- 0:12Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to episode forty eight of Revellio for
- 0:15Speaker 1: July ninth, twenty twenty six. I'm Amy and I'm Nicole.
- 0:34Speaker 2: And in this episode, we thought we would do something.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I mean, I guess our last episode was kind of
- 0:39Speaker 2: different too. We were kind of like ranking food, and
- 0:43Speaker 2: this episode we decided to kind of like rank spells
- 0:48Speaker 2: into various categories. So we're going to talk about some
- 0:50Speaker 2: spells today, maybe some of our favorites, maybe some of
- 0:54Speaker 2: are not favorites. But yeah, but before we dive into that,
- 1:04Speaker 2: listening to w W in.
- 1:07Speaker 1: The Wizarding Wireless Network now for the latest headlines.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So pretty much another slow, kind of like news cycle
- 1:15Speaker 2: since our last episode. But I did find a couple
- 1:19Speaker 2: pieces of information that have come out. The first is
- 1:23Speaker 2: that the Noble Collection has revealed the twenty twenty six
- 1:27Speaker 2: celebration wand. So I don't remember how many years they've
- 1:29Speaker 2: been doing this, but they've been coming out with like
- 1:31Speaker 2: a yearly celebration wand.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I think this is only the second because last year
- 1:35Speaker 1: was the patronis one, right.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Oh, I think so, But I don't know if this
- 1:39Speaker 2: one is like they were doing celebration wands and now
- 1:42Speaker 2: they're focusing on spells actually really apt for this episode,
- 1:45Speaker 2: but I can't fully remember. But the celebration WAND for
- 1:48Speaker 2: twenty twenty six is themed around the Alohamora charm. So
- 1:53Speaker 2: it's available for pre order in the US starting July eighth,
- 1:56Speaker 2: and then the official product launch is towards the end
- 1:59Speaker 2: of the month on July twenty fifth. There's also like
- 2:02Speaker 2: an event in London, I think around the time that
- 2:05Speaker 2: it comes out. And the wand is really pretty. It's
- 2:09Speaker 2: at the end it kind of resembles an old key,
- 2:13Speaker 2: like very similar to the keys that we get like
- 2:15Speaker 2: during the scene with all the keys, the flying keys.
- 2:20Speaker 2: It's not a flying key, but it has that same
- 2:23Speaker 2: kind of old kind of look to it. So it
- 2:26Speaker 2: is very pretty and I believe you can see it
- 2:29Speaker 2: on the Noble Collections like Instagram page.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I do really like these wonds that they're doing. They're
- 2:36Speaker 1: very cool. I just can't start another collection right now.
- 2:40Speaker 2: No, And it has like and I think these ones
- 2:42Speaker 2: come with like a base too, which is really cool,
- 2:45Speaker 2: and it the base for this one has like a
- 2:48Speaker 2: little tag that is the Alohamurra like wand like spell
- 2:56Speaker 2: nod motion pattern like that the thing they always do
- 2:59Speaker 2: for the spells where it's yeah, the way that you
- 3:01Speaker 2: move your wand so I don't have space either for
- 3:06Speaker 2: something that has like a base like that. But they
- 3:09Speaker 2: are really really nice. And then the other bit of news,
- 3:15Speaker 2: which is I was kind of like shocked when I
- 3:18Speaker 2: saw this. So all of the Harry Potter and Fantastic
- 3:22Speaker 2: Beast films are coming to MTV. I feel like MTV
- 3:29Speaker 2: is very different now than it was when I was
- 3:32Speaker 2: growing up, and it was actually music television.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I mean, I think of MTV as like reality shows.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Right, it was either like reality shows and like TRL
- 3:45Speaker 2: like that's I haven't watched MTV and like I'm dating
- 3:47Speaker 2: myself now, but like I've not watched MTV in a while.
- 3:49Speaker 2: So they're coming to MTV, Nickelodeon and other like Paramount network.
- 3:55Speaker 2: So Paramount must own empty. I'm so behind on like
- 4:00Speaker 2: all of this, but like Paramount must own like MTV,
- 4:03Speaker 2: like it must be a Paramount network. So this is
- 4:07Speaker 2: part of an exclusive multi year deal TV deal that
- 4:10Speaker 2: they had with Warner Brothers Discovery. And I also was
- 4:14Speaker 2: really confused by this, and so I did some other
- 4:16Speaker 2: research and I like totally missed this and we maybe
- 4:19Speaker 2: missed this, But I feel like the last time we
- 4:22Speaker 2: talked about like all acquisitions and stuff like that, it's
- 4:25Speaker 2: when it was just announced that like Netflix was going
- 4:27Speaker 2: to be acquiring and we were talking about the show
- 4:31Speaker 2: being like under the Netflix umbrella. I think that that's
- 4:34Speaker 2: no longer. I think I remember us talking about soon
- 4:38Speaker 2: after that news came out, Paramount made a bid, an
- 4:42Speaker 2: even bigger bid for it. And I don't know if
- 4:47Speaker 2: this is this might just be speculation, but like, based
- 4:51Speaker 2: on what I'm seeing online, I think like Paramount may
- 4:53Speaker 2: have won and Netflix may have walked away from their deal.
- 4:58Speaker 2: But I also feel like this didn't make like breaking
- 5:01Speaker 2: news unless I missed it, So I don't know if
- 5:04Speaker 2: this is still not settled yet, But I.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Mean, it's weird because the Netflix thing made like breaking
- 5:11Speaker 1: news like everywhere, and I feel like maybe they got
- 5:15Speaker 1: reported way too early, maybe like they even repainted the
- 5:19Speaker 1: water tower.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Right, So I don't know, Like, everybody do your own
- 5:25Speaker 2: research here, because I'm not sure. I just did a
- 5:28Speaker 2: really quick, like Google search after I saw this news
- 5:31Speaker 2: of it coming to the Paramount Networks, because I'm like,
- 5:34Speaker 2: why the heck would these movies go to Paramount if
- 5:37Speaker 2: like in a couple months or whatever, like Netflix is
- 5:40Speaker 2: going to own this. That's like Paramount was their biggest
- 5:43Speaker 2: competitor here. Why how the heck did Paramount secure this deal?
- 5:48Speaker 2: And then that's when I saw that there was some
- 5:50Speaker 2: article I found that said, like Netflix basically walked away
- 5:53Speaker 2: from their deal after Paramount came out with that greater bid.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So yeah, because that Netflix bid would have been like
- 6:02Speaker 1: right on the top of what they could have offered,
- 6:05Speaker 1: Like they could not have gone higher than that. Now,
- 6:08Speaker 1: that wouldn't surprise me if they had to walk away.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Maybe maybe it's not being like reported widespread in like
- 6:16Speaker 1: huge news outlets because the Netflix thing was and then
- 6:20Speaker 1: that fell through. Maybe they're kind of like waiting for
- 6:23Speaker 1: it to be a little bit more permanent.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I mean I know that when
- 6:28Speaker 2: we had learned that Paramount kind of outbid them, it
- 6:31Speaker 2: was significantly more, and I believe it was like a
- 6:34Speaker 2: cash deal if I'm not mistaken or something like that.
- 6:40Speaker 2: But obviously I know we've talked before too, there's like
- 6:42Speaker 2: legal things that have to like go through with stuff
- 6:44Speaker 2: like this too, because obviously we don't want a certain
- 6:47Speaker 2: company to like monopolize every There's just a lot that
- 6:49Speaker 2: goes into it. So that might also be why it
- 6:52Speaker 2: hasn't been like officially announced, But I feel like maybe
- 6:56Speaker 2: it's going to go to Paramount not Netflix. But yeah,
- 7:01Speaker 2: I believe the first like marathon of Harry Potter on
- 7:06Speaker 2: these Paramount channels is like the beginning of July. I
- 7:10Speaker 2: feel like I saw July eighth or something like that.
- 7:12Speaker 2: So it's happening like pretty quickly. Yeah, I don't know,
- 7:18Speaker 2: very interesting to think of Harry Potter on like MTV
- 7:20Speaker 2: or Nickelodeon.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know, but never thought Harry
- 7:25Speaker 1: Potter would be on the same network that gave us Snooky.
- 7:31Speaker 2: But here we are, right Jersey. God, Yes, and like gosh,
- 7:40Speaker 2: I can't remember the name of that show now that
- 7:42Speaker 2: was like the biggest reality show on MTV for so long.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Oh my god, why is it escaping me? Everyone listening
- 7:50Speaker 2: is like shouting right now. It'll come to me at
- 7:55Speaker 2: a random time during this episode. But yeah, So it's
- 8:00Speaker 2: just interesting because I'm so used to like Harry Potter
- 8:02Speaker 2: like marathons being on like sci fi. I feel like
- 8:07Speaker 2: isn't as usually sci fi or like they used to
- 8:09Speaker 2: be on free form, right, and I just they just
- 8:13Speaker 2: keep getting passed around. Harry Potter just keeps getting passed
- 8:16Speaker 2: around like a just spread the potato. Yeah, but yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 2: so that's really all I found for the news. We're
- 8:26Speaker 2: definitely in a very like slow kind of news cycle.
- 8:29Speaker 2: But hey, the fact that we still have any Harry
- 8:31Speaker 2: Potter news like almost like later, right, I'll take it.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. The magic continues over on the Revellio Patreon.

- 9:06Speaker 1: our main discussion, As Nichole said earlier, we thought it'd
- 9:10Speaker 1: be fun to go through and rank spells in different categories.
- 9:17Speaker 1: So our first category that we have is best Defensive Spell. So,
- 9:25Speaker 1: I mean, I gotta say I'm kind of with Harry
- 9:28Speaker 1: on this one. I feel like expelly Armis is like
- 9:32Speaker 1: the defensive spell. I mean, because if you take away
- 9:36Speaker 1: your opponent's wand what can they really do? Like, lesters
- 9:40Speaker 1: aren't gonna throw punches.
- 9:42Speaker 2: No, I mean unless you're like dueling like someone that's
- 9:46Speaker 2: like Dumbledore level and it's just so skilled and wandless magic.
- 9:51Speaker 1: That's true. I didn't think about the wandless magic.
- 9:54Speaker 2: But at the end of the day, like Xpelly, armis
- 9:56Speaker 2: like worked so well for Harry multiple times. It probably
- 10:01Speaker 2: worked a little too well for him. Some of it
- 10:04Speaker 2: I think was luck.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Gave us a realistic view of the spell. It's not really.
- 10:10Speaker 2: The best, no, but I agree, I think it's I
- 10:12Speaker 2: think it's a good a good spell for sure. I
- 10:16Speaker 2: had trouble choosing like just one for like all these categories.
- 10:19Speaker 2: But I thought of Expecto patronum because dementors are terrifying,
- 10:28Speaker 2: and how nice of it to have a spell that
- 10:30Speaker 2: can repel them away so that you don't like get
- 10:34Speaker 2: your soul sucked out.
- 10:36Speaker 1: It's interesting, like I feel like that's the only opponent
- 10:40Speaker 1: that has a spell developed specifically for just it, Like
- 10:45Speaker 1: there's no other creatures or anything that you just.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Use the other spells. Yeah, that's interesting. I didn't think
- 10:54Speaker 2: of that. I also thought of just like protago.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Generic, but that's like in the same line as expelling Armis.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I feel like simple but effective.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Yes, And then also I thought of impedimenta. I might
- 11:15Speaker 2: be saying it wrong, but this spell is used to
- 11:19Speaker 2: like hinder or slow down like a moving target, and
- 11:23Speaker 2: so I feel like during like a duel, that could
- 11:26Speaker 2: be really helpful, and it is different than like other spell. Well, well,
- 11:35Speaker 2: as we go through this, there's a lot of like
- 11:37Speaker 2: really similar like spells. Yeah, but I think, yeah, go ahead, Oh,
- 11:45Speaker 2: I was.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Just gonna say, I was just thinking a resto momentum too,
- 11:49Speaker 1: with slowing things down.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I meant. Like there's it's like I think,
- 11:54Speaker 2: it's just they're like different, like they're very similar but
- 11:58Speaker 2: very different. And also my brain is like not braining
- 12:04Speaker 2: right now. What is the spell that Hermione uses in
- 12:07Speaker 2: Chamber of Secrets to like freeze the Cornish Pixies? Uh okay,
- 12:12Speaker 2: I'm googling it A mobilist Oh yeah yeah, oh my god,
- 12:17Speaker 2: see it And I think of it so like that
- 12:19Speaker 2: one we're.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Recording in the morning. We usually record at night, where
- 12:23Speaker 1: like on.
- 12:23Speaker 2: A Tuesday, like we're like completely out of our element.
- 12:27Speaker 2: But like right, so that's like another charm that's like
- 12:30Speaker 2: the freezing charm. Right, So like there's a lot of
- 12:32Speaker 2: charms that are like similar. I think, like, but I
- 12:39Speaker 2: know when I like saw the way that the freezing
- 12:42Speaker 2: was was kind of described for this, Impedimenta charm is
- 12:45Speaker 2: more about like temporarily freezing, which obviously I think immobilist
- 12:48Speaker 2: is also temporary as well, but I think there's probably
- 12:52Speaker 2: just something slightly different about it.
- 12:54Speaker 1: But I think of Pendimenta as more of like tripping
- 12:59Speaker 1: somebody up or like causing them to stumble, yes, as opposed.
- 13:03Speaker 2: To like.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Immobilist actually freezes them petrificates. Totalis actually like.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Body locks body locks them.
- 13:11Speaker 1: And then arrest of momentum just like slows them down,
- 13:15Speaker 1: like they're still coming but just slower.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Right they're all Again, I think there's probably too many
- 13:22Speaker 2: similar spells for like kind of the same thing. But
- 13:25Speaker 2: I imagine like if say someone was throwing a baseball
- 13:28Speaker 2: at you, you could use like impedimenta to like slow
- 13:33Speaker 2: it down because it's like a moving target.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Or like posetic curve.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Maybe maybe I don't know, but I think that that
- 13:40Speaker 2: could be really helpful. Like during I just picture like
- 13:44Speaker 2: a duel and people are like using their wand to
- 13:47Speaker 2: like throw like objects at you. And like having a
- 13:50Speaker 2: spell to like be able to slow those things down. Yeah,
- 13:56Speaker 2: I also don't know if you can use the spell
- 13:58Speaker 2: like on a person, like if a person's moving target
- 14:00Speaker 2: and they're coming at you. Again, it's weird because so
- 14:06Speaker 2: many spells kind of seem like they do the same thing,
- 14:09Speaker 2: but I don't think they do. I think they all
- 14:11Speaker 2: have like if this, you should use this spell, if that,
- 14:14Speaker 2: you should use that spell. But we're not witches, so
- 14:18Speaker 2: I guess we don't know.
- 14:20Speaker 1: We haven't gone to Hogwarts.
- 14:22Speaker 2: No, I haven't taken charms or defense against those words
- 14:26Speaker 2: to really know, all.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Right, so then we have best offensive spell. I threw
- 14:38Speaker 1: in the ring stupefy just because Okay, there's a couple
- 14:42Speaker 1: of reasons here, right. Obviously, what the spell does is
- 14:45Speaker 1: super helpful. I mean, knocking somebody out. That's it. They're done,
- 14:51Speaker 1: Like they're out for the count. They're not coming after
- 14:54Speaker 1: you anymore. But like, it's also really short and easy
- 14:57Speaker 1: to say, whereas something like petrificus totalists would take you
- 15:02Speaker 1: longer to spit out. In the moment, like.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I probably get tied, which is so funny because I
- 15:09Speaker 2: got tongue tied trying to say tongue tied. So that
- 15:12Speaker 2: just shows how easily it is to get tongue tied
- 15:15Speaker 2: at some point, right, And I think it's also so long,
- 15:18Speaker 2: so like I had said too, because I was thinking
- 15:21Speaker 2: of stupefy also as like it's like a spell that's
- 15:23Speaker 2: like offensive and defensive. So if you're trying to say
- 15:26Speaker 2: like to your point of it being suret and easy
- 15:28Speaker 2: to say, right, if I'm trying to say petrificus totalist
- 15:31Speaker 2: at you, you could just be like stupefy as I'm
- 15:34Speaker 2: trying to say it, right, I'm done.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Even think it. Even if you're doing non verbal you
- 15:39Speaker 1: still have to say spell.
- 15:41Speaker 2: It's like yeah, yeah, no, that's a good one. So
- 15:49Speaker 2: my slytherin is gonna come out a little bit.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Here I went, you went dark.
- 15:52Speaker 2: I went a little dark at some of myself.
- 15:54Speaker 1: We went there.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Yeah, leave it to the resident. So I said sectum sempra.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I don't want to duel you. You're just like, yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna just bleed to death now.
- 16:10Speaker 2: But like I mean, we said the best offensive spell,
- 16:15Speaker 2: like you know, like you like you put here. Right.
- 16:18Speaker 2: If you do stupefy and they're stunt, what else are
- 16:20Speaker 2: they going to do? To you if you like, cause
- 16:23Speaker 2: several lacerations on your opponent and they're like bleeding out.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Like, yeah, that's pretty effective.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Now I'm not saying that you should use this spell.
- 16:38Speaker 2: You just asked what is a good offensive spell?
- 16:43Speaker 1: That's so Slytherin. I'm not saying you should use it.
- 16:47Speaker 2: By yes, what are some of the best ones? And
- 16:50Speaker 2: that's a pretty good one because it would really harm
- 16:55Speaker 2: your opponent. This is also another one that's like because
- 17:02Speaker 2: isn't it is it? Defendo is a severing charm. But
- 17:09Speaker 2: this is another one where it's like very similar spells
- 17:14Speaker 2: because obviously sectum sempra is similar in that it I
- 17:19Speaker 2: guess this is getting kind of gruesome. But this again
- 17:23Speaker 2: is where like the object matters, right, like defindo I
- 17:28Speaker 2: think is way more for like certain objects, where I
- 17:33Speaker 2: think that when Snape kind of maybe created sectum sumpra,
- 17:39Speaker 2: what's different is that is something that is used exclusively
- 17:42Speaker 2: for living targets. So like defindo, whenn't work in that
- 17:46Speaker 2: same right way.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Like I don't think t Findo's used for flesh.
- 17:49Speaker 2: It's more correct fabric or correct yeah correct? So yeah,
- 17:57Speaker 2: in like inanimate objects. Yeah so yeah, so Sectum Cempra
- 18:02Speaker 2: is the dark version of the slashing curse. And again
- 18:05Speaker 2: I am not saying that you use Sectum Sempra. We
- 18:09Speaker 2: saw what happened to Draco. We're not We're not condoning it.
- 18:13Speaker 2: It's just it is a pretty effective offensive spell. Uh.
- 18:19Speaker 2: And then the other one I went for is fiend fire,
- 18:22Speaker 2: because just light it all up.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Right, I mean, I guess if this is like a
- 18:32Speaker 1: if you're willing to maybe go down with the ship, Okay, sure,
- 18:41Speaker 1: what I'm.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Saying you have to go out. We literally saw people
- 18:44Speaker 2: survive of fiend fire. No, they didn't all make it out,
- 18:48Speaker 2: not the one did. Yeah. Well, I mean and here's
- 18:54Speaker 2: the thing too, if I need to, if I need
- 18:56Speaker 2: to destroy a horcrux, fiend fire do it.
- 19:01Speaker 1: This is true.
- 19:01Speaker 2: So I think it's a good spell to have in
- 19:03Speaker 2: your arsenal because if you ever come across a horse
- 19:05Speaker 2: trucks and you don't happen to have like the sort
- 19:09Speaker 2: of or a bascliss, than.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Just hang it out in your back pocket.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Right. We all just carry those around all the time
- 19:16Speaker 2: in case we stumble upon a horcrux, then like fiend
- 19:19Speaker 2: fire is your next best option.
- 19:23Speaker 1: True, you should at least know how to cast it.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But like, I want to know, how would you practice
- 19:28Speaker 1: casting fiend Fire? Is this like one of those situations
- 19:31Speaker 1: where like how the fire department has these like buildings
- 19:34Speaker 1: that they just purposely burn over and over and over
- 19:37Speaker 1: again for practice, Like is there a building for controlled
- 19:41Speaker 1: fiend fire burns?
- 19:43Speaker 2: I mean, or is it like it's something that it's
- 19:45Speaker 2: like it's a spell you don't like practice but like
- 19:52Speaker 2: it just yeah, I don't know, because we make such
- 19:54Speaker 2: a big deal of needing to practice spells and like
- 19:57Speaker 2: really honing them. But I mean, I also think when
- 20:01Speaker 2: it was used in the series, I can't imagine it
- 20:05Speaker 2: was being pracked. I feel like in that moment, it
- 20:07Speaker 2: was just like I've heard of this spell, I'm going
- 20:09Speaker 2: to use it, and it worked, which.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Is maybe why it went so wrong for him and
- 20:13Speaker 1: got out of control.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Right right right? I think that is the problem with it,
- 20:23Speaker 2: is that again not condoning going out and using fiend Fire,
- 20:27Speaker 2: But if you're in a very precarious situation, it would
- 20:33Speaker 2: work in an offensive way. But yeah, I'm sticking with
- 20:37Speaker 2: Sectum Sempra and fiend Fire. Okay, Now, again, if we
- 20:43Speaker 2: were ever in a duel. I would not use either
- 20:45Speaker 2: of those.
- 20:45Speaker 1: That's good. That's good to know.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I'm just saying these are some good offensive spells that
- 20:50Speaker 2: would really help you out.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I mean, I guess it depends on who you're dueling, Like,
- 20:56Speaker 1: you know, if it's like a friendly jewel, you're not
- 20:59Speaker 1: going to use. If it's like, oh, no, life or death,
- 21:02Speaker 1: like all bets are off at that.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I went to the extreme self defense mode, like Valtimore
- 21:10Speaker 2: is coming after you.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Fair enough like that level.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Yeah, Now, if you're just having a friendly little duel
- 21:16Speaker 2: with your friend, no stupefy. You know, no, they're not
- 21:20Speaker 2: going to be hurt, they're not going to be whatever,
- 21:22Speaker 2: but you just yeah.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Yeah, okay. So next category is most useful, and I
- 21:31Speaker 1: feel like there's a lot for this. I went with
- 21:36Speaker 1: the obvious repaio. I mean, when would you not need
- 21:40Speaker 1: to use for Paero, Like, imagine how much money you
- 21:44Speaker 1: could save if you could just magically fix everything that
- 21:47Speaker 1: you have that's broken.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Mh, it'd be amazing.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Another one that I thought was the tracking spell. This
- 21:58Speaker 1: is the one that Newt uses when he's trying to
- 22:01Speaker 1: track down Tina and the incantation. I'm going to say
- 22:05Speaker 1: this is totally wrong, Apari Fastigium. I think it's how you.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Say it sounds good to me.
- 22:14Speaker 1: But I mean, like, think of how useful, Like how
- 22:17Speaker 1: many times have you lost somebody in a crowd or
- 22:19Speaker 1: a store? Like just very useful.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Literally just the other day I was wandering around the
- 22:26Speaker 2: store trying to find my boyfriend. Yeah, no, I agree,
- 22:31Speaker 2: this is I think we brainstormed probably the most in
- 22:34Speaker 2: this category because I mean there's a lot of useful
- 22:37Speaker 2: swell and I think the thing is in general, magic
- 22:41Speaker 2: is useful. Yes, they're all useful.
- 22:44Speaker 1: And I think this is why charms would be my
- 22:47Speaker 1: favorite class if I was to go to Hogwarts, because
- 22:50Speaker 1: I feel like all of the charms are just super useful,
- 22:52Speaker 1: like everyday little things that would just make life that
- 22:55Speaker 1: much smoother.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I went for a few like standard basic ones
- 23:03Speaker 2: here too, of course, like Achio, like absolutely like to
- 23:10Speaker 2: not have to get up to get something. I feel
- 23:15Speaker 2: like it would make me so lazy, but like just
- 23:18Speaker 2: so helpful.
- 23:20Speaker 1: And in that same vein, I thought of locomotor because like,
- 23:25Speaker 1: similar to Achio, you know you're moving things, but I
- 23:28Speaker 1: feel like that's more like for like moving heavy things,
- 23:32Speaker 1: which would be yes, super helpful as a woman living alone.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I think of all the times I've had to, like,
- 23:40Speaker 1: you know, sit on my stairs with something heavy behind
- 23:44Speaker 1: my back and push it with my back up the
- 23:46Speaker 1: stairs one step at a time. Lookomotor, Yeah, it'd be great.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Move that bookshelf.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Yes, so much easier.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Yes, that would be really helpful for me, like in
- 23:55Speaker 2: a couple of months moving. But yes. And then so
- 23:59Speaker 2: I also did Mosa Knox, And I will say this
- 24:02Speaker 2: is super useful because I've kind of used this in
- 24:06Speaker 2: the Muggle world because I have a Alexa device. I didn't
- 24:13Speaker 2: trigger it, and hopefully I didn't trigger anyone else's who
- 24:16Speaker 2: might be listening to this on not a headphone. And
- 24:20Speaker 2: I've programmed mine to turn my lights on and off
- 24:24Speaker 2: and I can just say Loumos after the name and
- 24:29Speaker 2: it'll turn my light on. And I feel like a
- 24:31Speaker 2: witch and I love it and it's so convenient, so like,
- 24:35Speaker 2: and also I think the other thing with Lumos and
- 24:37Speaker 2: Knox that's super helpful is just being able to like
- 24:39Speaker 2: conjure light whenever you need it, like obviously, like I
- 24:43Speaker 2: feel like in a way we can kind of do
- 24:45Speaker 2: this because if you have your cell phone on you
- 24:46Speaker 2: it all the time. You can turn a flashlight on,
- 24:49Speaker 2: but I don't just think about if you're somewhere and
- 24:52Speaker 2: like the power goes out or you're just obviously you
- 24:55Speaker 2: have to have your wand with you. So that is
- 24:57Speaker 2: a little tricky. But it's just to be able to
- 25:00Speaker 2: conjure light anywhere I think is really useful. I also
- 25:05Speaker 2: put Aloha Moura here. It's so funny because just yesterday
- 25:10Speaker 2: I was like coming home and I had so many
- 25:12Speaker 2: things like in my hands, and I was trying to
- 25:15Speaker 2: like unlock my front door and I just like couldn't
- 25:17Speaker 2: do it because I just had so much in my
- 25:20Speaker 2: hands and the key just like wouldn't turn because I
- 25:22Speaker 2: couldn't grab the door right, And I just like, wow,
- 25:25Speaker 2: Alohimura would have been real great in that moment to
- 25:28Speaker 2: not have to be struggling with my key.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yeah, And then like if you have too many keys
- 25:33Speaker 1: on your key ring sorting through to the correct one,
- 25:36Speaker 1: you just have Alohi Mora. It works at every door
- 25:39Speaker 1: and you don't need all those keys.
- 25:41Speaker 2: I just have like a lot of issues with Alohi
- 25:43Speaker 2: Mora because like, how do you like protect your door
- 25:46Speaker 2: because like my key is specific to my door, right,
- 25:49Speaker 2: But if Aloha Mora is just a general spell, then like,
- 25:52Speaker 2: can anybody just break in anywhere at any time?
- 25:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you would think there would be a lot more
- 25:58Speaker 1: like breaking and entering happy in the blizarding world.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I guess they could just if you
- 26:05Speaker 2: break an enter and then you come home, you could
- 26:07Speaker 2: just do hominem rebellio and know that somebody's there.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe like penalties and like punishments around
- 26:18Speaker 1: breaking and entering are so strict. Maybe it's like a
- 26:22Speaker 1: you know, you break an enter media ask command sentence,
- 26:26Speaker 1: So maybe people just don't.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Do it right. Yeah, I feel like Aloha Mora might
- 26:31Speaker 2: be like one of those spells that is like very
- 26:35Speaker 2: good for plot m But like, I mean, I guess too.
- 26:44Speaker 2: I did just like Google really quick, and I guess,
- 26:46Speaker 2: like because you can also open windows and obviously objects,
- 26:50Speaker 2: it's not just for doors. But it said like Aloha
- 26:55Speaker 2: Mora only works on things that are not protected by
- 26:58Speaker 2: specific counter So I wonder if like for your house
- 27:02Speaker 2: or your front door, you would put like a counter
- 27:05Speaker 2: charm on it.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Well, in Fantastic Beasts, when Queenie's trying to get into
- 27:12Speaker 1: Graves's office. She's trying like all sorts of things like
- 27:16Speaker 1: alohi mora and stuff, and it's not working because you
- 27:21Speaker 1: put like protective spells on his door, right. Yeah, so
- 27:24Speaker 1: I guess if you know how to put spells on
- 27:27Speaker 1: your door.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Which actually makes sense that that's something that most people
- 27:33Speaker 2: in the Wizarding Rule will do. And maybe that's also
- 27:35Speaker 2: why there's not a lot of breaking and entry crimes,
- 27:38Speaker 2: because everyone just has protective spells on their doors. But
- 27:42Speaker 2: I wonder if that means if you do that, like
- 27:44Speaker 2: you can't use alohamra on your own door either, or
- 27:48Speaker 2: if there's some clause that only you can do it.
- 27:51Speaker 2: I don't know, but anyways, I think aloha mora could
- 27:54Speaker 2: be very useful, if not almost a little unnecessary because
- 28:00Speaker 2: you just have keys, but I also think it could
- 28:02Speaker 2: be very useful. And then I also added a pisky here,
- 28:09Speaker 2: which is the charm for mending like broken bones and
- 28:12Speaker 2: healing a minor wounds. Obviously, like this would be extremely useful,
- 28:17Speaker 2: Like I don't even need to explain further why that
- 28:22Speaker 2: would be useful. Yeah, so I also thought of muffliato,
- 28:32Speaker 2: which is the spell that creates like a bubble of
- 28:34Speaker 2: silence around you and like whoever is in your vicinity
- 28:37Speaker 2: that you put the charm around. I think this would
- 28:40Speaker 2: be super helpful, Like when if you need to have
- 28:43Speaker 2: like a private conversation with somebody, or if you're in
- 28:45Speaker 2: a public place and it's just like really loud and
- 28:50Speaker 2: you're like trying to talk to your friends or something
- 28:52Speaker 2: like that. I just think it could be really useful.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I think of like times when like I don't know,
- 28:57Speaker 2: you just get really overstimulated sometimes by like the noise,
- 29:01Speaker 2: and to be able to like put yourself in this
- 29:04Speaker 2: like bubble of silence, I think could just be very
- 29:08Speaker 2: very useful. And then the last one I thought of
- 29:12Speaker 2: is obviously just like the extendable charm, because like, no
- 29:16Speaker 2: more struggling to fit stuff into places like big fan
- 29:21Speaker 2: of this. If you're packing, no stress. If you buy
- 29:24Speaker 2: a lot of souvenirs on your trip, no stress.
- 29:27Speaker 1: You don't need to check a bag. You just put
- 29:29Speaker 1: that extendable charm on your carry out. Yeah.
- 29:32Speaker 2: I didn't even think of anything. Closets that are too small.
- 29:37Speaker 2: If you've got a lot of clothes like me and
- 29:38Speaker 2: Amy do, and you're trying to fit them in drawers
- 29:41Speaker 2: and stuff. Just put an extendable charm on it, like
- 29:44Speaker 2: this would be extremely.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Me yesterday, Yeah, trying to rearrange my three closets. I
- 29:50Speaker 1: didn't get very far. I just shuffled things from one
- 29:53Speaker 1: closet to another. So the problem still exists.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Right, And see, if you had an use of an
- 29:58Speaker 2: extendable charm, you have an issue, it would all.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Fit in there exactly.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Yeah. So yeah, lots of useful charms for sure.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Yeah, so turning that on its head and going to
- 30:10Speaker 1: most useless, we've got a few here. So the one
- 30:17Speaker 1: that I thought of was Cantus, which is the one
- 30:20Speaker 1: that makes the target burst into song, which I mean, okay,
- 30:25Speaker 1: so they use this to make the suits of armors
- 30:27Speaker 1: sing and like singing Christmas carols. Other than that, what
- 30:33Speaker 1: would you possibly need this for?
- 30:37Speaker 2: You know, maybe Cantus could be like a really fun
- 30:43Speaker 2: spell and a duel, Like I wonder if you can
- 30:45Speaker 2: use it on a living person, because if someone's imagine
- 30:48Speaker 2: like a death eater's coming at you, right and they're
- 30:51Speaker 2: not expecting you to throw cantus at them, and you
- 30:54Speaker 2: throw Cantus at them and they just start bursting out
- 30:57Speaker 2: in song, like I think they're probably going to stop
- 30:59Speaker 2: pursuing you because they're gonna be like, what is going on?
- 31:03Speaker 1: Wait, Like what would you want them to sing? Like?
- 31:08Speaker 2: Or do you control what they sing? Or just all
- 31:10Speaker 2: of a sudden they start singing.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Whatever's in their head. They just pop out with like
- 31:15Speaker 1: an eighties pop ballad. You're like, oh, that's what's going
- 31:20Speaker 1: on in your brain? Okay, And then.
- 31:22Speaker 2: You'd start laughing at them and they feel embarrassed and
- 31:25Speaker 2: like it might actually really work in a duel, like
- 31:28Speaker 2: like like the act of like humiliation. Right. I still
- 31:34Speaker 2: agree it's useless, but maybe we found a use for it.
- 31:37Speaker 1: I mean it'd be funny. A lot of these like
- 31:40Speaker 1: useless spells are like funny.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's weird.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Oh boy.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I thought of like for me, I kind of thought
- 31:51Speaker 2: for you useless charms. I was kind of like what
- 31:54Speaker 2: we touched on before about how we have so many
- 31:57Speaker 2: like spells that like kind of do the same thing.
- 32:00Speaker 2: So it's like, why do we have so many different
- 32:03Speaker 2: spells for it? Because I just think that's really confusing
- 32:07Speaker 2: and also useless. And one of the ones I thought
- 32:09Speaker 2: of was there's a spell mobilaris mobil arbust sorry, this
- 32:15Speaker 2: one is specifically to move wood. And I'm just kind
- 32:20Speaker 2: of wondering, why do we need such a specific spell
- 32:22Speaker 2: when we have something like when guardian Levosa.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Right, when when Guardium Levosa also work on wood?
- 32:29Speaker 2: I believe, yes, So I don't really understand why there's
- 32:34Speaker 2: a need for this spell, and I just think it's
- 32:38Speaker 2: kind of useless when you could just use another spell.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Right, that's just adding more spells to learn when you
- 32:45Speaker 1: don't need to.
- 32:46Speaker 2: It makes me think of like how hard like certain
- 32:49Speaker 2: languages can be to learn, like English for instance, and
- 32:53Speaker 2: how we have some really weird words or weird spellings
- 32:56Speaker 2: and like multiple words that are the same word but
- 33:00Speaker 2: mean different things. It just it reminds me of that. Yeah,
- 33:04Speaker 2: and like why like are wizards and witches just moving
- 33:10Speaker 2: wood so much that they're like, we need a spell
- 33:14Speaker 2: specifically for this.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I don't know why would they be moving wood? Really?
- 33:23Speaker 1: They don't need to like have wood burning fires because
- 33:27Speaker 1: like they're wizards.
- 33:28Speaker 2: I was gonna say they all have fireplaces, but not
- 33:30Speaker 2: to burn the wood. They're using them for flute transportation.
- 33:35Speaker 2: And they're, like you said, they're magical. They can just.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Blue belt flames or blue belt flame.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Yeah, but if they're feeling really frisky fiend.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Fire because they want to collect that house insurance.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I just think this is a
- 33:56Speaker 2: useless charm. I don't know.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I agree.
- 34:01Speaker 2: I also in similar vein thought of bracium a mendo,
- 34:07Speaker 2: and like, I guess, why do we have this when
- 34:10Speaker 2: we have a pisky? Right, and like we see what
- 34:15Speaker 2: happens when like Lockhart uses bracium amendo. I mean, part
- 34:21Speaker 2: of it is because he's just not qualified. I don't
- 34:24Speaker 2: know if maybe the difference here is that like a
- 34:26Speaker 2: pisky really is for like minor breaks, but if you
- 34:29Speaker 2: like sever your femur or something like that, a pisky
- 34:33Speaker 2: is just not strong enough, right, and you need But
- 34:36Speaker 2: I also feel like bracium amendo's also not strong enough,
- 34:39Speaker 2: and like you would have to like probably need like
- 34:42Speaker 2: a potion to fix that. I don't know, it just again,
- 34:46Speaker 2: it's like I don't understand like.
- 34:48Speaker 1: The difference between like a hairline fracture and like a
- 34:51Speaker 1: open fracture.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Maybe, but I just feel like the average witcher wizard
- 34:56Speaker 2: would not be able to tell which one you need
- 34:58Speaker 2: to use in that moment, and just as confusing to
- 35:01Speaker 2: have two, why just doesn't episkey work? I don't I
- 35:05Speaker 2: don't know. This one might not be useless. Maybe someone
- 35:09Speaker 2: could explain to me, like really, what the difference is
- 35:11Speaker 2: between these two spells, and maybe it won't be useless.
- 35:13Speaker 2: But again, it's just like why do we have so
- 35:15Speaker 2: many spells that are like kind of similarly doing the
- 35:18Speaker 2: same thing. And then the other two I thought of
- 35:24Speaker 2: were Serpent Sorcia and Avus, which I was like, why right, So, like, obviously,
- 35:32Speaker 2: Serpent Sorcia conjure snakes, which I could see like maybe
- 35:36Speaker 2: like that being useful in a situation like if you're
- 35:39Speaker 2: in a place where you need to defend yourself, snakes
- 35:43Speaker 2: can be kind of terrifying, and so I could see
- 35:45Speaker 2: how maybe conjuring snakes would be helpful. But also why
- 35:50Speaker 2: when we have other spells to defend? And then Avis
- 35:55Speaker 2: is obviously to conjure birds for what purpose?
- 35:59Speaker 1: Right? Yeah? That's kind of weird.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. So, yeah, I think those are
- 36:08Speaker 2: pretty useless.
- 36:09Speaker 1: There's a lot for this category. I feel like we
- 36:11Speaker 1: could probably pull a lot in here, but we won't. Okay,
- 36:18Speaker 1: So the next category is scariest. Immediately, this was like
- 36:26Speaker 1: a no brainer for me. Immediately I put down Imperious.
- 36:32Speaker 1: The scariest thing in the world to me is losing
- 36:35Speaker 1: your free will and control. So I feel like if
- 36:39Speaker 1: I lived in the wizarding world, this would be my
- 36:41Speaker 1: biggest fear that somebody would imperial me and that would
- 36:46Speaker 1: be it.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I like dying the killing curse, I'd be like, eh, whatever,
- 36:58Speaker 1: like I'm dead, not feeling it living as like being
- 37:04Speaker 1: stuck in that. And it's like all the instances we
- 37:07Speaker 1: see of the imperious curse is almost like people have
- 37:11Speaker 1: like those moments of like knowing that they're under it
- 37:14Speaker 1: but not being able to come out of it, and
- 37:18Speaker 1: that's much scarier to me than just green light dead.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I think it's also really scary too, And I think
- 37:25Speaker 2: this will be kind of a theme and all of
- 37:27Speaker 2: the ones we talk about is scariest is like I think,
- 37:31Speaker 2: what makes a spell really scary for me, and why
- 37:33Speaker 2: I feel like Imperio is really scary is just like
- 37:36Speaker 2: how obviously these types of spells are harder to master
- 37:41Speaker 2: and harder to do, and like there's a reason why
- 37:43Speaker 2: there's like unforgivable curses and not just everyone can do them,
- 37:46Speaker 2: but just how quickly somebody can take over you or
- 37:54Speaker 2: how quickly somebody can the other spells we're going to
- 37:58Speaker 2: talk about, Like that's what's kind of scary about.
- 38:00Speaker 1: It, Like you could literally just be I mean, as
- 38:03Speaker 1: we see in the books walking into a bathroom and
- 38:06Speaker 1: someone's behind the door imperio, boom, you're done.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Like.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Yeah, no thanks, right, why do we go to the
- 38:14Speaker 1: bathroom in packs?
- 38:16Speaker 2: Right? Right? And I think that we like I think
- 38:19Speaker 2: like for the most part, like it's very similar to
- 38:22Speaker 2: real life, right, like where there's good people, there's bad people.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Like.
- 38:27Speaker 2: And I don't think like people are walking around like
- 38:32Speaker 2: wondering am I going to get imperiod today? Like I
- 38:34Speaker 2: don't think that what's happening. But at the same token,
- 38:38Speaker 2: like to your point, all it could take is you like, yeah,
- 38:44Speaker 2: walking into a public restroom with a bad witch er
- 38:47Speaker 2: wizard and just imperio, like, especially if they're good at
- 38:52Speaker 2: the spell, and that's terrifying.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I mean it's the same as like real life, like
- 38:57Speaker 1: walking anywhere. Like it's right, it's not as if like
- 39:03Speaker 1: you're fully expecting someone to like jump out and attack you,
- 39:07Speaker 1: but it's like something that is in the back of
- 39:11Speaker 1: your mind unless I'm just paranoid.
- 39:14Speaker 2: But I mean I know that I am in the.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Back of my mind and I'm very aware of my surroundings,
- 39:18Speaker 1: you know, So yeah.
- 39:20Speaker 2: I think what's scary about spells though, is that like
- 39:24Speaker 2: if someone were to like physically come at you, you
- 39:28Speaker 2: kind of have like a bit of a warning and
- 39:30Speaker 2: you can kind of try to put up a defense, right.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Yes, you have a chance to defend yourself.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Right, And I think obviously, like we just we talked
- 39:38Speaker 2: about defensive spells, right, so we know that there are
- 39:41Speaker 2: defensive spells, so like there are you know, there are
- 39:47Speaker 2: spells to defend yourself against imperial but if you're completely
- 39:50Speaker 2: taken off guard, we obviously talked about like there are
- 39:53Speaker 2: some witches and wizards that are really skilled and wantless magic.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Somebody could be hiding. I don't know what's the what's
- 40:00Speaker 2: the range for imperio? Can you be ten feet away
- 40:03Speaker 2: from someone hiding behind a bush and it's enough to work?
- 40:08Speaker 1: Like I just feel like probably, I feel like.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Right, like how do you how do you defend yourself
- 40:13Speaker 2: in that way? Like you you just can't And that's terrifying.
- 40:18Speaker 2: And I think that's exactly why I kind of added
- 40:21Speaker 2: the other two forgivable curses here, Like I think Avata
- 40:26Speaker 2: cadavra is terrifying to just literally have somebody say two
- 40:31Speaker 2: words and you're dead. Yeah, I think the also very
- 40:39Speaker 2: similar to everything we just talked about with Imperio. I
- 40:41Speaker 2: think is also the same for a Vata cadavra, and
- 40:47Speaker 2: it just I think what's so scary about it is
- 40:49Speaker 2: how quick and easy. I use easy with a grain
- 40:54Speaker 2: of salt, because again, like we said, these curses are
- 40:57Speaker 2: not meant to be easy for anybody to do, but
- 41:01Speaker 2: for people that have mastered the unforgivable curses, it is
- 41:05Speaker 2: very easy for them to do it right, and for.
- 41:07Speaker 1: People who have the intent to do it.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Right, it's just it's so easy. You just say the
- 41:15Speaker 2: two words, and that's just really scary, like to just
- 41:18Speaker 2: be like I'm just okay and now I'm gone. And
- 41:23Speaker 2: I think we see it a lot like in the story.
- 41:25Speaker 2: We see it, I think especially with I think instantly
- 41:30Speaker 2: of like Sirius as death and just how quickly you know.
- 41:35Speaker 2: And obviously his is more complicated because there's a veil
- 41:37Speaker 2: and we don't know exactly what happened there. But yeah,
- 41:41Speaker 2: I don't know it's just having a spell to kill
- 41:44Speaker 2: somebody is just scary to me. And then also I
- 41:49Speaker 2: added Crusio because again for the exact same reasons we
- 41:54Speaker 2: just talked about with Imperio and Avatic Cadavra, the abil
- 42:00Speaker 2: to just inflict that amount of pain on somebody with
- 42:03Speaker 2: one simple word.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Yeah, that is Yes, that would be like probably my
- 42:11Speaker 1: second most scary because you're just in pain and there's
- 42:15Speaker 1: no like, it's not going to end until.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Until they end it mm hmm. And so it's kind
- 42:23Speaker 2: of exactly like to your point with Imperio, like the
- 42:26Speaker 2: loss of control. It's one thing to be in a
- 42:29Speaker 2: duel with somebody and to get stunned or get knocked
- 42:32Speaker 2: off your feet, you can, you know, get back up
- 42:36Speaker 2: or you have like you know, you can throw another
- 42:39Speaker 2: spell to defend yourself. But if you're like getting Crusiod,
- 42:44Speaker 2: like there's like nothing you can do right.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Your mind's not going to be working enough in the
- 42:49Speaker 1: moments you're.
- 42:50Speaker 2: In so much pain. Yeah, it's just terrify. It's terrifying, terrifying, terrifying. Yeah, nope,
- 42:58Speaker 2: yep no. And then I also added.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Obliviate, very similar to imperial.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Yes, and just very similar to all of these again
- 43:09Speaker 2: the same theme of just how one word can just
- 43:15Speaker 2: like just erase your mid I mean, you know, and
- 43:19Speaker 2: it's in the thing is I actually can see obliviate
- 43:22Speaker 2: being used for good, especially I think of like being
- 43:29Speaker 2: able to remove traumatic memories for people. Obviously we see
- 43:34Speaker 2: it used in the series to help protect people when
- 43:39Speaker 2: it becomes that desperate, right, But I think that, like
- 43:45Speaker 2: it's really scary and especially if you come across somebody
- 43:49Speaker 2: who's very skilled in obliviate, what's stopping them from like
- 43:57Speaker 2: just doing it to you?
- 43:58Speaker 1: Right?
- 43:59Speaker 2: And like what what do you do? What do you like?
- 44:05Speaker 1: And thing about like how your memories and everything that
- 44:12Speaker 1: you've gone through, how much that affects who you are
- 44:16Speaker 1: and the choices you make. Like if that's just all
- 44:20Speaker 1: taken away, then it's like, okay, who are you? Like
- 44:25Speaker 1: what I feel like that would just alter more than
- 44:28Speaker 1: just your memory. It's going to alter your personality. It's
- 44:31Speaker 1: going to alter your relationships, it's going to alter like
- 44:35Speaker 1: your entire lifestyle. Like that's that. Yeah, that's a big one.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Yeah, It's just scary to me that we have a
- 44:45Speaker 2: spell that can do something like that. Well, I mean
- 44:47Speaker 2: we don't actually have a spell that you know what
- 44:49Speaker 2: I mean, if it was a big world, they have
- 44:52Speaker 2: a spe that can do that, all.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Right, So to kind of lighten up the conversation a
- 44:58Speaker 1: little bit. Next category is best party trick. There's so
- 45:03Speaker 1: many we could pick for this. I went with disillusionment mm,
- 45:09Speaker 1: because I mean that's just fun, like you just disappear
- 45:12Speaker 1: and like sneak up on people, move things around.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Yeah, who needs an invisibility cloak?
- 45:19Speaker 1: Just use this term.
- 45:23Speaker 2: I went with puretonum locomotor. Obviously, like our exposure to
- 45:29Speaker 2: this spell in the series is used in a serious way. Now,
- 45:37Speaker 2: see it was serious, but she also was like giddy
- 45:41Speaker 2: and like who I wanted to use that? So I
- 45:43Speaker 2: think for McGonagall, like that was her party trick. But yeah,
- 45:47Speaker 2: we see it used in a serious way. But I
- 45:49Speaker 2: also can see this being used in a very like
- 45:53Speaker 2: non serious way, right to just bring inanimate objects to life.
- 45:56Speaker 2: And I don't know if it's necessarily like a party trick.
- 46:01Speaker 2: I kind of had a little bit of trouble like
- 46:02Speaker 2: thinking of ones for this one, but I think that
- 46:04Speaker 2: like there's something funny that you could do with that. Yeah,
- 46:10Speaker 2: and like similar vein, I also thought about in Gorgeo,
- 46:16Speaker 2: and I just think of like so many options, Yeah,
- 46:20Speaker 2: like with like mad Ie Moody, like in Gorgeifying. I
- 46:23Speaker 2: don't know if that's the word, but you know what
- 46:24Speaker 2: I mean, making bigger the fighter, and I just think
- 46:28Speaker 2: that there's a lot of like fun things that you
- 46:30Speaker 2: could do within Gorgio.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I like it.
- 46:35Speaker 2: All right.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Moving on to most ridiculous. I have to admit that
- 46:41Speaker 1: I made this category just so I could bring out
- 46:43Speaker 1: this spell because this has always bugged me and I've
- 46:47Speaker 1: always just kind of been like why And that's the
- 46:50Speaker 1: bat bogie hecks, like what why? Why was this even developed?
- 46:55Speaker 1: Why was someone like I'm going to make a spell
- 46:58Speaker 1: that makes your boogers in your nose turn into tiny
- 47:02Speaker 1: bats like what why?
- 47:05Speaker 2: And aggressively fly out.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Like if that happened to me? I just like what,
- 47:13Speaker 1: Like Okay.
- 47:16Speaker 2: I mean I guess, like are you using this kind
- 47:18Speaker 2: of spell and like an offensive way during a due
- 47:24Speaker 2: But like I just feel like there's so many other
- 47:27Speaker 2: feels that are better for that.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't do anything. It's I don't think that
- 47:32Speaker 1: it would like effect how your opponent comes at you.
- 47:36Speaker 2: I feel like it would hurt though, Like My question is,
- 47:41Speaker 2: are they this maybe this one that our best topic.
- 47:46Speaker 2: But okay, hear me, right, are they? How do I
- 47:53Speaker 2: want to say it booger shaped bats, not booger shaped
- 47:58Speaker 2: booger sized, because if the mucus and the bookers are
- 48:05Speaker 2: turning into bats, but they stay the size of mucus
- 48:08Speaker 2: and boogers, then that doesn't really hurt. It might just
- 48:12Speaker 2: tickle as they develop wings and start flying out. But
- 48:16Speaker 2: if this charm or packs or spell or whatever you
- 48:19Speaker 2: want to call it turns your boogers into bats, like
- 48:27Speaker 2: that is going to hurt.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that would hurt.
- 48:32Speaker 2: And how do they even how does that work? Now?
- 48:38Speaker 2: I just googled it really quick and it does say
- 48:42Speaker 2: from the Harry Potter wikie large aggressive bats that fly
- 48:47Speaker 2: out of your nose.
- 48:48Speaker 1: So it's like maybe this hack somehow incorporates the same
- 48:52Speaker 1: magic that Ingorgeo uses.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Maybe, I mean, I guess My question is is that
- 49:02Speaker 2: so the key details right? So when it gorges your boggers,
- 49:07Speaker 2: gives them wings and basically they start attacking your face.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Oh I didn't realize that they like attacked you too.
- 49:17Speaker 2: I mean, they're large aggressive bats that all of a
- 49:20Speaker 2: sudden as I feel like they're gonna kind of be like, oh,
- 49:23Speaker 2: I want if they come out and then maybe start
- 49:24Speaker 2: attacking you.
- 49:26Speaker 1: I mean, even if even if they attack your face,
- 49:32Speaker 1: this spell is still just kind of ridiculous to me.
- 49:34Speaker 2: I don't know, it is I feel like there's better
- 49:37Speaker 2: I feel I mean, this does talk about the effect
- 49:39Speaker 2: is like to cause distraction and intense embarrassment. And apparently
- 49:43Speaker 2: the danger level is only moderate for humans, but it's
- 49:46Speaker 2: fatal if used on like non human animals. But I
- 49:50Speaker 2: just have like a lot of questions about it because like, oh,
- 49:53Speaker 2: really funny. So actually on Google under fan interpretations, it
- 49:59Speaker 2: says on the Harry Potter reddit thread, several fans have
- 50:05Speaker 2: expressed mixed opinions on exactly what I said earlier. Are
- 50:09Speaker 2: they fully formed regular animals bats or are they slimy?
- 50:14Speaker 2: It's not like green creatures. I think we need to
- 50:16Speaker 2: know that because I cannot physically see how a full
- 50:21Speaker 2: fledged blat comes out of your nose, we might need
- 50:24Speaker 2: to put this in the scariest category of that's.
- 50:26Speaker 1: The case, But like this needs to be clarified.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I mean, obviously we know that
- 50:34Speaker 2: Ginny uses this and Draco and he survives, and so like,
- 50:37Speaker 2: it must not be that terrifying.
- 50:39Speaker 1: But I feel like it's more of like a joke
- 50:41Speaker 1: X I think so really like.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Yeah, meant to inflict like pain, even though it sounds
- 50:49Speaker 2: very painful. Yeah, it's yeah. And the person who came
- 50:55Speaker 2: up with a spell like why like why are you
- 50:57Speaker 2: just sitting around and you're like, I'm just gonna make
- 50:58Speaker 2: your boogers turn into.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Bad you know, it was probably like a twelve year
- 51:02Speaker 1: old boy now had this dream and then grew up
- 51:05Speaker 1: to develop this spouse.
- 51:07Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know how true this is, but
- 51:09Speaker 2: according to Google, the inventor was the famous wizarding author
- 51:13Speaker 2: Miranda Goshock.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Okay, Miranda, Like why all right, I.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Don't again, I don't know how true that is, but yeah,
- 51:29Speaker 2: interesting anyways. Yeah, I think it's definitely a joke. I
- 51:33Speaker 2: think it's definitely something that all the young kids would
- 51:36Speaker 2: do to each other. But I agree that it's just
- 51:39Speaker 2: kind of ridiculous when you think about it. So of
- 51:44Speaker 2: a similar vein I thought of sluguless erecto, which we
- 51:51Speaker 2: see this happening to ron mm hmm, and it makes
- 51:57Speaker 2: someone kind of uncontrollably like vomits slugs, and I, I
- 52:00Speaker 2: guess I just like don't understand what this accomplishes other
- 52:03Speaker 2: than just being really uncomfortable and really gross. And I
- 52:07Speaker 2: guess it's funny for the other people, but this would
- 52:10Speaker 2: be like one of my worst nightmares. Yeah, it's pretty gross.
- 52:15Speaker 2: I just think it's ridiculous, Like why, like right, just yeah,
- 52:21Speaker 2: why yeah? And then the last one I thought of
- 52:25Speaker 2: was Taran Telegra, which like very similar to cantus. This
- 52:29Speaker 2: one makes the victim dance uncontrollably right, and that also
- 52:35Speaker 2: sounds kind of ridiculous. But again, I think these all
- 52:38Speaker 2: have that like comical component to it. Maybe it would
- 52:42Speaker 2: be really funny to be like dueling a death theater
- 52:45Speaker 2: and use Terran Telegra on them and cantas at the
- 52:48Speaker 2: same time they can sing and dance and then you
- 52:51Speaker 2: just humiliate them. But I think it's kind of just
- 52:54Speaker 2: really ridiculous that someone's like, you know, I'm going to
- 52:56Speaker 2: come up with a spell that's going to make you
- 52:58Speaker 2: dance uncontrollably right, Like yeah, it's just kind of ridiculous.
- 53:05Speaker 1: Mm hmmm. Uh all right, So next category is most versatile.
- 53:16Speaker 1: So first one for me, I thought of aguamentee, because
- 53:20Speaker 1: I feel like there's just a lot of different situations
- 53:22Speaker 1: where you might need water, you know, obviously to drink,
- 53:28Speaker 1: if you needed to cook something and you needed water,
- 53:34Speaker 1: if you needed to like wash something like powerwash with
- 53:38Speaker 1: your wand conjuring to put out fire like all that stuff. Like,
- 53:44Speaker 1: I feel like aquament is pretty versatile. I agree. And
- 53:50Speaker 1: then my other one finite incantatum. I mean, if it
- 53:55Speaker 1: can basically undo like most spells, that seems pretty versatile
- 54:00Speaker 1: and like you could be using that quite a bit.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I know we already talked about like repair O,
- 54:10Speaker 2: but I also put that in this category because I
- 54:14Speaker 2: just think that all the different things that you could
- 54:18Speaker 2: use it to repair, I think it could be a
- 54:20Speaker 2: very versatile spell for you. I also added impervious here,
- 54:27Speaker 2: which is the spell that makes an object like repel
- 54:30Speaker 2: water and missed, and so I thought of this because
- 54:34Speaker 2: as a glasses wearer, this would be really helpful. But
- 54:38Speaker 2: also I think about like our cars, and if we
- 54:41Speaker 2: could just like impervious the windshields, Like imagine how like
- 54:45Speaker 2: good that would be when you're driving and it's like
- 54:48Speaker 2: downpouring using impervious on your shoes, could you save yourself
- 54:55Speaker 2: from needing an umbrella. If you just impervious, could you
- 54:57Speaker 2: impervious yourself or your clothing.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Previous your hair?
- 55:01Speaker 2: Oh, oh my god, any be a light? Oh my god,
- 55:06Speaker 2: that would be so great. And for our listeners, I
- 55:09Speaker 2: have like naturally like very curly hair, and I straighten
- 55:12Speaker 2: my hair, and so it's always a struggle to like
- 55:15Speaker 2: go in pools or in water or like if it
- 55:18Speaker 2: starts raining, because I'm like, oh my god, my hair
- 55:20Speaker 2: is gonna curl. And so like this would be the humidity.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, ye see, very versatile.
- 55:27Speaker 1: See mine's not as curly, but I get the poof
- 55:31Speaker 1: from humidity, right, the volume grows outward. That's really helpful.
- 55:37Speaker 2: Yes, So I think that this this maybe this is
- 55:40Speaker 2: definitely a spell that probably could have gone into the
- 55:43Speaker 2: most useful category. But I also think it could be
- 55:45Speaker 2: very versatile because I think you just think of like
- 55:50Speaker 2: because we see impervious used in the series in a
- 55:54Speaker 2: glasses kind of way, like Harry's Quidditch goggles. But once
- 55:57Speaker 2: I started really thinking about this, I really start been
- 56:00Speaker 2: thinking about all the different ways it would be really
- 56:02Speaker 2: helpful to repel water.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Yeah, so yeah, all right, and then our last category
- 56:11Speaker 1: is most life changing if available in the Muggle world
- 56:16Speaker 1: besides impervious.
- 56:20Speaker 2: That would be very life changing. Actually, yes, so.
- 56:24Speaker 1: I thought of the cheering charm. I think this could
- 56:28Speaker 1: just be really helpful overall in like treating depression and
- 56:33Speaker 1: things of that nature. And then a nap neo which
- 56:40Speaker 1: clears the airway and stops choking. That's life changing. Like yeah,
- 56:52Speaker 1: and then my last one I had for this was portois,
- 56:56Speaker 1: which is used to make a port key. So I mean,
- 56:59Speaker 1: think about how small the world got as soon as
- 57:02Speaker 1: we got the Internet. Imagine being able to just like
- 57:06Speaker 1: travel somewhere anywhere in the world within minutes just by
- 57:10Speaker 1: transfiguring something into a poor key like.
- 57:15Speaker 2: That.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd be pretty cool.
- 57:21Speaker 2: Yeah, And I put I agree with all of those,
- 57:24Speaker 2: and I also I put a piskey in this category
- 57:27Speaker 2: as well. And also I guess brackiam a mendo because
- 57:31Speaker 2: I just think that, yeah, if we just had a
- 57:34Speaker 2: spell like in the real world to be able to
- 57:36Speaker 2: heal things, like, just how much easier would that, Like, yeah,
- 57:43Speaker 2: you don't even need to be on crutches, or like
- 57:45Speaker 2: you could make somebody, you could heal somebody quicker, and
- 57:48Speaker 2: maybe avoid further complications, and just yeah, a big part
- 57:52Speaker 2: of our Muggle world is healing in medicine, and I
- 57:57Speaker 2: just think of how life changing it would be to
- 57:58Speaker 2: have spells that could very quickly treat people medically. And
- 58:04Speaker 2: then also I put Scourgeify entogio because I hate cleaning,
- 58:09Speaker 2: and I think a lot of people hate cleaning, and
- 58:11Speaker 2: I think a lot of people hate how long cleaning
- 58:14Speaker 2: takes and how much effort it takes. And if we
- 58:18Speaker 2: just literally had spells that could help us clean, yeah,
- 58:24Speaker 2: imagine how much time we'd get back. You wouldn't have
- 58:28Speaker 2: to waste a day of your two days off a
- 58:30Speaker 2: week to clean. It would just be like it would
- 58:33Speaker 2: be life changing.
- 58:34Speaker 1: I mean, I feel like you could use Scorgefy to
- 58:37Speaker 1: do your laundry too.
- 58:39Speaker 2: So yeah, I did hours of laundry over the last
- 58:44Speaker 2: couple of days. Those are hours of my life I
- 58:48Speaker 2: can't get.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Back, right, I know my washing machine is currently broken.
- 58:53Speaker 1: If I just had Scorgeify right, be so much simpler,
- 59:02Speaker 1: all right, So, yeah, lots of spells. There's like way
- 59:08Speaker 1: more spells than I feel like I usually think of.
- 59:14Speaker 1: So it's kind of fun to go through and remind
- 59:16Speaker 1: ourselves of different ones specialis Ravilio. All right, so four
- 59:34Speaker 1: our rotating segments. I figured these three would come up,
- 59:39Speaker 1: and they did, thanks to Nicole.
- 59:42Speaker 2: So we're going to go through the etymology you brought up, Imperio.
- 59:47Speaker 1: I did. I did one third of this is my fault.
- 59:53Speaker 1: But we're going to go through the etymology of the
- 59:55Speaker 1: three unforgivable curses. So for step, we've got the killing
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: curse of Atta Cadavra. So this incantation of atta cadabra
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: actually comes from the Aramaic spell of the same incantation,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: which means let the thing be destroyed. And we do
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: actually have a quote about this from JK. Rowling. So
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: back in two thousand and four there was a live
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: event at the Edinburgh Book Festival and she said, quote,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: it is an ancient spell in Aramaic and it is
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: the original of abracadabra, which means let the thing be destroyed.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Originally it was used to cure illness, and the thing
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: was the illness, but I decided to make it the thing,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: as in the person standing in front of me. So yeah,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: that makes sense, which I mean, I think it's funny
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: because a lot of different translations of the books do
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: have a that a cadaver come up as abracadabra, so
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: it makes sense because it's kind of like variations off
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: of it.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: I think people still confuse them kind of to this day.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: They do.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: So. Also, notably, cadavra also sounds very similar to cadaver,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: which we know is a corpse or a dead body.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: In cadaver is derived from the Latin kadare, which means
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: to fall. So then we have the imperious curse or imperio.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: This is derived from Latin imperium, which means supreme power, command, rule,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: et cetera. And obviously I mean, as with most Latin
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: root words, you can see where this relates in our
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: English language today with like words like imperial and empire.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: So coming from that same root, imperio, which is the
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: incantation of the curse, is also a Latin word with
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: basically the same exact meaning as imperium, but just a
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: grammatical difference in where and how you put the words
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: in a sentence. So you know, like we have nouns,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: verbs all that that kind of situation. And then lastly
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: we've got the cruciatis curse or crucio, and crisiotis is
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Latin for tormented, tortured, or agony, and the incantation crucio
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: is also Latin and translate to I torture, So pretty
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: spot on. Yep, it's not a lot of confusion there.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Both words are derived from the root word crux, which
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: means cross or steak, like used in execution methods like
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: burning or crucifixion, which you can also see the relation
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: between crucio and crucifi. So yeah, it's all about torture, sonoys.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: So on our last episode where we talked all about
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Wisdom World theme park food, we asked the question what
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: is your favorite Wisdom World theme park food? We got
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: a couple answers, so Jerry shared that she said, well,
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: if my favorite Wisdom World food means what I have
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: had every time I go to a Worsden World theme park,
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: then it has to be butter beer hot in cold
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: weather and or early in the morning. So again, hot
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: rains frozen when it is hot, as I am impacted
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: badly by heat, and the frozen butterbeer hopes cool me
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: down and doesn't slash around in the cup if I
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: drink and walk at the same time. And Jerry also
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: loves the French design souvenir mugs.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: They're really cool.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, she said, there's so much cooler than the
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: ones in the Legacy parks. Jerry said one food spot
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: that she missed in our fun episode was the food
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: truck in London across from Grimmeld Place and the night bus.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: That is true, we did forget to include that that
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: sells mainly jacket potatoes. Jerry said, I have frequently purchased
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: a jacket potato from the spot when Hungary and the
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: lines to get into the Leaky Cauldron were very long
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: and one can eat while standing in line for the
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Hogwarts Express. Well, Jerry, you'll have to maybe try some
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: of the new jacket style potatoes or baked potatoes that
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: are available. Was I hit three broomsticks? I feel like
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: I should remember.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Yes, Yes, I'm also a big fan of this jacket
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: potato cart. I like to get a potato and like
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: sit at that fountain area and just enjoy it.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Yeah. I've never gotten any room from this cart before,
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: which is really surprising. Yeah, that might have to happen
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: next time I'm at Universal. But anyways, Jerry also said
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: that you could also eat while standing in line for
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: the Hogwarts Express. Jerry said that she also loves Florine
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Fordes Who's ice cream Parlor. Her favorite flavors are the strawberry,
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: peanut butter, and huckleberry and she also said that she
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: tried the clotted cream ones and although real clouded cream
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: is something I love when visiting the UK, found it
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: to be disappointing boof wow.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: So maybe it's good that they're always out of it, Nicole.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: I know I talked about in the last episode that
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: I think that that might become my favorite if I
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: can eventually get it. But we'll see. I'll have to
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: let you know, Jerry, if I ever get a chance
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: to try it and what I think of it.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: So.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Jerry also adds that she loves sitting outside at the
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: French Cafe in Epic and had a great tip about
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: mobile ordering snacksty Inline at the Cirque Arcana show. She
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: also adds that Universal is overall very good about having
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: food options for various dietary needs. Although she said there's
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: no gluten free option for the butterbeer crep or waffle.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: Jerry says there is a secret gluten free the pancake
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: available at the leaky cauldron, and she's going to try
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: and ask if they would put the butter beer waffle
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: toppings on that gluten free pancake next time.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: She goes that's a good idea.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely let us know if that works because I
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: would love to share that. From alder Hollows on Instagram,
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: they shared that their favorite food are the three broomstick ribs, gingernuts,
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: and butter beer is a given and I do believe.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: We also engaged further with alder Hallows and asked what
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: is your favorite form of butter beer and alder Hallows
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: said hot, so again but there it is supreme. Yes.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: And then lastly, Carolyn shared that the Flour seventy five
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: from bar Moonshine is her favorite and she said it's
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: one of the best mixed drinks that she's ever had.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Wow. High praise, very high praise. I did not try
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: that one when we all win, I had a sip
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: of several of the different ones because we all ordered
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: different things. That was not one that I tried. So
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: here it is on the bar Moonshine menu. It says
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: London dry gin, elderflower licor broot, sparkling wine, lemon juice,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: simple Syrup and lemon spiral. So the discussion question for
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: this episode is what spell do you wish you could

- 1:08:04Speaker 1: streak of two hour long episodes, so that's good.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: Yeah, this might I wonder if this is one of,
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: like our shortest I don't know what our shortest episode is.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: I'd have to go back and see, but this one
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: might be it are close.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: I don't know, I feel like we've had shorter.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: This is good.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: This is a good, like editable length.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: Yes, and hopefully this will also be a good palatable
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: length for your listening years after you heard us talk
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: about food for like two and a half hours, so yeah, yeah, no, this.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Was fun until next time. I'm Amy and I'm Nicole.
