  Speaker 1: i check but i think it's one more chapter in

  Speaker 1: the book of john and we're gonna really really um

  Speaker 1: celebrate the fact that we went one chapter at a

  Speaker 1: time through the book of John and devoted some time

  Speaker 1: in the mornings or part of your day, amen, to

  Speaker 1: take some scriptures out from each chapter. So that's all

  Speaker 1: glory to God, amen, for his grace and his mercy

  Speaker 1: and for him allowing us to do this, amen. It's

  Speaker 1: an amazing God that we serve. He's an amazing God

  Speaker 1: that we serve. John chapter 20 verse 29 today, John

  Speaker 1: chapter 20 verse 29, and this one is called Don't see,

  Speaker 1: yet believe. And I'm going to read the verse. I'm

  Speaker 1: going to re-quote Jesus, what he said.

  Speaker 1: Don't see, like you don't see it, but you still believe.

  Speaker 2: Yet believe.

  Speaker 1: That's an amazing act of faith right there. Jesus is saying, listen,

  Speaker 1: you don't have to see everything. When it comes to
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: the Lord, God is saying, you don't have to see everything.

  Speaker 1: You have to believe what I'm doing. Believe what he's doing.

  Speaker 1: Believe before you see. That's the way believers walk. We

  Speaker 1: move different because we don't have to see it all
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: of the word. We don't have to know all of

  Speaker 1: the word. We know that all of the word is

  Speaker 1: in us by way of Holy Spirit. So therefore, we

  Speaker 1: believe before we actually see. As long as it's lined

  Speaker 1: up with the will of God.

  Speaker 1: us to move a certain way, we're going to move

  Speaker 1: that way before we even see it. Walk on that water, amen,

  Speaker 1: trust Jesus, and you'll get to the other side.

  Speaker 1: Father, I thank you for your gift of faith. Thank

  Speaker 1: you for the gift of love, grace, and mercy. Thank you,

  Speaker 1: Lord God, for saving us, rescuing us, keeping us, and

  Speaker 1: knowing that we can trust in your word. We know

  Speaker 1: that what you say in our hearts and our minds

  Speaker 1: and through your word will never return back to you void, empty,

  Speaker 1: without power.

  Speaker 2: Your word is all-powerful. You are almighty. You are omnipresent.

  Speaker 1: You are everlasting. Your love is everlasting, and we give

  Speaker 1: and guard. Set forth your arcane angels for every single

  Speaker 1: person that's connecting now, who will connect later, who's watching,

  Speaker 1: Scripture here is John chapter 20, verse 29. Jesus said

  Speaker 1: to him, and he's talking to.

  Speaker 2: Disciple Thomas, I believe.

  Speaker 1: We have to read the whole chapter to get this

  Speaker 1: all in context, but I extracted this because the Lord

  Speaker 1: led me to extract this part. Jesus said to him,

  Speaker 1: because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: those who have not seen and yet have believed. Some
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: versions and translations say more blessed are those who have
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: not seen and yet And we know this is a straight.

  Speaker 2: Talk to faith.

  Speaker 1: This is a straight and narrow talk about faith. Because

  Speaker 1: Jesus is saying, people don't have to see me to
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: believe in me.
• 5:08
  Speaker 2: It's obvious.
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: We, on this side of eternity, we never saw, in
• 5:14
  Speaker 1: the time that we're living, we never saw Jesus face
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: to face in his physical form.
• 5:21
  Speaker 2: Like, that's obvious. We don't even have to debate.
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: But he says, blessed are those who have not seen
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: him in the flesh, his miracles, his ministry. We didn't
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: see that, right, in the physical realm. But we're experiencing
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: his finished work, his ministry, right now in the spiritual realm.
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: And yet have believed. The Bible says we're blessed.
• 5:48
  Speaker 2: Amen?
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: So, the book of John looks at the story of Thomas.
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: Thomas needed proof. He needed evidence.
• 5:57
  Speaker 2: He was one of those guys. He says, I ain't
• 5:59
  Speaker 2: going to believe until I see it with my own eyes.
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: That's what Thomas was saying. If I don't see it
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: with my own eyes, I'm not going to believe. And listen,
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: his stance could be a lot of our stances. A
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: lot of times, people won't move in the direction that
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: God wants them to move because they don't see, they
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: don't feel safe And when they don't feel saved, that
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: means you're not really trusting.
• 6:25
  Speaker 2: Or let's put it to me.
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: If I don't move in a direction that God wants
• 6:29
  Speaker 1: me to go, am I really trusting God?
• 6:31
  Speaker 2: No. Amen.
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: So I'm learning just to move according to.
• 6:36
  Speaker 2: How God wants me to move. Right. And you could
• 6:39
  Speaker 2: do the same. And we don't have to see way
• 6:42
  Speaker 2: out in front before we move.
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: If we trust in Holy Spirit God, if we trust
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: in his leading, if we trust the Lord's word, If
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: we trust the Father.
• 6:52
  Speaker 2: We're going to move forward.
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: And we're not going to have to see it all
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: to believe it all. If that makes any sense, right?

  Speaker 1: So people are blessed. I'm blessed when I move. And

  Speaker 1: it's exciting too because you're like, well, I'm hearing the Lord.

  Speaker 1: So let me just do what he says and leave
• 7:12
  Speaker 1: all the consequences to him. Leave the outcome to him.
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: You have to learn that. I'm learning that.
• 7:17
  Speaker 2: Amen. As I move forward by faith. It's all faith.

  Speaker 2: This is all faith. It's all faith. Amen.

  Speaker 1: God, can you wake me up in the early morning
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: so I can do these morning devos? God, can you

  Speaker 1: give me the words to say? God, can you help

  Speaker 1: me out with this live stream and the mic? It's

  Speaker 1: all faith.

  Speaker 2: It's all faith. Amen.

  Speaker 1: I didn't know what I was going to be actually
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: saying or doing this moment last night. But I was

  Speaker 1: believing and trusting that God's going to help by way
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: of his spirit.

  Speaker 2: Amen.

  Speaker 1: And you can do the same. I don't know what
• 7:51
  Speaker 1: you're going through, obviously. I don't know your story, obviously.

  Speaker 1: But God knows every single thing about you. He knows
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: your every single step, your every single move, your thoughts.

  Speaker 1: And he loves us anyway. And he loves you anyway.
• 8:04
  Speaker 2: So move accordingly. Amen?

  Speaker 1: God wants you to move. So Jesus is talking to
• 8:11
  Speaker 1: a certain disciple, Thomas. And Jesus wanted Thomas to know
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: or to see Before he would believe, right?
• 8:22
  Speaker 2: Thomas wanted that.
• 8:24
  Speaker 1: Jesus wanted him to believe before he sees, but Thomas
• 8:27
  Speaker 1: wanted to see before he believes. So he needed physical evidence.
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: How many people are like that that you know? I
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: used to be like that all the time. You got
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: to show me. I don't believe until you show me.
• 8:37
  Speaker 2: I need evidence. I need proof.
• 8:40
  Speaker 1: Physical evidence that Jesus had truly risen from the dead.
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: But when Jesus appeared to him, Thomas finally recognized the truth.
• 8:50
  Speaker 2: Why?
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: Because although Jesus had no obligation, zero obligation to prove
• 8:56
  Speaker 1: anything to Thomas, Jesus said, alright, I'm going to value
• 9:02
  Speaker 1: you so much that I'm going to humble myself and
• 9:09
  Speaker 1: take your request to heart and let you feel my
• 9:12
  Speaker 1: resurrected body.

  Speaker 2: Right?
• 9:16
  Speaker 1: Jesus then gave us a powerful reminder from that point.

  Speaker 1: Faith isn't always about seeing first, right? Faith isn't always about,
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: I need the proof now before I move. He says,

  Speaker 1: faith isn't always about seeing first. That's the powerful reminder
• 9:36
  Speaker 1: that Jesus was letting the disciples and Thomas know.
• 9:38
  Speaker 2: He's like, go ahead. Do what you got to do
• 9:41
  Speaker 2: for your proof. I'm right here.

  Speaker 1: And if you read the scriptures, Thomas was like, wow,
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: my Lord and my God, right? Because he was like,
• 9:51
  Speaker 1: this is amazing.

  Speaker 2: You are who you said you are. You did what

  Speaker 2: you said you was going to do. Amen. And you
• 9:58
  Speaker 2: have come back from the dead. You are resurrected. It's amazing.

  Speaker 1: You got to read the whole chapter of John chapter 20.

  Speaker 1: So there's going to be, of course, moments in your life,

  Speaker 1: moments in my life when we pray and we don't

  Speaker 1: immediately see the answer to the prayer.

  Speaker 2: Right?

  Speaker 1: Everybody that I know has gone through that. You're probably
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: going through that right now. And I'm here to encourage you.

  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit wants to encourage you. If it's the will
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: of God and he promised you something and you're praying
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: about it, or maybe you're in trouble and you're praying
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: for help and you're not seeing it come yet.
• 10:37
  Speaker 2: It could be financially, relationships. Your child might be going wayward.
• 10:42
  Speaker 1: You might be going wayward and you're praying yourself back
• 10:44
  Speaker 1: to the faith, back to the kingdom.
• 10:46
  Speaker 2: Trust God. Hold on to that promise.
• 10:49
  Speaker 1: I know there's a lot of distractions going on in
• 10:52
  Speaker 1: this world, social media, all of that.
• 10:54
  Speaker 2: That's why I always suggest.

  Speaker 1: might be saying, well, I'm praying. Is God hearing my prayer? Well,

  Speaker 1: that's a loaded question.

  Speaker 2: Is he hearing you?

  Speaker 1: That's a loaded question because if you're in relationship with

  Speaker 1: the Lord, yes, he hears you. If you're wayward from

  Speaker 1: God and you're doing things that are separating you, God
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: doesn't separate from us, we separate from him. Our sin
• 11:33
  Speaker 1: separates us from a holy God, right? Then you might
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: want to adjust things to make sure, or you can
• 11:41
  Speaker 1: do this, go to a person, a brother or sister
• 11:44
  Speaker 1: in Christ that you know, although they're not perfect, but
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: they're lined up scripturally, biblically, and they have a relationship
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: with God, ask them to help you in prayer.

  Speaker 2: Join you in prayer.

  Speaker 1: Pray for you right there on the spot, and the
• 11:57
  Speaker 1: Lord will hear the prayer of the righteous. So you're

  Speaker 1: not going to see, you might not see it all

  Speaker 1: the time, how God is going to provide, how God
• 12:08
  Speaker 1: is going to move.

  Speaker 2: You might not.

  Speaker 1: Understand why he's doing what he's doing or why God
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: is allowing what he's allowing in your life.

  Speaker 2: Right? Right?

  Speaker 1: You might be thinking, is God even moving on my behalf?

  Speaker 1: But not seeing something doesn't mean that God is not working, right?

  Speaker 1: Although I don't see it, God is still working. I'm

  Speaker 1: not up 24-7. I don't have all eyes seeing, you know,
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: all everything that the Lord is doing, obviously. But I'm

  Speaker 1: trusting he's doing a great work and a good work
• 12:42
  Speaker 1: in the hearts of every single person who calls upon
• 12:44
  Speaker 1: his name to be saved, to be redeemed, to be restored,
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: to be Made well in their body.

  Speaker 2: Amen. Physically, emotionally, and spiritually, he's doing it all. Right?

  Speaker 2: He's helping people with their mental illness right now. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Autism gone in the name of Jesus. He's doing a

  Speaker 1: great work right now. Miracles all over the world right now.

  Speaker 1: I don't see it all, but I know he's doing it.

  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit is showing me the miracles that he's doing
• 13:11
  Speaker 1: right now in the lives of people around the world.

  Speaker 2: Amen. And it's amazing.

  Speaker 1: But not seeing doesn't mean God isn't working, right? That's
• 13:21
  Speaker 1: a lesson I had to learn. And I'm still learning
• 13:24
  Speaker 1: as we're growing in grace, right? And you might be
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: still learning this too. Some people are further along in
• 13:29
  Speaker 1: their faith. I know people who are further along in
• 13:31
  Speaker 1: their faith, trusting God in ways that I'm like, I
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: want to get to that place. I want to be
• 13:36
  Speaker 1: that guy that trusts so much in the Lord, amen,
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: that they move. And they do things, you know, they
• 13:43
  Speaker 1: claim buildings, go into meetings, And come out the meeting
• 13:48
  Speaker 1: owning something, amen, a business, a building, a ministry, a church,
• 13:54
  Speaker 1: because they have the faith so powerful, that tiny faith
• 13:58
  Speaker 1: of a mustard seed that will really move things forward
• 14:03
  Speaker 1: in our favor.
• 14:04
  Speaker 2: I want that type of faith. I like when children pray.

  Speaker 1: When children pray, and I've seen it in my own eyes,
• 14:12
  Speaker 1: they pray for people's tumors, like cancer to be healed
• 14:16
  Speaker 1: and all that.
• 14:17
  Speaker 2: And these people will get healed. Why?

  Speaker 1: Because the kids are praying to the Father without asking questions.

  Speaker 1: They're saying, well, so-and-so needs help. God, can you help
• 14:28
  Speaker 1: this person, heal this person? And it's incredible that that
• 14:33
  Speaker 1: type of faith moves the heart of God.
• 14:36
  Speaker 2: Amen?

  Speaker 1: The kind of faith that grown-ups have, at least for me,

  Speaker 1: trying to figure things out while I'm praying.

  Speaker 2: That's not the way. That's not the way. Amen? I'm

  Speaker 2: rebuking myself. Live in the morning, Devo. And I pray.

  Speaker 1: I'm not supposed to be praying, trying to figure things

  Speaker 1: out and praying to God as if I'm helping God out. Hey, God,

  Speaker 1: let's do it this way. No, I should be praying

  Speaker 1: with a childlike faith. Although I'm not doing childish things

  Speaker 1: because I'm.

  Speaker 2: A man now. I'm a grown in the faith. Amen.

  Speaker 2: Growing in the faith.

  Speaker 1: But a childlike faith, meaning that when I go to

  Speaker 1: the Father and pray, when I go to the Lord

  Speaker 1: and pray, when Holy Spirit prompts me to pray, I'm
• 15:12
  Speaker 1: just praying and leaving all the consequences to God.

  Speaker 2: To the Lord. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Because I can't figure it out. You can't always figure
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: it out, but God has it all figured out. That's

  Speaker 1: the point about faith and moving. That's the point he

  Speaker 1: was trying to, well, that he did show to the

  Speaker 1: disciple Thomas.

  Speaker 1: Thomas was like, I need proof. I need evidence before

  Speaker 1: I believe. You know, he was acting just like any

  Speaker 1: person would act in that situation when he heard that

  Speaker 1: Jesus was resurrected, but he didn't see it for himself,
• 16:02
  Speaker 1: so he wanted evidence and proof. And I'm going to
• 16:05
  Speaker 1: say it again. Jesus had no obligation to prove anything

  Speaker 1: to anyone, but yet he did that for Thomas.

  Speaker 2: He'll do it for you sometimes. He'll do it for
• 16:15
  Speaker 2: me sometimes.

  Speaker 1: He doesn't have to always answer the why quite.

  Speaker 2: Why are you letting this happen, Lord? What is going on, Lord?

  Speaker 1: He doesn't have to answer. We have to show up

  Speaker 1: and show faith in him and trust that he has
• 16:28
  Speaker 1: the best plan for our lives, a perfect purpose for
• 16:30
  Speaker 1: your life and for my life. God doesn't ask you

  Speaker 1: to understand everything, right? That's the beautiful thing about God.

  Speaker 1: God is not saying, you figure it out.

  Speaker 2: You're on your own.

  Speaker 1: No, he's not asking us to understand or figure out

  Speaker 1: everything before you trust in Him. He just wants us

  Speaker 1: to trust. He wants us to believe. Even if we

  Speaker 1: don't see it, believe anyway. He asks us to trust
• 16:55
  Speaker 1: in Him even when you don't have all the answers.

  Speaker 2: That should be easy for us, right?

  Speaker 1: Because I could truly and honestly admit I don't have
• 17:04
  Speaker 1: all the answers. People ask me questions and all the time,

  Speaker 1: and I don't always have the answer, and it's okay.

  Speaker 1: I'm not God, but I always, my default, I say,
• 17:14
  Speaker 1: let's see what the Word says. A lot of people
• 17:16
  Speaker 1: don't like that because they're like, oh, the Bible. The
• 17:19
  Speaker 1: Bible's not relevant. Some people really think that the Bible,
• 17:22
  Speaker 1: the Word of God, is not relevant, that it's ancient,
• 17:25
  Speaker 1: it's outdated. But listen, the Bible is real daily, relevant daily,
• 17:32
  Speaker 1: always true.
• 17:33
  Speaker 2: For all eternity.

  Speaker 1: So, I had to lean in to let you know,

  Speaker 1: been church hurt. So they feel because they've been church

  Speaker 1: hurt that the church that they were attending, worshiping and fellowshipping,

  Speaker 1: has failed them. That's a matter of opinion.

  Speaker 1: They go past that layer of hurt, they could go

  Speaker 1: right back to the Lord And realized the Lord.

  Speaker 2: Wasn't there to hurt anyone. Right?

  Speaker 1: So it's not Jesus, our Lord, that's hurting people. It's

  Speaker 1: people making decisions based on other people's decisions that are

  Speaker 1: causing strife. division, hurt, pain, suffering. Sometimes it's something that

  Speaker 1: I've done that got me hurt in the church. It's

  Speaker 1: something that you've done that got you hurt in the church.

  Speaker 1: Church hurt is a reality. The reason why I know

  Speaker 1: it's a reality is because people are people. Are we

  Speaker 1: Man will fail, but God never fails. So I never

  Speaker 1: heard a person that says, Jesus failed me. God failed me.

  Speaker 1: The word is not true. I tried this and it

  Speaker 1: didn't work. I've never heard that. I never heard an

  Speaker 1: honest person say that.

  Speaker 1: I've heard atheists say that. Oh, I tried this and

  Speaker 1: the word didn't work. So why should I believe? Because

  Speaker 1: they're not connected to the source. Why would you think

  Speaker 1: something's an appliance or a computer for saying, if I'm

  Speaker 1: in my studio and I'm looking at my computer and

  Speaker 1: it's not turned on, And I'm like, why isn't this working?

  Speaker 1: Why is it working? It's hooked up to the source,

  Speaker 1: but I didn't turn on the power. That's a word

  Speaker 1: right there. The source is the outlet, the power, energy

  Speaker 1: going through the thing. But if you don't turn on

  Speaker 1: the screen, sorry, there's a fly in my face. If

  Speaker 1: you don't turn on the power of the screen and

  Speaker 1: of the computer, right, you're not going to see the

  Speaker 1: evidence that this thing is working, right? but we are

  Speaker 1: always connected to the source. If you're born again and

  Speaker 1: you trust in Jesus, we are always connected to the source.

  Speaker 1: And the source, by way of Holy Spirit, is always

  Speaker 1: turned on. It always has power. He always has power.

  Speaker 1: So we don't have to worry about, oh, I got

  Speaker 1: to get this to work before I believe that it's.

  Speaker 2: Going to work. No, it's always working because we're always connected. Amen?

  Speaker 1: Your circumstances may be changing today, and it might be

  Speaker 1: changing slowly, and it's okay. God knows the proper time,

  Speaker 1: the perfect time for him to release something in your

  Speaker 1: life and in my life, because he knows that if

  Speaker 1: Pride sometimes gets in the way of people who are

  Speaker 1: financially blessed, but God knows our hearts. So before he says,

  Speaker 1: over your family, over your ministry, over your church, over your,

  Speaker 1: you know, whatever the case, let me make sure they're

  Speaker 1: ready to receive it because God's not going to bless

  Speaker 1: us financially with this tremendous breakthrough. And then have that
• 22:39
  Speaker 1: breakthrough destroy us. When you see ministries that are explosive financially,
• 22:46
  Speaker 1: just proceed with caution because it could be a couple
• 22:50
  Speaker 1: of things going on. But when you see them humble
• 22:52
  Speaker 1: themselves and provide and give to the community that they're
• 22:56
  Speaker 1: called to serve, amen, and they're financially able to do that,

  Speaker 1: they're a blessing to the community. God humbled them and
• 23:04
  Speaker 1: they're blessed. And they're doing stuff in the community Because
• 23:07
  Speaker 1: now they have the financial means to do these things.

  Speaker 2: But when you see.

  Speaker 1: Another community of believers or a church or a mega

  Speaker 1: ministry just showing off what they have.

  Speaker 2: I have a jet. I have a Bentley. I'm rich.

  Speaker 2: I'm just down to third.

  Speaker 1: And then they pan out the crowd and not everybody

  Speaker 1: is on that time.

  Speaker 2: Just be cautious about that. Amen?

  Speaker 1: Because yes, the Lord will bless. The Lord will give

  Speaker 1: us financial breakthroughs. But he has to test our hearts

  Speaker 1: to make sure that we're ready to receive that. And

  Speaker 1: the enemy of this world system, the enemy that is
• 23:43
  Speaker 1: the God, small g, of this world system, has ways

  Speaker 1: of giving people financial breakthroughs as well.

  Speaker 1: So we have to be using discernment when it comes

  Speaker 1: to financial breakthrough. I don't know why I went down

  Speaker 1: that way. I'm just trusting the Holy Spirit is speaking.

  Speaker 1: So your circumstances may be changing. Although they might be

  Speaker 1: long as I'm doing what God calls me to do,
