- 0:01Speaker 1: John Jay, this is kind of creepy. There maybe a
- 0:05Speaker 1: whole new reason to be very careful about who you
- 0:07Speaker 1: are talking to and your TikTok dms. I'll explain after
- 0:10Speaker 1: Zara Larks.
- 0:19Speaker 2: And let me ask you guys something before get the
- 0:20Speaker 2: Three Things. Was there a storm last night? Oh? Yeah, yeah,
- 0:24Speaker 2: because last night I was sleeping and I heard thunder
- 0:26Speaker 2: and I was like, oh no, And then I got
- 0:28Speaker 2: up this morning everything was normal.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Did you get an emergency alert?
- 0:31Speaker 1: No, we had a huge dust storm like this morning.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Everyone's trash cans were knocked over, there was more trees down.
- 0:38Speaker 1: It was it was pretty insane.
- 0:39Speaker 3: You had alert yeah, about like eight thirty something like that.
- 0:42Speaker 3: And uh Then as soon as I saw my kid
- 0:44Speaker 3: joke at home, He's like, it looks bad out there,
- 0:46Speaker 3: and I'm like, don't look bad here. Then all of
- 0:48Speaker 3: a sudden, the wind starts howling, and it was it
- 0:51Speaker 3: was nasty out by me on the east side.
- 0:53Speaker 4: I swear that these storms they are coming out of nowhere,
- 0:55Speaker 4: Like it's one second it's everything fine, then the next
- 0:58Speaker 4: it's like sixty mile per hour wins And I swear
- 1:00Speaker 4: that there's someone out there in a control room messing
- 1:03Speaker 4: with us turning on and off these storms.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yeah, well I'm buying that one different things we need
- 1:10Speaker 2: to know, Kylin FuG.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Almost ninety thousand people have either been told to leave
- 1:15Speaker 1: their homes or be ready to leave because of this
- 1:17Speaker 1: wildfire near Reno that absolutely exploded over the weekend. The
- 1:20Speaker 1: Hawk fire grew to more than fifteen thousand acres with
- 1:24Speaker 1: zero percent containment. For saying forty two thousand people to
- 1:27Speaker 1: evacuate like I said, another forty five thousand have to
- 1:30Speaker 1: be ready to go, and official say it was caused
- 1:32Speaker 1: by a person. They still don't know exactly how though.
- 1:36Speaker 1: In any case, the damage has already been done. Homes
- 1:38Speaker 1: have already been burned, six people have been hurt. And
- 1:39Speaker 1: the scary part is the winds are expected to get
- 1:41Speaker 1: even stronger through Thursday of this week, so they don't
- 1:45Speaker 1: expect to be half much containment of this fire. And
- 1:48Speaker 1: it's near so many homes in people that it's it's
- 1:50Speaker 1: definitely scary. TikTok maybe looking at letting you send people
- 1:56Speaker 1: money right through your DM, so think like basically Venmo
- 1:59Speaker 1: in side TikTok. Hidden code for the future was found
- 2:03Speaker 1: in the app, although TikTok said, they're not actually testing
- 2:05Speaker 1: it right now, so it may never happen. The code
- 2:08Speaker 1: is there for if they do want it to happen,
- 2:10Speaker 1: and obviously.
- 2:11Speaker 2: You owed me a hundred bucks, said to me on TikTok,
- 2:13Speaker 2: ee venmo or Zelle exactly.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Seems we're Obviously the big concern would be scammers, right
- 2:18Speaker 1: because imagine getting one of those sketchy dms and now
- 2:21Speaker 1: there's a button right there to send them money, and
- 2:23Speaker 1: you do and then you're out of money.
- 2:25Speaker 3: But we're not just linking your bank account to TikTok who.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I don't know if we totally trust. We use it,
- 2:29Speaker 3: but do we trust them be dangerous?
- 2:32Speaker 1: Could be, But like I said, they're not even testing
- 2:34Speaker 1: it right now, but the code is there, so it
- 2:36Speaker 1: is a future possibility. You may see headlines about these
- 2:40Speaker 1: flock cameras, and honestly, I had no idea they were
- 2:43Speaker 1: even a thing. But apparently there's these cameras all over
- 2:46Speaker 1: the country quietly taking pictures of our license plates as
- 2:49Speaker 1: we drive by. They're called flock cameras, and now there's
- 2:53Speaker 1: more than one hundred and twenty thousand of them over
- 2:55Speaker 1: our fifty nine states and police actually use them to
- 2:57Speaker 1: find stolen cars, missing people, and suspects. But there's a
- 3:00Speaker 1: lot of privacy groups that are like, wait, so you
- 3:03Speaker 1: can basically track where someone's car has been, and then
- 3:06Speaker 1: does it stop at tracking license plates or what else
- 3:10Speaker 1: are they taking pictures of?
- 3:12Speaker 3: Well you saw that the like a bunch of police
- 3:13Speaker 3: in Florida got arrested because a few of them were
- 3:16Speaker 3: stalking their ex girlfriends.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Well that's interesting, you say that, Richard, because now there
- 3:21Speaker 1: is a website called have I Been flocked dot com
- 3:25Speaker 1: and you can put your license plates in and see
- 3:27Speaker 1: if your license plates have been searched through this flock system.
- 3:31Speaker 1: And like I said, there's a lot of privacy groups
- 3:33Speaker 1: that are speaking out against this. In fact, in San
- 3:35Speaker 1: Diego there was I guess a a friendly patron who
- 3:38Speaker 1: dressed up as Darth Vader at like one of those
- 3:41Speaker 1: city council meetings to say how much Darth Vader loves
- 3:44Speaker 1: the Flock system.
- 3:46Speaker 5: The Emperor is a fan of Flock, and we must
- 3:50Speaker 5: continue utilizing flock technologies so that we can follow and
- 3:54Speaker 5: surveil the rebels come. Because we all know that the
- 3:57Speaker 5: flock cameras are not only following the license plate readers.
- 4:01Speaker 5: They are following children, They are following children in parks
- 4:04Speaker 5: and gymnasiums, and we need this. I need this so
- 4:08Speaker 5: I can stuck my ex girlfriend.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Okay, So he's making a point.
- 4:12Speaker 1: That it is bad, right, right, he's saying they probably
- 4:15Speaker 1: have gone too far, and there are a lot of
- 4:16Speaker 1: communities that are actually getting rid of the cameras because
- 4:18Speaker 1: they've become uncomfortable with exactly how much information and what
- 4:21Speaker 1: data they're actually collecting.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Did you plug your an address in or you're like.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Dead, I have not been searched.
- 4:27Speaker 2: You haven't been flocked. I have not been flocked yet.
- 4:29Speaker 2: It doesn't necessarily mean can you flock somebody? Or is
- 4:32Speaker 2: it just the cameras? Like can you plug it? Heyy,
- 4:33Speaker 2: can you flock this address?
- 4:37Speaker 1: But yeah, I'm sure.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Did you say there's fifty nine states? Forty nine? Did
- 4:41Speaker 2: I say? I might say fifty nine. I was like,
- 4:43Speaker 2: I know, I've been out of it for a while.
- 4:44Speaker 2: They have been mine editor for you this week?
- 4:46Speaker 1: You know, well, there are there's always room for improvement,
- 4:49Speaker 1: right walk, that's three things you need to know
