- 5:24Speaker 3: Hayden Pennantier's mother released a statement after her passing. They've
- 5:28Speaker 3: been estranged Leslie Vogel. She also revealed a few months
- 5:31Speaker 3: ago that they've been estranged, but the statement she issued said,
- 5:35Speaker 3: this person in her life that we have been trying
- 5:37Speaker 3: to get rid of for quite some time was with
- 5:39Speaker 3: her at her death, and that was Brian Hickerson, that
- 5:43Speaker 3: is Hayden's on again, off again boyfriend. And she said,
- 5:46Speaker 3: I think Hayden was an amazingly talented person in so
- 5:49Speaker 3: many departments, and I think young people who grew up
- 5:52Speaker 3: in the entertainment industry, it's a struggle and very challenging.
- 5:55Speaker 3: I've seen some there's interviews of Hayden all over social
- 5:58Speaker 3: media this week after she passed away, and I did
- 6:01Speaker 3: not realize her mother was also an actress and Hayden was.
- 6:05Speaker 1: She was acting as a little kid.
- 6:07Speaker 3: She was one of the voices in a Bugs life
- 6:10Speaker 3: as a little kid. So she has definitely grown up
- 6:13Speaker 3: and done a lot of that since childhood. But that's
- 6:16Speaker 3: three things you need to know more at the Alabamashow dot.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Com The Alabama Show on demand free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Good morning, Rob, what's your issue for?
- 6:28Speaker 1: Ask Alabama?
- 6:29Speaker 8: My wife once a fourth child and I don't.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Oh no, that's why we do Ask Alabama. If you
- 6:36Speaker 3: ever have an issue, called the Show eight three three
- 6:38Speaker 3: five O one Bama and we do our best to help.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Or maybe somebody listening to the show has been through
- 6:43Speaker 3: this and can give you some advice. Why does your
- 6:46Speaker 3: wife want another kid and you don't what's going on?
- 6:49Speaker 8: We've been married for fifteen years and we have three
- 6:51Speaker 8: daughters already When we got married, I was twenty one
- 6:54Speaker 8: and really wasn't ready to have kids that young, but
- 6:57Speaker 8: my wife wanted to have kids, so we did.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Okay, how old are your daughters. They're teenagers.
- 7:03Speaker 8: In life is getting much easier because they'll be out
- 7:05Speaker 8: of the house in the.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Next ten years.
- 7:07Speaker 8: And my wife is saying she wants to have one
- 7:10Speaker 8: more baby before it's too late.
- 7:12Speaker 3: What did you say when she said she wanted to
- 7:15Speaker 3: have another baby?
- 7:16Speaker 8: I told her I'm done having children, and she's threatening
- 7:18Speaker 8: to get a downer and have a baby without me.
- 7:21Speaker 3: So she's saying that she'll go to one of those
- 7:23Speaker 3: clinics and get pregnant.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And have a baby without you. Anyway. Oh, that's that's tough.
- 7:29Speaker 8: I'm honestly at a loss and I have no idea
- 7:31Speaker 8: how to even handle this.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Let's see if we can get some advice for you,
- 7:35Speaker 3: because obviously, if one person wants a baby and the
- 7:37Speaker 3: other one doesn't, it, that's gonna that's eighteen years of
- 7:39Speaker 3: that kid's life that you're committed to.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Has anybody ever been through this? Call the show? Eight
- 7:45Speaker 1: three three five I one Bama is the number. What
- 7:48Speaker 1: should Rob do? Since his wife wants a baby and
- 7:51Speaker 1: he does not. And have you ever gone through something
- 7:53Speaker 1: like that? That's a eight three three five I one
- 7:56Speaker 1: two two six.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Two Yelabama show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Rob and his wife have been married for fifteen years.
- 8:04Speaker 3: His wife wants to have a baby, he does not.
- 8:06Speaker 3: They already have two teenage daughters, and Rob has no
- 8:09Speaker 3: idea what to do because she said she'll go and
- 8:12Speaker 3: get a donor and have a baby anyway. Eight three
- 8:14Speaker 3: three five oh one Bama is the number if you've
- 8:16Speaker 3: ever been through anything like this?
- 8:19Speaker 1: Good morning? Who's this?
- 8:21Speaker 8: This is your favorite?
- 8:23Speaker 1: Steven? Steven? Where are you calling? Good morning? Where are
- 8:26Speaker 1: you calling?
- 8:26Speaker 7: From?
- 8:27Speaker 1: University of Alabama?
- 8:28Speaker 3: Right now?
- 8:29Speaker 1: Roll Todd? What's going on?
- 8:30Speaker 7: Hi?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Just kids going back to school?
- 8:33Speaker 3: I know?
- 8:34Speaker 7: Are you glad I get a kid?
- 8:36Speaker 1: All right?
- 8:37Speaker 3: Tell me what Rob should do where his wife wants
- 8:39Speaker 3: a baby and he doesn't.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Rob needs see if she will go to counseling.
- 8:44Speaker 7: She won't do that.
- 8:45Speaker 1: He needs to cut her loose because that's too much. Yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 1: I mean in her saying she gonna go have one
- 8:53Speaker 1: without him, that's just so disrespectful. It's a lifelong commitment.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Having a kid is a lifelong commitment.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Tell him to angle it. Telling the talk to her
- 9:03Speaker 3: like he wants to give the child they have the
- 9:05Speaker 3: best life possible. When you have another child, you have
- 9:09Speaker 3: to divide that time.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, manipulator, that's great advice.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I know that is Steven. I mean that is
- 9:21Speaker 3: good advice because they do already have teenage daughters and
- 9:24Speaker 3: they would probably be like, why are y'all having a
- 9:26Speaker 3: baby right now?
- 9:27Speaker 8: I am curious what they're going to suffer financially, because
- 9:31Speaker 8: you can't give everyone everything.
- 9:33Speaker 3: The fewer you have, the more you got to give
- 9:36Speaker 3: those Once we got too many people on earth.
- 9:38Speaker 5: What's wrong with her?
- 9:41Speaker 1: That's a whole other rabbit hole. We ain't going down.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Thank you have a good one to love you to Bye.
- 9:48Speaker 2: It's three things you need to know you the EMO.
- 9:52Speaker 3: It is still hot in Alabama, warm and muggy over
- 9:54Speaker 3: the next twenty four hours, with temperatures reaching mid to
- 9:57Speaker 3: upper nineties and most of the state near one hundred
- 9:59Speaker 3: deg through West Alabama. If Tuscaloosa hits one hundred degrees
- 10:03Speaker 3: again today, it's going to be five straight days of
- 10:05Speaker 3: triple digit heat for Tescalalusa. So just stay in the
- 10:09Speaker 3: ac as much as you can.
- 10:11Speaker 1: It has been a miserable week with the heat.
- 10:12Speaker 3: We are doing you know well, I mean we're not
- 10:15Speaker 3: doing anything. We can't control the weather, but we still
- 10:18Speaker 3: have a heat advisory through nine pm through most of
- 10:20Speaker 3: the state today, So just stay hydrated, stay cool.
- 10:24Speaker 1: The twenty twenty.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Six MTV Video Music Award nominees dropped yesterday. Madonna's in
- 10:28Speaker 3: the lead with eleven nominations, which is weird to me
- 10:31Speaker 3: because it just is I'm not going to go down
- 10:34Speaker 3: that rabbit hole. Behind her is Taylor Swift with nine nominations.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter are tied with seven nominations.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Fan voting is open now.
- 10:43Speaker 3: At vote dot MTV dot com through September twenty fifth,
- 10:47Speaker 3: and then the show airs live Sunday, September twenty seventh
- 10:50Speaker 3: on CBS, and we'll see who takes home the most awards.
- 10:54Speaker 3: There's a new Netflix dating docuseries following singles after a
- 10:58Speaker 3: major weight loss.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Okay, I'm interested to see how this goes. It's called
- 11:03Speaker 1: Weight to Date.
- 11:04Speaker 3: It will follow singles who went through a significant weight
- 11:07Speaker 3: loss as they navigate romance and identity.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Because a lot of people when they lose a lot
- 11:12Speaker 1: of weight.
- 11:13Speaker 3: It's like they have to completely They change internally, so
- 11:16Speaker 3: then they're learning how to date. They're currently casting, So
- 11:20Speaker 3: if this is you and you're eighteen and older, you
- 11:22Speaker 3: could be on the show. They say it's going to
- 11:24Speaker 3: be more similar to Love on the Spectrum versus Love
- 11:27Speaker 3: is Blind.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I love Love on the Spectrum.
- 11:29Speaker 4: That makes a lot more sense because you do change
- 11:31Speaker 4: emotionally when you lose a lot of weight or gain
- 11:33Speaker 4: a lot of weight, you just turn into a different person.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Absolutely. That's three things you need to know. More at
- 11:38Speaker 3: The Alabama Show dot com.
- 11:41Speaker 2: The Alabama Show on to Men, It's amazing free on
- 11:44Speaker 2: the iHeartRadio app.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Eight three three five oh one, Bama is the number
- 11:48Speaker 3: to call the show.
- 11:48Speaker 1: If you have good news, we want to celebrate with you.
- 11:51Speaker 3: That's eight three three five oh one two two sixty
- 11:53Speaker 3: two Nicole, Good morning, Do you have good news? I
- 11:56Speaker 3: do have some good news.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Over the last few months, I've been waiting for a
- 12:01Speaker 5: particular position to open up. It requires a few licenses
- 12:05Speaker 5: and certifications, and I finally completed all my licensis and certifications,
- 12:10Speaker 5: and I was.
- 12:11Speaker 9: Really really excited, and I got to the point where
- 12:14Speaker 9: it was trying to interview for the position, and they
- 12:17Speaker 9: switched the position roll on me at the last minute,
- 12:20Speaker 9: and I was like devastated because, let me tell you,
- 12:22Speaker 9: I had my heart set on it.
- 12:23Speaker 5: But I was like, you know what, I'm still going
- 12:25Speaker 5: to go through the interview because I didn't want them
- 12:27Speaker 5: to say, well, she kind of selected out. I'm not
- 12:29Speaker 5: sure she actually really wanted it, even though it was
- 12:30Speaker 5: the wrong position. I did the interview and in the
- 12:34Speaker 5: middle of the interview, he said, you.
- 12:35Speaker 9: Know what, I know they have you for this position,
- 12:37Speaker 9: but we actually think that, based on your skill set,
- 12:40Speaker 9: you would be a better fit for the other position,
- 12:43Speaker 9: which was the original position that I wanted.
- 12:45Speaker 5: They said, you know, had a close and wasn't available.
- 12:48Speaker 9: So girl, I was so excited I got the position.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Yes, can you tell me what the position was or no.
- 12:58Speaker 9: I can't go into two too much detail, but I
- 13:01Speaker 9: will say it does involve a lot more closer engagement
- 13:05Speaker 9: with customers who are elderly who would need additional assistants
- 13:09Speaker 9: that think you usually would get on the backhand.
- 13:11Speaker 5: So I can't really go into the specifics because of.
- 13:13Speaker 7: The type of job that it is, but it really does.
- 13:15Speaker 9: Have an opportunity for me to make a difference where
- 13:18Speaker 9: otherwise I wouldn't been able to look.
- 13:19Speaker 1: At you being so professional too. I love this for you.
- 13:23Speaker 1: That is awesome. Congratulation girl. Do you like sushi? You
- 13:28Speaker 1: want a gift card to Rock and Roll Sushi because.
- 13:30Speaker 3: They love to help people celebrate, and I think this
- 13:33Speaker 3: deserves a gift card.
- 13:34Speaker 9: Oh, thank you so much. I love so. I'm not
- 13:37Speaker 9: gonna be happy to hear that.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 13:42Speaker 2: The Alabama Show on to Man Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I took Memo to the doctor yesterday as you do. Yes,
- 13:50Speaker 1: of course, thanks.
- 13:51Speaker 3: For listening to the Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with producer Blake.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Mema is my grandmother who raised me. We have called
- 13:57Speaker 3: her on the show. She's very satsy. Producer Blake loves Mema.
- 14:00Speaker 1: I love me while she's so funny. I love her.
- 14:02Speaker 1: She gives you a heart. She gives all of us
- 14:04Speaker 1: a hard time. Yeah, but she's so fun.
- 14:07Speaker 3: So let me tell you about the fun that happened yesterday.
- 14:10Speaker 3: First off, I almost texted you while we were in
- 14:12Speaker 3: the waiting room. She had to get shots on her knees,
- 14:15Speaker 3: and you know how you have an auditory thing where
- 14:17Speaker 3: if people are slurping, you have a meltdown. Yeah, Mama
- 14:21Speaker 3: was so nervous about the shots.
- 14:25Speaker 1: She pulled out gum and goes, you want some gum?
- 14:28Speaker 1: I wouldn't know, and she started chewing the gum with
- 14:31Speaker 1: her mouth open. It was so loud and she was
- 14:34Speaker 1: aggressively chewing it going. It sounded like a water fountain going.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I I I almost got up and walked out of
- 14:42Speaker 3: the room, but I didn't.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I love you, Mamma, you're listening. I almost text you
- 14:46Speaker 1: for that. But here's what also she did, Okay, memo's
- 14:50Speaker 1: full of stuff. So her doctor is retiring.
- 14:53Speaker 3: And if you have a parent or grandparent like this
- 14:55Speaker 3: that you take to the doctor that just says whatever
- 14:57Speaker 3: they want, please call the show eight three three five
- 15:00Speaker 3: one Bama.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Her doctor's retiring.
- 15:02Speaker 3: So she gave her two doctor recommendations to switch over
- 15:06Speaker 3: to and broad in the cards and me.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Mall goes to me.
- 15:10Speaker 3: She said, I'm gonna get you to google them when
- 15:13Speaker 3: we leave to see which one's the youngest one, because
- 15:15Speaker 3: all these other doctors keep retiring before I die, and
- 15:18Speaker 3: I don't want another one to retire.
- 15:21Speaker 1: So her doctor that's retiring.
- 15:23Speaker 3: She goes out and gets their cards and bring it
- 15:25Speaker 3: in and I looked at her. I said, me, Ma
- 15:27Speaker 3: would like to know which one's the youngest so they
- 15:30Speaker 3: don't retire before she dies. And the doctors started laughing
- 15:35Speaker 3: and then just wrote on the card young She was,
- 15:38Speaker 3: this one's the young one, you am, And then she
- 15:42Speaker 3: started listening all of her other doctors that have retired
- 15:45Speaker 3: and how devastated she is.
- 15:47Speaker 4: So she just rolled with it and said, let me
- 15:49Speaker 4: tell you about my life. Me mall's an interesting character
- 15:55Speaker 4: to take anywhere from a liss of what I've heard,
