- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Hit on over to milehighhuddle.com to sound off on all things Broncos.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: All right, welcome, and welcome, and it is Tuesday evening, the tenth of March free agency is here.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: I am Nick Kendall going by joining my Carl Dunmore.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: This is building the Broncos Carl.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's always good to see you.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: We need to have like a beer dometer or something in here because man, you are father, Jeb and Daya at this point.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what to, what to go with, but it is, it's a damn good looking beard.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think we need to, thank you.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: If we do that, I do want to hike this year or anything.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: We need to find a stream and do that like recreate where the guy like zooms in on him.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_02]: He does like the head nod.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'm talking like really a famous man.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because you're you're getting there.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm loving it.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: So my wife got home for the first time in a month from her military training graduated from Officer School.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: Congrats to her.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: Very proud of her.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: Very awesome.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: And she saw my beard for the first time.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, wow, okay.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: This is going to take a while for me to get used to.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: So, I was a little saddened by that.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, now I don't want you to like take it off, but she's like maybe, maybe trim and like, put this one grow for a little bit.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think,
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a straight man, but that that beard.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: I am attracted to the beard.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so that's a good look Carl.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I am very jealous as well.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_02]: Also, um, very attracted to super chats coming in here.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: Shout out.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: We got pop up there in the house as good evening Broncos country.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see one of our members constantly coming in.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: 549.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: He put this one in here.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't even know it was going to be a good show yet.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: We could have left him waiting for the super chat.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_02]: So, appreciate you so much, the consistency and everything coming in here from our guy, Papa Bear, hope you're doing well.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're enjoying the weather, man.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_02]: We had a crazy snow on Friday and then it's been like 70 degrees since so Colorado and March, I guess.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: Tim Hall also opening the checkbook 999.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much Tim.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: over on YouTube, he said, aside from Tyler Gallagher, I'm more frustrated with the signings they made than those they didn't.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: Dobbins and Trappin probably could have been extended for less money instead of letting them hit a free agency than overpaying.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think that's probably, that's probably a good call, Tim on that one.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: So like it's he's not saying that they are slightly overpaid, but like if you were just going to
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: Why don't you do what you did for all these other contracts and get them signed beforehand?
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: Now, granted you don't know the market was going to be what it is, but especially for like Trollman, right?
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like you need multiple tight like paying Dobbins early might ward off somebody else.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like you probably want to go through the earlier tiers of running backs before getting to Dobbins.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_02]: But like if the if the plan was Trollman or even like plan C was Trollman,
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: to your contract 9.5 million, something like it's signed it and get the guarantee now.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of, I'm with Tim on this perspective.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's the,
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: You're right, the contracts they handed out are the part where it's a little bit like what in the world you could have gotten this player for just a hair bit more that's younger.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably showing a little bit more on the field than than what we've seen here from trout men or dobbins and the dobbins want it's hard because when he is healthy he is a top seven running back in football like if he was healthy and.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_02]: on the market, we heat being a conversation with brief haul, this cycle, and probably even higher than Kenneth Walker, because Kenneth Walker's been really inconsistent by man, the injuries.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's football.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: You cannot talk about him without the injuries.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, I get it.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: You are actually getting a very talented running back and probably of the running backs that hit the market, maybe the most talented one.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: Less than 5%, I would say at this point.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we've had that enough seasons to see that he can't do it for an entire season.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm still in that wait and see.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: I try to tell people this all the time, like we're two days into free agency technically.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess it hasn't technically fully kicked off.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: Theels will be signed tomorrow.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: But...
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: So there's still plenty of moves to be made.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: There's still plenty of free agents out there that the Broncos could go sign.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: There's going to be some other players that are going to get cut.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos could make a trade.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: We saw a couple drafts to go where the Broncos made a player trade late in the draft to bring in JFM.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: That worked out pretty darn good for the Broncos.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: So there's still plenty of options out there for the Broncos to improve this team.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: But like I said, it's just hard when you're looking at somebody's contracts going,
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: This is who you sign for this kind of money when you've got this other player that looks so much better, signing for just a hair bit more, you're saying that's too much, but now this is okay, that's the part that gets me.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's stiffly and underwhelming.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: free agency period for the Broncos and I know this is probably some level of cope, but the reality is the Broncos because they have been so on the forefront of paying their own players before they hit free agency for the most part and obviously now after they hit free agency.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: But also with how they structured some of these contracts and a lot of people I've seen on Facebook Twitter like the Broncos they're finding the other Russell Wilson dead cap hits and they do this
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: They were already budgetary, but terribly speaking, accounting wise, paying outside of the Russell Wilson contract.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: They struck no country, no team had more void money on the books than the Denver Broncos, because they were paying guys into the future and paying them a lot less the last two seasons to account for that dead capit.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not like all of a sudden, Denver has this massive amount of space.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, that's not how it works.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's not how they set it up.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: these contracts that they signed for all of these guys, count that we didn't really want to let walk the four hitting free agency.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_02]: The way that deals restructured a lot of it was pushed back and starting to hit this year next year.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: So again, I, is it underwhelming?
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like, we're not giant Alex single thing, you know, pound on our chest guys.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I think probably the first four weeks, he was bad.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it was coming off the injury, but it was not very good, but like after that, he was
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: I would probably agree with him as like a C plus B minus climbbacker, which people always want more, but you don't have problers at every spot.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_02]: I want to get really good behind his trout men, especially when I feel like they're like gaslighting us.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like he's just one of the best blockers.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, we watch in the same tape, and then go, like how many, I know it.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: I know the interior offensive line sometimes getting pushback and get issues with the white receivers and everything too, but man, the use.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: Not very good last season, I thought, but I digress.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: Denver got ahead of it on a lot of these guys, and they didn't necessarily have a lot of spots that they had superstars available to them.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: And the talent that they did get for the most part, I thought was on fair value when a lot of the signings and free agency come with sticker shock.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I didn't really have that too much with Denver other than I thought traveling was maybe paid two to three million more per year than I would have offered.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think my memory of Troutman this year is there's a game against the Raiders where he was supposed to do, I think it was kind of like a cross block to get the edge and because it was kind of swinging out his way and of all the people talking about this guy, Crossby isn't gone from the FC West Max Crossby.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: Hit the hole before he could get there and blew up the play in the backfield.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: And if any of you haven't heard or read in the chat, Max Crosby sounds like he failed his physical.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so the Ravens have decided to back out of the deal.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: And so now he is back with the Raiders, which I don't know, puts them in an interesting spot because now they have to take on his cap which they were probably figuring out these fragency moves that all of them that they made with the idea of Max Crosby is gone.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: Two, a lot of his trade partners are gone.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: They've signed other edged guys.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: They went on another direction.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: Trey Hendrickson said he's going to be making his choice tomorrow.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe they don't have as many teams bidding for him.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe they're not getting a two first round picks if they decide to still try to trade him.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: So there's going to be some interesting fallback for the Raiders on this one.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: Now if that's Rosalty Stays, they're still getting a quality player.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: So it's,
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a completely lose-loose situation for them here.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's, hey, we get a good player or we get first round pick and something more for this guy.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm not too worried about them, but it's interesting.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: Biggest trade to the off-season now, completely gone.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's sub been Benjamin Sulek over to ESPN said, hey, NFL, make another crazy trade.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: And we had a rescinded, which is probably even more crazy.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'm over also.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see all plays out.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_02]: I would imagine the cowboys probably still interested.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: The bears make some sense as well.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_02]: And I hope he goes to the NFC on the whole.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see how it plays out.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, really interesting.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: Elias comes in and says unacceptable.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if it was the trade.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: Crosby, he's talking about Broncos for agency.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: Missing a big opportunity as the title says there.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: I feel, I mean, Elias, you are in the majority.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of Broncos country is very frustrated.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't say that I'm frustrated or mad.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, I'm overwhelmed by it, especially because I thought,
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, there was tight ends like once the running back left, I think Denver really wanted to go after running back in the market just did not materialize.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: They had a price and they didn't want to overpay for that.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: So walkers gone, sound like they really wanted E.T.N.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: but they had a price and he blew up.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: I don't love the contract, even with some of the structure stuff for JK Dobbins, that's not the worst in the world, but it's, it's a bet on him, which is a little scary.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: But unacceptable.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's just a little too harsh for me at this point, but I mean, you feel how you want.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: You're in the majority.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I'm underreacting compared to what I'm seeing online.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's like,
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: That understanding that every year is not going to be like 2014 when the Broncos signed to Marcus Ware, keep to leave, TJ Ward, manual Sanders all on day one of the legal tampering period.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't usually happen.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: You can't do that.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: Also, and even as possible, in general, anymore, like teams understand the cap and how they manipulate a lot more.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot more liquid cash available to pay these guys.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'd have sent the crop of free agencies like D. decrease in talent by like 15% the last eight years.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, the players are getting him.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: You look at what the Raiders, I'm going to talk about the Raiders a little bit here, what they had to pay for a title of Linderbaum.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's making 9 million more per year than the second highest paid center.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it took to get him and he's not the best center in football.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's good.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's top five center, but I wouldn't say that he's the best one out.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: They're Creed Humphrey probably still has that title at this point and you just paid this guy nine million more and you had to guarantee pretty much three years the the entire contract to make this work.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: So you're getting, you're getting a good player, but you are paying
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: All pro, all the fame level kind of money.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: Last time I remember this kind of big jump for a position, Calvin Johnson, with Wider Severs.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's been a couple other jumps and other positions.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: But that's the one that really sticks out to me of going from like 10 million to like 18 million for him.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember exactly what it was.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: But it was a big jump.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: It was a 40% jump kind of thing from top to your wider silver money.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: And they just did that for Linderbomb.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Now Calvin Johnson, all the fame level player.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Linderbomb's gonna be all the fame kind of centered.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: So, that's just, again, that's what you're having to do when you get into these bidding wars for free agency.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm not upset that the brokers didn't go out there and spend big.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a little disappointed because there were a couple players, especially at the contracts they got.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, somebody mentioned Tyler Algier.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: would you rather have him for the six million per year or JK Dobbins for the 10 million per year that you just paid him?
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: Both of them, I probably have, yeah, it's true, I would rather have both, but I'd probably rather take Teller, I was year at six million per year than I would JK Dobbins.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's less risk.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think you got a guy that's that less wear and tear.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: He can still go give you a thousand yard kind of season.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: He can pick up those hard yards.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: He can be a great counterpoint to what you're trying to do with RJ Harvey.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still in that wait and see that there's still plenty of moves the Broncos can do so I'm not going to go too crazy two days in.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: But it is a little bit disappointing when the Broncos are were that close to Super Bowl and you're watching some of these other teams make some moves that were that were that close and we're watching especially in our own division Raiders gone crazy chargers have made some nice moves.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: Chiefs are actually out there's been in decent money.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Who's covering for them now?
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: They lost both their starting cornerbacks.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they got plenty of things they got to do, but they got the draft where they've got a couple of decent picks.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: They could go out there and and make that kind of move.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think they've got some options still moving forward.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: And the Broncos do too.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they could still get somebody at pick 30 that you're going, oh wow.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: say we get a safety.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, losing PJ luck.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're good.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: We still got another third safety that we can go out there and use.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: But we got Phil coming in with some stars saying good evening Nick Carl and Deacon Scott.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: I have my fingers crossed that Dobbins plays a full season and gets over a thousand yards.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: Then I would say we got to steal on him.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's just it.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: If he stays healthy, it is a steal of a contract.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: If he doesn't, everybody's coming back
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: We've played this game, we already know how this was going to play out, you know, I've seen him on Twitter already today, getting after people of, oh, I'm going to prove you wrong.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: I can stay healthy and and maybe it happens.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: And then he comes back and says, yeah, told you all, but it's just as likely that it could be the other way where everybody's coming back saying, hey, you told us you were going to stay healthy this year and nothing happened.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: So it's, it's a huge risk.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: especially for a team that really needs a strong running game, and hasn't done much to help the other weaponry on the team at this point.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: So you're putting a lot of eggs in the basket of JK Dobbins to be a star player for you this year.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: And he was when he was healthy, but like it's double-edged sword, like you have to win games.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: And if you have him, you're gonna use him, but like,
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: Do you put them on a pitch count just to limit the touches?
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I know you had some clap backs on Twitter and stuff too.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: And like we're pulling from you by all of the counts.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_02]: Seems like a great guy.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm happy for him to get that contract too, like really.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: But it's certainly risky.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's really risky.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: But thank you, Phil.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: So much for the stars coming in here over on Facebook.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hoping that at all.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: comes out as you're saying there with a steel.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully we can be saying that a year from now when he runs for what?
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: 1,199 yards missing that bonus.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if it's totally yards or Russian yards, but it's a big jump on that escalator too, which makes sense.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_02]: Great comes in, it says, would love to peek the Broncos draft board.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean,
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: I know Broncos country's been screaming, linebacker in tight end for years now, but I mean, the NFL tells you, those are like, good players, they're still matter, but they are, unless they're superstars, you can find starting quality guys in free agency for not pennies on the dollar.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, like,
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: 60% of the price that you are paying for an equal starter to add a Joffensive Tackle corner back.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: So I would still probably stack it to positions of value.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: We're looking defense of Tackle, offense of Tackle, wide receiver, I think, but talent's got a dictated at the end of the day.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: Could it be a safety?
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, linebacker?
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos need tight end and running back.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: I just like look at the board and the talent available on like,
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: Who's that guy at 30 where it matches?
- 16:54[SPEAKER_02]: I just I don't personally I don't think it exists.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's some Nigerian price fans at 30.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's some Eli Stowers fans at 30.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_02]: Personally, I couldn't get behind either of those there at this point.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: But we'll see.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: I if you trade back.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: And get to the middle of round two and take one of those guys, I can, I can, I can understand you talking about 15 20 picks back.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, then then I can be okay.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: They, they were probably second round values anyway, that there's still a lot of risk I don't know if you said, I got around all you.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: He does not like them.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: No, he does not at all.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I get I mean, he is a very high variance player just like RV Harvey.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: and you need a little bit more of a consistent player, which is, I mean, JK Dobbins, thankfully he is that kind of guy of turning out four or five yards per carry and making sure most plays are a very positive direction for the offense.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: So, but the third running back, I'd rather have somebody that you can lead into to maybe not be quite as good as JK Dobbins, but not be the complete falloff that we saw last year.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know that I see any running backs in this draft beyond Jeremiah love that I'm said they're saying yep that guy that guy could be it.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: I really like a couple guys Emma Johnson from Nebraska.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a nice one one cut and go kind of guy.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think he would be fun to watch in this offense.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: There's Mike Washington is another one.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: who's got some athleticism and some burst to his game that I think would be fun as well.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's a couple of names I like, but there's nobody like last year's draft form going on.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: We had this running back.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: I would be very, very excited.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's just not quite that draft this year.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see in the Titan, as he said, Stowers.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's more of a hybrid, wide receiver than he is really a tight end at this point.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be, the little note, yeah, that right, exactly.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: Which, I mean, it's valuable in this system.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: We see little Jordan Humphrey gets a lot of snaps in this offense, but not quite what I'm wanting if I'm especially taken at Pick 30.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: not looking for a little Jordan Humphrey.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking for a little bit more bang for the buck.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: Big Jordan Humphrey, if you will.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: So we want to say a little to some folks and hear Todd good to see Orange Crush says, it'll be all boastful and the offense doesn't improve.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_02]: Same, sorry, receivers.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, people got fired for those, sorry, receivers dropping passes.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, think the big three things, Shawn, didn't hint on, stated outright.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_02]: Drop balls, takeaways, and run game efficiency.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: with coaching and development and work can be improved even with the same guys you have here.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see, but I mean, yeah, I can't, I understand that people upset about it.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: Chase Walner, good to see is as BTV, appreciate you coming in.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: Got a guy Michael, good evening Broncos, Country, good to see a Michael hope you're doing well.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're staying healthy, Dylan's in the house, Dylan.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: How are you doing?
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: I like that wrench there.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, good to see a, uh, appreciate you.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: We got MBLX test prep.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: Howdy, howdy, hope you're doing well.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: Buddy, Chris Bell in the house.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think they'll wait until tomorrow to get Dallas got her and someone like Keline Keenan Allen.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to be cheaper and look at what's left at.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: Running back, they'll be cheaper and go get guys in the draft.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, you can further fortify those positions.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: We're also still up.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you assign that busy at work, Carl.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: PJ Lock still out there, right?
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like he wasn't picked up by Buffalo or.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: Anything, right, P.J.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: Locke, Bueller, anybody?
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, he was, he was with the, he went to the Cowboys.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: He signed with the Cowboys.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: God bless.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: Good for him.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that makes sense with the, uh, gosh, the name.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: Christian Parker out there now former defense backs coach obviously a demo for a bit so all right well that's that's a bummer but you do have key skinner here as well and maybe even barren or jamek factor into that at safety as well so we'll see coming here we got sea chain hopefully broncos will do something tomorrow on free agency they've been closed on some they read out there on
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: Dobs, obviously, E.T.N.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: was one as well, did seem like the plan all along for linebacker with Singleton, Instagram ad back.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_02]: And if they got Singleton back, they were happy to move on from green law.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: But tight end and running back from what I've heard, there was names that they targeted first, but the price range reached the number that Denver wasn't willing to budget for.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: And this is where the hard part is for me.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: you have phoenix on his rookie contract, if there is a time for you to maybe be willing to not have such a hard line on contracts, maybe this is that time, for you say, you know what?
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we are paying A type money for a B type player, but this is the time that we can actually make that work.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: Now, like you said, the contracts the way they structured them,
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the Russell Wilson money's gone, but they structured the contracts to have the bigger hits be now.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not like they actually saved the money per say, or that they now have this windfall of 80 million dollars free that wasn't there before.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: So they still have to be careful, but I think there's there's one or two deals that you could sit there and say, yes, we can pay an extra three million.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm thinking of instead of paying Dobbins 10 million, you pay ETN 13 million.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it stinks and it's probably above what he should be getting paid, what he brings for what he brings to the table.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: But you also recognize we really like this guy and thank you to be a great fit this offense.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: We trust that he can stay healthy.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think he only missed two games since he's been in the NFL.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, those kind of things, I'm just weighing that out and saying, for me, personally, I know this isn't my money.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just, I'm willing to throw a Broncos Walmart money at this like crazy.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: I would be saying, that's one deal, I'm willing to pay that extra $3 million.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you know, who's willing to pay that extra?
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: Shannon, coming in here with 99, 99 super chat.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: Really, gracious to see you, Shannon, appreciate you coming in.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: Hope your mouth is better following tooth surgery.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: I think last time we heard from you.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_02]: It says a good evening.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos won 14 games and got to the AFC championship game of the players that fit.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_02]: Team culture and playing with heart and determination, teams that spend had to Broncos that more to start with.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: And also, again, I've, then we're one, a lot of games last year on one score.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: And Sean Payne talked about it.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: We've talked about it like that's bound for some aggression.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the first place schedule is upcoming year.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't imagine the says every year.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't imagine the Charger's going to be as injured as they were last season.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see about the Chiefs Raiders.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you're going to be picking one over all again.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: But still, the main aspect
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: the players on the rookie contracts taking steps forward.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of times the growth from your team or decline year to year as letting guys walk and out replacing them and then that young class controlled talent taking steps forward and filling in.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: So like Riley Moss, maybe he takes another step for next year.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: We have three rookie contract wide receivers.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: Argy Harvey, you're too.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, where the
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: The air bars are on this team, or the widest variance is like what this team can be this year, wasn't necessarily going to be what they came out of in free agency.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: And they've had some solidifying moves on those guys are all year older.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: That's all part of it too.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: But again, what's going to really change this team next season to be better?
- 24:44[SPEAKER_02]: And even let's say let's say they win 12 games.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: They could be a better team next year and win less games.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: Very possible.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: But a lot of that's going to come from the guys already here.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_02]: Rookie contracts
- 24:56[SPEAKER_02]: Bonix taking a step forward or just maintaining what we saw from the by week on I mean that the bill's game bonus if that's baseline I mean you got a top eight quarterback where the first half last season Planned bottom 12 quarterback yeah bottom 14 I mean he just wasn't very good to start the season on erratic job is good moments, but He looked really good the second half of the season, so that's that'll be the kicker
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, in the last two years, he has started off a little bit rough, and it seems he takes about eight weeks to kind of get into the flow of things and everybody get figured out what they're supposed to be doing.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: And so hopefully this year it doesn't take half the season for for boat to get things figured out and and I would say the other big factor.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: Would be a new offensive coordinator calm place, they just web.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: if he maybe gets the offense looking a little bit more consistent when it comes to play calling which is a big ask.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean we're still talking about Sean Peyton being the guy that was calm plays and and being he's still a top 5-7 play caller in football.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean that that's what we got to keep in mind and thank you all for the the beard compliments.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: It means a lot.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: But you're right it's going to come from the young players
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Pat Bryant taking another step as a rookie wide receiver.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: He had a good rookie season.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_01]: If he becomes a little bit more consistent part of this offense and can stay healthy, he could become a huge factor of Mark and MIMS.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: Seems like every year all of a sudden we figure out how to use him in the last about month of the season.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: If we could figure that out a little bit earlier, maybe maybe all of a sudden you've got your true number two wide receiver that you're going, oh crap.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: This is why we drafted.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: This is what we thought he could be.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: and Troy Franklin as well.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he had a pretty good second year season for a fourth-round pick.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was very good return on investment for like a fourth-round guy.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: But, and then Titan, I mean, have an in-groom, wasn't a whole lot last year.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe year two in this system, maybe Davis Webb, Colin plays, maybe he figures out something.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: He can become a 750 to 800-yard Titan for yet.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: then Dobbins stay in healthy RG Harvey year two in the system.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he isn't quite as high variance of a player, where it's no longer a negative play or a 50 yard play.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he starts starting into he figures out how to run some of those four or five yard plays and just get the yards that are given on the play.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe offensive line can even take another step.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: All five returning, that's a big deal.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: Ben Powers being healthy.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: All that season.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: So there's ways for this team to improve without having to add players for sure and free agency.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still in the boat though.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'd like to see them make one.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: One move that I can hang my hat on and say, yep, that's the move.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's the one that I can really look at and say, that's the Hufanga kind of of signing from this past year.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now, they could just as well be Drake Rima.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: And we're regretting it going, oh, crap.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: Now, we've got to cut this guy and get him out of here.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: So it goes both ways.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's the part of free agency is a lot of times.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it looks like you're improving your team.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: but not always are those players actually going to make it as big of difference as you think they are.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, you're right.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: Eric Smith says, simple.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: You take care of the guys that got you where you are and you build up the team the right way through the draft.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: Gatorade gaming in the house.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: The one thing Eric Smith about taking care of the guys who get gotcha there is you do have to like naturally phase players out as well.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like you can't just like keep retaining guys
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: I say this is a 34 year old like once you hit 30 you know the JFM if you use the second contract player then we're probably able to found a way to figure out how to keep him but you know third contract you don't want to have I mean God that'd be all four of your top interior defensive linemen third contract players that's
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: not long term sustainable.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's really not what you want.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: You kind of want to stagger the the ages and the contracts of those guys so overall you're right though, draft develop pertain.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: Colby comes in and says we need a wide receiver or tight end.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: Still got the draft coming up and also the one thing people are frustrated about and I get it.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_02]: You know, really wanting another wide receiver running back tight end.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_02]: Then Brazil has a chance to make a trade.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_02]: We've seen Denver make trades.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think you mentioned earlier, Carl, during the draft.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: But also, we still have the baseline of the team for the most part that got to 14 and three last season.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm imagining the bottom's not gonna fall out before the trade deadline.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: And there's gonna be a different market come, what is that?
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: Week eight, week nine.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe Bruce Hall, who's playing on the tag.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: the jets are terrible and you can give them a fifth round pick to bring in brief haul.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this isn't Broncos will be continuing to evaluate on from there.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: This is not going to be the only window for the 2016 to add talent.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, so important to keep that perspective as well.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be interested what the Broncos would have done if JK
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: Because you got injured, I think it was the week right after it was, would, would they have made a move to to bring in the running back at that point, I agree.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think they would have as well.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: And how much of a difference would that have made on the season?
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody knows, but I don't think it could have hurt compared to what the running game was bringing after JK dobs would down.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, not good.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_02]: I also really don't like the.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: People who cover the team that are not really draft people per se.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: Senegal, we can just do the mid-round running back thing.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_02]: Most of you are a great strategy.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_02]: This year, there may be three backs who will go day two.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: When I think you typically see eight to 12.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_02]: So I know there might be more.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you're talking about singleton.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: It all takes one team to kind of look past the felony assault in prison for Seth McGowan.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: Matt Kentucky, V. I think Oklahoma move for that.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: You got Jonah Coleman, of course, price, and then the Penn State guys, but like for me, like mid-round this season is not where you want to go at running back.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'd much rather pay one of these other guys in here so that way you're not forced to burn.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: around three pick on a running back when there's a much better linebacker safety tight end available.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_02]: It makes more sense.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see a Greg Smith good to see a Paul's in the house to appreciate hope you're doing well.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_02]: Ernie Mays, the Raiders are trash.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, they are.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: I do think I do like Mendoza unfortunately, but we'll see how he does.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe the stench of the Raiders will ruin him.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: This is Billy, good to see you.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_02]: He says Nick and Carl, I just got here, but you hear about the news about crossing the raiders.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_02]: We did laughing at the raiders in man.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be, like you mentioned, the salary cap implications now after hanging all of this money.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, are they going to rescind contracts before?
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: before free agency's officially a man.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know how that works.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: It couldn't happen to a better franchise.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's for sure.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: Also, we got the rock coming in here and says, I guess the chief's taking and I can board people that long.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: And 20 mile high hurdle memberships.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much, Mike.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: Really, really generous.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: That is awesome, man.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's, I gotta say,
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: he has always been not not only in the super chats but then always after the shows making sure to let us know he appreciated the shows and and so just huge huge supporter thank you so much and all of you guys man this has been a this has been a fun night yeah a lot of fun people in here didn't just say hi to everybody at William Connellano's in the house I saw of course
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: Pearl is in here as well.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: Tell the corgis I said, Hi, Pearl.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: Always appreciate you, Denver, Luke.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, Sunny Stales.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_02]: Don't know why they resigned the fishmen.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_02]: Try out, try out.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_02]: When you could have spent a little bit more on in joku or a goddard, say he's a great block, or I can't see that was true.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I'm kind of with you on that one.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: I will say goddard.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_02]: his injuries have really taken the toll and his body might be breaking down somewhat.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: So a little bit of buyer beware on that one.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, you got to joku out there.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_02]: I saw the jags just released a blocking tight end as well.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, give me those wise if you can and joku slot there.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_02]: It does seem like though, Carl, Denver is more so looking right now this next way of
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: 20% of SNAPs, you know, kind of give yourself options of safety on is not quite ready or it was a week is not really, you know, stepping up as a past rusher, and then also a veteran wide receiver.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_02]: Who's that going to be somebody to toss out Keen and Alan earlier, maybe, but it's a young room.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's a crowded room.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what that means, maybe somebody's traded from the room if you do bring in a veteran.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: wide receiver, two, three, four type, but we'll see.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I will say, people will say, well, why would Denver do that?
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: Why would they trade one of these wide receivers?
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: Brother, our sister, they just did a last year at Devon Bayley.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: One year after he looked promising, they flipped them immediately when the draft fell a certain way.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I would not count on anybody sticking around right now.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: If you can get a decent ROI and you want to go a different direction.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I wouldn't turn down and you kind of trade for some of these guys.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: There are decent choices.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think if I look at our white or silver room right now, I'm sitting there saying, I like these guys.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: There's not one of them that I sit there and say, man, that's going to be the next big receiver that needs to be here long term.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: that they're kind of, they're good on their rookie contract.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_01]: Beyond that, I'm not seeing them probably stay with the Broncos unless something, I mean, Pat Bryant could be that guy.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I do really like Marvin Mimbs and especially how he helps with special teams.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I wish they could figure out how to use him more consistently in the offense.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: But part of that also is, a lot of his touches on the offense have to be,
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: Manufactured, we're really funneling this play to him.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: We're setting him up for the play.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a, hey, he's read number two or three on the play.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: And he gets open, runs a perfect route, bonus finds and kind of players.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: So if the Broncos can find a good trade form, I'm not going to fight that at all.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: And we got victory time coming in saying hello.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: Who in free agency would still be a valuable pickup?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the super chat there, victory time.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to think who's who's still out there.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, I remember there's one I had, I mean, we got the tie-dins.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's somebody who's already kind of talked about a little bit here.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: Juan Jennings?
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: What was that?
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: Why receiver?
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: Juan Jennings?
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: Juan Jennings is probably 90.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_02]: The big one, that's left.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_02]: Would play that little Jordan Humphrey role.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: You know, physical.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: still big slot type.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_02]: So he's, he's interesting.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: I would be fine with a joke.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: We had to be fine with that jagged tight end.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: They just released.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I think he got to be digging in the wide receiver, or even the running back market as well.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's just so like we just talked about not being, you know, we have to go in the draft.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: The just, if you're looking for a running back three, I guess, but with the ovens, it just kind of changes the math for me.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: So, I don't know, and it'll be interesting.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: And we talked about interior defensive line as well,
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: Joseph day, this is a hyphenated last name.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: I miss, it's totally Shelby Joseph day was his name.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think it's Shelby, but he's Sebastian Joseph day.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, he's interesting guy, I know that the Broncos were interested in three or four years ago when he was available, they went DJ Jones, right instead, but he's one to keep an eye on, and then of course he got
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: Cam Jordan, not Jordan Cameron, it's Cam Jordan, because there's a tight end named the other way.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: But he's available and also Clay is Campbell, who has been interesting for a long time.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: Man, six and a half stacks last season, heck of a player, I mean, just incredible.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to be 40, I think, 10 years older than Davis Webb, so I unbelievable.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: I remember I think it was maybe nine years ago he was hit in the free agent market.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: And Rock was we're in a bidding war with the drag wires, I think at the time, and I was, I was messaging back and forth a few in Eric at that time.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: And Eric would be like, Oh, I think he's coming to Denver.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I was at the Denver Zoo at that time with my daughter in my wife.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: And so I kept having to excuse myself, hey, I got to go check and make sure the news isn't happening right now.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: And then, oh, nope, never mind.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: Just kept going back and forth that whole time.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: And then I just remember standing next to my car when I saw he signed with the Jaguar as going, I don't know, that was one of the biggest letdowns of a guy that I really wanted in Denver because he's such a, he's such a good guy beyond the ball.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's been up for the Walter Peyton award.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: countless times.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: And he's the ageless wonder, you know, everywhere he goes, he's just such a great player.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: And so maybe, yeah, if you have one more year, now I'm going to go the opposite into that.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: Throughout this name, Stefan Diggs.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: The talent's there.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: But, no way, obviously.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: Now it's been been felony charge April 1st.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe, maybe after April 1st, but I mean, he might be going to prison, and I felt money, right?
- 39:15[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe not, because different laws for different people.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, I can't imagine he's touched until April 1st.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm with the, I'm probably, I wouldn't go that direction.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: Even if he gets cleared,
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: Aggies that's coming with him that I would probably stay away.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: I do know a lot of the Patriots players said that he was a great locker room guy that they had no problems with them Those kind of things.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, part of it is what else are they going to say?
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody asked hey, how was digs in the locker room?
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he was terrible.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: We hated him.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: He was ostracized from the entire team.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_01]: They're not going to say that, but
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: So, it's so hard when you've got such talent, you know, it's like Tyree Kill.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: That right now because of his injuries, I wouldn't even stay away from him.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think they were saying it was just recently that he started being able to walk without assistance.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: So, he's not going to be ready by the season start anyway, but, uh,
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I just would not go go that direction.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: We got Shannon Mills coming back in saying, considering what just happened with Crosby, maybe the Broncos were smarter than we thought.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: If some of these deals fall through, the Broncos can pick up some wonder for a more reasonable price.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: I do think there's times where patience pays off.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of times, most years, a team that's deemed that the winner of free agency is not the winner in the season.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: I remember the Washington, what they used to be, used to win free to see about every other year.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: And then by the time two years later, they're cutting all those players going, this thinks, this is horrible.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_01]: We should never have signed these players these contracts.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so like I said, most of the time, when you're actually getting involved in free agency, it's not for the better.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think you complete the ignore it either, because the Broncos don't win the Super Bowl in 2015 without getting involved in the free agency period of 2014.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: And bring in all of those guys in.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we're a 14 and three team.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: If we don't sign Hufanga, if we don't have a couple of our offensive linemen that we brought in through free agency, I,
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: I tried the coolest.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: I guess we got plenty of the players on defense because he got Brandon Jones is another one.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: Alex single tin was not a home homegrown player, but not like giant splash.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like Denver's hit in free agency on defense.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: Zach Allen was relatively different like was.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: Dregaryman Hafanga other than that though.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what it's supposed to be.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's supposed to be supplement, no granted.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: I would argue that Denver didn't necessarily supplement their roster in free agency, but new and different doesn't necessarily also mean better.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't want other things.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: I hate to appeal to authority, but like,
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: with what George Peyton and Sean Peyton have done over the last three years to turn this team around.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: For me, I'm not going to say it has to be for you.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to finger-wagon you for thinking differently, but like they've gotten a little bit of benefit of the doubt.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm not going to be skeptical.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: You can go back on this episode.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_02]: We talked a lot about like the contract with JK Dobbins and Troutman and stuff and like maybe some missed opportunities elsewhere.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: But like
- 42:42[SPEAKER_02]: For me, what this team has done and how quickly and emphatically they turn things around, I'm personally gonna wait and see how it plays out.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: Now, that doesn't make a great sound bit.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not up here, like, fire and brimstone, pound it at the TV and punching my camera.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, goodness, the results are speaking for themselves and maybe this is gonna be a step back, teams.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: You kinda look back at the 2017 Saints draft when they was like, all pro after all pro.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this is just how we are now.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_02]: We're so good at evaluating draft classes.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: You got lucky and he is slid back to normal.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe this is slid back in normal somewhat.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_02]: But so far, I just, I can analyze the moves.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: I can be skeptical.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: I have concerns, but like am I losing my mind over it?
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: No, because I have some level of faith and trust in Sean Payton and George Payton given what they have done the last three years.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to trust those guys.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: And we got William James Baker coming in and saying, guys, wouldn't maybe trading for Higgins or Chase at Bangles be a good shout out.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: I would be against this.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't be against this for sure.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'd have to look at their contracts.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they're very tradable contracts.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then throw in what the Bangles, the Bangles are like the worst team and then a felt to deal with for a trade.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: essentially they're going to put out their offer of hey this is what we want for the player and we're not we're not even negotiating this is the price it's it's going into the grocery store and you try to go haggle the price of a jar of pickles they're going to say no this is the price pay it that that's how the bagels are and so Jamar Chase they're probably going to want
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: Higgins, probably two first round picks.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they've had offers for guys, pretty hindricks in.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_01]: They had a first round offer, not too long ago.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: And they said, nope, now they're letting them go for free.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_01]: They'd rather, they'd rather do that.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: Let a guy go for free, then take an offer, they don't deem to be worthy.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't see that happening.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you still got a dream round out there.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see if the Eagles reach that point of saying, we're willing to come off our,
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: are asking price of first and second round pick.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: Eagles are another team that are very tough to negotiate with because they're going to get what they think they deserve.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: They don't, they don't have an additional weakness.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: We'll just keep the guy.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_02]: We don't care if he doesn't like being here.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:19[UNKNOWN]: I'm.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with him too.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: Famous football.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_02]: You don't offer anything close.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not looking to make a deal.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_02]: Just to make a deal.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: Pay on what they're worth.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much, William.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: I did want to say a lot of some more folks in here coming in.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_02]: Junior comes in all caps.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_02]: Don't you want to see what web does the running back competitor before tossing it all.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: Shondon using him correctly and he was horrible at run place.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to see a lot of different things next season, but I am curious to see what web does.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_02]: Again, some of it's just like the one-on-one reps.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes, like I don't think web's going to magically make you when you're one-on-one rep in blocking or stuff, but I mean, we'll see what it looks like next season.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: Rodney does another good name.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of still like cheap.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_02]: one million four year running back options available and I would love to bring one of those in here just to raise the floor of the room.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_02]: Give you somebody to pitch a little different pitch out of the back field if you will and Chris Rodriguez makes a lot of sense.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see that.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, again, some Broncos beat reporters have put that mid-round running back stuff.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of cringe.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think typically that's a great strategy.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't really lined up with like that.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_02]: So I'd be all about Chris Rodriguez or somebody of that ilk, as well.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a good call.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: I did want to see Mile Hi, Mike comes in.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: So who's replacing green law?
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: Probably draft.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you bring in kind of another Alex Singleton type or you trade for somebody like 67, they're on pick from another team.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's going to be Drew Sanders.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think Drew Sanders is outskie.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see, shallows in the house, I wanted to definitely say hello to Patrick coming in here, our coffee provider, man, God bless you.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_02]: I love you so much.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm waiting for it to go a little bit warm before I dig into that Lyon coffee cold brew, but I'm excited, very, very excited to try it as well.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_02]: So, oh, we're starting to wrap up here.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, times get in close.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_02]: Any final thoughts?
- 47:11[SPEAKER_02]: On this class, or anywhere else you wanted to go from here, obviously,
- 47:15[SPEAKER_02]: I was really hoping for a little bit more of a splash at tight end or running back specifically.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of talented options at linebacker and Denver chose to go back.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not as over my skis.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_02]: Personally about the linebackers, I thought that it's strunaut and single to the last half of the year played better than green law.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: Also there was some other stuff behind the scenes with green law too.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't really mind that as much.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_02]: feels like a missed opportunity with running back and tight end as well.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm not completely underwhelmed or overwhelmed at this point about what the Broncos have done.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen the Broncos too often, and especially lately with Peyton and Peyton, be able to make those those big moves that
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: where you finally get real value for what you put into it.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_01]: A sixth for JFM, those kind of moves where even JK Dobbets, he was a late signing.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think he was he after the draft last year.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_02]: It was majoring.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: And he did bring value.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we argue about the injuries and rightfully so.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: But when he was healthy, that guy was, he was the offense.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: More so than Boe nicks at that point, because Boe wasn't playing very good.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: And so, I'm willing to wait, I'm willing to see, especially with the next week brings when you're getting into second and third wave of free agency and just see what other players maybe the Broncos can bring in.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think there is a trade, that's very much a possibility for this team.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: Champagne is perfectly fine giving up a draft pick for a player he thinks can really help this team.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he doesn't hate the draft,
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: but he's also one, he was very aggressive when he thinks there's a guy that's gonna improve this team.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: So I think there's plenty of chances for this team to still take a step forward and just wait and see.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_01]: And this was a 14 to three team.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_01]: So running it back with most of your team from last year, makes a lot of sense.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: All these guys knowing the system, I know a lot of people are especially against single 10, but that guy is your green dot guy.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_01]: He is the one that knows this deepens inside and out, gets people in the right position.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_01]: having to train a new guy to do that.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes it's a little harder than people realize.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's not just, hey, this guy is more physically talented.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_01]: This guy really understand what we're trying to do on defense.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_01]: And singleton does.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: And we got a film of cloth when coming back in, again with some more stars saying, let's be optimistic.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_01]: It learns to block and get open to become the number one tied in.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_01]: Pat Bryant becomes the number one wiper seeper.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_01]: Barron becomes Pro Bowl player.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: Harvey gets 999 yards.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_01]: We crazed your things of happened.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe not, well, the troutman learning how to block and become open and become a number one tight end.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably the only one that I look at and I say, hmm, that one's probably never happening.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_01]: The rest of them, all very possible.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, are you getting 999 yards?
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: I would say all purpose yards, maybe not rushing yards.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's a real possibility for him.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: When you're talking about rushing and receiving,
- 50:36[SPEAKER_01]: There's a reason that he's a first round pick and a lot of people were surprised he was there at PIC20 last year.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think he can still become a very, very good player in the NFL.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't had a chance to really see him.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_01]: Fat Bryant, I think he can become a good receiver.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think number two is probably his ceiling and bow being Super Bowl MVP.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, somebody's got a win it.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_01]: And Brock goes, they're in the Super Bowl and we win it.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_01]: Probably bows the one that's getting it.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_02]: Every year is a clean slate.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_02]: Team start at zero on zero.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_02]: New vibe in the locker room, new goal, new direction, new tightness, new relationships.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously there is some establishment.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Vegas puts out the lines beginning of a year for a reason.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: Vegas looks like it does not because they go.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_02]: broke.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_02]: They make money.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: So Carl's favorite place, Vegas.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: I always get me the heck to the mountains on that one.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_02]: I did like that steak though.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_02]: God bless.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, good steak.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, that's very optimistic view.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: Phil, and I'm here for it.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_02]: For me, I'm just here wait and see.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not am I thrilled with free agency?
- 51:44[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, not at all.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty milk toast in my opinion, but
- 51:50[SPEAKER_02]: they have to me in my opinion, have her in the benefit of the doubt, and we'll see how it plays out in.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_02]: Boy, I hope it you guys look as foolish as I did being like bone X, 12 overall.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe in a trade back, I think he's more of a day two player.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: And right now he's been well worth picked 12 overall now.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna have to talk about how high he is, well worth 12 overall, and looks like a franchise quarterback.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 52:16[SPEAKER_02]: Again, they've hit well enough, you're never going to bat a thousand, but then if it are the doubt for me, again, though, pinch a skepticism, a little underwhelmed, but Kacerasura, Carl, it's been a lot of fun.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_02]: I wish we had a little bit more and glitz to talk about, then we did, but still, you guys were awesome, and again, this is, again, it feels like Cope, but if you remember the Broncos a few years ago, I'm going to try to throw some Wilson and the pick was
- 52:46[SPEAKER_02]: For free agency, let's pretend you're putting up Zach Allen minors, bulls, Sutton, got some sure there's more.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: that I say, my Alan, I mean, gosh, just all these guys that you got ahead before they get hit this stupid inflated market and let them go for a probably a kind.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Benito, that was one that I should have said.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_02]: Here you go.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_02]: This is well, and also Denver has a couple for agents coming up with their own side, which they've shown, get ahead of them a little early.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: Riley Moss, to see the chat's talking about it, maybe him, Marvin Mims, maybe him.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they do a bonus, contract coming up here we're in its extension.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_02]: He still plays out the next two years,
- 53:26[SPEAKER_02]: three years after that.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_02]: So again, Denver is in a good situation when it had been more fun to add somebody that we can be excited about yes, but I'd rather them be conservative than overpay for somebody because they felt panicked and it doesn't work out for them.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see still a good team regardless.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think of the say it's their claim to fame today,
- 53:54[SPEAKER_01]: was that they actually signed a contract that didn't have void years for the very first time in, I don't know, five or six years.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: And everybody's going, oh my gosh, there, there may be out of this cap hill.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't want to see the Broncos get to that place where we're having to rework every single deal that we've already made just to get under the cap and try to get signings going.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: So Broncos are being smart.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_01]: hopefully just not too conservative that it ends up hurting this team where other teams passed them moving forward.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you guys for joining this evening and Nick, it's been a fun conversation, man.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_02]: Always this, kind of get in over to bedtime here.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_02]: Rodney also came in a few times good evening.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see us all your comments, Rodney got in here a little late, so we were trying to wrap up, but I did wanna give you a shout out and well, hi, Mike.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_02]: If you come out, come with us next week or even better, the morning shows.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_02]: Friday, I'm sure we're gonna have a lot of draft conversation.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think it sounds like he's going to go for overall and to go from 30 to 4 overall, you're talking about three first round picks plus rookie contract starter.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I just he's a good player.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_02]: The only time I need to trade like that makes any sort of sense is a quarterback.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_02]: Just wait, this is just too risky to give up that many cost control players.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_02]: So if he falls, you know, talking like, pick 20.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_02]: I can train him for running back to risky, but I just don't think it's going to come.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_02]: Not even going to be close to a conversation.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_01]: I would love him.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think you'd be the perfect piece to add to this offense, but there's a reason that he's expected to go as you said, probably pick four, if not then by somewhere picked 10, somebody's getting him in the top 10.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's just, he might be the best player
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I know it's not the most premium position, but there's still teams going out there saying, yep, just take talent.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's so hard to win in this league and to keep your job for a fan, you know, do you want to use that top five pick on our running back?
- 55:53[SPEAKER_02]: No, but for a head coach and GM, if that could buy you two or three more seasons,
- 56:01[SPEAKER_02]: duh, on that one.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_02]: So, appreciate everyone.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_02]: Man, a lot of super chats today.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_02]: You guys are awesome.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_02]: Tim Hall, good to see a pop of bear.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_02]: Tim Hall again, Elias Saint unacceptable.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think of Lemonhead.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_02]: I did that commercial was after my time, but I just loved the meme.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_02]: Film a Glouphling, good to see.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate a couple from Phil Grig, good to see Shannon Mills, the giant super chat also really support from a lot of support from Michael Rakeo as well.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_02]: Victory time, appreciate Jen William.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_02]: Also, you guys are great to make sure you're following Carl and I on X, Twitter, whatever it is, Carl is a Carl done on my SHM and it kind of let me change.

- 56:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hoping that beard is here next week, otherwise I'm going to have to kick you from the chat.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're
- 56:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think the chat would be revolted and repulsed if you, uh, and the wind just picked up.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_02]: If you didn't, uh, keep the beard as well.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_02]: So it's true.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell my, uh, tell my wife that if I cut the beard, the super Chad stop.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_01]: So you can't cut off the beard.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, no more coffee.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_02]: There we go.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there we go.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_02]: So all right.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_02]: Well, appreciate you guys.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_02]: Have a great afternoon.
- 57:21[UNKNOWN]: I,
- 57:22[SPEAKER_02]: still a great team, and a lot to be excited for.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_02]: And for agents sees not coming on yet, like those will be some moves, but straff season, which is even more fun in my opinion.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_02]: So you guys have a great one.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_02]: Shout out to Chad in the background, boss man and appreciate you.
