- 1:00com. Thank you to Jackson Campbell
- 1:03and it's been a great one. And now we call this.
- 1:06Let's parlay. for Let's parlay. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:22we're waiting for Wes. He might pop in, he might not,
- 1:25but we do have Reno. Johnny, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:28it's very simple how we do this. He's going to give you his top
- 1:32three picks of the week and then he's going to give you his
- 1:35parlay. That is his extra pick that can
- 1:39set you up on a stroke. A long one or short one.
- 1:42More than likely a short one for Speedy.
- 1:45Are you guys ready? All right, Reno, give us your
- 1:49first pick of the night. What's up guys?
- 1:52I'm actually going to give you my favorite play.
- 1:56I'm a big UConn fan these last few years.
- 1:58I don't think there's another coach in college basketball
- 2:02that's at the same time hard to root for and hard to root
- 2:06against. Hurley's a fucking madman.
- 2:10I mean, he is an absolute. First off, should have been
- 2:12Tito. Love the energy.
- 2:14The way they came back in that game.
- 2:16They got dogs on that team. I think they also knew they lost
- 2:20that game. They were going to practice
- 2:21tonight. They didn't give a shit.
- 2:22The season was over that. All that being said, so much
- 2:27money's been coming. Are you and, and seemingly so, I
- 2:31mean deservingly so. They, they, they're going to get
- 2:33the public action. People are now kind of on this
- 2:36team. They think that out after Duke,
- 2:39this is a team to beat. Maybe Michigan on the other
- 2:41side. I don't think people get a lot
- 2:43of stock to Arizona. Gimme Illinois to win this game.
- 2:47I think a lot of money's come in and the line has actually moved
- 2:51Illinois, so the favorite by about 1 1/2 and they're getting
- 2:54a ton of money coming in on UConn and there's a lot
- 2:58everybody's talking about UConn, but Illinois is this little
- 3:01engine that could that they're a team that probably surprised a
- 3:03lot of people to start the year. They're in the Final Four.
- 3:06They want a top two seed in their conference and and their
- 3:09bracket. I think this team is kind of
- 3:11getting overlooked. I think Illinois now can compete
- 3:15with the size that UConn has. They can compete with the
- 3:19shooting that I think there are better shooters from the
- 3:21perimeter than UConn and they're going to compete with the pace.
- 3:25I think this is a team that right now I had a miracle shot
- 3:29that is going to be talked about for years.
- 3:32How do you bounce and come back in this game clear eyed?
- 3:35I just don't know. I will say I did listen to
- 3:38Hurley speak. I think it was yesterday or
- 3:40early this morning. I will say my money is going to
- 3:44be on them on Illinois to win this game.
- 3:47But after listening to Hurley, he almost made me call the book
- 3:50and and and switch my back. It's hard to bet against and I
- 3:54understand it, but for me, I think Illinois is undervalued in
- 4:00this spot. Give me Illinois to win the
- 4:02game. Get to the big game,
- 4:04championship game on Monday and that's where my money's going to
- 4:07be at. I will be on the money line.
- 4:09I think it's like minus 12025, something like that.
- 4:12But I'm going to take them to win the game and God help me,
- 4:15that's where I'm at. Give.
- 4:18Me your number 2. Yeah #2 is going to be kind of
- 4:21a, is it going to be a Big 10 championship game?
- 4:25Because that's where we're headed.
- 4:26And I look at the way Arizona's, I will say Arizona's probably
- 4:30had the stronger strength of schedule coming into the year.
- 4:33They, they, you know, they didn't shy against anybody.
- 4:35They're not conference was tough.
- 4:37They were one of the last undefeated teams in college
- 4:40basketball. I, I kind of think that
- 4:43Michigan's peaking at the right time.
- 4:45I'm not really sure if I'm sold on Arizona in this spot.
- 4:51Just hard to bet against. The way Michigan is playing
- 4:55basketball, they're they're not ruling close games, even in
- 4:58games that are a little bit within the number like Michigan
- 5:01is dominating those games. I think losing in the Big 10
- 5:04championship was probably the best thing to happen to them.
- 5:07They got that lost right before the tournament started and now
- 5:10they've been able to steamroll. I think this is going to be a
- 5:12close game. I'm going to take the money
- 5:14line. I do think it's an all Big 10
- 5:17championship game, which you know, statistically is probably
- 5:21not the smart money. But this where my money is going
- 5:23to be at. That's where I'm advising.
- 5:25You know y'all do what you want with your money, but my money is
- 5:27going to be on Michigan money line, Illinois money line.
- 5:31All right, give a shit number. 3 So we're going to hit a game
- 5:36that's about to start here in about another total minutes and
- 5:41that's going to be Creighton versus Rutgers in and the little
- 5:44known college basketball crown out in Las Vegas.
- 5:48We actually got action right now.
- 5:49We took Stanford in the early games to win that game.
- 5:52So I think we're gonna take the points here.
- 5:54We're gonna lay with Creighton. Their coach is gonna, they're
- 5:58gonna be under new coach next year.
- 6:00I just look at what is going to be in this game and I'm more
- 6:04sold on what Creighton's going to have to offer.
- 6:06So I think Creighton is going to win this game.
- 6:09They're going to win by the margin.
- 6:12College basketball crown is really about money because these
- 6:14guys are both under 500. So it's going it's going to be
- 6:17probably an ugly game, but I'm going to take Creighton.
- 6:20My last name, my last pick, I guess you could say is going to
- 6:26be a future, but I would take Illinois to win the championship
- 6:31right now. You're probably going to get
- 6:33about 500 or 600 + 500 or 600 because I think Michigan right
- 6:38now is the overwhelming favorite and and Yukons you probably the
- 6:43second favorite, Arizona third. Illinois is probably 4.
- 6:46So you're going to get the most value with with Illinois to win
- 6:48the game. So I think that's my final play
- 6:51at about 500 is probably what it is.
- 6:54Take Illinois to win the championship.
- 6:57They're in a kind of a spot where nobody's talking about it.
- 7:00Everybody's talking about UConn, the incredible shot and and
- 7:03hurling every time in Arizona, every time I'm Michigan and you
- 7:06forget about Illinois. That's just kind of 1 all year
- 7:08and kind of stayed on the radar. So for me, that's the best value
- 7:11bank for your bug. Give me Illinois to win the
- 7:13championship here in 2026, which is kind of what I thought all.
- 7:19Right, so it looks like W couldn't make it, but he did
- 7:21send over some pics. So all Final four picks.
- 7:25So in the women's Final Four, he actually had South Carolina
- 7:28covering the plus seven against the undefeated UConn team.
- 7:31He's got Texas covering the -2 1/2 as a favorite against UCLA.
- 7:35And Johnny, he, you and him agreed too much during football
- 7:38season. He has to disagree with you
- 7:39both. This time around, he's got UConn
- 7:41plus 1 1/2 and Arizona. On the money line.
- 7:45Yeah, I want to say everybody in the So I prefer to be the man on
- 7:51an island because Vegas wasn't made with a bunch of winners.
- 7:55So I like where I'm at with Illinois, but I understand why
- 7:58people will not be able to pull the trigger.
- 8:01It's going to be a great freaking ball game.
- 8:04But yeah, I mean, the rest, the rest got got in trouble for the
- 8:10whole UConn thing. That was surprising to me.
- 8:13He got pretty much head butted and didn't call.
- 8:15Technical props to him, though, He knew the moment.
- 8:18He knew the moment you could not do it.
- 8:20But I did give me a great freaking ball game.
- 8:22Like, give me Illinois. Well, we love you and Reno
- 8:28Johnny, keep up the good work and we'll talk to you next week.
- 8:31You're you're doing great on money line mania.
- 8:33All you guys, you guys are over 85% right now.
- 8:36You guys are kicking ass. You guys, you.
- 8:39Guys taking hey Johnny, I know you it sounds like you got some
- 8:41stuff going back there, but if you want, we're playing the NCAA
- 8:45trivia game next segment if you want to just stick around for I.
- 8:48Don't care, AA, AA basketball. I may, I may not do well, but
- 8:52I'll, I'll try. All right, let's, let's bring
- 8:55Johnny in on this one. Let's roll it.
- 8:57All right, we call this King of the Hill.
- 9:00And here's the king of the hill. This, Bobby, is the Beltline.
- 9:05You never, ever hit below that. Not that kind of king of the
- 9:08hill, you dumb. This is King of the Hill.
- 9:13I don't care. Let's not.
- 9:16All right, guys, it's been a while.
- 9:18Welcome back to King of the Hill.
- 9:20This is the everyone's least fair trivia game because the
- 9:24king is in charge and he makes the rules.
- 9:26The king is King Errol. He's defended his crown many
- 9:29times. Everyone will compete in three
- 9:32different rounds in order to get a chance to face off against the
- 9:37king. Here is the first round.
- 9:38Of the. World for all the competitors,
- 9:40it's the peasant fight. Who are the best coaches in NCAA
- 9:47Tournament history? The way this goes, I will be up
- 9:52here just kind of orchestrating. We have Johnny Q in Speedy.
- 9:56The order will start with Speedy, he will name one, give a
- 10:00reason, then Q will go, then Johnny you'll go for two and
- 10:04will snake back the other way. As soon as everyone gets their
- 10:07three done, Errol will decide who will move on to the joust to
- 10:13face off in a different question for a chance to face off in the
- 10:16third round to the throne. Errol, are you guys ready to
- 10:19play king of the hill? Random sexual.
- 10:24Yes, yes, we're ready. All right, so again, this is the
- 10:31best coaches in NCAA history. So speedy start us off.
- 10:37Well, I'll just steal the obvious one.
- 10:39First. I'll take John Wooden.
- 10:40Obviously the UCLA sixties 70s dynasty is still being
- 10:45duplicated and failed by many different occasions.
- 10:47This is the pre obviously big money.
- 10:49I mean there might have been money under the table, we'll
- 10:50never know. But NIL era that we're dealing
- 10:52with now where? You get all these big.
- 10:54Freshman prospects obviously doing it a lot more with the
- 10:57homegrown talent on some of the mentorship that he brought to
- 10:59those kids as well. That all soccer.
- 11:02With those quotes are still being resurrected today and
- 11:04obviously all those championships all.
- 11:11Right. I'm gonna go with the home team,
- 11:14go with Dean Smith. 2 national championships, 879 wins go.
- 11:19Check your luggage. Basketball player ever to bounce
- 11:23a basketball so revolution of the game gave the guys I think
- 11:28they say something about he got like shot cock and floor.
- 11:30I look delicious. You know, he put the implement
- 11:32that into the game. So I would say his innovation,
- 11:37the way he, you know, coached, the way he changed the game,
- 11:40impacted the game. I'm going with Gene Smith for
- 11:44the King. How about Ron Walker?
- 11:47Johnny Reno for two. Yeah, I'm going to.
- 11:50So I'll go back. I'll snake it here.
- 11:51I'm going to take the current guy, Danny.
- 11:54Danny Hurley. I mean, the guy's been a four
- 11:56straight final four. He's got 2 championships, a
- 11:58chance to win the third championship.
- 12:01You know, the program as a whole, Uconn's been great.
- 12:03They got eight final fours total when they like 6 championships
- 12:06and when they get there, they kind of do really well for me.
- 12:10Danny Hurley's just been the current guy and it's hard to go
- 12:14against what he's doing. And Nils opened up where?
- 12:17Everybody can kind of be. Equal So for me, he's he's kind
- 12:20of he's not just battling like recruiting every year.
- 12:22He's got to recruit the same guys every year.
- 12:25That's hard to do. You know, used to have to
- 12:27recruit a guy one time. Now you got to recruit a guy
- 12:29after his freshman year software.
- 12:31You gotta be with a key player. So for me, it's going to be
- 12:33Hurley. He's got a chance to win three
- 12:34and four years, which is in today's era hasn't been done
- 12:38since the, you know, those wooden areas in the 60s and 70s.
- 12:41So for me it's Hurley and then I'm going to go Rick Pitino.
- 12:44I think Rick Pitino was an Amal weight.
- 12:47I get 2 right? Like snakes?
- 12:51Back and forth. I go Rick Pitino because he's
- 12:56got, he's taken what, three teams to the Final Four?
- 12:58He had a chance to do it again this year with Saint John's.
- 13:01He has 2 championships and two different programs and the
- 13:04rivals of Kentucky in Louisville.
- 13:06So for me, he just kind of gets there and wins.
- 13:09He took Iona to the tournament, they won a couple games.
- 13:12He took Saint John's this year. They had a really deep run.
- 13:15Probably should have beat Duke. They were up late For me.
- 13:19I think Rick Pitino, everywhere he goes, he just breeds winters.
- 13:23So I'm going to take him. All right, back to cute.
- 13:27I'm going to stay in the Triangle state.
- 13:29I hate to say it, but I'm going to go with Coach K on this one.
- 13:33I think he has five national championships.
- 13:36Was very consistent in winning the way he did different things.
- 13:39I don't want to want to say too much about who you know about
- 13:42him, but got to tear my hat to him.
- 13:45I think he coached and won in a lot of different eras, which
- 13:49made his greatness even better. So I'm going to go with.
- 13:52Coach is really structured. All right, Speedy for two.
- 13:57All right, I'll go with I'll go with an old school one.
- 13:58I have a have a Bobby Knight, Bobby Knight obviously
- 14:00orchestrating all those undefeated seasons and an
- 14:02Indiana team again, same similar era kind of right after John
- 14:05Warden. There wasn't as much as the
- 14:07state of basketball and an undefeated season that I know
- 14:11Kentucky tried to duplicate, Gonzaga tried to duplicate in
- 14:132021 and it just all all falls short and just a hard thing to
- 14:16do. And I think doing it for as long
- 14:18as he did, even after Indiana too, having a lot of success,
- 14:21didn't win a national championship, but after those
- 14:23two championships in in Indiana, still being a great coach for a
- 14:26very long time. So he's my number 2 and I'll
- 14:29finish it off with the guy that started the UConn Raw, Jim
- 14:33Calhoun, and he won three titles over the span of a 99-O four in
- 14:372011 with many different players doing in the Big East, which at
- 14:40that time was a gauntlet, still is in certain years now.
- 14:43Back then, when you had a lot of really good teams in there all
- 14:47at once, that was as good of a gauntlet as you can get and they
- 14:50were a dominant tournament runs as you can get.
- 14:52It doesn't matter. What it is love Calhoun.
- 14:56Cute coach and all. Rob from Kentucky won four
- 15:01national championships and and it kind of proud of the
- 15:05evolution of the Kentucky Wildcats.
- 15:07I'm gonna go with him. Very old school, very tradition.
- 15:11Yeah. So I'm gonna rock out with him.
- 15:12I don't think nobody can beat my three right now.
- 15:15And finish it up, Johnny. Reno.
- 15:18I'm going to go with Tom Izzo. I think he only has one title,
- 15:23but he's got eight Final Fours, right?
- 15:25So we're talking about tournament consistency.
- 15:28His team is consistently going deep, Eight Final Fours, one
- 15:31title. He's he's nicknamed Mr. March.
- 15:34I think there's it's hard to count him out.
- 15:36I wish there was maybe another title there.
- 15:39But I think at Michigan State he kind of made Michigan State
- 15:42basketball what it is, what's what is known as today.
- 15:45So I'm going to take Tom Mizzo was one title eight final force.
- 15:49All right, Errol, that is everyone's choice.
- 15:52Who are the two moving on to the next round?
- 15:55I like all of them. I mean, they're all great
- 15:57coaches, but you know, Speedy's always here.
- 15:59So I'm going to take Reno, Johnny and I'm going to take
- 16:01Copes. All right, Speedy, pop out.
- 16:05Johnny, we're going to bring you into Round 2, the joust.
- 16:10Oh, man, the points are doubled. Not really, but it's the next
- 16:14round. Then the next question.
- 16:16Oh, wait, that's actually not the right one.
- 16:18We need to go back to the second one.
- 16:19How did I go to Round 3 before 2?
- 16:22That must have been a mistake. Let it roll.
- 16:24Here's Round 2, the joust. The most important players in
- 16:30the Final Four. I want you to talk to me about
- 16:33the guys on these two teams. I'm sorry, these four teams in
- 16:39these two games, who are the biggest and most important
- 16:43players for the Final Four this weekend?
- 16:48All right, let's get back to the view right here.
- 16:52And here it is. Let's go.
- 16:53And this one will just alternate.
- 16:55Johnny, then Q, then back to Johnny.
- 16:57Johnny, start us off. The amount, yeah, I'm going to
- 17:05take the and I again, I'm going on Illinois to win the game.
- 17:09But I think for Yukon, it's going to be the white boy and
- 17:14his name is Sipham. I'm telling you, I have to.
- 17:16I know who I'm talking about, but what's that?
- 17:20Damn. What's that big white boy?
- 17:21Little white boy. Not a big white boy.
- 17:26Caravan. Caravan, yeah, that's it.
- 17:28Caravan. He had a terrible game last time
- 17:31out and I know that because I took his over point total, which
- 17:34he did not get close to. And that was a big part of the
- 17:38reason why Duke was kind of running away.
- 17:40He did not have a good second-half.
- 17:41I think he had about 10 points that kind of evened out on his
- 17:44season average before UConn. To have success, it's got to go
- 17:49through him. He's got to be able to be a
- 17:51force on rebounds and Illinois does have size, so he's got to
- 17:55be. And what I think scares me for
- 17:57you, Ucon, is the reason why he struggled was because Duke had
- 18:01sized to shut him down. So I think if he cannot overcome
- 18:04that against you, Illinois, he's going to struggle.
- 18:08Cute. I'm going Reese UConn.
- 18:11I think everything lives and die with him.
- 18:15Obviously him being a strong rebounder will impact the game
- 18:19tremendously. I think he's a great talent with
- 18:21scoring, so I don't think you have an issue with that, but I
- 18:23think it's going to impact the game a lot.
- 18:26If he can grab a lot of boards in this city, come out with a
- 18:28double double probably like anywhere between 11:00 and 12:00
- 18:31rebounds and 20 plus points. I think it seals the deal for
- 18:35you guys, Johnny. I'm going to go with Michigan's
- 18:39big man Yaxel Landenberg. I think one thing about him,
- 18:43he's got a lot of motivation. I think one thing, when he was
- 18:46at UAB, he really expected to play for Alabama.
- 18:50He really expected Alabama to go get him.
- 18:52He was very surprised at Michigan came and got him and
- 18:55he's very motivated to play for Dusty May.
- 18:57So I think he's going to be a big force.
- 18:59I think there's a reason why Michigan's playing as well as
- 19:02they have been. They've been going through him.
- 19:04He's got, he's not near double, he's not at the double double,
- 19:08but he's got 15, 3.7 rebounds, 4 assists a game.
- 19:10I think he's the key to Michigan.
- 19:12They will continue to go through him.
- 19:14I think he's the big reason they win this game and get to the
- 19:17national championship. Q.
- 19:20We'll go with Arizona, Braden Birds.
- 19:22I think he's going to maintain control of the game, get to the
- 19:26spots, get his shots up, keep the pressure on him and I think
- 19:31keep the pressure on Michigan and I think he would be the
- 19:33determine the fact that them coming out with a win versus
- 19:35Michigan. All right, back to Johnny.
- 19:37I'm. Going to go with Illinois guard
- 19:39Waggler who who broke out in his last game.
- 19:42This is a guy who shoots 40% from three.
- 19:44And like I said, the big discrepancy, I think it was a
- 19:47better shooting team. So if Waggler can keep that
- 19:50consistent pace, shoot 40%, control the game.
- 19:53He does average 17 points a game.
- 19:56He's got 4 assists to go with that.
- 19:58I think he has to have control of this game.
- 20:01If they can slow down, because they do have a couple guys in
- 20:04Merkovich that can kind of slow squeeze the teeth, and if they
- 20:08can get outside and make those shots running through Wagler, I
- 20:11think Illinois is going to be a poised position to win this game
- 20:14and win the national title. But it's all going to go.
- 20:16Make her squirt. Make me jerk.
- 20:19And finish it off cute. Sleeper.
- 20:22I don't know. Morez Johnson, Junior.
- 20:25I think it for Michigan, I think he can really be the one that
- 20:29determine whether or not Michigan come out.
- 20:32He's a big body, he's a big present.
- 20:34He get on the boys and kind of take away those second chances
- 20:38opportunity from Arizona. I think he wins they they end up
- 20:41making a close guy. Still got Arizona to win the
- 20:43game, but can definitely change the impact that that that
- 20:47outcome based off how he performed on the boys.
- 20:50All right, you heard it, Errol, Who's going on to take on the
- 20:54king? They're both really good, but I
- 20:57think Reno Johnny, I mean his, his three were great.
- 21:00So I'm going to go with Reno, Johnny.
- 21:02All right, so Johnny, you get to move up to the finale, but that
- 21:06means Q and Speedy, you come back in and you're going to join
- 21:10me here on the bottom where we are going to be the voters in
- 21:14what becomes now a democratic election.
- 21:17On this last question, Yep, just turn it up on its head.
- 21:21Where you get the take on the King.
- 21:23The best games in this year's tournament so far.
- 21:29Tell me about your experience watching the first.
- 21:34You know, I guess 60 teams get eliminated along the way.
- 21:38Tell me your favorite games. What were the best games in the
- 21:422026? Torney started off with the
- 21:48King, Mr. Errol Marx. I'm going to go with the Elite 8
- 21:54UConn versus Duke, the Braille and Mullins shots.
- 21:58I mean, heard around the world the shot that completely shocked
- 22:02the world you saw. Shire has a meme out all over
- 22:06social medias right now. It's going to be very, very
- 22:08popular for the rest of the year.
- 22:10It might be popular enough by the end of next year when he
- 22:13gets fired because that will be his face when he gets shockingly
- 22:16fired by the Blue Devils. But the Elite 8, UConn knocking
- 22:20off Duke 73 ready to was the one that stood out to me.
- 22:25All right, Johnny. So I can't use the same game as
- 22:28hard to to go second when that game has happened.
- 22:33But I'm going to take a game that was round of 32.
- 22:38I'm going to take Texas win against Gonzaga.
- 22:41That was a a game where Texas came in clearly 6 1/2 point, 7
- 22:46point underdogs. I was in Vegas for that game.
- 22:49I very heavy Gonzaga money all over the place except for me and
- 22:54a couple of my boys there. We, we all had Texas money.
- 22:57That game to me was was one of the better games of the
- 23:00tournament. It was an underdog.
- 23:02You know, Texas had kind of a good Cinderella run for a big
- 23:05program that they are and they start in the first four.
- 23:08That Gonzaga win his underdogs. It really showed out close game
- 23:12in the big corner shot to go up five with about 10 seconds to go
- 23:16to seal the deal. So that game to me was one of
- 23:19the better games of the tournament.
- 23:21Errol. First round high point, knocking
- 23:24off Wisconsin 7675, that stood out to me and by the way, gave
- 23:29Mike Lemare a new job who's now the head coach of Syracuse, open
- 23:34up many opportunities for him. I mean, it shocked.
- 23:37Wisconsin was one of the best teams all season long for the
- 23:40NCAA. Lot of people thought was going
- 23:42good. You make faces, but a lot of
- 23:44people thought they were going to the Sweet 16.
- 23:47They're a good shooting team. A lot of people shocked at High
- 23:49Point, knocked them off 7675. So I would go high Point in the
- 23:53first round all. Right.
- 23:56The only reason I make, the only reason I make faces because as a
- 23:58small school, better High points been a money maker for me this
- 24:02year and a lot of people just don't know about high Point.
- 24:05They probably should have been favored in that game.
- 24:07The other game for me that was one of the better games of the
- 24:10tournament was Saint John's versus Kansas.
- 24:13It was a game where Saint John's seemingly had the game in hand.
- 24:16I think there were 15 or so with about 6 minutes to go.
- 24:20I was in Vegas, I'm at the pool, the drinks are flowing.
- 24:23I stopped watching the game because I didn't care.
- 24:25My my, my ticket was cashed until I was like putting in
- 24:29another bet. And I realized that we can live
- 24:31bet Saint Johns and Kansas, and they're tied.
- 24:34With a minute to go, the drinks started flowing a little bit
- 24:37less smooth. All right, So I got up off my
- 24:39ass and went to the TV screen until the game was over.
- 24:41One of the better games. It was a buzzer beater.
- 24:44There was no time left when that shot went in.
- 24:47So that to me was one of the better games of the tournament.
- 24:50It was 2 high point powerhouses going against each other for a
- 24:55chance to advance, and it did not disappoint. 2.1 for St.
- 24:59John's all right last round, Errol.
- 25:01I'm I'm going VCU knocking off North Carolina that send Hubert
- 25:05Davis packing. Ladies and gentlemen, the
- 25:08shocking smile that everybody made for all you Tar Heel fans,
- 25:13especially the one in Quinton couples.
- 25:15He should be smiling because Hubert Davis is not going to be
- 25:17the coach next year. So you don't have to see bad
- 25:19basketball again. We'll see who's going to be the
- 25:22one being landing landing that job.
- 25:24But I'm going to go VCU. Shocking North Carolina all.
- 25:29Right, right. And Johnny last one of the show.
- 25:32Could go to here, could go. There's two games here that I
- 25:34could go with, but I'm going to go with the one that actually
- 25:37won the game, which is going to be Iowa.
- 25:39This Florida defending national champions coming in.
- 25:43How do you let him just slip by? You take the open 3 pointer to
- 25:48win with about .8 seconds to go in the game, knocking off the
- 25:52defending champions, a team that I would like.
- 25:55No, I don't think a lot of people gave them a much of a
- 25:57chance to advance, especially in that bracket.
- 25:59So for me that was one of the more crushing that was a the
- 26:03first bracket Buster probably over the, you know, going with
- 26:08the 9 knock. Knock.
- 26:09I think a lot of people thought Florida, including me, thought
- 26:12they were going to get eliminated early in the
- 26:14tournaments. I I didn't like Florida this
- 26:16year. Against Iowa.
- 26:19Yeah, I didn't think. No, I think show me the bracket.
- 26:21I did I have him. Getting eliminated his bracket
- 26:25is done. In the Vanderbilt, I had him
- 26:28losing against Vanderbilt. I had a losing against
- 26:32Vanderbilt. I was a It was not the team to
- 26:34do it, but yeah, I understand. Dude, your brackets going to be
- 26:38done tomorrow. So I mean, Arizona is getting
- 26:41knocked out by Michigan, so it doesn't.
- 26:43Matter. It doesn't.
- 26:44Matter. It doesn't matter.
- 26:46Let's let's ramp up this segment and let's do our voting.
- 26:49So I I wrote him down. Errol took the Duke Yukon Elite
- 26:5288 game, High Point Wisconsin and VCUUNC getting Herb Hubert
- 26:58Davis fired. Johnny has the Texas Gonzaga
- 27:01second round game, the Saint John's Kansas second round game
- 27:05and the Iowa Florida upset. I'm going with Errol on this
- 27:11one. I think that I would give the
- 27:15second game to Johnny. The St.
- 27:16John's Kansas game was excellent, but also I think the
- 27:20high point game was really good. And Hubert Davis getting fired
- 27:23is a pretty big moment in college basketball.
- 27:26And I that Iowa game Florida were a bunch of frauds.
- 27:30I would say that's awash and nothing is better and that Duke
- 27:34UConn game. So I just think, you know, it's
- 27:36just hard to beat that one. I'm going to give the nod is a
- 27:39close one, but I'm going to give it to Errol.
- 27:41Q. How are you voting?
- 27:42I'm going with Johnny. I think that Errol has good
- 27:46picks, but as far as performance wise, I thought he, I thought he
- 27:49was a little complacent. I felt like he felt like he had
- 27:52already beat Johnny before he beat him.
- 27:54I don't think he put a lot of effort into actually beating
- 27:56Johnny throughout this. So and then he also chose.
- 27:59Joppa junior over here. Another thing, so he took a
- 28:02shot. I think Johnny was doing a great
- 28:04job at spending the third game and then Earl interrupted him,
- 28:08which shows that he felt like he was already just get.
- 28:10The hell out. He want to go with Johnny.
- 28:18All right, it's tight in one speedy.
- 28:19You're the tight well. There was a very good battle.
- 28:22It's as close as it gets, but but high Points does not have a
- 28:25head coach named Jerry McNamara. That was Sienna and that's how
- 28:28we end up getting the hire by the Seers.
- 28:30I was. I'm going to take Johnny in that
- 28:32one. We have a new king in town and
- 28:35his name is Johnny Reno. Congrats Johnny, you are king.
- 28:41Of the hell. That's why you're new
- 28:44Washington, Dr. Johnny. You did it, man.
- 28:47Do you have any any first words for your nomination?
- 28:51So I thank Jesus. Do I get fired?
- 28:56Do I get cancelled? Possibly, but you're gonna be
- 29:01all right. That that would be the thing
- 29:03that gets this. Trouble out of the whole show.
- 29:08I, I really knew that Speedy wasn't going to pick me anyways
- 29:10and I definitely knew Quinton wasn't going with me anyways.
- 29:13So Speedy has this love fest for Reno Johnny.
- 29:16He. Just knew her.
- 29:17I know, I know, I know, started off.
- 29:19With a merit for Johnny. Yeah, he has a love fest for
- 29:24Reno. Johnny, trust me, you don't know
- 29:29he'll wipe his ass. That's probably one person.
- 29:31Look, any ideas? Joba smack my ass no.
- 29:35I reckon if Joba do it either anyways.
- 29:38Reno. Thank you, that was fun.
- 29:39I'll be back next week to defend the Crown, I guess.
- 29:42Hey, talk that talk, Johnny. Blowjob.
- 29:48All right. Bye bye Reno.
- 29:52Later, guys. All right, we call this Dial it
- 29:56up. We interrupt this regularly
- 29:58scheduled. Hot mix to bring you important
- 30:00news. We got a.
- 30:01Big broadcast to do here. We're about to dial it all it
- 30:06up. Make her squirt.
- 30:07Make me jerk. Welcome back to Time Up,
- 30:12everyone's favorite Lightning. Rats for.
- 30:14Segments we're going to get into a bunch of stories.
- 30:17Errol has no idea what they are. He's going to dial up a take and
- 30:20one of us is going to respond to him.
- 30:22Are you guys ready for yet another edition of Dial It?
- 30:27Here it is first story, Errol. This one had me scratching my
- 30:32head because not at one point in time when I was watching Amari
- 30:35Stoudemire that I go, oh, that's a Hall of Famer that's on on the
- 30:39Knicks alongside Carmelo Anthony.
- 30:41No, I never thought that. And Doc Rivers also gets put
- 30:47into the Basketball Hall of Fame alongside WNBA players Elena
- 30:53Della Dunn and Candace Parker. Those two I don't think anyone's
- 30:58arguing about need to deserve to get in.
- 31:01Amari, on the other hand, is not the guy that I thought would be
- 31:06put in. I didn't hear a lot of people
- 31:08clamoring for Amari to get into the Hall of Fame, and Doc has
- 31:13the eighth most wins in basketball history.
- 31:17Errol, dial it up. The NBA, everybody gets into the
- 31:23Hall of Fame. Every single one of these guys
- 31:25are in the Hall of Fame. You name I, I, I look at some of
- 31:29these guys are getting inducted into Hall of Fame.
- 31:32They shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame.
- 31:33Amar Stoudemire, you can question, I mean his he had five
- 31:38really good years. Hall of Fame, No, Doc Rivers won
- 31:421 championship, won championship with the Celtics.
- 31:45And honestly, the guy that was running the defense was Tom
- 31:48Thibodeau, He had Kevin Garnett, he had Rajon Rondo, he had Ray
- 31:54Allen, he had Paul Pierce. Anybody could have coached that
- 31:57team and won a championship. So believe it or not, I don't
- 32:01think Doc Rivers is a Hall of Fame head coach, but either is
- 32:05Stottlemyer. I, I don't think any of those
- 32:07guys should be in the Hall of Fame.
- 32:08I think the NBA is, it's the easiest to get into the Hall of
- 32:11Fame out of any other sport. The NFL is almost impossible.
- 32:16We see guys sitting that should be in the Hall of Fame 15 years
- 32:19ago. The MLB, it's up and down.
- 32:21Usually you don't get into Hall of Fame.
- 32:23Roger Clemens is not in the Hall of Fame.
- 32:26Alex Rodriguez is in the Hall of Fame.
- 32:27Barry Bonds is not in the Hall of Fame.
- 32:29I don't care what they did. They're Hall of Famers and in
- 32:31the NHL it it's not easy getting to the Hall of Fame.
- 32:35It took Pierre Tarjan almost 20 years to get into the Hall of
- 32:38Fame. So basketball, for some reason
- 32:40everybody gets into the Hall of Fame, so I'm not surprised.
- 32:46Yeah, I think, well, congratulations to both guys.
- 32:50Personally, I think you're you, you.
- 32:52The Marvis Dynamite was probably one of the top power forwards in
- 32:56his era overall, if you if you want to be, you know, frank
- 33:01about it, I think he was arguably in one of the most
- 33:04talented and big manpower for era.
- 33:07And so I think rightfully so, I think he deserved to be in
- 33:10there. I know he has some down years
- 33:11with the Knicks and that's probably what you basing his
- 33:14career off of, but I think overall him and Steve Nash did
- 33:18with the pick and roll that was was huge.
- 33:20And Phoenix. And I think that it's yeah, very
- 33:24well deserved from Amari Stoudemire, Doc Rivers, you
- 33:27know, as he won the 2008 Celtics, won one of the greatest
- 33:34and hardest championship run that we've seen in in modern
- 33:39history. But I think he's been good doing
- 33:42well as well. I think he's struggled on the
- 33:44back end when he got to Milwaukee in the books and you
- 33:48know, this new era of of young guys and things, it's difficult
- 33:52for him to kind of coach his style.
- 33:54A lot of people don't think he can really coach, but somehow or
- 33:57another he's still top 10 to win.
- 33:59So you don't just get there by looks.
- 34:01I look at Amari, I'm looking at his stat sheet over here.
- 34:05He was rookie of the year, right straight out of high school.
- 34:09He had with the Sons. He had what, Yeah, the one year
- 34:13he had the bad injury, but every year that he was on the Sons,
- 34:16besides his rookie year, he averaged over 20 points a game
- 34:19with the Knicks. The first year he came over,
- 34:22played 78 games, averaged 25 points a game, was awesome.
- 34:26He was amazing that first year and after that he never averaged
- 34:3220 points a game for the rest of his career.
- 34:35So half of his career is like a very short peak, like you know
- 34:38what I mean? It was like an 8 year, pretty
- 34:41high, high type of guy. So we're saying like that's kind
- 34:44of, you know, like the Terrell Davis argument in the NFL,
- 34:48right? Terrell Davis had those 5 or 6
- 34:50big time, big time seasons, but that was it, right?
- 34:54Do whether his injury or he just started later, a lot of people
- 34:57were against that. I know, Errol, you've talked
- 34:58about that. It's impact, you know, when it
- 35:01comes to those different things, like, you know, a lot of times
- 35:04the the stats don't reflect the impact that the player actually
- 35:07have. And I think when those judges
- 35:09get in those room and they're making those decisions, they're
- 35:11going to say, hey, did he in the game?
- 35:13And honestly he was like after the stretch 4.
- 35:16In the NBA, In the NBA, you need 10 great years and he did not
- 35:20have 10 great years. Why 10?
- 35:22Because that's to me, if you look at the talent that has gone
- 35:25into the Hall of Fame and you compare him 18 points a game,
- 35:29Derrick Rose averaged about 17 points a game and he's not going
- 35:32into the Hall of Fame. So he got hurt.
- 35:35He just took. His legs, I guarantee you his
- 35:38his seven or eight better best years are better than Amari
- 35:42Stoudemire. Anyone in MVP?
- 35:44Well, he was primary ball carrier, so should.
- 35:46Yeah, he should have. Ball handler.
- 35:50He was an MVP. Yes, he was.
- 35:52I'm not taking that away from him, but I'm saying he's the
- 35:54primary ball and the only guy on the team at the time.
- 35:59I'm going. Amari 4/4 time second team, all
- 36:02NBA, one time first team. Derrick.
- 36:06Rose, you got a ballot like football is the first ballot.
- 36:09Derrick. Yeah, he just entering.
- 36:11Derrick Rose had a better career than.
- 36:13Amari not first ballot Yeah, I agree Derrick Rose did have a
- 36:16better career than Amari, but you never know we'll see Maybe
- 36:18Rose gets into well baseball let Harold Baines in.
- 36:21So if you know if you ever played for that was.
- 36:23Because of Tony Larussa. That was Tony.
- 36:25Larussa happened. So the Mariners have this
- 36:29prospect that I've had in my dynasty league for a while now,
- 36:33and I've just known about them. But you never know how these
- 36:35guys turn out because they could be the best prospect in all of
- 36:38baseball for in half a year, and then they show up and they
- 36:42stink. Well, the Mariners don't seem to
- 36:45care. They're giving this guy called
- 36:46Emerson $95 million and they're not promoting him.
- 36:53He's still in AAA. It's six year deal, 95.
- 36:57They're eating again. They're trying to buy away.
- 37:00In baseball, you have those arbitration years where the
- 37:02team, you know, basically has you over a barrel.
- 37:05You don't make a lot of money. You got to beg and borrow.
- 37:07And just to get like 8,000,010 million, they're going to get
- 37:10them have more. But it eats away at his free
- 37:12agency years so that they get to keep them for some of his prime.
- 37:15A lot of teams are doing it, but nobody has done it.
- 37:19For somebody that has not played a single game in Major League
- 37:23Baseball, this is a little, little tough for me, for me to
- 37:27stomach. Carol, what do you think?
- 37:29Dial it up. Obviously they know something
- 37:32about this kid and how special he is and they're making sure
- 37:35that when he's ready for arbitration, they are in control
- 37:39of it. If they don't even have to worry
- 37:40about arbitration now because he's got a $95 million contract.
- 37:45We saw that Ronald Cunha got that contract.
- 37:47He got a 10 year, $100 million contract and he's been up and
- 37:51down and injury prone, but when he is on the field, he's as good
- 37:54as anybody. I think this is a good move for
- 37:56Seattle. Obviously he's a young, talented
- 37:59player. He's going to be called up very,
- 38:01very soon. He's right now swimming in the
- 38:04money and he's probably very, very happy.
- 38:06But is he when he's ready to become a free agent years and
- 38:10years away? His his best years are gone and
- 38:13the and the Mariners are right now smiling because if this kid
- 38:17turns into the player they think he's going to be, it's a win win
- 38:20for them. So very.
- 38:21Interesting deal. Yeah, I've always had high
- 38:23potential with him, so I he's the one that I think will
- 38:25definitely be a dynamic player. It's interesting fish.
- 38:28This is where I wanted to get it.
- 38:30You see these teams do it with pitchers a lot more where
- 38:32they're trying to give the innings limits and send them
- 38:34back down. You don't see it as much with
- 38:36the hitters nowadays, and that's where that's maybe more of a
- 38:40sign of why it was surprising that they did it this quickly.
- 38:42But I do think you'll come up well, relatively quickly.
- 38:44They'll probably play the control game.
- 38:46But again, it just shows how flawed the arbitration system
- 38:48is. That's one of the biggest thing
- 38:49that needs to change with how minor league players have been
- 38:52treated for a while. And now you're seeing these
- 38:54teams, these goods, I guess you could say second to your market,
- 38:57Seattle pays guy. They think they're like 12th or
- 38:5811th payroll wise. And you're seeing that's the new
- 39:01process that I think these teams are taking over with to counter
- 39:04this very flawed arbitration system.
- 39:07I mean, I'm pretty sure you're not keeping a guy who makes $17
- 39:09million a year in the minors for very long, right?
- 39:13You know, that's, that's basically what we're saying.
- 39:14So, well, it's interesting. We'll see if he's any good.
- 39:17I hope he is. For the sake of my fantasy team,
- 39:19let's get out of baseball and go back to basketball.
- 39:22Oh, Errol, this what a what a beautiful story this whole
- 39:26Dallas saga has become. Now Mark Cuban came out on
- 39:31Tuesday in a podcast called the Intersections Podcast says I
- 39:36don't regret selling. We're talking about selling The
- 39:38Mavericks. He still has 27% of The
- 39:42Mavericks ownership but obviously no longer controls
- 39:45anything, doesn't have ownership control stake.
- 39:48So I don't regret regret selling.
- 39:50I regret who I sold to. I made a lot of mistakes in the
- 39:54process and I'll leave it at that.
- 39:56Now he made money. He said nothing really changes
- 39:58except his bank account. He thought at least, and then
- 40:02when he got. Into the position, they stopped
- 40:05listening to him, they hired Nico Harrison, they got rid of
- 40:09Luka Doncic and have bottomed out even with number one overall
- 40:14pick Cooper flag that they lucked into somehow.
- 40:17Wink, wink, Errol. There's nothing and there's no
- 40:22way of putting into words is he was all about the money he
- 40:25wanted to swim in the money. He didn't at the time, he didn't
- 40:28care who he was selling it to. And then when he realized he had
- 40:31no power, no control, and they were going to ruin this
- 40:33organization and team and they were all about a casino because
- 40:36that's all they wanted. That's why they bought the team.
- 40:39They they moved on Chick because they thought, hey, you know
- 40:42what, we move him, we can figure out ways to bring in a casino to
- 40:46Dallas. It didn't work.
- 40:48It didn't sell to the NBA. It didn't sell to anybody or
- 40:51whoever. So I I honestly don't believe
- 40:55that he regrets it. He's trying to buy them back
- 40:58because he knew at the time that this helped him grow his name,
- 41:03helped him put him center stage as an owner.
- 41:06Look at all the agreements. Look at all the different things
- 41:09that he has done in the past. Look at the Shark Tank and
- 41:11everything. Nobody would have known who he
- 41:13was until he bought The Mavericks and he controlled The
- 41:17Mavericks. He would have just been another
- 41:18billionaire. Then he he became Mark Cuban,
- 41:21the billion dollar owner that owned the Dallas Mavericks, who
- 41:24by the way, sold it to an organized, sold it to a a family
- 41:27that absolutely had nothing to do with basketball and didn't
- 41:30care about the basketball team. I don't think he regrets it.
- 41:33He's happy now he's trying to buy it back from them.
- 41:36It's pathetic. It's, it's really pathetic.
- 41:40I, I don't even know, like where to begin.
- 41:43I guess you begin with the fact that they made the worst trade
- 41:46in basketball history a year after, not even a full year.
- 41:49I think Errol, after that, he sold the team.
- 41:52They took him out of all communication.
- 41:55They got rid of their franchise player who just took them, just
- 41:58took them to the championship, to the finals, right.
- 42:02They didn't, you know, they didn't win, but you don't get
- 42:05rid of a guy who just carried you on his back.
- 42:09All right? Is he great defensively?
- 42:11No, he's not great defensively. Should he should he work on his
- 42:14body more than he does in the offseason?
- 42:16Yes, he should. Is he still a top five player in
- 42:18the NBA and project to be so for the next 10 years or or 8 to 10
- 42:22years? Yes, he probably does.
- 42:24He's a top three, he's a top three player and he probably
- 42:27wins the MVP. The way this Laker team is
- 42:30playing at the tail end of the season, everybody's saying it
- 42:32that he has jumped over webbing Yama and all the other guys.
- 42:36It's Shay Shay and and and they're actually they say he
- 42:39jumped over. What's his name again from the
- 42:42Nuggets Yokich? Yokich they jumped the boat.
- 42:45They jump. It's either him or Shay.
- 42:47Now everybody's saying. The odds are weird though,
- 42:49because they're taking into account like they might not play
- 42:51enough games to qualify in the odds right now.
- 42:54So it's just it's hard to really figure.
- 42:57It's not really what I would look at to see who's having the
- 42:59best season because it's got that weird part of it.
- 43:01But I'll say this, they're all having great seasons and Luka's
- 43:04amazing and Cooper flags not having the season Luke is having
- 43:08and they. Had he will.
- 43:10But but they didn't have to do this.
- 43:12When it was a league thing. They shot themselves in the foot
- 43:17by doing this deal. It's the worst thing anyone ever
- 43:19did. And Cuban feels so bad because
- 43:22immediately, who would have thought immediately the thing
- 43:25that you spent so much time creating and building up, they
- 43:28would just light it on fire within a year.
- 43:31What a what a joke. And I do feel bad for maybe they
- 43:33will let him get back into majority stake at some point,
- 43:36but I think there's just too much.
- 43:37Money keep him away from the game.
- 43:38Keep him away from the game. He sold the team for money.
- 43:40Keep him away from the game. Well, I think it's just another
- 43:43case of he thought the grass would grin on the other side.
- 43:46I don't think that. I think the issue is that he
- 43:48felt like he was gaining something by setting the team
- 43:51and he ended up didn't he didn't like Earl said earlier, he
- 43:54didn't realize how much of his identity was wrapped up into The
- 43:57Mavericks. So yeah, the the the bottom line
- 43:59was a dollar. But once you get on it, once you
- 44:02once your money hit your bank account and you don't got no
- 44:04notes the show for it's like, hey, I'm lost out here.
- 44:09I need some. I need something to do.
- 44:10Like you can make all these business deals, but that's not
- 44:12going to bring you the fame that you was getting for the Dallas
- 44:14Mavericks. And regardless to Luca, they had
- 44:17a trade. That was the NBA move, which is
- 44:18the reason why I just circled back around and they got the
- 44:20number one pick. Like the Lakers needed somebody
- 44:24young that was going to be the face of the organization because
- 44:27the Brown was out the door. And you go, you look over there,
- 44:29Boston got two young stars. So there's no way the league is
- 44:33just going to allow Boston to have two young stars and the
- 44:35Lakers don't have none. The revenue's going to go
- 44:38straight to Boston. But at the end of the day, I I
- 44:41think that, you know, he just lost.
- 44:44He thought it was going to be greener on the other side and he
- 44:47fell for it and took the bait. I don't think they're going to
- 44:49give him no majority of ownership neither.
- 44:51I don't think he have enough capital to do that.
- 44:52Well, it's definitely going to play out, but they they suck,
- 44:56they're bad, you know, and they were in the title game title.
- 45:00I'm sorry, the finals, fighting for a title two years ago, it's
- 45:04just crazy. Let's get into.
- 45:07It's crazy. They're not going back now.
- 45:09No way, no way, not for a while. They got to get lucky this one.
- 45:13I was talking to Speedy about this earlier.
- 45:16So umpire CB Buckner, who a lot of people are not huge fans of
- 45:22Ferrell, but this was an especially tough week for Mr.
- 45:27Buckner. So starting back on the 28th
- 45:31during a Reds, Red Sox, Reds game, six out of eight of his
- 45:35strikes were overturned by the ABS system, including two
- 45:38consecutive strike three calls. He was at first base a couple of
- 45:42days later and he called the Brewers Jake Bowers out for
- 45:46missing the bag. But the replay showed that he
- 45:49clearly had touched the bag, making the managers just laugh
- 45:53at him. And then he gets, I believe it
- 45:57was 2 days ago, gets hit with a foul tip, gets hit so bad, I
- 46:01think he got a concussion. They had to take him out.
- 46:03And that's him just kind of being carried off after one of
- 46:07the worst weeks of work I think an umpire's ever had.
- 46:11You know, Sands, you know, some of the really bad injuries some
- 46:14have had over the years. But look, is this the beginning,
- 46:18Errol, of the true accountability for officials?
- 46:22Or is just just this a guy who's got to hang it up, dial it up?
- 46:28I think he needs to hang it up. Angel Hernandez was, he's been
- 46:32so bad over the years and finally retires.
- 46:35And this has been a big problem for baseball.
- 46:38But I, I don't think you need electronical, you know, umpires.
- 46:43To me, this has been part of the game.
- 46:44People have made mistakes in the past.
- 46:46How many times have we seen it this happens in baseball.
- 46:50This guys old. Maybe he need they maybe they
- 46:53need to bring some younger umpires into the game.
- 46:56Obviously he's an educated guy that understands the game.
- 46:59He just can't see the game. Maybe he's blind, maybe you lost
- 47:02some eyesight. Maybe he doesn't know the game
- 47:04like he used to know the game. This is, we have had umpires on
- 47:07this show. They said it's not easy.
- 47:09You don't see everything. Sometimes you're blindsided and
- 47:13you take responsibility after the fact.
- 47:15Unfortunately, the managers and and and what you see on now,
- 47:20there's so much instant replay. You can see everything on social
- 47:23media. It's right in front of you.
- 47:25It's unfortunate because you're screwed.
- 47:27This isn't the 60's, the 70s and 80s, 80s where you don't have,
- 47:31you don't have a, a, what are they called a Megatron or
- 47:33whatever, that jumbo Tron, jumbo Tron or something like that.
- 47:35You could see every single play 24 hours a day and and you could
- 47:39watch it on television. I It's unfortunate, but it
- 47:42happens. Yeah, we talked about a few
- 47:44weeks ago with the the twins incident with Derrick Shelton
- 47:47that would last D as last D has another one that's been under a
- 47:49lot of scrutiny for a while. I think Stevie Buckner's been
- 47:51making some really questionable home play call for a while now.
- 47:54It hasn't been just this year. He's definitely getting on the
- 47:56oldest side. And I'll I'll describe what I
- 47:58was talking to you earlier, Fish.
- 47:59Maybe these these older umpires, they already know they're going
- 48:02to be clown as it is. And you hear you hear the organ
- 48:05music mocking them. A lot of the time these umpires,
- 48:07if they get these calls wrong or they get a call overturned and
- 48:10maybe he's just going on with it like a publicity, he's going to
- 48:12be probably retiring suit anyway they.
- 48:14Should, why not roll with, they should just walk away and, and
- 48:18try to stop with these electronical umpires or whatever
- 48:21they call the ABS, because what it's doing is it's, it's now
- 48:24getting the younger fans to say, you know what?
- 48:27We don't need umpires anymore. Let's use robotic embolisms or
- 48:31whatever the hell it is. We don't need it anymore and
- 48:34it's ruining the game because what makes the game so special
- 48:38is it's base. It's it's America's pastime.
- 48:41And now all of a sudden you're pushing away the most important
- 48:44thing that makes baseball stick out and that's umpires.
- 48:47And now you're just saying, oh, you know what, we're just going
- 48:49to use computer systems. We're just going to go automatic
- 48:52strike zones and all that other stuff.
- 48:54It doesn't help the game of baseball.
- 48:55Yeah, it's, it's unfortunately going to be stuck there for a
- 48:57while as these other sports continue to advance into it.
- 49:00The international sports been kind of ahead of the curve with
- 49:02some of the systems they have with tennis, with soccer, a lot
- 49:05of that stuff. But again, now baseball's trying
- 49:08to do it and they're trying to be a traditionalist at the same
- 49:09time, being a young thing. And that's where you have these
- 49:11conflicts. All right, last story of the
- 49:13night, boys. We got one last thing here, and
- 49:17here it is. Oh man, I told you it was going
- 49:20to be a doozy arrow when I told you I didn't want to tell you
- 49:23more about it. But did you hear about the
- 49:26quadruple amputee cornhole champion who was arrested for
- 49:35murdering his teammate and then with his other two teammates in
- 49:41the van, drove off with the dead body and eventually dumped it
- 49:46off somewhere? Again?
- 49:46Has no arms, no legs. Quadruple amputee cornhole
- 49:51player arrested for murder. Here's the story then.
- 49:53The guy who has been documented multiple times on ESPN because
- 49:58of how amazing his ability to play cornhole with no arms or
- 50:02legs. Mr. Weber, obviously.
- 50:06What's his full name? I don't have his full name.
- 50:08Well, Weber, he was in a Tesla where he shot the guy who had an
- 50:13argument that he allowed his friends borrow his guns and
- 50:17didn't like that the guy allowed his friends to steal his guns.
- 50:21Stop letting his friends steal guns.
- 50:24Well, Mr. Weber said that it was self-defense that he had to kill
- 50:28this other guy in the car. The other two passengers are not
- 50:31necessarily going along with his story.
- 50:33He was arrested for first degree murder, second degree murder,
- 50:37and firearms offenses. They said he's a flight risk
- 50:42because he had fled from Maryland to Virginia when this
- 50:45happened again, he said he was acting in self-defense.
- 50:48He is held without bonds scheduled for his hearing on May
- 50:526th. Errol, when was the last time
- 50:58you had an encounter with a quadruple amputee, let alone a
- 51:05murderous quadruple amputee? Let alone a murderous quadruple
- 51:11amputee? Championship athlete?
- 51:14Dial it up. First of all, if you have no
- 51:16hands, how do you use a gun and shoot somebody it?
- 51:19Makes look. That's the picture of them
- 51:20doing. It it's crazy.
- 51:23I mean, it's absolutely ridiculous.
- 51:24And then you're, you're fighting and arguing about weapons.
- 51:28And that's why you killed him. None of this story makes any
- 51:32sense. And you ruin your life.
- 51:34You're, you're a champion. You're, you're a cornhole
- 51:37champion. You have no arms, no legs.
- 51:39What are you going to do in jail?
- 51:40I mean, besides be somebody else's bitch.
- 51:43I mean, how are you going to defend yourself?
- 51:48I see some guns in this. I mean, how, how does this make
- 51:51any sense? Well, you'll be playing.
- 51:53Somebody's going to be playing a lot of corn hole with him.
- 51:57More like, more like they'll be trying to do skeet shooting and
- 52:00in prison they'll have that kind of lead going so.
- 52:12You know what? There's just no words.
- 52:14I think we just need to end it at that.
- 52:16That was dial it up you. Definitely can't buy a story if
- 52:21he's that good. Of a short sugar.
- 52:21What you're describing. Mr. Weber is going to be caught
- 52:25in somebody's web. Hey, Mr. Weber, you want to play
- 52:32some cornhole tonight? I got the I got the top bunk.
- 52:39As long as they're not telling them to take it like a champion.
- 52:42Oh boy. What a.
