- 0:23Speaker 2: I only want to call me Chuck. Thanks for joining
- 0:25Speaker 2: us for episode one seventy one. Thank you for coming
- 0:27Speaker 2: back into the Cantina after listening to one seventy Join
- 0:32Speaker 2: us Actually, Og Patron or God God plus America slowed
- 0:36Speaker 2: down too much coffee at Chucks Cantea on your socials
- 0:38Speaker 2: Chuckscantina at gmail dot com joining us back this week?
- 0:42Speaker 2: Or actually he never left the canteen in the fucking
- 0:43Speaker 2: first place. I'm telling you, Og Patron, Patrick, I locked
- 0:46Speaker 2: him in the bathroom. You cannot come out. No sun
- 0:49Speaker 2: night for you. How are you by the way, He's
- 0:52Speaker 2: drinking the same is last week. I'm drinking the same
- 0:54Speaker 2: things this week. Too much coffee, Let's go. I had
- 0:57Speaker 2: to ration my beverages.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I haven't seen the Sunlight in a week, but
- 1:02Speaker 3: I'm here to review the rest of the movie so
- 1:05Speaker 3: I can leave.
- 1:06Speaker 2: No man, be good. I've been good and like, I
- 1:10Speaker 2: realized we haven't talked about so much of this movie,
- 1:14Speaker 2: but yeah, let's let's dive into it. So like we.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Covered a lot of the you know, fourth wall breaks,
- 1:21Speaker 3: we covered a lot of the.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Cameos and ship. Yeah. I think the action in this
- 1:26Speaker 2: movie was pretty dang good.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I think they did a great job of like flowing
- 1:30Speaker 3: in between the action scenes and the you know, the
- 1:33Speaker 3: offbeat comedy. But I was impressed by some of the choreography.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I think Wolverine fought the most like Wolverine in this movie.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I don't know if that makes any sense, right, He's
- 1:47Speaker 3: a bit more.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Feral, but we literally got him crawling into the ground
- 1:52Speaker 2: with his fucking spikes out of the ship.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Like, Yeah, I a lot of just savage shit good.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I just gotta say shout out to Sam Raymi Spider
- 2:04Speaker 2: Man two or one. Excuse me. I think it's like,
- 2:07Speaker 2: I think it's like a thing now where any comic
- 2:09Speaker 2: book movie you have to do the Flash Thompson Peter
- 2:11Speaker 2: Parker fight choreography where he misses a bunch of punches
- 2:14Speaker 2: and shit. I mean, I don't know if you saw
- 2:16Speaker 2: that that they did literally the spot where they did
- 2:19Speaker 2: the locker spot where Wolverine swings five thousand times misses
- 2:22Speaker 2: and it's literally the exact same movement. I think it's
- 2:25Speaker 2: like the fifth movie Marvel that's done that. I know
- 2:27Speaker 2: DC did it once. I can't remember what movie it was.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I mean, it's just it's just like it's like a
- 2:32Speaker 2: it's like a little you know, it's as you mentioned
- 2:34Speaker 2: as you and clicking a collect referred to in the
- 2:37Speaker 2: previous episode, this was a movie where you because actually
- 2:42Speaker 2: if anything, uh my pop, uh my stepdad, Scott and
- 2:45Speaker 2: my mom they went and saw it and they called
- 2:49Speaker 2: me before and said, hey, like, we're gonna go see
- 2:50Speaker 2: this movie. What do we need to watch before it?
- 2:53Speaker 2: And I go, have you seen the X Men movies? Yeah,
- 2:55Speaker 2: a couple of have you seen a Depot movies? Like yeah,
- 2:56Speaker 2: then you're fine, you know, you literally you don't need
- 2:59Speaker 2: to see all of the things. Like it's one of
- 3:01Speaker 2: those movies where if you haven't seen ship, you're gonna
- 3:04Speaker 2: have a good time. Obviously, the more Marvel stuff you've watched,
- 3:07Speaker 2: you're gonna pread especially from yeah, the mid Auts like
- 3:10Speaker 2: that era.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Right, if you are a fan of those or remember
- 3:13Speaker 3: any of those, then this is a great movie.
- 3:16Speaker 2: For you right, and like it is and like it
- 3:20Speaker 2: was one of those scenes where like if you understood
- 3:23Speaker 2: like hell, like I mentioned we mentioned about like the
- 3:25Speaker 2: Ryan Reynolds Wesley snipes like.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Feud, like the jokes that was coming, like or Blade says,
- 3:31Speaker 3: I never liked you, and it's like you never did it.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I never had I don't like you. Yeah you
- 3:35Speaker 2: never did. It's like it was. It's just those little
- 3:37Speaker 2: jokes or like or one of one of the best
- 3:40Speaker 2: jokes at all of all, like the little like the
- 3:42Speaker 2: little tiniest joke that no, everyone probably missed, you know,
- 3:46Speaker 2: dared Devil He's dead. Oh, I'm so sorry. It's okay,
- 3:50Speaker 2: it's all right, because in real life they're divorced. It's
- 3:54Speaker 2: just so funny. It's just funny shit like that that
- 3:57Speaker 2: like they don't insult your intelligence. But like I said,
- 4:00Speaker 2: if you know this shit, you appreciate it more and
- 4:03Speaker 2: it but like if you don't know it, it's still like, oh, okay,
- 4:05Speaker 2: it's funny where it's like, oh, that makes sense to
- 4:07Speaker 2: the story. It almost goes beyond a fourth wall break.
- 4:09Speaker 3: It's like fifth or sixth wall where it's not even commenting,
- 4:12Speaker 3: like the character knows he's in the movie. The actor
- 4:15Speaker 3: playing the character comments on the real life posed feuds
- 4:21Speaker 3: or like real life happenings. It was really funny. And
- 4:25Speaker 3: you know, in the last episode, Rene's closing comments were like,
- 4:30Speaker 3: did it revive the Marvel Universe?
- 4:32Speaker 2: I don't know. I kind of agreed with him. I
- 4:34Speaker 2: don't know if it revived it.
- 4:35Speaker 3: It set the bar very high, but it makes you wonder, like, well,
- 4:39Speaker 3: not every movie can do this kind of thing, right,
- 4:42Speaker 3: this is a Deadpool movie. This is like that comedy
- 4:46Speaker 3: where it's like four fans by fans and it's like,
- 4:51Speaker 3: you know, it's not trying to tell a super serious story.
- 4:54Speaker 2: And I think I agree with him there where it's.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Like it felt like the stakes were kind of low,
- 4:59Speaker 3: you know, and like when your biggest when your biggest
- 5:02Speaker 3: one of your biggest villains is a line on a
- 5:05Speaker 3: screen going all wonky and shit, like that's not great,
- 5:09Speaker 3: but like, you know, not the you know, steamroll and
- 5:14Speaker 3: segue into this other thing. I think Cassandra Nova was
- 5:16Speaker 3: a really great pick as a villain, absolutely, and I
- 5:20Speaker 3: think in terms of the effects of her powers like
- 5:23Speaker 3: reaching into people's faces.
- 5:24Speaker 2: And shit, oh so good.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Really, it looks so good, like seeing her fingers move
- 5:29Speaker 3: under the skin and it's moving ship around on the.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Face and it was so freaky, so freaky.
- 5:35Speaker 3: There's a lot of body horror stuff here, like uh,
- 5:37Speaker 3: you know, spoilers when Johnny Storm gets all of his
- 5:40Speaker 3: skin ripped off and then just falls apart like that.
- 5:42Speaker 2: That took me back. Whoa that one again? Like this
- 5:46Speaker 2: is a rated R, like we all know that? Are
- 5:50Speaker 2: that that that scene where she kills Oh, by the way,
- 5:53Speaker 2: Slip Reviews Part two is obviously spoilers when she killed
- 5:56Speaker 2: Johnny Storm like that. That was one of those where
- 5:59Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, this is like I mean by this point,
- 6:02Speaker 2: you know the movies like Righted R. But that was
- 6:04Speaker 2: like a hard R, Like holy shit, I can't believe
- 6:08Speaker 2: you just did that. Yah know that was that was
- 6:13Speaker 2: a really cool thing to see in this movie. But also,
- 6:16Speaker 2: like you mentioned, like the action stuff like that the
- 6:20Speaker 2: the best part about this movie. Like I said, it
- 6:23Speaker 2: was just like you said, like the action where it
- 6:25Speaker 2: was almost non stop, but like it wasn't. It wasn't
- 6:28Speaker 2: too overbearing where you're like you're like, oh, great, other
- 6:31Speaker 2: fight scene come up, but like that's just Deadpool Wolverine.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Wherever they go, it's just pure fucking chaos. That's just
- 6:38Speaker 2: the way it is with those two. And I love
- 6:40Speaker 2: the fact that, like, as you said, this is the
- 6:43Speaker 2: most Wolverine that we've ever seen Wolverine, which I agree with,
- 6:46Speaker 2: but also I say, like this like the most Deadpool
- 6:48Speaker 2: we've seen, because like everyone remembers, like you know, like
- 6:50Speaker 2: like in terms of story, the first Deadpool is like
- 6:54Speaker 2: top notch. It's great, but like there was like a
- 6:57Speaker 2: there was some moments where it's kind of like slow
- 6:58Speaker 2: and dull, like this is just stop boom boom boom boom.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But that's what Deadpool is because everywhere he goes this
- 7:04Speaker 2: movie was insane.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Yeah, And I to your comments on the last episode,
- 7:09Speaker 3: It's like it didn't take its time establishing a villain
- 7:13Speaker 3: from outer space or anything crazy like that, didn't need
- 7:16Speaker 3: a grand a whole lot of exposition, and you just
- 7:20Speaker 3: got right to it. And I loved it. I loved it, yeah, man,
- 7:27Speaker 3: which I think was to this film's benefit. But yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 3: I feel like at points it moved a little too fast.
- 7:35Speaker 3: There were moments that could have lingered on and tried
- 7:38Speaker 3: to tell two different stories, and it's like almost like
- 7:43Speaker 3: you're trying to retell this story, not like from the
- 7:46Speaker 3: origins perspective, but like you have to re establish why
- 7:49Speaker 3: this Wolverine is the way he was, which like they
- 7:53Speaker 3: didn't do a whole lot of and again it was
- 7:55Speaker 3: like a you know, fourth wall break. It's like, what
- 7:58Speaker 3: are we gonna have to wait for a third act flashback?
- 8:01Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie I under. So essentially the reason
- 8:04Speaker 2: this Wolvervinge was quote unquote the worst wall is because
- 8:06Speaker 2: he let the X Men. I'll get killed by these
- 8:07Speaker 2: human people that hated the x Men. I just I'm
- 8:10Speaker 2: just like, I'm not gonna I was one of the
- 8:12Speaker 2: I was little disappointed, and I'm like, that's it. Like
- 8:16Speaker 2: I was thinking it'd be like a thing where like
- 8:17Speaker 2: he didn't kill Jean when he had the chance, and
- 8:19Speaker 2: Jane killed everybody, or so, you know something along those lines.
- 8:23Speaker 2: That was little disappointed because I'm like, oh wait, the
- 8:25Speaker 2: human like he didn't come back and help the humans
- 8:28Speaker 2: or help the mutant when they were getting slaughtered by humans.
- 8:30Speaker 2: It's like, well, why why didn't the humans just slaughter
- 8:32Speaker 2: the humans? Or why did the mute Jesus Christ? I mean,
- 8:36Speaker 2: we do plenty of that already. Why didn't the mutants
- 8:38Speaker 2: slaughter the humans in defense? That made zero I mean
- 8:41Speaker 2: not saying zero sense to me, was just kind of like,
- 8:43Speaker 2: that's it a little bit, that's that was like, that's
- 8:47Speaker 2: nurcritic I would have about this week, but like it's
- 8:49Speaker 2: it's it's one of those things where thankfully the quote
- 8:52Speaker 2: unquote worst Wolverine, it wasn't that big of a deal
- 8:56Speaker 2: because because I mean, all the Wolverines are essentially the same.
- 8:59Speaker 2: But I mean, obviously they have different characteristics and perks,
- 9:02Speaker 2: but they were all the same in terms of like
- 9:04Speaker 2: they were that leader and that nostalgia that like every time,
- 9:08Speaker 2: like every time Hugh Jack was on screen, it's just like,
- 9:10Speaker 2: oh this is so fucking cool and like, but you
- 9:12Speaker 2: believe even though like he was the worst of the
- 9:14Speaker 2: worst one unquote and I'm just ramming on here, you
- 9:18Speaker 2: believe though he was still like a badass motherfucker essentially. Yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 2: I mean the plot was a little convoluted.
- 9:24Speaker 3: It like kind of threw out a lot of different
- 9:27Speaker 3: you know, terms like anchor being and things like that.
- 9:30Speaker 2: But yeah, I didn't really explain how any of that
- 9:32Speaker 2: got solved. It's just that this one villain got defeated
- 9:36Speaker 2: and everything is fine, and we don't really need to
- 9:39Speaker 2: describe how it's fine, but it is. I wanted to
- 9:43Speaker 2: ask you, but that was that was the one thing
- 9:45Speaker 2: I want to focus on for this for part two.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Here he said, like we talked about the action a
- 9:49Speaker 2: little bit here and like, so the action was top notch.
- 9:51Speaker 2: It was non stop. Both the fight scenes between Deadpool
- 9:56Speaker 2: and Logan were fantastic. The one of the the fucking
- 9:59Speaker 2: fighting the van like this is so fucking sick. I
- 10:03Speaker 2: like to fight in the Desert War. But like the
- 10:05Speaker 2: fighting like they were both so good. It's just like
- 10:08Speaker 2: because you have to find this open land space where
- 10:10Speaker 2: they're just like beat the crap of each other, but
- 10:12Speaker 2: like trying to like avoid our attacks. But then then
- 10:13Speaker 2: they fight in the mini van or I'm sorry, a
- 10:16Speaker 2: Honda Odyssey, which I'm gonna laugh when those when those
- 10:20Speaker 2: prices for that car now go up, where they beat
- 10:23Speaker 2: the crap of each other in a Honda Odyssey for
- 10:25Speaker 2: like five minutes and I lost the next trand that
- 10:29Speaker 2: I was gonna have here or yeah here, Okay, the
- 10:34Speaker 2: thing you want to ask you about, and this is
- 10:36Speaker 2: a thing I seen online I I didn't mind it.
- 10:39Speaker 2: I get it. They've never introduced this in MS you
- 10:41Speaker 2: till now and you kind of love to it a
- 10:43Speaker 2: second and go, what are your thoughts on the whole
- 10:45Speaker 2: anchor plots of like the reason like why his universe
- 10:49Speaker 2: is dying is because their anchor and logan died and
- 10:53Speaker 2: which is why their universe is gonna go away.
- 10:55Speaker 3: It's kind of bullshit if you ask me, like I
- 10:58Speaker 3: don't understand like why that has to be the case,
- 11:01Speaker 3: because it's like, how was an anchor being determined?
- 11:04Speaker 2: What about before that anchor being before? Yeah?
- 11:09Speaker 3: And then it's also like, well that doesn't make any
- 11:12Speaker 3: sense because like then so many universes would just be
- 11:17Speaker 3: dying off because one specific person dies, and it's like, well,
- 11:20Speaker 3: what that person doesn't have a crazy mute.
- 11:22Speaker 2: And ability to live super long? I don't know.
- 11:25Speaker 3: And it felt like kind of felt convoluted, kind of
- 11:28Speaker 3: felt forced, and it's like I don't.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Know who's our anchor? I don't know? Oh God, OK,
- 11:42Speaker 2: thank you. No.
- 11:43Speaker 3: It felt kind of shoehorned in there, and it's like
- 11:46Speaker 3: I get that there has to be a reason why
- 11:49Speaker 3: this this is all happening, but like that felt like
- 11:52Speaker 3: a really flimsy reason, and then like they really quickly
- 11:56Speaker 3: moved past it because it's like, well, that's not even
- 11:58Speaker 3: the biggest problem. The biggest problem is that this one
- 12:00Speaker 3: rogue guy from the TVA is gonna like just destroy
- 12:04Speaker 3: the universe right.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Now, or destroy destroy universes. He doesn't see fit. Yeah,
- 12:08Speaker 2: like right right. That that was a little convoluted. But
- 12:12Speaker 2: and here's the thing too, is, like I said, they
- 12:13Speaker 2: didn't on some of those things that people probably if
- 12:16Speaker 2: they try to like expand upon that, more people to
- 12:18Speaker 2: cretique on it more. Because yeah, like they talked about,
- 12:22Speaker 2: you know, the anchor thing for like five minutes with
- 12:26Speaker 2: Logan and then you know, oh yeah, the p was
- 12:29Speaker 2: a paradox. I'm gonna destroy this universe because like they
- 12:32Speaker 2: want me to wait five thousand years for it to
- 12:34Speaker 2: go away, which I don't want to wait down long.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I got it. I want I want to I want
- 12:37Speaker 2: to be the TV. I want to do shit. And
- 12:39Speaker 2: then the one thing I was surprised about was now,
- 12:43Speaker 2: obviously a lot of people haven't watched a lot of
- 12:45Speaker 2: the Marvel stuff on Disney Plus because it just hasn't
- 12:47Speaker 2: been panned that all that. Well, I'm surprised Loki wasn't
- 12:51Speaker 2: in this considering we're I don't know if you watch
- 12:54Speaker 2: Loki season two. Essentially he's the head of the TVA.
- 12:58Speaker 2: That's literally, that's the best way to say. But he's
- 12:59Speaker 2: more than he's the god of the god of stories,
- 13:02Speaker 2: and I feel like with everything that's gone on, it'd
- 13:04Speaker 2: be like this, like not even like he would be
- 13:06Speaker 2: like an integral part, but it's like, hey, what are
- 13:09Speaker 2: you doing kind of thing and he just like fucking like,
- 13:11Speaker 2: you know, stamps his finger Thano styles just like obliterates
- 13:14Speaker 2: him whatever. But hey, I mean there's maybe what happened
- 13:18Speaker 2: later on. I doubt it that was the one thing.
- 13:20Speaker 2: And now the obvious thing is like you said, like
- 13:23Speaker 2: I feel like the anchor thing. I get where they're
- 13:25Speaker 2: going with it, but it's like you said, you said
- 13:26Speaker 2: it was kind of bullshit, and I had to agree
- 13:28Speaker 2: with because it's like, why hasn't this okay, perfect example,
- 13:31Speaker 2: So is Tony Stark or cap the anchor to was
- 13:35Speaker 2: it six one six? Obviously not because nothing's happened, or
- 13:38Speaker 2: unless they're saying something's gonna happen with the news announced
- 13:40Speaker 2: last week, in which we'll discuss in the next episode.
- 13:43Speaker 2: But I mean, that's the thing. The movie was so good.
- 13:48Speaker 2: The action was good, the comedy was good, and like
- 13:50Speaker 2: it was right and short, and it was short and
- 13:52Speaker 2: straight to the point. I know you said you wish
- 13:54Speaker 2: they expand upon some parts. I feel like if they
- 13:57Speaker 2: did it kind of would have hindered the movie a
- 13:59Speaker 2: little bit, because then we would have critiqued a little more.
- 14:01Speaker 2: But like, obviously the things that are there to criticize
- 14:04Speaker 2: are warranted. But at the same time, I feel like
- 14:07Speaker 2: the pace of the movie helped alleviate those criticisms, as
- 14:13Speaker 2: some people have, And that makes sense. You could say that,
- 14:15Speaker 2: yeah for sure, and I get it.
- 14:17Speaker 3: And like if they did expand on some things, like
- 14:20Speaker 3: it would have dependent on the quality of those things,
- 14:22Speaker 3: like the the you know, engagement between X twenty three
- 14:28Speaker 3: and Wolverine was like almost nonexistent, like even right, you know,
- 14:33Speaker 3: and that could have been much more impactful. But I mean,
- 14:37Speaker 3: like those are like nitpicks, you know what I mean.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I think they cut what they had to and what
- 14:41Speaker 3: they kept was phenomenal, right, you know, And I I mean,
- 14:47Speaker 3: I sincerely love this movie and not and like a
- 14:52Speaker 3: lot of that was fan service, a lot of that
- 14:53Speaker 3: was like, you know, tickling the nostalgia bone, but like, yeah,
- 14:58Speaker 3: yeah it was.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I thought it was good.
- 15:01Speaker 3: I thought it was really good. But I mean, yeah,
- 15:05Speaker 3: it really depends on what they do moving forward. And
- 15:07Speaker 3: I think that they are playing with fire because this
- 15:10Speaker 3: whole multiverse thing and like the you know, kind of
- 15:14Speaker 3: convoluted nature of anything to do with multiverses, it can
- 15:18Speaker 3: go both ways. It can be really engaging and really
- 15:23Speaker 3: enthralling and captivating and like you know, you ask yourself
- 15:26Speaker 3: a lot of different questions and like, but it can
- 15:29Speaker 3: also leave a lot to be desired because it does
- 15:33Speaker 3: do you ask those questions, you know, and if it's
- 15:35Speaker 3: like not a satisfactory answer or like or like any
- 15:39Speaker 3: other movie, if the plot driving force isn't really captivating
- 15:44Speaker 3: or thought out or just kind of brushed aside for
- 15:48Speaker 3: the sake of another villain popping up, it's like it's
- 15:51Speaker 3: it's kind.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Of a letdown. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah. So, like
- 15:56Speaker 2: I said, if I enjoyed this, I had hiatum. I
- 16:00Speaker 2: had high anticipation for this movie. I enjoyed the living
- 16:03Speaker 2: hell out of it. I loved it. I still love it.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I would love to see it again. Obviously, the more
- 16:10Speaker 2: times you see something, you pick up on other things
- 16:12Speaker 2: and stuff like that. I love the Johnny Storm cameo.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I love the like obviously like people like who didn't know,
- 16:18Speaker 2: like the whole Fantastic four shit, like we'll be like,
- 16:20Speaker 2: wait doesn't make any sense. They don't want to explain
- 16:21Speaker 2: to it doesn't make a little sense. I love how
- 16:24Speaker 2: they did, like the Tea's like him, you know, saying
- 16:26Speaker 2: you know as symbol and shit like that. The one
- 16:30Speaker 2: thing that I kind of lose this in the last
- 16:31Speaker 2: episode is mark this is this is a movie where
- 16:36Speaker 2: it's like, Okay, Marvel, we're gonna get back on track here,
- 16:39Speaker 2: like this is our step to get to where we
- 16:41Speaker 2: want to go and stuff like that. And what's interesting
- 16:43Speaker 2: to see is how they respond because this is the
- 16:46Speaker 2: weird thing, like this is the first time in years.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I mean we technically had Echo earlier this year, which
- 16:51Speaker 2: nobody saw, which is a fact. But we're not gonna
- 16:56Speaker 2: have anything marveled now until next like Valentine's Day with
- 16:59Speaker 2: Captain of America, which had like five thousand reshoots. I
- 17:03Speaker 2: mean I'm nervous about that. Well, see I'm not nervous
- 17:07Speaker 2: anymore because they reshot the movie, but like but also
- 17:11Speaker 2: it's like like based on like what the what I mean,
- 17:16Speaker 2: it's not a secret anymore. It's in the trailer. It's
- 17:18Speaker 2: Captain America. He's gonna fight Red Hulk. So which is
- 17:21Speaker 2: gonna It's gonna be so sick, it's gonna be Harrison
- 17:24Speaker 2: Ford is Red Hulk. Oh you're kidding me? Really? I
- 17:27Speaker 2: didn't I don't know if any.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Yeah, no, well he's in the movie already, but I
- 17:31Speaker 3: guess I didn't put together.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Well, no, this is technically the third oh what the
- 17:34Speaker 2: hell is his name? Thunder Ross? This is secicly the
- 17:39Speaker 2: third casting of Ross, because unfortunately the past two have
- 17:42Speaker 2: passed away, and so they get Harrison Ford. And now
- 17:45Speaker 2: my only question or two questions I have is does
- 17:48Speaker 2: Captain America get the super Solier theories here him? Because
- 17:51Speaker 2: how the hell else is he gonna fight a fucking Hulk.
- 17:55Speaker 2: He's gonna use his wings man? And it's Secondly, I'm sorry,
- 17:59Speaker 2: I hate to do this. I'm sorry. People are gonna
- 18:01Speaker 2: hate me, people are gonna cringe. Some people are not
- 18:03Speaker 2: gonna understand a fucking thing I'm saying. You have Harrison
- 18:06Speaker 2: Ford as the President of the United States. I think
- 18:11Speaker 2: you know what I'm going with this. Absolutely, you have
- 18:15Speaker 2: to do a scene with him on an airplane. Three yells,
- 18:20Speaker 2: get off my plane?
- 18:22Speaker 3: Oh yeah, maybe he takes Sam's wing, rips Sam's wings off,
- 18:25Speaker 3: and kicks them off the plane as the hall.
- 18:30Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's cheesy and shit, but like something,
- 18:32Speaker 2: that's what we need with some of these movies. Sometimes
- 18:34Speaker 2: it's just to be cheesy shit because, like I said, supposedly,
- 18:37Speaker 2: like this movie, with all the reshoots, they made it
- 18:39Speaker 2: more grounded, which is what we need. Like Captain America
- 18:41Speaker 2: is a grounded hero. Why do you Yeah, the second
- 18:43Speaker 2: Captain American movie is so good everyone's regarding everyone. Some
- 18:46Speaker 2: people say it's the best Marvel movie of all of them.
- 18:48Speaker 2: And it's not like an Avengers movie. It's just it's
- 18:51Speaker 2: Captain America and like, yeah, there's some other people in
- 18:53Speaker 2: the two, but it's a chronicle movie about him going
- 18:55Speaker 2: against Hydra and shit, which is what we want. And
- 19:00Speaker 2: it's interesting to see. Like essentially, and as Renee alluded
- 19:04Speaker 2: to the episode, is this the movie Deadpool? That is
- 19:07Speaker 2: that gets Marvel back on track? And I really hope
- 19:09Speaker 2: it does because because that's the problem with Marvel ever
- 19:12Speaker 2: since Endgame. For every home run they've had the last
- 19:17Speaker 2: five years, they've also had four uh you know, three
- 19:22Speaker 2: they've they've had four you know, swing and missing or
- 19:25Speaker 2: strike out. They've had Marvels, I've had a or they've
- 19:30Speaker 2: had an They've had Shul they had a Hulk, which,
- 19:34Speaker 2: by the way, all those projects have had their their moments.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Like I actually I enjoyed Eternals a lot more than most.
- 19:40Speaker 2: I can't understand the faults that people have with it.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Mm hmm, like like like like like a deb bul
- 19:46Speaker 2: Wolverine isn't a perfect movie, no, but I think it's
- 19:49Speaker 2: also it's like it's Deadpool, it's Logan from the X Men.
- 19:52Speaker 2: So like, obviously if you're a nineties kid, there's a
- 19:54Speaker 2: nostalgia factor. This is a movie we've been waiting for
- 19:56Speaker 2: for a decade now or so like that. But at
- 20:00Speaker 2: the same time, I think the quality within Marvel right
- 20:02Speaker 2: now has been not saying solo. I mean for other
- 20:05Speaker 2: movies like Jesus Christ, for some studios out there, the
- 20:08Speaker 2: Marvel's lowest is another studio was highest. Like that's a
- 20:11Speaker 2: fact true. But the same time too, it's like we're
- 20:15Speaker 2: used to the last ten years, we've been spoiled. We're
- 20:17Speaker 2: so used to quality and then yet now unfortunately we're
- 20:20Speaker 2: used to like okay, and I think with how good
- 20:23Speaker 2: this movie was, it's like, oh my god, this movie
- 20:25Speaker 2: is amazing. It's like, I mean, it's a great movie,
- 20:27Speaker 2: don't get wrong. But it's also like, let's let's not
- 20:30Speaker 2: say it's like, you know, Winter Soldier, Infinity War, the
- 20:35Speaker 2: First Avengers. I mean, like I've been around. I love
- 20:37Speaker 2: this movie a lot more than I thought I would.
- 20:39Speaker 2: But at the same time, some people were saying, like, oh,
- 20:40Speaker 2: it's top five all time. I wouldn't go that high either.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Now my score might sound differently here in the moment,
- 20:46Speaker 2: but I just want to make that clearly. Get my
- 20:48Speaker 2: score here. We get the recency bias pumping through a vein.
- 20:52Speaker 2: So oh yeah, yeah, I mean, because don't be wrong,
- 20:54Speaker 2: I love Hugh Jack and Miss Wolverine. And actually we
- 20:56Speaker 2: didn't get to this in the last episode, and you
- 21:00Speaker 2: and I want to discuss it. We briefly mentioned it.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I did not expect those credits.
- 21:09Speaker 3: No, the credits were I mean fucking heartwarming, right, I
- 21:13Speaker 3: mean obviously, like you know, it was just bloopers and
- 21:15Speaker 3: interviews of the Fox productions.
- 21:18Speaker 2: I mean like like they even had like you know,
- 21:20Speaker 2: like like they had the Michael B. Jordan Fantastic four,
- 21:22Speaker 2: they had just got album Fantastic four. They had brief
- 21:26Speaker 2: spins of Elektra and Dark Devil and like again when
- 21:29Speaker 2: you hear the Time of My Life song, like I.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Just yeah again, it's we'll get back to high school
- 21:35Speaker 3: prom and then you see all your you see all
- 21:39Speaker 3: those characters. Kind of a lot of those shots were like, yeah,
- 21:42Speaker 3: it was like behind the scenes bloopers and stuff, but
- 21:44Speaker 3: a lot of those were, like I think a lot
- 21:46Speaker 3: of those were like the final shots of those characters,
- 21:51Speaker 3: of those actors in those characters, like in those moments
- 21:54Speaker 3: from the set, like probably, Okay, this is the last
- 21:56Speaker 3: time I'll play Magno, this is the last time Patrick
- 21:59Speaker 3: Stewart will play Charles Xavier.
- 22:02Speaker 2: This is lost. You know. So it's like it's a
- 22:05Speaker 2: pretty big table man. Well, some of them probably here's Unfortunately,
- 22:08Speaker 2: because of how disorganized the Fox stuff was, some of
- 22:13Speaker 2: them probably didn't even know that was gonna be their
- 22:14Speaker 2: last one. I mean someone probably did, but someone probably
- 22:16Speaker 2: like okay, we'll see, we'll see what happens.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Right, And then it's also like it just it plays
- 22:22Speaker 3: into like the plot of a lot of those cameo
- 22:25Speaker 3: characters of like getting a great final sendoff to speak,
- 22:30Speaker 3: like getting to you know, you know, like these.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Are characters that are beloved like really.
- 22:37Speaker 3: You know, nostalgic for a lot of people, and they
- 22:41Speaker 3: kind of just got swept on, swept away, swept under
- 22:43Speaker 3: the rug.
- 22:44Speaker 2: But it's also like not something you see.
- 22:45Speaker 3: In Hollywood a lot, like you don't have this like
- 22:48Speaker 3: nostalgic final farewell moment for a lot of you know,
- 22:53Speaker 3: properties in in cinema like right, you know, and it
- 22:56Speaker 3: doesn't make sense for a lot of these properties. But
- 22:58Speaker 3: it's like something as big and as personal as like
- 23:04Speaker 3: a comic book movie, you know, where it's like a
- 23:08Speaker 3: lot of people's favorite not just movies, but properties in general,
- 23:11Speaker 3: like X Men. You know you want it to be
- 23:14Speaker 3: uh you know, you want that that connection to be
- 23:17Speaker 3: taken seriously. And I think that's what's been so great
- 23:19Speaker 3: about the runn now is being able to play Deadpool
- 23:22Speaker 3: is like this is something he's wanted to do, and
- 23:27Speaker 3: now we look and he's got three movies from it. Right,
- 23:30Speaker 3: He's being able to make three great movies. You know,
- 23:34Speaker 3: are they gonna win Academy Awards? Probably not, but like
- 23:37Speaker 3: the people that watch those movies are enjoy the fuck
- 23:39Speaker 3: out of them.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Well, and then here's what to do is like how
- 23:43Speaker 2: many And there's like one of the questions when I
- 23:46Speaker 2: ask you here in a second, like how many you
- 23:48Speaker 2: alluded to? Like you know, these like characters did never
- 23:50Speaker 2: got their proper set up? How many TV shows or
- 23:53Speaker 2: movies like didn't get that? And people are so clamored
- 23:56Speaker 2: for those shows or boys get a chance like that?
- 23:58Speaker 2: Oh my god?
- 23:58Speaker 3: How many times have we heard people talk about Firefly
- 24:01Speaker 3: getting another season?
- 24:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah? Or or like how many like you know,
- 24:06Speaker 2: how many people have said, uh, you know, they want
- 24:09Speaker 2: like what we technically we did get a Sopranos movie
- 24:12Speaker 2: with like you know, like the Rise of you know, Tony,
- 24:15Speaker 2: But like how many people say, you know, we need
- 24:16Speaker 2: to see what actually happened to the diner? It's like, no,
- 24:18Speaker 2: we don't need to see that, you know what I mean,
- 24:20Speaker 2: don't need to see it.
- 24:21Speaker 3: But it's coming from a good place of like I'm
- 24:23Speaker 3: so invested in this character, right, like I want more
- 24:26Speaker 3: of it and I want to see what I want
- 24:28Speaker 3: them to not I don't know, like it depends on
- 24:31Speaker 3: the character obviously, but I want to see like a
- 24:33Speaker 3: conclusive ending, you know what I mean.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Well, and like it doesn't always work out because like
- 24:37Speaker 2: I mean a lot of people, I mean I know
- 24:39Speaker 2: some people that are like diehard breaking bad fans, and
- 24:41Speaker 2: they don't even know that like there was like a
- 24:42Speaker 2: sequel that to that that Netflix movie they did and
- 24:45Speaker 2: so with with pink Men, and people don't even know
- 24:47Speaker 2: that's like exist, and like it clearly like it shows
- 24:50Speaker 2: I'm saying it wasn't bad. I mean I didn't watch it,
- 24:52Speaker 2: but you know something Camaro or you're saying there's a
- 24:54Speaker 2: sequel to Camaro or no, no, no, Camaro was a sequel.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Sorry yeah, yeah, okay, yeah me, but I mean it's
- 25:03Speaker 2: and again it's the thing I want to ask you
- 25:05Speaker 2: now is like, so I don't want to get too
- 25:09Speaker 2: far into it because I was we're gonna talk about
- 25:10Speaker 2: this next time with like the news that broke last
- 25:12Speaker 2: weekend about a certain you know, a camp Award winner.
- 25:15Speaker 2: But like at the end of the movie, obviously we
- 25:18Speaker 2: see X twenty three with Logan because they asked him, like, hey,
- 25:21Speaker 2: some people help us get out. So to my so,
- 25:23Speaker 2: does that mean Elektra got out? Does that mean Blade
- 25:26Speaker 2: is safe? Does that any Gambut actually has a universe? Noalities,
- 25:29Speaker 2: because I love the fact that like that was part
- 25:31Speaker 2: of the Gambus jokes. Was like, yeah, I don't even know.
- 25:33Speaker 2: I don't even know if I was actually real. Some
- 25:37Speaker 2: people never got to see us, Like yeah.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Those this I mean as a comedy, this movie shined
- 25:43Speaker 3: right just from the writing alone. I mean some of
- 25:45Speaker 3: the physical gags, like when Wolverine's shirt gets ripped off
- 25:49Speaker 3: and Deadpools in this big heroic moment, but he still
- 25:52Speaker 3: takes time.
- 25:52Speaker 2: To like acknowledge his abs out check out the abs.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so funny.
- 25:59Speaker 2: That's gonna be a thing.
- 26:00Speaker 3: And I think that, like moving forward, we've talked about
- 26:03Speaker 3: all these other Marvel movies having their own kind of flavor.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I think that's what's really been lost over these last
- 26:08Speaker 3: few because it's felt like either every movie with multiple
- 26:13Speaker 3: Liken ensemble cast has tried to be Guardians of the
- 26:15Speaker 3: Galaxy or you know, it's tried to be this big,
- 26:18Speaker 3: bombastic thing. And I would love to see moving forward
- 26:21Speaker 3: that the movies have their own unique flavors, which makes
- 26:25Speaker 3: the bigger ensemble pieces like Avengers so much more I
- 26:29Speaker 3: pactful because you get to see the like it's a
- 26:32Speaker 3: tone of its own, but it's like the characters are
- 26:34Speaker 3: so well established that when they come together, it's it's
- 26:38Speaker 3: a spectacle of its own right.
- 26:40Speaker 2: And I would love to get that feeling back, you
- 26:42Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, Get the feeling back, right and
- 26:44Speaker 2: like and of course, like we'll talk, like I said,
- 26:47Speaker 2: well a lot of teas this week, Like we'll talk
- 26:50Speaker 2: like they obviously announced two Avengers movies coming out soon
- 26:53Speaker 2: in the next couple of years here, one of them
- 26:54Speaker 2: Secret Wars. I mean, I feel like, just based on
- 26:58Speaker 2: how this movie ended, I feel like they're gonna I
- 27:00Speaker 2: never thought Blade was possible. I mean obviously not Electric either,
- 27:03Speaker 2: but like, I feel like X twenty three and those
- 27:05Speaker 2: characters are gonna be in some capacity, especially because they
- 27:08Speaker 2: you know, quote unquote survived or we think they survive
- 27:13Speaker 2: this because they brought X twenty three back at the
- 27:15Speaker 2: end of Deadpool, So I mean, one can hope we'll
- 27:19Speaker 2: see what happens, but I just and we'll get into
- 27:22Speaker 2: it more in the next episode.
- 27:24Speaker 3: But like my I have some theories about Secret Wars
- 27:27Speaker 3: and how it's gonna play out, right, because Secret Wars
- 27:30Speaker 3: means a couple different things in the Marvel universe or
- 27:35Speaker 3: the comics themselves.
- 27:36Speaker 2: And with the other announcement, I think they're gonna go
- 27:40Speaker 2: in a specific direction. But we'll see what happens. We sha,
- 27:44Speaker 2: And again, I'm really excited for I think this is
- 27:47Speaker 2: a step in the right direction for Marvel. It's just
- 27:49Speaker 2: it's also one of those things like we said, like, hey, guys,
- 27:51Speaker 2: just how we put it, don't don't get too excited.
- 27:56Speaker 2: It's like, Okay, we got one good movie. Now we
- 27:58Speaker 2: can start making a bunch of shit again. But we
- 27:59Speaker 2: don't have to. Like I don't think they're going to
- 28:01Speaker 2: do that, But then again, we didn't think they were
- 28:03Speaker 2: gonna make some of the stuff they made on Disney
- 28:05Speaker 2: Plus or hell, even some of the stuff they put
- 28:07Speaker 2: on in theaters. So we'll see what happens. So I
- 28:12Speaker 2: do want to get you out of here. I know
- 28:13Speaker 2: you we we've done two episodes back. But I do
- 28:15Speaker 2: appreciate that final thought here. It sounds like you're trying
- 28:19Speaker 2: to break out of a submission right now. I'm not
- 28:21Speaker 2: trying to break out of anything right now? What let
- 28:24Speaker 2: me ask you a question. What I was updated earlier?
- 28:30Speaker 2: What you threw me off? Here? My my, my moje
- 28:34Speaker 2: here final thought, just Stickley strictly with Deadpool of Overraine.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Two things, what would your rating be for this movie?
- 28:43Speaker 2: And then secondly you kind of allude to a little bit,
- 28:46Speaker 2: but how hopeful are you now for the future of
- 28:49Speaker 2: the MCU based on this movie alone?
- 28:53Speaker 3: Look, in terms of my review, I'm gonna give it
- 28:59Speaker 3: aid nine point five Dogpool licks out of ten.
- 29:05Speaker 2: I swear to God, I was gonna say licks, were
- 29:09Speaker 2: you really? I swear to God in my life, You're
- 29:12Speaker 2: gonna have to think of something else. I know. I gotta,
- 29:14Speaker 2: I gotta, I gotta.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Continue a nine point five gold plated Desert Eagles out
- 29:20Speaker 3: of ten.
- 29:24Speaker 2: But no, I uh.
- 29:25Speaker 3: I think that, you know, for the faults in the
- 29:30Speaker 3: setup for the plot, I think that the fan service,
- 29:35Speaker 3: the fourth wall breaks, the comedy, the action, you know,
- 29:39Speaker 3: the nostalgic beats and like just the just the like
- 29:45Speaker 3: the just the sendoffs, man like. I think this movie
- 29:50Speaker 3: was worth it. I think it exceeded the hype I
- 29:54Speaker 3: had going into it. I was totally blown away by
- 29:56Speaker 3: some of the cameos and some of the just even yeah,
- 29:59Speaker 3: like you said in the other episode, not even cameos,
- 30:01Speaker 3: like some of the reveals and characters in this movie.
- 30:07Speaker 3: And you know, I was, I think, out of the trilogy,
- 30:10Speaker 3: and you know, it's the most Deadpool movie We're ever
- 30:15Speaker 3: gonna get.
- 30:17Speaker 2: So I think it all deserves that nine point five.
- 30:20Speaker 3: But you know, I'm gonna hopefully get to go see
- 30:23Speaker 3: it again in theaters, you know, because I want to
- 30:28Speaker 3: take my lady to go see if she wasn't able
- 30:30Speaker 3: to go because of like afore mentioned uh you know,
- 30:35Speaker 3: doctor a level work that she's doing, right, so it
- 30:39Speaker 3: kind of takes presidents, But no, man, I I'm I
- 30:44Speaker 3: was really really I left the theater in a really
- 30:47Speaker 3: good mood and you can't you can't carry that away
- 30:51Speaker 3: for anything. And I you know, looking forward, I think that,
- 30:57Speaker 3: like I said earlier in this episode, had set the
- 30:59Speaker 3: bar pretty high. It set a good president precedence for
- 31:03Speaker 3: movies going forward. It can all be Deadpool movies, it
- 31:06Speaker 3: can all have gratuitous fourth wall breaks, but you know
- 31:09Speaker 3: what they can do is that they can try and
- 31:12Speaker 3: make things exciting again, make things worthwhile and impactful, and
- 31:17Speaker 3: you know, it's kind of an unprecedented thing where it's
- 31:20Speaker 3: like you're still building this cinematic universe, you're still trying
- 31:23Speaker 3: to drive it forward.
- 31:25Speaker 2: So I hope they get their legs back.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Under them and they can go, you know, off to
- 31:30Speaker 3: the races and definitely what the news we're going to
- 31:34Speaker 3: talk about in the next episode. There's a lot to
- 31:37Speaker 3: look forward to and a lot of new ground that
- 31:42Speaker 3: they're covering and.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Nothing you've ever seen in movies before. So that's my take.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Awesome take there, my good friend. Thanks bro, while you did,
- 31:55Speaker 2: I swear to God in my life, you took the
- 31:57Speaker 2: dog Lick one and then you went to the Gold
- 32:00Speaker 2: Desert Ego one, which, by the way, Dallas Layer's because again,
- 32:02Speaker 2: if you watched the movie nice Pool, of these nice guns,
- 32:05Speaker 2: you know the whole time, you know, as soon as
- 32:07Speaker 2: like Deadpool acknowledged those guns, you're like, oh, he's gonna
- 32:09Speaker 2: nice Pool's gonna get murdered just because Deadpool wants those guns,
- 32:13Speaker 2: which is hard. It is because he uses the guns
- 32:15Speaker 2: for all five seconds and he tosses them because he
- 32:18Speaker 2: run out of the So funny. So I'm gonna get
- 32:22Speaker 2: my thoughts on the outlook before I get my final
- 32:25Speaker 2: rating here. I am very excited. I know we kind
- 32:28Speaker 2: of alluded to a little ready about like what we're
- 32:30Speaker 2: gonna talk about next time with like the news up
- 32:32Speaker 2: broke last weekend. I mean I post on social media
- 32:34Speaker 2: and stuff like that. Robert Downey Junior is back. How
- 32:38Speaker 2: we'll get into like what that means and like where
- 32:40Speaker 2: we think it's gonna go. I have my I have
- 32:42Speaker 2: my theories. I know Clik and he collect. I don't
- 32:44Speaker 2: know if he'll be on for that one. He gave
- 32:46Speaker 2: me his opinion on it too. I know O G.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Patronier has his opinion. I'm very excited because I think
- 32:53Speaker 2: Marvel is hitting the right track because I think they
- 32:55Speaker 2: are going to go, and especially not just because of
- 32:57Speaker 2: Kevin fi wants to It's the Man Day by Bob Iger.
- 32:59Speaker 2: They're going with the lessons more kind of thing where
- 33:01Speaker 2: if they don't feel a character at all, due respect
- 33:04Speaker 2: to anyone that worked on it or who liked it,
- 33:06Speaker 2: characters like Echo Miss Marvel, although I actually really enjoyed
- 33:11Speaker 2: Miss MS. Marvel was a good ass show. I don't
- 33:12Speaker 2: care what people say Miss Marvel, Echo Hawk Guy all
- 33:17Speaker 2: no like, I mean, characters that are like, aren't on
- 33:19Speaker 2: that you know, quote unquote alpha level like an Iron
- 33:22Speaker 2: Man or something like that. They're probably not gonna get
- 33:24Speaker 2: shows like that anything crazy. They'll be like just characters
- 33:28Speaker 2: and movies. Because again, I know, I'm kind of ramming
- 33:30Speaker 2: on here a little bit, like why do everyone fall
- 33:32Speaker 2: in love with Hawkeye and Black Widow. It wasn't because
- 33:35Speaker 2: they got their own show. They were the side character.
- 33:37Speaker 2: They were side characters in the Avengers movies. But they
- 33:39Speaker 2: had their importance and they were awesome, you know what
- 33:41Speaker 2: I mean. They didn't need their own show, they need
- 33:43Speaker 2: their own movie. Sure, they all one of them got
- 33:45Speaker 2: their own show, one of them got their own movie,
- 33:47Speaker 2: which actually I thought the move was badass and that
- 33:50Speaker 2: Black and Black Widow. But I'm just excited because now
- 33:54Speaker 2: they're doing the lessons more kind of thing. They're reshooting movies.
- 33:57Speaker 2: They know that, like, hey, we got to fix this.
- 33:59Speaker 2: This isn't right, you know. By all accounts, the Captain
- 34:02Speaker 2: American movie, they pretty much reached out the whole damn thing,
- 34:04Speaker 2: which is good but also makes you go, what were
- 34:06Speaker 2: what did they shoot originally? But I'm excited. I'm really excited.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Also when you get the Russo brothers coming back to
- 34:16Speaker 2: essentially direct the next two Avengers movies. Again, it's one
- 34:19Speaker 2: of those things where if it ain't broke, don't fix it,
- 34:21Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Like the Russo's, Like some
- 34:24Speaker 2: movies they've had out of Marvel, they haven't been as successful.
- 34:29Speaker 2: You can't. I can't name one Marvel movie they've done
- 34:31Speaker 2: that has not been a hit. They did. They did
- 34:33Speaker 2: the Winter Soldier movie, which we discussed, yeah, right, yeah,
- 34:36Speaker 2: they did the Winter Soldier movie with Captain America, which
- 34:38Speaker 2: regards won the best of all time. They've done Infinity
- 34:41Speaker 2: War Endgame and then speaks for it, and I think
- 34:44Speaker 2: they think they did so. Yeah, they did Civil War
- 34:46Speaker 2: as well. It's like, right away, you got four of
- 34:48Speaker 2: the top notch of Marvel movies, but people regard as
- 34:51Speaker 2: the best of the best, and now you got to
- 34:53Speaker 2: come back to do two more Avengers movies. So I
- 34:55Speaker 2: got no complaints. Now Gates in my review here and
- 34:59Speaker 2: since my friend here took a really good joke, which
- 35:02Speaker 2: again that's that's how close and I are on that
- 35:04Speaker 2: same wavelength. We didn't even we'd even discussed this beforehand.
- 35:07Speaker 2: We just said that, but he took I swear to God,
- 35:09Speaker 2: I hit the ton joke, but I saw about one,
- 35:11Speaker 2: so overall, I really enjoyed this movie. I'm very happy
- 35:14Speaker 2: with it. This is a movie where I think the
- 35:18Speaker 2: more you see it, the more you're gonna appreciate it
- 35:20Speaker 2: because you're gonna you'll notice new things. Obviously, if you
- 35:23Speaker 2: haven't seen anything Marvel prior to this, you'll still enjoy it.
- 35:28Speaker 2: It is a kind of quote little easter egg. It's
- 35:30Speaker 2: like a little treat to yourself if you know Marvel
- 35:32Speaker 2: movies in history, where you'll you'll understand other things bigger,
- 35:34Speaker 2: like the cameos. With that being said, I'm going to
- 35:39Speaker 2: give this nine bone nine antimentium bones out of ten. Obviously,
- 35:46Speaker 2: if you're watching gossip Girl, then this will be ten
- 35:48Speaker 2: out of ten. Nice. With that being said, that being said,
- 35:52Speaker 2: thank you before we head out of here, og patron,
- 35:56Speaker 2: is there anything you like to get off your chest
- 35:57Speaker 2: plug before we Finally, I can't see and I actually
- 36:00Speaker 2: do let you out so you can actually go back
- 36:02Speaker 2: to your girlfriend and your home. Oh yeah, let's make
- 36:04Speaker 2: this pick. Uh I got some ship to do that
- 36:08Speaker 2: explain why I've been for the last week. Uh no, man,
- 36:11Speaker 2: don't get back there. Sorry, you know, like what you like.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Don't be a dick to steal a phrase from the
- 36:19Speaker 3: influence of Brian. Brian's saying, but like if if you
- 36:23Speaker 3: if you like ship, if you like movies, if you
- 36:27Speaker 3: like any kind of comic book ship, then like, don't
- 36:31Speaker 3: be afraid to dive in and and just enjoy it,
- 36:34Speaker 3: you know, like and vashidly. There's a lot of if
- 36:39Speaker 3: you're not hurting anybody, you're not causing anybody any pain
- 36:42Speaker 3: or any any grip, any gruff.
- 36:46Speaker 2: I'm like, love what you love. You know what I mean.
- 36:51Speaker 4: That's all.
- 36:51Speaker 2: I got nothing wrong with that voice. Crack. Sorry, No,
- 36:56Speaker 2: you're gonna You're gonna cry as always. That is Oji
- 37:00Speaker 2: Patrick Patrick. I am your favorite barman host. Really, I
- 37:03Speaker 2: want to call me Chuck. Thank you for joining this
- 37:04Speaker 2: week for episode one seventy one. Got some more stuff
- 37:07Speaker 2: coming up. As I mentioned earlier, you're probably hearing these
- 37:09Speaker 2: episodes a little bit later on, Like with Chuck, why
- 37:11Speaker 2: is the superview of Dead wolvering on a little bitler
- 37:13Speaker 2: than usual? If as the time you hear this, I
- 37:15Speaker 2: will be over in Germany having a couple of things
- 37:18Speaker 2: of some beer beer. I can't I'm still trying to
- 37:20Speaker 2: learn a little, but I'm not. It's beer. I'm saying
- 37:22Speaker 2: beer like I'm like in fucking Nashville beer. Also, I
- 37:26Speaker 2: have Jesus, so I think you're patients at that more
- 37:30Speaker 2: stuff coming out. Got some more content stuff coming out
- 37:33Speaker 2: in the fall with other content creators as well, and
- 37:35Speaker 2: actually promise it. Hey, because if you look at the
- 37:37Speaker 2: last two weeks before this, we had some other people
- 37:39Speaker 2: they've never heard before. So we spread his wings, spreading
- 37:42Speaker 2: my wings a little bit finally and finally get in there.
- 37:45Speaker 2: They don't pay me at all for this, got think
- 37:46Speaker 2: pop match for that. They've been a great resource to
- 37:48Speaker 2: connect with other content creators. Also a huge stout out
- 37:50Speaker 2: to Speaker for helping get the show running. Stuff like that.
- 37:53Speaker 2: They don't pay me for that. I pay them to
- 37:55Speaker 2: do that. Still the same, thank you anytime I have
- 37:57Speaker 2: a question, they always help me out as always. Chuck's
- 37:59Speaker 2: came and Tina on your socials at chucks Keena at
- 38:04Speaker 2: gmail dot com. We're recording this on July twenty ninth.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Hell Us froze over Patrick because I just got a
- 38:09Speaker 2: thing tweet on my phone that Jesse the Body Ventura
- 38:12Speaker 2: has appeared at Raw he's left the WAA, he's left
- 38:17Speaker 2: the Baja out of his eight months sin of the
- 38:20Speaker 2: year to come over. I can't do. I can't do
- 38:22Speaker 2: Jesse like we'll say sol bah. That's insane. I wish
- 38:27Speaker 2: I was joking in the fine words of Jesse the
- 38:31Speaker 2: Body Ventura, Be smart, be safe. He's ever said that. Also,
- 38:36Speaker 2: fuck hold code at any rate? Uh b well, stay safe.
- 38:42Speaker 2: If you had a drinks like we did not have tonight,
- 38:45Speaker 2: I clearly had way too much fucking coffee. So I
- 38:47Speaker 2: apologize if I rambled on the last episodes, stay hydrated?
- 38:53Speaker 2: And uh, how do we sign off this week? Oh
- 38:56Speaker 2: you know what? Bye bye, there you go. That's a
- 38:58Speaker 2: will sign of it. That was awful. I don't care,
- 39:03Speaker 2: thanks man. Yeah, I literally just I literally just opened
- 39:08Speaker 2: my phone for a second because I got a text
- 39:09Speaker 2: from my sister Instagram right now. Yeah, they just tweeted it,
- 39:17Speaker 2: Jessee the Body Fenser.
- 39:20Speaker 3: For Why though, are they really trying to distance themselves
- 39:23Speaker 3: from Oh God.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Are they gonna have them on commentary? Are they gonna
- 39:29Speaker 2: know they need to have him? I know Carrie Cross
- 39:32Speaker 2: will have a match and they needn't have him commentate
- 39:35Speaker 2: carry Across's match because Carrie and Cross can do a
- 39:38Speaker 2: good uh, a good h Jesse shound like me? Why
- 39:44Speaker 2: does Scot shound like me? Unless he doesn't call anybody
- 39:48Speaker 2: slack on face? I feel like you and I can
- 39:52Speaker 2: do a decent Jesse if we practice. Why don't you
- 39:56Speaker 2: tell me? Why don't you tell me? Patrick, I was there.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Why don't you tell me about the secret government facilities
- 40:04Speaker 4: experimenting on human beings creating cross animal hybridge.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Why don't you tell me? Why don't you tell me
- 40:11Speaker 2: you think that shooter who shot at Trump was the
- 40:13Speaker 2: real shooter? No, I know for a fact it was
- 40:16Speaker 2: a squirrel in the weeds.
- 40:19Speaker 4: Who was a squirrel gathering nuts on a grassy knoll
- 40:22Speaker 4: with an AR fifteen.
- 40:23Speaker 2: He wasn't upset that Donald Trump was given a speech.
- 40:26Speaker 2: He was upset that they put the stage on the
- 40:28Speaker 2: best nuts spot in the entire field. But you nuts
- 40:32Speaker 2: there two winters ago. But you wouldn't give a shit
- 40:34Speaker 2: because all you care about is rage away fees in
- 40:36Speaker 2: the United States. That's why I was.
- 40:41Speaker 4: When I was governor of Minnesota, squirrels were able to
- 40:45Speaker 4: gather their own nuts.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Under my leadership, squirrels and gathered our own nuts However,
- 40:52Speaker 2: under the leadership of whoever the fuck runs Minnesota, it's
- 40:55Speaker 2: all concrete. I trained with.
- 40:58Speaker 4: Seven several squirrels when I was on the Navy Shield.
- 41:03Speaker 4: We were known as the frog Men. Those were the
- 41:05Speaker 4: frog squirrels.
- 41:07Speaker 2: You think Chris Kyle was an actual frog squirrel? No, no,
- 41:13Speaker 2: why don't you tell me? Why don't you tell me?
- 41:17Speaker 2: Why don't you tell me?
- 41:18Speaker 4: Brother?
- 41:19Speaker 2: Although you will be able to tell me because you
- 41:20Speaker 2: haven't lived. Who lived? If you live in the Baja
- 41:23Speaker 2: for six months, you know what it's like to be
- 41:26Speaker 2: a man.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I also a first man on television to wear
- 41:30Speaker 4: an earring.
- 41:34Speaker 2: God damn it, google it. Or if you're a real man,
- 41:39Speaker 2: you wouldn't google it, you would just bing it. But
- 41:42Speaker 2: it doesn't matter because you're not like me. Also, real
- 41:45Speaker 2: men think today they're tough. They bled in, they bitch
- 41:48Speaker 2: like a man, or let's sorry, like a bitch. Well
- 41:50Speaker 2: you don't what. I ain't got time to bleed that's
- 41:56Speaker 2: going on the past. Why don't you tell me? Why
- 42:02Speaker 2: don't you tell me? Because I can't believe. I literally
- 42:06Speaker 2: opened my phone and Jesse the moodument terrists on Twitter?
- 42:11Speaker 2: What timeline is? This? Is this the sacred time. That's it.
- 42:17Speaker 2: That way, Patrick, that's it. I answered the question earlier,
- 42:19Speaker 2: Who is our anchor? Why don't you tell me? Why
- 42:21Speaker 2: don't you tell me who our anchor is? You think
- 42:24Speaker 2: it's Donald Trump, you think it's it was Elvis Presley.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I don't you tell me? Why don't you tell me? Timeline?
- 42:33Speaker 2: Actually that answers actually know that answers to question in
- 42:37Speaker 2: two thousand, But your was it twenty fourteen when Charles
- 42:41Speaker 2: turned twenty one years Was it twenty yeah, when Charles
- 42:44Speaker 2: o'donalds are twenty one years old? It was also the
- 42:47Speaker 2: day that affortune Robin Williams past and right after that
- 42:51Speaker 2: shit went to hell. If you have anything else that
- 42:53Speaker 2: you think in a counter argument this point, why don't
- 42:55Speaker 2: you tell me.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Hop and Williams had intel on secret government experiments to
- 43:05Speaker 4: create medic humans. Why don't you tell me why he's
- 43:08Speaker 4: not making jokes.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Jokes, the jokes on all of us, the jokes on
- 43:15Speaker 2: all of us if you know the joke about the
- 43:19Speaker 2: joke being on all of us? And why don't you
- 43:20Speaker 2: tell me? I don't although, please leave a message because
- 43:24Speaker 2: I'll be in the Baja for the next eight months.
- 43:27Speaker 2: I don't check my phone. The shell service is horrible.
- 43:31Speaker 2: I don't check my phone because I don't have a
- 43:33Speaker 2: cell phone, because I don't want them to track me.
- 43:36Speaker 2: You leave off the grid. All of Baja's off the grid.
- 43:42Speaker 2: All of Baja is off the grid because I pay
- 43:45Speaker 2: for all of Baja to be off. You can google this,
- 43:48Speaker 2: or if you're a man, or if you're a man,
- 43:50Speaker 2: you can read it in the newspaper. And when you do,
- 43:53Speaker 2: why don't you tell me what it says? Why don't
- 43:57Speaker 2: you tell me? Why own car for self driving? Could
- 44:02Speaker 2: you imagine? Could you imagine Jesse the body of Venture
- 44:06Speaker 2: driving a tesla? Mister VENTURR location, mister Ventura, where would
- 44:12Speaker 2: you like to go? Why don't you tell me? You
- 44:26Speaker 2: break their programming? The government cannot track you anymore. I
- 44:31Speaker 2: hired some kid named Logan Paul off the internet to
- 44:34Speaker 2: come jail break my tesla. And you won't tell me how.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Why don't you tell me, sir.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Body?
- 44:44Speaker 2: He said, why don't you tell me? Why don't you
- 44:47Speaker 2: tell me the truth about if the Earth is flat
- 44:50Speaker 2: or not?
- 44:52Speaker 4: Why don't you tell me?
- 44:53Speaker 2: Why don't you tell me that Earth is not flat?
- 44:56Speaker 2: They literally made a movie about the Earth being flat
- 44:58Speaker 2: and them filming Leo Armstrong faking it with Channy Tatum
- 45:03Speaker 2: and Scarlett Johansson.
- 45:04Speaker 4: A basement of the Hollywood study. Do you think they
- 45:07Speaker 4: make that movie? Why don't you tell me?
- 45:11Speaker 2: You can google it? Becoming is becoming more Russian?
- 45:20Speaker 4: Why don't you tell me while you've never seen me
- 45:22Speaker 4: in John Malkovich in the same room.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Why don't Why don't you tell me why Patrick's Jesse
- 45:29Speaker 2: is getting more Russian? Is Jesse the body venturer Russian?
- 45:33Speaker 2: Is your Russian spy? Is your Russian caveat? Why don't
- 45:36Speaker 2: you tell me?
- 45:37Speaker 4: It's a commy syops He's a commy syops operative.
- 45:43Speaker 2: The sugar phrase is, why don't you tell me? Since
- 45:49Speaker 2: your tucks Cancina and you guys talk about superheroes a
- 45:52Speaker 2: little bit here and there. You want to know the truth.
- 45:54Speaker 2: You want to know the whole truth, your real conspiracy theory.
- 45:57Speaker 2: This is no conspiracy theory. This is nothing but the truth.
- 46:00Speaker 2: And you I don't need you to tell me because
- 46:02Speaker 2: I know the truth. So I'm going to tell you
- 46:04Speaker 2: Superman red Son was based off my life. So why
- 46:07Speaker 2: don't you tell me? If you have a trouble problem
- 46:09Speaker 2: with that. You can you can google this. You can
- 46:12Speaker 2: look this up.
- 46:13Speaker 4: When I was governor of from your show that I
- 46:15Speaker 4: commissioned Superman Red Shun. There's an autobiographical novel.
- 46:22Speaker 2: You think James Gond wanted to start David corn Sweat
- 46:25Speaker 2: as Superman. No, Sweat, that's his actual name. That's his name.
- 46:29Speaker 2: By the way, that's a name, it's a family name.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Do you do you really think you want to start
- 46:35Speaker 2: David right? No, he wanted to start the real Superman,
- 46:38Speaker 2: but they didn't want a Russian Superman because it's not American.
- 46:41Speaker 2: So why don't you tell me? Why?
- 46:44Speaker 4: Why don't you tell me why? There's why there's David
- 46:47Speaker 4: korn Sweat not his real name.
- 46:49Speaker 2: You can google this.
- 46:50Speaker 4: That's a false identity.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Why don't you tell me the fact that I have
- 46:56Speaker 2: been training my entire life? I would at least you
- 46:58Speaker 2: haven't know this is a Navy seal. Yes, but why
- 47:06Speaker 2: don't you tell me how Henry Cavill got that jacked
- 47:09Speaker 2: for Wolverine? You know you think he got that jack
- 47:14Speaker 2: plane PC all day? No, why don't you tell me.
- 47:17Speaker 4: Those arms playing Warhammer forty K I was trying to
- 47:20Speaker 4: get the name.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Think of the game.
- 47:24Speaker 4: Why painted miniatures for those delks?
- 47:26Speaker 2: No legal government?
- 47:29Speaker 4: YO facility buried underneath the crust of the earth.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Why don't you tell me? Why is it the only
- 47:35Speaker 2: thing people remember from the pandemic is the vaccines and
- 47:39Speaker 2: Henry Calvill building his own PC. Why don't they remember
- 47:42Speaker 2: how the virus spread? Why don't you tell me? I
- 47:46Speaker 2: want you to remember. I'll tell you who remembers though,
- 47:50Speaker 2: John Malcolm tell you Bill Gates. I'm so happy I
- 48:00Speaker 2: kept recording. I'm sweaty because I'm laughing. Sorry, puse it's
- 48:05Speaker 2: hot his fucking hair. And don't you drink coffee? I
- 48:07Speaker 2: did drink coff I know I had to go. I
- 48:09Speaker 2: need to go work out and Bride, you gotta go
- 48:10Speaker 2: work out and I got you. I gotta work it
- 48:12Speaker 2: out or ship it out? Brother?
- 48:14Speaker 4: What's up?
- 48:15Speaker 2: Brother? Okay? Do oh shit? We can't do it anymore either.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Why don't you tell me why we can't do that anymore?
- 48:20Speaker 4: Whatever to the whatever happened to the Mayahi guy from
- 48:24Speaker 4: the early days of YouTube?
- 48:26Speaker 2: Why don't you tell me? Why? Why don't you tell me?
- 48:29Speaker 2: Whatever happened to that Genna Marbles chick from YouTube? Where
- 48:32Speaker 2: is she now? Why is Genera Marbles? I don't want
- 48:35Speaker 2: you to. I don't know why the fuck I just
- 48:37Speaker 2: saw that name. Why don't you tell me where's Peudi Pie?
- 48:41Speaker 4: Why don't you tell me why Cody Co had sh
- 48:44Speaker 4: with a seventeen year old girl?
- 48:45Speaker 2: Oh god, what allegedly?
- 48:52Speaker 4: Why don't you tell me why the Philip DeFranco show
- 48:54Speaker 4: is still on?
- 48:55Speaker 2: I've been filled in. Why don't you tell me I
- 49:01Speaker 2: can't even make a joke. Why don't you tell me
- 49:03Speaker 2: why Chuck can't make a joke? He always has one?
- 49:07Speaker 4: Why don't you tell me why I'm still locked in
- 49:09Speaker 4: the cantina? They don't want you to know.
- 49:11Speaker 2: The jo Why don't you tell me why? This part
- 49:13Speaker 2: is longer than the part two of the sort Yeah,
- 49:17Speaker 2: I gotta go. Why don't you tell me why you
