- Brad: so this week is y'all don't have to deal with this nightmare. But this week it's fall break. no. I thought you were gonna say cruise of the coast. I have a ver well, no. So here's the difference between those two. One of them is like, let's go have a good time. And the other one is let's try to survive Osama Ben Ryle. And welcome back to the Coast Trash Podcast. Episode two point two, which is the third. Two point two. one, two. The third. Episode two, part three. Episode two. Take three. Take three three. I feel like I need one of those ch what do you call those things? I don't know, clacker. I don't think it's a clacker it is. as always, this episode is brought to you by Low Tie Company. We just hit over we just hit a month old. Brand new. Yep. All right. So I do I do want to apologize for that. the mishaps. We are now actually filming and recording and all of the above. All the lights are on. All the lights are on. They're all working. And this will be our actual second episode. We got one more to go before we go live. We're not even gonna worry about those other two. we're gonna use them. We're gonna use them one day. One day someone's gonna want to hear I feel you. Because you can hear So to to be clear, you can hear They just it's not very we'd be yeah. It's not very for them to be clear to hear them. Yeah, you gotta pay attention. Not my strong suit. Agreed. well let's do what we do. Start off with the very first thing, which is always what we were gonna start off with. The high watermark. Best thing has happened to you since last time we sat down and did this. Nothing good ever happens to me. I don't believe that too much. I'm a horrible person and karma's caught up with me. I believe some of that. I had a friend come into town. Yeah. Old old John. John from Texas. Yeah. Moving back down here. Johnny H. Going to look for a house tomorrow So is it is it is it okay to say he's a dangerous human. Yeah. But but so dangerous, I think, is a little He can be dangerous, but he's got it. There's a difference. He's got it bottled up. Isn't there a difference? Yeah, he's a Green Beret. He was on the Yeah. That's dangerous. So there's a difference between being dangerous and the ability to be dangerous. He's not dangerous until he has to be. Right. Like a water moccasin is not dangerous until it bites. Really he just wants to move down here from Austin. So he's fully retired. Yes. Hundred percent disabled veteran. We're definitely gonna get him on the on the show. Ten Tours overseas in various places. Some he can talk about, some he can't. He'd love to. Yeah. See this one I'm wearing right here? I support our troops. He brought me two bottles of bourbon. What kind of bourbon? Old Fitzgerald. Okay. I'm a fan of Fitz Old Fitzgerald. I've had it once. And Calumet or Calumet, depending on how you like to drink it. it's a a blend. How would you spell that? C A U L E T. Cal U Met. C A L U E T. Cal U Yeah. That doesn't sound right, but okay. I mean, it ta it tastes right. It's a blend of a seventeen year and a seven year. Okay. Bottled in bond. Bond. Which is delicious. What is bond? That means it has to be held in a bonded warehouse for four years. Where where until it reaches a hundred proof. Where does it come from? Where does it hail from? If it were a when one whiskey and another whiskey love each other. Right. They make a barrel. Which city would they make that barrel in? Or state or country? Are these are these US bourbon Kentucky? Okay. And they sit in a bonded warehouse. Okay. Johnny Walker Blue. That would be absolutely different. Also Scotch, but it's also a whiskey. Not a bourbon whiskey. one everyone I know is Jim Dean. Jim Dean. Jim Dean. Jimmy Dean, that's sausage. Sausage. I know where you're stomaching. That's a breakfast bourbon. I mean dinner. No Jimmy Dean. I'm only at food. Food centric tonight. So he brought you some bourbon. That's good. Yep. He brought him some scotch. He's been down a few times and I have not seen him yet. Well, he will move down here and you'll see him a bunch. You know it's not good. I like it. Brandy. my I've always found Brandy to be a delightful human. I I know a brandy or two that's brandy the legend. Okay, that's acceptable. But I mean, you know what they say about those Andes, the A N D Ys? I used to be married to one. Mm hmm. A little crazy. But no crazy. Jimmy So back when I was a heavy drinker, I would go to the liquor store and I it took me about seventeen seconds to get what I wanted because I knew exactly what I was getting and I just went and Paid for it. Sure. And Jim's Well, I'm gonna come in with you. Well, as you know, Jimmy's a browser. Jimmy a moves a little slower than I do. I'm also a browser, yes. And he's a browser. He's both. And so he's like, I'm gonna come in with you. And I'm like, God, I could have been back in this truck before he gets out of it. That's how quick it's gonna take me to go get my vodka and come back. Well, he'll come in, he'll look, and he's like, I really want some he said, I really want some brandy. I'm like, Jimmy, you don't want brandy. Brandy is disgusting. I didn't You thought you do want brandy. You do not want brandy. no, I want to try it. I want to drink it out of a special. I like Jimmy. I've tried it before. It's not good. I'm sure they do have brandies that are Cabossier. That is not it it they're similar. But here's the thing is that no. No. It's still not good. Is it high quality? Is it good to people who like that kind of stuff? Yes. Is it good to us? Should you take a sip at a fancy tasting menu or something? You know. I was like going and buying weird stuff like pickle vodka. No, so so yeah, that was terrible too. most of the stuff Jimmy would purchase was terrible, by the way. Brandy. Not a good drinker. you know what he did buy that was good? Rum. Grappa. You had grappa without me? Grappas. So good. We had so many conversations about the grappa. It's very grapey. Where did you get they have it at Maison Luz or whatever that is? Mabri's I mean whatever it used to be. It was we bought it when it was yeah. Yeah, they have grappa. They had only had one. They had one grappa. And it it it was really good. I liked it. It So it was one of those things, what do they call A apertified. Is that is that what it's called? Pretty sure it is. Is it an after dinner? Well, I don't know. Before dinner? That's what it reminded me of. Or during dinner. A digestive. A digestive. That's the one after, right? Yeah. So that's what it reminded me of when I had it. But I I thought it was really good. I liked it too. but he would buy like like some sort of blue alcohol curaca? It's not curacao, it's even worse. There's an unsettling amount of humans in the world that call it Caraco. Caraca. I used to be one of those. Blue Caraco. My wife was one and she was mind blown. But do you know how much Caraco sounds like an actual island? There is an island. Curacao. Right. What I'm saying is Kurok Kara Kurako does. Caraco or Kurakao is what I used to say was Kurakao. I thought that was actually it. Because you know who was from there, Jimmy? Andrew Jones. Andrew Jones. One of my favorite baseball players. No, Andrewton Simmons. Andrelton Simmons was also from there. I'm not hearing the name of that. Say that again. Andrelton Simmons. Andrelton. Andrelton. He's a former Brave. Two former Braves. but Jerry So back when I was a kid and and Andrew Jones was a stud, I thought it was Kirkow. Jerry Bofar's from there too. And the first time in fact completely the first time somebody said Kursao, I What are you What is that word? What do mean carousel? What is that word? What are you saying? I didn't had no idea. But I'm also the guy who said facade. Do you know why I said that? Yeah, you know why said that? Because it looks like it. Because that's you're hooked on phonics? There was a there was a was it Chris Rock No, Kevin Hart. He was in the movie. The facade. The facade. I don't watch those movies. He said, finally, as they they just he's like, I thought I was freaking nailing it. And they just kept looking at me like, let's do that one again. And he's like, What the why? I'm nailing it. Got the facade. Look at that facade. And you know what? I said that. I said it. And I said it because I heard that. man I'm I remember saying it. And then w after I said it, one of our friends said, Do you mean facade? yeah. And I was like, Yeah, I sure do. That's exactly what I mean. That one too. I'm the biggest hypocrite when it comes to that because I will call you out immediately. And the second that I do it, I act pissed. Yeah. So cool. I imagine for calling me out. So th so this week is y'all don't have to deal with this nightmare. But this week it's fall break. no. I thought you were gonna say cruise of the coast. I have a ver well, no. So here's the difference between those two. Crazy guys is cool. One of them is like, let's go have a good time. And the other one is let's try to survive Osama Ben Ryle. You know what I mean? He I don't well how long of a nap did he have today? because he is an absolute gremlin right now. He's a terrorist. He's a domestic terrorist. But but here's the deal. Tomorrow's a big day for work for me personally. So anytime company gives it, I'm sorry. Tomorrow. The old state capital. there there are a lot of states, apparently I've not been to a bunch, but a lot of states where the capital is just not great. The capital of our Which is weird. Yeah, yeah. It's which is weird, I think. I think that's weird. High crime rate for whatever reason. Yeah, and I think it's weird. Yeah. What DC is not fun either, I don't think. They seem to be the more populated areas, which inherently would lend to more crimes. I think you're okay in Billings. Billings, Montana. Is Billings the capital? maybe. Is that where Gary lives? It could be. Wait, is Billings even in Montana? What are we talking about here? Yeah, buildings. Is it the Capitol? I don't know if it's Capitol or not, but it's like a song in the For some reason. Yeah, right. So I was thinking twenty to thirty minutes. so I don't I don't I don't remember if it is or not, but that Google vibe I bet Gary does not live in the in the capital city of Montana. But I don't know if say I don't know if it's that's the only city I know in Montana. I don't know if it's the capital or not. Helena. Yellowstone. I think Helen actually Helen is actually the capital. I think I think it sounds right. It sounds it sounds more right than I think Helen is actually the capital. I think you're right on that. Don't use the Google app. Montana. I used to know all these. Okay, so while we're talking about Montana, while you're looking that up. Largest cities, Billings, capital. Helena. There you go. Okay. How about Gary lives in the country? Fourth largest US state by total area. If Gary if Gary is really the coast trash if Gary is really the Coast Trash fan that that he claims to be, he probably lives in like on a creek somewhere. Or we may call one. We're gonna find him. Just call one. that would be so awesome. Hey, are you the Gary that called me? Hold is this Gary? Hi, Gary. Have you ever heard of Coast Trash podcast? Nope. Okay. Yes, he's a first time answer right now. Short time listener. So so this is a real question. This is this is something I've I've actually thought a lot about. If if you were if you were not allowed to live here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where would you live? And and and I I want you to f to defend it. Can so you can't just be like, I live in Montana. Can I do Because Gary does. Does that be a permanent where you residence where you would be? Because I might be a snowbird. that's like I might want to summer into B VR. No, you didn't win the lottery. No. No, no, no, no. look. No. Realistically. Okay. Realistically. there's Johnny H. Johnny H. right now. Hell answer it. Put it on the speaker. You gotta put it right up to it. Can't talk to him one, but we'll talk to him. John Hagler. Where yeah? What's doing? we're podcasting. You're on live. Hagler, a man of a man of many words. Hagler's Brad. Hey Brad, how you been? I'm good brother. How are you? I can't complain. Are you gonna be our first guest? Huh? Are you gonna be our first guest? Is that what's happening right now? Well I mean, well, actually technically, yes. But but I'm in in person. we want you to be the first guest. All right. We'll do it on Scotch Creek tonight. Sounds good to me. All right, be good. Sounds like a plan, brother. I'll call you back. I mean, is that is that not perfect? Yeah. Talking about what we're talking about? What what do they say? Yeah, okay. So here's here's here are the parameters. You could essentially live there on I I say your income, but like basically your quality of life. Like you know what I mean. Okay, so this isn't a lottery situation. No, not a lottery situation. And so you had to go find a a life to live somewhere else. With let's just say sixty K a year. Yeah, just just a general basic income. And your wife works, but not very hard. Where would where would it be? New Brunfills, Texas. Wait, who? That is specific as shit. New Brunfills, Texas. I don't even know where that is. That's where they do beep beef jerky. They do what? Beef jerky. What kind of beef jerky? Beef jerky? Yeah. They make beef jerky all over the case. Hold on. Is it a brand of beef jerky? It's a brand of beef jerky. What kind? New Brun Brunswick. wait. New what hold on. What Google's gotta happen here. Yeah. Are we talking about New Brunfels? Yes. Or New Brunswick? Because you said New Brunswick too, I think. Well, it's one of the two. But it's Is it a brand called New Brunfels? Yep. Brunfells? I think that's what it's it. I think that's what it is. Jerky. Just for I've we've got a good we gotta pull those. So you want to live there just because of the beef shirt? We gotta pull this thread. new Braunfels smokehouse. There it is. There it is. Honestly, it'd probably be New Orleans. It is in New Braunfels, Texas. What a terrible place. Why? Okay, you gotta defend it. Why? Because there's a lot of cool things to do. There and there there is a lot of cool things to do. I mean, I basically didn't grow up there, but I've been there, used to go there a lot. Yeah, I mean we used to go once a week for years. yeah. Essentially. So Saints Games, Hornets. Hornets. I know I know everything basically is. Berkeley Street. I don't think I would pick New Orleans, but I I hear you. It's changed. I haven't been in years. I mean I've it's probably been two or three years, right? I'm actually going next Friday. There there are still really fun and and cool parts of New Orleans. There are just some places I would You've never been there. That's true. Okay, okay. No, look, I that was a that was a poor judgment by me. So I'm I was okay with New Orleans, by the way, but we'll go to Charlotte. Why Charlotte? What do you know about Charlotte that makes you say I would want to live there? I mean it's North Carolina. I think I'll live like the North Carolina. You think you'd like North Carolina? What's the jerky situation? Okay. In North Carolina. Probably not as good as New Park. All right, Joshua. Where would you live? All right. So this is a two party. Okay. I ha the requirements that I have is I need either a river, a fast moving water. So not a lake. A gulf or ocean. Not a lake. I could do a lake if it's big enough. I can't be a great lake. it doesn't have to be great. It can just be a good lake. A good lake. Okay. Yeah. A decent lake. Lake Lake Martin in Alabama. We're not talking about a pond. the Ozarks. Yeah. I'll tell you a little bit about that in a minute. That's a good one. That's a party place. My wife went there with she's got family that have a lake house up there. If it wasn't like thirteen hours away, I'd be more active for Is it that far? Yeah. Well, I guess it depends where you go in the Azarks. Yeah. It's a big lake. It is big. Yeah. I would do Blue Ridge Mountains, Tennessee, probably. Yeah, that's a good one. Such a good I would require Acreage. Well, no, not so much the acreage. I would require access on my property somewhere to a a fast moving river. Yeah. Like some sort of water. Yeah, like like the Koei River. Sure. Yeah. Nanahala. Not so much a white water rafting. Well, most of those are and aren't, right? Parts are parts. otherwise looking for a sandy beach somewhere that's not touristy. Yeah, and see that's what's so great about here. Because right. As much as I hate the destined trap you know, the little tourist trap situation, I do love drinking coffee in the morning with the waves going. I mean, you have all of those states and forgotten to do that. Everything's right with the world. Not that maybe that's I can literally put up with a lot of crap. If I have a babbling brook or a river Or waves. Some sort of water. Yeah. So and I think there's places in Tennessee and or Some sort of real water. Yeah. Real water. Real water. That's I don't have a specific city. Yeah. But I do have specific requirements. That's fair. That's fair. It's not new Bromfells. So You're mad that I brought that up. You're mad that I got that. I don't know. I love it. I'm excited. Can you give us a directional area in Texas where it's at? Give me a quartile. I think it's southwest. believe. I should look it up. It feels northern it up. It feels northern to me. it seems like I went to Fredericksburg, they have a lot of German towns up in the like the wine high deserty whatever let's see where it is. I'm pretty sure it's in the southwest. It is southwest of Austin. Yeah. Okay. So it's it's in between Austin and San Antonio. Yeah. It's actually closer to San Antonio. Well there you go. So not a bet. I mean place Jim. Yeah, I I look I I don't I don't have a problem with that at all. U so here's my problem is you don't have a sample of said jerky for us to fall in love with new Braunfelds also. I mean I can order some it's expensive right now. It's expensive. Well you want to move in the most expensive jerky place in the world? I mean I'm just well why inexpensive there but you have to order it here and get it shipped. I don't even know how you heard of this. How did you come upon said jerky? No, it it comes in the big tub, like the ones from The Loves. Yeah, Moons. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Are you saying the loves is made in New Bromfels? Or is there something called? I think it is. Well I think that's I think but there's New Bromfels. I've ordered it before. back when I lived in somewhere else. So the loves beef jerky's very good. But loves is it's but that's how Brom New Bromf's. Jimmy used to be that by Yeah. But now it's like 60 bucks. It used to be like 30. Now they've literally priced me out of the market. Yeah, me too. A long time ago. My cardiologist priced me out of the market on that. Well, so I can't eat anymore. It hurts my teeth. I love it, but I can't eat anymore. It hurts my teeth. Just hold it in your mouth until it dissolves. So so Josh, I I'm w I'm kind of with you. And here's what's funny about that. I need options. I don't get on the water a lot. I drive by it a lot. I like the things that come out of it and I want them to go in my belly. Yeah, and it's starting to be a good time of year. It's the er the what do they call The the embers? Yeah. No, the burrs. What do they call they call we just talked about this, I thought. Maybe I talked about it somebody else. I know what's true. The monster with the burr. Yeah. Yeah, but yeah, the the embers. But but here's here's here's my thing, okay? I thought you were talking about fire embers. I do I do love I mean, dude, people that don't live here will never understand. Like when I used to go when I used to drive from here to Gulfport every morning and every morning I drive over that bridge and see what I see. We are We are very fortunate to see that. And I got sunset, sunrise, I got all kinds of pictures of my phone. Right. And there's a reason that the coastlines around water, not just coastlines, that's not the right way to say it. The edges of water, right? a riverbank, a lake bank. Is that a bank? Beaches, banks. Next to water are the we're were especially originally the the most Populated areas because of water. Of water, right. And so there's something to be said for that. But here's my thing. I'll tell you this. I would I would absolutely live in middle Mississippi. And when I say middle, I don't mean Jackson. I mean small town Mississippi. Like Mindanaw. Is there a lake? I we got creeks and rivers, right? I mean, we have all that. I mean that's right. Well, and so and so that's my thing though, is like I think that like I mean, we s we spent some time up around Starkville recently, obviously, because of Bella. And then and I spent some time in New Albany, Mississippi. a lot of these little towns have these little quaint downtown. Downtowns are just awesome, man. We spent time in Louisville, not Louisville. Yep, Louisville. Louisville, Mississippi. And their downtown is awesome. I live in North Mississippi. I'm with living in Oxford. Let me tell you what happened in in Louisville real quick, just very quickly. We did have so they have every Saturday at noon they have the the big like tornado warning, like the the siren, the glass siren. And we were downtown. So it was me, Riley, I mean so Riley was in inside of a shop and in the car was me, Briar, and Rile. Just kind of like waiting for her to come back out, right? And this happens. And I would be lying to you. I kept looking around, man. Like you didn't realize it was a test of the emergency broadcast system? I had no clue, man. Like I'm I'm dead serious. Test. This is a test. No drinking, no drugs. I I was sitting in that and I was sitting there thinking, I was like, is anybody else hearing this? And so then Briar is like, What is that? And so then I know she's hearing it. It's not just me. And but I can start looking around. Nobody's doing anything. No one is reacting. I feel like remember the War of the Worlds. It's designed to be a noise that inspires urgency. Right. And so it makes you anxious. And you're like, inspires fear. And so I'm like, what the hell is this? And I'm trying not to panic because Briar's in the car. And she she is so sensitive to that kind of thing that I was like, what? And so I opened the car door to stand up, to to get out and look around and listen. Mm-hmm. And it was so loud that I had to cover my ears. And I'm looking around and there's still no reaction. And I get back in the car and all I can think of is the movie with Tom Cruise, War of the Worlds, where they make that loud noise. Good Lord. It sounds like a steamboat engine kinda. And I'm like, this shit is really happening. Now, the the the the rational side of Brad said is not. But that tiny little bit of like is my gun gonna be enough? To stop the noise? No. To s to fight the aliens. I really did. I I there was a s very small part of me that thought there was really something crazy going on. They had those like we were getting bombed. Something was happening. Morgan called me like So freaky, dude. Pooping kittens. And so she was like, what do I do? Where do I go? I was like, well if it's a real tornado, go hide in a tub and hope for the best. Right. When I really started like looking around and seeing it like I you could see the sirens on top of these old like super old buildings with these the old school, like kind of rectangular You they're kinda rounded. Yeah it's those old school speakers. And so you knew where it's I could tell where it's coming from. It was coming from that. But man, I'm telling you, that was that was real deal. But other than that, I I digress. Other than that, Louisville, I mean, it was a cool place. Yeah. Now that he knows right now that yeah, I'm not scared anymore. What if there's an actual situation during the testing time? And then nobody does anything and they all die. Because they just think it's a Yeah. Well to sit today. Not today. Not today. But this weekend. I mean they had bad weather up there. But I think that they're you know, you look out your window, you're like, sunshine, we're probably okay. look, tornado probably should shelter. Yeah, keeping noise. But also have some situational awareness. Well, I just know it was crazy. But Back to my original point. I would live in one of those little towns, but I'm kinda like you. I I feel like I would I would need to just be around the water. Not because again, not because I go on the boat every weekend 'cause I don't. But because I just I feel like it's part of my psyche. It's a part of my aura. What do you call it? Aura. Yeah. Or personality or yeah life experience waterfront. I mean, we have a damn podcast named Coast Trash Podcast for a reason. Yeah. Because that coast is the first Well the coast is is the the you know the important part of that. During the summer we're we're on somebody's boat every other weekend, if not every week. I know and and why do we not have a boat? We're getting one. We gotta have a boat. John's getting a boat. Why do we not have a boat? We gotta have a boat, man. I'd not have a boat. I don't need a boat. I know people with boats. I know, but man, like my kids grew up on like not my kids. I grew up on on a boat and my kids have not. And I feel a little bit like I've let down, man. That was like I mean that was Jimmy. I I used to love going to Wa Island. That was a big part of our water was super clear and you could see like we go up the we've been going up the river here lately. We've been bar hopping. This is why rivers still go to Yule's place. We'll go like all we'll hit Wahoos. Yule's place is good. Gills, wahoos. Yules, orangutanes, Captain Owls. I've never been to Captain Owls off the boat off the water. But they've got a little little beachfront area you can just nose up and hop out. Yeah. You can just hang out. I like it. A lot cheaper to get your beer off. So so here's the other answer, going back to yours. Let's circle back. The Ozarks. Yeah. So remember when I was telling you about The AI takeover and I told chat GPT to tell me what it would look like. Well part of that conversation was me asking Where do I move? Where should I move to to best Yeah to shield myself mitigate the risk to me of a AI takeover? And you know where they picked? Ozarks. Kind of the northern south of St. Louis, but kinda northern. It's a little too cold for robots in the winter. It's well it's it's so it's like you can still get land relatively inexpensive. They have a lot of those like kind of mountain areas with water. There's a lot of groundwater. So what you know, obviously water isn't very important. A lot of game. And so yeah, all of those things. And and it's it's remote enough, but you're also not far away from like the big stuff. So the Ozarks is actually one of the places I'd go to, only because Chat GPD told me I'd be safe there. I looked it up and Safe is not the right thing. Yeah. You know what I Best case scenario. I looked it up and where their lake house is, if you zoom out just a smidge, it it's a river bar, river bar or you know, lake bar, lake bar, lake bar, lake bar, lake bar, lake bar, lake bar. And they're all just these little pull up on your boat, get out, have a drink. Right. These people didn't spend a lot of money. They're just slanging drinks and having a good time. It's a great it's gotta be a great place. Okay. It's on the list. I'll I'll I'll take that. We'll we'll we'll put that on the list for sure. We need to go visit it. I bet you can get a badass Airbnb or something on the water. Probably stay with Dave and Carey. I don't know Dave and Carey. But I mean doesn't mean I won't stay with him saying I don't know. No, they're very hospitable. And they have a boat. I love hospitable. Have a boat. Now I'm on a boat. Now the lake lake life, the lake the boat traffic on a lake is apparently crazy, stupid, ridiculous. Rules be damned. You know what that reminds me of pontoons with ninety horsepower fucking hauling ass. How about Caddyshack? Remember when they're on the on that big lake? yeah. In old Roddy Dangerfield. Yeah. That's what I that's what I imagine the lake's like during the summer. That's a good movie. They wrecked the judge's sloop. Bill Murray. The judge, man, that dude. His daughter, though. It's a nice hat. Look at a hat like this. He comes with a free bowl of soup. It looks good on you, though. Roddy Dangerfield was badass. Roddy Dangerfield's funny. Bill Murray's funny. Cass was funny. Yep. No, it still it still holds on, that movie. Now. Look at two, three, and four, whatever they that they I didn't know that they made they kind of moving down some. Yeah, they went a little bit. Yeah, yeah. Sequels are very rarely better than the first one. I can't think of any. As the as the oldest son I I can sequels are right. Sequels like like Indiana Jones. I mean those are sequels, but not sequels really. Yeah they are. How are they not? Well, okay, so it's Indiana Jones with a different adventure. Yeah, yeah. Or like part two, part three. Well it's like Star Wars should have all the same thing, I think. So Indiana Jones you have the the Godfather II's Lord of the Rings stuff. I watched that recently. It's actually pretty good. is it better than the first? It's different. It's different than the first. Which I like Lord of the Rings. I don't remember the diff I d I can't differentiate those. I remember the entire story and I loved every movie that I watched of Lord of the Rings. I think there's like five or three of them or four. They were books before. There's three of them. I did not read the book. I read the books. I read the books and watched movies. Read the Hollywood. But I can tell you I did enjoy the movies, but I couldn't tell you which one was better or worse. Return of the King. Is it it's only three then? Well, it's one book with three parts, but yeah. Yeah, it's one book. And so those are parts. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But it's a continuation of the story, more so. I mean it's not like you always have the Star Trek, fifty five of over that whatever many they are. Star Trek. I mean that's ever been a tracking. Not Star Trek, what's called Star Wars. Star Trek has a bunch of them too, but I'm talking like so. Alright, Star Wars. We're talking about it, man. The first three. Well. Which are not really the first three, but the first three that were I think those are four, five, and six. Right. Right. They're not the first three, but they're the first three. The first chronologically released. Yeah, the first one's released. Yeah. Yeah. The first one's released. What are we talking about? The first one's not great. The second one is pretty good. The third one is good. Return of the Jedi is okay. Empire Strikes Back is really good. Where's the which which is the one with the Ewoks? Which one is that? That's Return of the Jedi. I I look I believe him. 'Cause he's in the he's in the forest with Yoda. That's returning the Jedi. D can you dispute that so he was he was on Dagobah in the swamp with Yoda. Right. And that's when the S and then Ewoks come. No. Yoda and Ewoks never encountered each other. Well. Yoda died in the swamp. Yep. He left to go confront his father, Carfater. Yoda died? Yep, Yoda died. When nine hundred years old you reach I thought Yoda lived forever. No, because the other one I don't recall. See here's the thing. I don't recall. Any of it. But no, the the Ewoks are on indoor when they go attack yeah, that's when shut the shield down. Yeah Tan Solo and Princess Leah. Well they're in all of Yeah, but I mean that's at that part indoor part. Anyway. I vaguely remember Dude getting his arm cut off. That will be when he leaves and goes and confronts him and he says that Luke Luke I am your father. Search your feelings. I am your father. No, yeah, he never actually says that. Obi Wan didn't use Something else he says, but it's not it's I'm Luke, I'm your father. Yeah, it's I am your father. Or something's Mandela backdates. In high school when we had the big shop fans and foot the at the football at the field house I just used to love going Look, I have your Yeah, that's one of those Mandela effects. It's something else besides that. James Ronald Jones sold the rights for his voice to be digitized in perpetuity. Really? Yeah. So I'm very happy he did that. His voices. Yeah, he did it while he was alive. Him, Morgan Freeman has good voice too. True. They're they're good voices. They're good voices. And they're extremely like recognizable, right? Well yeah, Morgan Freeman is the the narrator to my life and or my death should it happen. You know who the other one I love. god you go say Matthew and Connie. That is probably I actually probably like him better than James Earl Jones, not as much as Morgan Freeman. Steven Attenborough? Close. David Attenborough. Yeah. Yeah. The one that actually did it, not his yeah long lost cousin. Richard. Yeah. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. Yeah, the BBC He does all yeah. the He's still doing them. I will watch if I'm on plane. You've been doing that shit sixty five years. I know. And if I'm on a plane. With the with the s you know, that has the TV and I'm tired. I don't you know, like I'm I was either hung over or just didn't sleep or whatever. I would I would pull up one of those blenders of the sea or whatever the hell it was. The deep ocean. Because his it's so awesome. Especially now that he's gotten older, they need to chill out a little bit or digitize his ass because like the first planet Earth's Planet Earth. That's what I was talking about. Perfect. Not to be confused with Snoop Dogg's Plizan at Earth. Blizzan at earth. I don't even know what that is. Blizzan. We'll we'll look at that later. All right. It's Snoop Dogg. Let's look at some motherfucking animals. Yeah. It's like there's some otters swimming around a a Cayman. He's like, what is them? Mongooses? shit, they w where do you see this? YouTube. He was on Jimmy Kimmel. Lord. I gotta see I gotta watch it. I love it. I love it. I love Snoop Dogg too, man. Okay. My my answer has changed. If you had you asked me this question that I'm about to ask y'all twenty years ago, it would be different. Twenty years ago, where would I live? But right now, you get to pick three people to go hang out with for a night. One night, one night, from say 7 p.m. until 3 a.m. Okay. So you've got eight hours with this person. These three people. Alive or dead? Who are the three people alive? I think about how she goes. I'd rather be alive. Is that what you're saying? Yeah, no, I'd I'd like them to be alive. three people. Now when you say hang out, is it just people I find interesting? Let me let me give you my answer what it would have been 20 years ago. N 10 years ago, 15 years ago. I think much. College. Okay, college. So it would have been very easily would have been Snoop Dogg, Kid Rock. And I don't know who the third one is actually. I think a rock might still be on the list. But Kid Rock and Kid Rock and Snoop Dogg were two the two that I I I I used to have one. I don't even remember who it is now. But but that that so that's what I'm thinking. Like I think might have pretty much people you wanna I mean people you want to hang out with for a night. I'd do Hunter S. Thompson. Good one. And Arnold Schwarzenegger. Good one. Because I idolized him. And then Jason Jason Momoa. Ooh, Jason Mom. Because I think. I just think he's cool dude and I think we'd hang out and have a great time. He's so good looking too. I mean Guinness. Talking that thing. Does he like drinking Guinness? Yeah. That's his preferred I like a Guinness too, man. That's my guy. How about me get some Guinness? Yeah. I love going to Irish bars just so I can have a Guinness. You just go to my house. Well, I know. But they're just better than an Irish bar. Well, I've got a kegerator now that I'm about to set up with nitrogen. Okay. For Guinness only. Okay. I'm in. Matthew McConaughey. Alright. Alright, all right, all right. Eli Manning. Eli Manning Interesting choice. Eli Manning. Yeah, Eli Manning. And probably Olivia Wilde. Jimmy. Do you gotta think for Olivia Wilde? yeah. Okay. Do your thing. He's talking about when she was on house. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Okay. You can do that. I I think I left that open. I feel like Jimmy has ill intentions with thirteen from house. We're gonna make her a fictional character because that sounds a little less Yeah. Well y'all bad if I said to Living Wild, I'd hang out with. Yeah I mean that's all I said. Fair point. You know, a man's man Does what a man does, you know. I mean, I I I'm not gonna argue it. I mean, look, if we're gonna hang out for a night, I'm not picking a chick. I'm just I'm just being honest. Because if that was the case, I mean I could list some, right? I mean but I'm just talking about like dudes that like it's a dude night. Well well Nicholas Cage then. I like that answer. We had a house in New Orleans for years. What about Keanu Reeves, dude? He'd probably be cool too. I don't think he parties. I think he'd be cool to hang out. I don't think he has to party. I think we go right strange enough that he's fun anyways. I'd go surfing with him, maybe, like point break. good call. Good call. That's a good call. I think Keanu Reeves would I don't want John Wojt. I don't know, dude. And then Bill and Ted's is too stupid. I love someone. Nicholas Cage. That's the one I want. I think The Rock would be pretty good. you also could throw Sean Connery in But you gotta those ideas. You you gotta throw one of those comedians in there. Right? If you're gonna have a good night out. I heard Bill Murray's a jerk. I'd love to hang out with Bill Murray, but well, you can hang out with him and find out. What if he doesn't like me? Well that that's gonna be a problem for you no matter who you at sorry. Well was that one that got That's not what I meant. What was that dude that got like got in trouble stealing Dane. I'm ignoring but in trouble stealing jokes, Dane. Cook Cook Cook, yeah, it was a big deal, now he's nothing. Yeah, he got in trouble. She got in trouble from stealing stealing jokes. I mean, not in trouble. What if they're trying to black ball? His brother got in bigger trouble for stealing millions of dollars from him as his money manager. Well. Which I mean he won't get in trouble. If you ever get millions, don't let him manage it. Don't worry. He's got black ball for like stealing people's jokes. Don't worry. Jimmy will not be my money manager. No. Jimmy can manage his own money. No. Let me borrow something. Let me borrow like four dollars. Let me hold like three dollars. If I had three dollars, I'd give two jobs for Remember that? Let me hold three dollars. That was one of the first Kansas City Chiefs, I think. HBO what is that? That's the Hardnox. Yep. Who would sign the big deal? He signed like seven million dollars. I think he said three. And we'll go to three. I know, but I want four. Either way, it was awesome. More letting me call like three dollars. We quoted that a lot. Yeah. That was that was a good show. It's still a good show. But I can't get any more ton max. I know, but I bet they're not as good as they used to be. No, they're It's just kind of the way that's kind of the way the world is. It was lighting in bottle. It's the the moment's past. Yeah. Yeah, I agree. Plus now you see like all these people wearing this CTE helmets and all this other stuff. What do you think about that? What does it remind you of? bobbleheads. Space balls. Yeah. Space balls, dude. That's all think about. Space firing assholes. It is all I think about is space balls. Yeah, I can call them space balls. Did you go over my helmet? I mean, look, and here's the here's what's crazy. That's what it looks like. I remember space balls better than I remember Star Wars. I think we were talking about Chris O Olave earlier. I think he wore olade. Well you know how like it when when you know it's like Spanish speaking, like the The V ends up kind of sounding like a B to us. It's like I mean, he could be kicking a goal in a World Cup. That's the soundbite if I've ever heard one. That almost sounded like I kinda want it to be our you were a boxer. You were introducing a boxer. It was a little Michael Buffery. A little Michael Buffery or his brother. Love they let's get ready to rumble. we're see, we can't even put that on there. Yeah, great. Now we have to pay royalties. Thanks, Jim. there goes all our profit. I'm pretty sure that we're not gonna be able to post post this now. I think we can do that. Between you ewoks and trademark bullshit, you're killing me. We're getting hammered. You're killing me, Smalls. There's another one for you. Why don't you go ahead and sing some other trademark songs that we don't have brights to? Shake your legs up. I feel like I'm over here in a like massage chair. Yes. Want my own chair. And this is not I want to dart him with Phoeni Barbital or something. This is not the ideal studio. I mean, we're gonna have a better studio. yeah. I mean I I mean it's fine. It's all warm. That bit warm. What sort of it's warm tonight? Yes, it's warm. you're enjoying that fan. Fan feels pretty good. I know I got it on my leg. I'm a little chilly. It's amazing. But it's like sev seventy six degrees outside. Do you keep your house at seventy six degrees inside when you're sleeping? Yeah. No. The hell you don't. It's sixty six. I do during the day. I've a monster. Mm-hmm. You're a grim. Today it was seventy six to that. But but I will tell you, I think our ACs I think all a thermostat and all that's just wrong here. Probably because you've got vents underneath that vinyl. That is the only thing that makes sense to me. Yeah, you're probably right. Don't tell us don't tell Riley No. I just don't know. You need to do something about it. Well yeah, but I mean I don't want to have to do something about it like right now. And that's what she'll make me do. She's always about doing stuff. Like I'm like I got plenty of time, man. I'm off for cutting a hole in there and letting some of that air out. You know what I'm saying? Like you don't have to remind me every six months. I'm gonna get to it. Or a year. Yeah. Once a year is fine. I tell you, these women, man, they just want they want all of them to decide to say no to something and then it's fine. Like that's okay. Right. Rightio, Josh. Right. You couldn't say no, I'll get Josh saying yes. Luckily my wife never says no. So Well, good for you, buddy. It is good for me. no comment. No comment. No comment. No comment. So Cruising the Coast is happening. It is happening. I've got beef I've got beef. I got beef. Bring the beef, baby. I don't like your smelly ass solid cards. I know. It was dramatic. It was very dramatic dramatic. The dramatic balls? Yes. I took an acting class in nineteen seventy two. All right, I'm with you. If you're going to an event, fine. Everybody like my friend Luke goes to all these events. He does not dawdle in the in the the thoroughfares. Middle of the road. Just randomly with your nineteen fifty four Bel Air putzing down the road. What I'm trying to get somewhere. Right. Like it's ten o'clock in Gauche. You're complaining about the traffic. I'm complaining about no, just that one guy. I can walk downtown. The problem is that one guy is a million one guys. Yeah. I said I can walk downtown and see it. You know the ones that piss me off. I know, but I'm saying I can walk downtown and see it. See it all the cars. You know the ones that piss me off? The muscle cars that drive fourteen miles per hour on the highway. I'm like, look, dude, you got like seven hundred horsepower. The back tires are this wide. Right. You've got a parachute hanging off the ass in your I mean come on. I don't think gas prices are high. But let's get to where we're fucking going. But I'm just like to be seen. That's what bullshit now does. Yeah, look at me, look at me, look at me. Well no, if it's cool enough To drive around like that, then I don't mind looking at your car too. But But just drive it. Drive it. Or a normal human where you're going earlier. Stay there. Yeah, but you know what? It's a big deal. It's a big deal for the coach. It's mu it's a moderate inconvenience for me now. It's from where I go to work and back and forth. but I worked in a luxury too. I mean when I worked in Gulfport, we used to I mean they would let us off like We you know, early and work from home even before working you know, even before COVID when working from home was not normal. I mean we we got to do some of that. Jimmy, how do you feel about traffic? Unrelated, but I love it. Segway. Traffic. They are they are closing the road. I don't drive anywhere, so I don't driving don't bother me. But do I have to go with dad? And that is the worst. It's better to be driven. The worst. The worst what? Angry driver in the world. He If he's an angriest driver, you're the angriest passenger. Maybe so, but he's terrible. It's not. They're doing like the right thing, he's gussing out. I imagine it sounds like they're doing a like a hate crime when it's both of them in the car together. And this poor little Nissan Sentra was just trying to make a left turn. And every customer that's available is being thrown out that window. With a window down, hand out, yeah, all of it. Dad whips off a thousand times more people. He's senior citizen, isn't it? That's not how people should. My dad will seriously he's so angry. Plan his day around Ocean Springs traffic. Yeah. At times to be clear. At times. Ocean Springs traffic sucks. Yeah, it does suck. At at eight o'clock in the morning, around noon, and five o'clock at night, it's terrible. When I lived in the center of town, I'm not arguing that. Off Hallstead. But I don't have to drive home for Pascagoula. I just don't plan my day around it. No, but I will say that now that I have a shorter commute over there in the county. Dad Dad is so set in his ways. When we lived in Woodland Circle, Dad would go to the Ivory Walmart. Washington? Yeah. Because there's less traffic. Anyone hear that? Somebody don't somebody get over there. Yeah. that was a hundred miles an hour in second gear. Yeah. Nice. So he would pass up the Washington neighborhood market. No that's where he would go. That's the one he would go to. But it wouldn't go to Rouse's from my house was Two hundred and fifty yards. That had nothing to do with traffic though. That's because he's a cheap ass. Yeah. And he'd save seven dollars by going to the Walmart versus the Rouses. Cheaper cheaper. Walmart's cheaper. It is cheaper. It's cheaper. Seven dollars. For a whole basket of stuff. He's also that guy that will drive around DS. Ooh. He is that guy. See. All right. Now I got a coworker who does that. I don't have to drive around. I know where to go. But But they're like, it's ten cents cheaper over here. I was like, ten cents. Thirty gallons. Where's the best place to get gas in Jackson County, Mississippi? I have no idea I don't get gas. Murphy's and Goshai. Clark's. Where's it at Murphy's now? The Murphy's and Goshe. Yeah. Yeah. I mean it's it's the best. And I'm a Walmart Plus member, so I get an additional ten ten cents off. Like I said, I don't drive anywhere, so I don't know where they kind of. Are you a Walmart Plus member? You get ten cents off. Did you know that, Jimmy? Again, I don't drive anywhere. I only there about gas. Yes. my truck is thirty-five gallon truck, thirty-five gallon gas tank. That's so many gas. I get three dollars and fifty cents off my tank of gas. And I go to Murphy's and Gaucher because I have to go there often anyways to Gaucher. I pass it. Every day. Four times a day. Right. And so it's the best place. It's always the cheapest. And I get ten per 10 cents off per gallon. How do you we'll we'll figure that out later. You just go to the damn app and click it in there and it gives you a little number. You type in the number on the thing and like I'm not as young as you are. I'm I'm I've got readers attached to You are old. You are old. I agree. I know. I I have books in my house. While I have no readers on, I can't even see the pages much as I have books in my house too, Jimmy. Weird brag. I got three books in my house. I've got manuals that I have no speaking of that I don't have the the the appliances for anymore. You know, I'm writing a book. I'm a hundred pages into a book. Nice. Is it a comic book? It's a comic book. No, it's a real book. No, it's somewhat comedic. Super bread. I really am. I'm writing a book. You should. I'm dead serious about it. Still early to write your memoirs, but no, it's not that. But is it about a southern lawyer? 'Cause I think that's been done. Mm-hmm. Not runs. No. It's not like a Stephen King novel either. I'm a nonfiction writer. Here's how not to fuck up your life. Don't do what I did. I mean, yeah. That's my book. Yeah. Book over. I do. I'm I'm dead serious about it though. I I really am broken. look. I'm broke again. I'm probably right around a hundred pages into it. And I already got the second book idea. Actually I already had the third book idea too. They're all gonna be related. Okay. I love the silence. No because y'all y'all are y'all are also like Riley and you know all of the things that I'm like, I'm gonna do this. no, I'm gonna do this. I got this great idea. Well, I just turned it completely around. I'm like, that sounds like something I should do and never finish. Yeah. There you go. wouldn't even start. So yeah, I started. No defense, I wouldn't even start. So like I've got a writing desk. Well, I mean I don't I'm not writing it. I'm a very fast type. I got a an inkwell and a freaking like an old timing pan. How are you doing on that? It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. No, that would be pretty cool, but I don't write I I can't you know, I feel uncomfortable writing every day. Like freehand just. When I have to write something, I don't I feel uncomfortable. I because most of it I do on the computer or on my phone. I write illegible, so I He does it's pretty bad. His is bad. His was bad before the brain injury. After brain injury, it's it's it's noticeably worse. your phone will dictate for you though. Right. So that's what I've been doing. So I'm a fast typer. I do enjoy typing. So for my book, what I have been doing is I do type a lot. But then when there's no one around, I just do the voice dictation. Yeah. It's so good. And then then I just like, you know, like so I say I'm about a hundred pages in, which is accurate. I'm about I think it's about seven. Mm. I just started the eighth chapter. So it's seven chapters. And so then I just take everything and I put it in into AI and I'm like, you know, let's just clean it up a little bit, right? Yeah. And so I think you have to like disclose that. I don't give a shit. I'm not trying to like, hey, I'm an author. But the book is gonna be good. And and the book is mine, cleaned up, you know, via Yeah, mean y yeah, you'd have to if you want salads, you'd have to say that, but yeah, I mean I'm telling you, dude. It's a it's a good book. I'm gonna give me a drink. Wait it's like what do you mean? Give me a root beer out of the fridge. You can't wait like ten minutes. Sure. 'Cause we're probably pretty close to being done. Sure. Yeah, I should have. That root beer would be so that root beer be See now you look uncomfortable. Like you're like, my god, I gotta have this root beer so bad. Nope, I'm good. We still have spies. Yeah. We have spies amongst us. Hey, grab Uncle Jimmy a root beer, please. In the refrigerator in the back. I I don't think it's a root beer. It might be a Dr. Pepper, buddy. It might be a Dr Pepper. No, it's a Dr. Pepper, it's a root beer. It's a bark. Bring him a soda. we got a waitress. When I'm a diet coke. Which is fine. Could be that. I didn't even think about that. I mean you gotta they gotta do something to earn her keep around here. Why is she awake? It is It's fall break, dude. It's nine seventeen. So yeah. We gotta keep a schedule. Bet the boys asleep. So back to Osama bin Ryle. yeah. Days are always good. The terrorist of Nottingham. That's gonna be chapter in the book. There you go. Osama bin Ryle He is a terrorist terrorist of Nottingham. What is it? The horrible prints. Are you clothed appropriately? 'Cause you're about to walk in front of that camera. It's too late now. We're in it. Hurry up. There was only Dr. Pickler. That's right. Come here. Hello. Thanks for stopping by to Coast Trash podcast. Go put clothes on. It's not a beer. More. What's not a beer? No, it's done my sheet. It's not a beer. Beggar skipped. If I'm being honest, she still remains my favorite human on the planet. She's top tier. She's come a long way. Initially, I was skeptical. I was not and then I was bestowed upon my cup several stickers. And Very nice sweet nothings and whatever and that I really appreciate that. Yeah, I mean hugs and we're I mean look, you're not supposed to pick a favorite, but she's my favorite human. the the little terrorist over there tried to eat me with a plastic dinosaur and throw it at me. That's what he does. He destroys things. I mean he yeah. Brad's right he's a terrorist. Yeah. I mean, he's a sleeper cell. That's a heavy name to drop. Right, Osama Ben. It's a heavy name to drop. And I drop it almost affectionately because he is that level of terrorist. He does require a lot of attention. In the home. You know, in the home. Yeah. in the store, probably. Where yeah, where wherever he's around. Yeah. Wherever he is, he's a terrorist. Yeah, he's not like trying to kill people and stuff, but otherwise, same. That plastic dinosaur drive. No, no, look, if death happens, it's not his fault. that was not his intent. That was not his intent. Because he did say RAR and throw a dinosaur. Bro. Bro. I fear for Malaya. This dude, we have a a dinosaur costume that fits him so perfectly. And you know what he does? No, it's not. You know what he does? He gets his steps and he's like Like he acts it out. He did it earlier. Yeah. Yeah. But when you have him in he sticks his teeth out. But when he's actually in the costume character. Dude, it is awesome. It's awesome. It's pretty cool. He's okay. Neighbor just texted. Are y'all's toilets flushing? fuck. Tell him absolutely. I don't know what you flushed, but you I wonder at the power company. my gosh. What? Anything to do with sewer. Well, you live on a hill. Yeah, there's a s there's a manhole in my backyard. I guarantee you none of us can fit in it. We can find out. Not if it's having trouble flushing. Today ain't today. Right. You want to do it on a dry month? Yeah. Plus, there might be like bugs and shit down there and homie don't play that. So did you know that roaches are good? Okay. I just want to hear. So listen, so my sewer, my sewer guys, they told me that if you open a manhole and there's no roaches. Are you okay? I'm burping, Brad. I don't think you're about to puke. Yeah. But they said if you open a manhole and there's no roaches, that's a that's that's a sign that there's too much gas in there. That's not good. Well guess who's not opening that a manhole? To find out. Right. You're so but they're supposed to like you're literally supposed to open it up and there should be a bunch. I've got a flamethrower at my house. Me too. I got one that looks like a machine gun. I got one that shoots a twenty-five foot flame of mixed gas and diesel. I do not have that. All right. So we have a a few things that I want to do. Right. So we still have the what I call the gots to go. Gots to go. Something that's very popular, something that everybody likes, something that's a fad that you're just like freaking tired of and you want it to go away. That fan? Yeah. You want the fan to go away or you just want to No, no. I want you to go away so I can sit there. Do you have one, Jimbo? I'll may have one that'd be suitable for this podcast. Okay, fair. Mildly intrigued though. A little bit. I think he just said that because he didn't have one. Nice, Mr. Egg. I don't have one either. But I'll tell you what, there's I don't send the homework home for no reason, right? I'm the teacher. I send the homework home. I expect the homework to be done. What were the first three things I said? There's no more homework. I could have just repeated that. Point taken. Point taken. Okay. I have I have I have made you use too many. Well, I could actually record if I was smart I could have just reused them. I don't really have one. I'll be honest with I don't have one. Gentle parenting. That shit's got to go out the window. We're creating a world of little gremlins and I don't like it. That seems more like a societal soft. That's a bigger issue. Soft kiss. It's a serious issue. It's a serious issue. But you know what? You know what I you Jimmy is the way he is because of gentle parenting. Dude, this is like this is that whole Yeah, that you that does drive. I call it cradle culture. Yeah. Cradle culture. Why is why are there so many different generations in the last thirty years? I thought a generation was supposed to be Yeah. A a lifetime. Yeah. At least a reasonable amount of time, not fifteen years. But it's a lifetime. A generation. Yeah, I don't know what generation I am. You don't know what the definition is. Degeneration. A generation is a lifetime, right? Like this is four generations, which is a father to the son to the grandson. Right. Great grandfather, and so on and so forth. I tell you what, our grandparents, grandparents, grandsparents, all the way back, they were badasses, dude. yeah. Like our grandparents were the badasses. Moreina. She was a They're badasses, man. She was working it out. We're like the last generation of bad asses. Because the the kids that are like if somebody hit you, somebody was bullying you. You turn around and punch them the mouth. It's a it it's Or you sat there and ate that shit. Right. It is a real problem. It's a real problem. it's definitely a problem. That's because we have more more now than our grandparents ever did. That's more access to food, utilities, anything. we're definitely the seventy five years ago as they call it the Moorish. We're the Moorish. Seventy five years ago, nobody had a hot shower. That thing in my pocket right now ruined kids. What's in your pocket, Jim? Your cell phone. Cell phones ruin kids. Is that what's vibrating your leg right now? No, it's just me. But cell phones. Make that big wiggle a little bit. Internet, cell phones, internet, th that ruined But that's not the that's not the problem. The problem is is that we have to label everything. Right. And everything is not just it's a stressor or it's not just a that's that's part of my book, by the way. It's like everything is microaggressions. Everything that happens is not a a a a a diagnosable or or everything that happens in somebody's life is not a a personal affront to them. Like that didn't happen just to you. Right. There's a thousand people that got fired, you know, or you know, struggle. let me Everybody struggles from time to time. But that's how you know when things are going well. And guess what? You can't have one without the other. It's light and dark, day and night. It's nonsense. Data, I've been broke six six or eight different times in my life and I've been well off. It's the yin and the yang, bruh. The yang and the yang. And you know, we're in a downturn now. It's a declining market. But we're coming back around. It's the yin and the yang. It really was wealthy. Well, he's had pretty good money. It's all relative, Jim. Yeah. Honestly. Because I don't make as much money as you do, but I have a wife that loves me, I have two kids that are reasonably attractive. You make much more money than I do. Here here here's the thing. Seriously. If you take some of these look, if you if you were to take the United States of America's twenty to twenty eight year olds. Okay. Eight years. Twenty twenty-eight. The entire country. And you put those in nineteen twenty five. They never survive. They would die. They would die. Yeah, it would never survive. And and I'm not saying that in a way like I'm not saying it to be funny. Like they would not make it. They wouldn't make it. Yeah, they wouldn't get their lundi. It would be a small population. Of of of that group that would actually make it. Well I don't think I would make it. Tip thing was it? When's it to the like the twenties and thirties? Is that during prohibition? Because I'm out. And some of it some of it is probably would've taken that chance. Like we talked about earlier or the other day. Me and Brad used to wake up in morning, eight o'clock in the morning, we eat breakfast by Wolfball all day till We'd stop for lunch, play with all day. Kids don't do that anymore. They're on their phones. Kids don't wiffle. They don't wiffle. But I mean, we were outside. We're playing football or Well we are the last great generation. There's also How about that? Can we say that? Yeah. We we as forty five to fifty year olds. That late forties. So let's just say late forties. We're the last. Great generation. I don't know if we're the What do they call them? What do they call the the greatest generation? What is that? Yeah, that's the World War II people. Is that the boomers? That's World War II. No, no, no, no. That's World War II. Lost Generation. The Greatest Generation was after the Depression. Are the Boomers not the Great Generation? Their greatest generation. No. Well, whoever it is. I think we're the last ones. We're the last great generation. We're the last of the dying the before AI legitimate we can start a fire. If we need to. Done it. without a match. And I beat my chest like I was Tom Cr Tom Hanks. Yeah. I thought you were going Tarzan, but yeah. I don't think Tarzan needed a fire. I think you're into monkeys. All right. Last one. Recommendation. This is your personal recommendation. You put your name on it. You stamp your name on it. You gotta own it. So personal recommendation. Polk's smoked sausage. Accidentally delivered by Walmart to yours truly. Put it in a shrimp bowl this weekend. Phenomenal. Where's my invite to the shrimp bowl? I don't like you, Yeah, no, it was we were yeah, it was raining all weekend. Corny got some shrimp off the boat. You know, 'cause she works at the harbor. And we ended up deveining them because they're very sandy. Yep. It's white shrimp. I'm pretty sure I've had it. It's very similar to the sausage we grew up on. Jimmy's had a sauce. It's it's kinda s it's not a hot dog. But it's and it's not the cheap sausage that's similar to a hot dog, but it's it's similar almost. It boils well. does it kept its moisture. And it it it grills really well. I have not grilled it yet, but I appreciate it. I like I like the red dots. Nobody else likes them, but I love the red dots. Yeah. But I'll second it for that reason. I only had it in that one particular application. I will explore it and get back and we will Further review and testing is required. But that is my I like testing all sausage. His beef jerky is good. It's good. there are times where it's a little overseasoned. Yeah. And and sometimes a little too fatty. But I'll tell you what, if you get the fat I'm okay when it's fresh. Yeah, but the fat goes rancid quicker. Yeah. Put it in the refrigerator on the top of a couple weeks ago. Right. Do do you know the last time I got it? I had a bag. I had a bag la no, I shit, I get it I get it routinely. So I bought a I bought a bag a couple weeks ago. If I bought, you know, it's a five for 40 or whatever it is. At the fresh market. And I am telling you right now it's the best one. I still like the one from New Orleans better, but I mean it's good one from New Orleans? There's seventy seven from New Orleans. He's talking about the Crescent or the central grocery one, yeah. And I disagree. Especially the last time I went. I I did not I didn't even I found it to be too bread heavy. And to be not as good as I thought it was oily so close. It was oily and bread heavy. Like I said, the one bullets is so close. I mean I'll it's a mile away. I'm good with it.
