- 0:34Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly,
- 0:38Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 0:40Speaker 1: We're editing the next Do It Live. It'll be with Haraldo.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Ooh, I like that.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So it was almost twenty years ago where we had
- 0:49Speaker 1: the brawl on television about illegal migrant crime. So Rawlo
- 0:56Speaker 1: is now eighty three years old and I'm thirty Evan, Yeah,
- 1:01Speaker 1: and we're going to reprise that and I think people
- 1:06Speaker 1: will find it very interesting about changes in his thinking
- 1:11Speaker 1: and my thinking over the twenty years. So that will
- 1:14Speaker 1: drop on Thursday. And Bill O'Reilly dot com thank you
- 1:18Speaker 1: for kindly mentioning. It is where all our stuff is.
- 1:21Speaker 1: We make it very easy for people to access it.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Yeah, so hey. You know, obviously every remembers the Barney
- 1:28Speaker 2: Frank battle you had, but I always remember George Will
- 1:33Speaker 2: because we all thought of very took him very seriously
- 1:36Speaker 2: with the bow tie, and then one night you just
- 1:38Speaker 2: really exposed that guy.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Yeah. It was the same old thing that mister Will
- 1:47Speaker 1: who writes for the Washington Post. Nothing wrong with that.
- 1:50Speaker 1: A traditional conservative out of the William Buckley cadre was
- 2:00Speaker 1: basically hating on Trump and by extension, anybody who thought
- 2:08Speaker 1: Trump was worthy. And I was ready. I was reading
- 2:12Speaker 1: his stuff. I don't mind people dissenting about President Trump.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I mean, come on, it's a country living. But Will's
- 2:21Speaker 1: analysis got to be very personal. And I know something
- 2:28Speaker 1: about George Will. He was very cozy with Ronald Reagan,
- 2:32Speaker 1: particularly Nancy Reagan. He dined with Nancy Reagan every week,
- 2:38Speaker 1: just him and her, and he was really deeply involved
- 2:43Speaker 1: at that Republican administration. And then he comes out and
- 2:51Speaker 1: does all this stuff. So I think I called him
- 2:54Speaker 1: a hack, which was immature on my part, but that's
- 2:59Speaker 1: a I think I've been right about him.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah, No, that was the end.
- 3:04Speaker 1: He's kind of disappeared and he's not relevant anymore because
- 3:09Speaker 1: he You know, once you get in and you're a
- 3:13Speaker 1: so called journalist, and once you get cozy with a politician,
- 3:18Speaker 1: any politician, you really lose credibility, you really do. And
- 3:23Speaker 1: that's what my objection to mister Will was.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Now it was you really punch your that balloon that night.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I never forgot that. So hey. Also, if you go
- 3:32Speaker 2: to Bill O'Reilly dot com, you can watch this you
- 3:34Speaker 2: on Bill Maher talking about Bill Maher. He goes on
- 3:37Speaker 2: NPR and he tells them right to their face how
- 3:39Speaker 2: slanted and biased they are. What do you make of
- 3:43Speaker 2: Bill Maher? Sometimes he's very logical, sometimes he's a little crazy.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I think mar himself is an independent thinker. I defended
- 3:56Speaker 1: him after nine eleven when he said that the terror
- 4:00Speaker 1: warren cowards. I don't know when you remember they got
- 4:02Speaker 1: fired from ABC for saying that. Yeah, And his point
- 4:08Speaker 1: of view was, look, they gave their lives for Allah
- 4:11Speaker 1: or whoever you know they're and they killed people. But
- 4:15Speaker 1: you can call them every name in the book, but
- 4:17Speaker 1: they weren't cowards. I didn't. I wasn't offended by that.
- 4:22Speaker 1: So when ABC fired him, because ABC was totally different
- 4:27Speaker 1: company at the time, I said, I don't think that's right.
- 4:32Speaker 1: You can disagree with mare now over the years, I
- 4:35Speaker 1: have a lot to do with Bill. I run into
- 4:39Speaker 1: him occasions on his program, uh in December. I mean,
- 4:44Speaker 1: he's a big pot guy. He and Woody Harrelson have
- 4:48Speaker 1: opened pot stores. I'm not into that drug culture. I
- 4:51Speaker 1: think it is very pernicious, particularly for children, you know,
- 4:56Speaker 1: parading around smoking pot. That's not a big plus in
- 5:01Speaker 1: my uh, in my thinking. But he's one of the
- 5:06Speaker 1: few that will go on television and say things that
- 5:11Speaker 1: he knows might come back to bite him. So he
- 5:15Speaker 1: does have an element of courage. And that's what I
- 5:19Speaker 1: pointed out. NPR is the biggest phony uh limousine liberal
- 5:24Speaker 1: network around. Maybe ps PBS is worst. But they're buying
- 5:29Speaker 1: for the title. And you know, Mars's there with the
- 5:33Speaker 1: guy and says, look, you guys are a bunch of
- 5:35Speaker 1: you know, propagandas primarily, which they are.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, Bill O Rydley, you're a big sports fan.
- 5:41Speaker 2: You attend a lot of games. What about this World Cup.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I'm glad it's over. I'm glad they're gone. Am I
- 5:46Speaker 2: wrong thing?
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah? I fall asleep in the last game. I mean,
- 5:53Speaker 1: soccer is not my my thing. I played a lot
- 5:56Speaker 1: of semi pro baseball, played high school ice hockey, and
- 5:59Speaker 1: college football. I'm a standardized American guy. I don't want
- 6:03Speaker 1: to be kicking the ball around for an hour and
- 6:05Speaker 1: twenty minutes. I mean, it's just not I don't play
- 6:08Speaker 1: golf either. I mean, you know, okay, how long are
- 6:12Speaker 1: we going to be out there with the little cart?
- 6:15Speaker 1: So the World Cup was excellent for America. Excellent not
- 6:21Speaker 1: a matter of who won or who lost, and you know,
- 6:23Speaker 1: but the images of our country and the people having
- 6:29Speaker 1: fun with foreign nationals who came over to watch the
- 6:33Speaker 1: games and the interactions were all very positive, extremely so.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And when you travel the world, and I've been in
- 6:41Speaker 1: ninety countries, you don't see that kind of Hey, America
- 6:45Speaker 1: is a great place. You don't see it. But you
- 6:49Speaker 1: did see it as a World Cup. And it's a
- 6:52Speaker 1: miracle that with all of those games and all of
- 6:55Speaker 1: those venues, nothing untoward happened, that our security services keep
- 7:02Speaker 1: things under control. Everything fell into place for the USA.
- 7:08Speaker 1: And you know, I'm proud of my country and I
- 7:10Speaker 1: was very proud of the way it handled the World Cup.
- 7:13Speaker 2: No, right, well, that's good points your book your new
- 7:17Speaker 2: book Confronting America. Hey, I've noticed some Democrats, some voices
- 7:22Speaker 2: are confronting their own party now, telling them they got
- 7:24Speaker 2: to get rid of this crazy left wing socialist looney
- 7:27Speaker 2: stuff and give back to normal. You think that's a
- 7:30Speaker 2: growing movement, Well, it.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Almost has to be if the Democratic Party believes it's
- 7:35Speaker 1: going to retain any kind of power. So it's a
- 7:38Speaker 1: new poll Washington Post pull out that even though President
- 7:43Speaker 1: Trump's underwater on your economy, under Iran, underwater on a
- 7:47Speaker 1: lot of big issues, the Republicans are within three points
- 7:53Speaker 1: of winning the mid term elections. This is a Washington Post.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And that's because people around the country they may say, oh,
- 8:03Speaker 1: I don't really like Donald Trump, or I don't like
- 8:06Speaker 1: the Republicans, but these other people are worse, and they
- 8:11Speaker 1: are so they've all come out of the closet, the
- 8:16Speaker 1: big communist closet, and they're all run a while with arrogance,
- 8:21Speaker 1: and we're going to do this. And the regular folks,
- 8:26Speaker 1: not the folks living on Park Avenue on the Upper
- 8:30Speaker 1: East Side or West side of Manhattan, the regular people
- 8:34Speaker 1: in Toledo, in Albuquerque don't want an enormous government telling
- 8:42Speaker 1: them how to live and if the Republican Party would
- 8:46Speaker 1: seize upon the potential danger of that, it would I
- 8:52Speaker 1: think win the midterms despite Iran and the affordability stuff.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Hey, your new book is Confronting America. It's a really
- 9:02Speaker 2: powerful book. You can order it on Amazon right now
- 9:05Speaker 2: or go to Bill O'Reilly dot com and it comes
- 9:09Speaker 2: out in September, right September fifteenth.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And the reason I wrote this book is, look like you,
- 9:17Speaker 1: I've been around for a while and we know everybody,
- 9:22Speaker 1: and we've seen pretty much everything. And I decided, look,
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'm not going to write a book about what anybody
- 9:30Speaker 1: else says. I'm not going to write a book about
- 9:33Speaker 1: history because I've done that. I may do it again,
- 9:36Speaker 1: but I've done that. I'm going to write a book
- 9:38Speaker 1: about what I've seen and what has influenced my life
- 9:43Speaker 1: and my kids and on and on and pinpoint the problems.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And the subtitle of the book is what has to
- 9:51Speaker 1: change and offer some solutions to the problems? And judging nuts.
- 9:56Speaker 1: So you know, I go on these shows on these days,
- 10:00Speaker 1: a whole bunch of other places, and they go affordability.
- 10:05Speaker 1: This is the left affordability, and it's okay, what's your
- 10:08Speaker 1: solution to affordability, silence. They don't have a solution because
- 10:14Speaker 1: the government does not control the capitalistic economy. Remember eggs.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Remember when Trump came eggs. Eggs, Oh, eggs, They're eighty
- 10:24Speaker 1: dollars an egg. Okay, Now eggs are lower than they've
- 10:28Speaker 1: ever been because there are more eggs in the marketplace,
- 10:33Speaker 1: and the transportation problems, the getting the eggs into the
- 10:37Speaker 1: grocery stores has been solved. That's capitalism. The government has
- 10:42Speaker 1: nothing to do with price and wages. It tried it,
- 10:48Speaker 1: it failed. And so when you hear the words affordability,
- 10:53Speaker 1: which you'll hear a thousand times up until November, then
- 10:58Speaker 1: you just look, Okay, what are you gonna do? What
- 11:01Speaker 1: is before? Billy? What are you gonna do now? Ma'am Donnie,
- 11:04Speaker 1: to his credit, I don't believe I just said that
- 11:09Speaker 1: says I'm taking over everything. I'm gonna take over everything.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Food distribution, Who comes in and out of New York City?
- 11:20Speaker 1: How much you have to pay New York City? And
- 11:22Speaker 1: now I'll keep going up and up and up and
- 11:24Speaker 1: up and up just to live here. How many months
- 11:28Speaker 1: you can stay in an apartment? I mean, he's a
- 11:32Speaker 1: and I'm taking it all over all right, No matter
- 11:35Speaker 1: what it is, the means of production of New York City,
- 11:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna run it. Okay, at least the guy's honest,
- 11:45Speaker 1: guy like Bill maher Right. Is this what you want?
- 11:49Speaker 1: A thirty four year old slacker telling you how to live?
- 11:54Speaker 1: Is that what you want?
- 11:56Speaker 2: No, Bill O'Riley, we're out of time, but everybody, get
- 11:59Speaker 2: the book Confronting America. You can pre order it right now,
- 12:02Speaker 2: or any of Bill O'Reilly's books. Watch the podcast We'll
- 12:04Speaker 2: Do It Live. Hey, go back and watch the Lindsey
- 12:07Speaker 2: Graham episode. They're all great, and the TV show, the column.
