- 0:23let's start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey everybody good. Morning from the chicken coop
- 0:30today. I have a statement for you.
- 0:33Don't die before you're dead. That's very cryptic, right?
- 0:38You have to like, think about it for a second.
- 0:39Don't die before. You're dead.
- 0:41So what? I mean by that is very specific.
- 0:44It's. Very easy to just become so
- 0:48sedated with everyday. Life that you lose your
- 0:53compelling nature to dive in, you lose your interest, you lose
- 0:57your curiosity, you let things go and you.
- 1:00Slowly wither. Away and die very much like a
- 1:03flower that's, you know, passing.
- 1:06You just watch it and it looks, you know, and it's beautiful and
- 1:09it blooms and then all of a sudden it starts to die back,
- 1:11but it doesn't die right away. If you.
- 1:13Haven't cut it and it's just out in the farm.
- 1:15I can watch it and it just kind of.
- 1:18Withers away slowly, and that's what.
- 1:21I'm talking about don't die before you're dead and don't
- 1:26give up. Don't.
- 1:27Don't change your mind about your intentions.
- 1:31It's so easy for. Us to get wrapped up in the, you
- 1:35know, the chaos. Of everything around.
- 1:37Us that we don't realize that we're just withering.
- 1:42And essentially, the part of us that makes us, us.
- 1:46That is so important, our uniqueness.
- 1:48Our creativity, our. Compelling nature starts to die
- 1:52off. And before you know it, you
- 1:53don't even realize it. Now, I watched my mother go
- 1:56through this. And when she retired, one of my
- 1:59biggest concerns was saying to her, you know, what are you
- 2:02going to do? And she's like, well, whatever I
- 2:04want. And I said, yes, I understand
- 2:05that, but what are you going to do?
- 2:07Like, you really need a compelling thing to keep you
- 2:10alive. You need something compelling.
- 2:12And she just, she would just sit there and say, oh, I don't know,
- 2:16I'm going to, I'm going to volunteer.
- 2:18And she had this whole list of things, but none of them were
- 2:21things she had ever done before. So I was kind of like
- 2:25ambivalent. I was like excited that she
- 2:26could be doing something different, but I was also
- 2:28nervous that she was doing something so different that it
- 2:31wasn't going to be in her nature to follow through.
- 2:33Well sure enough none of those things happened and I would push
- 2:38her to try different things and no she didn't want to do it.
- 2:41I would ask her to go on things. She went on 2 trips from the
- 2:45time that my dad had passed away until she passed away.
- 2:49She didn't travel. She always said she wanted to go
- 2:51out off and see things. Nope she didn't.
- 2:53She went on one trip with her friend and she went on one trip
- 2:57with me and that was. It.
- 3:01She just lost her, her vigor to do things, and she died before
- 3:07she was dead. And it's such a harsh way to say
- 3:10it, but it is the best way to impart the wisdom of it in
- 3:15yourself is to think about it that way when you, when you
- 3:18start to like, give up the nature that you were meant to
- 3:22do. And as human beings, we are
- 3:24meant to expand. We're meant to do things in a
- 3:27way that allows us to keep growing like we are meant to
- 3:32grow. So if I look at the flower
- 3:34situation and I come back to it and I say, well, even as that
- 3:37flower that I have not cut is withering and dying back, it is
- 3:42seeding itself. So it's planning its comeback.
- 3:45It's it's planning its comeback. It knows it's going to die off,
- 3:48but it's planning a comeback. And that's the part of it where
- 3:51is it really dying or is it just morphing?
- 3:53So for me, when things go awry or things go different, I just
- 3:58look at it. Like.
- 3:59I must be working on the comeback and I kind of focus on
- 4:03the fact that the flower does that because the flower isn't
- 4:05really dying off, it's seeding itself again.
- 4:08It's going into a different status.
- 4:10So thinking about this, where are you allowing yourself to
- 4:15wither? Where are you allowing yourself
- 4:17to just die back and, you know, die before you're dead?
- 4:21And where is it where you're receding yourself?
- 4:23Look at the difference in that statement.
- 4:25Look at the difference in how that appears, because that's
- 4:27going to help you shape what you want to do with it.
- 4:30And that's what's so important. I want to help you shape a new
- 4:34way of seeing this. I want to help you see things
- 4:37from a different perspective. It doesn't mean that you're, you
- 4:41know you, you're, you have to just, you know, give up on your
- 4:46life while you're in it doesn't matter how old you are, None of
- 4:50this matters. What matters is your curiosity
- 4:53and your will and your willingness to be able to engage
- 4:56for yourself and with yourself in what makes you feel good and
- 5:00lights you up. And if you don't know what makes
- 5:02you feel good and lights you up anymore, then you have to ask
- 5:05that very important question, what would fill me up, What
- 5:08would light me up? What would make me feel like I
- 5:11am on fire again? And really dig in and find that
- 5:14peace out because that's what's going to save you in the long
- 5:16run. Understanding that, get curious
- 5:18about yourself and know because we definitely do not want to die
- 5:22before we're dead. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:25you have a very blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:28Bye.
