- joe: What's going on everybody? Welcome back to another episode of Hold Your Ground the Podcast, where you get working class culture without all the bigoted bullshit. Today is a fucking day as we record this. It is Tuesday, August 11th, which is the ninth anniversary of Charlottesville. For those of you who don't remember Charlottesville, it's when the Boogaloo boys had their little tiki torch march and marched on Charlottesville with all their white nationalist bullshit. We will be talking about that today. Our guest today, we have the fucking infamous Daryl Lamont-Jenkin, that Luis: Woo! joe: we will be talking to. And we also Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah. joe: have Fuck the world with copy back this week. So that being said, fuck the world, copy. What do you gotta say? Copy: All right. welcome back to Fuck the World. I'm copying today. I'm Beyond Livid. Another surprise, right? Look what's happening out there. We're facing down a bloodthirsty, lazy militarized state apparatus that wants us crushed, obedient, and silent. What are the people on our own side spending their energy on? Staring at each other, micromanaging each other, screaming at people on their own side for being too aggressive. I dealt with this exact bullshit just recently here in my town, Lincoln City. We're out protesting against animal abuse that the local police just didn't do fucking anything about. And I got a little aggressive with calling the cops out to their faces with the laws that they need to be enforcing, because they literally let it go for over a year. It's a little fucking ridiculous. But then, you know, I helped organize a protest, and with some of the people that were on that protest side. They really started fucking coming at me for being too aggressive. And I got one thing to say to those kind of people. Are you out of your fucking mind? You're more concerned with protecting the feelings of lazy cops who enable animal abuse than actually holding them accountable. Who the fuck gave you the right to rewrite the narrative? Let me make one thing perfectly loud and crystal fucking clear to every soft ass self-appointed marshal of peace out there. The message is what matters. The needs of the community are what fucking matter. We are out on those streets for real victims, real issues and real systemic failures. We are not out there to put on a sanitized, polite little theater show so some performative coward can go feel good about their optics on social media. If someone steps to your face dict Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah. Copy: to dictate your tone, tell them to fuck right off. Stop bowing your head. Stop apologizing for her fury. If you can't even stand up to a tone policing liberal on your own block, how the fuck do you expect to stand up to the state? Unless someone is actively putting your life in direct immediate danger, shut the fuck up and mind your own business. Let me repeat the boundary so nobody gets it twisted. Is somebody bringing a weapon into the crowd? Is somebody pulling out a gun and trying to start a literal firefight with a battalion of riot cops that's gonna get everybody else mowed down in the crowd in the crossfire? That is when you step in. That is when you step up and check the home. That's actual survival. And that's looking out for the crew so nobody gets slaughtered over something stupid. Otherwise, if there's no firefight, nobody's pulling a weapon, shut the fuck up. If somebody is shouting in a lazy cop's face, if somebody is calling out systemic corruption, if somebody is standing toe to toe with a line of armed thugs and demanding justice for their community, Hold your ground, mind your own hands, and shut your mouth. Utone policing cowards are letting your own anxiety turn you into an unpaid deputy for the police. You're so fixated on controlling how other people express their anger that you've completely forgotten while we're out there in the first place. The cops aren't policing us half as hard as you're policing us, and that's fucking pathetic. To everyone listening right now who has ever stood out there. On the pavement, getting screamed at by some spineless peace marshal, and you just shrink back, wake the fuck up. Why are you letting anybody put a leash on you? Why are you letting some random coward dictate how much rage you're allowed to feel against a system that treats our communities like trash? You came out to fight for what's right. And the second that a fake revolutionary tells you to calm down, you surrender, fuck that. And stand the fuck up for yourself. Check your homies if they're about to get everyone shot in a firefight. Absolutely. That's a no-brainer, right? But outside of that, do not let anyone hijack the message. Do not let anyone replace community needs with respectability politics. If these hypocrites want to play peacekeeper for the state, let them go join the fucking force. But if you're out there for real, start acting like it. Defend your rage. Tell the tome police to s fuck off. Stand your ground against anyone trying to hold you down. And keep your sights on the actual enemy. I'm copying this is fucked the world. Take the leash off. Stand up for yourself and stop letting cowards run the fucking movement. Luis: Word. Fuck fucking the joe: Fucking word. Luis: fuck the protest police, dude. They've been around forever and they are one of the biggest banes in my opinion on the left. They can go fuck themselves. That is one of the greatest things I've ever heard come out of your beautiful face. Copy: I appreciate that. I'm actually trying, you know, to not be so wild when I get out there and speak about shit, but you know, takes time. Luis: Well, I mean I've we've been told by management in fact I believe that we had to quote unquote tone it down, guys, you know? And so we're doing that. We're we're doing our jobs, but that was beautiful. God, I can just I I I feel the looks, Copy: No, I I c I don't care. Luis: bro. I feel the look coming through the fucking field. I dude, I fucking it's like boring right into my soul. Can we stop that please? Like for Copy: Yeah, I it it's it's one of those things that like I really I back when I lived in Portland and was doing protest stuff and acting as a street medic during the Floyd protest, it was the same kind of shit. I watched so many fucking people just try to police everybody. And you know, at that at that kind of protest for me, it was I'm gonna take my lead from the community that's being oppressed right now. And right now at that point in time it was the black community that w the attention was needed to be on. And I just Luis: Copy. Copy: I don't yo. Luis: I didn't mean to cut you off, but so go ahead finish. But I was just gonna ask you, do you remember when everybody took a knee with the cops? Do you remember when they shook hands with the cops? That was such a that that was such Copy: Yeah. fucking pussy move. Luis: a beautiful moment. Daryl, do you remember that? We were like all hands across America with the cops. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah, I had my Pepto right at my hands at my ready when it was like, yo. you kinda like how how how would you say you you lost the plot if you do things like Copy: Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: that? Luis: Absolutely. So the only thing that I thought that was great that came out of that whole era was the Kyle Jenner commercial with the Pepsi can, okay? Because check it out, like a week after that there was a demonstration here in Portland, okay? And everybody had cases of Pepsi. And fucking Demi Cooper, the right wing journalist, got lit up with PepsiCans. And it was fuck it was May Day 2017. And we walked by the Scientology building and that place fucking got lit up with PepsiCans. Copy: Yeah. Luis: It was a good time. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah, how was that little sellout doing these days? Luis: Demi, he's he's back in Portland. he tried to make an appearance down at ICE. It was him who broke the news about the quote unquote Antifa fucking safe house that's just a bunch of dorks in an apartment over there that are trying to help, right? That was the last I heard of him. shit. I don't know if everybody here probably doesn't know 'cause none of us care. Guess who's got a new book out that's not named Luis Enrique Marquez? I had no idea. joe: That sounds like something that you'd be talking about, Andy No. I'm just guessing. I'm just fucking guessing. Luis: Ha fucking how did you guess, bro? He does. He's got a brand new book out, dude. It's fucking horrible. I'm not gonna say the name of it, but that was yeah, dude, fucking head on the nail, dude. Like, Copy: I got a question real quick. Luis: yeah. Copy: How does that paper feel? Luis: What paper? Copy: The paper of the book. Luis: My paper? Copy: Y no, the paper of the book I Andy, no, you silly bastard. Luis: I don't know. I'm not g Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I mean, is it soft? Luis: I'm not gonna buy that shit. So like l Copy: No, I I thought you had it 'cause I was gonna say it ain't worth wiping my ass on then, but you know, fuck. We lost it there. Luis: No. So here's the thing, Andy No, 'cause I know you're listening. I bought your last book, Dickhead, 'cause I wanted to see that you really talked about me. Did you buy my last book? 'Cause I talked about you. Anyway, you dick. But yeah, he's got a new book, Slated for his right wing fucking suck assism. I guess that he calls passes his journalism. you know, about the trans community. Don't go buy it. It's trash. I really don't want to promote it. what I will say is that Andy is such a great American patriot that he has to live in a different country. So fucking suck. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Allegedly. Luis: No, he does. I have his address. Copy: Largely. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Okay. I just just pass it off to me and I'll we'll dox Copy: Ha ha ha ha. Luis: Okay, it's one one one one shit stain way. Fucking Copy: Ha ha ha. Luis: England. Like that's it's not hard. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I wanted to say something before before we go on to all of my fun stuff. the whole thing about the police, I I it just reminded it made me remember a time back when the two th two seven, two four, R and C in New York, the the Rep Republican Convention back in two thousand four. We were marching in the streets we was we was basically running the place around there. And I guess Hil History St channel had a was h had a series about the World War. the war the war of tw eighteen twelve and it was promoting it and one of the ads that they had in the bulletin board just basically put like a headline like a fake headline up that said Washington burnt to the ground or something like that so we just basically started chanting repeat history repeat history repeat history Luis: Ha ha ha. Copy: Mm. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: and the pe the the protest police lost their minds Luis: Ha Copy: I fucking bet. I fucking bet. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Which drove me up the wall because I was one of the organizers of the of that particular conf conference protest. I was a part of all the organizing and that was just driving me a crazy when the parade so called parade marshals were trying to tell us, Stop, stop, don't say that. Say that's I'm like, What we're gonna just keep saying it until we go down the block, all right? And that's exactly what happened. Luis: Absolutely. Okay, so that's a great segue. ladies and gentlemen, wait, no, hold on. The the left will crucify me. Cousins, no, wait, the left will crucify me. people listening, I just wanted to take a quick moment to introduce the man, the myth, the legend himself, founders of one people and Idavox. Twenty going on 25 years now, okay? And remember Idavox 26. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Twenty six now. Luis: strives to bring into Copy: Okay. Luis: the light that which wants to hide in the dark. Right? They're looking to expose the right wing. you can see him in the movie S or that talks about him Skin. He also it was part of the Oscar winning team that wrote the short film Skin, which was amazing. And the movie Age of Rage, where he clowns on old Dick Spencer, give it up for the one, the only Daryl Lamont Jenkins. Copy: Since we don't have sound effects, fuck it. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: one of those around here somewhere. I c I I I I I'll I'll t Luis: We should w Copy: Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I'll take care of that in post. Luis: Again, dude, this dude is clamoring to be the editor. Look at all that. He's like, joe: Work. Luis: I got it in post, guys. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Hey. joe: So Daryl Copy: See you in two years. joe: so Daryl, you were talking earlier just a little bit ago about organizing that protest in Washington DC or being one of the organizers. I just wanna say for people who are listening who don't know your story, how did you get into anti fascist organizing? 'Cause everybody can be an anti fascist, right? But organizing is a that's a whole nother animal. Like how'd you get how'd you get started with that man? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Well, be honest with you, alone by myself, really. Because it was just I mean, I have told this story quite a few times, but I will tell you that it started when I was a kid. I mean, I I grew up with parents that were teachers and missionaries and counselors and in the case of my father, historian. So I would So I would read a lot of books. I will have like especially when it comes to black history. There's two subjects that my mu that my father loved. he loved black history. He wanted to make sure that we understood everything that went up went on in that in that v sphere. And World War Two. He was born in nineteen forty one. So he was really into what made up hist that history and everything. In fact, we would go and get regularly stories you know d videos of you know from the video from you know the video store and just watch World War Two movies or documentaries to be exact. I remember we was this this this was sick because one time we was we was looking for documentaries on World War II at the video store and I grabbed I grabbed one and I showed it to one and said what about this one? It says hell no what is the name of that? Tri Triumph of the Will. Luis: Ha ha. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I never heard of it. Dad did but I eventually Luis: Ha ha. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: learned But but Luis: You know, I would Daryle Lamont Jenkins: anyway but see, so basically my whole thing was I I grew up with it. I grew up with it and I was always curious when I was a kid about what happened when I to all the folks that we fought. 'Cause you know, now you're now you're growing up in the seventies and and you're seven and you don't see it as as primas prof prominent as you did maybe back in the day before I was born. Like Literally a couple of months after I was born. Remember John you had Martin Luther King died in eighteen was killed in in Copy: Okay. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: April fourth. I was born on July twenty second of nineteen sixty eight. Yes. Luis: So I don't mean to talk about myself or anything, but ta I I I I think this is a good answer to your question, Joe. As like I'm working on Daryl's biography with him, right? And I think that Darryl was born into militancy, right? Because there's a great story that Is in the book, and I'm gonna ask Daryl to tell it now about who his father was, and it was during the desegregation, the civil rights movement. his f let me let me kind of just like set the tone. His father's away at college at an HBSC or H S B C right? is wanting to continue. HBCU. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: H B C U. Luis: I'm really high today. There's so many people that are just gonna Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah. Luis: fucking blah! slam that part cool suck it anyway and Copy: Stoner. Luis: yeah and he and and he's at this protest that's been organized and they're taking over a lunch counter and they're all take it from there. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Okay, one thing you must is best to understand is that my father wasn't an activist. That wasn't his that wasn't his thing. but he did inv get involved whenever he you know when people asked him to from time to time. Especially in that era. You talk about nineteen sixty one when he was at Benedict College in South South South Carolina. Luis: Carolina. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I was getting ready to say Dakota. But But in tr so he said, look, you know, I'll I'll participate in the sit-ins there and all of that and he and he participated it in one. And I actually told this story in in Age of Rage, but I expanded when I was talking with Luis and so I'll do that here. basically it was him A couple of his friends, his f his friend Fred Fred Tucker from from Pennsylvania, from Philly. And my father was from Newark. So we're all talking about n northern dudes going down south and going to school and most importantly, participating in the you know, the protest at the time. Apparently Martin Luther King was there too. I don't know. I mean that's what he has said. and he told look, I'm I'm down with being nonviolent and all that. I mean I'm down with the calls and all of that. but if someone puts their hands on me I'm from Newark. My my friend Fred's from Philly and just left it at that. So, so you know They they was at the counter and you know, they were screaming and hollering at ev if every calling them names, you know, the rednecks at that time. they were screaming and hollering at get out of here and all of this nonsense. And then one of these knuckleheads figured he'll get himself some me some mustard and k ketchup containers and start, you know, squeezing it on everybody's heads. And my father looked to Fred to Fred and said, he better run out of mess before he gets to me. And he didn't. So the next thing you know, that redneck went through to through a plate glass window. Luis: Ha ha ha. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: And that was the end of the nonviolent part of. this of that Luis: Ha ha ha. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: and also it almost almost got him kicked out of school too because he we he kinda like broke the rules with that one but they didn't fire him rather they didn't expel him or anything. He went out back on the school. It might he might have getted into a little trouble. They screamed and holler at him later, but it warned you, I'm gonna I'm gonna I don't let people put their hands on me. That's just the real Luis: I mean New so so new so where your father grew up in Newark, that was pretty rough, right? didn't ch is isn't there a book written about your father's neighborhood? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah, there's a book called Howard Street. it's written by Nathan Luis: Howard Street, that's what it is. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Heard. and it'll give an idea, it's kinda like if it was it'll give you an idea of how nasty things were. I actually wrote it for I r actually wro wrote a book report on that book when I was in high school. but it's definitely not for kids. I mean this thing I mean d this I mean if you made a movie about it today, you definitely have to put all kinds of warnings on it and everything because it was i it it it was real. It was very real. But but it's it's a good i it's a good introduction introduction to what Nork was like back in the day. And and what he tried to clean up when he got older. all of my him and his three brothers were educators, all of And and and all they did was work to try to keep to to keep people off the streets, so to speak. You know. Luis: So so with that in your blood, like yeah, like back to what Joe asked, how with with with your back that being your background, how did you Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Well, like I was saying before, you know, I got I was interested in what where all the races were back in the day that we fought. Where were they now? And you know, I mean, then I started reading articles in my weekly reader about the clan and and who they were and all of that. And then I started seeing them on T V. I mean, you started seeing Bill Hil h Bill Wilkerson, that was a old old clean clan clan leader who eventually turned out to be a f Fed and he's running hotels in Belarus right now. so he's a millionaire. and then there's Dave Duke, we saw him all over the place and so so whenever I or Tom Metz Metzger, you saw started seeing him. 'Cause I I started hearing about him when he was still in the Klan. so I started seeing them on TV and then I started little T V shows about about the Klan and all of that or the ni or the Nazis or things like that. And it was just basically w when I start when I went into the air force, I that was around the time when I said, Okay, let me see what I can do because Oprah had skinheads on her show once. And bear in mind that this was on and when I watched this show, I was probably maybe six or seven months since I first heard of skinheads, you know. And This was the first time I actually saw them. Eighty seven. Luis: That was what? Eighty eight? Eighty seven? Eighty eight? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Eighty seven. Eighty seven. It would have been ironic if it was eighty eight. Luis: For those of you that don't know, that's a fuck Nazi joke. But anyway Copy: Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Actually actually what's funny, she had somebody on the show, this this dude who was writing about Nazis who had a book called Eighty Eight. And I didn't know what the heck that meant yet. And I d it took me a long time before I found out. but it was but so they so she had all these n all these Nazis on the show. She had Metzger on there. and a couple of people, Dan Mazella, and and a few others, like I said. But she but they were all supposed to be r repping skins and then she pointed to a group of skins that weren't racist and and some and one dude was black, Dwayne, his real name is he passed on recently. but so I said Okay. And by the way, this was the and that crew was the Chicago crew. You know, that was that was who was in the st so they started so I started looking at that and so okay, this is something I'm just gonna have to start documenting. Luis: Old boy Dwayne was wearing a black bomber with an American flag that day too. Like, I remember Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah. Luis: that. That that shit was f like 'cause over here, dude, it was just as fucking just as intense for me and hitting for me to watch that as it probably was for Daryl, right? And and to see old boy like that, dude. It was that was yeah. Anyway, go ahead. That's all I wanted to say. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Well, as time went along, of course, needless to say, a couple of months later you'll see y the Geraldo show happened and then I got out of I got kicked out of the air force, so I ended up going back home and I turned on a show called People People Are Talking or something like that. And they had the original Sc Scar Sharp. I mean, the the founders and everybody's p Marcus P Pachetto. Pacheco, who's a who's a really good T Tateau artist now. He's really he's really hardcore, he's out of California. But it was him he was on he was actually on the Geraldo show and then they broke down exactly what what kind of skins they were and what they were about and all of that and that and that and that basically just got me on the got me on the track and then from there on I just every time I turned around whenever there was something on TV about the about white supremacy or anything like that, I just used it basically just hit record on my on my what do they call that thing? V V C R and just save the tape and I still had them. And I still had them and I put some of them on U two, including that People Are Talking show. but that was the beginning of it. And after that And I started looking at the more mainstream stuff and realizing that they were talking just like some of the right wingers were talking just as bad as the as the n as the Nazis that I kept on seeing. So I started recording them too. I mean, it it it was really hardcore back in the day and and it turned out I was really other than the CP SPLC or somebody or s or the ADL that was documenting them or rather getting as much information that I could about That's really what put me in a good position to put start up One People's Project whenever Richard Barrack decided he was gonna come up here and have a rally. So and that's what started everything. Luis: Actually, yeah. joe: Word. So I got a question for you, Darrell. This is something that Luis and I talk about fairly often, especially in today's age of social media with TikTok and all the things. there seems to be a lot of people who platform fascism and Nazism, whether it's just to try to prove how it's wrong or fucked up. and you know it's been going on before social media, obviously, with the Oprah and Geraldo. What's what's your thoughts on that, right? So like it's it's something that it it educated you on you know, the history of Skinhead and on the start of Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice. that being said, how do you feel overall when people are platforming these Nazis and these fascists? What what's your thought? Luis: It' wait, wait, wait, really fast before before Daryl jumps in. I just wanna say we talk about it, but we both agree. I just wanna let people out there we're not debating whether fucking we wanna platform these fuckwads or not. That's all I wanna say. It's like it's not a debate. Darryl, go ahead. joe: Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah, I'm not really a big fan of that. I'm really not because I saw what they did in the nineties when they got all that platforming and what they built with it. because what will happen and for all the record, Oprah after that show after that show that she ha that I saw, she never had any Nazis on her show again. And she had bef on the show before. And after that she was just like, you know what? No, no. That doesn't make any sense. even Montel, when he had when he had me on his show, he had Robert Rensl R Rensel, Rensel, I can't Rensdale or something he was National Alliance. got kick got taken out a couple of years ago by drunk driver. So, but sh he was supposed to be on the show. He was in the green room. He was in one green room, I was in the other green room. But Mm Melte Mantel figured, you know what? Nah, that doesn't make any sense to have him on the show. So he had me on the show and had one other dude on the show who was getting who had gotten out of the white power scene. So and and I think and it was a good call. And it was a real good call because I think one of the problems that I had in that era was the fact that they wasn't whenever it was getting to the point where they it was only them coming on TV without any out counter. With any counter at all. I mean when y especially when it comes to Helaldo. And and it was and it was at the point where, okay, now you guys are promoting them. And you don't and whenever they did documentaries about about white supremacists, they would not we would just basically be the B roll saying that yeah they suck. yeah they yeah they're kicking all kinds of ass. Uh-huh, yeah. That that basically the gist of w our involvement. I mean, it it was at the point where it says, Okay, that's a problem. And what made it even worse I started getting involved with people who were going against them and I mean and whenever we would try to confront them, whenever we would start calling them out, somebody would tell us that we are violating their freedom of speech. And that is when I started realizing, okay, now I have to wonder about you and what is it that you are trying to protect whenever you have them on your show without any coun without any counter and you get mad whenever we just show up and counter counter them. That's a problem. That's a huge problem. And you might be That problem. so when the internet came rolling around and we put up the opposition to the rally that Richard Barrett put together, we created a website and they basically told everybody in our language without anybody getting in our way, about who was who we expected there, after the event, who showed up and what other Nazis you can go after while we're at it. And it was a t it it was a case of on one hand people loved what we did and d and were doing and others will say, you know, you're violating their freedom of speech by telling people who they are. What? Luis: A quick question. I was just thinking about so you go all the way back to the late eighties, right? involved in punk music and alternative politics. Did you know about the ARA or were you cause you're developing right around the same time, around the same timeline, right? Like the late eighties as the ARA is. Like, are you aware of them or are you developing independently in New Jersey? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: independent of them b because we really h here's the thing. We didn't have a lot of Nazis and we still back in those days, we didn't have a lot of Nazis to deal to deal with in Jersey. We ha of course we had we ha we had the folks in Atlanta City, but that's two hours away from me. we and of course we also know the other story about me and the crew chasing some Nazis out of town, where I stole one of their jackets. and Philly was insane. They w they was off the chain and I mean they they had they actually had hammer skins back then. but we really in my area when you start talking about from like central surety jer central Jersey to North Jersey, you really didn't see a lot of Nazis, so it was kinda like we've just basically fought police brutality and and and that was our thing. Now when I I first heard of ARA when I moved to Cleveland. That's when I first heard of and I went to the and I I went to the conference that put together the network in ninety five. The MathFit. Luis: Did did you feel like a sense of community when you first heard of the ARA? Like that you weren't so alone that like this is fucking awesome? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Absolutely. Absolutely. You wanna know how deep it was? I went there instead of the Million Man March. I went there for that was the only I I had money for one or the other. And I didn't and I wasn't really and and I I mean I would I would have wanted to go to the Million Man March, but I didn't think I was gonna be fa effection effective. I needed to do more I it's always been with me more than just standing and and making a statement. It's always been more more than just that. It's always been a case of what are we going to do about it? And yes, it was a possibil it's a good it was good to for brothers and brothers coming out in D C to basically talk about that amongst themselves a and it was all well and good. We wa me and my nep me and my uncle, E Rel had watched it on T V. We took a day off of work and we just watched it because we we th realized maybe we want maybe we should have gone down, but but we didn't so we just sat and watched it on T V. But but it was important for me to be at that at that at that ARA meeting in Columbus, Ohio. And it was, man. You wanna talk about community? man. We had the conference at a school. They the the local one of the local schools allowed us to hold a conference in it in several Luis: Can you imagine anti fascists in two thousand and twenty six having a a community meeting at a school? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: This was more than just a co conference. This I mean meeting, this was the conference. I mean I mean, whether an aud using the auditorium, using the classrooms. Copy: Yeah, I can't imagine them let letting them anywhere letting me anywhere near a school I would traumatize fucking children with my language. It's I I can't imagine. least. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: this wasn't a weekend. This was a weekend. This was a weekend. So it was all good. But but it was like man, but it was i I mean, I met some of the guys from from Kent Kent you know, from Kent State who who have been involved w who be involved that tragedy. Sparts, the Sparts, the Barticus League, crashed it, as they always do. But the important thing for me was that this was where I first heard of ARA and I saw that network that only went from deep from the middle mid midwest and didn't go anywhere Jersey exce unless maybe maybe Philly. but that's where but but it was really just like from med from Midwest Midwest of course Trump Tronto was really good. Calgary was good. and just started going out west from there. And and I was just like, I need to be plugged into all of this. This is this is where I belong. And and and by this time you're talking about I was in Cleveland for I guess July, June, August. Since since since June of ninety five. This this conference was in October and I was getting more and more involved in quote unquote radical po politics to begin with, but I was hanging with the R S R R R C P at the time. And I just always I mean I always felt something was missing me hanging with them. It wasn't where I was. And But anyway, we Copy: Thank you. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: but but it was more than just that. I mean a couple of months later, a couple was it a couple of months ago later? I mean, you're talking about, and this is what I really wanted to do with LPP, I mean, and start really ratcheting it up, because y'all do it in in Portsport anyway, they had block parties. AR-P AR B A had block parties. parties in Cle in in Columbus. I mean with with bands playing on a flat butt flat bed truck in the middle I was just like, man, we need more of this. And it it was it was just it was just beautiful. I mean it was where it was like I said, it was where I needed to be. And then next thing you know what I was coming back home to Jersey where everybody's And the first thing I do when I get get home is fight about a c start going out into the streets about a cop that killed one of us again. So I was just like, okay, I'm back in the game and back in the Jersey game. So and you know, it was it it w took really when Richard Richard Barrett from the nationalist c movement to have a rally in Jersey for people to realize no no no that I take that back to actually start getting people to organize but the pr but actually couple of months before New York had it had only its second only its second clan rally in its entire history. And this was in ninety nine. Luis: while we got a quick pause here, who knows when we're gonna air with this, but as we record this tonight, a primary is happening in Wisconsin and it looks to be like the established Democratic Party is going to be pushed to its limit in who wins. currently CNN is showing Francesca Hong, who is the DSA candidate at forty percent. And David Crowley, who is the Democratic established candidate at forty one point two percent. So, I know we're not really big into electoral politics over here and I don't mean to interrupt from the conversation, but I think this is kind of important. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Well we're looking at well I'm looking at it t I'm looking at it too, yeah. they really went after Hong in in whatchamacallit in in Wisconsin. I mean the media, the much the the main mainstream media, you know, MSM now and all of them were g really hardcore especially CNN were going after her. So I She was she was in the lead. She was really a h ahead. And then they just spent the past week just slamming her in particular. Everybody else they couldn't touch. Luis: I mean, the the mere fact that this race right now is literally one point two percentage points away from a difference should show the Democratic Party that there needs to be change. Right? Like, but here's the thing, they're not gonna take away that lesson, in my opinion. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: No, they no, at this point I think it's not so much them learning a lesson. it's more about expelling them. joe: Mm-hmm. I agree a hundred percent. Luis: I mean we saw we saw Copy: Yeah. Luis: El Saeed with his great victory the night he won. Ev like you said, every Democratic commentator on from every channel was fucking sounding like a right wing Republican talking about Copy: Yeah. Luis: this person rather than rallying behind him, right? Because he won with by like what? I think they spent ten to one dollars that he spent like Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah. Luis: in in that campaign? joe: Dude, the rally behind fucking like watching the Democrats rally against the DSA and people who are progressives and further left than Democrat lately has been absolutely fucking wild. There's a talking point. I was talking with Luis about this earlier, but there is a talking point right now that is getting pushed. by massive content creators, Democratic, you know, Democrat influencers on the internet. That's wild. That leftists, Luis: Wait till you hear this, Gerald. joe: leftists and progressives, when they say establishment Democrats, what they really mean is what they really want to say is the N-word. And they justify this by saying that when they're talking about establishment democrats, it's because the black community primarily votes for Democrats. So they're pissed off because they feel that black people are standing in the way of progress that they want to see. This is fucking I watched this put out by one TikTok influencer that has like a million followers and it's a liberal fucking influencer. I watched it put out by there was three different accounts that I watched do it. The smallest one on a follower account was like eight hundred something thousand and the larger one was like Luis: That lady came into our live the other day. joe: over a million. What that lady did? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Well I rem well the main thing that they're doing right now is trying to and they did this with Biden. their whole thing is that the DSA is not it's not attracting the the black folk and and and they're trying to exploit the hell out of that like they always do. They always exploit. Luis: I I I mean fuck Joe brings up the point constantly. Hakeem Jeffries was asked when Mondami won the New York, hey, is the DSA the new face of the Democratic Party? That man said nope. He said fuck them. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Well well well no well w well well let's b let's be fair. then they're not trying to be in many respects. They're just trying to get the old faces changed. Period. I mean, joe: Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: and and that's Luis: Why do you think they're not Go ahead, go ahead. I I'll save my question. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: It's it's really just a situation where they wanna get rid of that old guard that doesn't really wanna put in the work. 'Cause it's costing Luis: Why do you think Daryle Lamont Jenkins: us now. Luis: why do you think the DSA is not resonating with black voters? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Because black people are conservative. They don't f people don't think about it that way, but we can be just as right wing and have been as right wing as Rush Limbaugh, but within ourselves. Luis: Speak on that. Speak on that please because there's a whole because there are a whole bunch of people Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I've always speaked I mean you're you're talking about Luis: like yesterday like Joe and I have experienced speaking to people that don't believe that people of color can uphold white supremacy. So speak on that. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: But but by the same sp but see, it's weird because it's not so much about upholding white white r sus white supremacy. It's just basically just like any other conservative, they're trying to maintain th we are might maintaining our status quo. It's it's I mean, this is where you start talking about This is where religion is really still strong. you still see peac pearch piarch you know the word. Luis: Patriarchy. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yes, you see that real strong. unfortunately, homophobia and transphobia is real strong. been dealing with that for a while now. so you s so you see the issues that we have with the right in the the black community and and and and really you can see it in the hispanic c community as well and they're not gonna and a lot of us don't break out of that b out of that bubble we really don't break out of that bubble my father my father did not like communism he got pissed off and he was when he saw me messing around with the YCL once I got out of the Air Force but Luis: My gr my my my grandma didn't like him either. But let's talk about that for a minute. Let's talk about how our two communities are a conservative and yet there doesn't seem to be black and brown unity like there should be. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I mean, I know we have spoken about that before. Luis: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I've never seen a divide between black and brown communities here in Jersey. I've never seen that. Yeah. Luis: That's what I hear. That's what I hear. I I hear that's a west coast thing out here, boys. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah. But wh I would tell folks out west, I'll tell folks who do experience that. I look at how the right tries to exploit that, especially a guy named Scott Pressler, who goes around the country trying to drive trying to drive all kinds of traffic to the right, you know. And one of the ways he does it by trying to pit black communities against right I mean immigrants. And it's not like he cares about It it just it's a it's a means to an end. And I think we need to recognize that some of the I guess right wing trappings that we may find ourselves in may have to be disma discarded at some point. One of the things I will tell you for example is that we started getting to I remember back in the day, not not even that far back in the day, maybe just maybe ten years ago, it used to be a thing where black black politicians, whether it was Obama or some or some mayor or some or some senator or something like that felt they needed to get on the mic and start lecturing blacks black children about how they need to start acting right and all I mean they they used to do this all the time and the and the whole pull your pants up nonsense. And Philly got mad at Mayor Nutter when he was doing this. And and my it's like my brother was saying, we don't need to be lectured. And bear in mind bear in mind we were not kids when when all of this was going on. We were pretty much adults. We're kids of our own. It's just black black children don't need to be lectured like that. It's just like when they're talking about the how kids are where k kids are dressed in college. And it's like you guys gonna straight up bypass the fact that they're in college, really. All the years we have tried to make sure that we was getting educated and And you worrying about how to dress. Come on, y'all. And and that stopped though. We don't know why it stopped. Because the guy that started all of that was Bill Cosby. Luis: Doctor Bill Cosby, sir. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yep. And when he star I mean, he used to be he used to go on tours back in the day where he would just talk about would talk about black people black kids need to start wearing start wearing their pants straight and all of that. And then Hannibus Burris, just the c un a comedian, just shot him down. Just just ended his career by bringing up the fact that you're not exactly squeaky queen clean, my man. And that was the end of it. Everybody stopped talking, talking down to black children. And joe: Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: but that going back to the original point, that's speaks to the kind of co con conservatism that we see all the time. And it's also what's getting in the way right now. I don't think I could have ever been able to do what I do if I did it as a Democrat. If I did it within the party. I don't think I would have been allowed to. And I don't like someone telling me what I am allowed to do as a black man. So I ran it on my own. Copy: Yeah, I don't I mean, I definitely don't like being told what to fucking do at all. Like I I can feel Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah. Copy: that absolutely. joe: Yeah. Same. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Okay, there and by Luis: I love it on the other hand. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: the way, Hong is now n catching up to Crowley Crowley. joe: Good. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: So we'll see what happens with that. joe: You know, and I I'll I'll say it straight up, like I'm not a giant fan of the DSA, you know what I mean? But it is nice to see somebody with more of a progressive platform and more progressive views, actually get some notoriety across the country. while I have issues with various things that I've seen people who are, you know, representing the DSA say. I will say, watching from afar I've been a pretty big fan of a lot of shit that I've seen Mom Donnie do in New York. You know what I mean? Do. Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Mm-hmm. Do do. That's the difference. That's the that's the point right there. Cause all is all go. joe: Hundred percent. A hundred percent. Copy: Well his recent his recent thing where he is gonna start holding Amazon accountable and making Bezos fucking pay out of pocket for, you know, injuries on the job for people at the warehouses. That's that that right there is like fuck you billionaires and trillionaires. It's joe: That's Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah. joe: huge. So like something that happened out here a couple months ago in Oregon, in Portland, at the Amazon factory, right? The Amazon warehouse. A worker dropped dead on the floor. Right? What I how did he pass away, Luis? I don't remember a hundred percent. Luis: I I I believe off the top of my head, like old exhausted, kinda like your body just fucking kinda fucking, you know, as he's running because so Daryl, you don't know, but that facility is one of their larger facilities on the West Coast, right? It's huge. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Mm. Luis: it's only surpassed by the one that's somewhere down south in Woodburn or some shit like that. but yeah, so he dropped dead, and I'll let Joe finish the story. At the on the job. joe: Yeah, on the job during his shift. Copy: Up here we go. I I just looked it up real quick. Sorry to interrupt. co workers allege that the management instructed them to keep working and look away while the body remained on the floor for over an hour. joe: Yep. Yep. That was in Portland in what was that? Frickin' April? May? Yeah. Copy: Yeah. Yeah, well well, let me April sixth. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: That's why people are voting Yeah, that's why that's why people are are voting DSA. I mean the truth of the matter is and I said and I said this before, there's no excuse in the world why Trump is back. There is no excuse for that. At some Copy: No shit. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: point you gotta start saying, Okay, what do what are we doing wrong? And the truth Luis: Well, I would like I mean, I don't mean to cut you off there, but there is a reason why Trump is back. And as a Latino, let me fucking apologize to white people, you two, and to black people, you two, okay? Because you touched on it earlier. Latin and black cultures tend to be very conservative. And Latinos overwhelmingly voted for this man, and I am sorry. joe: So they they did, right? But I don't I honestly don't see that that's the reason that Donald Trump is back in office. What what I see is that okay, so one of the one one of the prime arguments from the right as to the twenty twenty election being stolen is that there's twenty million votes that were in that election that were not in this election, right? So w the people that I blame, Daryle Lamont Jenkins: there's a reason for that. joe: the what's that? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: No, go on, go on. I wanted to hear joe: I I was gonna say the people that I blame for Donald Trump being back in office one hundred percent is the Democrats, right? And Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yep, that's exactly where I was gonna go. joe: words. So what happened there? I watched a Kamala Harris rally where somebody was asking her directly, What is like why are you not demanding a ceasefire? From Israel, and what is Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I'm speaking. joe: your plan? I'm speaking. Are you more do you want to talk about things that don't matter or do you want to win? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: And my sister liked that when she did that. Copy: Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Sh I joe: Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: don't think she understood exactly what was going on at that time. She thought that that w that made her look cool. The problem joe: Yeah, so I mean at the Daryle Lamont Jenkins: is that I kept telling people, who are the who are the who are the pal who were the Palest Pal Pal Palestinians are gonna vote for this year? They can't vote for they can't vote for either of y'all because y'all both on the same side on this particular case. Luis: And I'm sorry, anybody joe: So what we Luis: that knows Indian culture, I'm sorry. Indian culture is uber conservative. I spent time in India. Like, like it's super joe: Okay. Luis: conservative. joe: Okay, so where where I'm going out with this, so what what ended up happening is the typical Democrat playbook, right? They take every opportunity to learn absolutely nothing from their mistakes. So In 2020, in that election, you had masses of people that went and voted for Joe Biden because we had just endured four years of absolute fucking bananas nonsense from Donald Trump, right? So you had you had that progressive vote that went and voted for the Democrats. You had the leftists that were out voting for the Democrats. People who didn't normally get involved in electoral politics were out there voting. To get this fucking guy out of here, right? So in that time, that part of that was, okay, the Democrats, now Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are promising all sorts of things, widespread police reform. We're gonna do that. We're really gonna focus on, you know, poor people, we're gonna focus on the working class. And none of it really happened. Like little bits here and there, but none of it happened. So then when people said, yo, what the fuck? This is not. Why we voted for you. So this is an argument you throw out all the time, Luis, right? When we're talking about revolution and shit like that. If you can't if what you propose is not better than what we already have, why the fuck are we gonna change it? And that's exactly what the Democratic Party did in this last Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Well what they joe: presidential election. Go ahead. Luis: Wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold up, wait. I I I say that, right? I say I I say it needs to be better. That sounds like some brilliant ass shit. I hope you guys all took notes on what I the knowledge that I dropped right there via Joe. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I gotta throw something at him. Luis: That's that's that's all I that that that that's that's all I wanted joe: Right? I hate I hate pumping up this dude's ego, man. Luis: to say Copy: Right. Luis: is that I hope you guys were all taking notes. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Okay, v you're right there. I mean, I I gotta find what can I throw at you that will Copy: Yeah. Luis: Jen, I think the boys are asking you to come give me a free kick. joe: Word. But no, seriously Copy: Yes. joe: though, like so so in that though, right? Like they did not uphold even the smallest of things that they promised to uphold. And then when they didn't want to. They that's the thing Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Because they didn't want to. When joe: is that they they never intend to. So I I spent I'm sorry, Darryl, I don't mean to over talk you there. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: It's just like w who do they bloom how how do they how do they justify not doing anything even though they had Congress and the and the White House? They kept on saying that it was because of two senators that just kept on messing up. And they were both Democrats. joe: Word. Word. But the thing is they they they bank on the fact of well see we just had Donald Trump four years ago. People are gonna remember that and they're gonna show up because if they Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Right. Luis: Okay. Hey boys. joe: don't show up and vote for us, it's gonna be fascism, right? Like that that is the playbook all the time. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Right, yeah. Th there's it's Trump will come back and all that. Well, he had no business coming back. He'd already been convicted. Luis: Okay, you guys, I got I gotta take my headphones out. joe: That's why this motherfucker got elected though, right? Straight up is because they lost Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Listen. joe: okay, hold on, Luis, is because they lost that fucking vote. And they really lost that vote when they refused to take a hard line on fucking Israel committing genocide in Palestine. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: And joe: All right, so Daryl, you you know, that in my opinion, that's why the Democrats lost. And you said that you wanted to touch on that a little bit more. So what do you got, man? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Well was is really a point where one of the things that I had the biggest problem with that I have a big problem with and we and we seldom talk about this, but we need to. the whole thing where they feel they need to reach across the aisle. Okay. You wanna try to reach out to the other side, you wanna try to work with Republicans to try to get them on this side to try to Build things up because we have to do that kind of thing. Okay. But they do it at a way where they just ignore their base. They ignore what it is we want. To the point that I was listening to the response, the Democratic response a couple of years back to Trump's State of the Union address. And Senator Slockman was the one that had that gave it. And she's a Democrat, but you couldn't tell. Bear in mind also she was also a CIA agent too at one time. That seems to be happening a lot amongst Republicans. I mean the Democrats too. joe: Mm-hmm. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: but she went she went in and started talking about how she worked f worked with Obama. And that was the last time in her democratic response that she mentioned a Democrat. All of a sudden it was about how great Reagan was. And and you start listening to some of these Democrats. I mean, we just started hearing it coming from Carvel, who by the way, has endorsed El Saeed, believe it or not. but he now he's talking about schisms and about how they need to fight the DSA. maybe be maybe he's endorsing him because he's not because I'm El El Said is not DSA. But but the fact of the matter is he's basically going against against anything that's progressive in the in in the party. and then of course there's Bill Marble. Well let's not even go there with him. He's another animal Luis: Little quick little side note about the Wisconsin race. We are currently at David Crowley with forty point four percent of the vote fucking counted Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I'm looking. Luis: and Miss Hong at forty point three percent. And it looks like we still have three, six, nine. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I think she's gonna take it. Luis: it looks like we have eleven counties left to report. Looks like she's gonna take it. This is better than. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I think she's gonna take it. I think she's gonna take joe: No, that's real. No, are they? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: it. No no no no. She's is it's Luis: This is better than an NBA game right now. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: getting it just went up a little bit more. Now it's forty point five to forty eight f Luis: wait, hold on, let me re Daryle Lamont Jenkins: it's getting yep, it's Copy: Yeah, and that's it's it's a nice thing about Wisconsin, you know, it's I lived there for a little bit and I think yeah, it's been years since I lived there, but it it was a nice mix of y you've got like the ultra conservative side in the southern parts of Wisconsin, which you get over towards Illinois and all that kind of shit. Surprisingly, southern Illinois is a little conservative and a little red. Luis: Weirdly the map weirdly the map is backing you on that copy because so on the back of the map there's only one place that voted for Miss Hong and that is the county that Madison is. the next town the next county that voted for her would be whatever one lacrosse is in and she seems to be winning Copy: Yeah, that's lacrosse Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Lacrosse Copy: county. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: is voting for her? Luis: She she seems Copy: Yeah. Luis: to be voting winning up north according to this map right here. with joe: Word. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: lacrosse have you ever Luis: with this guy winning the south and the central. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: lacrosse Wisconsin you go there Copy: Yes, is a town. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: and they hand you a criminal record Copy: Yeah. It's joe: Ha ha ha. Luis: Yeah. Copy: no fucking joke between that and on Alaska because that's basically like, you know, it's right next door to each other. There's like the I ninety divide between lacrosse and fucking on Alaska. And wow, between those two departments, Jesus Christ. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I see them I see them on I watch a lot of these you know, those Yeah, you watch I I watch Copy: The YouTube? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: those all the time, the police ca dot dash cam cams. Copy: Yeah, it's it's like the the the I I don't know if it's like blue line cams or some shit is one that I watch and it's just fucking ridiculous. They hem people up for absolutely no fucking reason. Luis: Seven hundred votes right now separate these people. One's got two hundred thousand Daryle Lamont Jenkins: I'm looking at it. I'm looking at it. Luis: seventeen four hundred and ninety two votes. The other one's got two hundred and sixteen seven hundred and nineteen votes. joe: Word. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: And I don't even know what they're saying. I mean the comp I I I'll have to look at it later, but it's like, yeah, okay. It's this is funny. It's all fun. She's I think she's gonna get it. And and you and you know why I'll Luis: All right, so I mean Darrell, we're we're moving into the Daryle Lamont Jenkins: tell you I'll tell you right now, last week I got the best surprise in the world. Andy Augles lost his seat. Luis: Who's that? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: He was a congressman. He was in one of these he he he came out of one of these redistricted re gerrymanded districts that diluted the black representation in Nashville. And he was he's a mess. I mean I complete I mean he he was racist as hell. First of all, he wanted to make I think he wanted Trump's birthday to be a hash national holiday and all of that. Never mind those kinds of stunts. This dude was saying was basically his thing was about trying to say the Muslims are not a pat is cannot cannot boy, you know what? I'm just gonna he basically did what Nancy Mace did. She's basically saying that Muslims are not compatible in Western civilization. he said the same thing about Hispanics as during the Bad Bunny thing. He started saying that they are not a part of American com culture. he said that about the gay community too. ALG P T C Q commer community well now he is no longer a part of Congress because the primaries Luis: Nice. Well Daryl, I'd like joe: Good. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: they they they smacked them down and apparently his his opponent remember Trump loved ogles but I guess the the Democrats got a hold of some money and and s shoveled it over to h to his opponent and and now he's now he's going home. Now he's going home. Luis: Well, that's awesome. Daryl, joe: Good. Luis: we've spent a lot of time here. And if you're just tuning in, where the fuck have you been for the last hour and fifteen minutes? You got here late to the party. Fucking go back to the beginning. but we are talking with Daryl Lamont Jenkins, founder of One People's Project in Idavox. We've talked a little bit Daryle Lamont Jenkins: You are? No. Luis: about his history, Copy: Who that? Luis: we've talked a little bit about his how he organized. and now Daryl, moving forward. I'd like to spend these last few minutes with you. what do you think is going to happen? What what what how how how do you see all of this mess breaking out? I think it was Joe who told me exactly what Trump said earlier today. Stranger Things have happened. Joe, Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah, let's get yeah, I remember you wanted to talk about that. Mm-hmm. Luis: do you wanna let everybody know what that's about? joe: Yeah, sure. So Donald Trump was asked in the we hours of the morning today, on August eleventh, during an interview, have you ruled out? have you ruled out seizing the election? So they were basically a they they asked him, would you declare a national emergency and seize the election. And by seize the election, that can mean a couple of things. One of them being federalizing these elections, where the feds are now in charge of Counting votes and running the polls, which is wild and directly against the Constitution. or the other thing would just be suspending the elections altogether until a later date. And his response to that was crazier things have happened. Which isn't that's not super Copy: Well I mean did sorry. joe: that's not super comforting, right? And this is something I've been saying this for. fucking since the beginning of the year, like we're not gonna get elections. Like I still believe that we're not gonna get elections come November. You know, I mean everybody is so focused on the fucking midterms that vote vote blue no matter who, because that always gets us somewhere great, right? And in that, Copy: Cry to Jesus. joe: I would also like to point out something that so many of these Democrats seem to forget with their vote blue no matter who shit. Wasn't it in 2020 when Tulsi Gabbard ran for president as Copy: Yeah. joe: a fucking Democrat? Right? Anyways, that's getting off topic. I'm not super convinced that we're going to get an election. And if we do get one, I'm definitely not convinced that it'll be a free and fair election. Copy: Election, yeah. Luis: Well, Joe, I gotta agree with you and and let me I I'd like to even go this far. Because of what's happening tonight, because of what's happened in New York City, because of what's happened in Michigan and Colorado, okay, I think the established Democratic Party is going to ultimately be relieved when the elections are squashed. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Yeah, they are. I was gonna say that. I was gonna say that. They might even help Trump shut it down. I I I mean, Copy: Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: like I said before, there is absolutely no excuse in the world why he came back and the only reason why he is back is not because anything that the conservatives are doing, the Republicans are doing, it's what we're doing. let me take that back. It's what the Democrats are doing. And what Copy: Right. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: we're doing, you gotta think about it like this. While we're out while we're out there in the streets dealing with what's going on Delaney Hall, of course there's a few locals that are local comp politicians that are involved, but when we see what's going on in when it comes to ice and everything, you really don't see politicians doing anything about it. You see us. We're the ones that are getting shot and killed in the streets fighting with with ice. Yes, you do have some congressmen. Or Caucus women, getting jammed up by the s by Trump and all that, of course. But you see us out there. And that's really is a testament because it tells you who has the strength. You asked me w how do I think this is gonna go? Then it depends on us. It Copy: Yeah. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: depends on us. Are we prepared to do more than just Okay, she just went down a little bit. are we prepared to do what we what we to need to do as a people beyond the vote? You know. I think it's I think it's time we start recognizing that we have to. We have to do I mean I'm not talking about grabbing the bun guns or anything like that. I'm just talking about we gotta we gotta really start doing things that ensure the freedoms that we say we wanna have, you know. Luis: I mean, Daryl, like like we don't have to grab the guns. You and I are both of an age where we remember the fall of the communism, okay? And what I didn't know you were that old, bro. You live better than I do. Copy: Forty fucking five, dickhead. Luis: Okay. I I I hear you. Let me wrap up this point. I I could see it in your face. So Daryle Lamont Jenkins: By the way, on on CNN they have this th there is they're talking about what Trump said, floating the idea of st Luis: Okay, so so so here's the thing. So, like a fucking comedian on stage, I've just been fucking white lit. Okay. That white light Daryle Lamont Jenkins: He's talked with Wayne Albert. Luis: is going off and it's going off like really bad. Because the person running the white light is they're gonna kill me when I say this, but they're hangry. Okay. So, Daryl, thank no, no, no, no need for you to say anything. Copy: Ha ha. Luis: Daryl. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Exactly. Luis: Thanks for joining us. If you're looking for more information on Darrell Lamont Jenkins and One People's, please check out IDbox.com or OnePeoplesProject.com. He also has an amazing podcast called Anti-Fascist OG. And I believe this week your guest host is none other than Joe from the Hold Your Ground podcast. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Joe. Copy: Ey Luis: Also, in closing, I've got a new book out. That's right. I'm every week from now until fucking Christmas, you guys are gonna hear about this new goddamn book. It's called How the Anti Fascist Saves Christmas. It's about how a stupid country named the USA voted for an evil wizard who detained none other than Santa Claus and how maybe two people from this show, maybe three people, go and free him. I don't know, get it. But here's the Copy: Ha ha ha ha. Luis: thing there's no AI art in it, okay? If you know a right winger, you can piss them off by buying it. So buy it and give it to them. Okay. If you want to piss off the regime and help a queer indigenous child go through transition, buy the book because five dollars goes to that. So there's lots of reason. Or if you want to support a really cool Latino dude with a tattoo on his face and kind of thick, ugly glasses, who likes to watch Love Boat episodes. Copy: Mm-hmm. Luis: Fucking there there's a reason right there. Anyway, Joe Copy and Daryl, do you guys have any last words? Daryle Lamont Jenkins: Well, I just wanted to mention the whole thing about the about floating the emergency national emergency to control e elections. He was talking to William Allen Root who believes that James Alex Fields didn't kill Heather Hire in in Charlottesville. He he says that that was paid probably paid actors or somebody that that that shore sorrow some hired and that's what we're fighting. So and we gotta go back we gotta get in the streets. But I always tell people it's also about building our own is in institutions. Not just media st institutions like we are doing today, you know. but also the things that we are looking for w in our communities. you know, and what our communities are looking for most importantly. we gotta start building we gotta start meeting that need. 'cause obviously our society our our politicians or elected officials or whatever are not looking towards that. And we g we still should be voting, we should still still out there still try to do what we can to g you know get get the right people in in office But the right people are gonna be taking their cues from what it is we do in them streets. So be Luis: Absolutely. Daryle Lamont Jenkins: out there and make sure that they get the get that message of anything that we're putting work in, you better. Luis: You heard the man right there. We're putting in work, so you motherfuckers better. So on that last note, the last thing that we're gonna say before we say suck it and we're out of here. Look, August 22nd, Jake motherfucking douchebag Lang is having an N-word rally in in the twin cities of Minnesota. Although he's saying the word, okay? I forget who his keynote speaker is. Joe knows. Okay, Shiloh Hendrix, the woman accused of calling. joe: Sha Shilohendricks. Copy: Jesus. Luis: A child of color joe: Not accused. Luis: or of convicted calling a child of color the N-word. Okay, they're using it. So here's the thing we're saying right now, if you are call yourself an anti-racist or an anti-fascist and you are within a six mile drive of the twin cities and you don't get there, you're full of shit. Second of all, w Copy: Fucking fifty miles. Luis: there we go. And second of all, when you do go there, okay, don't go there all fired up like you're gonna beat the fashion. Cool, listen to the locals. Let the locals lead you. Do what they want you to do. Okay? They might not want you to bash. That might suck. But listen to them because they're the ones that have to live there. Now, with that being said, why were you even listening to us anyway? thank you. hit the wrap button. Good night,
