- 1:36Speaker 1: As mentioned a few minutes ago, we are joined today
- 1:38Speaker 1: by special guest Callie from Hallmarks the Spot. This is
- 1:41Speaker 1: actually Callie's second visit to the podcast. She joined us
- 1:45Speaker 1: to discuss a New Year's Resolution back in January.
- 1:49Speaker 2: But I still hate that movie.
- 1:53Speaker 1: There was a preview starring the star of that movie
- 1:57Speaker 1: while I was watching this movie, and I'm we arey
- 2:00Speaker 1: nervous to discuss that movie with you. But Kellie started
- 2:05Speaker 1: her recap and review blog called Hallmarks the Spot cute
- 2:08Speaker 1: to s name in the business, that started in twenty
- 2:11Speaker 1: nineteen after years of what she says, she was essentially
- 2:14Speaker 1: treating Hallmark Christmas movies like a sport. We're so happy
- 2:17Speaker 1: to have you here again. Thank you for joining us, Calli, thank.
- 2:21Speaker 3: You guys for having me. I'm so excited to be
- 2:23Speaker 3: back and talking to you guys about Christmas movies this time.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Yes, so, because we have a guest, Wendy's ready to
- 2:31Speaker 1: go with her synopsis, Easy girl, Hey, look what I
- 2:36Speaker 1: was far earlier prepared today than I ever am to.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Me too, totally okay about next stop Christmas. Angie is
- 2:45Speaker 2: determined to spend Christmas alone, but her usual commuter ride
- 2:49Speaker 2: turns into a Christmas train that drops her off in
- 2:52Speaker 2: her hometown. In two thousand and eleven stars Lindsay Fonseca,
- 2:59Speaker 2: Chandler man See, Leah Thompson, and Christopher Lloyd.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I feel like the news and note section of this
- 3:06Speaker 1: movie is maybe the most important part of this movie. Okay,
- 3:11Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I have quite a bit, but I'm interested to hear
- 3:16Speaker 2: what you guys might have.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Kelly, why don't we let you go first?
- 3:20Speaker 3: Yeah? Well, so I don't have a ton of news
- 3:23Speaker 3: and notes. But one thing that I heard I heard
- 3:27Speaker 3: like a slippet of a snippet of Leah Thompson's interview
- 3:30Speaker 3: about this movie, and she made a comment that she
- 3:33Speaker 3: and Christopher Lloyd have been in several movies together but
- 3:36Speaker 3: have never had any scenes together. So I thought that
- 3:41Speaker 3: was really interesting that they, you know, they build it
- 3:45Speaker 3: as them back together and you know, back to the
- 3:47Speaker 3: future kind of reunion. But they they weren't in any
- 3:50Speaker 3: scenes in this movie either.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Okay, wait a second, I've seen Back to the Future
- 3:54Speaker 2: a million times and just realized they are never in
- 3:56Speaker 2: a scene together.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah, they are in scenes together, their characters never speak
- 4:00Speaker 1: directly to each other.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Oh that's what it was. Oh that's what she was saying. Okay, Well,
- 4:04Speaker 3: my husband pointed out that they were both in Dennis
- 4:07Speaker 3: the Menace as well. Oh.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I don't know if I've ever seen Dennis the movie.
- 4:10Speaker 3: We recently just watched it with our boys, like probably
- 4:14Speaker 3: a few months ago, and I wouldn't have known either,
- 4:17Speaker 3: But yeah, he's Christopher Lloyd plays this really gross like
- 4:21Speaker 3: kind of bum that abducts Dennis the Menace.
- 4:24Speaker 1: But oh no, yeah, dark, it's very different. Is that
- 4:30Speaker 1: like Walter Mathow as mister Wilson? Okay, yes, okay, was
- 4:34Speaker 1: that out in the nineties.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I don't, I don't, yes, yes.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Wow, yeah, Well this movie was very originally titled The
- 4:43Speaker 1: Christmas Train, but guys, that's both a book and a
- 4:47Speaker 1: Christmas movie on the Hallmark Channel. Oh, so they had
- 4:49Speaker 1: to rename it. I actually really enjoy that Christmas book.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I do too.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very sweet and the movie's nice adapt Passion.
- 4:57Speaker 1: It's a little bit different. It's yeah, has like Dermot mulroney. Yes,
- 5:03Speaker 1: it's just a sweet Hallmark movie. It's kind of not
- 5:06Speaker 1: your typical Hallmark.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Movie with Dermott mulroney. Yeah. Oh, I might have to
- 5:10Speaker 2: put that on my friendly app and look for it.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Is it? I feel like it was maybe twenty eighteen.
- 5:15Speaker 3: It's not terribly old.
- 5:17Speaker 1: The book is much older than the movie.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Well, you know, I'm not going to.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Read the book.
- 5:22Speaker 3: So the book is by someone who doesn't normally do Chris.
- 5:26Speaker 3: I can't remember if it's like David Baldacci or something.
- 5:29Speaker 1: It's something David Balducci. That's exactly correct.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Good job.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I could not get pulled that out of thin air, Wendy,
- 5:37Speaker 1: what you got?
- 5:39Speaker 3: Well?
- 5:39Speaker 2: This movie was filmed entirely in Connecticut, and director Dustin
- 5:45Speaker 2: Reikert shared that the movie started filming on August twenty
- 5:49Speaker 2: third and wrapped a few weeks later in September.
- 5:52Speaker 1: So many of these movies August in September. I just
- 5:55Speaker 1: I just I need one of these like late December movies.
- 5:59Speaker 1: That's filmed.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I read something the other day from our Hallmark movie
- 6:04Speaker 1: insider sleep Kitty pat on Twitter, and they said that
- 6:08Speaker 1: all of the movies had wrapped production. Oh really, yes,
- 6:14Speaker 1: but I could have sworn last year we had some
- 6:16Speaker 1: movies filming into November.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's true last year.
- 6:21Speaker 1: So we're going to get prized.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Wait, hold on. I'm kind of surprised by the Sleepy
- 6:25Speaker 2: Kitty Paw announcement thing because they were like freaking out
- 6:29Speaker 2: about the whole Iatzi strike. Now, I guess that that
- 6:32Speaker 2: could apply to like post production and whatever, and that
- 6:36Speaker 2: would have held up movies that they had already announced.
- 6:39Speaker 2: But I was under the impression that they weren't even
- 6:42Speaker 2: filmed yet, So.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I'm wrong. Uh yeah, I think the biggest concern was
- 6:48Speaker 1: with all the post production work that needs to be done,
- 6:51Speaker 1: particularly given the timeframe that they need to turn these
- 6:54Speaker 1: movies out. They don't have a ton of time to
- 6:56Speaker 1: begin with to get them edited and put together.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So what you're saying is you want like real snow
- 7:03Speaker 2: in a movie.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Well, I just we talked about this on a previous episode.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I just feel like I'm so aware of the fact
- 7:10Speaker 1: that it's hot when their coats are wide open, and
- 7:14Speaker 1: their scarves are like as loosely on their neck as
- 7:17Speaker 1: they can get them. And when you know, someone walks
- 7:21Speaker 1: outside in address and they're not obviously freezing to death.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Our January movies are likely going to be filmed in November,
- 7:29Speaker 1: so I will get that cold feeling, but I'm not
- 7:32Speaker 1: really getting it in the Christmas movies right now.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Interesting, I getch you.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Will Horton on Days of Heart Lives is played by
- 7:42Speaker 1: Chandler Massey who plays Ben Lee in this movie. And
- 7:48Speaker 1: Will Horton is Sammy, Alison Sweeney's son on the show,
- 7:52Speaker 1: so I have to wonder if she had any part
- 7:54Speaker 1: in getting him into the Hallmark universe.
- 7:57Speaker 3: So Alison Sweeney is still doing the soap operas.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Oh, yes, she's not on year round. Yeah okay, but
- 8:05Speaker 1: nobody really is. They kind of cycle the characters in
- 8:08Speaker 1: and out. Oh and so like in the summer, they'll
- 8:11Speaker 1: bring in all of the younger characters. All their storylines
- 8:13Speaker 1: will be about their younger characters. Oh, for anybody who
- 8:18Speaker 1: watched in the nineties, Marlene is possessed again, Like they
- 8:21Speaker 1: have recycled that storyline.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Me it has the inside track to Days of Our Lives.
- 8:26Speaker 2: One of her best college friends works for.
- 8:29Speaker 1: The show, and since we were in college, yes, he's
- 8:31Speaker 1: won multiple Emmys. But also, my husband is a huge
- 8:34Speaker 1: Days of Our Lives fan. Days with Me my soap opera.
- 8:37Speaker 1: But I kind of faded out, but my husband watches weekly, so.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Still that's so funny.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Still up. And I'll walk in while he's watching. I'm like, wait,
- 8:46Speaker 1: because you know you miss so much. Then I ask
- 8:48Speaker 1: a million questions. He's like, you've got to be in
- 8:50Speaker 1: or you've got to be out. I cannot catch you up.
- 8:53Speaker 2: So I had read that Chandler Massey has won three
- 9:01Speaker 2: Daytime Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Will Horton on Days.
- 9:06Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I enjoy him. Wow show six.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Times nominated for an Emmy Award, Daytime Emmy Award, and
- 9:12Speaker 2: and I read he's going to reprise his role on
- 9:15Speaker 2: the Day spinoff Beyond Salem that's on Peacock.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And my friend who works for Day sent me a
- 9:23Speaker 1: promo about that, and I was like, man, I cannot
- 9:25Speaker 1: subscribe to another service. He's like, no, no, no, this
- 9:27Speaker 1: one will be free. It's not the premium Peacock, So okay.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Erica slee Zack, and I'm saying her. I don't know
- 9:35Speaker 1: if that's actually how you pronounce her name, because when
- 9:37Speaker 1: I say Sleezach, it reminds me of that show that
- 9:40Speaker 1: used to the Sleezack.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Do you know what I'm talking about?
- 9:43Speaker 3: What was come on? It was?
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yes, with like the family that gets like stranded on
- 9:49Speaker 2: like a not an island, but like, oh my god,
- 9:53Speaker 2: hold on a second. We have talked about this a
- 9:56Speaker 2: million times.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I know what I'm talking about.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Yes, and like Will Ferrell like made like a remake
- 10:07Speaker 2: of the movie.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I feel like you're speaking a different language right now.
- 10:12Speaker 3: I'm trying to think of every Will Ferrell.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Movie Land of the Law, Yes, okay, please as wasn't
- 10:19Speaker 2: that what they're called slack monsters? I?
- 10:22Speaker 1: Yes, okay, you said you talked about this. I literally
- 10:25Speaker 1: have never spoken about Land of the Lost bit. Yes,
- 10:28Speaker 1: back in our YouTube days, Yes we did, Yes, we did. Anyway,
- 10:30Speaker 1: she has the same last name, which is kind of unfortunate,
- 10:33Speaker 1: but okay.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Anyhow, that's funny.
- 10:36Speaker 2: She played Aunt Mert and I don't know if you
- 10:39Speaker 2: recognized her face, but she also played Victoria Lord on
- 10:42Speaker 2: One Life to Live from nineteen seventy one to twenty thirteen.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Whoa time anyway, you guys honestly didn't recognize her.
- 10:50Speaker 1: That was not my soap. I have never did an
- 10:52Speaker 1: episode of One Life to Live.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Wow.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And she has won the most of Daytime Emmys than
- 10:59Speaker 2: any other drama actress.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Wow.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I can't believe you didn't know that was her.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I've never seen it, Vicky Wow. Wow.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Okay, here is another thing that really blew my mind.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Lindsay Fonseca, who played Angie, also played Ted Mosby's daughter
- 11:19Speaker 2: Penny on how I.
- 11:21Speaker 3: That's exactly. I thought she looked familiar the whole time,
- 11:25Speaker 3: and I hadn't had a chance to look her up.
- 11:27Speaker 3: She has sixty.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Five episodes between two thousand and five and twenty fourteen,
- 11:32Speaker 2: and I have to ask, do you think she receives
- 11:35Speaker 2: that syndication paycheck?
- 11:36Speaker 1: I totally hope.
- 11:37Speaker 2: So. Yeah, right, she had to sit on that couch
- 11:42Speaker 2: for six I would think I didn't recognize her. That
- 11:47Speaker 2: was just a deep dive into IMDb. But seeing like
- 11:52Speaker 2: the photos and images, I.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Was like, oh, yeah, that is for show that you
- 11:56Speaker 3: say it?
- 11:57Speaker 2: Yeah, anyway, I haven't.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Seen her in anything else. Yeah, I looked at.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Her I AMDB, and I was like, I don't know
- 12:02Speaker 2: any of these.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Like low budget movies.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Sorry, not being mean, I'm just like I'm just saying, hey, no,
- 12:10Speaker 2: I know, I know, I know. I'm not talking about
- 12:12Speaker 2: her as an actress because under my liked category, I
- 12:17Speaker 2: really liked her and I would like to see her
- 12:19Speaker 2: in more things, but I haven't seen her in anything.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So well, before we hop into our legs, let's talk
- 12:26Speaker 1: first impressions of this movie, Kelly, why don't you go first?
- 12:30Speaker 3: Okay, so, as always I really try hard to keep
- 12:35Speaker 3: my expectations low, but my husband saw that this was
- 12:39Speaker 3: Christopher Lloyd, that it was you know, had some Back
- 12:42Speaker 3: to the Future promo, so he was really excited to
- 12:45Speaker 3: watch it. I don't know, I think, I know built
- 12:49Speaker 3: it up too much and obviously it wasn't Back to
- 12:53Speaker 3: the Future themed, but at the same time, it was
- 12:57Speaker 3: fun to watch, and there was a lot of comedy,
- 13:00Speaker 3: which I really appreciated, and I thought they had some
- 13:02Speaker 3: good dramatic emotional moments. So I think overall, I think
- 13:07Speaker 3: it was a fun watch.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Wendy not enough Back to the Future easter eggs, but
- 13:15Speaker 2: overall really enjoyed it.
- 13:18Speaker 1: For me, This was like a ninety five percent really enjoyable,
- 13:22Speaker 1: and then the last five minutes, yes, ruined this movie.
- 13:26Speaker 3: What I could totally see that.
- 13:29Speaker 1: We will discuss yeah, okay, my issues, but first let's
- 13:33Speaker 1: talk about what we liked. And I am bursting to
- 13:36Speaker 1: tell you how amazing Lea Thompson's skin looked in this
- 13:39Speaker 1: entire movie.
- 13:40Speaker 2: I thought, so too, I need to see how old
- 13:43Speaker 2: she is.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Hold on, I think she's sixty.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Stop it right now.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I would like to know her.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I feel like I loved her up too.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I would like to know who does her work?
- 13:57Speaker 1: Tell me the injections you're getting.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Stop it. She is sixty years old, and man, she
- 14:04Speaker 2: still has like those cute little like dimples. I'm like, like,
- 14:09Speaker 2: I loved Leah Thompson and one of my most favorite ever,
- 14:13Speaker 2: ever ever movies is Some kind of Wonderful from nineteen
- 14:16Speaker 2: eighty seven, and like, I loved her in that. So
- 14:19Speaker 2: she does still look amazing.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Sixty years old. Damn right, Yeah, I enjoyed her. What
- 14:28Speaker 1: we what did we like in this movie?
- 14:29Speaker 3: Well, so there was a lot of, like I said,
- 14:32Speaker 3: funny moments. So one of the things I laughed really
- 14:35Speaker 3: hard about was when so Angie is trying to tell Ben,
- 14:38Speaker 3: you know some things from the future, and she says, well, today,
- 14:41Speaker 3: I remember you're gonna choke on a gum drop and
- 14:44Speaker 3: I'm gonna save you. And knowing that, I like, he
- 14:47Speaker 3: wrestles with eating it. And then later you just see
- 14:50Speaker 3: him choking like he knew, like he still chose it
- 14:54Speaker 3: to eat it. Yeah, and then I I love Chloe
- 15:01Speaker 3: as a character in general. She was just so absurd
- 15:05Speaker 3: and was just all in on the ruse of being
- 15:08Speaker 3: you know, fake boyfriend and girlfriend. And I just thought
- 15:12Speaker 3: she was a really hilarious character.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Yeah, she was funny.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I loved her when they were like exchanging presents and
- 15:18Speaker 2: she's like, oh, look at my no he gave her
- 15:20Speaker 2: a cookie and she's like, oh yeah, so providing or whatever.
- 15:24Speaker 3: She's just all in. They're like, we needed to do this,
- 15:29Speaker 3: you know this, this we got a like trick Tyler,
- 15:34Speaker 3: and she's just all on board, like no questions asked.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Like I said, really liked the lead actress, Lindsay Fonseca,
- 15:41Speaker 2: And I have a super hard time seeing her last name.
- 15:43Speaker 2: I always have to like look at it before I
- 15:45Speaker 2: say it. Anyway, I loved her. I thought she was
- 15:49Speaker 2: so great, a super natural actress that was likable, pretty
- 15:54Speaker 2: to look at, Like, I did you like her, Megan?
- 15:58Speaker 3: I loved her.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Yeah, she was.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Great and I would love to see her in more
- 16:03Speaker 2: Hallmark movies. But that's why I wonder. I was like,
- 16:06Speaker 2: I wonder, is she just making so much money from
- 16:09Speaker 2: her syndication checks from how I met my mother that
- 16:11Speaker 2: this is just like I'm just gonna take this and
- 16:14Speaker 2: that and whatever, you know, like it's not like real
- 16:18Speaker 2: work to her.
- 16:19Speaker 1: You know, I don't know. I mean she's young regardless,
- 16:24Speaker 1: so even if she's raking in that steady income, I
- 16:26Speaker 1: would imagine she still wants to be working and make
- 16:29Speaker 1: a name for herself, not as just like this nameless
- 16:33Speaker 1: faith on a couch. I enjoyed her, and I think
- 16:35Speaker 1: she could easily be the kind of person who is
- 16:38Speaker 1: a regular on Hallmark movies.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so too.
- 16:42Speaker 2: And what I think she kind of has like the
- 16:45Speaker 2: package to me, like she's funny, she can do funny.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I just liked her overall, Like you can tell on
- 16:51Speaker 2: some actresses like can't really pull off like the funny
- 16:54Speaker 2: stuff right. Anyway, I really liked her.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of Christopher Lloyd
- 17:04Speaker 1: we got in this movie. I had worried that they
- 17:06Speaker 1: had just played up the promo of him selling her
- 17:08Speaker 1: that meeting today, and that was all we were going
- 17:10Speaker 1: to get.
- 17:12Speaker 2: The Jason Hervey role. Yes, yeah, you thought it would
- 17:15Speaker 2: be just little.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yes, But I was pleasantly surprised to see that he
- 17:19Speaker 1: played a role throughout. You know, I wish they had
- 17:22Speaker 1: given him more to say, because he didn't really do
- 17:24Speaker 1: much except to say like, I can't tell you anything,
- 17:27Speaker 1: I can't say anything to you. But I was happy
- 17:30Speaker 1: to see him throughout. It just felt comforting to see
- 17:33Speaker 1: him on that train. I enjoyed that. And I really
- 17:39Speaker 1: loved the IVF infertility storyline, and especially the scene toward
- 17:45Speaker 1: the end of the movie with the two sisters laying
- 17:47Speaker 1: on the head when her sister tells her that they're
- 17:52Speaker 1: not going to continue and she says, we're just tired
- 17:57Speaker 1: and started crying, and yes, that felt very real. I
- 18:02Speaker 1: thought they did a great job with that subject.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Yeah, that was on my list too, and I was like,
- 18:09Speaker 3: oh man, I'm going to like tear up trying to
- 18:12Speaker 3: say that that's one of my favorite because then, yeah,
- 18:17Speaker 3: Angie says, you know, I know, like the future, and
- 18:21Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, I you know, like just for her
- 18:25Speaker 3: to hear that, I'm like, oh, I bet that, just
- 18:27Speaker 3: like it just felt so real.
- 18:29Speaker 2: So yeah, I do love when they do these time
- 18:32Speaker 2: travel movies that the person who's actually from the future says, Hey,
- 18:36Speaker 2: look like I'm going to tell you what's gonna happen,
- 18:38Speaker 2: and like that's always like funny as like a viewer
- 18:41Speaker 2: like oh, yeah, yeah that football game that they won
- 18:43Speaker 2: or you know whatever. I love when they do that.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Yeah, Wendy, did you like anything else about this movie?
- 18:51Speaker 2: Yeah, a couple of things. I really enjoyed that the
- 18:54Speaker 2: story didn't rely heavily on a romance. It was more
- 18:57Speaker 2: about like Angie trying to figure out why she was
- 19:00Speaker 2: chosen to go into pass and then like what she
- 19:03Speaker 2: needed to kind of like repair and she was like,
- 19:05Speaker 2: you know, headed down the wrong path of like you know,
- 19:09Speaker 2: because she thought she had to like say yes to
- 19:10Speaker 2: Tyler or whatever. But you know, it was more about
- 19:13Speaker 2: like reuniting her family and like healing like that.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Part of it.
- 19:18Speaker 2: That's what I really enjoyed about this movie. There was
- 19:22Speaker 2: one scene that I really enjoyed and it was when
- 19:25Speaker 2: they went to go like throw snowballs at each other,
- 19:28Speaker 2: and then Tyler throws the first snowball and her ring
- 19:32Speaker 2: box is in the side the snowball. I was like,
- 19:35Speaker 2: that is so clever. Now, maybe it's because I've never
- 19:38Speaker 2: seen a million Hallmark movies, but I thought somebody had
- 19:42Speaker 2: a really good idea there.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I had thought that was super well executed. I did
- 19:46Speaker 1: not see that coming at all. And even though I
- 19:48Speaker 1: didn't want him to propose, I was like, that's real cute. Yeah,
- 19:51Speaker 1: I thought it was really cute.
- 19:53Speaker 2: But in that same scene, like right after that, he's like,
- 19:55Speaker 2: let's go, it's freezing out here. Yeah, Demi, you guys
- 19:57Speaker 2: are in the snow like you're to throw snow at
- 20:01Speaker 2: each other, Like why are you leaving now? I don't understand.
- 20:04Speaker 2: But and the last thing that I really like there
- 20:07Speaker 2: is I said at the beginning that there wasn't enough
- 20:10Speaker 2: back to the future like Easter eggs or like little
- 20:15Speaker 2: but they were very small little winks towards Back to
- 20:18Speaker 2: the Future that I liked. One the vanishing ticket looked
- 20:22Speaker 2: like Marty's family photo was blurred out, and her reuniting
- 20:29Speaker 2: her parents on their first date which is very similar
- 20:32Speaker 2: to like what Marty tries to do to get like
- 20:36Speaker 2: his mom and dad back together at the dance or whatever.
- 20:40Speaker 2: And then at the very end when the train goes
- 20:45Speaker 2: back to the future like explodes or not. The train
- 20:49Speaker 2: doesn't explode, but it like it blows into a time
- 20:51Speaker 2: warp or whatever. And I kind of gave like the
- 20:54Speaker 2: same vibes like when the Deloreum goes. Yeah, but you know,
- 20:58Speaker 2: it was very small. I just wish it was more,
- 21:01Speaker 2: but but I appreciated it.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Yeah, and he's on a train at the end of
- 21:06Speaker 1: Back to the Future three. So yeah, but that movie
- 21:08Speaker 1: was terrible.
- 21:10Speaker 3: That's the Western themed one. Yes, yes, yeah, it's.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Awful, awful. I wish there was a whole like onegats
- 21:19Speaker 2: or something crazy like that would have made me just
- 21:23Speaker 2: laugh out loud and appreciate that as a you know,
- 21:26Speaker 2: child of the eighties.
- 21:27Speaker 1: But yeah, I know I was. I was waiting for
- 21:30Speaker 1: a direct a direct line. But I thought it was
- 21:34Speaker 1: a sweet almost tribute to that movie. Well, speaking of
- 21:39Speaker 1: things we wished for, Kelly, what did you wish for
- 21:41Speaker 1: in this movie?
- 21:42Speaker 3: Well, I'm the guess that I've got the same one
- 21:44Speaker 3: as you. I wish that Ben didn't wait ten years
- 21:48Speaker 3: to propose.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Yes, well, that is just the very tip of the
- 21:54Speaker 1: iceberg of my issues with Yeah, end of this movie,
- 21:58Speaker 1: and I don't know where to put this, but since
- 21:59Speaker 1: we're talking about it now, I'm going to discuss the
- 22:01Speaker 1: fact that all of a sudden, she's got to go
- 22:04Speaker 1: back in time right now, right now, right now, they
- 22:06Speaker 1: cannot get together, and she says, meet me in ten years.
- 22:10Speaker 1: First of all, excuse me, who thinks, Okay, I'm just
- 22:14Speaker 1: gonna wait for you?
- 22:16Speaker 3: Right?
- 22:16Speaker 1: We had this happen in another movie. Last year Christmas
- 22:19Speaker 1: comes twice and I guess he does wait for her.
- 22:22Speaker 1: But anyway, then fast forward and it turns out they've
- 22:26Speaker 1: been in a relationship. She changed history. That does not
- 22:30Speaker 1: make sense to me. He doesn't remember her going back
- 22:33Speaker 1: in time. Yeah, so somehow she changed his What that
- 22:37Speaker 1: doesn't make sense. That's not how time travel works. It
- 22:39Speaker 1: doesn't like all of that's.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Not how works. Right, But when she leaves.
- 22:47Speaker 1: She says, wait for me. But apparently that just completely
- 22:50Speaker 1: changed the past. And they get together in this moment
- 22:54Speaker 1: and they've been together, and the only way they retcon
- 22:57Speaker 1: that is by her going, oh, I remember now right, yes,
- 23:01Speaker 1: proposed what no? The end? Yeah, make me believe it.
- 23:10Speaker 1: There has to be a better way to solve these
- 23:13Speaker 1: time travel issues, like why could they not have kissed?
- 23:16Speaker 1: And then she has to get on the train and
- 23:18Speaker 1: then fast forward and then all of a sudden, yes,
- 23:21Speaker 1: we have been together and they have like their baby
- 23:26Speaker 1: and the new pasin right at the family Christmas.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that would make much more sense because the other
- 23:35Speaker 3: the other thing that was weird is that she still
- 23:37Speaker 3: wasn't going home for Christmas. I mean, I guess they
- 23:40Speaker 3: were the next day, but it still seemed like, you're right,
- 23:44Speaker 3: not still up workaholic or whatever, and yeah, it was
- 23:47Speaker 3: still working Christmas Eve.
- 23:48Speaker 1: And I didn't understand that. In the beginning of the movie,
- 23:51Speaker 1: she goes to the train station to go home, she
- 23:55Speaker 1: comes back on the train, and then she just goes
- 24:00Speaker 1: back to work. Yeah, and then they're like, why aren't
- 24:04Speaker 1: you coming home? She just did like you were coming home.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I don't understand the timeline here, how she was able
- 24:10Speaker 1: to go home but be on call. I'm okay, there
- 24:16Speaker 1: were some issues.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like they just kind of like mashed
- 24:20Speaker 2: it all up at the end, and we're just supposed
- 24:22Speaker 2: to be like, oh okay, she's back and everybody's happy.
- 24:25Speaker 3: You know.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it was weird.
- 24:26Speaker 3: It was a weird ending.
- 24:29Speaker 1: What did you wish for Wendy?
- 24:31Speaker 2: Well, I didn't like how she's like, I love you,
- 24:33Speaker 2: been like now she just realizes that she loves him, Like,
- 24:38Speaker 2: I just don't. I didn't know.
- 24:42Speaker 1: No, I know. The sister's like, well we've all known it. Okay,
- 24:46Speaker 1: Well that doesn't I mean, maybe her feelings need time
- 24:49Speaker 1: to develop now that she's looking at him as someone
- 24:51Speaker 1: she might be interested in, right, because.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Yeah, if she hasn't seen him intent what I This
- 24:58Speaker 2: is hard to make my brain wrap around. But yeah,
- 25:01Speaker 2: I just don't like it. Also, I didn't think that
- 25:03Speaker 2: Ben and Angie had a ton of chemistry. Like I
- 25:06Speaker 2: don't totally believe them as like a present day couple.
- 25:10Speaker 3: There wasn't a lot of like romance element of this movie,
- 25:14Speaker 3: so them being together was only based on what we
- 25:17Speaker 3: know is that their lifetime of friendship, So right.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I bought them as like these childhood best friends
- 25:24Speaker 1: who have like all this shared history and a close
- 25:28Speaker 1: maybe brother sister type BoNT. Yeah, but yeah, I wasn't
- 25:32Speaker 1: like looking deep into their eyes thinking this was true love.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Well, and I actually, like, you know, when in the
- 25:39Speaker 3: beginning of the movie where she's talking about Tyler, I
- 25:43Speaker 3: hadn't like looked that much at any of the promos
- 25:46Speaker 3: or anything with the leads, and I'm like, is this
- 25:50Speaker 3: the guy that she's spoke like? I didn't actually know,
- 25:54Speaker 3: And then I looked it up and I'm like, oh,
- 25:56Speaker 3: she is supposed to be with Ben and I yeah,
- 25:59Speaker 3: So I was kind of confused at the beginning of
- 26:02Speaker 3: where they were going to go with that story.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Yeah, when they were showing him Tyler on the news,
- 26:10Speaker 1: I was like, wait, I got a little confused to
- 26:12Speaker 1: I had from who.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Because Tyler doesn't look like he has the look of
- 26:17Speaker 3: like the boy that's going to get dumped. So I
- 26:19Speaker 3: was really confused. And it wasn't until you know, and
- 26:26Speaker 3: then when she gets like pushed into Ben's lap when
- 26:29Speaker 3: he's Santa, I'm like, wait, is she supposed to end
- 26:31Speaker 3: up with this guy?
- 26:32Speaker 2: Then?
- 26:33Speaker 1: So that was me too.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I was Likeay, where did this guy come from? Yeahah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I wish there was a better understanding of why her
- 26:42Speaker 2: parents weren't connecting anymore. It was just like they were
- 26:46Speaker 2: either they were divorced right in the present day, but
- 26:51Speaker 2: like never really understood why, like had they just grown
- 26:55Speaker 2: apart since their kids had grown up?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Yes, I understood. Man, that hit me really hard.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Oh sorry, I didn't I needed more. I mean it's
- 27:05Speaker 2: actually like that storyline. I was like, give me more
- 27:08Speaker 2: of that.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they talked about, you know, like we
- 27:11Speaker 1: just don't really have any shared interests. And I guess
- 27:14Speaker 1: they just, you know, once their kids were older, they
- 27:17Speaker 1: didn't have all this forced togetherness and they just hadn't
- 27:20Speaker 1: made an effort to kind of find each other again,
- 27:24Speaker 1: and they I felt like they just drifted apart, not
- 27:26Speaker 1: that they didn't love each other, just that they kind
- 27:28Speaker 1: of stopped trying.
- 27:32Speaker 2: And yeah, but why would the dad move to Arizona?
- 27:36Speaker 2: Like there was never any indication of like why he
- 27:38Speaker 2: was unhappy in Connecticut or wherever they're supposed to be living. Yeah,
- 27:44Speaker 2: I don't know whatever. I mean, it was such a
- 27:46Speaker 2: side storyline, like of course it doesn't have to be
- 27:49Speaker 2: totally like flushed out, but whatever.
- 27:53Speaker 1: I wish that one of these families could say, Huh,
- 27:58Speaker 1: our child has a very big life and it is
- 28:01Speaker 1: very hard for them to travel home for our traditional things. Yes,
- 28:05Speaker 1: maybe those of us with nothing but time on our
- 28:07Speaker 1: hands could get on a train and travel to visit them.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, yeah, yeah. It's like, why are they giving
- 28:14Speaker 2: her such a hard time. She's a busy doctor. She's
- 28:17Speaker 2: a busy surgeon, you know, so do guilt her.
- 28:21Speaker 3: That was on my list too, and I wasn't sure
- 28:23Speaker 3: which category. But my sister is currently in her first
- 28:27Speaker 3: year of residency to be a surgeon, and so the
- 28:31Speaker 3: year for them starts July one, and she had to
- 28:35Speaker 3: pick for her four weeks of vacation for the year,
- 28:38Speaker 3: like in early June of this year. So and then
- 28:43Speaker 3: she's like, I think she gets a day off a
- 28:46Speaker 3: week And I'm like thinking, this girl, you know, Angie
- 28:50Speaker 3: is probably still in residency or if she went straight
- 28:53Speaker 3: through like just done. It's so I'm like, no, she
- 28:58Speaker 3: doesn't get to come home. You know. She gets it's
- 29:00Speaker 3: the schedule. She get like, we're celebrating with my sister
- 29:02Speaker 3: like the week after Thanksgiving because that was the closest
- 29:05Speaker 3: week she could get.
- 29:07Speaker 2: So yeah, and are you giving her a hard time
- 29:10Speaker 2: about it?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Or do you actually understand?
- 29:12Speaker 3: Yeah, We're like, okay, what day can you pick? We'll
- 29:14Speaker 3: all accommodate because our schedules are all more flexible. Yeah right,
- 29:18Speaker 3: I know. I didn't.
- 29:19Speaker 2: I didn't like the guilt that they were giving her.
- 29:21Speaker 2: And the sister especially was like, well you would know
- 29:23Speaker 2: if you called or whatever, Like, I.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Just eat that.
- 29:27Speaker 3: I know, Mike. Sorry, she's working sixteen hour days, just
- 29:30Speaker 3: trying to like do her dream job.
- 29:32Speaker 1: It's time for did you see that where we discuss
- 29:35Speaker 1: things that made us laugh, plot holes, questions we have
- 29:41Speaker 1: I loved there's a early in the movie. They're in
- 29:45Speaker 1: the o R there's Christmas music and one of the
- 29:48Speaker 1: other doctors says, I thought it would put us in
- 29:49Speaker 1: the Christmas mood, and Angie goes, wait, so I didn't
- 29:54Speaker 1: even her name? Did I just make that handy? Angie
- 29:58Speaker 1: goes to the season for miracle and it's just such
- 30:00Speaker 1: a throwaway line, but she like delivers it perfectly. It
- 30:03Speaker 1: made me laugh. I thought, I know exactly who this
- 30:06Speaker 1: person is.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, So I have just like a heading
- 30:10Speaker 3: of Tyler and then a bunch of things underneath him. Oh,
- 30:13Speaker 3: let's hear it. So he had in the scene where
- 30:17Speaker 3: they're going home, you know, they flash back and he's
- 30:20Speaker 3: wearing like a mustard gold turtleneck and it's tucked in.
- 30:26Speaker 3: That should have been our clue that he's not the
- 30:28Speaker 3: right person for her, but I still didn't know.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I think they struggled with aging their clothes tends right,
- 30:36Speaker 1: But yes, even fashion not that much different twenty twenty one.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Exactly, especially for what well. And then so then his
- 30:45Speaker 3: pants later they're like, I mean, I think that short
- 30:49Speaker 3: ankle length pants are in now for men, but those
- 30:52Speaker 3: just did not well, they wouldn't have been in twenty eleven,
- 30:55Speaker 3: and they were just I don't know, I don't think
- 30:57Speaker 3: they were the right type of ankle length pants.
- 31:00Speaker 2: The snow in the snow, I was he wearing socks
- 31:05Speaker 2: or was he not?
- 31:06Speaker 1: I don't think so, like loafers with.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Yes. And then the way that he pets that little
- 31:14Speaker 3: bulldog when he comes in, he just kind of like
- 31:18Speaker 3: taps him on the head. That was that was great.
- 31:23Speaker 2: For me. Eric his name is Eric Freeman Tyler. He
- 31:26Speaker 2: was a straight up baby version of Adrian Greneer.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Like him. Yeah, my husband said he looked like him.
- 31:35Speaker 3: And who was the other person? Oh, he said he
- 31:37Speaker 3: looked like if Pete Davidson and if they could all
- 31:41Speaker 3: be brothers like they all have varying face facial features together.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I agree. I agree.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I didn't really like him, like he was not him
- 31:53Speaker 2: as an actor. His character was kind of douchey, like
- 31:56Speaker 2: I just didn't like the whole like sports guy I.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Don't know well. And this is one of my biggest
- 32:02Speaker 1: problems with Hallmark movies when they have the relationship that's
- 32:05Speaker 1: not gonna work out, is they always have to make
- 32:09Speaker 1: the partner that's going away kind of a villain. And
- 32:13Speaker 1: sometimes relationships end and people aren't bad. Like, you can
- 32:17Speaker 1: have a relationship that doesn't work out and neither person
- 32:20Speaker 1: has to be an asshole for that to be the case. Yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 1: like it didn't have to be. Hey, we gotta go,
- 32:26Speaker 1: like ditch your family on Christmas. And I'm kind of
- 32:29Speaker 1: this like a big shot sportscaster. By the way, I
- 32:32Speaker 1: don't think those two that phrase big shot sports casters
- 32:35Speaker 1: really well.
- 32:36Speaker 2: I mean, unless you're like I can't nobody even comes
- 32:41Speaker 2: to mind. We watch a lot of sports around here,
- 32:42Speaker 2: and I can't even remember, Like I can't even name
- 32:45Speaker 2: what a big shot sportscaster, right, Yeah, it's not I Yeah,
- 32:50Speaker 2: it's not like he's on the local news and he
- 32:52Speaker 2: would be like huge, Like who is Like I can't
- 32:55Speaker 2: even who hosts the Olympics, Like can you name somebody?
- 33:00Speaker 1: I mean since Bob cost Us, I don't know.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a problematic, but yeah, Andrew was on FaceTime
- 33:06Speaker 2: in the locker room.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Yes, I had that down too.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Yeah, look everyone was dressed. But no, you don't know
- 33:13Speaker 1: that beyond face time in the locker room. She should
- 33:16Speaker 1: go without saying.
- 33:18Speaker 3: I don't know if you.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Guys noticed this, but there's two scenes where they're at
- 33:21Speaker 2: the restaurant. At the very beginning when she she and
- 33:23Speaker 2: her friend go out for a drink, like her coworker
- 33:26Speaker 2: and her go out for a drink, and then at
- 33:27Speaker 2: the end when she meets beIN there's a restaurant menu
- 33:32Speaker 2: board out front and it's blurry, blurred. It's blood word
- 33:37Speaker 2: except for like icy bolonnaise is the only word that
- 33:41Speaker 2: I see.
- 33:42Speaker 3: But I was like, that's bizarre.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Why did they do that? Like, okay, so maybe it's
- 33:47Speaker 2: an Italian restaurant, but I.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Don't why why? Yeah, could they not have put something
- 33:54Speaker 1: over the menu board or created their own in props?
- 33:57Speaker 1: How much could this have cost? Or moved it? If
- 33:59Speaker 1: it was problematic in some way. Yeah, so bizarre. I'm
- 34:04Speaker 1: also in that restaurant when she walks in at the
- 34:07Speaker 1: end of the movie and they're closing early. He's like, yeah,
- 34:10Speaker 1: Christmas Eve not a busy time. No, No, Christmas Eve
- 34:13Speaker 1: pretty busy time for restaurants.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, I think so too.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Yeah, weird.
- 34:19Speaker 3: It must have been midnight when she got there.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yeah, at the end and closing early. But there's a
- 34:25Speaker 1: restaurant that was here from my parents house that does
- 34:26Speaker 1: a Christmas Eve dinner and they have this people line
- 34:30Speaker 1: up out the door to make their reservations when they
- 34:32Speaker 1: become available, and they take one person from the line
- 34:36Speaker 1: and one person on the phone and one person from
- 34:39Speaker 1: So no Christmas Eve, pretty big deal.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Okay, kid the nephew, Yeah Rick Henrick, Yeah, I've never
- 34:51Speaker 2: well I think I have heard that name before, but
- 34:53Speaker 2: Henrick as a twenty twenty one.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Kid named nope eleven.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Right, you're right, But like that's somebody's like kid's name
- 35:06Speaker 2: who wrote the script? Right, Like, yeah, Hendrick's in here,
- 35:10Speaker 2: yea Hendrick And Vanessa Vanessa's another like kind.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Of that was is that what the baby's name?
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yeah, Vanessa. These are just names you don't hear no,
- 35:21Speaker 2: at least I don't hear them. I thought it was weird.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I have here. I need to mention it again. Ben
- 35:26Speaker 1: is supposed to wait ten years. Yes, just marinate on that.
- 35:30Speaker 3: I don't.
- 35:32Speaker 1: That's some real positive self talk when you're like, yeah,
- 35:34Speaker 1: this dude's gonna wait ten years for me.
- 35:36Speaker 2: No, okay, But so in his mind, does he just
- 35:39Speaker 2: have like this little like voice in the back of
- 35:42Speaker 2: his head that says, wait ten years, wait ten years,
- 35:44Speaker 2: like he's turning a blind eye to every other attractive
- 35:48Speaker 2: woman he sees or meets.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Or because somehow they magically have changed history and now
- 35:53Speaker 1: all of a sudden they've been together for the past
- 35:55Speaker 1: ten years.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't understand.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Because after she leaves on the train twenty eleven, Angie
- 36:02Speaker 3: would arguably pop up. Yeah, you know, right after she leaves,
- 36:09Speaker 3: knowing none of this but still figured it out.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Look, time trouble confuses me. I will admit I'm in
- 36:15Speaker 1: a movie sometimes like wait, wait, I get very confused
- 36:18Speaker 1: about and now this is all supposed to work, But
- 36:20Speaker 1: it seems to me like if you go back to
- 36:24Speaker 1: the future, now we go back in time, like the
- 36:27Speaker 1: things that you do while you were in time like
- 36:30Speaker 1: obviously her parents are still together, right right, So like
- 36:34Speaker 1: some of the changes she made stuck people.
- 36:36Speaker 3: And Ben chose the right law career. Yeah his law career, Yeah, yes.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Yes he remembered that. So how did they not remember?
- 36:46Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Okay, what else did we see?
- 36:49Speaker 3: I don't know, like New York City that well? But
- 36:52Speaker 3: I feel like and we kind of touched on this
- 36:54Speaker 3: feels like Yonkers is too far away to be on call,
- 36:57Speaker 3: like she'd probably have to like sleep at the hospital.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Yes for sure, Like if it's a long train ride
- 37:04Speaker 1: beall as a surgeon, that person's dead.
- 37:07Speaker 3: I know, Like I'm like, I feel like they're not.
- 37:10Speaker 3: She's not going to be able to do a good
- 37:12Speaker 3: job there.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Yes, I loved Angie's two dresses that she wore. It
- 37:19Speaker 2: was a strapless burgundy at the party at Antmert's party,
- 37:23Speaker 2: and then at the very end the one shoulder green dress. Yes,
- 37:26Speaker 2: I love them both.
- 37:28Speaker 1: So that pretty lots of one shoulder dresses. Did you
- 37:32Speaker 1: buy her mom's dress as the thirty five year old style?
- 37:38Speaker 2: No?
- 37:38Speaker 3: No, no, no, I had that down my list.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Did you say, toga?
- 37:42Speaker 3: That's what it looks like. It was a.
- 37:46Speaker 2: It had a Grecian vibe for sure.
- 37:48Speaker 1: But I thought it was very pretty on her. Actually,
- 37:50Speaker 1: I thought she looked great, But I was like, this
- 37:52Speaker 1: is this was not a thirty five. We need a
- 37:54Speaker 1: puff sleeve?
- 37:55Speaker 3: What exactly?
- 37:56Speaker 2: Yes, she needed a Jessica mcclint.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Yes, a level skirt. Yeah, like a black velvet top
- 38:04Speaker 1: with a plaid skirt on the bottom. Yes, owned that dress.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Guys, they could have made that cute though.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Fourth great, Yes, they could have totally made that.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah that was weird.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Who has a thirty five year old dress just hanging
- 38:19Speaker 2: in the closet. It's not like shoved in the back.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Yeah, and it doesn't have like plastic over it or
- 38:24Speaker 1: something it covered in dust. Okay, Kelly, what did you
- 38:29Speaker 1: rate this movie?
- 38:31Speaker 3: So it's out a four?
- 38:32Speaker 2: Right?
- 38:32Speaker 3: Yes, Okay, I think I'm gonna give it a three.
- 38:36Speaker 1: All right, Wendy.
- 38:38Speaker 2: I thought I gave it a solid three point five
- 38:40Speaker 2: and I would definitely watch it again.
- 38:42Speaker 3: WHOA, I know, I don't know what's happen on homework.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Look at last night I laid in bed and I
- 38:50Speaker 2: watched a shoot Attex Christmas from like two years ago.
- 38:53Speaker 1: So I don't know what is going on?
- 38:55Speaker 2: Mean, has brains.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Gosh, yes, you watched multiple movies this weekend and that
- 39:00Speaker 1: I did not need to review he did. Wow, I'm
- 39:05Speaker 1: really waffling. I'm going to give it the benefit of
- 39:08Speaker 1: the dow and give it three stars. I'm very tempted
- 39:10Speaker 1: to give it two and a half because the ending
- 39:12Speaker 1: has lost me. Yeah, process of watching, but the ending
- 39:16Speaker 1: doesn't make sense. It doesn't. I liked it, get fun.
- 39:21Speaker 1: I thought it was fun too, But we're just supposed
- 39:23Speaker 1: to forget everything that happened in favor of this happy
- 39:26Speaker 1: ending proposal. And I'm strolling with that.
- 39:29Speaker 3: And I think they wanted to use that jewelry box,
- 39:33Speaker 3: like that was why they did it that way, so
- 39:34Speaker 3: we could see him propose with that jewelry box. But
- 39:37Speaker 3: I just feel like you.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Happy anniversary gift in that jewey ways around.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 39:44Speaker 1: They could have already been engaged. Friends. Next week we
- 39:48Speaker 1: have opened By Christmas, starring Allison Sweeney. This is the
- 39:53Speaker 1: secret Admirer letter that is found. We have my Family
- 39:58Speaker 1: Christmas Tree. Wendy's not looking forward to this, although Andrew
- 40:03Speaker 1: Walker isn't it. It also starts Amy T. Garden, who Wendy
- 40:06Speaker 1: struggled with in a New Year's resolution.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Yeah, but I like Andrew Walker so right, and hold on,
- 40:14Speaker 2: I saw commercial this week and too, and I didn't
- 40:16Speaker 2: realize this, but like it's a DNA thing, but it's
- 40:20Speaker 2: maybe like a little bit of a mess up DNA thing.
- 40:22Speaker 2: So I'm intrigued.
- 40:25Speaker 3: I'm intrigued.
- 40:26Speaker 1: We also have Holiday Harlem, excuse me, a Holiday in
- 40:31Speaker 1: Harlem and this one we've got Grandmamma Bell who expects
- 40:37Speaker 1: presence over presents, and I'm already getting like irritated family
- 40:43Speaker 1: expectation feelings from this movie. I think a Holiday in
- 40:48Speaker 1: Harlem was actually filmed in Connecticut. We've got some big ones.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Make sure to hop on over to Megan and Wendy
- 40:55Speaker 1: LSS later this week to vote on the movie that
- 41:00Speaker 1: you were hoping to see us review next week. And Kellie,
- 41:03Speaker 1: where can people find you?
- 41:06Speaker 3: So? I'm on Instagram at Hallmarks, the spot all one Word,
- 41:10Speaker 3: and then my website where I do recaps of every
- 41:14Speaker 3: movie at least during the Christmas season hallmarksispot dot com.
- 41:19Speaker 2: I have a question, of the movies that we've seen
- 41:21Speaker 2: so far, which one has been your most favorite?
- 41:26Speaker 3: Oh, so this is hard. I actually really like Christmas
- 41:31Speaker 3: and Harmony last week. I liked all the music. I
- 41:35Speaker 3: like the song at the end, so I feel like, actually, no,
- 41:38Speaker 3: you know what, I think. Christmas Sale is my favorite
- 41:40Speaker 3: so far.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Wasn't it good?
- 41:42Speaker 1: It was so good. I actually have some catching up
- 41:46Speaker 1: to do. I have not watched all of the movies
- 41:48Speaker 1: that have been released yet this season. Christmas Sale is
- 41:53Speaker 1: my favorite. Two Wendy, which is number one for you?
- 41:56Speaker 2: Uh, probably Christmas Sale so far? And then from what's remaining?
- 42:01Speaker 2: CALLI which one are you looking forward to?
- 42:05Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to There's one with the Williams sisters.
- 42:10Speaker 3: Oh so that one, the sister Swap. I think that
- 42:12Speaker 3: one will be really fun. And then Chris Palaha is
- 42:15Speaker 3: in like a Dickens of a holiday and I don't
- 42:19Speaker 3: know if that's like Christmas Carol themed or what, but
- 42:22Speaker 3: I like him. I like Charles Dickens. I think that'll
- 42:24Speaker 3: be cute.
- 42:25Speaker 1: There's a lot for her to look forward to. There is, yeah, yeah,
- 42:28Speaker 1: all the big names are still coming, the least the
- 42:31Speaker 1: Candice the Tyler.
- 42:32Speaker 3: So oh yeah, Tyler is of course, I'm looking forward
- 42:35Speaker 3: to his. And did you go without saying haircut?
- 42:38Speaker 1: Did you see he's got a haircut?
- 42:42Speaker 3: I think I like the scruffy face better, but it's
- 42:46Speaker 3: it's still good.
- 42:47Speaker 1: I'm just glad he kind of like shook things up
- 42:50Speaker 1: a little bit from his from his Eddie Monster look.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Yeah, because he's been in I guess he hasn't been
- 42:56Speaker 2: in quite a few. He's been in what two movies
- 42:58Speaker 2: this year?
- 42:59Speaker 1: That seems a lot.
- 43:00Speaker 2: I mean maybe the last Christmas He's in the twelve
- 43:02Speaker 2: date of Christmas. And then I think you have Roadhouse Romance, So.
- 43:05Speaker 1: He's man, sweet Carolina, Oh, you're right, it's been in
- 43:08Speaker 1: three what.
- 43:09Speaker 3: It was always you with Aaron crackout. Oh yes, he's.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Been in a ton of movies this year. So yeah,
- 43:16Speaker 2: I like that he you know, shook up his look
- 43:18Speaker 2: a little bit. We're not gonna get the same look
- 43:20Speaker 2: from him, so yeah.
