- 0:00Speaker 1: The peace of Christmas time, Dearest, How hard it is
- 0:05Speaker 1: to say that all is for the best, since sometimes
- 0:09Speaker 1: in a grievous way, God's will is manifest. See with
- 0:15Speaker 1: what hearty, noisy glee our little ones tonight dance round
- 0:20Speaker 1: and round our Christmas tree with pretty toys, bedite, dearest,
- 0:26Speaker 1: one voice. They may not hear, one face, they may
- 0:31Speaker 1: not see. Ah, what of all this Christmas cheer? Cometh
- 0:37Speaker 1: to you and me cometh before our misty eyes that
- 0:43Speaker 1: other little face, and we clasp in tender reverent wise
- 0:49Speaker 1: that love in the old embrace. Dearest, The Christ Child
- 0:55Speaker 1: walks tonight bringing his peace to men, and he brings
- 1:00Speaker 1: to you and to me the light of the old
- 1:04Speaker 1: old years. Again bringeth the peace of long ago, when
- 1:09Speaker 1: a wee one clasp your knee and lisped of the morrow,
- 1:13Speaker 1: dear one, you know, and here come back is he? Dearest?
- 1:20Speaker 1: Tis sometimes hard to say that all is for the best,
- 1:25Speaker 1: for often in a grievous way, God's will is manifest.
