- 0:13Speaker 1: ben So Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 0:35Speaker 3: All right, welcome again our number two OTV one O
- 0:38Speaker 3: four five ESPN. Ben Rude So talking a lot of things.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Tyron Matthews, he retires yesterday, and this is a year
- 0:47Speaker 3: that you know, guys officially retiring, Guys surprise retiring, like Tyron,
- 0:53Speaker 3: we mentioned it. Jimmy Graham was yesterday as well. Philip
- 0:56Speaker 3: Rivers was the day before that. Patrick Peterson officially retired
- 1:01Speaker 3: this year. Nothing makes you feel older. To me, there's
- 1:06Speaker 3: a couple of things that make me feel old when
- 1:09Speaker 3: guys start retiring that we're older, like older than you
- 1:12Speaker 3: or you played with or even guys like tiring that
- 1:15Speaker 3: are younger than you. And then also like seeing your
- 1:20Speaker 3: teammates or guys you played against, sons going into college
- 1:24Speaker 3: football in the NFL.
- 1:25Speaker 2: That really makes you feel old.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Yeah, It's like Jeremiah Trotter junior played for the Eagles
- 1:31Speaker 3: last year. I'm like, oh, man I played against Jeremiah
- 1:33Speaker 3: Trotter one. Yeah, Irlackerson playing for Notre Dame.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Yeah, does a Frank Gored junior play somewhere.
- 1:42Speaker 3: He played at Southern Miss and now I think he's
- 1:44Speaker 3: practiced squa off the bills.
- 1:47Speaker 5: There's another one makes you feel really old. Thing Y's
- 1:50Speaker 5: fair with Elijah? What you were you born two thousand
- 1:55Speaker 5: and eight?
- 1:56Speaker 2: Mm hmm h eight A little bit eight? Yeah, I
- 2:03Speaker 2: was like, yeah, I was a rookie.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Wow, that's like John Runyon still drop these times though
- 2:09Speaker 3: getting paid. I'm like, oh cool, I played with his dad.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Play with that John Runyon. That's cool.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, all right.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Two thousand and eight, that hurts.
- 2:20Speaker 2: By the way, if two thousand that one, that one
- 2:22Speaker 2: cut deep.
- 2:23Speaker 3: If he doesn't end up at LSU, that's completely your fault.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I mean right, I can do all agree in the room.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I think there's a lot right Elijah Haven. If he
- 2:35Speaker 3: doesn't end up at l s U flynts's quarterback coach,
- 2:38Speaker 3: it's without questions.
- 2:42Speaker 6: Because you're also supposed to be like low key recruiting him,
- 2:45Speaker 6: minus the low key, like.
- 2:47Speaker 3: The highest aid.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm you.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Are a representative of LSU because it will be your
- 2:54Speaker 6: fault if Haven does not commit to Louisiana.
- 2:58Speaker 2: State.
- 3:00Speaker 4: On him, because not only do you have to have
- 3:02Speaker 4: no doubt your fault if he doesn't go to L SHU,
- 3:04Speaker 4: it's Matt's fault if he doesn't pan out in college
- 3:07Speaker 4: anywhere he goes.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It's kind of also about I think everybody has human beings.
- 3:12Speaker 7: Career is in your hands.
- 3:13Speaker 5: I think everybody is human beings want other, really good
- 3:17Speaker 5: human beings to do what's best for them. Right, That's
- 3:21Speaker 5: how I feel, at least, well, what's best for human beings,
- 3:25Speaker 5: especially ones that are good.
- 3:26Speaker 6: Okay, so let me ask you this. If he's ever like, hey,
- 3:29Speaker 6: what do you think? Do you think I should go
- 3:31Speaker 6: to L s U? Are you like I think you
- 3:33Speaker 6: should do whatever you think is best?
- 3:35Speaker 2: I say, let's lay up, let's let's lay out the facts.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Do you give like ls better than Lshu's facts.
- 3:44Speaker 4: It's like creative proves and comms lost.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Mmm, I mean, conn, you got over there, but we're
- 3:48Speaker 3: gonna keep it all ball. Wow. Just I'm just letting
- 3:52Speaker 3: y'all know. Now. I don't know that L shoes recruiting
- 3:55Speaker 3: any fullbacks, but if they were and I was working
- 3:59Speaker 3: with them. You get one choice. B yeah, one, actually
- 4:03Speaker 3: you got two choices. You got to you can go
- 4:05Speaker 3: to the service academies or you can go to else here.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Yeah, just subtenly do it, not like just show up
- 4:11Speaker 4: where you're old like like.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Work. I do.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Throw the old cleats on.
- 4:17Speaker 5: And there are green and yellow cleats fourteen and they're.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Even purple Goldlease, but what are we doing? This is
- 4:29Speaker 3: this is not this whole This is shocking. Actually this
- 4:32Speaker 3: started out as a bit, and now I'm getting kind
- 4:35Speaker 3: of mad.
- 4:35Speaker 7: It's getting sorry.
- 4:36Speaker 3: As what a bit?
- 4:37Speaker 5: A bit, yeah, but a bit. So I was just like, amazing,
- 4:44Speaker 5: amazingly good person.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Okay, yes, yeah we need we need those guys at
- 4:48Speaker 3: L Shoes.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree. But I'm there to help guide, help
- 4:54Speaker 2: guide his coaches.
- 4:56Speaker 5: His coaches, His coaches had done him, do a great job.
- 4:58Speaker 5: They got him on the field. I just helping them
- 5:01Speaker 5: in the shout out. I'm just there trying to help mechanics,
- 5:06Speaker 5: a little bit of the mental stuff.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I mean, Elijah, if you're listening, Lamar Brown committed l
- 5:11Speaker 3: s U. So my job's done there.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Right, You gotta you gotta, you gotta hold up your
- 5:17Speaker 4: end of the deal. You got you got his coaches
- 5:20Speaker 4: guide him. You guide him to l S Huh, you're
- 5:24Speaker 4: the You're the private coach man.
- 5:25Speaker 2: You can do whatever you want.
- 5:27Speaker 5: I think you know, we all like know what we want. Okay,
- 5:30Speaker 5: mm I don't like that. I'd love to see it
- 5:32Speaker 5: the more the worst.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Gonna push him though, kidding.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Me, I'm not kidding you at all. Just that top
- 5:43Speaker 3: player in the country plays quarterback m Baton Rouge gets
- 5:48Speaker 3: worked out by a former l s U National championship
- 5:51Speaker 3: winning quarterback.
- 5:54Speaker 7: Wait okay, sid Bo Bowden.
- 5:56Speaker 6: Bowden in the chat says Elijah Haven is a celebrity
- 5:59Speaker 6: waiter as well.
- 5:59Speaker 7: He just can't serve alcohol and I just went to
- 6:01Speaker 7: go see it he is.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Okay, Elianja's on the case. I feel better about it.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I feel better about it. True.
- 6:08Speaker 7: I can talk to today.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Yeahty, you got ted LSU. You can talk to him
- 6:11Speaker 3: all you want.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah, have you spoken? Have you talked to him before?
- 6:14Speaker 6: Brittany and I so last season she did like a
- 6:18Speaker 6: high school prep video series that she did, so we
- 6:23Speaker 6: that was actually the done him was the first school
- 6:25Speaker 6: we went to and we talked to Elijah and a
- 6:26Speaker 6: couple other kids, and yeah, he's a great kid.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Ye.
- 6:31Speaker 7: Yeah, and that's even better.
- 6:33Speaker 6: Like you're already participating in like a fundraising event.
- 6:38Speaker 7: That's awesome.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Yeah, of course everybody wants him to go to show.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Everybody does also like we got it, but like I
- 6:45Speaker 5: hate I don't feel comfortable saying, hey man.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Because it kind of heard a laundro But like he
- 6:51Speaker 4: got a lot of donations and tips and he wound
- 6:53Speaker 4: up winning.
- 6:55Speaker 2: You feel better about the YELSU fans.
- 6:56Speaker 7: He would. But if you're listening, I want you to tip.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Yeah, But but I'm also in the fox on.
- 7:01Speaker 2: I want to line you to win.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Let me ask you this hold on now, Okay, go ahead, yeah,
- 7:05Speaker 3: go ahead, because I need clarification because I've only talked
- 7:08Speaker 3: to one junior.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Let's say one if you're.
- 7:10Speaker 3: In high school and his name is wit Weeks and
- 7:13Speaker 3: he's pretty good.
- 7:13Speaker 2: One of your children. Yeah, okay, the top recruit.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Yeah, are you telling him you're not going on any visits.
- 7:21Speaker 5: You're not keeping an open mind, you are not gonna
- 7:24Speaker 5: do it best for you.
- 7:26Speaker 3: You want the real answer, if you got to offer
- 7:28Speaker 3: from l s U, If you could offer from LSU
- 7:32Speaker 3: and his last name is Hester, purple.
- 7:35Speaker 5: And gold, Okay, what would you would say immediately, don't
- 7:42Speaker 5: don't go and at least talk to people.
- 7:45Speaker 3: I would say, you can't go to A and m Florida,
- 7:49Speaker 3: Alabamare you go?
- 7:50Speaker 2: Okay? I got it, I got it. That's love that
- 7:53Speaker 2: those were a.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Little Michigan in there, like USC in there, Miami in there.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Especially this day and age, I think kids that are
- 8:05Speaker 5: getting recruited, I think they should go and talk and
- 8:09Speaker 5: visit and see it because you can change your mind.
- 8:12Speaker 5: So as I want kids to have conviction when they
- 8:14Speaker 5: make decisions. I want them to have an educated decision
- 8:18Speaker 5: because if not, they're gonna leave in.
- 8:20Speaker 2: A year because they can.
- 8:24Speaker 5: But if they actually go through their recruiting process responsibly
- 8:29Speaker 5: and actually talk to different coaches and go see different things,
- 8:33Speaker 5: then they make the decision. And I think it's a
- 8:35Speaker 5: little bit more solidified or has the potential to be
- 8:38Speaker 5: at least.
- 8:40Speaker 2: I think you'll do the same.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I will all jokes aside and piling on Flynn here.
- 8:48Speaker 3: It was funny because my son is very gifted mentally,
- 8:56Speaker 3: like compared to me or Flynn, and I was like, Uh,
- 9:01Speaker 3: if you don't get an l U offer, uh. Stanford, Vanderbilt,
- 9:06Speaker 3: Northwestern like, those are the schools we're looking at. Like,
- 9:10Speaker 3: I'm not letting you go to big State U unless
- 9:12Speaker 3: Big State U is l s U.
- 9:17Speaker 2: You guys in the chatter, funny, lookie that's Flint.
- 9:22Speaker 5: Does Flint recommend my high to Haven or just suggests
- 9:24Speaker 5: you make the best decision for him?
- 9:27Speaker 7: Very good question.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Yeah, you're like, hey, liquid IV's out there as well.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:33Speaker 5: No, I'm not saying like, get mine, Like, I'm not
- 9:35Speaker 5: saying my decision for you and your hydration.
- 9:38Speaker 3: If you think liquid you know, maybe is better, you
- 9:42Speaker 3: should test the waters, you know.
- 9:43Speaker 4: He's like, I don't want you to get liquid IV
- 9:45Speaker 4: to help me out. I mean, I'll tell my high
- 9:47Speaker 4: to help me out.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I want you to get it because it's what you
- 9:49Speaker 3: want to Yeah, how about that. Now he hates.
- 10:00Speaker 2: You get suck.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Hey, It's okay, like if if Hey, if you mess
- 10:03Speaker 3: up and you don't get him here, there's an evangel
- 10:06Speaker 3: quarterback that's also like a top ten quarterback in the country,
- 10:09Speaker 3: I'll just take over. It's fine, I'll get him here.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Look, I'm okay, a little uncomfortable spot.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Yeah, and you're making it known and it's the best.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I know I get it. That's what I had Chad
- 10:28Speaker 2: GBT do.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I'm actually kind of nervous.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I had Chad GB two right, Mia football retirement speech.
- 10:38Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, let's do this. Let's do this all right
- 10:41Speaker 3: when we come back, because you're going to officially retire
- 10:48Speaker 3: eight year NFL VET, eight year, eight year NFL veteran,
- 10:52Speaker 3: Super Bowl champion, National champion quarterback Matthew Clayton Flynn. We're
- 10:57Speaker 3: gonna do it right here.
- 10:58Speaker 2: On OTB off the bench.
- 11:04Speaker 3: We're gonna deflect the things that have him uncomfortable right now.

- 13:01Speaker 8: Generals gathered in the mass just like witches at black masses,
- 13:12Speaker 8: evil minds, a plot destruction.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Sorcerer.
- 13:19Speaker 3: All right, welcome back, gain OTV one of four five
- 13:21Speaker 3: ESPN Baton Rouge and this is today. It's been upon
- 13:28Speaker 3: us for well almost a decade. It's a big moment
- 13:32Speaker 3: here on O TV. There's retirement in the air. Patrick Peterson,
- 13:37Speaker 3: Philip Rivers, Jimmy Graham, Tyro, Matthew and our very own
- 13:43Speaker 3: Matt Fluin. Eight year NFL VET decided that it was time.
- 13:48Speaker 3: It was also time for him to hang up his cleats.
- 13:53Speaker 3: But the way the shoulder pads deflate the football, no
- 14:01Speaker 3: more pickskin being thrown around, and we're gonna give him
- 14:05Speaker 3: the floor for this moment to uh to find say
- 14:08Speaker 3: goodbye to the game he loves so much.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Thank you, Jake Landre Taylor, to save me all. I'm
- 14:21Speaker 5: gonna try to make it through this. Wow, this is
- 14:29Speaker 5: a little surreal. I didn't think this moment would feel
- 14:32Speaker 5: quite like this, but here we are. After a lot
- 14:36Speaker 5: of thought and some tough conversations with my family, coaches,
- 14:40Speaker 5: and the people closest to me, I've decided to.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Officially retire from the game of football.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Sport has been a part of my life for as
- 14:50Speaker 5: long as I can remember, from playing backyard ball in Tyler, Texas,
- 14:54Speaker 5: to win in a national championship at LSU, to stepping
- 14:58Speaker 5: onto the NFL fields with some of the best ever
- 15:00Speaker 5: play the game.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It's been one incredible ride.
- 15:03Speaker 5: I want to start by saying thank you to the
- 15:04Speaker 5: Green Bay Packers, the team that gave me my first
- 15:07Speaker 5: opportunity backing up Aaron Rodgers, learning from him being a
- 15:10Speaker 5: part of that locker room. Let's set the tone for
- 15:12Speaker 5: my entire career. I learned what it meant to prepare
- 15:15Speaker 5: like a propoe, to compete and stay ready.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Even if.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Even if you can do it, you can make it there.
- 15:24Speaker 5: I know, even if even if you're holding a clipboard
- 15:28Speaker 5: more than football that thought last year, it's tears to
- 15:42Speaker 5: the Seahawks, Raiders, Bills, Patriots. Thank you for trusting me,
- 15:48Speaker 5: for giving me a jersey, giving me a jersey, for
- 15:53Speaker 5: believing in what I could bring to your team, even
- 15:55Speaker 5: when that wasn't always a starting role. I know I
- 16:01Speaker 5: didn't have the flashiest career. I wasn't the face of
- 16:03Speaker 5: a franchise, but I was always proud to be the
- 16:06Speaker 5: guy who showed up, stayed ready, and did the work.
- 16:08Speaker 5: I'll never forget that game in Week seventeen against the
- 16:11Speaker 5: Lions in twenty twelve, That's a memory I'll hold on
- 16:14Speaker 5: to forever. For one afternoon, I felt like a rock star.
- 16:18Speaker 5: That's the beauty of this league. You never know when
- 16:20Speaker 5: your number will be called. When it is, you gotta
- 16:22Speaker 5: be ready to shine like my coach, is, teammates, trainers,
- 16:26Speaker 5: and ever.
- 16:27Speaker 2: We got to skip a few. This is emotional.
- 16:30Speaker 5: It's too emotional. I can't get it up. To my family,
- 16:33Speaker 5: especially my wife and kids. Thank you for the sacrifices,
- 16:36Speaker 5: the moves, the long nights, and the support through every
- 16:39Speaker 5: high and low. I couldn't have done this without you.
- 16:42Speaker 5: I'm leaving this game with a full heart. I got
- 16:45Speaker 5: to live my dream. I got to play quarterback in
- 16:47Speaker 5: the National Football League. That little kid in Texas never
- 16:50Speaker 5: imagined he'd make it this far. I don't know exactly
- 16:53Speaker 5: what next, but I knew though that I'll carry the
- 16:55Speaker 5: lessons from football into every chapter of my life. Leadership,
- 16:59Speaker 5: persevere parents, humility, and knowing how to laugh at yourself
- 17:02Speaker 5: when you get sacked five times and a half.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Football football gave me more than I could ever repay.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Now it's time to give back, to be there for
- 17:12Speaker 5: my family the way they were always there for me,
- 17:15Speaker 5: and maybe just maybe coach a few young quarterbacks and
- 17:19Speaker 5: remind them that it's not about how many starts you get,
- 17:21Speaker 5: it's about how you handle the moments you're given. Thank you, Football,
- 17:26Speaker 5: Thank you ever everyone. I'm forever grateful. Goodbye that.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Hell of a career, Matt of a career.
- 17:36Speaker 7: But oh my god, why was it roasty?
- 17:43Speaker 2: What were you sacked five times and a half? I
- 17:45Speaker 2: don't remember.
- 17:49Speaker 7: I doesn't forget.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Oh man, I don't want to get roasted by AI.
- 17:54Speaker 3: I'm an stay unretired.
- 17:57Speaker 5: GBT asked me if I wanted to get it rewritten
- 18:00Speaker 5: in first person. Matt Flynn is only one man. Matt
- 18:05Speaker 5: Flynn is retiring from the NFL today, he.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Won't, Thank god, I won't think so.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yeah, there it is people.
- 18:10Speaker 5: I mean, it's official, it's been it's been a long time.
- 18:13Speaker 5: But like Taylor said at the break, like I outlasted
- 18:17Speaker 5: Honey Badger, I retired after him.
- 18:21Speaker 3: You did, And Blake Miller says retired from football and
- 18:24Speaker 3: fires from recruiting, all in the same day.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Rats. Oh that's well done.
- 18:33Speaker 3: That's well done. You You got through that much better
- 18:36Speaker 3: than I was. Emotional. I couldn't that.
- 18:39Speaker 5: It's like when you spend your life doing something when
- 18:42Speaker 5: you finally turned the turn the page. God, I couldn't
- 18:47Speaker 5: make it sad, even if you're holding a clipboard more
- 18:51Speaker 5: than football.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Thanks listed.
- 18:54Speaker 3: The teams was like that was come on, much of
- 18:58Speaker 3: a journeyman.
- 18:58Speaker 2: This guy is let me read down all name.
- 19:00Speaker 3: I'm gonna do mine during the braid, just to just
- 19:03Speaker 3: to laugh myself. It's probably gonna talk retired to maybe.
- 19:07Speaker 2: No, it'll it'll, it'll roast you. It'll be like, Jake,
- 19:09Speaker 2: what's a fool? What I'm saying?
- 19:11Speaker 6: It's gonna definitely do What did Deon Sanders say he
- 19:13Speaker 6: got a fridge on his back?
- 19:15Speaker 3: Oh god, God, what did he say, mmmm, were you here?
- 19:21Speaker 3: Were you here? That?
- 19:22Speaker 7: I still t bob.
- 19:25Speaker 3: God, he said something, so I hope Colorado wins two games.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Prime talking ish while I'm running in for a touchdown
- 19:32Speaker 3: that I was waiting on a whistle to be blown
- 19:34Speaker 3: because I didn't think it was gonna count judging my speed,
- 19:40Speaker 3: I'll beat you right.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Now, little little stubby legs.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I feel confident in saying I could beat Coach Prime
- 19:46Speaker 3: in a race right now. He's going through some.
- 19:48Speaker 7: Stuff, doesn't Did he lose a tower?
- 19:54Speaker 3: It's about longevity.
- 19:56Speaker 7: Are we not taking care of our toes?
- 19:58Speaker 2: I don't know what are we doing?
- 19:59Speaker 7: I don't know else, health like diabetes.
- 20:02Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know what he's got going on.
- 20:04Speaker 7: But come on, Prime, I do miss Tea Bog's impression
- 20:08Speaker 7: of Dionne. It was really good.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Job, Yeah, Jeb, Hey, you know what job.
- 20:19Speaker 7: I don't even know what that means.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Hey, I might have tried to roast you, but I
- 20:23Speaker 3: was sitting here and when you said that, one of
- 20:25Speaker 3: my good friends in this world is Charlie Whitehurst. And
- 20:29Speaker 3: at least you don't have the nickname clipboard.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Jesus. True, that's so true.
- 20:33Speaker 9: Mm Hm and.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Charlie had some starts. He made a couple of dollars
- 20:38Speaker 3: at Seattle. Was that after you? Before that was before
- 20:42Speaker 3: that was like twenty eleven, It was before you And
- 20:44Speaker 3: then he went So he got traded to the Chargers
- 20:48Speaker 3: first Seattle, Yeah, and then I think he got traded
- 20:52Speaker 3: by Seattle with somebody Tennessee maybe, and then he one
- 20:57Speaker 3: year then he found his way back to the Chargers.
- 21:00Speaker 3: But that man's nickname is clipboard. Jesus, he is like
- 21:04Speaker 3: and he's the most interesting man in the world.
- 21:06Speaker 2: But guess what, not many people get NFL nicknames.
- 21:09Speaker 3: That's very true too, Jesus, we know it's Chuck that
- 21:14Speaker 3: we're talking about exactly. That's actually a really good point. Yeah,
- 21:20Speaker 3: only nickname I was ever given with stubby legs by saving.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Guess what be a back of the NFL. Guess what
- 21:27Speaker 2: I means? You gotta be in the NFL. Well, yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 2: so that's pretty cool.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Uh.
- 21:36Speaker 3: I think we should uh take a break now because
- 21:39Speaker 3: I'm sure we gotta let our next guest kind of
- 21:41Speaker 3: catch his emotions if he was watching.
- 21:44Speaker 2: So it's probably talking about a box of Kleenex.
- 21:47Speaker 3: I don't know if Dick Dixon's gonna be able to
- 21:49Speaker 3: compose himself to be able to talk with us after
- 21:51Speaker 3: that retirement speech, but he's gonna try.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 21:55Speaker 5: I just I appreciate for for you guys to support
- 21:57Speaker 5: system I have here in this room, Like I should
- 22:01Speaker 5: be like.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Messive ball teers right now. I don't know how I'm
- 22:07Speaker 2: holding it together so well right now?
- 22:09Speaker 3: How you got through that incredible strength in the chat.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Can't believe it's over.
- 22:15Speaker 7: Welcome to off the bench with stubby legs and fat ankles.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Oh shout out to Jimbo.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Jimbo Fisher is joining the ACC network. He's
- 22:30Speaker 3: going to be on the desk for their coverage. I
- 22:32Speaker 3: think actually taking EJ spot because EJ is moving to
- 22:37Speaker 3: main ESPN. Jimbo's coming in. He's going to be on
- 22:40Speaker 3: the desk right there.
- 22:42Speaker 2: So they're gonna be like a national version of our show.
- 22:44Speaker 2: They'll never go to break on time, never Jimbo.
- 22:47Speaker 3: We had Jimbo on Tuesdays and the heartbreaks, the heartbreak
- 22:52Speaker 3: like into the hour. You gotta do it, you gotta
- 22:54Speaker 3: take it. There's no discussion that man would just roll
- 22:59Speaker 3: right through it. And I've be in the zoom like no,
- 23:02Speaker 3: I just try. I ain't care. I mean that man
- 23:06Speaker 3: would go forty seven seconds over the heartbreak, just talking
- 23:09Speaker 3: knowing that we had already gone to commercial, and I
- 23:11Speaker 3: didn't have the heart to tell him that nobody heard
- 23:13Speaker 3: those forty seven seconds or whatever you're talking about, Jobo.
- 23:17Speaker 3: So but yeah, he'll be great at that. You're gonna
- 23:21Speaker 3: talk fast, and you're gonna talk a lot, but it's
- 23:24Speaker 3: gonna be really good stuff. So all right, Richard Dixon,

- 25:27Speaker 3: composed himself after the Matt Flynn retirement speech. Probably not.
- 25:32Speaker 3: We're all very emotional here in the room as Matt
- 25:34Speaker 3: Flynn officially retired from the NFL. But we'll see. We'll
- 25:37Speaker 3: see if our guy dig Dixon, you know him as
- 25:40Speaker 3: Richard Dixon number eighteen, has composed himself. Dick, what's up, brother?
- 25:44Speaker 3: How we doing doing?
- 25:45Speaker 4: Good man?
- 25:46Speaker 9: What's going on?
- 25:47Speaker 3: You know? Majest officially retired here on there, So all
- 25:49Speaker 3: emotional here you know.
- 25:51Speaker 9: Oh oh, I'm glad.
- 25:53Speaker 2: It's been a big day.
- 25:55Speaker 9: Congratulations, Thank you.
- 25:57Speaker 5: Everybody's been on the edge of their seat wondering when
- 26:00Speaker 5: it was gonna come. It's here, buddy, it's over. It's
- 26:03Speaker 5: officially over.
- 26:04Speaker 2: What'd y'all say, I'm deflating my football?
- 26:07Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, I'm gonna go ahead and retire today too.
- 26:11Speaker 3: All right, Hey, I'm thinking about doing it later.
- 26:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 26:13Speaker 3: It's all it's in vogue, definitely in vogue. Dick Dixon,
- 26:17Speaker 3: what's up, brother? How we doing? How we live in?
- 26:19Speaker 3: This is old school, hanging with hester us three together,
- 26:22Speaker 3: chopping it up. Hopefully we can get you in the
- 26:23Speaker 3: studio pretty soon.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Uh.
- 26:25Speaker 3: I know you actually have as a launder. Put it
- 26:27Speaker 3: like a real job, unlike me and Flynn earlier today
- 26:30Speaker 3: when we said you were coming on the show. So
- 26:33Speaker 3: glad to have you back on feels like old times.
- 26:35Speaker 9: Oh man, I'm I'm enjoying it. Could it could be better.
- 26:38Speaker 9: I could have in the house right now, but we're
- 26:41Speaker 9: struggling over here. We're waiting on you. Got to get
- 26:43Speaker 9: to the house.
- 26:46Speaker 3: So we were I know we were talking last night,
- 26:49Speaker 3: and you know, sometimes sometimes twenty four to seven, like
- 26:53Speaker 3: one hour Like that doesn't.
- 26:54Speaker 9: All liars liar every single when I'm the liar one
- 26:59Speaker 9: hour Air, Yes, attempt be uh they all full of crap.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Dude, I was laughing. I'm sitting in bed and which
- 27:08Speaker 3: I was trying to help help dig Dixon get somebody
- 27:11Speaker 3: to the house, because when your AC's out in Louisiana,
- 27:14Speaker 3: this this man called everybody and all that advertising everybody
- 27:17Speaker 3: does about tallis will be there, Dig Dixon. That is
- 27:20Speaker 3: not true.
- 27:20Speaker 9: That's not true. The only one that really made me
- 27:24Speaker 9: bad was the one Hour airplace because they said they
- 27:26Speaker 9: were coming and then all they did would waste one
- 27:29Speaker 9: hour of my time because forty five minutes later they said,
- 27:33Speaker 9: you know what, we're only servicing warranty installations.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but I will tell you you did come.
- 27:39Speaker 9: And it's funny. Out of all the people in the
- 27:41Speaker 9: world that came, it was Fallless Heating and Air got
- 27:44Speaker 9: out great company.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Kyle.
- 27:46Speaker 9: Actually he gets to my house, he said, hey, you
- 27:50Speaker 9: Richard Dixon. Like yes, sir, He goes, I'm doing Matt
- 27:52Speaker 9: Finn's house like a week.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Oh look at that.
- 27:57Speaker 9: Matt knows how to pick them.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Oh yeah, dude, I would he did have me rolling
- 28:02Speaker 3: because hey, we're going through like the Rolodex of companies
- 28:06Speaker 3: and he's just like, yeah, that one ps all that
- 28:09Speaker 3: advertising they're doing. So hey, I'm glad you found the
- 28:12Speaker 3: right person because you were trying. You know, you had
- 28:15Speaker 3: a business meeting, but I think we've all been there
- 28:18Speaker 3: when something's going wrong at home and you've got a
- 28:21Speaker 3: business meeting, but also like the thing at home is
- 28:23Speaker 3: the most important thing, and you're trying to juggle both
- 28:25Speaker 3: of them. So I'm glad you got to the bottom
- 28:27Speaker 3: of it.
- 28:28Speaker 9: I was praying to God that when I got home
- 28:30Speaker 9: from that dinner this situation would have been fixed.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Oh man, I love it. Uh wanted to have you
- 28:39Speaker 3: on like and we talked to I think it was
- 28:40Speaker 3: a couple of weeks ago, Dick about the tight end
- 28:44Speaker 3: position and what else you's doing there because you lose
- 28:49Speaker 3: a big one, like the only guy to ever have
- 28:52Speaker 3: more anything than you. Mason Taylor is no longer in
- 28:56Speaker 3: purple and goalie. He is now a New York Jet
- 28:58Speaker 3: he declared early and he goes to the NFL. You
- 29:02Speaker 3: bring in a couple of tight ends. You got kind
- 29:04Speaker 3: of a a little bit of a tweener. A guy's
- 29:07Speaker 3: gonna be an f all day. He's not gonna be
- 29:09Speaker 3: a lie ever in green. But do they have enough?
- 29:13Speaker 3: Like in the room Bower Sharp comes over Southeast Louisiana, Oklahoma.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Now he's at LSU. You go to A and M
- 29:20Speaker 3: and you get a tight end. You're trying to replace
- 29:23Speaker 3: the guy that again did things that no other tight
- 29:26Speaker 3: end like you and him are like in rare air.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Are they gonna be able to get it done with
- 29:30Speaker 3: those three guys?
- 29:31Speaker 2: Man?
- 29:32Speaker 9: I think so. You know, I've watched a little bit
- 29:34Speaker 9: of Bauer Sharp. I think that he's you know, I'm
- 29:36Speaker 9: not gonna say he's as athletic as Mason Taylor. Wasn't
- 29:40Speaker 9: going to be his electric and receiving game, even though
- 29:42Speaker 9: he is very good. But I think they're comparable blockers.
- 29:45Speaker 9: You know, Bason Taylor, I loved the guy to death
- 29:48Speaker 9: that he was a B plus B plus B minus blocker. Yeah,
- 29:52Speaker 9: I think Bawer Sharp can do that. You know, Trede's
- 29:54Speaker 9: is gonna just do what he does. He's a freak athlete.
- 29:56Speaker 9: He's gonna get open, he's gonna cause mismatched problems. I
- 29:59Speaker 9: think the big one to watch is the titling coming
- 30:02Speaker 9: from A and m. He's a big body guy that's
- 30:04Speaker 9: done a lot of blocking in his career, and I
- 30:07Speaker 9: think they got a good mix to get it done.
- 30:11Speaker 3: I guess like the thing's going to be and you
- 30:13Speaker 3: know this as well as anybody like, because Richard, you
- 30:15Speaker 3: were somebody that could play y and f and we
- 30:18Speaker 3: always talk about that your y tight end, luge a
- 30:20Speaker 3: little football one on one. You're why tight end oftentimes
- 30:22Speaker 3: going to be attached to the line and have, you know,
- 30:24Speaker 3: three fingers in the dirt, your ass going to be
- 30:26Speaker 3: in the slot, kind of move around, play some different positions,
- 30:30Speaker 3: and you could do both. Mason could do a little
- 30:31Speaker 3: bit of both as well. Maybe not as much of
- 30:34Speaker 3: the why stuff like you said, but I mean he
- 30:37Speaker 3: was a willing blocker.
- 30:38Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 30:38Speaker 3: I guess the thing's gonna be like not to fall
- 30:40Speaker 3: into tendencies with this tight end group, Richard, because you
- 30:43Speaker 3: do have three guys that all of them are a
- 30:46Speaker 3: little bit different, and you got to make sure that
- 30:48Speaker 3: it's like, Okay, when this guy's in, it's going to
- 30:50Speaker 3: be this, When that guy's in, it's going to be that.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Like they're gonna have to do some things that maybe
- 30:54Speaker 3: they're not comfortable with.
- 30:55Speaker 9: Yeah, and you know, I still need to see more
- 30:58Speaker 9: from the A and M guy because from the people
- 31:00Speaker 9: I've talked to, and I talked to a buddy of
- 31:01Speaker 9: mine that was coaching every day, and then he's an
- 31:04Speaker 9: athletic guy as well, So I think you can cover
- 31:06Speaker 9: up tennessees with him. He's a guy that can get
- 31:08Speaker 9: out and you know, still run your dig routes, your
- 31:11Speaker 9: corner routes, you know, sit down. But he also can block.
- 31:14Speaker 9: I think Bower Sharp is going to be a guy
- 31:16Speaker 9: that can sit into that as well. And you look,
- 31:18Speaker 9: you know, Trade has green. Let's let's see how he
- 31:20Speaker 9: looks after year. I haven't watched him block hasn't done anything,
- 31:23Speaker 9: but the guys what six eight two forty five, two fifty,
- 31:26Speaker 9: they get his frame up and really get him to,
- 31:29Speaker 9: you know, understand the technique and how to go after it.
- 31:31Speaker 9: He's a guy that I thought was, you know, which
- 31:33Speaker 9: you said earlier, a willing blocker. I mean, there was
- 31:35Speaker 9: a few plays where he'd stick his head in there
- 31:37Speaker 9: last year, and he gave it. He gave it an effort.
- 31:39Speaker 9: He didn't have the best technique, but it's something that
- 31:41Speaker 9: he can continue to work on.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Yeah, well let's stick with trade des here.
- 31:44Speaker 5: But the frame you just talked about sixty seven, six eight,
- 31:47Speaker 5: whatever it is, year one to year two, like last year,
- 31:52Speaker 5: you know, get in the weight room right between that
- 31:55Speaker 5: year one of year two, physically, get better understand leverage
- 31:57Speaker 5: of route running. Like there's so many things that you
- 32:00Speaker 5: can do to utilize him, especially like when once you
- 32:02Speaker 5: get into the red zone, even if you're not throwing
- 32:05Speaker 5: him the ball, you're he's you can get to a
- 32:07Speaker 5: situation where he at least he's commanding not maybe not
- 32:10Speaker 5: double coverage, but like shading a safety his direction, or
- 32:13Speaker 5: playing over the top of a corner to loosen up
- 32:15Speaker 5: some of the other slot receivers or whatever it is.
- 32:17Speaker 5: But like, tell me about like your experience. I mean
- 32:19Speaker 5: you played a lot as a freshman in your year
- 32:22Speaker 5: one to year two. Like what difference did it make
- 32:24Speaker 5: for Richard Dixon? And do you think that maybe it
- 32:27Speaker 5: can kind of be comparable to what we see from
- 32:29Speaker 5: trade is.
- 32:30Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean it's just you know, you all know,
- 32:32Speaker 9: the game slows down, you start to understand it, like
- 32:35Speaker 9: we always you know, tell the story my freshman year
- 32:37Speaker 9: y'all went to the movies, and Jimbo made me stay
- 32:39Speaker 9: back and go over past detections. I didn't get to
- 32:41Speaker 9: go to the movie. I had to study the night
- 32:43Speaker 9: before because I was always too nervous and freaking out.
- 32:46Speaker 9: And you were thinking so much of the freshman and
- 32:48Speaker 9: I felt like later in my freshman year, I wasn't
- 32:50Speaker 9: thinking as much. But by the time we got to
- 32:52Speaker 9: my sophomore year, I mean it was just taking nature.
- 32:54Speaker 9: Like you got up to the block, you got up
- 32:56Speaker 9: the line, you understood what you were going to do.
- 32:57Speaker 9: You know, everything slew down, slowed down better technique, and
- 33:01Speaker 9: it would just it became easier.
- 33:05Speaker 3: And also the tight ends, Like we're talking about the
- 33:07Speaker 3: passing game here, but you know, Dixon, you obviously were
- 33:10Speaker 3: somebody that and the run game was was big for
- 33:14Speaker 3: us as well. Like we had you, we had Keith Zinger,
- 33:16Speaker 3: we had mit Cole, like we had some tight ends
- 33:18Speaker 3: that would do the dirty work. And the running game
- 33:22Speaker 3: is something that has to to go up. It wasn't
- 33:25Speaker 3: even like really, you know, the running backs. I actually
- 33:28Speaker 3: thought the running backs did a nice job of what
- 33:30Speaker 3: was in front of them, but like you can't turn
- 33:33Speaker 3: into like two thousand and eight Texas Tech. Like you
- 33:36Speaker 3: can't throw for four thousand yards and then have your
- 33:38Speaker 3: leading rusher have seven hundred yards. Like that just can't
- 33:41Speaker 3: be the case there. And so like that's a big
- 33:43Speaker 3: part of like if we're talking about trade as Green,
- 33:46Speaker 3: like how do you utilize him? Like how do you
- 33:49Speaker 3: get creative? Because look, you don't have to just line
- 33:51Speaker 3: up and have him like attached to a tackle, Like
- 33:55Speaker 3: there's different ways and to get guys on the edge,
- 33:58Speaker 3: and maybe you motion him from outside and you bring
- 34:01Speaker 3: him in motion, he cracks the defensive end, you run
- 34:03Speaker 3: a toss crack. So I mean something like you have
- 34:05Speaker 3: to be creative in the run game to go back
- 34:07Speaker 3: to what we started with so you don't fall into
- 34:09Speaker 3: those tendencies.
- 34:10Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean he's an athlete, man. I think he's
- 34:13Speaker 9: a guy that you can get on the second level.
- 34:15Speaker 9: You know, maybe do an arc release to a linebacker
- 34:17Speaker 9: and get a pulling guard to kick out the end.
- 34:20Speaker 9: You know, he's a guy that he can move with
- 34:22Speaker 9: your safeties and your linebackers, and you know he's not
- 34:24Speaker 9: going to be you know, not athletic enough to get there.
- 34:27Speaker 9: So he's a guy that I know that can block
- 34:29Speaker 9: on a second level, like you said, do some different
- 34:31Speaker 9: things with him, but we can get on the running
- 34:34Speaker 9: game that was last year was frustrating.
- 34:38Speaker 3: This is this.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Covertation going so well. Everyone's in a good man.
- 34:41Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean it's a mindset. Y'all know that you
- 34:43Speaker 9: got to go one out there and go kick somebody's ass,
- 34:45Speaker 9: and that the offense line has to make that decision.
- 34:47Speaker 9: The Titans have to make that decision. And there's no
- 34:50Speaker 9: you know, standing up and just trying to you know,
- 34:53Speaker 9: let it happen. You've got to go out there and
- 34:55Speaker 9: make it happen.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Richard.
- 34:56Speaker 5: With so many good weapons on offense this year at
- 34:59Speaker 5: the wide receiver and of course Garrett Usmeyer returning breaking
- 35:02Speaker 5: in a kind of a new offensive line as well.
- 35:05Speaker 5: Is the tight end a vital role this year, especially
- 35:10Speaker 5: immediately for kind of a safety blanket for Garrett Nusmeyer
- 35:14Speaker 5: and also and for the receivers to help them, you know,
- 35:18Speaker 5: to help them with one get one on one coverages
- 35:20Speaker 5: and get open as well.
- 35:22Speaker 9: No doubt. I mean that's how I got the ball.
- 35:23Speaker 9: You had early and Jojo a running down the field,
- 35:25Speaker 9: and I was your safety blanket, you know, I was
- 35:27Speaker 9: the guy that sat down a load got something going.
- 35:30Speaker 9: But yeah, I think it's going to open up the
- 35:31Speaker 9: middle of the field. And we all know garretting is
- 35:33Speaker 9: scared to throw it there. You're gonna have speed on
- 35:35Speaker 9: the outside. They're going to have to respect that. They're
- 35:38Speaker 9: gonna have to play high coverages. So guys winning across
- 35:40Speaker 9: the middle in the intermediate zones, guys that are gonna
- 35:43Speaker 9: be key.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Is it is what's the most important position for what
- 35:48Speaker 5: part of playing the tight end position it is? Is
- 35:51Speaker 5: it being physical? Is it being fast? Is it being
- 35:55Speaker 5: a good route runner? Is it understanding the offense? And
- 35:59Speaker 5: like where you're at in your progression, Like when you
- 36:01Speaker 5: when you if you were training at tight end and
- 36:04Speaker 5: say this is one thing you need to work on.
- 36:05Speaker 2: What is that one thing?
- 36:08Speaker 3: You know?
- 36:09Speaker 9: It depends on how you're going to use the tight
- 36:11Speaker 9: end Like for me, it was understanding the defense. You know,
- 36:13Speaker 9: with Gary Croton, every route was an option route. You
- 36:17Speaker 9: you had a way to get open on every route,
- 36:19Speaker 9: whether you know you scat you the broke, a slant
- 36:21Speaker 9: man covered you, chase space and zone if you had
- 36:24Speaker 9: the back or beat them one on one. Understanding what
- 36:26Speaker 9: the defense is doing understanding what everybody else on the
- 36:29Speaker 9: field is doing. Because you know, a tight end, like
- 36:31Speaker 9: you said, could play y, could play f you get
- 36:33Speaker 9: moved around. You got to understand everybody's situation. You got
- 36:37Speaker 9: understand what the defense is doing, and just you know,
- 36:39Speaker 9: getting down and sitting down on the right zones.
- 36:42Speaker 3: We got a question inside to buy you four chat
- 36:44Speaker 3: for dig Dixon. How big his two year old is?
- 36:47Speaker 3: Biggest I've ever seen a kid at his age. He
- 36:50Speaker 3: wears basically the same sizz closed as our seven year old.
- 36:53Speaker 9: He could start for a middle school team right now.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Well, I mean your oldest son as well well, is
- 37:00Speaker 3: a giant, Like Jackson's a giant. So you have multiple
- 37:03Speaker 3: giants in your home.
- 37:04Speaker 9: Oh yeah, but I mean Jackson's still like the really nice,
- 37:07Speaker 9: good kid. Duke wants to fight everybody. He greets you
- 37:11Speaker 9: by punching you when you walk in the door. I
- 37:13Speaker 9: can't There's nothing I can do. I can't thank him anymore.
- 37:16Speaker 9: I can't say anything to him. It's like one of
- 37:17Speaker 9: those things. It's just like, come on, buddy, stop.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Ask Dixon if he was training a five star tight
- 37:25Speaker 3: end when he try and sway him towards l s U.
- 37:29Speaker 9: Yeah, because I want him to be gone three years
- 37:31Speaker 9: at least I keep some career records.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Pretty good answer. You know, maybe you can talk to
- 37:37Speaker 3: matt after this.
- 37:38Speaker 9: I was happy about Mason Taylor, the greatest tight end
- 37:40Speaker 9: to come through in a long time. But thank god
- 37:42Speaker 9: he left that for three.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Oh Okay, yeah, I love it speaking of somebody hanging
- 37:50Speaker 3: him up and maybe moving on somewhere else, Tyra, Matthew's
- 37:54Speaker 3: going to move on to the next phase of his life.
- 37:57Speaker 3: I know you didn't you know you weren't teammates. I
- 37:59Speaker 3: think I'll see each other by a year, right.
- 38:02Speaker 9: I think a year or two. I think I will
- 38:05Speaker 9: say I had a class with him when I came
- 38:06Speaker 9: back to get my degree class retiring.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Okay, but I mean, look, we all know, like we
- 38:12Speaker 3: all know who he was and what he was and
- 38:13Speaker 3: the kind of player that he was. Your favorite maybe
- 38:17Speaker 3: honey Badger moment as we reflect on his outstanding career.
- 38:21Speaker 9: Man, there's there's so many of them. I heard you
- 38:24Speaker 9: talking about this earlier and trying to come up with one.
- 38:27Speaker 9: He was the most electrifying player that I watched at LSU.
- 38:31Speaker 9: I mean, he was something, he was different, There was
- 38:34Speaker 9: you know, We had a lot of great players. I
- 38:35Speaker 9: mean we played with first rounder after first rounder, but
- 38:39Speaker 9: to what he just did it in a different way.
- 38:41Speaker 9: He was he was the shorter guy, he wasn't the
- 38:42Speaker 9: fastest guy, but he was such a ballhawk the way
- 38:45Speaker 9: I almost say. There was a game against the Oregon
- 38:47Speaker 9: where he hawked the guy down caused the fumble that
- 38:49Speaker 9: everybody else thought would be a touchdown, and that one
- 38:52Speaker 9: sticks out. There was an A and M Bowl game.
- 38:55Speaker 9: He made some big plays in it. I mean that
- 38:57Speaker 9: was that was when he was number fourteen, that was
- 38:58Speaker 9: before his number seven, and I you know, he is
- 39:01Speaker 9: just one of those guys that he's gonna be in
- 39:04Speaker 9: every LSU highlight reel for the rest of his life.
- 39:08Speaker 3: I have a very true like, you're not going to
- 39:09Speaker 3: see one, You're right without having tiring be a part
- 39:12Speaker 3: of it. Dig Dixon, we always appreciate the time.
- 39:15Speaker 5: Hold on, don't let him go. I gotta we got
- 39:17Speaker 5: to settle something real Quay two thousand and seven National
- 39:21Speaker 5: Championship Game. Is it of your opinion that if I
- 39:26Speaker 5: apparently I allegedly threw a ball behind you and you
- 39:29Speaker 5: say you would have scored a touchdown on you scored
- 39:32Speaker 5: a touchdown, do you win the MVP.
- 39:34Speaker 9: Well, so here's your argument. You always say, well you
- 39:38Speaker 9: would have had three touchdowns, but would you had four
- 39:40Speaker 9: or five?
- 39:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, I would have had five. I think if
- 39:42Speaker 2: you would have scored that one, did you get down
- 39:44Speaker 2: to like the one or head?
- 39:46Speaker 3: Yeah, well if you if you would have scored, I
- 39:48Speaker 3: would not have had a touchdown in that game.
- 39:50Speaker 5: You did score the next Richard had two touchdowns and
- 39:52Speaker 5: we ran this like play where I rolled out to
- 39:54Speaker 5: the right and he came out like the back door
- 39:55Speaker 5: to the side.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Allegedly a thw behind him made him.
- 40:03Speaker 5: You were trying, You were trying so hard to score too,
- 40:05Speaker 5: the raging Oh, I said, don't reach for the pie line,
- 40:08Speaker 5: but you said screw that.
- 40:09Speaker 9: Yeah, Miles and Hampson kind of jumped my butt for reaching,
- 40:13Speaker 9: but you know what, I want to score.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:15Speaker 9: In the long run, I'm glad.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you for all three of us got touchdowns.
- 40:21Speaker 3: I mean, Flynn was a little selfish and throwing it
- 40:23Speaker 3: behind you, but I appreciate you not.
- 40:24Speaker 9: Being selfish anything for you.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Good, thank you. I appreciate that. Uh dig Dixon man,
- 40:29Speaker 3: we gotta get you in studio pretty soon. Man, misch
- 40:31Speaker 3: you love you and hopefully we can get that done.
- 40:34Speaker 3: All right. There, he is Richard Dixon, former l s
- 40:37Speaker 3: U tight end number eighteen, good enough to join us here.
- 40:40Speaker 3: And yeah, we were talking through it last night. Man,
- 40:42Speaker 3: he was any company, he needed, any company to come
- 40:45Speaker 3: help him out last night. No, dude, when you're like
- 40:48Speaker 3: he was in a business like lunch, dinner, meeting, whatever situation,
- 40:52Speaker 3: and you've got no AC in South Louisiana.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Oh my god, then it last overnight.
- 41:00Speaker 3: You gotta get a hotel. They're not good.
- 41:05Speaker 2: I know where. Like we're kind of spoiled these days
- 41:07Speaker 2: with AC.
- 41:08Speaker 5: Like if it's hot, I can't sleep, it's not I'm
- 41:12Speaker 5: not sleeping, not sleeping a wink.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Or during.
- 41:17Speaker 5: In college, one of the five one of the hurricanes
- 41:20Speaker 5: that knocked the power out here. I don't think it
- 41:22Speaker 5: was Katrina. I think it was it was a Rita
- 41:23Speaker 5: right afterwards, knocked our power.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Out for days. And uh no, he was hot.
- 41:28Speaker 5: I couldn't sleep, So I got a nice chest full
- 41:31Speaker 5: of beer and I just put the beers like I
- 41:34Speaker 5: boarded them around my body and bed cooled me off
- 41:36Speaker 5: like them.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Slept like a baby. Drink if you two.
- 41:41Speaker 3: Also, what did you call Tyron and Dixon when they
- 41:44Speaker 3: were in school together? Class teammates otherwise known.
- 41:49Speaker 7: As that would be a classmates, class team.
- 41:53Speaker 3: I get it.
- 41:54Speaker 5: He was the same he had just beenished saying we
- 41:56Speaker 5: weren't teammates, Okay, I said what we were in class together?
- 41:59Speaker 9: All right?
- 42:00Speaker 7: Teammates, class teammates, last teamtes.
- 42:04Speaker 3: Also, we got dear Delandra at nine am, so we
- 42:07Speaker 3: got twelve minutes.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Oh, get your questions, twelve minutes.
- 42:10Speaker 3: Get your questions into me, tip a Ladra, and let's
- 42:16Speaker 3: make them good. All right, Let's make some Yes, let's
- 42:20Speaker 3: give them some Yeah, like give something that because Alandra's
- 42:23Speaker 3: got a particular set of skills that she's really good
- 42:27Speaker 3: at getting to the nitty gritty of any situation. So
- 42:30Speaker 3: give her something to do that. We'll do it in
- 42:32Speaker 3: about bear your soul twelve minutes from now. So you
- 42:35Speaker 3: got some time, Dear Delandra coming up at nine am

- 42:44Speaker 3: Speaking of having no AC, if your power goes out
- 42:48Speaker 3: and you don't have a whole home generator, guess what happens?
- 42:51Speaker 3: Nothing works. That AC is included in that a look.
