- 3:14Join us in this broadcast of Women at the Well Ministries as Kim begins our
- 3:18program, revealing to us the most amazing and loving person in the world,
- 3:22who not only knows us, but calls us to a personal relationship with Him.
- 3:28Following this exposition of Scripture, the staff of Women at the Well Ministries
- 3:31will discuss what this incredible truth means to them.
- 3:35Hello, and thank you for joining us in this broadcast of Woman at the Well Ministries.
- 3:39And we're going to speak out of a verse, Isaiah chapter 43 and verse 1.
- 3:45It says, But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob,
- 3:50and he that formed thee, O Israel.
- 3:53Fear not, for I have redeemed thee. I have called thee by thy name. Thou art mine.
- 3:59It seems that the longer we live, the more we run into people who try to kind
- 4:06of shove us down and belittle us. And it seems that even life itself can sometimes
- 4:12cause us to be discouraged.
- 4:13And the Bible says that we're not to be weary in well-doing.
- 4:17And that in itself is something that we should really consider and that we should put upon our lives.
- 4:23But it seems that sometimes that's difficult because it's just a commandment
- 4:28that tells us. And I don't mean just a commandment.
- 4:31I mean, it's something that tells us what we should do, but it doesn't really
- 4:35give us something to hold on to to allow us to be inspired and motivated to feel accepted.
- 4:43You see, the Bible says that we are to be a peculiar people.
- 4:47So if we are living as Christians, we don't exactly fit in.
- 4:52And this can sometimes cause us to feel like we're unimportant.
- 4:57That peculiar person, zealous of good works, can sometimes feel just a little
- 5:02awkward and out of place.
- 5:04And when you sit in the congregations of the world and when you're within the
- 5:09people and amongst them, you'll hear them talk about things and you'll begin
- 5:14to feel maybe just a little bit inferior.
- 5:17Because perhaps you haven't achieved the worldly successes that they have.
- 5:21Perhaps you haven't achieved the worldly notoriety, and that plays on your mind.
- 5:28But it won't touch your heart if it's absolutely bathed in Jesus Christ.
- 5:34If you really realize that our purpose on earth is to glorify God and not ourselves.
- 5:40If you really understand that we are pilgrims traveling through this journey,
- 5:46and that our real reward is on the other side.
- 5:50But even that in itself sometimes is not enough to keep us from being discouraged.
- 5:55But Isaiah chapter 43 and verse 1 gives us something that we can hold on to
- 6:01that will absolutely positively keep us from being discouraged.
- 6:05Because the God of the universe, the God of all creation, calls us by name.
- 6:12We know this because he says that he's no respecter of persons,
- 6:16that he's the same God yesterday, today, and forever. And in this verse,
- 6:19he speaks to Jacob by name.
- 6:22But as we began to look at this verse and we began to take it apart,
- 6:26there are so many wonderful nuggets of truth in there that we began to just explode with joy.
- 6:33Because what we see says the lord created thee we weren't an accident,
- 6:39you weren't a mistake you weren't an afterthought you weren't a byproduct you
- 6:47were created by the god of the universe,
- 6:50he thinks about you he prays for you and my dear friend he created you.
- 6:56He had a plan for you, we're told in Jeremiah 29, 11.
- 7:01And you are not just a happenstance, but you are a created being by the God
- 7:06of the universe, one in which he sent his entire son, his only begotten son,
- 7:12to lay his life down for you.
- 7:15And the son loved you so much that he gave his life willingly that we might go free.
- 7:21You are a created being by the God of the universe.
- 7:25As we move a little bit further in the verse, it says that he formed thee.
- 7:29I don't know about you, but just about every morning when I get up,
- 7:32I see something else I don't like about how I look.
- 7:35And somehow or another, I might get over what bugged me yesterday,
- 7:39but when I look in the mirror today, there'll surely be something else.
- 7:42And that gray hair that I plucked out yesterday somehow seems to spring three
- 7:46or four more somewhere else in my hair, and I realize that this is a defeated
- 7:50process. I can't continue to pull it out.
- 7:52Not only does it hurt them a little bit afraid of what's going to happen in the end.
- 7:58Sometimes we don't like our shape other times we don't like our height i spent
- 8:02most of my life wanting to be taller when i was a child i desperately wanted to be eight foot seven,
- 8:08now if god had ever answered those prayers wouldn't i have been a funny looking
- 8:12thing today eight foot seven and a female walking around in the world,
- 8:16talk about being out you know kind of odd and talk about not being the right
- 8:22fit in person that would have been that eight foot seven first grader.
- 8:27But you see, God knows these things, and God forms us exactly the way he wants.
- 8:33And my dear friend, let me tell you, I am not a tall person,
- 8:36but I am the exact height he wants me to be.
- 8:39Now, I wish I could tell you that I'm probably the exact weight that he wants
- 8:43me to be. What I can tell you is, is that I am the exact build that he wants
- 8:48me to be, because he formed me that way.
- 8:51And how I choose to take care of my body, and how I choose to eat,
- 8:55and how I choose to exercise can possibly alter that form at times.
- 8:59But the truth of the matter is he formed me, which meant he took time. He had an idea.
- 9:06He had a concept. And he took it to fruition and he created me from his own mold.
- 9:13And he formed me into the being that I am. That means he loves me.
- 9:18And you say, well, how do you get that out of that?
- 9:21Because he took time to consider he could have made me any way he wanted,
- 9:27he didn't just speak to a bunch of dirt and just throw it out there and see
- 9:32how it all came together and say wow that's kim miller he didn't do that,
- 9:36because he told me in jeremiah 1 5 before i formed thee in the belly i knew thee,
- 9:44he formed me the way he wanted it.
- 9:47And perhaps the most beautiful part of Isaiah 43.1 is further in to the verse.
- 9:53He says, fear not, I have redeemed thee.
- 9:57You see, he created me and he formed me. And he absolutely positively knew that
- 10:04he was going to have to redeem me.
- 10:06Because he knew that I would have a sin debt I could not pay.
- 10:11And Romans 3.23 says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
- 10:16But he says listen fear not i've redeemed thee i take you back to luke chapter
- 10:222 and verse 11 when he says for unto you is born this day in the city of david a savior,
- 10:28which is christ the lord so back on that day on february the 2nd in 1965 when
- 10:34i came into this world i was a created being that he had formed and he already had redeemed,
- 10:41me if i would but just accept,
- 10:44his gift of salvation the price for my sins had already been paid but i had
- 10:50to receive that gift of salvation and the bible says in romans 10 13 that whosoever
- 10:55shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved.
- 10:59I am a somebody because I am a created being formed by God who already took
- 11:04care of redeeming me. All I had to do was receive the free gift,
- 11:09and I have nothing to fear.
- 11:11But perhaps some of the sweetest words written in the scriptures to my ears,
- 11:16that penetrates my heart is found in the verse that he says,
- 11:21I have called thee by thy name.
- 11:25You see, my redemption is sure, and it wasn't a corporate salvation,
- 11:32he didn't say okay i'm going to call all of the short people in the world and
- 11:37they're going to be saved no he said i've called everybody,
- 11:41and he sends the holy spirit to knock on your heart's door and you have the
- 11:44opportunity to open that door and let him sup with you as he tells us in revelations
- 11:49and allow him to come and be the savior the redeemer of your soul,
- 11:54but it's personal.
- 11:56He came to Kim Miller.
- 11:58A young girl at the age of five and he spoke to her and he made that relationship
- 12:02real and he made that relationship personal.
- 12:05And he called me by name and he said after he redeemed me when I received his
- 12:10salvation, thou art mine.
- 12:14For you I died.
- 12:16He calls you by name.
- 12:18You see, sometimes we get lumped in as Christians. And that's a wonderful group
- 12:22of people to be associated with.
- 12:24Sometimes we are lumped at the church we go to.
- 12:28And we'll be members of that congregation. And for most of us,
- 12:31that's a wonderful thing to be.
- 12:33But you know what? On that day, when I am standing face to face with Jesus Christ.
- 12:40It's not going to be come forward all you Christians.
- 12:44It's not going to be come forward all you members of my church.
- 12:47It's not going to be come forward all the people that sit on the third row.
- 12:51Do you know what it's going to be?
- 12:53He's going to open up the Lamb's book of life. And he's going to look down that page.
- 12:58And he's going to see my name written there.
- 13:03And he's going to say, well done, I hope. But he's going to say,
- 13:07enter in into the joy of your salvation.
- 13:10For you once were lost, but now you're found.
- 13:13And I wrote your name down here when you received the free gift.
- 13:16I created you for such a time as this.
- 13:21You see, the Lord created me with heaven on his mind. Did you hear me?
- 13:27The Lord formed me with heaven on his mind.
- 13:31The Lord redeemed me with me on his mind when he went to the cross of Calvary.
- 13:38And that redemptive seal was stamped on my heart when I received the precious
- 13:42blood of Jesus Christ flowing through my heart, covering the multitude of sins,
- 13:47those that I would commit, those that I had committed, and those that I was committing right then.
- 13:53For the Lord God died once for all that we all might know the pleasant joy of being a child of God.
- 14:03So my friend, the next time the world may want to knock you down and the next
- 14:08time that the world may make you try to think that you're unimportant,
- 14:12I want you to know something.
- 14:14He's going to call you by name if you know him as Savior. And I want you to
- 14:18know something if you don't know him as Savior.
- 14:21He's tugging on your heart's door right now and the holy spirit is dealing with you personally,
- 14:28because he created you he formed you and he didn't spend all that time for you
- 14:33to go to hell so he spanned the gap that you would go to heaven,
- 14:37but he said you must believe in me for the bible says without faith it is impossible,
- 14:42to please him and you must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them
- 14:46that diligently seek him.
- 14:48My friend, he calls us by name, and he says thou art mine.
