Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans welcome in to do wall daily presented by jing Jack.com and fueled by brass tax coffee right now.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: We're getting into the Jaguars and Brown's final injury report.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: We do have game status updates for every single player that has been on the injured list.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think overall some very encouraging stuff we're going to get into it.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: Also going to talk about the Jaguars punt return job since that has been a topic of hot conversation here this weekend.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen, I think, fueled the fire even a little bit more today unprompted really.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: when it comes to Travis Hunter.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: But we get it all that really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: You can also hit that hype button and you know, I can just really appreciate all the support really fired up for another season.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: Over the next couple days, we are going to have like a keys to victory show.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to have bold predictions.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm also going to drop my final prediction for where the Jack Wars end up this year.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: the entire AFC and NFC playoff picture and so that is what you can expect coming up over the next couple of days here as we lead up to kick off Jaguars taking on the Browns week one of the 2026 NFL season.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: 1pm at the bank, 4500 fans expected to be in attendance, and hopefully they will be rockists to welcome the Cleveland Browns in the town, but the Jaguars for their injury report you've got, Laquat Allen, who is dealing with a hip injury.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: It was reportedly soft tissue, but it's a hip injury, which could still be soft tissue, right?
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's been DNP Wednesday, limited Thursday, limited Friday.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: He is officially questionable for the game.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he will be a game time decision for the Jaguars.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: You also have Anton Harrison,
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: who did not participate in practice today, which was a little alarming after not having any sort of issue over the course of training camp.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then obviously this week leading up to this week one matchup where he's supposed to be matched up a lot with Jared Vers, Brown's talented edge rusher, not Miles Garrett, but Miles Garrett didn't have himself a very good game in Australia.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, you want to answer on here, it's not out there, obviously, a left tackle.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: He did not participate in practice day, but he has no game status, which to me is a clear indication that they're not concerned overall with this situation.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: You never know, maybe, but it feels like
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: No game status should probably be good to go for Anton Harrison unless there's like a potential roster move or something like that with IR coming up, which I think that something like that probably
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: probably would have already been reported.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I think you can look at Anton Harrison and say, this is probably going to be just fine.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: No big deal with Anton and he'll be ready to go against the Cleveland Browns, but obviously we'll be monitoring to see if any news does come out about that.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: Jacobi Myers, he's been dealing with a jammed finger.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's a thumb since the last
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: He was limited all week.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's been, you know, Liam Cohen has said, he's gonna be good to go since the very jump.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's been limited this week.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: He said he's good to go.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: Jacobi Myers will be playing.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: He does not have a game status.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: And then Cole Van Lannan, perhaps most intriguingly here, does not have a game status.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: Cole Van Lannan, Jaguars, starting left tackle last year, took the job,
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: Um, ran with it, got a contract extension, and then this year, the Jaguar decides to switch him over to the right side, while rehabbing from a knee injury that he suffered in week 18 against the Titans was not able to play against the bills, rehabbing rehabbing, rehabbing, rehabbing, got back about three weeks ago to the day, I think, to today.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: Um, got back into practice, was activated off the, uh, PUP, physically unable to perform list.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's been limited all week.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have been talking about that he'll be a game time decision, that they will get him out there Sunday morning, see how it's going, see how it's looking, see if he's ready to go.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: But Liam Cohen has said at the very least they would like to get him some reps.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: So, to me, the fact that there's no game status indicates that unless something changes over the next couple of days, Colvin and Lannon will be active.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now, there are possibilities here.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: It is possible that Colvin, Lannon, could be on the 53 right, he is on the 53, but could be one of the inactive's four game day.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna have some healthy scratches, right?
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: That is possible that they go that route if they're just not comfortable with how it's looking Sunday morning.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's also possible that he doesn't start
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: but that he gets some reps.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: They just kind of try to get him back into the game flow a little bit here in week one and then get him ready to go for week two.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's possible.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: Is it also possible that he just goes out there and starts?
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like it.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think,
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: Basically, the fact that he doesn't have a game status is a good thing, but it doesn't necessarily tell me anything that I didn't already know.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like Liam Cohen told us today that Cole VanLanan would still be a game time decision.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: Does this change that necessarily?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I don't think so.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know people are going to look at this, say Cole VanLanan doesn't have a game status.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: presume that he's probably in the starting lineup.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: And he may very well be, but he could also be a swing player.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: He could also be rotating in.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: He could also be a, you know, a scratch on game day.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like that is still all in the cards.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think all that stuff is still on the table.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: But overall,
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: Anton Harrison, you feel very good about here of the fact that he's going to be out there despite not practicing today.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: That was a little bit of a scare, not knowing what was going on, but looks like he should be good to go.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: Look, when Alan is questionable, Jacobi Meyer is good to go.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: Colvin Lane and no game status, but I still think there's a lot that could potentially happen with that on-game day.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: Um, as far as the Cleveland Browns go, um, we'll get into that as well.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll also get into the Punt Returner talk, uh, you know, topic of hot debate.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: So the Jack Wars, they're big favorites over at my book.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: You, but I've got them cover in the spread.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: highly encourage you to check out my bookies website.

- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: offensive lineman dealing with some things here.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Parker Brailsford, he is questionable.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's a backup center, a rookie.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a good player.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of like what the Browns have done in the draft the last couple years outside of what they've done at the quarterback position.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I could say that for, you know, most of their roster.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: I like most of their roster.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't know how good I feel about the quarterback position, right?
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: But Parker Brailsford wasn't going to start anyway.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Hill, he's a depth piece that's questionable.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: The big one here is Tevin Jenkins.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: They're starting right guard.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: He was limited on Wednesday, then did not practice Thursday or Friday with a back injury.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's officially out, which I think that is actually very big news.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: He was the one player in the Brown starting lineup on the offensive line that was actually
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: That was actually their last year.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody else was new.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Four new starters.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now you have five new starters for the Cleveland Browns, right?
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: On the offensive line.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: And look, all of them have talent.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not doubting that all of them have talent.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you have Spencer Fano for a strong pick.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a very promising young prospect.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: You have obviously you brought in Zion Johnson,
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: He, I think, is the most questionable of the starters outside of the rookie, right?
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: At left guard, Elton Jenkins has been a really good player for a very long time coming over from Green Bay, your starting center, Tevin Jenkins, again, not available.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: So now you have Austin Barber, the rookie third round pick out of Florida, who will be getting the start there at right guard.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: And so, um,
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's from Jacksonville.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's really interesting, right?
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: That he's going to be playing against the Jaguars in this game and actually starting his first career NFL game against his hometown team.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: He went to Trinity Christian.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a pretty cool and Austin Barber a player that I liked in the draft.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think that there is a lot of ups and downs on his tape, but the highs are like nasty.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I saw some of it in preseason as well.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like he had like a nasty stab and then went straight for the straight for the gosh, now I can't remember the maneuver.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Snaps trap, excuse me.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: He stabbed to Snaps trap.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's an aggressive player.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: very aggressive player.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be interesting to see how that works as a rookie in his first game, and then you have right tackle Titus Howard coming in as well for the Browns from Houston.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: All of these players have talent.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: You have two rookies, though, starting against a very experience and talented Jaguar's defensive front that will be deployed in a lot of different ways.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Anthony Campanile will do a lot to try to test the rules of this offensive line
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: how ready are they to go and how much chemistry and continuity is this brand new offensive line going to have any brand new offense for for the Cleveland Browns.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: And for for their head coach who is also their play caller.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: Really good play caller, but again Todd Munkin hasn't coached any of these guys before.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you had all offseason in training camp, but you've had some moving pieces now and
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: no longer there.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: At least not for this week I should say.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: So he's out.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Carson Swechinger has a shoulder injury, but he was a full participant in practice all three days of practice this week.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: He has no injury designation.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really, really good young player for them.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: and then Malik Collins, defensive tackle, good veteran presence, good past Russia from the interior.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's been dealing with a quad and was limited all week, but does not have a game status.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: So the only player that in the starting lineup for the Browns that looks like they'll be out is Tevin Jenkins,
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Questionable backup Parker Brails for it again liquid Alan for the Jaguar is questionable Anton Harrison no game status Jacobie Myers no game status Colvin landed no game status What that means for Colvin landed?
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still not really ready to write in stone or write in pen right But I will say this Parker Washington is the Jaguar starting punk return There have been some talk about that all off season because he's a guy that is one of the best most dynamic dangerous weapons as a punk returner in football all of football
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: But he also became the Jaguar's best wide receiver last year, and has looked like the Jaguar's best wide receiver all off season and training camp.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: And it seems like he might be getting a new deal before Sunday, we'll still have to wait and see, but Adam Shefter certainly seemed to think that new deal was incoming for Parker Washington before Sunday.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: But so some people had talked about like, you don't want Parker Washington returning punts because he's too valuable to the offense.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: I get that.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: But he can change the game more as a partner turner and one single play than he probably can as a wider receiver.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm all in favor of him returning punts and Liam Cohen confirmed he is the partner right now.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: He likes being back there.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: I like seeing him back there.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's exciting.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's a heck of a player.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: But even more interestingly.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen unprompted did bring up Travis Hunter potentially returning punts at some point.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: They said he'll probably get him back there at some point.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: Did not expect that.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: You saw him video I think from 1010 or somebody that
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, he was catching punts yesterday, but Travis Hunter potentially getting some return reps. Another one where I'm not against it, that guy's electric with the football in his hands.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: I absolutely think he's a type of player that could return punts for a touchdown.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars have a wealth of talent when it comes to the return game.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to see Parker Washington back there.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to see him on offense too.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: But that'll do it for this one.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: I still am not ready to say what the deal is with Colving Laneon because the Jaguars, as recently as, like, 10.30 a.m. this morning, we're saying that he's gonna be a game time decision.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Has that all of a sudden changed?
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: I really don't know, I still think it's possible that he could be technically like a healthy scratch.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: And again, even if he is active, doesn't mean he will necessarily be in the starting line.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: So I just want everybody to keep all these things in mind.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's a fluid situation.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: We'll keep an eye on it over the next couple of days.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: And we are less than 48 hours away from the Jaguar's kicking off.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: So very exciting times, really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: You can also hit that high button, y'all have a great one.
