Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a state of being.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: We're good.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome in everybody.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's the mile-high-huttle pod test.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's the aftermath.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Chad Jensen.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's zap kelverman.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what happened on our initial go live on the stream.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: We were live for like six seconds and all of a sudden the stream just went out.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_01]: And instead of unfortunately just being able to hit go again, you actually have to recreate a stream.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: Which on one hand, it's not that big of a deal.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little bit of a time suck, not too much.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: But the worst part is we have
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Lady D and others throwing down very generous supers in this instance before we went live that we can still read But I don't have any way now flashing them on the screen.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I really apologize for that Don't know why that happened and all we can do is send in a ticket to Streamyard so Sorry guys love you appreciate you, but Zach here we are in the aftermath of the Broncos big upset We call it an upset because technically they were the underdog
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: They sure as heck didn't look like underdogs, those Zach.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: And today, as Botanix would call it, I guess, the overdogs, right?
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: Where are the overdogs?
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: But today, the Broncos, we have a lot to talk about because they claim to running back off of waivers.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: Cody Schrader will get into him.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about him a little bit.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: And then, unfortunately, Zach, Brandon Jones, headed to IR, break it down for everybody.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then we'll grab Lady D in all these awesome comments and supers.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so again, guys, sorry about the technical difficulties there, but in the case of Brandon Jones, he went down the first half against the Packers yesterday with a pectoral injury, the same injury, if you recall that PS2 dealt with earlier this season, he underwent additional testing, he's having a second opinion on that pectoral injury had an MRI.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_03]: He will be placed on IR.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_03]: He'll miss the next four games and that'll extend into the postseason.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: So he'll miss the next three final regular season games and then the first game of the postseason.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_03]: PJ Lock now is starting next to Huff.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_03]: So it's kind of a downgrade there in the defensive backfuel.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it really is.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little bit scary.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: Now here's where I'm going to air Zack on the side of optimism and hope here because
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: even though PJ Locke turned in like we got really excited about him the second half of the 2023 season.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: The season he kind of emerged and earned that contract when Karim Jackson was getting suspended left and right.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: He played really, really well.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: So much so that they extended him game to your contract and brought him in last year to be the
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: a soon starter, one of the two safety's alongside Brandon Jones, and then we all know how his 2024 seasons that kind of shook out, and he just wasn't the same player.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: And then we found out later about what was it.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: Summer as summer was starting.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: He announced on his YouTube channel that he had undergone like a crazy back surgery.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: He had then, in other words, Zach, dealing with gnarly back pain, like excruciating, extreme back pain throughout all of last season.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not inclined to judge him on last season as much now and what I've seen from him thus far in 2025, Zach, albeit spot duty, third guy here,
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: He has looked better, so I am encouraged by that P.J.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: Locke, Talino, who found out that's your safety tandem for the foreseeable.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_03]: And I think having better players around him in the secondary, getting better coaching from Jim Leonard will make PJ Lock better as a spot starter.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_03]: But it is a big blow for the Broncos, no doubt about it.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_03]: Every elite defense, legendary defense has that one unheralded player.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_03]: The 2015 Broncos had dairy and steward in the secondary.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I feel Brandon Jones is.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_03]: He was a super underrated signing, super underrated player and hopefully the Broncos can mask his absence for the next four games.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: Alright real quick here guys lots more we're going to talk about Schrader and all that stuff but I got I'm going to try and do this let's see if this will work for me hold on one second if I can flash it like this.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: This this will work before we even went live here on the previous stream that went.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: skiwampus, whatever the heck happened, we had an immensely generous Merry Christmas super chat from lady D. And here it is right here.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: She said, Merry Christmas, Chad Zack Scott and Broncos country sending love your way, hoping everyone has a blessed Christmas holiday, slash holiday, getting ready to go to North Carolina, she has family there.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I might miss a few podcasts, great game yesterday,
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: I thought, overall, everyone played well.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: Bonyx was looking strong, 12 and 2, and clenched playoffs.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's amazing, MHH for life.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, hey, lady D, first of all, thank you so much, Merry Christmas.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: Back at you, Happy Holidays, et cetera.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: Give your family our best, safe travels.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's a goodly distance.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna be traveling.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: You and David from Alaska all the way to the southeast.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: coast of the USA.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: So safe travels.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure you're going to have a blast and we'll see you when we see you on the next one.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: But thank you so much, lady.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: Much love and respect.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, the good news is this super chat didn't go anywhere.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's just we couldn't flash it on the screen.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's still there and everything.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's just we this is the best we could do.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: But lady D, she was stoked on what she saw yesterday, including of course, clenching the playoffs.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Deanna, thank you so much for that generosity.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, I agree with your Broncos insights.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: They're always common sense and very cogent.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_03]: But I also appreciate what you've done for us the entire year, not just the holidays, but you've been literally keeping the lights on and making them the community that much better just with your presence.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_03]: It was a pleasure to meet you at the meet and greet and I look forward to that again next year.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_03]: So happy holidays, Merry Christmas.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so so much for your generosity.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: And it was, I think Zach Boneyx is best game as a pro.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's had, I think it was that his third four touchdown game.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: If not for his third, it was definitely at least his second.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: But in the stakes and in the situation and with all the pressure of a 10-game winning streak and underdog and all the scrutiny for him to turn in that performance, that calve and against that quality of an opponent, so encouraging, guys, so encouraging.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: But lady D, love you so much.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Papa bear also jumped in before things went weird on that preview screen.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, pal.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: Say, and Merry Christmas, Broncos Country 13 and 4 plus plus plus, hashtag God bless the USA.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Papa bear.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: It means the world to us.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know that, buddy, your support.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: And then Sam Bamsack said, hey, guys, Broncos are 12 and two.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: How awesome is that?
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: They showed what they're made of coming back down nine.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: in the game yesterday and getting the win over a good Packers team, the number one seed in the AFC shall be ours.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: Go Broncos.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it was also, thank you Sam, helped along Zach, the pursuit of the number one seed by the fact that Patriots, even though the Broncos had the tiebreaker blah, blah, blah, patriots lost and the Broncos won.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: So now they got that game of separation plus the tiebreaker.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much Sam for that.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_03]: And it's incredible what Sean Peyton's done with the Broncos.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_03]: I tweeted that today, the three seasons before Sean Peyton arrived, they went five and eleven seven and ten and five and twelve three seasons with Sean Peyton eight and nine ten and seven and twelve and two and counting it is remarkable.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much again, man.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to see.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_01]: And it's still bugging me so much that that happened.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe that happened, but anyway, yes, guys, we got some really cool stuff cooking.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, yesterday we launched the
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: brand new MHH discord server and the link to come join us it's free is just another way to hang out and be part of the MHH community outside and beyond and in addition to these live streams the link is the first link in the description in this video so come join us over there let's build that thing up it's going to be a lot of fun
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, let's talk about this new running back, the Broncos claimed off waivers and it's kind of interesting because since JK Dobbins went down with that foot injury that landed them on IR, they've had a few opportunity, I mean, they've had an opportunity every day if they wanted to design or add a running back, but they've specifically had a few kind of slightly higher profile opportunities, at least in the form of, uh, I just bring Florida's name, what was his name?
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: David, what is his name?
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: Here, stand me in Pierce.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, thank you.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: Which they were interested, but not to a point where they were willing to put in a waiver claim.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: And yet after yesterday's game, they do exactly that, and they bring in their claim-off waivers, Cody Schrader.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: And so he joins oddly and up Zach, I guess technically we can say in back to back Mondays, the Broncos have added a running back.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: In this case, it's off the waiver wire.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: Shrader going to the 53 last Monday.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: It was sincere McCormick on the practice squad where he remains, but what do we know about Shrader?
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: He went undrafted last year out of Missouri.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: And he signed basically, he spent time with the Niners, the Rams, the Jags, and then very briefly, the Texans who just barely waived him.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's got two total touches as a pro-Zack in the regular season of Catch for Six Yards and a Carrie for three.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: We can get into what was said about him kind of a scouting report, why he went undrafted, what he brings to the table, but he's definitely a little bit more Zack of a plotter like he's not super explosive and yet he has very good vision for the type of zone stuff that the Broncos are trying to work more and more into their offense.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: So what are your thoughts of Shrader hitting this 53-man roster?
- 10:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know too much about him.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be up front.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_03]: I see Scott saying something I agree with.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_03]: He has one carry for six yards in his career.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't mean RJ Harvey is out for an extended period.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't mean that they're shaking up the running back room.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_03]: This is purely for depth and insurance purposes.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_03]: Chad, the other point, you made it as well about Damian Pierce.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: I wonder if he regrets now not signing with the Broncos and signing with the chiefs who have been eliminated.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_03]: from postseason contention.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_03]: The other point really quickly, he did spend time obviously, shradered it with the Jaguars.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_03]: That's Sean Paine and worked trying to get a competitive advantage and maybe trying to glean some information about Jacksonville's playbooks.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't read too much into it.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's definitely deaf, but my question here is that, is
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: do they do they bring him in shrader if RJ doesn't suffer the rib injury.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's a question.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now, that doesn't mean it's got says he's not being brought in shrader to replace a starter.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: You don't bring in a dude off the street this deep into the season unless you're super super desperate like you're one, two, three, and four guys are like down for the count.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: Then you do what you got to do, but you still have your little McLofflan.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: You still have Tyler but day.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: But if RJ Harvey's act doesn't suffer that rib injury that kept him out of
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: do they still bring in trader?
- 11:37[SPEAKER_03]: No, they wouldn't need him.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's purely for depth purposes.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_03]: They're down a running back temporarily.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_03]: We'll know more about Harvey status as the week goes on, but they wouldn't need him.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_03]: And they still have to use Vaughn on the practice squad, by the way.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_03]: So they have, you know, in case of emergency funds, if they need to use them.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: And lots more to get to guys, including I want to, we're going to say hello to the members here in a moment and get some of your comments and questions.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: I was a little, I'm still a little bit thrown off balance by the spookiness of that stream opening and then dying and us having to relaunch it.

- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's see what's on on the minds.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: Where do you guys think about this new running back?
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: And how are you feeling about Brandon Jones?
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: Jordan Lewis says it's a bummer for sure, but I trust PJ Lock.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Cairo Suite, good to see you.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: Hi guys, love our Broncos.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yes indeed it feels good to be a Broncos fan right now.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: That is for sure it always does But especially now Chase says Chris says Jones is getting a second opinion not a good sign Yeah, but the team already announced he's going to IR so there is that Nathan good to see you buddy Maybe this stream yard higher-ups or Packers fans.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's still salty Sue good to see you hope you're doing well.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: Also Albert's in the house the mile high dutchie
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: Great to have you big dog M. Blacks is like I'm here to party version two at the top because we had to restart the stream always fun when we have little stream yard hiccups, but anyway, M. Blacks said might not be the same injury.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: There are two separate peck muscles.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is true, this is true.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: We shall see a chase, maybe Jaday Barrenzack get some snaps at safety.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: That has been an increasingly kind of popular hypothesis on X and among Broncos Country, do you see it happening?
- 15:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was a few games ago.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_03]: He got the first snap at safety.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_03]: I can't remember what game that was.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if Huff was off the field or Jones was off the field, but they're kind of slowly working him into the mix there.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think they wanted to put too much on his plate too quickly.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's why they kept him at corner back.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_03]: But now, with Jones out, they might need them there to necessitate those coverage snaps at covering tight ends and running backs and such.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe a little bit, but they really do have confidence Sean Payton said in PJ Lock.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of interesting, barren can offer you as so much, but they kind of have a good thing going right now with that corner back rotation some people.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not sure exactly how much it continued yesterday against the Packers, but some people have been a little bit critical of how much vansjels have been rotating the corners even since Pat certainly has been back.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: and they do have a good thing going though.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, as far as walking down the tight ends for the most part, and Baron is just getting more and more confident as time goes on.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to interrupt what he's got cooking as a corner back and put him at safety and make him kind of relearn things?
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: He could do it, Zach, but PJ Locke's going to get the first bite of the apple.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, plus they have other members of the secondary other young up and coming back up so that can get some synapses.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_03]: Well, and listen, if they pressure Trevor Lawrence enough and the, these other quarterbacks, we're going to face then who's starting to safety might not matter all that much a shout out to the rock also in the house.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: We got Pearl who said I had to restart my iPhone.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was probably our fault, or stream yards fault anyway for whatever was going on there.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: Rock says, oh, and this is an interesting point, but I didn't even think of this yet.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: He say, and pass on bringing back just in Simmons.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: Let's move on, bringing back from bringing back former Bronco players, let the other Bronco young defenders develop their craft.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of surprising to me, Zack, that to this very moment in time, Justin Simmons has been unsigned like through the entire 2025 season.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's been doing a little bit of media stuff here and there.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: He says he's staying in football shape, but it doesn't seem like that's a reasonable, plus, more like, is it reasonable yet?
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: Plausible thing, the Broncos would do.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's still a free agent because his last couple seasons on tape in Atlanta and with the Broncos were not very good, Chad, and the league kind of moved on from him.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_03]: And both in the NFL and in life, one expression is true, X's are X's for a reason.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_03]: And Simmons is one of the Broncos X's.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you, Rock.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_03]: Move forward with the players you have to let that era be in the past.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: And he was just one of those guys where
- 17:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think bulls is the only exception's act of the guys who were steady individual contributors and producer Sutton as well.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: So Sutton bulls, they remain, but Sean Peyton kind of wanted to clear out some of those older veterans who, it's not that they were losers, but there was just this kind of malaise.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: You talk about a team that remember this phrase, I'm about to spit, you heard it a million times for us.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: They had forgotten how to win, right?
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like all that stuff and you kind of needed to clear out the leadership a little bit and start over and look what it's built to already.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: And unfortunately, it might not be fair entirely, but I do wonder how much of that played a part in the Broncos decision to cut him.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: But what they have cut him's act if they hadn't had to make so many hardcore decisions in the wake of also, of course, releasing Russ.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_03]: It was in hindsight, they made the right move.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_03]: It was a capitalated maneuver.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_03]: The Brock was cleared a bunch of cap space and Simmons fell off a cliff after that.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_03]: The thing with the leadership, you make a good point there.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's true.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_03]: They needed that in the locker room at a certain time because they didn't have a franchise quarterback.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_03]: Simmons was the locker room leader.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_03]: Now they have a franchise quarterback.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_03]: They have a winning culture in place.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_03]: They don't need the extra bit of leadership.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_03]: They're getting it from different sources.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_03]: So again, you don't need Simmons.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's good as he was for the Broncos.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_03]: That era is over and I agree with you.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think you want to bring in any remnants of the past into this new locker room, contaminated that way.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so amen to that.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: Ronk, it does kind of hurt my heart that he wasn't able to be here long enough to enjoy some of the fruits of his labors for the Broncos.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes that's the way the cookie crumbles.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: Pro 16 agrees 100% with the wrong for what it's worth.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: And then he also says the Broncos have proved they can win with just an average rung game.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's true, but as time marches on Zach, it makes me more and more uncomfortable that they just can't get things cooking without JK.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_03]: Listen, the games are only going to get more competitive.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_03]: The opponents tougher, the weather colder.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_03]: You can get by with the mediocre run game, but you can expect Bowenix to throw four touchdowns every single game.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_03]: You've got to give them some help.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_03]: That was the biggest bug-a-boo last season.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_03]: And without Dobbins and Harvey, the running game has reverted right back to 24.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_03]: So you've got to figure out a way to get the consistently above average running game going.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so here's I'm glad Lady D found her way back in saying that she got kicked out.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: We all got kicked out by the way on that lady D if you missed it at the top of the show.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry about that and thank you so much for that phenomenal super chat.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: We did read it if you were a win the show, you'll see it.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: But thank you so much and again, we love you and appreciate you.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to you and yours and safe travels to North Carolina.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, thank you again so much, Diana.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: uh... rock also point out here champagne said this morning that he's focused on winning the aFC West and the number one goal is winning the aFC West then the playoffs then the Super Bowl yeah i mean i think yeah but it's kind of crazy Zach how in this instance the broncos clinched the playoffs
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: before they clenched the division which is crazy to me to think that they've come that far and they're the only team in the AFC right that are that have clenched like everyone else is still quote unquote in the hunt.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah I mean this is Sean Payton's act kind of speaking to the we're gonna play in bigger games thing here like the bigger goals it's all about the Super Bowl.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they're really after.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: Is it the number one goal?
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: But like Bo was saying after the game in that same Zach little uh, who was it he was talking to was it who's the CBS Tracy will crazy wolves when he's saying that, you know, the next game is the next best biggest game and one step leaves to the next and it was a little bit kind of gobbledy good, but what he was trying to say is.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we can't get to the Super Bowl without making the playoffs and, you know, in this case, when in the division will be a bonus, but they've already clenched.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go Super Bowl.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_03]: This is, you know, the Pat Bowling standard.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_03]: This is the Sean Peyton standard.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's emphasizing that he's not going to be happy with just clinching and winning the division is only step one.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, he has bigger goals in mind, but a quick interesting step that I found pretty intriguing.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_03]: The last three years, teams that have clinched first have all made this super bowl.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's very interesting.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's very interesting.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: Ricky, a dear member, a keep to leave said on,
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: the arena that we should bring in digs since the cowboys don't want them.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think?
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, you spent time a few years back covering the cowboys.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like Trevon digs days as a cowboy are getting close.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's numbered.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: What are your thoughts on bringing them in?
- 22:58[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, what I covered him, he was still an elite cornerback, but that was years ago now in Chad.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_03]: If Brock was fans hate Riley Moss for how much he gets burned in past coverage, they would have a connipion over digs in the secondary.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_03]: He's all or nothing type of cornerback.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: He gambles for the pick six.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_03]: And when he doesn't get it, he tends to give up long plays or touch downs.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_03]: I would much, 1000% rather continue investing in Riley Moss and Chris Abram's dream,
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, his days of picking off 11 passes are well in the rear view, but yeah, hey, it's cool that it keeps saying it, right?
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like if it keeps says it, hey, but yeah, I think the Broncos have a very good young cornerback crew room, whatever you want to call it, and with PS2s, your elder statesman
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: So in his fifth season, and he's your elder statesman, like that's a young room that can continue to grow together.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Riley's got one more year, and then this time next year he'll be, you know, a month away from free agency basically, but they got one more year with Riley, McMillan's a RFA after this season.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: They'll tend to him or at least find a way to bring him back.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: That you can count on.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: Abrams drain, he got another couple of years with him and obviously Barren's a rookie.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: So it's really exciting.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's a young room that's going to continue to grow and get even better, especially with that example and leadership at the top PS2.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_03]: I can't believe I forgot about Barren and there as well.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_03]: You used a first round pick on him.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_03]: He's showing a high upside in certain instances in situations, invest in him, invest in moss, invest in Abrams drain.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_03]: You don't need dicks
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: Lady D jumping in again this time on a super chat that we can click on because it's in the stream.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: And don't worry that's that it's not like the super chat disappears.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: It still stays with the channel and everything.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: Even though that stream lasted eight seconds.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know what happened by the way.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to send him a support ticket after the show to stream your but Lady D jumping in again.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: Love you so much.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: She says I think it's his attitude.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's why
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: Justin Simmons isn't being asked back.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: The media is doing backstrokes regarding bow.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hoping we get the one seed.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: No digs, same attitude.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: Use our guys to get the experience, happy with this team, M.H.H.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: for life.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Zach, what have you seen on this subject of the media takes on bonyx over the last 24 hours?
- 25:42[SPEAKER_03]: What you're going to start seeing more and more now is some people, not everyone, but some who have heavily criticized bonyx or the Broncos in the past, they're going to try to jump on the bandwagon with the fusive praise because the Broncos are 12 into best record and football.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_03]: Number one team in the AFC.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_03]: Don't let them forget their past takes.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_03]: If Nick Wright suddenly comes out and credits the Broncos, don't let him forget.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_03]: That's the nature of the business, though.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_03]: You're still going to get the types of Indiana that will hold true to the fact that they are waiting for the Broncos to blow it in the playoffs.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: They're waiting for Bonyx to implode in the postseason.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: We don't really care about them.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_03]: Let them hate.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_03]: But I am seeing Chad slowly the national media narrative 10 to shift in the Broncos favor, but they have a ways to go before they earn our trust.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's for sure.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's for sure.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: But if both continues to put in pardon me, that those kind of performances like you saw against Greenbeam, I mean, those are marquee games, marquee production like top shelf, he'll make believers out of everybody, even those guys that are still trying to protect their pre 2024 draft takes.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: if he can continue with that kind of doesn't need to be for touchdowns per game no but you know that guy who's just a surgeon I am a surgeon that reminds me you know that uh
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: the Instagram reel, I sent you a while back to Zach of the Film Products and that guy.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm a surgeon.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember the name of the handle, but it's funny as heck.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: Lady D, we love you.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know this.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, my friend.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: Bro, I missed the announcement yesterday.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: What was the announcement?

- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see you.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: Leroy on Facebook, a long time member of our community and commenter, great to see you, buddy.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: He says, I think folks are caught up to the superstar recognition name instead of who the player really is.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: in other words, because Diggs is garbage.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's not been so good.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, the last couple of seasons in particular and as you said, he's very boomer bust.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_03]: And like you said, he's not going to have a season where he picks off 11 passes again and you're rightly right.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_03]: He has the name value just like sauce garden or have the name value in recognition over ps2.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_03]: That's why so many people were saying he's the better corner when we all really knew better, but I agree with you.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know about garbage, but he's not the player that that people hype them up to be and he hasn't been for quite a while.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, we have lots, lots, lots more to get to.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: But first really quick, listen up guys.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: football season.

- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: All right, back to the conversation, and I want to grab Lee Roy one more time here.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: He says, please, I have an idea.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: Bone X made a comment yesterday about us being what he was asked about being underdogs.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: He said, no, we are overdogs.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: Make a shirt with that slogan.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: I promise you it will sell out.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great idea.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great idea.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: Lee Roy.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'll get my design guy on that as soon as this shows over.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great idea, bro.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: I love it, Zach.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, checks in the nail.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_03]: Lee Roy.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, dude.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: Great idea.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: uh, at Lady D reminded me about everybody to hit the lack button.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: Please.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: Real quick, Zach, uh, I want to take a look at the, uh, playoff picture.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, as as we know, the Broncos did officially clench yesterday, a playoff birth, but there's still a row left to ho when it comes to winning the division and the one seed.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: So here's
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: Let me flash this on on screen.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: We'll do some, look at some, some scratch and sniff here.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: Look at that.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos, first grams, they're in both teams.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: In the hunt, Patriots, Jaguars, who the Broncos played this week.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: Steelers in the four-seed chargers in the five bills in the six Texans currently.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: So if the ploughs were starting this coming weekend, that would be your seven teams.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos would have the buy et cetera.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then in the hunt, our teams like the Colts who've had some real bad injury look, the last couple weeks, trying to make, make Hay Zach with a, what is he 44-year-old Philip Rivers?
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's a great story.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: Then you've got the Ravens who have stayed alive.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: which is good because that means they got to beat the Patriots and you want the Patriots to keep losing.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: The dolphins also are still alive, which is good because they also play the Patriots to close out the season.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: And then just so we're covering both sides of the street.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: Bears are at number two seed behind the Rams in the NFC.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: Then it's the Eagles bucks.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy Scott that at seven and seven, the books are leading in the NFC cell.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, C Hawks in the fifth seed, despite being 11 and three,
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: that's crazy.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: Niners because of course they're number two in the NFC West.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: And then Niners are six.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: Packers are seven.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos dropped them a little bit.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: And then Lions still in the hunt, Panthers, Cowboys, surprisingly, even at six seven and one, still in the hunt.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: So there's the official playoff picture not counting to Knights game.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think the Rams and the Seahawks play Thursday.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_03]: So that should be a pretty good game in the NFC.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, chaos, Josh in the house, the boot boy 90.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see you, pal.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's saying no on digs.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: Moss, Baron, Avern's Drain and last but not least, J. Mac.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: All these dudes have filled in and proven they can handle the heat.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: We're already set.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, agreed, agreed.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, Zach,
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: I liked what Sean Payton said about the Riley Moss P.I.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: yesterday that holy cow, but the word he would use to describe it starts with an A.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: What do you suppose?
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: Use a rhyme word exact that he could have been talking about that starts with the letter A. I'm not sure.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'll throw one out.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: Bass.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: What could it be?
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's just me guessing.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: That was a bad call guys, a bad call.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I was really stoked to see Riley Moss, the football gods kind of smile down on him and said, yeah, karma, the will of karma turns.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: You've been putting in that work.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: Here's a pick.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: I loved it.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: Both he and PS2 yesterday's act getting picked.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: PS2s was an amazing individual play.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: Moss got a little bit lucky that it got popped up, but credit to him for being heads up and hauling it in.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_03]: It seemed like the PS2 pit kind of turned them momentum of the game a little bit in the Broncos favor, but I'll point while taking Moopoia here.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_03]: Broncos have the new no fly zone.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_03]: And if I'm Denver, I'm thinking about signing J-Mac to a long-term extension, not even letting him reach a restricted free agency in the offseason.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, for those who were wondering who the Broncos signed that are just joining us, you can always rewind it, but real quick, they signed, well, they didn't sign them.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: They claimed them off waivers, uh, running back, uh, by the name of Cody Shrader, second year player.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's been mostly kind of a practice squad guy.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: His year and three quarters in the league, but, um, he spent time this regular season with
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: then the Texans just barely very short brief time, you know, cup of coffee type thing, then they waved him.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: But Zach, the timing of them, bring in him in with the Jaguars on the schedule.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: This week, there's a debrief opportunity there, even if it wasn't the primary motivator.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think that actually is the primary motivator, or at least I'm assuming I'm not reading too much into the RJ Harvey injury and linking both things.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_03]: together.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think correlation equals causation here in this instance, Chad.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_03]: But again, we'll know more in Harvey as the week goes on and hopefully he won't miss any time with that ribs injury.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, fingers crossed.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: And if you were to miss time, what you would see is Shrader, maybe he dresses this week, if not in the next week or whatever, but the two guys that would carry the load are Jeloma, Glawlin, and Tyler, but day.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: If anything were to happen in terms of Harvey's injury causing him to miss time.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: So, and this is what I said yesterday, rock.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you got the orange crush,
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: You got the no-fly zone.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: Two of the most iconic defensive units in NFL history, and obviously the two on their own legendary units of the Broncosac, I like this because it's its own thing calling it the Orange Rush.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: While also paying homage to the 77 era squad that created the Orange Crush thing, I like it.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I like it too.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_03]: I guess that can work as a nickname.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing I know Chad is the Broncos defense has a white Bronco.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_03]: So that's as far as I'm going to go with nicknames.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: And this is true.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_01]: Sue the Raiders where careers go to die.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a good example.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: of when Sean Peyton said, what attracted him to the Broncos, it started with ownership, right?
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like he knew that these type of people, the owners, the give you everything you need to win type thing, not metal, good decision makers, proven themselves in the arena of life.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the Walton's, the penners, like they know what they're doing, they know how to be successful.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas you look at the Raiders' Act and it's Mark Davis,
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: inheriting everything from his father, who was a true winner and a pioneer and an innovator in the NFL.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_01]: RIP, Al Davis, we all freaking hated him while he was alive because he was the Raiders guy, but he actually did a lot of good for the league and especially for the AFL, becoming part of the NFL and all that stuff.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: But when he died, Zach, the Apple fell relatively far
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: With Al Davis over the decades, he was the guy and since he's past man, it's been they've had a couple of playoff births here and there.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: They were on track to things being okay with John Groen and then of course we all know what happened there, et cetera, but that's the reason why it starts at the top guys as far as the raiders calling Good to see you tonight, bro.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: Do we bring back Simmons with Jones going on IR?
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: Seeing a lot of discourse about it feel like we'd be fine
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: as a replacement.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: So we have talked about this quite a bit already calling in tonight's show.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: And that's okay.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: You're a stud dude.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: You're a superstar in a member.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: So we're happy to attack it again.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: But the cliff notes version is I don't think you need him.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: But Zach, you can fill in more for calling here.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I call him.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_03]: I just think he moved on for a reason and in hindsight, the Broncos made the 100% right decision to move on from Simmons when they did.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_03]: He was too expensive.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_03]: His plate is a play on the field was falling off and you can't justify paying that much money for locker room leadership.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_03]: Now they're getting it from their quarterback.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_03]: They're getting it from their coaching staff.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_03]: They're full of leadership.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_03]: They have a winning culture.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_03]: Simmons came from a losing culture.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_03]: Like Chad said, that's just the way it
- 39:28[SPEAKER_03]: slide.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: Pro 16 says Trevor Lawrence is oh and two lifetime against the Broncos.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to remember when what was it 23 was a 23 Denver Denver.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: The hiding is game with Russ.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, that's right.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm just looking at, I'm just looking at, uh, yeah, that's right, 17, 21.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: So the Broncos won that one, uh, anyway, it's going to be a fun matchup.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited for it, man.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's another great test for the Broncos.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the Jags are, uh,
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: any scarier than the packers were in terms of quality opponent.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: I would say the packers are a significantly more proven and quality team, but they got hit hard by the injury bug yesterday, but then so did the Broncos for what it's worth.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, each team lost a starter.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: Micah Parsons and Brandon Jones.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you can argue that the magnitude of Green Bay's loss of Parsons was greater and that would be true, but it's still, that's, that's football.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's way it shakes out a Brad Murdock.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see you big dog.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the super chat and for being a deer member.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: He says, just a quick shout out to everyone.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for a great show guys Broncos for life.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, buddy.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see you.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: It started out a little wonky because our stream went live and then died eight seconds in.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: We had to hurry and recreate a new stream.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: But here we are, Zach.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: We persevered.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's the MHH pod.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, thank you so much, Brad, and just attack on to what you were saying about the Jaguar.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_03]: Chad, personally, I'm not a big believer in them.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they'll prove me wrong on Sunday, but it does even now because they're going to be down a running back.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_03]: They have the rookie runner, Bishol Tutan.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_03]: He is not going to be playing Sunday.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_03]: He had finger surgery, I think.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_03]: They do have Travis, ETM, who's one of the best running backs in the league.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_03]: The brokers will have to key it on him.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_03]: But if they do, I expect them to get out after Trevor Lawrence and for some turnovers.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: C. Chang saying I'm not too worried about the jags.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Trevor Lawrence, man.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's he's about to experience something not too fun in the form of this orange rush defense.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: Todd Austin, Dorf, a deer member says, Oh, yeah.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: The sauce is no more in jetland or they talking about, oh, I see.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_01]: Sue Gibson taught the Jets are terrible trades of sauce gardener traded sauce garden with the only decent player yet and Quinn and Williams Williams first right then gardener and then gardeners been heard dealing with injury issues and indie.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's their problem those that definitely not hours but Pat Sartan in my opinion continues to separate himself from sauce.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know in terms of the career bonafides and overall NFL resume.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_03]: No, we can all clown on the jets, but I would happily take Bree's Hall or Garrett Wilson off their hands.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no doubt about it.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think they're going to do at the end of the season?
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: You think Aaron Glenn survives?
- 42:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, probably.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think Woody Johnson wants to pay another head coach.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think they're going to go after another quarterback.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_03]: I've heard Kyler Murray could be a trade option for the chets.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see what happens there.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_03]: They're just a cursed franchise, though, chat every year.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_03]: Same old crap.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: They whistled past the graveyard with Joe Nameth and that iconic number one going off the field, right?
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, against was it Baltimore?
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to remember that.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and it's like that used up all their it's kind of like the Broncos had to pay the Pipero after Super Bowl 50 the football gods or the football wheel of karma said okay Now you got to suffer for eight years and you know just get the best quarterback of the era out of the thinnet blue, you know thin air whatever
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: in Peyton Manning have four years of astounding success when it all, and then just get to go on be in like a juggernaut.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's only for like the Steelers or not so much the Steelers, the Packers, just who has to think.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: And right going from far to Rogers to love.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why they haven't had to pay the pipe around the wheel of karma, but
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm getting a little long-winded here, but the Jets, what I'm saying is football gods, cut them some slack here, man.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: That was 50 something years ago.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I remember a big daddy, those damn Jets, what you really said, that rings true, even 25 years later, Chad.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_03]: We had a suffer as Broncos fans in media for eight years in the hell hole that was quarterback purgatory.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_03]: Jets fans are suffering for 48 years.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_03]: I do feel bad for them on some level.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no doubt.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: A little bit of football pity.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: Let me grab a couple more items here from the, uh, from the members Ricky Forrest says, uh, I absolutely love seeing that one seed again.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's been so long.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, almost a decade.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, a decade, right?
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: Not almost the 2015 Broncos were the last one seeded Broncos team in that was a, this is the 11th season, right?
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: No, the 10 seasons, exactly 10 seasons, when am I thinking so it feels good, man, 10 years though, it's a long time, it's a long time.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: MHH, it had when the Broncos won that Super Bowl, MHH had existed for two seasons, two full Broncos seasons.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I can remember it like yesterday, but at the same time it's kind of like when you think about your kids, you know, they're born, you're like, seems like yesterday and then you also can feel the intervening years and then you start going kind of feeling your age a little bit.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: Same thing as it applies act to that 2015 whirlwind and just that, the Peyton Manning era, but it's good to see there's a new era, the bonic Sean Peyton era and it's just getting started.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos also have their best record through 14 games, 12 and 2 since the 98 season and dot dot dot they want the chip that season say tuned stay tuned indeed I love it harbingers that That add up I love that rock says I saw that the Broncos can clinch the FC West with a win against Jacksonville and the chiefs.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because that would create two little runway or the chargers to make a dent in that two-game lead.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I think there's
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: Eric had the article earlier today.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to go read it, but I think Zach, well, can they clench this coming week with wins in a little help?
- 46:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if the chargers lose and they win and there's two left.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they could clench if they beat the chargers or I'm pardon me, if they beat the jacks and the chargers lose next week, that would create a three game gap.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: with two games left, right?
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that that's how they could possibly clench, but if the chargers win and the Broncos win, then it goes to week 17.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I haven't looked at the official scenarios yet, but that sounds about right to me.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_03]: The Broncos is simply the'll rock have to worry about who's in front of them right now and a surging Jacksonville team is in front of them.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_03]: Take care of business and let the chips fall where they may.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that's the clinch, or that's the scenario.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_01]: If the Broncos win and the Chargers lose next week, Broncos win the AFC West, who do the Chargers play next week?
- 47:09[SPEAKER_01]: Let me double check it here, 16 weeks, 16.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: So they play, where the heck are they?
- 47:16[SPEAKER_01]: There they are.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_03]: Cowboys, Zach, in Dallas.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_03]: It's tough to rely on them, Dac Press God and they're known to be chokers, but hopefully those are two choking franchises going face to face, hopefully one chokes less and that's the cowboys on Sunday.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: This is the one team pro 16 I was talking about this yesterday.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the ravens aren't the team that they've been in recent years, the Texans are a little bit concerning, but we kind of have seen the Broncos in the face of that team and they prevailed the one team that makes me a little nervous.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's not the Patriots like in terms of thinking of the playoffs and who the Broncos could play.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_01]: Bill's coming to Denver, what doesn't scare me as much, but if the Broncos had to go to Upstate New York again, and I grant Zach a big part of that is still probably the trauma of seeing how bad the beat down was last year in the wildcard round, but the bills are really the only team that gives me some genuine concern.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: Now that doesn't mean you don't take every opponent seriously Zach when the playoffs do get here, of course, like respect it, it's playoffs, it's fight for your life,
- 48:25[SPEAKER_01]: Qualifying for the tournament like these teams are good teams, but the bills in terms of the way these teams match up The history all that stuff they're the one team in the afc that's alive for the playoffs that does give me more than a little pause and then the Texans would be the next one
- 48:40[SPEAKER_03]: It's to be fair.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I understand they're going to charge her eventually, but they beat the Broncos.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_03]: The Broncos have two losses in the charges did beat them.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_03]: They swept Bo-Nix last season.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_03]: So they're right on the Broncos tails as well.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_03]: That is one team chat that also kind of makes me go and little bit in the playoff field.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's a fair point, dude.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's, in fact, I would re, I would reorganize based on that reminder, I would say bills, chargers, taxes, those would be the three teams I would want to least face in the playoffs, like give me the Patriots all day long, dude, over those teams, but.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's a monkey that the Bonyx and Sean Payton's got to get off their back this year that they have yet to beat the chargers since Jim Harba showed up.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_01]: Oh and three against him and it's crazy because I mean, how many games of the Broncos lost since Jim Harba came to the AFC West.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: Nine games.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_01]: So literally one third of the team's losses in these two seasons have been to the chargers like that's kind of crazy.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, credit to the coaching staff over there, coaching coaching.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_03]: Harball has Bowenix's number and I think Ryan Minter is the defensive coordinator.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_03]: He's in a bang-up job guarding the Broncos offense last time.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see what happens in the postseason.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_03]: I just, I wouldn't feel 100% confident if we drew LA.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's like people were saying yesterday, you know, even the broadcast, oh, this could be a preview of a Super Bowl matchup Broncos Packers, you know, rehashing Super Bowl 33, but I think it's looking more like Broncos Rams Super Bowl would be like the most epic showdown, you know, if you're looking for the, like the most likely slash epic Super Bowl, it would be Rams versus Broncos and Boyle Boy.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how it would shake out, you know.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_01]: But that's not something we got to worry too much about yet for another month or so.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_03]: I got one more scenario.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_03]: Barack O. Seahawks, rematch, grudge match, biggest stage in the world, and the Brock O's win in a blowout.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: I would love it, man.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_01]: I would love it, not only because of the Super Bowl 48 revenge, is that, but.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos did lose to McDonald's, right?
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: Was it the season opener last year?
- 50:57[SPEAKER_03]: Was that a loss with Russ in the 2022 or 2013?
- 51:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's right.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos have had a really, despite basically owning the Seahawks all those years, but for the most part, that they were together in the AFC West.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: The 21st century, well, let's just say, 2012 on Broncos Seahawks.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: Seahawks have their number.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: I want to chance to flip that on it's ear.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: That would be sick, dude.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: That would be sick.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_01]: Let me see one more, and then we got to dip out of here, guys.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_01]: William says, on the bow winds, on the bow winds to beat out rust, regular season.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: Does that include, oh yeah, yeah.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: Answer, does that include playoff ones or just regular season?
- 51:45[SPEAKER_01]: So just regular season.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he needs to win out to win his remaining three games, William, and he will serve past Russell Wilson for most wins by a quarterback in his first two seasons, regular season only.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, who's he tied with now big Ben?
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, luck.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's true, man.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_01]: Luck won a lot of games right away.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: Right away.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have the buildup, but it's all good.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's all good.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_01]: It just illustrates yet again, William, just how rare.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_01]: what we're seeing from the Bonax Broncos, really is, man.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: And enjoy it.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I think you guys all are enjoying it, but I just mean like, savor it, man.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: We're very lucky window.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: And we suffered a long time, Zach, to finally get here.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_01]: So, Lady Deacos, I'd love to beat the Seahawks.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: Pearl says, me too, Diana, rocks as the NFL's lucky the Broncos lost early in the season against the Colson Chargers, if they won those games, they'd be undefeated with 14 and a, yeah, not the NFL, the dolphins are lucky.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's the dolphins that should be thinking their lucky stars to be honest with you because they got to pop the champagne early.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: A Cody Dubb, I think.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos 40 Niners would be big four X Niners are on the on Denver steam.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and you would still have that revenge component 55 10.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_01]: I remember 1990 it was the 89 season, but Super Bowl played 1990 that was a brutal.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think that's the biggest Super Bowl margin.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: on record right 55 the Niners 55 the Broncos 10 brutal many many many years ago and blacks week one twenty twenty four next is a completely different player than week sixteen twenty twenty five next yeah agreed fully agreed dude uh... all right guys we got to a few messages for you then we'll take one last look at the chat so don't go anywhere
- 53:43[SPEAKER_03]: I actually did pull it up really quickly.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_03]: This is going back to 1950.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_03]: Most quarterback wins in their first two seasons.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_03]: Russell Wilson at 24 and Bowenix is tied with Roth, Roth versus Burger, Andrew Luck, and Dac Prescott with 22.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_03]: So tied for second place all times since 1950, Chad.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't realize Dac had that many.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that rookie season.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_03]: That went 12 and 4, I think that year, 2016.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, real quick.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_01]: Well, go through the final messages.

- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for being a member.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you so much and the support, especially like I'd say like the last month month and a half you've been on fire, bona fide super stars.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: This win Shannon says against the Packers was a huge confidence boost.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see the Broncos losing to anyone in the AFC.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_01]: A seahawks rematch in the Super Bowl would be epic.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I agree.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's just more confidence boosted on top of confidence.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, 11 games of winning.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_01]: The problem you run into is similar to what you saw from the 2012 Broncos, which was, you know, you start kind of believing it's always going to be thus and you forget any given Sunday.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, guys, if you think back to 2012.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_01]: The Ravens had no business win in that game.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_01]: Ray Lewis was fricking on fumes.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that defense was still legit, but Joe Flacco, no one was afraid of Flacco then.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's always had a good deep arm and all that stuff.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: But like,
- 56:27[SPEAKER_01]: They had no business going into Denver and winning and yet the Broncos allowed it to happen and so that's why it's like if they did lose one more Shannon.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to cry.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_01]: I still think it's pretty pretty especially if they managed to beat the chargers.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_01]: The division is theirs and probably the one seed because the Patriots have some desperate teams like you're not afraid of the dolphins on the surface, but they went tonight and then they went next week.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_01]: Even if they don't win next week.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_01]: They still could have something to play for and their season finale against the Patriots and anyway, the point being here, I agree with you that no one left on the schedule for sure do.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_01]: I really worry too much about accept the chargers.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why Zach, I'm really hoping it doesn't come down to all the marbles for the division in that game.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly, Shannon, thank you for the super.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_03]: And that's why I said a wrong few minutes ago.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_03]: Let's worry about the Jaguars in front of Denver right now and let the other teams let those chips fall or they may.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_03]: And obviously, the rematch and the Super Bowl against Seattle would be epic, but the Broncos have to get there first, fortunately, like you're talking about with confidence boost.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_03]: The Broncos have found a way to win in every single manner this season, come for behind, blowouts with their defense,
- 57:46[SPEAKER_03]: and that is invaluable, that lesson that you learn during the regular season, it's invaluable to take that into the playoffs.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_03]: They say that a team wants to get hot at the right time.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the problems have been hot and it's up to them to just stay hot now going into January.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_01]: Colin, thank you for letting us know, dude.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_01]: You know that if we ever, if there's ever a point where it seems like we missed a super, it's because we missed it, not because we're ignoring it.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you for the reminder on that.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: We would have been devastated if we would
- 58:16[SPEAKER_01]: If we would have missed you, I fully tonight.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you, bro.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_01]: Travis says is still very susceptible to turnovers, talking about Trevor Lawrence.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_01]: They're very good, the Jags, but they're beating up on bad teams.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, if you look at the Jag wars schedule this season, one second, I'm gonna pull it up real quick.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_01]: Just to, I know we're about out of time, just real quick.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_01]: So this season, Zach, they are,
- 58:45[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, 10 wins, but they have, here's their schedule so far.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_01]: Beat up on the Panthers, lost to the bangles, and then beat the Texans, the Niners, the Chief.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: So those are three quality wins, I would say.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_01]: And then, lost to the Seahawks and the Rams, beat the Raiders in over time, though.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_01]: Lost to the Texans, beat the Chargers,
- 59:09[SPEAKER_01]: beat the cards, beat the Titans, beat the Colts, beat the Jets.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_01]: So they have a five game winning streak.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_01]: They've won six of their last seven.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_01]: And in that last seven games, Zach, I mean, they did beat the Texan or part of me.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_01]: They lost to the Texan, but they did beat the Chargers.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_01]: and a cult's team, I guess that was the game's act that Danny Dimes went down.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_01]: So they got a little bit of a break there, but I would say that I don't know if I would say that, you know, it's a resume completely built on the beating up of inferior teams, but they do have a few signature wins this season, like beating the Texans that early, the Niners, the chiefs,
- 59:54[SPEAKER_03]: I think the schedule claim can only be made about the Patriots because that schedule is historically easy.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there's no question about it.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_03]: Jaguar's like Chad was talking about, you got to give him credit.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_03]: They beat a team, even the Broncos couldn't, whereas they lost to a team, the Broncos managed to beat.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_03]: They're well coached this year with Liam Cohen, Trevor Lawrence is playing good ball, Travis CT and it running back is one of the best in the league, but I'm not a believer in Jacksonville.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_01]: Rodney did Marvin Mimms Jr. have a stinger.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yep.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_01]: So no, I haven't heard anything update on him, but he'll, I'm sure he'll be fine for next week, but he takes some pretty big hits yesterday, you know, and it could just be the Broncos trying to be smart with him because he's so important to their third phase, but I don't think it's anything to worry about at this stage.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_01]: True.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_01]: All right, guys, love you.
