- Apocalypse Ventures: Morning. The following audio transmission will forever change your album on society. You will no longer believe the narrative. You are about to wake up and see things for what they really are. Facts and opinions. This is the Doom Daily Show. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Doom Daily Show. I am your host, Jester Dooms the email. Doom Daily Show at gmail.com. For you it's Friday morning, and you're waking up, you're turning on the show, you're about to do your damn thing knowing that this is your last day of work before the weekend. If you're fortunate enough to not work the weekend, some of us are, some of us are not. I work every other weekend ⁓ now at the prison, so I get every other weekend off, and then I work five days. So I have these 12-day work week runs, which are a little bit brutal, but you know, you know, ladies and gentlemen, look, let me tell you something here. My job at the prison is relatively easy. It's just mentally exhausting. There's not a lot of physical labor involved in this job. So, with that being said, you could do that job on little sleep. But good luck staying awake sitting on your ass for 12 hours. It is extremely difficult to do. And I'm outside recording in the truck today. I've got the windows down, so you're probably gonna hear trains and planes and dogs and crickets and other Fucking random things because I'm not at the studio. And I've really been holding off on bringing the studio to the house. I don't have room for the studio equipment here at the house, although I do wish I had a studio here. That might be something that gets explored in the very near future because I can't do this shit anymore. I can't not have a studio. It's about to be summertime, it's gonna be 100 degrees outside, and I'm gonna have to go to the studio just for the sake of recording in the AC. And not being out here, because the kids are nuts. They make too much noise. They won't be quiet and let me record. My wife is very snarky, ladies and gentlemen. When I say, Hey, I need quiet, I have to record a show, or I'm doing something for social media. She gets shitty with me. And my response is Do you think that having the kids in the background yelling and screaming is good for the show? And it's like there's no answer to that. There's no rebuttal. It's just dirty look. So you have to, you, you, you have to go do something. Okay. All right. Well, you know. So if I had if I have to go to the studio, it's gonna be a problem. If I tell the kids in the house to be quiet, it's gonna be a problem. So I think what would be least problematic is just finding a quiet place around the property to record, which is why coming out to the truck works so well. Okay, so I woke up, went to work, had a decent day at work, wasn't a very crazy day, but we had a lot of calls in the county today. And, you know, a lot of false calls. That happens, you know, and that's something that nobody in emergency services really Talks about. You don't hear a lot about that. A lot about the false calls, like how many times you're dish dispatched and then they clear you before you actually make it to a scene. Like dispatch calls in, you're running emergency traffic, things are going crazy in haywire, and then you're almost there, and then they call your unit off. And it's like, ⁓ clear, back in service. And then you're like, fuck. Like I didn't even get to make it there. Drove, you know, heart rates all up, sweating profusely, flying down the highway, running red lights and shit, and then next thing you know, clear. ⁓ shit. There goes my excitement for the day. But I mean, it's good to be clear. Like in all reality, we don't want to see anybody get hurt. We don't want to see anything bad happen. But it's like, man, just at least let me get there and you know, I'll be happy if it's a splinter and I get to be like, Yep, that's a splinter. We've identified the issue with this person, you know, and now we fix it or whatever and send them on their way. I mean to me, like at least let us be there to be helpful for something. Like I don't want to see anybody get injured, but it's just like, man, just you know, some follow through would be awesome sometimes, I guess. You get all hyped up, you know, and then it's this letdown. It's like, ⁓ man. And there's a lot of calls like that where you're like, ⁓ man, this is this is gonna be a good one. We're gonna get to put in the work and test our knowledge and skills and really help somebody and make a difference. And then it's like, ⁓ no, it was an accidental call or ⁓ no, it's you know, nothing's wrong. It's fine. You get to go home or go back. space or whatever. And when I first got into ⁓ you know, ⁓ law enforcement years ago, ⁓ I I really didn't know that was a thing. Like it never crosses your mind. Like I understand, you know, you get false calls and things, but you know, hearing somebody dispatch something out over the radio and then you showing up and there nothing to be there, I'm like, well, that's disappointing. And then it keeps happening, you're like, well, that's disappointing. And you're like, man, there's a lot of false calls. I didn't think this job would be like that. Anyway, so came home from work, ⁓ had chicken salad, you know. Nothing fantastic, but ⁓ chicken season with taco seasoning, so it was really good. Then my wife and I decided we were going to shred 30 pounds of chicken, approximately, give or take a pound of two. And we did this because I I like the ability to be able to keep things in the freezer, pull them out, thaw them out, cook them with little to no effort. So we got a bunch of chicken breasts from Sam's club, and we decided to shred 30 pounds of chicken today with the meat grinder. And I'll tell you what, it's ⁓ it's a really easy process. I think doing 30 pounds of chicken took us approximately 30 minutes. And now I have a ton of individual bags of chicken that are probably somewhere in the neighborhood of a pound and a half apiece. Right. So that like one of those, just pulling one of those out and eating that for a day is like my daily protein intake. That's all I need. Okay, so this is good. This is a good thing for me. So I can keep that protein up. I could just eat a bowl of chicken, throw some vegetables in with it, get my protein up, get my nutrients up, take my Supplements that I take, which I don't take a lot of stuff. I basically take some B supplements and I take, ⁓ I eat my Spartan bee bread every day that has my omegas and stuff like that in it. Which one day we'll get a little bit more in depth into what the Spartan bee bread is, but that's not gonna be a today thing, ladies and gentlemen. So now I'm sitting out in my vehicle with you guys recording. I'll probably end up going to the store, getting some wine, and probably jumping on the clapper social media. But if you're not following me over there, you should be following me over there at Jester Doom's. Come and Shoot the shit with me, talk shit. That's what we do over there. We sit down, we listen to music, we talk shit. Yeah, last night we played some country music, stayed up to about 1 30 and ⁓ had a good time. It's a really nice, lovely time. And what's cool is every once in a while, ⁓ like I I've got my regular people that come in there all the time, but every once in a while I'll get like a new a a new person that comes in that is a listener. And they're like, Yeah, I just wanted to see what this is about, or hey, I listen. I wanted to chime in and say hi, let you know who I was. And then sometimes I keep talking to these people and sometimes they just fade away. You know, but it's all good. Anyway, we'll be right back after these messages. Can't get enough of Jester Dooms? Check out his other show, It's Doomsday Podcast, available on all podcast platforms. That's It's Doomsday Podcast. Back to the show. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Doom Daily. Producer Scooter, how the hell are you today? Doing fandamastic. Thank you for asking, Chester. All right, good. So I find myself in a bit of an emotional struggle today, okay? And I don't really want to go into do too much detail of why I'm annoyed and pissed off and stressed out. And I'm I'm not gonna divulge details or names or any kind of things like this, but I gotta tell you a little bit about why I'm annoyed. Have you ever dealt with a person and you see them doing everything wrong all of the time, making the worst decisions, getting themselves in tons of trouble, just bad, bad, bad all the time. Okay. I've had multi I have multiple people like this in my life. To where it it doesn't matter what you say to them. It doesn't matter if you tell them, hey, dude, this is against the law. You can't do this. This is gonna get you into a shit ton of trouble. This is not the correct way to go about this. If you do this, you're gonna get you you're gonna fail. Like, you know, just just listen. I'm trying to help you. Okay. And that person acts like they know more than you do. For whatever reason, you know, they just, they act like they know more. ⁓ and they in in all honesty, they don't. They don't logically know more. They have, they don't have the experience that you do. They haven't been through the circumstances you have. Like you've literally, they don't have your knowledge, your mental ca capacity, anything. They don't have it. They don't possess it. They just don't. Right. And you look at them and you're like, you're, you're just, you're directly trying to get yourself put in a sling here. You're directly trying to get yourself in trouble. I had a friend. I still have this friend. I have a friend. Okay, and he has gotten DUI after D UI after D UI after D UI. I think he's up to like eight. Okay. And every time he got himself into a shit ton of trouble, it was always, I'm done drinking this time, dude. I'm done drinking this time. That's never gonna happen again. Blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, yeah, dude. Well, I hope, I hope this time that's the case, right? And there were so many arguments I had with this individual over the years of like, dude, you can't just wake up at seven in the morning and crack a beer. We have to go to work. And it's not a good look for us to go to work with you smelling like alcohol. And it's, ⁓ no, it'll be fine. You don't know what you're talking about. Nobody cares. Right. Okay. And then I actually, well, my wife was pregnant. We went fishing. It was me, my wife, who was pregnant at the time, ⁓ him and his girlfriend. Well, he gets wasted. And says he's fine to drive. Like he can't speak, he can't walk. And I'm like, I you are not driving, dude. I'm not getting in a fucking car with you with my pregnant wife. Are you fucking stupid? And he proceeds to argue with me like it's no big fucking deal. That he's fine. He drives drunk all the time and it's okay. Dude, I got news for you. It's not okay. It's not okay with all. And it was this super long, loud, drawn-out argument. For me to assume get the keys from him to drive us home safely because I didn't drink anything. All right. Now, this is after he's already had DUIs. This is after he's already learned the consequences of his actions. And me seeing him get these DUIs over the years, and getting himself put in jail and thrown in the clink and everything else. Like this is after I've seen it. I'm having this argument with you. This wasn't before him getting a DUI. Now, ladies and gentlemen, how much how much sense does it make? That I have to argue with somebody for the safety of my wife and my unborn child. And do you understand the level of frustration that comes with that? What essentially ended the argument was, dude, I'm not gonna fist fight you for your fucking keys. It is this simple. If you want to get into that fucking vehicle, you are doing so by your goddamn self. And if something goes wrong, you end up killing somebody or whatever else. you can live with those goddamn consequences because the rest of us we're getting a fucking uber and you better believe I'm gonna try to get those keys out of your damn hands before we're gone. And it wasn't until I started getting out my phone to get an Uber where he was like, fine, you could drive. Because I think part of the allure in the argument for him was how far can I push this argument? How long can we keep this going? Can I eventually win this argument? Well you're not going to because I'm not gonna circum to that bullshit. Now, a lot of you are probably like, well, I can't believe you're still friends with the guy. Ladies and gentlemen, a lot of people get down on their luck, and I have a big heart and I really care about people tremendously. Okay. So I understand, you know, people get bad into drugs and alcohol, and they they have a really hard time pulling themselves out of these circumstances. When you have a friend that's a problem alcoholic, you know bad things are going to happen. You prepare yourself for them, which is why I knew we were leaving in a vehicle. To go fishing, Jester didn't drink anything. So one of us could be sober to drive us back. Cause I knew that was coming, right? If I didn't know I could handle it, I wouldn't have fucking went. Now the dude has since did a good stint ⁓ in a rehabilitation facility and he is not drinking anymore. And I'm super proud of him for not drinking anymore. And I think this is the longest since I've known him that he's gone without drinking. And I'm happy to I'm happy to be able to see his journey and see him come out on the other side of it victorious. Okay. And if I would have ended my friendship with him that night, I would never be able to s I would have never been able to see the progress that he's made, how good he's doing today, and how he can actually sit there and talk about how bad his struggle was with other people and potentially help them. So I am happy to still call him a friend, even though, you know, fighting and suffering through all the bullshit, because no things are perfect. But I find myself dealing, ⁓ I'm I'm in a lot of circumstances with people like this. Okay, to where it's every day I'm I'm seeing this and I I have a big heart. I care about people, and I don't want to see my friends make shitty mistakes and see them get put in a bad position. But what I find out that happens to me in these circumstances is I find myself getting extremely stressed out because I can see what's coming. I can see that that what's going to happen to this person and how bad they're failing. Like I can see it, right? I can I can physically without a doubt see it. Right. And I always try to push to the point of, you know, I'm I'm either gonna get this person to listen to me so I can save them, or when they start getting nasty to me, I I just kind of I kind of just pull myself out of it when it starts getting bad. And I mean, this is probably gonna be part of my personality for the rest of my life. I'm gonna see a person failing and falling. And I'm gonna be there to try to pick them up because that's what I feel the right thing is to do. And I'm not gonna go into, you know, a religious, preachy sort of aspect because that's not the type of guy I am. But if you truly have good morals, if you truly have good values, if you truly have a good heart, if you truly care about someone around you, you let them know what's wrong. You don't ignore it and watch them fail. That's evil. That's like insidious. You don't do that. You let that person know, dude, you got a problem. I want to help. Or, dude, this is very bad. You shouldn't do this. I want to help. Or, dude, these are the consequences. If nobody's told you yet, this is what could happen. Because that's what being a good person with moral values and being a true friend is. We'll be right back after these messages. Jester from It's Doomsday Podcast and the Doom Daily Show here. Ugh, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the Doom Daily Show. The email, Doom Daily Show at gmail.com. Ladies and gentlemen, strive for greatness. Okay. There is so much bullshit going on in the world right now. ⁓ and I I it's election season. I mean, it's it's ⁓ it's about to get way fucking worse. It really truly is. It's about to get very, very bad. And I see a lot of people ⁓ pulling some really weird shit out of their ass and like the new trending thing I'm seeing right now is people identifying as seasons. And I'm not fully comprehending why this has become a thing. And I'm not fully un I'm not fully comprehending why this I can identify whatever I as whatever I want is now being accepted. I was actually having this conversation with my boss today. I said, I don't understand why this is becoming the new normal. Okay. I I don't get it. I don't get it at all. But I have a theory. And I think that and this is the theory. I think our country is so plagued with mental health issues that they know that the government knows they can't all be addressed. We don't have the resources for it. We don't. Okay. We just we flat out do we don't have enough psychiatrist, therapists, counselors. We don't have enough. We do not have enough. So I really think at the end of the day, when a lot of people are coming out and and they're having these medical issues, it's like you know, they're just they're They're kind of pigeoning these things along. We've talked about the money-making aspect in this and how you have to get on these forever drugs and stuff. But I really do honestly, truly 100% think that they're pigeoning this because they don't have the resources to deal with the underlying problems. So it's easier just to say, sure, if you want to identify as a tree, identify as a tree. Now, the one really thing that's interesting about people that have mental health issues ⁓ is somehow they're all experts. Somehow. They all know everything about every medication, they know everything about every mental health facility out there, they know everything about the DSM five, they know everything about the doctors, they know every fucking thing, and they s they know so much more than you do, other than how to deal with their own issues. How the fuck does that work? How I'm not saying I'm normal by any means, but I am certainly not mentally defective, okay? But how can you come at somebody, and and I'm seeing this across the board with a lot of people that have these these different things. Like I work with somebody who is an expert in every like mental health drug, knows about all of them because they've been on all of them. Okay. And I understand if you're on a med and you want to take the time to do the research and you you memorize these things and you learn these things, that's great, awesome, good. You should absolutely know the chemical compounds that you're putting into your body. You absolutely should. You should know what that medication is intended for. You should know what it Does you should know all those things? But you should also be working on curing your mental health issues, not ignoring them, not just saying, hey, I don't have that problem anymore that I had a month ago and it's gone. So I see people in their lives kind of just ignoring the issues that they have and ignoring the responsibilities that they have to their mental health issues. Because, ladies and gentlemen, look, here's the reality. Mental health issues just don't fucking disappear overnight. And a lot of people out there who have these issues think that way. They do. And they don't. And nine times out of ten, they're thinking this way because their issues are not being addressed, right? So they're in this like delusional kind of everything fine, everything is fine kind of state. Because they're not seeing what's really going on because they're not properly caring for their mental health. So You can't be licking windows a week ago, all right, or painting the walls with your shit a week ago and say, you know what? I haven't painted walls and shit this week. I haven't licked the window this week. I must be cured. It doesn't work that way. Guys, you have to strive for greatness. And the reason why I'm saying this to you guys, the listeners specifically, is mainly due to one reason. Okay. And that reason is, is if you stop progressing forward, if you quit caring about yourself, we all have been through past traumas. We all have dealt with a shade of depression. We ⁓ we all have dealt with circumstances that have made our hearts weigh heavy and hurt. And you guys know as well as I do that there are certain things that will reignite these feelings and changes. Okay, there are certain things that'll do that. There are certain things that'll make that happen. Okay. So it's very important that you maintain that good center focus, that you maintain that good mental health, that you keep boundaries in place against these things that upset you and act make you. Go nuts, essentially, right? Like that's that's what's important, not ignoring these things, but making sure you're prepared to deal with come whatever may. And take everything I say with a grain of salt, because am I in no way a mental health provider? I'm just telling you what I've seen in my life, and I'm telling you it is very good to take care of yourself and to not ignore these issues that you or a friend may face. You know? Anyway, we'll be right back after these messages. Hey, producer Scooter here. And if you've made it this far, I just want to commend you for diligent listening skills. But also, I want you to take a moment, since you've come this far with us, send an email to doomdaily show at gmail.com. Let us know where you're listening from. If you have any ideas for something you'd like Jester to address or talk about, send us an email. That's Doom Daily Show at gmail.com. Thanks for listening. Welcome back to the Doom Daily Show. You know, I'm just gonna keep going on this kick because I'm fired up about it today. Like I'm fired up about this today. So, you know, toxic people are toxic people. And toxic people remain toxic. They don't typically change. All right. And you do have some people out there, and I would I would love to know, you know, it I'd love to walk, I'd love to just walk around inside their brains and see what goes on. ⁓ I want to tell you a story about a friend I used to have, okay? So I had this friend. We knew each other through scouting when we were really little. Now, when you're when you're a kid, it's really hard for you to identify if the kids around you are normal. I mean, if the kid if you have a friend that's running around with his with his pants around his ankles and he's trying to screw the dog while he's licking peanut butter off a doorknob, like, yeah, you know there's something wrong with that kid. It's clearly a parent, right? But you know, when you're a kid, you're you're extremely impressionable. So you can't understand if you have a friend that's manipulating, that's using you. That's lying to you. You you don't know, right? And especially back in the day and age when you didn't have a cell phone in your pocket and you didn't have computer access or internet access. If your friend told you something, you automatically assumed it to be a fact. You didn't know about fact checking. You didn't know you can go back and look this information up. General things you knew though. If your friend told you, you know, you can't drown if you submerge yourself in water for 10 minutes, you know he's full of shit, right? Things like that that are blatantly obvious, like you know the sky is blue. You know, but when your kids, if your friend tells you, hey, there's an ancient Russian tunnel system underneath my house that leads to Washington, DC, and we live in ⁓ Wyoming, you know your friend's full of shit. Today you would know that when you're a kid, you'd be like, Really, can we go see it? Because you don't know any better. And as a child, that's how things were with this friend and I. you know, I didn't understand as a kid how much bullshit he was like pushing and forcing in the things he was saying, right? And then When we turned about, I don't know, 13, 14-ish years old, I started to see that the level of toxicity that was there. And it stemmed from hanging out with him and other friends. And my other friends telling me, like, you know, that dude talks shit on you every time you turn your back, right? And I'm like, nah, he's been my friend for years. You got, nah, he wouldn't do that. Like, he's my buddy, man. And it's like, no dooms. Every time you turn around, he's talking shit on you. Your family, like, you really shouldn't hang out with this fucking guy. We can't fucking stand him. Right? And okay, all right, maybe I'll read into this a little more. So I I started kind of listening to the things he said and and kind of started to pick up on how smug he was and how he would turn his nose up when I would say things and you know, this, that, the other, and and found out it it was it wasn't just, you know, my friends that couldn't stand this guy. It was a collective group of people that couldn't stand this guy. Basically, we went to different high schools, so we didn't have any sort of mutual friends within school. But when I started seeing the the circles of people that he hung out with outside of school, and people asked me, they're like, Jester, you know this guy? And I'm Yeah, I've known him for years. And you fucking hang out with him? Dude, he's bad news. And I'm like, I don't see it. And then when we were when we were somewhere around the age of like 14 or 15, something like that, somewhere in that neighborhood, he did something at his house. And blame me for it. I wasn't there. I didn't have anything to do with it, you know. And ⁓ you know, his parents are giving me shit. And I'm like, I wasn't even there. I don't know what you guys are talking about. And they're like, Well, he said you fuck this up at the house, and I'm like, I wasn't even there. And they're like, ⁓ you're a liar. And I'm like, Okay, I'm being called a liar because I don't know what happened because he's lying to you. Okay, this is a really good fucking friend. And I cut him off at that point. Well, lo and behold, time goes on. I turn 17, 18 years old. This dude just shows up at my fucking house one day. We haven't acts like we haven't skipped a beat, like we saw each other yesterday. Ladies and gentlemen, I didn't see this dude in so long, I didn't even recognize who he was. I didn't even call him by his right name. I was so confused who this dude was because I haven't seen him in years. I totally forgot he even existed. Right? And he just starts coming around. And after so much time has passed, you know, the the gravity of what people do, we tend to forget. We tend to let our guards down and we let them back into our lives. Well That's exactly what I did. And from the time frame of like 18 to 20 years old, this dude continuously burnt me in circumstances. But he was that one friend. He was that one friend. If you would if it was 3:30 in the morning, you were broke down on the side of the road, he'd drop everything he was doing to come get you. And you remember how a couple episodes ago we talked about those toxic friends that would just stop everything they were doing, fuck over everybody to come help you? That's who that is. Like, ⁓ I'm helping my dad, you know, put in his fucking pacemaker. Nope, I gotta stop and go help my friends. Just go ahead and die, dude. I'll see you later. Yeah, I mean, obviously that wouldn't be a thing, but you know what I'm saying. So I cut the dude off again when we were in our early twenties. Okay. I move away, I move out of state, I bounce around some different states. He knows I'm gone. He starts making phone contact with me very casually. There's no outside influence. I don't hear the shit talking again. You start letting your guard down. And so he starts coming back around. I see the toxicity again. And I'm like, okay, look, maybe, maybe I should be his friend. Maybe this is just how he is. And I'm the only friend he really has. I'm the only person that cares about him. So maybe I should just tolerate this, but just keep my guard up and keep him at a distance. Me trying to be a good friend again. You know, trying, trying to. So he is a groomsman in my wedding, and I warn people about the guy. I warn, like I say, hey, listen, don't get too close to this guy. He's very toxic. He's here because he is my friend, but you have to maintain distance with him like I do. Okay. I'm mainly telling this to my brother that I did not grow up with that I didn't meet until 2014. Okay. So I'm telling my newfound brother this that I've only known for a short period of time. That, hey, dude, look, man, don't get too close with this guy. Well, my brother doesn't take his advice or my advice, and he does. So my biological mother. That I've met a handful of times, maybe seen her three or four times in person. I barely know this woman. I I didn't meet her till 2014. I I really do not know her. This dude's met her once, decides him and his girlfriend are gonna travel across the state to go move in with my biological family, whom I don't really know that well. And decides he's gonna talk shit on me the whole entire time he's in that house. To the point where I have my brother and my mother and people calling me saying, you need to come up here and deal with this. And I said, I don't need to do shit. I said, I forewarned you guys about this. And ⁓ that's it, right? And I cut the dude, I cut the dude off again, but this was the final straw. And he did what he always does, and he waits for some time to pass and then tries to get a hold of you. Now I've gotten new phone numbers since then, everything else. This dude is a bloodhound and will track you down. I had to threaten getting law enforcement involved to get this dude off my ass and leave me the fuck alone. It got that bad. Ladies and gentlemen, the moral of the story is if you find someone in your life who is toxic, let them be toxic, but fucking stay far away from them. Don't put yourself in this position of dealing with the toxic people. And that's it. That's it. Scooter, I'm out of here, man. Thank you once again for producing another episode.
