- 1:17[SPEAKER_28]: And then if things go well and they want him there, President Trump would meet with the two of them as a trio.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_28]: And that's notable because Vladimir Putin has not been willing to sit down with Zelensky.

- 3:11[SPEAKER_05]: I'm sure they stand for something.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_05]: I just don't know what it is.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_05]: Pure Talk, on the other hand, is a veteran-owned company that supports our military in a big way.

- 5:19[SPEAKER_26]: a cool day with the high just sixty five.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_26]: Then Thursday, clowns and son of Shaolin spots much warmer, a high jump it back up to seventy nine with your acumen of the forecast on meteorologist Jason Katarina on the news and talk authority am twelve forty WATN.

- 5:37[SPEAKER_13]: There's no doubt about it.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_08]: uh... what's going at well temperatures are cooler now i mean i'm looking out the window i can see some of the trees are really not uh... fairing well because of the lack of rain you don't normally think of you think of watering your flowers but trees need water too and a lot of them are really getting dried out so if you have the means to do it i guess you should you know last night the council meeting i see council and chemical brought that up and i think it's good of them didn't we just hire an arborist or a tree spurs
- 6:27[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, why isn't that person sitting over here talking about trees into that microphone?
- 6:33[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, we don't do things that way in the North Country.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_08]: Seven, five, five, twelve, forty the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_08]: What else is happening?
- 6:44[SPEAKER_08]: We've got the, you know, I hate to traffic in rumors, but
- 6:53[SPEAKER_08]: I heard a story this morning from a respected source in the media, and he didn't have enough confirmation not to go with it, but we don't have any standards at the hotline, so I will.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_08]: This is a story running around, and again, it's unconfirmed, but that Assemblyman Scott Gray, soon to be former florist, is going to bowl this weekend.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_08]: at the White House, you know, they have a couple of lanes.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_08]: I remember there was pictures of Nixon bowling there and all that.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think President Trump bowls, but I think the lanes are still there.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_08]: And two of these two lanes.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_08]: But I guess something, you know, he's tight with Tom Holman.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_08]: The borders are.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_08]: So Assemblyman Gray.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_08]: The story is that he's going to be bowling at the White House this weekend.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_08]: I just don't.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_08]: I wasn't aware that was a perk that was offered.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know who you would bowl with.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_08]: Because like I said, I don't think the president bowls.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_08]: And he's pretty busy there.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_08]: Well, anyway, kind of interesting.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_08]: They're looking for raccoons in the city.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_08]: The animals, the rodent like animal.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_08]: Sometimes you see him around.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_08]: U.S.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_08]: D. A. Fallon United States Department of Agriculture stopped by this morning on Pearl Street and was telling me that they do these surveys or senses if you will.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_08]: Looking for raccoons to see if because apparently you know some of them are rabid obviously.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_08]: So they want to know if they could set a trap on my property and they want to do a one square mile area.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_08]: I hadn't heard of this program before.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_08]: probably woefully ill informed uh... could be another side of cognitive issues but uh... i said you might not so sign the thing he said they don't kill them they just tag them and take a blood sample and send upon their way so that's fine uh... but uh... i said i saw a couple of raccoons maybe a month ago during the day across the street on the lawn yeah i haven't seen too many
- 9:18[SPEAKER_08]: for a while about three or four years ago, we had a lot of animals over on Pearl Street, a lot of deer, but you don't see it much anymore.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_08]: They're around the city.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_08]: I was up around, uh, drove through Thompson Park, yes, I think it was yesterday or day before.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_08]: And there was a deer standing right by the side of the road, just didn't flinch at all, just standing there.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_08]: And I drove real slow pie because I didn't want to jump out in front of me.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, but, um, yeah, they're a lot of them up there.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_08]: The whole community is a zoo, right?
- 9:54[SPEAKER_08]: Now, let's see what else is going on.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_08]: We've got last night at the City Council meeting.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_08]: They introduced and seconded and set a public hearing for September, seconded on this local law that would repeal the prohibition on retail weed, cannabis dispensaries and licensed ones.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_08]: We so far the city has
- 10:18[SPEAKER_08]: And the city manager, make sure the local law was written so that it did not lift the band on use.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what the big problem.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_08]: If you're selling it, I can't use it in that store.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_08]: Somehow, they just want to cling to regulations.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_08]: That's the thing out of these bureaucrats.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_08]: So anyway, I don't think there'll be any great number.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, the lady from Substance Abuse, who we used to have on the show, I haven't seen her in ages.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_08]: She said the council last night that there's twenty-five illicit marijuana retailers in the city.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if there's that many.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_08]: It was quite a few.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_08]: But you see by allowing the illegal ones, you can still virtue, say, no, then say, well, we're keeping our pot out of our town.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_08]: So, but anyway, that's gonna come up with the next beat.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_08]: Nobody watching the Ashing of Teeth over that.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_08]: Back in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in
- 11:40[SPEAKER_08]: Can you stop people from obviously if they were guessed in your house?
- 11:43[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, you know, people can't smoke in there if you don't want them to.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_08]: But what about, you know, on your property or your business or something?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_08]: Can I stop people from smoking weed in my parking lot?
- 11:57[SPEAKER_08]: No, I guess you can't.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_08]: Can't stop them from doing anything.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_08]: Even even fornicating, you can't stop that.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know, so the weed thing comes up at the next meeting.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_08]: Other things, some last night's council meeting?
- 12:12[SPEAKER_08]: Well, not too much.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_08]: They turned down or defeated the one or two resolutions setting rates for ice time at the
- 12:25[SPEAKER_08]: Arena, Councilman Kimball was concerned that the figure skaters were paying more per hour than the hockey players, yet hockey players do more damage by banging into the boards more often than I don't know.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_08]: We'll see.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_08]: They also defeated that resolution on granting privilege to a law firm to testify.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my goodness.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_08]: A couple of speeches last night, the usual stuff.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_08]: Um, another thing, it came out yesterday that they were released yesterday and there's a couple of letters, um, from, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in,
- 13:27[SPEAKER_08]: Councilwoman Regeros presiding over the meeting last night.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_08]: He raised some interesting questions there, but they weren't, they weren't answered.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_08]: But anyway, the media was given copies of the letters that went to those two officials.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_08]: And they didn't really mention the letters didn't mention any council members.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_08]: The letters mentioned a private citizen and mentioned some possible criminal charges, but that was it.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_08]: We're not going to say that on the air because we're not going to get into that.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_08]: But that was an interesting part of the media meeting if you want to review it.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_08]: I check channel seven at new and they led with a network piece on Trump.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_08]: And I have another piece on how tariffs are hurting everybody.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_08]: I'm sick of these stories in the paper about Canadians aren't coming here, traffics die.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_08]: There's no reason to hate Canadians.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_08]: Nobody does.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, these stories in the media about... Oh, well, yeah.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_08]: It's a dispute over tariffs, and that can't trade.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_08]: It's not anything bad, so I'm tired of reading those stories.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_18]: I thought they were going to bring up the road on the ethics thing for Cliff last night.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_08]: It was brought up in the motion or the resolution was defeated.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_18]: Okay, I didn't know what you seemed to be telling anything about it.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_08]: Well, the media is kind of keeping that on the down low.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know why.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it's just part of the meeting, but they are.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_18]: So there no longer are good as a continue with it then.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I wouldn't say that.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it can be
- 15:18[SPEAKER_08]: whether this granting of privilege was necessary for the process I don't know but they still have a prosecutor employed and uh... i don't know if they'll pass this uh... particular resolution or bring it up again to the next meeting uh... that'll be up to the mayor and i guess doctor kimble so uh... i didn't hear you mention that that uh... i'm sure it was my accident that's what handed out his uh... password to the local news and newspaper itself yeah
- 15:47[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what that was all about.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_08]: It would seem to me if the news media had access to something they quote, shouldn't.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_08]: I can't say anything.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_08]: Why would they object to that?
- 15:59[SPEAKER_08]: They're in the information business.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I guess they became aware or somebody became aware of it and the password was changed or I don't know what the password was too.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I don't know what it gained access to.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_08]: You know, most of the stuff that they list is secret things and secret meetings, there's nothing that really is all that worthy of secrecy.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_08]: There's very few things that the public shouldn't know.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't know.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_08]: I thought that was part of the mayor's transparency program.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_18]: to get out, you don't want to meet another man.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I don't think there's that many personalities who's really, you know, it depends on what it is, but yeah.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, you're not looking to slam anybody.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_08]: You know, it's, it can't slam an employee.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_08]: Of course, you can say whatever you want about the elected officials and slander them in any way you want, but that's, that's a different story because they're elected officials.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_08]: They don't have no rights.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_08]: Ain't Scots, no rights.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_08]: Nope.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_08]: Well, thank you so much for calling.
- 17:15[UNKNOWN]: All right.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_08]: Bye now.

- 17:30[SPEAKER_08]: Just the weather changing, is this a... Did you enjoy the heat wave?
- 17:35[SPEAKER_08]: I think most people did.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_08]: have we heard anyone say it was an old fashioned summer you know how the way they always say an old fashioned winter if it's a cold yes an old fashioned winter yeah well nobody said it was an old fashioned summer but uh... seven tri-five how many of you have been to a cannabis dispensary i was it's obviously uh...
- 18:09[SPEAKER_08]: I haven't, I have, yeah.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_08]: I went to the one out out of Bradley when they first opened.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_08]: Got a sweatshirt, and I wear it sometimes.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_08]: But, I don't know, I haven't been out to Eddie, Eddie Trenney's house of weed yet, or the one in them.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_08]: There's the one in Evans Mills.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_08]: I've got the big science down on factory street.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_08]: It's funny, you got the big signs advertising that you should go to Evans Mills to buy weed when you can buy weed right in the view of the same signs.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_08]: It's all crazy.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_08]: It's all crazy.

- 23:41[SPEAKER_08]: And finally one named Delilah.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_08]: Now, trying to remember it was Samson and Delilah, but Delilah was in the Bible, right?
- 23:51[SPEAKER_08]: Book of Hebrews or something.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_08]: You biblical scholars.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not quite sure the whole story.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_08]: What is the whole story on Delilah?
- 24:02[SPEAKER_08]: I know there's a song.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_08]: Not a very common name.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think I've ever known a woman named Delilah, have you?
- 24:12[SPEAKER_08]: Well, there's some biblical reference, and I just don't know what it is.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_08]: Well, probably not going to, there's no biblical scholars in our audience, either.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_08]: Somebody sent me a text of the picture of President Nixon bowling at the White House.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_08]: Looks like quite the boulder there on that photo.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's because of the rumor of Scott Gray bowling at the White House this weekend.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, um... Okay, nobody knows what Delilah.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_08]: I was, I tried to look it up here on... Hmm.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_08]: Song is, uh, Delilah, it's Samson's hair.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, a lot of his hair wasn't it?
- 25:11[SPEAKER_08]: You know, the only thing you can do is ask, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
- 25:40[SPEAKER_08]: Delilah, woman from the Valley of Sorak, whom Samson loved, she was brimbed by the Philistines to discover the secret of his strength.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_08]: The betrayal, after deceiving her several times, Samson eventually revealed that his strength lay in his hair, while he slept Delilah, had his hair cut leading to his capture by the Philistines.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_08]: Ah, man.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_08]: So, she cut his hair.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_08]: And that led to Samson's downfall.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_08]: Um, well, something.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_08]: You're on the hotline.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I'm Mr. Mayor.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_16]: I see you found out who the writer was.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I guess it's a story of betrayal, then, right?
- 26:27[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_16]: And there was a movie.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_16]: Remember back in the mid-sixth season when you had like Moses and the story of the Bible.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_08]: Yep.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_16]: And Spartacuson.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_16]: There was a movie about it and everything.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I knew it was.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_16]: I know a Bible expert in nothing but I knew that story.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_16]: And the song was Tom Jones.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, the Liza.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah, I remember that.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_08]: Yep.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_08]: That was a good song, yeah.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_08]: So Delilah is somebody who, um,
- 27:09[SPEAKER_08]: Well, she was helping out the Philistines in terms of disabling Samson, right?
- 27:13[SPEAKER_08]: Is that the whole deal?
- 27:16[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I think she was the bad girl that Samson was a good guy, and she was the bad girl.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_16]: Well, women, you know, the... Well, I said, do this at all and move you about it.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_16]: You could look that up and maybe watch the movie here.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_08]: Well, the thing is, I mean, they always do that to women.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_08]: They make the...
- 27:37[SPEAKER_08]: the guy or he's a macho guy or something and he yeah would have victim mature was in the movie I think wasn't he?
- 27:46[SPEAKER_16]: That's a long time ago well yeah he was back in the movie days that's about the same error when he was a big star yeah yeah yeah well the girl is usually the uh the evil one uh at least in the movie is there you know about that stuff
- 28:08[SPEAKER_08]: So why would you name your daughter, Delilah, then?
- 28:10[SPEAKER_08]: That's not a flattering thing, isn't it?
- 28:14[SPEAKER_16]: No, I don't know.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_16]: What's a pretty name kind of sort of has a good ring to it?
- 28:21[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_16]: Well, I wouldn't.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_16]: But if I would name your son, there's a name out there.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_08]: uh... something like that yeah i don't know what to say but the themes of strength seduction betrayal and downfall and it's a lot of cultural references to it uh... grateful dead to the song on it well uh... uh... so it sounds like a city council meeting yeah there was a cease-to-be to middle biblical epic in nineteen forty nine samson in delilah
- 29:03[SPEAKER_08]: And then there was a Australian film in two thousand nine.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_08]: The theme has been adapted into TV miniseries and animated stories.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_08]: Raiders and poets often use Samson and Delilah as short-hand for betrayal in love.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_08]: There you go.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_16]: Sounds like a silly council meeting.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_16]: I'll let you go now.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_08]: Temptation, treachery.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_08]: and the destructive potential of desire.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think that's city council.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_08]: There's no.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_08]: I might be some treachery, but there's no desire there.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, that's July.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't see the movie, no.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_08]: Somebody sent me the like a poster for.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, Eddie Lamar victim mature.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_08]: Angela Lansberry was in it, well, in technical.

- 40:33[SPEAKER_19]: He's not going to question anything Mr. Cole tells him I don't think.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_10]: Well, John.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_19]: I don't think John Boner for a Kamala.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_19]: I'd be surprised.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I don't think he did either, but you know most of the rest of them probably never voted, but I can tell you.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_19]: Hey, you probably ready, but the liberal nonsense on channel subunits ridiculous.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.
- 40:59[UNKNOWN]: Where is Scottie?
- 41:00[UNKNOWN]: What do you do get pushed out, Mayor?
- 41:03[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, well, I don't know about that.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_08]: No, I think he retired.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_08]: He's no, he's no spring check and he's like the rest of it.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_19]: local loose let's see under the major network and on the national issues here.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_08]: Okay well I you know I'd like to see more of that but yeah and that doesn't seem to be the well you know I hate to say it because I do like Diane but she's very liberal she's a big Kamala supporter and and we she doesn't like Trump at all yeah but I see to do some of live interview she does ask questions she does ask good questions yeah
- 41:41[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, she's good journalist in many ways, but she's she's she's very good.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_19]: You know, I see to do some live interviews, we have follow courses, which you don't see for most of these book kids working.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_19]: The news business now they're all the other all kids bought pretty much.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_19]: The old hard knows news people are pretty much gone.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I know.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_19]: Remember Mike Wallace, Mayor?
- 42:04[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah, I met Mike Wallace, yeah.
- 42:06[UNKNOWN]: Hard knows.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_08]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 42:37[SPEAKER_08]: I never heard, really, I haven't heard anything from this Monaco guy.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't know about the other ones, let's see.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_08]: I know Osborne, Velasquez, and, you know, Garrett, but I think they all voted for Kamala.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_19]: Oh, did you see the dog park shut down at Pasta and Mayor?
- 42:51[SPEAKER_08]: Really?
- 42:52[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_19]: Oh, sorry.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_19]: I asked you to go to your suit against the city.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_19]: Dog park shut down at Pasta and everybody.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_19]: I don't know what happened.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_08]: Well, no.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, man.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_08]: Bye.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_08]: All righty.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_08]: Well, a good day here from our friend there.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_08]: The angry guy.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon around the air.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_14]: How you doing?
- 43:19[SPEAKER_08]: Good.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_14]: I was listening to the five o'clock show and I noticed you're taking an awful beating about your letter.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_08]: No, I don't know who's beating me.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_14]: There's a few, there's a few of your colors, there's a few of the twelve o'clock in five o'clock colors that called the shell last night.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_14]: We're wondering, they're crushing line of crushing to Glen was, where were you when all this was going on and wherever you and they were spending all kinds of money on the pool or the golf course like you didn't care that they were on a sleep spending manner whatever and now because
- 44:00[SPEAKER_08]: I think I was a part of it.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_08]: I was sick.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_08]: I had a doctor's excuse.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_14]: Well, I just think that, you know, I agree with your lawyer and I think it was the right thing to do now.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_14]: One of those guys that's coming out and saying anything in the... Well, I'm sorry people.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_08]: If people were trashing me, I'm going to show that's okay.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_08]: I got broad shoulders.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_08]: That's all right.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_08]: Anything else on your mind?
- 44:29[SPEAKER_15]: just want to let you know that you know you're trying to take a beating in regards to that uh... just wanted to tell you that i support is a letter that's all right well good for you right i thank you for your uh... kind words uh... i don't have to do it on the air yeah that doesn't have to do my food in the successful dog parks all across the country so whatever but uh... that was uh... the addon family and the monsters i watched them both and loved them both but
- 44:54[SPEAKER_15]: Like the monsters, one strength glimmer has gone.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_15]: They could never recapture that match.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_15]: But the adult family has kind of, their movies have been good.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_15]: And they've got that Wednesday series.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_15]: It's very popular now.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_15]: You know, it's on the second season.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_08]: What do you think of, well, who's your favorite Adam's family character?
- 45:18[SPEAKER_15]: Well, in the original, in Mauritia, obviously.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_15]: okay okay well yeah obviously when she was a little young at that time but uh it was that that freaked me out when I found out I got always thought because it was a black and white that the Adam family was older than it was and when I found out like she was only like five years older than me I was like whoa is that look is back in though
- 45:45[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, it's never, it's since he said that yesterday, since the eighties it's never left you.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_15]: It's just, you know, maybe up here, you're not seeing it as much, but that's been part of society ever since, you know, that when the adult family's movies came out, that was where everyone got, was coming in big.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_15]: And, you know, so that's always been a certain part of the population.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_08]: Now, how do you feel about God?
- 46:04[SPEAKER_08]: You like it?
- 46:05[SPEAKER_08]: I like it.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_15]: Well, sure.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_15]: I'm a metal head, so yeah.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_15]: It kind of goes with my head.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it can be overdone, you know.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_15]: anything can you see the people at eight thousand uh... there's things in their faces like yeah i don't want somebody who looks like pinhead or whatever uh... yeah and over to anything but like my grandfather always said for life everything in my generation he didn't live it but he always said it in my generation and you live a good life yeah uh... he had a little too much cotton patch in pommel well i know some people uh...
- 46:41[SPEAKER_08]: You know, a lot of people, well, I'm just looking at some pictures here of various renditions, various people dressed as, as Wednesday.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't know.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we'll find out.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_15]: We'll find out.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_15]: Thank God.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_08]: Thank God you got some other topic on your mind.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we're trying to.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_15]: But as far as not knowing the people, it's old men yelling at the clouds.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_15]: That's what happens every generation and the new generations bring their stuff in.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_15]: You know, you're reminiscing what you had, I guess.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_08]: Sounds good.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, good one.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_08]: All right, thank you.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_08]: Alrighty, well, that's the, you know, who he is, right?
- 47:20[SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_08]: Nice guy.

- 50:21[SPEAKER_08]: Now outside on the outside, we expect a high of seventy.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_08]: It's seventy four right now.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_08]: It says cloudy, but it looks a little bit like some sun shines peeking through there.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_08]: And then a chance of a chance of rain after nine o'clock tonight.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_08]: And really, if you look at tomorrow, the high of the sixty six.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_08]: Then it warms up towards a weekend.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_08]: A picked in weekend coming up pretty much except for Sunday, maybe a little cooler.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_08]: And then.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_08]: You know next week, we got a couple of sixty-nine degree days in the seventy-two.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_08]: It's starting to ease back, but still, it's good pool weather, all of that stuff.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_17]: Good afternoon, Mayor.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_17]: I was looking at some pictures of the day of water pound days gone by, and a pitch come up.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_17]: I'm sure you remember this.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_17]: Remember the waiting pool of the time some park?
- 51:14[SPEAKER_08]: Oh yeah, I can remember it as a kid.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_08]: I think I'm resent it.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_17]: several times that wouldn't remember to that.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_17]: Why didn't you ever take that?
- 51:23[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, the do-gooders.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_08]: They said it wasn't healthy.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_08]: The department of health is something.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_08]: It was kind of dangerous because there was moss in it and you could slip and fall.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_08]: But that was Victorian era air conditioning.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_08]: Go up there in the ladies in their hoop skirt and stand there and they'd cool off.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_17]: Well, I just wonder what happened to that because maybe they ought to think about doing something like that again.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_17]: I have great memories to go in there as they can.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_08]: Good day.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_08]: Bye now.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, everybody is much chance of that to see you in a hoop skirt again.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_08]: But after you do here on the air.
- 52:00[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, I have a couple of questions and I don't know if you've covered it because I turned in late.
- 52:04[UNKNOWN]: Last night at the council meeting, there were three resolutions that were turned down because it was two to two vote.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm.
- 52:12[UNKNOWN]: One, two of them were for the ice time and whatnot.
- 52:15[UNKNOWN]: They've remits for the hockey association.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_08]: there's one I understand they can bring it back to the table again if they want that involved the attorney client for which things well it could be reintroduced okay without the ones for the contracts for the hockey group and the figure skater can they be reintroduced or they'll have to go back to rather defeated i mean they could be I assume the council is looking for some kind of addressing of their concerns over price disparity and they will uh... maybe uh...
- 52:51[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know, it was kind of like apparently somebody sent an email of accounts and members at like five and a half year noon and they all went kind of whatever over it.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_08]: That would seem to me to be a discussion you were doing.
- 53:02[UNKNOWN]: We thought they had, as they shown in Kimball said, we thought we had discussed that last year and come to an agreement that it should be more equitable.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_08]: And then they find no dollar for our difference in the group.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_08]: So you want you to water your tree too.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_08]: normally gets stressed and start losing leads about this time of year anyway because holes coming well yeah but it has been especially dry I think it has but yeah you're going to spend the spend more money with the city on your water bill if you start watering your street trees so okay because most of the waters it's going to run off down the street exactly and if you look at those trees most of them are planted where they're not going to grow well anyway because they're on top of the service line sewer line so
- 53:48[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_10]: And a curb and they're getting hit by all the stuff from the cars and wait till we get hit.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_08]: So did you watch the meeting?
- 53:54[SPEAKER_08]: You must have watched it last night.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I did.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I did too.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_08]: And do you get involved in the commentary on the right side of the screen?
- 54:02[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_08]: Some of that's funny.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_08]: Some of it.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_08]: Some of it.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_08]: Some of it.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_08]: I guess so was there anything about the meeting you really liked or didn't like?
- 54:19[SPEAKER_08]: how about uh... well resherl was uh... chairing last night because the mayor was yeah she did fine yeah she did share a couple of times before but at least once anyway when the mayor and so that there's no problem i'm okay i'm i think she shared if i'm correct at one point when you're up there and that meeting went really well it's all
- 54:45[SPEAKER_08]: I was short meeting back in that era short meeting was a blessing I'll tell you because they went on forever anyway I don't know but I'm really disturbed about the way the money is being spent and I'm really happy that you wrote that letter because it comes from someone official that was in a different capacity that's kind of been away from it okay well we'll see I don't know I'm you know certainly
- 55:17[SPEAKER_07]: way back that I can't even remember the date of the meeting when Smith and Pauline were arguing to beat the band over some.
- 55:25[UNKNOWN]: Right.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_07]: And Smith just says, well, I'm filing an ethics complaint and you can see him just word it out out of anger.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah, yeah.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_07]: Point behind it, other than if you went back and saw that, it was just worded out out of anger.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_08]: Well, my, my feeling was the genus, it'd be interesting to find out the genesis of all of those things.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_08]: And I think it mostly came from that attorney they had at the time.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_08]: They wanted to get fired.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_08]: And I think there's a lot of stuff there.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_08]: And what Councilwoman Regerra raised last night about, how did you go from
- 56:04[SPEAKER_08]: a letter to test James about private citizen and then all of a sudden it becomes an invest state police investigation of sitting members of council.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know what were that evolution occurred, but you remember the old game passing on you say something and you tell the next person and by the time it got to the
- 56:28[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_08]: I don't really know much about.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not really supposed to talk too much about it, but it did go on last night, so we can't ignore reality, I guess.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_08]: Well, thank you.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_08]: Go water your tree.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_08]: Thanks.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_08]: That's right.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_08]: If you have the means to water your tree.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_08]: But cost everything going up.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_08]: How can you afford that luxury?
- 56:57[SPEAKER_08]: I guess if you're a doctor or something, yeah, I can, but in the rest of it's a Ford, the extra cost of watering our trees.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_08]: I'd like to do it.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_08]: I just hope for rain.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_08]: I guess there's gonna be a little bit this weekend, so maybe that'll help the trees out.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_08]: And maybe that new arborist.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_08]: Was it an arborist?
- 57:18[SPEAKER_08]: Is that what you call?
- 57:19[SPEAKER_08]: And now you're a tree expert recently.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_08]: You should be challenged while the water of the trees,
- 57:27[SPEAKER_08]: Not a council member, but we appreciate the doctor.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_08]: I guess it's the healing spirit, Dr. Kimmel has he.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_08]: He feels the pain of not just people but trees.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_08]: Seven, five, five, twelve, forty, the phone number.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_08]: We got time.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_08]: If you want to chime in here, we've talked about the weather enough, so we don't have to talk about that anymore.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_08]: And let's see, something going on at the sac, it's Legion.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_08]: Um, whether you're going on.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, Sanchez Harbor bash.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we can't talk about prizes or anything because that's raffles and you can't talk about that.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_08]: But, uh, oh, can't really talk about this at all.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_08]: Sorry.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_08]: Can't talk about it.
