- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's almost famous podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 3: We are here today to break down the headlines happening
- 0:09Speaker 3: in Bachelor Nation. And there are some big ones, big ones.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Big ones. There's a huge one that was a huge one.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Let's kick it off with what I believe is the biggest. Actually,
- 0:21Speaker 3: I want to preface this was saying there is so
- 0:24Speaker 3: much I want to say on this issue, so much
- 0:28Speaker 3: that originally because I think of the confusion, the severity.
- 0:33Speaker 1: The.
- 0:35Speaker 3: How radically weird it was, I honestly didn't know how
- 0:40Speaker 3: to even like review it or analyze it here when
- 0:45Speaker 3: this first happened years ago, I think I never did.
- 0:51Speaker 3: I didn't do a good job personally of giving Clayton
- 0:54Speaker 3: Ecker the benefit of the doubt because I was like this,
- 0:56Speaker 3: there's no way this isn't true. This is so crazy,
- 0:59Speaker 3: there's no way something this crazy is happening.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Too crazy that you couldn't script it right.
- 1:05Speaker 3: You couldn't script it. And so now as we come
- 1:08Speaker 3: to a conclusion on the matter, there is still so
- 1:11Speaker 3: much I want to say in support of Clayton, but
- 1:14Speaker 3: also questions I want to raise and ask about this
- 1:18Speaker 3: situation because it still feels so crazy to me that
- 1:21Speaker 3: this is true.
- 1:23Speaker 5: So let's let's yeah, get let's get into it, and
- 1:25Speaker 5: then we're gonna have to have you explain what kind
- 1:28Speaker 5: of questions are.
- 1:29Speaker 3: I don't think I could even say him, because I
- 1:30Speaker 3: feel like I could give myself into trouble saying him.
- 1:32Speaker 2: That's why I'm sitting here. Come, I don't know. Here
- 1:35Speaker 2: we go. Here's the headline. I'm gonna read a word
- 1:37Speaker 2: for a word.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Con artist Laura Owens charge with seven felonies for lying
- 1:45Speaker 3: about pregnancy with Clayton Eckerd. This is according to the
- 1:51Speaker 3: San Francisco Chronicle. Now listen to this con artist Laura Owens,
- 1:56Speaker 3: who's the daughter of radio legend Ron Owens, is charge
- 2:01Speaker 3: with seven felonies for lying about pregnancy with Clayton Eckerd.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Ashley. Please take it away before I get myself into trouble.
- 2:11Speaker 4: So I want to spread hearst here.
- 2:14Speaker 5: I read somewhere that she made up seven pregnancies. But
- 2:19Speaker 5: this is about Clayton's case. This is this this week,
- 2:22Speaker 5: this big headline was that Clayton is off, you know,
- 2:26Speaker 5: like that it's been proven by the court that she
- 2:30Speaker 5: was lying about the twin pregnancy that she said that
- 2:32Speaker 5: she had with Clayton, even though Clayton said that that
- 2:37Speaker 5: would have been impossible as they never had intercourse. There
- 2:42Speaker 5: was some oral stuff going on during their hook up,
- 2:45Speaker 5: but there was no intercourse. But she said that she
- 2:48Speaker 5: was pregnant with twins if you guys don't remember the story,
- 2:52Speaker 5: and that she later misscarried. But she was like asking
- 2:56Speaker 5: for she was asking for the what's it called? Like,
- 3:02Speaker 5: oh my god, how am I blanking on this? The
- 3:04Speaker 5: parental support, child support and stuff from him? This week
- 3:10Speaker 5: it came out the court ruled that she is a
- 3:13Speaker 5: big fat.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Liar, right, Okay, So we'll pause there to ask my
- 3:16Speaker 3: first question.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I know it is okay to ask.
- 3:20Speaker 3: At what point don't you have to have kids? Like
- 3:22Speaker 3: she would have had to have the children to then
- 3:25Speaker 3: get parental support?
- 3:26Speaker 2: Right? So yeah, how did.
- 3:28Speaker 3: She think this was going to play out? The confusing
- 3:30Speaker 3: part to me again, I'm going to filter my questions.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I know a lot of you out there going this
- 3:35Speaker 3: is crazy. How did this even happen? And your your
- 3:38Speaker 3: questions are valid. I just don't want to say in
- 3:40Speaker 3: publicly because there is a you know, I guess the
- 3:42Speaker 3: court case is over, but there is a conclusion now
- 3:45Speaker 3: and hopefully everybody can move on. But my first thought is,
- 3:49Speaker 3: how did she think this was going to end? Like,
- 3:52Speaker 3: how did was this going to play out to where
- 3:53Speaker 3: she won this case? Because you're in the court, they
- 3:57Speaker 3: don't just say, hey, we'll take your word for it.
- 3:59Speaker 2: They investigate, are you pregnant? Are you not?
- 4:02Speaker 3: Is it Clayton's child? Is it not Clayton's child? Is
- 4:04Speaker 3: it Clayton's twins? Is it not Clayton's twins? Do these
- 4:07Speaker 3: twins even exist? These are the questions that would have
- 4:11Speaker 3: been asked, and at some point you would have had
- 4:13Speaker 3: to prove that all of this is true. Now, I
- 4:17Speaker 3: didn't hear seven. I heard three other cases.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Okay, well this was supposed to be twins. So maybe
- 4:23Speaker 5: she was always saying it's twins.
- 4:25Speaker 3: It's this is And so I think now's the appropriate
- 4:30Speaker 3: time because I'll be honest about me personally and about
- 4:36Speaker 3: Bachelor Nation in general. I think due to some very
- 4:43Speaker 3: wild circumstances that we just talked to Clayton about. You
- 4:45Speaker 3: can go back and listen to it in his life
- 4:47Speaker 3: right coming off the show and during the show, he
- 4:51Speaker 3: did get you know he was, as Nick Files said,
- 4:54Speaker 3: the human punching bag.
- 4:55Speaker 2: He got hit on.
- 4:56Speaker 3: All sides, and it felt like this was a very
- 4:59Speaker 3: chaotic season for him him and I did not give
- 5:02Speaker 3: him the benefit of the doubt. I don't think Bachelor
- 5:04Speaker 3: Nation came in wild support of him, because I do
- 5:06Speaker 3: think this was one of those situations to give the
- 5:09Speaker 3: excuse here where it was so ridiculously outrageously crazy that
- 5:13Speaker 3: we're like, there's no way this has no threat of
- 5:15Speaker 3: truth to it, because what human would make up these
- 5:18Speaker 3: lies and take it to court knowing that an investigation
- 5:22Speaker 3: would pursue and still sticking by the story that yes,
- 5:27Speaker 3: I am pregnant with twins, so that's and so I
- 5:29Speaker 3: think at least me personally said there's no way this
- 5:32Speaker 3: isn't true. So I'll take this time yeah to say
- 5:36Speaker 3: I am sorry, Clayton.
- 5:37Speaker 2: I am sorry to I am very.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Sorry because I did jump to conclusions based on the circumstances,
- 5:46Speaker 3: and again, one of many times in my life, I
- 5:51Speaker 3: was wrong on what I thought happened, and then it
- 5:55Speaker 3: happened from an outside perspective with somebody with limited knowledge
- 5:58Speaker 3: who probably shouldn't have shared an opinion in j or
- 6:00Speaker 3: all on this, but that's kind of my job here,
- 6:02Speaker 3: is to read the headlines and share an opinion. And
- 6:04Speaker 3: again I think, as I look back, I shared the
- 6:07Speaker 3: opinion I did because this seems so crazy, and now
- 6:13Speaker 3: that it has proven to be this crazy, in this
- 6:15Speaker 3: outlandish and this wild, and this is something you couldn't
- 6:18Speaker 3: script that he'll probably make millions upon millions of dollars
- 6:21Speaker 3: some because somebody's going to pick this up for entertainment.
- 6:23Speaker 5: This is a lifetime story, a lifetime original movie.
- 6:27Speaker 3: And he should make millions on it. I was wrong,
- 6:31Speaker 3: and I am sorry, and I want to come public
- 6:35Speaker 3: and say that because I was not one of those
- 6:37Speaker 3: that stood by his side since the beginning, and now
- 6:40Speaker 3: I want to share that I feel. I feel bad
- 6:44Speaker 3: about it, and I'm also still in shock that this
- 6:46Speaker 3: situation ever happened.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Okay, but Ben, you are making yourself sound way worse
- 6:50Speaker 5: than it was. Like we've believed him for quite some
- 6:53Speaker 5: time now, and even when we were skeptical, we were skeptical,
- 6:58Speaker 5: We were never in full belief.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Of this stuff.
- 7:00Speaker 5: We were STiMi thought that there was maybe some truth
- 7:05Speaker 5: to it.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Had to be some truth to it. This can't be
- 7:07Speaker 3: that crazy without having true to it.
- 7:09Speaker 5: I think like you and I were like, but was
- 7:12Speaker 5: it really just I mean, sorry, sorry, I know this
- 7:14Speaker 5: is trying to be a PG program usually, but like,
- 7:17Speaker 5: was was it really just oral?
- 7:20Speaker 4: She's going to pretend that she got pregnant on oral?
- 7:23Speaker 2: That was some of the questions we asked.
- 7:25Speaker 3: And I thought at the time we were going down
- 7:27Speaker 3: a path that was helping this thing make sense. And yes,
- 7:30Speaker 3: I would say I was more skeptical. I was never
- 7:32Speaker 3: sitting here with you privately or publicly being like there, Clayton, gosh,
- 7:36Speaker 3: this is he's so messed over here?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Why would he do this?
- 7:39Speaker 3: No, we were like what more skeptical, But I think
- 7:43Speaker 3: our skepticism came off of wanting to believe her, for one,
- 7:49Speaker 3: because who would take this to court unless there was
- 7:51Speaker 3: some truth to it? And it wasn't true? And so
- 7:56Speaker 3: I would say this is one of the wildest stories
- 7:58Speaker 3: to ever happen on the headline for the almost famous podcast.
- 8:02Speaker 3: In the last nine and a half years of doing this,
- 8:04Speaker 3: this has to go down as like one of the
- 8:07Speaker 3: craziest headlines.
- 8:09Speaker 5: I agree, it probably is the longest lasting crazy headline
- 8:13Speaker 5: we've had.
- 8:24Speaker 3: All right, next headline is this F one fans slam
- 8:29Speaker 3: Bachelor star for flashing drivers at race. This is how
- 8:33Speaker 3: you cause Arek is the quote that I'm going to say.
- 8:37Speaker 2: That's come for me. It's going to wreck.
- 8:41Speaker 3: You flash somebody going about two hundred miles an hour.
- 8:45Speaker 5: You're right, that's extremely dangerous. That's not a laughing matter.
- 8:49Speaker 2: No, it's crazy anybody. Yeah, goodness, please don't do that
- 8:53Speaker 2: to me.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Ever, this headline is so overdone. When I read it,
- 8:57Speaker 5: just as they intended when they wrote it, I was like,
- 9:01Speaker 5: how disgusting, Maria. That's awful. There are children there. That
- 9:06Speaker 5: is extremely distracting. It's just kind of piggy, right, Well,
- 9:12Speaker 5: it really wasn't that bad. When I went to go
- 9:14Speaker 5: watch the TikTok, uh the she does, I don't think,
- 9:17Speaker 5: she says in the comments in response to people saying
- 9:20Speaker 5: this is gross, she said, I didn't actually do it,
- 9:24Speaker 5: And when you watch the TikTok you can tell she
- 9:26Speaker 5: didn't actually do it.
- 9:27Speaker 4: It was just like a montage of them showing like
- 9:30Speaker 4: how crazy they were at the F one.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Race.
- 9:36Speaker 4: It was like not a big deal.
- 9:37Speaker 2: So she didn't really flash him as what we're.
- 9:38Speaker 5: Saying, I don't think, so, I mean based on like
- 9:40Speaker 5: the view that I see on TikTok No. Also, she
- 9:43Speaker 5: says in the comments, she didn't so I kind of
- 9:46Speaker 5: believe her.
- 9:47Speaker 4: I believe her on this one.
- 9:48Speaker 2: All right, fair enough, here we go.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Next headline is this The Bachelor's Madison pruit Trout. Madison
- 9:54Speaker 3: Preuit Trout has a new book coming The cover is
- 9:58Speaker 3: now released. It's all Dare to Be True.
- 10:02Speaker 4: I'm looking. I think the article says that she's had
- 10:05Speaker 4: two books.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Come out, and I'm like, this is her second, but
- 10:07Speaker 5: I'm like, no, this is their third, her third, It
- 10:09Speaker 5: is her third. Okay, yeah, Mattie has her third book
- 10:13Speaker 5: coming out.
- 10:13Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 10:14Speaker 5: She's only twenty eight years old. I feel like Maddie
- 10:18Speaker 5: is so beyond her years. She had made for this moment,
- 10:21Speaker 5: come out in twenty twenty one, The Love Everybody Wants
- 10:24Speaker 5: in twenty twenty three, and this year she will have
- 10:28Speaker 5: Dare to Be True come out. People had the exclusive
- 10:32Speaker 5: first look on it, and she says that she knows
- 10:36Speaker 5: how it feels to be stuck, bound by bound by lies,
- 10:40Speaker 5: burdened by past mistakes and shame, confused by the noise
- 10:43Speaker 5: in the world around me. Before I wrote my first book.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Before even The Bachelor, I chased a version of myself
- 10:49Speaker 5: that I believed would lead to a happier, freear me. Instead,
- 10:52Speaker 5: it led me into deeper confusion. So that's why she
- 10:56Speaker 5: wanted to write the book. She wrote it for the
- 10:58Speaker 5: woman who was tired of proteid performing, who is exhausted
- 11:03Speaker 5: at trying to be someone that she's not.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Whoa sounds like every Bachelor contestant, male and female. We
- 11:11Speaker 3: could all read that and benefit from it, can Yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 3: Speaking of books, Golden Bachelor lum Gary Turner has a
- 11:19Speaker 3: juicy wow. It's always good when they add that in.
- 11:22Speaker 3: There a juicy new book coming. The cover was also released.
- 11:26Speaker 3: It's called Golden Years.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't know.
- 11:29Speaker 3: This subtitle is what I've learned from love, loss and
- 11:33Speaker 3: reality television.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Who the heck doesn't have a book? Gary is going
- 11:38Speaker 5: to be yeah, you're right me. He is going to
- 11:43Speaker 5: chronicle the grief of his wife Tony's death death in
- 11:48Speaker 5: this book, and then he's going to of course talk
- 11:51Speaker 5: about his unbelievable experiences on The Golden Bachelor and the
- 11:55Speaker 5: life lessons that he took away from both. So it's
- 11:57Speaker 5: not just a tell all about what happened behind the scenes,
- 12:01Speaker 5: but also a book for those who are dealing with grief.
- 12:05Speaker 3: We're excited for Gary and Maddie. It is always a
- 12:09Speaker 3: big a constument to come out with a book.
- 12:11Speaker 2: It takes a lot of work, a lot of time,
- 12:12Speaker 2: a lot of effort, a lot of what.
- 12:14Speaker 4: I don't have a book. It's too much focus.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Ben, I would love to hear it.
- 12:19Speaker 4: I would love to, but.
- 12:20Speaker 5: You know, I get so overwhelmed because I just I
- 12:23Speaker 5: love to write with a voice. Give me two pages,
- 12:26Speaker 5: be great. I could probably write a column, but I
- 12:29Speaker 5: could never just I could never sit there and be like,
- 12:32Speaker 5: now you have to fill two hundred pages, Ugh, Astley.
- 12:36Speaker 3: I can't wait till the day you come out with one.
- 12:38Speaker 3: It's gonna be amazing.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Here's a wild headline.
- 12:41Speaker 3: I know nothing about this guy, but the subtitle to
- 12:45Speaker 3: this headline is she found a way to downgrade you
- 12:49Speaker 3: hate to see It is the quote and the subtitle
- 12:52Speaker 3: the headline is this are Rachel Kirconnell and Zane Hijazzi date.
- 13:00Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 13:01Speaker 5: Who Zaaneazzi is. He is a social media star, though,
- 13:09Speaker 5: so do I have to look him up? These are
- 13:10Speaker 5: like breaking news headlines.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Guys.
- 13:13Speaker 5: They were just sharing things. Like, neither has posted anything
- 13:16Speaker 5: that confirms their dating. But Zayan did share something on
- 13:19Speaker 5: May six. It was a photo on his instat story
- 13:22Speaker 5: showing his legs and a woman's legs intertwined while sitting in.
- 13:27Speaker 4: The backseat of a car.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Then the two swapped one of their shoes, his her swap, okay.
- 13:34Speaker 4: And then people have decided to go full.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Detective mode and like pieced together the outfits and the
- 13:42Speaker 5: shoes that Rachel was wearing and that he was wearing
- 13:46Speaker 5: in other incest stories on a trip to South Carolina.
- 13:49Speaker 4: For a friend's wedding. That's what we got. That's that's
- 13:53Speaker 4: all we got.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I don't know nothing. You know nothing about this guy.
- 13:56Speaker 4: So let me look at this guy.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Now take a second.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Oh good, Oh okay, So he has two point eight
- 14:04Speaker 5: million followers.
- 14:05Speaker 2: So he has to be legitimate.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Legitimate as in, like he's a known figure.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Yes, no, Like he has to be the best dude
- 14:12Speaker 2: ever because he has.
- 14:16Speaker 5: You have your own opinion on mail influencers. I know,
- 14:20Speaker 5: and he is a straight up male influencer.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Yeah cool.
- 14:24Speaker 4: I don't know what he's known for, like what his
- 14:26Speaker 4: shtick is.
- 14:27Speaker 5: He does have a podcast called Unfiltered.
- 14:31Speaker 4: His face is very familiar.
- 14:33Speaker 5: To me, but I don't know much about him, and
- 14:36Speaker 5: I'm sorry if this shows my mi millennial.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it shows your age definitely. All right.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Well, doesn't feel like people are thrilled on the dating relationship,
- 14:49Speaker 3: and people also aren't thrilled with ari Lyendyke Junior right now.
- 14:54Speaker 3: He talks about being roasted for breaking up with Becca
- 14:58Speaker 3: Koufrin for Lauren and then recently he showed it looks
- 15:03Speaker 3: like the People magazine cover that says the Bachelor betrayal.
- 15:09Speaker 4: It's really he is not.
- 15:10Speaker 5: He's looking back on Becca and saying, Wow, what a
- 15:16Speaker 5: time we had. And he does look back on the
- 15:19Speaker 5: People magazine cover and says, I remember hating the photos
- 15:23Speaker 5: they chose. I think he didn't like the photos that
- 15:25Speaker 5: they chose, because I might be rotting into this quote,
- 15:30Speaker 5: but I feel like he was like, oh, they're just like,
- 15:32Speaker 5: it's not supposed to make us look like the joyful,
- 15:34Speaker 5: happy couple, because we're supposed to sort of look like villains,
- 15:38Speaker 5: So they kind of chose crappy pictures of us. And
- 15:41Speaker 5: I'm looking at the picture and I'm like, you know what,
- 15:44Speaker 5: it's not the best picture of you guys, he does.
- 15:46Speaker 5: It does feel like a lifetime ago. But look at
- 15:49Speaker 5: us now, we have our fourth kid on the way.
- 15:53Speaker 5: He said, he knew that we were gonna be roasted,
- 15:56Speaker 5: and but we knew what we had and I couldn't
- 15:59Speaker 5: have made it through with it outer.
- 16:01Speaker 4: And here we are. It's just like seven years later,
- 16:03Speaker 4: like it's.
- 16:05Speaker 5: More of a it's more of the their low, their low,
- 16:09Speaker 5: as the young kids would say.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I think that went down in a
- 16:15Speaker 3: very It wasn't supported by Bachelor Nation, is what I
- 16:20Speaker 3: should say.
- 16:21Speaker 2: And now they're very supported by Bachelor Nation.
- 16:23Speaker 3: They definitely turned the corner there. Speaking of support for
- 16:36Speaker 3: Bachelor Nation, unseen audition tapes are finally dropping. Here's where
- 16:43Speaker 3: and when to watch this. According to the Bachelor Nation,
- 16:46Speaker 3: it's always been something that I think.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Would be a good idea.
- 16:48Speaker 3: They're hilarious, they're wacky, they're weird, and it helps us
- 16:51Speaker 3: get to know the people even better. I wish they
- 16:53Speaker 3: would be shown like on a portal as each cast
- 16:56Speaker 3: member is announced, so that we could watch them then,
- 16:59Speaker 3: so we'd be like, oh, this makes you make more
- 17:02Speaker 3: sense to us.
- 17:03Speaker 2: But they're dropping Ashley to us more.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Okay, So Bachelor Nation is kind of like the overarching
- 17:10Speaker 5: account website Instagram blahlah blah that like shows extra content
- 17:17Speaker 5: and Bachelor News. Somebody is new is running it over there,
- 17:21Speaker 5: and people are catching on. I think there's somebody new
- 17:24Speaker 5: running it because there are some good ideas that are
- 17:26Speaker 5: popping up and people are making comments in the comment
- 17:29Speaker 5: section saying like, wow, you guys are really like spruce
- 17:33Speaker 5: it up over here, like way to go for the
- 17:34Speaker 5: new admin. They're doing this, and they're doing this LTK thing.
- 17:38Speaker 5: To talk about that on another date, but right now,
- 17:41Speaker 5: they are releasing the audition tapes that nobody's ever seen,
- 17:45Speaker 5: starting on May fourteenth on their YouTube series. It's gonna
- 17:49Speaker 5: be a new YouTube series. It's called The Bachelor Audition Tapes.
- 17:52Speaker 5: They have them from Joey Hannah. They're gonna be starting
- 17:55Speaker 5: with Joey's Hannah, Gabby. They have Charity And I texted
- 18:01Speaker 5: Ben last night. I was like, man, they really like
- 18:03Speaker 5: they've they've really forgotten our generation. It's all good. I mean, like,
- 18:07Speaker 5: you know, I like to should be in show love
- 18:08Speaker 5: a little bit. You know, it was success stor It's fun.
- 18:11Speaker 5: I feel a little left out. Because my audition tape
- 18:13Speaker 5: was quite something. It was insane, and they were like,
- 18:16Speaker 5: this girl's insane, let's get her on the show. But
- 18:19Speaker 5: I said that back in our day, nothing was digital.
- 18:22Speaker 5: I sent in mine on a flash drive in a
- 18:25Speaker 5: FedEx envelope, so I don't know that they have those
- 18:28Speaker 5: just sitting on a desk. They probably had some digital
- 18:31Speaker 5: dropbox for these fresh new youngins.
- 18:33Speaker 4: What about you.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I mean, I didn't think of it that way.
- 18:36Speaker 3: I was like, oh, this is weird that all these
- 18:37Speaker 3: things are being announced and you know, I don't know
- 18:40Speaker 3: anything about it, and that's fine. I think we've come
- 18:43Speaker 3: to terms with that. But I didn't think, oh, I
- 18:45Speaker 3: wish mine would be shown because mine was so ridiculously
- 18:48Speaker 3: bad and I put zero effort into it. Yours is
- 18:51Speaker 3: great and actually really fun to watch. I sat on
- 18:53Speaker 3: the deck and like at a lunch break, and answered
- 18:58Speaker 3: questions that my bot, like one of the my bosses
- 19:01Speaker 3: was asking me. And there was even like somebody in
- 19:03Speaker 3: the background like sitting chilling too, and I had like
- 19:06Speaker 3: my white tube socks on. I remember that, So I
- 19:09Speaker 3: don't really care. I don't think it was that interesting,
- 19:11Speaker 3: but I think this is a good idea, and I
- 19:13Speaker 3: do wish they would show yours. I bet they do
- 19:15Speaker 3: end up showing yours, mostly.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Because they're gonna rip it from my Instagram.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Yeah, because yours is so good. It is iconic, Like
- 19:24Speaker 3: yours is so.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Good, you're very sweet.
- 19:27Speaker 5: It's iconic. But it never really been seen. No, I
- 19:29Speaker 5: did post it on Instagram five years ago, and yesterday
- 19:32Speaker 5: at our almost famous text jut Chain, I went and
- 19:36Speaker 5: I scrolled scrolled gold back and I copied and paste
- 19:39Speaker 5: the link so everybody could see it. I'm reading comments
- 19:41Speaker 5: from our producers right now. They want me to introduce
- 19:45Speaker 5: a clip so they can use the audio right here
- 19:48Speaker 5: in the podcast. So, guys, this was me getting out
- 19:51Speaker 5: of the limo, hoping that the Bachelor was going to
- 19:54Speaker 5: be Jeff Home.
- 19:55Speaker 4: It was actually my sister with a plate on her face.
- 19:59Speaker 5: I talk about really cringey stuff about how I'm a virgin,
- 20:02Speaker 5: and because I knew that was gonna get their ears
- 20:05Speaker 5: price still, I went through a whole series, like a
- 20:13Speaker 5: whole season in three minutes.
- 20:15Speaker 4: So and here cute Amadia.
- 20:17Speaker 6: Ooh, here I'm Ashley Conneddi. I'm twenty five, I go
- 20:21Speaker 6: to Syracuse University. I'm about to graduate in August with
- 20:24Speaker 6: my masters in broadcasting.
- 20:27Speaker 3: I love football, food.
- 20:29Speaker 6: Cooking, pop music, especially boy bands, and I can't wait
- 20:34Speaker 6: to know more about you.
- 20:35Speaker 5: I'll see you inside. I love everything about pop culture.
- 20:39Speaker 6: I love storytelling, and I know this is not something
- 20:41Speaker 6: that you're supposed to be on a first date, but
- 20:43Speaker 6: I'm such a pisces, so I'm optimistic and so dreamy
- 20:48Speaker 6: and hopeless romantic almost to a fault. I feel like
- 20:52Speaker 6: that's the reason why I'm not that much of an
- 20:54Speaker 6: experienced dater, because there's no romance in today's society. Guys
- 20:58Speaker 6: are always like do you want to hang out? Instead
- 21:00Speaker 6: of do you want to go out with me? And
- 21:03Speaker 6: I just feel like I should be treated like a princess.
- 21:05Speaker 6: I know it's cliche, but I just really want that
- 21:08Speaker 6: fairytale romance. I'm so excited that you're here in my hometown.
- 21:12Speaker 6: This is great Falls Park. I usually like coming here and.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Getting a whole bunch of food and just sitting by
- 21:17Speaker 5: the water.
- 21:18Speaker 4: I think that's the perfect date.
- 21:21Speaker 6: Well. As much as I'd love to spend the night
- 21:23Speaker 6: with you without cameras, I have to tell you something
- 21:26Speaker 6: and I don't tell many people this. I'm a virgin Ashally,
- 21:32Speaker 6: please accept this Rose. Yes, I'm a pretty good writer,
- 21:35Speaker 6: but I'm having a hard time writing the story of
- 21:38Speaker 6: my own romance ABC.
- 21:40Speaker 5: I'm hoping you'll help me write the first chapter. And
- 21:43Speaker 5: then I have another producer of ours saying did you
- 21:45Speaker 5: hire a videographer? Well, actually, I was in my capstone
- 21:49Speaker 5: at grad school at this point, so that was like
- 21:51Speaker 5: our internship month and a half, and I was a
- 21:55Speaker 5: sports concentration, so I didn't have my DC capstone the
- 21:59Speaker 5: way that the hard news kids had. But my good
- 22:02Speaker 5: friends were in DC, and you know, my parents' houses
- 22:04Speaker 5: a half an hour from and we had access to
- 22:07Speaker 5: all our school's camera equipment. So one day she came
- 22:11Speaker 5: over with the with a nice big camera, a huge tripod,
- 22:15Speaker 5: a couple love mics, and we did the damn thing.
- 22:18Speaker 4: As becka Couperin would say.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yours is great, it's worth watching. It's you know,
- 22:27Speaker 3: this is a great project. I really think this needs
- 22:30Speaker 3: to become a thing before every season starts, so we
- 22:32Speaker 3: get to know people better. Hey, that's all the headlines
- 22:35Speaker 3: we have for you today. Some big ones out there,
- 22:37Speaker 3: some ones that I was wrong in my skepticism on again,
- 22:42Speaker 3: I want to apologize for that, but we'll continue to
- 22:45Speaker 3: bring you headlines the good, the bad, the ugly, the tough,
- 22:47Speaker 3: the difficult, the weird, the chaotic, because that's what Bachelor
- 22:50Speaker 3: Nation does. So until next time, I've been Ben, I've
- 22:54Speaker 3: Been Ashley.
- 22:55Speaker 4: See you guys.
