• 14:32
Speaker 1: Thursday I'm gonna run our Ironfish podcast, uh, and I'm gonna be packing.
• 14:37
Speaker 1: So, um, this is the last podcast of season six.
• 14:41
Speaker 1: I believe this is podcast.
• 14:43
  Speaker 1: I want to say 108.
• 14:44
Speaker 1: So uh, gonna gonna.
• 14:48
Speaker 1: This should be a really, really, um, this was a great season.
• 14:52
Speaker 1: Never have we gone over 100, and we almost went 10 over 100.
• 14:57
Speaker 1: I want to thank all the followers and everybody.

• 15:42
Speaker 1: So that's what you know we can do and I'm looking forward to it extensively, looking forward to this time.
• 15:51
Speaker 1: So that brings us to my favorite segment.
• 15:57
Speaker 1: It's the Old Louisville Whiskey Company.
• 16:00
Speaker 1: You got to check out Amin's place there in Louisville, kentucky, the Old Louisville Whiskey Company.
• 16:06
Speaker 1: You can get a hold of him, call, make an appointment.
• 16:10
Speaker 1: What you're talking about, what Amin's experience?
• 16:13
  Speaker 1: He's got a nice.
• 16:14
Speaker 1: He's got a nice gift shop available bottles, but what his real?
• 16:19
Speaker 1: He doesn't sell anything under seven years old and he has a barrel collection from everywhere in his warehouse and what he releases?
• 16:29
Speaker 1: He releases some fantastic what he he gets whiskey from, purchases it from different places.
• 16:35
Speaker 1: Then he puts it in other barrels, so then sometimes it's like a French oak barrel or whatnot.
• 16:40
Speaker 1: Sometimes he leaves it in the barrel for, let's say, he buys a eight year something or another and he lets it go.
• 16:47
Speaker 1: So he's released 16 and 17 year old barrel strength whiskey that he's aging in his warehouse right there at his place in uh old louisville whiskey company and he takes you around and you could sample some of those bottles.
• 17:02
Speaker 1: That's what's going to happen on this trip.
• 17:04
Speaker 1: Uh, call to make a reservation, come in groups.
• 17:08
Speaker 1: Uh, he loves, he does a great job and uh, we can't wait to see him because he's going to be part of our bus tour this year and, with Whiskey Thief and Old Louisville being our sponsors, I can't wait.
• 17:26
Speaker 1: This is just going to be a fantastic bus tour, so can't wait to see you, amin.
• 17:33
Speaker 1: So the way the Old Louisville Whiskey Company barrel bottle breakdown works is the rating scale goes of four categories Nose, taste, body, finish.
• 17:47
Speaker 1: Now on the categories, you can get up to four barrel knocks on the barrel for the nose and the body and up to five barrel knocks on the taste and the finish.
• 18:03
Speaker 1: So let's open this baby and see what happens.
• 18:09
Speaker 1: Now, a lot of times with wheat whiskeys as Ed Bly has said many times from Rising Tide Spirits is that a wheat whiskey is more delicate.
• 18:23
Speaker 1: So sometimes when you open it up it basically has been put in the bottle and it takes a while for it to get better.
• 18:32
Speaker 1: Wow, here we go.
• 18:36
Speaker 1: This is going to be a new crack.
• 18:39
  Speaker 1: Here it comes.
• 18:40
Speaker 1: It wasn't very loud so, excuse me, the protein shake that I had today didn't go down real well, I don't know why.
• 19:00
Speaker 1: I think I had had too many not eating enough getting ready for this awesome tour.
• 19:05
Speaker 1: And you know thing, I've been pushing the exercise, eating healthy, extra vitamin C.
• 19:13
Speaker 1: So here we go in my glass.
• 19:17
  Speaker 1: All right.
• 19:20
Speaker 1: I mean, this is like a new thing for the bottled in bond seven year.
• 19:27
Speaker 1: It's got a nice it's not the full decanter bottle.
• 19:29
Speaker 1: The top is a decanter with a nice wood top.
• 19:33
Speaker 1: This bottle, uh, I believe john said um, if I'm not great.
• 19:39
Speaker 1: I believe john said that, the price, what was it?
• 19:46
Speaker 1: 118 somewhere around there.
• 19:49
Speaker 1: I'm not exactly sure he might be able to chime in and let me know Fantastic nose, just caramel.
• 20:50
Speaker 1: There is a lot of caramel on there, it's a hundred proof.
• 20:55
Speaker 1: There's a little bit of ethanol.
• 21:03
Speaker 1: Okay, he said it was 60, so that's decent.
• 21:14
  Speaker 1: I think I forget which one 50, he said59.99.
• 21:17
Speaker 1: So which is a really good price.
• 21:25
Speaker 1: What was the bottle then that we got?
• 21:27
Speaker 1: That was one something.
• 21:29
Speaker 1: I forget what it was.
• 21:33
Speaker 1: You picked up for me.
• 21:34
Speaker 1: All right, nice, I like the nose.
• 21:50
Speaker 1: I know as we go this'll nose, the ethanol, that, but it's 100 proof.
• 21:55
  Speaker 1: So it's there.
• 21:56
Speaker 1: Let's see what it does.
• 21:57
Speaker 1: As far as body in this glen, I love to roll, roll the glens.
• 22:01
Speaker 1: I poured the right amount to be able to do this.
• 22:03
Speaker 1: All right, come on, baby.
• 22:06
Speaker 1: So the great thing about this tasting glass is you can do this and this is called coating the sidewalls.
• 22:18
Speaker 1: And then, as you pick it up, you look at what happens in the glass.
• 22:23
Speaker 1: Now it's a hundred proof weeded.
• 22:24
Speaker 1: So a lot of times there's a little thin, but those legs are starting, they come, they're coming down and they're pretty thick.
• 22:31
Speaker 1: It's not thin and it sticks to the walls for a nice clear coat.
• 22:36
Speaker 1: And then, as it starts to go, yeah, yeah, there, they are over here, nice, so the body should be decent.
• 22:52
Speaker 1: The Star Hill Farms, thank you, was the 118.
• 22:53
Speaker 1: Mmm, wow, wow, ooh, oh, thank you.
• 23:30
Speaker 1: The reaper cheers, thank you.
• 23:32
Speaker 1: Um, what, what you drinking on man tonight?
• 23:34
Speaker 1: Good to see you.
• 23:35
Speaker 1: I think I put this one back together a little bit better, but we're not going to have any music at the end either, unless I can figure something else there, because I don't have my sound working, which upsets me for the last one.
• 23:48
  Speaker 1: But all right.
• 23:49
Speaker 1: So the old willowville whiskey, a seven-year weeding?
• 24:01
Speaker 1: Well, it can't be.
• 24:02
Speaker 1: It can be, but it can't be 120, because this is the bottled in bond tracy.
• 24:11
Speaker 1: But thank you for acknowledging that you have a seven-year weeded mash bill at 120.
• 24:16
Speaker 1: That is very good.
• 24:17
Speaker 1: Um, wow, what was that?
• 24:25
Speaker 1: There was a flavor on the tons.
• 24:38
Speaker 1: That's butterscotch, like a toasted, almost like a toasted coconut butterscotch.
• 24:49
Speaker 1: Wow, on the finish.
• 24:51
Speaker 1: The finish is light, light.
• 25:07
Speaker 1: Oh, she's talking about the old louisville.
• 25:08
Speaker 1: Okay, there you go.
• 25:08
Speaker 1: Let's see what mine is, this old louisville.
