- 0:02On in the grip of oppression.
- 0:06I fought for my liberty.
- 0:10I paid with the blood of my people.
- 0:14Freedom has never been free.
- 0:18Now my doors always open.
- 0:23To dreamers and friends.
- 0:27When I'm attacked, I protect and deep.
- 0:35Because my name is America.
- 0:39Hello, everyone, and welcome.
- 0:41This is Karen Schoen, and you are listening to the Prism of America's Education brought to you on the America Outloud dot News Network.
- 0:50Today I have asked a friend, David Callan, who I have to ask you this question, David.
- 0:57Why on earth did you change your occupation into farming?
- 1:02One of the hardest, I believe.
- 1:05Agriculture is one of the hardest businesses to get a total handle on because you are dependent on the one thing that we have no control over called the weather.
- 1:17And you were very successful.
- 1:20And I know you're successful in farming, but what made you change your mind?
- 1:25Or change your occupation, I should say.
- 1:29Actually, it was a COVID situation.
- 1:31Most folks knew that I had previously worked as a crew for a Legion uh Airlines.
- 1:37So I spent a lot of time in the air.
- 1:39And when COVID hit, people lost their minds.
- 1:42Uh, they were not so nice.
- 1:44And I decided I didn't want to participate in that uh bit of insanity uh that the world had become and was able to withdraw to my farm.
- 1:54I already I was already a bee farmer.
- 1:55I've been farming bees for about 25, almost 30 years now.
- 2:00And decided to take it to the next level and got into produce, microgreens as well as uh chicken farming, where we we produce eggs as well as chicks, but we do it a little bit different, and we do it high-tech.
- 2:14So we're using technology as you can see in the room here behind me.
- 2:17This is one of our grow rooms uh for microgreens as well as sprouting out uh all of our vegetable and produce plants.
- 2:24It has been very successful using technology, so we minimize water usage and uh basically all natural uh materials to do it.
- 2:34Uh, we don't require herbicides, pesticides because it's all uh done in a controlled environment.
- 2:41Uh, we also have large uh growing containers uh by freight farm where we can grow uh between uh six and eight thousand heads of lettuce in each unit every 28 days.
- 2:53So it's a uh very unique farm we've got going on, but compiled with many other aspects of it.
- 3:00The purpose for all that was really to become a little less dependent on a system of imported goods, truckers, other farmers, other nations producing food for the United States, and I wanted to be able to produce for my local community.
- 3:16Well, you have done an amazing job, and I agree with you with the truckers and farmers, especially.
- 3:23We're not hearing really about what's going on in Mexico, and there is a huge trucker farmer strike.
- 3:32Uh, the truckers are lining up on the highways, they're not letting anybody through.
- 3:38And what is that gonna do to our produce?
- 3:42Because people don't realize what happens because the way the world is today, we are all dependent upon each other in some way, shape, or form.
- 3:51So, what happens in Mexico?
- 3:53Uh, stopping food produce from coming to the border to the American border, uh, is gonna stop the production of food.
- 4:02And shortly, I believe we're gonna be seeing a lot of shortages in America.
- 4:07What do you think about that one, Dave?
- 4:10We have absolutely it's already happening.
- 4:13Um, when you look when you combine that that strike with our fuel costs uh with the Iran war and what is happening to the global cost of energy and fuel and the inflation that is coming out of that, and people go, Oh, well, farmers are gonna make a bunch of money.
- 4:30I can't charge any more for my goods that I'm producing today than I did yesterday.
- 4:34And we are pretty much capped it with the market will pay.
- 4:37And in many cases, corn has been become this massive crop because it's competing with fuel for the ethanol, and many of the other produce crops have gone away to allow for the corn crops.
- 4:50And what has now happened is we're reliant predominantly on Mexico and South America for our peppers, our eggplant, a lot of our squash, zucchini, those daily staples that that we take in our tomatoes, things like that.
- 5:03And when that trucker strike starts, it shuts down that production coming into the United States.
- 5:10So you'll have that that trickle effect where what's left in route gets to us, and then you're gonna have this drop dead date where it is you're looking at five to seven dollars for a head of lettuce or you know, ten dollars for a pack of three peppers, and Americans can't absorb that cost right now with everything we're looking at.
- 5:30Florida is one of those prime states where we're talking about property tax, and our legislatures, I believe, kind of failed us this year on a property tax reform because they were focused on too many bills that did absolutely nothing.
- 5:42And they need real common sense property tax reform, and how are they gonna drive that money?
- 5:48And how are they gonna take care of the bills?
- 5:51But at the same time, nobody's talking about cutting the waistbelt of government.
- 5:55And so we've really got to, as locals start taking control at the local level, the state level, and the federal level to say enough is enough.
- 6:05We the people are tired of working to the bone and getting nothing in return from our government but a hard time and regulations.
- 6:14So we're facing more and more of that as our wonderful Congress this past year in Tallahassee is giving more to the developers because they feel well, we'll just bring in more people and that'll grow the state, and we don't have to pay attention to anything else because that'll grow our government that will grow everything, and we'll just bring in those rich people and uh we'll be able to keep the taxes the way they are.
- 6:40Everybody will think they're getting a fabulous deal by coming to Florida because there's quote no income tax, which is true, there isn't, and yes, you are getting a fabulous deal on that part, but you're not carrying it forward by saying, okay, now we have all these people, what are we going to do?
- 6:58How are we going to take care of them?
- 6:59How are we going to feed them?
- 7:00We going to feed them.
- 7:01What is water a major issue down in Charlotte County?
- 7:01What is water a major issue down in Charlotte County?
- 7:05Because I know it is up here in the panhandle where I am.
- 7:05Because I know it is up here in the panhandle where I am.
- 7:09It is a problem all across the state.
- 7:09It is a problem all across the state.
- 7:12And our legislatures just keep, even at the local level, our local communities are leaders, just keep approving more development, more development, more development.
- 7:12And our legislatures just keep, even at the local level, our local communities, our leaders, just keep approving more development, more development, more development.
- 7:20Development's not a bad thing.
- 7:20Development's not a bad thing.
- 7:22We need jobs, we need businesses.
- 7:22We need jobs, we need businesses, we need industrial.
- 7:24We need industrial.
- 7:26Those don't have a huge tax on the infrastructure.
- 7:26Those don't have a huge tax on the infrastructure.
- 7:30But when you start putting in neighborhoods of three to five to eight and 10,000 homes in a community, that becomes a huge task on the water, the sewer, which many uh counties are now going to deep well injection, which is just poisoning our aquifer.
- 7:45And I know they're gonna say, Oh, that's blasphemy.
- 7:47We're not doing it.
- 7:48What goes down must come up from the from underneath, and that is what is happening.
- 7:52We are poisoning our drinking water from beneath.
- 7:55And then they've got to treat it to get it back.
- 7:58And it's I don't want those chemicals in my water, and I can't grow plants in that treated water because that treated water is so toxic.
- 8:05So if it's toxic to my plants, it's gonna be toxic for you to drink and consume.
- 8:10Don't let them tell you it's it's it's perfectly fine.
- 8:13On top of that, you have to understand why our legislators and local leaders are allowing this to happen.
- 8:19Their salaries are based off of their voting population, the number of people living there.
- 8:26It's not the tax base, it is not the number of businesses, it is the number of people registered to vote in their communities, and that is how they get paid.
- 8:35So the more people they can compact into a community or pack into an area, the more money these folks are making on their paychecks.
- 8:42And that is where we've the people have got to say enough is enough.
- 8:46And now we've got Byron Donald's, we've got a number of others.
- 8:48I've got my local county commissioners all pushing for data centers.
- 8:52People have no clue the water that is consumed in a data center, or the sludge that comes out that has to be treated and is toxic coming out of that cooling water.
- 9:02We're talking for a large data center.
- 9:05We are talking in excess of 1.2 billion gallons of fresh potable water a year just to cool that center, not to mention the between six and eight megawatts of power that those stations consume.
- 9:19So your local communities are going to start facing some serious crises, which I am right now.
- 9:24I'm going to talk about this one.
- 9:26My community here in Charlotte County.
- 9:28I live in a little area, it's a farming community called the Charlotte Ranchettes.
- 9:31We're right on the edge of the city of Punta Gorda, heading out to no man's land towards uh towards the east, out towards Okeechobee, and they want to slap a data center right in the middle of our community.
- 9:44There's no public water, there's no public sewer, no nothing, and Amazon just purchased the property for 20 million dollars.
- 9:50I don't think they would have dropped 20 million dollars on that project if they didn't have the assurance from our commissioners, or I'm gonna call her out, Miss Vanessa Oliver, who is, I believe, the salesperson and poster child for data centers.
- 10:03Spoken to Tallahassee on it.
- 10:05She talks about how great they are in the jobs they produce.
- 10:08They do not produce jobs.
- 10:09Data centers bring their own specialized construction crews in, they bring their people in from out of state, they're traveling workers, and then the people that are left behind to operate it is a handful of anywhere from eight to a hundred locals to operate that data center.
- 10:24This has got to stop.
- 10:25And ask yourself what is the data center for work?
- 10:29Well, you got your flock cameras, you got all your data collection, you've got your cell phones being tracked, you got your metadata, you've got everything that's going on on your computers, your phones, everything that our government wants to monitor every aspect of our lives going on at a data center.
- 10:43It's not just AI creation.
- 10:46So people need to start waking up to their communities and realizing what our leaders are doing to us.
- 10:50They are poisoning us, they're destroying our communities, and why did most of us come to Florida?
- 10:55Why have people come to Florida for set for the last nearly century?
- 10:59It was for the natural resources and beauty.
- 11:02It was to get away from that rat race of life that the northerners have created in those cities.
- 11:08We've come here for that peace, that serenity, that that being at one with nature that they are so quickly bulldozing and paving over.
- 11:16We've got to work to vote out every one of our politicians at the local state level.
- 11:21Get rid of them out of Florida and start anew.
- 11:24They're making it impossible for us to do by tacking bills on it.
- 11:27I'm going to call it the Matt the Welder bill.
- 11:30I am so glad you brought that up because I was going to ask you about the Matt the Welder bill.
- 11:36And I don't think people realize what was done to a gentleman running for office that actually knows what agriculture is about.
- 11:45And is trying to get that message across.
- 11:47So please tell everyone.
- 11:50So Matt Taylor, also known as Matt the Welder.
- 11:54Um, he is a part-time comedian, uh, local, an activist, uh, very involved.
- 12:00Uh, I'm honored to call him a friend.
- 12:03Uh, he is somebody that understands not just agriculture and the history of Florida, but he also understands our environment and the interactions that are going between Mosaic and many of these other companies and what is happening to our beautiful natural resources here in the pilfering of it.
- 12:19And the more Matt has spoke out and decided to run for agriculture commission, the more they try to cancel this man all the way to the point that we've had even Wilton Simpson's uh hand picked uh young lady first draft a bill was House Bill 91.
- 12:36That got shot down, so they just incorporated it into another bill that they would not let Matt run on the ballot under a nickname, which is actually a nickname affidavit.
- 12:47It is allowed in every county in every race across the state.
- 12:51You fill out your real name, here's your nickname.
- 12:54We have one that was running here locally named Gunny Stevens.
- 12:57His name's not Gunny, it's his nickname.
- 13:00So they refuse to allow him to run by that name.
- 13:02So he did what everybody would do and say, you know what, everybody knows me is Matt the welder, and he's already run one campaign.
- 13:09They said we didn't see your name because it was Matt Taylor on it.
- 13:12They didn't know it was Matt the welder.
- 13:14So Matt legally changed his name through petition in the courts to Matt the Welder.
- 13:19First name Matt, middle name the last name welder.
- 13:23So what do they have to do?
- 13:25They're so scared of them that Wilton Simpson has to get the legislature to create a bill to prevent anybody who has had their name changed by petition within the last 365 days before qualifying that you are no longer valid to be on a ballot.
- 13:41That is an atrocity, and in fact, that's criminal that our legislature approved that.
- 13:47And I'm calling out Ron DeSantis for passing that bill and signing it.
- 13:53He should be ashamed of himself.
- 13:55That is not governance, that is protection of your friends.
- 13:59And that is what's happening in so many of these counties all over the state.
- 14:00And that is what's happening in so many of these counties all over the state.
- 14:04With that, when I'm talking about covering up for each other, right here in Charlotte County, a news story broke two weeks ago about one of our very own commissioners, Christopher Constance, plastic surgeon, developer, investor, sits on our county commission, had pictures from his private practice, his his uh plastic surgeon practice, many of the photos nudes on his government-issued laptop.
- 14:04With that, when I'm talking about covering up for each other, right here in Charlotte County, a news story broke two weeks ago about one of our very own commissioners, Christopher Constance, plastic surgeon, developer, investor, sits on our county commission, had pictures from his private practice, his his uh plastic surgeon practice, many of the photos nudes on his government issued laptop.
- 14:29There was an investigation.
- 14:31He refused to participate in the investigation, and in fact, did not cooperate in the investigation.
- 14:37He was found that he did not cooperate, broke the rules, found that those photos violated the rules, not to mention HIPAA law and everything else that goes with this because they're now public record.
- 14:47But then our chairman, Joseph Teseo, when he receives the findings that there needed to be a reprimand, says, I was not offended by the photos, therefore, no rules were broke.
- 14:58It's null and void.
- 14:59This is what happens when you have cronyism at its finest, sticking up for each other, both of them developers, both of them builders.
- 15:08Shame on these two.
- 15:09I'm calling for their resignations tomorrow.
- 15:12And anybody in Charlotte County that wants to get involved in a recall of these two men, we're going to recall them before the uh primary election.
- 15:22This is going to not just help with this, but it's going to help with this Amazon data center, so they do not get the rezoning from agricultural to commercial.
- 15:30But we've got to be involved.
- 15:31And this is the stuff that is happening all over the state.
- 15:34Our legislature sneak this stuff into the bills.
- 15:38We don't know what it is.
- 15:39They tell us it's good for us.
- 15:41And 90% of our uninformed voters go, this is wonderful, like the blue ribbon bill.
- 15:48They're destroying our state.
- 15:50And everybody's clapping with thunderous applause of how great a job everybody's doing until you read the fine print and realize that they're paving over Florida.
- 16:01And it's a shame because we have to hold on to our agricultural heritage as well as our natural resource heritage.
- 16:07It's not going to be here for the next generation if we keep going.
- 16:10No, and we keep on hearing.
- 16:13That's quite all right because you're saying exactly what I have been saying.
- 16:18And you know, when this happens, folks, and people say, What can we do?
- 16:23I say, look in the mirror, because we caused it, and it's going to be up to us to change it.
- 16:30And the only change that's going to come is from we the people.
- 16:34And we have to recognize that the legislators are not listening.
- 16:38They don't care what we the people say.
- 16:40They don't care, for example, let's look at uh federally with the uh voter bill with the Save America.
- 16:4880% of the country, including Democrats, including independents, want the um Save Act to be enacted, to be passed.
- 16:59And yet the Senate is saying, No, we don't want to do that.
- 17:03What who elected you?
- 17:05And that's our fault.
- 17:07I keep on asking the same question, Dave.
- 17:09Why do people who scream that they are uh against rhinos voting for the same rhinos?
- 17:16Why are they doing that?
- 17:18I I it is a mystery to me.
- 17:20It really is a mystery.
- 17:22Uh, about money.
- 17:24Everything is about money care.
- 17:26And when you start to look into the finances, and I'm going to encourage everybody to go out to each other states, anybody that's watching from somewhere else, go to your Secretary of State's website and look at all the campaign finance reports filed.
- 17:40Not just campaign finance, but start looking at the finance reports for PACs, super PACs.
- 17:46Who's funding who?
- 17:48And you start to realize these big corporations like Mosaic is funding everybody here in Florida to keep them in office.
- 17:54So they keep voting for all these jibstacks.
- 17:56They keep voting for more phosphate mining, they keep voting for less regulations on their mining operation, which is just destroying the state's beauty.
- 18:04When you look at that, it's all about money and who's funding these campaigns.
- 18:08And it is a shame.
- 18:09It is it is huge money that goes into these campaigns.
- 18:14You look at Byron Donald's, millions upon millions of dollars into his campaign, and you look at where that money's come from.
- 18:22It is not from good folks.
- 18:23And I've heard a couple of people say, Well, I'm going to take their money and use it against them.
- 18:26The moment you make a deal with the devil, you've sold your soul, you're gone to hell.
- 18:31Yes, and and this is happening in the great state of Florida that everyone says is the role model for the rest of the country.
- 18:40And Karen, what are you worried about?
- 18:42We have two times more Republicans than Democrats in the great state of Florida.
- 18:48Well, I don't think that makes any difference because when you have a bunch of Republicans that say, I'm not going to vote because they're all corrupt, what does that do?
- 18:56It gives the Democrats the ability to win offices, and that's what we see going around the state.
- 19:02Uh, look at Maria uh Salazar, who has brought us the quote dignity bill, dignity, believe believe me, folks.
- 19:12What does that mean?
- 19:13It means amnesty.
- 19:15So every place where you see the word dignity, put the word amnesty in because that's what they intend to do.
- 19:22They want to uh give 10 million people green cards for jobs that don't exist anymore because they're taking AI and making that the job pool.
- 19:35So, how is that gonna work, Dave?
- 19:37How does that work?
- 19:40I it's a concerted effort, I believe, and this is where the conspiracy theorists comes out in me is if you can get everybody onto a basic income, doled out by the government under high tax rates, you control your populace, you control what they do, you control their career paths, you control everything about them.
- 19:59It makes people easier to control when you can tell them, well, you can't buy that, you can't purchase this, you can't own that house.
- 20:06What's Class Schwab say?
- 20:08You'll own nothing, but you'll be happy.
- 20:10I got news for them.
- 20:12Um I'm a proud property owner, I'm a proud farm and business owner, and I am gonna hold on to that right to my dying breath.
- 20:20And that is where we, the people have got to stand up and get very angry over this and say, enough is enough.
- 20:26This is not a Democrat problem, it is not a Republican problem.
- 20:30This is an American problem.
- 20:32We have a constitution and a rule of law that seems to be getting subverted every day, and that is where we the people were given that right to stand up and say, Enough is enough.
- 20:41We're not going to put up with this anymore.
- 20:43We want that constitutional rule back, and we're tired of the overregulation.
- 20:48Yes, and it seems as though it's uh as I say, it is our fault.
- 20:53We need to vet our candidates.
- 20:55We need to ask them the hard questions.
- 20:58Where do you stand on AI centers?
- 21:00Centers.
- 21:01How many developments do you want in our county, our state?
- 21:01How many developments do you want in our county, our state?
- 21:05Uh, what are you going to do to help support the farmers who were just devastated by a frost that nobody expected in the middle of what we what was a good growing season?
- 21:05What are you going to do to help support the farmers who were just devastated by a frost that nobody expected in the middle of what we what was a good growing season?
- 21:18We would have had incredible crops.
- 21:18We would have had incredible crops.
- 21:20And now we have about half of what we started out with.
- 21:20And now we have about half of what we started out with.
- 21:24How is that going to feed anybody?
- 21:24How is that going to feed anybody?
- 21:26And then put the strike in Mexico on top of it.
- 21:26And then put the strike in Mexico on top of it.
- 21:29And I'm
- 21:29And I'm like you said, our shelves are going to become very bare very soon.
- 21:35And where are our legislators?
- 21:36They're busy saying, come on down, more people, more people.
- 21:40And we need to have more developments and we need to have more AI centers.
- 21:46What is wrong with this picture?
- 21:47What is wrong with the American people?
- 21:50Folks, we are facing a primary.
- 21:53And the primary to me is the most important election in the state of Florida, because usually whoever wins the primary goes on to win the general election.
- 22:04We notoriously don't vote in the primary.
- 22:08We don't pay attention.
- 22:09We go to the general and we say, oh, he has an R next to his name.
- 22:14So I'm an R, so we'll vote for the R.
- 22:17It doesn't work that way when you have bad people.
- 22:20And then when you have good people like Matt Dewelder, who is really standing for something, please go online and go to his Facebook page and watch some of his videos.
- 22:31You will be astounded at the crap that they are putting in our water at what they're doing to our animals, and as Dave said, what they're doing to our crops.
- 22:41So think that the most important election that we're facing is the primary, which is August 18th.
- 22:50And we should be making sure that every candidate we vote for supports what we, the people want.
- 23:05I'm going to give you folks a quick statistic on that when we're talking about primaries.
- 23:10Primaries tend to have between 15 and 24% voter turnout.
- 23:16Which means that that small pool of people make the basically the rules, the regulations, the pick the candidates for the rest of us.
- 23:30Because most folks don't realize how important the primary is here in the state of Florida.
- 23:35And I am glad you talked about the primary because that is Florida's voting day.
- 23:40Forget the November election right now.
- 23:44August 18th.
- 23:45That is the day you need to get up, get out there and get your vote in because that is what's going to have the biggest effect on you locally.
- 23:54Vet your candidates, look what they stand for.
- 23:57Look at who's funding them.
- 23:59That is the biggest word of advice I can give all our listeners today is to do your homework on these candidates.
- 24:05And if you want a state that is paved over, no more natural beauty, and the cost of living goes through the roof, and you got to be concerned about what's in that drinking water, then you know what?
- 24:15Keep voting for everybody that you've been voting for because that's what you're going to deserve to get.
- 24:21But look at those grassroots people that are there to truly make that change and say enough is enough.
- 24:28I also encourage you to shop local.
- 24:31Find your local farmer.
- 24:33Find your local farmers' market, not just a farmer's market that a couple of guys or a couple of gals set up downtown and everything's imported with labels from China or out of South America.
- 24:44Find those farmers markets that are run by your local farmers, bringing in those local small businesses working together to make your town successful and healthy.
- 24:55So I encourage you to get out there and find that local food, that local produce, something that is not covered in pesticides and filth.
- 25:03Thank you.
- 25:04Fabulous advice, Dave.
- 25:05Where can people find you and get some of your advice as they need it for their local farms?
- 25:11Because that's the other thing.
- 25:13If you have a patch of land, put some plants on it.
- 25:16And like my husband says, if they're not edible, they're not worth planting.
- 25:22But right now we've got to pay attention to those edibles and growing tomatoes, growing lettuce, growing things that we need to keep us healthy is what we should be doing.
- 25:32And it's a wonderful thing to start with kids as uh they learn how the growth cycle works.
- 25:39So it is so important.
- 25:40It is so important.
- 25:42And uh, where can people find you, Dave?
- 25:45So we have a website under construction right now.
- 25:48Um then we have a Facebook page that you can reach out on.
- 25:51It's Kaelin's Farmers Market on Facebook, as well as Kalen's feed store.
- 25:58So both those will come straight, Jimmy.
- 26:00Message us, we'll get to you.
- 26:01But one of the things we are offering for folks is a training class where you can come out and learn, or you can do a Zoom class where you can learn how to do container gardening, how you can learn to uh do square foot gardening, as well as it's half acre self-sufficiency.
- 26:17So if you have a postage stamp lot in a neighborhood, you can grow enough food in your backyard to support yourself and your family and several of your neighbors.
- 26:25We will teach you how to do that.
- 26:27We will teach you how where to get those seeds that are going to keep producing, reproducing quality plants for you year after year after year, and you're gonna get the biggest yields that you can for your family.
- 26:38So come out, check us out.
- 26:39There's also a new event next Saturday, the 18th, and it is at the hollow.
- 26:45So if you go out, check out the hollow uh from 10 to one, it's about protecting our families.
- 26:51So you're gonna learn a little bit about protecting families as well as you're gonna hear me speak there on the uh square foot gardening, half acre gardening and self-sufficiency.
- 27:01And so come on out.
- 27:03Uh, it's gonna be a good time from 10 to 1 at the Hollow, which is in Venice, just off of South Moon Drive.
- 27:09Thank you so much, and thank you for the hard work that you're doing to help us.
- 27:13We really need a lot of help.
- 27:15Uh, people unfortunately are so ignorant from what they have not learned in school, especially about agriculture.
- 27:22And uh, I certainly appreciate everything that you're doing.
- 27:26So, folks, don't go away.

- 32:47This is Karen Schoen.
- 32:49You are listening to the Prism of America's Education brought to you on the America Outloud.news network.
- 32:56Well, what would an education be if we didn't discuss the things that are important and that are happening today?
- 33:04And most of us, if we're listening to the mainstream media, really have no clue of what is going on in the Middle East.
- 33:12Why President Trump has made this his hot button?
- 33:16Why this is important to we the people in America?
- 33:20What does that have to do with us?
- 33:22It's the Middle East, it's far away.
- 33:25So I have asked an author, a speaker, producer, and publisher, Todd Woods, to join me today and explain what's going on because he was a special operations pilot and he flew missions for SEAL Team 6 and Delta Force.
- 33:45That was quite a transition, Todd.
- 33:47My goodness, from pilot to author, how did that happen?
- 33:53Well, I uh it's a young man's game is a short answer.
- 33:58I didn't really want to do that the rest of my life.
- 34:01I had plenty of excitement and wanted to get out into the civilian world and have a real job, if you will.
- 34:08And uh I uh I went to Wall Street for almost 18 years and traded emerging market debt primarily.
- 34:14And so that was my second career, but uh I enjoyed the cremary I had and and traveled the world and did a lot of cool things.
- 34:21And but you know, you push in 30 and it's just not as scaring yourself every night is just not as fun anymore.
- 34:27So that was the I I hear you.
- 34:31Unfortunately, that is right.
- 34:33So um what I wanted to ask you as the expert, because we're all coming, I think, from the same place, which is we didn't want any more wars, we didn't want to fight anybody, we didn't want to kill anybody.
- 34:47Okay, yes, uh, they're crazy over there, but they're over there.
- 34:52What does over there in the Middle East have to do with America and why did President Trump feel that it was so important to get involved now?
- 35:00Important to get involved now.
- 35:03Well, I don't have all his intelligence, and I was talking to you before this.
- 35:03Well, I don't have all his intelligence, and I was talking to you before this.
- 35:07I was not for this war.
- 35:07I was not for this war.
- 35:09I don't, you know, I have two sons in the military and definitely don't want them involved, if possible.
- 35:09I don't, you know, I have two sons in the military and definitely don't want them involved, if possible.
- 35:15But um I think there is obviously commodity issues or resource issues in the in the in the Middle East.
- 35:15But I think there is obviously commodity issues or resource issues in the in the in the Middle East.
- 35:22Uh, there's historical religious issues.
- 35:22There's historical religious issues.
- 35:24There it literally is the cradle of civilization of all the three Abrahamic religions.
- 35:24There it literally is the cradle of civilization of all the three Abrahamic relationships.
- 35:30And you know, so there's a lot of swirling currents there.
- 35:34I think Trump is made the decision on what he's always said is that he can't allow uh the Iranian regime, which is a an Islamic theocracy to get a get a nuclear capability.
- 35:47So I think that's what's driving him.
- 35:48He said that over and over and over.
- 35:50You know, I don't have all the intelligence he had.
- 35:52I mean, and I will say that now we're it that we're in the war.
- 35:55I will support it for having a good outcome.
- 35:59Uh you know, I don't want an American invasion because I think that would be a disaster, but I want a good outcome for my children and their children for this nation, and uh that's my primary focus right now.
- 36:09Well, I think that from what I was reading uh this morning and listening to that, the Arab nations are joining together to fight Iran, and that surprised me because I never thought they would go against each other, but it seems as though maybe President Trump created the divide of the Arab countries because Iran is bombing their neighbors.
- 36:41Did I read that right?
- 36:43Well, uh, the it there is a you know, everybody's aware of the Shia Sunni that's kind of like the Protestant Catholic split in the Christian world.
- 36:55Um, but there is a split in the Islamic world.
- 36:58It happened centuries ago, and that still exists.
- 37:01The theocracy in charge of Iran, which by the way is a Persian nation, not all Muslim.
- 37:08There's a lot of Christians there, there's a lot of Jews there, and uh a lot of um you know, some Muslims, but also Zoastrians.
- 37:15I mean, it's a multi-ethnic state that is controlled by a Shia Islamic theocracy, which has proxy armies across the Middle East.
- 37:24So the the Sunnis don't want to be threatened by this military you know power in their region, and so they're banding together to oppose it.
- 37:37Uh, they the the Shia theocracy has attacked all of their life blood, which is energy, which is money, which keeps these kingdoms and these families in power, so they're not happy.
- 37:48So, yeah, they're confronting it.
- 37:50That's that's a true thing.
- 37:52So the the prince, from what I read, the the prince who was prince and his family was kicked out of Iran.
- 38:01Um, he's been saying that for the last 30 years that Iran, the Iranian people uh deserve a democracy, and what they have is a theocracy.
- 38:13So what's the difference?
- 38:16Well, it's what Iran is is an oligarchy run by uh Shia fundamentalists, extremists.
- 38:22So that that is uh the situation.
- 38:25The democracy, you know, we don't even have a democracy, we have a republic, but a democracy is people get together and vote on every issue.
- 38:33We have a representative democracy in the US where we vote for a representative and they make the decision, so the power is more distributed, uh, and you don't have the tyranny of the majority, if you will.
- 38:43But in uh, you know, in Iran, I mean, it is a uh a system where the the oligarchy is literally uh for lack of better word, raping the country.
- 38:55I mean, they are harvesting all the mineral wealth, all the water, even there's a huge water crisis because of the mismanagement of the IRCG with the Iranian revolutionary guard corps, which is the oligarchy that runs the country, military force, and uh, you know, I have a lot of experience with the Iranian resistance in country, you know.
- 39:16Pahlavi is, yes, you said the prince uh from the Shah, his son of the Shah, which was the uh the king, if you will, of Iran for a while until he was overthrown.
- 39:25I mean, he was very brutal as well.
- 39:27I'm not sure Pahlavi has very much support in country.
- 39:30He's got an apparatus outside the country, but I'm not sure that he's you know, he's not beloved in country, and then there's been some controversy because he was supporting some of the military attacks on infrastructure, and now he's trying to walk that back.
- 39:44But I just want the Iranian people to decide their future, and I want an outcome where that coincides with what's good for America.
- 39:54So that's kind of my focus.
- 39:57Now, some of the American media ignore the fact that there is an Iranian uprising.
- 40:06There is a anti-force.
- 40:09Um is there?
- 40:10Do you think there is?
- 40:11Because we get conflicting information, and I don't think the American people are hearing the truth.
- 40:17I think they're hearing more IRCG, IRGC propaganda where the Iranians or the National the Guard um is winning.
- 40:31And I'm seeing on conflicting uh stations or coming from the Middle East, that no, they're not winning, they're being blown up.
- 40:43So what's really going on?
- 40:46What is going on is yes, there is a resistance in country.
- 40:49It's been there for decades.
- 40:51It is um very widespread, and um a lot of the youth are involved in it.
- 40:57There are revolutionary uh uh what do they call it, resistance units in country that have been doing things like burning photos of the Ayatollah or lighting uh IRGC offices on fire at night, that kind of stuff.
- 41:12They even attacked the residents of Homani with 250 fighters uh a few weeks before he was killed, and when the war started.
- 41:21So they are active on the ground.
- 41:23Yes, there is a global even media uh I guess information campaign against them.
- 41:31A lot of that is pushed by the Iranian intelligence services, but unfortunately, the Western press and the Western governments, even the US, uh in a bid to appease the Ayatollahs have gone along with it, which hopefully that will change going forward.
- 41:46Well, yeah, President uh Trump has told the Iranian people to stay indoors, it's not ready yet.
- 41:54So I assume that he is going to be taking action.
- 41:57And I also read that NATO is going to get involved.
- 42:00Is going to get involved.
- 42:02Is that true?
- 42:02Is that true?
- 42:03In the war?
- 42:03In the war, well, um the only thing I know of is that Trump has asked them to come down and help uh police the strait and to right now, it's blockaded because uh I mean the the the Iranians have a lot of power in that region, it's a very difficult area.
- 42:04Well, um the only thing I know of is that Trump has asked them to come down and help uh police the strait and to right now it's blockaded because uh I mean the the the Iranians have a lot of power in that region, it's a very difficult area.
- 42:21The terrain is difficult, it would take hundreds of thousands of troops to secure it.
- 42:21The terrain is difficult, it would take hundreds of thousands of troops to secure it.
- 42:26I don't think that's the way forward.
- 42:26I don't think that's the way forward.
- 42:28Um, I I I actually
- 42:28Um I I actually like Trump's idea of just blockading it and forcing the world to help deal with the problem because if you can't get oil to Europe, I read something that their oil runs out in like three weeks.
- 42:39So when you don't have energy, you don't have food, you don't have medicine, you don't have you know electricity to keep people cool in the summer.
- 42:48So it can lead to civil unrest.
- 42:51So you got a situation that's very difficult.
- 42:54And um, the pressure that Trump's putting on Iran, I actually think is why there's so much uh vicious uh vitriol against the president right now and from multiple areas coming in to try to stop him from doing what he's doing.
- 43:07That's my take on what's happening.
- 43:09Right.
- 43:09They also say that he's bombing schools and bombing hospitals.
- 43:14Now, what is that all about?
- 43:15Are we really doing that?
- 43:18Well, there was a school that was hit, 160 girls were killed at the beginning of the war.
- 43:23Um there have been uh medical facilities uh hit.
- 43:29Uh, I don't, you know, I can't believe that that was intentional.
- 43:33There are mistakes in war all the time.
- 43:36So I can't believe, you know, I was in the US military.
- 43:39I can't believe US military officials would do that.
- 43:42I just can't.
- 43:42So I don't think that was intentional on the you know, the from the American military side.
- 43:48I don't uh have you know good information on the intelligence the Israelis had.
- 43:54Um that's you know another issue, but I just can't believe that you know these military officers would do that.
- 44:00So that's my take.
- 44:01Yeah, that I believe that they say that um right now the schools are empty, so they are meeting in the schools, so this way they can say they're bombing the schools, and we're talking about the IRGC, and they are they have built uh shelters and storing weapons underneath the hospitals so that they can say that we're bombing the hospitals, which is typical of what goes on over there because we've been hearing that for a long time.
- 44:32You mentioned Israel, and I noticed that Israel is bombing Lebanon, and people don't realize this has been going on for years.
- 44:41This is not a new thing.
- 44:43Um, so what why would Israel all of a sudden quote all of a sudden turn their sights on Lebanon and start bombing Lemon Lebanon?
- 44:54Well, one of the uh uh proxy armies of the Iranian theocracy is Hezbollah, which is in southern Lebanon.
- 45:01You know, there's there's narrative or information war going on there.
- 45:05They have obviously thrown a lot of rockets into northern Israel.
- 45:09A lot of the families had to move out of the area for up to up to a year, I believe, after the first not first, but recent conflict a year or so ago in southern Lebanon with Hezbollah, where they had the the Pager attacks and all that.
- 45:23The Israelis want a buffer zone.
- 45:25Uh, they want, and that they've been hitting targets all the way up into Beirut.
- 45:30I have been to Beirut many times.
- 45:33I have a lot of connections with the Christian population there, and um uh, you know, I can tell, and I even put this out to kind of counter some of the disinfo.
- 45:43I mean, the the Israelis have not been bombing the Christian targets, as some people have said, they've bombed the Shia areas and some of the mixed areas, Shi and Sunni, which they say Hezbollah commanders were there, or infrastructure.
- 45:56Um, but that's what they want is to clean that out.
- 46:00Um, I would like to see a Christian state in Lebanon.
- 46:03It is a Christian country.
- 46:04The the president is Christian.
- 46:06The population's been demographically challenged due to a lot of immigration by the Muslim parts.
- 46:14So I know a lot about it and highly interested in it, and probably will be going back soon.
- 46:20It's a it is a very interesting area.
- 46:23Now you mentioned blockade.
- 46:25What does that actually mean?
- 46:28Blockade, how or how are they going to do that?
- 46:31And what would that do to the area?
- 46:33They would be um doing what in as a blockade.
- 46:39Well, it would be stopping oil from leaving the Strait of Homoose by the U.S.
- 46:44Navy.
- 46:45So that would mean they have said that the Gulf states, the Sunni nations, they would allow the oil to flow, but Iran is not allowing the oil to flow.
- 46:55So essentially what Trump has done is said there's gonna not gonna be any Iranian oil leaving for uh, you know, Asia, China particularly, or other countries, which will hurt um those countries and it will put pressure on them economically to help Trump clear the strait because the Iranians weren't gonna let the for instance the British oil leave the UAE and go through the British don't have the force structure to try to help keep that open.
- 47:28So Trump says said, okay, none of it's gonna come through.
- 47:31So the Iranians can't get oil money, they can't build their rebuild their military buy weapons from China, etc.
- 47:37So that's what's going on.
- 47:39What wouldn't that help Russia?
- 47:42Well, Russia is getting help in this.
- 47:45I actually think you know, I don't see my opinion is I don't see Russia as the enemy.
- 47:51I see them as possibly uh uh uh not an alliance, but some kind of economic cooperation down the road.
- 47:59Uh, but I think Trump has uh wants the Ukraine war over.
- 48:03I would like to see that sooner than later.
- 48:05I think the Europeans want to keep it going, uh, but I don't think we need to be involved in it.
- 48:10So um uh it will help Russia uh with their income because that more people will be buying Russian oil for sure.
- 48:18Yeah, that's very true.
- 48:20Now the war that's being fought now is a different kind of war.
- 48:25Um mostly drones.
- 48:28So how does that work when the people can build a drone in a garage?
- 48:34You don't need a big factory.
- 48:36Um these can be done, you know, at will, any place.
- 48:40Any place can be a drone factory.
- 48:43So how does that work now if this is a really a technology war?
- 48:50It has completely revolutionized warfare.
- 48:53Uh, it is the battlefield on the front in Donbass is uh just incredibly deadly and incredibly uh lethal uh for anyone in the area due to the drones.
- 49:00Just incredibly deadly and incredibly lethal for anyone in the area due to the drones.
- 49:07Uh and there's different kinds of drones.
- 49:07And there's different kinds of drones.
- 49:08There's a small FPV or first person drones where you see out the front of the camera and you can direct it where you want to go, fly around into a building and find the people and kill them if you want, just fly into them.
- 49:08There's a small FPV or first person drones where you see out the front of the camera and you can direct it where you want to go, fly around into a building and find the people and kill them if you want, just fly into them.
- 49:21Or there's the Shaheed or uh drones, which Iran developed, it's kind of a looks like a dart, and um.
- 49:21Or there's the Shaheed or drones, which Iran developed.
- 49:26It's kind of a looks like a dart and very distinctive sound, and those are cheap and they are effective.
- 49:34They put a big warhead on them and they can fly a long way and target certain areas.
- 49:38Then you have the much bigger, you know, you have underwater sea drones, you have larger drones uh for surveillance and all kind of other things.
- 49:48So it has completely changed warfare for sure.
- 49:50I don't think we realize where this is how this is going to end up and what's going to how we're going to get out of, not get out, but how we're going to see the world after uh these conflicts because it's completely different.
- 50:01We're in a new age now for sure.
- 50:03Oh, yeah, we certainly are.
- 50:05And um, I really want to thank you for all of your knowledge and sharing this information with us.
- 50:12Now tell us about the other side of Todd Wood and about your publications, and you have a radio show as well.
- 50:22And uh I've been on your website, it's fantastic.
- 50:25So please share that.
- 50:26Thank you.
- 50:28Okay, yeah.
- 50:28So I started in 20, really 2019.
- 50:32Um I had, well, before that, I had started Russian at the Air Force Academy.
- 50:36I traded a lot of emerging market debt.
- 50:38I had a lot of contacts in Eastern Europe.
- 50:40So we started covering that area in 2015 after I left Wall Street, and then I uh at the Washington Times asked me to work for him.
- 50:49So I wrote for them for a while, but then I just decided I needed to start my own company.
- 50:53So we started reporting on Eastern Europe in the Middle East and elsewhere, and then they moved into more of a global company.
- 51:00We have 13 websites now, seven uh papers inside the US and different states, military, Hispanic, still a big overseas president.
- 51:10So we're uh a war service without the globalist spin, I call it.
- 51:14And we just try to bring as much good information and truth to people so they can not be propagandized and understand what's happening and try to bring insight.
- 51:23So cdm.press is the main side, and uh, you can see on the menu there all the different sites at the top.
- 51:28Uh, and but it all feeds into there if it's more international or national focused.
- 51:34If it's small local, you know, something going on in Florida, like in the Miami independent, it'll stay there.
- 51:38But we are global and uh we're trying to grow bigger as we speak.
- 51:43And folks, it is so important that you look at alternative news because the majority of the truth, that's where it comes from.
- 51:53The mainstream media has a different motivation, and their motivation we all know is hate Trump, hate America, whatever.
- 52:01And you're not gonna get the full story, you're not gonna certainly not gonna get the truth.
- 52:07You're gonna get propaganda of what they want you to hear, which is uh Iran is winning.
- 52:13Uh, no, they're not.
- 52:15And nobody we know right now, we have no idea what's going on until until the end.
- 52:21And hopefully uh we should be supporting Trump because Trump is right now the president of America.
- 52:29And if we want to support our country, then we have to support the president, whether we like him or not.
- 52:35This is a different phase.
- 52:36This is a war.
- 52:38This is something that he believed should have been taken care of a long time ago, and it would not have come to this phase.
- 52:46And because it has, uh, we are still part of it.
- 52:50We're part of the world and we're a global power.
- 52:53The only thing that I don't like, of course, is that our oil prices are now being dictated by the oil prices from overseas, which is never a good thing.
- 53:05We should be working on our own.
- 53:07Todd, I want to thank you so much uh for joining me and and giving us your insight.
- 53:13It is it is always wonderful to hear from an expert, and I appreciate it.
- 53:18Appreciate your newspaper.
- 53:20I have been privileged to write some articles for the Miami Independent folks.
- 53:25Great paper, especially if you're in Florida.
- 53:28So thank you so much.
- 53:30And uh, do you have some parting words for our listeners of what they can do to help support America?
- 53:39Uh I would get involved in your local politics.
- 53:42It's it's it's not hopeless.
- 53:44Uh, that's the way we change this.
- 53:46And uh make sure you put cdm.press in your scan a few times a day, it would be very helpful.
- 53:51Thank you very much, Karen.
- 53:53My pleasure.
- 53:54Thank you.
- 53:55Okay, folks, this is Karen Schoen, and you have been listening to the Prism of America's Education brought to you on the America Outloud.news network.
- 54:06And I will see you next week.
- 54:08But remember, you have homework, vet your candidates, vote in the primary.
- 54:15And if in Florida you are an independent, you have to become a Democrat or a Republican, hopefully a Republican, even though you may not like who the candidates are.
- 54:26They we know what the Democrats will bring, like the dignity act of which my representative, Neil Dunn Nothing, because that's what he has done, and his parting gift to America and his constituents is we'll screw you with the dignity act and give 10 million illegals the right to citizenship.
- 54:53So I will ask again, why do we want 10 million illegals coming here taking jobs that are going to be depleted anyway?
- 55:03What's wrong with this picture?
- 55:05That's up to us, folks.
- 55:07We are the ones that can straighten this out.
- 55:10We are the only ones.
- 55:12And if you don't do something, nobody else will.
- 55:17There isn't anybody else that's gonna be coming to help us in our communities.
- 55:21It's up to us, as Todd said.
- 55:23Your job for this week would be to please call your representative and tell them no dignity in the dignity act.
- 55:33Where is the dignity for the American worker?
- 55:36It is time that we stop with this nonsense of bringing people into America for the jobs that are disappearing.
- 55:46It's not right.
- 55:47Our systems are overloaded and riddled with fraud.
- 55:51If you want to do something, get rid of the fraud.
- 55:54It's time that these people go to jail.
- 55:57It's time that these people are accountable for the horrific position that they put us in.
- 56:00Accountable for the horrific position that they put us in.
- 56:03That would be for your representatives.
- 56:03That would be for your representatives.
- 56:06And when you're done with them, pick up the phone and call your senator and tell your senator it is time to pass the Save America Act and stop playing around and placating your donors.
- 56:06And when you're done with them, pick up the phone and call your senator and tell your senator.
- 56:12It is time to pass the Save America Act and stop playing around and placating your donors.
- 56:21Have a wonderful week, folks, and I will see you next week.
- 56:21Have a wonderful week, folks, and I will see you next week.
- 56:25So thank you so much, Todd.
- 56:25So thank you so much, Todd.
- 56:27I appreciate all of your insight.
- 56:27I appreciate all of your insight and let's see that America is the winner.
- 56:35I'm America, don't try on me.
- 56:39I'm America.
