- 0:01Speaker 1: Jaring you Katy and Josh six one hundred.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Well, it sounds like Josh had a wild night at
- 0:06Speaker 2: the gym last night.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Oh dude, I have never experienced this before. So I've
- 0:11Speaker 3: been a member with VASA and I love it.
- 0:13Speaker 2: They're great.
- 0:13Speaker 3: They do like a month to month thing, and I
- 0:15Speaker 3: was actually one of the first members to sign up
- 0:17Speaker 3: at the gym when it started in my area. So
- 0:19Speaker 3: I've had like the flat rate of like ten ninety
- 0:22Speaker 3: nine for years now. Nice, fantastic, Absolutely love it, but
- 0:26Speaker 3: they have, you know, the people that work there, and
- 0:27Speaker 3: they always try to get you to maybe up your
- 0:30Speaker 3: membership or try to do like the VIP gold or whatever.
- 0:34Speaker 3: So I'm doing just the free weights yesterday, and as
- 0:37Speaker 3: that's going on, one of the team members approaches me.
- 0:41Speaker 3: And I'm still thinking about it because I don't think
- 0:45Speaker 3: this dude actually complimented me, but I think they always
- 0:48Speaker 3: have like these words or phrases to try to make
- 0:51Speaker 3: you feel better about yourself. And I'm doing the free
- 0:53Speaker 3: weights and I'm doing thirty pound curls, okay, so it's
- 0:56Speaker 3: not like anything like super super hard or whatever, but
- 0:58Speaker 3: I'm just doing I'm getting from my reps in and
- 1:01Speaker 3: he looks at me and he goes, dude, that's a
- 1:03Speaker 3: lot of wait for your stature.
- 1:05Speaker 4: And I was like, first of all.
- 1:08Speaker 5: Sir's okay, just say the four year stature part was
- 1:13Speaker 5: completely unnecessary.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Completely backhanded. And also it's not like it's my first
- 1:18Speaker 3: time at a gym ever. I'm like, what are you
- 1:20Speaker 3: talking about, sir. And then after that, he was talking
- 1:23Speaker 3: to me and trying and I had my headphones, well
- 1:25Speaker 3: one headphone in. I took one out to talk to him,
- 1:27Speaker 3: but I have a headphone in. I got music going,
- 1:29Speaker 3: and I'm like half listening to this dude give me
- 1:31Speaker 3: a spiel about the Vasa VIP That's what I was
- 1:35Speaker 3: hearing it was.
- 1:35Speaker 5: And he works there and he said that to you.
- 1:38Speaker 4: First of all, yes, this is a team member. He
- 1:40Speaker 4: works there.
- 1:41Speaker 3: And then he's trying to get me to sign up
- 1:43Speaker 3: for He's like, it was the the whole thing was
- 1:45Speaker 3: essentially for five dollars more, we can do this whole thing.
- 1:48Speaker 3: And I was half listening YadA YadA whatever, and I'm
- 1:51Speaker 3: saying no this whole time. But I feel like he's trying,
- 1:54Speaker 3: I called it, trying to get me to like sign
- 1:56Speaker 3: up for the Cult of like working out and all
- 1:59Speaker 3: this stuff, and I don't know if he actually signed me. Like,
- 2:02Speaker 3: he did not take no for an answer, so I
- 2:04Speaker 3: don't know if he actually signed me up. I'm waiting
- 2:06Speaker 3: for an email being like, hey, you've been signed up
- 2:08Speaker 3: for VIP. Here we go, and I'm like, I said
- 2:11Speaker 3: no like fifteen times, like oh, you know, like maybe
- 2:14Speaker 3: I'm not really interested, not really thank you.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Please go away, please go away. Yeah, And he.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Would not take no for an answer, So I'm just
- 2:20Speaker 3: waiting to see that I actually am signed up for
- 2:22Speaker 3: my free three month trial?
- 2:24Speaker 4: Was his foot to get with it? I have no idea.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I wasn't listening, genuinely, I have no idea the extra
- 2:30Speaker 3: anything that I get with it. He just kept using
- 2:33Speaker 3: those phrases like oh, VIP be ippy, and I'm like,
- 2:36Speaker 3: I'm sure that works for some people, but dude, I
- 2:38Speaker 3: just want to I just want to use my thirties,
- 2:40Speaker 3: which you said was good for my stature, so thank
- 2:42Speaker 3: you very much, and I just want to get out
- 2:43Speaker 3: of here.
- 2:44Speaker 5: I think you just get backhead.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I think I think it, yeah, I think in three
- 2:49Speaker 3: I think it's also you get like, uh, the red
- 2:52Speaker 3: light therapy that they have there and the the what
- 2:55Speaker 3: they get's like a little tenth thing.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Have you ever heard of that?
- 2:57Speaker 4: The red light sauna, what they talk about.
- 3:01Speaker 3: There's extra things that you can do there that like
- 3:03Speaker 3: it's like the gold membership or whatever. So I'm just
- 3:05Speaker 3: waiting to see my credit card statement coming on.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, well yeah, I like it. And I know you
- 3:10Speaker 2: can't say no.
- 3:11Speaker 5: So that's it. It's so hard.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I can't say no. That's why why you both ended
- 3:15Speaker 2: up in the locker room making out. Well, yeah, that
- 3:18Speaker 2: was a different store. I can't say no.
- 3:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:20Speaker 2: One of the member benefits there was real quick, A
- 3:24Speaker 2: big old shout out to water World, who just came
- 3:27Speaker 2: in at the fifth best water park in all of America.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Who very nice, splish splash, congratulations to water World. Big day. Today.

- 4:52Speaker 2: But that's kind of exciting. It makes it affordable if
- 4:54Speaker 2: you can get in to go see a little hut
- 4:56Speaker 2: hut Omaha action twenty three bucks? Ye bad.
- 4:59Speaker 3: NFL tickets are astronomical now, and it's rightfully so, just
- 5:02Speaker 3: because of you know, the product they put on the field.
- 5:04Speaker 4: But twenty three bucks to go see the Broncos mean, yeah,
- 5:08Speaker 4: I like that.
- 5:08Speaker 2: If you can get in, I bet you. Nickknack's going
- 5:10Speaker 2: to be on there today. He's a big he's a
- 5:13Speaker 2: big sports wall fan. So we shall see other big
- 5:15Speaker 2: news with the Broncos today too, right.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Well, yeah, keeping up with that, the Broncos are starting
- 5:19Speaker 3: training camp officially today, which is so exciting. The first
- 5:22Speaker 3: public training camp that you can go watch for free,
- 5:24Speaker 3: by the way, starts July thirty first. However, in football terms,
- 5:28Speaker 3: I'm gonna call an audible here jar because I just
- 5:31Speaker 3: read this headline that came out about four hours ago.
- 5:34Speaker 2: We need to talk about this.
- 5:35Speaker 3: A hiker walks ten miles down Montana's tallest mountain after
- 5:40Speaker 3: accidentally impaling himself on a pole. What all, to avoid
- 5:45Speaker 3: a costly helicopter evacuation, I had to do a little
- 5:48Speaker 3: bit more research. The thirty two year old er nurse
- 5:50Speaker 3: named David Cafaldi was day hiking the tallest mountain in
- 5:55Speaker 3: Montana with his boys. He accidentally slipped on a rock
- 5:58Speaker 3: near the top of the mountain and impaled himself on
- 6:01Speaker 3: his own trekking pole and it went clean through his
- 6:05Speaker 3: lat So we're talking right side lat okay, with about
- 6:08Speaker 3: eight inches sticking out both sides of his body. Now
- 6:11Speaker 3: he is a nurse, so his nurse brain kicks in
- 6:14Speaker 3: immediately he checks himself.
- 6:16Speaker 4: He realizes that nothing vital is hit.
- 6:17Speaker 3: He thinks he can still breathe fine, Yeah, so he says,
- 6:20Speaker 3: you know what, screw that helicopter Bill, I'm gonna just
- 6:22Speaker 3: start hiking down.
- 6:24Speaker 4: He tracks ten miles.
- 6:26Speaker 3: It takes six hours, as friends are spotting him on
- 6:29Speaker 3: the walkie talkie and a camera even via satellite to
- 6:32Speaker 3: make sure that he's okay. His kids even run ahead
- 6:36Speaker 3: to make sure the families and other kids don't see
- 6:38Speaker 3: the gnarly pole sticking.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Out of his body. There. Hold on, no, it gets better,
- 6:46Speaker 2: put that narly pole away. After about falls.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Left, he realizes, hey, I'm actually gonna make this. He
- 6:52Speaker 3: starts making his own kebab jokes on the radio. This
- 6:57Speaker 3: is totally jer He walks himself down, makes it to
- 7:00Speaker 3: the hospital and is able to get back and get
- 7:03Speaker 3: the poll.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Hold on, hold on, look at the picture.
- 7:06Speaker 2: My god, there's more picture that'll get you no superous things.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Jeremy's head off that picture because I envision you walking
- 7:16Speaker 5: down the trail on the bar. This is you're making goodness,
- 7:24Speaker 5: This is serious.
- 7:24Speaker 2: This is incredible feat incredible feet well, congratulations to that
- 7:29Speaker 2: guy in his pool. Done some awesome action right there.
- 7:35Speaker 5: Really, we've got receipts, we've got drummers, we've got Denver talking.
- 7:43Speaker 1: It's the Mile High Hike with JKJ legends and icons
- 7:47Speaker 1: on makes one hundred.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Well, there's a list out this morning about Netflix and
- 7:53Speaker 2: the most streamed shows on there. Hey, pop demon, Sorry moms,
- 8:01Speaker 2: what that's been on in your house? About eight million times?
- 8:06Speaker 2: The number one most watch show on Netflix.
- 8:11Speaker 5: They're like, no, don't say it three times there in
- 8:14Speaker 5: the mirror.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, do it, bloody May. It's approaching seven hundred million views,
- 8:22Speaker 2: so it little hit a billion. I bet eventually.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Wow, what is it? Wow? I've seen that movie. I
- 8:28Speaker 5: saw it when it first came out. Part of it,
- 8:30Speaker 5: like when it was like really hyped up and it
- 8:32Speaker 5: was new, and I was like, oh, this is such
- 8:34Speaker 5: a cute little movie for kids. And then it overtook
- 8:37Speaker 5: our whole lives, Like Baked.
- 8:40Speaker 2: I working at a radio station where we played Golden
- 8:43Speaker 2: all every day, all day.
- 8:45Speaker 5: I know, finally it moved into a subpark category to
- 8:48Speaker 5: where we don't hear.
- 8:49Speaker 2: It is just like that movie subpar. It was fine.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I don't know my daughter really got into it. She
- 8:55Speaker 2: dressed up as one of the characters for Halloween and
- 8:57Speaker 2: kids loved it.
- 8:58Speaker 5: I liked for the females, you know, the little girls,
- 9:00Speaker 5: so they were able to look up to those you know.
- 9:03Speaker 5: It was good. It was all little movie for Yeah,
- 9:07Speaker 5: I have twenty four to seven control of your TV
- 9:10Speaker 5: or any you know.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Thing you're streaming on like now. The second one I
- 9:14Speaker 2: can get on board with it was the Super Mario
- 9:15Speaker 2: Brothers movie.
- 9:17Speaker 5: But again not one that you saw twenty four to seven,
- 9:20Speaker 5: and that.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Was like less than half two hundred and seventy one
- 9:23Speaker 2: million views compared to the almost seven hundred on K Pop.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Boss Baby came in third minions and then Leo. I'm
- 9:30Speaker 2: trying to remember which one Leo was, which.
- 9:32Speaker 5: The one about the the basketball player. Right, is this
- 9:35Speaker 5: Steph Curry the Leo one, the goat.
- 9:37Speaker 2: It could be I don't know, goat. They should just
- 9:40Speaker 2: name it the goat. It looks like a lizard.
- 9:42Speaker 5: It's a lizard.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Yeah, very similar against Sandler plays Leo. Does the lizard
- 9:48Speaker 2: play basketball?
- 9:49Speaker 5: Oh no, no, no, it's a different movie. But Leo
- 9:51Speaker 5: was the little iguana that Adam Sandler voice, and he
- 9:55Speaker 5: was trying to like teach people like lifeless waiting.
- 9:58Speaker 8: Here's basketball, that's what it's being streams.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Naked cute movie too, that's unworth it. Yeah, I watch
- 10:17Speaker 5: it with the kiddos. I like it.
- 10:18Speaker 2: That's random children watching movies with Adam Sandler movie. Was
- 10:23Speaker 2: it really your twenty year old daughter?
- 10:25Speaker 5: No, it was me watching it.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Yeah, that's concerning.
- 10:28Speaker 5: What do you mean it's Adam Sandler?
- 10:30Speaker 2: What children's movie? Should I watch the game? Okay? So
- 10:34Speaker 2: this is un settling. This has been streamed a lot.
- 10:36Speaker 2: There's a six part series on Instagram right now, so
- 10:39Speaker 2: with six different videos showing a woman on a Carnival
- 10:42Speaker 2: cruise scratching her foot fungus with a fork.
- 10:45Speaker 5: I've seen it.
- 10:46Speaker 2: It was filmed secretly by several other guests that were
- 10:50Speaker 2: incredibly grossed out. It has attracted almost thirty million views,
- 10:54Speaker 2: so it's getting up there. Put it on Netflix and
- 10:57Speaker 2: it did force a response from Carnival saying that we
- 10:59Speaker 2: can confirmed that the forks are intended for food, not
- 11:03Speaker 2: foot care. Once we became aware of the situation, our
- 11:06Speaker 2: team quickly addressed it with the guests and removed the
- 11:10Speaker 2: utensils from service. How did they know they got the
- 11:14Speaker 2: right force.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Like we took it out of rotation, it's no longer
- 11:18Speaker 5: in that.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I think they would throw all the forks overboard in
- 11:21Speaker 2: the middle of the Pacific and then buying new force.
- 11:23Speaker 5: You would have to.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I mean, how do you know anyway, she was going
- 11:27Speaker 2: to town with that fork. Videos stuff has fallen off
- 11:29Speaker 2: her feet.
- 11:30Speaker 5: The dryness from that foot is make your stomach lurk.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Yeah, if she's gonna do it, I want her to
- 11:36Speaker 2: hold it over my salad like a little parmesan cheese
- 11:39Speaker 2: and shred it over my salad.
- 11:40Speaker 5: And she's gonna do it, more salt, Please.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Make it worth my while, you know, put a little
- 11:44Speaker 2: protein in my salad. Did you imagine? Out? And I
- 11:49Speaker 2: got one final thing. It is local Golden officials and
- 11:52Speaker 2: volunteers are dealing with a growing amount of trash along
- 11:56Speaker 2: Clear Creek as visitors are crowding the water right now
- 12:00Speaker 2: just to escape the summer heat. There's all sorts of
- 12:03Speaker 2: stuff littering, including tubes full tubes, cans, food packaging, clothing,
- 12:09Speaker 2: and other debris being abandoned along the banks and then
- 12:13Speaker 2: carried downstream.
- 12:15Speaker 5: I hate that.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Uh So the public is outraged down there in golden
- 12:20Speaker 2: and I'm a little irritated by this as well. I mean,
- 12:22Speaker 2: the cleanup is not free. I mean they're gonna have
- 12:24Speaker 2: to hire people to get this all clean up, and
- 12:27Speaker 2: then it goes into nature.
- 12:28Speaker 5: I hate it.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Like you don't want a little beaver with an inner
- 12:31Speaker 2: tube around him.
- 12:32Speaker 5: That is I mean that sounds but like that is
- 12:36Speaker 5: one of the biggest rules of hiking. You pack out
- 12:39Speaker 5: what you packed in, pack it in, pack it out
- 12:41Speaker 5: anything where you're going. And the fact that people are
- 12:45Speaker 5: just so casually leaving water bottles and like clothes, like.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Yeah, probably do just bailing out on probably tubes that
- 12:53Speaker 2: are ripped up or something.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Do that.
- 12:55Speaker 2: That ain't right.
- 12:56Speaker 5: We don't like that.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I mean, we can be parents all day and waggle
- 12:58Speaker 2: our finger they're still gonna do it. But come on, well,
- 13:00Speaker 2: let's get cry.
- 13:02Speaker 5: We don't like that. We don't like that people are
- 13:04Speaker 5: doing that.
- 13:05Speaker 2: We need to have a designated people along the creek
- 13:08Speaker 2: there with tasers that tasos people.
- 13:11Speaker 5: Do you want to volunteer for that kind that's a
- 13:13Speaker 5: Jeremy job.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I kind of do.
- 13:15Speaker 5: I like that. I do like that a lot.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah, let's tas those sobs. Okay, what else is going
- 13:20Speaker 2: on locally.
- 13:21Speaker 5: Hey, we've got some fun stories for you, like the
- 13:23Speaker 5: first ever Fat Marmot Week. Whoa sound fun. So it's
- 13:28Speaker 5: a bracket and everything. It's very similar to the Fat
- 13:31Speaker 5: Bear Week at that National Park and preserve that they
- 13:34Speaker 5: do that at you know where you vote for your
- 13:36Speaker 5: favorite fat bear and it's like a bracket and they
- 13:39Speaker 5: advance to the next round of the bracket based on
- 13:42Speaker 5: the public's votes and everything. That's what they're gonna do
- 13:45Speaker 5: with the first ever Fat Marmot Week. It's happening in
- 13:47Speaker 5: August twenty fourth through the twenty ninth, and it's the
- 13:50Speaker 5: scientists in a gothic Colorado that's where this is taking place,
- 13:55Speaker 5: if you're familiar. But they're inviting the public to vote
- 13:57Speaker 5: for their favorite.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Marmot to the marmot's dress and dials.
- 14:01Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Mascara on, no, no, Marilyn Manson T shirts on why gothic?
- 14:08Speaker 5: Oh, now I get it, get it now, I get
- 14:12Speaker 5: the gothic marmot. He tells you all about his feelings.
- 14:17Speaker 5: Night will be the night that I will fall for you.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Like that's what the marmots walk around like. Don't
- 14:23Speaker 2: talk to me.
- 14:24Speaker 5: Yeah exactly, and then it grows out of it because
- 14:27Speaker 5: it was just a fake. It was totally just a
- 14:29Speaker 5: fake collar on you know, Yeah, I want to vote
- 14:33Speaker 5: for that marmot.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Yeah collar Okay.
- 14:35Speaker 5: August twenty fourth is when we can start. I can't wait,
- 14:38Speaker 5: Like first ever fat marmots, which fun for you, joked okay.
- 14:42Speaker 5: And then so the water levels right out at Green
- 14:45Speaker 5: Mountain Reservoir they ever revealed. Now as you everyone knows,
- 14:49Speaker 5: we are in a crazy drought here in the state
- 14:51Speaker 5: of Colorado and it's starting to reveal things underneath the waters.
- 14:55Speaker 5: I was like, oh, that's where that went. So an
- 14:58Speaker 5: ATV that has been missing for five years, they found it.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Found they found it at the Green Mountain Reservoir. Again,
- 15:07Speaker 5: it is at twenty three percent capacity due to the
- 15:10Speaker 5: current drought. So the lost ATV just kind of revealed
- 15:13Speaker 5: itself there. The people who are in charge of the park,
- 15:16Speaker 5: they got a hold of the owner and everything, and
- 15:18Speaker 5: they're like, okay, so we found this. There's also a
- 15:21Speaker 5: lot of other things that they're expecting to find out
- 15:23Speaker 5: at this reservoir.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Just no body I know.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Well, that's the thing is a lot of history has
- 15:30Speaker 5: passed a lot of things have happened, and it's totally
- 15:33Speaker 5: plausible that they would find something.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Funt bones.
- 15:36Speaker 5: I worked with somebody out in on the Western Slope
- 15:40Speaker 5: and her I don't know if she ever had to
- 15:42Speaker 5: hide a body, but she was very excited to tell
- 15:45Speaker 5: me the story about how if she would hide a body,
- 15:49Speaker 5: she'd do it in the Ridgeway Reservoir because every year
- 15:52Speaker 5: it would get to like crazy low levels and then
- 15:55Speaker 5: when the snow would melt and fill it, it would
- 15:58Speaker 5: fill back up. And so she's like, by the time
- 16:00Speaker 5: I'm like the water levels would uh, you know, succeed.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Like she said, I could be out of town across
- 16:05Speaker 5: the country like Receid. I could be out of town
- 16:07Speaker 5: across the country, like in a whole nother world.
- 16:09Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah, because you get out there.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I took a hole bury it.
- 16:14Speaker 5: She was so proud to tell me about her body
- 16:17Speaker 5: hiding skills. So when this story started popping up, I
- 16:20Speaker 5: was like, same thing. I thought, I wonder if they're
- 16:22Speaker 5: going to find any bodies or just like I should
- 16:27Speaker 5: not laugh that only goodness. But yeah, ATV they found
- 16:31Speaker 5: it no problem five years later, and then we do
- 16:35Speaker 5: I doubt it man if it did, that would be
- 16:38Speaker 5: one heck of a commercial for that ATV company. Five
- 16:41Speaker 5: years and two leagues later, still pump it okay. And
- 16:45Speaker 5: then we have an update on the tatar story.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Though.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Yes, this is what I've been waiting for.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Remember we talked about how a nonprofit found out that
- 16:54Speaker 5: forty two thousand pounds of potatoes were about to be wasted.
- 16:57Speaker 5: And these were potatoes that were grown over the Midwest.
- 17:01Speaker 5: If you're not familiar potato farmers, that's been a weird
- 17:03Speaker 5: year for them because they had like a very high
- 17:06Speaker 5: yield and they can't get rid of all their potatoes.
- 17:08Speaker 5: So these forty two thousand pounds of taters were just
- 17:11Speaker 5: going to be thrown away. And this nonprofit was like, well,
- 17:13Speaker 5: we can't have that, can't have that with those potatoes.
- 17:16Speaker 5: So they brought them here to the Mile High City
- 17:19Speaker 5: yesterday and they had this big thing out in five
- 17:21Speaker 5: Points where they're like, we've got two tons of taters.
- 17:24Speaker 5: You bring bags and trucks and whatever else you need,
- 17:27Speaker 5: and you come get as many potatoes as you need.
- 17:29Speaker 5: And they were having this event from like ten until
- 17:32Speaker 5: twelve thirty one, whenever the potatoes, you know, were all done,
- 17:35Speaker 5: and they thought that they'd have some left over and
- 17:37Speaker 5: they'd have to figure out where to take that. These
- 17:41Speaker 5: potatoes went in ninety minutes. The community showed up and
- 17:46Speaker 5: they were able to save these taters that we're going
- 17:48Speaker 5: to be destroyed.
- 17:49Speaker 2: By God. Every tater needs a home.
- 17:51Speaker 5: It's such an amazing story. And you talk to the
- 17:54Speaker 5: people who went there to get those potatoes. It's not
- 17:57Speaker 5: just people who don't have food, people who were in
- 17:59Speaker 5: the citguyuation where they don't have food. It's you and me.
- 18:02Speaker 5: It's just the regular Everything is so expensive right now,
- 18:06Speaker 5: so if this is one way that you can save money,
- 18:09Speaker 5: that was people's line of thinking yesterday. And beef Man,
- 18:13Speaker 5: I heard people die, I know, or maybe some veggies
- 18:17Speaker 5: in there.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I had a full balanced.
- 18:18Speaker 5: Plate, but no, like people were talking about all the
- 18:21Speaker 5: different potato dishes they were gonna make, and I just
- 18:23Speaker 5: was like, what an exciting day. People want potato curry.
- 18:26Speaker 5: So anyway, there you go. There's my high hype.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Jerry Katy and Josh one hundred.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I do want to let you know that today is
- 18:35Speaker 2: National Milk Chocolate Day, not to be confused with National
- 18:38Speaker 2: Chocolate Milk Day, which is on September twenty seventh. But
- 18:42Speaker 2: it's National Milk Chocolate Day today.
- 18:44Speaker 5: You like milk chocolate? I do. Also, I'm starting to
- 18:49Speaker 5: get uh, I like dark chocolate. No, dark chocolate's tending
- 18:54Speaker 5: to be my favorite lately, and I always grew up
- 18:56Speaker 5: loving milk chocolate. Go for the josh.
- 19:00Speaker 4: There's a turning point and everybody's lives.
- 19:03Speaker 5: You watch birds and you like dark dark chocolate. Well,
- 19:06Speaker 5: the flavors just like well yea, and especially like because
- 19:10Speaker 5: the mouth chocolate is so much sugar, a lot of sugar.
- 19:13Speaker 5: But when you try and stay away from sugar, when
- 19:15Speaker 5: you have sugar, it's a turning point.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Well, it's just you. You grow up and you mature.
- 19:25Speaker 2: You mature into a higher quality than running around with
- 19:30Speaker 2: your Cadbury Easter Bunny. You know, you're like, I'll take
- 19:33Speaker 2: the dark chocolate. Well I can see that.
- 19:35Speaker 5: You just like chocolate in general.
- 19:38Speaker 2: What you had never mind, those eggs are so okay.
- 19:43Speaker 2: So there's a new studio too, finding that men. Uh,
- 19:47Speaker 2: if you're out there doing your getting your lift on today, bro,
- 19:51Speaker 2: there you can lift heavier and longer if you are
- 19:55Speaker 2: sniffing dark chocolate in between your sets. It will give
- 20:00Speaker 2: you a boost. Guys who sniffed dark chocolate in between
- 20:04Speaker 2: their reps completed about eighteen more reps than they did
- 20:08Speaker 2: when just smelling like plain water. Yeah, so they were
- 20:11Speaker 2: able to get ooh, they're bul gone by smelling chocolate,
- 20:14Speaker 2: which is weird to me that you'd be standing in
- 20:18Speaker 2: the gym trying to work out and you got a
- 20:20Speaker 2: chocolate bar next to you and you're huffing it in
- 20:22Speaker 2: between sets.
- 20:23Speaker 5: Yeah, it's totally weird, Like, that's not the way I
- 20:25Speaker 5: thought you were gonna go with that story.
- 20:27Speaker 2: And then they're smelling it and the chocolate's like getting
- 20:29Speaker 2: all melty on your fingers. Yeah, and then you got
- 20:31Speaker 2: brown all over your fingers and you're grabbing the freeway.
- 20:34Speaker 2: It's getting over the freeways.
- 20:36Speaker 5: Yeah, and then you drop them because all the chocolate
- 20:38Speaker 5: on your head.
- 20:39Speaker 2: You probably got a white towel, and then your brown
- 20:41Speaker 2: fingers are all over the white towel.
- 20:42Speaker 7: And people are looking at you like this guy might
- 20:45Speaker 7: have a problem.
- 20:46Speaker 5: Yeah, how are you gonna pick up any chicks home?
- 20:48Speaker 2: I swear it's chocolate. I promise you it's just chocolate.
- 20:55Speaker 5: But I'm doing more reps than ever.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Everything is so brown. But I you, it's just chocolate.
- 21:02Speaker 2: You're like, I swear to you, I haven't been eating lettuce.
- 21:08Speaker 2: I promise. Let's rave about our children really quick. I
- 21:12Speaker 2: do have a quick story about my son who went
- 21:15Speaker 2: out with a buddy last night. They disappeared on their bikes.
- 21:18Speaker 2: I don't even know where they were. But about an
- 21:21Speaker 2: hour later, I got a FaceTime thing pop up on
- 21:24Speaker 2: my phone, you know, a call FaceTime call. I was like, hey,
- 21:27Speaker 2: where are you and he's like, well, we're down at
- 21:29Speaker 2: so and So's house. Little we'll call him Eddie. We're
- 21:32Speaker 2: at Eddie's house. And Eddie is known for collecting things
- 21:37Speaker 2: around the neighborhood. He'll get into dumpsters and grab stuff out.
- 21:42Speaker 2: He'll come to my house and if I've got stuff
- 21:43Speaker 2: out by the trash, he takes it back home. So
- 21:47Speaker 2: Eddie noticed that his neighbor down the street had about
- 21:51Speaker 2: fifteen air mattresses out on the curb that said free.
- 21:56Speaker 2: So there was like, I know, Rightie was a camp
- 22:00Speaker 2: they used to campus stuff. So there was at that
- 22:03Speaker 2: point like five boys or something at the house. So
- 22:06Speaker 2: they all went and took the free air mattresses, blew
- 22:09Speaker 2: them up, and then poor Eddie's family had about fifteen
- 22:12Speaker 2: air mattresses laying all around their front lawn. And then
- 22:16Speaker 2: they found another house with like a coffee table that
- 22:19Speaker 2: was free. So they took the coffee table and took
- 22:22Speaker 2: the legs off of it, and so they just had
- 22:24Speaker 2: the flat top there of the coffee table, which they
- 22:27Speaker 2: proceeded to put on like three skateboards, and then they
- 22:31Speaker 2: took one of the giant air mattresses and bungied that
- 22:34Speaker 2: onder the skateboards and the coffee table, and they were
- 22:37Speaker 2: pushing each other around the neighborhood on it. Okay, that's brilliant.
- 22:41Speaker 2: He's like, Dad, check this out. Look what we're doing.
- 22:43Speaker 2: That's just that a guy like it was like a
- 22:46Speaker 2: king size air mattress and they're just getting there pushing
- 22:49Speaker 2: it down the street.
- 22:50Speaker 5: And I was so happy about they're playing outside.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I got off the phone and I looked at Nicole.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I was like, this is what life is a supposed
- 23:00Speaker 2: to be like as a airboy. I am so happy
- 23:03Speaker 2: about this right now that they're out jacking around, causing trouble,
- 23:08Speaker 2: picking up free things and pushing each other around on
- 23:11Speaker 2: skateboards and air mattresses.
- 23:12Speaker 5: Right now, it's funny. The things that make us proud
- 23:15Speaker 5: as parents, isn't it.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I was like, this is old school, like nineties fun here.
- 23:20Speaker 5: There's not a tablet in sight, and you know, motivity
- 23:23Speaker 5: just everywhere else. It makes me proud too. It's not
- 23:27Speaker 5: even my kid. It was so crazy.
- 23:30Speaker 2: And then they like built forts and stuff with the
- 23:31Speaker 2: other air mattresses and they were throwing each other and stuff.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I was like, this is awesome them. I just feel
- 23:36Speaker 2: bad for Eddie's parents. I've seen pictures of their garage
- 23:40Speaker 2: and there's it's just it's just trash and junk that
- 23:43Speaker 2: this kid collects.
- 23:44Speaker 5: And they're probably thinking the same thing though. You know what,
- 23:47Speaker 5: Eddie's outside a lot. Eddie used his imagination. He may
- 23:51Speaker 5: be a horder as he gets older, but it's fine.
- 23:53Speaker 2: There was one night I wandered out into the garage
- 23:55Speaker 2: because the camera went off in the garage and him
- 23:57Speaker 2: and Eddie were out there and the tailgate was down
- 23:59Speaker 2: on my truck, and I was like, what are they
- 24:01Speaker 2: doing to my truck? Oh? And I went out there
- 24:03Speaker 2: and they had found like a bunch of old clocks
- 24:05Speaker 2: and various electronics and stuff out of dumpsters and they
- 24:08Speaker 2: were taking them apart to see how they worked on
- 24:10Speaker 2: the inside and trying to rebuild them and do other things.
- 24:12Speaker 2: I was like, okay, that's just don't burn the house down.
- 24:14Speaker 2: That's so early two thousands.
- 24:16Speaker 7: Fun it is.
- 24:16Speaker 2: I love that really good thanking everybody.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Proud and it's fun so funny. My kidd was also
- 24:21Speaker 5: making me proud in a different way. But so her
- 24:23Speaker 5: birthday's coming up on Monday, right, yeah, and she's in
- 24:26Speaker 5: her you know, young twenties. So at that point, you
- 24:28Speaker 5: go out and you party, right, that's what you do
- 24:30Speaker 5: at their stage. But this new generation they're not really
- 24:34Speaker 5: doing that. They're not partying like we did. They're not
- 24:36Speaker 5: going out and wilding out with their friends.
- 24:38Speaker 2: I just saw a stat about the alcohol industry is
- 24:41Speaker 2: down like eight hundred billion dollars because kids aren't drinking
- 24:44Speaker 2: and having fun anymore.
- 24:45Speaker 5: They're not making those dumb decisions that we made in
- 24:48Speaker 5: our young twenties. And in fact, this blew my mind.
- 24:50Speaker 5: You know what kind of parties always wants to have
- 24:52Speaker 5: for this next one in her young twenties?
- 24:55Speaker 2: What is it?
- 24:56Speaker 5: A crochet party? Oh lord?
- 24:58Speaker 2: No, oh no, she's.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Gone too far.
- 25:01Speaker 5: Not even just like crochet, but like crafts in general,
- 25:05Speaker 5: and apparently this is a thing. You can go to
- 25:08Speaker 5: a place and all of your friends can come and
- 25:10Speaker 5: get like a thing a yarn, and they have crocheting
- 25:13Speaker 5: classes and so they'll teach you how to crochet, and
- 25:16Speaker 5: then they'll give you something that you can make and
- 25:18Speaker 5: within this hour and you have drinks and nibblies and stuff.
- 25:22Speaker 5: Right like, you've got stuff you want.
- 25:25Speaker 2: To get tanged. I want to see people get wasted and.
- 25:28Speaker 5: They come up with, oh my god, like a lopsided turtle.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah, ang crochet.
- 25:35Speaker 5: That's an idea, so hot.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Idea.
- 25:39Speaker 5: But there are places around us that do this already.
- 25:43Speaker 5: So I was looking up and Colorful Yarns is a
- 25:46Speaker 5: spot where you can host regular crochet. Are you getting
- 25:49Speaker 5: paid passes the Denver Craft Michaels. You can have a party, Michaels.
- 25:56Speaker 5: Nobody's paying me, but you can have up to eight
- 25:58Speaker 5: guests that Michael's and pay one hundred and fifty dollars
- 26:01Speaker 5: and they will supply all the young.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Things. Do they bring there? Do you have to bring
- 26:09Speaker 2: your own? Ni? What do you get?
- 26:11Speaker 5: You get the yarn and the crochet and then the
- 26:13Speaker 5: knitting class, like they're.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Teaching you how to do this teaches it.
- 26:18Speaker 5: They're teaching a class. I just thought this was genius
- 26:21Speaker 5: because the thing is is, you know baby, no, no,
- 26:23Speaker 5: she was having a little anxiety about like parties and
- 26:26Speaker 5: stuff because it's not really her thing, Like she doesn't
- 26:29Speaker 5: like to go out and get tanked and just like
- 26:31Speaker 5: yeah people.
- 26:34Speaker 4: People, she just like, well she's got a serious boyfriend.
- 26:36Speaker 3: There's when you have that, you don't feel the need
- 26:39Speaker 3: to go crazy.
- 26:40Speaker 5: Whatever tearing it up.
- 26:44Speaker 2: We weren't worried about, yeah, exactly, but I love that again.
- 26:50Speaker 5: It's just another one of those things that makes me
- 26:52Speaker 5: proud as a current, right, Like you want to go
- 26:54Speaker 5: out and create something versus going out and tearing things down.
- 27:00Speaker 5: Well you're all liquored up, like there's a you.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Need some air mattresses and skateboards creating something. They still
- 27:07Speaker 2: have like so as anybody party.
- 27:11Speaker 5: All of her friends are about that into it.
- 27:14Speaker 2: I feel sorry for her.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Even her guy friends are like this sounds like fun,
- 27:17Speaker 5: like okay, like that you know they really love her
- 27:21Speaker 5: and they're there to support her.
- 27:22Speaker 2: And maybe that's yeah, but all those guys are like
- 27:24Speaker 2: talking to their buddies. Dude, you're not gonna believe. But
- 27:27Speaker 2: I get to go jellous, but.
- 27:32Speaker 5: I mean, truly, it's mostly girls. I'm just you can
- 27:35Speaker 5: absolutely come. You haven't got the invite this weekend, our
- 27:39Speaker 5: next weekend.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Is there a pattern? Big middle finger?
- 27:44Speaker 5: You know what? If there is, I'm sure you'll find
- 27:46Speaker 5: a Jeremy.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Well bless her little anxiety riddle heart sounds like a
- 27:58Speaker 2: good time.
- 27:58Speaker 5: I love it.
- 27:59Speaker 2: I got a couple stories this morning, all about our
- 28:05Speaker 2: incredible seniors. How about this. There's a seventy one year
- 28:09Speaker 2: old grandma and she had to jump into a river
- 28:13Speaker 2: to rescue a man half her age, despite only learning
- 28:18Speaker 2: to swim after she retired, so she had not really
- 28:22Speaker 2: learned to swim in her youth. She waited until way
- 28:25Speaker 2: later in life to learn how to swim. And she
- 28:28Speaker 2: was standing by this river and she heard this guy
- 28:31Speaker 2: screaming for help, and without hesitation, she entered the river
- 28:35Speaker 2: using a life preserver to reach the man who resisted help. Actually,
- 28:39Speaker 2: which is kind of weird. I don't know if he
- 28:41Speaker 2: was like, no, I'm not I don't you know, I
- 28:43Speaker 2: don't want to harm you, or I don't want to
- 28:44Speaker 2: bring you under because you're a little old lady. Anyway,
- 28:47Speaker 2: she ended up overpowering the guy and pulled him to shore.
- 28:52Speaker 2: She admitted she was exhausted, and her quote was, it
- 28:57Speaker 2: was not a big deal for me. I did not
- 28:59Speaker 2: tell my family for the that they would worry about me.
- 29:02Speaker 2: But there is some surveillance footage and she was identified
- 29:06Speaker 2: and then her brother recognized her, and then he scolded her.
- 29:08Speaker 2: She said. Video went viral of this little old lady
- 29:13Speaker 2: wading into the water to save a man who was
- 29:16Speaker 2: getting pulled downstream.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Oh. I love that she didn't frag about it either.
- 29:20Speaker 5: So many people just like immediately post their good doings
- 29:23Speaker 5: and she's like, no, it's fine, I say.
- 29:25Speaker 2: She immediately died sadly passed away.
- 29:29Speaker 5: To stop it.
- 29:31Speaker 6: I went in that water and I got him and
- 29:33Speaker 6: he was how A powered him, bunched and took him
- 29:40Speaker 6: back to the show. I said, sure, you need to
- 29:43Speaker 6: learn how to swim.
- 29:44Speaker 7: I can't be doing this. I'm shaving you.
- 29:47Speaker 2: On years old.
- 29:48Speaker 5: You should say thank you.
- 29:50Speaker 7: I can't get in the water like this all the time. Show.
- 29:53Speaker 7: You just need to be more responsible. And then I died.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Stop and then how about this? I love the name.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Kermit and Betty of Saint Cloud, Minnesota recently marked their
- 30:05Speaker 2: eightieth wedding anniversary, surrounded by family at their daughter's home.
- 30:09Speaker 2: They are both ninety nine years old. They share two children,
- 30:13Speaker 2: five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Relationship began as teenagers living across the street from each other.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Kermit enlisted in the Navy during World War Two.
- 30:27Speaker 7: Yeah, I think all talking.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I'll Jordan the Navy. He did survive a Kami Kazi
- 30:33Speaker 2: strike and they got married afterward. The story goes on
- 30:37Speaker 2: and on and on and on and on. Anyway, they
- 30:39Speaker 2: did reach out to Kermit, and his actual quote is,
- 30:42Speaker 2: we still love each other. Oh, we still loving each
- 30:45Speaker 2: oldren miss Betty, Miss Betty, I love you, Betty. Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Can you imagine being with the same person for eighty years? No? No,
- 30:55Speaker 2: I would love to pick their brains though.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Those are people that you just want to sit down
- 30:58Speaker 3: and talk with them because the stories that they don't know.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Tell me what secrets? Why?
- 31:02Speaker 2: Because they'll be like, what, oh, come on, I'm sorry
- 31:06Speaker 2: what you say trying to.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Pick your brains, sir? I don't care for the rain.
- 31:13Speaker 5: How long have you been married?
- 31:15Speaker 2: Not not that Harry, thank you. I'm not picking their
- 31:18Speaker 2: brain at all. You're crazy, Josh, grab your phone.
- 31:23Speaker 1: The sun starts now with Fast five.
- 31:25Speaker 9: I'm gonna be happy to hear mom on the radio.
- 31:27Speaker 5: How fast can you be?
- 31:28Speaker 10: You play the game?
- 31:29Speaker 1: You're at the end of the show.
- 31:30Speaker 5: It's time. It's time to play Fast five oh three
- 31:34Speaker 5: six nine one sixteen forty nine.
- 31:36Speaker 1: With Jeremy, Katie and John.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Come on, it's geter down. It's Fast five time. We
- 31:42Speaker 2: would love to have you on the air with us,
- 31:45Speaker 2: especially if you've never played before, So be brave, give
- 31:48Speaker 2: us a call. I'm gonna tell you right now. You
- 31:50Speaker 2: know school's not in session, so it's probably gonna be
- 31:53Speaker 2: a little easier for you to get in when we
- 31:56Speaker 2: don't have a bazillion people in carpool lines trying to
- 31:59Speaker 2: call in. But here's our number if you want to
- 32:01Speaker 2: be brave, three O three six nine one one mix,
- 32:05Speaker 2: which is three O three six nine one sixteen forty nine.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Three O three six nine one sixteen forty nine. We'll
- 32:13Speaker 2: get you on the air, get to know you. I'll
- 32:15Speaker 2: toss a category category at you and then start a
- 32:19Speaker 2: ten second timer. Within those ten seconds, you gotta give
- 32:22Speaker 2: me five things that have to do with that topic.
- 32:25Speaker 2: That's why we named it fast five, get it? I

- 32:58Speaker 2: the cat's going, that's the worst sound.
- 33:03Speaker 5: Stuff's about to happen.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Do I ever tell you about the time that we
- 33:05Speaker 2: had the cat doing that on the bed in the
- 33:08Speaker 2: middle of the night, and I woke up, and I
- 33:09Speaker 2: leaped out, and I grabbed the cat and I swung
- 33:11Speaker 2: her around to get her into the bathroom on the
- 33:14Speaker 2: harder floor, you know, not carpet. And as I swung
- 33:17Speaker 2: her around, she went all the way across the wall.
- 33:20Speaker 5: Oh ah, that's gonna make me.
- 33:24Speaker 2: That's a kiddy cat fail right there. It is.
- 33:28Speaker 5: Oh my goodnesses, he never know what you're gonna ask
- 33:30Speaker 5: you you really don't.
- 33:32Speaker 2: All five places? You don't want your cat to throw
- 33:34Speaker 2: it random. People keep calling and hanging up. Stop it.

- 34:32Speaker 11: I got some Starbucks home homebrew.
- 34:36Speaker 2: All right, I'm mad at that cream and sugar. You
- 34:38Speaker 2: take it?
- 34:39Speaker 5: Black W's coffee.
- 34:40Speaker 1: No, No, no black.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Oh wow, this guy is tough, straight up. You're hardcore man.
- 34:45Speaker 2: I never I can never understand people who just drink
- 34:48Speaker 2: their coffee black. Yeah, it's too harsh for me.
- 34:51Speaker 5: No, a little bit of sweeteners all the taste that way.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, he smoked cigarettes. No, okay, I just
- 34:59Speaker 2: always envisioned a guy with a cigarette and his drinking
- 35:01Speaker 2: his black coffee. Give me a couple of clocks.
- 35:05Speaker 7: About his wife of thirty years.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Mortgaging, my mortgaging, my kids. They're not talking to me anymore. Yeah,

- 40:00Speaker 10: to work right now.
- 40:01Speaker 9: Where he works that advanced exercise. He's, you know, helping
- 40:08Speaker 9: a stepdad a little hair over the summer.
- 40:10Speaker 11: And so nice.
- 40:11Speaker 5: You know.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Is that like a is it gym equipment or a
- 40:14Speaker 2: gym or what is that?
- 40:15Speaker 10: Yes, Jim equipment.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Equipment, All right, he's selling ellipticals. Good for him, Yep,
- 40:21Speaker 2: that's going to be a pretty good gig.
- 40:23Speaker 10: Actually, yeah it is. It's cool and he likes to
- 40:27Speaker 10: work out, so he gets to get more familiar with things.
- 40:30Speaker 1: You know.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Oh, that's not bad at all. One of the best
- 40:32Speaker 2: jobs I ever had was I worked at a gym
- 40:35Speaker 2: for like three years or something. That was the best gig.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Just met so many great people, free workouts, and I
- 40:40Speaker 2: learned a lot about my body. Awesome.
- 40:45Speaker 10: That's always good.
- 40:46Speaker 2: To know.
- 40:47Speaker 5: Yeah, he's always so happy to tell us too.
- 40:53Speaker 2: All Right, I need I don't need actors or movies
- 40:58Speaker 2: or anything like that with it one. I just need traits,
- 41:03Speaker 2: any sort of five traits, appearances, powers, anything, five traits
- 41:10Speaker 2: that have to do with vampires.
- 41:12Speaker 9: Go with umpires.
- 41:18Speaker 10: I don't know, Honestly, I don't know.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Really, fangs and drinking your blood is big garleg I'm
- 41:29Speaker 2: gonna hold on to Michelle. That was really bad.
- 41:33Speaker 13: That was really bad.
- 41:34Speaker 2: That was so bad, Michelle, Traits that have to do
- 41:39Speaker 2: with vampires.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Yeah, like characteristics you know.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Well, we're gonna reuse it though, I'm not gonna tell
- 41:45Speaker 2: you anymore.
- 41:45Speaker 10: That was so bad. I'm so sorry.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Again, It's all right. It's fun. It's very embarrassing for you, but.
- 41:52Speaker 10: It was fun getting through to you guys. You guys
- 41:54Speaker 10: every day. You guys are amazing.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Oh you're so right. I love you so much. Michelle,
- 41:59Speaker 2: You're okay.
- 42:01Speaker 9: Bye, by.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Liz un will you win this stupid game? For God's sakes,
- 42:12Speaker 2: I got to go to the bathroom.
- 42:14Speaker 13: Well, I was hoping you were saving the vampire one
- 42:17Speaker 13: for me.
- 42:17Speaker 2: I got it so bad.
- 42:19Speaker 5: That is a good one.
- 42:22Speaker 2: That was so easy you know a lot about vampires.
- 42:24Speaker 13: Huh, I don't, but everybody knows something about vampire.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I know, right, you know.
- 42:31Speaker 5: I don't think you said the question.
- 42:33Speaker 2: It is the problem. But you played before, Liz. I
- 42:35Speaker 2: feel like you've played before.
- 42:36Speaker 13: I played a lot of times, Jeremy. I really want
- 42:38Speaker 13: to win. I need to win for my daughter.
- 42:40Speaker 2: So you failed many, many times every time. All right, well,
- 42:45Speaker 2: this one might sound familiar to you. Are you ready?
- 42:50Speaker 5: No?
- 42:50Speaker 2: But yeah, all right, in ten seconds, I need the
- 42:54Speaker 2: names of five different jewelry stores.
- 42:57Speaker 13: Go change your at Hellsburg, Coles, Target, J Pennies, Fine
- 43:11Speaker 13: has a.
- 43:12Speaker 2: We're going to accept Target as a jewelry.
- 43:14Speaker 5: Store, Scott. I don't know what jewelry.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Store you wonder get your engagement ring.
- 43:22Speaker 5: I buy most of my earrings from Target, though, I
- 43:24Speaker 5: can tell.
- 43:28Speaker 10: Jere will you please blame me?
- 43:31Speaker 2: I didn't even have to ask you, Queen, please say
- 43:36Speaker 2: please say please one more time? Please? Okay, now you don't.
- 43:46Speaker 2: You don't have to call in ever again.
- 43:48Speaker 8: That is.
- 43:51Speaker 10: Never win anything.
- 43:52Speaker 13: You guys are so amazing.
- 43:55Speaker 2: And you're so right. You're so right.
- 43:58Speaker 5: You did all the hard work.
- 43:59Speaker 2: You good today, Liz with your JC panty jewelry. All right,
- 44:04Speaker 2: So I'm gonna put you on hold. We're gonna come back,
- 44:06Speaker 2: tell you all about your prize. You're gonna go to
- 44:08Speaker 2: a concert at Red Rocks, Jaredy, Katie and Josh one hundred. Well,
- 44:15Speaker 2: I want a puke right now. I walked back the
- 44:21Speaker 2: past the sports station a little bit ago, and their
- 44:23Speaker 2: sports guys are and they're doing their little sports stuff,
- 44:26Speaker 2: points and stats and points and stats, hit nose balls
- 44:29Speaker 2: with the baseball bats. And Mark Moser is over there him.
- 44:33Speaker 2: He's a good guy. He's one of our friends. Knuckles
- 44:37Speaker 2: deep in his nose. Oh no, he is going to town.
- 44:40Speaker 2: He's the same one who did the farmers blow with
- 44:42Speaker 2: you and we left that thing. He's got a boogie
- 44:45Speaker 2: feed put a little boogie in it, and then he
- 44:53Speaker 2: just walked by. I guarantee you he's not walking to
- 44:55Speaker 2: the bathroom to wash his hands. Was he so right
- 44:56Speaker 2: in sunglasses inside? I don't know, but he was knuckles
- 45:01Speaker 2: deep in there.
- 45:03Speaker 5: I want to see you look at him.
- 45:05Speaker 2: No, But I mean, I've got water out of the
- 45:09Speaker 2: fridger in the kitchen and I went eime, I made
- 45:12Speaker 2: it physical. Get any other guys sitting there there's they're
- 45:16Speaker 2: just sitting there. They don't even notice.
- 45:18Speaker 5: Normal Tuesday. This is what happens.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Nicole Vardy's in there today too, special day, you know what.
- 45:26Speaker 5: I just like they are at home. They feel comfortable
- 45:29Speaker 5: in that studio so much so that everything's blocked out.
- 45:32Speaker 5: He didn't know you were here. He's just like, I
- 45:35Speaker 5: am so comfortable, my hand is in my face.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Thanks for hanging out with us. You get some riveting
- 45:41Speaker 2: content this morning with Jeremy Katie and Josh Denvers makes
- 45:45Speaker 2: one hundred. I hope you stick around. At about a twenty,
- 45:48Speaker 2: we're going to read a listener email that came in
- 45:51Speaker 2: a lady who snapped. Oh she snapped, but it's who
- 45:56Speaker 2: she snapped at that is kind of freaking her out
- 45:58Speaker 2: a little bit. So we'll give you all the details
- 46:00Speaker 2: on that coming up right around eight twenty with jk Ja,
- 46:04Speaker 2: we got a little fat America for you. There's some
- 46:08Speaker 2: McDonald's hacks out this morning, coming from somebody who's to
- 46:12Speaker 2: work at Mickey D's. She is saying, if you want
- 46:16Speaker 2: fresh fries, not French fries, but fresh fries with your order,
- 46:20Speaker 2: all you have to do is say, make me some
- 46:23Speaker 2: fries with no salt, and they've got to make a
- 46:25Speaker 2: special batch for you to get fresh fries, but then
- 46:28Speaker 2: you don't get the salt on them.
- 46:29Speaker 5: And not only that, but this has been a trick
- 46:31Speaker 5: that's been going on for a long time.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Oh.
- 46:33Speaker 5: Having worked at McDonald's when I was younger, I will
- 46:36Speaker 5: tell you when people ask for that immediately makes everyone
- 46:40Speaker 5: mad and they don't go out of their way to
- 46:42Speaker 5: make sure. I'm not saying every McDonald's.
- 46:44Speaker 2: You know what, I would do.
- 46:45Speaker 5: McDonald's fine, but no.
- 46:46Speaker 2: I would take the fries and I would just lick
- 46:48Speaker 2: each fry and I would lick the salt off. Not
- 46:52Speaker 2: that they do that. This is just me personally, if
- 46:54Speaker 2: I was working at a random fast food dress exactly,
- 46:57Speaker 2: just lick the salt off.
- 46:57Speaker 5: But be careful with that one.
- 46:59Speaker 2: The poor man Big Mac. They say, if you order
- 47:01Speaker 2: a Mac double with no ketchup or mustard, but add
- 47:05Speaker 2: the Big Mac sauce and shredded lettuce, it's cheaper than
- 47:08Speaker 2: an actual Big Mac.
- 47:09Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 47:11Speaker 2: The multiple orders hack. I guarantee you they didn't have
- 47:14Speaker 2: this when Katie was there. It's an app thing, so
- 47:17Speaker 2: you have to have multiple accounts that you circulate through.
- 47:20Speaker 2: So you log out, order the deal, you log back out,
- 47:24Speaker 2: log in with a new name an email, get the
- 47:27Speaker 2: deal again, log out, log in with a new nail.
- 47:31Speaker 5: It's too much for some McNuggets to do.
- 47:35Speaker 2: You have.
- 47:35Speaker 5: Wow.
- 47:37Speaker 2: So the last thing isn't really a hack, but the
- 47:39Speaker 2: just there's a difference between the folded egg and the
- 47:42Speaker 2: rounded egg. I guess there's a pre made folded egg
- 47:46Speaker 2: that they put on their biscuits and make griddles, So
- 47:48Speaker 2: if you want that one, you have to request it.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Other than that, the rounded egg is literally a fresh
- 47:54Speaker 2: cracked egg that goes on the mcmuffins.
- 47:56Speaker 5: Why wouldn't you want the fresh cracked egg with fresh crack.
- 47:59Speaker 5: That's why I like the mcmuffins and McDonald's breakfast sandwiches,
- 48:02Speaker 5: because that's a real egg right there.
- 48:04Speaker 2: Who's the monsters ordering the folded ey? Yeah, coming from
- 48:08Speaker 2: the factory.
- 48:09Speaker 5: Why crack me a real egg?
- 48:11Speaker 2: Yeah, Ronald, I want to meat the chicken. Yeah, make
- 48:15Speaker 2: me a sandwich, grimace. You had some other hacks when
- 48:19Speaker 2: it comes to cooking, too, don't you.
- 48:20Speaker 5: Yeah, there's a you know a lot of pro chefs
- 48:22Speaker 5: out there giving tips as far as eating at home
- 48:26Speaker 5: and why A lot of times when you make something
- 48:28Speaker 5: at home, it doesn't taste the same as if you
- 48:30Speaker 5: ordered it in a restaurant. Meat is a big thing
- 48:33Speaker 5: when it comes to that, but all around general preparing too.
- 48:36Speaker 5: So one of the biggest tips here is to have
- 48:39Speaker 5: everything ready when it is time to cook, because that
- 48:42Speaker 5: will throw you off more than anything. If you have,
- 48:44Speaker 5: say your burger in the pan, or your meat or whatever,
- 48:47Speaker 5: and then you you need veggies to put in there,
- 48:50Speaker 5: you didn't cut up the veggiees, so now you're cutting
- 48:51Speaker 5: ve as the meat is cooking, You're gonna overcook that,
- 48:56Speaker 5: you know what I mean. Like to have everything ready
- 48:58Speaker 5: before you go into prepareing the recipe. That is such
- 49:01Speaker 5: a power move that chefs use and it makes a
- 49:04Speaker 5: big difference.
- 49:04Speaker 2: You know why. I like doing that too, because I
- 49:07Speaker 2: feel like I'm on a TV show where I'm the
- 49:08Speaker 2: chef and I'll have my bowl of peppers, my bowl
- 49:11Speaker 2: of onions, my bowl of whatever, and it's all lined
- 49:14Speaker 2: up Bobby or whatever. I know, I'm an emerald.
- 49:20Speaker 5: Yes, you have your spices in little individual rabbits. You're
- 49:24Speaker 5: like adding the paprika like your professional I know. I
- 49:29Speaker 5: love that too. I also love. They have a term
- 49:32Speaker 5: in cooking. It's called don't crowd the mushrooms. Okay, okay,
- 49:35Speaker 5: And it's a really big tip because when you do
- 49:38Speaker 5: put too much in a pan, okay, it changes things
- 49:42Speaker 5: when it comes to the science of the cooking. You
- 49:44Speaker 5: are steaming instead of uh, instead of browning. It's a
- 49:49Speaker 5: big deal. And so it changes.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Crowd ushrooms of the dish.
- 49:54Speaker 5: So if you even don't crowd the mushrooms, but even
- 49:58Speaker 5: if it's as much as scrambling and egg, you don't
- 50:00Speaker 5: want to put too much egg in the pan because
- 50:02Speaker 5: again the surface area and the heat.
- 50:04Speaker 2: Yeah, big deal, amateur crowding the mushrooms Again, look at
- 50:09Speaker 2: you crowded the mushrooms. To my wife, she'd be like,
- 50:12Speaker 2: what the hell are You should.
- 50:13Speaker 5: Just work it in a conversation today.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Just don't crowd the mushrooms. I'm gonna work that in.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Like if I'm at water World standing in line and
- 50:19Speaker 2: people are all up in my business and don't.
- 50:21Speaker 5: Crowd the mushrooms. You sit here in the building, like,
- 50:24Speaker 5: can we do that?
- 50:26Speaker 2: Get away with it.
- 50:28Speaker 5: Let's let's do you know.
- 50:29Speaker 2: We sit at those little tables at the All Stars
- 50:31Speaker 2: and people come sit around us because we're so popular,
- 50:33Speaker 2: we can be like, don't crowd the mushrooms. Yeah, then
- 50:36Speaker 2: we'll get called.
- 50:37Speaker 5: H is weird again? Got one more. This is the
- 50:40Speaker 5: big one, and this is about your meat. Kay, You
- 50:43Speaker 5: got to take care of your meat.
- 50:45Speaker 2: This is the biggest onis.
- 50:49Speaker 5: This is the biggest difference when it comes to home
- 50:50Speaker 5: cooking as opposed to going out to a restaurant. When
- 50:54Speaker 5: you get a steak, right, a lot of times that
- 50:56Speaker 5: steak isn't gonna taste as good as if you order
- 50:58Speaker 5: it from a restaurant. And the big reason is because
- 51:01Speaker 5: you're not resting your protein. Gotta rest your protein. Rest
- 51:05Speaker 5: your only after a lot of people think this is
- 51:08Speaker 5: just after you cook it. You need to make sure
- 51:11Speaker 5: it rests for five minutes or so so the juice
- 51:14Speaker 5: is distribute evenly. You need to do that. That's a protein.
- 51:17Speaker 2: That is something a lot of people miss. Yes, you
- 51:20Speaker 2: got to rest your meat. When I do my five
- 51:22Speaker 2: hour six hour tri tip on the smoker, I bring
- 51:25Speaker 2: it inside, wrap and foil, and then I wrap like
- 51:28Speaker 2: two or three hand towels. Then you put it in
- 51:32Speaker 2: a cooler, close the lid, and let it sit in
- 51:35Speaker 2: there for about thirty minutes you have to. And then
- 51:37Speaker 2: I look at the children and I go, don't you
- 51:40Speaker 2: the meat is resting.
- 51:41Speaker 5: No, it's such a big deal because you have to
- 51:44Speaker 5: take that meat out of the fridge. You can't just
- 51:47Speaker 5: take a chicken breast from the fridge and slap it
- 51:49Speaker 5: in a pan.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Amateur move.
- 51:51Speaker 5: A lot of people do that, Josh, And honestly, when
- 51:54Speaker 5: you want to that, you know you When you take
- 51:56Speaker 5: it straight from the cold fridge into the pan, it
- 52:00Speaker 5: for cooks the outside before the center ever catches chicken.
- 52:04Speaker 5: It's a big, unevenly dry cooks piece of meat.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Nobody likes that, Nobody wants to drive me.
- 52:09Speaker 5: Sure, you take it out of the fridge for at
- 52:10Speaker 5: least fifteen minutes before you cook it. Yeah, let that
- 52:13Speaker 5: baby sit there and rest, contemplate its feelings, and then
- 52:16Speaker 5: you throw it in the pan. And then when you're
- 52:18Speaker 5: done there, let it rest.
- 52:19Speaker 2: You can make it your be a lot of.
- 52:21Speaker 5: Resting when it comes to your meat.
- 52:23Speaker 2: So you might tell my wife that today too. Don't
- 52:27Speaker 2: crowd the mushrooms. I'm resting my meat. She's gonna love
- 52:30Speaker 2: you so turned on.
- 52:34Speaker 5: Be careful, honey, careful the meat.
- 52:37Speaker 2: I'm not a machine. All right, since we're talking about food,
- 52:41Speaker 2: I got one more food related story for you guys, okay,
- 52:44Speaker 2: and it truly I was not surprised by this. It's like,
- 52:48Speaker 2: why did it take this long for the fad diet
- 52:51Speaker 2: to kick in? A lot of doctors are out there
- 52:54Speaker 2: this morning. You know, you all are trying to lose
- 52:57Speaker 2: weight and all, but they say you should not be
- 53:01Speaker 2: doing the diarrhea lettuce diet right now that believe it
- 53:07Speaker 2: or not, there are a lot of posts out there
- 53:09Speaker 2: right now encouraging people. I mean, I'm sure these are
- 53:12Speaker 2: TikTokers or whatever real brain acts, you know. The doctors
- 53:16Speaker 2: on TikTok they're saying, if you want to lose a
- 53:19Speaker 2: ton of weight in a hurry, that you need to
- 53:21Speaker 2: go out and just eat lettuce like crazy in hopes
- 53:25Speaker 2: that you'll get that cyclospora or whatever it's called, and
- 53:29Speaker 2: it's called cyclospora skinny. Right now, they're encouraging people to
- 53:32Speaker 2: get out, eat a bunch of lettuce, blow your bowels
- 53:36Speaker 2: out essentially, and just drain yourself of fat and any
- 53:39Speaker 2: sort of nutrients and you'll drop two or three dress sizes.
- 53:44Speaker 5: Oh and hate your life of it. Everyone else I've
- 53:49Speaker 5: talked to who has had this or experienced it. It
- 53:53Speaker 5: is like non ending.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Yeah, the doctors are saying, you're gonna lose so much
- 53:58Speaker 2: of your electrolytes in your body. You're gonna have muscle cramps,
- 54:01Speaker 2: You're gonna have headaches, you're gonna have dehydration. They say,
- 54:06Speaker 2: you get to a state where your heart just can't
- 54:08Speaker 2: pump enough blood because there's no water in there, because
- 54:11Speaker 2: you're draining yourself. You can literally die from this.
- 54:15Speaker 5: But I'm skinny, but oh my god, I'm.
- 54:18Speaker 2: So good in my casket.
- 54:20Speaker 5: No to me that people think that's okay.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Hey, you know, are you shocked by this at all?
- 54:25Speaker 12: Though?
- 54:26Speaker 2: That the fat diet, This fat diet has blown up
- 54:28Speaker 2: on TikTok.
- 54:29Speaker 5: We've had crazier diets for sure, but this one just
- 54:32Speaker 5: seems like a little unnecessary. Like you can totally avoid
- 54:36Speaker 5: this and just forgot.
- 54:38Speaker 2: God's sakes, get on a treadmill and maybe.
- 54:39Speaker 5: Fasting would work for you. I know a lot of
- 54:41Speaker 5: people who swear by that. You know, yeah, not me,
- 54:45Speaker 5: but a lot of people.
- 54:47Speaker 2: If you're thinking about it, if you've seen it, probably
- 54:50Speaker 2: talk to your kids about this. Honestly, don't do the diarrhea,
- 54:54Speaker 2: lettus diet. Okay, come on the.
- 54:56Speaker 5: Fact that you just had to say those were right.
- 54:59Speaker 2: I never thought I would have to say, just let's
- 55:01Speaker 2: be grown ups. Okay. Kind of a lengthy message that
- 55:04Speaker 2: came in from Mel. I'll try to zip through it here.
- 55:07Speaker 2: But Mel says, hey, guys, I've been going to the
- 55:08Speaker 2: same hairstylist for about seven years. The best I've ever had.
- 55:12Speaker 2: The problem is is she never stops talking. Couple she
- 55:17Speaker 2: is Katie her hairs. A couple of A couple of
- 55:21Speaker 2: weeks ago, I had one of those days where everything
- 55:23Speaker 2: that could go wrong did and I had a pounding migraine,
- 55:26Speaker 2: hadn't slept much the night before, and I was mentally
- 55:29Speaker 2: exhausted and bloated. Oh boy, to TMI. All I wanted
- 55:33Speaker 2: to do was sit in the chair, close my eyes
- 55:35Speaker 2: and enjoy two hours of piece in quiet. But instead,
- 55:38Speaker 2: the second I sat down, it was NonStop conversation. How's work,
- 55:42Speaker 2: how's your husband? Did you book that vacation? What are
- 55:44Speaker 2: your weekend plans? She goes. I just didn't have the
- 55:47Speaker 2: energy for it, and after about twenty minutes I snapped
- 55:51Speaker 2: at her and said, can you please just stop talking?
- 55:54Speaker 2: She laughed a little like I was joking. I said, no, seriously,
- 55:57Speaker 2: I just need some quiet today, she said, Then the
- 56:01Speaker 2: entire salon got quiet.
- 56:02Speaker 5: Oh no.
- 56:03Speaker 2: She didn't say another word for the rest of my appointment,
- 56:06Speaker 2: and for almost two hours. It was one of the
- 56:08Speaker 2: most uncomfortable experiences I had ever had. When she was finished,
- 56:11Speaker 2: I apologized. She quietly replied, it's fine, but I could
- 56:16Speaker 2: tell it wasn't. Now it's about a month later and
- 56:18Speaker 2: I called to make my next appointment. Usually she's upbeat
- 56:21Speaker 2: and happy to talk, but this time she sounded cold,
- 56:25Speaker 2: and I got off the phone as quick as possible,
- 56:27Speaker 2: and I honestly nervous. She said, m this is the
- 56:31Speaker 2: part I thought about before I read this, But she says,
- 56:33Speaker 2: I know this probably sounds ridiculous, but this woman has scissors, razors, bleach,
- 56:38Speaker 2: and my hair in her hands. I keep wondering if
- 56:41Speaker 2: she's still mad enough that she's going to accidentally cut
- 56:44Speaker 2: my banks too short, or take off more than I
- 56:46Speaker 2: asked for, or give me a style that I didn't
- 56:49Speaker 2: quite want. She says. My husband thinks I'm crazy, and
- 56:53Speaker 2: he says a professional would never risk a reputation over
- 56:57Speaker 2: one awkward interaction. My sister says, canceled the appointment immediately. Kind,
- 57:02Speaker 2: don't you lose trust in someone who's responsible for your appearance?
- 57:05Speaker 2: It's over. That's a solid line. She goes, So, guys,
- 57:09Speaker 2: what should I do? Maybe you can use this on
- 57:10Speaker 2: your show. Do I keep the appointment, apologize, trust everything
- 57:14Speaker 2: will be fine? Or should I find a new stylist
- 57:17Speaker 2: because I'll spend the entire appointment wondering if she's about
- 57:20Speaker 2: to get a little revenge. Love the show. Hope this
- 57:23Speaker 2: makes the air. And that's from sweet Mel with her
- 57:27Speaker 2: roots showing right now, she's like to sound off about
- 57:32Speaker 2: Mel's situation with her stylist. What should she do? Phone
- 57:36Speaker 2: lines are open three oh three six nine one mix
- 57:40Speaker 2: three oh three six nine one sixteen forty nine. I
- 57:44Speaker 2: feel bad for her, I really do. I do too.
- 57:46Speaker 2: I mean she's stress and for sure well and.
- 57:48Speaker 5: When it comes to your hair and as you just
- 57:51Speaker 5: said in that email, your appearance, I mean you really
- 57:55Speaker 5: get kind of anxious about that. You don't want to
- 57:57Speaker 5: make someone mad who's in charge of that?
- 57:59Speaker 2: I know, especially for as much money and time is
- 58:02Speaker 2: involved in ladies' haircuts.
- 58:03Speaker 5: Hundreds of dollars. I am not kiddies.
- 58:06Speaker 3: Well, and Katie, I just go back to when you
- 58:08Speaker 3: tried to hair go blonde a little bit and how
- 58:12Speaker 3: much it affected you when you didn't love it when
- 58:14Speaker 3: you didn't and it's that's months and months and months
- 58:17Speaker 3: of regrowth and trying to fix it.
- 58:19Speaker 2: And she's a professional who's making money and she doesn't
- 58:21Speaker 2: want anyone to bad mouth her.
- 58:23Speaker 4: You know, No, you're right, she's accident.
- 58:25Speaker 5: You're right, like when something goes wrong with your hair,
- 58:28Speaker 5: like so you don't want to upset that person. But
- 58:31Speaker 5: for me, like this whole situation, I guess it's just
- 58:34Speaker 5: because I talk for a living. I like talking to
- 58:37Speaker 5: people for the most part. But when I'm in those
- 58:39Speaker 5: situations of you know, getting my hair done or getting
- 58:43Speaker 5: my nails done, when it's silent, it's awkward to me,
- 58:47Speaker 5: Like I want to talk to the person just to
- 58:50Speaker 5: be the you know, I feel like they need someone.
- 58:53Speaker 2: To talk to as well, talk.
- 58:56Speaker 5: Here to say. I just feel like I'm doing my part.
- 59:01Speaker 5: The us come in to play a part absolutely real.
- 59:06Speaker 2: Right now, to save we enjoy the quiet, So you
- 59:10Speaker 2: honestly don't trust yourself out over that. You're fine being
- 59:13Speaker 2: quiet in the morning, off the air. Yeah, don't even worry.
- 59:18Speaker 5: You know why we are fine. Any other time I
- 59:21Speaker 5: would take that, but now you know, you need that banter.
- 59:25Speaker 5: You need to be able to feel like you are,
- 59:28Speaker 5: you know, in a situation where you trust that person
- 59:31Speaker 5: they trust you. You're both playing a part. I feel
- 59:33Speaker 5: like and if you're not going into that situation ready
- 59:36Speaker 5: to play your part.
- 59:36Speaker 3: Well, and I feel like you, Yeah, Katie, You and
- 59:39Speaker 3: I both have our moms as hairdressers who have done
- 59:42Speaker 3: this for years and years and years. And I feel
- 59:45Speaker 3: like the hairdresser, especially a woman, is like you're confident,
- 59:50Speaker 3: like you can tell them things you've been going to
- 59:52Speaker 3: them for years. I know my mom has stories for
- 59:55Speaker 3: days about things that people have told her while they're
- 59:58Speaker 3: getting their hair did up.
- 59:59Speaker 2: So they're the therapists, they really are, right, Yeah, So
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: what should mel do?
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: You?
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Guys? I know there's a lot of ladies listening who
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: has stylists that they're pretty solid with. What if you
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: snapped at one of them told them just please stop talking.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: I need some quiet today. Did you get a couple
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: of messages Kanie? Yeah, Well we definitely text line blew
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: up on this.
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely, and from I think this is Cindy. She said,
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: I have a really good relationship with my hairdresser, Like
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: we hang out outside of my hair appointment, So maybe
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: it's because of that. But if I'm having a bad
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: day or not feeling well and not up to talking,
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: I just talked to them beforehand, so it's like I'm
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: usually a peppi polite person, but they'll give me a
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: pass if I just need some quiet that day. So
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: that may be because of her.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: Relations good advice for the next time exactly because pull
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: her opposite curiosity texted in Nope, I could never go
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: back every time she picked up the scissors, I'd be flinching.
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: Just take that l and find a new stylist.
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, well, and I mean like a few of
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: those as well, like we got. I think it's a
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: good move for her to cancel or move the appointment.
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: I that when you go to a business that has
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: to protect their reputation, they probably won't run it on purpose,
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: but it won't be an enjoyable experience. So I think
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: that's a good tip as well, Like if you've already
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: ruined it, I don't know if there's any going.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Back, right, And that's the ones I pulled off the
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: text line. I had one, two, three, four that I
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: read that was essentially move on on every single one
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: of them. This one said I once told my nail
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: tick that I hated my nails, and I was trying
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: to be honest. She burst into tears. I feel awful
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: about it. Now I drive thirty minutes to a different
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: salon because I can't face her. Yeah, you got to
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: move on. Somebody else wrote in and said I feel
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: bad for the stylist. Imagine spending years building a relationship
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: with someone and then basically getting told to shut up.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: I would question every future visit. I would run from
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: that style.
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: And I like that the point of view from the stylist,
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: like they that can't make them feel good at all,
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: you know, jeez?
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: Yeah, really quick. I do want to talk to Clara,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: who wrote in Hi Clara, or called in high Clari, Hi, Hi, Hi.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: What do you think Mel should do about this situation?
- 1:02:04Speaker 9: I think I think she can still go through her hairstylist,
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: but I do think both options kind of leave out that,
- 1:02:10Speaker 9: like Mel's not being accountable for what she did. It
- 1:02:14Speaker 9: was rude of her to snap at her hairstylist like that,
- 1:02:18Speaker 9: and I think that she owes her an apology. You know,
- 1:02:20Speaker 9: I think it's totally okay. I get migraines too, so
- 1:02:22Speaker 9: I totally understand that. But I think going into that appointment,
- 1:02:27Speaker 9: I think had she just communicated that, like, hey, I'm
- 1:02:29Speaker 9: not feeling super great today, is it okay? If we
- 1:02:32Speaker 9: just kind of sit in silence, I think that would
- 1:02:33Speaker 9: have been fine. Instead of like chucking it out for
- 1:02:36Speaker 9: twenty minutes and then snapping. I think that wasn't great.
- 1:02:39Speaker 9: And so at the very least she owes her an apology,
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: and yeah, like if she's been going to her for
- 1:02:44Speaker 9: that long and they've built a relationship, like she kind
- 1:02:47Speaker 9: of owes her like repairing that relationship too. And also
- 1:02:50Speaker 9: it's like she's a professional. I think if you apologize
- 1:02:53Speaker 9: and go back, like maybe bring her a knife, stiff
- 1:02:55Speaker 9: basket or something.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's exactly what I was gonna say.
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: That's a good movie.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: I was like, this has been seven year relationship, you're
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: both adults. Come in with one of those edible baskets
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: that the fruit the flowers made out of the fruit edible,
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: bring an edible arrangement and a Starbucks gift card and
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: say I am so sorry that I was bloated and angry.
- 1:03:17Speaker 9: Explain what happened, and then I think she would understand
- 1:03:19Speaker 9: and say, like, no, it's totally okay. You know, it's like, hey,
- 1:03:22Speaker 9: we're yeah, yes, I still like you. Oh, I still
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: trust you. Like I think that's fine, you know, but
- 1:03:27Speaker 9: take it ability.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: And then you'll embrace and everything will be fine and
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: they make it right.
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: You'll make it, But I do. I think that's it though.
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: The extra effort on that level is what it's going
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: to take.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: Clara, You're very wise.
- 1:03:41Speaker 9: Six guys.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: I wish we could. I wish we could buy you
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: a Starbucks I know would get good advice. Enjoy your day, Clara,
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: thank you so much for calling it. If you guys
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: ever have a dilemma you want to share with us
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Jeremy Katie Josh on Facebook and Instagram.

- 1:07:08Speaker 1: What's what's up with?
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: Yay? What is up? Homies? Okay, So just to give
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: you a little bit of anxiety this morning. Ninety five
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: days until Halloween, one hundred and twenty one days until Thanksgiving,
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: and one hundred and forty nine days until Christmas. Good morning, everybody,
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: Time to put the tree up.
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: Ah.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: There's a story out this morning about the most watched
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: movies on Netflix, and the old K pop Demon Hunters
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: came in at number one, almost seven hundred million views
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: of that silly little movie you know.
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: In someone's living room. It's still on repeat. It is
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: still going strong.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: There was a time when it first came out it
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: was it was seriously NonStop for probably a week. At
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: my house. It was just on all the time.
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: I watched it and I don't even have a child, Like,
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: I think everybody watched that movie.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: Yeah, got bits and pieces of it for sure. There's
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: a actually, speaking of views, a six part series on
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: Instagram right now showing a woman on a Carnival cruise
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: scratching her nasty foot fungus with a fork. It was
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: secretly filmed by several passengers and believe it or not,
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: a lot of people were grossed out by this. It's
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: up about thirty million views on the foot scratching.
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: It's funny. I don't know if it needed to be
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: six whole parts, but.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: It would have been fine.
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: Anyway, Carnival got a hold of it and they sent
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: out a statement that said we can confirm that forks
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: that we have are intended for food, not foot care.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: Once we became aware of the situation, our team quickly
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: addressed it with the guests, Hey knock it off, will you?
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: And we were we removed the utensil from service. How
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: do they know they got the right one? You get
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: the catcher in the act?
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: Does this one look different? There's flakes when you see
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: this video, I mean it, and things are falling off
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: wound Like I looked at it and I was like,
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: that is incredibly satisfying.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: I bet like it looked really like oh man, like
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: like you're doing that. While you're doing it.
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: Go get a pedicure.
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: I guess that I wanted to do it over like
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: a salad or maybe like a plate of spaghetti for me,
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: like a top of spaghetti all covered.
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: With craving salt over.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like almost like farmers on cheese on top
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: of your sketty get over there, say win. It's like
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: the olive garden thing where they're you know, and they're like, say.
- 1:09:37Speaker 5: Win, never need cheese.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: Never scratching.
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: Keep scratching, lady, that's not it.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Don't ever stop locally.
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: Saying Okay, well, we're gonna make you happy because it's
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: the first ever fat marmot wake walk with a bracket
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: and everything, and I am you're a fat I am
- 1:09:53Speaker 5: fascinated by marmots right now. Actually, do you know it's
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: the largest member of the squirrel family. Yeah, I had
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: no idea. And they can put up to three times
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: their body weight on in summer before hibernating for five months.
- 1:10:05Speaker 5: So what they do is just fum root for the
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: chunkiest marmot I know I wish I had a bracket,
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: I would be I would be the champion and you
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: know it, fat Katie contest.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Winning that out day nine days until Christmas. Get your
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: hibernation weight on.
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: That's kind of what they're doing here.
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: So can I get you a T shirt? This is
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: fat Marmot on it? Would you wear it or else?
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: I would wear it every day like I would wear
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: it a lot. You should give me that T shirt. Actually,
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: if no dish spach other things none taking?
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: Okay, good, make sure.
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: Gil like to put all that on.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Come on.
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: But the first ever Fat Marmot Week again, this is
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: from the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. So it's coming up
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: August twenty fourth through the twenty ninth, and it's very
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: similar to Fat Bear Week. How they do it up
- 1:10:51Speaker 5: there at that nature park and preserve up in cat
- 1:10:54Speaker 5: to my I don't know, but you bet this Great
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: Marmit Week. This it's gonna be in Gothic Colorado. So
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: they're inviting the public to vote for their favorite Marmot
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: in a bracket style showdown. And it has been a
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: tough year for Marmot's chair.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Thats it sure has.
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: Yeah, the scientists who studied them found out that the
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: snow melted so much earlier, which left them susceptible to
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: predators for longer. They're thirsty, and roughly one hundred involved
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: in the study sadly passed away over the winter.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: Thanks for that horribly.
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: So I'm to say they're really trying to raise the
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: spirits of the Marmot community and say this right now,
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: and so yeah, this is fun though. Right August twenty
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: fourth through the twenty ninth, mark your calendar so you
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: can take place in the Fat Marmot Week challenge, all bright,
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: All right, okay, and then just one more here, let's see,
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: Oh the twenty one tons of taters.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: We got to talk about. Yeah, we need an update.
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: Well, because yesterday we talked about how the forty two
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: thousand pounds of potatoes came to the Mile High City
- 1:11:57Speaker 5: because over in the Midwest they were just gonna throw
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: them away. So we had a local nonprofit that was like,
- 1:12:02Speaker 5: wait a second, we can help you with those potatoes.
- 1:12:04Speaker 5: So they brought them to the Five Points area and
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: yesterday they just opened up the Potato Fair. It's like
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: potato poaloozo over there, exactly.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Just bring your friends grab a potato.
- 1:12:16Speaker 5: Get your free papas fritos over here. And so they
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: came and in ninety minutes cleaned out the two tons
- 1:12:22Speaker 5: of potatoes here in the community. So shout out to
- 1:12:26Speaker 5: everyone who heard, and you know, made it a thing
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: because you got rid of those potatoes. No problems.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: Pretty that they went that fast though.
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: I just love that, you know they need.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: There's cars in town right now making turns this morning,
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: and there's potatoes rolling across their back seat. I guarantee
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: you you know it is the great potatoes cater Experiment.
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: There you go, so some good news today and you
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: thank you, you little welcome fat marmot.

- 1:14:23Speaker 2: a he man room. But my wife will says she
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: would leave me.

- 1:15:34Speaker 2: with the questions, so there's no cheating, and we will
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: find out if you are right or wrong on these questions, Carrie,
