- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with i R Radio. Hello everyone, welcome to the Almost
- 0:08Speaker 1: Famous Podcast. It's Ashley and Again. Today I am joined
- 0:12Speaker 1: by my husband Jared, which you guys might be tired
- 0:15Speaker 1: of us. And if you're like many people out there,
- 0:18Speaker 1: you hear that it's the two of us again, you're like,
- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm sick of you. I'm turning this podcast off. It's
- 0:22Speaker 1: not my fault. We just found out that Ben couldn't
- 0:24Speaker 1: be on the episode. So like you're like, hey, can
- 0:27Speaker 1: you feel in Like, yeah, sure, that's the one thing
- 0:29Speaker 1: Bachelor wants is more of us. That's the but's Bachelor
- 0:32Speaker 1: Nation wants. Bachelor Nation wants more of us and not.
- 0:35Speaker 1: So we got a lot of backlash, or we didn't
- 0:37Speaker 1: really get a lot of backlash, but a lot of
- 0:39Speaker 1: you out there did not want to see a married
- 0:41Speaker 1: couple on the beach. Yeah, it was pretty evident, which
- 0:44Speaker 1: makes me sad. It just makes me sad that I
- 0:47Speaker 1: think we both thought when we went down to Paradise
- 0:49Speaker 1: that we were just going to go down and we'd
- 0:51Speaker 1: be one of the you know, the former couples that
- 0:53Speaker 1: always go down and we're there for a lit while
- 0:55Speaker 1: we're not gonna get much screen time. It's just more
- 0:57Speaker 1: for us, and then we have the opportunity to kind
- 0:59Speaker 1: of hang out and on a date. But even when
- 1:01Speaker 1: we were still down there, I think you and I
- 1:02Speaker 1: both were both under the oppression that, like, well, they're
- 1:05Speaker 1: not gonna like we're not gonna get shown that much,
- 1:07Speaker 1: which is totally fine. This is more of like a
- 1:10Speaker 1: cool thing that we can look back on. And we
- 1:11Speaker 1: went on a date, and we're so grateful for Bachelor
- 1:14Speaker 1: and the producers and everybody being able to bring us
- 1:16Speaker 1: down there and take such a care of us. And
- 1:19Speaker 1: you know, we're a success story, if you want to
- 1:21Speaker 1: phrase it that way. And it was it was so lovely,
- 1:25Speaker 1: and I thought when we watched we were going to
- 1:26Speaker 1: watch it back. It was just going to be kind
- 1:28Speaker 1: of nothing but more for us in our family and
- 1:30Speaker 1: being able to watch it back and no one would
- 1:32Speaker 1: really care, which is totally fine by us. We'd get
- 1:34Speaker 1: some people say, oh my god, Jared Ashley again, and
- 1:36Speaker 1: then some other people say, oh, it's so nice to
- 1:38Speaker 1: see them again, and then that would be it. I
- 1:40Speaker 1: don't know, to get as much screen time as he didn't.
- 1:42Speaker 1: He didn't think that we were going to get as
- 1:43Speaker 1: much screen time, and I did because I could feel
- 1:46Speaker 1: that they were using certain storylines. I knew that they
- 1:48Speaker 1: wanted to do like the whole like are they going
- 1:50Speaker 1: to utilize the boom boom room? And I knew my
- 1:52Speaker 1: farts were going to play a big role. And I
- 1:54Speaker 1: was really excited about our day, Like I knew our
- 1:56Speaker 1: day it would be very funny. We thought it was funny.
- 1:59Speaker 1: A lot of you guys thought we were boring as hell,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and that's fine. I don't I don't think anybody said
- 2:04Speaker 1: it is more people just didn't like that we were
- 2:07Speaker 1: feeler content, or they thought that we were feeler content.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I think a lot of people are a little frustrated
- 2:12Speaker 1: of how stretched out the show is right now, because
- 2:15Speaker 1: let's be honest, we're going into episode five tomorrow, right
- 2:19Speaker 1: So this is the third week there's been one road
- 2:23Speaker 1: ceremony and you guys um just previewing for you. You
- 2:26Speaker 1: won't get another road ceremony until Monday. We leave on Monday. Okay,
- 2:30Speaker 1: everybody happy we're here for the whole summer. Would you
- 2:33Speaker 1: guys think we're Some people think that we are gonna
- 2:35Speaker 1: hang longer. We're not. And and furthermore, any I have
- 2:42Speaker 1: a little bit of a theory, Okay, go for I think, um,
- 2:47Speaker 1: this is the minority. Let me say that the majority
- 2:50Speaker 1: of people who watched the show and support the show
- 2:53Speaker 1: and come to Audrey's to support us, You guys are
- 2:56Speaker 1: awesome and wonderful people, and I love you so much
- 2:59Speaker 1: because of because truthfully, like we said, without you, without
- 3:03Speaker 1: the people who support the show, who support us, there
- 3:05Speaker 1: is no Audreies. Uh. And you guys have done such
- 3:08Speaker 1: wonders for us and made our lives better. You've made
- 3:10Speaker 1: Dawson's life better. You made Dawson's life to a certain degree.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I guess, well, oh no, I guess that's a little
- 3:17Speaker 1: bit of a strata. Sorry. I was thinking like, if
- 3:20Speaker 1: it weren't for Bachelor fans, that maybe you and I
- 3:22Speaker 1: would have ever been on the show, and that we
- 3:23Speaker 1: would have never had Dawson. But for the very loud
- 3:27Speaker 1: minority who continued to say, um, oh my god, I
- 3:31Speaker 1: don't want to see a married couple on here. Give
- 3:34Speaker 1: the date to people who actually need it and single people.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Just be honest with us and yourselves. You don't watch
- 3:40Speaker 1: the show for love, which is totally fine. You watch
- 3:41Speaker 1: it for drama. As long as you can admit that,
- 3:43Speaker 1: then it's fine. Because what makes me frustrated is that
- 3:47Speaker 1: people will say, oh, I watched the show for love,
- 3:50Speaker 1: but love doesn't end when people leave the beach. And
- 3:53Speaker 1: I'm sure that you can relate to that if you're
- 3:56Speaker 1: watching the show and you've been in love and you've
- 3:58Speaker 1: had long term relationships. Love evolves, love changes, It just
- 4:02Speaker 1: doesn't stop. So when Ashley and I had the opportunity
- 4:04Speaker 1: to go back down and spend some quality time together
- 4:06Speaker 1: and really open up in ways that we haven't opened
- 4:08Speaker 1: up in a little while, probably since our honeymoon wedding,
- 4:12Speaker 1: because let's face it, we get into the mundane nous
- 4:15Speaker 1: of day to day life and we don't talk about
- 4:17Speaker 1: how we feel or what the other person means to me.
- 4:20Speaker 1: You know. Of course I tell Ashley every day how
- 4:21Speaker 1: much he's very good with words of affirmation, but I
- 4:24Speaker 1: just say, hey, listen, you're a great mom, you're a
- 4:26Speaker 1: great wife, and I love you and I appreciate it
- 4:28Speaker 1: does well, thank you so much. And Ashley of course
- 4:31Speaker 1: says that to me and it means the world to me,
- 4:32Speaker 1: But we never really get into the depth of, hey,
- 4:35Speaker 1: this is how you make me feel, this is why
- 4:36Speaker 1: you make me feel that, this is why you're so
- 4:38Speaker 1: important to me. And we had the opportunity to do
- 4:40Speaker 1: that on the beach and share a moment and talk
- 4:42Speaker 1: about Dawson. Um. So for me watching back that date
- 4:47Speaker 1: meant a lot and it gave me a lot of happiness.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Um because I remember having that conversation with Ashley and
- 4:57Speaker 1: how great it felt just to be able to say
- 5:01Speaker 1: some of the things that frankly are tough to say
- 5:04Speaker 1: because they're awkward, and in that environment they're not awkward
- 5:08Speaker 1: because you're forced to talk about super strange how that
- 5:12Speaker 1: conversation over dinner the next town over at the spot
- 5:16Speaker 1: that you like going to. We would do it to
- 5:19Speaker 1: a certain extent, but you would never get to the
- 5:22Speaker 1: point of crying. No, of course, And we talked about
- 5:24Speaker 1: Dawson and you know what parents we want to be,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and how much we look up to our parents and
- 5:29Speaker 1: how impactful they are. Those are the kind of conversations
- 5:31Speaker 1: that you and I would have on dates before we
- 5:34Speaker 1: were ever married, and even not to that depth. You know,
- 5:38Speaker 1: neither one of us would start crying. Well, there was
- 5:40Speaker 1: one time we actually went to a beach and we
- 5:43Speaker 1: did start crying about the same time. What was that
- 5:45Speaker 1: You don't remember that? Um, we were in what's the
- 5:50Speaker 1: area that I used to like with the boats. Okay,
- 5:52Speaker 1: that's how figured it's in l A. Yeah, I don't
- 5:54Speaker 1: remember crying. You We totally cried. It was a very
- 5:58Speaker 1: similar moment, but it was like for years ago before Dawson.
- 6:01Speaker 1: It was before we were married. So anyway, that's my
- 6:03Speaker 1: two cents on it. I have a little bit more
- 6:05Speaker 1: of two cents. What I want to say that the
- 6:08Speaker 1: fan reaction isn't going to take away like that moment
- 6:11Speaker 1: for us. We're still like so glad that we went
- 6:13Speaker 1: down there, and I think like right now we're a
- 6:16Speaker 1: little disappointed. We're just sad, like it has a bad
- 6:18Speaker 1: taste in our mouth, you know, just because like people
- 6:21Speaker 1: didn't enjoy it as much as we enjoyed it. And
- 6:23Speaker 1: I know that like you shouldn't let what like fan
- 6:26Speaker 1: reaction like affect your feelings towards those moments at all,
- 6:29Speaker 1: but I think like it's natural to do that. Well,
- 6:32Speaker 1: I think it was a special day for us, and
- 6:35Speaker 1: that place is a special place for us, even through
- 6:37Speaker 1: all the difficult times and the hard memories. There's foundations
- 6:41Speaker 1: built on that beach that have led to our ultimate
- 6:45Speaker 1: marriage and parenthood. So of course, through all the good
- 6:48Speaker 1: and the bad, that places a special meaning to us.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So being down there is always gonna uh be meaningful.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And so when people react to it in such a
- 6:58Speaker 1: negative manner um, and it's like, I trust me. Even
- 7:03Speaker 1: watching the episode, I was like, holy crap, we are
- 7:06Speaker 1: getting a ton of airtime. According to Bachelor data, the
- 7:09Speaker 1: Instagram account, we did get the most amount of airtime
- 7:12Speaker 1: in that episode, which is crazy. But I'm not gonna
- 7:15Speaker 1: be apologetic about it. I mean, first of all, it's
- 7:18Speaker 1: not our decision. Secondly, you know, we like guys of
- 7:24Speaker 1: sixteen episodes, like sixteen episodes that they had to be creative,
- 7:27Speaker 1: they wanted to come up with something different. They tried
- 7:30Speaker 1: it with us, and apparently they're not gonna do it again.
- 7:34Speaker 1: The grand scheme of things. I mean, we're barely on
- 7:37Speaker 1: this season because we leave very soon, and when we
- 7:41Speaker 1: leave there's still episodes. Yeah, we're not even close to
- 7:46Speaker 1: halfway through yet. And let's be clear, we didn't steal
- 7:49Speaker 1: a date from anyone that was our date. They they're
- 7:53Speaker 1: the Bachelor producers, they're able to give as many date
- 7:56Speaker 1: cards and create as many date moments as they want.
- 7:59Speaker 1: We didn't steal anyone states. And like we've said a
- 8:01Speaker 1: million times on on multiple podcasts, and like everybody says,
- 8:05Speaker 1: going on dates sometimes it certainly doesn't hinder your relationship,
- 8:09Speaker 1: but you can actually build more of a foundation on
- 8:12Speaker 1: the beach of paradise then going on a date where
- 8:15Speaker 1: they separate you and cars and then you do this
- 8:17Speaker 1: activity and then you talk and then you go back
- 8:19Speaker 1: and separate cars where you can just hang out on
- 8:21Speaker 1: the beach together and really, you know, build a dates
- 8:24Speaker 1: aren't as critical and paradise as they would be on
- 8:27Speaker 1: the main show. And it's just like it's a show,
- 8:30Speaker 1: so of course there's going to be certain elements that
- 8:32Speaker 1: like let's give a date to Ashley and Jared. Okay, great,
- 8:35Speaker 1: and we're not going to say no to that. Do
- 8:37Speaker 1: out of your minds. We have had moments like this
- 8:40Speaker 1: of course in the past, and like like um Our
- 8:44Speaker 1: Engagement was one of them. We watched Our Engagement, we
- 8:46Speaker 1: were like so bummed out that it went the way
- 8:49Speaker 1: that we thought, like the way that it was on TV.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And I feel like for us, this will just be
- 8:54Speaker 1: like one of those moments. It's like we have a
- 8:56Speaker 1: little disappointment after watching it, and then a year from
- 8:59Speaker 1: now we'll be like, oh my god, we won't even
- 9:01Speaker 1: remember how it went over on TV. We'll just have
- 9:05Speaker 1: the actual memories. I think it's it's listening again. Don't
- 9:10Speaker 1: feel bad for us. We are so lucky. This is
- 9:13Speaker 1: not This is us just talking about it because Ashley
- 9:17Speaker 1: asked me like four to minutes ago, hey can you
- 9:19Speaker 1: host a podcast? I need a coast And then it's like, okay,
- 9:21Speaker 1: let's talk about this because this we're literally living through
- 9:24Speaker 1: it right now. We just watched the episode last night
- 9:27Speaker 1: and we're fine. I don't want people to think that
- 9:31Speaker 1: we're like super upset. Well, we know we're weird, weird,
- 9:35Speaker 1: I don't know. We have a beautiful son. People to
- 9:40Speaker 1: feel bad for us, Like people are going to listen
- 9:43Speaker 1: to this and have like a whole bunch of feelings.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I feel like they're gonna be like, oh, so they
- 9:47Speaker 1: wanted us to like them so bad. It's like, well, yeah,
- 9:50Speaker 1: I think it's human nature. We want you guys to
- 9:53Speaker 1: like us. It's not so much that we want you
- 9:54Speaker 1: to like us. We just didn't want you to absolutely
- 9:57Speaker 1: hate us being on the show. It makes us sad
- 10:01Speaker 1: and makes it I mean, think about if you went
- 10:03Speaker 1: to a party and then somebody was saying to your
- 10:09Speaker 1: saying to you because obviously we re comments like yeah, god,
- 10:12Speaker 1: we don't want you here. We just don't want you here.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Thank you for that comparison. That's exactly. It's like, well, okay,
- 10:18Speaker 1: that makes me sad, you know, so sorry, Yeah, of
- 10:21Speaker 1: course that stuff makes us sad when people just continuously
- 10:25Speaker 1: caption or comment under tags, like it's not like we're
- 10:29Speaker 1: searching for things, guys, Like, we're tagged in these things
- 10:31Speaker 1: so literally we get notifications if I just go on
- 10:34Speaker 1: my timeline, it's like these things are being said to us,
- 10:37Speaker 1: being like god, these get him away, nobody wants you here.
- 10:41Speaker 1: It's like, oh, all right, well that's we're not that
- 10:44Speaker 1: they're taking up that much time. Guys, I promise if
- 10:47Speaker 1: that's but thank you for that comparison to the party.
- 10:50Speaker 1: That's exactly how we feel. We felt really cool and
- 10:52Speaker 1: really excited to get invited to this party, and we
- 10:58Speaker 1: play into it. We're like, guys, we we're old and
- 11:00Speaker 1: nobody cares about us. It's not like we walked in thinking,
- 11:02Speaker 1: all right, guys, listen up, we have all the answers.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Talk to us. We know what to tell you. It
- 11:07Speaker 1: was more like we walked in, we were like, we're
- 11:09Speaker 1: not that cool, but we're just gonna kind of hang out.
- 11:11Speaker 1: We got invited. We're so excited. We needed this time.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And then it was just like get get out, and
- 11:16Speaker 1: you know what. The cast out and there was so awesome.
- 11:19Speaker 1: They're the best. Yeah, that's what's sad is that they
- 11:22Speaker 1: made us feel so welcome, made us feel so welcome.
- 11:24Speaker 1: There's so like I remember Andrew, I'll never forget. Andrew
- 11:28Speaker 1: was sitting at the picnic table when we were talking,
- 11:30Speaker 1: and uh, he said that it was so nice. It's
- 11:33Speaker 1: so nice having you guys here because you guys are
- 11:36Speaker 1: so comforting, you know, because he's like, it's a stressful
- 11:38Speaker 1: environment and you two are just here and you know,
- 11:41Speaker 1: and he said that we're comforting and I was like, damn,
- 11:44Speaker 1: that's so sweet. It's so sweet. So anyway, people are
- 11:48Speaker 1: probably just like, holy guys, you're just talking about yourself
- 11:51Speaker 1: even more. And we're hosting the podcast, so we can
- 11:55Speaker 1: talk about this for ten minutes and now we'll move on.
- 11:57Speaker 1: And I have to say, I can say one more thing,
- 11:59Speaker 1: name one more thing. Mhm um, it's sad. Well the
- 12:03Speaker 1: last thing that's sad. I'm sorry, so sad. That's sad.
- 12:06Speaker 1: You guys can fast forward through farting and appeeing and
- 12:08Speaker 1: all that stuff. And of course the moment was important
- 12:13Speaker 1: for us to have the conversation on the beach for us,
- 12:16Speaker 1: and we'll remember the conversation forever and all that. But
- 12:19Speaker 1: it's sad to hear that you guys would fast forward
- 12:21Speaker 1: through that one because that was like a that was
- 12:24Speaker 1: a bachelor moment that I would think that anybody who
- 12:27Speaker 1: like really likes the show for love would love. I
- 12:31Speaker 1: would agree, And that's why I think, Um, listen, people
- 12:35Speaker 1: watch the show for all different reasons, for drama and
- 12:37Speaker 1: for love, and I totally get that. But I think
- 12:40Speaker 1: the idea that it's like, oh, we don't you know
- 12:45Speaker 1: first if if I guess what frustrates me is people
- 12:48Speaker 1: will come up and say, like, we love the love.
- 12:51Speaker 1: That's what we want to say, we love, we want
- 12:52Speaker 1: to see love, and it's like, yeah, well, as you
- 12:55Speaker 1: guys probably know a lot of you are married, love evolves,
- 12:58Speaker 1: love changes, and you're really need to continue putting effort
- 13:01Speaker 1: into love. It's not like you fall in love on
- 13:04Speaker 1: the beach and then you leave and then it's like,
- 13:05Speaker 1: all right, guys, well that was fun, you know, like
- 13:07Speaker 1: their love stories. Over of course it's not. And so, um,
- 13:11Speaker 1: you know, I thought the idea of them bringing back couples,
- 13:14Speaker 1: and trust me, I felt that they were going to
- 13:16Speaker 1: do this with more couples. But definitely I thought it
- 13:18Speaker 1: was gonna be like one couple of week. Maybe. Yeah,
- 13:21Speaker 1: we didn't think we're gonna be on the ones. I
- 13:22Speaker 1: don't even got there. Then we realized it was going
- 13:24Speaker 1: to only be us. But well, truthfully, I know, I
- 13:26Speaker 1: don't know if it's just us. Do they bring I
- 13:28Speaker 1: don't know, do you bring past couples? But nobody sleeps
- 13:30Speaker 1: over like we did. It's gonna be a lot of
- 13:32Speaker 1: a lot of appearances cameos, but there's there's nobody who
- 13:37Speaker 1: sleeps over. Um. So anyway, those are our two two
- 13:40Speaker 1: cents about it. But once again, um, we also got
- 13:43Speaker 1: some nice comments, so I want to thank everybody who
- 13:45Speaker 1: did say nice things. It means a lot to us.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Um and uh, at the end of the day, it's okay,
- 13:51Speaker 1: and I can't fault to the producers stre even thinking
- 13:54Speaker 1: it was going to be a good idea because all
- 13:57Speaker 1: of you or not maybe not all of you, but
- 13:59Speaker 1: hate to general rise, but a lot of you follow
- 14:01Speaker 1: the couples on Instagram afterward because you want to see
- 14:05Speaker 1: where their relationship leads, and you like following that lifeline timeline,
- 14:11Speaker 1: So naturally I would think that they like that seems
- 14:14Speaker 1: like a good idea, like let's put one of those
- 14:15Speaker 1: couples on there. But I guess not a good idea anyway. Sorry, party, No,
- 14:21Speaker 1: and it's not meant to be I mean, but let's
- 14:25Speaker 1: face it, it was a pretty big topic of conversation
- 14:27Speaker 1: over the past twenty four hours watching Paradise, and then
- 14:30Speaker 1: we're hosting this podcast, so we're gonna talk about it
- 14:33Speaker 1: for ten or fifteen minutes, and now we'll move on.
- 14:36Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about Laced Rodney. So let's take
- 14:40Speaker 1: a break and then we'll talk about Laced Rodney. Okay,
- 14:54Speaker 1: So the episode starts with Rodney basically being told like
- 14:59Speaker 1: Teddy's gone, uh, so you can date around now. He
- 15:02Speaker 1: decides not to take anybody on the date with him.
- 15:06Speaker 1: He's going to hang around and get to know some
- 15:08Speaker 1: of the girls, and he and Jill are kind of
- 15:10Speaker 1: hitting it off. He's like, wow, Jill, you're pretty awesome.
- 15:13Speaker 1: We should have gone on this date. Jill's getting her
- 15:15Speaker 1: hopes up, and then Lace brings him down to the
- 15:19Speaker 1: bar or like has a moment at the bar and
- 15:22Speaker 1: all of a sudden, everybody looks over and they're making out.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Lace made a great move though. She was having her
- 15:28Speaker 1: flirt her like flirt meter was perfectly tuned on. Does
- 15:34Speaker 1: that make any sense, No, but you know what I mean,
- 15:37Speaker 1: Like she turned it on and she turned on. Well
- 15:40Speaker 1: you know how you'd have those moments where like sometimes
- 15:43Speaker 1: like when we first met, I could not do it.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I couldn't flirt, couldn't have a conversation. Yeah, once I
- 15:51Speaker 1: got comfortable with you, not like the first couple of days.
- 15:54Speaker 1: This girl, she was ready set go and it worked
- 15:58Speaker 1: on him. Yeah. It was out of left field, the
- 16:01Speaker 1: whole Lace and Rodney thing, because we thought we were,
- 16:04Speaker 1: you know, shipping Jill Lynn Rodney, Lace came in started
- 16:07Speaker 1: making out with them. Were asleep, but we were asleep,
- 16:10Speaker 1: of course, we were asleep for half these things. But
- 16:14Speaker 1: love Lace. It's so weird being in paradise and having
- 16:16Speaker 1: friends with so many people because you're like, oh, Jill,
- 16:18Speaker 1: I want you to be with Rodney, and then Lace
- 16:20Speaker 1: makes out with Rodney and you're like, well, I want
- 16:22Speaker 1: Lace to be happy too, So I guess we're playing
- 16:25Speaker 1: so many teams. We felt so like we basically if
- 16:27Speaker 1: anybody came up to us and was like, I want
- 16:29Speaker 1: to do with so and so, we'd be like, we
- 16:30Speaker 1: want you to be with so and so. Of course
- 16:32Speaker 1: we do, but the problem is everybody's dating each other.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I love Lace, she's the best, she's great for TV,
- 16:37Speaker 1: she's a great in person. So I'm shipping Lace and Rodney.
- 16:40Speaker 1: And as Well said, it's an unconventional devil. That's well said,
- 16:44Speaker 1: there's always one couple each season that takes everybody by surprise,
- 16:48Speaker 1: and that's definitely that feels like Rodney Lace. We'll see
- 16:50Speaker 1: how long it lasts. Next couple that we want to
- 16:54Speaker 1: talk about is well the Genevieve Aaron justice In situation.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Holy crap, this is a lot. This is a lot
- 17:04Speaker 1: of this episode. Was this triangle, Yeah, the triangle between
- 17:08Speaker 1: Justin Aaron Genevieve. I feel like it's uh there, uh okay,
- 17:17Speaker 1: Basically I think I know what it's going to say,
- 17:20Speaker 1: Justin and Genevieve seemed to be trying way too hard
- 17:23Speaker 1: for a couple who only had a thing and only
- 17:25Speaker 1: seemed happy on night one, and even that great. I
- 17:28Speaker 1: don't think they were that great. Did he went on
- 17:30Speaker 1: that day with Victoria? Yeah? I know? And then you
- 17:33Speaker 1: know he came back, Johnny was going to give his
- 17:36Speaker 1: roast to Victoria. Definitely want to proceuse things to Victorious.
- 17:38Speaker 1: But then Justin gave Genevieve the rose, and then there's
- 17:43Speaker 1: this expectation that like maybe they were going to continue
- 17:47Speaker 1: try again, but they just seemed why you guys trying
- 17:51Speaker 1: so hard? There was nothing to fight for here. Yeah,
- 17:53Speaker 1: and Aaron came in and was like, I want to
- 17:55Speaker 1: take you on a date, and he was, you know,
- 17:58Speaker 1: steadfast on Genevieve. Justin simply annoyed the fact that he
- 18:03Speaker 1: gave a rose to Genevieve, and you know, now here
- 18:06Speaker 1: where is he getting his rose? I can't say it, Creek,
- 18:10Speaker 1: you can, oh, yeah, we should be able to say it.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I feel like, um, yeah, so, I mean I get
- 18:16Speaker 1: that Justin's annoyed by that, but I think that that
- 18:18Speaker 1: was the risk he took by giving Genevieve that rose.
- 18:22Speaker 1: That's just the risk you take in Paradise with basically
- 18:24Speaker 1: every rose gave out. It's also you gave a rose
- 18:27Speaker 1: to someone that you didn't go on a date with.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Let me think about that. He went on a date
- 18:31Speaker 1: with Victoria? Was that was that after the ros ceremony?
- 18:33Speaker 1: That was that was before the rose ceremony. It was
- 18:36Speaker 1: like seven episodes ago, I'll forget everything, Um, just kidding.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Uh yeah, so okay, hold on. So he gave the
- 18:44Speaker 1: rose to Genevieve and then went on a date with Victoria. No,
- 18:48Speaker 1: Victoria came on before the rose. Annoyed babe, is that
- 18:53Speaker 1: he gave his rose to a girl who's now going
- 18:55Speaker 1: to go on a date with somebody else. Yeah, but
- 18:57Speaker 1: he went on a date with a different girl during
- 18:58Speaker 1: that week. She was super upset about it, but she
- 19:03Speaker 1: was like Jenevieve was so upset about it, and then
- 19:05Speaker 1: he was kind of like, okay, well I think now
- 19:08Speaker 1: now look, I'm going to give you my rose after
- 19:11Speaker 1: all this. And then she goes and talks Aaron and
- 19:13Speaker 1: Jenevieve was on the podcast last week and she said,
- 19:16Speaker 1: of course I talked to Justin before going on that date,
- 19:21Speaker 1: Yes you do, and just kind So then we see Aaron.
- 19:25Speaker 1: She gets home from the date with Aaron. She really
- 19:28Speaker 1: likes Aaron and we I've said multiple times on the
- 19:31Speaker 1: podcast already, he was our biggest surprise I think as
- 19:34Speaker 1: far as human beings go, when we got there, because
- 19:37Speaker 1: we were like, oh my god, why is this guy
- 19:39Speaker 1: so angry all the time. He's always looking for a fight.
- 19:41Speaker 1: He's not funny at all. Is the wide of these
- 19:43Speaker 1: girls into him? And then we met him and he
- 19:45Speaker 1: was like, oh wow, you're like cool, funny and daring,
- 19:49Speaker 1: totally self deprecating. But we also love Justin too. We
- 19:54Speaker 1: really enjoyed our time with Justin. Really, guys, there was
- 19:57Speaker 1: nobody we didn't like. Is there nobody that we didn't like.
- 20:01Speaker 1: The only person we didn't really connect with his logan logan,
- 20:04Speaker 1: We just didn't have a connection with it. I also
- 20:06Speaker 1: don't I can't say that we really like had like
- 20:07Speaker 1: a good amount of time with Johnny. Enjoyed Johnny, but
- 20:10Speaker 1: like didn't have like I can't really remember many moments,
- 20:13Speaker 1: and that feel like Johnny and Victoria are just always
- 20:14Speaker 1: like yeah, private and quiet, calm. It was very common
- 20:19Speaker 1: around them. There was so common around that was like hilarious.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Guys were like, why is there like no drama ever
- 20:24Speaker 1: coming from that area? That just coasting right on through. Yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 1: So yeah, So Jennevieve comes back from the day and
- 20:32Speaker 1: she's kind of like, hey, I'm surprised that I like him.
- 20:34Speaker 1: She says that to Justin, and then Justin is still
- 20:37Speaker 1: like pretty pissed. And then it's his birthday, which is
- 20:40Speaker 1: hilarious because it was her birthday. So many effing birthdays.
- 20:44Speaker 1: They're there for like three weeks and everybody has a birthday?
- 20:46Speaker 1: Was everybody born in the month of June. Well, it
- 20:48Speaker 1: was funny because it's like the whole drama was like
- 20:51Speaker 1: I can't believe he's breaking up with me on my birthday.
- 20:53Speaker 1: And then it's like two days later it's Justin's birthday,
- 20:56Speaker 1: and it's like, I can't believe she's breaking up with
- 20:58Speaker 1: me on my birthday. The shady thing that happened here
- 21:02Speaker 1: is a Justin in the midst of an argument in
- 21:04Speaker 1: which they're basically like cutting ties, he goes, do I
- 21:09Speaker 1: not get a birthday kiss? You got a birthday kiss?
- 21:14Speaker 1: And it was so manipulative and a little bit, a
- 21:17Speaker 1: little actually a lot of it, but like, I also
- 21:20Speaker 1: hate talking bad about people that I like. But you know,
- 21:22Speaker 1: I mean, why what's wrong with ussing for a birthday kiss? Jared?
- 21:25Speaker 1: It was like, you didn't see this scene. No I didn't. Yeah,
- 21:29Speaker 1: you didn't see this scene. Jared watched it, but not
- 21:32Speaker 1: like intently, Um, what do you want for me? He was.
- 21:36Speaker 1: She was like, I had a great time with Aaron.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I really like him. And he's like, you're gonna leave
- 21:39Speaker 1: me without a birthday kiss? So anyway, so then she
- 21:42Speaker 1: goes to Aaron and she's like, I have to admit
- 21:44Speaker 1: to you, I gave him a birthday kiss. And then
- 21:46Speaker 1: Aaron's like, well, that's manipulative of him. But also Aaron
- 21:51Speaker 1: handled the moment like a chad. He was like, I
- 21:55Speaker 1: really like you. We had a great day. Tomorrow we'll
- 21:57Speaker 1: start fresh, and that was it. He was so sure
- 22:01Speaker 1: about it, and they started fresh, and it seems eazy, breezy.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I think the Aaron also has the perspective of being
- 22:06Speaker 1: on paradise prior and realizing all right, kind of this
- 22:09Speaker 1: is a situation like yeah, you might kiss someone else,
- 22:11Speaker 1: but we're still working towards something here together. And she
- 22:14Speaker 1: was honest with me, so let's just move forward. Yeah.
- 22:16Speaker 1: The other storyline that comes from that double date with
- 22:19Speaker 1: Aaron and James and genevieven Say, is that Cheney basically
- 22:24Speaker 1: abandoned Logan after this, she likes James more. It's not
- 22:28Speaker 1: like there's like a crazy passion. She just happens to
- 22:31Speaker 1: like James Mark. It is a very handsome man. I
- 22:34Speaker 1: love James so sweet. Just wish ayone't wacked. His eyebrows
- 22:37Speaker 1: is the only thing. He's got. Beautiful eyes though, gorgeous eyes.
- 22:42Speaker 1: When he was down in Paradise, it's like, good god, man,
- 22:44Speaker 1: it's like looking into the ocean. Yeah, he's so sweet
- 22:48Speaker 1: and like gentle, Okay, which is so surprising? Is it
- 22:51Speaker 1: so surprising that basically supersensitive so sensitive and gentle? That's what?
- 22:57Speaker 1: Because I was like, James is he's such a sweetheart
- 23:00Speaker 1: art and then Aaron's so self deprecating. I'm like, are
- 23:03Speaker 1: you guys Shore you're the bass brothers, because come on now,
- 23:05Speaker 1: you should be a little douche here, but you're you're
- 23:07Speaker 1: too nice. Yeah, they're like the yeah, alright. So Jane
- 23:12Speaker 1: is like Logan, why didn't you come after me when
- 23:15Speaker 1: I came back from my day with James, like you
- 23:17Speaker 1: didn't try to pursue me at all? And then Jay
- 23:21Speaker 1: and then Logan is kind of like, well, you were
- 23:23Speaker 1: the one that went on a date. Shouldn't you be
- 23:25Speaker 1: coming up to me and telling me how you failed
- 23:27Speaker 1: after the date? What do you think about situation like that?
- 23:32Speaker 1: I'm team Logan probably really yeah, because I mean, could
- 23:37Speaker 1: you imagine doing this? Could you imagine doing this outside
- 23:40Speaker 1: of the bachelor bubble, like having you gotta have a
- 23:43Speaker 1: connection with someone and they're on a date with someone
- 23:45Speaker 1: else and then they're like, I was just trying to
- 23:46Speaker 1: make you jealous, Like why aren't you coming after me?
- 23:48Speaker 1: Even though that's I don't think what she was doing.
- 23:50Speaker 1: She says that she likes James more anyway, Logan, she
- 23:54Speaker 1: likes James more because like he's more pursuing at this point.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Maybe just here's the point. I don't feel like Logan
- 24:01Speaker 1: and Jane have a very good connection. So it's like,
- 24:04Speaker 1: why are you annoyed that Logan wasn't coming after you?
- 24:06Speaker 1: She just wants to be wanted. Yeah, my point exactly
- 24:09Speaker 1: that it's not you guys are fine. You guys are
- 24:12Speaker 1: It's obviously not that strong connection if neither one of
- 24:16Speaker 1: you is fighting for the other, so let's just move
- 24:18Speaker 1: on and try to find someone else. So Janell, you
- 24:21Speaker 1: move on with James, see how that goes. And then
- 24:23Speaker 1: Logan try to move on to somebody who's singing? Why
- 24:26Speaker 1: is it Logan and Jill? Well, Jacob a Jill? Now
- 24:29Speaker 1: I don't think Logan and could you imagine Logan and
- 24:32Speaker 1: Jill together? But I'm just saying, single people on the beach,
- 24:34Speaker 1: Let's just figure things out. Obviously your connection. Let's get
- 24:37Speaker 1: some friendship roses figured out. Let's get some friendship making out,
- 24:41Speaker 1: you know, friendship making out. What are the last person
- 24:45Speaker 1: to say anything? Because like you and I both would
- 24:47Speaker 1: never friendship makeout. You wouldn't like you wouldn't like send
- 24:52Speaker 1: my friendship make out with me. That was different. You're like,
- 24:56Speaker 1: I liked you too much, but I was also I
- 24:59Speaker 1: knew I would be leading you on compared to Jill.
- 25:03Speaker 1: You use the term leading on. Remember you hated that.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you said you would have been Jared hates
- 25:08Speaker 1: Jared mixed singles. Jared says, there's a difference between mixed
- 25:12Speaker 1: signals and leading on, and that's a whole other conversation.
- 25:16Speaker 1: At the crux of it. I understand what Jared was saying,
- 25:19Speaker 1: but I think that people usually use those storms synonymously. Okay,
- 25:23Speaker 1: on it to another bachelor couple, that's just that's just easy, breezy,
- 25:28Speaker 1: like Johnny and Victoria are at this point, it's a
- 25:32Speaker 1: Brandon Serene Brandon Serene are. I mean, yeah, they're just smooth.
- 25:35Speaker 1: It's just smooth falling in love with each other. He
- 25:37Speaker 1: says he's falling in love. Some people are giving him
- 25:40Speaker 1: criticism for saying that so early, including Jared. No, it's not,
- 25:45Speaker 1: it's just more, you know, sometimes you get wrapped up
- 25:48Speaker 1: in the moment. That doesn't mean he's not actually going
- 25:50Speaker 1: to fall in love with her. But I think maybe
- 25:52Speaker 1: it was a I don't know. I mean, listen, it
- 25:54Speaker 1: all depends on how it plays out, what happens, if
- 25:56Speaker 1: they end up spending the rest of their lives together.
- 25:59Speaker 1: This man is so incredibly romantic though, That's what I mean, like,
- 26:02Speaker 1: because yeah, do I think he said it too early,
- 26:05Speaker 1: But at the same time, he's so sweet and endearing
- 26:08Speaker 1: it makes you want to believe what he's saying. I
- 26:12Speaker 1: wonder if Michelle is watching this back and just being like,
- 26:14Speaker 1: man I missed out because Brandon is No, it's not.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I mean, I hope not. Damn, I hope not. That's awkward.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I don't know. It just Brandon is so swoony to me,
- 26:25Speaker 1: very swooney, you know what I mean. He's very good looking.
- 26:27Speaker 1: He's very good looking, but he's just like he loves
- 26:30Speaker 1: love like that. Is not a player, dude. Yeah. He
- 26:32Speaker 1: also pays attention when you talk. I noticed that when
- 26:35Speaker 1: I was talking too, he was looking at me in
- 26:36Speaker 1: the eyes. He's like, oh, this is a very listener.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I don't know what it is about him. He's just
- 26:40Speaker 1: like so like precious, you know, used that expression like
- 26:45Speaker 1: protect this man at all costs. That's how I feel
- 26:47Speaker 1: about Brandon. Yeah, I would agree. Okay. So anyway, um yeah,
- 26:51Speaker 1: Brandon and Serena have a great date. He says, I'm
- 26:54Speaker 1: I'm all yours so cute. I mean, I at it.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Serene is catch beautiful, smart, intelligent. Sure, Brandon's like, this
- 27:06Speaker 1: girl is incredible and I want to lock her down
- 27:09Speaker 1: immediately before any other douchebags walked down these stairs and
- 27:13Speaker 1: try to steal my girl. They are just classic couple,
- 27:17Speaker 1: the one that starts strong and strong doesn't have any
- 27:20Speaker 1: drama unfortunately. Well okay, yeah, I'm sorry, I'm just seeing
- 27:24Speaker 1: foreseeing like you know, there's like little slots they put
- 27:27Speaker 1: you in. Well, plus, he's I mean, I get that
- 27:30Speaker 1: a little bit of his story, but in his intro
- 27:32Speaker 1: he's literally unburying of engagement. You know what that is? Yeah? Okay,
- 27:38Speaker 1: So in Michelle's season bettered an engagement when she denied
- 27:43Speaker 1: his proposal. He threw it into this that's right forgot about,
- 27:47Speaker 1: which I think is the best intro of all the
- 27:50Speaker 1: intros thus far this year. Uh yeah, what else is
- 27:53Speaker 1: a good intro? So funny Lace's call back to her
- 27:56Speaker 1: bachelor party season three where she falls and catches the drink.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I think season three is the best one. That was
- 28:01Speaker 1: the one where Josh kicked the soccer ball and then
- 28:03Speaker 1: the soccer ball hit Nick in the head. Incredible, so good,
- 28:07Speaker 1: so good. And then Wells was DJ and the Coconuts. Yeah,
- 28:12Speaker 1: spinning back when Wells was just a DJ in Nashville.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I know, it's that crazy, It's Yeah. What was I
- 28:22Speaker 1: gonna say was because say something what I thought was poignant,
- 28:25Speaker 1: which probably wasn't pointing in at all. Maybe it'll come
- 28:28Speaker 1: back to me, Oh yeah, okay. So basically like they
- 28:30Speaker 1: put you in slots right because they're like, you will
- 28:34Speaker 1: be the couple that will be together and it'll be tumultuous.
- 28:37Speaker 1: You will be the couple that you get together and
- 28:39Speaker 1: it's strong the entire time. There's always the strong, the
- 28:42Speaker 1: entire time couple, and that is Brandon and Serena or
- 28:45Speaker 1: for what I foresee. Yeah, but sometimes those couples end up. No,
- 28:49Speaker 1: there's there's just a couple, babe. There's like the couple
- 28:52Speaker 1: that's strong and then they could fall apart, and then
- 28:54Speaker 1: there's a couple that's strong and they stay strong. It's
- 28:56Speaker 1: like the Jadeen Tanner versus the Carly and Kirk Kirk
- 29:00Speaker 1: Kirk No, Kirk Lorn and I literally had this fight
- 29:03Speaker 1: on the sand. Is it Kirk or is it Kurt?
- 29:06Speaker 1: It's Kirk Jared kay I are So there's one of each.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I don't think Brandon Serena are going. I don't think
- 29:14Speaker 1: they're going to Carly and Kirk way, they're going the
- 29:19Speaker 1: car the Jane January. One can only hope. What's the
- 29:22Speaker 1: next thing. Next thing is basically the Carly and Kirk.
- 29:27Speaker 1: It's Michael and Sierra. Yeah, do you want to take
- 29:30Speaker 1: you can explain the Michael and Sierra story a little bit.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I mean, Michael Sierra, they just they when we went
- 29:35Speaker 1: down there, they seemed like a pretty solid couple. They
- 29:36Speaker 1: were solid couple. And then you know, we all saw
- 29:40Speaker 1: what happened with Sierra. She had that date planned and
- 29:42Speaker 1: everybody was so excited for her. Well, I was, okay,
- 29:45Speaker 1: so we're at we're all really excited, We're all really nervous. Okay,
- 29:49Speaker 1: So because we were just like, I think it's a
- 29:51Speaker 1: great idea, but you know, it's just as everybody knows,
- 29:54Speaker 1: it's it's it's a lot. It's a heavy conversation to
- 29:56Speaker 1: have in such an early relationship, and so I think
- 29:59Speaker 1: we're all really excited. We all thought it was going
- 30:01Speaker 1: to go well, but I think all of us had
- 30:03Speaker 1: like a little little voice in the back of our
- 30:06Speaker 1: head saying, is it too much? And then we're like no,
- 30:10Speaker 1: like we're in paradise. This is what you know. And
- 30:12Speaker 1: she really wanted to talk to her about the situation
- 30:15Speaker 1: and make him know that she was there for him
- 30:17Speaker 1: and supporting and that you know, she was not trying
- 30:20Speaker 1: to replace anybody or anything like that. Um. But obviously
- 30:25Speaker 1: we all saw what happened, which sucked because Sierra Sia
- 30:28Speaker 1: again just this is just stunning. She's striking, and she's
- 30:33Speaker 1: just so sweet. She's really just she's a sweetheart. She is, um, yeah,
- 30:39Speaker 1: great heart. But Michael has a gave so much. Now listen,
- 30:46Speaker 1: I talked to Sierra a little bit more than Michael
- 30:48Speaker 1: up until this point, so I was knowing their relationship
- 30:51Speaker 1: much more through Sierra's eyes, and then afterward I was
- 30:55Speaker 1: talking to Michael Moore, and I saw the relationship with
- 30:57Speaker 1: through Michael's eyes. The situation that Michael's in is really
- 31:01Speaker 1: like almost unprecedented as far as being in Paradise. We've
- 31:04Speaker 1: seen a couple widow Like the only other widow I
- 31:07Speaker 1: can think about on the show is Emily Maynard. Can
- 31:12Speaker 1: you think of another widow? No? Not? Uh? Oh, Julia Kinney,
- 31:18Speaker 1: Julia Kinney and technically or whatnot? Technically? I mean Kelsey Oh,
- 31:24Speaker 1: Kelsey po Kelsey Poh. How did that not come to
- 31:28Speaker 1: the top of my head? I can see why. It's
- 31:31Speaker 1: a little bit of a different situation, totally different situation.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Let's not even go there. Okay, So Michael has obviously
- 31:41Speaker 1: he's obviously going to go about dating in this atmosphere
- 31:44Speaker 1: different than everyone. Um, he has not had a serious
- 31:50Speaker 1: relationship since his wife, and he talks openly about how
- 31:55Speaker 1: he's not going, like it's hard for him to get there.
- 31:58Speaker 1: He's scared because every time him he does get close
- 32:01Speaker 1: to really dating someone, he basically walks away. Yeah, that's
- 32:06Speaker 1: not really conducive for dating, but that's why I was concerned.
- 32:09Speaker 1: When I heard this from him, or I heard these
- 32:13Speaker 1: concerns from Sierra, I was like, oh crap, then he's
- 32:16Speaker 1: probably I don't know if Paradise is the place for him.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, so, I mean I love Michael, but I
- 32:24Speaker 1: also don't want him to go into a relationship with
- 32:27Speaker 1: someone again and have the same thing happened again. It
- 32:31Speaker 1: just seemed like he was going to need like the
- 32:33Speaker 1: slowest of the slow process, and obviously Paradise is like
- 32:36Speaker 1: the fastest of the fast process, the fastest of the fast.
- 32:40Speaker 1: So Sia is telling us girls what she's doing. She
- 32:44Speaker 1: just looks so gorgeous, and she's going to pull him
- 32:47Speaker 1: aside and show him the stars that she got for
- 32:51Speaker 1: him and Laura and their son. And I thought he
- 32:56Speaker 1: was going to take it well and I was, but
- 32:59Speaker 1: not like to also tell her to slow down. I
- 33:01Speaker 1: thought I was going to tell her. I thought he
- 33:03Speaker 1: was going to tell her we got to slow down.
- 33:05Speaker 1: I did not think he was going to tell her
- 33:07Speaker 1: let's be friends. Yeah, it went a hundred to zero
- 33:12Speaker 1: really quickly in Sierra's eyes, and I understand that Michael
- 33:15Speaker 1: probably had a different outlook and maybe they weren't communicating
- 33:19Speaker 1: or he wasn't communicating as well as he wanted to
- 33:22Speaker 1: to see her saying with in terms of how fast
- 33:24Speaker 1: the relationship was moving. But yeah, it's crazy how it
- 33:29Speaker 1: just ended. Yeh, roadblock. I expected when Sierra told us
- 33:36Speaker 1: as a group that he basically cut it off with her,
- 33:40Speaker 1: that he was going to leave as well. And then
- 33:43Speaker 1: do you and I were both kind of shocked when
- 33:45Speaker 1: we saw that he's just hanging around because I thought
- 33:47Speaker 1: what he was saying is like, this is going too fast.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I've realized this is in the place for me to
- 33:51Speaker 1: find a relationship. But he was really just saying like
- 33:54Speaker 1: this is not That's actually not the situation at all.
- 33:58Speaker 1: The situation with Michael was that he really felt like
- 34:01Speaker 1: something was missing with Sarah. He did not feel it
- 34:04Speaker 1: all the way is that. Yeah, it was more that
- 34:08Speaker 1: the connection with Sierra wasn't there, rather than the environment
- 34:13Speaker 1: of paradises can move too quickly. Hey, so what we
- 34:17Speaker 1: once we heard from that we're like okay, and a
- 34:19Speaker 1: lot of people whenever something ends, a relationship ends, everybody's
- 34:22Speaker 1: looking for someone to blame. And I feel like this
- 34:25Speaker 1: is a situation where there's there's no specific like I
- 34:28Speaker 1: don't fault Michael and I don't fault Sierra. I can
- 34:31Speaker 1: see both sides of what they were going through. It
- 34:33Speaker 1: was just an awkward situation that of course I think
- 34:36Speaker 1: Michael could have handled things better in but also like
- 34:39Speaker 1: he could not have been He could not be more
- 34:42Speaker 1: sweet in this moment. He's just the sweetest man. And
- 34:46Speaker 1: it's like, guys, how else did you want him to
- 34:49Speaker 1: break up with her? Did you want him to do
- 34:50Speaker 1: it in increments? Because he couldn't. There's no other good
- 34:53Speaker 1: way of doing it, I thought, you know, they you know,
- 34:56Speaker 1: he handled the situation as well as he could, and um,
- 34:59Speaker 1: he did want to lead her on anymore. But the
- 35:01Speaker 1: thing was, I guess she never had a sign for
- 35:06Speaker 1: her to slow down in the first place. It's so
- 35:08Speaker 1: hard though, because then I agree because you're in paradise
- 35:13Speaker 1: and things move quickly. But at the same time, they
- 35:16Speaker 1: were probably hanging out at this point four five days maybe,
- 35:22Speaker 1: which I guess is an eternity in paradise, but it's
- 35:28Speaker 1: it's that is such a gray area to me where
- 35:31Speaker 1: I can understand, you know, Sierra saying, well, it's been
- 35:35Speaker 1: five days and in paradise, that's a very long time.
- 35:38Speaker 1: I wish I had more of an idea that the
- 35:42Speaker 1: your our connection was not as strong as I thought
- 35:43Speaker 1: it was. But then I can also see the other
- 35:46Speaker 1: side saying, well, it was so early on I wanted
- 35:49Speaker 1: to give this a real chance, and then it is
- 35:53Speaker 1: still only five days in before I ended up ending things,
- 35:56Speaker 1: ending things, which I felt was still pretty early on. Yeah,
- 36:01Speaker 1: it's hard. It's really hard when you're there in the
- 36:04Speaker 1: moment and you get to know these people and you
- 36:06Speaker 1: know the situation when you see it go down and stuff,
- 36:09Speaker 1: and then critique it. It's definitely easier to critique episodes
- 36:13Speaker 1: when you're not there. I know, we just have a
- 36:17Speaker 1: lot of empathy for everybody, and we like everybody. Uh,
- 36:21Speaker 1: And I guess that's it for the recap, But we
- 36:24Speaker 1: do have a couple of huge bachelor headlines. So we're going, well,
- 36:29Speaker 1: actually there's maybe just one huge one. Yeah, there's one
- 36:32Speaker 1: huge one, and we've got to talk about it. Right
- 36:33Speaker 1: after this break, we're back with headlines and this is
- 36:48Speaker 1: like my favorite Helloine ever? Did you know this? You know,
- 36:53Speaker 1: engaged Cla to Ryan Dawkins. She really came out publicly
- 37:01Speaker 1: with this relationship not long ago. I saw her in
- 37:06Speaker 1: June and she was seeing someone. Had to have been him, right,
- 37:12Speaker 1: I have not texted her like asking like was this
- 37:15Speaker 1: the guy yet? But either way, so thrilling. This woman
- 37:21Speaker 1: deserves I hate saying deserves love, like it's my least
- 37:24Speaker 1: favorite thing because I think that's everything. But everybody, everybody
- 37:28Speaker 1: deserves love. But damn do I root for Claire Crawley
- 37:33Speaker 1: to find love more than like a lot of people.
- 37:35Speaker 1: First of all, I don't think everyone deserves love, you don't.
- 37:38Speaker 1: There's some very bad people, but the majority of people
- 37:42Speaker 1: certainly do. Uh yeah, like you know specific because that
- 37:47Speaker 1: Jeffrey Dahmer thing is that does not deserve Okay, so
- 37:51Speaker 1: the majority of people in this world deserve love. But yeah, no,
- 37:55Speaker 1: super excited for Claire. Uh they I'm assuming i'd been
- 37:59Speaker 1: dating for a while and she us announced a relationship
- 38:01Speaker 1: because even if they were, yeah, it was like they
- 38:03Speaker 1: went Instagram official last month. Yeah, so it feels so
- 38:06Speaker 1: fast because of that, But I would assume that they've
- 38:08Speaker 1: been dating for six or seven months at least, which
- 38:10Speaker 1: you know, when you get to even you get to
- 38:14Speaker 1: sut of port in your life, you're like, Okay, we're ready.
- 38:16Speaker 1: This feels right, this feels good. Um, let's move forward. Yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 1: So he is mascot sports CEO, and yeah, I know
- 38:25Speaker 1: it sounds pretty big, right, I feel like I've heard
- 38:27Speaker 1: of it before. Okay, you looked that up. I don't
- 38:29Speaker 1: think we're thinking of mascot books. So we know mascots. Yeah,
- 38:34Speaker 1: we are book Lucy and Clark the story probably love
- 38:37Speaker 1: mascot books. Um. Yeah, So they got engaged in in
- 38:42Speaker 1: Las Vegas over the weekend. He got down on one
- 38:44Speaker 1: knee at the Rise Festival on Friday during a romantic
- 38:49Speaker 1: lantern release, which was far more romantic than the lantern
- 38:53Speaker 1: release that you saw Well's recap the other day. Um,
- 38:57Speaker 1: there was seven thousand, a ten D s Claire says,
- 39:01Speaker 1: she's over the moon and a People exclusive. This was
- 39:04Speaker 1: the last thing I expected, right, now, especially coming from
- 39:07Speaker 1: where I was a year ago. Think about where she
- 39:10Speaker 1: was a year ago. She and Dale were just like
- 39:12Speaker 1: a I don't even know if they were broken up
- 39:14Speaker 1: for the second time yet, She says, it's been such
- 39:18Speaker 1: a serious journey and Ryan has been been been by
- 39:21Speaker 1: my side since the very beginning. Um, she says, really,
- 39:27Speaker 1: what he's in it for is my heart, and he's
- 39:30Speaker 1: so consistent and so vocal about how much he loves me.
- 39:33Speaker 1: It is something I've never experienced. It's been such a
- 39:36Speaker 1: gift having him in my life. Uh so effing sweet.
- 39:44Speaker 1: He also, she says, She says he's the perfect match
- 39:48Speaker 1: to her, and I'm just so happy, you guys, can
- 39:53Speaker 1: you believe like what she went through in the past
- 39:55Speaker 1: two years and now she found her man, She found
- 39:58Speaker 1: her man. I feel I don't know this man. I
- 40:01Speaker 1: don't know this man at all, but I feel so
- 40:03Speaker 1: much more secure. When her and Dale got together, it
- 40:09Speaker 1: was like, oh this could. I hope it works out
- 40:12Speaker 1: because I know that she's ready. And then of course
- 40:15Speaker 1: that infamous interview with it was Chris where he's like,
- 40:20Speaker 1: what's next and by a base and Dale's like, oh, well,
- 40:25Speaker 1: oh well, you know, I don't know. I don't know.
- 40:28Speaker 1: This guy babies so good. It was a great classic
- 40:35Speaker 1: Bachelor moment. Now Claire is going to be a step mom.
- 40:38Speaker 1: It seems to Ryan's two girls that he has. I
- 40:41Speaker 1: love the fact that she's going to be like an
- 40:43Speaker 1: automatic mom motherly, so motherly she like she uh yeah,
- 40:53Speaker 1: I feel like she just is gives direction very you
- 40:58Speaker 1: know what I mean. Like she's gonna be those kids
- 41:01Speaker 1: are going to be doctors, you know what I mean.
- 41:03Speaker 1: She's gonna like set them on the right path. Yeah,
- 41:05Speaker 1: she's gonna be there every minute to make sure their
- 41:07Speaker 1: school work is done and that they have like they're
- 41:10Speaker 1: embedded at a certain time. And uh yeah, that's cool.
- 41:15Speaker 1: That's cool. I'm excited for her and for her fiance.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Very exciting. And another upcoming Bachelor alum wedding will be
- 41:23Speaker 1: Madison Pruett, who is going to get married in days,
- 41:27Speaker 1: literally within the month. It's wild. This was the crazy
- 41:30Speaker 1: fast engagement. They got engaged over the summer and they're
- 41:33Speaker 1: getting married in November. She had her bachelorette party this
- 41:37Speaker 1: weekend in Miami. She said the theme of the weekend
- 41:44Speaker 1: was Maddie's Last Slam Dunk, which is you know, a
- 41:49Speaker 1: play on the fact that she loves basketball. It was
- 41:52Speaker 1: at the Myami Beach Edition boutique hotel. She says it
- 41:57Speaker 1: was a dream uh that they had. They had cabana time,
- 42:02Speaker 1: They had dinner at the hotel before going to a
- 42:05Speaker 1: micro club. Did she play college ball? Yeah? Yeah? What
- 42:12Speaker 1: what are you smiling like that for? I'm not smiling.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I'm wondering if I could beat her one on one.
- 42:17Speaker 1: I don't think you could. Actually, I don't know, but
- 42:21Speaker 1: I think she's pretty good. Jared, No, she's really good. Yeah,
- 42:24Speaker 1: I'm just trying to think if I could stay in
- 42:25Speaker 1: front of her and see and Michelle. I'd like to
- 42:27Speaker 1: see if you could go one on one with she
- 42:29Speaker 1: and Michelle, know, not two on one, babe, Like you
- 42:34Speaker 1: play against one of them, then you play against the
- 42:36Speaker 1: other one and then the winners played together unless you went. Okay,
- 42:42Speaker 1: So a micro club, keep score, baby? What's a micro club?
- 42:48Speaker 1: Heading over to the basement? A microbe club that plays
- 42:53Speaker 1: homage to Ian? Oh to this to um studio. That's cool.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Oh they rented it out for skating and bowling. They
- 43:04Speaker 1: had drinks, desserts. If you guys care what Maddy Krewett
- 43:08Speaker 1: did on her Bachelor party. You can read more in
- 43:10Speaker 1: the People article. Jar is obviously not invested. All right,
- 43:14Speaker 1: that's it for this episode. We'll see you guys on
- 43:18Speaker 1: I think your next episode will come out on Thursday night.
- 43:21Speaker 1: You didn't want to talk about Rachel and Rachel and Zach. Oh,
- 43:26Speaker 1: this is a bullshit headline. This is Zach saying that
- 43:29Speaker 1: he felt some spark between Even and Rachel on the
- 43:33Speaker 1: finale when he interrupted the whole Tino situation. And let
- 43:38Speaker 1: me tell you, there's no There was no real spark.
- 43:42Speaker 1: That was a oh my gosh, you're making maybe look
- 43:44Speaker 1: so much better right now, I'm pulling you off stage
- 43:47Speaker 1: and I will probably never see you again moment. Uh yeah, Well,
- 43:53Speaker 1: because I've been on social just I don't see any
- 43:56Speaker 1: pictures of him and Rachel together. They've never hung out afterwards,
- 44:00Speaker 1: so it feels like that was a waste of time.
- 44:02Speaker 1: It is exactly why I said it was a b
- 44:04Speaker 1: s headline. Sorry, that's all touched on because I was like,
- 44:08Speaker 1: I saw the spark comment, and I was like, but
- 44:10Speaker 1: I don't see any like did they did they even
- 44:12Speaker 1: like hang out at any point afterwards? To read the
- 44:15Speaker 1: article verbatim you have read, says Zach says he noticed
- 44:20Speaker 1: chemistry between the two the last time I start heard
- 44:22Speaker 1: and Aven they had a little bit of a spark
- 44:24Speaker 1: on camera, love and respect. Aven want the best for them.
- 44:27Speaker 1: If it's a thing, it's it's spoilerer. It's just not
- 44:30Speaker 1: a thing. It doesn't feel like a thing. This is
- 44:32Speaker 1: not around Tyler Cameron. Is it a thing? Yea, because
- 44:38Speaker 1: those remember there was pictures the next day where apartment
- 44:41Speaker 1: or whatever, and uh, this was like they left. They
- 44:45Speaker 1: literally left the stage and were like, all right, cool,
- 44:47Speaker 1: that was fun. See you later, big gulps. Huh, well
- 44:50Speaker 1: see you later by but guys, oh until next time,
- 44:54Speaker 1: which will be a new podcast on Thursday evening when
- 44:57Speaker 1: Ben and I are together here at Audrey's Coffee House
- 45:00Speaker 1: and Lounge, were doing a live podcast. If you're in
- 45:03Speaker 1: the New England area and you want to meet Cassie
- 45:07Speaker 1: Randolph jil Chen and Ben Higgins. Cass is coming to
- 45:13Speaker 1: where Cassie California's going all the way. Oh my god,
- 45:17Speaker 1: I know I always feel bad when people coming like
- 45:19Speaker 1: it's a nice place that I love it so much.
- 45:21Speaker 1: It's really nice and the food is good and the
- 45:23Speaker 1: coffee is good, but at the end of the day,
- 45:24Speaker 1: it's a coffee shop. Like I feel so bad. I'm like, oh, well,
- 45:27Speaker 1: I just needs her to go to Newport. You know,
- 45:29Speaker 1: you gotta go to Newport, you gotta go to Westerly,
- 45:31Speaker 1: like make your time, to make the most of your
- 45:33Speaker 1: time here. But guys, if you're in the new area, sorry,
- 45:37Speaker 1: now I'm going because I'm like Newport. I was like, wait,
- 45:39Speaker 1: it was Cassie Newport and then I'm like, no, that
- 45:41Speaker 1: was Hannah season. So that was after because Hannah was
- 45:45Speaker 1: on Colton season, which was the season cass he was
- 45:47Speaker 1: on Wow, yeah, Hannah season. No, Colton was on Becca season.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Colton was on Sason I'm like, and then Hannah was
- 45:56Speaker 1: on colten season. Then Hannah became the Bachelorette, and then
- 46:00Speaker 1: that was obviously Tyler and Jed and Pylot Pete and
- 46:03Speaker 1: then he became the Bachelor. There's your recap of the
- 46:06Speaker 1: past five years. We'll see you guys at Audrey's on Thursday.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Love you so much. It's open to the public, y'all,
- 46:15Speaker 1: and seriously, love you guys. Come, come, come. People who
- 46:18Speaker 1: listen to this podcast, who watched the show, who don't
- 46:23Speaker 1: say any things about it, and I hope that you
- 46:25Speaker 1: guys don't again, don't want you to think that was
- 46:27Speaker 1: like a pity party of we're fine, we're doing well,
- 46:30Speaker 1: we're very lucky, we're so happy, we're so happy to
- 46:34Speaker 1: a party, and then people told us to get out,
- 46:35Speaker 1: and it was a little embarrassing to our faces. It's like,
- 46:38Speaker 1: we don't want you here. It's like, all right, never mind.
- 46:43Speaker 1: I wanted to like contact producers, be like, should you
- 46:45Speaker 1: guys just like edit this out, just let us leave.
- 46:48Speaker 1: We never say goodbye. They'll never realize that just because
- 46:53Speaker 1: even like, yeah, even tonight we have some stuff. I know,
- 46:56Speaker 1: I'm not We have a watch party at Audrey's, which
- 47:00Speaker 1: court everybody will be nice there, well know, and even
- 47:02Speaker 1: like you know Audrey our business it's like a kid
- 47:05Speaker 1: just like us. Well you know, it's a podcasta you know,
- 47:08Speaker 1: this is what we do on podcasts, and so of course,
- 47:12Speaker 1: like anybody who comes to Audrey's and supports our business
- 47:14Speaker 1: or small business, that's amazing, and please come and everybody
- 47:18Speaker 1: comes so nice. But yeah, I'm not gonna be watching
- 47:20Speaker 1: because I'm just gonna be so insecure. I don't know
- 47:24Speaker 1: how there's a part of it doesn't want to go tonight.
- 47:26Speaker 1: This is like a flashback to Jared, like being in
- 47:28Speaker 1: high school, the insecurities. There was a there was a
- 47:31Speaker 1: table in high school one time. Now, granted I didn't
- 47:34Speaker 1: have that bad of experience. I got bullied a little bit,
- 47:36Speaker 1: but yeah, but I had other kids that were bullied
- 47:39Speaker 1: way worse, and I felt terrible for them. And I
- 47:41Speaker 1: never stuck up for him because I would get bullied
- 47:43Speaker 1: a little bit, but I would never want that onto me.
- 47:47Speaker 1: You know, I never had the courage to stick up
- 47:48Speaker 1: for other people because I was too nervous. Then all
- 47:51Speaker 1: of a sudden, like I would get the full steam
- 47:53Speaker 1: of bullying. So but I remember this one time, it
- 47:56Speaker 1: was kind of it was it wasn't bullying, it was
- 47:59Speaker 1: just more I don't know. I guess maybe they didn't
- 48:01Speaker 1: know how I was insecure. But there was a circle
- 48:03Speaker 1: of hate about me. Um, I couldn't that sounds like
- 48:07Speaker 1: that I hate Rachel Green Club. It was a little
- 48:09Speaker 1: bit and um, yeah, I don't know why circle of
- 48:13Speaker 1: hate my poor baby. So I couldn't go. I remember
- 48:16Speaker 1: they went to Hooters after a football practice or something.
- 48:19Speaker 1: I couldn't go, and and uh, they were. They told
- 48:22Speaker 1: me they were very happy that I wasn't there, and
- 48:24Speaker 1: I think they were busting my balls. But this is
- 48:26Speaker 1: when I was very, very insecure, and so I wouldn't
- 48:28Speaker 1: call it bullying. But they called me and they told
- 48:30Speaker 1: me afterwards that they created They each one around the
- 48:33Speaker 1: table and said something that they hated about me. Yeah,
- 48:36Speaker 1: it's very remember any examples. One of them said that
- 48:39Speaker 1: they hated I loved Seinfeld so much and that I
- 48:42Speaker 1: said I wanted to be like George Costanza because I
- 48:43Speaker 1: always joke around, be like I wanted to be like George,
- 48:45Speaker 1: like he lives a big lie. It's very funny. And
- 48:47Speaker 1: of course I would say this year old Jared was
- 48:50Speaker 1: still wanted to be George Costanza until this day. Yeah,
- 48:53Speaker 1: and then that's the only one that stuck out to me.
- 48:56Speaker 1: And then I think somebody said they hated that I
- 48:58Speaker 1: tucked in my jerseys when I because I used to
- 49:00Speaker 1: go I remember I tucked in and were jerseys to school,
- 49:04Speaker 1: and uh, I mean like you used to wear and
- 49:08Speaker 1: Tom Brady jersey, Paul Pierced jersey, you know, just local
- 49:11Speaker 1: Celtics or Patriot players. And I would tuck him into
- 49:14Speaker 1: my jeans, but then apparently that was not cool, which obviously,
- 49:18Speaker 1: looking back, I'm like, why did I tuck in my jerseys?
- 49:21Speaker 1: Oh my sweep boy. Oh that's quite all right, but
- 49:26Speaker 1: now we're just reliving it all good, alright, now we're
- 49:34Speaker 1: actually signing off until next time. I've been Ashley and
- 49:38Speaker 1: I've been jarried by. Followed the Benn and Ashley I
- 49:42Speaker 1: Almost Famous podcasts on I Heart Radio or subscribe wherever
- 49:46Speaker 1: you listen to podcasts
