- 0:20Hello and welcome to episode eight of the All Systems Go
- 0:25Sports Betting podcast Powered by Rhythm.
- 0:28I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on, everyone?
- 0:34Happy Monday. A new week begins, guys.
- 0:37We are entering the final week of March.
- 0:40Before you know it, we're going to have Major League Baseball
- 0:42Opening Day coming up here on Thursday.
- 0:45Cannot wait for that. I've had a lot of people, by the
- 0:47way, reach out to me asking about MLB.
- 0:50When are you going to talk futures?
- 0:51When are you going to talk about win totals?
- 0:52Well, my style when it comes to win totals, Futures.
- 0:55Trying to get a few plays in, basically to look at them as a
- 0:58bankroll builder, something that we can keep an eye on throughout
- 1:00the year in terms of doing our homework, to bet these, but
- 1:04also, you know, rooting for them throughout the season, you know,
- 1:06kind of a vested interest in specific teams.
- 1:09Well, I want to wait until as late as possible.
- 1:10So I want to let you guys know now that we're going to do win
- 1:13total Wednesday for Major League Baseball upcoming this
- 1:17Wednesday, which is the 27th of March.
- 1:19Then of course, opening day is on Thursday.
- 1:21But again, I want to wait for injuries, the dust to settle.
- 1:23I also want to wait for late money to come in and pick a side
- 1:27here in terms of, you know, obviously we're looking at
- 1:30already throughout the, you know, the early part of the
- 1:32offseason or through the offseason into, you know,
- 1:35through most of the spring training here.
- 1:36But I want to wait and get one last batch of data so we can
- 1:39find out where the bets and dollars are for these win
- 1:41totals. Again look out for injuries even
- 1:43up Jordan Montgomery a guy like that who still hasn't signed
- 1:46with anybody. So Long story short for all you
- 1:48seam heads out there, which I am one of them who loved to bet
- 1:51baseball and grinded all year long.
- 1:52Just want to let you know that on Wednesday we'll have win
- 1:54total Wednesday unveil all of our full portfolio of plays
- 1:59going into game one of the regular season coming up on
- 2:02Thursday. So get ready we will talk
- 2:04baseball. Secondly, how was your weekend?
- 2:07Well to be honest with you guys for data-driven sharp contrarian
- 2:11betters like us, it was not a good weekend.
- 2:13In fact it was one of the worst weekends that you're ever going
- 2:16to experience in March Madness because we had something that
- 2:19just never happens. I mean if you look at
- 2:22historically the Long story short, it was chalk, chalk,
- 2:25chalk, chalk, chalk, chalk, chalk, chalk, chalk and more
- 2:28chalk and more chalk. You never see this.
- 2:30But the fact that in round two favorites went 15 and one
- 2:35straight up, they went 11 and five against the spread, I mean,
- 2:38Saturday of course was just just the coup de grace talking about
- 2:41a bloodbath and not things not going your way.
- 2:44I mean, this was something that you very rarely run into in
- 2:47terms of don't think about the games, don't have to break them
- 2:50down, don't have to look at line movement percentages, Just take
- 2:52every favorite late with every popular favorite and pretty much
- 2:56every single one. Well there's money line parlays
- 2:59whether it was just covering numbers in general.
- 3:01It was something that you really never see.
- 3:03So Haley's Comet, an aberration. I just want everyone to know
- 3:07that things like that. You know, betting to me, guys,
- 3:11just when you think you know everything about betting,
- 3:13betting will slap you in the face and say you still got a lot
- 3:15to learn, got a lot to learn. So it's just in terms of looking
- 3:19at on Saturday in particular like you know I dating to start
- 3:21the day went from plus 10 all the way to 8 1/2.
- 3:24I got a nine and a half. They had an opportunity there to
- 3:26score late, cover the number, they turn it over, lose by 8.
- 3:30You know, Kansas, Michigan State.
- 3:31Both were super sharp public on their opponents, yet their lines
- 3:34moved in their favor. You know, Michigan State is up
- 3:37to a huge lead, then they get blown out.
- 3:39Kansas had a lead at halftime, then they get blown out.
- 3:41But of all the games this weekend, Oregon was the absolute
- 3:45worst because I had Oregon and the points there against
- 3:49Creighton. And what happened?
- 3:51They went to overtime. Well, they go to do double
- 3:53overtime, end up getting rolled. And you could see Cousnard was a
- 3:57really good point guard. They're pretty much their entire
- 3:59team ran out of gas, they had nothing left in terms of their
- 4:01legs. And what happens, Creighton ends
- 4:04up covering the number. So it was just one of those
- 4:06crazy, crazy times where you really don't tend to see this
- 4:09very often in sports betting. And I think we take a step back.
- 4:12We got to say, hey, it was a terrible weekend for contrarian
- 4:15betters because every public favorite covered pretty much
- 4:18every single one. It was a bad weekend for sharps
- 4:21and wise guys because again, the public feasted and the sharp
- 4:24line moves didn't come through. And it was a terrible weekend
- 4:27for guess who the sports books. You saw a bunch of quotes from a
- 4:30couple different, or at least people that I was seeing on
- 4:32Twitter getting notes from a lot of sports book directors and
- 4:35they're saying that was the worst weekend of the year again.
- 4:38And no one's going to cry for the sports books because the
- 4:40lights still turn on the next day and they make money hand
- 4:42over fist. But just goes to show you that
- 4:45if you had a bad weekend, if the sharp plays didn't come through,
- 4:48which they didn't, if the contrarian plays didn't come
- 4:50through, which they didn't, you're not alone.
- 4:52Don't get frustrated. And also don't let this change
- 4:55the way you approach betting like you know, think of it this
- 4:58way. If it was as easy as taking
- 5:00every popular favorite, you know, odds makers, the you know,
- 5:03the books, they'd go bankrupt. You know, average Joes would
- 5:06quit their day jobs, bet full time and become millionaires.
- 5:08That doesn't happen long term. You may get something crazy like
- 5:11a weekend we we just had with all these chalk favorites
- 5:14covering, but it's not something that is sustainable long term.
- 5:17So the public had pretty much their greatest weekend and and
- 5:20and the longest time that I can remember at least.
- 5:23But don't let that discourage you.
- 5:24We did see a little bit of maybe some turn around yesterday.
- 5:28I know favorites continue to win outright, but you did have at
- 5:31least a fade. The trendy dog play with Duke
- 5:33coming through. They cover the number they were
- 5:36laying what 6 1/2 and they were only getting 30% of bets.
- 5:38At least one contrarian play came through.
- 5:40You did at least see Clemson. I don't know if anyone took 4
- 5:431/2 with Clemson, but they were kind of a sharp line freeze.
- 5:45And the one that actually came through which was a blueprint
- 5:47play was Texas A&M public all over Houston.
- 5:50But A&M fell plus 10 down to what, 9 1/2 or 9 ends up going
- 5:55to overtime. They actually, you know, could
- 5:56have won that game. Crazy 3 pointer there to force
- 5:59overtime. But they end up covering that
- 6:00number. So Long story short guys, that
- 6:02is a weekend that I want to forget.
- 6:04And at one point, at some point it becomes comical, like when I
- 6:07was going, you know, O and three with my plays and then we had
- 6:11the last play of the night with Oregon.
- 6:12Even when Oregon was up, I was like, no, they'll find a way to
- 6:15screw me today. That's just the way things are
- 6:16going. And of course what happens, they
- 6:18find a way to screw you. But again, this is what I think
- 6:20is so important about sports betting, especially on, you
- 6:23know, this podcast, the All Systems Go Pod.
- 6:25You know, pull up a chair to the virtual bar.
- 6:27We talk sports betting, we talk sharp plays.
- 6:29But you also got a really kind of factor in the mental side of
- 6:32sports betting, because sports betting will frustrate you like
- 6:35no other. You cap a game perfectly, team
- 6:37gets blown out. You spend all your time breaking
- 6:39out a game. The two second cap from the
- 6:41public lay the points of the favorites, 'cause they're
- 6:44awesome. That wins.
- 6:45You get frustrated. You get annoyed.
- 6:48You feel like hey, you know, you know the gambling gods are
- 6:50against you. What's going on?
- 6:51Why? Why is this so frustrating and
- 6:53so difficult? Let me just tell you it's a
- 6:56forest amongst the trees. It's a storm that's going to
- 6:58pass. You just got to continue to
- 6:59grind. And of course another thing I
- 7:01always think is important is bankroll management.
- 7:03So if you had a bad, you know, weekend, you know, This is why
- 7:07we always flat bet. We're always betting to risk,
- 7:09not betting to win. We're risking 1 unit.
- 7:11We're not doubling down and getting pissed off and tripling
- 7:14down and and chasing no, no, no. It's always flatbedting bankroll
- 7:17management and it's it's knowing that hey, as bad as this weekend
- 7:20was where probably your your drunk buddies at the bar had
- 7:23their greatest weekend ever because it was just the obvious
- 7:26plays all came through. Remember, that doesn't happen
- 7:29very often. This is just an incredible
- 7:31aberration and and just a ridiculous you know, weird kind
- 7:35of thing that just happened. So it is not a long term
- 7:38sustainable endeavour to go public favorites all the time.
- 7:41In fact, you actually want to be against that long term, but in a
- 7:44small sample size. In one weekend the public had it
- 7:47had a great weekend. So tip we tip our cap to the
- 7:49public. We tip our cap to our neighbor
- 7:52who just had a good weekend. I bet every chalk, favorite and
- 7:55money line parlayed them. Or drunk guy at the bar who made
- 7:59a lot of money this weekend. But remember, it's not going to
- 8:01last. We got to continue to grind and
- 8:03when, when, when, when you're going through hell, keep going.
- 8:06That's one of my favorite quotes from Winston Churchill.
- 8:09Also, scared money don't make no money.
- 8:11Just because things you know didn't go our way this weekend
- 8:14doesn't mean that you lay off when you see a sharp move, you
- 8:16just stick with it, grind with that thing.
- 8:18It's one of the hardest parts of sports betting is that when
- 8:20things are frustrating, when it when you feel like the losses
- 8:22are piling up, you can't give in.
- 8:24You can't quit. It's as hard as it sounds and
- 8:27it's it's much it's not as hard as it's not as easy as it sounds
- 8:30basically. But basically but you got to
- 8:32just stick with it. Even keeled grinding, flat
- 8:34bedding playing the system matches and again the storm will
- 8:37fade. So just want to address that
- 8:38because I, like you guys, had one of my worst, you know,
- 8:41college basketball. It actually was the worst
- 8:42college basketball weekend of the year.
- 8:45And it's just a weird, crazy thing happened where every
- 8:47public favorite came through. And here's the other thing, you
- 8:50know, we, you know, us in our style, data-driven, sharp
- 8:53contrarian betting. We had a bad weekend, but the
- 8:55sports books did too. And the sports books are not in
- 8:58the business of consistently losing.
- 9:00They're in the business of consistently making money.
- 9:02So just remember, you know, the storm's going to fade.
- 9:04It's going to pass. We're going to get back to our
- 9:06winning ways. But that was just one crazy
- 9:08weekend where at one point you're mad, you're frustrated,
- 9:11you're pissed off, and then you just laugh.
- 9:12It's like, this is ridiculous. But anyway, we're going to
- 9:15continue to grind and we're going to, we're going to have a
- 9:17winning day here today, guys. So anyway, I just want to
- 9:20address that because it was a ridiculous weekend overall, but
- 9:23I have a three pack of sweats for you today, guys.
- 9:25So we don't have any college basketball in terms of March
- 9:28Madness, but we do have some CIB or yeah, the CIB and the CIT in
- 9:33terms of these other conferences that we can get down on.
- 9:35So I do have a A play on a total in college basketball here for
- 9:39today. I also have a NHL bet for you
- 9:41and an NBA bet for you as well. It's a little 3 pack here.
- 9:44Soon we can go two out of three and then have a winning day.
- 9:47That is the goal. But before we dive in our sweats
- 9:50here guys real quick, if you aren't looking to support the
- 9:53Pod, I would love it if you could give the Pod five stars on
- 9:56Spotify or iTunes or whatever platform you listen to.
- 9:59The All Systems Go Pod. Also if you want to give us a
- 10:01follow on Twitter at under score ASG under score Podcast that
- 10:06would mean a lot as we continue to rise up the rankings here
- 10:09which is great to see. So I want to thank you all for
- 10:11tuning in once again so hope everyone had a good weekend.
- 10:14You know the only positive of the weekend was Rose Namajunas
- 10:16and the UFC biting as Rose was a great day driven play and came
- 10:20through. So luckily if Rose Namajunas
- 10:22lost then it would have been like you know, quit betting
- 10:24forever. It's just it's it's not your
- 10:26thing. But Nope, we keep grinding and
- 10:28Rose did come through. So at least there was a glimmer
- 10:30of light and a very dark, disgusting weekend of of of just
- 10:35bad beats and and bad, bad public winners left and right.
- 10:38But anyway, let's start with because we're going to put the
- 10:40weekend behind us. Here's the thing.
- 10:41Next bet mentality. Next play up, next play, next
- 10:45bet, whatever it may be. You can't change the past, but
- 10:47you can put it behind you and have a positive attitude and be
- 10:51happy to wake up and get right back into the arena and post a
- 10:55winning day. Because that's why sports
- 10:57betting to me is challenging. You know, it's challenging.
- 11:00It's hard to win when you're when you're down.
- 11:02It's hard to stay positive and and attack the day with a, you
- 11:05know, clear and positive mindset And when you're winning
- 11:08everything's easy. But again it's when you're
- 11:10losing that I think you learn a lot about yourself as a better.
- 11:12So with a one of the worst losing weekends of the of the
- 11:15year here that we just experienced, we got to keep that
- 11:18positive, you know, disciplined approach here and mindset.
- 11:22So let's see if we can have a winning day here today.
- 11:24But that being said, let's go to some college basketball now.
- 11:27There's only 5 bets here today. None of them are on March
- 11:30Madness. Don't worry, we'll talk March
- 11:31Madness games out later in the week or monitor them throughout
- 11:34the the week here, but they come back on Thursday.
- 11:37But anyway, there's one game that caught my eye and it is the
- 11:39last game of the night. It's 7:30 PM Eastern Time and
- 11:42this is the CBI. So this obviously is one of your
- 11:44smaller tournaments here, less. The stakes aren't quite as high
- 11:48of course as March Madness or not even close, but it's
- 11:50basketball we can bet on and we can take advantage of.
- 11:53So one angle that I found for the 7:30 PM Eastern Time game in
- 11:57the CBI quarterfinals is Evansville and Seattle going
- 12:00over some on the over Evansville, Seattle over 141
- 12:051/2. Now first thing I noticed is
- 12:07we've seen some smart money hit this over now the overs only
- 12:10getting a little more than half the tickets but almost 2/3 of
- 12:13the dollars. So little low bets, higher
- 12:15dollars bet split. Also, you know, these games are
- 12:18pretty low bet, so you don't really have a lot of public
- 12:20interest in these, you know, small matchups.
- 12:22And you know, basically the public says, hey, why am I going
- 12:25to bet CBICIT and IT even when I can just wait for March Madness,
- 12:29Like I don't want to mess around with these smaller games that
- 12:32are that are, you know, not as sexy, not as popular.
- 12:34But remember, we can approach these games from the same
- 12:36mindset that we had throughout the year in terms of the obscure
- 12:38sharp line move. So Evansville, Seattle, again,
- 12:41it's not a game that anyone is very interested in betting here
- 12:43tonight. It's a very low ticket count,
- 12:45but we didn't see this total rise open at 1:40.
- 12:48Some bet up to 141 1/2. We have that pretty good bet
- 12:51split, just a little more than more than half the tickets, but
- 12:532/3 of the money. So the market's moving up.
- 12:56We also have Ken Palm now he has a final score or a final total
- 13:00here of 140. He's got what, 7367 games.
- 13:03So he's right on the number wouldn't be a Ken Palm edge.
- 13:05But here's what I'm going to look for in terms of this over.
- 13:08We mentioned how the market is moving up so tells me smart
- 13:10money hit the over. Then of course, you know we have
- 13:13the good bet split. But if you look at in particular
- 13:15guys, CBI totals, I don't know what it is about the CBI.
- 13:19It's neutral courts. But maybe because it's the
- 13:21lesser tournament, they don't care as much about locking in on
- 13:24defense. But CBI overs are five and two
- 13:27so far this postseason, and they're 49 and 28 since 2017,
- 13:3264%. So this is something that I've
- 13:34played the last few years here in terms of these totals.
- 13:37And I, you know, NIT you have true home games so you lean on a
- 13:39lot of home favorites. But CBI for whatever reason, I
- 13:42can't quite put my finger on it. Why?
- 13:44Again, maybe it's just the the lack of, you know, just effort
- 13:47on defense because these games aren't that meaningful.
- 13:49But for whatever reason you see these totals really, really get
- 13:53hammered to the over again. Five and two this year to the
- 13:56over 64% to the over since 2017. So that would match for this CBI
- 14:01over. Also, both teams are pretty good
- 14:03at shooting their free throws 73%.
- 14:05They're also pretty good 3 point shooters, 34% and also if you
- 14:09look at effective field goal percentage, they're both around
- 14:1150%. So both teams are pretty decent
- 14:13in terms of, you know, free throws, 3 pointers and from the
- 14:17field. Evansville is 175th in defensive
- 14:20efficiency, Seattle is 73rd in offensive efficiency.
- 14:23So in a game that doesn't mean a ton, it's a low bet game.
- 14:26It's technically your prime time game of the night, but we've
- 14:29seen the total rise. We have a pretty good bet split
- 14:31to the over. We have ACBI edge on overs in
- 14:34general. We have two good shooting teams
- 14:36and we have you know one in particular, one really good
- 14:39offense with Seattle. One bad defense with Evansville
- 14:42which is why you see Seattle here favored by 8.
- 14:44But yeah it all up here guys. I noticed this like overnight
- 14:47early morning move to the over. There's been no buy back.
- 14:50I keep looking at my CBI over system match and this will be
- 14:52your top one here tonight. Evansville and Seattle.
- 14:55So I'm taking a chance on the over Evansville, Seattle.
- 14:58I got over 141 1/2. Keep on cruising now let's go
- 15:04over to the NHL. We got one NHL bet for you
- 15:06tonight guys. We're going to go to a big match
- 15:08up here 8:00 VGK and the Saint Louis Blues.
- 15:12Now one thing I notice here right off the bat is a juiced up
- 15:17over opportunity. So I'm on over 6 Saint Louis and
- 15:20VGKI got over six at some you may get a -, 110.
- 15:24Mostly it's -115 -, 1 twenties out there for a couple reasons
- 15:28like this over. Number one is that it's juiced
- 15:31up. Over.
- 15:31So what does that mean? That means that at every book
- 15:33that you're looking at on your live odds page, they're all in
- 15:35agreement. They're all juiced up in One
- 15:37Direction over -115. Basically to this over, I do see
- 15:42one shop that's at 6 1/2. So maybe you even see a couple
- 15:45books get up to 6 1/2. It wasn't 6 1/2 down to six, it
- 15:49was six juiced up over and one book went to 6 1/2.
- 15:51And you'll see them play this game where they'll juice up the
- 15:53over six and then 6 1/2 will be really juiced up under like
- 15:56-130. But anyway pretty good bets
- 15:58split to the over. VGK and Saint Louis 70% bets,
- 16:02but 80% of the money is on the over.
- 16:05I also get both offensive and defensively.
- 16:08We have two teams that can score.
- 16:09VGK is averaging 3.2 goals a game versus 3 for Saint Louis,
- 16:13and you also have VGKA little bit better defensively, but they
- 16:16haven't been great. They're 2.9 goals per game
- 16:18allowed on the season and you have Saint Louis giving up three
- 16:22goals per game, both teams decent power plays, not very
- 16:26good, or at least I think it was.
- 16:27Saint Louis in particular, not very good penalty kill, but I'm
- 16:30also going to look at the goaltenders here, so that's
- 16:32really important to me With the goalies now, Thompson is going
- 16:35to be in net for VGK. He is.
- 16:38He's got a 2.7, seven goals against average this year, nine
- 16:41O 5 save percentage, but in his lat in his four March starts,
- 16:45he's got an goals against of 3.1.
- 16:47She's been a little bit worse here in the month of March and
- 16:49then in particular Jordan Bennington, who is between the
- 16:52pipes for Saint Louis. He has a 2.85 goals against and
- 16:57a nine twelve save percentage and he's given up eight goals in
- 16:59his last two games. So Bennington gave up four goals
- 17:02to Minnesota, four goals to Colorado.
- 17:05So Bennington is is prone to putting in giving up some goals.
- 17:08So is Thompson. We also have Jack Eichel, who is
- 17:11back for VGK, so that's another offensive weapon that is in the
- 17:15lineup for the Vegas Golden Knights.
- 17:17And you also get Petrangelo, He's banged up.
- 17:19He's not going to play for VGK and he is one of your best
- 17:22defensive, you know, it's pretty good, all just a good all around
- 17:25player. But defensively he is a hit to
- 17:28the line up. So you don't have a good
- 17:29defenseman out there. So at all up here guys, there's
- 17:32only two games in the NHL. We have a juiced up over six.
- 17:35Every book is over 6 -, 115 liability over good bet split,
- 17:39pretty good offenses, not the greatest defenses and we have
- 17:42some porous goaltenders here. So I'm looking for a four to
- 17:45three-game. You guys know the drill over 6.
- 17:48You know can we get a three to three-game going into overtime,
- 17:51guaranteed a fourth goal and cash the over that is the goal.
- 17:54But I like this juiced up over. I like this bat split and again
- 17:59goaltender matchup. Hopefully both can put up or
- 18:01given some goals here today. So I'm going VGK and Saint Louis
- 18:05over six at -115. Then last bit of the night guys,
- 18:10this is going to be a late night game here.
- 18:12But I kept you know just just kind of like I kept looking at
- 18:16it. I kept saying, you know what's
- 18:17going on here and the more I looked at it, the more I liked
- 18:20it. So 10:00 game, Philadelphia
- 18:2276ers and the Sacramento Kings. So this is kind of a larger
- 18:26spread here with the Kings. The Kings are favored by 9.
- 18:29Now this is the second leg of a back-to-back for the 76ers.
- 18:3276ers did play yesterday, actually had a win over the
- 18:36Clippers 121 to one O 7. But where I'm going here, guys,
- 18:40is the OVA. I'm going over 222.
- 18:42Looking for some points here. First thing that jumped out to
- 18:44me is a really sharp line move to the over 76ers and King and
- 18:49and kings. This total opened around 2/19,
- 18:532:20 and then we immediately saw this line get up to 221.
- 18:57And then the big thing for me was 222.
- 18:59And now some shops are 222 / -, 115.
- 19:03So does it get to 222 1/2? You know, we'll have to see.
- 19:06But it's definitely trending in that direction and there's
- 19:08really been no buyback whatsoever on the under.
- 19:10It's just been all over over over over moves.
- 19:14So then I take a look at the bet split.
- 19:15So I'm saying, hey we got a big steam move to this king.
- 19:18Sixers over 219 and a half 220 up to 222 bet split jumped out
- 19:22to me 66% of bets, but 93% of the money is on the 76ers kings
- 19:28over. So that tells me only you know
- 19:302/3 of bets which would be quote UN quote public but 93% of the
- 19:33money. It's not just public looks like
- 19:35looks like wise guys are expecting this over here as well
- 19:38and maybe you get a tired legs over.
- 19:40Maybe that's the angle because again Sixers did play last
- 19:42night. Kings have only had one day off
- 19:44so they were off last night, played the night before but
- 19:47typically you know second leg go back-to-back both games, both
- 19:50team, two teams are tired. Usually the first thing that you
- 19:54lose when you're tired is playing defense.
- 19:56So that's why tired legs typically are beneficial 2 and
- 19:59over. But also looking at the referees
- 20:02all three refs are really good over refs Brent Bernanke.
- 20:05Courtney Kirkland. Moussa Daher.
- 20:07They're all between, I guess, Kirkland's more 5050, but in
- 20:11particular Bernanke and Daher. Around 50 to 54%, on to the
- 20:15over. So hopefully we get a lot of
- 20:16whistles, a lot of free throws and make our free throws.
- 20:19Also, you look at both teams in terms of pace.
- 20:22Philly's 18th. Not the fastest, at least
- 20:24they're not down to the bottom of the league, but Sacramento's
- 20:2612th, so pretty good pace. Pace is a good thing for an
- 20:29over. You know more, more, you know,
- 20:31back and forth, more possessions, more opportunities
- 20:34to score. Then you dig in a little bit
- 20:35more. Offensive efficiency.
- 20:37They're both Top 14. Philly is 14th, Sacramento is
- 20:4012th, and you look at Sacramento defensively their 20th in
- 20:44defensive efficiency. So they're kind of down toward
- 20:46the bottom of the list in terms of defense.
- 20:48And then lastly in terms of a system match, non conference
- 20:51overs in a particular non conference overs that rise, it's
- 20:54been about 56% the last few seasons, but two teams from two
- 20:57different conferences, you don't match up very often, you don't
- 21:00play each other very often. So it's only you know one or two
- 21:02times a year. So with that being said, you
- 21:05really don't know your opponent, which means you don't know how
- 21:07to match up defensively, which means that is a benefit to the
- 21:10offense. So again it's back-to-back for
- 21:12the Sixers, which again you worry about here.
- 21:15But lines kind of remain frozen at 9 most shops.
- 21:18You know Open Kings 9 pretty much stayed nine.
- 21:20I guess some shops got to 9 1/2 at one point came back down.
- 21:24But we are seeing just consistent movement to the over
- 21:26with no buy back. So I'm looking for 223 or more
- 21:30in terms of total points, guys. I'm going 76ers in Kings over
- 21:35222. So how about does it four?
- 21:39A very impromptu I guess or just a regular kind of a sleepy
- 21:42Monday edition here episode eight of the all Systems Go pod.
- 21:45I can tell you that I'm also a little bit banged up because I
- 21:49went to The MGM Springfield with my boys with my best friends
- 21:53Lars Fed Richie and Devin and we got a suite at The MGM
- 21:56Springfield and we bet on the games.
- 21:58And now the greatest luck betting on our games.
- 22:00Had a couple hits, did have Duke, did have Texas A&M.
- 22:03But we actually, it was funny. We on our way back to the room
- 22:08at the end of the night we all had 100 bucks.
- 22:11We went to the roulette table and we all said hey let's do one
- 22:14on black, put 100 bucks on black.
- 22:16Guess what it hit. So I won 100 bucks on my
- 22:18roulette. So that was my highlight of the
- 22:20trip there. But it was a lot of fun just
- 22:22getting together with the boys because as we're getting older
- 22:26and we're all 36 we all grew up together.
- 22:28You don't get to hang out as much and you got wives, got
- 22:30kids, busy lives. So it was great to hang out with
- 22:33my buddies again and again. The bets weren't the greatest
- 22:36because that's just the way it's been going here recently with
- 22:38college basketball. But it was great times and did
- 22:42hit the the black on roulette so I will take that.
- 22:44But anyway, guys, if you enjoy the all systems go pod and these
- 22:48breakdowns that I provide in terms of looking at games from a
- 22:51data-driven, sharp contrary angle.
- 22:53And if you want to learn more about sports betting and how to
- 22:56approach the betting market like Wall Street traders approach the
- 22:58stock market, or if you just think I'm a decent guy, you want
- 23:01to make my day, let me know. You appreciate the hard work
- 23:03that I that I put in grinding in the arena each day.
- 23:05There's something I would like to ask you.
- 23:07Go buy my book. I guess that's a demand.
- 23:09How about this? Can you go buy my book?
- 23:10Will you go buy my book? Because it's got everything I
- 23:13learned in the industry. How lines are set, how and why
- 23:15they move, how to read line movement, how to locate sharp
- 23:17action, how to place a bet in person or online.
- 23:20How to shop for the best line. How to set up a bankroll
- 23:22management full chapter on that. How about MLB again, We'll have
- 23:26our win total Wednesday coming up here.
- 23:28So make sure he listens to listen to Wednesday's pod
- 23:31because I've actually added one more win toll since we last
- 23:33talked. I'm still holding the the the
- 23:36Arizona D backs over 83 1/2. There's one more team that I
- 23:39just took the over on recently. So I'll have you tell you what
- 23:41that is and then also maybe I'll have some Flyers on some awards
- 23:45as well. But either way guys, you want to
- 23:47learn more about betting. It's all my book.
- 23:48So if you want to pick up a copy and go to Amazon.com and type in
- 23:52the Everything Guide to Sports betting, it would really mean a
- 23:54lot to me. Guys, how bad about does it
- 23:56another pod here in the books on a Monday?
- 23:58What do you think, guys? Can we have this insane run of
- 24:02public chalk favorites? Can can that come to an end?
- 24:05Really? It's starting to get frustrating
- 24:06again. It'll pass.
- 24:07But man, a weekend like that where all dogs get taken in the
- 24:10woodshed and all the obvious public drunk guy at the bar.
- 24:13Favorites cover sports betting. It'll make you laugh, it'll make
- 24:16you smile, it'll give you ecstasy, it'll make you cry.
- 24:18So just one of those weekends that we got to just kind of put
- 24:22behind us but continue to grind and continue to profit here.
- 24:25So my parting words as always as we finish up the pod here, stay
- 24:29sharp, stay contrarian, bet against the public, place
- 24:32yourself on the side of the house, always be with the smart
- 24:34money, never against it. And of course we'll every smart
- 24:37money play win. Of course not, because betting's
- 24:39hard. Crazy things happen like this
- 24:41weekend with with all chalk favorites.
- 24:43But here's the thing, guys. Always remember, as bad as it
- 24:45may be in the moment, we're playing the long game.
- 24:48We're going to bet thousands, 10s of thousands of bets over
- 24:50the course of our lives. Hopefully we all have long lives
- 24:53where we can bet on sports and let us bet in the afterlife, but
- 24:56a bad weekend doesn't change that.
- 24:58The fact that long term, being against the public, with the
- 25:00house, with the pros, that's going to be the successful
- 25:02strategy to become a or to become and stay winning better
- 25:06over the course of long haul. So always keep that in mind.
- 25:09I also want to mention of course and and the pod with the fact
- 25:11that hey, this pod is powered by rhythm and rhythm is freaking
- 25:14awesome. Rhythm is the ultimate AI sports

- 26:46We're down to the final two. So who's Joey going to pick?
- 26:48I don't know. I think it's -120.
- 26:50The blonde girl, the Midwestern blonde girl.
- 26:52But anyway, enjoy the sweats, guys.
- 26:54Have a great Monday. We back at it tomorrow.
