- 0:24Speaker 1: Welcome inside the treehouse. It is time to join me,
- 0:30Speaker 1: Daniel Mallley and Trey Trenholm for some laughs, some fun.
- 0:36Speaker 1: As we stare at an NFL sized stadium. Hang on,
- 0:41Speaker 1: as we stare at an NFL stadium size asteroid hurtling
- 0:45Speaker 1: itself towards our planet. That would be the obvious place
- 0:49Speaker 1: for us to start today's show Tuesday, September seventeenth, twenty
- 0:54Speaker 1: twenty four. But oh no, not us. Uh, We're gonna
- 0:59Speaker 1: go even stupider. And that is carrying over from yesterday's show,
- 1:11Speaker 1: where we were very excited to learn that the nineteen
- 1:16Speaker 1: eighty five classic movie The Goonies was finally getting a
- 1:22Speaker 1: long awaited sequel. And then I woke up this morning
- 1:27Speaker 1: to the news that, oh, not so fast. This is
- 1:35Speaker 1: like if it was college Game Day and Lee Corso,
- 1:38Speaker 1: but you know, the mascot head on, except if the
- 1:42Speaker 1: mascot head was slothed from Goonies. And then someone told
- 1:46Speaker 1: him not so fast, and he's got to take it
- 1:47Speaker 1: off and go What turns out it was a tabloid
- 1:52Speaker 1: rumor there is no Goonies sequel. Oh I am devastated.
- 2:04Speaker 2: It was just click bait.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much. I'm actually not devastated. It makes sense
- 2:09Speaker 1: because I the place where I saw it, I expected
- 2:13Speaker 1: to see it in more places because that would be
- 2:17Speaker 1: big news. I mean, that's a that's a gen X classic.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Nineteen eighty five, a group of kids trying to save
- 2:25Speaker 1: their homes from foreclosure strike out on a quest to
- 2:30Speaker 1: find the treasure of One Eyed Willie off the Pacific
- 2:34Speaker 1: northwest coast of Astoria, Oregon, with a slapstick family of
- 2:42Speaker 1: the Fertelli's hot on their heels, and they're in search
- 2:47Speaker 1: for pirate treasure to save their homes. And the eighties
- 2:50Speaker 1: were great.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I did wonder about how they were, how they were
- 2:57Speaker 2: gonna do that. I mean, like Shawn asked, and is
- 3:02Speaker 2: a little fluffy these days.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Look, it's not like he's the only one. I think
- 3:10Speaker 1: you could have a true representation of the Goonies as adults,
- 3:15Speaker 1: because look, we all know we're in that same age
- 3:18Speaker 1: group as the Goonies kids were when that movie came out, Right,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I think I was a little younger, trade you might
- 3:22Speaker 1: have been right in there, like you might have been
- 3:25Speaker 1: the same age as the Goonies kids. And you know
- 3:30Speaker 1: this as well as I do that as you get older,
- 3:34Speaker 1: some things get softer, and not all of us look
- 3:38Speaker 1: better in our middle age than we did in our adolescents.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Some of us, some of us look a hell of
- 3:45Speaker 1: a lot worse. So I think the Goonies, if it
- 3:49Speaker 1: ever actually does do a reboot or a sequel and
- 3:51Speaker 1: it involves the original cast, you got to show him
- 3:56Speaker 1: as they are.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but I mean, what's the adventure going to
- 3:59Speaker 2: be going going to Walgreens and not spraining something.
- 4:04Speaker 1: That may play a role? Yeah, maybe data comes up
- 4:08Speaker 1: with the midlife crisis, handy capable devices. Who knows their
- 4:14Speaker 1: possibilities really are endless. And I'd also like to take
- 4:17Speaker 1: this moment to point out that I've thought about the
- 4:20Speaker 1: Goonies sequel way too much over the twenty four hours.
- 4:23Speaker 1: That's the only reason I'm actually a little disappointed that
- 4:26Speaker 1: it's not happening. I've already got a premise in mind
- 4:29Speaker 1: of how they could do a Goonies sequel, and you
- 4:33Speaker 1: want me to tell it to you? Yeah, Okay, here
- 4:36Speaker 1: you go. The Goony sequel would start with basically the
- 4:40Speaker 1: same way the first one started. So the first one
- 4:42Speaker 1: started with the Fortelli's the one brother being busted out
- 4:46Speaker 1: of jail by his family right by his brother and mama.
- 4:50Speaker 1: The second one could start similarly with the brothers getting
- 4:56Speaker 1: out of prison for the attempted murder of all those
- 4:59Speaker 1: goonies roughly forty years later, which sounds about right from
- 5:04Speaker 1: a sentencing standpoint, forty years for the attempted murder of
- 5:07Speaker 1: a number of children in the Pacific Northwest. They get
- 5:11Speaker 1: out on maybe some decent behavior, They get out on parole,
- 5:15Speaker 1: and they want to exact revenge on the goonies. There's
- 5:19Speaker 1: there's your setup, there's your inciting incident. Now, Hollywood, go
- 5:24Speaker 1: do the rest. I've already given you. You know, I've
- 5:26Speaker 1: already given you the first part to get it all started.
- 5:28Speaker 2: I mean, and you could also. I mean one of
- 5:31Speaker 2: their homes is in foreclosure. It's just not their parents anymore.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Maybe maybe that's it, you know, maybe maybe it's Sean
- 5:39Speaker 1: Aston's character. He's having some trouble with the home life.
- 5:44Speaker 1: And you know, Josh Brolin, who played the older brother,
- 5:47Speaker 1: is still in great shape. That actually fits in well
- 5:49Speaker 1: with the original. And Shawn Aston's little fluffy er. You know,
- 5:52Speaker 1: he's middle ages. As a lot of middle aged guys are,
- 5:54Speaker 1: you know himself go a little bit and maybe he's
- 5:57Speaker 1: on the brink of divorce and foreclosure and just really
- 5:59Speaker 1: having a hard time, and Chunk comes back into his
- 6:02Speaker 1: life being newly trim and slim, because that's what he
- 6:06Speaker 1: looks like now, he's trim and slim, and he's like
- 6:08Speaker 1: an entertainment lawyer. And maybe he comes back and tries
- 6:11Speaker 1: to help Sean Aston's character save his home.
- 6:15Speaker 2: And I can't blame Sean Aston. I mean, he got
- 6:17Speaker 2: that hobbit money.
- 6:18Speaker 1: So look, the last time he was in shape was
- 6:22Speaker 1: when he carried Frodo up that mountain. He's fine to
- 6:27Speaker 1: relax now he's earned it.
- 6:29Speaker 2: He's carrying the bags of money down.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Exactly, you carry Elijah, what up sax of cash down?
- 6:35Speaker 1: You are good to go. You were golden and if
- 6:38Speaker 1: you can just do what you want when you want,
- 6:40Speaker 1: that's why he was able to have that role in
- 6:42Speaker 1: The Stranger Things, and that was perfect, not a whole
- 6:46Speaker 1: lot of commitment to it, very impactful and still has
- 6:49Speaker 1: his bags of cash from Tolkien. But it was kind
- 6:54Speaker 1: of a sad thing when I found out that the
- 6:57Speaker 1: Gooni sequel was in fact not el. The some of
- 7:03Speaker 1: the original Goonies cast shut down the rumor of the sequel,
- 7:07Speaker 1: although Sean Aston said it's our time, come on Stephen
- 7:10Speaker 1: as in Steven Spielberg. My favorite, though, was from Corey Feldman,
- 7:15Speaker 1: who said everyone is asking. I can officially tell you one. No,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I have no info that a sequel is in the works.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I wonder maybe a sequel is in the works. They
- 7:25Speaker 1: just didn't want to tell Corey Feldman about it.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Yeah, as he says that as he's about to go
- 7:33Speaker 2: perform at some mall and.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Tokyo as a Michael Jackson impersonator.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Uh. They even went to Martha Plimpton. If you
- 7:44Speaker 1: remember that she was a part of the Goonies. She
- 7:47Speaker 1: was Andy's friend, the one of the glasses Steph. She said, people,
- 7:51Speaker 1: there is no Goonies two script. There was no one attached.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Spielberg is not directing. It's not real. What is real
- 7:57Speaker 1: is check your registration and go vote. Okay. Sean Aston, though,
- 8:01Speaker 1: seems to be pushing for it. He posted a fake
- 8:05Speaker 1: poster and said in the caption it's our time, come
- 8:08Speaker 1: on Stevensielberg. So it goes back to the first thing
- 8:11Speaker 1: that I mentioned, But it sounds like Sean Aston with
- 8:14Speaker 1: his bags of cash is happy to jump back into
- 8:16Speaker 1: the Goonies franchise and with the resurgence of I know
- 8:20Speaker 1: I'm saying his name wrong, and I apologize. The actor
- 8:23Speaker 1: that plays Data Kihi Kwan coming off of a Marvel
- 8:29Speaker 1: project and everything everywhere, all of the once success. I mean,
- 8:35Speaker 1: he's a hot commodity. So yeah, it sounds like it
- 8:37Speaker 1: is their time. If there ever was going to be
- 8:39Speaker 1: a time for the Goonies sequel, this would be it.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Yeah. That was part of his like Oscar acceptance speech,
- 8:44Speaker 2: like Goonies Forever, or maybe the conference after.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Honestly, I just got a chill hearing that. That made
- 8:49Speaker 1: me really happy. It's like Dada got an Oscar. That's
- 8:50Speaker 1: freaking awesome.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but you wonder, Sorry, there have been talks of
- 8:56Speaker 2: redoing and sequels to a lot of eighties movies, and
- 9:00Speaker 2: sometimes I think, I mean, obviously Top Gun worked out fantastic,
- 9:04Speaker 2: but some of them, you wonder if they just yea,
- 9:08Speaker 2: let them rest as the treasures they are.
- 9:12Speaker 1: If I could, if I could quote the title of
- 9:14Speaker 1: another nineteen eighty five film, maybe they're just better off dead.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Yeah, that's.
- 9:22Speaker 1: By the way, I've still got the top movies from
- 9:24Speaker 1: nineteen eighty five, Up and Better Off Dead number eighty
- 9:29Speaker 1: nine on the list. Nineteen eighty five really was a
- 9:34Speaker 1: freakishly good year for films. Yeah So, in case anyone
- 9:38Speaker 1: missed it, so nineteen eighty five Top box Office Films
- 9:41Speaker 1: number one, Back to the Future, number two, Beverly Hills
- 9:43Speaker 1: Cop number three, Rambow, First Blood Part two, number four,
- 9:46Speaker 1: Rocky four, Hell Yeah, number five, Cocoon number six, Witness
- 9:49Speaker 1: number seven, The Goonies, number eight, Police Academy two, The
- 9:52Speaker 1: First Assignment, number nine, Fletched, number ten, of You To
- 9:55Speaker 1: a Kill, which was a James Bond film, Number eleven,
- 9:57Speaker 1: National Lampoons, European Vacation. Then on on the list, you've
- 10:00Speaker 1: got movies like The Breakfast Club, Heil Writer, Big Pee
- 10:04Speaker 1: Wee's Big Adventure, Brewsters, Millions, Mad Max, Beyond Thunderdorm, Beyond Thunderdome,
- 10:10Speaker 1: Spies Like Us, one of my all time favorite comedies,
- 10:12Speaker 1: Commando with Schwarzenegger, Teen Wolf, Silverado, an all time great Western,
- 10:17Speaker 1: Saint Elmo's Fire, Jewel of the Nile, The Last Dragon,
- 10:22Speaker 1: Barry Gordy's The Last Dragon, Hell Yeah, Frank Night, Summer Rental,
- 10:27Speaker 1: Weird Science, Santa Claus, The Movie Porky's Revenge Volunteers. You
- 10:36Speaker 1: remember Volunteers. I think that was if I remember correct,
- 10:39Speaker 1: that was also John Candy and Tom Hanks. Ye care
- 10:43Speaker 1: Bears movie A Nightmare on Elm Street. I think that
- 10:46Speaker 1: was actually left over from the previous year, but that
- 10:47Speaker 1: still kind of counts. Invasion USA with Chuck Dorris. Hell, yeah,
- 10:53Speaker 1: Out of Africa, The Gods Must Be Crazy starman Remo Williams,
- 10:58Speaker 1: The Adventure Begins. I can't believe I actually watched that movie,
- 11:01Speaker 1: and not only did we watch it, but my dad
- 11:04Speaker 1: went to the trouble to dub it so I was
- 11:06Speaker 1: able to go back and watch it again later. Man,
- 11:08Speaker 1: that was actually a terrible movie. But whatever, it's on
- 11:10Speaker 1: the list.
- 11:12Speaker 2: It's talking about. There's maybe you mentioned and when you
- 11:16Speaker 2: said it, I thought of another movie, and it's a
- 11:18Speaker 2: movie that you just simply could not and should not
- 11:22Speaker 2: be made. Uh, you're talking about Brewster's Millions. Oh yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 2: if you remember another Richard Pryor movie called The Toy.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Oh, let me say, if I remember this correctly, the
- 11:36Speaker 1: plot of The Toy starring Richard Pryor, Jackie Gleason and
- 11:42Speaker 1: Jackie Gleason wasn't wasn't it like a rich man got
- 11:46Speaker 1: a black man as a toy for his child.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Not only could that movie not be made today, I
- 11:56Speaker 1: think it was pretty risky to make it in the eighties.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought about that.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I was like, ooh, I mean, look at it this way.
- 12:08Speaker 1: If anyone can play that role, it would be Richard Pryor.
- 12:12Speaker 1: If they were to do that movie today, the obvious
- 12:14Speaker 1: casting would be Kevin Hart because he's already toy sized.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Just a couple more, Return to Oz came out in
- 12:23Speaker 1: nineteen eighty five, Missing in Action to the beginning another
- 12:26Speaker 1: Chuck Norris hit number eighty nine, Better Off Dead ninety
- 12:32Speaker 1: two Explorers Watch that. That was a kid's movie, Johnny
- 12:36Speaker 1: Dangerously with Michael Keaton. Once Bitten, Once Bitten, Jim Carrey's
- 12:43Speaker 1: first film. He gets bitten by a female vampire the
- 12:50Speaker 1: color purple.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Oh, that had to have been a leftover.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I think a number of these are. But here's another
- 12:55Speaker 1: one that was also one oh W eight breaking two
- 12:58Speaker 1: electric boogloo hell yeah. And one more that is near
- 13:06Speaker 1: and dear to my heart and it's absolutely terrible, And
- 13:08Speaker 1: the fact that it even made the top one hundred
- 13:10Speaker 1: and nineteen eighty five is shocking to me. American Ninja.
- 13:17Speaker 2: You don't think that one was a holdover from eighty four?
- 13:20Speaker 1: That I don't. I don't think it was the No,
- 13:24Speaker 1: I don't. Here's at that time in nineteen eighty five,
- 13:31Speaker 1: I was in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, forty miles north of Tulsa.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I don't ever remember seeing American Ninja at either of
- 13:39Speaker 1: the two movie theaters we had.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I doubt that one made it the small town,
- 13:45Speaker 2: I mean, that was your that was your dollar cinema tray.
- 13:51Speaker 1: All of our cinemas were dollars cinemas in my town.
- 13:55Speaker 1: But you're right. This goes back to what we were
- 13:57Speaker 1: saying yesterday that a lot of these movies that are
- 13:59Speaker 1: still in the top one for nineteen eighty five were
- 14:01Speaker 1: also nineteen eighty four holdovers because you had so many
- 14:05Speaker 1: movies that stayed in the theater for so long.
- 14:09Speaker 2: And it's so hard for people, younger people to understand
- 14:12Speaker 2: that in the mid eighties, cable television wasn't even really
- 14:17Speaker 2: a thing. You had three channels, and you wanted, like
- 14:22Speaker 2: everyone went to the movies. That's what you did. I mean,
- 14:25Speaker 2: that's that was your source of entertainment.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Yeah, because we sure as hell weren't reading. And this
- 14:36Speaker 1: actually was was posted a comment on one of our
- 14:40Speaker 1: one of the comments on our show yesterday on our
- 14:42Speaker 1: Patreon channel from James. He's in Longview, and he says
- 14:46Speaker 1: that the AMC movie theater that he runs it has
- 14:49Speaker 1: ten screens. And this goes to what we were saying
- 14:52Speaker 1: yesterday and just again today about how long movies were
- 14:55Speaker 1: in the theaters back in the eighties versus today. It's
- 14:58Speaker 1: like you blink, the movie's gone out of the theater
- 15:01Speaker 1: by today's standards. He actually says something has to be astronomically,
- 15:06Speaker 1: something has to do astronomical numbers for me to have
- 15:10Speaker 1: it more than two to three weeks in my theater.
- 15:12Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I mean, it makes sense when you think about it.
- 15:18Speaker 1: I mean it's it's we're approaching forty years of our
- 15:26Speaker 1: attention spans shrinking.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Well, and also I'm sure you know there it's part
- 15:33Speaker 2: of their you know, money making process or budgeting of
- 15:36Speaker 2: movies now is they're going to shorten the run in
- 15:39Speaker 2: the theater so it creates more demand when they release
- 15:42Speaker 2: it on whatever streaming platform. Yeah, they're going to do it.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's amazing because it just the whole cinema
- 15:53Speaker 1: experience is kind of dying. I thought it might have
- 15:56Speaker 1: a resurgence after COVID, but it's still like the it's
- 16:00Speaker 1: not really happening the way I thought, or at least
- 16:03Speaker 1: the way I hope, because I still love going to
- 16:05Speaker 1: the movies.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, especially some of the theaters now where
- 16:11Speaker 2: it's kind of less they lessen to the number of seats,
- 16:16Speaker 2: but they're bigger, they're comfier, and it's a it's a
- 16:19Speaker 2: it's a great experience.
- 16:21Speaker 1: It is. I mean, you and I went to a
- 16:22Speaker 1: movie recently. You and I went to see Twisters. Had
- 16:24Speaker 1: a great time. We did the the we did the
- 16:26Speaker 1: popcorn bucket trick on each other. What a wonderful evening.
- 16:31Speaker 1: So not only did we watch Twisters, we got them
- 16:33Speaker 1: as well.
- 16:37Speaker 3: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Visit us online at Treehouse on air dot com.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Seriously try that for date night. Say hey, honey, do
- 16:46Speaker 1: you wanna you want to give a twister while watching Twisters?
- 16:54Speaker 1: Let's talk to Daniel Cook from cook DFW Roofing and Restoration.
- 16:57Speaker 1: The phone number to contact him and Carrie Cook very
- 17:00Speaker 1: talented duo in the roofing and remodeling and registration business.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Hat tip to you, Steve from Offbeat The light side
- 17:10Speaker 1: of law enforcement. Restoration is the word you give them
- 17:12Speaker 1: a call eight three three Cookie DFW the website cookdfw
- 17:15Speaker 1: dot com. Daniel, how long is a roof supposed to last?
- 17:20Speaker 5: Manufacturers stopped using a terminology as far as an age
- 17:24Speaker 5: of a roof shingle because they used to have the
- 17:27Speaker 5: typical twenty twenty five, thirty year, even fifty year shingles,
- 17:31Speaker 5: and that's how they would advertise them.
- 17:33Speaker 1: And how long did they actually last.
- 17:35Speaker 5: Well, if you're in Texas, you know about the weather here,
- 17:37Speaker 5: so we go from zero to one hundred and fifteen.
- 17:39Speaker 5: We also have traumatic winds, hell and all kinds of
- 17:42Speaker 5: other things beaten the crap out of your roof.
- 17:44Speaker 1: So the possibility exists you could buy a fifty year
- 17:48Speaker 1: roof and fifty days later you may need a new roof. Absolutely,
- 17:52Speaker 1: it does happen.
- 17:53Speaker 5: I've heard horror stories personally in our company, we have
- 17:57Speaker 5: replaced a roof on two different customers back to back years,
- 18:01Speaker 5: So back to back years they've had the roof for replace.
- 18:04Speaker 5: Now I do know some other owners of some companies
- 18:06Speaker 5: though they've actually replaced the roof in back to back months.
- 18:10Speaker 5: So it does happen, and unfortunately the average life by
- 18:14Speaker 5: insurance experts at seven and a half years.
- 18:17Speaker 1: What would happen if you did a roof made out
- 18:20Speaker 1: of flubber?
- 18:22Speaker 5: Wow? Yeah, I mean that could be an idea. I
- 18:24Speaker 5: mean there are some roofs that are made of rubberized
- 18:27Speaker 5: material and different different items that there's so much experimentation
- 18:31Speaker 5: right now and roofing. They're trying to figure out how
- 18:33Speaker 5: to make them more durable, how can they last? But
- 18:35Speaker 5: then you're you're competing against not just one element, you're
- 18:37Speaker 5: competing against a multitude development. It'd be different. You know,
- 18:40Speaker 5: when you're in hurricane prone see areas, you make roofs
- 18:43Speaker 5: that don't blow any easy, right, But that's not that's
- 18:46Speaker 5: just one of our issues here. So you got to
- 18:48Speaker 5: be and you want them to be cosmetically nice looking.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Yep, they can't be hideous. And when you need a
- 18:54Speaker 1: new roof where you think that they might be in
- 18:56Speaker 1: need of some repair, you make sure and called Daniel Cook,
- 18:59Speaker 1: the expert that we try to inside the Treehouse eight
- 19:01Speaker 1: three to three Cook DFW eight three three Cook DFW

- 20:10Speaker 1: little bit and then and then we get turned on.
- 20:13Speaker 1: And I'm now realizing what I'm saying. Let's do that.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Let's talk about an asteroid. What do you say, all right,
- 20:21Speaker 1: because instead of talking about the possibly destructive asteroid hurtling
- 20:25Speaker 1: towards our planet, we needed to talk about movies from
- 20:28Speaker 1: nineteen eighty five feet priorities inside the tree has But
- 20:33Speaker 1: now that we've got that out of our system and
- 20:35Speaker 1: we know that the goonies aren't having a sequel, which
- 20:38Speaker 1: means we might as well get hit by an asteroid,
- 20:40Speaker 1: then NASA issued an alert for a stadium sized asteroid
- 20:45Speaker 1: set to make a close approach to Earth today. The
- 20:48Speaker 1: twenty twenty four zero in asteroid measures two hundred and
- 20:52Speaker 1: ninety meters or nine hundred and fifty feet. Because we're
- 20:55Speaker 1: American and you say, f off to the metric system.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Nine hundred and fifty feet across and we'll be coming
- 21:03Speaker 1: within one million kilometers of Earth.
- 21:07Speaker 3: All these.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I understand the scientists of the world all use the
- 21:12Speaker 1: metric system, but we were all raised on the non
- 21:15Speaker 1: metric system, the American standard whatever system, So we don't
- 21:19Speaker 1: know what the the kilometers to miles thing really is.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Is it like zero point six kilometers for every mile tray.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Something like that.
- 21:26Speaker 1: That's so one million kilometers of Earth in miles would
- 21:33Speaker 1: be one like zero point six of that, so I'll
- 21:38Speaker 1: let you do your own math anyway. That's according to
- 21:44Speaker 1: the US Space Agency's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Six hundred and seventy one miles.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Six hundred and twenty one thousand miles. See, I was
- 21:54Speaker 1: pretty close point six lore could we go? So it's
- 22:00Speaker 1: undred twenty thousand miles within Earth. The space rock last
- 22:04Speaker 1: made a pass of our planet in twenty thirteen, and
- 22:07Speaker 1: it will make another approach in twenty thirty five, So
- 22:10Speaker 1: this asteroid is playing a really good game of I'm
- 22:13Speaker 1: not todging you. It was first spotted by NASA's Near
- 22:17Speaker 1: Earth Object Observations Program, which uses observatories around the world
- 22:22Speaker 1: to detect undiscovered ineos, that's near Earth objects. It's being
- 22:28Speaker 1: tracked by the Virtual Telescope Project, which captured the potentially
- 22:32Speaker 1: hazardous asteroid on September ninth, traveling at around forty thousand
- 22:36Speaker 1: kilometers per hour. So it's it's gonna it's doing a flyby.
- 22:42Speaker 1: It's gonna wave at US as it goes by, So
- 22:44Speaker 1: I guess there's no actual danger attached to it, but
- 22:48Speaker 1: it still makes for a hell of a headline to
- 22:49Speaker 1: say there's a stadium sized asteroid heading towards the planet,
- 22:53Speaker 1: just not at it directly.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Anyway. I wonder this question and all seriousness of if
- 23:02Speaker 2: there was something headed directly towards us, would they tell us?
- 23:05Speaker 1: That's the same question I have every time I see
- 23:08Speaker 1: this headline. Oh, there's there's an asteroid. It's gonna be
- 23:10Speaker 1: flying buys, but there's no danger. It's just gonna keep
- 23:13Speaker 1: on going. It's not gonna hit us. It's just gonna
- 23:15Speaker 1: fly by. I'm with you. Every time I see that headline,
- 23:19Speaker 1: I wonder, are they lying to us? Is this the
- 23:21Speaker 1: one that's gonna kill us?
- 23:22Speaker 2: All?
- 23:22Speaker 1: They just know better than to tell us because this
- 23:25Speaker 1: way they say, yes, it's up there, you're gonna see it,
- 23:27Speaker 1: but there's nothing to worry about until you know it's
- 23:30Speaker 1: about a mile over your head and you realize, oh
- 23:32Speaker 1: my god, we're all gonna die. But then you don't
- 23:34Speaker 1: have any you can't do anything about it. I'm with you.
- 23:37Speaker 1: First thing I thought when I saw the headline was
- 23:39Speaker 1: if it was going to hit us and kill us all,
- 23:40Speaker 1: would they even tell us?
- 23:42Speaker 2: And would you? Would you want them to?
- 23:44Speaker 1: No? I think I'm fine without it, because.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I think the pandemonium would be far worse than you
- 23:51Speaker 2: know what I assume would be a fairly quick death.
- 23:55Speaker 2: M hm.
- 23:56Speaker 1: The only thing telling me about an asteroid that's going
- 24:00Speaker 1: to destroy the planet or at least where I live,
- 24:03Speaker 1: is going to afford me is to run down the
- 24:05Speaker 1: street or order on Amazon a foam finger that says
- 24:09Speaker 1: go asteroids, because I feel like we have run rough
- 24:14Speaker 1: shot over this planet for long enough. I'm on record
- 24:20Speaker 1: having said this many many times in disaster films. I
- 24:24Speaker 1: root for the disaster because most of us suck. Most
- 24:29Speaker 1: of us suck. We've proven that time and time again.
- 24:31Speaker 1: If you don't believe me, go read the comments section
- 24:33Speaker 1: of any social media platform.
- 24:37Speaker 2: There's no doubt I mean.
- 24:39Speaker 1: That are just we're dirty, We're smelly, we leave our
- 24:44Speaker 1: trash everywhere, We stink up the entire planet, and all
- 24:49Speaker 1: we do is fight and bicker with each other. We
- 24:51Speaker 1: can't get along for more than five minutes. We're a
- 24:55Speaker 1: destructive species. I'm surprised the planet hasn't flicked us off yet.
- 25:01Speaker 2: And I'm you know, I'm sure at a certain point
- 25:03Speaker 2: that there will be some COVID like event, far worse
- 25:07Speaker 2: that will call the herd as it were, and then
- 25:11Speaker 2: then us out because you're absolutely correct. We we don't
- 25:16Speaker 2: take care of this place where we're like like bad
- 25:19Speaker 2: hotel guests.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Yes, we're not getting our we're not getting our security
- 25:23Speaker 1: deposit back.
- 25:27Speaker 2: The mini bars, empty place, just trashed.
- 25:30Speaker 1: We're calling we're calling up room service, demanding more things
- 25:33Speaker 1: that are that are unrealistic.
- 25:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's what I mean. And look like I
- 25:37Speaker 1: say that partly in jest, but at the end of
- 25:40Speaker 1: the day, we are kind of a destructive species. We
- 25:42Speaker 1: kill each other all the time, either in small numbers
- 25:46Speaker 1: or great numbers.
- 25:47Speaker 6: Uh.
- 25:47Speaker 1: We really are dirty. We don't clean up after ourselves
- 25:50Speaker 1: very well. And our propensity for love is supposed to
- 25:53Speaker 1: be our salvation, but we really don't even do that
- 25:56Speaker 1: good anymore.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I'd love. I'd love to take you to
- 26:02Speaker 2: task on this and say, no, humans are are wonderful
- 26:05Speaker 2: species and they they Yeah, No, I can't.
- 26:09Speaker 1: You're you're a sober man. You see the world for
- 26:11Speaker 1: what it is. You're not looking through shot colored glasses.
- 26:15Speaker 2: No, it's a very very self centered world.
- 26:22Speaker 1: So that's why I would, Uh, I would cheer for
- 26:24Speaker 1: the asteroid. That's the only reason I'd want to know
- 26:26Speaker 1: ahead of time. Be like, yay, would I be sad?
- 26:30Speaker 3: Yes?
- 26:31Speaker 1: But man, you talk about going out in the blaze
- 26:34Speaker 1: of glory.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:36Speaker 1: But back to the serious question, do we really think
- 26:39Speaker 1: that they would tell us, they would tell us if
- 26:42Speaker 1: one was coming to get us. I think every single
- 26:45Speaker 1: film we were talking about films in a lot the
- 26:47Speaker 1: last couple of days. If every single disaster film has
- 26:51Speaker 1: taught me anything, it's that they should not tell us
- 26:54Speaker 1: of impending doom because we can't handle it. We go crazy.
- 27:00Speaker 2: You're absolutely, I mean it would absolutely be you know, chaos.
- 27:03Speaker 2: And the other problem with that is that every other
- 27:06Speaker 2: disaster film teaches you is and it's true. They can't
- 27:11Speaker 2: keep a secret so especially these days, so it would
- 27:16Speaker 2: eventually it would get out and there would be absolute
- 27:21Speaker 2: it would be.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Do you think do you think it would be worse
- 27:30Speaker 1: than what Hollywood has depicted when the planet finds out
- 27:33Speaker 1: it's on the brink of destruction? Or do you think
- 27:35Speaker 1: it would be about the same.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Oh, I think it'd be worse.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I think so too. I think Hollywood doesn't want to
- 27:45Speaker 1: put their foot on the accelerator too much in that regard.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I think they're afraid because to me, the closest thing,
- 27:51Speaker 1: and it's not a disaster film, but to me, the
- 27:53Speaker 1: closest representation of what the world would look like if
- 27:56Speaker 1: they told us the world was about the end. It
- 27:57Speaker 1: would be the purge.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you're you're you're not you're not off. I'm trying
- 28:07Speaker 2: to think of other disasterment, but yeah, it would be
- 28:09Speaker 2: absolute utter chaos like that. My only, my greatest hope
- 28:14Speaker 2: would be to somehow be able to get out of
- 28:17Speaker 2: Dallas quickly enough.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Where would you go.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Anywhere? But here?
- 28:26Speaker 1: You wanna you want to see if you can can
- 28:29Speaker 1: row your way to the islands with me, Like, if
- 28:31Speaker 1: you're gonna, if you're gonna go down, it might as
- 28:33Speaker 1: well be on a nice beach, right Yeah.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Uh no, I mean I would like go to Leonard.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Uh But because yeah, I think you're right. I think
- 28:44Speaker 2: it would be especially I mean, look what happened during COVID.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I mean we were hoarding toilet toilet paper, I mean.
- 28:51Speaker 1: And and that was that was that was for the
- 28:53Speaker 1: flu on steroids.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, if things absolutely with chaotic.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna go a bitch for a paper towel.
- 29:02Speaker 1: It sounds That's why I'm saying it's gonna look like
- 29:04Speaker 1: the purds. It's like, are you running off with my
- 29:05Speaker 1: toilet paper? I'm gonna cut your face off and wear
- 29:07Speaker 1: it for a few days.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Yeah, God forbid they take a twinkie?
- 29:11Speaker 1: Oh, how dare you? What would you tray if the
- 29:14Speaker 1: world was about to end and you knew it for
- 29:16Speaker 1: sure and you made it to the island with me?
- 29:19Speaker 1: Would you break your sobriety and go out drunk? Or
- 29:22Speaker 1: would would you go out sober?
- 29:24Speaker 2: I'd got sober?
- 29:28Speaker 1: Really? Why am I so fascinated by that answer?
- 29:36Speaker 2: I mean, I don't you know that's I say that now?
- 29:38Speaker 2: I mean in the moment, who knows?
- 29:40Speaker 1: But like if I'm Morpheus, not in blackface or anything,
- 29:44Speaker 1: but I've got I saw it. I'm so dressed, really cool,
- 29:47Speaker 1: and I've got, you know, two pills in front of me.
- 29:49Speaker 1: One's a placebo and and the other ones. You know,
- 29:52Speaker 1: the fun pill. You're gonna you're gonna go out. You
- 29:55Speaker 1: know you're gonna be feeling good. You're gonna you're gonna
- 29:58Speaker 1: take to feel good or the placebo? You want to
- 30:03Speaker 1: chase white rabbits with me?
- 30:06Speaker 3: All right?
- 30:06Speaker 2: Peer pressure?
- 30:08Speaker 4: Yeah, you're in the Treehouse visit us online at Treehouse
- 30:19Speaker 4: on Air dot com.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I just feel back to my wife and people ask,
- 30:22Speaker 1: what are those two guys doing. You're chasing buddies. Let's
- 30:31Speaker 1: get Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the Treehouse now for
- 30:34Speaker 1: any and all of your plumbing once and needs. Give
- 30:36Speaker 1: her a call two one four thirty six, eight thirty
- 30:38Speaker 1: eight thirty eight the website Brooks Plumbing, Texas dot com Jacqueline.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I know it varies depending on the situation and the
- 30:45Speaker 1: crisis at hand, but when someone calls you at Brooks Plumbing,
- 30:49Speaker 1: usually about how long is it before you were able
- 30:51Speaker 1: to get someone out to give them a hand?
- 30:53Speaker 6: This is my favorite question. So we're same or next
- 30:56Speaker 6: day at the latest. However, for most people, the real emergency,
- 31:02Speaker 6: in my opinion, is when there's water act not like
- 31:05Speaker 6: sewer water, but like clean potable water in the house,
- 31:09Speaker 6: leaking from up to down or from down to up,
- 31:12Speaker 6: if it's a slab, like pushing in, if it is
- 31:15Speaker 6: like a massive I mean, let's say it's even a
- 31:17Speaker 6: freeze break. I love for people to know where their
- 31:21Speaker 6: homeowner voalot boxes so they can shut the water on
- 31:24Speaker 6: and off by themselves. I always tell people go kick
- 31:28Speaker 6: around the mulch in your flower bed and see if
- 31:30Speaker 6: you have one. You're not guaranteed to have one, depending
- 31:32Speaker 6: on how old your house is. But go to home
- 31:34Speaker 6: depot and buy that eight to twelve dollars meter key
- 31:37Speaker 6: that takes the meter lid off. And I don't tell
- 31:41Speaker 6: anyone I told you to do it. But in an emergency,
- 31:43Speaker 6: shut the water off at the meter. Worst case scenario.
- 31:46Speaker 6: Hang up with me, and I'll tell you all the time.
- 31:49Speaker 6: Literally dull nine to one one. Ask for the fire department.
- 31:51Speaker 6: Say my house is flooding. Send the fire department turn
- 31:54Speaker 6: this crap off, and they'll get their way faster than
- 31:56Speaker 6: we are. And it's not that I don't want to
- 31:58Speaker 6: be the one to come turn off your water. I
- 31:59Speaker 6: don't want to make you wait an hour and a
- 32:01Speaker 6: half for me to send you somebody. If the fire
- 32:04Speaker 6: department has a station two streets over, and that's kind
- 32:07Speaker 6: of their job to.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Serve the public.
- 32:09Speaker 6: And so for me, water is like an emergent urgent issue.
- 32:13Speaker 6: Now sewer, if you're sewer's clogged, that's an emergent. That's
- 32:16Speaker 6: an issue. If you're a whole home stoppage we're gonna
- 32:18Speaker 6: come same day because we want you to stay in
- 32:21Speaker 6: your house. I can't necessarily guarantee a fixed same day
- 32:25Speaker 6: if there's a break true emergency service always stam or
- 32:29Speaker 6: next day. We we prioritize keeping people in their houses
- 32:32Speaker 6: is the easiest way to say it.
- 32:33Speaker 1: For those plumbing wants and obviously needs, you give Jacqueline
- 32:36Speaker 1: a call two one four three six eight thirty eight
- 32:39Speaker 1: thirty eight two one four three six eight thirty eight
- 32:41Speaker 1: thirty eight. And again that website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com.

- 33:34Speaker 1: mentioned that if the asteroid was going to kill us all,
- 33:37Speaker 1: if you would try to find a way through hell
- 33:39Speaker 1: or high water to come to the islands and hang
- 33:43Speaker 1: out with me for the end, you would And I
- 33:46Speaker 1: think I know how you can do it. Are you ready,
- 33:48Speaker 1: all right? Because if a thirteen year old can, I
- 33:53Speaker 1: think you can trade A brave thirteen year old girl
- 33:59Speaker 1: has been making wayes by paddling to school, paddling, surfing,
- 34:04Speaker 1: paddle boarding. She might be doing all three. She does
- 34:06Speaker 1: this every single day, even bracing herself against jellyfish stings
- 34:11Speaker 1: on her special journey. This, of course, hearkens back to
- 34:17Speaker 1: our parents talking about how they would walk to school
- 34:21Speaker 1: five miles uphill both ways and oh yeah, even though
- 34:26Speaker 1: it was Texas, and but what they still said it
- 34:29Speaker 1: This girl really actually is doing something for real every
- 34:33Speaker 1: single day, paddling across a bay in the ocean to
- 34:39Speaker 1: get to school. Her name is Elsie Berryman. She takes
- 34:43Speaker 1: to the water with her paddle board, cruising from hail
- 34:46Speaker 1: Across to Carbus Bay in Cornwall, England, battling the elements
- 34:50Speaker 1: as she goes. She rises before the sun to dive
- 34:54Speaker 1: in at six thirty in the morning, conquering the sea
- 34:57Speaker 1: for roughly one hour until she hits the Carbas Bay
- 35:01Speaker 1: around seven forty five. So not only is she thirteen
- 35:04Speaker 1: years old, she's paddleboarding to school, she's getting up before
- 35:08Speaker 1: the sun comes up, which is practically unheard of for
- 35:10Speaker 1: a teenager, and paddle boarding to school on a one hour,
- 35:16Speaker 1: fifteen minute commute. And involved in that is jellyfish stings.
- 35:20Speaker 2: And that's the Atlantic and it's cold as hell. Yeah,
- 35:24Speaker 2: oh hell, I mean, God bless her. But she is
- 35:34Speaker 2: a she is more dedicated to her studies than I was.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what homeschool mom. Oh yeah, I'll you
- 35:41Speaker 1: know what, instead of doing that, I'll just read Wikipedia
- 35:43Speaker 1: all day.
- 35:44Speaker 2: I mean, someone started gofund me and get that kid
- 35:47Speaker 2: a boat.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Yeah, jetski. I even saw one of these the other day.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I forgot what it was called. It's like a little
- 35:54Speaker 1: wave thing, so it looks like a cross between a
- 35:58Speaker 1: bathtub and a jets So it looks like a little
- 36:03Speaker 1: tub basically like a small bathtub with a steering wheel
- 36:08Speaker 1: that you sit in. It's like a go cart jet ski,
- 36:12Speaker 1: so you sit in it like a tiny boat, like
- 36:16Speaker 1: a go cart, and it goes on the water like
- 36:18Speaker 1: a jet ski, just tooling around every really fast. She
- 36:20Speaker 1: needs one of those. Yeah, and I want one of
- 36:24Speaker 1: those for fun let alone, you know, commuting The Gutsy
- 36:27Speaker 1: team uses the outdoor showers by the beach before she
- 36:30Speaker 1: changes clothing and heads off to class. Now it's not
- 36:33Speaker 1: just a ride on the waves. Elsie's doing it for
- 36:35Speaker 1: an incredible cause as well, to make money for her
- 36:38Speaker 1: beloved Hail Surf Life Saving Club. Committed to paddling a
- 36:44Speaker 1: mind blowing twenty miles across ten days. She's giving back
- 36:48Speaker 1: to the club that's been her second home since childhood,
- 36:51Speaker 1: offering training and safety around the perilous coastline. So not
- 36:54Speaker 1: only is she paddleboarding an hour and fifteen minutes to
- 36:56Speaker 1: school each day, she's doing it to raise money for
- 36:59Speaker 1: a good cause. So basically, at thirteen years old, she's
- 37:03Speaker 1: better than both of us.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Yes, that's seriously, someone started to go fund me, get
- 37:10Speaker 2: that kid a boat, at least a jetsy.
- 37:13Speaker 1: At least at least that Yeah. Smashing her fundraising goals,
- 37:16Speaker 1: Elsie's racked up a staggering two forty five pounds tray.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I'm not sure what the dollar is right now compared
- 37:22Speaker 1: to the pound, but she's not ready to hang up
- 37:25Speaker 1: her paddle board just yet, even with the jellyfish nipping
- 37:28Speaker 1: on her daily. Yeah. Her dad forty three, couldn't be
- 37:35Speaker 1: prouder of his paddle boarding prodigy and has been amazed
- 37:38Speaker 1: at the generosity they've received. He said, it's really surprised
- 37:40Speaker 1: us how generous people have been, the fact that she's
- 37:44Speaker 1: thirteen in doing this every day for two weeks. I
- 37:46Speaker 1: wouldn't do it once, and I've paddleboarded. I didn't even
- 37:52Speaker 1: make it to an hour. I made it like twenty minutes.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a lot of work. I mean I've powder
- 38:02Speaker 2: ordered around white Rock and that's exhausting.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Not only is that exhausting, but I mean she's got
- 38:08Speaker 1: jellyfish nipping at her heels. You got turns from Colin
- 38:11Speaker 1: County yipping at yours. Oh, and the dad even says
- 38:19Speaker 1: the conditions have been really bad, but she's not phased.
- 38:23Speaker 1: She takes to the water each morning, accompanied by at
- 38:26Speaker 1: least two or three club members who ensure her safety.
- 38:32Speaker 1: This really is an amazing thing, they said. The club
- 38:35Speaker 1: have so many dedicated people, and all her closest friends
- 38:38Speaker 1: are there too, supporting or watching her do this. It's
- 38:41Speaker 1: not been all smooth sailing. This week's seen some proper
- 38:44Speaker 1: choppy seas and the stinger jellyfish wreaking havoc. One of
- 38:49Speaker 1: her friends said, Elsie's been stung every day and other
- 38:52Speaker 1: members of the club have been stung a lot as well.
- 38:57Speaker 1: One scary encounter she had as she was pad she
- 39:01Speaker 1: brought her hang up and there was one in her hand,
- 39:04Speaker 1: a jellyfish. She brought up her hand and there was
- 39:06Speaker 1: a jellyfish on her hand, and they said it didn't
- 39:10Speaker 1: even bother her. She said she aims to finish her
- 39:13Speaker 1: paddling challenge next Friday, weather permitting.
- 39:17Speaker 2: So she's only a better person than us, she's tougher
- 39:19Speaker 2: than us too.
- 39:21Speaker 1: I just I think that the Navy Seals should just
- 39:24Speaker 1: go ahead and just send her an invite now, because
- 39:26Speaker 1: she's already going through hell week.
- 39:30Speaker 2: I hope, I hope that the story has made big news,
- 39:33Speaker 2: that she raises a ton of money.
- 39:36Speaker 1: If there's any one of us that should survive the
- 39:39Speaker 1: great asteroid that's supposed to sling bias today, I hope
- 39:43Speaker 1: it's Elsie on her paddleboard. I've never even been what.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Is it, tray sid start over with a good person.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Yeah, and if there's any justice in the world, take
- 39:55Speaker 1: out those jellyfish that are attached to her as well.
- 39:58Speaker 1: I've never even had a jellyfish sting. I've been near one,
- 40:01Speaker 1: but it wasn't like the stingy kind, not that you
- 40:03Speaker 1: reach out to, you know, to find out for yourself.
- 40:06Speaker 1: But I was told later I think i'd probably you know,
- 40:10Speaker 1: die crying.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I have never been stung by a jellyfish. I
- 40:14Speaker 2: have seen someone get stung by a jellyfish, and I.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Don't even like the Golden shower videos online, so I
- 40:22Speaker 1: definitely don't want to get stung by a jellyfish. And
- 40:24Speaker 1: those people are doing it for completely different reasons, and.
- 40:30Speaker 2: That doesn't even do any good. I think that's just
- 40:32Speaker 2: people getting their rocks off. But the person I saw
- 40:38Speaker 2: it looked like a It looked like a hot rope
- 40:44Speaker 2: had been wrapped around their leg.
- 40:47Speaker 1: God bless.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Yeah, no, just once I'm out of the water and
- 40:53Speaker 1: she's she's getting it daily. She's getting stung daily, and
- 40:56Speaker 1: she's like better than I us, tougher than us. Good
- 41:02Speaker 1: for her. I'm proud of her. Nothing nothing, she needs
- 41:06Speaker 1: our approval, but she's got You know, you're right. If
- 41:10Speaker 1: there is a maybe here, here's what I'll do in
- 41:12Speaker 1: the break. I'm gonna see if there's a fine. I'm
- 41:14Speaker 1: going to see if there's a way to donate to
- 41:15Speaker 1: the cause and we can send some money or at
- 41:18Speaker 1: least a you know, a back of piss to help her.

- 43:24Speaker 1: So we have to see their Treehouse road Show Shaker Tins, Arlington,
- 43:27Speaker 1: Friday September twenty seven to five to seven pm. One
- 43:32Speaker 1: last thing today before we head off into the sunset,
- 43:38Speaker 1: and that is was it last week or the week before?
- 43:43Speaker 1: I told you guys about how luxury brands are getting
- 43:47Speaker 1: into real estate?
- 43:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 43:49Speaker 1: Well, yeah, Well it turns out luxury brands are not
- 43:52Speaker 1: stopping at real estate. Luxury brands are also getting into
- 43:57Speaker 1: other arenas of goods. For example, Lamborghini has decided that
- 44:04Speaker 1: they are gonna do a baby stroller. That that do
- 44:12Speaker 1: anything for you, Trey, Lamborghini baby stroller or is that
- 44:17Speaker 1: just a reminder of what you could have had if
- 44:18Speaker 1: you didn't have that kid?
- 44:25Speaker 2: I'm well, I can't even fathom what Lamborghini baby stroller
- 44:30Speaker 2: is gonna cost.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Yeah, this this sounds like did you ever watch Friends? Yeah,
- 44:37Speaker 1: remember when Joey pretended to be a Porsche owner, went
- 44:40Speaker 1: and bottle the Porsche gear, so what looked like he
- 44:43Speaker 1: was a Porsche owner. This is what this sounds like
- 44:46Speaker 1: to me. It's like I can't afford the actual Lamborghini.
- 44:49Speaker 1: So I'm gonna get the hat, the gloves, the jacket,
- 44:51Speaker 1: even the baby stroller if I can, so I can
- 44:54Speaker 1: at least feel like I'm lambeaued out in some way.
- 44:59Speaker 1: But Lamborghini is releasing its very first baby stroller. They
- 45:03Speaker 1: partnered with a luxury stroller company in the United Kingdom.
- 45:07Speaker 1: It'll be available early next year. The website says it's
- 45:09Speaker 1: for parents and or babies who want to discover the
- 45:12Speaker 1: exhilarating fusion of luxury fabric and precision engineering. No word yet.
- 45:18Speaker 1: On't know how much it's going to cost, Sorry, Trey.
- 45:21Speaker 1: It definitely will not cost as much as an actual Lamborghini,
- 45:24Speaker 1: but probably going to cost in the thousands of dollars.
- 45:29Speaker 1: They say they're producing an extremely limited number of them,
- 45:32Speaker 1: so you should sign up and get in line if
- 45:35Speaker 1: you want one. They're billing it as the world's most
- 45:37Speaker 1: exclusive pushchair, so keep that in mind if you want
- 45:42Speaker 1: the world's most exclusive baby stroller. The Lamborghini ex Silver
- 45:48Speaker 1: Cross will be available early next year. I feel like
- 45:54Speaker 1: this infiltration of brands into our everyday lives is not
- 46:01Speaker 1: a great thing, but it is already somewhat of a reality.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Brands are already a part of our everyday lives. I
- 46:10Speaker 1: think at a certain point maybe we should just embrace
- 46:12Speaker 1: it the way Lamborghini is doing by putting out a
- 46:15Speaker 1: baby stroller and I've already got to pitch into Q
- 46:18Speaker 1: tips for Treehouse Q tips because we want you to
- 46:21Speaker 1: shove both deep into your ears. So I think that's
- 46:23Speaker 1: a natural partnership.
- 46:26Speaker 2: You know. I I don't have a kid, but I
- 46:29Speaker 2: all I can see is, you know, just cruising Daisy
- 46:33Speaker 2: down the street and a Lamba Lamba stroller.
- 46:37Speaker 1: That actually works, That really works, because Daisy your Chihuahua.
- 46:42Speaker 1: We know that if Lamborghini's gonna attract anything, is gonna
- 46:45Speaker 1: be hot bitches, set.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Of ears and that tongue just flat wind.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Look, it all makes sense. Brand's infiltrating every step of
- 47:00Speaker 1: our lives. You know, Lamborghini's doing a baby stroller the Treehouse.
- 47:03Speaker 1: We want to partner with Q tips to you know,
- 47:06Speaker 1: because the natural get into your ears type thing. So yeah,
- 47:11Speaker 1: I mean, if if Lamborghini's gonna do baby strollers, why
- 47:13Speaker 1: can't Planned Parenthood do bounce houses?
- 47:16Speaker 2: Yah?
- 47:20Speaker 1: What is it? Something I said? Just an idea?
- 47:37Speaker 2: Don't have to do it, merchandise.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Thanks for hanging out with us inside the tree House.
- 47:46Speaker 1: It's better than the Planned Parenthood Bogo. We appreciate it.
- 47:52Speaker 1: We will see you tomorrow.
