- 0:08Speaker 2: Knows God Today, it's all bad news. It's a Handle day.
- 0:15Speaker 2: You need some spiritual advice to make you feel better.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I'm going to suggest you listen on Sundays to the
- 0:22Speaker 2: Jesus Show here on KFI, and maybe you'll feel better
- 0:25Speaker 2: unless Jesus is honest with you and tells you God
- 0:29Speaker 2: doesn't like you.
- 0:30Speaker 3: He really doesn't.
- 0:32Speaker 1: And now Handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:36Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Good morning everybody. Tuesday morning, March seventeen.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Saint Patrick's Day yep, yep, yep all over the country
- 0:57Speaker 2: in Ireland. The only reason they do anything about Saint
- 1:00Speaker 2: Patrick's Days because the US celebrates Saint Patrick's Day and
- 1:04Speaker 2: Ireland follows the US's lead. For some reason. It's become,
- 1:08Speaker 2: you know, like a massive holiday. And the same thing
- 1:11Speaker 2: with Halloween. You know, their costume parties all over the
- 1:13Speaker 2: world because of the US.
- 1:15Speaker 3: So just stuff.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Oh. I got a call last night from Ronnie Paskin,
- 1:21Speaker 2: who owns Brent's Delhi, because ABC did a thing on
- 1:27Speaker 2: another DELI goes, damn it.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Can you would you do a shout out for me?
- 1:31Speaker 2: I go.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Yeah, of course I will.
- 1:32Speaker 2: So I am telling you this is a shout out
- 1:37Speaker 2: that Brent's Delhi has corn beef and cabbage, and you
- 1:41Speaker 2: know how they do corn beef guys, just incredible. Also,
- 1:44Speaker 2: they do something extraordinary which no other delis do. The
- 1:50Speaker 2: waiters on Saint Patrick's Day. He hires only dwarfs who
- 1:54Speaker 2: are dressed in green. His regular waiters take the day off.
- 1:59Speaker 2: So if you want to see the dwarfs running around
- 2:01Speaker 2: taking orders and delivering the corn beef.
- 2:04Speaker 3: And cabbage, that's where you want to go. Is Brent's West.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Lakes a big promise, that's a big promise. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 2: it's worth it. In they're in west Lake and northwards.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I've taken you to Brince Neil many times. Yea, the
- 2:21Speaker 2: best alli in the country.
- 2:23Speaker 4: He a very kind man and the restaurants run beautifully.
- 2:28Speaker 4: But the food is fantastic.
- 2:30Speaker 3: It is.
- 2:30Speaker 2: And every time I go, I get free bagel chips
- 2:33Speaker 2: and I go, wow, that's great. And I look at
- 2:34Speaker 2: every other table and they get bagel chips. Oh well,
- 2:37Speaker 2: so much for that. And they all have talk shows.
- 2:42Speaker 2: The only person in green today.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Is I'm Green, Amy's Green.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Wait, where are you Green? I see brown.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Well it's the way it translats. But it is a green.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Is that olive?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like that's not really green. All of is olive.
- 2:58Speaker 2: That's not green.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Colorist, I see how it is.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I am a colorist.
- 3:03Speaker 2: For example, olive is a Mediterranean looking person, right, green,
- 3:11Speaker 2: as in Saint Patrick's say, green is just is what
- 3:13Speaker 2: you look like after you've eaten bad food and you're
- 3:17Speaker 2: puking into the toilet.
- 3:18Speaker 3: There's a big difference. So Amy, you're the only one
- 3:22Speaker 3: that is wearing Saint Patrick's Day green.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Yep.
- 3:24Speaker 5: It's my one green shirt. I break it out every
- 3:27Speaker 5: Saint Patrick's Day.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Yep.
- 3:28Speaker 2: And there it is as perier on it all right. Yes,
- 3:33Speaker 2: And Neil the olive man, good morning.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Neil, good morning.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Will youam Cono dressed in his plaid shirt which always
- 3:44Speaker 2: where's green?
- 3:45Speaker 3: I can't come on?
- 3:48Speaker 2: And he's drunk on top of that. Yeah okay, and
- 3:58Speaker 2: and good morning an good okay. And I'm gonna remember
- 4:02Speaker 2: now which I did yesterday. Will Coleschreiber is not here,
- 4:09Speaker 2: not here though tomorrow, No, well tomorrow I'll.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Forget, but today tomorrow, That's exactly.
- 4:17Speaker 2: What I'm saying. Tomorrow I'll forget that he has returned.
- 4:23Speaker 2: All right, lot's going on today. As always, the president
- 4:28Speaker 2: is doing some great stuff. I mean, just begging, while
- 4:32Speaker 2: not begging, asking for European help with the Straight of
- 4:36Speaker 2: Horn moves. Europe is pulling back and he says.
- 4:39Speaker 3: We don't need them anyway.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I just wanted to see if they were going to
- 4:43Speaker 2: be on our side. Oh God, I love all this stuff. Okay,
- 4:46Speaker 2: what needs to be done? By the way, what is
- 4:48Speaker 2: he asking for their help.
- 4:50Speaker 3: In guarding and opening up the Straight of Horn moves?
- 4:53Speaker 2: If there are enough warships in the Strait and even
- 4:57Speaker 2: to the point of escorting ships through the straight that
- 5:01Speaker 2: takes away Iran's power, because that's all they have at
- 5:04Speaker 2: the Straight of Horror Moves, nothing else. That's the only ammunition.
- 5:08Speaker 2: The only card they are holding is the Straight of
- 5:10Speaker 2: Horror moves.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:11Speaker 2: As a matter of fact, a little bit of news
- 5:13Speaker 2: in that regard as we open up handle on the
- 5:15Speaker 2: news with Amy Neil and me Lee's stories. It is
- 5:21Speaker 2: not good to be one of the senior leaders in Iran.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Another high level Iranian has been killed by the Israelis.
- 5:29Speaker 2: This time around, it's Iran's security chief Lura Johnny and
- 5:35Speaker 2: the commander of Basiege, which is their paramilitary sort of army.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Israel has really good intelligence. My guess is that senior
- 5:47Speaker 2: leadership is running a little bit scared right now, wondering
- 5:51Speaker 2: when they're going to be taken out. But once again,
- 5:55Speaker 2: you know, high high end folks. We have not yet
- 5:58Speaker 2: seen a job. But Jabi is that the way he
- 6:03Speaker 2: pronounced it? Amy mushabah, thank you homony. Who is the
- 6:10Speaker 2: son of the Ayatola? Wait wait, wait, the stupid son
- 6:18Speaker 2: he and he may be highly disfigured. He has not
- 6:21Speaker 2: come out. There's no video of him at all. There's
- 6:24Speaker 2: been one statement released by the Iranian government by the clergy,
- 6:29Speaker 2: and there's.
- 6:29Speaker 5: All kinds of rumors flying that he was flown to
- 6:31Speaker 5: Russia to be treated, all kinds of stuff. We don't Yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 5: we don't have confirmation of it.
- 6:36Speaker 3: No, none of that.
- 6:37Speaker 2: And there if he is seriously wounded, if his face
- 6:40Speaker 2: does look like a Pepperoni pizza, it is going to
- 6:43Speaker 2: be uh. It's not going to help Iran very much.
- 6:47Speaker 2: So anyway, another killing of two senior senior members of
- 6:53Speaker 2: the Iranian In this case it's the Iranian security and
- 6:57Speaker 2: and a paramilitary force.
- 7:00Speaker 5: Judge says no to RFK. A federal judge has blocked
- 7:06Speaker 5: the government from implementing a series of decisions on vaccines
- 7:09Speaker 5: made over the last year by Health Secretary Robert F.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Kennedy Junior. It brought the judges ruling brought in abrupt
- 7:16Speaker 5: hall to major changes that Kennedy, who has long been
- 7:20Speaker 5: skeptical of vaccine, is at vaccines. It's set in motion
- 7:23Speaker 5: upending national vaccine policy and making sweeping revisions to recommendations
- 7:27Speaker 5: for what shots should be given to kids and when.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Interesting because during his hearings he said outright he is
- 7:35Speaker 2: not going to change vaccine policy straight out, and then
- 7:40Speaker 2: as soon as he was confirmed, he started changing vaccine policy.
- 7:44Speaker 2: And this one, the judge straight out said that when
- 7:49Speaker 2: Kennedy fired the panel that recommends to the CDC as
- 7:55Speaker 2: far as what vaccines should be involved, what recommended vaccines
- 8:00Speaker 2: should be released, the judge said, prior to this panel,
- 8:06Speaker 2: the recommendations were based on science, were based on people
- 8:09Speaker 2: that know what they're doing. The recommendations now is based
- 8:13Speaker 2: on nothing. It's strictly an anti vaccine premise. And the
- 8:20Speaker 2: judge said, you can't do that, all right, So.
- 8:27Speaker 4: The most detailed account yet on how American personnel have
- 8:32Speaker 4: been you know, at or with their partners. You have
- 8:37Speaker 4: the number of US troops and surrounding countries who are
- 8:45Speaker 4: wounded during the US Israeli campaign against Iran now exceeds
- 8:49Speaker 4: two hundred across seven countries. So you had a US
- 8:54Speaker 4: military spokesperson coming out on Monday yesterday to provide that
- 9:00Speaker 4: some injuries have been reported only you know, the past
- 9:03Speaker 4: few days. Some early on we heard about. But that's
- 9:06Speaker 4: where we stand right now, across seven countries, two hundred troops.
- 9:11Speaker 2: And that's because Iran is attacking her neighbor countries around
- 9:16Speaker 2: the Gulf, and there are Americans there. A lot of
- 9:21Speaker 2: bases have been hit, embassies have been hit, and there
- 9:24Speaker 2: are people that are in those Americans are in there.
- 9:27Speaker 2: So I wonder how big a change this whole thing
- 9:30Speaker 2: is going to be if the President puts boots on
- 9:33Speaker 2: the ground, which he may very well at this point,
- 9:36Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I don't think that's a whole different.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Whole different and Americans die, service people die. I think
- 9:44Speaker 2: his MAGA followers are going to they're already not happy.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I think they're going to be very very unhappy.
- 9:51Speaker 5: Iran has fired drones into Dubai. Explosions were heard as
- 9:58Speaker 5: the UAE mil plitarry work to intercept incoming Iranian fire.
- 10:04Speaker 5: They closed their airspace for a while. That happened last
- 10:08Speaker 5: early last evening, and then they opened it up shortly
- 10:11Speaker 5: after that. But the airspace in the UAE was closed
- 10:14Speaker 5: because of the Iranian incoming drone attacks. Iranian missiles or
- 10:20Speaker 5: drones also hit in Baghdad, Iraq. Hid in a hotel
- 10:25Speaker 5: that's a used for diplomats in that fortified green zone
- 10:30Speaker 5: near the embassy.
- 10:32Speaker 2: And I'm going to Dubai in October, sure you are. Yeah, Well,
- 10:36Speaker 2: now we're changing our vacation to Pakoima definitely.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 10:42Speaker 4: If you're gonna lessen the gunfire. But that's a joke, everybody.
- 10:48Speaker 4: I love Pacoima. Yeah, all right, nothing like calling the
- 10:55Speaker 4: power company. Yeah. So the lights are out where the
- 10:59Speaker 4: entire island of Cuba. So officials there in Cuba are
- 11:05Speaker 4: reporting another island wide blackout yesterday, some of eleven million people.
- 11:13Speaker 4: All of the energy. They're having economic crisis there, energy crisis.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Power grid continues to crumble. This is the third major
- 11:23Speaker 4: blackout in Cuba over the past four months. Maybe when
- 11:29Speaker 4: maybe when Trump says that he wants to do a
- 11:32Speaker 4: friendly taker of takeover of Cuba, they can let him
- 11:35Speaker 4: just until he.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Gets Oh, I think that they there's a lot of
- 11:39Speaker 2: jo then just saying the mus Yeah, there's a lot
- 11:42Speaker 2: of levels here. First of all, the president using the
- 11:46Speaker 2: federal government to go after perceived enemies, the DJ.
- 11:50Speaker 3: That is.
- 11:51Speaker 2: That is one thing, because that's very personal. The president
- 11:55Speaker 2: wielding the power of the United States like no president
- 11:58Speaker 2: has ever done well FDR. But no one's going to
- 12:02Speaker 2: argue whether that was for the good or not. He
- 12:05Speaker 2: is going after countries, and yeah, he is going after Cuba,
- 12:09Speaker 2: which I don't know why Cuba is such a threat.
- 12:11Speaker 2: I really don't.
- 12:12Speaker 4: But in any case, in his defense, he just likes
- 12:15Speaker 4: real estate, Yeah he does.
- 12:16Speaker 3: He does. He wants and what.
- 12:19Speaker 2: He wants from Cuba he wants the president to resign,
- 12:22Speaker 2: he wants the political prisoners to be freed. And if
- 12:26Speaker 2: you follow what he has done, it's not going to
- 12:30Speaker 2: be regime change. It really isn't going to change the government.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Look what he did to Maduro and the government of
- 12:36Speaker 2: Venezuela is exactly the same as it was, just with
- 12:40Speaker 2: the new president. And the reason Cuba has no oil
- 12:44Speaker 2: is because it got its oil from Venezuela. And one
- 12:48Speaker 2: of the things the President said to Venezuela is you're
- 12:51Speaker 2: not going to sell any more subsidize Cuba with oil.
- 12:56Speaker 2: No one is sending oil to Cuba, which means they
- 13:00Speaker 2: don't produce their own oil, which means they're gonna go broke.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I mean, they're not gonna have any electricity. I mean literally,
- 13:05Speaker 2: they're gonna be campfires.
- 13:08Speaker 4: They have issues beyond not how they do but not
- 13:11Speaker 4: like him, but not like yeah, but nothing like this
- 13:15Speaker 4: with no power whatsoever.
- 13:17Speaker 3: And so is the President going to get his way?
- 13:19Speaker 2: You bet you he is because the power of the
- 13:21Speaker 2: United States cannot be under uh cannot be underestimated. And
- 13:27Speaker 2: he is I mean the United States is him. He
- 13:30Speaker 2: is the United States. It's that simple. And he is
- 13:35Speaker 2: willing to use everything that the government has, military force,
- 13:39Speaker 2: well basically military force, the Department of Justice, the FBI,
- 13:44Speaker 2: all belonging to him, basically doing as he wants.
- 13:47Speaker 3: As he said outright, I will I will do whatever
- 13:51Speaker 3: I want. Period. That's that is a quote, all right.
- 13:56Speaker 5: Moving on a new fight for the person the president
- 14:00Speaker 5: an amazing Fighter Chief of Staff Susie Wilde's been diagnosed
- 14:05Speaker 5: with early stage breast cancer. They say that the President
- 14:09Speaker 5: put it out on social media yesterday. They say it
- 14:11Speaker 5: was detected early, and she will continue to serve in
- 14:15Speaker 5: her role as the White House Chief of Staff while
- 14:18Speaker 5: she undergoes treatment. President Trump said, the prognosis is excellent,
- 14:22Speaker 5: and we certainly hope so.
- 14:26Speaker 4: All right, more shifting around when it comes to those
- 14:29Speaker 4: dealing with border patrol and the like. Gregory Bovino is
- 14:34Speaker 4: set to retire, so says people surrounding him. His exit
- 14:40Speaker 4: coincides with the date that Donald Trump, our President, announced
- 14:45Speaker 4: to would be Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nomes last day
- 14:49Speaker 4: on the job. Now, a lot of people don't know this,
- 14:53Speaker 4: but you're eligible for retirement. Well, they have mandatory retirement
- 14:57Speaker 4: for people I think that carry weapons. I thought, but
- 15:00Speaker 4: at fifty seven.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Yeah, but I is going to be young.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Mandatory retirement at fifty seven. Sure you've heard of it before.
- 15:09Speaker 4: That's what Wayne Resnick had to retire too, at fifty seven.
- 15:14Speaker 4: That's pretty government standard if you carry a weapon usually, But.
- 15:21Speaker 3: What weapon did Wayne have?
- 15:23Speaker 1: Good gone.
- 15:25Speaker 3: And everybody's got everybody you ever done?
- 15:28Speaker 4: Wayne, Wayne Wayne Resnik is an excellent marksman, for one.
- 15:34Speaker 4: But I know he's a he was a parole officer.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Yeah, but let me ask you something.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Okay, However, I have friends that are FBI agents, all
- 15:42Speaker 4: of them. If they if they carry weapons, they are
- 15:45Speaker 4: mandatory retired at fifty seven years.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Of Okay, but how about giving up weapons at fifty
- 15:51Speaker 2: seven and the.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, I can move on to that. But my
- 15:55Speaker 4: understanding is that in many jobs like that order patrol,
- 16:00Speaker 4: in the like that you have a mandatory retirement at
- 16:03Speaker 4: fifty seven. I could be wrong.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Okay, well I didn't know that.
- 16:07Speaker 5: So either way, Xbox Extinction Game Stop, which is the
- 16:13Speaker 5: largest video game retailer in the world, has designated three
- 16:17Speaker 5: beloved gaming platforms Sony PlayStation three, the Xbox three sixty
- 16:21Speaker 5: and the Nintendo. We you as retro consoles. You're not
- 16:27Speaker 5: making them anymore, offering the limited time trade in credit
- 16:30Speaker 5: for the brands consoles, games, and accessories. The retro trade
- 16:35Speaker 5: in bonus offer is now through March twenty first. Wow.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I haven't played all. I don't understand anything
- 16:43Speaker 2: about game. I'm not a gamer. No, no, not at all.
- 16:46Speaker 4: You don't you don't button mash I haven't.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I haven't played a game since pong.
- 16:54Speaker 4: And you thought it was bong.
- 16:56Speaker 3: No, no bong. I knew what a bong was, so
- 16:59Speaker 3: I knew it into.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Okay. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will start opening day for the Dodgers.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Same player, of course, who threw the last pitch of
- 17:11Speaker 4: their back to back championship, will now throw the first
- 17:14Speaker 4: pitch of the Dodgers attempt for a three peat.
- 17:18Speaker 2: It's supposed to show you how how good Japanese baseball is.
- 17:25Speaker 2: It's uh, you know, these ballplayers are extraordinary.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Well isn't a Japanese company going to own the field? Now?
- 17:33Speaker 3: Yeah, well isn't that true?
- 17:35Speaker 5: Yeah, they're doing naming rights for the field, and you're.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Gonna have the have bat Day, they have bibble Day,
- 17:41Speaker 2: They're gonna have Sushi Day.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I mean they're going to have.
- 17:45Speaker 5: They don't have a sushi day, but they do have
- 17:48Speaker 5: Oh yuck, but they do have. Since Shohey joined the team,
- 17:52Speaker 5: they've got like twelve new major sponsors and products, and
- 17:56Speaker 5: they do they even do like a Japanese tour of
- 18:01Speaker 5: the stadium.
- 18:02Speaker 3: That's wild anything.
- 18:04Speaker 2: December seventh, do they celebrate that They move along, keep
- 18:08Speaker 2: it okay, keep it moving all right.
- 18:12Speaker 5: Hyundai is stopping all sales of a popular suv. It's
- 18:15Speaker 5: issued a stop sale order and is planning to recall
- 18:19Speaker 5: more than sixty thousand Palisade SUVs. There was a fatal
- 18:25Speaker 5: incident involving a two year old girl in Ohio. So
- 18:29Speaker 5: the Palisade is close to the Kia Tel You Ride
- 18:33Speaker 5: popular model, and it's got that third row back seat.
- 18:37Speaker 5: Well in certain situations, the second and third row power seats.
- 18:41Speaker 5: Power seats may not detect content contact with an occupied
- 18:46Speaker 5: I can't talk an occupant or object as attendance.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Does that mean that there was a two year old
- 18:52Speaker 2: in that seat and the back with its motor comes
- 18:57Speaker 2: down and that poor kid is between the sea?
- 19:00Speaker 3: Some assuming that's what happened.
- 19:01Speaker 5: They didn't give full details, but if you if.
- 19:04Speaker 2: You extrapolate on that, that's probably what happened.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the problem.
- 19:08Speaker 4: You know, we hear about recalls, but stop sales or things.
- 19:13Speaker 4: I don't know the last time I heard something like
- 19:15Speaker 4: that when they said just shut it down.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Wow, Yeah, they have a stop sale.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Japanese cars they do a stop stop sail every December seventh.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I'm going to keep on going with that. Okay, that
- 19:28Speaker 2: is a theme that I think is very strong, even
- 19:30Speaker 2: though it's the Saint Patrick state.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Okay, okay, So new navigation, You've got Google mac Maps
- 19:40Speaker 4: bringing help to the driver in a different way. So
- 19:44Speaker 4: we've gone from just having the maps showing us where
- 19:47Speaker 4: trafficked is, but now Google mac Maps. I'm drinking the
- 19:52Speaker 4: same water as.
- 19:52Speaker 3: You, age you are.
- 19:53Speaker 5: I hate that for you.
- 19:55Speaker 4: I upgrade that could make the world's most popular navigation
- 19:59Speaker 4: app even better. And this is kind of cool. So
- 20:02Speaker 4: you're gonna love this bill. Google has officially introduced ass
- 20:07Speaker 4: ask Maps.
- 20:09Speaker 2: So this app, Yeah, it's a very special that's a
- 20:12Speaker 2: very special app.
- 20:14Speaker 4: You know your way around there already, so but you
- 20:18Speaker 4: can ask now complex real world questions that a map
- 20:23Speaker 4: could never answer before. And now you can you know
- 20:27Speaker 4: about your driving experience or whatever you need. And it's
- 20:31Speaker 4: going to get more intelligent.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Yeah, as I I'm thinking of all the crazy stuff,
- 20:36Speaker 2: the crazy ass stuff that I'm obviously going through that
- 20:40Speaker 2: will offend everybody, I'm guessing and this is I think
- 20:45Speaker 2: this maybe reality is you go past the pizza.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Parlor and you go, how is that?
- 20:51Speaker 2: How good is the pizza there and they go through
- 20:53Speaker 2: and go here are the reviews. Here is when that's
- 20:59Speaker 2: least crowded. Here is, and just get great information that
- 21:02Speaker 2: you would want to know.
- 21:03Speaker 4: There's so much information out there, and the more AI
- 21:07Speaker 4: we get, the more it can sift through it in
- 21:08Speaker 4: real time. I bet it's going to be problem is
- 21:12Speaker 4: they all have different names.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Oh I have Oh do I have an AI story
- 21:17Speaker 2: to share with you at A thirty this morning?
- 21:21Speaker 3: It is Abut it really is.
- 21:23Speaker 5: The Kennedy Centers closing. The board of directors voted yesterday
- 21:28Speaker 5: to shutdown operations for two years after the fourth of July,
- 21:32Speaker 5: and there's a bunch of celebrations planned now. President Trump
- 21:36Speaker 5: has cited the need for repairs as a reason for
- 21:39Speaker 5: the closure, but there's also been other things going on,
- 21:44Speaker 5: like a lot of people resigning and a lot of
- 21:47Speaker 5: performers saying nope, we're not performing at the Trump Kennedy Center.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yeah, so how much of that, you're right, how much
- 21:54Speaker 2: of that is in response to people bailing out the center?
- 21:59Speaker 2: The performance is half empty? Yeah, we don't know, although
- 22:03Speaker 2: he has been saying that it needs refurbishing for a
- 22:07Speaker 2: long time, and you're not being fair it's not the
- 22:10Speaker 2: Kennedy Center. People are miss mispronouncing or mislabeling it. It
- 22:17Speaker 2: is the Donald J. Trump Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.
- 22:25Speaker 2: And by the way, the vote to shut it down
- 22:27Speaker 2: for two years was unanimous and even the chairman, Donald Trump,
- 22:34Speaker 2: who I don't think, introduced that resolution. Maybe it was
- 22:37Speaker 2: one of his hand picked members of the board after
- 22:41Speaker 2: he fired all of them when he came into office.
- 22:45Speaker 4: Okay, speaking of well, not really firing but cancelations. This
- 22:52Speaker 4: deals with some two hundred thousand immigrant Trump truck drivers.
- 22:57Speaker 4: You remember, was it last summer We had some pretty
- 23:01Speaker 4: high profile accidents dealing with drivers. Well, so Trump is
- 23:09Speaker 4: going in He's now going to start pulling commercial driver's
- 23:14Speaker 4: licenses for immigrants under this new Trump administration rule that
- 23:20Speaker 4: takes effect Monday. And this means, you know, they're going
- 23:26Speaker 4: to start messing with who gets licenses and who's.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Well they're not they're taking away those licenses two hundred
- 23:33Speaker 2: thousand and there already is a shortage of truck drivers
- 23:36Speaker 2: to begin with.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Well, the other thing is this isn't you know, so
- 23:40Speaker 4: this deals with immigrants who are asylum seekers, refugees, recipients
- 23:45Speaker 4: of dhaka.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Who are all of.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Those that but when you think of it, there's it's
- 23:54Speaker 4: not merit based, it's not based on glean record or
- 23:58Speaker 4: it's unfortunate because because there's people with spotless records.
- 24:03Speaker 2: There are it's it's a lot of overreach. Do you
- 24:07Speaker 2: remember when matchbooks were out there? You remember match books,
- 24:11Speaker 2: not that they have them anymore, but I haven't seen
- 24:13Speaker 2: them in years.
- 24:14Speaker 4: You mean it like at the front of a hotel
- 24:16Speaker 4: or yeah.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Yeah, so yeah, where they had the hotel.
- 24:19Speaker 2: But the ones that I remember the ones that advertise
- 24:23Speaker 2: trucking schools, learned to drive the big racks.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Those also, they were all over the plate, they were
- 24:29Speaker 3: all over the place.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:32Speaker 2: And then there were matchbooks that were looking for pilots
- 24:36Speaker 2: and you could take a sixty day training course learn.
- 24:39Speaker 3: To fly the big rigs.
- 24:41Speaker 2: That's for seven forty sevens.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Then and then and then there would match books that
- 24:47Speaker 4: said what you can't drive, become a talk show host.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Yeah, let's do one last one about marijuana.
- 24:54Speaker 5: Amy Dude, Using medical or recreational marijuana the ease symptoms
- 25:00Speaker 5: of several mental health conditions barely doesn't work, according to
- 25:04Speaker 5: two new analysis of existing gold standard research medical marijuana,
- 25:10Speaker 5: of course, has THHC in it, and the research shows
- 25:15Speaker 5: we found no evidence that any form of cannabis is
- 25:19Speaker 5: effective in treating anxiety, depression, or post traumatic stress disorder,
- 25:24Speaker 5: which are the three leading reasons for which cannabis is prescribed.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Yeah, this is news, This is kind of interesting. I
- 25:32Speaker 2: wouldn't think you see that.
- 25:35Speaker 4: I think we only the best thing is appetite. YEA.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Well, that's the one thing is that you don't want
- 25:40Speaker 2: to use marijuana for weight loss. It just doesn't work
- 25:44Speaker 2: very well. All right, we are done, guys completely. We've
- 25:49Speaker 2: got an issue with the gas tax and refinery regulations,
- 25:53Speaker 2: and man, California is getting nailed far worse than any
- 25:57Speaker 2: other state. Of course we are, and I'll cover that
- 26:00Speaker 2: when we come back. Kf I am six point forty.
- 26:03Speaker 3: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Catch My Show Monday through Friday six am to nine am,
- 26:09Speaker 2: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
