they're going
- 39:14Speaker 1: to be supportive either way. And Grandpa had already met him.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I don't know that grand I mean, Grandpa says that
- 39:20Speaker 1: he likes him. I don't think Grandpa is always sold. Yeah,
- 39:24Speaker 1: I don't think Grandpa is totally sold. I think he
- 39:26Speaker 1: was like Eric, Eric, the guy that I met, he's
- 39:28Speaker 1: the final one. This this is also me assuming what's
- 39:31Speaker 1: going on in Grandpa's mind whatever. I'm just assuming. But
- 39:34Speaker 1: to me, the entire time, I have not been sold
- 39:37Speaker 1: on Eric. For her, I have not been. We had
- 39:40Speaker 1: that one moment at his house where I was like, oh,
- 39:44Speaker 1: this is so emotional and bonding. But other than that,
- 39:47Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't really feel it. I when
- 39:51Speaker 1: it comes to Grandpa John, I think he is handling
- 39:53Speaker 1: this situation just like any family member should. He's supportive,
- 39:58Speaker 1: he's asking a good questions, he's making sure that he's
- 40:00Speaker 1: seeing the situation for what it is. But he's also
- 40:03Speaker 1: not stepping in the way of stuff that he doesn't
- 40:06Speaker 1: know anything about, Like he's not stepping in the way
- 40:08Speaker 1: of a process, or he's not stepping in the way
- 40:11Speaker 1: of Gabby's feelings. He's listening and he's saying, Hey, I'm
- 40:14Speaker 1: just happy that my Gabby, my ding bat is so like,
- 40:18Speaker 1: is so good right now? You know this Eric guy,
- 40:22Speaker 1: he's he if Gabby is into him and he's into her,
- 40:26Speaker 1: then like my own personal opinions of what she should
- 40:29Speaker 1: be dating doesn't really matter because it's making her happy.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Grandpa John has handled from last season of this season
- 40:37Speaker 1: the show perfectly. I mean, he's gone on dates and
- 40:41Speaker 1: he's been funny and he's laughing, he's been himself. He's
- 40:43Speaker 1: gone to hometowns and now to family visits and he
- 40:46Speaker 1: he's still just you can tell he has wisdom under
- 40:50Speaker 1: his belt. That's what comes with age. I think if
- 40:52Speaker 1: you let it, and uh, I think he's shined. I
- 40:57Speaker 1: don't think you'd ever get out of him if he
- 41:00Speaker 1: wasn't into Eric or not. I don't think that. I don't.
- 41:03Speaker 1: I think if he had like some big red flags, maybe,
- 41:05Speaker 1: but just like his own personal preference based on what
- 41:07Speaker 1: he knows in a very short period of time, I
- 41:09Speaker 1: just don't think he seems like the type of guy
- 41:12Speaker 1: that would be outspoken on stuff he does not know
- 41:14Speaker 1: much about. You're that was so well put, Ben, so
- 41:18Speaker 1: well put? How do you fail about Eric and Gabby?
- 41:21Speaker 1: I keep saying that, like, I'm not sold on Eric,
- 41:23Speaker 1: but I don't hear about What do you think about Eric? Yeah?
- 41:25Speaker 1: I think I actually I'm a fan of it. Uh
- 41:28Speaker 1: I think up until this point, I didn't know really
- 41:34Speaker 1: Eric's feelings towards Gabby. I'm very interesting. I think I'll
- 41:39Speaker 1: be able to tell you confidently obviously after next week.
- 41:42Speaker 1: I just I want Eric and it comes to this
- 41:46Speaker 1: relationship if he's really into Gabby, to show that he's
- 41:48Speaker 1: really into Gabby, um, you know, to say it, to
- 41:53Speaker 1: show it. It doesn't feel like any of the guys
- 41:56Speaker 1: really in the final six are like intenly pursuing the
- 42:02Speaker 1: bachelorette other than Tino. Tino seemed very confident and sold out.
- 42:06Speaker 1: You know, you might like it or not, but he
- 42:08Speaker 1: seems very confident that Rachel is the person for him.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Nobody else on either side is like really that, like
- 42:16Speaker 1: I can't imagine a day without you type emotion, uh,
- 42:21Speaker 1: which usually we see we see tears with people getting
- 42:25Speaker 1: broken up with We see tears in these final weeks
- 42:27Speaker 1: because people are so like their hearts are breaking, because
- 42:31Speaker 1: they're so in love. We're not seeing that. It just
- 42:34Speaker 1: feels like all these people are out there, like I
- 42:36Speaker 1: Love Island, just to kind of date and see if
- 42:38Speaker 1: they end up at the end together, which again I'm
- 42:41Speaker 1: okay with. I just want to know what we missed
- 42:45Speaker 1: this season or what the bachelorettes missed or what the
- 42:47Speaker 1: cast members missed were like, everybody's so okay not really
- 42:52Speaker 1: diving into these relationships because yeah, like Eric, you can
- 42:56Speaker 1: get we seemed great together, but we don't know much
- 42:57Speaker 1: about how he feels yet. The only thing we know
- 42:59Speaker 1: now is that he's not He's like once the date,
- 43:01Speaker 1: he just cool too. But I just keep thinking with Eric,
- 43:07Speaker 1: she keeps saying, I feel so honored to be loved
- 43:13Speaker 1: by a man like Eric. Just repeats over and over again,
- 43:17Speaker 1: and I'm like, Okay, I don't see like necessarily the
- 43:22Speaker 1: character that you're talking about based on you know, on
- 43:24Speaker 1: the show, not to say that it doesn't exist, just
- 43:26Speaker 1: like I haven't really like seen why it's so incredible,
- 43:29Speaker 1: Like I can kind of I would be okay with
- 43:33Speaker 1: Rachel saying that about even that would make sense to me,
- 43:36Speaker 1: but like, I don't haven't seen anything with with Eric.
- 43:41Speaker 1: It's just you too, like he should be saying like
- 43:45Speaker 1: I can't believe that a girl like Gabby would want
- 43:48Speaker 1: to be with me. Yeah I'm so lucky. Um, yeah,
- 43:53Speaker 1: I agree. It's also weird. Maybe I was just reading
- 43:57Speaker 1: into it when she came to the door, he like
- 43:59Speaker 1: tried to kiss her in the cheese. I don't know
- 44:01Speaker 1: if you saw that, but that feels it feels like
- 44:05Speaker 1: odd for somebody you're in love with. Is like when
- 44:06Speaker 1: you haven't seen him in a few days and they
- 44:08Speaker 1: show up to your door and you give a little
- 44:10Speaker 1: kiss on the cheek. Yeah. I don't know, just a
- 44:13Speaker 1: small note. Well leading into next week, Ashley, Uh, we've
- 44:19Speaker 1: now have all the family visits completed. We had the
- 44:24Speaker 1: episode last night where it's like semi live, semi filmed.
- 44:29Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if people and I
- 44:31Speaker 1: don't know nowadays if people just really enjoy hating on
- 44:34Speaker 1: the show, if that's why they watch it, or if
- 44:37Speaker 1: like they really just didn't enjoy last night's episode. But
- 44:39Speaker 1: it feels like for the last couple of weeks people
- 44:41Speaker 1: are more negative towards the whole show and not just
- 44:45Speaker 1: towards like the villain, which used to be the case.
- 44:48Speaker 1: I don't know if that will change. I don't know
- 44:51Speaker 1: where we go from here when it comes to the show,
- 44:53Speaker 1: But it felt like last night's episode kind of missed
- 44:55Speaker 1: or majorly missed on on a lot of the topics
- 44:59Speaker 1: that were being done uh, and it just kind of
- 45:02Speaker 1: felt like, again I I watched it, and I could
- 45:04Speaker 1: be wrong, and I preferace this was saying that Jesse
- 45:08Speaker 1: I think has done a great job. I felt like
- 45:10Speaker 1: last night Jesse Palmer was was not believable. I didn't
- 45:14Speaker 1: watch him and go, you are the unbiased console and
- 45:19Speaker 1: host of this show who is helping clarify things that
- 45:23Speaker 1: are unclarifiable to the viewer. I feel like last night
- 45:27Speaker 1: he had an agenda that he was probably um given
- 45:30Speaker 1: and he was trying to get us to complete that
- 45:32Speaker 1: and to believe in this agenda, and I just don't
- 45:34Speaker 1: think it worked, which made me go, I don't know.
- 45:37Speaker 1: I As a result, about halfway through those little like
- 45:40Speaker 1: live breakouts, I was like, I don't want to need
- 45:42Speaker 1: to watch this, Like this is just this is bogus
- 45:44Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, I will say that there are moments
- 45:49Speaker 1: where I was like, that question definitely came from an earpiece. Yeah,
- 45:54Speaker 1: it fell off. So we do look forward to next week.
- 45:58Speaker 1: There's a lot to break down. I'm interested in what
- 46:01Speaker 1: this whole Tina Rachel scenario looks like. I want them
- 46:05Speaker 1: both happy. I'm still in the UH in the camp
- 46:10Speaker 1: of both of them. I don't think this was Rachel's
- 46:13Speaker 1: best episode. I don't think. I think we're really confused
- 46:18Speaker 1: on why she handled the things she did the way
- 46:20Speaker 1: she did. But I want them both walking out of
- 46:23Speaker 1: this happy and so let's see if that leads last week.
- 46:25Speaker 1: The only reason I would say I think they're both
- 46:27Speaker 1: doing okay is because there's no way they would have
- 46:30Speaker 1: a teaser that dramatic and that full of tears unless
- 46:33Speaker 1: this ends with a happy ending or they're just you
- 46:36Speaker 1: don't think I don't think that Rachel's happy based on
- 46:39Speaker 1: her facial expressions. I can't do it. I can't do it,
- 46:43Speaker 1: but you might be right about Gabby and I hope so.
- 46:45Speaker 1: And then, what's up with this interactive fan experience that
- 46:47Speaker 1: is going to change everything? What do you think that
- 46:50Speaker 1: is interact? Oh my god, oh MG, it just popped
- 46:55Speaker 1: in my head when you asked the question. I think
- 46:57Speaker 1: that maybe they'll do a vote on who should be bad,
- 47:00Speaker 1: perfect love it? I think they should. Why not? They
- 47:04Speaker 1: should let's bring Bachelor Nation in. They'd have to have
- 47:07Speaker 1: these guys contracted and all ready to go, and then
- 47:10Speaker 1: they'd have to be like, Okay, of these four guys,
- 47:13Speaker 1: who do you want to be the bachelor. That would
- 47:14Speaker 1: be the best thing ever. That would be sick. Oh
- 47:17Speaker 1: my god, let's go. Let's go. You heard it here
- 47:21Speaker 1: first on the Almost Famous podcast. We believe that they
- 47:24Speaker 1: are going to let us vote on who will be
- 47:26Speaker 1: the next Bachelor, and that to us sounds like a
- 47:29Speaker 1: great idea. Hey, Ashley, it's time for bachelor headlines. We
- 47:34Speaker 1: have a lot of them today. Um so let's take
- 47:35Speaker 1: a break and we come back. We're gonna break down
- 47:37Speaker 1: all the things going on in Bachelor Nation. It's a lot.
- 47:51Speaker 1: First headline is this Bachelor Nation's Nate, who was with
- 47:55Speaker 1: at one point Michelle admits the way he broke up
- 47:58Speaker 1: with Michelle Young was a and I quote dick move.
- 48:02Speaker 1: This according to e Okay, So, Nate was on Nick's
- 48:07Speaker 1: podcast last week, and he really spilled a lot of guts.
- 48:11Speaker 1: I write a lot of the articles that recapped the
- 48:15Speaker 1: podcast saw I'm a friend Nick and did not listen.
- 48:20Speaker 1: But Nate said these are the big quotes that came
- 48:23Speaker 1: out of it. Okay. He said his relationship with her
- 48:26Speaker 1: was rough. There were a lot of ups and downs,
- 48:28Speaker 1: a lot of arguments and fights and not really clicking,
- 48:30Speaker 1: not really seeing eye to eye. There was a moment
- 48:34Speaker 1: in January where like they almost basically broke up and
- 48:38Speaker 1: they got through, and then there was a whole bunch
- 48:41Speaker 1: of controversy speculation about what was going on when they
- 48:44Speaker 1: attended Wango Tango, which was actually like with us, you know,
- 48:48Speaker 1: it's an I heeart thing. Um. Basically they were not
- 48:52Speaker 1: broken up at Windo Tango. That was a trip where
- 48:56Speaker 1: they were going to celebrate her birthday. They're going to
- 48:59Speaker 1: go the con, sir, but things are really rocky, and
- 49:01Speaker 1: he even admits he's like, you go and watch press
- 49:04Speaker 1: interviews of us at like the concert, I am not
- 49:10Speaker 1: really present, Like you can just tell I'm not present
- 49:13Speaker 1: because things are really awkward. So they were having really
- 49:16Speaker 1: deep conversations about like their compatibility at this point, and
- 49:23Speaker 1: they end up breaking up finally, or he kind of
- 49:26Speaker 1: breaks up with her over a phone call. And this
- 49:31Speaker 1: is Afterway and Go Tango. The phone call was about
- 49:34Speaker 1: them going to c m A Fest in Nashville the
- 49:40Speaker 1: following week, and they're like at both at airports and
- 49:44Speaker 1: they're trying to figure out their schedule and she says, Hey,
- 49:49Speaker 1: if we're not doing c m A Fest this next week,
- 49:52Speaker 1: we have to give them a reason why. And then
- 49:55Speaker 1: he goes, I just blurted out we're not doing c
- 49:58Speaker 1: m as because I can't be with you anymore. He goes, so, yeah,
- 50:03Speaker 1: I broke up with her over the phone, which is
- 50:06Speaker 1: a dick move. Uh yeah. So he also continues to
- 50:12Speaker 1: talk about how like she says she said to us
- 50:16Speaker 1: and she said to Caitlin on her podcast that she
- 50:18Speaker 1: was blindsided by the split the split. But he goes,
- 50:21Speaker 1: I don't know how you could feel blindsided, um, when
- 50:25Speaker 1: like there were just so many conversations about her incompatibility,
- 50:29Speaker 1: how he almost broke up so many times. But she
- 50:32Speaker 1: keep But he then says, like, you can't tell somebody
- 50:34Speaker 1: how to feel. So that's how she felt. I can't
- 50:36Speaker 1: take that away from her. But I know that the
- 50:39Speaker 1: reality of it is that this wasn't our first time
- 50:43Speaker 1: talking about the breakup. Cool wow, hard and heavy stuff.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Heavy stuff, I mean the phone. I don't know. I've
- 50:51Speaker 1: broken up with somebody over the phone before. I've been
- 50:53Speaker 1: broken up with over the phone before. Yeah, I don't know.
- 50:58Speaker 1: I mean, it's not a good move, it's not the
- 51:00Speaker 1: best move. But breaking up in general is just so
- 51:03Speaker 1: weird and hard and difficult that if you can even
- 51:06Speaker 1: get to the point of doing it, I'm like, all right, now,
- 51:08Speaker 1: there's better ways to do it than others. So, uh,
- 51:11Speaker 1: he did spill his beans. If you want to hear
- 51:12Speaker 1: the whole thing, you can listen to Nick's podcast. Next
- 51:16Speaker 1: headline is this This one is. Um has made a
- 51:19Speaker 1: lot of headlines this week, and I know, uh yeah,
- 51:25Speaker 1: it's it feels like it did not become as prevalent
- 51:30Speaker 1: of a story as it would have a year ago.
- 51:33Speaker 1: And I don't know why, but here's the headline. The
- 51:37Speaker 1: Bachelor at Start, Eric, who is still with Gavy, apologized
- 51:41Speaker 1: for black face photo from high school yearbook. This according
- 51:43Speaker 1: to Deadline. Yeah, so in the high school yearbook, he's
- 51:46Speaker 1: twenty nine. So do the math of his you know,
- 51:49Speaker 1: a decade ago. Basically that there was a picture of
- 51:53Speaker 1: him dressed up. I think it's a gym. I think
- 51:55Speaker 1: it's a Jimmy Hendrix costume or something, and the quote
- 52:01Speaker 1: next to it is it was well, there's like really
- 52:03Speaker 1: no context. It looks like it was like, obviously obviously
- 52:07Speaker 1: it was a costume. Um, but he goes. So it
- 52:11Speaker 1: started circulating on the internet. People were like, this is
- 52:14Speaker 1: this is Eric from The Bachelor in his yearbook a
- 52:17Speaker 1: decade ago. Um, So he apologized. He went on Instagram
- 52:22Speaker 1: and said, I wholeheartedly apologize for the insensitive photo of
- 52:26Speaker 1: me in black face from my high school yearbook that
- 52:28Speaker 1: has been circulating. What I thought at the time was,
- 52:32Speaker 1: um yeah, representation of my love for Jimmy Jimmy Hendricks.
- 52:35Speaker 1: It was nothing but ignorance. I was naive to the
- 52:40Speaker 1: I was naive to the hurtful implications of my actions
- 52:44Speaker 1: to the black community and those closest to me, and
- 52:47Speaker 1: I will forever regret my offensive and damaging behavior. I
- 52:50Speaker 1: am deeply ashamed by my actions and understand that my
- 52:54Speaker 1: apology is only the first step in taking accountability. Uh
- 53:00Speaker 1: it's interesting to me, outside of all this, that a
- 53:03Speaker 1: yearbook would put it in the year I mean, this
- 53:05Speaker 1: isn't just a photo. This is something like there was
- 53:07Speaker 1: editors and there was a school approval where this picture
- 53:10Speaker 1: was posted in the yearbook. Um you know which. My
- 53:16Speaker 1: maces make us ask more questions, But that's the headline.
- 53:20Speaker 1: He has apologized again. If I wouldn't be on those
- 53:24Speaker 1: Bachelor like scoop pages, I would have never known this
- 53:28Speaker 1: was happening. This is. I don't know if that's a
- 53:30Speaker 1: telling fact of where the Bachelor's that today or if
- 53:32Speaker 1: it's just the way things are, but it is a
- 53:35Speaker 1: big deal. It's I think what you're saying her, if
- 53:39Speaker 1: I reading between the lines, is we had this huge controversy,
- 53:46Speaker 1: huge with Rachel and Matt, you know, with her and
- 53:50Speaker 1: a plant you know, and at a plantation in address,
- 53:54Speaker 1: and then this doesn't make huge headlines. This doesn't rock
- 53:58Speaker 1: interesting to me, Like why the question be why anyways? Uh?
- 54:03Speaker 1: New Dancing with the Stars competitor Gabby Bachelor at Gabby
- 54:07Speaker 1: reflects on her Bachelor experience as Rachelson's love from afar
- 54:13Speaker 1: this according to people, so obviously she's very excited um
- 54:19Speaker 1: about being on Dancing with the Star. She says it's
- 54:20Speaker 1: gonna be different in a good way. She says she
- 54:22Speaker 1: feels she feels lucky enough to have this momentum. I
- 54:28Speaker 1: think I grew so much over the past two seasons
- 54:30Speaker 1: that now I really get to challenge myself in a
- 54:32Speaker 1: different way. I think there's gonna be a lot of
- 54:35Speaker 1: actual vulnerability that comes to this position because nobody knows
- 54:39Speaker 1: what they're doing. Um, plus you have to perform live
- 54:43Speaker 1: so She says she feels like she's had good building
- 54:46Speaker 1: blocks for this. It's gonna be interesting to watch Gabby
- 54:50Speaker 1: on Dancing with the Stars. We will be watching. It's
- 54:53Speaker 1: gonna be streaming this year and streaming only. Alfonso Roberto
- 54:56Speaker 1: joins Tire Banks as a host the cast. This looks
- 55:00Speaker 1: pretty good to me, surprising because um, you know, it
- 55:04Speaker 1: is streaming. I thought they would have a little drop off.
- 55:06Speaker 1: But this is a pretty good group of people compared
- 55:08Speaker 1: to what they've been able to get in the past.
- 55:09Speaker 1: And we'll be rooting on Gabby. Uh from at least
- 55:12Speaker 1: the comfort of my couch. Jared and I were saying
- 55:15Speaker 1: that yesterday, we were like, wow, this cast is really
- 55:17Speaker 1: great for the switchover exactly. Well, big headline this week
- 55:22Speaker 1: is Bachelor at season twelve alum James McCoy Taylor arrested
- 55:26Speaker 1: for du yeah d w I and carrying a weapon.
- 55:32Speaker 1: This according to US Weekly, Actually, what's happening here? Somewhere
- 55:37Speaker 1: in here two he was with an eighteen year old girl,
- 55:39Speaker 1: I believe, right exactly. Um, well, James Sailor has a
- 55:43Speaker 1: whole bunch of tweets if you want to read his
- 55:47Speaker 1: response to the arrest. But right, now we are just
- 55:50Speaker 1: going to respond. Um, we are just going to tell
- 55:53Speaker 1: you the facts that we have from us weekly. Um. So, yes,
- 55:58Speaker 1: he was arrested at the College Point police station. That's
- 56:04Speaker 1: because he was in a college area. He was actually
- 56:07Speaker 1: supposedly driving a girl back to her dorm, an eighteen
- 56:12Speaker 1: year old back to her dorm um when he was
- 56:16Speaker 1: pulled over for a drunk driving and then while the
- 56:20Speaker 1: car was being searched, our weapon was found in the car.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Uh he I believe. He says that it was his
- 56:29Speaker 1: his dad's UM. But yeah, So he was released on bond,
- 56:35Speaker 1: and he has been held under two separate um accounts.
- 56:39Speaker 1: One was a two thousand dollar fine for his d
- 56:42Speaker 1: w I and then there's a four thousand dollar bond
- 56:46Speaker 1: for his possession up the firearm. And yeah, that's all
- 56:51Speaker 1: we can really share right now. Yeah, I'm reading his
- 56:55Speaker 1: tweets as we speak, like I there, yeah, yeah, I
- 57:03Speaker 1: mean yeah there. You can read him for what you want. Um.
- 57:08Speaker 1: He says that he thinks the girl was of age,
- 57:10Speaker 1: I mean eighteen, Like I do believe like she's of age.
- 57:13Speaker 1: It just looks like pretty bad to be I mean,
- 57:17Speaker 1: she's not off drinking age, but of like conceexual consent
- 57:20Speaker 1: and we don't want to even that's I'm just again,
- 57:23Speaker 1: we don't know what they were doing together in the car.
- 57:27Speaker 1: He was with an eightier mural driving her back to
- 57:29Speaker 1: the dorm. That's all we know. Um, it's just is
- 57:33Speaker 1: a bad look. This is a bad look. Yeah. I
- 57:35Speaker 1: mean he's trying well, but he's drunk driving and that's
- 57:42Speaker 1: on Twitter. He's just trying to get everybody. Like he said,
- 57:45Speaker 1: people are gonna hate. I'm sure they are, but he's
- 57:47Speaker 1: trying to just convince people of another story. You can
- 57:51Speaker 1: read it. But as far as we know, he got
- 57:55Speaker 1: a d w I, he was arrested, he did p
- 57:57Speaker 1: by his truck. He did admit that at least. Uh.
- 58:00Speaker 1: And that's how the headlines we got for your Day.
- 58:02Speaker 1: So Ashley, We'll be back next week breaking down the
- 58:06Speaker 1: final finale of this season. It's final finale. It's gonna
- 58:11Speaker 1: be three hours. Um. People are talking about the three
- 58:16Speaker 1: hours and how they can possibly do three hours after

- 58:23Speaker 1: I don't know. It's going to be something, but it
