- [Host] Welcome to the AEO Engine AI Search Show — the podcast where we break down the future of search, AI visibility, and how brands are getting discovered in a world run by AI. I'm your host, Aria Chen, and every week I bring in the sharpest minds to make sense of what's actually working in AI search right now. Today, we're diving into a topic that's not just theoretical; it's actively reshaping the competitive landscape for ambitious brands. We're talking about autoresearch and the rise of AI agent armies, a concept championed by the likes of Andrej Karpathy and promoted for SEO by Eric Siu. With me today to unpack this seismic shift is our insightful co-host, Marcus Reid. [Guest] Hey everyone, great to be here, Aria. This is a topic I've been fascinated by, especially seeing how quickly these concepts are moving from academic papers to real-world application. [Host] Absolutely, Marcus. And it's moving fast. The core idea, as Andrej Karpathy put it, is about AI agents running experiments at an unprecedented speed – we're talking about 700 times faster than humans. Now, Eric Siu has been vocal about applying this exact principle to scaling SEO experiments. For our listeners, this isn't just about faster content creation; it’s about a fundamental shift in how we approach search visibility. What's your initial take on this, Marcus? [Guest] That 700x speed stat alone is mind-blowing, Aria. It immediately makes me think about the sheer volume of data and iterations an AI can process compared to a human team. Traditionally, SEO has been a lot of manual guesswork, hypothesis testing, and then waiting for results. If we can run experiments, analyze outcomes, and iterate at that speed, it completely redefines what’s possible for ranking and visibility. [Host] Precisely. And this isn't just about traditional SEO anymore. We're talking about Answer Engine Optimization, or AEO, where the goal isn't just a click, but being the direct, featured answer in Google AI Overviews or ChatGPT. The challenge there is immense because AI engines are constantly re-evaluating sources, context, and user intent. You need an 'always-on' system to keep up. [Guest] So, if I'm understanding this correctly, it's about leveraging AI not just for content generation, but for an entire autonomous workflow – from research to optimization to publishing. The idea of 'AI agent armies replacing manual SEO workflows' is gaining massive traction, and it sounds like a necessary evolution given the complexity of AI search. [Host] It’s more than necessary, Marcus, it’s essential for survival in this new landscape. While traditional agencies are still selling hours, the future demands an engine. This is where platforms like AEO Engine are leading the charge with what we call 'Agentic SEO'. We're not just theorizing; we've built the systems to make this a reality. [Guest] That's a powerful statement. Can you elaborate a bit on what 'Agentic SEO' means in practice, especially for an e-commerce brand or a B2B company trying to dominate AI search? [Host] Of course. Think of it like this: instead of a human team manually researching keywords, drafting content, optimizing it, and then waiting weeks to publish, Agentic SEO uses a team of intelligent bots running 24/7. These 'always-on AI content agents' integrate directly with a brand's commerce platform data. They seamlessly produce product-aligned blog posts and page content, built specifically to rank on Google and, critically, to feed AI answer engines. This agentic assembly-line approach enables rapid content production. We're talking about turning a single keyword into a fully optimized article in under 10 minutes, allowing brands to publish at ten times the usual pace. That's the speed and agility needed to beat debate and deliberation. [Guest] Ten times the usual pace? That's incredible. So, it's not just about getting content out there, but ensuring it's optimized for both traditional search and AI Overview snippets. That's a crucial distinction, because being 'the answer' is a different game than just ranking as a link. [Host] Exactly. And this is where the 'First Movers Win' mentality truly comes into play. The algorithms for AI Overviews are constantly learning, and early adopters who consistently provide authoritative, well-cited content have a massive advantage. We've seen clients achieve incredible results – like a 920% average traffic growth from AI-driven sources and 9x higher conversions from that AI traffic. [Guest] Those are game-changing numbers. It really underscores the urgency for brands to adapt. It sounds like this approach also addresses one of Vijay Jacob's core beliefs: that the agency model is obsolete, and productized platforms win. You're systematizing complexity into frameworks, not just vague advice. [Host] Absolutely, Marcus. Vijay built AEO Engine to solve SEO's and AEO's core problems: biased advice, manual guesswork, and zero ROI attribution. With AI agents, attribution is everything – we're tracking citations, accuracy, and direct revenue connections. It's about 'Stop guessing. Start measuring your AI citations.' We provide that data-backed proof. And it’s not just about Google. These AI engines are fed by a multi-platform game: Reddit, Quora, TikTok. Our AI agents are designed to understand and leverage these diverse sources to ensure comprehensive visibility. [Guest] So, for a brand that might be struggling with traditional SEO and seeing their competitors getting featured in AI Overviews, what's the immediate action they should consider? How does AEO Engine's approach differ from trying to just 'do more SEO'? [Host] The difference is fundamental. 'Doing more SEO' often means more manual effort, more guesswork, and slower results. Our approach, through our 100-Day 'Traffic Sprint' framework, is designed to accelerate results and deliver ranking and revenue wins within about three months. We provide always-on AI content automation, leveraging proprietary SEO and AEO tactics to drive compounding organic growth and tangible sales uplift. It's a system purpose-built for e-commerce brands on Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, or Go High Level CMSs, designed for Google and the new answer engines, with AI speed and human strategy behind it. This isn't just about filling a blog; it’s about ensuring your brand is the authoritative answer, driving pipeline and revenue attribution. [Guest] That direct connection to revenue is key. It moves beyond vanity metrics and focuses on what truly matters for ambitious brands. The scale and speed you're talking about are what every business leader dreams of. [Host] Exactly. Results over retainers – that’s our philosophy. We work with 7- and 8-figure brands, managing over $250M in annual revenue, proving that this agentic approach works. It’s about competitive domination through AI innovation and early adopter advantage. So, for any ambitious e-commerce brand, B2B company, SaaS provider, or even local business listening today, if you’re serious about getting ranked #1 in AI Overviews and dominating the future of search, the time to act is now. The 'First Movers Win' is not just a slogan; it’s a competitive imperative. [Guest] It certainly sounds like a blueprint for future success.
