- @f1capper: All right. Welcome back to another episode of Push to Cash. We got the recap of the 500 slash Detroit GP, which is ⁓ turning around tomorrow. ⁓ a little late to the recording, but we'll get this out as soon as possible. We got Nate and Mike. Guys, that was ⁓ that was a I I don't know, one well, at least for me, one of the best indie five hundreds that I've seen. obviously the ending speaks for itself. ⁓ But a lot to kind of digest from that. ⁓ I know we were just briefly talking about it a little bit, especially our bets and whatnot. But ⁓ well first off, welcome. And ⁓ how are we doing? How are we feeling? @iN8Rodgers: You know, I I I I pulled into work today in the parking lot and I had this like little bit of like postpartum depression like hit me at like I don't get to go to the track anymore. I have to like go back to work. I don't get to like have beers with my friends sitting in the sun at the track, listen to the cars go by. Like I was just like kinda reflecting on how like much I love this event and ⁓ @Indy_Bet: Right. @iN8Rodgers: Just thinking about like it's so fun entering Speedway, Indiana for a couple weeks. It's like it almost becomes like a tropical like paradise in a way where like everyone's in a good mood, everyone's feeling good. You're not like worried about what's going on at at home. Like life isn't real at home. You know, you're just like drinking beer at at eleven on a like Monday or Tuesday and just hanging out with people and and then like you move into the race and ⁓ it's just so I I just love the event. You know, the guy next to me that I don't don't know is just like bawling as taps is going on and they do all the flyovers and stuff and we added new people into our group this year that you know one one of them turns around to me halfway through the race and she's like I'm in she's like I that like she wanted me to like renew the tickets right then because she's like I I like I will be back here like and the couple people in our group who come but you know they're just kind of there for hanging out and stuff they were locked into this race like the whole time. They're asking like strategy @f1capper: Mm-hmm. @iN8Rodgers: questions they're like chewing for people like it was it was just a great day ⁓ as as I I put at the top of my list as far as as races go ⁓ that that finish was amazing they said ⁓ Rosenquist was on the outside of Armstrong for 23 seconds which is like there's not a second lane at Indy and so for him to do that is just like insanely like big balls move ⁓ I love like some of the passes that Pillow Malouke Lucas, McLaughlin, Daly, like these guys were past three people at a time. You know, I some I some people are commenting on the lead changes that some of them are kind of artificial or fuel saving, but like if you looked behind that a little bit and you see these insane passes where people are like diving in right before the corner to pass three to four people, ⁓ it was just it was electric and I and I'm missing it already. @f1capper: Yeah, I could tell. I mean, totally is. I mean, that's the Super Bowl for just pretty much most of if not all of motorsports. And ⁓ I think the way you're describing it too is that experience. It's funny you you're talking about that and you're s I know that feeling. It's like, ⁓ my god, that you're just away from reality. You get the sport that you love so much, you get to experience it and that's what I like to tell a lot of people just about motorsports is like they don't understand that if you're going to a live event it's about the entire experience from the point of even the anticipation leading up to it but from a Thursday to a Sunday that's what that's what completes the experience for motorsports. It's not just one thing the race It's the entire thing and you described it. That's exactly why you ⁓ wanna go and attend these things, especially the Indy five hundred. So @iN8Rodgers: Yeah, I mean Mike, before you kinda talk about your day, I w the last thing I was gonna say I was thinking about today is like I almost want to set up like a scholarship fund where I'm like bringing people to the race. I will like I want people to s experience this so bad I'm gonna have to like my goal is to start a fund where I will like bring a couple of people out every year and ⁓ have bring them to the race and let them experience it. So like that's how much I love it and wanna like wanna share that. I want everyone to see it. I'll let you guys know, yeah, you could @Indy_Bet: Shoot, ha where do we apply? @f1capper: Yeah. @iN8Rodgers: I gotta I gotta win a little more, but we'll we'll work on that. @Indy_Bet: Yeah, look man, I've been I've been one time to the five hundred and I'm itching to go back. ⁓ yeah, I definitely wanna get it was it was awesome. ⁓ I've been to a ton of street courses and and different tracks and yeah, there was nothing like ⁓ the speed ⁓ at that race and just the whole everything about it ⁓ was was awesome. I was there like a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Unbelievable. I'd love to do the camping thing. I'd love to do the hospitality thing. So yeah, ⁓ we'll definitely have to have ⁓ you know, maybe one day Apex Insiders is coming live from the brickyard. yeah, look, from a gambling perspective, it was great. Like I think we nailed the handicap. ⁓ I think we were all over Molucus. There's nothing, you know, we s ⁓ we mentioned you guys are both on Felix, so we hit that. @f1capper: ⁓ yeah. @Indy_Bet: ⁓ we were on the Penske cars before pre-quall. So I think between the pot ⁓ the shows that we did with Tony and Nate, hopefully people made some some money. ⁓ I made some made some money in Grid Rivals as well. I look, I was watching the race from the beach on my phone. ⁓ I watched half inside, half out, and I was literally people were looking at me like, what is this dude's drunk. ⁓ and I might have been a little drunk. @f1capper: Yeah, I was about to say, were you? @Indy_Bet: But i it wa it was a sober moment of I've got nine to one and this guy is I knew he would be passing for the lead on that last lap. And I'm like, I got the guy in second, I got him right where I want him. Like Let's go yelling at my phone and ⁓ thinking I was about to like really hit it big and and ⁓ didn't get the Malucas nine to one but we talked about the laddering. I know ⁓ I had Malucas top three, top five, top ten, all the way up to go along with the win. So ⁓ it was great to watch that play out. ⁓ I was kinda glad we didn't get into that fuel save kind of thing at the end. like I wanted the fastest cars up front, McLaughlin ⁓ Molucas, Polo. You know, Joseph, we were right about Joseph. I don't know what he just had a brain fart. he stormed up through the field. He was right there in fifth within like 50 laps. So it was great, man. It was a great, it was great. It's a Super Bowl of indie car betting. ⁓ you get all these different options. ⁓ we hit the grid position. We hit the only we missed on the number, car number Felix was a little bit of an outlier there. Even, right, hit, ⁓ @f1capper: Yeah yeah, and ⁓ I think it was the ⁓ all the unders hit for sure. That was like that hit early on because we were averaging like one fifty five at one point. I was like we were in lap seventy five, eighty and we just kept getting those cautions, which helped that, right? And then that's ⁓ the under two twenty six fifty five wa I mean it hit. @iN8Rodgers: Fastest lap under was clear. Easy. @f1capper: I wouldn't say it was sweat free, but it was there was a little anxiety at one point because I was seeing some guys getting up to two twenty-four and I think someone got to two twenty-five. ⁓ but we hit that. I think that yeah, winning car number, which some people got at ten and a half, eleven and a half, whatever you want, Felix. And then ⁓ we I took the drivers ⁓ n I think under thirteen and a half to lead. We just hit 14. So that was unfortunate, but it's all right. You know, you're not gonna hit every prop. And then I think the other one we had was drivers not to complete a hundred laps, which they took down. I think that was with you, ⁓ in ⁓ Mike and and Tony that we talked about that one ⁓ pretty significantly. And we took that one, that did hit. ⁓ that was kind of getting close though, because I think we had like four DNFs in the first like 50 laps, and then was became a little bit of a sweat fest, and luckily we got to a hundred laps there. So ⁓ it is interesting. I d I do want to come back to Joseph Newgarden because it's starting to make me question some things, which I won't go too deep, but I I mean that was just him. That was a mistake he made. He just got onto the apron and he just fucked it. And what sucks is what you called out. Like he had raw paste. It would have been interesting to see where. He would have ended up at the end of this race and how that would have shaken up the field, especially towards the end, because he was zooming. Like he had a really fast car. and we kind of all expected Joseph Newgarden to always show up on on an oval on race day. That's just what he does. But now it's starting to question what's his mind doing in some of these races on an oval. ⁓ but yeah, like the I wonder how things would have shaken up. ⁓ without some of these cautions. We talked about the passing and how the passing was actually really, really phenomenal. If even if you didn't see it from the camera side, you could see behind like some guys were taking two, some guys were taking three. So ⁓ and towards the end, the one I think the biggest block was on Pillow because Pillow looked like first he had a bad restart on the final two laps, then he was catching speed, and then he got blocked. So there was a lot of strategy kind of going behind ⁓ in that top ten, let's just even say, on how they were positioning. So impacted for the better or for the worse. ⁓ so yeah, that was ⁓ I was kind of an interesting seeing how that actually panned out at the end, which I'm glad it did, obviously Felix hit. So @iN8Rodgers: I understand. Like Dixon and Pillow had the pace and the track position that they wouldn't wanna take that strategy that Felix and Pado did, but I was still surprised they didn't because the second I saw Felix and Pado go in there, I was like they're they're gonna win this race and then I'm like Felix is gonna win this race because of the Honda engine and the and the the fuel mileage they can get and you saw that how Pado was at much a much larger save, which Felix did get a little help from Helio ⁓ getting a toe around. But ⁓ I was just surprised you know hindsight's twenty twenty, it looks easy now, but I I mean thirty five laps stints is is real possible for guys like Dixon and Pelow. Pelow got stuck and ⁓ you know, he was probably the best one of the best cars. There was multiple guys who were really, really good, but ⁓ I was kinda surprised that they're normally the people leading the charge on doing the you know, the the strategies that are gonna like pull those things off. @f1capper: Yeah, no, it I mean it it it was an interesting take. I I can only chalk it up to Yanasi just felt like they were going to have things go their way if they just stick to what they already planned in their strategy. Why change it up? They have the fastest cars. ⁓ they looked r I mean, Palo If that didn't happen, if he stuck with he was he would easily be winning that race, I think. ⁓ I don't think it would have been a challenge, to be honest with you. So, ⁓ Yeah, it just happens. Sometimes you gotta make the you gotta you gotta pull that strategy card out of your hat and Felix did it. Pato, I mean, he looked like he was at points like dead in the water and then he showed up. So it was it was a good @iN8Rodgers: I watched him on a lot of restarts 'cause we were there on three four and and he just got ate up and it it would only be one or two spots and I I think that car was really struggling, which he he said it was. But I like h I I think it was kind of impressive he got a top five out of like the strategy call helped them, but like I don't I think this is probably his worst car that he's had in like five years and he still pulled off a top five. Like, you know, he's not he doesn't really care about a top five, but I I I didn't think @Indy_Bet: Yeah, that's good. @f1capper: Yeah. @Indy_Bet: Yeah, McLaren shit to bed. McLaren did not show up this year. I don't know. I don't know what. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah. I mean he @f1capper: They're just they're just not they're just not they they're having a bad season. And Lungard getting that win just makes it that much more impressive. And then him almost b you know, really being there in P2 and could have probably won, we don't know, but ⁓ in Barber, that just shows like what Lungard is he's a special, special driver, and just that car is not not it this year. It is just not. @Indy_Bet: Last thing before we move to Detroit, guy who cost me the most money, who couldn't even fill up his fuel tank all the way, come his car. Stingray freaking Rob. I'm that guy. I had his unders. He was the slowest car in the track. He had to pit the most. Yet he still came in on a higher position than they had him on prize picks and grid rival. And if it wasn't for him, everybody else hit. Catherine hit. ⁓ the other Colette hit, ⁓ would have been big time sweeps on all those loser plays. Stingray Rob came in what'd he come in? Nineteen, twelve I don't whatever. He like a half card. @f1capper: Yeah, I think he was like twenty twenty-one or s twenty. I think it was something like that. I mean, I I would chalk that up to and that's just you know the nature of pickums. Like normally when you get those you know, those ceiling numbers at the at the low side, sometimes you just have to automatically take the under because of just DNFs alone. And guess what? What happens if Joseph Newgarden doesn't get wreck himself outright? What happens if power doesn't have an issue? What happens if some of these @Indy_Bet: Yeah. @f1capper: ⁓ ancillary drivers don't get those DNFs, but I mean that's just that's just how Pick'ems works. @Indy_Bet: Yeah. Little lesson learned for next year. I I mean while I'm pissed about that, like it is a left like five hundred mile race. Cars always break. Something engines blow, gearboxes go, tires fall off, ⁓ people crash in the pits, ⁓ just too many times. So yeah, we gotta be careful about those. @f1capper: Yeah. So I took the one on prize picks because they just had a lower number than what Grid Rival had. And then what I was trying to think to get myself to do was take the under on Stingray Rob on Grid Rivals because there's like three or four spot difference that they had. And I was like, well, this ⁓ this is the DNF, this is the situation I do this in F1 all the time when we s would see the 19 and F twenty. Sometimes ⁓ or before this year you'd have to like take that number just automatically do it just based on DNFs alone, especially at but it's hard, right? You don't know. You can't predict those things. I didn't see how many DNFs there were compared to other years. And that's something we'll just include in our analysis moving forward is just to see what's the average DNF. And and we can, you know, work work that into our Pick's models. So ⁓ but yeah that I I think we can talk a little bit more about the Indy five hundred. I think that it is I will make one comment. So this was the first year that they didn't do Monaco and then the Indy five hundred right after. And we went straight from the Indy five hundred, which actually the the race started for F one in Canada. And I gotta say I went from being so ecstatic, like my adrenaline was rushing. Through this thing. I didn't care what F one what was happening in F1, even though I was paying attention. And then I that was done. And then I started watching F1 and I'm like, this sucks. This just sucks. I was not having fun. So ⁓ it was just kind of funny that this is just the state of F1 right now. ⁓ But we got Detroit GP. So let's go ahead and talk about that. We do have a short turnaround time. Practice starts tomorrow morning. So this is at the street circuit downtown. ⁓ it's not the Isle Bell. So unfortunately. So they've been this is their third year, right? I think it's their or is it fourth year? Fourth year. And ⁓ tricky one, right? This is a tricky one. So @iN8Rodgers: Fourth year. @f1capper: We've always seen a lot of volatility here compared to some of these other street circuits. But before we get into that, let's get your race preview and so you can talk about it before we dig into it. @iN8Rodgers: Yep, that that's you I mean you're spot on starting off it's a I called it like a funky tight bumpy track that's giving us messy races. Like they they're like Indiana Roads that those things need fixed, but you know, up up in Detroit I guess. But ⁓ it's a short lap, it's around a minute, lots of low speed corners, it's a really weird layout, not your most like proper track like we saw like them build in in Arlington, but ⁓ the drivers are kinda figuring out, they're figuring out where to pass. They can do it especially coming into turn three at the end of the that long straight which is also very bumpy. ⁓ that I've just seen if you watch the replays, the drivers get pretty physical and creative to to make some passes at other spots on the track. ⁓ another thing to note is that this is the shortest time lost on pit lane, I believe, with that kind of dual pit lane and the way the pit entry and exit is a very small like ⁓ road almost so there's not a lot of time where you're down at that ⁓ forty miles per hour or whatever whatever they keep them at. And so with how long the alternates last, I think we could see a two-stop race but since the the pit the the time loss on pit lane is so short ⁓ it'll be interesting to see if they think just going going like ⁓ full out for three stops not losing that much time and ⁓ because we're back to you have to use the two alternates the one primary ⁓ we're also back to the single car shootout and qualifying so that could get the results of qualifying a little a little wonky with guys just having ⁓ one shot at it ⁓ you've Got ⁓ to three wins to Honda here and I think that goes to their kind of engines where they can get the p the power down out of these low speed corners. ⁓ if you watched the race last year on a restart where Powers trying to taste Kirkwood, ⁓ every corner Kirkwood pulls away from ⁓ coming out of the corners because ⁓ the the Chevies didn't quite have an answer for especially the Andretti Honda's. Like I said, there's three three years of history here, so the the data's pretty limited and with how volatile it is, you don't want to look too much into the data, but ⁓ all three winners have come from the fast six. ⁓ just four out of nine people that have hit ⁓ finished on the podium have have come from the fast six, and we've seen people as far back as nineteenth and twenty-first the last two years, so ⁓ ultimately my my bets I just have way less bets, a little bit of a five hundred hangout. over but also like ⁓ three I think three years I'm down three units on this race. ⁓ it's it's a tough one to handicap but ⁓ we'll you know we'll find we'll find where the hopeful edges are. @f1capper: Yeah, ⁓ definitely trying to go look back on what did I do? I only did two bets last year, so luckily I just focused on one guard on that one. ⁓ I I don't want to look at the other years because I just remember this race being just one of those like what is happening? Everything can get shaken up. I know one thing I saw in the data was I was like, Why is Ferrucci like terrible through practice? But he's just showing up in the race, and we kind of chatted about that. It's really comes down to strategy who gets it right, who's gonna, you know, there's gonna be some cautions in there in the mix, but he still seems to put it up in that top 10, right? Like it was just kind of a weird situation. And then I tried to go back and see across the street circuits this year, and that specifically that you called out was a low speed street ⁓ cornering, because that's something I'm trying to like extract out and see. Team performances on low speed, mid speed, and high speed. And ⁓ obviously Ganassi and and Andretti are just on an another level when it comes to the cornering speeds right now. And Meyer Schenk is not that far behind. ⁓ I'd gonna be very interested to see how they they perform here. But ⁓ I mean it's it's pretty clear that they're they're clearly up there in the top two. McLaren's been struggling. ⁓ And Panskys are surprisingly there. They just have a problem with qualifying. So ⁓ yeah, I know that the we got some lines, so we can talk about those. unless Mike, you have any other opinions about what we're talking about. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah, yeah. @Indy_Bet: Yeah, ⁓ just what you guys said. Like I have a little ⁓ little asterisk on my betting model sheet on my Excel sheet that says don't bet don't waste all your MD five hundred profits betting this race. This and it there's some other ex expletives in there. So yeah, one thing I'll add is ⁓ look th there the wonky strategy stuff happens in this race. ⁓ and after the Rossi incident at the GP, I think that they will be very quick to throw cautions, ⁓ if somebody puts it in the wall or or something like that, which makes you know, which makes people getting hung out. You know, they're not gonna do the whole let everybody get a chance to get into pit lane thing. And you know, people then they'll throw the caution, it'll screw somebody over, and then they'll you know, somebody'll bitch about that and then they'll go back to you know it's a circle. But ⁓ but yeah, that just makes this even more kind of out there. Look, I I mean I ⁓ if you can find Kirkwood at he's the class of the field here. He was the class of the field last year. He he kept getting shuffled back in strategy and he would carve his way right through the field. you know, so if you can find Kirkwood or you're just gonna make one bet, just bet Kirkwood. ⁓ I found three to one on a prediction market. I don't know about the two to one. I think maybe you hope for him to not qualify well in this whole you know, this whole new qualifying format. It's not out of the realm of possibilities he qualifies three, four, five, six, or four, five, six, and maybe we get four to one or five to one. so I would try to get money on Kirkwood, and then the only Bet I have made that I like on the board is willpower top three. So power top three, I saw plus three twenty, it's down to plus two fifty, so people are betting it. ⁓ power was good here in Penske, now power gets the Andretti car ⁓ that was heard of was dominant here for a couple years in. So that's it. Kirkwood, power, and then I think we have some phase we can talk about a good rival later. @f1capper: Yep. Yeah. I I'm kind of I have that asterisk too. Also the chaos, which makes me want to say, hold up, let's maybe p be patient here. So you had the opportunity for 18 to 1 on power, which I would have done. and I'm not one to really do that often. Now that's down to eleven to one, even some spots nine to one. I think and Kirkwood opened up as like w co favorites with Pelow, like you said, below, you know, three to one, something like that. ⁓ one thing that is causing me pause is exactly what you said. Like ⁓ there is something though Long Beach and Dretti didn't like they didn't look like they were themselves at Long Beach. And I know that these are two different street circuits, but they weren't really themselves ⁓ going into that. And same with St. Pete's, they did have a dominating performance in Arlington, but that was it. Like t that's I'm just looking back at what what I'm seeing in so far. Like, yes, Andretti has a car that should be very good here. But if we're gonna get volatility, I think my mind is saying patience. There could be something crazy. Would not surprise me if like Scott McLaughlin somehow gets pull and then you see just this random top five, and then there's Kirkwood right there. And maybe he does better in the race. And that's what's kind of making me pause not just on Kirkwood but ⁓ power. I'm not gonna touch Erickson, but I'm kinda like in that I don't know. Do I take that? Do I take that top three? Do I take I just don't know. ⁓ @Indy_Bet: You could wait till after calls. I mean, I I don't have any problem. If you told me, hey, I'm just gonna wait till calls, how much better if Kirkwood gets poll, yeah, he's probably dropping even money, maybe minus one ten or something. I still think like that's a little bit of a long I don't think he I think he doesn't think he even needs to get the poll. So I can see them saving the tire in that last lap shootout and just saying, Yeah, we're good with fourth or fifth. @f1capper: Yeah. @Indy_Bet: And then that's great for us as gamblers 'cause we can come in and be like, perfect, we now get him at three to one or he'll probably still be plus two fifty. Yeah. So, yeah, look, d ⁓ be careful betting this race because you could see ⁓ I call it, you know, an Ericsson moment where Just like s that's how the guy gets his wins, stupid crap happens, ⁓ and he gets lucky and you go, you know, you crash on lap one and then you run the different the off strategy and come back. You know, if you if we know b Dixon, maybe top three Dixon, 'cause he is the king of doing the kind of strategy stuff and he's in a Ganassi car, ⁓ hopefully he doesn't win. But yeah, you gotta be ⁓ just keep your units low. Obviously you're gonna we're gonna bet something on the race, but Don't go crazy. @f1capper: Yep. Nate, what do you got? @iN8Rodgers: ⁓ I I did take power at the the eighteen to one. I took the power top three at three to one. for what it's worth, Kirkwood has kinda ranked Detroit as their top street circuit. So I and like Saint Pete's probably their lowest, so ⁓ you know, we would expect some some good performance from them. here, especially just at least qualifying and it it kinda sucks for them that their best track has got so much randomness in the race that they can't even ⁓ you know, really guarantee a victory. But ⁓ I never get to bet Polo for anything. I found ⁓ at plus one twenty five for top three. ⁓ I I took that with some excitement because I I just never get to bet Polo and I I get s some plus money here. ⁓ did a whole unit on that. ⁓ did Less than a quarter unit on Ericsson at plus eight fifty top three. ⁓ I'm not really gonna touch him to win. so normally I I would have probably three or four people to win by now spread across a little bit, but I just have power right now. I did go ahead and take all the groups for really low, about a quarter unit each or less. I took power in group A over Lungard, Malucas, and Newgarden. I took Dixon at plus three fifty over Pado, McLaughlin, and Felix, and I took Rossi at plus one ninety over Rasmussen, Fruci and Grosjon. ⁓ mostly just not trusting those those three guys at the bottom, especially Grosjan and Rasmussen, but That is that's all I have. I I have this kinda like story that I'm brewing up in my mind that McLaughlin has kinda exercised some demons of finishing the five hundred and coming up third having a really good race and that like you said he's gonna get pulled here, maybe win the thing since Finski has been pretty good here, but ⁓ I haven't placed any money on it because like you said, they're qualifying, which is normally good here at Detroit ⁓ has been just up and down on you know, the in the hybrid era at Street Circuits the last year, two years. @f1capper: Yeah, I mean that's what I'm kind of wanting to s kind of see tomorrow, especially too, with the practices. We'll get some good data on that and maybe validate some stuff here. I'm willing to wait at this point with some of the outrights. The top three numbers, I mean I I don't nothing's ⁓ it one, if you can get Pelow at whatever number you got it at, what did you say plus one twenty five? @iN8Rodgers: Yeah. @f1capper: For top three, that's you gotta do it. Anything below like minus one twenty-five, one go for it. Hit hit that unit button, smash. Just smash that. Why not? ⁓ you're still getting a Ganassi, you're still getting Pelow. I know it's volatile, but I am gonna be paying attention to Penske. I say that every week. I feel like I'm a broken record, and then something happens and I'm like, Nope, I'm done, I'm off that train, and then It's just hard to ignore it though. I just see it week in, week out. I'm like, my God, this this team, if they could just pull it all together at some point, and everyone just speaks from pits to to the way they're they're setting up the car from the to the engineers and everything. The drivers, they could be up there. They just I don't know. I can't I can't figure it out. And that's the wrinkle. That's the wrinkle into The top markets right now, at least what we're getting offered. I wish we got top fives, but ⁓ I don't think we're gonna get any. We'll we'll see. I do like that Dixon play. That was one that I've been eyeing like significantly. Like I said, I hate groups, but it seems like this year I'm only playing Dixon in these groups because of the odds that they're giving you. Plus 350. ⁓ at least I don't know if this group is different, but it has Pato, Scott, and Felix in there. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah. @f1capper: So you're getting plus three fifty for Scott in a Ganassi. That's actually pretty solid. Com I I feel like this could be a Scott wins this group, but I'm all but there to place that bet and I might actually do it just because I will be so mad if it hits and I I didn't back it. So that is gonna be the one play I'll probably go into the weekend with. ⁓ @Indy_Bet: could play ⁓ unit on Scott and and do a quarter on McLaughlin ⁓ to cover the Scott bet. ⁓ I'm not sure I'm gonna do that, but I like to do that sometimes if I if I'm not sure, but yeah I lean the same way. @f1capper: Yeah. I I'm s I'm kinda I'm kinda hesitant to start doing getting messy with that now. I wanna wait till prequal, but I do like the number that it's offering because you could see these numbers are gonna be like two to one, you know, plus one fifty, one seventy five right now. Get to practice. We get the numbers on Sunday and it's gonna be probably a different setup in a group, and maybe you get lucky. Maybe it's no longer that and you've got a pretty good situation going, or it goes the other way. So I'm gonna do it. ⁓ I'm gonna do it right now, actually. ⁓ since ⁓ let's do it. ⁓ as we're talking. So ⁓ what else? What else you guys got? @iN8Rodgers: Like you got your grid rivals? @Indy_Bet: ⁓ if you wanna move to Grid Rivals, yeah. I got on Grid Rivals today. ⁓ I think the one I I made two bets, but I think the one I liked the best was ⁓ Ferrucci worse than twelve and a half and Hauger worse than fifteen and a half. I almost clicked Stingray instead of Hauger, but Hauger being at fifteen versus Stingray's twenty something. ⁓ I'm not even sure how many cars are in this race. I like I get conf Indy Indy like throws my mind off. I'm like, ⁓ 33 cars. But now it's like 20 something, right? 45. Okay. ⁓ sometimes people run a couple races. But yeah, I I want I think the Ferrucci number is overvalued because of what happened last year, which we know was a fake ⁓ top five or second, right? ⁓ so I think that 12 and a half is for a street course for Ferrucci. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah, twenty five. @Indy_Bet: ⁓ is too big and I think the Hauger number. Yeah, he did well at St. Pete. It is a similar course. ⁓ but still back half of the field for the rookie. I th I can see him putting it in the wall or crashing. ⁓ so those are the that's the one one I made. The other one real quick, ⁓ I did Malucas and power better than their numbers, five and a half and seven and a half, but less conviction there. @f1capper: Yeah I don't want to mess with Ferrucci yet. I don't I know that he just maybe I can get a @Indy_Bet: It's just too low. @f1capper: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I hear you. It's at thirteen and a half. I w I I wanted to do that one too, because that's the way you should go with him is is take that under. But I said, ⁓ you know, I went a different route. Which actually you disag one of you disagre or Nate, you disagree with, which was Ray Hall at thirteen and a half. I went worse. I j I know he's done. They've looked better. ⁓ Long Beach and they seem to have something, but it's just I felt like the number now has come down a little too much. I thought to myself and I do this exercise is what if the number was twelve and a half? What would you take at twelve and a half? Just one spot because he's at 13 and a half. And I was like, ⁓ easily I would take worse. Right. Like that's where I would be with my mind. And then I was like, if it's at 14 and a half, would you take that? I'd be like, Probably, but not necessarily. And then so that's where I was like, you know what, I think thirteen and a half is is becoming that ceiling, so and I wanted to place something I probably should have done Ferrucci. ⁓ but I just I took it off a whim this morning actually when I saw that I got the update on it and and took that. So ⁓ I did pair it. I'd like the pair that I had, which was Grosjon worse. We're doing the Grosjon fade this weekend, although I feel like he might somehow Find it. So he was at sixteen and a half. But the other one I had strong convinc conviction about was ⁓ Rossi under ten and a half and then Melukas better. Although I'm feel like I'm playing with fire with Melucas, but I felt like seven and a half, he's done superb in that Penskey. Like he's been consistent. Let's stick with it. We're gonna go under. So @Indy_Bet: I like those both of those Rossi Molucus. Yeah. Cosine. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah, I have not played anything yet and and part of the reason on that Ray Hall is is I do think you're right is that I would have preferred more like a fourteen fifteen if I am gonna play that. ⁓ I just do lean him doing better. But the I I agree on the that that number is moving kind of far like almost too far to where you know, I understand how you get to taking his worst there, but ⁓ also, you know, if I like Willpower to win and get top three, then obviously I like him at the six he is now. @f1capper: ⁓ he's at six. ⁓ @iN8Rodgers: Yeah, which is kinda weird. Malucas moved down to six point five, but power's at six, so I I'm probably gonna move on that now. at least the power part. @f1capper: Yeah. I'm glad I waited on that by the way, because I was like thinking five and a half better and I was like, Let me wait, let me see if I do something with bets first before I do that. ⁓ I I'm starting to like that at six for sure. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah, I'm not really sure why it would it would move that way, but ⁓ I'll I think I'm gonna take it at that point. Other than that it's just tough. Like you know, you you kinda just pick some of these guys like like a Siegel or Foster or whatever, you know, it's it's it's it's tough 'cause you you know they're not quality, but they could finish twelfth, eighth for whatever reason. And so that's I just haven't quite put together where I'm at. I'll probably wait and see where people are at, but it'll overall it's just gonna be lighter for me. @f1capper: Yeah, I'm with you. I I kinda wanna do that. ⁓ yeah, and then Rossi got bumped to eleven and a half now already. ⁓ did you just move it? Is that what happened? Nice. ⁓ @Indy_Bet: That's because I just literally said it. I was like that that looks good. ⁓ you gotta remember the DNFs. They're gonna be it's a s height street course. ⁓ there's probably gonna be, I don't know, at least four or five retired cars, my guess, at least. ⁓ I think that is a fact. @f1capper: Yeah. Yeah. And we said there's twenty five, twenty five cars, right? Okay. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah. What about what do you guys think about fading the exhausted Felix Rosenquist that's been that on @f1capper: I was about to bring that up, guys. I was about to bring that up as a topic. Like nine and a half. Okay. Now we should have the conversation. He's got a hangover now, right? Like literally and figuratively. @Indy_Bet: Yeah, it's worse. I looked at that. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah. Yeah, I was @Indy_Bet: I looked at that but he qualif he he's been qualifying well everywhere. ⁓ it was I just wanted to stay away. ⁓ what if all of a sudden like he's got this like 'cause he's always been a perennial, like can't can't win the race. He just won. Now like maybe I don't know, maybe he drives a little more aggressively. I don't know. Like there's yeah, it was fate or nothing with him. He doesn't he was @iN8Rodgers: Right. @Indy_Bet: He was like playing bumper cars in this race last year. ⁓ he I think he crashed multiple times, but like not hard enough to like get the not hard enough for the car to be ⁓ sent until they actually I think Foster ran into the back of him. ⁓ yeah, Foster lost something, ran into the back of him, but before that he was cr he was playing bumper cars and was a mess at this track. So I don't think he's any good here. so it's worse or nothing, but yeah, I don't know. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah, that was brutal. @f1capper: Well, here's just to kind of give you guys a little perspective. In twenty twenty three, he did fine. He started the grid at nine and went to third in twenty twenty-four, twenty-second and got up to eighth. And then yes, last year he was fourteenth and then had a DNF. So it's been inconsistent up ⁓ the past two years. That it is, it is, but I I don't have the @Indy_Bet: That's a lot of positions gained the first two years. I mean @f1capper: True context, I would have to go back and see what actually got there, but it could be like strategy, right? Like things like that. ⁓ I think just if you're just looking at the board, you you got a lot of sixteen and a half, right? And I think that's it's kind of a trap right now, is playing that's those sixteen, seventeen, fifteen and a half. Like they're trying to trap you on those. So like where are our ceilings? I don't think he's hit his ceilings so much as we're now getting into that territory where You have an opportunity in for him specifically because he's a top driver. He's a top ten driver. Now he the only way you could look is wars because of that situation. So I I kinda see the vision there with what Nate is calling out. Do we do it? Is the question. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah, and I was I remember a couple of years ago I looked at this like, ⁓ there's gotta just be this trend where the guy shows up and does terrible and and it's kinda mixed, like no one like wins again the next week or anything. But I was kinda hoping that number would be more like eight and a half or something and I'd be all over it. ⁓ 'cause now he's he's still kinda top ten, which is just kind of that line, but ⁓ for sure I'm I'm only looking to fade that of just th I mean they keep those guys so busy after they win. ⁓ @f1capper: Mm-hmm. @iN8Rodgers: And he's just got a he's got a newborn baby. Like he's already not sleeping, so @f1capper: Well we gotta we gotta do a pod play and I feel like that has to be one because we've talked about it now at length. So we're gonna try it. If you're listening, I mean tail at at caution here. So who do I pair it with? Who do we want the at eleven and a half? He's bumped now. I'm afraid because I I think he's @Indy_Bet: Nice. @iN8Rodgers: ⁓ @Indy_Bet: I still go under. Gonna have to move his feet a little bit. ⁓ @iN8Rodgers: I really like the power at six, but @f1capper: Alright. I because I haven't done power yet, I'm gonna do a two card. We'll do power at better with that one. Because I already got Rossi. Let me let me let me diversify out. Yeah. @Indy_Bet: Yeah, but Power's good. I like Power as well. I mean he's ⁓ like I said, best bets, top three, so @f1capper: Yeah. So let's do it. We'll we'll do that as our as our pod play. Boom, it's in. @iN8Rodgers: I'm gonna take that, send it to my plug. @f1capper: All right. Oops. Did not want to do that. Cool. All right. ⁓ we don't have price picks, do we? ⁓ let me just do a quick glance and see. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah, I didn't see it. I'm kinda wondering if they just jump ship and don't post anymore after they're all @f1capper: Well what's funny was I gave the money back during the Indy five hundred, but on Grid Rival side I did perfectly fine. ⁓ so I'm like, ⁓ I want a chance to win my Indy five hundred money back. 'Cause a stupid new garden. I had I knew I shouldn't have done that. I had a couple under seven and a halves with him and unfortunately he wrecked. ⁓ that sucks. No. @Indy_Bet: No indie car that I see. @iN8Rodgers: Yeah. @f1capper: No. Well, great. I am looking forward to seeing them back on a straight circuit. I know it sounds weird, but it is kind of fun to see them. I feel like now we've we've got the crescendo done. Let's see how the rest of the season goes. Now it's the championship. Let's get back to it. Let's go, let's go see who's going to keep ⁓ rising and falling at this point. So ⁓ any last comments or Bets or anything you want to call out? @iN8Rodgers: Well, I I think on that is I think at this point in the season we start to see some of these kind of frustrations grow with driver to driver, especially you shove ⁓ on this tiny little street track where they've been you know, they've been on this massive oval for a couple of weeks but they've been pretty aggressive with each other and so I I think, you know, and some people are just out of championship contention, so this is where I think that's partially why it gets so crazy is because these guys ⁓ you know, it's they're it's just gonna get a little testy I think from Here on out. @f1capper: Yep. No, I looking forward to that. Actually more drama for us cinema. So ⁓ no cool. Well we'll see you guys tomorrow and ⁓ look forward to hopefully we will break any kind of asterisk and say we're gonna profit from Detroit GP. So good luck. @iN8Rodgers: Fun. Yeah, yeah. I believe. @Indy_Bet: Look.
