- 0:00Speaker 1: The three things you need to know.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Just after 6 o'clock on this Thursday morning, starting a
- 0:06Speaker 2: brand new day.
- 0:06Speaker 3: We're glad you're here.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Ricky's got those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 0:10Speaker 4: Whitney Lovett's husband, Connor, is going to be on Dancing
- 0:13Speaker 4: with the Stars. Whitney and her husband, Connor, are both
- 0:16Speaker 4: known for being part of the TV show Secret Lives
- 0:18Speaker 4: of Mormon Wives. And Whitney was actually on the last
- 0:20Speaker 4: season of Dancing with the Stars. So she'll have some
- 0:22Speaker 4: great advice for her husband this season. Season 35 of
- 0:26Speaker 4: Dancing with the Stars airs September 15th. Other cast members
- 0:29Speaker 4: include Tyler Cameron from The Bachelorette, Julia Stiles, who you
- 0:34Speaker 4: know from the movie Save the Last Dance, Taylor Hansen
- 0:38Speaker 4: from the band Hansen, and a bunch more. They announced
- 0:41Speaker 4: everybody that's going to be on the show officially and finally, which,
- 0:44Speaker 4: like I said, you can check out September 15th. We
- 0:47Speaker 4: are currently in a heat advisory yet again. The advisory
- 0:51Speaker 4: went into effect yesterday afternoon, and it's going to stay
- 0:54Speaker 4: that way through 8 p.m.
- 0:55Speaker 5: Tomorrow.
- 0:56Speaker 4: We're looking at a heat index values of up to
- 0:58Speaker 4: 109 degrees, which means that while it may not say
- 1:02Speaker 4: on your phone that it's 109 degrees, it will feel
- 1:05Speaker 4: like 109 degrees, which is really all that matters when
- 1:08Speaker 4: it comes down to it. So you know the drill,
- 1:11Speaker 4: but I have to say this. Drink lots of water, more.
- 1:15Speaker 5: Than what you think is enough.
- 1:17Speaker 4: Limit your time outside if you can. If you can't,
- 1:20Speaker 4: make sure you get some time in the shade. Check
- 1:22Speaker 4: on infants and the elderly a bunch because they are
- 1:25Speaker 4: the most vulnerable right now. If you have pets, be
- 1:28Speaker 4: careful of their paws on the concrete. And please do
- 1:31Speaker 4: not leave them outside. for long periods of time because
- 1:34Speaker 4: it is just too hot, okay? So please, please, please
- 1:38Speaker 4: stay safe. It's really important that you do that because
- 1:41Speaker 4: these heat advisories are coming more and more and more
- 1:44Speaker 4: and more. It's really getting scary out there. And Dunkin',
- 1:48Speaker 4: they're giving away free pumpkin spice lattes next week to
- 1:51Speaker 4: celebrate fall. You can get a free hot or iced
- 1:55Speaker 4: pumpkin spice latte from Dunkin' with any qualifying purchase on
- 1:58Speaker 4: September 8th from.
- 2:00Speaker 5: 2 to 6 p.m.
- 2:01Speaker 4: You know what I always say, if it's free, it's
- 2:03Speaker 4: for me, so I had to share that one with you.
- 2:05Speaker 4: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 2:07Speaker 4: need to know.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Appreciate it.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Thank you, Rick.
- 2:09Speaker 3: You're getting back into the music with Zara Larson.
- 2:11Speaker 2: We've got more tickets for Disney on Ice coming in
- 2:14Speaker 2: about seven minutes. We've had them all week for the
- 2:15Speaker 2: first caller of the day. If you want them, don't
- 2:18Speaker 2: move a muscle. Stay with us. They're on the way.
- 2:20Speaker 2: We'll ask you to call in about seven minutes here
- 2:22Speaker 2: on The River.
- 2:23Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Closer on the river.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Ricky, did you hear Halsey just did like a version
- 2:28Speaker 2: of that song?
- 2:29Speaker 3: It was like a rock version with No Chance. Yes,
- 2:30Speaker 3: and it's so good. Yeah, it was great.
- 2:33Speaker 2: We're saying good morning to Jamie and Old Hickory.
- 2:35Speaker 3: What are you up to, Jamie?
- 2:37Speaker 1: I'm just listening to you guys like I do every morning.
- 2:39Speaker 5: You're so sweet. Yes, my girl.
- 2:42Speaker 6: Every morning.
- 2:43Speaker 5: We love to hear that.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yes, ma'am.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Y'all get my day started, right?
- 2:47Speaker 3: Oh, that's so nice.
- 2:48Speaker 2: It's nice to have you here with us, then. You're
- 2:49Speaker 2: part of the conversation this morning. Are you on your
- 2:51Speaker 2: way to work? Are you getting ready at home? What
- 2:53Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 2:54Speaker 5: I am on my way to work.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I'm driving through the airport right now.
- 2:58Speaker 6: Through the airport.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Oh, my goodness.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah, just to get to the other side.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Down Donaldson Pike.
- 3:07Speaker 6: Okay.
- 3:07Speaker 2: So what do you do? Do you work at the airport?
- 3:10Speaker 6: No, sir. I live in Old Hickory, but I work
- 3:13Speaker 6: in South Nashville at an elementary school.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:17Speaker 4: She's got her trek that she's getting through the day,
- 3:20Speaker 4: so she's got to go through all of that.
- 3:22Speaker 5: It's pretty early right now, though.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Is there, like, any traffic that you're hitting right now?
- 3:25Speaker 4: There's time of day, so you miss all that mess.
- 3:28Speaker 5: Yes, okay, good, good, good, good.
- 3:30Speaker 4: That's a positive at least because I know that the
- 3:32Speaker 4: traffic here is the worst possible thing to start your day.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Well, unless you have us, then it's not so bad.
- 3:38Speaker 3: That's true.
- 3:39Speaker 4: That is very true.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Jamie, can I give you a compliment?
- 3:42Speaker 4: You have such a sweet laugh.
- 3:45Speaker 5: It reminds me of Dolly Parton's laugh.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I can hear that for sure.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Oh, thank you very much.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I appreciate that. Have you ever heard that before? No,
- 3:53Speaker 3: I haven't.
- 3:53Speaker 1: So, thank you.
- 3:55Speaker 4: It's very sweet and endearing and you laugh and it
- 3:59Speaker 4: makes me smile.
- 4:01Speaker 3: That makes me happy.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
- 4:03Speaker 5: Of course.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Of course.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Can we give you some tickets to go see Disney
- 4:06Speaker 2: on Ice?
- 4:07Speaker 4: Yes, please.
- 4:09Speaker 1: All right.
- 4:09Speaker 3: You're the first caller of the day. So you got
- 4:10Speaker 3: four of them.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Disney on Ice presents Spotlight Magic at Bridgestone later this month.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I'm clapping really fast.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Congratulations, love.
- 4:19Speaker 1: We hope you have the.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Best time at Disney on Ice.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Obviously, a four pack is huge.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yes, it is.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I'm so happy. I'm so happy. My daughter's going to
- 4:28Speaker 2: be so excited.
- 4:28Speaker 6: Yay!
- 4:29Speaker 5: Thank y'all so much.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Have a great day today, Jamie. Thank you so much
- 4:32Speaker 2: for starting your day with us.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you.
- 4:36Speaker 3: We've got more of these. Another four-pack, as Ricky calls it.
- 4:39Speaker 6: It's a.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Not doing it again.
- 4:41Speaker 6: Oh!
- 4:41Speaker 2: Did you get in trouble yesterday?
- 4:43Speaker 3: It's a meaty package. All four of these tickets. Come
- 4:45Speaker 3: get them. Your last chance tomorrow.
- 4:48Speaker 6: 107.5, The River.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Manno in the morning.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Big day for me yesterday, Ricky.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Okay.
- 4:55Speaker 2: It's a big day. It's 107.5 The River. My wife
- 4:56Speaker 2: and I were celebrating something last night. I wouldn't expect
- 5:01Speaker 2: you to know this, so don't panic.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I'm thinking my brain is going through all the options
- 5:05Speaker 4: of what this could be.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I honestly don't even know if most people do celebrate
- 5:09Speaker 2: the day we were celebrating, but we were, and our
- 5:11Speaker 2: celebration was crashed.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Your weird celebration that other people don't celebrate was crashed by.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Something even weirder?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Our plans were foiled. I'll tell you why, what we
- 5:21Speaker 2: were celebrating. And then I want to know if you
- 5:23Speaker 2: celebrate this as well, right after Ariana Grande.
- 5:25Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 5:27Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 5:29Speaker 4: The Kevin Manos of the world are known for celebrating
- 5:32Speaker 4: weird things. The whole family, the Mano family, loves to
- 5:35Speaker 4: celebrate very strange things. And I'm very curious about this story.
- 5:40Speaker 4: It's 107.5 The River. You celebrated something with your wife yesterday, Kevin. Yes,
- 5:45Speaker 4: I tried to. And your plans are foiled. So, yes,
- 5:48Speaker 4: you tried to. What was it that you were celebrating?
- 5:51Speaker 3: It was the 11th anniversary of.
- 5:54Speaker 2: of our engagement i proposed to her 11 years ago.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Yesterday okay i don't know that people still celebrate that
- 6:00Speaker 4: after they get married yeah i don't.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Think so either it's in my calendar so i just
- 6:04Speaker 2: i see it every year they're like oh it's coming
- 6:06Speaker 2: up you know it's just like one of those permanent
- 6:07Speaker 2: things in my calendar my wife had no idea she
- 6:09Speaker 2: was like oh it is okay like that makes sense
- 6:12Speaker 2: yeah i'm the one that that It flagged it as
- 6:14Speaker 2: something we should do.
- 6:15Speaker 4: It's been 11 years and you still celebrate the day
- 6:18Speaker 4: that you proposed.
- 6:19Speaker 6: Interesting.
- 6:19Speaker 5: It was a big day.
- 6:20Speaker 3: It was a big day.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so we had like parent, teacher, welcome back to school,
- 6:24Speaker 2: meet the teacher night last night where everybody goes, you know,
- 6:26Speaker 2: all the parents do.
- 6:27Speaker 3: So we had a babysitter for them.
- 6:28Speaker 5: Uh-oh, did something bad happen?
- 6:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:30Speaker 3: No, no, no, it was fine.
- 6:31Speaker 2: We had a babysitter for that, and we were like, oh,
- 6:32Speaker 2: since we have a babysitter, let's extend this after the
- 6:35Speaker 2: school thing. We'll just go out, we'll get a little dinner,
- 6:37Speaker 2: we'll have a drink, you know, celebrate a little bit.
- 6:39Speaker 2: And then we were going to go do that. We
- 6:41Speaker 2: had our plans all locked, and then some of the
- 6:42Speaker 2: other parents were like, yeah, we're going to go get
- 6:44Speaker 2: a beer or whatever. And we were like, okay, let's
- 6:46Speaker 2: just do that instead.
- 6:46Speaker 5: So we just kind of.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Threw our plans out the window to go hang out
- 6:50Speaker 2: with everybody else.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Nothing bad happened. I was a little worried.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I was thinking, you know, like maybe something happened with
- 6:54Speaker 4: the babysitter or like the kids are like, nope, don't
- 6:58Speaker 4: want to be with this person anymore.
- 7:00Speaker 5: Like you got to come home now.
- 7:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:02Speaker 2: No, we just realized that after, you know, so many
- 7:04Speaker 2: years together, 11 years, we'd rather hang out with other
- 7:06Speaker 2: people than hang out with each other. That's what we
- 7:09Speaker 2: realized last night. So we went and did that.
- 7:12Speaker 3: I remember the proposal real quick.
- 7:14Speaker 2: And then I want to hear about yours and AJ's
- 7:16Speaker 2: because I love your story as well. But I had
- 7:18Speaker 2: rose petals all over the house and stuff. I had
- 7:20Speaker 2: one of Allie's friends take her out to lunch and
- 7:22Speaker 2: I put our dog Owen in a little tuxedo and
- 7:25Speaker 2: I was wearing like a little suit. When she came
- 7:27Speaker 2: in the door, I was there on one knee and
- 7:29Speaker 2: Owen was in his little tux. It was a sweet,
- 7:32Speaker 2: sweet day. And I cannot believe it was 11 years ago.
- 7:34Speaker 5: 11 years.
- 7:36Speaker 2: You and AJ, do you remember your date? Like the
- 7:38Speaker 2: actual date it happened on?
- 7:40Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 7:41Speaker 5: You're going to get me in trouble.
- 7:42Speaker 4: November 10th, I want to say.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Okay, that's coming up.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Was the day.
- 7:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:47Speaker 5: Which also, I want to say, I.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Used to remember it, but now I need to remember
- 7:52Speaker 4: my wedding day because now I'm married.
- 7:54Speaker 5: There's only so much room in that brain.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Yes, that is overtaking the actual engagement day at this
- 8:00Speaker 4: point because I need to remember that because if I don't,
- 8:02Speaker 4: AJ's going to be so upset.
- 8:04Speaker 5: And if I got that wrong, he's also so going
- 8:05Speaker 5: to be upset.
- 8:06Speaker 6: But.
- 8:06Speaker 4: It was such a lovely proposal.
- 8:08Speaker 5: And it was honestly, I was not expecting it. It
- 8:10Speaker 5: was shocking. He was acting very weird.
- 8:13Speaker 4: So I thought something was up at some point because
- 8:16Speaker 4: we were in the Smoky Mountains. So we were in
- 8:18Speaker 4: a tree house and it was fall and it was
- 8:20Speaker 4: beautiful outside. And he was giving me these nervous energy
- 8:24Speaker 4: vibes and he was forgetting things that he needed for
- 8:27Speaker 4: the trip.
- 8:27Speaker 2: But you just weren't thinking proposal.
- 8:29Speaker 5: I was not thinking proposal.
- 8:31Speaker 4: But he was like, no worries, I'm going to handle everything,
- 8:32Speaker 4: which is very weird. That man does not plan a
- 8:35Speaker 4: singular thing. I plan everything. So that was already kind
- 8:39Speaker 4: of weird, but I was like, hey, take.
- 8:40Speaker 5: It off my plate. Sounds good. He forgot half the
- 8:42Speaker 5: things we needed for this trip. Because he was so nervous.
- 8:46Speaker 5: The proposal was beautiful.
- 8:47Speaker 4: He had me crying and laughing and smiling. And it
- 8:50Speaker 4: was just, it was genuinely so wonderful and so lovely.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Thinking about it, I get all.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Like mushy inside.
- 8:56Speaker 5: And I'm not, I don't typically get very mushy, but
- 8:58Speaker 5: I get very mushy when I think about it.
- 9:00Speaker 2: See, that's what these celebrations do for you. They make
- 9:02Speaker 2: you remember, you know, how special it was.
- 9:04Speaker 5: We're not going to celebrate that day though anymore.
- 9:06Speaker 2: November 10th, I'm going to celebrate. I'm taking you guys
- 9:08Speaker 2: out to dinner, the.
- 9:09Speaker 5: Three of us.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Three things you need to know. Good morning.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Thank you so much for starting your Thursday with us.
- 9:14Speaker 2: So glad it's already Thursday.
- 9:15Speaker 6: Let's go. We're cooking.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Ricky's got those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 9:19Speaker 5: Yeah, it's hot outside. We are definitely cooking.
- 9:21Speaker 2: We are cooking, yeah.
- 9:22Speaker 5: Rumors are starting.
- 9:23Speaker 4: On who will headline Coachella 2027. Frontrunners right now are
- 9:27Speaker 4: Tame Impala, Dua Lipa, and Fred again. This would be
- 9:30Speaker 4: Tame Impala's fifth Coachella appearance. Dua Lipa, this would be
- 9:34Speaker 4: her first festival debut. Miley Cyrus is rumored to have
- 9:38Speaker 4: turned down the offer, though. Coachella 2027 is already set
- 9:42Speaker 4: for April 9th through the 11th and April 16th through
- 9:45Speaker 4: the 18th in California. Obviously, we got some time to
- 9:49Speaker 4: see exactly who's going to headline, but it's always fun
- 9:51Speaker 4: to kind of see what people think. The rumors, it's
- 9:54Speaker 4: so exciting. Dolly Parton has been honored with a memorial
- 9:58Speaker 4: bench at Centennial Park. Metro Parks and Centennial Park Conservancy.
- 10:04Speaker 6: Wow.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Conservancy, have dedicated a bench near the Sunken Garden in
- 10:11Speaker 4: memory of Dolly Parton. This specific bench has a meaningful
- 10:14Speaker 4: connection to both Dolly and Centennial Park's history. In 1975,
- 10:19Speaker 4: a photographer named Rayanne Rubenstein, she photographed Dolly in Centennial
- 10:25Speaker 4: Park's Sunken Garden. And there is a photo of her
- 10:27Speaker 4: on this specific bench that is very popular and very
- 10:31Speaker 4: well known. The photograph is actually going to be placed
- 10:33Speaker 4: on permanent display in the Parthenon. So This is a
- 10:35Speaker 4: lovely way to honor Dolly. And a new study says
- 10:39Speaker 4: that being.
- 10:40Speaker 5: Single is linked to personal growth.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Researchers found that people who view being single as an
- 10:45Speaker 4: opportunity rather than a problem are more likely to try
- 10:48Speaker 4: new experiences, learn new skills, explore hobbies, and expand their
- 10:52Speaker 4: social circles. Participants who embrace the mindset reported greater life satisfaction,
- 10:59Speaker 4: less anxiety about being single, and stronger feelings of independence
- 11:02Speaker 4: and confidence. So it's all about reworking and reframing the
- 11:06Speaker 4: idea of being single and just taking those moments as
- 11:09Speaker 4: an opportunity. While you're single, you get to do a
- 11:11Speaker 4: lot of things that you will not be able to
- 11:13Speaker 4: do when you are with someone because now you are
- 11:16Speaker 4: thinking about somebody else. You are worried about, you know,
- 11:19Speaker 4: what they may want to do. It goes all the
- 11:22Speaker 4: way down to what movie.
- 11:23Speaker 5: You're going to watch on Friday night. So take advantage of.
- 11:27Speaker 4: The single life and try new experiences, do new things
- 11:30Speaker 4: and just live the life that you want to live
- 11:32Speaker 4: for you.
- 11:33Speaker 5: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 11:34Speaker 5: need to know.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I feel like we're both talking about that like with
- 11:38Speaker 2: jealousy or something. Oh, enjoy your life.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Please.
- 11:41Speaker 3: You don't know how good.
- 11:41Speaker 6: You have it.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I mean, am I wrong, though?
- 11:43Speaker 4: That's the moment where you get to do whatever you
- 11:45Speaker 4: want to do.
- 11:45Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure.
- 11:46Speaker 5: Take advantage of that.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely.
- 11:48Speaker 1: 100%.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Thank you, Ricky. Zach is out again today. So I'm
- 11:52Speaker 2: filling in for him. Zach Spex, presented by Kevin Mano,
- 11:55Speaker 2: coming right after Taylor Swift.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Class is in session.
- 11:59Speaker 6: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 12:02Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Zach is out this week. It's Kevin Mano with that
- 12:06Speaker 2: fact filling in for him. Ricky, did you know that
- 12:08Speaker 2: you are much more likely to be bitten by a
- 12:10Speaker 2: New Yorker than you are to be bitten by a shark?
- 12:14Speaker 5: What do you mean, Kevin?
- 12:15Speaker 2: I mean, it's much more common to be bitten by somebody,
- 12:17Speaker 2: a person in New York. There are fewer than 100
- 12:19Speaker 2: unprovoked shark bites every year. And New York City medical
- 12:22Speaker 2: facilities treat way more human bite injuries every year, like
- 12:25Speaker 2: 10 times more.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Every single year.
- 12:27Speaker 5: I had no idea, but thank you for that.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Yeah, everyone's running around with this fear of shark bites.
- 12:32Speaker 3: New York, man.
- 12:33Speaker 2: It's the New Yorkers. That's the fact of the day.
- 12:36Speaker 6: Thanks, Kev. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 12:38Speaker 4: When you bring a dish to a cookout, does the
- 12:41Speaker 4: host get to keep your dish? I'm talking food that's
- 12:44Speaker 4: left in the dish, but the actual container as well.
- 12:48Speaker 6: Both. Oh, my God.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Like, just it's theirs now? Like, this plate or this
- 12:52Speaker 2: Tupperware just belongs to them now?
- 12:54Speaker 4: This is a dilemma that somebody had brought to threads
- 12:57Speaker 4: and people went nuts. Her friend went to a cookout
- 13:01Speaker 4: and the host wanted.
- 13:02Speaker 5: To keep the actual dish, not just.
- 13:04Speaker 4: The food in the dish, but the actual dish that
- 13:07Speaker 4: she brought to the cookout.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Is that common? That's a great question.
- 13:12Speaker 2: 615-737-9107. Have you been in that situation before? Does the
- 13:16Speaker 2: thrower of the party just get to keep all the
- 13:18Speaker 2: dishes that were brought to the house?
- 13:20Speaker 3: That's... That's interesting.
- 13:23Speaker 4: 615-737-9107.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Let us know what you think.
- 13:25Speaker 6: 107.5, the river.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Stephanie is on the line right now. Stephanie from Smyrna.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Our question was, when you go to a cookout, do
- 13:34Speaker 2: you leave the food if you.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Brought a dish? Do you leave it behind?
- 13:38Speaker 2: Does the actual platter it came on now belong to
- 13:41Speaker 2: the host of the party?
- 13:44Speaker 4: I'm, like, not for that at all.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Like, that's my dish.
- 13:49Speaker 4: And, I mean, you're welcome to put the food in.
- 13:51Speaker 1: One of your dishes, but.
- 13:53Speaker 4: No, that's, like, I brought the dish. Right, especially if
- 13:56Speaker 4: it's a nice dish, like a nice.
- 13:58Speaker 5: Pyrex or something like that.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Like, one that you've used and you know exactly how
- 14:03Speaker 4: your food cooks in it. Because your food cooks differently
- 14:06Speaker 4: in different types of dishes. And you know that if
- 14:09Speaker 4: you cook very often. And if you know exactly how
- 14:11Speaker 4: to cook the thing that you know how to make
- 14:13Speaker 4: in that dish perfectly, there's.
- 14:15Speaker 5: No way I'm going to leave that behind.
- 14:16Speaker 3: It's very personal.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 14:19Speaker 5: I'm also the type, you know, like, if I know
- 14:21Speaker 5: I'm going somewhere.
- 14:23Speaker 4: and that could be, like, an issue, I make sure
- 14:26Speaker 4: to put it in, like, a disposable pan or something.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Smart.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Oh, okay, okay.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Smart move, Stephanie.
- 14:31Speaker 2: But, Stephanie, you are okay with, like, leaving, let's say
- 14:34Speaker 2: you brought potato salad, and now the party's wrapping up,
- 14:36Speaker 2: you're going home.
- 14:37Speaker 3: You would leave the rest of the food. You're okay
- 14:39Speaker 3: to leave that behind? You're not taking that home?
- 14:41Speaker 5: Yeah, no. Like, they can keep it. It's, like, right
- 14:44Speaker 5: for the party.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Right.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I don't need it.
- 14:46Speaker 1: You're good.
- 14:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 5: Totally with you, Stephanie. That makes a lot of sense.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 14:51Speaker 5: Thanks for calling in, love.
- 14:52Speaker 6: Bye.
- 14:52Speaker 2: We appreciate it.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Bye. The only way that would make sense to me, Ricky,
- 14:56Speaker 2: because I've never heard of that. I've never heard of
- 14:58Speaker 2: the host of the party saying, this is mine now.
- 15:00Speaker 2: The only way that would make sense is if it
- 15:02Speaker 2: was like a housewarming party. I think that's kind of
- 15:04Speaker 2: a good idea, but you would have to specify.
- 15:05Speaker 3: It up front.
- 15:06Speaker 5: Yes, this needs to be a discussion prior.
- 15:09Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Anyone who would ask for the dish. I can't imagine
- 15:13Speaker 5: going to my guests.
- 15:14Speaker 4: And being like, oh, no, no, this beautiful, beautiful dish
- 15:17Speaker 4: that you brought that you spent a lot of money
- 15:19Speaker 4: on is now mine because you walked into my home
- 15:21Speaker 4: with it.
- 15:21Speaker 2: You brought it to my house, so it's mine now.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Your shoes by the front door, those are mine too.
- 15:25Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 15:27Speaker 4: It's Kevin Mano's Game of the Day on 107.5 The River.
- 15:30Speaker 4: We're playing the super easy baseball quiz for tickets to see.
- 15:33Speaker 5: The Nashville Sounds this Sunday.
- 15:35Speaker 4: I can't wait to hear what obscure random question You
- 15:39Speaker 4: have for us today, Kevin.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Maybe there won't be one today. We're going to find
- 15:42Speaker 2: out here. Tasha in Bowling Green is.
- 15:44Speaker 1: On the line.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Good morning, Tasha.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 15:47Speaker 3: You getting ready for work?
- 15:48Speaker 2: You on your way?
- 15:48Speaker 6: I am.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I am on my way to work.
- 15:51Speaker 3: What do you do, Tasha?
- 15:52Speaker 5: I'm a mammographer.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Oh, like mammograms.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Is that right?
- 15:57Speaker 1: Do what?
- 15:58Speaker 2: Is it mammograms?
- 15:59Speaker 1: Yes. Okay.
- 16:00Speaker 2: I know when you laughed at me, I was like,
- 16:02Speaker 2: oh God, I embarrassed myself.
- 16:03Speaker 3: What did I do?
- 16:04Speaker 2: But that's a mammographer does mammograms.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Let's play the game.
- 16:08Speaker 4: There's something about mammographer though, that it's a funny word
- 16:10Speaker 4: to hear.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Mammographer.
- 16:11Speaker 3: I like it.
- 16:12Speaker 2: So you need two out of three of these right
- 16:14Speaker 2: to win the tickets.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Okay. Okay.
- 16:15Speaker 3: It's a super easy baseball quiz and it starts right now.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Tasha, our mammographer, what is it called when a batter
- 16:25Speaker 2: is thrown four balls during an at-bat?
- 16:28Speaker 6: A walk.
- 16:29Speaker 3: That is correct.
- 16:30Speaker 5: All right, Tasha, point on the board for you.
- 16:33Speaker 2: You just need one more and you win. So if
- 16:35Speaker 2: you get this, congratulations, the tickets are yours. Ricky Henderson
- 16:39Speaker 2: had how many career stolen bases?
- 16:41Speaker 1: No clue. No clue.
- 16:46Speaker 3: All right, she's going to pass on that one. He
- 16:49Speaker 3: had the record by a large margin. It was 1,406.
- 16:52Speaker 6: Whoa.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Yeah, like 500 more than the guy in second there.
- 16:57Speaker 3: That's insane. Yeah, untouchable.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Okay, that's all right.
- 17:00Speaker 3: You still have one more question ahead. You get this,
- 17:02Speaker 3: you win.
- 17:03Speaker 2: What offensive position throws the ball to the batter?
- 17:06Speaker 5: The pitcher.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Congratulations.
- 17:09Speaker 3: You're going to see the Saves on Sunday.
- 17:12Speaker 6: Way to go.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 17:13Speaker 1: All right, love.
- 17:14Speaker 4: We're going to put you on hold for just a second.
- 17:15Speaker 5: We got to get your info, okay?
- 17:17Speaker 4: Fun fact, Kevin, I looked up Ricky Henderson because, you know, Ricky's.
- 17:21Speaker 5: Stick together, you know. He was known as the man
- 17:24Speaker 5: of steel.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Pretty cool. Oh, steel because he would steal the base. Oh,
- 17:29Speaker 2: I was thinking like, well, that's taking my Superman. I
- 17:31Speaker 2: don't get it, but he was stealing bases.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I get it.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Different kind of steel, yeah.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 17:37Speaker 3: You're making a great day.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Let's go. It's just after 8 o'clock. Appreciate you being here.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Ricky Sanchez has those three things presented by Mark Spain
- 17:43Speaker 2: Real Estate.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Journalist and feminist icon Gloria Steinem has passed away at
- 17:49Speaker 4: 92 years old. A statement made on social media said
- 17:52Speaker 4: that she passed away in New York City yesterday, quote,
- 17:55Speaker 4: surrounded by some of the many who loved her. Gloria
- 17:58Speaker 4: was an accomplished journalist, the co-founder of Miss Magazine and
- 18:01Speaker 4: one of the most prominent voices of the women's rights movement.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Our thoughts are with those who love her, friends, family
- 18:08Speaker 4: and those who look up to her right now. BNA
- 18:11Speaker 4: is getting one of Southwest Airlines' first airport lounges. Nashville's
- 18:15Speaker 4: lounge is going to be around 30,200 square feet, and
- 18:18Speaker 4: construction on it has already started. You can find it
- 18:21Speaker 4: on the mezzanine level of the BNA marketplace and is
- 18:24Speaker 4: expected to open in late 2027. They have a few
- 18:26Speaker 4: other locations that are going to be opening as well,
- 18:29Speaker 4: one in Honolulu, one in Baltimore, and one in Austin.
- 18:34Speaker 5: They plan to expand, obviously, as time goes on.
- 18:38Speaker 4: And Dyson has unveiled a new high-tech toothbrush with a
- 18:42Speaker 4: built-in camera, AI, and an automatic flossing system. So the
- 18:46Speaker 4: CameraJet is what it's called. It takes pictures inside your
- 18:49Speaker 4: mouth while you're brushing. It uses AI to find gaps
- 18:51Speaker 4: in between your teeth and then fires these, like, blasts
- 18:55Speaker 4: of mouth rinse to.
- 18:57Speaker 5: Floss them for you.
- 18:58Speaker 4: It even lets you watch a video of your brushing
- 19:01Speaker 4: through an app on your phone. This is all kind
- 19:03Speaker 4: of wild. What's even more wild, though, is the insane price, okay?
- 19:06Speaker 4: The CameraJet is $ 500, this toothbrush. $ 500.
- 19:12Speaker 5: Obviously, sounds very helpful. Sounds pretty cool.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Pretty expensive, especially because if you use electric toothbrushes already,
- 19:20Speaker 4: those are pretty expensive.
- 19:21Speaker 5: This is even more than that.
- 19:23Speaker 4: I do want to make one thing of note because
- 19:25Speaker 4: I was talking about this with my friends in a
- 19:26Speaker 4: group chat.
- 19:27Speaker 5: And my one friend made a.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Great point that it is kind of weird to have
- 19:30Speaker 4: a camera in your.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Bathroom, though.
- 19:33Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Maybe it comes with like a little cover for it
- 19:35Speaker 3: or something.
- 19:36Speaker 1: It might. I don't know.
- 19:37Speaker 4: They didn't note any of that in the press release or,
- 19:40Speaker 4: you know, anything that's kind.
- 19:42Speaker 5: Of come out about it.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Just something to think about if you're looking into getting
- 19:46Speaker 4: one of these because I never thought of that.
- 19:47Speaker 5: I was like, oh, wow, this sounds pretty cool.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Actually.
- 19:50Speaker 4: And I don't have $ 500 for it, but pretty cool idea.
- 19:53Speaker 5: And then she said that and I went, oh. Never
- 19:56Speaker 5: thought about that.
- 19:57Speaker 4: So wanted to bring that to you just in case
- 19:59Speaker 4: you're thinking about getting one.
- 20:00Speaker 5: I'm Ricky Sanchez. And those are the three things you
- 20:02Speaker 5: need to know.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning on 107.5 The River.
- 20:06Speaker 5: When was the last time that you got tongue tied?
- 20:09Speaker 4: It's Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning on 107.5
- 20:12Speaker 4: The River. You know, I'm never going to let a
- 20:14Speaker 4: moment pass. where I can make fun of Kevin Mano
- 20:18Speaker 4: for something that he's done. You recently got very tongue-tied
- 20:21Speaker 4: on the air. This happens to us all the time, though, okay?
- 20:24Speaker 4: In Kevin's defense, we talk for so many hours every
- 20:26Speaker 4: day that we are bound to mess up something.
- 20:28Speaker 5: And this is a live radio show. We are live.
- 20:31Speaker 5: doing this right now.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Anything we say is just going to go over the air.
- 20:35Speaker 4: This happened to you the other day.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Can I set it up a little bit first? We're
- 20:38Speaker 3: doing this contest.
- 20:39Speaker 2: We're giving away these Olivia Rodrigo tickets. We want to
- 20:41Speaker 2: come bring them to your school and crash your pep rally.
- 20:45Speaker 2: And I was trying to say that, but I just
- 20:47Speaker 2: kept saying crush.
- 20:48Speaker 3: For some reason.
- 20:49Speaker 2: It sounds so threatening to say that we're going to
- 20:51Speaker 2: crush your pep rally. So this is what happened just
- 20:54Speaker 2: this past Tuesday live on the air.
- 21:08Speaker 2: .
- 21:19Speaker 4: .
- 21:22Speaker 1: But this happens.
- 21:23Speaker 4: This happens often. People get tongue tied. You know, it's
- 21:25Speaker 4: just a thing of life. Some other examples that people had.
- 21:29Speaker 5: Was someone tried to say, what's up, loser? And what's up, nerd?
- 21:33Speaker 5: And instead it came up, what's up, lurder?
- 21:36Speaker 3: Just combining the two words.
- 21:38Speaker 4: This person tried to say, what's up? What's up seems
- 21:41Speaker 4: to be hard. This person tried to say, what's up?
- 21:43Speaker 4: And what's shaking, baby? And instead, they screamed across the
- 21:46Speaker 4: parking lot.
- 21:47Speaker 5: What's up, baby shaker? Not when you want somebody to
- 21:50Speaker 5: yell at you.
- 21:53Speaker 4: One time a crush gave me a compliment and I
- 21:56Speaker 4: wanted to say cool things, but I squished the words
- 21:58Speaker 4: together and instead what came out was kank.
- 22:04Speaker 6: Kank. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 22:07Speaker 1: On 107.5, The River.
- 22:09Speaker 5: We've got a fun little dad joke. It's a little nostalgic.
- 22:12Speaker 5: It's a good one, though.
- 22:13Speaker 4: It's the Daily Double Tap on 107.5, The River, or,
- 22:17Speaker 4: you know, The Daily Dup, as Kevin likes to say.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Just trying out a new name for it.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 22:24Speaker 2: It's a quick one.
- 22:25Speaker 3: It speaks for itself. Today's Daily Double Tap. Here it is.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Do you know where Yit's been? Where Yit's been?
- 22:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I can't hear anybody ever say it's been without thinking.
- 22:42Speaker 5: That thinking that immediately.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I have to fight the urge to sing it every single.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Time, which is, I think, where this all comes from.
- 22:48Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 22:48Speaker 4: It's that feeling that it's in your soul that you
- 22:51Speaker 4: need to start singing that.
- 22:53Speaker 5: And if you don't sing it out loud, you sing
- 22:54Speaker 5: it in your head.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it's been. There you go.
- 22:56Speaker 5: That's not bad, Kevin.
- 22:57Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Really?
- 22:59Speaker 5: That was not bad.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Bare naked ladies is my best impression. I had no idea.
- 23:03Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
