- 0:05Speaker 1: NFL Now is a production of the NFL in partnership
- 0:08Speaker 1: with I Heart Radio, Row Get off My Job, touchdown
- 0:17Speaker 1: to all out, Sam Hubbard scooped it up and Ramball
- 0:21Speaker 1: Length took a pill. Somebody get the fire extinguisher. Just
- 0:26Speaker 1: the knocks as hot as the fire cracker. Touch down
- 0:30Speaker 1: Huts twenty three yard gets the latch by house brock
- 0:34Speaker 1: BERTI stays perfect sex and oh and three touch down fasts.
- 0:39Speaker 1: The forty nine is winning sake one Bartley on twenty
- 0:41Speaker 1: eight guards Burke touchdown, Jiants showing of the first down
- 0:44Speaker 1: as Hockinson Giants and parents. Patterson's picking up the field
- 0:48Speaker 1: goal is good good, but ten wards up wanted. They
- 0:55Speaker 1: have come back from twenty seven nothing to win the
- 1:00Speaker 1: game and move on. How good is that? How good
- 1:12Speaker 1: is that? How good is this going to be? Tonight?
- 1:16Speaker 1: The Cowboys the Bucketeers Monday Night Football to wrap up
- 1:21Speaker 1: a super wild card weekend. Is it Tom Brady's final game?
- 1:29Speaker 1: I don't just me and as a Bucketeer Steve Whitch,
- 1:32Speaker 1: I mean is it his final game? We won't know,
- 1:35Speaker 1: I mean all indication or he can still play at
- 1:37Speaker 1: a high level. But is it the final game? Overall
- 1:40Speaker 1: for the Buccaneers. We'll see I mean the good witch
- 1:42Speaker 1: and questions being asked during this game tonight about Brady,
- 1:46Speaker 1: about Mike McCarthy's future, about the will get to that
- 1:48Speaker 1: come up from the second. By the way, Welcome to
- 1:50Speaker 1: NFL Now a Monday edition. After a pretty super wild
- 1:54Speaker 1: card weekend, that is Steve Whitch. My name is andrews
- 1:57Speaker 1: Cecilian to hope you had a super duper weekend as well. Yeah,
- 2:02Speaker 1: super duper, super duper, uper duper. If you say that.
- 2:06Speaker 1: If you say that again, I'm calling you on it.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Please do I won't. I promise. Let's get to the highlights.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Can we do that? And we opened it up with
- 2:13Speaker 1: the game last night that ended the super duper weekend.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It was Row and the Bengals who came into the
- 2:20Speaker 1: game right to get eight game regular season winning streak.
- 2:22Speaker 1: They had beaten the Bengals week eight teen that they
- 2:24Speaker 1: had the early nine to nothing lead here on the
- 2:26Speaker 1: Jamaar Chase touchdown, Evan McPherson missed the extra points. Fantastic
- 2:31Speaker 1: drive finish up with number one, and a fantastic finish
- 2:34Speaker 1: to this game as well. Let's go to the fourth
- 2:36Speaker 1: quarter this is Tyler Huntley, who played well. I know
- 2:39Speaker 1: he had picked the first quarter, but Steve, for the
- 2:41Speaker 1: most part, he played well, thirty five yards down inside
- 2:44Speaker 1: the five. At this point you think they're going with you.
- 2:46Speaker 1: At this point you're like, okay, now we've really got
- 2:48Speaker 1: a game. The Ravens, we didn't think had a chance
- 2:50Speaker 1: to win it, have a chance to win it. And
- 2:52Speaker 1: then the phone on third down. Instead of going low,
- 2:56Speaker 1: he went high. The ball got knocked out by Logan
- 2:58Speaker 1: Wilson and picked up by Sam Hubbard, and Mark Andrews
- 3:01Speaker 1: is trying. That's the fastest Mark Andrews before getting blocked
- 3:03Speaker 1: in the back can ever run his career, according to
- 3:06Speaker 1: the Next Gen. But Sam Hubbard goes nine yards and
- 3:10Speaker 1: the spin look at you see right there, very short
- 3:13Speaker 1: to Kenby Mutambo. Knock out there and there's Harvard write
- 3:17Speaker 1: his hands. I mean that just fell perfectly for the
- 3:21Speaker 1: bank and there was no waving of the finger like Mutambo.
- 3:24Speaker 1: It's the longest bumble return for a touchdown in postseason history.
- 3:28Speaker 1: But the Ravens got the ball back. They forced the punt.
- 3:30Speaker 1: They converted here on fourth down on the keeper right
- 3:34Speaker 1: at the two minute warning. But then the clock pick
- 3:37Speaker 1: heptick ticking, Nick. I don't have a problem necessarily at
- 3:42Speaker 1: the clock management. It still would have been fourth in
- 3:43Speaker 1: twenty and they still almost got filmost got it. I
- 3:46Speaker 1: mean it is this close from this game going to
- 3:50Speaker 1: overtime or seeing those John Harbaugh him going for two.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Look at this right here on the hail Mary Oh,
- 3:56Speaker 1: right off the fingertips. James Brochet cannot get it and
- 4:01Speaker 1: John Harba sees it as over Joe Burrow the Bengals
- 4:03Speaker 1: big side relief. They are going to Buffalo because Josh
- 4:06Speaker 1: Allen and the Bills survived yesterday. And I think that's
- 4:10Speaker 1: the best way to say it. They were out to
- 4:12Speaker 1: the big seventeen nothing lead early and then the Dolphins
- 4:15Speaker 1: were bringing the pressure and this time it worked early
- 4:17Speaker 1: a third quarter Zack Seeler falls on the touch. Yeah,
- 4:20Speaker 1: big time play. Allen did Nazie the pressure, Common popped
- 4:23Speaker 1: it out. Got several focals against the Dolphins this year.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Three turnovers in this game for Josh Allen and the Bills. However,
- 4:30Speaker 1: they retake the lead when Cold Beasley gets in the
- 4:33Speaker 1: end zone on the six yard score. It's twenty seven
- 4:35Speaker 1: to twenty four. Then looking sister thing of beauty with
- 4:41Speaker 1: the reach, the toe tap, big Blood Gabe Davis. All
- 4:44Speaker 1: he does in the postseason is score touchdown. Skyler Thompson
- 4:48Speaker 1: made plays the two forty seventh pick in the draft,
- 4:51Speaker 1: was let down by his receivers all day. But Jeff
- 4:53Speaker 1: Wilson scores here and we have a three point game.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Look at the clock, about five to go, falls knocked out.
- 4:59Speaker 1: They almost turned it over a fourth time. Bradley Chuff
- 5:02Speaker 1: got to it, but Spencer Brown fell onto the bills
- 5:04Speaker 1: of actually have to punt now, Mike McDaniel, you have
- 5:08Speaker 1: a shot here near midfield on a fourth and one,
- 5:12Speaker 1: but he evidently didn't know his fourth down. He thought
- 5:15Speaker 1: they had gotten the first and then they take a
- 5:17Speaker 1: delay on fourth and just a brutal penalty to call again,
- 5:20Speaker 1: him saying, we thought we had the first down. You know,
- 5:24Speaker 1: you just you gotta you gotta have one ready to
- 5:25Speaker 1: go just in case. Says he was told from up
- 5:28Speaker 1: top that they had a first They eventually taken to late,
- 5:31Speaker 1: despite the fact he reset the play flock. And then
- 5:33Speaker 1: on fourth and sixth, Thompson can't hit Mike ka sick
- 5:36Speaker 1: you at a touchdown earlier that balls knocked away and
- 5:39Speaker 1: the Bills survived, Yes they did. They hang on in
- 5:43Speaker 1: with it and the people are happy thirty four to
- 5:47Speaker 1: thirty one. They are happy in New York today because
- 5:50Speaker 1: Brian Davils mentioned earlier, took a team that didn't do
- 5:53Speaker 1: anything last year and went on the road and did
- 5:55Speaker 1: what they could not do. A few weeks ago, they
- 5:58Speaker 1: beat the Vikings in Minnesota. Kirk Cousins Vota irv Smith
- 6:02Speaker 1: Fear gave the Vikings delete it to twenty four. This
- 6:06Speaker 1: is Sa Kwan, who had over a hundred yards huge day.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Sa Kwan gives the Giants the lead one to twenty four,
- 6:13Speaker 1: and then we're gonna be talking about this all off season.
- 6:16Speaker 1: You know you hate to see this. I mean, you
- 6:17Speaker 1: need you need eight yards when you check down to four.
- 6:20Speaker 1: You gotta give your planemakers a chance to get it.
- 6:22Speaker 1: You know, it's worth downs. They've got to get the
- 6:24Speaker 1: first time. I hope alive. Kirk Cousins hits t J.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Hopkinson well short of the marker, and the Giants and
- 6:30Speaker 1: Brian Dave all are smoking cigars. Afterwards. They go into
- 6:33Speaker 1: Minnesota and this time they win, which sets up Divisional
- 6:38Speaker 1: Weekend with the A f C with the early two
- 6:40Speaker 1: games and the NFC with the late. The Giants go
- 6:42Speaker 1: to Philadelphia for their third meeting this year with the
- 6:45Speaker 1: NFC East friend Eagles, and tonight it's either the Cowboys
- 6:50Speaker 1: or the Bucketeers were a right to go to San Francisco.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Let's get our insiders in here, Ian and Toma, let's
- 6:56Speaker 1: talk about that game, guys, Tom, we have heard plenty
- 7:00Speaker 1: about Mike McCarthy and his future. Jerry Jones didn't want
- 7:05Speaker 1: to go there last week. Other than saying nothing tonight
- 7:09Speaker 1: will change his view on Mike McCarthy, Well, Andrew. If
- 7:16Speaker 1: any owner in the NFL speaks his mind on a
- 7:19Speaker 1: practically daily basis, it is Jerry Jones. So at this
- 7:22Speaker 1: point head into this game, not a lot of reason
- 7:25Speaker 1: not to take Jerry at his word. Listen, Mike McCarthy
- 7:28Speaker 1: has won twelve twelve games each of the past two seasons,
- 7:31Speaker 1: first time the Cowboys have done that. Since they have
- 7:36Speaker 1: established a culture there. They are a team that, quite frankly,
- 7:40Speaker 1: is equipped to make a Super Bowl run if Dak
- 7:42Speaker 1: Prescott could turn the ball over a little less here
- 7:45Speaker 1: as we head into the postseason. Obviously, they've got a
- 7:48Speaker 1: defensive coordinator on their staff, Dan Quinn, who they think
- 7:50Speaker 1: a lot of. If they ever did make a change,
- 7:52Speaker 1: Quinn would be a logical person to turn to. But
- 7:55Speaker 1: Mike McCarthy has done a lot. As Jerry Jones said,
- 7:58Speaker 1: he would evaluate McCarthy off of way more than one game,
- 8:01Speaker 1: and to this point, it's hard to argue with the
- 8:04Speaker 1: results so far in Dallas exactly. They're here and they
- 8:07Speaker 1: are on the road because the Eagles form the division
- 8:09Speaker 1: of the Bucks, even with a losing record, won the
- 8:12Speaker 1: NFC South. All right, So there's the Cowboys side of it.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Ian undoubtably Joe and Troit. Tonight we will be talking
- 8:17Speaker 1: about Tom Brady as well. Is this his last game?
- 8:20Speaker 1: Is it his last game with the Buccaneers? What can
- 8:23Speaker 1: you add? Yeah? I would think they might mention at
- 8:27Speaker 1: a time or two, and we've all been mentioning it
- 8:29Speaker 1: really over the course of the last couple of weeks.
- 8:30Speaker 1: And we don't know for sure whether or not Tom
- 8:32Speaker 1: Brady is returning for a three season. It feels like
- 8:37Speaker 1: that's the way it's leaning, and certainly feels like another
- 8:39Speaker 1: season will make a lot of sense for Brady, especially
- 8:42Speaker 1: considering he's played pretty good, especially in crunch time over
- 8:44Speaker 1: the last couple of weeks. So where is he gonna go? Well,
- 8:46Speaker 1: he is a free agent, and I know that Tampa
- 8:48Speaker 1: Bay Buccaneers would like to have him back. He's got
- 8:50Speaker 1: a lot of affection for the owners, the Glazer family,
- 8:53Speaker 1: so that would certainly make some sense. But if he
- 8:56Speaker 1: goes out, then maybe spreads his wings a little bit
- 8:57Speaker 1: of a couple of teams to watch. You know, I
- 8:59Speaker 1: would have thought the forty Niners before brock Prity kind
- 9:03Speaker 1: of stuck his stay his claim, did that starting job.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'm not sure. That's not sure that one is available still.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans would make sense, But the one a lot
- 9:12Speaker 1: of people are talking about is the Las Vegas Raiders,
- 9:14Speaker 1: and that makes a lot of sense. You got Josh
- 9:16Speaker 1: McDaniels there, you got plenty of New England influence. They
- 9:19Speaker 1: still could draft one, so they could bring Tom Brady
- 9:21Speaker 1: in right this thing, get everyone playing well, help a
- 9:24Speaker 1: rookie learning system, and just move on from there. That
- 9:27Speaker 1: would make some sense. We'll see if Brady wants to
- 9:29Speaker 1: be all across the country away from his family too.
- 9:31Speaker 1: That's also something else to consider, and we'll see if
- 9:34Speaker 1: we have to start addressing those questions as early as
- 9:38Speaker 1: tomorrow morning, the morning after. I for the Cincinnati Bengals
- 9:42Speaker 1: not too kind on the injury front. They've already lost
- 9:44Speaker 1: Leo Collins. How bad is that Jonah Williams injury? My
- 9:49Speaker 1: understanding is Joanah Williams suffered a dislocated kneecap, which kind
- 9:53Speaker 1: of sounds familiar because he did the exact same thing
- 9:55Speaker 1: in Week five, I believe against the Baltimore raven So
- 9:59Speaker 1: I think they also played last night if memory serves,
- 10:01Speaker 1: it has been a long time ago, but Jonah Williams
- 10:04Speaker 1: as of now, is not been ruled out going forward.
- 10:06Speaker 1: It seems far fetched though that he who played this week,
- 10:09Speaker 1: But sometimes when you just located kneecap, especially a reoccurrence,
- 10:12Speaker 1: you can rehab a little and get back in a
- 10:14Speaker 1: couple of weeks. Obviously, we don't know if the Bangos
- 10:16Speaker 1: are gonna be playing in a couple of weeks, but
- 10:18Speaker 1: if they continue to advance, at least there is a
- 10:20Speaker 1: chance that jon and Williams will advance with them. Okay,
- 10:23Speaker 1: but they advanced out of Buffalo without their starting left tackle,
- 10:26Speaker 1: and they're starting right tackle and right card for that matter.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Alex Cappa, Thank you Ian, Thank you Tomy. Banged up
- 10:34Speaker 1: offensive line. Banked up offensive lines really the story for
- 10:37Speaker 1: both of these teams for a lot of the year.
- 10:39Speaker 1: As we look at Raymond James and we get ready
- 10:41Speaker 1: for Monday Night Football, the Cowboys and the Bucketeers, a
- 10:45Speaker 1: rematch from Week one. We spoke before about the Bucks
- 10:47Speaker 1: getting Ryan Jensen back. Let's start our coverage this time
- 10:51Speaker 1: with Sarah Walsh and Jane Slater. Jane with the Cowboys
- 10:54Speaker 1: also some positive injury news. Yeah, we talked in the
- 10:58Speaker 1: last hour. The big thing for the offensive line was
- 11:01Speaker 1: obviously getting Tyler Beyondest, but we haven't focused enough on
- 11:03Speaker 1: defensively some of the pieces that they're getting back. One
- 11:06Speaker 1: of the key there is Jonathan Hankins, their defensive tackle.
- 11:09Speaker 1: He was a bit of a run stopper for them,
- 11:11Speaker 1: and when you look at what Leonard Fournette was able
- 11:13Speaker 1: to do against the run d in Week one, he's
- 11:16Speaker 1: good to have back as well as Late and vander
- 11:18Speaker 1: ash who wears the green dot for this team, and
- 11:20Speaker 1: a lot of people say what's huge about him is
- 11:22Speaker 1: he's a veteran guy that can diagnose plays but also
- 11:25Speaker 1: get a lot of the plays out to the other
- 11:26Speaker 1: players quick so they're getting him back. And then, as
- 11:29Speaker 1: expected we talked about this all week, Cowboys went out
- 11:32Speaker 1: and acquired a corner to play opposite Trayvon Diggs. Losing
- 11:36Speaker 1: Anthony Brown Jordan Lewis has hurt them as of late,
- 11:39Speaker 1: looks like Xavier Rhodes is coming up from the practice
- 11:41Speaker 1: squad and as expected, he is expected to get quite
- 11:44Speaker 1: a bit of playing time. He was asked this week
- 11:46Speaker 1: if he's ready to play after just such a short
- 11:48Speaker 1: time in Dallas. He said if he wasn't, he wouldn't
- 11:50Speaker 1: be here. Okay, Savir Rhodes who just came over last
- 11:54Speaker 1: week and now being thrown onto the field potentially tonight
- 11:57Speaker 1: here for the Cowboys. Sarah, you're there all the time
- 12:00Speaker 1: with the Bucketeers way in here. What's your two cents
- 12:03Speaker 1: on the whole Brady last game thing. Well, I want
- 12:06Speaker 1: to sort of pickyback on some of the things that
- 12:07Speaker 1: I just heard you and Ian talk about, and like,
- 12:09Speaker 1: let's just say that the Bucks don't win this game tonight,
- 12:12Speaker 1: and that would be something that would be addressed tomorrow.
- 12:13Speaker 1: And the reality is is it wouldn't be addressed tomorrow
- 12:15Speaker 1: because I think tom is going to let this thing
- 12:17Speaker 1: play out. We know from mostly comments that he said
- 12:20Speaker 1: on his own podcast that when he if and when
- 12:22Speaker 1: he decides to retire, he would be really sure about it,
- 12:25Speaker 1: which means I think he's going to take his time.
- 12:27Speaker 1: But I can tell you when he talks on a
- 12:29Speaker 1: weekly basis here in Tampa and it's every Thursday, you
- 12:32Speaker 1: don't get the sense this year he is not being
- 12:34Speaker 1: peppered with questions about is this the end? He is
- 12:38Speaker 1: so solely focused on extending this season that there's just
- 12:41Speaker 1: not a lot of insight where I feel like last
- 12:43Speaker 1: year there were more of these reflective questions looking back
- 12:46Speaker 1: at his career, and yet he's a year older and
- 12:48Speaker 1: he's not really getting those. What we do know statistically
- 12:51Speaker 1: at this Buccaneers offense has not been as dominant, has
- 12:54Speaker 1: not been as dynamic as it was certainly last year
- 12:56Speaker 1: or the season before that. But then you look at
- 12:58Speaker 1: what this team did just two weeks ago, and once
- 13:01Speaker 1: again it was sort of a blast from the past.
- 13:02Speaker 1: It was Tom Brady and Mike Evans thrown at deep.
- 13:05Speaker 1: They both look like they were twenty five years old,
- 13:07Speaker 1: and I think Bucks fancy that and go, yeah, let's
- 13:09Speaker 1: keep going. The Glazer family obviously would do everything in
- 13:12Speaker 1: their power to keep Tom here. They would surround him
- 13:15Speaker 1: with whoever he needs to keep the Tom Brady party
- 13:18Speaker 1: rolling in Tampa. But the truth of the matter is
- 13:21Speaker 1: is nobody really knows, and I'm not sure if Tom
- 13:24Speaker 1: really knows right now. And the interesting thing is two
- 13:26Speaker 1: weeks ago and they played the Panthers, the Panthers had
- 13:28Speaker 1: a chance to sort of take over this division. We
- 13:30Speaker 1: all came here and you watch him walk off the
- 13:32Speaker 1: field and think, maybe could this have been it? And
- 13:34Speaker 1: I think they'll be a little bit of that same
- 13:35Speaker 1: feeling tonight, but again it could continue. So it's really
- 13:39Speaker 1: been this wait and see scenario throughout the back half
- 13:42Speaker 1: of the season, and for the first time tonight a
- 13:46Speaker 1: home underdog in the postseason Sarah Walsh Jane Slater, is
- 13:51Speaker 1: that Tom Brady's final game that the Cowboys ruined the party?
- 13:56Speaker 1: M speaking of the Cowboys and the n f C
- 13:58Speaker 1: is coming up next? Can the Giants now ruined the
- 14:01Speaker 1: Eagles party? Third time? Charm? Maybe straight ahead on NFL
- 14:07Speaker 1: now the dark Ball and wick up my home and
- 14:18Speaker 1: on board. I don't believe it, Ran, You're cruning in.
- 14:22Speaker 1: That is a big shining not my parer water, not
- 14:26Speaker 1: road by Taylor. I passed to the shop boy in
- 14:29Speaker 1: Lon's gonna stay shot Anni back, touch down, Flexico first,
- 14:35Speaker 1: the kickers away. He's got a cab. I think running
- 14:40Speaker 1: our luck down, Kevin Boss and that should wrap it up.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Pluck down. Oh my god, this thing goes on alive.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Jackson rumbles and the deal O lordy, oh god, this
- 14:52Speaker 1: is mel the medal rest no bird too, the most
- 14:56Speaker 1: promparkable whin I have ever seen, ping off your seek
- 14:59Speaker 1: plays the gentlemen. This is the type of game where
- 15:02Speaker 1: the legends are made. And now we get round three,
- 15:06Speaker 1: the Giants and the Eagles, the the NFL's glamour Division,
- 15:10Speaker 1: NFL now on NFL Networks, Steve Why, andrews Ceciliano, and
- 15:13Speaker 1: I'm told that Mark Ross, Philly guy, you were smiling
- 15:17Speaker 1: during that whole seventy five second music video. Smiling on
- 15:22Speaker 1: the outside, crying on the inside is some of those highlights.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Because I worked for both of those teams and was
- 15:28Speaker 1: lived the good, the bad, and ugly on both sides
- 15:30Speaker 1: of it. So a lot of motion there. Grew up
- 15:33Speaker 1: in Philly, nothing more than Philly, hayting A, the NFC East,
- 15:36Speaker 1: particularly the Giants Cowboys. So just gonna be a lot
- 15:40Speaker 1: going on with this game. I know guys are getting
- 15:42Speaker 1: turned up in Philly already for this one, but look,
- 15:45Speaker 1: this game is gonna come down to this. The You
- 15:47Speaker 1: can't really judge the first two games. The first game
- 15:50Speaker 1: Philly blew the Giants out. The second game the Giants
- 15:53Speaker 1: are wresting their starters. You can't get much from that.
- 15:55Speaker 1: And then always a question, well can you beat a
- 15:57Speaker 1: team three times? Yes, you can beat a team three times,
- 16:00Speaker 1: but you can also upset a team and come through.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I was with the Giants into the US and seven.
- 16:05Speaker 1: We lost to the Cowboys twice during the regular season
- 16:09Speaker 1: and then played them in the playoffs when they were
- 16:11Speaker 1: thirteen and three. Jerry Jones already buying tickets to the
- 16:13Speaker 1: NFC Championship game. We went in there and beat them.
- 16:16Speaker 1: So yes, for the Giants, completely different Giants team, playing
- 16:20Speaker 1: with a ton enough confidence. Daniel Jones has taken the leap,
- 16:24Speaker 1: so this is a completely different matchup than what will
- 16:27Speaker 1: we have seen these the other two games. And then
- 16:29Speaker 1: the Jalen Hurts factor. You know how healthy is Jalen Hurts.
- 16:32Speaker 1: You're thinking after the week off that will be healthy,
- 16:35Speaker 1: but you won't know that until you get into the game.
- 16:38Speaker 1: But this is gonna be a fistfight. Here is Steve
- 16:40Speaker 1: and a lot of fun. Yeah, this is where you
- 16:42Speaker 1: can talk about Jalen Hurts. You ever, when he came
- 16:43Speaker 1: back in a week eight teen, he was a little rusty, right,
- 16:46Speaker 1: and then they have to buy again. So this is
- 16:48Speaker 1: an opportune when the Giants have to get out to
- 16:50Speaker 1: a lead quick. Right. Maybe Jalen Hurts isn't on point
- 16:52Speaker 1: like he wants him. He'll eventually get there, but Giants
- 16:55Speaker 1: need to get a lead quick, and then they need
- 16:56Speaker 1: to run the football because the one thing we have
- 16:59Speaker 1: seen from Philadelphia in this in this very good defense,
- 17:01Speaker 1: is they have shown that there are times they can
- 17:03Speaker 1: get run on. And again against the Vikings, the Giants
- 17:07Speaker 1: of Sa Kwan and Daniel Jones ran the ball effectively,
- 17:09Speaker 1: so they need to give the Eagles a taste of
- 17:11Speaker 1: their own medicine. But Daniel Jones running the ball an
- 17:14Speaker 1: equal amount and Sa Kwan Barkley kind of mixing things
- 17:17Speaker 1: up a little bit. I think that way they can
- 17:18Speaker 1: keep this defense off balance and they have a chance,
- 17:21Speaker 1: because if it gets a situation where Daniel Jones has
- 17:23Speaker 1: to throw the ball thirty five plus times, that's a
- 17:25Speaker 1: bad That's just a bad formula. It's not what the
- 17:27Speaker 1: Giants do. And that allows guys like Hassan Reddick, Javon Hargrave,
- 17:32Speaker 1: those real intense pass rushers that they have up front,
- 17:34Speaker 1: for the Eagles to get after Daniel Jones. Again, that
- 17:37Speaker 1: is not a good formula for the makeup of these
- 17:39Speaker 1: two teams. Look, the big question is what can we
- 17:41Speaker 1: take from Week eighteen. I think we could take a
- 17:43Speaker 1: little bit. I think obviously, without Daniel Jones and without
- 17:46Speaker 1: say Kon Barkley, that team fought, fought hard. Yet I
- 17:49Speaker 1: think Wake Martindale's defense gets a lot of credit for
- 17:51Speaker 1: limiting the Eagles to field goals in the red zone,
- 17:55Speaker 1: not touchdowns in the red zone, but so much of
- 17:58Speaker 1: that I think, And Steve, you and I were talking
- 18:01Speaker 1: about this in the Duce room this morning. Was marked
- 18:03Speaker 1: from the Eagles refusal to let Jalen Hurts run the
- 18:08Speaker 1: football in Week eighteen. They had to protect his shoulder.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Do they have to protect his shoulder this week? That
- 18:16Speaker 1: to me is the question. Yeah, no question because you're
- 18:19Speaker 1: you're unlocked. You just don't want Jalen Hurts to just
- 18:21Speaker 1: sit in the pocket and throwing. His specialness is in
- 18:24Speaker 1: his ability to run run people over those short yarded
- 18:27Speaker 1: situations as well. You know the bulldozing style that the
- 18:30Speaker 1: Philly has on those shortyarded situations. So that is the
- 18:34Speaker 1: big key is how healthy is Jalen Hurts. You'll know
- 18:38Speaker 1: right away. I'm sure when you see whatever the play
- 18:40Speaker 1: calls are, the design runs of how much they mix
- 18:43Speaker 1: him in early, if he is fully healthy, but yes,
- 18:46Speaker 1: if he's rusty, if how well he's looking at practice
- 18:49Speaker 1: this week, all of that has to be factored in
- 18:51Speaker 1: into this game. So a lot of intrigue there with
- 18:54Speaker 1: his injury. But also, hey, the moral victors, no, no
- 18:58Speaker 1: moral victories, but the Giants really have to be looking
- 19:00Speaker 1: at that last game where we played all our backups
- 19:02Speaker 1: and still almost had these guys that might give them
- 19:05Speaker 1: even more confidence going into this game. We got Kenny
- 19:08Speaker 1: Golladay in the end zone Week eight team, which led
- 19:12Speaker 1: to his pancake block yesterday. I mean, come on, confidence
- 19:16Speaker 1: matters a little bit in this one. Absolutely, Giants are
- 19:20Speaker 1: confident they can finally beat him. Thank you Mark Ross,
- 19:22Speaker 1: Thank you, Steve. Watch Giants and Eagles, the Glamorate division
- 19:25Speaker 1: head to head coming up in the divisional round. So
- 19:40Speaker 1: the Pro Bowl is kind of different in three imagine,
- 19:42Speaker 1: but it is still in Vegas. The Manning brothers are

- 19:47Speaker 1: head coaches, and the new Skills Challenges and the first

- 20:07Speaker 1: Bowl dot Com slash tickets by your tickets today. Just
- 20:11Speaker 1: scanned that thing on the screen. And while you do that,
- 20:14Speaker 1: watch the highlight from yesterday Josh Allen of the Buffalo
- 20:17Speaker 1: Bills and the Miami Dolphins at a seventeen nothing will
- 20:20Speaker 1: lead the quickly evaporated, and that the Dolphins took the
- 20:23Speaker 1: lead when Eric Row took it away from Josh Allen. Yes,
- 20:25Speaker 1: he fumbled again and Zach Seeler fell on it, and
- 20:28Speaker 1: the Dolphins are up to twenty. Bills are up by
- 20:31Speaker 1: three late third quarter when Gabe Davis gets the feet
- 20:34Speaker 1: down guys a playoff touchdown machine, Bills lead. It came
- 20:41Speaker 1: down to this for the Dolphins. It's a fourth and
- 20:43Speaker 1: six after they botched the clock and took the delay,
- 20:49Speaker 1: and it should have been it should have been fourth
- 20:50Speaker 1: and one. Bills wint thirty one, and they just mismanaged
- 20:55Speaker 1: the clock. It was communicated to me through the um upstairs,
- 21:00Speaker 1: you know, from from the headset. I think, Um, I
- 21:04Speaker 1: was standing by an official. Uh. I had just had
- 21:08Speaker 1: gotten convicted information that it was a first down. UM.
- 21:13Speaker 1: So I don't really know exactly who it was from.
- 21:17Speaker 1: It was probably the first time all year that that
- 21:19Speaker 1: had happened. So, um, you know, you try to do
- 21:25Speaker 1: your best. As it was, I thought we had a
- 21:28Speaker 1: fourth and sixth opportunity that were unable to come up
- 21:31Speaker 1: with as well. So, um, fourth and one most of
- 21:35Speaker 1: the time is easier than fourth and six. But at
- 21:37Speaker 1: the same time, UH, you know, you just have to
- 21:41Speaker 1: adjust to whatever variables put out there. I saw that
- 21:45Speaker 1: transcribed Mike jority Mark Ross, and I thought it was
- 21:48Speaker 1: a typo. I thought he said conflicted or conflicting he
- 21:52Speaker 1: actually did say convicted. Regardless, Mark Ross fourth and one,
- 21:56Speaker 1: they reset the play clock at one point. You cannot
- 21:59Speaker 1: take a delay with the game on the light. I
- 22:02Speaker 1: mean they could have would have showed it. They are
- 22:04Speaker 1: too complete and away from Jason Sanders potentially tie that game. Yes,
- 22:09Speaker 1: it's very very inexcusable for that to happen at that
- 22:11Speaker 1: point in the game. And the coach said that the
- 22:13Speaker 1: first time it happened all year, But it happened over
- 22:15Speaker 1: and over in the game. Four delayed game penalties there
- 22:18Speaker 1: in the game, and numerous other times where they barely
- 22:21Speaker 1: got to snap off. So something was obviously wrong in
- 22:24Speaker 1: the communication with all parties. Yes, once or twice, you're figuring,
- 22:27Speaker 1: all right, let's figure this out. But when it happened
- 22:30Speaker 1: all entire game and the biggest play of your season
- 22:32Speaker 1: it happens again, that is just inexcusable. Playoff football against
- 22:37Speaker 1: the Buffalo Bills, after almost gifting you the game to
- 22:40Speaker 1: Josh Josh Allen interceptions and that fumble for touchdown there,
- 22:44Speaker 1: you have to take advantage of those things. But when
- 22:47Speaker 1: you beat yourselves and you're not talented like the Bills overcoming,
- 22:50Speaker 1: that's what happens. At the end of the loss, they're Mike, Yeah,
- 22:52Speaker 1: I mean they had it. They had it near midfield,
- 22:54Speaker 1: and you think if you just rushed to the line
- 22:56Speaker 1: on fourth and one, they thought they had a first
- 22:59Speaker 1: looked to everyone on TV that they didn't have the first.
- 23:02Speaker 1: You rush to the line, you take the quarterback sneak
- 23:04Speaker 1: and and you're moving on um And they might have
- 23:07Speaker 1: been moving on if you actually caught some passes here.
- 23:10Speaker 1: The Buffalo defense, Mike Giardi, could have given up far
- 23:14Speaker 1: worse numbers than they actually did give up. You realized
- 23:19Speaker 1: Andrew yesterday, they allowed one scoring drive of longer than
- 23:23Speaker 1: forty yards and that came in the fourth quarter when
- 23:24Speaker 1: they're up ten four. Miami nearly took seven minutes off
- 23:28Speaker 1: the clock to get that done. And I know they
- 23:30Speaker 1: were playing a third string quarterback out of the seventh round.
- 23:33Speaker 1: But I will say this for Skylette Thompson, tough kids,
- 23:36Speaker 1: stayed in there, made some throws when he had to,
- 23:38Speaker 1: had the two interceptions, but I thought he did a
- 23:40Speaker 1: pretty good job for them overall. But I think you
- 23:42Speaker 1: look at the Bills team and they say we get
- 23:44Speaker 1: eighteen points off of the offensive turnovers on short fields
- 23:48Speaker 1: and to your point could have been worse there. I
- 23:50Speaker 1: also think something stood out to me about Buffalo, and
- 23:53Speaker 1: that was the player of their corners. Again, you're playing
- 23:55Speaker 1: Skylie Thompsons, You're gonna throw that at me. But I
- 23:57Speaker 1: thought Trude Avious White looked more like Trude Avious White
- 24:00Speaker 1: than he has at any points. It's coming back from
- 24:02Speaker 1: the A c L. He talked about it. He knows
- 24:04Speaker 1: it's a two year recovery period, but he's pushing the
- 24:06Speaker 1: pedalt the metal, thanking the training staff for getting him right.
- 24:09Speaker 1: And then on the other side, Kier first round pick.
- 24:12Speaker 1: He's been a healthy scratch oft times this year, but
- 24:15Speaker 1: as Sean McDermott said, instead of ducking his chin into
- 24:17Speaker 1: his chest and sulking when he wasn't playing, he just
- 24:20Speaker 1: kept working and kept working, and now all of a
- 24:22Speaker 1: sudden you're seeing why they draft him in the first round.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Played that interception beautifully. He covered two tough play to
- 24:28Speaker 1: make from the throw from Thompson, but used his length
- 24:31Speaker 1: and played it perfectly. And then the breakup on the
- 24:34Speaker 1: fourth down play at the end, Tyreek Hill seven catches
- 24:37Speaker 1: sixty nine yards. I'd say the Bills would sign up
- 24:39Speaker 1: for that every day. Absolutely, Ky ariel And made a
- 24:42Speaker 1: huge play there, and Skyler Thompson could have had more place.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Credit to the Bill secondary because some of those quote
- 24:48Speaker 1: unquote drops, especially some of the balls to Jalen Waddle
- 24:50Speaker 1: were actually very good defensive place. But I said during
- 24:54Speaker 1: the game, if Skyler Thompson had the crew the brock
- 24:56Speaker 1: Purdy had, they might have won that game. But they didn't,
- 25:00Speaker 1: and now brock Purdy awaits the winner tonight in Tampa.
