- 0:00Speaker 1: Spreading rumors. I mean, we're going to start with a
- 0:06Speaker 1: guy that Strip knows well, Dustin May. So the Saint
- 0:10Speaker 1: Louis Post Dispatch put in how despite the Cardinals being contention,
- 0:15Speaker 1: they're still going to listen on offers for Dustin May.
- 0:19Speaker 1: And now he's had a little bit of a slower patch,
- 0:21Speaker 1: but man, he's had a good year. And in the
- 0:24Speaker 1: article it says by the end of this month, the
- 0:25Speaker 1: Cardinals will entertain trade offers for the right. He's on
- 0:28Speaker 1: a one year deal with a twenty million dollars mutual option,
- 0:30Speaker 1: and for anyone that doesn't know all the mutual option stuff,
- 0:32Speaker 1: it doesn't really mean anything. So it's just this year
- 0:35Speaker 1: and then he's going to be a free agent again.
- 0:36Speaker 1: If he keeps us up, it's going to go well.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Maybe that helps him not to get a qualifying offer,
- 0:41Speaker 1: so he could be like slightly.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Okay with it.
- 0:44Speaker 1: But Strip, it sounded like when we spoke to Dustin May,
- 0:48Speaker 1: he found a home and a spot where he's comfortable
- 0:51Speaker 1: and he's got the flow going. And you can speak
- 0:54Speaker 1: to how you don't want to disrupt that.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Yeah, really saking on behalf of Dustin May.
- 1:01Speaker 3: In that regard, you know, his last few years tenure
- 1:05Speaker 3: with the Dodgers after you know, being almost like a
- 1:07Speaker 3: Rookie of the Year type candidate when he was hurt
- 1:09Speaker 3: and then kind of had a hard time getting his footing,
- 1:12Speaker 3: and you're right, finds a place in Saint Louis where
- 1:14Speaker 3: you know he had a maddox a couple of weeks ago.
- 1:16Speaker 2: He's really having a pretty good.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Year, and you just you feel for the athlete when
- 1:22Speaker 3: you start seeing headlines like this because he's just trying
- 1:24Speaker 3: to take the ball every fifth day for a team
- 1:26Speaker 3: that's in contention that he's really helped stay in contention
- 1:29Speaker 3: by being a very good starter. And all the while,
- 1:32Speaker 3: now I'm reading that I'm on the trade block, and
- 1:35Speaker 3: you know they're going to field calls on my behalf
- 1:38Speaker 3: and it just, you know, it just throws like a
- 1:39Speaker 3: little wrinkle in there when you're already trying to get
- 1:42Speaker 3: player X Y Z out in the box and big
- 1:44Speaker 3: leaders and now I'm thinking about that and had that
- 1:47Speaker 3: weight on my shoulders. I feel for Dustin May, but
- 1:48Speaker 3: it does kind of go back to what I was
- 1:50Speaker 3: asking with Robert Murray earlier, which is like kind of
- 1:53Speaker 3: the buy and sell thing at the deadline.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Like, if I'm the Cardinals, it probably kind of makes sense.
- 1:57Speaker 2: This guy's on a one year deal.
- 1:58Speaker 3: He's done a good job for us, but we can
- 2:00Speaker 3: flip him for some prospects or for someone that can
- 2:03Speaker 3: help me out longer term than the next three months
- 2:05Speaker 3: that I have for Dustin May. I'm in a field
- 2:07Speaker 3: calls on Dustin May. So I once again I feel
- 2:09Speaker 3: like I come here and I always take both sides,
- 2:11Speaker 3: and here I am again doing it.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I see both sides.
- 2:13Speaker 3: It stinks for Dustin May to have to pitch through
- 2:15Speaker 3: those rumors, but it's probably smart on behalf of the
- 2:17Speaker 3: Saint Louis Cardinals strip.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I need you to pick them on inside the fence,
- 2:20Speaker 4: all right, We're not sitting on the fence here. This
- 2:23Speaker 4: isn't like, that's not how we're gonna play it. But
- 2:26Speaker 4: my question is, because you hear all the time people
- 2:28Speaker 4: are like, well, if this hitter would walk more, if
- 2:30Speaker 4: he would walk more plate discipline, you can't just you
- 2:33Speaker 4: can't just be like, oh, well, I'll just not swing
- 2:35Speaker 4: at balls anymore. If I'm a guy that's aggressive. Dustin
- 2:39Speaker 4: May's whip is down almost a zero point five for
- 2:43Speaker 4: the year. I mean point four from his career to
- 2:46Speaker 4: this season, and if you take away his best seasons,
- 2:49Speaker 4: it's even down more than that. Do you think if
- 2:52Speaker 4: he goes somewhere else he's able to keep that or
- 2:56Speaker 4: is it, you know, for a pitcher, is that something
- 2:59Speaker 4: that's like, hey, you know what, I see this change
- 3:02Speaker 4: in him? Because you can't just be like, well, he's
- 3:04Speaker 4: really attacking the zone more. He's just throwing more middle middle,
- 3:07Speaker 4: like guys have been trying to do that all the
- 3:09Speaker 4: time with all the other teams he played with. So
- 3:11Speaker 4: do you feel like it's something that he leaves Saint
- 3:14Speaker 4: Louis and that's gone, or do you think it's something
- 3:17Speaker 4: he can take with it?
- 3:20Speaker 3: As quickly as I can answer Cratzy, I think it
- 3:23Speaker 3: is something you obviously try and take with you. But
- 3:25Speaker 3: when you enter a new organization that a few things happen.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Man new coaches and new scheme get their eyes and
- 3:31Speaker 3: their thoughts on you, where they now think we can
- 3:34Speaker 3: deploy your arsenal this way and we think we can
- 3:36Speaker 3: get x amount better from you. That happened to me
- 3:39Speaker 3: when I got to the Giants. I had a really
- 3:40Speaker 3: good change up and they're like, we're going to actually
- 3:42Speaker 3: try the splitter because we think it can actually get
- 3:43Speaker 3: a little bit more swing and miss than you're already good.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Change up and then I stunk, you know.
- 3:48Speaker 3: So it just kind of it depends on how active
- 3:51Speaker 3: these new coaches are going to be on trying to
- 3:53Speaker 3: change him, and then I would actually say how good
- 3:56Speaker 3: his first one, two, three outings go. If they don't
- 3:58Speaker 3: go well, a lot of things are going to change,
- 4:01Speaker 3: and I think you're going to see some struggles mentally
- 4:03Speaker 3: physically from any pitcher right because he's in a new place.
- 4:06Speaker 3: He's trying to show why they trade it for him,
- 4:07Speaker 3: what he can bring to the table. And if those
- 4:09Speaker 3: first ones don't go well, man, the sky's the limit
- 4:13Speaker 3: on what can go badly after that. So he's going
- 4:16Speaker 3: to try and bring it with them, and then it's
- 4:17Speaker 3: going to kind of depend on results after that.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I think.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Okay, so if he does bad, panic at the disco,
- 4:23Speaker 4: trade him before the next there's no trade deadline anymore,
- 4:26Speaker 4: so they got him. But my comment on the whole
- 4:29Speaker 4: Cardinals thing, I love that they're actually looking to trade
- 4:34Speaker 4: him and get value from him. I hate it for
- 4:37Speaker 4: Cardinals fans, but I also love if that's the case
- 4:41Speaker 4: that I think I'm evaluating the Cardinals the same way
- 4:45Speaker 4: that the front office would be valuating him, and people
- 4:47Speaker 4: would say, well, you know, you got to get value
- 4:49Speaker 4: when you can. The Cardinals are not a small market.
- 4:51Speaker 4: They play against small markets besides the Cubs, but they're
- 4:54Speaker 4: not a small market. They have I think the fourth
- 4:57Speaker 4: richest owner in baseball, and I think if they're trying
- 5:01Speaker 4: to find value in this, I think it's Hein Bloom
- 5:04Speaker 4: doubling down, tripling down on what he knows will develop
- 5:07Speaker 4: this organization. And he's not fooled by what he sees
- 5:12Speaker 4: in the record column. Right now. Their team, in my opinion,
- 5:16Speaker 4: is not good enough. Their pitching staff is not good
- 5:19Speaker 4: enough with or without Dustin May to make a deep
- 5:22Speaker 4: run in playoffs, or even make the playoffs in a
- 5:24Speaker 4: tough National League.
- 5:28Speaker 1: People dehydration sucks. Quint's electrolyte stick packs to the rescue.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I order them, I use them all of the time.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Somebody who may or may not have had some adult
- 5:40Speaker 5: beverages in their life. The next day, you know what flavor,
- 5:42Speaker 5: I like watermelon, and I don't like watermelon. I'll go
- 5:45Speaker 5: raspberry and it helps me to get my citrus salt in.
- 5:49Speaker 5: But if I do, it helps me to get back
- 5:51Speaker 5: to normal, feeling good and ready to go the next day.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Yep, tough workout or dry them out in the morning.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Whatever it is, this is going to help you out.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Quint always has the best deals for you. You can
- 6:01Speaker 1: go on their website and see a number of products
- 6:04Speaker 1: we're talking about, not only a product that tastes great,
- 6:06Speaker 1: but has zero sugar options that are also Stevia free.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Give your body what it really needs to stay hydrated.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Go to quins dot com slash foul for free shipping
- 6:14Speaker 1: on your order in three sixty five day returns. That's
- 6:16Speaker 1: qui n ce dot com slash foul for free shipping
- 6:20Speaker 1: in three sixty five day returns quins dot com slash foul.
- 6:22Speaker 1: These statements have not been evaluated by the FEUD and
- 6:24Speaker 1: Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, street
- 6:27Speaker 1: care or prevent any disease. It's just hard. And we're
- 6:30Speaker 1: about to talk about the Marlins too, because they're in
- 6:32Speaker 1: a similar spot as we're doing this segment. They're actually
- 6:35Speaker 1: in the same exact spot. They're matched for the third
- 6:38Speaker 1: wildcard position. It's tough, right, and actually they have two
- 6:41Speaker 1: different things. The Cardinals, I think have the offense to
- 6:44Speaker 1: be able to keep up with just about anyone. For
- 6:47Speaker 1: the Marlins, they have close to enough pitching to keep
- 6:49Speaker 1: up with people.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Right.
- 6:50Speaker 1: We can transition to that because in this article it
- 6:53Speaker 1: also went over an ESPN report that the Marlins likely
- 6:56Speaker 1: won't be buyers of anything big, right, but they probably
- 7:00Speaker 1: are going to hold on to Sandy al Contra if
- 7:02Speaker 1: this keeps up, and that's big news too.
- 7:06Speaker 4: I think he's I think he's I think they're in
- 7:08Speaker 4: a different spot. We kind of talked about yesterday who's
- 7:10Speaker 4: better the Marlins or the White Sox. Today we're talking
- 7:13Speaker 4: the Marlins or the Cardinals. Similar records, and I think
- 7:20Speaker 4: the Marlins are in a better spot. I think their
- 7:22Speaker 4: pitching is something that even if they don't make moves,
- 7:26Speaker 4: I still think they're in a good spot because of
- 7:28Speaker 4: the fact that their look at all on offense is fine.
- 7:33Speaker 4: It's not as good as the Cardinals, but their pitching
- 7:36Speaker 4: is gonna give you, is gonna give you fits off
- 7:40Speaker 4: so often. They're gonna give you so much of a
- 7:43Speaker 4: problem day in and day out of every series, every
- 7:46Speaker 4: game of every series, And I just think there's a
- 7:49Speaker 4: I think there's a there's a very very stark difference
- 7:52Speaker 4: in those two teams.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I would agree, and I think there's something to.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Like what this season individually can behold later for those
- 8:02Speaker 3: two teams.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 8:03Speaker 3: If Miami makes the playoffs as the third wild card,
- 8:06Speaker 3: that is an unbelievably successful season. You know, new manager
- 8:09Speaker 3: Clayton McCulla is like, flip that team around. We're in
- 8:12Speaker 3: a tough division where everyone talks Phillies and braves on
- 8:15Speaker 3: the upside and what's wrong with the Mets and all
- 8:17Speaker 3: the while we're just right here doing our thing. We're
- 8:18Speaker 3: gonna get in the playoffs. That is an unbelievably successful
- 8:21Speaker 3: season for them. Versus if the Cardinals get in as
- 8:24Speaker 3: the third wild card. I know, not a lot of
- 8:26Speaker 3: expectations this season, but they're still the Saint Louis Cardinals.
- 8:28Speaker 2: You know, they got multiple World Series in our lifetime.
- 8:32Speaker 3: You know, they're very much on the radar of being
- 8:33Speaker 3: like one of the blue chip teams of MLB and
- 8:36Speaker 3: they do things the right way, and you know, all
- 8:38Speaker 3: that and making the third wild card and kind of
- 8:40Speaker 3: sputtering out is not a successful season for the Saint
- 8:43Speaker 3: Louis Cardinals. In my eyes, So I think you have
- 8:46Speaker 3: to kind of weigh those differences from the front office,
- 8:48Speaker 3: where if the Cardinals are like we would probably actually
- 8:51Speaker 3: rather kind of sell here, maybe miss the playoffs or
- 8:54Speaker 3: slightly make the playoffs, whatever, but like rebuild moving forward,
- 8:57Speaker 3: knowing we have to be better than the third wildcard team,
- 8:59Speaker 3: and my Iami kind of being like, no, this is great,
- 9:01Speaker 3: this is a step in the right direction.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Next year we're competing.
- 9:03Speaker 3: For the division and we're all the while, you know,
- 9:06Speaker 3: taking a run at Milwaukee and the Dodgers kind of thing.
- 9:08Speaker 3: So I think it just it's going to be made,
- 9:10Speaker 3: you know, by people above our heads, obviously, as it
- 9:12Speaker 3: always is.
- 9:15Speaker 1: My last point here is when Kratz is I think
- 9:17Speaker 1: doing a nice job comparing a team like the White
- 9:19Speaker 1: Sox to the Cardinals to the Marlins, right where you
- 9:21Speaker 1: don't think they have everything intact to go the distance
- 9:24Speaker 1: if they make the playoffs. But the White Sox approach,
- 9:27Speaker 1: at least publicly, appears to be that they're not going
- 9:30Speaker 1: to sell at all. They're going to lightly buy. I
- 9:32Speaker 1: think lightly buying and giving up like low end prospects
- 9:35Speaker 1: is okay, right, lower rated prospects to show your fan base,
- 9:38Speaker 1: like you're in this thing. So even for the Cardinals
- 9:41Speaker 1: and for the Marlins, like let's go to Saint Louis.
- 9:45Speaker 1: How much are you getting for Dustin May at the
- 9:46Speaker 1: trade deadline? That's my thing is sometimes I just think
- 9:49Speaker 1: holding and then maybe just adding a small piece, like
- 9:52Speaker 1: a position player if you're the Marlins, maybe a bullpen
- 9:55Speaker 1: guy if you're the Cardinals, just so you stay in
- 9:57Speaker 1: it and give your team a run and maybe you
- 9:59Speaker 1: upset the Phillies or the Cubs or somebody in the
- 10:02Speaker 1: first round and things get wild and you create a
- 10:05Speaker 1: lifelong memory and you're like, Okay, I gave up an
- 10:07Speaker 1: a ball guy that didn't end up working out, Like
- 10:08Speaker 1: these aren't the the big money Trek Schoogle trade. So
- 10:12Speaker 1: that's the fan in me, just throwing that out there.
- 10:14Speaker 1: But we'll see what actually transpires here over the next month.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Just something to think about. If the White Sox are
- 10:18Speaker 1: doing it, I'm like, why can't the Cardinals do it
- 10:20Speaker 1: and the Marlins do it? All right, let's take a
- 10:22Speaker 1: quick break. What why are you shaking your head?
- 10:25Speaker 4: I don't think the White Sox are going to do
- 10:26Speaker 4: that much, but.
- 10:28Speaker 1: But they're gonna lightly buy they're going to acquire something.
- 10:31Speaker 4: I think the Marlins. I think the Marlins will too.
- 10:34Speaker 4: I think they will, but.
- 10:35Speaker 1: The Cold too. Then they're in the same spot. The
- 10:37Speaker 1: Cardinals have a better offense by far than the Marlins.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Yeah, but they're pitching, is they're starting pitching isn't going
- 10:43Speaker 4: to carry them. Sorry, it just can't. It doesn't have
- 10:45Speaker 4: what the Marlins have.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Okay. A c Geek is MLB's official ticket marketplace, and
- 10:54Speaker 1: in addition to finding every single game on the MLB calendar,
- 10:58Speaker 1: there are big events coming up soon.
- 11:01Speaker 6: There's an All Star game. There's a home run derby.
- 11:03Speaker 6: And if you think you're perfect and you can pick
- 11:05Speaker 6: the right seat at the home run derby to get
- 11:06Speaker 6: the most home run balls, you can get the little
- 11:09Speaker 6: green dot and that might be your lucky seat. Don't
- 11:11Speaker 6: go red dot, though, because you might not get any balls.
- 11:13Speaker 6: But go redgreen dot and get as many home run
- 11:17Speaker 6: balls as you think you can catch.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Yep, you click the seat, you check out what your
- 11:20Speaker 2: view is.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Each ticket's rated on a scale of one to ten,
- 11:22Speaker 1: so you know you're getting a good deal. And that's
- 11:24Speaker 1: what AJ's talking about. Green good, red bad. With those
- 11:28Speaker 1: dots and the code for you Territory one zero for

- 11:48Speaker 2: Thank you to see.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Geek Hey trade predictions with all of our hosts for
- 11:53Speaker 1: the week. Ross Stripling did a really thorough job here,
- 11:56Speaker 1: so we're going to get right to it so you
- 11:57Speaker 1: can really explain this. This is great, dude. So let's
- 12:00Speaker 1: show the board so that you can run through some
- 12:03Speaker 1: of your thinking here in terms of finding some fits
- 12:06Speaker 1: for players in respective organizations. And we'll start actually with
- 12:09Speaker 1: Luis Arise. You have going to the Tampa Bay Rays,
- 12:12Speaker 1: which love that kind of player lately.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you should see my notes. They're comical, you know.
- 12:19Speaker 3: He said send over y'all ask for like five to ten,
- 12:21Speaker 3: and at one point I was about to send like
- 12:22Speaker 3: thirty seven, you know. So yeah, Luis Arise is just
- 12:26Speaker 3: a perfect fit to the Rays. He's a good fit
- 12:28Speaker 3: for a lot of teams. But if you're talking about
- 12:29Speaker 3: just like you know, funky stadium, funky lineup. Not a
- 12:33Speaker 3: lot of guys that thump in that lineup. I think
- 12:35Speaker 3: only two with double digit home runs, you know. But
- 12:39Speaker 3: he's just so annoying to pitch too, and you throw
- 12:41Speaker 3: them in an annoying place, in an annoying lineup.
- 12:44Speaker 2: He just fits there perfect.
- 12:46Speaker 3: He is a nightmare for someone like me that pitches
- 12:48Speaker 3: to contact and he is just gonna basically take his
- 12:51Speaker 3: singler double and go. And I'm just like, all right,
- 12:53Speaker 3: there's nothing else that could have done there. So he
- 12:55Speaker 3: just seems like a perfect fit for the Rays.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I like it, right, Let's keep running down the line.
- 13:01Speaker 1: So next up Taylor Ward. His naghbors come up a
- 13:04Speaker 1: couple times lately with some of our hosts throwing his
- 13:07Speaker 1: name out there. Despite the Orioles saying that they're buying,
- 13:11Speaker 1: eventually they keep losing, they're not going to be buying,
- 13:13Speaker 1: so you have going to the Guardians.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Yeah, same kind of thing there, you know, just kind
- 13:18Speaker 2: of fits the team. You know.
- 13:20Speaker 3: He gets on base, like you look right there, like
- 13:22Speaker 3: two fifty with five home runs. That's nothing crazy, you know,
- 13:25Speaker 3: but right there, three seventy eight on base percentage when
- 13:28Speaker 3: hitting two fifty and then just a guy you can
- 13:30Speaker 3: plug in and you know what you're going to get.
- 13:32Speaker 3: I think there's more slug in there that he's shown
- 13:34Speaker 3: this year and he's not going to, you know, win
- 13:36Speaker 3: you a Gold Glove, but he's going to do just
- 13:38Speaker 3: fine out there in the outfield. And I just I
- 13:41Speaker 3: felt like Cleveland was a fit there. This is hard
- 13:43Speaker 3: to do, man. You guys threw this on me, and
- 13:45Speaker 3: it's like, you know, once again, I felt like there's
- 13:47Speaker 3: like seven eight teams, but I went Taylor Ward to
- 13:49Speaker 3: the Guardians. I think a team that's not going to
- 13:51Speaker 3: make a huge splash, but a team that's going to
- 13:53Speaker 3: look to add and a Taylor Ward just kind of
- 13:55Speaker 3: fits right in that mold.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Nice. What about glabor tours to the Blue Jays. My
- 14:00Speaker 1: biggest question here would be how you construct their infield
- 14:02Speaker 1: If you do this and Glaber of course this assuming
- 14:05Speaker 1: he kind of feels good from the oblique that's been
- 14:07Speaker 1: bothering him, no doubt he can make an impact.
- 14:09Speaker 2: But got Ernie.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Clement, You've got Andre Semenez, You've got Okamoto, you've got Laddie.
- 14:14Speaker 1: At first, how do you configure this?
- 14:16Speaker 2: I don't know once again.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I don't know, you know, I'm just trying to put
- 14:20Speaker 3: good players on good teams here. I think it's just,
- 14:24Speaker 3: you know, they're familiar with him with his time with
- 14:25Speaker 3: the Yankees. I know that we really when I was
- 14:28Speaker 3: with Toronto, we thought hard about how to pitch to Glaber,
- 14:31Speaker 3: even in a lineup that had Judge and Stanton. You know,
- 14:34Speaker 3: Glaber always seemed to do well when he came to Toronto,
- 14:37Speaker 3: and I just like what I've seen from him so
- 14:38Speaker 3: far this year. I don't feel like he's trying to slug. He's,
- 14:41Speaker 3: you know, kind of fitting more like a leadoff mold.
- 14:43Speaker 3: He's playing a really good second base. And I just
- 14:45Speaker 3: think when you're Toronto and you're kind of you know,
- 14:48Speaker 3: you're riding the high of last year, and you know,
- 14:50Speaker 3: if we just get hot at the right time, we
- 14:52Speaker 3: can make a run. At some point, Laddie's got to
- 14:54Speaker 3: turn into Vladdie again. You just think that he will.
- 14:56Speaker 3: You gotta assume that he will. So if we just
- 14:58Speaker 3: keep putting good players a around him, injuries happened, Weird
- 15:01Speaker 3: things happen if you add this guy to the roster
- 15:05Speaker 3: and a guy we're familiar with him, like the way
- 15:06Speaker 3: that he plays, you know, that's that's nothing but a
- 15:09Speaker 3: good problem to have. So that was kind of my
- 15:11Speaker 3: thought there.
- 15:12Speaker 1: This is an easy one. I see Raldus Chapman to
- 15:14Speaker 1: the Mariners, I mean he fits for any team that's contending,
- 15:18Speaker 1: and for Seattle, I mean, yeah, adding another bullpen piece
- 15:21Speaker 1: makes sense. Remember last year their manager didn't want to
- 15:25Speaker 1: use Andreis Munos and that kind of cost him a
- 15:28Speaker 1: lot there.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Yeah, Munjos kind of you know, we talked about it earlier,
- 15:32Speaker 3: like eighth inning.
- 15:33Speaker 2: For Chapman or would he be the closer? In Munos?
- 15:35Speaker 3: I think rocking in the area above four, which just
- 15:37Speaker 3: seems impossible any of the stuff that he has. But
- 15:40Speaker 3: maybe if you take a little bit of ninth inning
- 15:42Speaker 3: pressure off him and you move him to the eighth
- 15:43Speaker 3: and bring Eroaldus in to throw the ninth there, you know,
- 15:47Speaker 3: does that lead to something good? And part of my
- 15:49Speaker 3: thinking there was just like how many teams can Eraldus
- 15:51Speaker 3: play for? You know, can we get into can we
- 15:54Speaker 3: get to fifteen? We haven't seen him in a Mariner's
- 15:56Speaker 3: uniform yet. How funky would that be in teal where
- 15:59Speaker 3: his muscles are just popping through a teal painted on shirt,
- 16:03Speaker 3: you know, and we've yet to see you Waldus in
- 16:04Speaker 3: that situation. So let's let's send the Seattle a little
- 16:07Speaker 3: West coast action and see what it looks like.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Okay, this one makes me excited.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Kratz.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I see Seth Lugo to the Cardinals, so he has
- 16:15Speaker 1: them buying another arm. This is playing to what you're
- 16:18Speaker 1: going against them on, is that they don't have enough
- 16:20Speaker 1: pitching to get through, of course the postseason, but even
- 16:23Speaker 1: just to get to the postseason. This would help. No, Kratz,
- 16:25Speaker 1: do you like this one?
- 16:27Speaker 2: It helps for sure?
- 16:28Speaker 3: Okay, strip process Zach Wheeler answer, Zach Wheeler, Yeah, yeah.
- 16:36Speaker 3: You know what my thought here was, I wanted to
- 16:38Speaker 3: put Waka back to Saint Louis, and then I didn't
- 16:40Speaker 3: want to put that on Waka. You know, he's got
- 16:42Speaker 3: like an eight month old son. I feel like, let's
- 16:44Speaker 3: let's leave them in Kansas City. I'll send Seth Lugo, uh,
- 16:48Speaker 3: you know, a few miles up to Saint Louis. And
- 16:52Speaker 3: you know, thought there is that they probably move on
- 16:54Speaker 3: from Dustin May as they've kind of put in the media,
- 16:57Speaker 3: but they need to replace him and not totally pun
- 16:59Speaker 3: on the season. So some like Seth Lugo, who maybe
- 17:02Speaker 3: isn't having the year that we've come used to from him,
- 17:04Speaker 3: but obviously still like a he's got like a twelve
- 17:06Speaker 3: pitch mix and I think he is an easy guy
- 17:09Speaker 3: to believe that will figure it out. So get him
- 17:11Speaker 3: maybe in some new threads and finished the year strong
- 17:14Speaker 3: for Saint Louis and see what he can do for them.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Casey Mys is an interesting name. Instead of going Schooble,
- 17:20Speaker 1: you go Mys on your list, and you have him
- 17:24Speaker 1: going to Atlanta. I mean mis has been sneaky good
- 17:26Speaker 1: when he's been on the mound this year.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he has been good.
- 17:30Speaker 3: And that uh had him kind of between Philly and
- 17:34Speaker 3: Atlanta and ended up choosing Atlanta. And you can see,
- 17:38Speaker 3: you know, I have no Sandy on this list. I
- 17:39Speaker 3: have no Scoo Ball on this list. I kind of
- 17:42Speaker 3: went not necessarily under the radar names, but not the big,
- 17:46Speaker 3: heavy hitting names. And you know, yeah, really spot on there, Scott,
- 17:50Speaker 3: like he's he's been great when he's towed the rubber
- 17:53Speaker 3: and the Braves can always use more pitching. Who knows
- 17:55Speaker 3: when Strider's coming back and what he looks like. They
- 17:57Speaker 3: got Lopez back he looked okay, But I don't know
- 18:00Speaker 3: how much you can rely on that just yet. You know,
- 18:03Speaker 3: he hasn't necessarily been able to stay super healthy in
- 18:06Speaker 3: this new starting role of the last couple of years.
- 18:08Speaker 3: So why not add a first overall pick to the
- 18:10Speaker 3: mix and see what he can do.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll see if we can get Krafts comment on
- 18:14Speaker 1: the back end of this, So a few more to go.
- 18:16Speaker 1: He does this to me all the time, which I
- 18:18Speaker 1: like because then it means I need to go to
- 18:19Speaker 1: him and see what's wrong. Clay Holmes to the Phillies, Yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 1: I see Clay Holmes to the Phillies, brook Brooks Raley
- 18:25Speaker 1: and aj Mintor to the Dodgers. So that's part of
- 18:28Speaker 1: our Mets sale here.
- 18:29Speaker 2: That's a one or the other.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I think they're getting getting one of the Dodgers,
- 18:33Speaker 3: are getting one of those lefties. Yeah, just whichever one
- 18:36Speaker 3: you know they can pull off and or Yeah, that's
- 18:40Speaker 3: two fighters. Zaggi's right there next to each other too,
- 18:43Speaker 3: Brooks Raley. I played with at A and m Aj
- 18:45Speaker 3: Mentor right after me at Texas A and m. Maybe
- 18:48Speaker 3: you could get him in a group Texas, A and
- 18:50Speaker 3: m deal. They'd be an asset to any bullpen. But
- 18:52Speaker 3: I'm imagine one of those guys is going west Homer.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and hey, Clay Holmes was really good before he
- 18:59Speaker 1: went down, and he should be back at some point,
- 19:01Speaker 1: maybe in August, and even if he needs to get
- 19:03Speaker 1: traded before that. Of course, teams have done that in
- 19:06Speaker 1: the past, where you take the risk, you look at
- 19:08Speaker 1: the medicals and then you have Sonny grade of the
- 19:09Speaker 1: Padres as the last one, which I love. I think
- 19:11Speaker 1: that's a great spot for him.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that one actually got me the most fired up.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I thought about putting that one in front of the list.
- 19:18Speaker 3: You know, I just think Sonny is so fun to
- 19:20Speaker 3: watch man. I love watching him pitch. I love what
- 19:23Speaker 3: he does. The Padres are also kind of in that,
- 19:27Speaker 3: you know, do we do, we sell?
- 19:28Speaker 2: Do we buy? And we're gonna do something big and
- 19:31Speaker 2: he's you.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Know, Sonny's a pretty big splash man. I mean, look
- 19:33Speaker 3: at that nine and one with the two six e R.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Anybody can use that. So you know, that's that's a
- 19:38Speaker 3: team trying to compete with the Dodgers year in and
- 19:41Speaker 3: year out.
- 19:42Speaker 2: They know they need some pitching.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Sonny Gray is not scared of any situation, and yeah, man,
- 19:48Speaker 3: that's I chose him to go to the Padres.
- 19:51Speaker 4: I also love your Sonny Gray. That's my That was
- 19:53Speaker 4: gonna be my one comment normally when anybody trades somebody
- 19:56Speaker 4: to the Padres, the Tigers, trying to think of another
- 20:00Speaker 4: team that can't hit normally, I say, yeah, but he
- 20:05Speaker 4: can't hit. If you know Sonny at all, he is
- 20:08Speaker 4: a freak athlete, and he would say, hey, the National
- 20:12Speaker 4: League still got the DH because I don't mind hitting
- 20:15Speaker 4: if you need me to hit. So I love that.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I love that Sonny Gray's competitiveness would go into that
- 20:20Speaker 4: clubhouse and it won't help their offense, but Sonny would
- 20:24Speaker 4: love it if he could do that for them.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Your Sonny Gray is better than your Donald Trump. I'll
- 20:29Speaker 2: give you that. It wasn't supposed to be Donald Trump.
- 20:31Speaker 4: It was supposed to be it was supposed to be
- 20:33Speaker 4: my ar MLBP like pr, Hey, you know what I'm
- 20:39Speaker 4: gonna do.
- 20:40Speaker 7: I'm gonna make sure you guys just have this new baseball.
- 20:43Speaker 7: It's gonna have a little bit of splotches on it,
- 20:46Speaker 7: but don't worry about it. We're not manipulating anything. We're
- 20:50Speaker 7: not manipulating any stats of any kind.
- 20:53Speaker 2: We're not mobile Alabama.
- 21:00Speaker 4: The MLB owner is fifty five years old and white.
