- 0:00Speaker 1: Now much more mark mark simone now nine till noon
- 0:05Speaker 1: weekdays on 710 wor hey we'll take some calls 800-321-0710
- 0:12Speaker 1: is the number 800-321-0710 uh cuba you know it's an
- 0:21Speaker 1: absolute mess it's a socialist country whenever you have socialism
- 0:24Speaker 1: you have disaster everywhere you have poverty You have a
- 0:27Speaker 1: complete mess. Cuba, another blackout over the weekend. Millions and
- 0:32Speaker 1: millions across the island without electricity. Cuba's power grid collapsed
- 0:37Speaker 1: once again Friday. Still out in many places. People just,
- 0:42Speaker 1: one resident there off the record says nobody can stand
- 0:46Speaker 1: these constant blackouts. There's not enough food, not enough water,
- 0:50Speaker 1: no electricity. You have no idea how bad it is.
- 0:53Speaker 1: The country's in such a sad state. He said there's
- 0:55Speaker 1: no words for it. what we're going through. Power grid
- 1:00Speaker 1: collapses have been very, very common in Cuba over the
- 1:05Speaker 1: last couple of years. Severe economic crisis gripping Cuba. Also,
- 1:11Speaker 1: they've been cut off from oil, from us, from everybody.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So it's a big, big problem. But that's what happens
- 1:17Speaker 1: when you try socialism. It always ends that way. Hey, Newsday,
- 1:22Speaker 1: you know, Long Island's newspaper, used to be a big newspaper. Newsday,
- 1:25Speaker 1: not so big anymore. It's a little thing now. But Newsday,
- 1:29Speaker 1: possibly the worst newspaper in America, certainly on the top
- 1:33Speaker 1: five of worst newspapers in America, even doing what they're
- 1:40Speaker 1: supposed to still be able to do well, and that's
- 1:43Speaker 1: cover Long Island. They really stink at it. They just
- 1:46Speaker 1: put out their list of the 50 best restaurants in
- 1:49Speaker 1: Long Island. Now, Long Island has some of the greatest
- 1:53Speaker 1: restaurants anywhere in the tri-state area. 50 best restaurants on
- 1:57Speaker 1: Long Island. Go read the list. There's like three you'd recognize.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And 47 nobody ever heard of. All the great restaurants
- 2:05Speaker 1: on Long Island are not included on here. There's no Cipollini.
- 2:10Speaker 1: There's no Prime. There's no Posto Pozzo. There's no Rothman's.
- 2:14Speaker 1: All the great restaurants on Long Island left off the list.
- 2:17Speaker 1: But that's Newsday. You can always count on them to
- 2:21Speaker 1: be totally unreliable about everything. Hey, that crazy Hassan Piker,
- 2:28Speaker 1: that awful anti-Semite, that ugly, disgusting, vicious anti-Semite, he's going
- 2:34Speaker 1: to speak at Cornell. He's been invited to speak at Cornell.
- 2:39Speaker 1: That's why you've got to stay the hell away from
- 2:41Speaker 1: these Ivy League schools. Don't send your kids there, any
- 2:44Speaker 1: of these Ivy League schools. Experts now say the whole
- 2:48Speaker 1: Ivy League is just a hotbed of anti-Semitism. The event
- 2:52Speaker 1: at Cornell... already sold out who the hell would even
- 2:57Speaker 1: let this guy on the campus let alone be the
- 2:59Speaker 1: big guest star speaker sold out event absolutely ridiculous hey
- 3:04Speaker 1: if you want to call hey there's open lines so
- 3:06Speaker 1: don't tell me you can't get through there's open lines
- 3:08Speaker 1: 800-321-0710 is the number 800-321-0710 let's go to bill in
- 3:11Speaker 1: hamburg new jersey bill how you doing.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Okay, thank you, Mark. You know, the situation with Trump
- 3:27Speaker 2: banning CNN and MSS, whatever the other one is, all
- 3:33Speaker 2: they do is propagandize. They lie. They're dishonest, as President
- 3:39Speaker 2: Trump said. They poison minds with their information. And I
- 3:43Speaker 2: understand the constitutionality of freedom of speech. But when it
- 3:48Speaker 2: begins to poison people's minds, then they don't know what
- 3:51Speaker 2: the hell is right from wrong anymore.
- 3:53Speaker 1: You can't say they're poisoning people's minds. They're speaking to
- 3:56Speaker 1: the choir. They're preaching to the choir. So it's minds
- 3:58Speaker 1: that are already long ago poisoned. But you're right. And
- 4:04Speaker 1: the problem is they're going to court. They're going to
- 4:06Speaker 1: sue the president. Now, he could... very possibly make the
- 4:11Speaker 1: case in court that they're not news organizations. He could
- 4:15Speaker 1: present 50, 60, 100 examples of fake news that they broadcast.
- 4:20Speaker 1: He could present 50 big news stories that they refused
- 4:24Speaker 1: to broadcast because they were too positive about the administration.
- 4:27Speaker 1: So he could make the case in court. It would
- 4:29Speaker 1: be interesting to see that they're really not a news organization.
- 4:35Speaker 1: that they're just political activists pushing a political agenda. The
- 4:39Speaker 1: Obama administration tried doing that with Fox News. They kept
- 4:43Speaker 1: arguing it's not a news organization. They're just a political activist.
- 4:46Speaker 1: So in this case, you know, the Obama administration tried it,
- 4:50Speaker 1: gave up. But this is President Trump. He always fights harder.
- 4:54Speaker 1: He may pull it off. He may actually get it done.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Let's go to Art Lakewood, New Jersey. Art, how are
- 4:59Speaker 1: you doing?
- 5:00Speaker 3: I'm doing fine. Hope you are too.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I'm good.
- 5:03Speaker 3: I've got a question. I don't know if you can
- 5:05Speaker 3: answer this or not, but the Clancy person who murdered
- 5:09Speaker 3: her three children?
- 5:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:12Speaker 3: She was supposed to murder herself by committing suicide?
- 5:15Speaker 5: Yes.
- 5:16Speaker 3: I'm wondering why she only jumped off a 10-foot high
- 5:18Speaker 3: second floor.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Well, a lot of people, she did make a suicide attempt.
- 5:23Speaker 1: A lot of people thought it wasn't real. It was
- 5:24Speaker 1: just an attempt to gain sympathy. She didn't cut the
- 5:28Speaker 1: right vein or something. She's a nurse. She worked as
- 5:31Speaker 1: a nurse. She would know exactly how to kill herself,
- 5:33Speaker 1: what vein to cut, all of that, if she really, really,
- 5:36Speaker 1: really wanted to. So a lot of people don't think
- 5:38Speaker 1: it was a sincere attempt. Let's go to Diane in Illinois. Diane,
- 5:43Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 5:44Speaker 5: Good morning, Mark. You know, you have to fill me in.
- 5:48Speaker 5: With Pritzker, four data centers in AI, I understand. Whenever
- 5:52Speaker 5: he's on TV, whenever I see him on, I just
- 5:55Speaker 5: can't listen to him. But he has to be forward
- 5:58Speaker 5: because construction is being planned. for a 500-acre data center
- 6:03Speaker 5: in a town called Essex, which is about, oh, 60
- 6:07Speaker 5: or 70 miles southwest of Chicago. So what's he talking about?
- 6:12Speaker 1: He's just anything anti-Trump. Pritzker is just anti-Trump. Whatever he
- 6:16Speaker 1: has to say to be anti-Trump, he'll do it. He's
- 6:19Speaker 1: a big fat slob.
- 6:22Speaker 5: The only thing you see now on TV are commercials
- 6:23Speaker 5: about how he's improved the bonds in Illinois. I don't
- 6:28Speaker 5: know how, but Yeah.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Oh, you're in Illinois. He's running for governor. Re-election, right?
- 6:32Speaker 1: So you're seeing his commercials all the time. Do they
- 6:35Speaker 1: show him or they use something?
- 6:37Speaker 5: Yeah, they showed him at a table signing things looking
- 6:41Speaker 5: really important. But he's got to be looking at president
- 6:45Speaker 5: because he's lost a lot of weight.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Well, he hasn't lost a lot of weight.
- 6:50Speaker 5: You're right.
- 6:51Speaker 1: He's lost some, but he's got a ways to go. Boy,
- 6:53Speaker 1: don't ever get in a buffet line behind that guy.
- 6:56Speaker 1: You're going to really get stuck there. Let's go to
- 6:59Speaker 1: Mike in Florida. Mike, how are you doing?
- 7:02Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yes, Mike.
- 7:05Speaker 4: You mentioned that it's UN week. The only good thing
- 7:07Speaker 4: that comes out of it is that every hooker in
- 7:09Speaker 4: the world is here this week.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. Not just regular hookers, but the really
- 7:16Speaker 1: expensive call girls. We're not joking. They actually descend on
- 7:19Speaker 1: New York. They take hotel rooms all over the place.
- 7:22Speaker 1: There's like thousands of them. And the local hookers. The
- 7:25Speaker 1: local hookers can't keep up with all the demand.
- 7:28Speaker 4: That's right. The world-class ones have invaded the city. And
- 7:33Speaker 4: you were talking about the stores that have the cash-counting machines.
- 7:37Speaker 4: The hookers have the cash-counting machines, too, this time of
- 7:41Speaker 4: the year. And when I worked on a PIX this week,
- 7:44Speaker 4: because that studio is right there at the old Daily News.
- 7:47Speaker 4: 42nd and 2nd, yeah. Yeah, it was a nightmare this week.
- 7:52Speaker 4: It was just the worst. I mean, you know, it
- 7:55Speaker 4: was just so crowded with, you know, bubble heads walking around,
- 8:00Speaker 4: you know, sightseeing. It was a nightmare getting into the office.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Yeah, good point, Mike. Thanks for calling. Yeah, if you
- 8:06Speaker 1: try to get to the east side, especially in the 40s,
- 8:10Speaker 1: 3rd Avenue, 2nd Avenue, 1st Avenue, a lot of street closures.
- 8:12Speaker 1: And in many of those blocks, they're closed and you
- 8:14Speaker 1: have to show your ID that you work on the
- 8:16Speaker 1: block or that you live on the block. uh, in
- 8:19Speaker 1: order to even get into the, to be able to
- 8:21Speaker 1: walk down that street. So just avoid the East side. And,
- 8:25Speaker 1: but again, it's going to be congestion all over the place.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Those world leaders staying at the, the Pierre, the Waldorf,
- 8:30Speaker 1: the St. Regis across the street over there, the Warwick,
- 8:34Speaker 1: the Hilton, there'll be all over the place. So it'd
- 8:36Speaker 1: be massive, massive, uh, gridlock everywhere. And, uh, the benefit
- 8:43Speaker 1: is these, uh, delegates all come here, uh, They don't
- 8:47Speaker 1: do anything at the UN. There's nothing that means anything
- 8:50Speaker 1: that happens there. But they bring their families, they bring
- 8:53Speaker 1: their wives, they bring their mistresses, and they all go
- 8:56Speaker 1: on shopping sprees. They spend a fortune. So you can
- 9:00Speaker 1: go into the finest, most luxurious store, and you'll see
- 9:02Speaker 1: this big industrial-looking cash counting machine that counts the bills.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Because they'll spend $ 400, 000 in pay and cash. So those
- 9:11Speaker 1: counting machines are everywhere. As we say, the hookers... have
- 9:15Speaker 1: come from all over the world to work this week.
- 9:18Speaker 1: It's the biggest week of the year for prostitution here
- 9:22Speaker 1: in New York. Anyway, we've got a lot to get to.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Don't forget, I'm on three hours now, 9 a.m. till
- 9:29Speaker 1: noon every day, three hours every day. And then at noon,
- 9:32Speaker 1: you've got Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. And then at
- 9:35Speaker 1: 3 o'clock, you've got the most listened to radio show
- 9:37Speaker 1: in America, Sean Hannity, Jesse Kelly at 6, the very
- 9:41Speaker 1: funny Jimmy Fallon. Every Night at Nine, quite a lineup here,
- 9:45Speaker 1: on 710WOR.
